A person that I am familiar with but do not know personally has posted a very hateful and distasteful comment about me on their Facebook. This comment has defamed me as a person! The comment is also showing up on Google for anyone and everyone to see. This is not right! I am a professional working woman and have my reputation to protect. This has caused me severe distress and emotional issues. It is affecting my life on a daily basis. This comment could cause me to lose out on a better job in the future, and can affect possible future relationships with others. I am so distraught and hurt by this and something must be done about it. This person that wrote this comment about me doesn't know me as a person either.

On my Facebook, this thing on here won't even show me the normal home page. I hate the timeline but it won't even show me that. I can't even see all of the comments and it won't even let me play games! Please change it back.

In October 2011 I followed an advertisement on Facebook (world poetry). It had been on Facebook for a while and was still there until last week:

He does nothing but put tasteless things on this site, (1 of which was removed 9/2/12, called "Top Gear", using stills from the BBC Programme, and endorsing drug use). He also abuses local musicians and also uses his other site "The Deep", also from leek, to abuse and upset people. This man should be removed from Facebook.

I have only asked people related to me and friends to be my Facebook friends. Now, I have been told that I have to wait 7 days before I can make a friendship request. My guess is that my ex-wife have complained about me since I asked her to be a friend. The following day, this started.

I am not allowed to invite my friends into my social network. I am being blocked by Facebook for over two months now. They say they have received a complaint, that I am inviting people I don't know to join my friend network, but I only invite those whom I know, or are recommended by Facebook. I believe someone is reporting me falsely, in order to harm and/or discredit me. I feel I am being censored. I am also blocked from sending messages because Facebook said they has received reports that I am a spammer. I have never spammed anyone. I am being defamed on Facebook.

On Monday, February 6, I tried to log into my Facebook account when (after putting in my email and password correctly), a security check came up onto the screen saying Facebook had sent a verification code to my mobile phone and to enter it in order to continue. The problem is this: I do not have that phone number anymore and didn't register a new one (I don't have one and the number I used for this is my boyfriend's number because a number was required). I went to the "help" center and found where I could file a report. However, in order to file a report, you must log into Facebook and I cannot do it because I can't receive a security verification text because I no longer have the mobile number linked to my Facebook account.

Facebook (FB) archived our Volunteer Group with no explanation. They gave us no one to contact to work through the problem and took us from 1800 people to 18. We had a great email list before joining Facebook and were able to get info out to our members about upcoming projects and events. But when Facebook came along, we trusted that they would stand by their product and not play god with our members. Because of the ease of use, we came to rely heavily on FB to get the word out, and now that they have disabled our group, we have no way to get our volunteers to help the community groups that we serve.

I just signed on to see that was blocked from doing friend request for 30 days and I just got done with being blocked for 14 days. The only people I request are old classmates and family. I cannot help if old classmates do not remember me but I do not stalk them by asking over and over. Today, I went on my cousin’s page because he said he found a lot of our family from other countries so I sent out a lot of friend request today for family only. Of course, I tried to add ** in my name so they would know a lot though many of them already knew and accepted my request.

When I tried to signed into Facebook at approximately 19 hours on the 5th Feb 2012, I had message displayed on FB's log in page. I very, very rarely add friends and to the best of my knowledge, I have not sent more than five friends requests in the last few months. I have sent 2-3 friend requests that are associated with my group that I belong to for VDS (The Fates). I have however almost 100 friend requests to accept which are sitting in my box. This has made me extremely angry and upset. Why has this been displayed? And what supporting evidence have you to verify this claim? Please respond. Below is the message that you sent to me, "Friend Request Notice. We received feedback that you sent friend requests to people you don't know, which isn't allowed on Facebook. Please only send friend requests to people you know, like classmates, family, friends and colleagues. Otherwise, you could be blocked from sending friend requests."

I was on Facebook going down the feed to find stuff for my Zynga farm and this picture was on there that was very vulgar. It was posted by Malamie *.

Facebook is a current issue because I think that crooks in the administration of Facebook do not like my subject areas, which tend to be law enforcement-oriented or public policy-oriented and are discriminating against me. I suspect other users of Facebook do not have this issue.

I am also having an issue with Facebook. I am also inundated, on a daily basis, with other people I might know and might like to "friend" on Facebook. These are Facebook suggestions. I keep a very small circle of friends on this site and am happy with that. However, I do, very occasionally send friend requests when I see an old classmate, co-worker, etc. on these pages. I recently received a notification from Facebook that they had received a complaint that I was trying to friend people I didn't know. This is not true. I have never, to the best of my knowledge, ever sent a friend request to someone I didn't know. As I delved further into this, Facebook stated they had made this decision based on the "large" amount of friend requests I had sent that people had not responded to. I sincerely doubt that I have even sent ten requests to people I know during the past year. Furthermore, some of my requests have not been responded to--yet. Others might not recognize my married name.

