    My husband switched our electricity after being approached at Sam's Club. We were typically paying about $300/month. Our projected bill for this next month was showing $596 and I checked it again today and it's well over $600. This is INSANE!!!! We will be calling to cancel very soon. There best not be a cancellation fee as they scammed us and also the website states if you call to exit, there's no exit fees.

    I was looking up alternate energy companies online and read that Just Energy's impact on the environment is better. Plus, their website is well put together. So, I signed up with them and their team was very professional. They joked with me and tried to make me feel comfortable. They were wonderful people. This is my first time having an energy in my name, so far, Just Energy is better than other companies.

    I just moved out the old apartment and moved in to the new place. When I signed it up, I was told I can transfer my account to new place. But, it was NOT! I just called in and asked me the transfer, but I was told that my account is already cancelled. Then, I asked how I can transfer at the customer service. And their answer was call to the salesperson in CA. Obviously, I do not have the sales person number!!! I think I am getting the exit fee $150 from PG&E.

    I live on 2550 which isn't much. I used to pay a hundred for energy but then two times I had to pay $150 because my AC and heater weren't working. Those times, my landlord bought me electricity and that was very expensive. More recently, a lady came and explained Direct Energy to me and how their service would make my energy bill cheaper. I called them and they told me that I was using a certain machine and that was why my bill was so expensive. I moved out from where I was and kept Direct Energy the whole time. I recommend them. Hopefully my bill will be cheaper than what I used to pay.

    I signed up for natural gas with Just Energy, through a very informative salesman who came to my door. I was very happy with the reduction in my bill but only a couple of months later they sent me a letter saying that they were changing the contract from 1000 therms per year to 100 hundred therms per year. OH HELL NO! First of all, it's a contract! How do you just arbitrarily decide to change a contract to 1/10th of the therms you were contracted for? If you're not making money, change it for every NEW customer you sign up but leave the existing contracts alone! Even changing the therms to 500 or 300 would have been more palatable and I probably would not be writing this review. Not a smart business decision Just Energy!

    Fortunately, if you call Just Energy directly to cancel, you will not have to pay your previous provider an Exit Fee. Make sure you get a confirmation number. I did have one saving grace with my experience. Both the person who sold the program and the customer service person I cancelled with were excellent representatives for their company. Both were totally informative, understanding, calm and polite.

    First of all, I was an international student at that time, and did not know anything about asking service from National Grid. I had some information from my friends, and I asked the first time a start service from National Grid for my electricity and gas. While, I was waiting for them to confirm it, two women came with some documents claiming that they are electricity and gas supplier. I of course thought they are coming from NG, and I confirmed whatever they said (they were speaking too fast).

    After, they left I searched and saw that they did the same to many people. So, I wanted to cancel immediately, and I called them. The representative on the phone insisted me to stay. Whatever I said, he did not recognize. Then, I closed the phone call. After a while this company step into my bills by giving much higher rates as they told me before (which I could not understand what they were talking about at that time). Now, I moved to another apartment, and they stuck me again, and somehow again they found my address and sent me a statement saying that either to end this with a $50 fee or to send my new account number. I sent the fee with the check, but I would say that to the individuals who read this before signing (or the ones who signed recently) please do not go with this door to door company.

    I received a letter stating JUST ENERGY will be reducing the Therms we signed up for. Our contract that is signed by Just Energy and us is for 1000 Therms per month. The letter we received states they are reducing it to 100 Therms per month. This is outrageous. We have signed up because their representative said we would only be charged between $5.95 and $6.50 a month plus PG and E Fee. Now I am paying twice that amount and they are going to change the terms of the contract. When I called them to complain I was told this is the way it is and if I don't like change back to PG and E. Well I will tell you what. That is exactly what I am going to do.

    My wife was met in Sam's Club by a gentleman claiming to represent Just Energy. He promised her lower monthly bills compared to our current bills through AmerEn, and a Sam's Club gift card. We have neither received the gift card, nor the lower bills. The first bill we had with Just Energy was slightly higher than we are used to paying, but I chalked it up to a warmer summer than last year. This month's bill is ridiculous. AmerEn wants 127$ for their electric supply and delivery, and Just Energy wants 176$ for their electric supply and delivery, despite both saying they "delivered and supplied" the same energy. I will be leaving Just Energy as soon as I can.

    When I was shopping at Sam's Club, a Just Energy rep stopped us and said he could save us money on our electric bills. I was paying 11.2 cents per kwh but he said he could save me money with their 12.1 cent deal that included free nights. He clearly said that the rate was 12.1 cent per kwh repeatedly but today I got the the contract in the mail that says they will be charging me 18.2 cent per kwh. 12.1 cents was just an average after you subtract the free nighttime usage. Just complete scammers with their tricky wording and smoke and mirrors. Dishonest and dirty way of doing business.

    I had been with the company for the last three years and strangely enough, I’ve been dropped out of the account. Somebody changed my account and I got an email from the company saying, “Wait. Come back. We lost you.” I never had any intention of leaving the company because I signed a three-year contract. I never authorized that and it was a little disturbing how they just lost my account. I was calling end of last week and early this week but the line was busy. I had been getting 40 minutes' wait times. It also kept asking me to leave a number and for five days, I was leaving messages but nobody ever called me back. That was disappointing and a little frustrating too. That’s something they definitely need to improve on.

    Yesterday was the first time that I directly called and some young lady luckily picked up the phone. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She walked me through the process and reinstated my account. That was very professional and customer service-oriented. But I’m still curious to know how my account got transferred. But until I learned about reinstating my account, I had no issues with Just Energy. Service is good and even though the neighborhood might have a power shortage, I never experienced that one. So overall, my experience with them has really been good.

    Just Energy was at Sam's Club and they explained what they had and the benefits. I was also getting a Sam's Club gift card there so I figured I would give it a try and see how it goes. The people there were very nice. The young lady was new and there was another gentleman helping her with the ropes or things she wasn't quite familiar with yet. But they did very well and they were good at answering my questions too. It's been two weeks and I haven't gotten a bill yet but so far, the service has been good. Our power flickered during the night but I figured that was because of the heat and people using more energy. But overall, I'm satisfied with Just Energy.

    The rate has been changed to what I have been suggested while signed up. The extra charge for the higher rate (18.1 c/kwh) has been refunded to my account. The price is reasonable after the updated rate. FYI, there are two more items - Green Charge and Base Charge which is about $10, in each billing cycle. Thank you resolving the issue.

    When I signed up with a representative at the Sam's Club, he clearly said that the rate is 12.1 cent per kwh but today I got the bill charging me 18.2 cent per kwh. Good at making me fool! I switched from Reliant which had a rate 12 cent per kwh with no contract. I have to wait another 11 months to say goodbye forever to you. Most probably join Reliant again.

    Today a salesman with this company bothered me at my home, and covered up that he was actually a salesman. He told me that he is with the company who provides gas to PG&E, and that they're checking in to make sure PG&E isn't overcharging consumers for the gas they (Just Energy) provide to them (PG&E). He asked me to get my energy bill to verify my rate. He also told me that he would ensure my rate was lowered. I told him that I am on a low-income plan through PG&E, and he said that I would keep my low income discount and they will lower my bill in addition. Once I found my bill he took it and called PG&E with my account number so that he could get personal information and sign me up, and I became very uncomfortable.

    I Googled Just Energy to find out that this was actually just a salesman, showed him on my phone, and I told him I would like to look into this on my own. He left me alone after that. He bothered my neighbors as well and did not give us an option to say "no thank you" or "I don't have time," just that he would be back in 15 minutes once we find our energy bills. Come to find out, through Just Energy's Wikipedia page, they have been in a lot of trouble for deceptive sales practices. Consumers also report energy bills in fact going up. As a very low income resident I am very upset that this person bothered me at home out of nowhere and almost put an extra financial burden on me.

