Was past due on my bill (26 days) and called to resolve billing and ask for payment arrangement. I tried calling numerous times and the phone system would randomly hang up on me. Had to use online chat. The first advisor stated they would only accept a payment no less than 50% because of a disconnect notice and I did so even though it was very difficult. I then asked to set up to bring my account current at my next pay date and they would only allow me until 3 days before my payday "because that's all the system will allow". IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN 30 DAYS PAST DUE!!!!!! Only 26.
I spoke to numerous people who could not budge because the "system/computer" would not allow them to make changes. Apparently we are not human anymore and are not allowed to make decisions. Living in the rural area we live in does not allow us to have many options for our electric and we chose Just Energy because of their "good reputation". It is very sad that we cannot get any good help anymore from real people. At this point my phone service is off until payday (because I had to use the money for the 50% payment) and the company can't even call me. Because of this our electric will be turned off tomorrow and won't be able to turn on until payday (IN 3 DAYS!!!!!) AND I'M SURE THE COMPUTER WILL ADD A RECONNECT FEE TOO!!!

At Just Energy, we strive and take pride in our Customer Service and deeply regret the expectation was not meet when you contacted us for assistance with your account. We have attempted to reach out to you to further follow-up and have your concerns rapidly address. We have sent you written communication to reach out at your convenience. I only switched to Just Energy in the past two or three weeks. I thought it was a good deal. I switched from somebody else and the phone number I called, the guy told me Just Energy was the best thing. I asked him some questions and he said it was the better deal so that’s what I went with. They said 10 cents or something like that per kilowatt and they said that that was the best, but it didn’t sound like the best to me. I haven’t had anything bad happen, but I haven’t been blown out the water.

I moved to Texas and when I searched for the top five energy providers, Just Energy was right up there. I also saw what they charged per kilowatt and it made sense to go with them. Signing up was fairly easy. I called and they asked me what day I needed services to start. They explained to me how things were gonna work out and it was a very easy process. Everything went smoothly and quickly with Just Energy. Things are working fine and there are no power outages.

Just Energy claims they will save you money with a fixed rate. Except the fixed rate is twice that of the market rate. I watched my bill carefully for nearly a year. My provider's rate never exceeded $0.50/therm for the past 2 years and the average is $0.35. Just Energy is "saving me money" with a fixed rate of $0.70. Wait... that's twice the price. Fine... I'll cancel. I should have brought a sleeping bag.
It's very deceptive and probably illegal. At best it's a bait and switch.

Do NOT switch your energy provider over to Just Energy. When shopping in Sam's Club I was approached by two nice representatives who promised a lower rate and energy bill. They said that Just Energy would be able to lower my rate per kWh which would then lower my bill. In addition, I would receive a $45 gift card to Sam's Club. However, during the first billing cycle with Just Energy my bill was almost $100 more and my kWh rate almost doubled!! My rate went from 4.8 cents per kWh with my previous provider to 8.1 cents per kWh with Just Energy!!! And I never received my gift card that was promised by the representatives. When calling Just Energy regarding the huge spike in my bill and the increase in my kWh expenses, they were not helpful and I immediately cancelled my account. Do NOT let Just Energy fool you into thinking that they will lower your rates no matter how nice the representatives are.

A door to door representative came to our home offering the services of Just Energy solutions. The representative explained to us that instead be charged a pay per use from our current gas supplier they would offer us our gas service at a flat fee of $35.99 per month. After repeated bills from our existing gas service charging us for usage I attempted to call just energy solutions. I was hung up on 15 times in my attempt to get somebody on the phone. Next, I went to their website and contacted them thru Facebook messenger. I took 45 minutes from this contact initiation to get an agent to call me. She told me that the company has no control over how PG&E charges me but she can promise that they will always charge the flat fee of $35.99. ON TOP OF WHAT I WAS ALREADY PAYING. So to be clear this did NOT save me money but just charged and extra $35.99 a month on my bill. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!