Facebook have added a new security feature that I cannot use. It requests a mobile phone number, which can only be used for one account, and when I log into Facebook, it says it will send me a text message of the password I can use to log into my account. This is what their website says: "Why is Facebook asking me to confirm my identity by providing my phone number? This is a security measure to help ensure that Facebook remains a community of people using their real identities to connect and share. If you ever lose your password, you’ll also be able to use your mobile number to access your account. To access your Facebook account, just follow the on-site instructions to add your mobile phone number."

As soon as I opened my account, it asks me for verification but during verification, the product survey locks the verification and become impossible to get rid of it ,and a post from a site *** attacks my profile with nude pictures. Please help me.

My wall is blocked from sending messages to all my friends around the globe. This happened today, 6 AM, when I tried to send a message. I do not send any indecent, or filthy message on my wall page. I am a Christian, and send only scripture, or decent pictures of nature on Facebook. Please advise what steps to take. I will appreciate your help.

I just started a new Facebook page for my political campaign. Although, people are trying to "like" my page the total of "likes" does not exceed 11, but eventually 11 returns to 10. I am backed against a wall. Facebook is forcing me to say that I understand that I am not allowed to communicate with persons I do not know. If I have to say this to gain access to information and images I own on my page. I legally am admitting to committing a felony and punishable with prison. My address is being used as a false address. Adam **, also known as Adam **, is a convict of the Texas prison system - inmate number**. He is using my address on his contact information. He can be found in the Houston area as said above under Adam **. He does not nor has ever lived here. He is an ex-con Texas Dept. of Corrections and is homeless. He is using my address without permission and against a restraining order as well as prevention order ordered by the County of Harris County. I have asked him to remove it and he has not, will not. I do not have a problem with Facebook; it’s the website in FB called GirlsDateForFree. I join on Sunday 22nd of January. I was talking to someone called “lovingheart” who said he was from London. My first Amendment right to free speech is not respected by Facebook. Although, Facebook is a private company, it is still based in the U.S., as am I, and I should be able to share links, post comments and participate in social networking. Today (Wednesday, 01-25-2012), when sharing my views and a link on Facebook, a pop-up window appeared and explained that I was blocked from using the comments feature because I had over used the comments feature. Apparently, I was over using my free speech, and over did it in regards to free expression. Shouldn't a warning have appeared first, advising me that freedom was frowned upon on Facebook before I was blocked from participating in discussions?

I just do not like the timeline version of FB. And I heard that you are going to forcefully change all FB users to timeline version in 7 days. I do not like the "timeline" version at all. It does not help me to browse other people posts. Please let user decide if they want to use timeline version or not.

I have been on Facebook since 2007 and have never encountered a problem until now. I signed up for timeline and really liked it a lot. The Farmville stuff was all on one post with multiple requests. But the problem came when there was too much stuff and started deleting some things. Something went terribly wrong.I didn't like the way my Farmville stuff was going all over my newsfeed and looked into activity log and looked at features, show on timeline, etc.

I play the game Evony through your link from my page. But recently, I have been having problems on that game with a player and since then, I noticed that my links from your page to play that and other games on Facebook have started to lag severely to where my browser would freeze and I would have to restart it. The name of this player is Nero on that game. He has been reported several times on that game for hacking, cheating and harassing me and other players. So far Evony refuses to do anything about people who hack and harass others.

I was locked out of Facebook for reasons I barely can explain. My account ID is **** and username: ****. All her friends at school saw it. I have been banned from adding friends for a 14 day period for engaging in abusive spamming practices by trying to add too many friends at once according to Facebook. The truth is that I have not tried to add one friend within a three week period up to the date of this accusation. Further, aside from there being no proof here, there is no appeals process to dispute this. It's like Communism!

I'm continuously harassed by FB, for friend requests reported that I never made, to being blocked from adding new likes--including ads in their like/friend limits is a face I bet their advertisers don't know--with no instructions on how to remove likes in order to be able to continue using the FB network. Every week, before timeline, I had to delete hundreds of likes. Then it would block me again, to go back & find the supposedly deleted likes were back! With Timeline, there is no way to get to that edit likes area, so I am totally unable to access FB, or click on ads, as a result. Also, FB never responds in the community forums, or helps with these issues, nor does FB provide easy answers for obviously major usage problems with numerous pages of posts asking for help. FB is getting revenue from advertisers for clicks, and then penalizing FB users for ad clicks in their Individual user 5,000 total likes/friends limit. Advertisers need to know this; I no longer click ads I normally would click on, of this FB policy.

