I don't think about the anti-virus software which I think means you have a pretty good product. It is un-intrusive, I have no problems with virus's so I believe it must be doing its job. The price I paid is 39.99 which I hope I don't get struck by lightning for saying, seems very reasonable for a yearly subscription (please don't raise the price because I said this). I tried re-activating my expired license last night and had problems with the activation code and couldn't get it running.
Today when I got home from work I tried to start over and couldn't even log into my account so when I called into tech support I was not the polite, amiable human being I typically am (on a good day) - I was downright cranky and thinking about just asking for a refund. That said, the gentleman who helped me was professional, ignored my cranky ** and treated me with respect, acknowledged he could understand my frustration then explained about the upgrade to the website and promptly fixed my problem before I knew what was going on. Keep this guy, your customer support people are the ones we (your customers) see as the public face of your company and build loyalty with your customer base. I went from from cranky old frustrated man, to grateful and loyal customer in less than 10 minutes.

I called Support to assist with confirming if my rebate had actually been received and if it was in process. For some reason, it was not showing up in the "Track Rebate" page of the website. Dan told me he was going to look into it and get back to me. Sure enough the very next day, Dan called me and informed me that it's strange that my rebate wasn't showing up as trackable but it was, in fact, received and in process. He was extremely professional and friendly...not to mention, he was on top of everything. Very pleased with my experience.

I was pleased with the assistance given to me by Dan when I contacted Total Defense technical support services. I had taken my laptop to Staples with an issue with the smart disk being at risk; the Staples tech completed their investigation and took corrective action. However, when I picked up the computer the tech started the Total Defense scan and said just take it home and it should be done scanning when you get there. It scanned until 48% and remained there for 5 hours before I called Staples to see what needed to be done. They advised me to call you in the morning for help. I called and Dan walked me through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I ran it and it completed the scan. I am not so happy with Staples as I feel they should have done all of this before I picked up my computer. Thank you, however, to Dan for his patience and help.

Laurie was very helpful with helping me the renewing the Total Defense for my computer for another year. She was very Professional, and she had a very pleasant voice. She explained all information in regard to the Total Defense. She also explained that if I had and problems that I could give them a call at the 1-800 number. Laurie also expressed how the Total Defense will protect the computer at all times and will let you know that is not a good site to go on and will pop up and give you a warning not to go that WebSite. Laurie gave good information which was very helpful.

TD support in enabling recovery of my Total Defense coverage. I was very nearly scammed by an intricate and clever ruse. Those parties gained access to my computer and actually transferred funds between our bank accounts. But was caught them just before they would have transferred $30K in funds to their own account.
Naturally we were concerned about our compromised bank accounts. After we secured those with the financial institutions. We next turned our intention to re-securing the computer. I hoped that Total Defense might be able to provide support, but wasn't sure. I called into TD and was connected with Laurie of the TD Tech Support. Laurie listened to my description of the situation thoughtfully, and quickly assured me that TD would help.
Laurie quickly identified that, when the scammer held control of my computer, he uninstalled our Total Defense capabilities. Laurie then patiently stepped me through the process of restoring Total Defense, as well as removing the software that the scammer had loaded on my laptop to gain control of it. Whereas it took many/hours or days to re-secure our financial accounts, Total Defense was able to restore our computer-based security in only 30-45 minutes. Of course, through the resourcefulness and professionalism in support from Laurie and the TD team, we've realized far more value than what we paid for our Total Defense subscription. Very much appreciated.

In all my dealings with both the technical and account staff I have found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful with my concerns. Also, the product itself has cleaned up my system and probably saved me money and the trouble associated with identity theft. I feel safe with Total Defense. Total Defense is worth the cost.
