Beware of the “Free Cruise” Offer. I want to share my experience so others can be aware of what they may be getting into. While walking around National Harbor, my spouse and I were approached and invited to attend a Wyndham timeshare presentation. We were told we needed to put down $50 to reserve our spot for the next day. We did receive the $50 back afterward on a gift card.

We attended the presentation, and everything seemed fine until we got to the purchase price. After the walkthrough, we immediately declined the timeshare. We were then given information about a “free cruise.” However, we were required to contact a third-party company and pay a $150 deposit. After paying the deposit, we were told we had to wait two weeks before we could make the reservation.

After calling multiple times, I finally got through and was told we had to choose from whatever dates were available. I was then told it would cost $745 to reserve the cruise after Christmas, even though I attended the presentation in June. At that point, I declined. I then read the terms and discovered that I had less than 30 days to request a refund of the $150 deposit. I was only two days away from the deadline, so I immediately mailed my cancellation to the Florida address provided using certified mail, which cost me another $10. I eventually received an email stating that it could take up to 30 days to receive my refund.

Overall, this experience wasted my time and money. I also checked the Royal Caribbean website, and the cruise being offered was available directly through Royal Caribbean for approximately the same amount I was being asked to pay. Based on my experience, I would not consider this cruise offer free or highly discounted. I recommend reading every term and condition, especially the fine print regarding deposits, deadlines, availability, and additional fees, before agreeing.

Nothing but a scam. Tell you one thing and ends up being a scam. Anytime a company hides thing from you is wrong. My understanding it was a $23 a month for 2years point deal. Got package, went to my resort, reviewed and found financing agreement I did not sign but the salesman signed my name to a total of $128 dollars 2 years. This was in the mild that I never even laid eyes on.

Club Wyndham is the WORST and most deceitful company I have ever dealt with. In theory, an "ownership" provides a certain number of deeded properties or "points" that can be used for vacation bookings. To be very clear, the Wyndham resorts are strictly in the United States and a couple resorts in Cancun and Cabo, Mexico. They will tell you about the wonders of converting points to RCI for international bookings, but good luck ever finding anything you might be looking for. Annual maintenance fees are exorbitant.

Once your "agent" who sells the membership says, "I'll be your PERSONAL agent, I'll help you book" or any other "promise" made to you, you will never be able to reach the person again. If you then decide you want OUT of your ownership, you'll need to hire a lawyer, and pay tens of thousands of dollars. You will NEVER recoup your investment. Moreover, if they try to tell you that you can combine points with your Wyndham Rewards membership to book Wyndham hotels, good luck finding a Wyndham hotel that's anywhere near a city center or isn't a 1 Star dump. Since COVID, availability of resorts is worse than ever and Wyndham is allegedly booking the public directly, at the expense of its owners who paid a lot of money for access.

Would put less stars if I could. Both the vouchers and timeshare are scams. The vouchers are worthless. Can book a trip cheaper without it to same resort. Also the timeshare is a money grab done by a high pressure sales team. Don't do it.

I have never dealt with a company as cold and incompetent as this. I’ve been trying to resolve our contract issues, and the absolute lack of cooperation and empathy from their staff is beyond words. They spent months putting me through an exhausting runaround to get someone to look at our file for an exit review. During my last attempt to get basic help, I was transferred five separate times between the exit team, billing, and owner support, only to be passed around and left with zero resolution. This company should be ashamed of how they treat people who are dealing with major life challenges. I am at my absolute limit with this ongoing nightmare and the constant evasion tactics.

I strongly recommend never buying a timeshare from any company based on my regrettable experience with Club Wyndham. From my perspective, the company is far more focused on making the sale than on ensuring the product is truly a good fit for the customer's financial situation, travel habits, or long-term needs. The sales process was aggressive and highly persuasive, and it often felt like they were determined to make the sale at any cost, regardless of whether the purchase made sense for me. Unfortunately, the reality after purchasing has been very different from what was promised.

Reservation availability is often limited or nonexistent, making it difficult to use the points when and where I wanted. One of the primary reasons I purchased was for vacation flexibility, yet I frequently found that my desired destinations and travel dates were unavailable. As a result, I often had to pay for my own vacations elsewhere, completely defeating the purpose of owning a timeshare. To make matters worse, I am still responsible for the $230 per month in maintenance fees, whether I can use the timeshare or not.

While management initially offered to help address my concerns, they never followed through. I left numerous messages requesting assistance, but no one ever returned my calls. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer support has been extremely frustrating. The level of service and attention provided during the sales presentation seems to disappear once the contract is signed. As an owner, I expected management to stand behind their commitments and respond when issues arose. Instead, I was left chasing answers with no resolution and no follow-up.

My biggest piece of advice to anyone considering a timeshare is this: if you really want one, do not buy it directly from the company. Research the resale market first. I was shocked to learn that timeshares that sell for over $100,000 from the company, only resell for $3,000. That enormous loss in value was never adequately explained during the sales process. Had I understood the reality of the resale value before buying, I would have made a very different decision.

Before purchasing a Club Wyndham timeshare, or any timeshare, carefully research the long-term costs, maintenance fees, reservation limitations, low resale values, and customer service experiences of current owners. Based on my experience, buying this timeshare is a decision I deeply regret and would not recommend to anyone.

Club Wyndham takes comfort in scamming people with the use of tantalizing promises that they never deliver upon. From our understanding, and based upon our experience, they lack accountability as a business. My partner and I had won a 'no strings attached - free vacation.' The company later made up every excuse to not give it to us. We figured that it was essentially a scam to obtain our personal information. Wyndham utilized every excuse to rob us of the vacation that we were promised.

