Facebook uses "personal targeting" in advertising based on surfing behavior and history. I do not mind that. I am now noticing that my private messages (using the message option on the home page) are obviously being monitored as well. I am getting advertising referring directly to things discussed only in private messages where there has been definitely no further search activity regarding the subject. To be precise, I discussed the merits of Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil with a friend. Within 24 hours I am seeing advertising about both of them on my Facebook page. Coincidence? I don't think so. Isn't this illegal?

On February 3, I made a comment on the Julia Gillard site regarding a wannabe liberal. I was suspended, this did not breach facebook rules, etc. Then, over the last 48 hours, first 4 times, someone keeps cutting me off. I change the passwords, it happens again and again and again, I've gone to the help center site many times, and it doesn't work, it's totally inappropriate. Then I get back on and someone complains again, etc.

About three months ago, Facebook sent me a message that I had befriended people I didn't know, which is not true. I was not allowed on the Facebook page unless I signed that I knew it was wrong to "befriend" people I didn't know. I signed it back then, but got another message today, with the same request. I didn't sign it because I haven't been sending out requests to anyone I didn't know. In fact, I had not sent out many friend requests at all. I wonder if it's a virus, but still, Facebook shouldn't be requiring that someone sign something unless they can prove that the user is sending out too many friend requests.

I'm not happy with Facebook. It keeps saying that I'm sending requests to people I don't know, and that's not true. And it keeps blocking me from adding people. If you, guys, don't stop that, then I will delete my account and find something way better! It's annoying. Do something about it now! It says that I have to add people from my school, and that's what I'm doing. I'm adding my family. Get this straightened out, please. If you don't, then I'm leaving Facebook and never coming back to it!

I cannot receive post from all my friends. I sent a message to two of them last night and now I receive post from one. I think it is the stinking timeline. No one likes it. Why don't you remove it? I am not the only one in my friend's circle that is having this problem. We can go to Google Plus. Please remove timeline for the ones that hate it! Thanks.

I've been using my Facebook account for over two years. I'm a center of my circle so many people that have been on my friend's list have invested time on Facebook because of me. Now, I am trying to connect to my account as usual. All of a sudden, it is now requiring me to enter my phone number in order for me to continue using my account. **. That's like an ultimatum. If I won't provide my private info then I won't be able to log in or all the time I've invested is a waste. That's a war on Zuckerberg! I won't let Facebook to hold on to my account info without my permission. I tried to contact the support from phone and they won't help over the phone and asked me to go to Facebook's help page. I tried to contact Facebook's help from their support page but no answer, ever. I want to go to Facebook office and show them what it's like to ** with me unless if they help terminating my account. I found out that on Facebook, this ** happens often and then people use your profile pictures to personify someone else! Don't use Facebook!

My soon to be ex-wife stole my FB account, password and email. She is sending nasty messages to friends and family. I made a new one and would like to delete my old one.

I had to buy a new laptop because my old one broke. Facebook would not recognize me on my new laptop. I had a tech-savvy friend come to help me and Facebook made us create a second account. What has happened to my other 2 accounts and the personal data included in them? Their complaints system is pretty stupid. It allows for complaints from other countries but insists on having a US state included in the address. I do not live in a US state. I am getting emails from women wanting me to be their ** on Facebook. I am not a member of Facebook, yet listed on Facebook. I am a woman and do not want to be with a woman. I am flooded by contact. I tried to log in to my Facebook account today and received a message from Facebook that my account has been suspended for 14 days due to sending multiple friend requests to people that I do not know. I didn't send any requests for a while. It's not the first time I am blocked. Previous time, I was blocked when I sent a suggestion to like my business page only to my friends (by a few portions, not even to all of them in one time).

I asked those that used to know me, know me little or plain know me to be my friend. They, without my knowledge, have told Facebook staff, who work for money, that this is bad to them. How fussy that is although I am not so concerned because a dying person is really a concern, not this. You allowed some lady to blow my email up with her and her group. I received my account to be suspended. I answered everyone who facebooked me only. Look into the situation. She kept saying someone was harassing her and kept opening this page about how long she was in business and a lot of nonsense. I am an author. I use my Facebook page because authors and producers and friends are on that site. I would like to talk to an attorney because the only other issue could be the solar splashes, but if someone made a complaint I would like to confront the accuser.