    I received exactly the same letter that Ron in Sacramento did changing my annual therm allowance from 1,000 to 1/10th that: 100! I live farther south so it arrived on 23 June 2018. I signed a contract on 23 Sept 2017 for gas procurement services at $5.99/ month for 60 months (i.e., expiring on 20 Oct 2022) for no more than 1,000 annual therms. My actual usage for the last 8 months (21 Oct 2017 - 20 June 2018) has been 441 therms, including 3 months (Dec, Jan & Feb) where usage was 90 or more per month; estimated usage based on prior years for the remaining 4 months in this first "annual" period is 35 therms for a total of 476. Check the web: these folk are well-known scammers! Ron & others in CA should file a complaint (as I did) with the California Public Utilities Commission - the CPUC is on to them.     So we switched to Just Energy thinking we will have Lower bills. Because that’s what the sales lady told us at Sam's Club. Um yeah think again. We are in a two bedroom apartment. Our bill has increased by almost 200 dollars. Before switching to Just Energy we had a monthly bill of 115-128 for years now my June bill is 250 and my estimated July bill is 293 yes 293. On Wednesday we decided to switch back to previous company. And we received an email from Just Energy asking us to come back with a better deal and perks so we did but after login into my account and seeing my next bill will be 293 we are thinking about switching back for sure to my original company. I can’t do 300 for a 2 bed apartment that crazy. You guys are scammers.

    I want to cancel with Just Energy. I signed up because I had my gas disconnected for a few days. My action was preventative so their service would regulate my bill and it would be cheaper. Still, I didn't see any improvement. I talked to Semco and Just Energy was more expensive than them. I feel I'm better off with Semco.

    We signed up for Just Energy being told we would "save money"... our bill increased 25% with Just Energy! (hidden fees). After a year, my job changed out of state (no covered with Just Energy) and we sold our house. The new owners did not want Just Energy and transferred service to their name to a different company. Just Energy sent us a new bill with $175 exit fee...this is ridiculous! It would be understandable if I have CHOSEN to go with another company - but I moved out of state and to a state you do not serve! In our new state Just Energy is NOT an option. Therefore they can't be my service here. When attempting to call them they have twice put me on ENDLESS holds that last hours and eventually, I just have to hang up because I have a LIFE. They do not want to do the right thing and reverse the exit fee.

    What a Horrible company. Maybe I can get your attention by calling your 800 number 1000 times a day with an autodialer just to cause your company to have an added expense of the 800 phone connect fees. Or maybe just file claims in court injunctions against you and make your attorney fee increase FAR more than the wrongly billed exit fee... WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY... Thank you for ruining my day and making me spend multiple days away from doing my job and costing me even more - HORRIBLE!

    My first contact with Just Energy began in August of 2017. Before then, I was paying $25 per month in gas procurement charges, so you can imagine how happy I was when a Just Energy rep rang my doorbell and told me that he would be able lower my charge to only $5.99 per month, and informed me that the other companies were overcharging their customers. Sure enough, on my November bill I was only charged $5.99, and I was a happy camper—-until today (June 22), when I received a letter from Just Energy stating that they were lowering the annual gas usage threshold from 1000 therms to a paltry 100 therms!

    In my household, one winter month already eats up over 80 therms, which means that once my gas usage goes over 100 therms for the year, I would be charged extra and my rate would change. No mention was made of this “amendment” when I initially signed up, and my Afford-a-Bill plan Letter of Authorization (contract) specifically states that the term is for 5 years, and that I would be charged a flat monthly fee of $5.99 per month.

    I thought I’d found the perfect gas supplier, but I guess I was wrong. This sounds a little like a bait-n-switch routine to me, where they lure you in with low rate to get you to sign up, and then turn right around and change the terms so that you end up paying a higher rate. I don’t know if this is considered a breach of contract or if it’s legal, but when I called Just Energy and spoke with a supervisor, she couldn’t tell me why they were doing this, but just basically said that if I didn’t agree with the change in contract terms, that I had the option to cancel my service and that they would process my request without charging an exit fee. So beware if you get a knock on your door from Just Energy.

    Early May my husband and I was doing some shopping at Sam's Club and a couple of guys for Just Energy had stopped. Pitched a really great offer to sign up for Just Energy, showed us the perks and even offered a $45 Sam's card. Well although I satisfied with the company and its customer service, I feel misled and lied to. I had already had an Energy provider on my account and didn’t know that signing up would cause me to owe them $100. Also it’s almost July and I never even received the $45 Sam's card. Feel ripped off in a way and I asked before signing up was it a scam to get me to sign up, they said, "No."

    I had a service with them. For 4 months they overcharged me and lied to me. I paid everything through credit card in 2014, the balance was 0. Now is 2018 they put me through collections after 4 years for 52 dollars and never contacted me in 4 years, which I contact them when I closed my account as well all my accounts with Royal Bank, another crooks and thefts... All of you don't do any business with this crooks, just go and open a fraud account with Consumer Affairs as well, open a fraud investigation with Equifax, They are crooks and thieves, don't do any business with them.

    I went with Just Energy when a guy came to my door. He said my bill will be 29.99 a month. Now I'm pay over 50 a month. They are complete scam artist. Don't trust what they say. It looks like I'm getting charged by them and PG&E for the same gas. They are double dipping. Don't sign up with this company.

    Just Energy had a stand set up at a Sam’s Club and I talked to a rep there. They had pamphlets and an iPad to fill out everything. The incentive was that if I signed up for Just Energy, I would get a Sam’s Club gift card which would pretty much cover my yearly subscription to going to a Sam’s Club. So, if I signed up, Just Energy would basically give me a $45/year Sam’s Club card that I could just use to make purchases on. I thought everything had gone through just fine but there was an issue in making the transition to Just Energy from my current carrier BG Energy. They needed some more documentation and I didn’t fully understand what they needed from me. And so, I just didn’t go through with applying for everything. And I’m moving anyway in a month. So, I figured I’ll just redo it at that time.

    They are getting 1 star since 0 stars is not an option. We have had a contract with Just Energy since 2007 and up until July 2017 everything was fine. We used the product, got an invoice, paid the bill. We had always been on the budget billing option and knew EXACTLY where our account stood. The account could be reconciled each and every month, add new usage, subtract payments and agree with the outstanding balance. This, as it should be, was a user -friendly option so in case of vacation etc. the payment could be made in advance and we knew our account was always current. Once a year there was a "settlement" month where any outstanding amount was settled or any credit was left to be used up over the coming months. Sometimes at this point the monthly budget amount would change due to changes in usage but it would then remain a constant amount until the next settlement month.

    This all changed as of the June 2017 billing. This was now a new line on the statement of account "credit/debit to budget billing". Ever since this change the statement is impossible to balance... the outstanding balance keeps increasing, the budget amount changes and repeated calls to customer service resolve nothing. In October of 2017 we attempted to pay the outstanding balance. The response was to lower the budget billing amount. Another call to customer service... My outstanding balance is growing by the month, I ask about a settlement month. They inform me there isn't one. I ask "When am I ever going to catch up on the outstanding balance." The response is "NEVER". I am very disappointed in their new system for billing and "NEVER" will arrive in 2020 when our contract expires.

    At that time, by my rough calculation, we will owe about $2500.00. We will be looking for a company that offers at the very least a bill that can be understood and reconciled with a budget amount that remains constant. After all, isn't that the whole idea of budget billing. With the rising cost of utilities comprising a significant part of our household budget we find this new billing method very confusing to us as customers. I also was not thrilled about the $2.00 charge per month for a paper statement. With the carbon tax added and increasing distribution/delivery costs this was another unwelcome charge each month. On one of my many calls to customer service we discussed this charge. The representative assured me this charge could be deleted from further bills and/or we could choose to access our account online.

