I went to PowertoChoose.com and thought that Just Energy's rates were good. I probably got five houses on there. I usually do a one-year contract and then some of them I do month-to-month, which I like. Everything with them has been very easy. They actually call me before my contract goes out, which is great. I have multiple accounts, so when I'm signing up, customer service asks me for my name. I usually give that and my information in the home I live in ‘cause all my accounts are under that one. But when I add a new account, the system is not adding it to my own line. I have to go in, search for the account number, then put it into my log in. The online system doesn’t do that automatically.
I'm in the energy business. I used to work with CenterPoint at the time HL&P, which is Reliant now. Some people don’t know how much they really use. I used 3,000 kilowatts and I know that I’m not gonna buy a service that’s 3,000 kilowatts if I know I'm not gonna use all that because I'm probably gonna be charged wrongly. What I used to do to keep my light bill lower is I watch my kilowatt usage. If I only used like 1500 for that month and I knew it, I just turn every light on in the house till I got the 2,000.

I was with Ambit and I didn’t like Ambit Energy’s structure of the company. It seems more of multi-level-marketing-type situation and I’m just not a huge fan of those. Switching to Just Energy was very easy. One of the sales guys happened to catch me at a good time and we talked and I ended up making the switch right there with them. One concern I had was I tried to look online to make sure that I was looking at the best option available. But some of the links on their website did not link through or they were non-accessible.

My daughter has Just Energy and she said she got less than 100 a month and we thought it was pretty good. But when my husband did the application online for the first time, they cancelled it because they said we needed a permission. Since this was out of town, we didn’t need permission from anybody to do all this through the electric. This is not a business. It’s just house residence. They didn’t even tell us that they cancelled. They gave us a day that they were coming in and connect everything, and then they didn’t show. When I called back, that was when we found out that they cancelled it. Since we've had them, everything has been good regarding the electricity. But we just got our first bill and we don’t know how come it came that much for only 15 days. The bill is from April 13 through April 30th and it is $181. We don’t even have the AC on by those days. We just got our AC on May 2nd.

A buddy of mine talked about Just Energy and recommended it. The signup process was a bit odd. I didn’t get any kind of email at first and I didn’t know that the sign up actually went through. But I don't know if that was my carrier. I just got my first bill and it was about 60 bucks cheaper compared to my previous provider.

Just Energy had the best kilowatt rate and I was told that they were the best company to go with. But their website is horrible and I still can't create my online account. They told me that I had to go in there and change a pop-up blocker. I disabled my pop-up blocker and tried it on my computer and my girlfriend's computer. We also tried it on our phones and it wouldn't let me create my account to set up an online payment. They need to change their website.

I researched and called around different places. Just Energy, at the time, had the best prices. I switched to them when my other electric company charged my bill for $150 to $600 in one month. I've been with them for close to three years now and I like that they stay pretty much the same. They’re not fluctuating my bill from month to month. I don’t feel like they’re trying to screw me over. For the most part, my bill changes between summer and winter. But I’ve not paid more than 250 a month. My bill is never over the top. I’m happy paying what I’m paying.

They offered me a gift card too that I haven’t gotten yet. When we started, we had very low bills, but every week that goes by, it’s going up a little bit. But so far, it’s good. The customer service helps out. They're very easy to get a hold of.

I went on a website to compare energy websites and it got me Just Energy. That my lease term was a lot longer appealed to me. I didn’t want to go for a 12-month plan and Just Energy's was a 15-month lease. I work from home and it seemed to work out for the price point. Signing up was really easy. I really liked it. The website was very straightforward. I haven’t started my service yet so I don’t know how the payment is going to be online but I think it will be pretty easy.

I had Amigo Energy before and I don’t think they understood English. I had two meters at the same address and they had two different addresses spelled differently both ways. During this thing we’re going through with the virus, I’ve been told that they’re not supposed to turn your electricity off and they’re supposed to work with you. But when I went home that night, the electricity was out and it was only out at my house. I could not get anybody to answer the phone. No one worked. I like Just Energy. A couple people had come to my house and asked me if I wanted to switch light companies, and the lower kilowatts got me interested. I like Just Energy better than what I was with. My bill is lower because I was paying anywhere from $200 to $300 a month and now, it is $59. The customer service has been good as well. Sometimes, I would try to call them and their phone is disconnected or something like that. But I would call them back and they would answer all of my questions that I needed to be answered. The only problem I got is that since I’m a new customer, I don’t know how to go on to pay my bill and I’ve been looking. With the other light companies, they send you a light bill in the mail. I have not got one yet. My bill comes on my phone but I don’t know how to pay it on my phone. That aside, the website is good.

