    We flew from Las Vegas to Dubai. Our luggage did not arrive. We had checked luggage and didn’t have anything but whatever we worn. Many times called customer service then I was told they are gonna call me back, but nobody. I emailed many times and called the customer service. No resolution 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. We bought some toiletries and couple t shirt. Wanna get reimbursement but very bad customer service. Beware with this guys.

    I always thought Qatar airways is one of the best. After my experience, I would not recommend it at all. The seating is so terrible, no room whatsoever in economy. You sit there like sardines. Even in economy you should give passengers more legroom and not the way you have it. I was hurting all the way to Doha and back to Dallas with no legroom whatsoever. I will not ever fly with your airways again. And what is this. You have to go on busses to get to the airport. People with connecting flights miss it then first almost an hour late leaving then waiting to get off to get to a bus.

    Every time I purchase a ticket on Qatar Airways, I literally have to call them to send the ticket through customer service. This call can take as long as 1 hour with a lot of repetition and argument. They use FloCash to collect payment but find it hard to confirm payment for flight and send receipt. The first service person to pick your call will almost deny knowing about FloCash and transfer your call about four times before you get anything resolved. This is the worst airline ticket purchase experience I have ever had!!!

    I would rate this as one of the worst airlines I've flown. I am shocked that it receives such good reviews. Maybe if you're flying in the Q suite. My summer experience from Dallas to Nairobi: Website is quirky, slow and links are dated. In addition, some third party scammed me with a flight change fee that I did get refunded after I reported them to the FTC. It was on the Qatar website, this was not an offsite extension. The flight itself was ok. The food is really not any better than any other international long flight. I did like the cameras on the outside of the planes, you can see some cool views. In Doha, I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful. Blatantly sexist (I'd have my passport out and they would take even my 14 year old's before mine). I can forgive that as I guess it's cultural there.

    The flight back was worse. My 5 hour leg had a seat that wouldn't recline. Several seats on multiple flights had issues, the attendants had to try to manhandle them to make them work. That seemed "poor quality" to me. Last, it took 3 times to get my family's Avios credited to our accounts. The website is totally useless to try to book with partner airlines using Avios. I'm still trying to figure that out. Once I get them used, I will cancel any club membership with Qatar and never fly them again. Truly a disappointment from what they are "touted" to be.

    One of the worst airline experience I've had and worst service I got during returning time from New Delhi to Dallas Tx. Flight was cancelled and they held us up to 12 hour in the the airport without any proper notice and did not mange return ticket up to 4 days upon the the request at the airport. One thing that struck me was, the refund was very low even though they hadn't gave us proper notice, we had to sleep on luggage carts. The date of return from Delhi was 6/24/2025.

    Lost my baggage even though it's a direct flight. They are only willing to compensate me a small amount. My bag has a total of 7000$ worth items. I am really upset and the customer service are all **. One of them shouted at me saying, "I have many passengers waiting. If you are not ready then call later." And he hanged up.

    Qatar Business class. Doha to DC, staff is humble but careless. They don’t really pay attention to the call buttons or show up unless you ask someone to pay attention. QR579 on Aug 17th 2025. Especially the female attendants are the most careless ones and the male ones were pretty active but again, no attention to details and call buttons. So please look for Etihad or Emirates for this route going forward and I will do the same and back to Emirates or Etihad.

    Qatar Airways is not a good option for families, and the cabin crew doesn't care much about passengers.. My wife traveled from Dallas to Jeddah via Qatar Airways, and the return was via Emirates from Jeddah to Dubai, then Qatar Airways from Dubai to Dallas.. My wife traveled with two children, one aged five years and the other an infant aged 10 months.. Unfortunately, she wasn't given a bed for the infant, and she carried the child in her arms for the entire flight, which lasted about 16 hours. When transferring to change flights at Doha Airport, she had to carry the infant and two bags along with the passenger.. One of the checked bags was broken, and Qatar Airways staff were notified - unlike Emirates.. There was a lot of attention with Emirates, even at the airport, the treatment of Emirates passengers was different, and there were workers for assistance and transport..

    *Summary of the experience* *Qatar Airways*: Didn't provide a bed for the infant, and the mother had to carry the child for the entire flight (about 16 hours). *Transfer at Doha Airport*: The mother had to carry the child and two bags. *Emirates Airlines*: Treatment was different, and there was greater attention to passengers with workers available for assistance and transport. *Bag damage*: One of the bags was broken during shipping with Qatar Airways.

    I had the worst experience from Qatar. I booked Business class for my flight from OR Tambo Johannesburg more than 3 weeks before the flight date. I received Business boarding passes from Johannesburg until my destination. When I got to Doha I found someone from Qatar with a board with my name on it. That's when I got told that there was no space for me in Business class and had been downgraded to Economy. I have emailed and called several times for at least to get my refund and some explanation but to no avail. Why does Qatar do this. Dr **.

    We recently travelled on Qatar Airways from Doha to New York. My father suddenly fell sick and we all became nervous.. He was not able to breath. Qatar Airways crew member - Supriya came into action and immediately gave medical aid to my father... She was very professional and committed to my father's well being... I have never seen such service before... Within minutes my father recovered... Thank you Supriya....You are the best.

    I purchased my ticket with a specific request for a window seat but was assigned an aisle seat instead. Despite raising the issue, Qatar Airways provided no assistance or resolution at the airport. The customer service experience was extremely disappointing and unhelpful. Based on this experience, I will not travel with Qatar Airways again and strongly disagree with its reputation as the “world’s best airline".

    Last year, traveling to Pakistan with my family. My Visa issued by PK embassy had a mistake in my name, just one alphabet was entered in the wrong place. Anyway, the Atlanta Qatar manager asked me to wait and that he is talking to the airport authority in Pakistan to check if they will allow me. I could see, he was not making calls but just made me wait. This costed me another $3K to buy another ticket. If I would have called CS before the flight left, I could have avoided the exp.. Pathetic!

    *1/5 Stars - Appalling Experience with Qatar Airways*. I'm writing to express my utter disappointment and frustration with my recent experiences with Qatar Airways. My travels with the airline were marred by rude staff, blatant racism, and a complete lack of customer service. On June 6th, my journey from DFW to Doha began on a sour note. Before I even reached the check-in line, I was confronted by a rude and racist staff member who seemed to take issue with my presence. Despite traveling with an infant and a small child, this individual showed no compassion or understanding.

    Unfortunately, my return journey on July 26th from Doha to Dallas was even more horrendous. The gate staff were rude, and due to connecting flight delays, not all of our pre-selected seats were assigned. However, the most appalling aspect of this flight was the behavior of the flight attendant assigned to seat 16A. Throughout the flight, this attendant was consistently rude and unhelpful. She ignored my requests for assistance, shrugged off issues with the seat entertainment remote, and made snide comments whenever I interacted with her. Her behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. The final straw was when she attempted to scold me for not remembering the numbers of the three different locations where my luggage had been placed. As a passenger traveling with small children, I expect a certain level of understanding and accommodation from the flight staff.

    Sadly, my experiences with Qatar Airways have left a sour taste in my mouth. I will not be using this airline again and would advise others to think twice before booking with them. *Details:*
    - Flight 1: DFW to DOH, June 6th
    - Flight 2: DOH to DFW, July 26th
    - Seat: 16A (return flight).

    I hope Qatar Airways takes my complaints seriously and takes immediate action to address these issues and provide better training to their staff.

    This has been the worst airline experience I have ever had.. and I never even got to complete the flight. My experience concerns the booking, re-booking, re-re-booking, re-re-re-booking (because of multiple flight cancellations by Qatar Airways), and finally the refund process. Every call takes almost 30 minutes to get the most basic things done. Verification is endless. I understand the need for security but it doesn't make sense to verify the account/booking 30 minutes after the chat begins. I saw that QA is one of the world's top airline, but my own experience begs to differ. I cannot in good conscience recommend this airline to anyone or would I ever book a flight on there.

    I travelled on Qatar Airways two times and both times the flight was delayed and I missed the connection flights. Qatar Airways flights are not reliable. Due to this delay I missed two appointments. The officials does not even concerned about travelers' inconvenience caused due to flight delays.

    There’s a reason their reviews are so low. Their customer service is unhelpful at best, and at worst, they respond in a way that feels dismissive or even deliberately frustrating—likely in the hope that you’ll give up on your request. One of the worst companies I’ve dealt with. When you truly need assistance, not only are they unhelpful, but also disrespectful. I’d strongly recommend avoiding Qatar Airways if possible.

    Air hostesses seemed to be selectively rude on one of our flights. They were giving us lot of trouble to pass sugar or water. But they were nice with few others and rude with others based on the color of the skin of passengers. Also, baggage checkin rep was extremely apathetic at Houston airport

    Qatar customer service is pathetic! The wait time is very long and after connecting the call, service representatives could not hear me. Out of 8 attempts only once I could talk to the service representative and the problem was not resolved. Also, I tried to connect through the chat but it did not go through with reason of 'high volume'. Qatar customer service is a joke!

    I have flown over 1.2 million miles. Qatar is the most arrogant and least friendly to senior citizens. I purchased a business class ticket from ATL to BOM—the last leg from DOH to BOM is a codeshare with Indigo. I need to carry a portable oxygen concentrator with me. They would let me for the first leg but would not for the second, even though Indiogo is fine with it. Staff is like a parrot; it doesn't understand simple logic. In a nutshell, they are discriminating against aging senior citizens.

    We Paid for Business Class – Qatar Airways Delivered Trauma, Not Service. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Qatar Airways after a traumatic experience on our return journey from Baghdad to Montreal — despite paying over $17,000 for our family’s travel, including $9,000 in Business Class upgrades.

    Our experience, especially as a family traveling with special needs children, was nothing short of a nightmare:
    • Misinformation & false promises: We were misled at every stage regarding upgrades, with staff at every touchpoint deflecting responsibility — Baghdad, Doha, even the call center.
    • Separation from our autistic children: Despite paying for Business Class, I was separated from my children due to Qatar’s poor planning. My wife had to manage our children alone in Business Class while I took her place in Economy.
    • Crew lacked empathy or professionalism: My wife was publicly berated by flight attendants after trying to explain our children’s needs. She was told to leave the children unattended, and later summoned back and forth while trying to console them — defeating the purpose of paying for rest and comfort in Business Class.

    • Special assistance was a disaster: In Doha, a promised support wagon for our children wasn’t returned until two hours before boarding, leaving us stranded during a 15-hour layover. The wheelchair assistance was poorly managed and severely delayed.

    We submitted a formal complaint over two months ago. To date, we’ve received nothing but generic responses and repeated requests to “wait a little longer.” No resolution, no empathy, no accountability. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable — especially from an airline that claims to offer “world-class service.” As loyal customers who trusted Qatar Airways with our family’s comfort and care, we were let down in every possible way. I am sharing this publicly because no family, and especially no child with special needs, should ever be subjected to this kind of experience. We paid for Business Class and received disrespect, neglect, and trauma in return. Qatar Airways — you owe us an explanation and a proper response.

    Booked a very expensive business class flight from Portland, OR to Cairo, Egypt 6 months in advance of trip. A month later I received an email stating that one leg of the trip had been canceled. I contacted Qatar to get a replacement flight booked and was told I needed to wait 72 hours for this to happen. Seven days later, I still had not been contacted, so I called. I was put on hold for 26 minutes only to be told they would call me back as "this would take some time to resolve". OMG! I had let them know the information about a replacement flight I found when I contacted them the first time. This is not hard. When I expressed my displeasure with their non-customer centric behavior, the agent hung up on me. Unbelievable! May cancel the whole trip now knowing that Qatar Airways is a HORRIBLE COMPANY.

    I have been a loyal Qatar Airways customer for years. My family and I have always chosen Qatar for all our international travel, but this recent experience has made me seriously reconsider. Before purchasing lounge access for my elderly parents, I called Qatar Airways customer service multiple times to confirm which lounge would be appropriate. Sadly, none of the agents could provide a clear answer. They all insisted, “You can buy any lounge access—it doesn’t matter.” Based on that assurance, I purchased the access.

    When my parents arrived at the airport, they were denied entry and told that I had purchased access to the “wrong lounge.” Despite the fact that the price was comparable and the error was due to their own poor guidance, no effort was made to accommodate them or redirect the access. My parents, both seniors, were left without a proper place to rest during a 9-hour layover, and the experience was incredibly stressful and uncomfortable for them.

    I filed a formal complaint and requested a refund of $99 in October 2024. Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times, and every single time I’ve been told, “Your case has been escalated.” It’s now been over six months, and my case has apparently been “escalated” the entire time—with no result, no resolution, and no refund. To make things worse, their customer service has been consistently unhelpful and often outright rude. For an airline that markets itself as a standard of excellence, this experience has been beyond disappointing. After years of choosing only Qatar Airways, my family and I are now seriously considering other airlines. When a $99 refund takes half a year and still goes unresolved, it’s clear that loyalty means nothing to them.

    Terrible Experience – Lost My Luggage and No Accountability! I am extremely disappointed with Qatar Airways after my recent flight. Not only did they lose my luggage, but their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. Despite multiple follow-ups, I was given nothing, still waiting for any update even after 25 days. not even single call back or email.

    What’s the point of flying with a "5-star airline" if they can’t even deliver basic services like ensuring baggage arrives with passengers? The lack of urgency and responsibility from their staff made the situation even more worse. I had important belongings in my luggage, and Qatar Airways showed zero empathy or willingness to resolve the issue promptly. Never flying with them again, and I advise others to think twice before trusting them.

    Whoever said that Qatar was #1 airline?!? You hesitate between flying Emirates or Qatar Airways? Fly Emirates. Qatar inflight service is as great as Emirates, no doubt. But for the rest, it is a knock-out: the worse customer service ever. We flew Business Class from the USA to South Africa via Doha. On our way back, the flight between Johannesburg to Doha was canceled by Qatar; Qatar put us on an earlier flight with a layover of 10 hours overnight in Doha. No planning on their end to manage this long stay, no message saying where to go to be taken care of, no hotel room booked even though they recognized we were in a « STPC » case (Stopover Paid by Carrier) and, icing on the cake, access to the business lounge denied.

    The different customer service personnel we talked to at the airport gave us several different reasons for that but we still don’t know exactly why, as we did enjoy business lounges on our way in. Bottom line, we spent 10 hours at Doha airport, sleeping on the floor in a crappy lounge. We filed a complaint, waited weeks then sent another email then a third one before, finally, receiving an answer: “sorry for the inconvenience”. No compensation of any kind. We went for #1 airline experience and ended up with below low-cost airline services. Never again.

    I had a very disappointing experience with this airline. My carry-on was checked in and arrived a full day late. Inside, I had expensive medication that needed to stay cold — it was completely ruined. I also had an expensive face cream that spilled and damaged my clothes, which I had to throw away. When I filed a complaint, they asked for receipts for everything — including items bought in Iran, where most purchases are made in cash. I explained this and even sent what I could, but because the receipts weren’t from U.S. or recognizable systems, they refused to accept them. They only offered $50 for the delay and ignored the actual damage. It felt like they don’t value customers from countries that don’t have strong ties with the U.S. Their customer service was cold and unhelpful. I would never fly with them again and don’t recommend them to anyone traveling internationally.

    The airlines canceled my flight without giving a clear reason. I was to fly March 19th and today is April 18th. I have been trying to get refunded on the canceled flight due to their issues. The earliest date they could get me out would have been 3 days from the day they canceled the flight. This would have been too late due to missing the Persian New Celebrations. I have been trying to get refunded and still have not resolved this issue. Their customer support employees tell me they will call me back but never do. They said they will have the refund credited back to my account in 48 hours. That still has not happened and it has been 5 days since I was told that. Trying to get anyone who will do anything to resolve this matter is impossible. I do not suggest anyone to fly with Qatar.

    I have been traveling Qatar for many years now and I had good experience. But last two years I have been traveling, the food was horrible. My family travelled different times, they were really disappointed too. Not sure what they changed but even trying different meals didn't do good. The experience was not good at all.

    Return flight was cancelled in Oct 2024 from COK to Doha. I was flying return in business class. They rebooked in Air India which didn't have flat bed. Later customer service guaranteed full refund on call and cancelled my return ticket. I had to book in a separate flight that has flat bed and traveled back to USA. I have medical problems hence needed a flat bed then. This was informed to Qatar Airways customer service. After multiple follow ups via different channel they refuse to refund my money now. I lost $2000 dollars because of their last minute flight cancellation. Nothing my fault.

    They have bad food, always got me wrong food. When I told them I need a chicken and beef and they got me different food like I don’t understand why but they asked me what I need, chicken or beef, they got me different food. It’s not beef or chicken, it’s different food and tv screen is broken and seats are broken and bad customer service and they always be rude, just let y'all know don’t go to Qatar. Everyone is rude and try ask your life story information when you in Qatar airport and outside they don’t like who has ** citizenship and Qatar is bad country, no respect for human and rights, they never give me a meals, nothing else like that I hope.

    My wife bought tickets and completed seats assignment via Qatar Airways online app, and received confirmation but no boarding passes were issued. The app told us to get our boarding passes from Dubai airport checkin counter. When we get to the checking counter 3/25/25 at Dubai airport, we were told that we had to pay extra more than USD$420 to keep our seats that were confirmed. This to me is like we are watching my newly purchased TV, then suddenly we are told by the merchant that we have to pay hefty extra to keep our TV. It's a pure rip off that you need to watch out for when you book your flights with Qatar Airways.

    Qatar Airways recently committed fraud and scam on my cancelled trip ticket refund transaction. This company is a complete bogus entity filled with con artists and liars. Chaos and uncontrolled anarchy is one of their corporate cultures. Stay away from this company. Extremely rude staff/cabin crew during my flight of September 2024. Moreover there are few oversales and cancelled trip compensation refunds that are past due by these liars.