    We opted to be able to access our account online. Many attempts to register for online viewing proved futile. Another call to customer service... the $2.00 for billing has been deleted but I am not receiving bills and cannot access them online. I then find out the website on the account statement is not really the one I need to be using??? Really??? Could they make it any more complicated... That answer is... YES. They can.     In the summer of 2017, Just Energy had a booth/table at HEB in Sugar Land on Highway 6. Just Energy was promoting an electricity plan of "Free Nights 9 pm-7 am and a rate of 9.3kwh." They were handing out cards with this info on it. I still have the one they gave me. I signed up with Just Energy through the use of an IPAD. Somehow, the IPAD converted my plan to something else. Just Energy made a bunch of excuses and said that I signed for the Free Nights 9.3 promotion and that the bait and switch contract would get fixed. I then started dealing with a supervisor who eventually cut my bill in half in the beginning to try and fix the problem. Her name is Elena **. She acknowledged in emails that my issues needed to get fixed and that Just Energy didn't have a program to determine how much electricity was used at night versus during the day.

    This October 2017 email is the last email she sent until May 2018. "I totally agree with you, the fix is taking way to long. My sincere apology, I’m still waiting for the new product (bundled Nights Free). At this time, if you provide me some more time ill waive half of your last invoice ($198.08 /2 = $99.04). Thoughts…" The whole marketing campaign appears to be a scam to get people to sign up and then bait and switch the customer and then try to wear him down with delays. After disappearing for 7 months, Ms. ** emailed the following: "I received your message and have your account flagged. I’ve been out of pocket, my apologies for the late note. I can give you a call tomorrow, what is a good time for you?"

    She never called. I have made 2 or 3 calls to Just Energy since that email and have been told that a supervisor will call me back. As of right now, a supervisor has not returned my calls. I talked to a supervisor today who said she would call me back by 1:00 pm. Hopefully she will call me back. I do not recommend this company. As of today, I don't know what HEB's connection is to this company other than HEB let them inside their store to promote the "Free Nights and 9.3."

    I have been with Just Energy for quite a while now. I did not have a problem with the company until a few months ago. I never had a problem recommending them to friends and family before now, but I'm seriously thinking of accepting an offer from a company that helps my community. I transferred my services to my new home in March. I was doing month to month and as I spoke with the saleswoman she convinced me to sign up for a contract. I didn't have a problem with this. Plus I was excited that I was blessed to be able to have them transferred the next day. Well I explained to the lady that the lights would be turned off at my old address 3 days later on the 21st at the old address. Well a month and a half later as I'm streaming through my emails, I see that I'm getting weekly updates for the old address.

    It's been a month and half and you think I'm going to pay for services for someone else at a resident that I am no longer residing? It was supposed to be investigated but I see the account is still open for that address and another old address where I never moved in because the house was not livable, and once again I was told the services were definitely discontinued. I paid for the few days that it was on because the company that tried to rent out the house used energy for the 2 or 3 days it was in my name... And surprise.!! Another 53 dollar bill... How can I be charged for 2 residences when I only reside at one, and I paid the bills for both old addresses in March to have a clean slate and nothing jeopardizing me having to pay a deposit... I'm scratching my head on this one. 03/15/2018 $162.08 Credit Card (old residence). 03/07/2018 $188.54 Credit Card (old residence). 03/15/2018 $86.82 Credit Card (unlivable residence).

    Incomplete information while adding for the flat rate 5.99 plan. Guys I am shocked seeing my bill, PG&E will charge money for transferring gas and Just Energy for Gas and at the end I am paying higher than the amount what I would have been paid without Just Energy. Can someone explain me about this, whenever I try to call Just Energy for cancellation or for any information nobody will lift phone and always same message they are on Holiday. I tried reaching them 100 times and all times they are on Holiday and luckily I tried to reach next stage. They’ll tell PG&E contact number, but no direct customer service for cancelling service, no response to emails... BEWARE.

    My daughter said that I shouldn’t have made the change to Just Energy. When I made the change I also felt like I should have stayed with PECO and everything stays the way it was. There were two things that confused me being with Just Energy as I’m older, and I didn’t know why it had to be a change made from PECO. All my bills came from PECO and they took care of everything. And PECO is still sending a bill, but it’s a very slight one. And I’m paying as I go along and figuring that If I could, I’d go change and go back to having everything with PECO and not have anything else.

    I like being with one company and it was my error. The girl asked to see my bill and I should never have shown her my bill because everything’s on it. What she was introducing was that it would be lower to pay but so far I had to pay the same. The bills from Just Energy are coming and I’ve been paying them off. I pay the same amount for PECO and Just Energy which are small. I’m dissatisfied because everything doesn’t come in on the one bill. When my daughter took over and called Just Energy, they were going to try it out for a certain length of time with the two bills. But I really wish that I hadn’t even started the thing in the first place because it was very hard for me to keep track of it. And if I made any changes, from what my daughter said after she talked with some of the people, it would be costly to change it back to PECO.

    Was with them for 3+ years at $140 a month locked in, then got automatically renew for 3 more years. How can that happen? Then received a first increase of $20 a month after they signed me up then another $20 increase a few months later. I asked for an explanation... My consumption! Well, one less person in the house and energy prices has never been that low. How's that possible! I was ready to accept the poison pill after the first $20 increase fair enough... But for sure not the second one.

    I signed originally for a fixed monthly price. Not a fluctuating like this one. I decided to change provider and they asked for more than a $1000 to move with another one. They didn't hold their part of the contract. Really not impressed with their customer services. Besides pointing out my consumption where it is hard to believe and how can I really be certain of their claim anyway. I made sure none of my friends will be in the same situation and I would warn everyone dealing with them.

    I set up an account online for a second home in Atlanta, GA. The website has a bug where it will transpose your billing address with your service address. Beware! Customer service seems to be offshore and is not very helpful when they go off their script. One agent told me I entered the address wrong. There is no way I could have entered my billing address in the service address field! Just Energy doesn't service my billing address. If they have bugs like this on their website I wonder if customer data is at risk!

    I signed up for Just Energy through a rep at HEB on May 8th. I was told that the service would not start until May 10th and I had until that day to cancel. I went home and found a better rate with another company and called Just Energy to let them know that I didn't want to start the service. They confirmed that my service had not started and would not start. I just received a bill from them for service on the 10th and 11th and when I called back they said they had no record of me calling to cancel and therefore I have to pay the bill. This was the Just Energy Customer Rep's fault not mine. Not happy with the customer service and thankful to have switched providers to Reliant.

    I was moving into a place April 27th and had called at least a week before to set up utilities at the condo starting April 27th. It turned out that the place was unlivable so I called first thing Monday April 30th to cancel and move utilities to a new place that I had found over the weekend. I asked them to clarify to me that the 27-30 for the condo would show separately on the bill and the 1st-end of bill date would show separately as well but on the same bill. I got my bill and it was $180 for April 20th (not the 27th) to April 30th. First off no one was living in this place so for the bill to be $180 is absurd when nothing was being used and second I never once said I was moving in on the 20th.

    I called Just Energy to try to get this resolved and the lady was extremely condescending and she explained to me I need to get proof that I only lived there the 27-30 so I did right away. I emailed it off to the email she provided and they emailed me a couple days later with the exact same bill I received in the beginning even after I explained to them once again, the whole situation and that they need to help me fix this so the Condo owners can pay for the portion of the bill. I also have yet to be able to login to my account and every time I ask someone about it they say their portal is down and I should try resetting my password which I have three times now so if I want my bill I have to email them and ask them to send me a copy.

    AND it is now the 14th and I just received a call asking me if I have electricity and gas because my new address they have on my file doesn't work when I told them to take it from the owner who is with just energy and has the same ID's and transfer it to under my name so I can take it over. But obviously that never got done until today when they had to call me and question why I don't have services! This has honestly been the most painful and inconvenient experience of my entire life.

She asked to see my energy bill and we talked about what the current rate was and what their rate was. And showed me the paperwork and we signed the contract. She then made a phone call and locked it in so that we were set. The process was very simple and easy. There was a significant drop in price compared to the energy company that we had and it was a locked-in rate for 5 years. So even as the energy company fluctuated their rates, which they still do, I’m locked-in at a very low rate. I would recommend Just Energy. I'd tell friends to dig out their current energy bill and contact Just Energy and find out what the price comparisons are, the differences and what the locked-in rates could be.