Signing up with Just Energy was easy and the gentleman at the Sam's store was very helpful. I didn't understand the kilowatts but he explained how the kilowatts worked at that time. My daughter was with me and so we were asking a lot of questions but he answered them. And because of the way he explained, it looked like I was gonna be saving more money, so we went with them.
I've had Just Energy for 2 years and I've renewed it. I had to call the customer service to see if it was okay if I could do the contract with the guy at Sam's. They were polite and they told me that I could either do it there with them or call the customer service, however I wanted to do it. I'm gonna be paying a little bit more, but there's a little bit more kilowatts with the contract that I got now. And in the long run, I'm getting more nights. I still don't know how it works, but it seemed like I was gonna be saving more money. So, it worked out great.

I was going through Pennsylvania Power Switch and I was searching for rates when I found Just Energy. An electricity provider is essentially doing generation. So, unless they go out of business, they're all the same to me. I have had some difficult times too. Occasionally, we’ll have a provider go out of business or they’ll transfer it to another company and the rates change. But with Just, the stability is appreciated. I enjoy the consistency of their service offering.

I ran into a Just Energy representative in the Save A Lot grocery store. It was right on time for me and I loved the information that was handed out. I was on a prepaid at the time, and I wasn’t happy with it. Just Energy is similar to what I thought I was gonna get through that prepaid and the rep explained to me how much more better I would be. And then today, I had transferred my service over to a different location, and I got a better quote or a better deal, and I like that. Also, I'm on a fixed rate for 36 months. I already got my first bill and it is average, although it was a little too soon being that it hasn’t even been a month yet. But I had to pay because I was moving. Still, I love the plans that they have, the free nights, and the low rates. I also like how everybody is calling and checking on me, and making me feel welcome.

One of Just Energy's representatives was walking door-to-door offering their service. She was good and professional. She was friendly and she knew what she was doing. But she did something that I didn’t like that caused problems. She asked me for my information and my bills. She was having trouble with her phone and she was trying to contact somebody. She spoke nothing but Spanish and I am Hispanic but more Tex-mix. The language was not the same. We were kinda having a language barrier issue. I was telling her to just check the wattages to see which one was lower. She couldn’t what I wanted which was do price comparison because she was having trouble with her phone.
She said that she would text me. She already had all my information. I told her, “Okay. But I don’t want to switch over.” I just wanted her to compare the prices then I would think about it. I told her that the best that I could and she seemed to have understood. But when I got home maybe a week or a couple of days later, I received an email that we were being switched over. But I just wanted to compare prices. I had to go back and just tell Just Energy that that was not what I wanted. It was a big mess up.
I was dissatisfied. I decided to stay with the company that we have now. I explained to the Just Energy rep I had just renewed my contract with the company I have now. I told her we're happy with them. I know the reps have a quota and I said, “I don’t mind doing this just so you can have something to fill.” She said, “Okay.” But I didn’t expect her to switch us over. I was upset because I didn’t give her permission to do that.

I found a web page that shows customers finding good deals in electricity and Just Energy was suggested as an option. We switched to them and when we bought a second home, we kept them for their service and price. With my old provider, the bill went up non-linearly when it was high, like in the summer. Just Energy has a fixed linear price and the bill doesn't jump from segment A to B. I also like the way the webpage works and the phone app. And those things are important. At first, I didn’t know I was signing up to change my energy supplier. It wasn’t until I have given the rep all my information that he said that I was. I was listening to everything that he said, and I asked him why he didn’t tell me that from the beginning? The first thing that they start you off with is a gift card for $70, and it was the holiday time and they were saying, “Oh, get money back.” He asked for my ConEd information, and I gave him that. He also wanted to know how I paid my bill, and I told him I paid it by phone.
The rep should have still went right into telling me that I'm changing energy supplier. But maybe it was just me being a senior citizen and not really understanding that he was selling me something to change my energy supplier, until the last minute. After I’d given him all my information, I told him I would see how it goes for a month. And if I don’t like it, then I’ll cancel. He also didn’t say that I was gonna get renewable energy. He mostly talked about I was gonna get a Visa card to use however I wanted to.