We were drastically inconvenienced by all of the loss via things we had scheduled, took time off of work for, lost time (due to the day long sales presentation that was supposed to be less than 2 hours), etc. For a major corporation like Wyndham to pull such nonsense, including scamming us, inconveniencing us, and pushing all of the loss to our end. We are extremely disappointed and would not recommend the company to anyone. If they ever resolve the issue, I will update the review.

My wife and I went to this shop in Pier Park and we paid 50$ for a presentation. With no pressure to buy anything out so they say. We were down here on our wedding anniversary and when we got there everyone was really nice. Until the end. They started out by telling us the packages and showing us around. Then they started with wanting to run our credit and when my wife said no they wouldn’t take that as an answer. They started to be bullies and be rude. My wife was so shaken up at the end and we couldn’t wait to leave. It was a horrible experience! Do not do it!

I spoke to a representative about extending my points this year and was told that they would be extended to 2028. When I went to make a reservation recently, I noticed I had NO points! I checked the website and saw that it said "future use in 2028". I called and was told that I could NOT use my points and could "borrow" points 3 months in advance. That's not the purpose of the timeshare. I am VERY SERIOUSLY considering exiting out of it after 15 years! I was told the supervisor didn't do phone calls and after the representative talked to someone called back and said they could do nothing! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME and NOT the purpose of the timeshare!

At no time did I ask the representative to transfer my 78,000 points for this year to 2028 except requested her to EXTEND them which she said she would do! She lied! I also talked to a previous representative who said there was no availability and I would be put on a search list. This was also a lie! I was NOT on any list! These people are shady. DO NOT BUY THIS TIMESHARE!

We haven’t even used our membership and they relentlessly harass us with phone calls to “discuss our membership” which means subject yourself to another high pressure sales pitch. Don’t buy in! It just gives them permission to stalk you no matter how many times you tell them no. They keep changing their phone number so you can’t even block them.

This is a horrible company. They consider "owners" to be proven suckers and every time you visit a property they insist on you attending an "owner update" which is just a way to get you in the room with a salesperson where you hear how you can get out of paying the odious maintenance fee (which they assess) by giving them a bunch more money. Take my advice and don't get involved with Wyndham.

I paid the 199 fee for a future stay and sales presentation which I was waiting to schedule pending results from some ongoing medical tests. After all my testing I was told that I need to start some extensive medical treatments. I called Wyndham to ask if I could have that fee refunded and cancel my promotion as it was obvious I would not be in any position to be a timeshare candidate with the new health issues which I had just been presented with. I was told unfortunately there are no refunds no exceptions even medical.

Clearwater Beach is a beautiful serene-ish beach location and nice Wyndham property here. My experience was completely ruined by interaction with the office staff. After avoiding all contact with the sales staff for years, I was advised at checkin that the company had been sold and I "needed" to attend on-boarding, not sales, to be informed the changes. After being informed of the changes and that I had an "unclaimed credit", the pleasant interaction took a bad turn. A new person (possibly higher level) came, informed me I was not eligible for "this" because of the type of contracts I had, and began to speak of "refinance"...At which time I halted the discussion because I have ZERO desire for that. Original guy comes back and suggests I flipped the script. I said I misunderstood to "unclaimed credit", but knowing it involves refinancing, I was not interested in claiming the funds because I did not want to go through the process.

The original guy kept trying to get me to use his words for why I did not want to pursue the offer. We went back and forth. My frustration turned to anger. I cussed (forgive me) and quickly pulled my chair back to leave. My chair bumped the shelf behind it and some things fell. The original guys says, "Now you are throwing things...Your room number...Call". I did not catch all his words, but felt he was trying to report me to security, so I just needed and wanted to leave and I left. The worst Wyndham encounter I have ever had with what was already an uncomfortable experience, which is why I had been avoiding these "briefings". They trap you for hours trying to "sell" something and that has always been uncomfortable for me.

Our experience with Club Wyndham was extremely disappointing!!!! Bellow F rating! From the initial marketing solicitation by LaJoyce **, through the lengthy sales presentation and subsequent interactions with management, we were repeatedly promised benefits and incentives that were never delivered. We attended the presentation based on specific representations made by their team over 90 minutes long, yet after the presentation we found ourselves having to repeatedly follow up regarding the promised incentive, with little to no resolution, including manager Jamie whom we trued to follow up for over a week, and he continued misleading us.

The sales process felt highly pressured and began with discussions of memberships costing tens of thousands of dollars before being reduced to lower-priced options. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling that the promises made during the sales process did not match the reality of what was delivered. What has been most frustrating is not only the failure to receive what was promised, but also the amount of time and effort required to continually chase answers. Customers should not have to repeatedly follow up to obtain incentives or benefits that were used to encourage attendance in the first place.

Based on our experience, we would strongly advise consumers to carefully research Club Wyndham, read reviews from other customers, and fully understand all terms and promises before attending a presentation or making any purchase decision. Or simply RUN AWAY from them as fast as you can! We have filed complaints and are pursuing additional avenues to address our concerns, including reporting the matter to consumer protection organizations. We encourage anyone who has had a similar experience to document everything and pursue the appropriate channels for resolution. We would not recommend Club Wyndham to anyone based on our experience. Just a HORRIBLE, deceptive, dishonest and unethical company.
