Very poor experience. I Rented through Priceline. My cost said including fees etc. I get there and they said I never paid. Which I did. They then said I couldn't use a spouse's card. I asked if I could use debit. They then asked for a utility bill. Originally they said I would only need I.d and insurance. I asked them to repeat the Total and suddenly they added an extra 300$... going from 200 to 500 was outrageous. I explained I paid through Priceline already and they told me I shouldn't have a charge and to call my card company to contest it. This was a huge waste of time. I was unable to rent and just canceled my entire trip.

I wouldn’t have business with Priceline anymore ever and I wouldn’t recommend them to my friends and relatives as well. I booked a rental car for my son who lives in New Brunswick. The pick up is suppose to be today. At the website it didn’t specify that they only accept credit cards. My son has only $500 credit limit and didn’t allow him to use his debit visa. They were not helpful at all and didn’t give us any options but keep saying no, sorry. Not helpful at all.

The customer service is non existent. I booked and prepaid a hotel for a driving trip (same hotel both ways). I cancelled the second reservation in the early morning of the day I was to stay. Reservation was cancelled, and was told "No refund". I had bought cancellation insurance $9. When going to file a claim I needed a copy of the receipt for the transaction. I went to my confirmation in my email and clicked on receipt. It would not display. Calling customer service was a series of recorded voices telling me that whatever information I gave them I was wrong. Luckily it was not a lot of money, so I am giving up on it, but will never use this company for anything again.

Had to cancel a Hawaii trip booked thru United Packages (Priceline) due to medical emergency. Never offered travel insurance. OK so we get a trip credit. Fine. Trying to use the credits is a nightmare. $99 charge to use a $200 credit. Can't get best pricing on United (even though originally booked thru United packages) so the actual flight costs way more using the credit than if I book myself thru United. Theft, simple and constant theft.

While booking a hotel stay, I mistakenly (huge mistake) didn't verify the website I was booking on. Thinking I was on Hilton.com I had been redirected to Priceline's getaroom.com. Secured my room at a Hampton Inn in Florida. During our trip we encountered a pending hurricane and had been forced to shorten our trip by 1 day. I contacted this vendor in advance of our departure and got the run around for extremely incompetent customer service representatives. I was told to call back once we were home so they could confirm our checkout. After that followup was told in no uncertain terms that I should expect to hear back in 5-7 days and "no need " to call back.
I learned today that getaroom.com, their "partner" which they fail to name and the hotel rejected the refund due to severe weather. If you use these budget services either knowingly or unknowingly you WILL assume any and all travel risks. Double check the websites you use for reservations as they are not all the same. Priceline and getaroom.com are professional thieves. Avoid at all costs and good luck if you don't.

We arrived at our hotel that we booked 6 months in advance to be informed our reservation was canceled. Customer service said they would rebook us in like accommodations… except every time she contacted a hotel that we were seeing had availability, she told us they were unavailable. After 3 of these I called the same hotel. She said was booked and booked us a room, calling the customer service rep out on flat out lying to us. Essentially they were trying to get us a hotel for what we paid 6 months ago. We went round and round and sent our receipts and a formal complaint to be told they did everything correct and didn’t overlook anything. This was our 20 year anniversary trip, for which we had to scramble last minute to find a hotel and spend hundreds of dollars extra than we anticipated. It was awful. Buyer beware.

Priceline is aiding and supporting theft of services. I booked a reservation on Priceline for the America's Best Value Inn in Portland Maine. The hotel requires a $100 deposit that isn't explained to you when booking, then after arriving, I asked to cancel the reservation due to not having that much on hand and asked if the deposit could be paid in the morning when I can get the money for it. I was told no exceptions and that I had to contact Priceline to obtain my refund. Then after being hung up on 3 times and waiting over 2 hours I finally get told that because the hotel that wouldn't honor the $134 reservation that was prepaid says that they wouldn't refund anything. So I have no room to sleep in and also out $134 with nothing to show for it. DON'T USE EITHER HOTEL OR PRICELINE! They are stealing from people.