    I booked the two-way economy ticket for my parents from Ahmedabad to Miami. I lost my father in US so, I cancelled his and my mother return ticket. I was told that Qatar Airways will not charge for cancellation due to the circumstances. After being patient for about 5 months and after continuous follow up, I was told that We spent about 72% of the total price in one way ticket. Their customer service is a joke and give you all silly excuses. I lost almost 500 USD. They first told me that one way from Ahmedabad to Miami was costlier and then told me that it was economy plus. I checked the fares one way and two way before booking the flight and it was the same. I also bought economy ticket for two way and it was clearly written on the ticket. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER travel with Qatar Airways.

    There was a very unpleasant situation during check-in. We had overloaded luggage, during check-in, and in order not to pay for the overload, we were given the choice to distribute the weight. We literally left the check-in, and at the same moment decided to pay for the overload. But the Qatar representative stopped us and asked us to go back to the long line that moving extremely slow. She saw us and did not allow us to return to the check-in desk, saying that we should go back to the line again.

    We went back and watched. After us, there were other similar situations where people were given the opportunity to distribute the overloaded luggage. And after us, people returned to the check-in desk, they didn't stand in line as we did. This queer representative just demonstratively turned her head away, pretending not to see that they are going straight without going back to the line. She also insulted us by saying that if we were cannot standing in line, why were we even flying. Who the hell she is to tell us what to do.

    I have been ripped off by the customer service. I bought a business class ticket, and due to my health, I called to change the flight. The customer service representative told me that it would be too expensive to change the date and that I would be better off canceling the flight to get a refund. I asked how much I would get back, and he said I would receive whatever amount I paid minus a deduction of $289.00. I agreed to cancel the ticket, but then I saw the refund was only $69.00. My question is, who can cancel their business class ticket for just $69.00 when it cost nearly $6,000.00? The customer Service Rep misguided me. I have been calling back and forth for 2 months, but because they gave me a refund of 69.00, they said they couldn't help me.

    I enjoyed the flights itself but I got the credit card and signed up so I would have lounge access and the experience was not good. My husband and I were flying all day and went to relax at the lounge where it was over full. No places to sit so out. On exhaustion we sit in the far corner on the floor. Where we got informed we can’t do that. I then expressed there are no places to sit. He then told me to, "'Go the desk to see about upgrading you to another area". The guy at the front desk was rude and super unhelpful. He pretty much said, "You’re out of luck". This was my first time using the lounge and was super excited for it. Horrible. Don’t waste your time getting the card.

    Worst airline in industry, customer services quality can observe from checked in counter, I paid top dollar from Atlanta to Ahmedabad and they are so crazy that they don’t allow backpacks with hand bags only 7 kg total. They Audits twice one at checked in counter and 2 times before you board plane. I never recommend any one to use this bogus airline. I recommend Turkey airlines is best in service and handbag allowance. Currently direct flights monopoly of this airline. We are waiting for Etihad or other airlines to start from Atlanta to Ahmedabad. Delta crazy blocking others to keep their monopoly also. I prefer always Turkey airlines.     First and now last time I will ever use this airline -- I strongly suggest to others you avoid them as well. In summary, they canceled my flight home with zero warning and zero help rescheduling to actually get home, they cost me a hotel reservation fee, their staff stole a $300 pair of motorcycle gloves out of my checked luggage, and the worst part of all is they absolutely refuse to even communicate about these issues. I write this because I am finally sick of being blown off and ignored by this terrible company.

    I bought my $1500 ticket because I was led to believe through advertising (my mistake for believing industry ad junk) that they're supposed to be "one of the best airlines in the world." Nothing could be further from the truth in my experience. They simply canceled my return flight home with zero explanation and zero offer of help rescheduling. At all. The only possible replacement flight I could get was over 4 days later, which cost me a lot of extra $ and missed work. And as a result I lost my hotel reservation for the extremely long required layover. Then they said I would get a hotel voucher when I arrived; this was a lie. I spent 3 hours being sent back and forth between 2 airport desks where all they said is "too bad, nothing is available." They actually said "vouchers are reserved for customers with long delays" so evidently they don't consider *4 days* to be an actual LONG DELAY.

    Then when I arrived in SFO they had opened one of my bags and left it open on the luggage belt. No explanation whatsoever. They put my open luggage inside a larger plastic bag for no apparent reason since that plastic bag was also wide open. Someone either removed an expensive pair of motorcycle gloves from my bag or they fell out. I wanted to believe this could have been an accident somehow, but what are the odds of a matched pair of expensive gloves both being the only things that "fell out"??? None; they were stolen. I immediately asked a Qatar staff person in the baggage area what to do and how to report it. I specifically did exactly as he instructed me to do, which was go home and submit the online form. This became the next lie.

    They never responded. I followed up via WhatsApp chat per their instructions. No one ever answered the first session at all, they just ignored me for an hour. I started over again. Then they said my claim was rejected since I used the wrong form. They do not care that I used exactly the form their staff instructed me to. Then they followed up by saying (now that they had ignored me for weeks) that it was too late to submit a different form: too bad, we stole your possessions, nothing you can do about it. They tried to say I should file a "damaged bag claim" instead -- my baggage was not damaged in any way, simply opened and left open with no explanation ever.

    I have continued to call, email, and attempt to "chat" -- it has now been over 3 months. One person called once from a foreign number and said "they are working on it." This was while I was asleep in US hours, and it is impossible to call that number back. That was a month and a half ago. All I get every time I call is someone with such a heavy accent they are difficult to even understand saying they'll escalate. This is never true. They have not returned any other calls or messages. I have had other poor airline experiences but I've never experienced such shameless lying and theft from my luggage combined with ZERO respect, communication, or customer service response. I will never spend another dime with them again and I would advise no one else to either.

    Qatar Airways' Appalling Customer Service - A Disgrace to Their Reputation. I am beyond disappointed with Qatar Airways' utter lack of professionalism, care, and basic customer service, especially their airport staff in Nairobi. The entire ordeal my family and I endured highlights gross negligence, incompetence, and a complete disregard for customer support.

    The Issue: Qatar Airways' Failure to Assist. My son, who was travelling as an approved Solo Traveler, was denied boarding in Nairobi despite my confirmed presence in Doha. The reason? The Qatar Airways staff at Nairobi airport refused to verify my itinerary—even when provided with all necessary details, including my Qatar Airways-issued booking reference, my British Airways boarding passes, and even direct approval from Qatar Airways' office in Doha for my son to travel. Their claim that they could not verify my travel plans despite my being able to see everything clearly in the Qatar Airways app is beyond absurd.

    The Inexcusable Behavior of Qatar Airways Staff:

    They refused to check my reservation despite all OneWorld airlines (AA, BA, and QR) being partners, meaning they had full access to my booking details.
    They demanded to see boarding passes that were never a requirement for my son's travel approval.
    They disregarded all supporting documents and proof I provided and insisted on their arbitrary requirements.
    They refused to assist in resolving the issue, pushing my son’s mother to rebook a flight unnecessarily.
    They caused financial loss by forcing me to spend an additional $650 for rebooking, which was completely avoidable.

    In their follow-up email, they provided inaccurate and misleading responses, falsely claiming a lack of communication. I was already airborne on my way to Doha, making communication impossible.

    Qatar Airways' Shameful Customer Service Response. After raising this issue with Qatar Airways, their response was not just dismissive but outright dishonest. Their reply completely ignored the facts and blamed my family for their incompetence. They failed to take responsibility for their staff’s failure to assist, verify a booking, or apply common sense. This experience is a complete betrayal of Qatar Airways' claim to be the so-called “World’s Best Airline.” The way they handled this matter reflects a serious lack of training, accountability, and commitment to customer satisfaction. I have flown globally with numerous airlines, and never have I encountered such a frustrating and shameful lack of customer service.

    Demand for Accountability. I demand a full reimbursement of the $650 I was forced to pay due to Qatar Airways' negligence. If Qatar Airways refuses to do so, I will pursue legal action and escalate this issue through aviation consumer protection authorities, travel advisory platforms, and social media. Final Verdict: Avoid Qatar Airways. If Qatar Airways treats passengers this way even when they have done everything right, I cannot in good conscience recommend this airline to anyone. Their customer service is unreliable, unhelpful, and incapable of handling even simple booking verifications. Qatar Airways—you need to do better. Your reputation is at stake, and your so-called “customer satisfaction” mission statement is empty words.

    Qatar Airways is a rip off.. My mother and nephew bought a ticket and for a medical emergency they couldn’t travel so they cancelled the ticket. My mother paid $1120 for both of them and they only refunded $167 which is straight up high way robbery as you can see in the pictures below what she paid and what QATAR AIRWAYS refunded back to her. My whole family uses QATAR AIRWAYS but not anymore. We are like over 500 family members. I’m going to ask all them to leave a review.

    I purchased a business class with Qatar Airlines and had to cancel my trip due to middle turmoil and they told me, I could change my ticket to an open ticket and I can use it within a year, the only thing I had to do was to pay the fare difference. When I checked online the fair was about a $1000 lower, but when I tried to rebook my flight, not only that they were not going to honor the new price since it was lower (they said online price is lower but booking price is even $100 higher) then I was told that I had to pay $800 for rebooking fee (not an small change). I liked this airline, if you don't make any changes, otherwise they will get you as much as they can. Then I tried to cancel and get a refund. Guess what, the cancelation fee is $1000 then a ticket that would of cost me $4700 today, I had to pay over $7000. Just wanted to tell you about my experience with this airline.

    I booked my flight with Qatar Airways in 2022 from Miami USA but for some reason I had to delay my trip. When I called support they gave me an option to either refund or take a voucher which I opted to go for a voucher. They issued me a voucher for two years. You have up to two year to use the voucher from its date of issue*. But when I tried to book my ticket and use the voucher it stated that voucher was only valid for one year. Now again if you want refund then it will -10% of you total value. Now at this point I was sick and tired of going back and forth with them and I said ok, you can deduct 10% of total value and refund the rest. They gave me ref # **.

    This was mid October 2024 and now today when I called them again for the 8th time because I did not receive any refund, they said oh if I want refund then it will be $300 plus some amount deducted for cancelation fee and I will be refunded only some $100 plus. I have a nodule in my vocal cord and being treated for that and should not be talking on phone for this long but I had to. This is a fraud and rip off by Qatar Airways. I am thinking of taking a legal action against Qatar Airways. Any thought/suggestions? Regards.

    Several bad things happened and I spoke to my Qatar Airways representatives, but they referred me to a customer service email that took several weeks to respond: First, I booked comfort for about $70 extra. Then I booked a private seat for $62 extra. When I got to the departure desk, they changed my seat from 22a to 15 in the boarding and told me that it was a mistake by Qatar Airways and that by contacting this email they would refund the extra money. Also, the onboard service was normal, same to others, no it’s a fraud to pay more for better service. Second, one of my bags arrived broken. I attached photos of the booking and the bag. But their email response was that you will not get a refund for the extra services and they are free to do whatever they want (I have their email). One of the worst experiences.

    Hi All, I am trying to be sincere in my view of both on board and airport staff dealings with passengers. I have travelled from Cochin to RDU international airport in North Carolina, USA. The onboard staff kept us comfortable to the extent possible with their nature and meals. This is not what you experience at the Cochin airport! The staff deserve no place in customer satisfaction. They are waiting to jump on you with their rogue nature to squeeze revenue to their employers, Qatar airlines. Trying to nab you for every bit of chances. Money..money and money is all what they are focusing giving no room for genuine reasons. They have charged every passengers for the cabin baggages exorbitantly. Many of them carrying life saving medicines needed to be used during long haul connection flights. For this reason, I do not recommend Qatar Airways specifically operating from Cochin airport.

    I had booked a flight from Mumbai to Boston for myself and my wife. I had booked literally 2 months ago. When we had a situation, so had to change plans. So we decided to get travel credits. They had applied some-kind of processing fees. After some time I decided to encash my travel credits, as my travel plans were not possible within one year from that. They still apply another fees as cancellation.

    So here is cost breakdown for 2 travellers. Mumbai to Boston:
    Booking prices: INR 113356
    Travel Credit Amount: INR 90026 (processing fees: 23330)

    After Encashing: INR 65130 (Cancellation Fees: 24896)

    Response from the customer support representative: "We provide Premium services. We have some fare rules like every company does. You should book tickets with Economy+ which provides no fees for changes." I had booked with Emirates before. Even they provide premium services. But they don't charge these ridiculously high fees. I literally paid 48000 INR in fees which is equivalent to 600 USD. Never going to recommend anybody to travel with Qatar Airways.

    On Nov 25th around 6:30 pm my sister (she was next to me) called customer service to change my flight because I received an email regarding my flight has been changed to another time and gave me an option to refund or change the flight. Calling the customer service to help me through that. I talked to the lady Aswajhy. Unfortunately, she not even helped me but also she confirmed my flight on her own decision however she was told that since she didn't change the flight don't make any changes. When I went to explore my options on my own I checked the website and I saw that my flight which was pending, changed to confirmed. My sister and I immediately called to fix it but the new agent (Fardeen) indirectly called my sister liar.

    Also, when we want to change the flight we always have to change it into the same class otherwise we have to pay a lot money, but when the airline change the flight, they don't care and my flight changed from class V to class M. My family and I always chose this airline because of awful customer service experience this time (we also had some other bad experiences in the past but always ignore it) they just lose us. Hope this review help other passengers to not choosing this airline to experience better flight with other airlines.

    This morning I was a passenger from Cochin/Doha/San Francisco/Phoenix by Qatar Airways and American flight from Cochin to Doha boarded and landed in Doha international airport. As usual the aero bridge system was not there. They transferred passengers by bus almost 400 to 500 passengers from different countries. They can hardly walk to the escalator. They have a special security check for all arriving passengers. It’s like one thousand people coming to a a murky place. Who gave this airline five stars review? They treat the passengers same like slaves. This is my 4th security check. Removed belt laptop and underwear. Have no idea why public choose this types of below average behavior. Moreover they have not enough toilet to accommodate the passengers. I tried 3 places and no hope. People must think twice before they make decisions to travel Qatar Airways and Doha during morning hours.

    I am deeply disappointed with my experience with this airline and will never book with them again. I booked a flight on September 17 with a return date of November 9. Without any explanation, my return ticket was canceled. The only alternative date they offered was December 1, which is utterly unacceptable. The refund they proposed would not cover the cost of a return ticket with another airline.

    Despite calling multiple times, I received no satisfactory answers. For an airline that prides itself on being award-winning, this treatment is unacceptable. They left me stranded in a foreign country without considering my financial situation or survival. Additionally, they didn't offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

    I booked a flight with Qatar Airways for the first time, and I will never make that mistake again! 1) Booking was a bit frustrating, because you cannot view available seats on their site, prior to paying (most airlines let you view available seats before paying). I wanted to make sure window seats were available at no extra charge, but it was not possible to check before paying.

    2) I paid extra for the Convenience fare - in part, because it allows for two free flight changes. However, when I decided to change one of my flight dates (over 3 months prior to departure), the app would not allow me to change the date - stating that there was an “system error” and to “try again after some time.” So, I tried to make the flight change online from my laptop, but this time, the QA website said there were “no flights available” for that date. (I knew this to be untrue because, when I did a separate search for a new booking, QA showed 7 seats available in the date/time I wanted, for the same class of flight as my original booking). So, after multiple failed attempts on the app and website, I called QA, and the representative confirmed that there were flights available for the date/time I was requesting.

    However, the QA representative said they would charge me an additional $35 service fee to change the flight on the phone (paying QA for the employee assistance). The representative said I would not be charged an additional service fee if I changed the flight on the app or online. I decided to keep trying to change the flight online - since after all, I had specifically paid extra for the Convenience class, so I that could make changes for free. However, the problems with the app and the website continued (same messages every time).

    Each time I logged in and/or tried to change my flight, QA sent a two-factor OTP code to verify it was me. No problem, I initially thought. However, after multiple logins and attempts to change the flight date, the entire system locked me out for 24 hrs - saying I had reached my OTP limit. Unbelievable. So, now I could not even log into my account. I waited 24 hrs, and I tried again. Still the same issues with the system not allowing me to change my flight. So, I called QA again. I asked if, given the system issues regarding changing my flight on the app and on the website, they would waive the $35 service fee and make a free change via customer service. She said to try several steps (clearing cache and cookies, etc.), and try again online. I hung up the phone and tried these steps, carefully following her instructions. No change. Same messages on the QA website.

    I called QA a 3rd time, and I explained that for 2 days I had spent hours trying to change my flight, and I asked if he could change the flight without an extra $35 service fee for the call. He said, no, that he was required to charge me the extra fee if I make a change over the phone. I just decided to swallow the cost and change it over the phone - since the app and website would not allow me to change the date. The representative began making the changes, with my permission, but he could not get the change to go through - although he showed flights available for the return date I was requesting changed. After 3 hrs of talking to him and him not being able to change it, I was weary of all the wasted time and headaches, and I told him not to change anything. That this had become way too much trouble. That I really wished I could have a refund.

    When he tried to erase the change, the system would not allow him to return to my original booking, either. So, he got permission to just issue me a refund to my credit card. I subsequently booked my flight through a different airline. I will NEVER book through QA again. They have nice people, but a horribly flawed booking system. Not worth all the headache, time, and extra fees.

    Pointless call centre, non existent customer service. Qatar Airways has built impressive infrastructure and fleet, but it becomes pointless if their customer care is hopeless as it is now. In other words, it is fine as long as you buy their service at their asking price and have no circumstance (including by Qatar airways!) where you need to ask for their support. In short it is what I call a 'quer sera sera, no guarantee' airline.