Just Energy had a booth at Sam’s Club. Their salespeople approached me and asked me if I was interested. They said that my bills are not gonna be impacted and that the monthly charges would continue to be as they are today. There would not be any increase except that the source of the energy is going to be green energy or renewable energy. They were gonna make sure that renewable energy is the one that’s going to be sourced through my same provider, ComEd. I thought if those two were true, I didn’t mind trying.
I signed up with Just Energy a couple of weeks ago. I just did the electric and not the gas. The signup process was easy. But the person was using her personal phone, which I did not feel comfortable with because I had to enter the last four digits of my Social Security number. She had an iPad and that iPad would not open up or reveal one of the account information, so she opened the same app on her personal phone and she asked me to use it. I was a little hesitant. I almost walked away. She asked me to enter the same information on her phone because she had the same signup app. It was to capture the ComEd account number. I wish that they didn’t have to do that because it’s a personal phone. I don’t know what information it is retaining or storing. In this day and age with all the personal information being sold, everyone’s being so cautious about protecting their personal information.
Another thing with Just Energy was there was an assurance that since it was through Sam’s Club, I could cancel any time if I saw anything that was different from what they promised me. That was comforting know. But I did some review over the Google trying to see what the customer reviews were. I saw very poor ratings and I was very skeptical. I was almost at the point where I wanted to call them back and cancel within the 10 days. But I thought I could gamble and see how it is going to turn out.
I’m going to monitor and compare my bills against my monthly electric charges and see if there are any variations. If it is just the sourcing that’s the only change and if there are no changes to my monthly cost, it wouldn’t be an issue. But if it turns out that what they said was not true and if there are any fluctuations for any reason, especially on the upside, then I’m keeping my options to cancel Just Energy and go back to ComEd from where they were sourcing earlier. As much as I want my energy to be sourced from renewable sources, if there were any false promises or sales pitch, then I will not hesitate to cancel it.

Charles, the representative from Just Energy, walked up to me when I was outside washing my car and started talking to me about my energy. I was disappointed in my Stream Energy. I've been with them for about nine years and my rate always went down, but last year it went up. When the guy explained to me about Just Energy at a 9% versus my 12, free weekends and stuff like that, it was a win-win for me to sign up with them. He said I would get $250 for the disconnection notice. So, I called Stream to make sure how much my disconnection notice was and it said 250. Then, I got a notice from Just Energy telling me that they would only pay 150 for the disconnection notice, which was not what I was told.
My initial experience with the boy went well but then when I started with the logging on and talking about my credit, Just Energy disappointed me because the representatives are walking the street, telling people 250, and then when you get on the phone and do everything online, it says only 150. I paid Stream off the 250 and I haven't received a bill from Just Energy because of the credit. They need to train their representatives that are beating the streets for them and quit telling innocent people like me that it's 250 for disconnection notice. There was no reason why I would leave somewhere for a 3%. Then, I'm not even getting free nights and weekends. Just Energy claims not to have a cancelation fee. However, if you cancel your service online - ya know, the same way you see your statement, pay your bills, and contact customer service - rather than calling to cancel, they charge you an irreversible $175 cancelation fee. When you go to cancel online, there is nothing that comes up as a reminder that if you click the cancelation button, you'll be charged $175. It is 100% unreasonable for this company to expect their customers to have every word of their contract memorized and therefore remember to call to cancel especially for up to 3 years.
I called to discuss it with them which was a wasted hour of my life only to be told that yet another person would call me back in 24 - 48 hours to give me the same answer. Bottom line is they know they are going to get their $175 cancelation fee b/c nobody calls to cancel their utilities anymore unless they have to. Everything is done online. Super bogus. I was looking at the energy websites for Texas, and I called the number to talk to the people about the plans because I had several picked out. And what I hadn’t realized, which was really disturbing, was that on those comparison websites, they had changed the way that they set them up. I was telling the rep about the three plans I was looking at, and what she pointed out to me was that the numbers for the part “Cost per kilowatt hour” did not include the Oncor delivery fee of three-point-something cents, which is new. I’ve been around here for a long time and all these years, I could go to that website, I could look at those numbers that were presented by each of the different companies, and that was their total delivery price on an average, 2,000-blah-blah kilowatt hours.
They have different qualifiers, but the number on the website for each of the providers would give me like, “Okay, it’s 10.7, and this one is 11.1, and this one is blah, blah, blah.” That wasn’t the case for the others that I was looking at. With Just Energy, it’s a little more with the monthly service fee. It goes up a little bit if you use less than 500 kilowatt hours. But for all the other usage, it includes all the Oncor delivery fees. It’s 10 cents per kilowatt hour, which is simplified, and that’s what you pay. At 501 kilowatt hours or more, you pay 10 cents per kilowatt hour. It's straightforward. And that was very competitive with a lot of the other prices.
One thing also that the representative told me was that Just Energy will deal with consumers directly and that if for any reason that I am not satisfied during this period, which is a year, I can call them and if their rates have gone down, I can get a new rate with them. Also, during this period, if I’m not happy, I wanna change plans, I can call them, deal with them directly, and I can cancel and there’s no termination fee that will be applied to my contract.
Compared to Cirro Energy, which I had for two years, Just Energy gives me way more information. Cirro did nothing. I couldn’t even go to their website and see my own usage without going to the Oncor site and calculating every kilowatt hour usage per day for the month. Just Energy is delivering to me a weekly usage and the approximate cost for that weekly usage. They gave me that information every week so I could see what’s going on with my usage and my cost. I’ve been very pleased with Just Energy so far.