I receive multiple phone calls daily from this company. I got phone calls right after I paid my bill, I get calls when my bill is due...I have received probably 50 calls over the past month. They usually hang up before you can answer, and have left a message only twice (both vague and barely audible). I finally called and asked to be removed from their call list. They assured me this would happen. Not surprisingly, the next business day I got two calls. I spoke to one representative who confided to me that she has no idea why they call people. Another rep said the company provides gas to companies like SoCal Gas, but does not deal with customers...so WHY DO THEY ALWAYS CALL? They really seem to have no function whatsoever, and yet they manage to be terrible at it.

Sorry but extremely disappointed in their customer service. After many calls today, I finally got through. Their system was literally dropping me with no voice mail or messages. When I got through, their Rep was very friendly and helpful, and gave me some interesting information. NO REQUEST to process my credit balance was ever submitted by JUST ENERGY, after two months. How long would they have left that balance outstanding if I didn’t call? Even though they are quite eager to receive customer funds to pay for bills, apparently they are incapable of processing a refund/credit balance. Instead, JUST ENERGY prefers to take an excessive amount of time (6-8 WEEKS? Seriously?) to create a paper cheque and mail it out.
They are not considering the fact that are paying for the paper cheque forms, and for postage? And this is supposed to be more effective HOW? And the reason for the delay must either be due to poor or inefficient process policies or for underhanded marketing. Either way, it does not look good to the quality of the management of JUST ENERGY. Obviously their shareholders come first before their customers. A good marketing person will tell you that if you upset ONE customer, they tell two others, and they tell two others, and so on. I would not recommend Just Energy as a service provider.

Switching to JustEnergy was the biggest mistake I had done in my life. I was with another provider earlier and JustEnergy paid $120 ETF to the previous provider. I was with JustEnergy for 4 months and saw that the plan is not working for me. I tried calling JustEnergy a couple of times and could never connect. I tried the Chat option and the bot always said that there is no agent available to chat with me. I had a night free plan and I was still paying close to $110 per month. I never ever paid more than $85 with my previous provider. I stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. So I moved to Reliant after 4 months.
JustEnergy sent me a bill of $402 wherein they added the $120 ETF fee that they paid to the earlier provider!! This is nothing but cheating. Why would you charge me back the cancellation fee you had paid to the earlier provider??? I did stay with them for 4 months!! Will never ever go with these cheaters again. I am going to let all my friends/relatives/colleagues know my bad experience with JustEnergy and to never go with Them.!! Or cancel it if they are already with these cheaters!

The apartment complex that we rented for my son gave us a flyer of a central number to call. The rep looked up different plans and one plan looked good on paper. The price goes up on weekends though. There were different parameters and she said that we need to go with Just Energy since he's gonna not be home during the day and more in the evenings. The rep seemed very knowledgeable but the plans were a little confusing. This is for my son going to grad school in Texas and we're in Louisiana. Here, when you buy a house, you don't have an option. It's just who services this neighborhood. Over there, there must have been 10 different options of power companies. So, there's no way to simplify depending on your needs, but it was very different than what we were used to here. It was completely overwhelming that time and that was when I called in to that number.
I’m still having trouble and I had to call in for a question. The rep said there was a glitch in her system so I haven't been able to set up the app. It’s not working and I can't form an account online to pay my bill online. But Just Energy was gonna be lower and they would lock it in. That way, we can expect how much we're gonna pay instead of having to guess or getting a big surprise in the mail each month.

I've called Just Energy a couple of times to try to terminate my service. The first time, I hung up after being on hold for over an hour. The second time I hung up after waiting 40+ minutes. I submitted an online request and no one has responded. How do I get through to a live person? It appears that you keep customers by preventing them from terminating services. I'm a very unhappy customer.

I heard about Just Energy online. I was searching for some energy companies in my area and a lady whom I know told me about them as well. The representative that I spoke with explained everything to me. She explained some very insightful information about how energy rates work and how some fees are charged. it was a long conversation, but she was very thorough with me. The rate is about 9 or 10 point something cents per kilowatt-hour. She also explained to me that Anchor is the one that is servicing it, even though Just Energy is the company.