    Here is my story, I booked business class KTM-DOHA-LON and back, just 2 days before my flight back from London was due I get a message stating they have cancelled my connecting flight from Doha to KTM (no worries there) and replaced it with a flight next morning, introducing a 10 hour layover. Least I expect them to do is provide transit accommodation in Doha, when they they chose to put me through the unwanted 10 hour layover. They don't.

    I am asked to land in Doha and try my luck with the transfer desk, I am not amused by the thought of running around for accommodation past midnight when my flight lands. I call them, chat with them, my agent in KTM files a request, my travel agent sends a mail, and I filed a formal complaint. Nothing... Do I really want to spend money on an airlines like this? I don't think so, time to shift my travel hub from Qatar to Dubai I guess... I will update here again on how long they take to action my complaint and what I hear...

    On October 18, 2024 I was charged $317 us dollar at Nairobi airport for extra 5Kg extra handbag weight. The agent refused to let me adjust weight, refused to accept cash, debut card or credit card. The agent connected me to a Somalian agent to pay in Kenyan currency and charged $67 for doing the transaction. I have claimed to get refunded and no solution until I write this review.     The airlines and crew are great! However, if your flight is delayed or you have to change due to any circumstance, the customer service teams provides no help. They keep reading the policies to you over and over and never really listen to what one has to say. My family and I have been flying Qatar Airways for about 10 years now, 2-3 flights each year but the customer service after COVID-19 has gone way downhill. I will try my best to avoid this airlines from now on as it is costing me a lot as they try to recover their business from COVID-19 by adding many fees.

    Absolutely disgusting airline. On my flight from Qatar to Atlanta on August 23rd, we were made to wait for 9 hrs in an icy cold airport as there were some technical issues in the plane. Then after boarding they made us wait for an 2 hours only to tell us to get off the plane because the issue was still not resolved. Later by late afternoon they sent us to a hotel and gave us boarding passes for the next flight leaving at 7:50am. In the middle of the night (without my knowledge) they rescheduled it for 4:30 am. I get a call at 4:25 that my flight was leaving for Atlanta. I was left alone in a foreign country with no luggage & a daughter to take care of.

    I rushed to the airport to ask the customer service only to be greeted by rude & incompetent staff . They were literally frustrating. They told me they’ll book a flight to Montreal and I should go from there. Montreal is 8 hrs drive from where I live. I'm dumbfounded dat how they can treat a sick woman on a wheel with such lack of empathy and respect. Sorry Qatar but you are worst than a cheap dupe of Dubai & Emirates airline.     We flew with Qatar Airways in July 2022 and encountered a series of issues, including a delayed connecting flight, missing baggage, and an overall ruined trip. After nearly two years, one of our bags is still missing, and Qatar's customer service has been extremely unresponsive. Despite numerous follow-ups, they have not provided any compensation for the lost baggage, leaving us frustrated and with wasted time and money.     Qatar is having worst policy for carry on luggage, they are very strict on and allowed only 7 kg and not allowed additional laptop bag, they asked to pay $255 for carry on baggage to check in if you have laptop or shoulder bag. It is worst policy and are looking all possible ways to charge more on passengers.

    I had bad experience with Qatar airways. I paid 10K INR for extra leg room at emergency exit but unfortunately due to sudden injury before the journey I had to opt for wheel chair assistance. I was informed that I cannot get that seat at emergency exit because I opted for wheel chair assistance. I totally understand and agree to that. They changed my seat and I am fine with that too. But they didn’t refund the amount I paid for extra legroom though I didn’t sit in that seat. I asked help desk at airport and assured me that I will be refunded. I drafted emails and followed up many times but I ended without getting my money back. All the money I paid for extra legroom went vain.

    Their service is very, very poor, lies and making dramas. If there is something wrong with flight they just never gonna guide you that the flight will fly after 24 hour means next day, they just keep saying, "We will tell you in 2-3 hours" etc. Well we missed our next flight because of Qatar and Qatar didn't gave us no refund or discount for next flight which was domestic flight. Please pay few extra money on different flights but don't use Qatar.

    Qatar Airways is the worst when it comes to customer support. I missed my flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Lagos via DOHA and tried to rebook the tickets. While rebooking, the attendant (Fatima) and the manager (James) were so rude. It took almost 4 hours to rebook another flight which cost me $469 extra. On my way back from Lagos, my flight was scheduled to depart at 11:35am after check in. I was at the until 6pm because of a technical issue. My baggage was returned to me and I was told that there is no other flight until the next 4 days. This is my worst experience flying. If you ever thought about booking Qatar Airways, please think twice and DON'T EVER book with Qatar Airways. I wouldn't recommend.

    Qatar airways is the worst with worst customer support. We missed out flight and tried to rebook the tickets. While rebooking they messed up my husband's return ticket. Which took almost 4h. At that time I was in India and been on call for 4h. It was 5:30 am in the morning. They called me back at 6am while I was trying to get back to sleep. I told them I will call back as I was up all night and was really tired as I need to coordinate both with my husband in Usa and them. When called back they said we need to investigate the issue and made us wait for more than a week. Then they said we mentioned we don't want the ticket and asking us to buy a ticket which is almost 1800$ approximately just for one way. They tortured us keeping us on long calls and asking us to wait and finally asking is to pay again for their mistake. My husband travelled for the wedding and they messed up all the time and mood. Never travel to india through Qatar airways.

    Flew with Qatar Airways back in May 2024 from Orlando Fl to Moscow Russia to visit my family whom I haven’t seen for years. Upon my arrival to Moscow, I got all my baggage damaged and of course, some of my belongings and gifts were affected and became useless. I contacted the arrival desk's customer service, and they got me a damage report. My vacation was ruined because my family got no gifts and I could not give them damaged items.

    I called and emailed customer service about 55 times responding to pieces of information that they requested and pictures. After 3 months of waiting they got back to me with compensation of $60 for my suffering and my damages that exceeded $2700 can you believe that? Qatar ticket wasn’t cheap for a family of 5 to travel and definitely, I was expecting better treatment than that. I want to rate this company less than one star if I could. Don't fly with Qatar Airways.

    Qatar airlines is by far the worst. My flight was first delayed and then canceled. I was trying to get to South Africa. Due to “operational “issues. The replacement flight cost me an additional $20,000 to get where I needed to go. My travel insurance only reimbursed $2000. Never ever ever fly Qatar.

    I have been flying Qatar since 2015 and I never expected this behavior. On my flight from Doha to Kathmandu, the gate attendant urged to check in my hand luggage stating it was a full flight. I was already exhausted from a 15 hrs long flight from Dallas to Doha and could not think straight and just handed over my bag. I realized mid air that I had some cash in the bag but I was not too worried because Qatar seems to have a good reputation. However when I got home, my luggage was opened, cash envelope torn and $1200 were missing.

    I immediately went on their website and filed a complaint, shared pictures and provided every possible detail they asked for. A month later, I still had not received a response. But yesterday, I receive an email from their local office stating that they did not find any evidence of my bag being tempered. No one has responded to my request for video clips of when the bag arrived in Nepal. This is beyond deceiving. Never using Qatar again.

    Me and my family were travelling from Doha to Atlanta on July 28th QR755, during our flight we came across one of the flight crew by name Mr. **.. He was one of kind gentleman doing his job in a exceptionally very well.. He was so kind and patiently talking to the passengers and addressing them in very polite manner through out the journey .. People like him are like gem to the company.. Kudos to Mr. ** and his entire team of Qatar.. Thank you once again Mr. ** for your service. It was our pleasure travelling via Qatar.

    I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Qatar Airways that I feel compelled to share. This review highlights the severe unprofessionalism and lack of customer care I encountered, particularly from Evelin, the manager of the Umm Ghwelina branch.

    Unannounced Flight Cancellation. My $2200 return flight to Houston was abruptly canceled without any prior notification or apology from Qatar Airways. I discovered this shocking news only when I arrived at the airport, expecting to board my scheduled flight. The complete absence of communication was unacceptable and added unnecessary stress to an already stressful travel situation.

    Inadequate Customer Support and Rebooking Issues. When I called to check on alternative arrangements, I was informed that the next available flight was four days away due to all flights being fully booked. Qatar Airways made no effort to prioritize passengers whose flights had been canceled, nor could they provide me with the same seat I had initially booked. This lack of consideration and poor management of flight schedules was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

    Stranded in Doha with No Compensation. As a result, I am stuck in Doha for three additional nights, incurring expenses well beyond my budget. Despite explaining my situation repeatedly to the office manager, Evelin, at the Umm Ghwelina branch, she offered no apology, empathy, or compensation. Instead, she simply smiled in my face, displaying a blatant disregard for my frustration and the inconvenience caused. There was no reimbursement for my troubles or the extra costs I incurred, and no one took accountability for this total fiasco.

    This experience has made it clear to me that Qatar Airways has no respect for their customers (maybe because I’m flying economy and they only care about their Business Class status). The lack of communication, inadequate support, and unprofessional behavior of their staff, especially Evelin, were inexcusable. From now on, I will always fly Emirates to avoid experiencing such a horrible nightmare again with Qatar Airways. My flight is now scheduled for tomorrow morning (and they made sure that I realise it’s not even guaranteed) and I will write up a follow-up review on how it went.

    Be aware and stay away from Qatar Airways. I just came back from my holiday trip and they was horrible with everything delayed, check-in, customer service and food. They care only how to get you in with a lot of money and after they don’t care I was traveling with my 2 kids for first time with this trash airline and it’s going to be last. They turned my holiday off to a nightmare. I been delayed for 3 days. I missed my family case I was going to and I’m my way back I surprised that my flight was with American Airlines.

    I paid to Qatar extra money and I ended up 13 hours of my trip the plane was American Airlines and the crew also, I could get myself tickets with American Airline for cheaper that was horrible...so I’m sharing this with you to be careful when you book with this airline. They are scammers and I don’t know how they have 4 stars they not deserve one also. Be careful guys and don’t lost your money like what happened with me. I spent $5000 for 1 adult and 2 kids, look what I got from them.

    Before you ask for wheelchair in Montreal from Qatar Airlines, please note it is Chaotic, unorganised, callous and unprofessional. My elderly mother on a wheel chair was taking QR 764 flight with my brother on the 2nd of June 2024, we arrived 4 hours earlier with an online check in, we were sent to wait for the wheelchair agent, there were several people waiting and several arriving afterwards but no sign of any agent or whatsoever, after one and a half hour wait I started asking questions, the reply was a spot face, "we are calling you someone" but no hesitation even to pretend calling, literally after 2 and a half hour wait I go to the counter 596 and ask for help, the guy rudely responded the wheelchair service was for all airlines but he would call still no call no sign.

    There was literally 40 minutes left to board the plane, the same guy comes in panic and ask questions, almost all the crippled and aged people now on a full panic swing rush to security, a couple of agents appears to push some wheelchairs, my mom's included. Only to abandon at security check, my brother pushing the wheel chair and holding both his and my mom's carry on is a picture of total failure regarding customer service of QR. I understand issues but management is the name which is profoundly missing at this airline. No respect for people with or without a problem, their image is in name only, it is not only me but everyone there on the 2nd of June will confirm that!!!

    I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the checking crew of Qatar Airways company in Marrakech airport and I must say, it was an absolutely terrible experience. Not only did I have to wait on hold for an excessive amount of time, the manager of crew who name Rachid, was rude and unhelpful. They didn't even attempt to comprehend the issue at hand, and he threatened that he will make me miss my flight if I don’t tip him, I left the Marrakech feeling undervalued and frustrated. It's a shame that such a large company, with a reputation to uphold, can't treat their customers with more respect and care. Needless to say. I certainly will not be flying with them again in the future.

    The most horrible airline is Qatar Airways. They do not even have customer service and the free calls get transfer to India. I was trying to travel to Iran on April 17, 2024 with my family and the tense war happened between Iran and Israel exactly around the same time. Even Iran airport got closed for few days. That was my only time available to travel and I had to cancel my tickets and they deducted cancellation fee of 960 dollars plus they did not refund my seat pre purchase for 234 dollars. The customer service always answered me was a guy from India any time I called. I sent complaint email but not even responding to my email to say no to me. Very bad airline. Do not use it and please tell your friends and family too. I wonder a rich ** airline with an ** CEO that does not have idea how to run airline with zero customer service.

    I bought a ticket from Qatar Airways to fly from Vancouver to Tehran, it had two stops one in Seattle and one in Doha, the flight from Vancouver to Seattle was delayed and I got to Seattle 10 minutes before departure, the agents said the gate is closed and they can’t let any of 30 people to get on, they didn’t get any information from any of those who missed the flight, they kept saying their nonsense statement that, “You were late, we cooperate with Alaska, they caused this delay and you have to go to Alaska."

    They said Qatar Airways is not responsible to find the next flight if you want to go with another airline earlier, they can see for the next flight if there is a room and it is first come first serve, also they are responsible to cover or provide the accommodation and customer should take care of themselves, there was no empathy, no proper communication and customer service, I never ever never fly with Qatar Airways because they don’t know how to deal with unexpected issues and situations and to me they are not trustworthy anymore and don’t recommend to fly with Qatar Airways.

    I flew from Montreal to Dhaka. One of my luggage didn’t come. After filing a complaint I was given a number to check the status. The local office hardly picks up the phone. Even trying to contact the Qatar Airways official site is a nightmare. At this point, I'm unsure if I will get my luggage back. Compensation for lost luggages should be made higher so the airlines start taking care of passengers' bags.

    I was impressed by 5 star Qatar airways and it’s highly standard reputation but all this changed today on my flight from Los Angeles to Kuwait Flight # 740 April 27. I’m extremely disappointed with Qatar airways. I was traveling on April 27 and was delayed at LAX for 4 hours and another delayed In Doha for another 8 hours. We were not offered any type of compensation for the extreme delays of the inconvenience. Not only I will never fly on Qatar airways again but also will share my bad experience with all my friends and network that should fly on the Emirates. More efficient and professional.

    I travelled with my wife and my infant who was just 11 months old. We were traveling all the way from USA to Sri Lanka. It was a 25 hour journey. SEA to DOH is the longest leg and which is 14+ hours long. We booked seats where the bassinet is accessible as it would be really helpful for a comfortable journey with a kid. But unfortunately due to many reasons (booking website, Incident handling, People behavior) we were not able to use a bassinet. So for 14 crazy hours we had to hold the baby continuously, It was a super frustrating experience and I would rather double check about booking with Qatar again.

    We couldn't finish our trip because of their mismanagement, and were sent back to our origin. Spent 52 hours in airplanes and airports. Didn't get our luggages in the origin after waiting for 3 hours. No one reached out to fix the issue afterward. l've called multiple times, every time they say call in 24 hours, no responses yet. The whole trip just left us exhausted, overwhelmed and sick. Will never fly with them again.

    We always pick “flexibility to make one change” whenever we book our flights. With multi-city booking, I was able to change flight to a different date with so much time consumed on the website and phone calls to Qatar customer service. But my daughter who booked multi-city with Qatar airway had gone through hell with changing the date. She wasn’t able to change on the website under “manage booking”.     Had a connected flight from Osaka to Amsterdam through Doha. As the stopover duration exceeds 8 hours, I applied for a hotel voucher guaranteed by Qatar Airways. After two reminders got a confirmation from them by email. However on my arrival to Doha, the company refused to provide the hotel room after 90 min of waiting!!! The food on board was also quite mediocre. Definitely not worth it, comparing to the ticket by competitors. 1/10, my last trip using your services.

    I had a terrible experience with this airlines today. If you are a non Qatari and if you are being seated with Qatari people then be careful because if in any case of issues the staff will not support us even though I am a gold member. One Qatari lady was forcing me to give my seat to her and in the end due to the disturbances I gave up my window seat. At the moment I left my seat the lady seating near me started shouting that I verbally abused her and during the entire flight the staffs were only supporting her. I gave up my nice seat and had to deal with her shouting and yelling.

    When the flight landed security and police came and questioned us and the lady was saying all sorts of lies and demanded a sorry from me. As I was on the way to Berlin to see my kids and spend Easter together I was forced to say so.,, Shame on you Qatar Airways. You are the worst airlines I have ever travelled. Today you are losing a precious customer like me. I will never ever travel with you. You have to train your flight attendants well. In case of such an issue you have to make sit the passenger in distress in the first class where almost all seats are empty. I have seen that in many airlines. When I deboarded the flight I asked the airhostess she said they don't have the authority to do so. My next joinery from Doha to Berlin is in business class. The complaining lady was yelling that you won't leave Doha you won't board the next flight... What kind of justice is this???

    I am deeply shattered and angry so if you are travelling with this airlines be careful because the staff won't support you, you have to fight your own!! I feel sad for another passenger on the same row who was forced to go back. He is a European and I am sure he won’t travel in this airline again. I can see the downfall of this airline in future

    I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience with Qatar Airways. Their incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction have left me deeply dissatisfied and vowing never to use their services again. My journey with Qatar Airways involved a Via Rail train leg and connecting flights, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the onset, there were glaring issues with my booking, including a critical error in my boarding pass that led to denial of boarding by Via Rail. Despite providing accurate information, Qatar Airways' system generated a pass for the wrong date, causing chaos and inconvenience.

    Furthermore, there was a discrepancy in luggage allowance between Qatar Airways and Via Rail, adding further stress to an already frustrating situation. Despite repeated assurances from Qatar Airways, their promises of resolving the issue within 48 hours turned out to be empty words. I contacted them immediately, and despite being promised callbacks, I was left waiting for over a week without any response.