The first time I signed up with them, I got on a plan that is costing me $300 a month in electric bills, which was kinda crazy. So, I went to sign up with somebody else, and this is where they were nice. Somehow, they ended up taking me off of Just Energy before Just Energy got the notice from me that I was quitting. So, normally, you get charged for that, but they were nice enough to waive that when I came back. So they called me to ask me why I was leaving and they came up with a good plan.
But then, yesterday, I called because I didn’t understand my bill and I didn’t see where they were getting my payments. There was a confusion there because I had to have a new account when I came back. So, I sent money and I wasn’t seeing it being applied to the bill. And I sent money through my bank. I bank online and I just say, “Pay this bill.” I’m thinking one of the problems with me paying them is that it was getting lost in all the junk email. So I’ve created a new email account that says, “Just for bills.” I was calling up to tell them that, and then I was asking about what I owed, and I got this lady that was not nice.
She just wouldn’t be helpful. She would go, “Well, now, that’s just the way it is. No, I don’t see what you’re talking about.” She was weird and snippy. She was impatient with me. I told her, “Don’t be mad. I’m just trying to figure this out so I can pay my bill.” She said, “Ma’am, I am not mad.” And it wasn’t just me because I had her on speaker, so the person in the room was like, “What’s wrong with her?”
I said, "There’s a payment of $13", and she said, “No. I don’t see that here.” I said, "Maybe they didn’t know what to do with it, and it’s just sitting in Accounts Receivable or something.” She said, “No. You have to get with your bank.” And said, “My bank sent it. They don’t know what you did with it. I’ve got a confirmation number here from my bank that says that they sent it.” She replied, “Well, you’ll just have to call your bank.” At that point, that’s when I said, “Can I have a different person?” And the next lady she got me to was wonderful. She knew exactly what I was talking about, she figured it out, and now everything’s good.
But it was just crazy to be getting $300 bills, and I’m on Social Security. It's a lot of work to figure out to switch and mostly if it works out good. I don’t know how I ended up being switched, that’s the other thing. I was with another company and I ended up with Just Energy. It felt like I’ve been slammed. And also trying to get through when calling them took forever. So I just put the phone down and played my game on the computer and just waited it out.