I am not too happy with Priceline. I wanted a bundle of hotel and car, as it would be cheaper in the long run. I scheduled what I wanted and made the purchase. When I saw my itinerary, the hotel was correct, but they put the car being picked up in a different city and at a different date. They were nowhere near close. I wasted a lot of my time trying to find a number to Priceline (I finally had to ask AI for the number). They couldn't transfer my car rental, so they gave me a refund. That was nice, however, I didn't want to give Priceline any more of my money, so I rented a car somewhere else. I ended up spending $500 more than I wanted to spend. I almost felt like they do this just to get more money out of you. I won't waste my time or money with Priceline again.

We were on a last minute trip to Vancouver and looked for an available room for July 20th and found one saying there was a room available. We put in all the particulars and when we pressed the pay button the Priceline site changed the date of the reservation to October 19th and we immediately phoned to cancel this bait and switched reservation. Priceline said, "Sorry cannot cancel. You have to call the hotel." We called the hotel and they said they cannot cancel it as it is not done through them. They suggested to call them directly next time. We have since tried to cancel this reservation and were told by priceline that we can cancel it and the cancellation fee is exactly what the reservation cost. DO NOT BOOK WITH PRICELINE EVER. This site is a scam site in my opinion.

I made a reservation at Clarion Hotel BAkersfield, CA on 10/4 through Priceline. One hour later I found out that the event I was going to (funeral) was cancelled due to Covid exposure. I cancelled my reservation. I also purchased trip protection on my reservation. Both Clarion and Priceline refuse to refund my monies. I was out the hotel room money and the price of the insurance which I assumed would cover my cancellation.
The hotel only had the room off their books for 1 hour so I'm sure there was loss on their part. Why purchase insurance if they aren't going to refund for legit reasons to cancel. I have been a Priceline customer for a long time but I can tell you if you want your money taken due to an unfortunate situation then use them. I can't get any answer from Priceline except that they will send me a claim form, which I have requested twice and they have not sent to me. If you want to rent a car through Priceline, be aware they use RentalCover.com to provide coverage for a vehicle which, despite their wording on Priceline website, DOES NOT cover everything. Specifically they don't cover diminished in vehicle value in case of a damage or an accident and it could be between $100s to $1000s coming out of your pocket. Bottom line, if you rent with Priceline, do not accept RentalCover. Get a full coverage from a rental company when you pick up a car. I know it's more expensive but trust me you will save big in the long run if a rental company slaps you with a claim. RENTALCOVER.COM is just a big old scam.