    The lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by Qatar Airways is appalling. Their failure to follow through on their commitments and their habit of making false promises have cost them not only my business but also that of my friends and family. I will make sure to share my harrowing experience with everyone I know to prevent them from falling victim to Qatar Airways' poor service. I urge anyone considering Qatar Airways for their travel needs to think twice. The convenience may seem appealing, but the reality of dealing with their abysmal customer service is far from worth it. Save yourself the headache and frustration and choose a more reliable airline for your journey.

    I traveled to India with a granted tourist visa. Once I arrived in India, I was profiled by the immigration immediately without any questions, the officer took my passport, and left his desk. He came back later to bring me to a place to sit and wait. They plugged a device in my phone and it pulled all the messages out of my phone with the keywords "Jesus", "God", and "Christ". Then the immigration officer interrogated me and told me I was there under false pretenses and should not be under a tourist visa and that it should have been a missionary visa. I told him I was only there to visit. I even had a word document with my itinerary and all the places I was going to visit. He told me that I wasn't being specific and asked where I was staying. I gave him my hotel information and confirmation of stay.

    They had me waiting for two hours, and someone came and it felt very intimidating as he was interrogating me and trying to twist my words and such. They did everything they could to profile me as a missionary, and refused me entry. I explained to them that these messages were to my Christian friends, and my small group at church. I told them I own a business and work 6 days a week. I have a website, store front, and employees to contact to prove this. They then asked me if I was coming to donate to an orphanage. I told them no. He came back later and said I was lying. They didn't believe me, and deported me.

    I had asked them on several occasions the reason, and they told me it was "Undisclosed" or they didn't know. Then they had a Qatar Airlines representative hold me against my consent for 24 hours until the next flight out of there. They had me change my tickets from March 9th to March 1st. All along the way, they were asking me why I was refused entry as the paperwork said undisclosed. This airline did nothing to help me and completely abandoned me. They would not assist me in contacting someone to represent me like a representative from the embassy or an immigration attorney. I had asked several times as I was already granted a visa in which you have to apply before leaving the country, and were not allowed to hold me as I had done nothing wrong.

    They didn't give me any way of defending myself against these accusations and went along with things. I recommend that no one ever uses this airline, and that India is not friendly place for Americans who are Christian or Muslim. I had talked to a few people sitting there and it appears as though they want this to be fully a Hindi nation and are not friendly to outsiders. I felt this personally. I was told to sit down in a chair for 10 hours without any reason.

    As I was sitting there, I had the opportunity to see them do this same thing to others. It was only the Americans that were traveling alone. Buyer Beware! I will never use this airline again. I asked for documentation, and they said it would be given to me when I arrived back in the United States. When I finally arrived, I was given nothing but my passport and boarding passes. The passport doesn't even have a stamp for refusal or anything! It's blank, like I was never there. I believe this airline works with immigration. Stay away from this airline, and INDIA. It is corrupt!

    Qatar is a terrible airline! They will scam you out of money at every corner. Their customer service is a joke. They convinced me that I needed to pay $1500 to add my middle name to my flight, or they wouldn't allow me on the plane. When I got to the airport, they didn't even put my middle name on the ticket and I didn't have any issues. I also paid $2300 to upgrade our seats to business class from Doha to Montreal. Not even an hour into the flight, the seat reclined on its own, pinching my leg. The seat wouldn't stay up the rest of the 13.5 hour flight.

    We had a terrible experience with Qatar Aries as Qatar Airways has contracted American Airlines for flight from Philadelphia to Doha. Being said that, instead of Qatar airplane, our flight was with American Airlines while we deserve the ticket with Qatar Airways. This long flight with these airplane wasn't two nightmare as the airplane seats did not have any space at all for an average person. Who suffered from backache. Also for inbound flight, they changed the policy and didn't let us to take the same items we had from US to Doha's discriminatory regulations?

    Like frequent accounts, air service and crew is impeccable and wonderful. No complaints about the hard or soft products onboard. However, their ground service, particularly baggage, completely besmirch their image. They lost my bag at JFK for an entire week, and when I had to waste a day of my own vacation time to go buy some clothes, they then refuse to fully reimburse me and instead I had to chase and jump through hoops to get any compensation offer from them. In the end, they're citing some policy concerning Brazilian residents... when I'm not even from Brazil.

    They're violating US regulations concerning delayed baggage compensation but seemingly don't care. It has been few months, and I have not gotten anything yet. All this over a couple hundred dollars; it's utterly disgraceful. If you're planning to check a bag or have proper customer service when it's lost, you best look for another airline folks. I'm definitely going to take my business elsewhere, like BA which also messed up my trip in part is way better than this.

    Please read. This has to be the worst airline I’ve ever encountered. I’ve never even had a chance to fly them. They cancelled out flight 30 minutes before boarding from Dulles to New Delhi. No one was at the counter to help us, their customer service line said the wait time was 5 minutes, we spent 2 hrs on the phone. They basically said they’re sorry, moved our flight 3 days, which means we are now missing half of our vacation…Didn’t offer us an upgrade. Also told us that the lounge passes we paid for, we might not be able to use. This airline is horrible and I would try any way possible to use another airline.

    Absolutely horrible airline! Our daughter flew this airline from Boston to China via Doha. They claim she caused some type of disturbance on the first flight and would not let her continue on the second flight to China. They sent her to a medical facility of their choosing in Doha for evaluation. That medical facility evaluated her and cleared her fit for travel. Even with that, the airline refused to allow her to continue on the next leg without a medical monitor. This would have cost us more than $5000 extra US and was not even necessary according to the medical facility they sent her to.

    We ended up having to buy a ticket on another airline for over $1000 to get her the rest of the way from China. This airline not only didn't refund any of the cost of her flights, but has not responded to my customer complaint for almost a year now. They totally ignore the situation and pretend like it never happened. It is totally disgusting! Do not fly with these totally unscrupulous company.

    The worst airline in my 40 years of flying, it was the first flight and will be the last with Qatar Airways. The Qatar Airways app's shows two cabin carry on baggage per passenger, the boarding staff by the name of Seefa said only one allowed. I could not open the apps at that time and the plane is due to take off, I ended up paying $253 for one carry on with "GATE BAG" marking as a checked in bag. Complaints by email were a waste of time, a month so far with no response. It's a carryon bag scam. BEWARE!

    The worst airline service in the world. I booked four tickets, one of them for an infant. When he informed me that there was a special seat for the infant, I was surprised when boarding the plane that there was no seat. When asked about the yacht, one of the employees came. He informed me that he wanted to cancel the special tickets, as I carried the infant for 17 hours. They do not have sufficient experience in the field of passenger service. They do not have any humanity, whether collecting money at any cost or not.

    Vacant seat next to me. Because my sister is too sick and her both legs were swollen.. But the check in staff said the seats are full. But I saw a seat next to our row was empty and one seats were occupied by youngsters and they never sleep or used that seats.. So please consider the passengers. Those who are sick and they need a seat near to a vacant seat.. This time I have a very difficult travel.

    BEST AIRLINE FOR RICH PEOPLE BUT NOT FOR PERSON WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. By law, allowed to carry a dialysis machine but was denied accusing that no request was received. It was their requirement to fill up a MEDIF form and get an approval before you can carry the machine. I’ve sent it multiple times and reached out with them too but still denied it. I have a small purse but is counted as a hand carry already so we have to put that in my bag. Was asked to go back to the end of the line again and when we reached the agent, we were told that if we want to catch our flight, I need to walk because they ran out of wheelchair.

    This is for ground team at DFW airport & for the airways as well. About ground team, most of them, includes the supervisor (the male guy) were not friendly & helpful at all. They couldn't explain clearly what was happening to me. They all should have more training on customer service. In addition, the most terrible thing is their luggage policy for international flights: carry-on luggage is 15lbs limit only; if your carryon luggage is heavier, it's considered as checked and then be charged for $250 - WHAT A BIG SURPRISE - Btw, I saw lots of ppl have to pay this ridiculous price for their "over-weight" carry-on luggages.     I received an email about the upgrade of my flights, and the email never mentioned that the upgrade is ONLY for the second leg of the trip which is only 3:50 hours not the 15.50 HOURS of the first flight. I thought it's great idea to upgrade and pay the fees which is $400, then I have paid the $400, and the upgrade was for only the second flight which is veryyy short trip, I have called the customer service within 10 minutes to refund me the fee, they acted so rude plus they refused to refund me as they said it's nonrefundable.     We just arrived back in the US from traveling from DFW to Male and back. We booked through the American Airlines app but flew Qatar Airways (2 flights) on the way to Male and then on the way back we had a total of 3 flights, only one of which was Qatar. Our experience with Qatar Airways was highly disappointing from the moment of our first contact with Qatar while checking in. We get to the checkin counter 3 hours early and had to wait an hour for someone to arrive in order to check in. This is crazy for international travel. Then we get to the counter and are told we can each only take 1 carry on and only check in ONE bag otherwise it’s $100 extra for each additional checked bag.

    We went through all of our receipts, all of our confirmation emails, all of our travel documents none of which stated anything about this. We could have waived it off as “ok it must be our mistake”. However, every single person in line was unaware of these rules. Families were opening luggage off to the side of the check in area trying to rearrange luggage. We decided to pay the extra $200 and not mess with it. But then we had to stand to the side for 30 minutes for someone to come take our payment. And 7kg for weight on a carryon is absolutely ridiculous. A small carryon size suitcase weighs 4.5kg empty!!! Once on the plane everything was fine but nothing great. We receive much better customer service with American Airlines.

    On the way back, we reduced our luggage down to where we only had to check in 3 bags instead of 4. On the way back only ONE flight was with Qatar and that was a short flight from Male to Doha. The next two flights we flew American Airlines and flew business class. Yet we were STILL charged $100 for the additional bag and were only allowed one carryon on each. That is complete crap when only 1 of our 3 flights were Qatar Airways. And yet again we had to stand aside and wait for 45 minutes for someone to come and take our $100 payment. If we have a choice when it comes to our future travels, at this time we would refrain from using Qatar Airways. We thought it was supposed to be a 5 star airline with great customer service and it was anything but that.

    Worst Airline I have flown, Almost lost a flight at Doha after 9 hrs layover and then gave me the wrong gate. When coming back from Accra I was late for checking my bags and decided to leave my bags with my family in Accra, refused to take me even though I got to the airport more than 1 hour early and put me as no show, but they didn't care. Qatar policy was made to rip their customers off and their staff is trained like that, They are a horrible company. They have trained their staff in Accra to be Nasty and have no empathy, I will never fly qatar airways again even if is free, you have lost a lifelong customer and I hope anyone who reads this will never choose them either!

    Qatar Airlines has exceeded my expectations 90% of the time. I strive to run my own business at such a success level. So I fly so many international airlines because my trips are usually multi-city, and I must use flight agencies that can string together multiple destinations all at once. If it were up to me, I'd fly Qatar exclusively, every time. So Just yesterday I was leaving Moscow, Russia coming home to Indonesia, where I live. A hefty man had a medical emergency on the flight, so we diverted to Kuwait rather than fly straight to Qatar, so many people missed their connecting flights. He needed to be evacuated, you see. (I'd like to add that Qatar is so efficient,  that your layovers in Doha will typically only be 2 hours. My 10 experiences laying over in Doha have concluded this). So yes, we all missed our connecting flights in Doha.

    I saw many people giving the reception desk such a hard time, as if any one person was responsible for this tragedy. I fly internationally 6x per year, and I'm accustomed to unforeseeable acts of God messing up plans. Therefore I approached the counter in a good mood from all the free vodka Qatar served me on the plane. I had some jokes with the ticketing counter, made light of the situation, met some cool Czech dude with his Mexican wife and exchanged WhatsApp contacts, and patiently waited 1 hour while my agent worked out the next quickest flight to Indonesia. Turns out I had to I would have to wait for about 6 hours.

    I asked where the temperedic part of the flooring was so I could lay down while waiting. More laughter, and a ticket was produced. I was seated at the very front of the plane this time, but the surprise had yet to be revealed...

    Flight time comes, and the agent bumped me to first class. Wow! I could never afford that on my own, but i soaked up all 9 hours of that experience. You know who did not get bumped up to first class? All the people who were in the queue with me, making a fuss. I saw them all back in economy, because they were all on their way to Bali with me. So I suppose the moral of the story is, you get what you give--- and Qatar has given me 10 excellent flights, with only one being uncomfortable. As I said in the beginning, 90% awesome. 4.5* all the way!!!

    This was by far the worst airline that I have ever flown with. Even after I made it to the original flight at final boarding time by running through the airport (due to Qatar Airways late flight), the staff had already bounced everyone to the "next flight" is what I was told. I asked whether they could accommodate me since I had still arrived by final boarding time but they still said I had to wait for the "next flight" (which, at the time I assumed was merely a few hours later). So first off, I was already irritated since they could have just fit me in and made an exception since I had arrived there while I could visibly see some people in front of me still boarding. But, since I am a pretty easygoing guy I thought I will just get the next flight a few hours later.

    Only later when I went to the next counter was I told the delay was a day! Yeah, a full 24 hours later so I was basically stuck at the airport this whole time and they could not even accommodate me in one of their lounges. If I knew the delay would have been so long, I would have argued with the staff more at the check-in gate instead of being polite. To top it all off, I was compensated with nothing! No flight credits or anything even after I filed a polite and formal complaint.

    Do not fly this airline! I almost never leave reviews for anything, but this was the worst airline experience I have ever had so I felt compelled to write a review so that future customers like yourself can avoid my experience and have a more pleasant one. Take your money elsewhere (which really should not be too hard since this terrible airline is expensive anyways and there are plenty of better ones like Singapore Air).

    This airline does not understand gate delivery of wheelchair. For wheelchair user, airlines of the rest of world does bring their own wheelchair to the gate on arrival. This one would not. Instead of the gate they bring out our own wheelchair to the baggage claim directly. They would not listen to wheelchair’s gate delivery. Their stupid gate agent can not even understand the word Gate Delivery. For wheelchair user, if you have ago spend a plenty of time for connecting flights at DOH, it is going to be a hell!! They do not appreciate that human rights of the disabled. Their inflight service is excellent though.

    This happened in December 2021 when I flew to India with my 12 year old son. This was the worst experience ever. A day before the flight, the flight time changed and after being on hold for almost an hour, no proper response was given. The flight reached late to Doha. They said, "You’ve missed your flight so we will put you on a different flight to New Delhi." We were supposed to go to Ahmedabad. They said, "Your luggage will be available in Ahmedabad." When we reached Delhi, it was utter chaos. Two Qatar employees were collecting everyone’s passport without any justification. I had to get rude to her my passport. They were just collecting passports. Then they lost our luggage. We were told to board the flight to Ahmedabad and that the luggage would be sent there. Nothing was sent. We got our luggage after 100s of calls with no help from them. We had to get help from a friend to get our luggage. I would not recommend this airline.

    I am currently stranded at an airport in Phuket trying to get back to the USA. We have been here almost 24 hours. I originally booked my tickets in January and Qatar kept changing the flight itinerary, changing the type of plane and seats, even after we paid for specific seats for the long flight, 3 times this happened and each time we had to pay for new ones. The travel agency Oojo finally called Qatar and sent a voucher for $57 seating arrangement if we fly Qatar within a year. That is highly unlikely.

    We flew in from Bangkok on AsiaAirways and the plane was late to Phuket, we ran to get on our Qatar plane and they had just closed the boarding gates and said the plane was scheduled to leave in 10 minutes and we couldn't board. So we missed all 3 of our planes to get home. Qatar desk people told us there was nothing they could do and to call Qatar. When I called Qatar they told me to call Oojo travel agency, whom we booked through. Qatar offered a plane home for $4,000 each passenger. I obviously declined as that is absurd. Then Oojo said this was Qatar that i needed to talk to, but they found me a flight with Qatar for $13,000!!!! Absolutely not an option!! So we finally found a flight out of here from another airline, not Qatar, but have to spend a day sitting here before our plane leaves.

    The other airline price was much more reasonable, one quarter of what Qatar could offer, and we found the booking ourselves fairly easily. I was offered a partial refund of our tickets through Oojo of less than $100. Unbelievable. This is the worst experience I have ever had with flying and both companies just blame each other. Oojo told me that it was all on Qatar and the other airline for being late for changing things and nobody helping or compensating us for this horrible experience

    I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with customer service at Qatar Airways company and I must say, it was an absolutely terrible experience. Not only did I have to wait on hold for an excessive amount of time, the representative who eventually answered was rude and unhelpful. They didn't even attempt to comprehend the issue at hand and seemed to rush me off the phone to get rid of me. I left the call feeling undervalued and frustrated. It's a shame that such a large company, with a reputation to uphold, can't treat their customers with more respect and care. Needless to say.

    Even at the Doha airport, I tried to get support. Despite my attempts to explain my situation and ask for their assistance, they were unhelpful and refused to offer me any solutions. They simply ignored me and continued with their work. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Qr. It's frustrating to feel like your concerns are being brushed aside, and it made my travel experience much more stressful than it needed to be. I certainly will not be flying with them again in the future.

    My connecting flight was missed and I was refused for rebooking and my entire amount of connecting flight was deducted as cancelation, I had to buy new ticket of $1513. Since then I have trying to contact Qatar and there is no one available in their corporate office to respond, except one standard reply of sorry of inconvenience from customer care, avoiding the issue of refunding of my connecting flight.     Look at all the recent one-star reviews for this airline, they want us to think that they are high-class organization but ultimately they don't care at all about their customers at all. We booked a flight with them in October 2022 departing on March 23rd 2023. They keep changing the times of the flights including changing our outbound flight by 7.5 hours (so that I have to miss an extra half day of work - I'm self-employed so that means less $) and changing our return flight by 4 1/2 hours so that it leaves at 4:00 a.m. in the morning. In addition to this, they want to charge us $39/person/leg simply to be able to reserve our seats so that I can sit together with my children.

