About Newton Group Transfers

Newton Group is a timeshare exit company that helps timeshare owners make a legal exit from these properties. Begin the process by answering some questions to help Newton Group map out the best exit strategy for you.

What is Newton Group?

Newton Group helps its clients legally get out of their timeshares. The company employs timeshare experts who know the ins and outs of the industry. It also co-founded DC Capital Law and provides individual legal counsel.

DC Capital Law’s lawyers work directly for the consumer rather than the exit group; it’s bound by fiduciary duty to make decisions in the client’s best interest. This distinction sets Newton Group apart from the competition, because in many cases, the lawyers work to ensure the exit group benefits — even if the owner doesn’t.

Newton Group charges a flat fee for both services, and its benefits are all under one contract, simplifying the process. The company also makes consumer education a key pillar of its services — it’s the country’s longest-standing timeshare exit company.

How does Newton Group work?

If you’re trying to get out of a timeshare contract, you can begin Newton Group’s five-step process, which starts with a free call to review your specific situation and see what legal paths out of ownership exist for you. As a part of this welcome call, you’ll fill out a questionnaire to help the team get started.

Then the company reviews in-house options for your timeshare. If none are available, it pursues third-party transfer or cancellation options. Throughout the process, Newton Group experts advocate for you, helping leverage your position. Finally, the team retains legal representation for you, giving you access to attorneys with proven experience in timeshare exits. This ongoing legal representation can help you get out of ownership the right way.

Newton Group timeshare exit costs

Timeshare exits can be complicated. Every contract is unique, and each situation is different, so there isn’t a one-size-fits-all pricing strategy. For this reason, Newton Group doesn’t make its pricing publicly available. To see costs, speak to a team member about your timeshare and let them review the details of your situation. The team does promise to use a flat-rate fee, so you won’t be charged an exuberant hourly fee or be hit with unexpected costs.

Newton Group FAQ

Who is a good fit for Newton Group?

If you’re looking for a legal exit from your timeshare, you might benefit from Newton Group’s services. The company website specifically mentions people who feel like they were pressured into a timeshare contract or who were lied to in the process.

Where is Newton Group located?

Newton Group’s headquarters are in Mesa, Arizona. It also has a corporate presence in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

How long does Newton Group take?

Legally exiting a timeshare can take time. But exactly how long it’ll take depends on your specific situation, so Newton Group doesn’t have a timeline publicly available. The team works with you on an individual basis to determine what options you qualify for and how long they might take.

Who owns Newton Group?

In 2003, three friends founded The Newton Group ESA, providing software and sales support to different businesses, and they developed a web-based customer relationship management platform to secure timeshare exits for customers. Realizing they’d found their niche, they created Newton Group, a fully independent timeshare exit agency, in 2005.

Still have questions?

Is the Newton Group legit?

Newton Group is a legitimate timeshare exit company. It combines two services — timeshare exit and legal representation — under one contract and for one flat fee. However, since timeshare exit is a personalized process, you’ll need to provide details about your situation to learn your options, get a quote and get a better idea about how long the process will take.

After years of feeling trapped in a timeshare that no longer fit our lifestyle, we finally decided to seek help getting out of it. The process was much smoother than we expected, and we were guided every step of the way. The Newton Group team was professional, knowledgeable, and always available to answer questions. What impressed us most was their honesty and transparency. They explained our options clearly and kept us informed throughout the entire process. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to successfully exit our timeshare and eliminate the ongoing maintenance fees and stress that came with it. We are extremely grateful for their assistance.

This place has great reviews so I'm a little confused about my very poor experience. I was scheduled to receive a consultation call at 7:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time which would have been 9:00 a.m. eastern. When it began to be 9:50 a.m. eastern and I didn't receive a call I decided to call the number back. When the representative Ryan ** answered he started off the conversation rude by educating me on the different time zones and the time our call was supposed to be. So I was a little confused by that because I know that Eastern Standard Time is 2 hours after Mountain Standard Time.

Since the call was supposed to be at 9:00 a.m. EST and he was trying to tell me that the call wasn't until 10 minutes from then which would have been 8:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time not 7. He then went into how he wasn't trying to be disrespectful but he was confused of why I called him for assistance because I didn't even own a timeshare yet when I reached out to him. So he proceeded to grill me and interrogate me about when I actually purchased my timeshare.

We had actually purchased it in a different city a few days before I reached out but it was very rude for him to start off the conversation with educating me on the time zones and then grilling me on when I actually purchased the timeshare instead of just asking how he could help. We really just wanted to know if they were any services that the Newton group could provide on looking through our paperwork and helping us understand if there were any whammy that could be detrimental down the line. I'm not sure if it was just this agent or if it's typical of this company but apparently he was only interested in a customer who was already locked into a timeshare and disgruntled but that's all that needed to be professionally said.

I tried several options trying to get out of my timeshare: returning it to the resort, selling it privately and listing it with Sell My Timeshare Now. Nothing worked. After looking into firms that promised to get me out of my timeshare, I selected Newton Group. They clearly explained the process and guided me in selecting the option that worked best for me. They assigned my case to an affiliated attorney who assured me that my credit would be protected throughout the process. They also had contacts with the right people at the resort ownership, which I am sure facilitated the process. I was able to get totally free of my ownership without paying any additional money for things like title work and deed transfer. The process took about 2 years, but it was worth it.