The Just Energy rep I spoke with was great and very knowledgeable. I got a good deal at the time I switched to them. The only thing is I was not working anymore, so I was not gonna be able to pay the bill. So, my husband changed the contract under his name, and then, the electricity was disconnected. We went the whole day without electricity. I was scared because they said it could take until like 24 hours for us to get electricity back. But then, I was making different calls.
I talked to a supervisor and he was the one that helped me get the energy reconnected again under my name. And then, they switched it under my husband's name. Then, they sent me an email where I could send the pictures of my food going bad and the different receipts of the grocery shopping because I had went shopping a day before, and then, the day of, for food because of what was going on. So, I packed my fridge. I have two, and the food went bad. We were without electricity since the morning to like 4:00 PM. Just Energy gave me an email, but that email was rejected. I wasn’t able to send my stuff. And then, I had to go out of town, so I just didn't do it.

Company showed me a falsified electric bill in Sam's Club for $30. Running little to no electricity during the day, my bill was higher than it had ever been. Lied to me and told me it was a 12 month contract. Got my happy anniversary email and immediately found a new provider. When I found a new provider, they hit me with a $175 fee for "not calling them before switching" and revoked my $150 credit for changing companies making my last bill astronomical. I called customer service and was told the charges would be removed and an adjusted bill would be sent out. I never received an adjusted bill. So, I call to follow-up and they tell me they will not adjust my bill and the charges are valid. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Hello Danielle. We're sorry to hear of you negative experience with Just Energy. Just Energy does not control customer's usage, but bills them per the terms of the agreement signed. I had already signed up with Just Energy and I renewed last month, but I’ve had it for over two years before that. I tried to change, but they were gonna charge me $400. They tried to work with me. They offered me another deal, another contract for another year, and I took it for just one year. I was told that there was gonna be free nights and that it was gonna be no more than 14 cents a kilowatt. I'm paying 17 cents a kilowatt, but they said the more we use, the more we save. But now, when I looked at it, sometimes they’re 7, sometimes they’re 14. But the actual rate is 20 cents a kilowatt. So, I didn't get to save. I still use the energy, but it was not taken into consideration the minute that I had free. So, it was a misleading information. Their customer service was nice. They tried to make me believe that I'm really saving some cents, but I'm not. They’re a bunch of liars and I’m not gonna renew my contract with them after this.

My best friend had Just Energy and then I chose them over other providers because there was no deposit. The only thing I don’t like about them is my bill seemed to be a lot higher than those other providers. But it was only when I moved to Galveston that the fees went up. We moved to Galveston a year ago, but we had it too in Texas City, which is only 20 miles away, and it was cheaper there than it was here. Also, their customer service suck. If I call them, they're rude and awful. A lot of them don’t speak English, so that’s the hardest part. But luckily, I don’t call them very often. The overall reliability of the service is fine though and I've already referred my mom to them.

So, I never lost electricity with TXU, but Just Energy didn’t cancel me either. And then, TXU tried to cancel me. I got a call from TXU telling me that someone was trying to cancel my insurance. I told them I don’t wanna cancel, and that I had changed my mind and I'm staying with TXU. But Just Energy went on ahead and tried to pursue me being canceled with TXU. It was a big mess.
And then, I checked my email this morning and found a final bill from Just Energy for $20-something. I have two houses and I assume I’ll get another one for the other house too, but I'm not gonna pay it because they never switched my electricity and I canceled immediately when the office opened. It was a good service. The rep said five years, but when we transferred our service from Texas City to Alvin, they wouldn’t transfer it. She said because our power in Texas City was bought through Texas New Mexico Power Company, and the Alvin has to go through CenterPoint. We don’t have that set rate anymore, so naturally, our bill is gonna go up. We've only been at the new address for two weeks, so we've not seen a bill yet. That made me send the message through the little chat thing. And while I was doing that, their representative told me that I wasn't in the contract and that was why my bill was so much. No one ever said this. I've been asking them all the same question for months now, and no one said anything about me not being in a contract. I had been putting a lot of money out there when I could have been in the contract and saving that money. That part did it for me and that was what made me switch over to Just Energy.