    I realize that airlines have operational issues and sometimes need to change flights but changing them by a total of 12 hours between our two flights is pretty extreme so I contacted their customer service and just asked them to at least waive these seat reservation fees because of all the inconvenience and extra cost that they have made us incur (I estimated it to be around $1,500 based on the work that I'm missing and the extra $400 that we will need to pay for a hotel at Doha airport because we now have a 10-hour layover instead of a 3-hour layover).

    A customer service representative called me back the next day, but since then it's been all corporate double talk where they tell me they're going to get back to me and never do. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm pretty sure they're never going to get back to us. In addition to this, part of our trip to Nepal is a mission trip where we will be bringing over 200 lb of donated clothes to two orphanages. Both my wife and I sent them an email asking them to waive the baggage fees for one or two bags so that we could bring extra clothes to these needy orphans (each of my family members is already giving up our second bag to take the first 200 pounds and clothes, but we still have more to bring).

    Once again, all we got was the corporate run around with one department telling us we had to call another and no one interested in actually helping out. Lufthansa was gracious enough to waive the baggage fees for 4 additional fees when we went in 2018, so I guess that tells you who cares about their customers and about people in need in general - it's definitely not Qatar airways as all they care about is giving you lame, nonsensical excuses and shining you on. Definitely stay away from this airline if you have any choice at all which is what I will be doing in the future.

    I recently took the trip using Qatar airways. It was more than 10 hrs flight. The flight was too small, no legroom, people were top of each other. Seating was small as well. The qatar flights are expensive to begin. It cost you arm and leg, and top of that you have to pay for your seat. Even with paying for seat, it's worse seat. Very uncomfortable. The entertainment section was horrible as well, no choose, old and limited. TV screens was not working either. This airline may gotten awards for service, but not anymore, it is worse airline. The DOHA airport is junk as well, their employee gives you wrong info when you asked them. They have many security check points within the airport. I purchase $10 water and I couldn't even carry it to the flight. The shops rip you off too. I will NEVER fly to this airline in my life now. Done. Bad bad. They deserve no star!

    Very bad experience. I would rate Qatar airways worst airline ever. Lousy customer service, December 23rd we were suppose to fly from YUL to DXB via DOH. Our flight was at 9:00 PM. Kept us in the plane till 4:30 AM. Flight cancelled and they announced that we'll collect our luggage and get the info from the counter what will be done then another announcement, "We cannot open the door for the luggage. Will keep them in the plane", after leaving the plane and arriving home at 7:30 AM text message that the departure at 8:00 PM they suppose to have the luggage in the plane, arriving to DXB we received only 2 luggage out of 6, made the claim and we were supposed to receive the luggage next day at our address in DXB. Never happened. No update. Calling their luggage claim no answer, sending emails no response,

    Went to the airport couple days later. Found one of the luggages in the room. Don't know why they kept it there. Plus the lousy attitude of the employees and the lack of customer service, 2 days later received one bag and 3 days later received the 5th one, after sending them several emails and letting them know that I'm flying back home to YUL on January 10th they delivered the last luggage to my address in DXB on January 13th, they promised of compensation because of the delay which I never got, I've been asking to deliver my luggage to YUL. No response, compensation for the delay no answer. I don't recommend Qatar airways. Stay away from this terrible airline.

    I am writing and escalating this matter to you since Qatar Airways is not able to provide resolution of my complaint regarding missing baggage. My self **(booking Ref. **) had travelled along with my daughter, Niya ** and wife Roma ** *(booking Ref. **) from Houston to Doha on 27 Dec 22 via flight # QR 714 and subsequently from Doha to Melbourne, Australia on 29 Dec 22 vide flight # QR 904. At the Houston airport, they were given baggage tags for 6 checked in baggage i.e 2 bags checked in for each. However, upon reaching Melbourne on 29 Dec 22, the baggage with booking reference # ** and tag # (red color medium sized American Gear bag) did not reach Melbourne. I am suffering for no fault of mine but the fault of Qatar Airways. Over last 15 days and there is no proper telecommunication or email communication took place either from customer services department or lost baggage department. Ridiculous service.

    We took a round-trip from USA to India. We were 4, as per rules we are allowed for 8 luggage's. Since am traveling along with small kids, we decided to take 5 luggage's each 2 kgs extra. While coming back in Chennai airport, they don't have any separate line even if you have kids. They are not ready to help for weighing the luggage's. The Qatar staff said you need to take the weight or else you need to pay 75$ extra for each luggage. Then you are allowed to take 32 kgs. We explained, "We traveled with the same weight coming from USA you can cross check." She was very rude, she said, "We don't have such details. Pay extra or clear the line." And the second complaint is two weeks before we changed food menu. they simply said it is not reflecting here. we are helpless.     Hell. Do not trust their refund policy. Do not trust their refund voucher policy. The customer call center is just that. A center that customers can call and that's about all you will accomplish. You will be under the impression that all is well when booking your trip through Qatar Airways. You'll see all of these wonderful incentives like ticket flexibility, refund vouchers with 10% added to your fare (taxes included), #1 airline 2022.

    It's a trap. This airline is selling tickets to customer service purgatory and you will question what type of past life karma you are paying off because you decided to fly with the oryx. Each agent will tell you a different set of rules than the other. You will be hung up on repeatedly. There will be no callbacks. They will delay responses despite the time sensitive nature of booking airline tickets. They will give you ambiguous response times and never follow through.

    DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT FLY WITH QATAR AIRWAYS!!!! All of these airlines have lost all sense of character and ethics and I believe the golden age of travel has long gone. This one... no doubt reports directly to satan and I wouldn't be surprised if they shared a bed. I used to book directly from the airlines because you were guaranteed better customer care but now I'm booking with all of the bargain sites because there is absolutely no advantage with booking through the airlines.

    Stay away from Qatar Airways!!! I have been fighting for 13 days to find out the value of a refund and they have not sent an email confirmation nor communicated the value of the return. They will not give me the information. They refuse to and there is nothing you can do about it. Once they have your money it's theirs and you won't have any control of how you manage it. You will be at their mercy as they tether themselves to your soul and drain you from what joy you had in your life. That is not an Oryx if you look closely you can see that it is a demon smiling at you like venom from Spiderman. Feeding on your life force until there is nothing left and it moves onto the next host. You have been thoroughly warned.

    Terrible customer service. My luggage was damaged when I arrived at Doha International airport. I tried to submit a claim after my trip and the website told me to contact Qatar Airways directly. I called twice and neither representative said they could and to contact the airport directly. It is impossible to get in contact with someone from my stateside experience. I find it hard to believe there is no further contact to make to see this problem resolved. I would not recommend this airline as they are careless with customers' luggage and do not hold themselves accountable to their faults when a customer is in need of a problem needing solved at the fault of the airline. Do not use them.

    Booked a flight on 22 June for a family of 4 for a 15 Dec 2022 trip. Was changed multiple times by Qatar Airways. Then Qatar take it 1 step further, and removed my name from the booking (from a flight of 4 to a flight of 3). Then Qatar added a new flight (SIN - DOHA) for the flight of 3. Been ignoring me since 22 June (initially says will investigate and get back to me, now totally ignoring me). No response, no refund. just flat-out scammed me with their incompetence.

    I flew on AA air miles, business class from US to Bangalore, India on June 10, 2022 w/ 3 suitcases (extra fee $200) and returned from Bangalore India to FRA, Germany in business class, again with my 3 suitcases on Sept 12, 2022 on Qatar - AA air miles; this time I was charged at the baggage counter In RS 139,776 = $1,758.00 for 3 suitcases! I was speechless, shocked. I had to fly to family in Germany, could not postpone my flight and so far no one at Qatar has been willing to help. I was sure when I left the baggage counter in Bangalore that there must be a mistake. How is it possible that an airline with the highest rating like Qatar would impose such exorbitant and unexpected fees for 3 suitcases on a business class ticket? I trusted I would be in good hands, but was suddenly and badly disappointed. I'm a retired person with a fixed budget and am not sure how I will be able to pay my debt to the credit card company. Can anyone help?

    Warning before Football World Cup: Horrible experience with Qatar Airways – airline violates official entry rules at the expense of passengers. In June 2022 I wanted to fly with Qatar Airways from Perth to Berlin via Doha. Unfortunately I missed my flight QR 901 from Perth to Doha and my connecting flight because Qatar Airways did not let me on board due to a missing PCR test. According to the entry rules of the state of Qatar at this time fully vaccinated EU nationals arriving from a non-red list country (like Australia) were not required to present a PCR test upon entry. Even the travel requirements stated on Qatar Airways website in June 2022 were saying: „Fully vaccinated/recovered GCC residents and EU, UK, and Malaysian Nationals/Residents who hold any of the approved health apps reflecting their immune status: pre-travel RT-PCR test is optional.“ I had met these requirements. Qatar Airways does not deny that either.

    The airline justifies the rejection with a sentence in the Qatari pre-entry registration form which says "Kindly carry a valid PCR test with validity of 48 hours while travelling. You are exempted from quarantine." Qatar Airways is not interested in the fact that this sentence contradicts the official entry rules valid in June. My reference to the entry regulations for EU nationals mentioned above was also ignored. Qatar airways did not respond to my request to clarify the situation with the Qatar ministry responsible for the entry form. In the meantime, the entry requirements have been changed by the Qatari government. This can possibly help to prevent a disaster like mine in the future. What remains is the unprofessional behavior of Qatar Airways and the violation of the official entry rules by Qatar Airways in June.

    Terrible experience with this airline, our domestic flight was late so we arrived at the check-in counter literally one minute after the time check-in gets closed, i.e 59 minutes before the flight time. They refused to check us in sighting "rules are rules even if it's one minute", I asked the higher up manager to intervene but she was even less helpful. My observation was they closed the flight way before the 1 hour window and they were just too lazy to reopen it despite having had enough time to do so. That messed up with our holiday plans and tour bookings and we ended up spending a night in Auckland and catching the next flight. I will never book with Qatar Airways again and do not recommend them to anyone.

    Unbelievably horrible experience, we had to change travel plans literally the day after booking our tickets, so we called fully aware that we would likely have to pay a cancellation fee. The woman on the phone assured us that if we cancelled our tickets we could receive a full refund. When we went to cancel shortly thereafter, they would only refund us a partial amount, stealing about $800 from us that wasn't disclosed on the phone with their customer service. PLUS they still charged us a cancellation fee!

    When we called back to try to resolve this issue, the customer service representative said their policy 'just changed' however, that if we were in fact told we could receive a full refund once they had a supervisor listen to the call to confirm our story. They said this would take 48 hours. Two days later we called back to figure out the status of our case, if a supervisor had listened to the call, now they said it would take 96 hours. After four days had passed we call again, they said still no one had listened to it. We asked to speak with a supervisor every single time we called, and each time we were denied being able to speak with a supervisor saying there were 'none available', EVER!

    We even made sure to call when the Qatar office was open starting at 10 PM our time in the states, and still we were never allowed to speak with a supervisor. One night, they left us on hold for hours for a supervisor, only to have someone who WASN'T a supervisor answer about 3 hours later. Some nights we were told we would receive a call back from a supervisor that evening, so we stayed up until 3.00 - 4.00 AM sometimes waiting for their call, only to have a non supervisor call us back.

    This resulted in many nights, trying to get a hold of SOMEONE, ANYONE, who actually knew what they were talking about and could actually help resolve this issue. Nothing. We called almost every night for over a week trying to resolve this issue, only to get the run around from their incompetent customer service representatives each time.

    It became very apparent that they truly did just want to steal our money, and don't care at all about their customers. They were fully aware of the long nights and late hours they were keeping us up every night we called because we always made mention of it in attempts to get through to someone quickly to resolve this. Each time with no sympathy for what we were going through.

    This airline is full of fraudsters, and their customer service is run by incredibly incompetent people who don't know what they're talking about, and who truly have no ability to help you should something go wrong. The airline would rather steal your money than keep a customer. Please stay away from this airline. They are scammers, They will take your money given the chance. And they will put you through hell with no remorse if you ever have an issue with them. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, and I hope no one has to go through what we went through, only to in the end still have their money stolen after going through hellish weeks of sleep deprivation.

    For a 5-star airline and to be awarded as the best airline for 2022, I would have expected for more quality service. But instead, I received the worst airline service of my life. We came from Paris, took a 10:25pm flight which got delayed to a 1:45am flight instead. We were suppose to get on a connecting flight via Doha but we missed it by an hour. We landed at Doha around 8:40am only to find out that our flight got moved to 2am the following day. The flight staff initially said it was a midnight flight but when we checked our new boarding passes, it was at 2am. (Obviously the staff was trying to appease us a little bit.) So then we asked how we would be accommodated while waiting for the flight…

    They gave us 1000 Philippines pesos to spend on food, that’s it. No lounge access or hotel access. We had to demand for it. It took us 7 hours, 3 customer service desks and numerous back and forths around the airport to finally get hotel accommodations. We even tried asking for lounge access but they wouldn’t allow us to enter because it was only for first class and business class customers, but the lounge wasn’t even full. Tried asking the supervisor for help and assistance and he said the same thing, no apologies just that it was the only thing they could offer, borderline rude. I would have expected more from the best airline of 2022. This was obviously bad customer service. The least they could have done is made sure their customers were comfortable and accounted for while waiting for a 16-hr delayed flight in a crowded airport.

    With 4 children, We left from Karachi to Doha on August 24, flight was delayed for more than 50 minutes. We reached Doha went from security check to the terminal for our connecting flight to Atlanta. Boarding started within few minutes, and the flight was almost 2 hours late for departure. We reached Atlanta around 5:30 and waited in huge line for customs and security check. We waited for our luggage on belt 2 and 4. On belt 4 our luggage started coming but the last bag that came was after 7:55 pm and our connecting flight was for 7:44 pm to LaGuardia airport that already had departed New York that we missed. We already had our boarding passes, confirmation seats and still no one announced our names to check on us for the flight.

    I asked the customs personnel about the missed flight there and they said if we have missed it the airline will get us in for the next flight because we have to stay for customs and baggage check. And after the check we were directed to take shuttle to domestic airport, with 10 suitcases and 4 children I went to wait for shuttle, we can also see it from the security cameras that airport have in that area for the late luggage, shuttle came after 30 minutes just to find out that we have to wait for another one again for 30 minutes because they couldn't fit us in. With little kids crying for food and tiredness. we took a shuttle and reached the domestic airport, to talk to American Airlines as stated in the boarding pass, the office there was closed, we were all stranded at the airport. I tried calling in American airlines customer service but they didn't had any information about the flight and asked to call Qatar Airways.

    I called Qatar Airways customer service at 9:41 pm and they couldn’t provide me the resolution, only the next flight for August 26 with no accommodation because the agent said they can't provide anything except the ticket reissue and it's not their policy to provide further accommodation. I also told them that I have 10 bags with me and 4 young kids, I can't go back and forth with all the luggage and kids. The agent told us to go and check with some American Eagle airline they might help us, but to find out there was no American eagle airline there. We went to Delta Air Lines also to find out about the tickets but they also had another day ticket. My husband was also on another call with the Qatar airways and the agent told him to ask us to go to the Qatar airways international airport booth. There we will find help. Upon asking him again if they will be open there he said “yes, the offices are never closed”.

    We waited again for shuttle for another 20-30 minutes. Put all luggage inside and went straight to international airport, took out all the luggage again, luckily we found carts there, placed all luggage again on the carts. Went inside to find out that they are closed too. Again we were all stranded at the airport with no help. My husband decided to come and pick us up from New Jersey to Atlanta since there was no flights going and no help was provided, he arranged for the hotel and car to take us to Sonesta hotel, I have a receipt for that too, we stayed there for night and my husband after 13 hours drive came to pick us up and we reached New Jersey on Friday August 26 7:30 am.

    I have all the documentations including receipts for gas, hotel room, rental car, boarding passes, luggage tags. I need a resolution for this ignominy that me and my kids suffered as soon as possible. We were having a great trip until we departed with Qatar Airways for Atlanta. I have send them multiple emails but they haven't responded yet.

    We were supposed to fly back from Casablanca 0n 2022/08/18 to Tokyo via Doha and Manila and at 04:00am we received that our flight was canceled for no clear reason, and also they didn’t take any responsibility to arrange any other alternative, the only answer your flight was canceled and we don’t know and we can’t do anything for you very poor feeling, after we had to buy another ticket with other company and after we came back to Japan we contacted Tokyo office, Tokyo office gave us a help service email to contact which we did but the answer was very cold and as I said no responsibility at all for the damage and nightmare they caused for us. At least we had our credit card with us that allowed us to purchase a new ticket, but imagine if somebody who hasn’t the ability to buy another ticket how poor situation he could be in with careless management people, really very upset and sad.

    It's been 4 weeks since my flight was delayed etc and I have been trying to get answers from them since. They have been avoiding and every now and then they send an email of that they investigating the case. Which really couldn't take this long!!! I think their service on board and in the airport is tardy. Their site and app fail to work at the best of times and their team investigating my query might as well work for a circus that doesn't take things seriously!!! I highly suggest that you use a more reliable airline rather than Qatar Airways!!! Don't waste your time and energy!!!

    She had a 21 hours connection in Doha. The airline didn’t provide with neither with hotel or a lounge access. I ended up buying her a lounge access to what they said that it was a max of 6 hours to get more I had to pay more. Accidentally I got her a lounge access but on her way back (where the connection is only 3 hours). Contacted the airline and they refused to change the date or refund $90 I paid for lounge access so we had to buy another one. Ridiculous service and expectations. Will never fly again with Qatar airlines. Impossible to deal with them.

