The supervisor refunded past duplicate charges and closed the duplicate account. All resolved at tier two support.
When the Geek Squad installed a new hard drive, they also offered me a new discounted Webroot membership. They did not terminate my previous membership active since 2014. The company refuses to refund 2 duplicate charges caused by their employee not completing the merger/closure of my previous membership.
In reading several bad reviews, I am pleased that I am not the only one. I kept on getting a popup to renew, yet I have Total Tech Support through Best Buy which includes Webroot. Since I paid due to the popup $152.75 I want my money refunded. I have made a request on 9/25 and then on 10/2. They seem to refuse to give me my refund. If they don't respond and give me my refund in the next day or two, I will have to call my credit card and block them from charging me in the future. This is the worst company I have dealt with. I like the protection, but I don't need 2 services. I requested the refund within 1 hour of purchase (**). I might have to call the Attorney General as well.

Webroot has consistently protected our laptops & cell phone. Easy to download instructions with tech help available. We've had no problems with identity theft, hacks or malware. Two year warranty at a reasonable price.
Webroot is a very easy to install non invasive app that does all of its work behind the scenes. Easily configurable notifications. Advanced threat protection for Mac, window's and mobile devices. Lightning fast scans, always on, protection that stops ransomware. Secures phones and tablets.
I was properly auto-billed on a Webroot antivirus product I was no longer using. I called the company, explained the situation, and the charge was immediately reversed - no questions, no hassle, very professionally handled.
I have been very impressed by Webroot for my laptop protection, so much that I renewed for another year. They give you the ability to watch in real time the number of intrusive and questionable invasions they are stopping. It has never slowed down my speed, nor have I ever had a problem.
Not the easiest to set up and monitor. I’m still not sure I have it correctly or if it’s running at all. I’m an example of a not so technical kind of guy but can get around pretty good on my devices. Have used other services and was able to understand them much easier.
Best Buy recommended it, but now I have paid for it without a download. Recommend any other but Webroot. TERRIBLE! I have owned many computers over 30 plus years. Never had such a problem. I had a membership with Best Buy Geek Squad and bought it through it. Now Webroot requires I pay $200 membership with tech support to get Webroot. IT IS A SCAM. I am contacting the Attorney General, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Yelp, and Better Business Bureau.
I recently purchased a new phone, which created major problems with the 2FA facility in Webroot. When I attempted to log in to my Webroot Console, the 2FA authentication codes would not work. A very nice gentleman in Tech Support recognized the problem as being the new phone/authentication app immediately and helped resolve the situation in short order. I've run Webroot security on my computer for 2 years and will definitely install it on my new computer when it arrives next week.
I canceled Webroot and now I am getting popups that ask me to renew or ask me to uninstall. Then to get the popup to go away it directs me to my page to uninstall and I have already uninstalled Webroot. Both of these popups freeze my computer until I close the box or "uninstall". I have complained to Webroot support and get no return answer. These popups happen frequently during the time I am on my computer and are very annoying. I'm advising anyone when they choose to get Webroot to know what problems they may have if they choose to buy it.
