Sherpa Auto Transport Reviews

I asked Google who was the top-rated auto transport company, and Sherpa was among them. I needed a car transported across the country and I didn't have the time to do it myself, so I called. I have no idea about how much these usually cost, but to save me the headache, I thought the price was good. It took five to six days to finally lock in a carrier and it was a bit stressful, but after that, the experience was great. They texted me and called. They gave me a four to five-day window and I had them deliver the car to a shopping center. I didn't want any issues with going down residential streets. They let me know the day the car was arriving and around what time, and that was the day of. There were about four texts between us. Everything was good. They took care of it all and I didn't have to take time off of work myself or put any more miles on the car.

My son was working at a different location for the summer, and it was easier to transport the car than to drive it there. I Googled transport companies and Sherpa Auto Transport came up, and I called them. Everything worked perfectly from booking to delivery and it was a good experience. We'll probably use Sherpa again when we ship the car back at the end of the summer. But there could have been better communication. My son and I had to keep calling Sherpa to find out where we were meeting and what time. They said the driver would be here at a certain window. Noon came around and nobody talked to my son. He finally called the company and they said they were running late and gave another window of time.

I moved from California to my home in Montana, and it's not a drive-that-little-car situation. I looked online for the highest rated auto transport for classic cars, and Sherpa came up number one. I called them, and I had an excellent service from beginning to end. The pick-up was at Santa Rosa, California. The drop-off was at Cameron. It was scheduled to be in Bozeman, Montana, but the driver parked right down the street from my house. So, it was even better. I live right down the highway from a rest area. So, it was very convenient for him. He did the pick up on the 11th, and we both got here on the 12th.

When I searched about transport services, Sherpa had good reviews, and that's how I decided to choose them. Setting up the transport was excellent and I had a great experience. I was there at the time of pick-up and it was great. The pick-up driver was able to reach there on time, and he kept in touch with me. I would definitely recommend Sherpa 100%. I love the professionalism as well as the communication for updates. I noticed transparency throughout the process. The price was also worth the money I paid, and there were no no additional charges. It saved me a lot. There were no damages on my car. I'm sure it saved me more charges.

My brother used an auto transport company to ship a previous car, and he had some issues with them. So, I said, “Okay, well, they got the car here in one piece. Let me go with them instead.” I put in a request with them to ship a ‘92 GMC truck from Nevada to Ohio, then they took weeks to get back to me and when they did, they tried to charge me $1,000 more than the original quote. If they wanted to charge me more, I was fine. But $1,000? Their excuse was gas prices and I thought, "But it's not gonna cost you $1,000 more. That's ridiculous." So, I told them to cancel it.

I chose Sherpa based on reviews which is better than others but BASED on my recent experience after signing the agreement, they failed to perform, needless to say I had to cancel because 2 days passed the time slotted pick up. The worst part of this experience is that I don’t hear any updates from them unless I email or call. Lengthy time to accommodate my date but failed to do so… Poor communication.

I contacted Sherpa on-line based on general reviews. Agent called me, gave me a discount to complete sign-up. Little communication during the waiting process -- waiting for my pick-up window, etc. Sherpa sent an email or two telling me not to worry, that carriers pick up the shipping orders on the spot, not in advance. Car shipped from a dealer in San Diego to an office building in Provo. In the middle of the pick-up window Sherpa provided shipper information. I contacted driver, no problem. Delivered as planned. Never a request for more payment or anything like that.

I like the point to point delivery. Like how when our first assigned driver had mechanical issues and couldn’t pick up, Sherpa was able to find a second pickup driver in a very short turn around. We had already given our house back to Ft. Drum, NY so due to unforeseen circumstances we were staying at an off post hotel. The driving was able to meet us at the Walmart which expedited exchange; I have experience with other company drivers having challenges with getting onto post.

Jeremiah is amazing, he helped me scheduled the delivery and tried his best to pick up my car as late as possible and deliver it as early as possible from Boston to SF. It really helped during the chaos of moving. Super grateful for that service!

First time shipping a vehicle. Sherpa generally had good reviews. Took a couple extra days from original estimate, but was with our permission. Communication was excellent, including with shipping company (Impulse Logistics). Vehicle arrived as promised.

My experience with Sherpa was excellent. My driver was professional and courteous. He rearranged his pick-up schedule to suit my needs. Their equipment (the truck) was state-of-the-art. My car arrived on the first day of the delivery window with no damage whatsoever.

Our car was delivered ahead of schedule, there was good communication about pick up and drop off windows and a very thorough inspection/photo taking at pick up and drop off. Great customer service.. Honest and direct. Got us a carrier that took our vehicle direct from point a to point b, we couldn't be happier. From address to address, this was a much better situation than we could have imagined.