    I used to use IMP years ago and a lady from Just Energy came out on our front door. At that time, they were going with lower gas rates so I went with them. However, my energy bills went up. I called and asked them to give me a notification on when I could lock my gas prices but I haven't received any phone calls since I've been with them. It's their prerogative to keep their customers happy. I've not called this year and locked in my gas prices and I have no problem going back to NIPSCO.

    Just Energy's rep caught me at the right moment and he explained and went through everything. They had one of the lowest rates. I took the rate that would stay the same for at least a year then it would go up only so much after that. However, I didn't like that the presentation was a little long when it could be a little shorter. They also wanted both the husband and the wife to be listening. That's not necessary. And I’ve been finding that very annoying. Everybody makes the decision now.

When I was with Direct Energy my bill was almost $200 because I’m in a big home. She told me about the rate, and then I just went ahead and signed up for it.     There was a guy from Just Energy that was out in my neighborhood going door to door and he compared my bill to theirs. He told me Anchor wouldn’t be billing me and I was confused about that because how come Anchor would not bill me when I'm using Anchor. The rep was nice and sweet, and he knew what he was talking about. But after him, it was hell. Just Energy was supposed to turn the service on three weeks ago but they never did. They just turned it on last week. Dealing with their customer service was horrible. I was waiting on one person and that person was waiting for another person and this person was waiting on that person. Supervisors were busy and they couldn't get on the phone. I had talked to them from about 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM. I’m very dissatisfied 'cause if I’m having this much trouble and I haven't even got the bill yet, I wonder what I’m gonna go through when I get a bill and have questions.

    Just Energy is the Biggest SCAM I have encountered. They sold me a service and locked me in for 5 years. They came in and looked at my bill - told me that according to my usage as a single individual living in a house that it would reduce my costs. Instead, it tacked on an additional $40 to my Hydro and $50 to my gas and for the past 5 years I have been paid over $5000 to a middleman company that never once reduced or modified the cost except to add to it extra "vendor fees".

    On top of which their Customer Service department was absolutely useless to do anything about it to ensure any type of customer satisfaction full well knowing that I qualified as one of the individuals that this program would NOT benefit. I get that there are people in situations who would benefit from such a program, but these people have looked at my usage etc still went ahead to sell me a useless product that has cost me over $5000 over the last 5 years. In the images attached you can see the difference with and without this service.

    The Just Energy team came to the door and they explained different things to me and I thought it was a good deal. Prior to my change over from Duke Energy to Just Energy, the season was about to change and from that point, Just Energy and Duke Energy were about the same. I've re-insulated my home and done some other things as far as saving on energy, and when I had Duke, I didn't do those things. And then when the season changed into winter and I did my insulation thing, I noticed a difference between the winter bill with Just Energy and with that of Duke. My experience with Just Energy has been okay.

    In 2002 we began buying electricity from Commerce Energy and everything went smoothly. This month we had an enormous increase on our bill. I just discovered that our energy supplier was switched from Commerce to Just Energy a year ago without any notification. When I called Just Energy last week I was told that they could not find our account and that the company doesn’t sell electricity in California. I called several times and no one could find any record of us! Just how then were they able to charge us over $300 on this recent bill? They said our case would be expedited and we should hear from someone in five days but so far I have not been contacted by anyone. This is just ridiculous.

    Updated on 05/10/2018: I was told in my last exchange that the problem had been solved. This month once again, there was no charge on my utility bill for the electricity provided by this company. I emailed my contact there a week ago and again this morning. I have not been contacted. This is a ridiculous and frustrating situation.

    When I had called to start service with them, they spoke very fast and I wasn't aware at the time how much of a scam this was. They promised to lock in my rate, which was very high compared to the service I had been receiving straight from the electric company (Almost Double!!!). Then they proceeded to charge me for some sort of green energy plan that I had no idea they signed me up for. I called to complain. They spoke very fast when reading the terms and agreements to the point where I could not understand them and I was not aware that they auto renew your account unless you call to cancel.

    They said they sent out a renewal letter, but I never received one. I called to cancel and said that I didn't want to renew and they started racking up charges left and right. Now they are telling me that I owe DOUBLE the amount from when I canceled. So far, this company has been nothing but shady and untrustworthy from day one and they keep tacking on extra charges. My electric bill was $300 for 1 bedroom apt. They will rack up fees and charges quicker than you can ask about them. They will do anything to trap you into a contract and take money from you. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

    I have now received TWO "De-enrollment" letters from Just Energy. I don't even understand what this is. I think I signed up with Commerce Energy for electric a few years ago when they came to my door, but since it was all bundled with Delmarva and was billed by Delmarva I never really thought about it. My Delmarva bills are charged to my bank account each month so I don't really think about Commerce (or Just Energy).

    I called when I received the first De-enrollment notice and they gave me a case number, said not to worry about it, and that they'd get back to me within 5-7 business days. Now I've received my second "De-enrollment" notice but I have yet to receive a call back from the first one. I called again yesterday and somehow got a specific woman's voice mail greeting (rather than general customer service) so I left her a voicemail message. No idea what is going on or why I would be De-enrolled. They have always been paid through Delmarva. The whole thing is wacky. I hope someone sees this and gets back to me. Thanks.

    Sounds like I am not the only CA resident dissatisfied with my experience. I had someone come to our home and tell us that we would be charged a flat rate of $10 for gas and that PGE would not be charging us gas anymore. Obviously we signed up! Come to find out I am being charged by PGE and Just Energy now. I emailed with no reply even though they say they will get back in 2 business days. I called customer service and the person I talked to didn't even know what was going on? She just said that what I was told isnt correct and that I have to pay both. When I asked what the benefit of paying for Just Energy she couldnt tell me. I don't understand what I am even paying for and am very upset I was deceived by the salesperson. I was promised that Debra or Debbie who is the sales manager would call me back and explain everything. I have yet to receive a callback.

One guy showed up threatening me to provide gas service provider otherwise PGE will disconnect my service. He told me he works with PGE to provide gas service. Well, eventually forced me to change gas service provider. I am going to contact local authorities about this scam.

    I signed up with Just Energy thinking my bill would be lower because she said I would have set price per there. Well come to find out I am paying two bills one with So Cal gas and Just Energy. My bill is so much higher with Just Energy than my regular bill with gas company. I canceled my Just Energy and come to find out I will be billed two more bill cycles after my cancellation. My bill this month was 105. Compared to the max of 60 dollars. I feel they are deceiving. Do not recommend this service.

    If I have one more person with a Just Energy vest come to my door asking me for my Nyseg billing account information it's going to be a big problem. I'm not interested in switching and being harassed about it is starting to get old. I don't know if it is company policy to trick people into handing over sensitive information but this is not okay. I cannot stress this enough. The guy wasn't trying to encourage me to switch by asking me to nor did he give me a speech about it. He just showed up, knocked on my door and was asking me for my electric/gas bill and account information. And if no one from the business is sending people door to door, then you guys got an even bigger problem to look out for. I'm not switching companies, and this is not a good way to go about it either.

    Stopped at Sam's Club by a Just Energy sales kid. He proceeded promise me gifts and benefits that his organization could lavish upon me if I would simply agree to a few tasks. A minute later I found out he enrolled me in some energy management company. But wait I ask, "You said nothing about a contract".     Just Energy sold me on the idea that I could get locked in to a lower rate than what the gas player that I currently have was using. The company that I go through is Semco Energy Gas and Just Energy became my gas supplier through Semco. I pay whatever the costs are that Just Energy provides to Semco and they’re a line item on the itemized bill that I get from Semco.

    There was a massive disclaimer that I had to go through to cancel Just Energy and that scared me away from cancelling my contract with them because I knew that if I tried to cancel at a certain time, they were going to charge me this or do that. Red flags should have been triggered for me to not even mess around with a contract with them once I knew it was going to be difficult to get out of. But for some reason, their rep caught me in a good mood that day and I signed up. I would tell my friends to stick with the natural gas that their company already provides instead of messing around with another company who’s trying to buy into their provider because they don’t know what they're getting.