I asked what I was signing for and he said that I am signing saying all my information I gave was correct. Well his iPad kept freezing and he would have to start over and this happened at least 5 times and I asked him to come back another day since my child needed me and he refused and said it would be quick. Well that’s when I started getting weirded out and wondering why he was trying this hard to just get my information, well I asked again when signing that I am not signing up for anything and he reassured me I wasn’t.
Well then he says he’s sending a text to my phone. I get my phone and the text says to click the link to enroll with just energy. And I said wait why does it say to click the link to enroll and he said oh it’s just a mistake. Well that’s when I told him to hit the road cause that was not a mistake. Well here I am 2 days later and I’ve received two more texts telling me to complete my verification for enrollment with just energy. This dude completely lied to me and almost had me enroll for something I did not want to. As I type this, I have been on hold for Customer service for over 20 minutes. Just Energy and some Eagle company were the most reasonably-priced for what our power needs were, and since I knew somebody at Just Energy, I went with them. From what the broker was telling me, it would be the exact same bill we would get. It just depended on what company I wanted to get it from. I inherited my house after my dad passed away and we left the contract with CenterPoint mainly because they wanted a bunch of paperwork and information I didn’t have. So, we just let the contract run out till I had time to renew it. I like Just Energy a lot more. They were charging me a fee at the CenterPoint that apparently gets wrapped into my Just Energy pricing. I saved 80 bucks on my last bill. So, it was a substantial amount of money considering that it was almost 50% cheaper. Also, I called Just Energy twice and the reps were helpful.

A gentleman came and knocked on my door. He looked trustworthy so I let him in. He was sweet. Last month was the first time Just Energy took over. But I’m not mad because my bill was pretty low. It was only a $18 charge, which is magnificent, versus 25 and versus a 30 and $26. But it was only my first bill that I got so I'm not dissatisfied at this point. I just wanna know about all the freebies the rep promised me that I was supposed to get, that I have to get two million points before I can get one. The gentleman misrepresented himself on that. Because he said, “If you’re a good customer, looks like you pay your bills and stuff on time, we reward people like you.”
So, I thought the reward came up front. I didn’t know it would take years until I talked to somebody in Florida who said, “Oh, no, no, no darling. That’s not how it works.” It was just funny how she said it. At least, she was honest. I’m from Ohio, so I’m like I’m on another planet. I went ahead and she told me, “Well, it might take a year or two.” There was no saying that I have to get 200, 2,000 points. It was just a matter of five or six months of keeping it current. I took the initiative to call back because I didn’t realize it took three months before it went to effect. I guess the 90-day was the normal process. You would have to almost go through the entire contract before you can get any of that, and that’s disappointing. The salesman didn’t have to say that. He said they were retroactive after a short period of time. It was a lie. It would take years.
I had my hopes up thinking I’m gonna get a little 40, $50 credit card. It’s money, right? So far, the rate looks low, but the sales rep misrepresented himself on that. I was just looking for a lower rate, that’s all. And I took his word the rate would be low, so the rate did come out which was only $18. I don’t know if that’s conducive to the fact that they took over somewhere in between the other month. I would just assume that’s their standard charge. They kept their promise on keeping it low, which is what really matters. If it stays as low, I do appreciate that so it keeps the cost of my bill down. But I don’t expect anything else. By now, I would’ve gotten some kind of a response or whatever, but I didn’t. But I’m gonna get it. It’s only my first encounter. I’ll just wait and see. But overall, I’m satisfied.

Having a supplier , any supplier, means that you pay the supplier for your energy supply and that you pay the utility for all the administrative costs such as delivery and taxes. It is not double the charge and it is not "basically the same thing".
Please, be advised that your Just Energy account has already been cancelled with a utility accepted drop date of September 12th 2019.Please, contact your utility directly for any billing regarding energy usage that happened after September 12th 2019.

My sister answered the door and the rep told my sister that my mom was paying too much and she deserved a rebate and if we signed up a rebate and or a card would be mailed to the house. Promising a lower rate on top of that. Just an FYI, my mom passed away 3 weeks prior. Since I am responsible for the estate my sister gave him my name and I would receive the bill. They had no contact information on me at all. All they had was my sister's contact info.
The next thing my sister was aware of is that she received a text for activation I guess. Who knows. My sister called me and told me she went out to find the rep walking door to door and he could not be found. Anyway, she called and cancelled the service, not me. The next thing I know I received a bill for 17.00 and some odd cents for one days service. I NEVER AUTHORIZED ANYTHING. Talked with their investigation rep and she told me I was responsible for the bill for my name was given. No other information but just my name. I'm going to pay the 17.00 for I feel lucky my sister cancelled it. If she wouldn't have cancelled it then the total bill would of been around 500.00 which is two times what is normally paid. Beware of Door to Door sales reps and practices of JUST ENERGY.