I tried to sign into my Facebook account and when I typed in my password, it said it was incorrect. So I tried again. I know for a fact I used the correct password. I tried to complete a security check for Facebook to send me a code and I entered my email address and my cell number and they never send me the code to my email address. I have a choice for them to send me a code by email or by calling me. For days, I have been asking and that turned into weeks. I got one code by phone so when I answered my cell phone and got the code, I left the page to put the code in, and when I tried to go back to that page, it was gone. So that was my fault, I guess. I’m still trying to get a code day after day now using my laptop and I get no response.

I was contacted by Family Tree, and had 37 family members that were posted, and it stated on the postings to friend them first, so I did, and then it came up that I am restricted for 14 days for contacting non-friends. I am connecting family, not friends, and I will not check your box. You need to check the box to make sure you understand that this is my family members, and it is okay to connect with family.

Logging in today, I received the next escalation in FB blocks, and this time for 30 days. There is just one tiny little catch: I am not sending out FB friend requests and have not since the first warning. There is nothing preventing anyone from going to anyone else's profile account and filing a false abuse report. The link is available to all. The thing is public and FB takes these reports of abuse at face value. Like who would possibly lie to the morons on FB?!

My brother gave me his password to his Facebook account long before he died, so that whenever he couldn't get to his computer he would just get me to log on and do whatever he wanted done. He always wanted me to have access to his Facebook so he gave me the password himself (how else would I have it!?). He died on January 3, 2010 and I kept his Facebook going for him. I'm very, very dissatisfied with what Facebook is doing, rather, playing with my account. I saw a link on one of my friends profile that Facebook offers 'What your name says about you?'. I clicked in it and typed my name. Twice, an account has been created with my name. The account has my full name and my date of birth correct. Twice, I have had to remove the account. I want to know who is doing this. I do not want a Facebook account and Facebook makes it difficult to remove an account.

I had a futile attempt at getting any response to asking the “dictates” of Facebook policy of banning a user from asking for “friendships”. Hopefully, coming to this site will satisfy my and others inquiries on this issue.

The pages are people against Jaci ** for being a horse thief and killer, Stolen Help Find, Justice for Credit Card, KSLA 12 News, Justice for a Horse Named Credit Card, Banner News, Justice for Credit Card and other abused animals, We Just Ride for Joy, Rate my Horse Pro. I have been reporting these pages to Facebook since December 2011 and the only page that has been taken down was the page People for Lynching Jaci **.

I registered for Facebook and was near completion when they requested for my mobile number to authenticate that I'm a human and not a machine. I texted in my mobile number. I don't know why, but Facebook is showing my account as temporarily unavailable. When I try to log in, they are asking for identity proof upload. That also I upload. I signed up for Facebook and did not use it for a long time. Recently, I had a need to go on (i.e. The Ellen show or PCH.com), the message that I got that I was block or something very similar. Please check their site for exact wording. I called to try to get it fixed and they wanted to charge me $40.00 for fixing the problem. I feel they are trying to rip me off. I have nothing wrong to warrant their reasoning behind this action. Can you please look into it and find out exactly what went wrong? They are giving no explanation.

I have tried to report and have search for weeks trying to report and the times I sent Facebook an email no reply. There are underage children on Facebook ever posting their age and country. I have tried to report it so it can be fixed but just get ignored we need some action. **, the miscrts app on Facebook knows 90% of their players are underage but won’t do anything about it. They even let them do surveys for virtual concurrency. Please protect the children. I have been given infractions for trying to notify them. I'm trying to look my friend up. I have his first and last name but I can't find him. So I was with him and we looked me up and he couldn't find me either. We are sure we have all the names and everything spelled right and neither of us blocked each other, so then what's the deal?