    When first signing up with Just Energy I was told my bills would be a certain amount per month and possibly even less. When I moved into my own home for the first month or two my bills were great. When I moved I was told my agreement did not transfer over. At first I was told they needed a meter reading and then I was told they have the wrong service agreement ID number. Although in the billing from PG&E all of the building and transfer and everything on my side was done correctly. When asked Just Energy they have no idea why although I called in June to get my billing resolved. They have no idea why they still were not billing me until February of 2018.

    I called multiple times to speak to supervisors. I called PG&E who stated didn't know anything about Just Energy and Just Energy doesn't seem to care about gaining or losing customers or owning up to their responsibilities of being a reputable company. I will never recommend them to anyone not unless they would like to be scammed. I was also told that Just Energy is not a company to lower your bills but that they just provide energy so I asked what is your point of service. He said he didn't know and which he was supposed to be the supervisor who I was speaking with. Even when I told him I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau for their practices they did not seem to care.

I was overcharged for an item that I did not purchase and then was told I had an overdue payment.     The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Salesman says something and contract says something and their Power invoice have altogether price and after 3 months tells me to move to their Sister company "Hudson Energy" because my Unit falls under commercial Zone. Hudson Energy Charged me double the price for 5 years because I signed contracts three times and 2 contracts were null and void because salesman (Michael) did not had any knowledge and told me that if the market rates dropped down, I would be charged the less of either my contract price or Market price. That's the reason I signed the contract for 5 years. But they kept on billing me at my locked price which is 7.79 cents compared to 3.43 cents which is average of last 5 years power price.

    6 months before the contract expired I called them and told them that I did not want to continue with them and followed up 1 month before contract expired. Still they are prolonging as much as they can and told me it would take 4 months to get full and final invoice. They never give you the meter Readings like other company does in your Invoices. This Hudson and Just Energy are American based company who wants to rip off CANADIANS. Stay away from them.

    A door to door salesperson came to my location and told me that Just Energy would lower my monthly gas bill by having a flat rate of $5.99 per month. I just received my PG&E bill and was charged $6.35 from Just Energy in addition to the gas bill from PG&E. My monthly bill fluctuates but compared to last year it should not be this high. I compared usage from month to month and year to year and the bill does not match my consumption - I am paying more than I should be even though they "promised" to help lower my gas bill and that it would be a flat fee of $5.99.     A couple of months ago, a Just Energy representative came to my door and told me about their service. He told me that signing up for their program would "put a cap on the price charged per therm by SoCalGas". I asked over and over if there would be any additional charges on my bill or if my bill would change in any way, and he said they could not guarantee savings with the plan, but he assured me that no miscellaneous charges would appear on my bill.

    I experienced a slight increase last month, but I assume this was due to increased heating needs in the winter month. This month, my bill DOUBLED what I usually pay. On top of the 0.53/therm I was paying to SoCalGas, I am also getting charged 0.65/therm from Just Energy. So this program does NOT work as the representative explained it to me as I was told I would never pay more than 0.65/therm TOTAL for my gas, as this is how a cap works.

    I called Just Energy to discuss the problem with them, and the person I spoke to said that they had no record of charging me, even though I see the charge from them right in front of me on my SoCalGas bill. My gas bill is actually where I found THEIR number, next to the third party charge from them. He tried to sell me a "fixed rate" plan when I told him that I felt the service was misrepresented.

    I'm currently out of state and will have to look at my contract with them in detail, but I think I remember that there was a cancellation fee of a couple hundred dollars. I have been completely screwed by this company. I live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford to be double charged on my gas bill, yet alone pay a couple hundred dollars to pay the cancellation fee. If this situation is not resolved with Just Energy, I will be seeking legal advice.

    Bill has doubled over the last several months. Paying 8.69 kwh in power (Alberta average is 5.09-6.59 /Kwh) and 5.79 gas (Alberta average is $3.59-$4.89/GJ) and $200 in admin fees and service charges. Service agreement is still in effect according to contract we received. We were prepaying several hundred dollars and received call and a letter complaining about it. We are looking at switching energy providers.

    Been with them for about 7 months, and while they were pricey, I thought everything was going smoothly. However after this bill went from $41 to $120 and next estimated bill being a little over $140, with no change at all in my lifestyle (heck I was even gone for the holidays) I am cancelling ASAP. Their only thoughts on the subject after 37 minutes on hold, was to give me tips on saving energy during the winter... Thanks Just Energy.

    I had another issue with a bill with DTE and found out that unknown to my wife and I we had been signed up for this program. It is a set amount for gas but since gas prices have been lower lately we have been paying almost double for our natural gas. I feel they are very dishonest and complete scam. I would advise everyone to review their energy bill and determine what their charges are. My next stop is to file a formal complaint with the State of Michigan AG.

    Today I found out we have a contract with Just Energy that is set to end in May 2021... First thing is our contract was only supposed to be a year at a time, that's what we were told anyways. Then looking online at the bill and account information you can't find anywhere on there where it gives you length of term, or date you agreed into the new contract term. It just says 40 months remaining and $75 cancellation fee, but from reading on here that 75 will be multiplied by the remaining years/partial years, correct? I am beyond angry about the way this company handles business, hiding information on my account about my account is just the tip of the corrupted iceberg. I was considering moving to another company before I found this all out but there is no second guessing that decision now. That's what I'll be doing.

    They are in business to make money, or else why would they exist?? Just Energy's value prop is they allow you the flexibility to cap your rate at .0899 or .0749 when you should not have to do that all. Ride the market wave with ComEd!! We barely went over .059 when we were with. Money making scam!!! 1 star for Angelay the sweet customer service girl that cancelled my contract.

    I recently started to pay my elderly mothers bills and realized she is with Just Energy. I received my bill today and there is a "Other Charges" section that lists "Supplier Charges" for $495, on top of my regular charges and bill totals to almost 800$ for last month. People's gas claims it's a Just Energy charge, and looking at previous bills there are INSANE "Other Charges" EVERY MONTH. My neighbors gas bill DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER CHARGES. He lives in a similar home to ours. Pays 1/3 of what we do. We live in a 2 story home and keep temps at 66-70 depending on how cold it is outside. Seems ridiculous to me, looking into this matter and will definitely seek legal help if necessary. BEWARE.

    I was told a flat rate when I signed up and somehow my electric and gas have both doubled since signing up. I don’t pay for heat or hot water so this colder month cannot be to blame. I spent only 2.5 of the 4 weeks in my apartment due to the holidays. I purposefully unplugged everything you bill. Should have been down 20-30% not up 234%. This company is seriously shady. I will be cancelling my service today. This company gives green energy a bad name because of their lies and manipulation.

    I signed up when a lady at Sam’s Club talked to me about Just Energy. I had about six months left on my previous electricity provider. She said Just Energy would pay my cancellation fee of $250. Now I find they will only pay $150. She said her boss has a 5300 square foot home and in the summer his bill is only $58. I live in Texas. (I should have known that was too good to be true but I bought it.) I received my statement for January electricity consumption and it was $77. So, I know electricity in the summer will be considerably higher. When this 2 yr contract is through, I’m out!

    I'm writing this letter to report my concern of the action of a Just Energy agent I encountered today in Davis, CA. I rejected an agent's request to sign the agreement. A Just Energy agent came to my door this afternoon and claimed that she was associated with PG&E. Then she promised me 5.99$+ tax gas bills. I asked over and over for confirmation that no other charges will be accumulated, she said there would be no extra charge.

    Then she requested my personal info such as address, email, phone number, and even my service agreement ID from PG&E! At the end, she asked me to sign the electronic agreement on her iPad and I REJECTED her request and told her I needed contact PG&E first before I sign it. Then she just left abruptly. I feel lucky that I didn't sign the contract without doing research on the company.

