I used Webroot for a while. Until September 17 of 2025 the credit card showed up being charged, without my permission or my knowledge of it. I never remember as never reached that website for renewal or anything else on that night at 11:56 pm before 17th. I was already in bed! I did not have enough money for it yet. Plan for later this year. Then I realized they don't let you know when they use your credit card, whether you have enough money in the bank or not. Ruined my bank account on that day I had to close the account. I will not use this company in the near future again. Lost my trust in them. The company needs to change their ways. No more sneaky or anything else.

Was charged for 2 separate subscriptions. When 1 subscription was cancelled, Webroot deactivated the other PAID subscription. Requested a Refund but was denied because Customer Service WANTS A NEW CREDIT CARD NUMBER instead of refunding from the automatic charged credit card. Refund request initiated on 8-18-25 with providing all information requested by Webroot and still no refund. Dispute is being filed. UNTRUSTWORTHY!

I have been double-billed by Best Buy and by WEBROOT. Spent 4-5 hours on the phone trying to resolve. There is no one to talk to at WEBROOT. Out of frustration I am writing the company a letter next. Next year over to NORTON, which scores a lot higher! Albert C.

I am very impressed with Webroot Total Protection w/ VPN. I have tried many major brands, from Bitdefender to F-Secure to ESET to Nord Threat Protection, and none regulated the CPU spikes and heat generated on my laptop when gaming. Webroot Total Protection w/ VPN is a breath of fresh air. It's amazing how my laptop runs after all the scans and tweaks. Buy it.... You'll be happy.

I found Webroot AntiVirus shamefully impossible to install and an utter waste of money. I hope to never hear or read its name again. I then purchased and installed a well-rated VPN from another company.

Opened my computer that I had left on Facebook, FLASHING blue square saying my computer had been hacked and to call this phone number, I did ( freaking out ) and got Webroot. After talking briefly, I ended up paying $500 for their security. HOW DID THEY KNOW ABOUT MY COMPUTER BEING HACKED IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I am Not a geek, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

I would give half star if possible. We have used Webroot since 2015, no issues. Sometime during 2022, without notice or permission, has charged the account 199.99 for the same service without lawful permission and zero communication. Additionally, we no longer have access to our account after forgetting the password, no longer having the same number. We will be canceling and purchasing another product. VERY VERY upset LONGTIME customer. May have to call a lawyer. DON'T GET THE PRODUCT.

The supervisor refunded past duplicate charges and closed the duplicate account. All resolved at tier two support.

In reading several bad reviews, I am pleased that I am not the only one. I kept on getting a popup to renew, yet I have Total Tech Support through Best Buy which includes Webroot. Since I paid due to the popup $152.75 I want my money refunded. I have made a request on 9/25 and then on 10/2. They seem to refuse to give me my refund. If they don't respond and give me my refund in the next day or two, I will have to call my credit card and block them from charging me in the future. This is the worst company I have dealt with. I like the protection, but I don't need 2 services. I requested the refund within 1 hour of purchase (**). I might have to call the Attorney General as well.

Webroot has consistently protected our laptops & cell phone. Easy to download instructions with tech help available. We've had no problems with identity theft, hacks or malware. Two year warranty at a reasonable price.