    We were due to fly from Jakarta to Doha and were denied boarding due to not having Ehteraz and a PCR Test. We explained as UK Citizens with an NHS Covid Pass we are not required to have either of these as we have been vaccinated in the past 9 months. The staff was confused. We spent an hour collecting information and showing proof to staff who then admitted their error but stated it was too late and to ask for compensation later. No further help at 1am in the morning travelling with a young child.

    Once we returned to the UK we submitted a claim and have been rejected by their insistence that we required a PCR test, Ehteraz etc. We sent substantial proof alongside, videos, screenshots etc, and even links to the MOPH Qatar ministry of health rules, and their own app advice. After batting of emails and ignoring the information, they decided to change the reason and say we were not entitled to any compensation because we did not show our Covid 19 vaccination proof on the app but instead showed a certificate. This is completely ridiculous and untrue. I have queried how they have jumped from one reason to another and no response. Dealing with a particularly unprofessional member by the name of Mohamed **. Absolutely disgusted. We will be leaving reviews on all forums, have contacted watchdog, aviation regulators and sending complaints directly to Qatar via mail. We will also be pursuing with a legal firm. Qatar staff clearly do not understand their own rules.

    I want to say Hello to the worst airline (QATAR AIRWAYS) in the world and goodbye to them forever. QATAR AIRWAYS thinks the passengers are like baby toys in their hands. They canceled my flight for the first step (it was somewhat typical for me). I booked another one. In the next step, they changed my connection flight to their favorite destination. My route was Duha to Chicago, then to Dallas. I wanted to meet my sister in Chicago and then head to Dallas. These stupids thought they were genius and changed my connection flight from (Duha-Chicago-Dallas) to a straight flight (Duha-Dallas). They didn't even mind just for a second that maybe I had something to do in Chicago.

    Do you think who you Are? Who let you change my itinerary to your favorite one just because you don't want to pay on the domestic thicket of American Airlines from Chicago to Dallas? It was not their last step to mess up everything. They changed my online selected seat to their favorite. They lost my luggage tags on the counter, and I told them, "My luggage tags were between your papers and your hasty services that caused this." They found it and gave it back to me. You are entirely wrong if you think this is all they can mess up. All my luggage has been lost. It was unbelievable that I turned back to the DFW airport in Dallas three times, and I talked to their customer service, and they just told me that I should fill out a claim.

    After a week, one of them confessed that their cargo system had a disruption for a long time, and there were so many travelers like me who didn't get their luggage. It was awful and pathetic. All the worthy souvenirs have been lost. Finally, I could get them after two weeks and all the tensions. However, it was my worst experience with an airline. Even I didn't have this kind of ex[erince with the worst domestic airlines in the world. I don't know who chose them to be in the world's top ten, but they should be waiting for its KARMA.

    Just boarded the flight from LAX. The experience on checking in was awesome. It took time but management was super. Ahmed, assisting for Qatar, made sure things kept moving, kept checking on and off, and kept the mood jovial. We need more people like Ahmed assisting airlines. Flying and checking in is not easy as a customer but people like Ahmed are the ones who know how to make you feel special and diffuse the tension.

    My husband and I finally took our honeymoon after 2 years because of COVID. We traveled to Maldives and one of the airlines that was going was Qatar and my husband had never flown Qatar. I talked up the airline so much and said you have to experience Qatar (after only traveling with them once a decade ago). The trip to Maldives wasn't bad.

    On our way back we had a stop in Barcelona - We arrived at the counter 2.5 hours early and attempted to have our luggage checked in. The guy at the counter informed us that we were not allowed to board the flight because Spain was no longer accepting tourists and giving tourist Visas. This was the first time we were hearing anything like this. Mind you, we were already checked in at least 24 hours prior to this and there was no communication provided to us by Qatar. We also were not staying in Barcelona more than 24 hours, as we had a Delta flight booked for the 29th from Barcelona back to Atlanta. They made us wait on the side for almost 2 hours. My husband and I frantically googled if this was true, we had our family in the US checking every source to confirm, I went over to the information desk asking the same question, and we constantly walked over to the counter asking the Qatar rep what was going on and why he was making us wait so long.

    Cut to 5 mins before the check-in counter was going to close, a woman told us we need to sign a waiver and they will allow us on the flight. Once signed, they asked for our QR code. I showed mine and my husband was pulling up his. As he was doing this, a man with a beard who I assume was the manager started yelling. He was shouting that they will not let us on this flight and that we were unprepared because this form has been around since 2019 and we should know better and have it ready. 2019 – there was no COVID and my assumption is there was no form like this around.

    My husband and I got married in January of 2020 and could not take our honeymoon because of COVID. This was our first trip in the last 2 years so to treat us like we’ve been traveling regularly during COVID and provide false information that this form has been around since 2019 was nothing short of ridiculous. This man continued to yell at my husband, wasting the last 5 mins that we had to possibly get on this flight and then walked away saying the gate is now closed. My husband and I were shocked. It was 10:20pm, probably the last flight going out that night, no place to stay or no one to talk to.

    As a result of this “event”, we had to spend an additional $180 for a night's hotel on the main island of Maldives, a $1500 new fare with Air France leaving the next morning from Maldives to Paris, $180 on an extra PCR test (Barcelona did not require it but Paris did), and we also lost $325 for a non-refundable hotel stay in Barcelona.

    That was a nightmare itself but the ability to dispute anything with Qatar is almost impossible. They will never come on the phone with you. You have to file a complaint through email and all you'll get is an email response in return and it will only say what they want to hear. They keep emailing me back saying we did not comply with the laws, regulations, and travel requirements and that we were given 20 extra minutes to provide the necessary documents. This is complete false and the only thing I can do is email them back just to receive a generic response in return.

    I wasn't planning on leaving a review - I'm already out an extra $2,200 on top of the flight I already had booked but then I saw this airline was voted best this year and I keep hearing about the horror stories that people had to endure from Qatar staff especially in Maldives. I recommend you stay far far away from this airline and if you have to travel them just make sure it is not from the Maldives.

    It has been more than 3 weeks Qatar Airways lost our baggage and all they do is say "be patient", contact baggage handler, but no reply and no phone calls, etc... Disgraceful!!! I travel 5 times/year. This is the last time they will get my bookings and I will make sure no one I know travels with them. They have no courtesy to contact or call back or even make an effort.

    After calling the customer support 9 (!) times and providing my personal data multiple times (passport and national identity card) this superb airline did not manage to update my phone number in my privilege club profile. Thus I am basically not able to use my profile at all because the stupid One Time Password would be sent to my old phone number exclusively which I do not have access to. Customer service gives you different answers every time you call. Very uninformed and not capable of making a minor change. I have rarely seen such incompetence. If this is the quality of service you have to expect, I cannot recommend flying with this airline.

    They lost my bag going to Cebu Philippines, then they booked me on wrong flight when returning to USA.. What is worse is customer service, it is nonexistence.. I contacted airline, but have not received any response, over a month now.. They do not seem to care about the customer once they get your money..Check their FB page, nothing but bad reviews..     Our flight was delayed for 2 hours in London Heathrow. Then when we reached Doha the flight was delayed for 15 hours. We asked for accommodation, lounge, they refused. The behaviour of staff was very rude. They didnt even accomodate the families with infants not older one, and when we reached Islamabad, we are told that ur luggage is lost. I was told that it was the best airline, but in my opinion it's the worst

    My husband wanted to see his ailing mother. He had a connecting flight. From Canada Toronto to Karachi Pakistan. Landed to London Heathrow airport. Came back from there with a reason that last name is not matching. He showed all his documents with his name. He didn’t reach to his destination and came back to Canada paying an additional payment to air Canada. How air Canada passed him through Canada airport if he had this problem.     I bought 2 return tickets from Brisbane to Warsaw via Doha with Qatar Airways. I paid premium, because Qatar offered the best connection in the meaning of time wasted for the layover. We were supposed to have 2.5h layover in Doha going from Australia to Poland and 1h on our way back. I always buy the shortest connection. We were very happy that we found such connection, so we did prefer to pay premium but not have to wait for 5 hours or more for the connecting flight. One month later, on the 15th of February we received a notification that our itinerary had changed, and the layover time extended by 18 hours and 20 minutes! Few days later, we received another e-mail informing us that our layover in Doha was extended to 20 hours 35 minutes! They basically wasted the whole day of our lives not offering a hotel room or anything!

    At the Doha airport we went to Qatar Customer Service and imagine, that as a compensation they offered us a meal voucher! We bought expensive tickets because of the layover they offered and then WE ENDED UP WAITING A DAY FOR OUR CONNECTION FLIGHT WITHOUT ANY COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER! This was the worst traveling experience ever.

    I was once a very Happy Qatar customer and member, but not at the moment. At Melbourne International Airport approximately 2 weeks ago, I checked my wife in with a 5 month & 3 year old child, the service I got was definitely not up to scratch. We asked if we could get a pram at DOHA airport, which was what we have done in the past, they said this is something they don't do anymore???,

    We then asked for the supervisor, she was flustered, in a rush and used Covid as an excuse to why no pram could be supplied, even though wheelchairs are available and supplied, no assistance for infants??? This now made life difficult for my wife, we now had to figure out how she could get from 1 gate to another at DOHA with a 5 month old infant, 3 year old and 3 carry on baggages. Not only was this an issue, To top it off, my wife had to pull apart the pram at the gate at Melbourne airport, put it into 2 bags whilst a stranger was holding our infant child.

    It gets better, my wife landed in Adana/Turkey airport and one of 2 bags she had to put the prams and bassinet in is missing, the top bassinet for the pram is nowhere to be seen, without the bassinet, the pram is useless, she is not happy at all. I've been a very happy Qatar member and advocate of Qatar for a long time, but this time I was not happy at all, no care of a 5 month old infant she now had to carry, a 3 year old to look after and 3 carry on baggages, PUT YOURSELF IN HER SHOES!!!

    I've asked other airlines about supplying prams, they did not have an issue. We then asked the attendant if we could put one of the carry on bags into the bottom of the plane to help us with the situation we were in, they asked for about $600 to put a 7 kilo bag into baggage, this is embarrassing if you ask me. I've sent numerous emails about the missing bassinet, I've attached pictures of our pram showing the missing bassinet that goes on top, told them it would definitely be sitting at DOHA airport because the attendant did not put a barcode sticker on the bag or basinet, but guess what, NO ONE has responded to my emails.

    Where has customer service, customer care & customer retention gone??? Come on QATAR, you are better than that. I will be going with Qatar July 19 and we are coming back together, if I had my way, I would consider changing airlines, but I can't because I will be coming back with the family, at least she will have me to help this time, FOR FREE!!! Let's hope my experience up and back is a better one

    I really don't understand why people love this airline. We were looking forward to flying Qatar due to all the good reviews, but we were sorely disappointed. First, in Dallas preparing to board our first Qatar flight to Doha on route to Kathmandu, my husband was mysteriously placed on a stand by list, despite having a full price ticket. No explanation. We had to wait until the last moment and then were given crappy bulkhead seats, so no underseat storage for items needed during the 15 hour flight. Another couple with business class tickets were also placed on stand-by for no reason. Service for that long of a flight was minimal. Seats were really close and cramped. A woman next to me had her arm on the armrest, but I needed to open it to access the entertainment controls. So every time I needed to change the volume or look for a movie, I had to lift her arm up.

    On the way back, the flight was delayed for 2.5 hours. I understand now, that the Kathmandu airport is always a total cluster and that was not the fault of the airlines. To Qatar's credit, they did have staff waiting at the gate to help usher people to connecting overseas flights, given we had less than an hour to disembark then get across the airport, go through security twice, and check in.

    My luggage was lost. After waiting over an hour in DFW for the last bags to come out, it was clear my bag was not there. By that time, the Qatar Airlines representative was long gone at the Bag Service counter. So in Tulsa, I filed a report with American Airlines, but, of course, they told me to contact Qatar. The online filing process is cumbersome and my scanned documents weren't in a form their website liked so I spent over an hour trying to complete the form and find new ways to upload the documents. I tried the online messaging only to be told to keep working at trying new ways to upload the documents. I tried calling the number listed and it just rang and rang. I finally got the form completed and of course the last question was, why didn't I contact someone at the airport? Poor service all around.

    I booked a flight to Doha and had one checked bag allowance. I wanted to check in 2 bags as I had spent some time in Germany and had purchased a few items.

    The website and the app won't allow you to add an additional bag, instead it gives you fee information on increasing the weight allowance in 1Kg steps. So an additional 25Kg costs around $650. I thought that must be a mistake as the ticket price was close to this price. I called Qatar and after 30 minutes of discussion with a rude support personnel, I was told there was no way to purchase another bag but only to increase weight at the price of $600+. This is ridiculous, will never fly this airline.

    What's going on with Qatar Air? When boarding my flight to Doha, I was informed that the business class seat was broken and I was offered a seat in economy. However, the ticket adjustment has never been resolved. No refund after 30 days! No response or ability to communicate with customer service! Similar to another reviewer, on the return leg, my 24-hour PCR test was denied. The agent told me to rush to a local hospital for an antigen test, which I did, but it was also unsuccessful. As a result, I rebooked my flight for the following day and took a third COVID test. On the telephone with a Qatar Airways employee, I was quoted a $1k flight change fee but was billed $1900 for the ticket. No response! No ability to communicate with customer service!

    Qatar Airlines has not upheld four of its Customer Service Commitments, in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation requirements.

    We are having so much difficulty with booking tickets online, when we call customer service they don’t even help us. After few attempts we are able to book the tickets but when we update the preferences it got updated at that time, the issue is when we reviews the iternary it shows that no meal preferences, we ended up with no option. Indigo flight with Qatar service also worst, my parents struggled with food and all. This is the worst flight ever.

    I had to miss my flights to Dubai on 5/25/22 because my Rapid Antigen test was not accepted by Qatar Airways, and drive 4.5-5 hours for nothing. I was told this was my responsibility. This is information Qatar Airways could have provided ahead of time, so I could be prepared and then be liable for if I didn't comply after paying over $1,250.00 for my tickets. I also lost my online upgrade that I spent $205 (credit card) and 2,000 Avios used for the upgrade - I submitted an online refund request. Despite the hotel night I missed ($50.68 + $11.39 tax) + the 10 AED required at the hotel, the $90 gas expense for the 4.5-hour drive, the $21 parking fee for 5/25, the $211 charge for a rush PCR test (an expense that would have been $24 less with forewarning) + any other inconvenience with my time and mileage, I was willing to forego those inconveniences if my upgrade was honored. It was neither honored nor refunded.

    Their customer service is great until you have an issue - which defeats the purpose in conflict resolution. I was forced to endure a 15.5-hour flight from LAX to Doha beside a male passenger that was physically aggressive even though I asked to be moved and told the only available seat was near a woman with children when I saw at least 4 seats available on the tablet the airline host used. On my return leg, my call to a flight attendant was ignored and headphones were not provided to watch movies. Their food was excellent and generous.

    Upon encountering the same Covid testing issue on the return leg, I finally thought "enough is enough." I heard the same line about 'responsibility' and finally replied, "but I'm flying your airline." Qatar Airways has a duty to supply this information because I had already suffered the brunt of hearing testing information at the ticket counter, and could have arrived earlier. I had to pay for a taxi (via credit card because I spent all my cash) going to the other Terminal for testing (30.50 AED, $8.80 US Dollars) and coming from Terminal 3 (21.50 AED, $6.20 US Dollars) with the last taxi driver delaying me. Both expenses were converted to US Dollars. I'm not the only customer to complain and even airport staff agreed with me.

    I spent 150 AED ($43.70 US Dollars) on the Rapid Antigen test. It's much easier to travel to the U.S. than Dubai. I would like to say I enjoyed my trip, but I cannot. I simply tried to make the best of it and that's attributed to Qatar Airways, who now owes me a total of $443.95. I wouldn't advise anyone to use the airline based on my experience.

    From start to finish my experience with Qatar Airways was awful. To start I was not allowed to take my carry on with me even though it fit. The flight left an hour late so it could accommodate more people getting on. No one seemed to care which blew my mind. I was flying from Dallas to Qatar. You would think they would make up so time because of the delay. Nope. Didn't care which was awesome 'cause I didn't wanna make my connection anyways.

    Needless to say I got an email saying because of the delay I was being taken off the flight and moved to another one. When I asked for compensation 'cause I missed my hotel reservations. They said that's not their fault and won't compensate me. To make things even better. The flight I got transferred to my bags got put on then taken back off. Again the company said that it's not their problem even though they did that. I still don't have my bags. I have never experienced anything like this level of not caring for a customer after you make a mistake.

    My flight was from Calgary to Seattle. Flight got delayed in Calgary by 5 hours due to Biden landing at Seattle and I missed all the connections for no fault of mine. The nightmare started once I landed in Seattle, nobody had any clue how to handle it including the baggage. I was on the phone to reschedule the flight for 3 hours since a couple of unprofessional call center agents decided to drop my call after I was on hold for more than an hour and incurred about $300 worth of airtime cost and was not provided a hotel to stay for the night that's another $160.00 in addition to the nightmare I had to go through. I will never ever fly with Qatar Airways.

    I booked a business class ticket from Miami to Amman (via Doha). Since I live in Orlando, I rented a car and drove 4 hours to reach Miami airport. I had requested a wheelchair in advance because my leg was still recovering from an injury that caused my calf to rupture. I told them I had rented a car and that I needed help from the parking lot to the airport. They said they could bring a wheel chair to the parking lot provided I go to the check-in counter and inform them that I have arrived. I was shocked and told them that I have trouble walking but they said they couldn't do anything about it.

