What is Navi Auto Transport?

Navi Auto Transport is a fully insured automobile transportation broker. It provides open and closed-trailer auto shipping services across the United States. Navi Auto Transport is a family-owned business based out of Wilmington, Delaware. Free, no-obligation quotes are available online, with no upfront payment required.

How does Navi Auto Transport work?

Navi Auto Transport works in three steps:

  1. Get a free quote and book shipping
  2. Vehicle pick up by vetted transport company
  3. Delivery and vehicle inspection

Information needed to request a quote includes vehicle details, like make, model and condition. Additionally, you’ll need to provide the vehicle pickup and delivery locations. Quotes are generated based on these factors and the transport service type.

Navi Auto Transport offers open and enclosed transport options. Open transport is when the vehicle is shipped in an open-air trailer. Enclosed transport is shipped in an enclosed truck, which offers more protection from weather and road debris.

Once you’ve agreed to the price and service, Navi Auto Transport finalizes the booking. There are no upfront costs, meaning payment isn’t due until vehicle delivery. Navi Auto Transport is fully licensed and insured by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Navi Auto Transport shipping options

Navi Auto Transport offers two auto shipping options.

  • Open car transport: Open car transport is the most common and affordable option. It involves shipping your vehicle in an open trailer. Because of its efficiency in shipping multiple vehicles at a time, open car transport costs less than enclosed transport.
  • Enclosed auto transport: Enclosed auto transport provides more vehicle protection than open car transport. Enclosed transport keeps your vehicle safer from elements and road hazards. Vehicles are shipped inside a fully enclosed trailer, which makes this option more expensive than open transport.

Navi Auto Transport additional services

Navi Auto Transport offers additional services beyond open and enclosed shipping. These include:

  • Expedited shipping: For those needing faster delivery, Navi Auto Transport can arrange expedited shipping at an additional cost.
  • Door-to-door service: Navi Auto Transport provides door-to-door shipping, where a vehicle is picked up and delivered directly to your chosen locations.
  • Terminal-to-terminal shipping: Navi Auto Transport coordinates terminal-to-terminal shipping, which is designated terminal drop-off and pickup locations.
  • Commercial vehicle transport: Navi Auto Transport can handle commercial vehicle transport.
  • Motorcycle and heavy equipment transport: In addition to cars, Navi Auto Transport can assist with shipping motorcycles, boats and large equipment.

Navi Auto Transport costs

I had Navi transport a 2012 Mini Hardtop. I went on a couple of search engines and looked at the reviews. I looked at what the services they offered were and how responsive they were. Their price was competitive with others. So, I chose them. I went through some analysis to determine who to pick and they have my recommendation. Their representative was very professional and gave me all the information I needed to know. The transaction itself was very smooth. There was a bit of additional handholding I needed from the individual who I made the initial contact with. Except the scheduling and all that stuff, it would have helped if there had been a little bit smoother transition there. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The transport happened a little earlier than I thought. The original pickup point was in Samish, Washington. I talked to the driver because I live on a residential street and he had a large vehicle. So we elected to go to an area that had more clearance for him and that worked out fine. It was within three miles of my house. That was fine. The drop-off was in Austin, Texas, and my son received the vehicle in Austin, Texas. He had been contacted by the driver and he met the driver there. Everything went fine there. The car was without damage, and the quote was accurate. The only thing that we had an adjustment on is I found that there was an incentive for retired or current military. So I told them I'm retired military and they gave me a small incentive.

Navi delivered my car to my sister’s home in Virginia, and they did fine. I was tired of people calling me, and then Navi gave me the cheapest rate. For the driver who came to pick it up, I was shocked that he did not even have a big trailer. He had it for four cars, and I was a little concerned. Then, I saw that Navi had good reviews, so I called them because I forgot that they did tell me that they subcontract it. And my deeper question was if they vet these people and they had answered, "Yes."