Facebook errors and restrictions - Every time I log into Facebook, I am placed on a new 30-day period of Facebook restriction for supposedly sending friend requests. However, I have been on 30-day restrictions that have been reset for 4 months now. So there is no way I can even send a friend request to even get a new restriction. I have sent friend requests in the past for game issues. I play Mafia Wars and people suggest friends to me, however, on restriction, I can't do anything but log in and look at feeds, no chats, no messages or anything. It just got reset again a few minutes ago, when I haven't sent anything at all.

Account suspended for 30 days for sending friend requests to people - Facebook keeps suspending my account saying I'm sending friend requests to people I don't know, which is untrue. I am seeking some immediate assistance, to have a former friend to stop bullying me on Facebook. It takes forever to download Farmville/Pioneerville. When you go to accept gifts, it takes you to Farmville or Pioneerville or it says the gift can not be sent now. When you do finally get on either one of those sites, you get kicked out shortly saying you need to refresh your page. There are entirely too many things you have to do to finish one project. Example: 5 levels to get to finish on project and they aren't simple things to do, it takes forever! Especially in Frontierville. Farmville is getting to be the same way. If you don't have a life or job and can sit around and play all day, then okay. But for most of us, we work and come home for some stress relief and all we get is added stress. This is ridiculous. Please stop making so many levels to complete for these projects, you no sooner make a new project and 2 days later, there are 2 more projects to work on.

Shortly after the Winter holidays, someone made a false complaint that I was requesting friends that I don't know and it happened again today (February 26th 2011). I don't know who my harasser is and I have never requested a friend whom I didn't know. Now, I am banned from requesting friends for one week.

I received 21 text messages from a Jamie ** from Facebook and in order to stop them, the message stated that I needed to login to Facebook and select stop receiving messages. First of all, I don't know this person and secondly, I do not have or want a Facebook account and thirdly, why should I have to log into Facebook to stop someone I do not know from sending me these irritating messages. I am livid these messages went on most of the day. I will contact my cell phone provider to make sure this is not affecting my bill.

Facebook has decided to block me from adding people for seven days. Apparently, I am adding people I do not know. I find this funny and ludicrous because I deny more than I add. I have researched this and apparently I'm not the only one having this issue.

I got on to my farm in Farmville and I was missing my horse barn around Christmas and it was full of the Christmas horses and many others. Now, I just got on the farm and my granary was gone and it keeps telling me I lost the page. Now, come on, please help me out. My account was blocked without any warning. It took me a lot of time to find out as I didn’t know that this could happen. So I posted some things a lot of times because they would not appear on my wall. Suddenly, I realized that whatever I wanted to post on my wall didn’t appear. At least you should get a warning! I didn’t do anything wrong at all. I just know that one person was angry at me (not on Facebook, in reality) and to take revenge, that person probably reported abuse. How can I protect myself from such a thing? Facebook has to see that I didn’t do anything!

I am very angry, upset, and very disappointed with Facebook. There is a guy there named, Jerry **. He had been making a lot of fake profiles on Facebook. There were over 13 of them. He used my last name too, and has threatened all my friends there. He told them to delete me as a friend, because he wants me badly. I don't know this guy. I have never meet him. I answered an ad of his food business. I wanted to buy food from him from the computer, but it was a scam. He started calling my house non-stop, day and night, making awful threats towards me. I call the police, and they couldn't arrest him, because he's in the states. I have taped him a lot of times. I stopped answering his calls. Now, when he called me yesterday, I tried to report this guy on Facebook, and Facebook blocked my account. I couldn't get into my account. When he send me a threat message on my inbox yesterday, that was the same day I got blocked out of Facebook, Feb 21.

My ex-partner has changed my password several times then closed my account. I've have been trying to speak to a real person but no luck. I've lose photo files and contacts and nothing is getting done.

Illegal Use of Facebook: The mother of my 3 children is using accounts (several in numbers) to send messages of defamation and slander about me to my friends. Scott ** is Scott **, my son. He is 11 and it is one account she uses. Dana and Krystelle ** are others, as well as Scott **, Dana **, and Krystelle**. Her many accounts under Amanda ** and Amanda ** are also being used. My children are 11, 9 and 8 years old, and it is illegal to have an account under the age of 13, or so I am told. Please someone needs to help. Put a stop to her behavior.