    When I arrived at the airport, I parked at the Qatar Airways door (#10) and went in to tell them that I had arrived and needed a wheelchair. After a four hour drive, they surprised me by telling me that the flight had been canceled and that I needed to wait to be rebooked. I cooperated and said I needed a wheelchair to come to parking lot just as we had agreed on. They refused. I parked in the parking lot across the street and walked to them which I couldn't do because of my injured leg. Because of this, my muscle completely ruptured again, and three weeks of treatment went to waste. I then went back to the check in counter, crying of pain. I begged for a wheelchair. I sat on the floor for over an hour begging for the wheelchair I had previously asked for. After over an hour, they brought a wheelchair but made it impossible to help me throughout my whole trip (including staying at the hotel..etc).

    I then said I was going to cancel and drive back home but I needed them to let me take the wheelchair to the parking lot because I could no longer walk (or even stand up). They refused. After 4 hours of me begging them because there was nothing I could do, they agreed to let them take me to the parking lot (which was a 5 minute walk). I have never been so mistreated and humiliated in my life. I was helpless and they just didn't want to help. The people that worked there were horrible and rude and shocking to say the least. This was one of three bad encounters I have had. I flew several times with Qatar Airways, but I will never fly with them again. Their customer service is by far the worst.

    Qatar Airways can't find my 2 checked bags (over $15,000 in value) for 3 days and it's impossible to reach the baggage team. Even the local agent who reported my incident input all the wrong bag information in the WorldTracer system, so I had to contact Qatar Airways several times to correct it. The bag info is still incorrect although I provided all details about my bags many times. I don't know why they can't correct wrong inputs at once. Also, most baggage team numbers they provided are not in service. The team is hiding from angry customers who lost their luggage. Even the call enter agents are not friendly at all. They sound like they want to end the call to go home asap. It's the worst customer service in my life. I will never use this terrible airline. I will start sharing this dreadful experience with Qatar Airways on social media. If Qatar Airways see this message, please kick your baggage team ** to find my lost bags (File ref# **).

Promised further info at 06.30 the next day. Nothing. No information about onward flights with Qatar being rescheduled. It's Midday now. Afternoon in Auckland but no information.     Qatar Airways cancelled our flights because of Covid in 2019 and gave us vouchers after months although I asked for refund as per their 0 penalty refund policy at the time which was changed all of the sudden. Anyway they double the price when I bought new tickets using vouchers. Once Qatar announced the tickets fee are refundable with no extra charge then I asked for and they returned only the second booking fees and not the vouchers amount.

    When I contacted Qatar they referred me to the agent that I initially bought the tickets from back in 2018. I called the agent at the time but was told they paid Qatar Airways and never hold any cents from the booking date. Qatar hold the money for about 4 years now and doesn’t respond properly. I contacted them thousand of times via email, phone (waiting 45 min), club and Facebook but faced with different answers (eg vouchers will be issued within 48 hours and as a such). I haven’t got my money back yet. I’m really feeling ripped off…

    Qatar Airways consistently wins airline of the year. Once on the plane it's all good (bar that AWFUL droning qatar airways music they play way too often). My gripe is with their customer service before you are on the plane. The staff in their call centres are unable/not allowed to make the simplest of decisions. Their knowledge of procedures is pitiful. Bar booking a flight they are unable to do almost anything. Anything requiring modicum of 'extra' knowledge about products/services/requirements during covid is met with a blank stare or silence on a call.

    Missed a transit flight due to the Qatar Airways. When asked for upgrades acting like it was our fault. No Mister Ali ** supervisor customer services. It was your airline fault. And you made us sit at air port on floors for many hrs. Without giving us a room or accommodating us to another flight to go to our home LAX. I lost business of thousands of dollars due at my veterinary clinic due to their staff not boarding us on our flight to LAX. Which was boarding for only 50 min and they told us it's too late. Then making false promises and then disappearing for hours.

    Qatar airline is a good airline from the aircraft on! What I mean by that is when you enter the aircraft, BUT you must search for your answers if you have any questions very hard because their website is very difficult to understand and practically you get no answers and when you call, people who work for them have a very heavy accent and very hard to understand, they can not help you, their customer service is extremely slow and not helpful, I honestly cried when I called to get my answer!

    And their website keeps disappearing and giving you a general info and not specific, I had to drive to the airport physically to talk to their staff two days before my departure, I had a couple of questions, very simple (country of entry requirements and stuff that you can carry in your luggage and the lounge for my business class ticket)!! Am very tired of struggling with their primitive website and their staff on the ground who hardly understand English, specifically on the phone with a very heavy foreign accent. Hope they can correct it because the inside service of the aircraft is very good.

    I called Qatar Airways’ Contact Center to check on an earlier request I had made for a child restraint device, only to be told that my flight (QR1379 from Doha to Algiers on 28 March) had been cancelled. Up until that point I hadn’t been notified by either the airline or the agent I purchased the tickets from. I requested a new booking be made for the next available flight but was told that the route is suspended until 8 April. As the date is more than 24 hours away, policy dictates that ticketing agents handle the booking, so the airline declined to assist. On subsequent contact with the ticketing agent, it was revealed that my entire itinerary (SIN-DOH/DOH-ALG + ALG-DOH/DOH-SIN) was cancelled by the airline.

    After much wrangling, and a few more calls (and a lifetime of waiting) to the Contact Center (where all personnel confirmed that flight QR1379 was cancelled) I managed to get the ticketing agents to re-book and re-issue tickets for the first available date (i.e. 8 April). On the morning of 28 March however, I received an SMS from the airline that flight QR1379 was on schedule. I checked the Internet for all flight data I could get and this was corroborated - the flight was set for take-off. I called in to the Contact Center again, and was told this time there weren’t any issues with QR1379, no other explanation. Why on earth then was I told that the flight was cancelled?? The amount of trouble I had to go through to re-arrange travel plans (with a toddler in tow), not to mention the cost (financial and emotional) of changing those plans - all because of misinformation by the airline staff at the Contact Center.

    The whole situation is preposterous and I emailed to demand compensation but predictably, was denied any remedy by the airline because I hadn’t purchased from them directly. Qatar Airways would have you believe that booking directly with them would guarantee you better protections, but having read all these complaints I’m not certain that is true. I’m still perplexed at the blunder and misrepresentation of fact that were made by the airline in this case. Utterly disappointing.

    I recently flew on vacation to the Maldives with my husband. I researched Emirates, Qatar and Turkish Airlines and chose Qatar because of their most recent award as the #1 airline. How did that happen? I have 2 complaints about their service: The first is they changed our seats without notifying us and the 2nd is their practices of when passengers disembark the plane.

    I booked the flights (JFK to Doha and Doha to Male) well in advance of our March 2022 vacation. I selected Economy and paid the extra $ to allow me to select our own seats. The day before the flights, we checked in on their app (not very intuitive) and noticed that they had changed our seats. Not only were we in the back of the plane, but they separated us from each other. I called their customer service and after 3 hours I still had no resolution. They told me to try and rectify the problem when we get to the airport.

    The second issue we experienced (on both legs of the trip) was their practices of passengers disembarking the aircraft- Business versus Economy (Baggage Class). We landed late in Doha and had to connect on the flight to Male. The curtains were closed, separating Business from Economy, allowing the Business class passengers to leave the plane first. Not a problem- BUT, well after the Business Class passengers had left the aircraft the staff started cleaning up the area while the Economy passengers still were stuck behind the curtains! Many of these passengers had tight schedules to catch their transfers.

    This also happened on the trip back from Doha to JFK. When the passengers asked why they didn't allow them to leave after the Business Class passengers were well off the plane, the staff became confrontational. Economy passengers are paying good money and make up the majority of the revenue for each of these flights. Qatar Airways should train the staff to not take it out on the Economy Class and let the passengers disembark immediately after the Business Class passengers leave the plane. It seems the staff and/or the airlines have decided to impose a caste system. Terrible!

    I recently travelled in Qatar airlines from India to Sweden. It was one of my worst experiences. The ground staff at Chennai (48 counter - 15 March) was extremely rude and disrespectful. I started to wonder if it is an international airline or Indian platform liquor shop. I am surprised by the fact that he is still employed. He was rude to me as well as to one of their own employee. She was humiliated before everyone. When she had a question regarding my boarding, she called him multiple times but he did not respond. Then she called him "Brother can you please answer me". Then he answered this "Adhellam pana mudiyadhu nu sollu" in Tamil. This is a highly disrespectful term. I thought he was a problem.

    When I had another issue with my luggage I contacted the supervisor who answered "Unkita decenta ya dhane pesren". It was a nightmare until I boarded the plane. Qatar airlines should seriously look into this issue. I felt that this might be also due to religion based discrimination. I was wearing a holy chain with beads and both the rude employees were Muslims. I am wondering that if that had caused them to behave in this way.

    I am so devastated and frustrated with Qatar. I think at this stage I have made about 10 phone calls and as many emails and still do not have my issue resolved. My husband and I both requested refunds on separate bookings and neither of us have received our refunds. When we have contacted Qatar for help, they claim that the refunds have been issued. When I ask for evidence, they refuse to give me any claiming that they are unable to provide evidence of a refund via email.

    When I tried to respond to emails, I received bounce back messages saying that there was a “cybersecurity warning”. After a lot of pushing, I was able to obtain ARN numbers. When I tried to give my bank these numbers for follow up, they said that the numbers meant nothing to them. No one at Qatar will help me and no one will provide me with any kind of evidence that my refund has been granted. I’m hoping that someone will get in contact to help us in response to this review. We are incredibly upset and out of pocket more than $3000 which is a lot of money to us. It has been very distressing dealing with Qatar.

    I feel the need to share a recent experience that my husband had aboard an Qatar flight from JFK. My husband has medical issue that requires that his legs can not be in the bent position for long. As a result, we paid for extra legroom seats and selected the seats when we booked the flight. When my husband boarded the flight they attempted to force him to sit in a seat that was not accommodating his disability. When he tried to explain the situation to the flight attendant she refused to look at his receipt which clearly showed his actual seat number and the fact that he paid extra for the seat. He asked for help getting it resolved and the attendant left him standing in the aisle for 30 minutes. At that point, a very rude and abusive individual came and said that he was the manager. My husband began to explain the situation and he refused to listen. He then threatened my husband and told him to either sit in the seat and shut up or get off the plane.

    My husband was obviously distraught as the trip he was taking was for his mother’s memorial who died during covid. Since he was not able to attend her funeral or be with her when she died, it was very important for him to be there. Qatar is a racist airline and a abusive one at that. Their employees are arrogant, nasty and disrespectful. They causes my disabled husband an extreme amount of distress. We have contacted our attorney as I have witnesses of the entire situation. Your employees to have the right to demean anyone and then expect to be treated respectfully. YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE!!! They did not want to take the time to look into the matter because they simply could not be bothered. The manager’s exact words were that he was not delaying the flight for anyone. I have witnessed countless situations where Qatar employees degraded passengers. THEIR REVIEWS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. SHAME ON YOU QATAR.

    Well today was a great mess up, I was scheduled to fly on Jan 6th, 2022 QR 740 from LAX – DOH – DBX. I was at the airport 2 hours before departure doing my regular check-in. There does not seem to be any kind of exclusive platinum line, they are all mixed together to any kind of status you have with Qatar is pretty much all just washed into Biz class. The lady at the counter had taken my details for check–in and let me wait for another 10 min, while she was still nickel and dimming another family for having a slightly heavier suitcase of 3 – 5 kg over the weight limit. – Yes and this family was also traveling in Biz class. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes watching this entire shuffling of suitcase components.

    10 minutes later she got back to me and I gave her my Qatar Airways app with my booking details for today departure Jan 6th. She said she could not find my booking so she went to check with the manager, another 10 min have passed. She came back and told me my flight is booked for tomorrow I said no cant’ be I have my booking right here and showed her my phone again, Jan 6th it even showed on my phone flight is ready for check-in.

    I made it very clear, that her company application and booking is telling me that the flight is today that is why I am at the airport. It’s not the first time I am flying I have Solitaire PPS status with Singapore Airlines for several years now. if there is a mistake in their system not working then please get it fixed and make the necessary changes. I have not received any notification that there is an issue with the Qatar booking system not showing bookings correctly.

    Another 10 minutes pass and I am waiting a junior supervisor come back out to me with a printout telling me, "Sir your flight is tomorrow." I explain the details again why I am here and show him my booking on my phone showing departure Jan 6th. He tells, "I am sorry but nothing I can do. I have spoken to my supervisor, you will need to call reservations to make a change, we can’t do anything here. And it's too late already checking has closed already." He said that it looks like there is a problem that the booking details show up with the wrong time zone.

    There are other customer still checking in and if you would not have let me wait here for the last 30 min, then we would have made some progress. How on earth can you treat your Platinum members which such low quality of service. I asked several times that this problem is not mine I am a customer who’s here to fly because of what is showing on my checking on my app today departure Jan 6th. I have asked now to speak to the supervisor, We are 1:20 min away from departure so still plenty of time to get 2 bags loaded and checked in.

    I wait another 15 minutes for the supervisor who was promised to come to me but never showed had to chase him down myself. He finally had another look at my booking, gave him my phone again and he said, "Yes it looks like your detailed on your phone are wrongly displayed seems to be a technical issue with Qatar app." I asked again, "If there is an open seat can you please re-book me."

    The guy said, "I can see here in my system, your flight is for tomorrow." I said, "Great, I can also see here on my Qatar App my flight is today Jan 6th," he accused me of why I am going to airport trying to get onto an earlier flights, am starting to lose it. I said, "Please get this fixed, if you need to change something call Qatar airways head office and get this fixed." It’s obviously not my problem, I used 90% of my phone and my apps for business and I have never come across where the date of a plane ticket would show wrongly for several weeks before departure. I made it very clear to him that it is an issue with Qatar airways and last time I checked I am standing in front of a Qatar check-in counter, at the airport who is supposed to assist a Platinum Qatar Privilege customer.

    I said, "Is this how you treat your premium customer is this the type of service you provide." They wasted an entire 1:30 hour of doing nothing not once have they called Head office who could have easily fixed this. They had seat available, they did not mention they are fully booked, which could have been more understanding. He accused me of trying to get an earlier flight, I said. "Are you ** kidding me. Do you think I am wasting my time coming here for fun or something? I am here to fly because that is what my digital ticket says on my Qatar App." He asked me where I booked my ticket. I said on the Qatar website and he told me, "Why don’t you look there." I said I am using the Qatar app, that is another customer touchpoint of interaction. My App is up to date.

    A few curse words started to fly by now. You can understand my view, they have acknowledged already that the data showing to the customer app is wrong, but did nothing to get me on my flight. The guy got so angry with me and told me don’t come back tomorrow he will not check me in. I told them they are bunch of clown and ** airline with 0 customer service. There is no way on earth that Qatar airways is a 5 star airlines or best airlines. Somebody got paid under the table big bucks to make that happen for them. I have flown many airlines in the past and I can confirm to you that Garuda Indonesia a four star airline provide superior customer service then Qatar Airways. Qatar Airways lacks a lot of customer service in many client touch points.

    Don’t get me the wrong the Q suite product is fantastic, the airport is beautiful, the lounges in Doha are beautiful and great.
    - The planes look nice.
    - The selection of food is great.
    - The entertainment is fantastic.
    Platinum Privilege Club – non-existence/No special extras/The Privilege program is a façade. Cabin crew do not greet one by their name.
    - Quality of on-board service lacks 3-4 star only.
    - Cabin crew do not clean up properly after each servicing.
    o No evening crews patrol to make sure customer are comfortable.
    - Inconsistent service, hit or miss on each flight.

    - Inconsistent cabin crew standard.

    At the end of the day Qatar Airways looks beautiful but under the facade it's all smoke and mirror. As they say a car only runs as good as its mechanics. You can buy as many new planes and beautiful cabin products, but you can’t buy style and heritage.

    When I arrived to deliver the bags, a man who treated me very badly asked me for a visa to enter Kenya. I wasn't going to Qatar, I was going to Kenya. The number on my new passport was wrong, but the number on the old one was there as a national document. I showed him the old passport and he told me that it was worth nothing, even though it expired on January 22. They treated me bad. They didn't listen to me. They didn't want to talk to my wife on the phone, I don't speak English well. A gray-haired man (in Oslo) treated me as if he were a slave. I missed my vacation. I will never travel on that airline again and I will take care of spreading the case. Greetings.

    An aggrieved senior citizen. What can I say? Where do I begin? In one word it was all chaos Qatar Chennai airport counter!! When we (My wife & I) walked into Chennai International airport on the 2nd of Dec to catch our Qatar flight to Los Angles transiting through Doha I never expected that we would be put to such a torturous nightmare by Qatar airways the award winning airline. I would like to simply put it down as follows. 1. We walked in at around 12.05am to check in. We were shocked to see the serpentine queues. There were at least 3lines. No one knew why. 12.15 We contacted a good friend at the airport and he was kind enough to send an airline staff. Not a Qatar staff.

    12.30 This gentlemen brought a Qatar staff. He explained that due to a technical issue the flight had not taken off from Doha. There will be considerable delay and we may miss our connection to LA. I politely showed him the qatar app and informed him that I was aware of this. So what next? He told us to wait. We pushed our trolleys to a corner and found ourselves a seat and our waiting began. By the way Chennai international airport will probably feature as one of the most badly maintained airports of the world. 12.30-1-1.30-2-2.30-3.0-3.30 No info whatsoever from Qatar. Only news we got after much persuation was that direct Doha passengers will be checked in. Others have to wait.