Originally, when I called, I spoke with Logan. And he told me everything that I needed to know to get started. He said that they would call or email me a day before they were coming to pick it up. When I called him back to see how I could set up a date because I finally had all my plans for moving where I would be leaving Georgia and I wanted the car to leave around the same time, Logan told me he would be back the next day, a Saturday. And I did not figure people worked on Saturday. But he said he would be there.

I made a call that Saturday and I got Kyle. He said that Logan was not there, and that he could help me instead. He gave me some answers, but he held back. So, I said that I would call back again and that I would have to wait for Logan to come back. I felt like I was answering oranges and apples.

Then, I got a text message saying that they would be picking up my car that day at 12:00 or 1:00. I said that I have not spoken yet to anybody. I knew the timeframe, but I did not know exactly what date. When I got that text, it was in the right time, but what if I was not ready for it to be shipped at 12 o'clock that day?

So, we had not confirmed a definite date. Navi agreed that they could do it two or three days before I leave. That was okay. But the problem I had was I did not know exactly, and that was why I was calling them. That was what frustrated me, but it worked out well. Despite the little hiccups in communication, I would recommend them. It was easy to work with Logan.

I purchased a car out of state and I needed to transport it across 500 miles. I have transported a number of different vehicles in the past with different companies, and when I got quotes from them, they were all considerably higher than Navi. I got quotes from three different companies, and what made me go with Navi were the cost and the good reviews I have read about them online. They were highly recommended.

There was good communication during the whole process. And the person who delivered the car was excellent. He gave me information on what the process involved. I paid him the amount that I owed minus the deposit that I put upfront, and that was it. My car was delivered on time and in excellent condition. I understand he did not want wait until the next day, so the car was delivered in darkness. It was about quarter to 9:00 at night, so I had to get a spotlight out to examine the car for damage. Other than that, it was perfect.

It was a quick process. I was surprised because I thought it might take a few days before anybody accepts the offer, but from the time it was posted to the time they delivered, it only took two days. With this positive experience on this transaction, I would definitely call them first to see what their quote would be if I need to transport a car in the future.

A 4 star review means they got the job done for a good price. There were times they were helpful and times they were not. A 5 star would mean they made it easy and pleasant for me at every turn. That was not the case. They gave a price for my trip and said it was all inclusive--their fee plus the driver fee. Great. The next day they call & say they have a driver "but he has a small truck so he wants more. It will be $700". I told them I don't need to rush this and don't want to pay more. Next day, similar play--found driver, wants more $$. NO!! Then my credit card is charged $129. I call. Why was it charged? "Oh, the driver said he will do it for the price you agreed"

So the attempt to get more $ was annoying, and the charge first, confirm later was annoying, and all of those conversations were with no less than 4 agents--no consistency is annoying. I have shipped with others and, if you want to may another $100-$150 you can get a dedicated agent with great communication. After the driver was set, I heard nothing from Navi. At all. Potential problem at end with driver--nobody at Navi to talk to. Literally, they are just the broker and not out to help you.

So realize what you give up if you go for Navi/the lower price. If you can't take that kind of sales pressure and poor communication, go with another broker. The experience with the driver and his dispatcher is NOT part of this review, because Navi and all the others are just brokers; you might get a driver with great communication and you might not. That is the nature of this business. $629 for WA to NorCal

Navi Auto Transport is who we are ever gonna use. I decided on them when I noticed they offered a $50 discount on shipping services at night. This promotional offer was persuasive and prompted me to choose them over other companies. I interacted with Jason, who left a good impression. His professionalism stood out, which made me feel confident in proceeding with the order.

The pickup and delivery process was seamless. My son observed the vehicle was efficiently loaded onto the service truck upon pick up. Upon arrival in Florida, the driver coordinated with me to meet in a vacant parking lot conveniently located close to my residence. The entire transaction was straightforward, from receiving my vehicle to providing a tip for the driver's efforts.