Years later I realized how absurd this was to that I had actually paid 10x the cost of just buying one from a store. I called and cancelled it, then went and bought a newer one. Months later, I noticed on my bill a "Drinking Water System" charge from Just Energy for the same amount I had cancelled 5 months ago! It seems the company account was switched over to this department, whether you have a thermostat or water system from JE.
As typical customer service protocol, you have to jump through hoops to get anything done. Their response is there was no cancellation and I cannot be reimbursed. You believe the customer service rep will do their job and cancel your account only to realize nothing was done 5 months ago. It's frustrating to say the least. My mistake was renting and not checking my bill every month to make sure the charges were removed. Make sure you get an email confirmation for any changes you request. Lesson learned!

In our neighborhood, we have smart meters, which compel energy companies to go door-to-door to solicit people, because they claim that we’re being overcharged because we have a smart meter. When the person from Just Energy came, I thought he was with the same company coming up for a follow-up. I didn’t realize that they were totally different companies. When he explained that we were being overcharged, I told him that someone already went through this with me. He said, “No. They couldn’t have because I’m with Just Energy.” That's when I realized he was from a different company. He asked me if I wanted to see if I would qualify for no deposit, and I did.
I didn’t realize at the time that the stuff that he was having me look at and then eventually sign was actually putting me into a contract. And then he called somebody, he said, “Just answer these questions. Just say yes when he says yes.” I realized the guy was saying, “Do you realize that you’re entering into a contract with Just Energy? Do you realize that this will happen if you void the contract and all that stuff?” I kept saying yes because I didn’t wanna say this to the guy I was on the phone with and throw him off guard.
But when I hung up with him, I looked at the guy and I told him that I was not ready to do this. I told him that I needed to talk to my fiancé. We already have an energy company and I wasn’t trying to start a contract. He told me that if I canceled within three days, then I would be fine. I got an email two days later from TXU saying that I had canceled with them and then I got a welcome email from Just Energy. When I called TXU, they handled it for me on their end. They told me that it happens all the time, and then Just Energy called me to go over it with me. The rep said that he was sorry because when I told him that I wasn’t ready, he should’ve nulled the contract right then. He shouldn’t have sent it through because I expressed to him that I was not ready for that. Both companies worked hard to fix it and make it right. They went around, within two days, and they had cancelled my contract.

Our business used Just Energy for two gas services and two electricity services. We also signed up for our home service previously. In cases, business and residential services I have the same complaint. Numerous times Just Energy had/has inaccurate information on file, and an unauthorized change of the names on the account was made by Just Energy. The occasions seemed to occur each time (which was not often) that I had a need to call regarding our service. On both the residential and business services (different anniversary dates) we were sent letters advising the exact date the contract for our service(s) would end and what would happen if they did not hear from us. Again, in both cases I called to advise that I had chosen to go with an alternate provider due to the inaccurate and unauthorized changes on our account.
Incidentally, I was the person who contacted Just Energy in the first place to agree and accept all of the contracts. Further, it was my email address the agreements were sent to, and my emails address that Just Energy had on file. I added my husband as an authorized person on the accounts. Both times I was told my husband had to call to make the change, and both times when he called they would not allow him to make changes as they said they couldn't verify him. He had a bill and provided account numbers, site numbers, mailing and service addresses yet as he could not provide the "email address on file" or the "telephone number on file". They told him he could not make any changes. On both the residential and business accounts we were told that the contract did not expire on the date or as per the letter indicated that we received from them. I cannot recall the date of the residential fiasco but I believe it was January 2019.
We finally got it sorted and switched to another provider. The business fiasco occurred within the last two days; I called yesterday (January 27/2020 approximately 10am) to advise our services would be switching to an alternate provider effective March 1 2020, as per the letters we received from Just Energy dated December 2019. After a lengthy conversation regarding why we were switching, the lady apologized for the issues we have/had experienced. She then said she could not allow me to make changes. I advised they couldn't keep our services against our wishes. I said I already contacted another provider to take it over and "this was just a courtesy call". The rep said she would “note the account” but she could not do anything further, my husband would have to cancel, not me.
Today January 28, 2020 my husband called and he was refused as well, being he couldn't answer ALL of the security questions. They were making mistakes and even though I gave him the info they had on file (based on my call yesterday), they still refused to help him. He finally said, "I don't care what your information says, we are switching to someone else effective March 1, 2020 as per your letter sent to us." He then hung up, so I have no idea if Just Energy will release our services as requested or if they will continue to argue and fight over inaccurate information they have on file. I am giving this review one star however, the actual product we received would rate a four star. It is strictly due to the continued terrible accuracy of information in the customer service department that has caused me to write this review.