They offered me lower rates and then about a couple of weeks later, the gentleman knocked on my door again, wanted to see if we had gotten our $50 card or not, and we hadn't. He was a very nice dude. The sign-up process was pretty simple. Just take a look at the gas and electric and sign it up. But the guy, second time, talked to my wife and finished the process. I only had an electric bill the first time, but he got it signed up for gas and electric the second time. It's like a six-month, prorated deal.

Good afternoon, Mr. Turner:
Please, contact us directly at 1.866.587.8674 to go over your enrollment with Just Energy. Currently, we do not have any gift card incentives for door to door enrollments. Years ago, when I moved to Harlingen, one of our friends had told us about Just Energy’s prepaid plan because at the time, I wasn’t able to do a contract. I didn't make enough money. So, we did the Just Energy Prepaid, and that was how I got into the Just Energy contract later on when I moved. Just Energy was my first company when I first moved out by myself, and I’ve always stayed with them throughout the different addresses I moved to.
I interact with the representatives from Just Energy when I have to switch over from one address to another. Other than that, all my payments go through the automated system. It’s really quick and easy. I’ve never really needed any help to call the customer service line. So, I’ve never really had a problem. I went paperless last month, so I do access online just to make sure. The website is pretty simple. I did notice that online, Just Energy does like a rewards points system, and that helps out a lot. We recently checked out some of our points and we got a gift card. And then, we got some energy efficient light bulbs as well with the points. So, that’s actually a plus.

I signed up with Just Energy for a monthly fixed rate for a small house. However, the service sucks. When I first got it, Just Energy didn't tell me who the main electrical people is in my area. Just Energy is just a provider but they send somebody else to do the work. There was a hold on the account for my address. When I got service, Just Energy said that they were gonna come out and turn my electricity on on a Thursday. Instead, I had to get a hold of five different people to figure out why they didn't come on Thursday. On that Friday, I found out that it was because they didn't have the city inspection. The only thing that has kept me with Just Energy are the rates and the fact that I was locked in. I figured I didn't need them to do anything else.

They could have done what I asked them when I called, for them to turn my new service on. I told them that I needed it as soon as possible and that they can put in a priority for the next day, but they didn't do that. When they called Oncor to turn the service on, they told them that they didn't need it until the next week. That was why I canceled it and they were not very nice when they canceled it.

Just Energy sounded like a good deal. I was skeptical, but I thought, “Well, let’s look into this a little bit more and see what's involved.” Their rep was almost a little pushy, not overly so, but definitely trying to make the sale. But he assured me that it was all on the up and up. They sent me some information, not that it wasn’t clear, but I was still very skeptical as far as what things might change. I was leery about the fact that the cost would not go up. I know what I have now and I'm happy with it, so I hesitated to take any chances that there might be anything different coming along the wayside. And so, I disregarded everything. So, I'm not using Just Energy.

It's going well with Just Energy. They had someone come around to speak on their behalf, and they gave me a card. They asked me about the kilowatts that I was having with Ambit. Then they prepared the rates and I can get my light for a cheaper price. I'm from a different state where there's only one utility place. So when I first got to Texas, someone recommended me to go to Ambit just for a referral fee, and I was rushing to get my lights on so I didn't get a chance to research all the utility companies.
The representative had me pull out my calculator, add up the kilowatts in, just comparing prices. And I thought I was spending a whole lot of money with Ambit, so I might as well go ahead and switch over to Just Energy. I'm glad that Just Energy came. They actually get out and do the work and help people. A lot of people who are not from Texas don't understand how the way these utilities go here.