Facebook is now beginning the process of demanding your cell phone number before you can access your account. They then will send you a code to enter. If you don't have a cell, then a landline must be entered and someone "will call you." But of course many are not receiving that call! All in the alleged name of security! Facebook says it is to identify "you" and eliminate spam and fake accounts. Also, what if you don't have a phone? What if household members with separate FB accounts share the same home phone? Then 2 days later when I tried to sign in, I got a window that said leave a telephone number and I checked call because I don't text. I have left my phone number several times and keep getting "the site is too busy, try again". It is now 4 days and I still can't get signed in. I have been having nothing but problems from Facebook right from the start! Due to cancer and not being able to afford my phone anymore, I have been out of touch with all of my friends. I opened a Facebook account to get back in touch and let everyone know that I have not died yet. What a grief it has been! I had been disabled from the friend request feature for 7 days and directed to the rules page which does not stipulate how many friend requests you can send or how many in a time period. During this 7-day punishment of not being able to use the the friend request, I was cut off with a notice of a report that I sent friend requests to people I did not know and was extended to 14 days punishment.

I was told that I had won $35,000, and a new HP laptop from Facebook. They wanted me to send $350.00 up front, and my cash and laptop would be delivered within 6 hours, from the time they received my money. I did not send the money, but just wanted to know if this is a scam, because one of the girls that I play Farmville with, said that she did it, and received her money and laptop within 5 hours of sending her money. I wondered if she was in on the scam also.

As I was checking my messages, I noticed I had several messages under the 'other' tab, which were requests from people asking me to be their neighbors in some games I play on Facebook, although they were quite old, I still sent these people friend request to accept their request. About an hour later, when I came back on to Facebook, I had been logged out automatically, and when I logged back in, I found a warning from Facebook for sending friend requests to people I did not know, and given option to cancel the pending requests, which I declined, when I was redirected to another page regarding Facebook community safety, I was not amused to say the least. I sent the requests as a response to messages I had received. If FB just took the time to look these up (this is possible as all activities are visible to developers), then they would have saved themselves the time and effort of warning me, and saved me the stress and irritation of receiving such a warning!

Please restore to me my page. Andy ** hacked me and stole my face book page; he is a hacker. I reported him to the FBI when I gave them his name. He use his phone number; it says he works for you. If this is so where you can have people who work for you treating me and hacking me, that's wrong. Please help me. Give me my face book page. His IP address comes to anchike **. The FBI says this comes to your worker 1 646 597 2155. This is bad for he threatened to kill me and my family.

They stole my account, demanded photographic evidence to prove my identity which I refused to give them. Who do they think they are? They have stolen my photos and ID details.

I was blocked from my Facebook page mid conversation while chatting with a close friend for befriending others that I had not met in person. I am an elderly man of 60 and befriend anyone that chooses to be my friend, and have yet to complain about being unfriended. If others choose not to be my friend, that is their business, not Facebook’s. I would rather befriend someone I might have forgotten than let them think I had ill feelings toward them. I have a group that I started that is mentioned on a town’s website by the mayor who also shares administrative rights and do not want the group to fall apart because I, its founder, lost my account. Much of what is mentioned in this group is historical in nature.

Like so many others, I was banned for supposedly requesting too many friends. First of all, isn't Facebook a place to make friends and network? Then second, I do not request people unless we have mutual friends in common. How to fight this?

I got up this morning and saw that Facebook had answered my question as to why I was banned. They stated: “Your account has been disabled because you violated the Facebook Terms. It’s called Timeline. They trick us to into clicking on the new 'great page profile", and once you do, they will not let you go back to what you had before. This is not fair. My family cannot even get on my wall. I want my normal Facebook back. This is not right. Please help. I am not the only one. What can we do?

I can be typing a comment or just typing on Facebook page and none of the page will move up or down while I am typing. Sometimes a half to one-third a page and sometimes. When it does this I lose what I am typing.

Trolls and hackers took Facebook over and every time I post a comment of a photo I get suspended as many others do; however, nothing is done to them. If I report them too often I get a warning miss using the button controls. However, they can post nasty things on RIP pages and make nasty pages like, "I Think 9/11 was funny," and that page stays up along with many other hateful pages. I took photo shots of all this to back up what I’m saying is true. They also put up a photo shot of my family saying they could find me where ever I am (threat). I tried to report the cyber-bullying of a 13 year old girl, by using their abuse feedback form, and they were non-responsive. Apparently, Facebook appears to support bullying of children. I have tried to contact them directly by email, and by calling their head office, but I have not had any response.

Hey guys at Facebook, I added a phone to my account and it was shut off just recently and because I let a couple friends check their Facebook on my computer, it needs a conformation code that is set to be sent to my phone that is shut off and I cannot receive it. I'd like to make a complaint about Facebook's customer service. I am trying to claim an SEO friendly username to my business Facebook's page for a few days now. Firstly, they request a minimum of 25 likes. Perfect! When you have the 25 likes and you want to claim the username, they request a mobile phone number to send an SMS code in order to provide the username. Okay! If they send to you the SMS, it would be amazing! However, the SMS is never sent and you cannot advertise your page with such an ugly and long address, which has no SEO purpose. No easy access to phone numbers or emails to send your request. And when you finally find a phone number and email, your requests are ignored! Frustrating situation.

I send requests and the I get the threat of blocking my requests because there are "very few friends in common" Hey Facebook, don't tell me I can send them only to certain people!