We had a lot of problems when we tried to check into our reservation. They gave us a room that had the bedding off the beds and looked like it was not cleaned from the previous people. They were sold out so after an hour and a half They put us in a smaller room than we reserved with the window blinds that are broken. They would give us a discount but we booked thru Priceline. I feel we are due some sort of refund thru Priceline due to all the problems and not the room we reserved. Priceline refuses to do anything. So the hotel and I are in agreeance but since Priceline booked it Priceline won't make things right. I bought a package through Priceline, round trip air, hotel, and rental car. I was flying into Charlotte, NC for my daughter's wedding. They were getting married in Asheville, NC. Well, a week before my daughter's wedding, Hurricane Helene hit NC, the hardest hit was Asheville, NC. So, there was no more Holiday Inn where I was supposed to stay. So, I made other hotel arrangements for my stay. I asked for a refund from Priceline for the money I paid to stay at the Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC. Priceline said I didn't cancel my reservation and would have to call the hotel to issue a refund. I said I couldn't cancel my reservation because there is no more hotel there. So, they insisted they had to speak to the hotel. I told them there is no hotel there. They called, no answer, call disconnects. Priceline said they call the hotel a maximum of three times then escalate it. They escalate it so someone else will try to contact the hotel.
I said, "What, do I have to wait two years while another hotel gets built and then you can contact them?" I said, "Can't you call corporate Holiday Inn to verify the refund since there is no other way to verify it?" "No," they said, "We have to speak to the hotel." A whole new level of crazy if you ask me! Everyone is too lazy to engage their brain and think of a different avenue to correct this. They just follow the rules, you don't have to think that way. And you wonder why the World is so upside down! Priceline, you dropped the ball big time, but you don't care, you have my money, now go screw some more customers, you're actually pretty good at I might say! My trip specifically said it was eligible and even said I could sign up to get it. So Priceline provided false information in order to obtain my personal information then baited and switched on me. So I’m out $150 because Priceline lied to me and used false advertising. Then I found out they paid the rental car company less that what they advertised to me. I will never use Priceline ever again. If I could give Priceline NEGATIVE stars, I would. I booked a hotel to take my kids to Carowinds Amusement Park and I had to make a last minute reservation because my prior hotel was overbooked from Hurricane Helene. I paid $332 for TWO nights and Priceline put me in the Quality Inn in Fort Mill. When I arrived with my teenage daughters, we were absolutely TERRIFIED by the hotel's location, dirtiness and the people that were lingering around the hotel. I could not stay there for safety and cleanliness concerns, so we ended up driving 20 minutes away to find another hotel and I had to pay DOUBLE for a new reservation. I immediately called Priceline and they stated that they would look into a full refund. I never heard back from them, so I called them the following Monday and I was told that they could only refund ONE night and there was nothing else that could be done.
They should NEVER have booked me in this hotel to begin with after seeing all of the horrible reviews... Hotel was dirty, bug infested and completely run down. Looked like hookers, truck drivers and homeless people stayed there. I have been a customer for over 10 years and I have to say I have had the worse experience with Priceline today that I plan to leave and start using other sites for booking all my hotels and vacation spots. Here is what happen: I have a new computer so I went to Priceline.com and tried to book a hotel to visit the doctors for my sister's cancer. After booking the hotel for $147 a night I realized I was not signed into my Priceline VIP account. When I went to call them the man (what sounded like a call center from INDIA) said nothing but I can't help you (Priceline please listen to the recording that you say you do). When I asked for manager or supervisor he said no good because it's a long wait. I said I would wait and he said ok and after a few seconds the call ended.
I called another number for VIP members and the lady said there is nothing she can do for me and I asked her I have used you and only you for the last years and this is the way you treat me? She said I could go online and fill out form to get a credit but will not work. I asked her: "is this the way you treat your loyal customers for 10 years". And she said, "I cannot help you sir." I then went online to file the price guarantee form online and you can't upload a picture more than 3MB large. If you want to upload a picture for all the items they are asking for for proof it takes a larger file. I uploaded the photo with all the information they asked for but smaller picture so the Priceline website would accept the file size.
Then I get back a email saying the picture does not give visible evidence to the lessor price. If the Priceline customer service would just expand the picture file they could see everything. (All computers have the expand button). So now I know how Priceline doesn't stand by their price guarantee. They don't allow you to download a big enough picture to show all the information they are asking for. (WHAT A SCAM on Priceline's part). As a very loyal customer - you have lost my business and I plan to write this review on other sites like Google because of Priceline's flat out lies when it comes to price guarantee and their own employees know it.
I will take my business elsewhere like Expedia, etc.. Expedia has always stood behind my wife when she booked flights, package deals and cars. Unlike Priceline for me. I hav even attached to this review the price of what I paid and dates and hotel and also the price listed on the website for hotel, date, price for Proof. They did not offer the chance to view the seating or pick seats, which isn’t uncommon of itself, I’ve encountered this in the past over the last 2 1/2 decades of flying internationally and domestically. But every other instance, the airline always always puts the child next to one of the parents. But not Priceline they put our child in the back of the plane with strangers in a center seat. And even after I spoke to the supervisor, they kept apologizing and saying they were sorry for the inconvenience! That word just rubs me raw, INCONVENIENCE. Now I’m on the third representative which her name was Pauline and said she’s the supervisor. Again I asked to be rerouted and she said there were no flights leaving Atlanta to get me home.
She then offered me a refund. I told her I need to get home. Not a refund, if I’m going to get a refund it’s going to need to be the full refund for my inconvenience due to the fact I’m already looking up my own ticket to get home and it cost me $311 plus taxes because I didn’t have faith in Priceline to get me home! Priceline was prepared to leave me stranded without knowing my current situation monetarily. I am the customer and had to do my own leg work to get back home safely. Not to mention the embarrassment that this caused. I was supposed to receive a call back which never happened as well. Again me as the customer is doing all the work, so I called Priceline back again after being extremely frustrated and exhausted with figuring out how to get myself home.
I have asked to speak to a manager not supervisor multiple times and was denied, I asked for a corporate phone number and the first time given a incorrect phone number, only to have to call back again and get another representative that was not able to help with my request. This is utterly unacceptable and ridiculous! I have worked in customer service for a large company for over 20+ years and would never send a customer through so much hassle!
To keep offering me $99 dollars and a discount for a rental car or hotel is a joke. I paid Priceline in good faith for a round trip ticket, that I’m supposed to be some type of vip member, wow is this how you treat vip and or any other customers, unacceptable. I’m sure you all don’t care about the fact you will be losing a little small customer and I will be deleting my account because who am I right. I will also be making sure my family and friends delete their accounts as well. All I’m asking is that you YOUR COMPANY MAKE THIS RIGHT