    My concern of her suspicious behavior was verified after searching Just Energy online. Now I'm very worried that if she would actually sign the electronic agreement on behalf of me since she already got all my personal info other than my signature. As a senior college student who is currently on heavy student loan and move frequently, I have no plan to commit to this 5 year contract as mentioned in the electronic agreement on her iPad. I truly appreciate that if you could check the database to ensure that she has not signed me up for this agreement without my consent, otherwise a LEGAL complaint will be pursued against her and the company immediately.

    I was approached at HEB and they assured me how much I would save. And free nights. Then I get the weekly estimated bill that said over $300. Called customer service and she told me, “Oh that is just an estimate. I am sure your bill won’t be that high.” Bill comes $302. Called again, they said my bill doesn’t look right and they will have my meter read again. Called again and was told it was the plan I am on, call that same night to cancel once I went back to my old company and was asked how long I been in my home. I said, "15 years, and NEVER had a bill this high." He got quiet this said, “Well we have had a lot of ice lately”... really just energy. Then tells me, “Well we send you weekly emails.” I said I called then. I am so frustrated with this company.

    I was approached at Sam's Club by an agent who informed me that I could save on my monthly bill plus receive a $45 Sam's Club card. After signing up, just 10 days into the billing cycle my bill went up $40. I spoke with the agent who got me to signed up and he just said I will just be out of $40 since I get a gift card. Spoke with Just Energy and they said they don’t know why they charged me 19@5.36 rather than consumers which was 3.6. Terrible service and I will be cancelling with them right away. Bad company to have representing at Sam's Club.

    I have been running the same things for the last several months. My bill was $174 last month, $315 this month and with weekly usage analysis estimated to have already dropped $30 for next month's bill. Again I have been running nothing different. I have been with J/E for the last almost 3 years and have never had a bill so high. When I emailed customer service about it they just told me my previous bill had been paid. And it took them 3 weeks to respond. That's not what I emailed about! I'm very tempted to change services.

    Just Energy is probably the worst company you want to sign up with. A lady came to my mom’s house and promised her that she won’t pay more what she is paying now. Told her there were no other fees. Our bill is twice as it was before. They sell you things that they can’t back up. We canceled a month after we were tricked into signing up and it turned out we never were canceled and they never had any news of us canceling. I had auto pay and was being charged this whole time. I caution anyone who want to sign up. All these one star ⭐️ ratings are all the same story. Told about their services and then customers not getting what they were promised. I did call Just Energy and they will cancel mine and stated that they would take 1-2 billing cycles. From what I read sometimes they do not keep this promise to, it’s pretty sad that we would have to fight this hard to fix their issue.

    I had a saleswoman knock on my door and offer me savings for my gas bill. Naturally I accepted and jumped through all the hoops because it appeared that I would only be paying $17.99 a month. It all sounded great until I actually received the bills. On top of the $18.26 from Just Energy, I also had to pay delivery charges bringing my total bill to $41.86. After reviewing how much I paid last year and previous bills, my new "savings" was NEARLY DOUBLE. This sounded very predatory in my honest opinion. The lady that sold me on the savings plan never mentioned that I would be paying a delivery charge on top of their fee. She made it seem like I would be paying $18 out the door and that I'd definitely be saving money on this plan.

    After paying too much for 3 straight months, I had enough and cancellation was simple when I called the customer service line. Let me paint another picture for those thinking of subscribing to Just Energy. This is what I paid before and after Just Energy when comparing my bills. December 2017: $41.86. December 2016 $28.41. November 2017: $26.13. November 2016: $20.46. October 2017: $24.15. October 2016: $10.93. Very disappointed. Buyer beware!

    Just Energy agents came to my door at the start of winter and they promised me 5.99$+ tax gas bills. I asked over and over for confirmation that no other charges will be accumulated, since it sounded too good to be true. Well it was... What the agent failed to say even when I prompted him is that the 5.99$ is for gas procurement only, there is still the separate fee from PG&E for delivery... Granted I was being comfortable in using gas knowing I'll get charged a flat rate. So my PG&E delivery came at 100$.

    I'm not saying it is a scam, looking at the contract now, there was a mention of PG&E delivery. The thing I am upset about is how the agent at my door guaranteed it will be the entire total. Even when I was dumbfounded and repeatedly asked him if my bill will include anything except (Electricity +5.99 for just energy gas). Having your salesmen say anything to meet their quota is not how you run an honest business.

    I joined outside of HEB and was told how an amazing company. I have been with Just Energy now for about 6 months. So I had a rough month in December so I set up a payment plan with them to be taken out the 31st of December and the 15Th of January the money was not taken out so I call the company. Of course I get someone in India cause they don’t want to pay American workers. So I tell her my story that I set up payment arrangements with her coworker in December and that she asked me for my checking account information. I asked if the money was going to be drafted out in the dates. She said, "Yes" so I tell her why wasn’t the money taken out. She said which I couldn’t understand. She said something like, "You didn’t call on". I said, "I did and I made the payment arrangement". She said that I had to call on and make the payment.

    I told her that with T-Mobile and other companies they take your account info and take out the payments on the days you requested. She then said, "I’m sorry sir." She then kept talking. She wouldn’t let me get a word edgewise. She couldn’t help me I asked to speak to a manager she said no one is around. I have to change my payment now for the 15Th and 22 of January no one to talk to very bad service and communication. This is 2018 they can’t set up an account to take the money out automatically. I mean please. Such bad service. Bring American workers and set up accounting for the 21st century. I have to babysit my account. If I make a payment arrangements take the money out the day they are made that’s it and don’t give me a person who can’t speak English or communicate properly to your customers.

    We were approached by a rep at Sam's Club. We were told that our bill wouldn't go up but that wasn't the case. I have sat and figured up in the past 2 months we have been charge an extra $114.62 due to having Just Energy. I called them after I received the 1st bill and knew it went up. Our bill was $100 more than it was the previous month with less usage. I asked to cancel the service and rep tried to explain everything and I again asked him to cancel the service. He said he would and it would be back to normal on the next billing cycle. 2 months later I still am getting charged for Just Energy.

    I was approached by a sales representative in Sam's and was guaranteed a lower bill w/ free nights as well as Sam's membership renewal. Needless to say the Sam's membership was not renewed, the early termination fee was not paid to the other electricity provider and my bill is the higher than normal, almost $200 for a one-bedroom apartment; I thought I was making a great change but I feel I should have stayed with Green Mountain.

    Apparently a rep came to my home while I was at work and spoke to my boyfriend. He signed some paperwork and they changed my service without my consent. I am the account holder, not him. It was during the winter and I just thought my bill was higher due to the weather. I then noticed the 30.00 monthly fee I had been paying for months along with the increased electric charges through Just Energy.

    I called and spoke to a rep and was assured I would see a credit. Three months later still no credit and still getting charged. I work in the credit/accounting field and I believe it is against the law to discuss or change an account with someone other than the account holder. I am furious with this company and I will pursue this. I did not sign or give consent. This matter needs to be resolved immediately.

    I called in advance for a payment arrangement and was told the minimum amount to pay, I paid exactly what was told to me on the date I promised. The following week they disconnected my services. Come to find out the rep did not enter what he said. They figured out it was not my fault, waived the reconnection fees but I had to wait an entire week for reconnection. I am handicapped and so is our mother and we have three small children in the home. Due to my condition I must take multiple showers per day to fight infection daily. Each rep I spoke with told me something different and right when I thought it was solved someone told me something else that the last person said that was incorrect.

    I emailed my disability letter in four times. Then they tell me after three days that's not what we need. Wait. What?! Four days later? Well at this point I am beyond angry, we will be looking for another company. You should have some type of emergency reconnection service for customers that were interrupted in error in company error. We shouldn't have to be punished for their mistakes. I have been patient and respectful up until this point. Now I'm fed up and still don't have service for two more days. As soon as my services are reconnected I'll be going elsewhere.