    Finally I marched to the counter and demanded an explanation. I was informed that I have been rerouted via Frankfurt. Lufthansa being my carrier for 1leg. I literally lost my cool! Qatar staff were not even aware that as in Indian citizens we needed a transit visa!!! Finally after 6 hours they suggested we fly via Seattle. I flatly refused and told them book me on the next available fligh to LA and let us go home as my wife is nursing a hairline fracture in her leg!! and both of us are senior citizens and we should not be exposed like this in a crowded airport. To top it all qatar did not even arrange a bottle of water!!!! Appalling, irresponsible and callous behaviour indeed!!

    What qatar should have done? 1.Treated passengers with care. 2. Made arrangements for water and light refreshments. 3. Should have segregated transit passengers and addressed their issues. 4.. Separated senior citizens & co-morbid passengers and kept them away from the crowd. 5. Made announcements periodically. 6. Got passenger volunteers to help them to tackle the situation. Handling crisis situations entitles you to be voted the best airline not otherwise. Will we fly qatar again? Will we recommend qatar? Most probablly not!!

    I am writing to express my great displeasure with the services provided by Qatar Airways and the ongoing problems it is presenting. We’ve had our tickets unknowingly cancelled and rebooked; have been forced to spend several hundred dollars of our savings because of staff errors; lost days of valuable holiday time; and are dealing with the fallout from the airline’s loss of our luggage.

    I am also writing to advise that the poor service has caused ongoing problems and dangers to our 2 year old daughter – for whom we have tried to carefully plan the trip around. Specifically, the loss of our luggage and protective clothing for a European winter has been a dangerous error on the part of Qatar Airways and has resulted in the need for several urgent purchases to ensure our daughter’s safety. I am writing this email to advise in advance of the poor reviews I will be leaving and to implore you to make appropriate changes so that the same nightmare isn’t thrust upon another poor family.

    Our list of grievances are as follows: The first issue arose when arriving at the airport to discover our tickets on the adjoining flight from Dohar to Prague had been cancelled several weeks prior without any notice given to us to rebook or adjust our planning. I understand the issues that COVID regulations may have on flight bookings, but the cancellation of our flight weeks prior to our departure without any notice given was absolutely appalling.

    Staff informed us that they would be able to amend the issue by sending us from Dohar to Paris, and then onto Prague. They failed to specify however, that our travel time would be vastly extended, and would involve additional costs for COVID testing, food and amenities for our young daughter. Further issues arose when arriving at the Pairs airport, when we were advised that our bags would not be following us to Prague, although being assured by Qatar staff that they would join us despite the changes.

    We were curtly informed by Qatar airport staff that we should find our bags ourselves or make other arrangements for their delivery. Fortunately, I was able to find another member of staff who advised us that she could arrange for the bags to join us on the following flight. Unfortunately, the bags were wrongly sent to the U.S and have since not been returned. This left us arriving to a European winter without sufficient clothing or equipment to travel, and has resulted in several otherwise unnecessary costs to us.

    One of my major disappointments with our experience was reflecting on our purposeful choice to fly with Qatar airways – who we had read excellent reviews for and understood to be the best. We booked with Qatar over other airlines thinking we would have the easiest and most comfortable trip with our young daughter; but sadly, we have instead experienced rude staff, extended travel time, further costs, increased stress, and lost luggage.

    I kept bouncing back and forth between offices to sort out the issue I had at the airport. The most important point to staff in the airport is to get rid of you by telling lies and pretend courtesy. Lengthy layover time (16 hrs) without support at the airport. With painful and sore foot the cart driver declined servicing me upon request and was trying to instruct me to go (while limping) to their office to request help (to drop me to the gate). Very funny. But without hesitation and because of the past experience, I kept walking with a sore foot to the gate. Sent a feedback to customer service request email and a senseless and generic apology for as sent. Very funny. Be careful and double check before commit to fly using Qatar airways.

    To me this airline was so far the worst possible in terms of customer service. They steal your eyes with free so called luxury products but when it comes to serious passenger and ticketing handling this airline is absolutely despicable. Day light robbery!!!! We booked 2 tickets Zurich - Bali/Denpasar, canceled according to the policy on COVID and were offered the possibility of an additional 10% voucher. Never saw back the money!!!! Never saw any voucher for the value we paid!!!! They keep sending us a wrong voucher with 8% of the value we paid, claiming there is an error in the booking system. Since 4 months we are in a back and forth fight to get our money back! This airline is absolutely despicable!!!!

    The airline guy denied my checkin for some weird requirement. And later on I had to change my flight and heard him talking to his staff that the flight is overbooked and they need some more people not to allow. This is such an unprofessional behavior and harass customer. His name was George in Lax airport. Next day when I checkin again the requirement was gone. They also didn’t refund me my upgrade they charged me.

Their call center doesn't exist, they don't reply on email, their ground staff doesn't know anything and is very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. The meaningless airline who bought award and wants to show the balls to the world. The reality is cheap, horrible service but for extremely expensive price. NEVER fly with these hypocritical liars, stay away from this so-called airline, even though the truck service in the African desert has even a better service. A lot of transit passengers were even beat in their airport without any justifications, they don't obey to any international law.

    Turns out, Qatar Airways employees can lie to customers about travel requirements and kick you off of a flight. Then, you will spend weeks being sent in circles by Qatar Airways with no resolution. Also, you apparently cannot speak to any customer service reps on the phone. I have never, in my life, seen a business run like this.

    I had already gone through checking and security, and was just going to board my flight from Dallas to Muscat, Oman. The Qatar employee claimed I needed a hotel reservation to board the flight, which is NOT a requirement and I did not have a hotel reservation due to having family in Oman. I was also not the only passenger this lie was told to and not the only passenger denied entry onto the flight. The Qatar employee simply told me I had to call Qatar Airways and walked off. I spent 3 hours on hold with Qatar Airways just to be told I needed to speak to an employee at DFW in person - at 1 am - after all employees had gone home.

    I was stuck in a city I didn't live in, no idea where my bags were, no idea if I could rebook, no hotel voucher, no ride voucher, no COVID voucher - NOTHING! I had to pay everything out of pocket - all due to a travel requirement made up by a Qatar employee. It took me a full day and 3 different phone calls to rebook my flight and NO ONE could compensate me for the out of pocket costs and no one would fully resolve the issue for me. AND I had to run all over Dallas to get another COVID PCR as mine would have been invalid due to missing my flight. I ended up having to pay $250 out of pocket for a rapid PCR. The cherry on top, when I was checking in and boarding my flight the next day, no one even asked me about hotel reservations - further confirming the Qatar employee just made up a travel restriction.

    This was on December 1st and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE AT QATAR THAT CAN RESOLVE THIS! I have called and called and called, only to be told there is NO WAY I could talk to a customer service representative on the phone and had to file a complaint online. I filed 3 complaints online, only to be lied to again, Qatar returning my email 8 days later, claiming I wasn't allowed onto the flight because I didn't have insurance (which I did have, by the way). Lies on lies on lies. And no one is willing to help me or resolve this issue. This is absolutely appalling and I literally don't know what else to do or who else to reach out to. This airline is impossible to reach and even if you do reach someone, they lie to you.

    My trip from San Francisco to Cairo on Qatar Airways is very bad. First, after the reservation was made, and for special circumstances, I had to change the flight time. When I called them, they changed the departure time and paid $400, and if I wanted to change the return time, I had to pay $900. Second, I I booked a chair on the corridor and an email was sent to reserve the chair, but I was surprised to cancel the reservation and I had to pay $40 if I wanted to choose the chair. Thirdly, I tried to pay the cost of the third bag online, but it was not allowed and I called Qatar Airways and they said that the cost is for the bag.

    The increase is $200, but I was surprised at the airport with a discount of $250 without telling me, and when I told the employee that it was only $200, she said this online, how do I pay online and it is not possible, the last surprise that I did not see in any airport or any airline is They weigh the hand baggage and were paid $65 extra weight, this is the worst flying experience I've ever had.

    I was looking forward to my trip with Qatar Airways as they advertise themselves as the best airline in the world. My experience, though, was a big disappointment. On arrival at my destination it turned out my baggage got damaged. I filed a report at the airport immediately, and was assured by the agent that I’d be contacted about reimbursement or repair of my baggage the following week. It’s been a month, and the issue hasn’t been resolved.

    Qatar Airways hires a sketchy company, Dolfi1920, to take care of their customers’ damaged luggage. The company lost my report and all attached documents, and they’ve been basically time wasters. Qatar Airways customer service don’t reply to emails. How come are they the best airline in the world? I bet they have enough money to manipulate the data, as I have had much better experience with cheaper airlines before. If you can, avoid Qatar Airways at all cost! PS. Flight attendants aren’t nice, either!

    The worse service we have received from any airline! They have made the seat so small that you can barely fit in them. We paid huge amount of money for seat assignment and on the plane they changed our seat and customer service for the airline sent us goose chasing for explanation. No reason given for seat change. In the middle of covid they have squeezed passengers like sardines in every seat which you can even smell the breath of the passenger next to you. Service was awful. Flight was delayed 40 minutes in the middle of perfect weather with no explanation and reason just because they had so many passengers and could not seat them on time. This would be the last time we use this airline and warn people about this airline.

    Went on vacation from Chicago to Maldives and purchased business class seat. Prior to my vacation starting, there were 3 changes which ultimately led to my flight date being changed from December 4th to December 5th. When I went to check in I was refused boarding because of this. The ticket agent was absolutely no help and just sort of shrugged her shoulders like oh well. I called Qatar and talked to an agent and he changed my flight to the next flight which was leaving 20 minutes later. After going through all this and trying to get checked in, I was told the flight was full and was bumped from that flight too… this caused me to miss all connecting flights and I was stuck in the airport for over 5 hours waiting for them to figure it out.

    Finally I was put on a flight that left at 11 pm arriving in Doha 4 1/2 hrs later and a 6 hrs layover from originally 2 hour layover. So they wasted a whole day because of their mistake. When asked for any compensation which I feel was rightfully deserved at this point, I was told they could do absolutely nothing and gave me a card with information on placing a complaint. After searching many other reviews, they either did nothing or there was no response. I caution you about using this airline especially if you are American.

    The way I felt treated was different than the way they treated other passengers especially if they were Muslim. I will never spend another penny with this company. I wonder how they got so many awards but I bet it’s because of the many Muslims that fly Qatar because it’s cheaper than Emirates. Don’t get me started with the lounge in Qatar… The attitude I got from everyone that works at Qatar was very nonchalant and didn’t want to do anything except give apologies. Oh and I am gluten sensitive so because of this I was not able to get my food preference updated for a 16 hour flight from Doha to Chicago.

    I took a flight in Qatar Airways from BEY to Baltimore. Long flight. 24 hrs. I got food poisoning because of the food they served from Doha to Chicago. I had vomiting and my blood pressure went down. It's a problem when you're flying alone. Today I was meeting a friend. He told me that himself and his friend also got food poisoning at qatar airways. When I called the manager at qatar airways they completely denied that their food is not well conserved. Complete denial. If I can put zero star I would. This is by far the worse airlines I ever took and I'm a frequent flier.

    Qatar shipped my cats without confirming that the customs office will be closed for a couple/few days due to the holidays. Why would you ship an alive animal knowing that you would not be able to release it? I shipped hairless cats that obviously would get cold at night and possible die. They were away from home already 3 days and when I came to pick them up, Cargo told me they can't give them to me, and they didn't know when they would release them.

    I asked to speak to a supervisor. Those people were extremely rude. They said we are the supervisor and we are the bosses. They were laughing and mocking me. The whole thing was a nightmare. I had to call the police and the police came and helped me. I will never ever deal with Qatar. There was a person Jimmy and Melanie. He was yelling and screaming at me like I am a child. I never saw such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. I understand those people don't get paid enough but you should never treat any human like that.

    I flew with them years ago with no problems but it is a different story now. I tried to call them and they've outsourced all of their customer service to India. They could not put me in touch with anyone in Melbourne and were not able to help in any way at all. They simply read text from their website (I had already done that), which did not answer my question. Qatar staff at Melbourne airport forced me to pay for COVID testing, despite their website stating that I did not need any test to fly to Oslo as per the Norwegian Immigration Department's ruling. The Qatar staff ignored me and said they could not let me board without it. So factor in additional costs when booking your ticket because they will make you pay for unnecessary things! They also will not listen to you and be adamant they are correct, when they are in fact wrong. When I lodged an online complaint the response was weeks late and addressed to a completely random name.

    If you consider Qatar Airways as a five-star company, you may want to reconsider. I thought the same until they ruined my vacation; they have entirely lost it. I am Dr. SB, a brain cancer specialist at the SickKids hospital of Toronto, Canada; a citizen of Sweden, resident of Canada. I have booked my two-way travel with Qatar airways for July 2021.

    The first disappointment happened at Toronto airport before the departure flight; staff at the gate could not give me the boarding passes due to a fault in QatarAir Ways' System regarding my booking. It threatened my boarding, and I would have missed my flight if I did not have the great help of the Air Canada staff. I had a stopover in London airport, where I waited for a representative to come to their contour and give me my boarding pass for the second flight. After two and a half hours waiting (while I was about to miss my flight), a Qatar airways representative finally came with an attitude; she did not even apologize for the inconvenience created for me. I HAVE BEEN FLYING IN BUSINESS CLASS, and I received this service!!!

    Yet, that has been nothing compared to the experience for the return flight, the worst experience of my life. On departure, Qatar Air Ways staff prevented me from onboarding, claiming that a procedure is required, and said confirmation from QatarAir Ways' headquarter is needed to allow me on board. The Qatar Air Ways representatives were utterly unaware of the distinction requirements; however, I presented all the required and valid documents. All my trials to prove that this baseless claim does not exist on the Canadian immigration platform (refer to the link and screenshot below) were ignored and rudely responded to.

    So I missed the flight, and I had no choice but to buy another ticket. I booked the next available flight from Turkish airlines (two days after Qatar unreasonably prevented my onboarding). I boarded my flight (Turkish airlines) and entered Canada with NO issue. Within the same week, I returned to Canada safely with the same documents; I provided no additional documents nor asked by Turkish airlines. I safely landed in Canadian territories is the best proof that Qatar Air Ways stopped me from taking the flight, although I had the right to get on board.

    I have written several complaints to Qatar customer service. Unfortunately, I have received a very late and careless response from Mr. Omar **, Qatar Airways Customer care. At first, they tried to blame me, after they understood that they could not deny the facts, they only offered to return the cost of my return flight. They put about CAD 7000 cost burden on me, besides the distress and emotional trauma they caused for me, and my family who have been flying with me. Unfortunately, the recent experiences with Qatar Air Ways made it impossible for me to trust them with my travels in the future, and I informed the circle of family and friends to avoid traveling by Qatar Air Ways to be safe.

Since I couldn't do that online for some reason I had to call the customer service which turned out to be in India (of course). Horrible attitude, lack of any competence and zero customer service skills. One of them refused to transfer my call to a supervisor when I requested so. This is outrageous!

    I booked a Qatar Airways flight on July 14th. I was sitting on the plane, ready to take off, when I asked for a painkiller for a simple headache (I had my negative Covid test result). The flight attendant came back to me with many questions, which I answered. Then, the flight manager came to me and asked me to leave the flight!!! They did not let me fly! They asked me to bring them a Fit to Fly letter from a doctor to get another ticket for tomorrow evening on July 15th.

    I spend all night in the emergency room of one of the hospitals in NYC to get the letter. The day after, I went back to get a new ticket instead, but the new flight manager did not look at my letter and never listened to me to see what happened last night. He asked me to book a new ticket via a phone number. I knew that booking a flight through that number takes more than 2 hours, and I could not get the flight around 3 hours later. Moreover, I already paid for a ticket, and I wanted to get a new one. I felt frustrated, and none of the agents even care. I give 0 Star if I could! They make my travel the worse one in my whole life. I never travel with Qatar airways in the future and do not recommend it to anybody!

    Want to share my bad experience while working with Qatar Airways Customer care to get my travel voucher refund. I requested Qatar Airlines for my ticket refund request for the flight that was cancelled in 2019 due to pandemic situation but not yet got refund after 5 months of regular followups. Every time they responded that they will process my request and closed the ticket even service is not yet completed. I opened 4 tickets so far to follow up with my original request as they closed all my previous tickets without any resolution. They are asking me to keep patience whereas they are giving the response after a month time. Every time getting same response that they are processing my request but still no result. Feeling harassed while connecting with Qatar Customer Care to get my own money back. I am really not sure whether I will be getting my money back and want to alert other passengers about this situation.

    I had the most awful flying experience for my family and myself. The airplane is fine but the layover was 16 hours in Doha. No transit accommodation whatsoever. Their phone lines do not answer before the flight to help confirm how they accommodate us. I waited over 8 hours on the phone to no avail. When we arrived in Doha, I asked for the transit accommodation and I was told there is none. I explained that our layover is 16 hours and I have my family but all I was told that due to covid, all transit accommodation is cancelled.

    I searched online and found hotels near by the airport but the airlines told me I can't leave the airport because I had to apply ahead of time and be approved again because of Covid. I told them that I hold Canadian passport and should have no problem going through immigration but all I heard is that Covid has changed the rules. So we were stranded for 18 hours on chairs on top of our already 16 hours trip with nearly no sleep. People who gave this stupid airlines must have had short layover and did not go through any real suffer here.

    No social distancing with every single seat filled and almost 400 people on the plane. At least 5 people sitting around us didn't wear their mask throughout the whole entire flight. They kept making announcements. Masks must be worn at all times and yet none of the flight attendants said anything to these maskless people. Also when I purchased our seats online, all the middle seats on the seat map had an X as if it was due to social distancing. We walked up to our seats to realize someone was sitting in between us. Luckily he was nice enough to move to the window seat. I'm very very disappointed and I don't think I will be flying with them in the future.