The customer service rep I spoke with when I set up the billing was very good and very quick. The rep got the problem solved quickly. Everything was going okay until I found out when I signed up with Just Energy. I was misled by what the rep told me when I was switching services over. I specifically asked if I have to do the transfer of the two companies and if there is a fee for early disconnection, is that taken care. I was told that Just Energy would handle everything. That was the only reason why I went ahead and signed up for the services and I made sure that question was asked before I signed anything. He told me the plan that I have, but there was no contract. I could come and go as I please.
I got a call from Green Mountain yesterday, stating that I still have $150 balance left on my bill. I paid my bill which was $120, but the $150 she told me was for the early disconnection of the policy. And if that was the case, I would have waited it until my contract was up, and then I would have switched over. I would never put myself in a bind like that because I don't have that type of money to be given over.
Outside of that, everything has been smooth sailing. But that was a surprise to me because I was told one thing and something else is being done. Now, they should all figure out how I'm going to pay them $150 when that wasn’t what I was anticipating on doing. I have to come up with the money. I've had them for a month now and I am highly dissatisfied and really pissed about the whole situation. I'm looking into options to switch back.

But this was while I was still in the process of purchasing the home. I didn’t completely close on the house and I had purchased Just Energy. They cost eight cents and I had to shut their service off because I still wasn’t the owner of the house. Then, I tried to get back to Just Energy, but they wanted a $90 deposit and couldn’t do that. So, as my last resort, I ended up going with TXU. I run my air conditioner all day long and TXU was charging me $10 a day for the air conditioner. Then for 19 days, it came out close to $120. That was outrageous.

Horrible customer service. I called in to get my services taken care of. One of the representatives kept putting me on hold. Was talking to me very very disrespectful to the point I had to call in months later to see what actions were taken when I reported I never received an apology until today when I had to “call in and ask for one”... I never received a call like that. Also I’ve been with them for over 2 years. They cut my services off for 60$ and a disconnection notice I not once received them. I’m explaining to them I have a Disability. I need my services. They didn’t give a crap.
I have not ever been cut off. I sent them a screenshot of my online portal and that the due date is different from what they saying. They absolutely did not care that they were in the wrong... MONEY MONEY MONEY...didn’t get compensated for bad services or an update on a very very disrespectful call. I rather go elsewhere. Nope run. Press 1 for English and they don’t even understand what you are saying smh. Y’all have to do better. **A lot of these reviews are from people they give gift cards to for ratings they asked me a few times in shopping centers.

We were paying way too much on our old energy bill. We went to Sam’s Club and Just Energy had a guy advertising in there. We went from there and set it up. Just Energy gave us three nights and from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, we could use all the electricity we want and the electricity’s free. That’s pretty cool. So, we’ve been washing clothes at night-time and it keeps the energy down. Their team members were awesome. They gave us $150 credit for ending our other contract early.

I felt like they gave me the best deal, enough that I just transferred my services to my new house. At first, my bill was a lot cheaper with Just Energy but it started going up. I was at Sam’s Club and Just Energy had an offer. I already had experience with using the Choice program and getting a provider that gives me a lower cost to my energy bill. So, it seemed like this person is completely new and they were offering lower than what I already have so I said okay. I've noticed a difference since switching over, but I guess the winter will tell because that’s when my energy usage kinda skyrockets. However, it's been okay. This is average about what we do. Just Energy is pretty decent.

Hello Ms. Guillaume,
Thank you for reaching out to Just Energy and providing feedback on your experience with Just Energy thus far.
We are glad you've found value in Just Energy's product and service and please know that what you said was exactly correct in that winter months do play a part in usage and, ultimately, the overall cost of your utility.
If you feel that the overall cost has change dramatically and you wish to discuss other rate options, please feel free to give Just Energy a call at 1-866-587-8674 and one of our Energy Advisors will be more than happy to go over all options to provide you the best rate and options to improve your overall experience as a customer of Just Energy.

I was looking to switch over a new energy provider that would offer me better rates and would fit within my budget. I've been with Just Energy for four years and they have the lowest rate back then. The beginning part, I would recommend them to anybody. But in recent years, it’s a little high to me. It’s gone from $90 to almost $200. It is a big difference. And I’m shopping around, still trying to look and see what else is better out there for me. I contacted Just Energy and they said that pretty much everybody’s bill went up that high. I said, “Yeah, I would understand, but not twice as much.” There’s always someone at Just Energy that I can talk to and would help me out.