    I signed up with Just Energy and my experience has been very smooth. I still get my bill through my regular electric company and the rate per kilowatt hour is about the same as it was when I was using dirty electric. As a bonus I got two free light bulbs and a $25 gift card from their perks program in the mail. Nice surprise, but I signed up to help clean up the environment, so I am a satisfied customer.

    Two of the representative came at my doorstep and as I was not at home (as they came during weekdays noon) they filled up the form by gathering my info from my wife by saying they are coming from PG&E. My wife inform them that she cannot give her consent without having a discussion with me, so asked them to come in the evening hours. When I came back from office she told me about the incident.

    After sometimes the Just Energy representatives came to my place and showed me the details in their tab but I informed them that I don't want to have their service and want my details to be removed from their system, which they assured me that they will start the service and I will be getting the confirmation from them within a week. BUT from the next months onwards I can see their service activated on my account and I am getting charged by Just Energy now.

    So can anyone please help me and guide me in how can I registered a complaint against them and where?

    Two people representing Just Energy came to my door around 8 PM. When I answered, they told me they were there on behalf of my utility company to see if I had been enrolled in its new "gas perks program." The verification of enrollment was on my last bill, could they see it please? I asked them what this new program was and one of the solicitors waggled a badge in my face while the two of them ignored my questions and repeatedly demanded that I get a copy of my last bill. By the fourth time they asked me to show them my bill we were all very exasperated with each other. When I told them I paid my bills electronically the woman with the badge rolled her eyes and the gentleman with her asked me if I could access it for them.

    At that point, realizing they weren't going to answer my (I thought reasonable) questions about this mysterious perks program that my utility company apparently needed to verify I joined in person, I told them "no thank you" and that they needed to leave. After closing the door, I immediately began researching Just Energy and found that they are in no way affiliated with my utility company. So why were they saying they were? Afterwards, I could hear this pair was knocking on every door in my apartment building pitching the same "perk program" line.

    I'm not sure who let them in. The apartment complex I live in has a strict no soliciting rule. This is posted on signs around the property in obvious locations. My initial confusion regarding their pitch was because 1. They claimed to be affiliated with my utility company (which was a lie) and 2. Solicitors are not allowed on the property. They blatantly ignored the rules. I called the apartment management to inform them that solicitors from Just Energy were on the property. I hope they got caught and kicked out.

    I called in May and told them I wanted my service ended on June 30 and did not want to renew my contract with them. Even though I did not renew my contract with them they say I wasn't specific enough about cancelling services. I said I didn't want to renew my contract on June 30, how could that mean I still wanted electricity! Additionally I never answered any of their subsequent emails and phone calls about renewing the contract. When I got my bill for July, when I wasn't living at the address, I called in and asked them to withdraw the bill and they said they could not unless I proved to them that I called in and cancelled. How am I supposed to do that months later?? A ridiculous waste of my time. I will not be using them again in the future!

    I have not yet been able to contact PSEG or Just Energy, and I'm hoping that my bill will be lowered once I'm able to touch base. My bill varies between $50 and $150 pretty typically. In the Summer, I see it reach about $150. This is my first bill with Just Energy and it is $660 for less than 20 therms of gas and about 1000 kwh of electric. My bill states that approximately $60 of the bill is the charge for electric and $20 is attributed to gas. (Last month, I paid approximately $150 for very similar usage.) The bill reads that approximately $580 is a charge from Just Energy. I was promised lower rates and all of the information that representative gave me made it seem like I would at the very least pay the same price I was consistently paying before. This is completely unacceptable.

    While shopping at Sam's Club, I was approached by a man asking if we supported green energy. I said yes and he said Sam's was offering a $70 gift card just for signing up and there would be no cost whatsoever to us because it is a benefit of being a Sam's Club member. It was also stated that this is offered through the government for supporting green energy. I fell for the scam and signed electronically on his iPad. I researched it after we left and felt so stupid. I tried to call and cancel and they were already closed. I emailed and got an auto reply. My husband called Sam's and were told it already went through electronically from me signing. I feel sick to my stomach for being so dumb. I hope we can get this cancelled soon without there being any cost involved but I am afraid of how much time and effort it will end up taking.

    While shipping I was approached by a Just Energy representative. I advised her, I already have existing service through Just Energy. She informed me the company has a Perks Program and to contact the perks department to become registered. I called the following Monday. The Perks representative said they only "deal" with customers who are already registered through the program and proceeded to transfer me to the customer service department through the company. The representative who answered, advised me she will email me the activation and to allow 7 business days. Fast forward 2 weeks, I called the perks department again to see if there was something I missed. I checked my spam, and regular email and I have NOT received the activation for the perks program. The perks department transferred me again to the CS department who transferred me to a specialty dept.?

    After 30 minutes of being transferred AGAIN BACK TO THE PERKS department I hung up the phone. My frustration lies with how difficult it is to sign up for a program, which I was told was for customers like me. I pay on time, I've been with the company for YEARS. Why is it the employees don't seem to know how to register a customer via phone or via the website? Why does it take so long to receive the activation email? Why all the back and forth transfers from one department to another? Why can't the perks department register customers themselves? I am very disappointed with this particular service. I bet the perks apply as of the day you sign up. Funny how with every effort I have been making, almost 1 month has gone by, and they had NO problem with Just Energy emailing my invoice, But emailing me the activation for their perks program? A WHOLE other STORY!

    I had just signed up for Just Energy after one of their representative came to my Front door and said It's a Flat Rate Gas providing company, other than PG&E, He did NOT say: 1. There is a Limit on amount of Gas. I will have to consume (500 therms per year), they just said Flat Rate billing irrespective of consumption. 2. Delivery charges from PG&E that are almost like the one you pay regularly, SO I ended up paying Double charges even for a small amount of Gas (I consume around 20 Therms per month in summer). 3. Then after my 1st billing cycle, having seen the bill, I had called them immediately and requested for Cancellation. They said standard reply... Wait for 1-2 more billing cycles to take off this Just Energy, So you are locked with them for No mistake of yours and somebody giving Incomplete Plan info and Non-Transparent practices.

    I am going to taking this issue with Consumer forum, and also in Neighborhood social forum (NextDoor) educating other my neighbors so that this company won't cheat others like this.

    I recently moved and had to cancel my service, which I was already unhappy with to begin with. I called before we moved to have my service cancelled, WHEN I SIGNED UP. I was told there was NO cancellation fee, which is what sold me on signing up. I called a few months into my term with Just Energy because I heard another energy supplier had lower rates, they were unable to give me what they were offering and I asked, if they offer me something lower is it free to cancel. The associate I spoke with said, "THERE IS NO CANCELLATION FEE UNDER YOUR CONTRACT."

    I have a signed copy stating that there was no cancellation fee. I keep getting calls from Just Energy trying to get a cancellation fee out of me. When I offer to fax them over the signed copy of the paper stating that there is no cancellation fee, they tell me they do not care about that. They WILL NOT be getting another penny from me. I will not pay the cancellation fee. They call me 3 times a day. I am sick of this and I will be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to sign with them.

    Scammed since 2008. And me and my husband just found out YES in 2017!!! My husband was scammed into believing that there was a shortage in gas and he was given an amazing price. He signed an agreement on 6/2/2008 and on 6/3/2008 called and cancelled the contract. You have 30 days to cancel. Well they never cancelled it and even when I called to complain in 2010 they still continued to bill us. We are in contact with a supervisor and hope that they will make this right by giving us our money back. Again verbal cancellation is ok and that was done so we should have never been charged. We want every dime back from 2008 to today!

    I had just signed up for Just Energy April 1, 2017. My bill was supposedly supposed to come down to around $32. My bill this month was around $96. I called Just Energy to inquire why my bill is so high. I understand I have to pay my Gas carrier who happens to be PG&E for delivery of the gas but the delivery charge was $56. When I asked for some explanation the customer service woman was so rude I had to cancel. Then she stated it would be one to two months before my cancellation would go through. She was just very rude all around. So much for trying to be nice to one of those solicitors at my door. A solicitor who shouldn't even be soliciting in my neighborhood.

