Setting up the transport was a bit challenging. It was difficult to get someone on the phone from SGT, and getting straight answers was tough. While SGT is a freight forwarder, the actual company they paired us with was small, but quite impressive. I don't think I'll choose SGT again, but I'll definitely consider the small company they matched us with.

Pickup was in Fuquay, North Carolina, and drop-off was in Louisville, Texas. Although I can't recall the exact number of days it was supposed to take, the driver was excellent. He beat us to Texas by about six hours. During the process, the driver was very communicative, honest about being late at the start, and kept us updated. He even delivered our car right in front of the house and placed the keys in the mailbox, sending us photos to confirm the delivery.

While I wasn't entirely impressed with the freight broker part of SGT, the auto transport company was fantastic. The quote and final price matched, and it was one of the better prices I found, which was part of the reason we chose SGT. I'd recommend friends or family to consider them, although I don't plan on moving again anytime soon.

The delivery process was similar; the driver met my husband at a large lot near our new home as trucks of that size couldn't come directly to us. Although advertised as door-to-door, it required meeting at a nearby location. The driver was accommodating and drove my car back to our home so that my husband could inspect it in the light. The car was in perfect condition, just as it was when it was picked up. Although the service was generally smooth, aspects like the ambiguous pickup windows and the weekend scheduling gap were slightly inconvenient. Instead of a Thursday-Friday-Saturday frame, it extended to Monday, which complicated our plans.

The customer service was excellent. SGT's representatives were very communicative, and I appreciated speaking with native English speakers, which made the process smooth. However, there was a bit of confusion regarding damage liability, since it wasn't entirely clear how it would be handled upon delivery. Nonetheless, the terms were generally understood after checking with them.

I chose open transport from the options they provided, and the quote was competitive, coming in lower than most other quotes I had received. Although another company offered a slightly lower price, reviews were not reassuring, so I opted to stick with SGT after their customer service reassured me.

Pricing was slightly above the initial quote, increasing by around $30-$40, but still remained under $1000 for the long-distance haul across the continent, which I found reasonable.

I did most transactions via their website, which was user-friendly and had their contact number prominently displayed, simplifying communication whenever needed. There was a minor glitch on the website, but it wasn't significant enough to cause any issues.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend SGT Auto Transport to others. There were minor hiccups, but the overall service, from customer interaction to the value, was commendable.

I've used them for two years now, and I plan to continue using them for my return trip to Minnesota. Even though they're not the cheapest option out there, they are the most reliable, and that is important to me. On one occasion, they managed to transport my car from Minnesota to Florida incredibly fast; it arrived the morning after we flew in, preventing the need for any additional travel arrangements like Uber.

The drivers were professional, though they do try to undercut the company sometimes by offering their services directly, which I didn’t take advantage of. I chose to remain with SGT for the reassurance it provided. Overall, the quality of SGT’s service matched the quote, and I can confidently rate them five stars. The peace of mind and great service are well worth a slightly higher price compared to other quotes I received. It's also cool that with SGT, when you get a rate to come down, you get the same rate going back. I also told my friend who is going to Florida from Arizona about them and she used them.

I arranged the pick-up of my car just two days prior to the desired date, with the car being transported from Turlock, California to Fairfield, Connecticut. Although it was initially scheduled to take seven days, the trip ended up taking nine days due to an unexpected delay from a truck tire problem, causing the car to be stuck temporarily in Boston for repairs.

Both the pickup and delivery of the vehicle went smoothly. Given the large size of the transport truck, I contacted the driver to arrange meeting them in a nearby Walmart parking area, making the pickup from my apartment complex simple. On the delivery end, everything went smoothly as they brought the car right to my suburban area.

Interactions with the driver were quite pleasant. Despite some challenges with English, communication was smooth and efficient; it also reassured me that the same driver took care of the vehicle throughout the journey.

The billing was like they indicated in the initial quote, and I didn't end up paying more than expected even after accounting for some personal belongings inside the car—and I found this fair considering the purpose and distance involved. Given all concerns were handled well and the service was trustworthy, I'd gladly use SGT's services again and recommend it to others needing vehicle transportation.

After not hearing anything other than trying to upsell, adding an additional 100 pounds of personal belongings to shipped with the car, I reached out to SGT on the Tuesday before the Thursday potential pickup date, for a status update. I was informed that the 2-day pickup window was still two days away and they would have a carrier for either Thursday or Friday. I then got a call asking if I would take a Saturday pickup. I reminded the rep that I was flying out early Saturday morning, which is why I selected the two-day Thursday/Friday pickup.

I heard nothing on Thursday. On Friday, I asked for a status update and was reminded they were still within the 2-day pickup window. I then got a call again offering a Saturday pickup, and again informed them I was flying out Saturday morning and would not be available. Their solution was to leave the car, a Porsche 911, at some location with the keys so the carrier could put in the trailer. I declined that option and asked why SGT couldn’t just honor the agreement. When I called at 5 pm Friday, I was again informed they were still within the 2-day window, but they could not provide a pickup time and did not have a carrier, but “I will put you at the top of the stack”. At 6 pm, there was still no carrier, and no indication there would be a carrier. I will never consider SGT for a transport job again.

I have waited a long time to review because I'm still processing the service from SGT auto. In February 2024, my family moved across the country, and had our car shipped by SGT. The shipping times kept being changed, and we were very inconvenienced by the constant shifting of our timeline. our car got in an accident on the carrier while it was in transit, and we were not notified. There was damage on our car and it was filthy on the inside, as if someone had been walking around with dirty hands and boots. All that we received in regards to compensation for our car being in an accident and being 10 days late was a $100 coupon to a few restaurants in town. We were overall very dissatisfied with the service, timeline, and care of this establishment.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with SGT Auto Transport that I feel compelled to warn others about. I contracted them to transport a vehicle and was initially quoted a price, but the process quickly turned into a bait-and-switch scheme. After signing a contract, they attempted to increase the cost by $200 USD, claiming it was a penalty for a failed dispute with a previous $149 USD charge that their agent assured me would be resolved by simply changing my card details. This advice was misleading, as it led to the debt being sent to Midwest Fidelity Services LLC for collection, who have since harassed me with calls before 8 AM while I’m on duty with my command—clearly a violation of fair practices. The lack of transparency and poor communication was staggering.

Despite their claims of a price-match guarantee and no hidden fees, I was left stressed and out of pocket. The agent’s negligence caused significant inconvenience, and the follow-up collection efforts have put my credit at risk. I strongly advise avoiding SGT Auto Transport unless you’re prepared for deceptive tactics and unprofessional service. I’m pursuing further action through the CFPB to address this, but others should think twice before trusting this company.