A word of caution to those who are curious about Just Energy, don't sign up with them and look for another supplier. In April of last year Just Energy had sent "Energy Advisors" out to my neighbor to advocate signing up with them. The advisor that came to my door made promises that I would never be charged at a higher rate than 70 cents per term and that my bill would never be higher than 70 dollars regardless of usage. Should have guessed that was way too good to be true but I signed up with them and he even let me take a picture of his badge #**. Well about 6 months goes by and I didn't really see anything out of the ordinary with my bill (or so I thought) and had pretty much forgotten about signing up with them. Until I got last months bill. I compared it to the bill from the year prior and despite using only one term more, my bill was about 30 dollars higher.
When I called and told them that there must be some mistake, they insisted that there was no mistake and that they had no idea why that advisor promised what he did, and essentially refused to take responsibility for their employee's actions. I then referenced every bill I had received through them with the year/month prior (for example, October 2018 bill vs October 2019 bill) and despite their empty promises EVERY single bill with them was higher than the year prior. When I brought this to their attention, they evaded responsibility again and ultimately shifted it to "I'm not sure why that advisor told you that". I cancelled my account with them almost immediately after and they told me the cancellation could take up to two bill cycles. Well my most current bill came today and is 47 dollars HIGHER than last year's bill despite, once again, using only a couple more terms more this year.
The takeaway? I was scammed, don't get scammed like me. I'm always trying to minimize my monthly expenses and now over the course of about 9 months I've found that in total I've probably paid an extra 200 dollars at least because of switching over. An oversight on my part for not catching it sooner? Yes. But also malicious lies on their part as well. Zero stars if I could.

#JustEnergy = Fraud. Not only did i cancel services within 2 hours but it has taken over 10 phone calls and 4 months later to finally get a check from your company which. Once i received the check i didn't cash it rather than deposit because i didn't trust the process and i work for a bank. Within this not only have i been told i need to deposit not cash the check i was told by 2 check cashing companies that the check is invalid. Your company refuses to fix this issue in a timely manner. Due to the $343 your company has tact on to a bill that should not have been received we have to pay that out of pocket for costs that we did not accrue due to cancelling within 2 hours!
I've been told on a number of calls to just open an account and deposit this same invalid check. (Which is written on #chasebank) No one can explain why the check would not be valid for check cashing but only deposit especially when no where on the check invoice does it indicate such information. In closing this issue ongoing since oct 31. 2019 is still not resolved. When speaking with the agents they seemed to not have understood they are violating safe banking process by not allowing an individual to cash a check by depositing said item if in fact it does return from not being valid not only will this cost more money but again none of this should happen if services were cancelled properly on both accounts that was verified on the 1st call back in September which was again only 2 hours after signing up.

She helped me how to apply and assign, but she kinda didn’t explain some stuff. She told me I was gonna get $150 credit for me to transfer to my other company, but she didn’t tell me how or what or when I was gonna get that money. So I had to call back to figure that out. First off, I am 50 years old and this is the FIRST review I have ever left in my life. I am not doing this out of anger, but because of principle. I have multiple rental properties and utilize third party suppliers for electric and gas constantly. I signed a two year contract with Just Energy on one of my properties after reviewing their published electric rates on the apples to apples website. The price was great and there were no problems for the two year agreement. My complaint is what happened next.
After my contract term was up, I was renewed automatically. I have no reason to complain about this. It was in the contract. But, the renewal rate was almost double the two year term rate per kWh. I went to the apples to apples website to see what Just Energy's current available rates were and it was almost half, just like my previous contractual rate. I called to see why I was renewed at a ridiculous rate per kWh and the representative told me that their system does it automatically. REALLY? Your system AUTOMATICALLY renews customers for almost double what the available published rate your company offers/charges? Your system automatically ensures that you lose a customer? Why would a company charge an exorbitant amount when it posts a substantially lower amount?
Of course the representative offered me a lower rate during my call. I was staring at their available published rate on my screen while on the phone. If they had AUTOMATICALLY switched or renewed me at that rate, or if they would have adjusted my previous bill I would not have wasted my time typing this review. That is my complaint. That is extremely shady business practice.
This particular property had a $627.24 electric bill when I realized the new rate change. After I cancelled, the next months electric bill was $736.13. All of the probable savings from the previous two years utilizing Just Energy as my supplier, just got countered with what they said they could not control. But, obviously it was within their control. If you choose to go with Just Energy, my only word of caution is to check other third party suppliers / apples to apples comparison site prior to the term being up and make sure that you are not automatically renewed. I am confident that you will not like the automatic renewal rate and it looks like it takes at least two billing cycles to change to another supplier.