    I wish to register my displeasure with the billing system and the bill amount I have received since taking a decision to switch to Just Energy. Before now, the highest bill I had received was $135 because it was in the winter season. Despite that I hardly stay at my one bedroom apartment because I stay often at my family house, since joining JE 2 months ago, my bills have been constant $177.19 and these displaced my budget and it's against the reason I moved after been told by the rep that their rate of calculation was lower compared to what I had.     A lady knocked at the door. She stated she was sent by my utility company to check and see if I had responded to the message on page 2 of my bill, and to ensure that your company logo was on it. I stated that if she was from an energy supply company to enroll me, I had no interest. She then reiterated that she was sent to see if the logo was on page 2 and could I go get a bill? I stated that I don't show my bills to anyone that knocks on my door. She showed me her solicitor's license to verify she was doing business for my energy provider. I stated that it was a soliciting license and in no way stated she worked for National Grid.

    She again requested that I get my bill. I said, "Ok, but I am not signing anything." She then turned and walked away stating, "If you want higher bills and your price changing every month." Therefore I am left to deduce that she was trying to sell me this product. She was not affiliated with my energy provider. I do not do business with companies are deceptive and a deceptive sales practice lends only to deceptive business practices. She was obviously lying.

What they are doing is just taking $25 month less from my budget amount, while my actual balance grows higher. If I was actually receiving a credit, that amount should be subtracted from my balance. Phoned several times to discuss and wanted to speak to a manager. Was told managers do not deal with these issues. I thought that is what management is about. Their way of thinking of a credit is a lot different than mine. Can a manager please respond.

    I was in a roommate situation and we are both moving out, the electricity was in his name and he had it transferred to his new place. Since I was staying for one more month, I had prepaid Just Energy for one month so I didn't have a power disruption. At 10 this morning my power was shut off, when I called after being on hold for 20 mins they apologized and said my power would be back on in 2 to 6 hours.

    I got home at 6pm to no power. I called them and they told me to call CenterPoint. I called CenterPoint to find out they never sent an order to have my power restored. I called them back again and got the same 2 to 6 hours. I called CenterPoint to check the status after 2 hours and they said they don't have an order and even if they got one, they won't restore my power until tomorrow after 8 am and to call them back then. Everything in my freezer and refrigerator is destroyed, no lights for the entire night even though I've already paid for it. This company is a disappointment and I will never use them again.

    I purchased a home in Killeen, closed on 12/28/16 and had set up my electric online, having spoken to someone who was supposed to get me the best plan. Yesterday, I got my bill emailed to me and it was for TWELVE DAYS and was three times what I had agreed to and had been quoted. I am the only person here and to say I used nearly 600 watts of energy in 12 days is ludicrous.     I was told several different things by the sales dept. at JE. Finally, I decided to continue with my old company. One of the main things that bothers me is that I was quoted a price on the email that was lower than the contract sent via email (days later, after it was legally too late to back out). I was also told there would be no Oncor delivery charges, which I later learned was not true. Sort of a scam really. I do appreciate being able to stay with my old company, and avoided the penalty for withdrawal from the (fraudulent) contract.

    I had a man come to my door talking about how he can save me money. Truth is they are charging me $8.99 per unit and Consumers Energy is charging only $2.87. My bill this month was over $53 and had I been purchasing my gas from Consumers I would only have paid just over $17. DO NOT SWITCH TO JUST ENERGY. They are ripping you off.     When Just Energy came out and knocked on my door, they explained the difference between my electricity source from before and how much cheaper it was with them. I also liked what I read about them so I agreed to do it. I like the way they bill. It explains how everything is done.     A third party provider referred me onto Just Energy. There was a cold snap a couple of weeks ago on a Friday morning. I had a baby. Just Energy said that they could get the electricity on by the end of the day and that's what sold me. It took some phone calls but they really did get the service turned on that day. Oncor said that they didn't even have the order yet. I followed up with Just Energy and I think it was a supervisor who made sure it happened. They called me back and everything came out well. I’m on social security income and a partial pension from the DA, and neither one of those is increasing. I guess I'll have to wait 'til next month. All I have is half bill and I don't have any other bill underneath because usually it comes in two parts but it would now be just one bill in June.     I signed up with Just Energy two weeks ago. My gas bill goes crazy in the winter time wherein I’ll have $160 or $80 gas bill if it’s very cold, so I decided to switch to Just Energy. Their sales rep was good. He said they go from $1.00 to $1.20, wherever DTE buys their gas at so I just locked in at the price. I’m now waiting to see what happens when it kicks over from DTE to them. I haven’t really gotten into my service yet. I haven’t had a bill so I don’t know the savings difference I’m going to have, but so far, I don't have any complaints.

    My parents were asking us to stay in the home and take care of the bills for the time being. We stayed with a different electric company there, but then I started getting wild electric charges like whatever they wanted to charge for depending on how much kilowatt hours used, and I was getting right over the cold eight months. In this summer, I had a $200 charge and I was livid. So I called Just Energy and was very happy with what I heard from them. So I wanted to try it.

    Their rep, Mitch, was very helpful. We asked questions and he gave me all the information if I needed to cancel before three years and how much I'd be paying for kilowatt hour. He gave me everything, including what the base charge would be for and a smart meter. I also had to laugh at my move-in fee because it was only $2.26. I haven't had a move-in fee for that for anything in 30 years. I also just received my first bill and I'm thrilled. In fact, I'll be telling my neighbor about Just Energy because she struggles every month and it would be beneficial for her.

They are wonderful and if I'm having a problem they're not going to stop until they find out how to work things out.     A gentleman came to the door and basically said, "Are you aware of this program that we have to lock in an energy rate?" And I said, "Well, no." But he was fairly persistent, so I said we could talk about it a little bit. I showed him my electric bill and he said I've got a supplier on that, and I said, "Yes. The city negotiated something." And then he says I don't have anything on my gas. That's the only one he hadn't explained - how they're basically a supplier.

    I talked to the city a little bit they didn't want to say one way or the other, whether they supported that decision to switch or not. But again, they had chosen a supplier for electric and I thought, "Well, this might be an opportunity to try to lock in supposedly a rate for gas." And so I said, "Okay, that might be good." I've talked to some other people in Paxton and they haven't had any big concerns with Nicor since they are the ones that have the system, so they just go with the rate that they supply. So, I said I was willing to give it a shot if there is a potential savings.

    However, I was a little concerned about what they said, that I could sign up for it, but there's no guarantee that I'm going to have a lower rate. That's my only trepidation. If they said they can guarantee that, then that's fine. At the time, it sounded worthwhile. So in the process of doing this, I have to call, somebody calls, or I call their home office to say that I agree. I've yet to really experience much of anything other than getting my first bill, and it seemed like it was just slightly lower than what my previous one was, but I haven't really started using my heat much yet. It'll be interesting to see how I do over the winter months.

    There's absolutely no difference in the service because Nicor still manages the service. It's just that Just Energy is on more the supply side. I've noticed that while there is some definite benefit to having that lower with electric, maybe this is a good thing to try. If it saves me money in the long run, why shouldn't I do that? It can't hurt. Just Energy sent me an invite to their website, and I had to sign up for that. They're going to provide two LED lights as a courtesy, and over time, I build up points which I can redeem for various things.

    However, there's no guarantee that they can save me money. As a company, if they can get the same kind of guarantee that the electric supplier did for the City of Paxton, then there's definitely even more benefits. That's the only thing I had a little concern about. But the overall experience was reasonable, and I thought it was a good idea.

    I've only had Just Energy for two weeks and so far, everything is going well. (It's still on so that’s always a good sign!) I've had my electricity turned off inadvertently once when I was in a new place because I forgot to pay and I can imagine the same thing happening now with Just Energy. They have invited me to get online so I could pay my bills more easily but I'm hoping that I get text messages from them reminding me to pay my bill or allow me to set up an automatic payment.