Paid $3200 to hire their services and after 8 years asking for more money doing nothing. All they do is take your money and wait for the time share company to foreclose. They do absoloutely nothing and will not return phone calls and will pass you back and forth between their in house legal department and customer service indefinitely. They are no better than the timeshare company you are trying to exit. This is a complete money grabbing fraud business. Do not give this company money. Call your timeshare and try and pay your deed release instead.

As of the writing of this review, I am not encouraged that my issue will be resolved. I too, gave Newton 5K to help get out of my Westgate Timeshare. I'm not sure what that money went towards; all they did was refer me to Timely Acquisitions. They, in turn, charged me another $2K for a "transfer fee" to take over the deed. Well, they never transferred the deed and went bankrupt in 2025. Today, I received a late payment notice from Westgate. I find it interesting that Newton has not replied to any of these reviews since 2024. I feel like I was totally scammed and don't anticipate my call to Newton will be very fruitful. It now makes sense why the agreement with Newton has so many disclaimers to not hold them liable for anything! PLEASE learn from my mistake and stay away from this suspect process!

We hired Newton Group 3 years ago to help us get out of our timeshare which we had owned since 1982. They turned our account over to Timely Acquisitions who has done nothing and now filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. All attempts to contact both Newton Group and the now defunct Timely Acquisitions have been for naught, this after spending almost $13K to get out of our timeshare. I have nothing good to say about Newton Group other than they are a scam.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. They charged me approximately $3500 to extricate me from a timeshare in Mexico about a year and a half ago. They immediately transferred the account to DC Capital. That company has not lifted a finger or even contacted the timeshare as far as I can tell. There is no indication from the time share that they have been contacted by DC Capital. The assigned never return my emails.

We had purchased a Timeshare many years ago and were not able to use it. We tried many times to sell this property but was unable to. After many tries with different organizations, we happen to come across the Newton Group Transfers. They worked with us and we were able to sell. I would recommend this group to anyone that is trying to get out of a Timeshare and the fees that keep going up.

We were very skeptical of using any company to get out from under the burden of our timeshare as we had been burned before. We had the timeshare for five years and were never able to use it. We hated the idea of throwing more money out, but decided to trust the Newton Group, based on the many good reviews. To our delight and relief, they performed exactly as they said they would. Most importantly, they kept in touch, which greatly reduced our anxiety. The fee was definitely worth it to no longer be bogged down in timeshare expenses and the worry that our kids might be stuck with them in the future.

After we paid a 4000.00 dollar fee to get out of our timeshare they gave us two options - one was to use a company they recommend and pay 1995.00 and they couldn’t sell it we use a lawyer that they provide to negotiate a release. Meanwhile we receive a email from our timeshare that they are closing and filing bankruptcy. I sent the email to them and called them stating that it cannot be sold if it’s not in business and they agreed. A lawyer was provided to negotiate with the resort and deed back and we were released from the timeshare after another 200.00. But that’s ok. They did reassure us that they would get our money returned from the company that was supposed to sell it. It’s been several months and nothing. No returned calls or emails. We are on a fixed income need the 1995.00.

I owned a timeshare that I couldn’t use and with the maintenance fees more than tripling over the years I was becoming desperate for a way out. I was aware that there are probably as many timeshare relief scams as there are timeshares so I was very skeptical and looked at a few before deciding to go with Newton Group. I can tell you from my experience this company delivers. They provided a lot of info up front but things take time and after a while you start to wonder if it’s ever going to be settled and then the day arrived.

I got a message that the timeshare was sold and no longer my responsibility. Honestly I was shocked. I asked and they said the deed transfer was complete and I would receive a hard copy in the mail soon. Let me tell you, I am overjoyed that the people at Newton Group worked their magic and when it was all over I was free of maintenance fees forever. I’m so happy we went with Newton Group and our timeshare situation no longer haunts us.

In 2023, my parents and I contacted the Newton Group about timeshare exiting. My parents had entered into a timeshare agreement in Mexico about 10 years prior. My parents were at a point where they couldn't enjoy the benefits of the timeshare due to my parents age and health but still had annual assessments, regardless of whether or not they used the timeshare. The Newton Group guided us seamlessly through the process of exiting the timeshare agreement in a timely and expedient manner, negotiating a final exit for a small fraction of the timeshare contract amount.

The Newton Group provided options, professional guidance/assistance, and a caring and willing attitude to assist my parents in this endeavor. It took just a few months to patiently get through the process and my parents are finally relieved of this looming annual payment and financial responsibility. I would highly recommend the Newton Group for exiting timeshare agreements/contracts!

If I could put zero stars I would, 7 years ago years yes seven years ago I paid $4700.00 to US Consumer Attorneys. Absolutely nothing but to advise me to stop paying to ensure a better stance on my timeshare exit. Countless calls and emails over the years telling me your case is in court. 2100 clients released but mine would take 6-9 months more. ‘We tendered a settlement from Wyndham back in 2022. I’m surprised Wyndham has not closed the account.” (Dec 2022) “Currently we don’t have much of an update regarding Wyndham, However as probably mentioned in our previous emails, most of our clients have been receiving letters from the resort notifying them that the is taking the timeshare back. This was a result of the litigation we had with the resort…” (Jan 2023)

I have never received anything from the resort, as of 20 Dec 2024 my Wyndham account remains active, they are using a new name Fairfield to report missed payment on my credit report. Nothing about this process seems above board, none of my previous contact emails work, email sent to the customer support inbox never gets responded to and the robotic voicemail rarely works and I never get response phone calls back.
