The first time that I used Montway, I was located in Atlanta's downtown area. It was pretty stiff and busy. I was shocked that the truck that delivered got down there like they did. But it was quick. The driver definitely wasn't gonna be able to make it on to the street I was on. So, I just had to walk two streets up. Then he let it off the thing and he gave me my key, and that was the end of it. The second time that I used Montway, the driver seemed a little more personable than the first driver that I dealt with. But both times that I used them, I had very similar and great experiences. They got my car to and from and unscathed, and there was no weird business. It was just straight to the point, which I appreciate. If I had to move again far away, I'd use Montway again and see if my luck runs me a third time.

I needed to be available during the pick up because it's a classic car and I needed to see it with my own eyes get loaded on. However, there was zero communication after that first booking. I also don't think they were aware that I had booked with them because they kept sending me emails to book with them even though I already did. Coming up on the day of the pick up, I called to ask if we have a driver yet. I had to call twice to finally get someone on the phone. They were texting me initially but I called them back directly and they would not get in contact with me. I called their 800 number and someone finally said it hadn't been picked up yet. A driver hadn't chosen to pick up my route yet so I pushed it by one day. The way my move was going, I was gonna be out of my house later than I wanted to be.

On the day that I was expecting someone to show up, no one was in contact with me. I called back, but no one would get back with me. On the day it got picked up, I got a text all of a sudden saying my driver will be here in two hours. I understand that Montway is a broker looking for whomever is gonna pick up the route. But the lack of communication was really stressful for me during a move as well though my car was at my home and I had a neighbor who would be able to be present if I had left.

I live on a cul-de-sac and the driver backed the trailer in. It was not an 18-wheeler. It was closed transport. Using car shippers in the past, it's usually a smaller vehicle. The driver put my car in first and he knew he was gonna only have enough room to put another car in. But there were no issues and it was really easy. My car came out of the driveway, they inspected it and drove it up into the ramp, and off they went. The driver was very knowledgeable and really helpful as well. The car battery was dead but he was nice enough to help jump my car because my charger had been packed. I liked him a lot. My car shipped perfectly in great condition.

The pricing was exactly as Montway originally quoted, and I tipped the driver for his outstanding service. As this was my first time using auto transport services, I was understandably nervous, especially since I was shipping such a valuable car that I bought from out of state, sight unseen. However, the transport experience was flawless.

The driver was pivotal in validating the vehicle's condition reported by the dealership in Atlanta, which was crucial since the car was high-value and located hours away while I was in South Lakeland. His thorough inspection and documentation reassured me that there was no damage upon delivery.

During the purchase, there were several red flags at the dealership, which almost deterred me from proceeding with the deal. Secondly, the pick-up date, which fell at the end of the possible date range we were given, was extended a day. This was NOT convenient because we were staying in a hotel near my daughter's apartment. We had to stay another night. My daughter had to be out of her apartment the day before (and the car removed from the parking lot). I intentionally made that date the last date of our window.

Fortunately the apartment manager allowed us to leave the car there one more day. But then, the driver was running late the next day and wanted to push it off one more day -- which fell outside our pick-up range. We said absolutely not. Even if we have to meet him at midnight, we cannot spend another night at this hotel. We must deliver this car TODAY. As it was, we did meet him at about 11 pm to deliver the car, but at least we could head home the next morning. The car did make it to Oregon after my daughter arrived, so that worked out well. There were no issues with the travel or the delivery - we were pleased about that.

I researched multiple transport companies and many of them had their pricing fluctuate with date changes. But Montway held firm according to reviewer experiences. My process of setting things up began with online submission of the transport details, which was then promptly followed up by communication from Montway representatives. They were quite attentive in mapping out logistical components for us, effectively guiding us through what needed coordination and which steps were already covered.

Given my daughter's residence was on a narrower street, Montway's communication on using independent drivers was beneficial, allowing us to flexibly plan for a vehicle pick-up from a friend's more conveniently located, driveway-accessible home. The transition went smoothly since my daughter didn’t have an address in LA yet. On more than a few levels, the adaptability in sorting out timing especially played into Montway’s favor—our assigned driver adjusted plans so that the pick-up and drop-off dates would face no interference with my daughter’s schedule or impose unnecessary stress. This level of accommodation was commendable.

The transport service from start to finish seemed quite straightforward and efficient. Moreover, as noted in our previous arrangements, the final cost matched our initial quote exactly—that was certainly reassuring.

If I had to rate my overall transport experience with Montway, I would confidently place it as a '5' due to their strategic assistance in maneuvering some complex timing around both ends of the delivery lane. Absolutely open to recommending Montway Auto Transport to anyone prior still making the decision.