I am really disappointed at Facebook. I joined Facebook in December 2011. From December up to now, my account has been blocked three times. The only reason they mentioned, is that I tried to add unknown people. How does Facebook know these kinds of friends, are real friends or not? Sometimes it can happen by mistake. I have been told that I have sent too many requests. It shouldn't matter how many I send in a day. If you want to be my friend say yes, if you don't, say no. This is the second time Facebook has suspended my ability to send friend requests. The first time I attributed it to making a mistake or thinking I recognized someone or maybe even that someone had forgotten me. This time, I make no excuses for Facebook. I have not friend requested anyone that I don't know. It's very confusing. If they don't tell me who has made this ridiculous report, how can I avoid this person? I would really just like to ask Facebook how a person can defend themselves in these instances. Aren't you supposed to be innocent until proven guilty in this country? I keep getting the deal that I am banned for x amount of time. This time is 30 days from sending friends request to people I do not know. This is not true. I had a pop-up that asked me how I knew a person today and I have known Kaye for years and years, I worked with her and lived in the same small town for years. My ex boyfriend and I have mutual friends on Facebook. It was a nasty breakup. After the breakup, he unfriended me. Thats is OK. I left town then moved back. I reported to Facebook that someone that I used to have as friend, was promoting illegal drug use. This person is a public figure. His name is Henry **, and he works for Red Model Management. I purchased a new iPhone and Facebook would not allow login saying password error. After a week of nightmares, Facebook tells me to add cookies, go to computer and many options that continually fail. I am low vision, no home computer and iPhone allows the use of magnifier. I am not the only one being discriminated against. I don’t understand Facebook. I don’t know the Facebook people that friend request me all the time on Facebook. Well, apparently I got a report that I been friending people I don’t know as well and I guess I got in trouble from FB. It doesn’t make sense to me because I get “people you may know” from FB all the time. So, am I supposed to not ask them to be my FB or another question is how do they think I came about over a thousand FBs?

FB blamed me for being hacked, and locked me out for good. I tried everything to get back on, only to find myself going around in the same circle. I was told to change all my email passwords. I did. I was told to change my FB password every time I went around. So, I quit - but wait, they won't let you quit, you have to be on a page, logged in to hit the accounts menu. Good trick, if you're locked out. I spent lots of time, (giving time) to think about all the info I stupidly put on and is available for the picking. The extra volume of traffic emails is amazing! Catch 22 - a member but not allowed on or allowed to quit. Is FB a scam? Maybe! Now I hear Goggle is trying something similar. I am social networked out. I have my friends' email, why did I join? FB provides a list you should contact. I did and was barred for days, weeks at a time. Now I can't even get on or out. I want out and I want to erase everything I had on my site.

Why is it that Facebook can shut down sites which publish photos of mothers breastfeeding but allows publishing of photos of brutal and violent acts towards animals published in abundance? A pathetic attempt to control this by reliance on users of Facebook to report such photos and videos is not good enough. Facebook (FB) archived our Volunteer Group with no explanation. They gave us no one to contact to work through the problem and took us from 1800 people to 18. Facebook is now beginning the process of demanding your cell phone number before you can access your account. They then will send you a code to enter. If you don't have a cell, then a landline must be entered and someone "will call you." But of course many are not receiving that call! All in the alleged name of security! I have a group that I started that is mentioned on a town’s website by the mayor who also shares administrative rights and do not want the group to fall apart because I, its founder, lost my account. Much of what is mentioned in this group is historical in nature.

I'd like to make a complaint about Facebook's customer service. I am trying to claim an SEO friendly username to my business Facebook's page for a few days now. Firstly, they request a minimum of 25 likes. Perfect! When you have the 25 likes and you want to claim the username, they request a mobile phone number to send an SMS code in order to provide the username. Okay! If they send to you the SMS, it would be amazing! However, the SMS is never sent and you cannot advertise your page with such an ugly and long address, which has no SEO purpose. No easy access to phone numbers or emails to send your request. And when you finally find a phone number and email, your requests are ignored! Frustrating situation.