What's noteworthy is that I plan to use Navi Auto Transport in the future as well. I am currently in the process of arranging to ship a van and coordinating its transport for when we are ready to move after our house sells. Additionally, I've been contemplating using their services more as I delve into classic car acquisitions, which I intend to sell here for a profit, given the market differences between Michigan and Florida.

Overall, the service from Navi Auto Transport was dependable. Despite minor unwanted calls ahead of the shipping schedule, I understand that it is a part of maintaining customer engagement. This kind of proactive customer service shows an understanding and commitment to staying connected with clients, which is appreciated when undertaking recurring business.

Don't bother with this company. They will call and text you every day to book and pay. Once you give them your credit card details, forget about it. They will change the agreed-upon price and lie about it. They won't bother updating you on anything. If you call, you will get an AI as the customer service rep. When you are able to speak to a human, they will tell you they have no knowledge of previous conversations and that you must have spoken to another person, so nothing is documented or they just want to have the ability to feign ignorance of any agreements or promises. They don't even bother to let you know in advance that the credit card used to secure the shipping is just for their commission and that upon your car's arrival you need pay the driver cash for the shipping. You can also count on the delivery date changing to a later date than promised. Horrible experience. All liars.

These people are LIARS and THIEVES. My name is Dr. Larry Sr. Navi Auto Transport company STOLE $340.00 from me. It's called Theft By Deception. This company lied to me about the (cost and timeframe) for shipping my Rolls Royce from Las Vegas to New Jersey. They quoted me $1,760 then at the last minute they said they couldn't get a truck to pick up at the agreed deadline unless I paid them $2,100. for the same job. Because I had already wasted 5 days waiting on them, I didn’t want to start new with another company. I paid them (under duress) the (NEW PRICE) and they still didn't meet the deadline after charging me the additional money. THE CAR WAS PICKED UP 2 DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE!!

NAVI TRANSPORT CO. Your DECEPTION and DISHONESTY is deplorable. I gave them every chance to make good on their promises and reputation. They had no intentions to make this right. I even offered to split the difference. THEY ARE THE WORST. DON’T EVER DEAL WITH THEM!!? This is going to be very damaging to their BRAND. The real transport company that they hired also said that this is their practice. They tell people that they guarantee a pickup date, then at the last minute they call you for MORE MONEY, then they don’t even keep THAT DATE. All I wanted from them is my $340.00 back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

I contracted with Navi Auto Transport to ship my car from Portland Maine to Knoxville Tennessee. At the time I booked my shipment I agreed to pay extra for next day pickup and was assured that would/could happen. Six days later I am still waiting for my car to get picked up. Two days ago my car was assigned a dispatcher after I agreed to pay $700 (66%) more than the originally quoted amount. The car was supposed to get picked up yesterday. That didn't happen and company who is assigned to transport the car is not responding to my texts. The Navi "sales team" has been predictably pleasant however nothing that has been promised has happened. Don't assume that their "superior" rating or slick webpage is of any value.

I got a quote from them so I called to see what I needed to do to get the vehicle picked up. Kyle said that 2-3 days notice was all they needed. I set it up for a certain date and time and within a couple hours, I got a call wanting me to pay more to have it picked up on the day that was promised. I told them that I wasn't paying more for the day that was already promised. Nothing from them on the day that was promised. The next day, I got a call and was told they could pick the vehicle up at 4 for $255 more than quoted. I said no, and I was only going to pay quoted price. The person on the phone said give him 5 minutes, and he would see what he can do. Called me back and it would only charge me an additional $215 from quoted price, and already a day late. So I cancelled. It would really help if these people would learn English!

We had bad experience with Navi shipping company. First they raised the price almost doubled, then uncertain about the car pick up day. We canceled the contract in writing until six days later the order was still on the national board, which means we couldn't hire any other shipping company to ship our car. We called many times, but nobody helped us. We emailed them and then called them over and over. Finally they canceled our order. It took them one minute to cancel it, but they took 7 days. I wouldn't never never use this company again.