I was shopping in Sam's and they told me about Just Energy. We were trying to find a cheaper rate so we switched over to Just Energy and we've had them for going on 2 months now. Their team was very friendly and professional, and I had called the customer service about the bill. The only thing I don't like is the billing arrangement because one should be able to break it down into at least four installments especially for low income and single parents, or single home. It's difficult to pay and right now, I'm just trying to get caught up. They worked with me but it's only the two installments. I needed more than two installments 'cause I was over $300 something in light bill. At least if I would have been able to pay $50 per week, that would've help me out a little bit more. Other than that, the bill has been going down a little every month.

My husband thought it was a good idea and he was told that the rate was gonna be 10 cents per kilowatt hour with no TDU fees. That was not true though. The TDU is charged to everybody. The Just Energy reps were okay people but they didn’t have the facts to support what they were saying. I just felt like they were deceptive. The girl that came to my door who was asking people to sign up with Just Energy she made it sound so amazing. She said that weekends were free, the nights were free, and that her grandmother had a three-bedroom house and she was only paying $100. At that time, I was struggling with the company I actually went back to because I was living in a one-bedroom and I was paying almost $200. I felt like it was ridiculous, and that’s why I switched to Just Energy. But it was a mess.
I didn’t know that once I was signed up with Just Energy, I had to call them back to make sure my electricity was on. And apparently, they cancelled my contract after a month of not hearing from me. My apartment complex doesn’t shut off electricity, and it ended up where my apartment had to charge me almost a grand in electric bills. It was my fault because I had auto pay on, and I should have been checking my bank statements. So, it ended pretty bad for me.
I talked to the Just Energy people and they said that they couldn't do anything for me, but they could set me up right at that time. But I didn’t even know if I wanna be set up after everything. And then, they set me up, and I called to cancel the next day. They tried offering me a better rate, and I told them that it was too late. They should have offered me a better rate to begin with when I was upset.

I've been with Just Energy since June. The rep I spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable. She explained the program clearly. However, I've noticed that they are charging me more for the gas than the going rate, so that makes me a little unhappy. I wish there is a bit more transparency with the gas pricing. That's a major issue, because it is a gas supplier. I understand the cap and I understand that there needs to be a profit. The rep explained that there was a cap which was beneficial, but she didn't say that I was gonna be charged at the cap rate the entire time. I just figured since it's a variable rate plan, I assume there's gonna be some variation in rate, not just the highest they could charge. So, I'm dissatisfied with them.

A door to door salesman from Just Energy knocked on my door and started telling me about how I could save money on my electric bill. All the utilities bills are in my mother's name, but I wanted to be cordial to the man and just listened. He brought out paperwork for me to sign so he could follow with me if I decided to sign up, so he asked me for my name, etc. I kept asking him if I will be billed by signing these pages, he answered NO! He proceeded to take more of my info so, I asked again, "you're not going to charge me right", he repeatedly assured me he wasn't, and that it was for if I decided to sign up they would have me in the system already. Ha! Two weeks later I received a bill for $80.00 from Just Energy.
They somehow notified my mom's present electric company (I did not know my mom's electric company name, so how did they get that info?), canceled her service and put her on to their service! This sales rep, illegally took my info given to him and opened up an account without my authorization in my name! So, when I called about it, they said, (before hanging up on me the first time), since I am canceling service, I will be billed for a early termination fee! WHAT?? Are you kidding me?? While on the phone arguing my case, suddenly my ALL my power went out in the house!!
I was without power for 24 hours in the state of TX heat in Sept where the temperatures were over 100 degrees after having to call my previous electric company explaining what Just Energy had done. I had to start a NEW account all over again, because I was no longer in the system. All my food in the fridge went bad and had to run out buying candles and flashlights. I even pulled up out of the ground my outdoor lights that are solar energy in order to get through the night. Do not opened your door to even be cordial to these lying demons.