Was past due on my bill (26 days) and called to resolve billing and ask for payment arrangement. I tried calling numerous times and the phone system would randomly hang up on me. Had to use online chat. The first advisor stated they would only accept a payment no less than 50% because of a disconnect notice and I did so even though it was very difficult. I then asked to set up to bring my account current at my next pay date and they would only allow me until 3 days before my payday "because that's all the system will allow". IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN 30 DAYS PAST DUE!!!!!! Only 26.
I spoke to numerous people who could not budge because the "system/computer" would not allow them to make changes. Apparently we are not human anymore and are not allowed to make decisions. Living in the rural area we live in does not allow us to have many options for our electric and we chose Just Energy because of their "good reputation". It is very sad that we cannot get any good help anymore from real people. At this point my phone service is off until payday (because I had to use the money for the 50% payment) and the company can't even call me. Because of this our electric will be turned off tomorrow and won't be able to turn on until payday (IN 3 DAYS!!!!!) AND I'M SURE THE COMPUTER WILL ADD A RECONNECT FEE TOO!!!

The rep should have still went right into telling me that I'm changing energy supplier. But maybe it was just me being a senior citizen and not really understanding that he was selling me something to change my energy supplier, until the last minute. After I’d given him all my information, I told him I would see how it goes for a month. And if I don’t like it, then I’ll cancel. He also didn’t say that I was gonna get renewable energy. Previously, I was with Stream as my energy provider and they were really good. However, their rates were high. My daughter is a customer of Just Energy and she told me about them. I talked to Just Energy and their reps were professional. They answered what I wanted to know and were very helpful.

Just Energy is using alternative fuel. If it doesn’t cost me any more and it’s renewable energy, and if it’s gonna help the environment, that’s fine with me. I saw them at Sam’s Club and I signed up with them. Their reps have been very informative.

I've been with Just Energy for a year now, and my bills kept increasing. I talked to them. After about two months it reduced, it’s coming back up again.

We appreciate your feedback and are pleased that we had the opportunity of speaking to you regarding your plan. As always, please feel free to reach out should you have any additional questions.

I looked on a website for energy providers then I went with Just Energy because of the price. I’ve talked to the representatives to set it up and the setting up was easy. So far, I haven’t had any outages. I would recommend Just.

Just Energy had a booth at Sam’s Club. Their salespeople approached me and asked me if I was interested. They said that my bills are not gonna be impacted and that the monthly charges would continue to be as they are today. There would not be any increase except that the source of the energy is going to be green energy or renewable energy. They were gonna make sure that renewable energy is the one that’s going to be sourced through my same provider, ComEd. I thought if those two were true, I didn’t mind trying.
I signed up with Just Energy a couple of weeks ago. I just did the electric and not the gas. The signup process was easy. But the person was using her personal phone, which I did not feel comfortable with because I had to enter the last four digits of my Social Security number. She had an iPad and that iPad would not open up or reveal one of the account information, so she opened the same app on her personal phone and she asked me to use it. I was a little hesitant. I almost walked away. She asked me to enter the same information on her phone because she had the same signup app. It was to capture the ComEd account number. I wish that they didn’t have to do that because it’s a personal phone. I don’t know what information it is retaining or storing. In this day and age with all the personal information being sold, everyone’s being so cautious about protecting their personal information.
Another thing with Just Energy was there was an assurance that since it was through Sam’s Club, I could cancel any time if I saw anything that was different from what they promised me. That was comforting know. But I did some review over the Google trying to see what the customer reviews were. I saw very poor ratings and I was very skeptical. I was almost at the point where I wanted to call them back and cancel within the 10 days. But I thought I could gamble and see how it is going to turn out.
I’m going to monitor and compare my bills against my monthly electric charges and see if there are any variations. If it is just the sourcing that’s the only change and if there are no changes to my monthly cost, it wouldn’t be an issue. But if it turns out that what they said was not true and if there are any fluctuations for any reason, especially on the upside, then I’m keeping my options to cancel Just Energy and go back to ComEd from where they were sourcing earlier. As much as I want my energy to be sourced from renewable sources, if there were any false promises or sales pitch, then I will not hesitate to cancel it.