It was so smooth and fast. Put in my order Friday, got a carrier Sunday, Picked up my car from Florida on Monday, arrived Saturday in California. Would 100% pick this company again. The price they told me is the price I paid.

I was referred to Sherpa by the auto dealer that I bought a vehicle from. I like the fact that I didn't have to pay the delivery driver when they got here. It was all one stop. Pick-up and delivery went well. The car transport was who did it, and they were really good. I met them down the road here, but that was pre-arranged that way. Overall, it was a good experience. I bid out a number of people. Sherpa was expensive, but had a good reputation for guaranteeing the rate and service. Then, when I went to get an exact offer, someone called and gave me a rate that was a little bit higher, but it was worth having better service. In the end, I was really happy with the service I got from Sherpa.

My driver was Andrade **. He kept us informed the whole way; both on the shipping end and delivery end. He was very friendly and polite. He was extremely thorough with the inspection and provided an electronic copy of all paperwork. I'd been bombarded with an absurd number of calls and emails when I started looking into auto transporters, but I called Sherpa directly. They communicate super well and they explained everything. Everything happened exactly how they told me it would. Pickup and delivery went great. The person showed up exactly when and where he said he would. He was super friendly, helpful, did everything that my representative at sherpa said he would do. He took pictures of everything, emailed everything to me, and dropped the vehicle off when they said they would at the right time.

Their customer service was quite adequate and very professional, just as a company should be. It did seem as though it took quite some time to obtain the secondary driver. But I do understand a bit about interstate transportation. I know that one company has to hook up with another company to transfer vehicles in a timely manner. Therefore, it did seem as though it took a little bit longer than I had anticipated. I was a little nervous about that, initially. But I do understand that it was a time of year when all the snow birds were trying to go home one direction or the other.

I got several quotes but I was told that people were trying to lowball everything and was gonna be a bait and switch. Sherpa's pricing wasn't outrageous, and they were able to match other reasonable quotes that I had gotten. It was just a little bit of a sticker shock for how much I thought it was going to be, but it’s fine. I liked that they had a price guarantee. If the fee was gonna be over a certain amount, they would cover the difference.

Getting set up with Sherpa was simple. We've used them before as well. We just called them and told them my needs. I got a driver a little quicker than I did last year. But either way, my car was transported on time. Both drivers were very nice. Cars were well taken care of. We were also satisfied with our price.

Sherpa moved my car from Texas to New York, and it was great. I looked at four other transport companies and they were expensive. Sherpa also gave me a higher quote, and then I told them another company was quoting me a little bit less. So, they worked with me. Customer service was all very positive.

I was really nervous about finding the right company to get my truck moved across the country. This was the easiest process ever. The driver was a great guy and I enjoyed getting to talk with him while it was loaded up. I filled out a form online, paid the money that was very reasonable, and it was picked up and moved. End of story. Not a scratch on it despite being super tight in the truck. And, I’m not a bot. I typically don’t over trust 5 star reviews.

I had a very bad experience with Sherpa. I signed up with them on April 1st to transport our two cars from Florida to Ohio. I started enquiring Monday (May 4th) about when would they pick up our cars as we were flying home on in 6 days. They had created a 6 day window to ship. i also enquired two more times this week and was told that they had interest from a carrier, and the last time yesterday was told not to worry they would get a carrier.

Sherpa came up as the top search on the internet and when I set it up, it just went straight through online. The transport itself had no paperwork and the driver just dropped it off. It was just as expected and I didn’t see anything that I didn't know about the car before. I'm happy with Sherpa’s service.

I was very happy with Sherpa Auto Transport. I had a car shipped from Florida to Illinois and the customer service was great. The quote stayed the same too. I communicated with the driver through text, then someone did the pickup for me in Florida. I met the driver when he got here to Illinois and the car was a little dirty, but that was all. Everything was fine.

Sherpa Auto Transport is a legit company and they don't change their prices. I couldn't drive a vehicle back from Colorado on my own, so we needed someone to transport it. I researched two companies and Sherpa Auto Transport was recommended by a friend who works in the car industry. Setting up the transport was easy. The rep really helped me out and helped me be able to hide the key for the people who took it and it was fine. The original pickup point was in Denver, Colorado. The drop-off was in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and it only took 12 hours. Everything was good.

I researched companies, and based on what I saw, I picked Sherpa Auto Transport. There were a couple of communication issues with Sherpa, but it was not terrible. I had them transport a 2013 Toyota Camry and the quote was accurate. Downs, Illinois was the pickup point while the drop-off was Venice, Florida. It took under two days. The third-party that Sherpa contracted with picked up in a residential area and they were good. All in all, Sherpa did okay for me but they need to communicate up front that people are dealing with a broker and they're going to a third-party to transport. Sherpa didn't do that, so I was a bit confused when the transport company got in touch with me.