I unfortunately had to cancel my trip due to the fact that I had no one to care for our pets (FAMILY) due to unfortunate circumstances at the pet care facility. We lost over $1200 and paid for the insurance for this purpose. This is why we pay for insurance. For the “just in case”! Priceline was no help either, they unfortunately pawned me off here. Do NOT book through Priceline. When Hurricane Milton resulted in warnings for Orlando, we called the car company to cancel our booking. The company happily did so but warned us that Priceline would keep our rental money if we didn't cancel with Priceline. Priceline won't cancel or refund us. We didn't have travel insurance (which cost as much as our car rental, so what's the point), but you'd think a hurricane would be good cause for making an exception to the cancellation policy. For reference, we used Expedia for our hotel rental and they happily cancelled our reservation and told us to stay safe.

Do NOT use Priceline.com especially for renting a car. I used their service to rent a car which would have been rented at Dollar however Priceline.com did NOT disclose to me that if you use a debit card you have to have a good credit card or a plane ticket. I just only had my debit card. Dollar would not let me leave the lot w the car, but because I purchased insurance thru Priceline to cover my car rental, I had to have Priceline to refund me my money.
I also learned from Dollar that the insurance thru Priceline wouldn't be honored by Dollar in the event I got in a wreck. I just called Priceline this evening to find out that since 72 hrs had passed from the time and date (10/4) that I was to pick up my rental, I couldn't get a refund. Well like I explained to the agent and her supervisor, I couldn't get the car so therefore I didn't use the insurance. I have a reasonable thinking the hotel refunded customers and sent it to Priceline then Priceline hold it as its profit. So why do we book via Priceline and pay the same price. Priceline told me all they could not transfer my reservation and would be refund me. They told me to find another car rental of equal car classification and they would refund me for the rental.
I was stranded at the airport with no car and there were no cars available. I rented a car the next morning following Priceline directions to rent the same car class. When I submitted my receipt for reimbursement they then told me they would not reimburse me because my car rental was less than what I paid Priceline. Then then the receptionist told us that she had no rooms. Their visitor reservation was in the computer system, but they were overbooked that she may be able to get us one room with one king size bed for five people to share that they had no rooms on Saturday that we could go to the Best Western and check to see if they had any availability. Then I called Priceline to get a refund.

So I stayed. The room itself was fine, what I would expect for a budget hotel and it met my needs. However the lock was extremely stiff and I ended up getting trapped in my room. When I called the front desk, there as no answer.
I tried calling Priceline to see if they could call the hotel on my behalf, and they hung up on me. I tried calling again and was on hold for a long time. I considered screaming for help. Surely it is a fire hazard to be trapped in a room like that with only one exit. After 20 minutes of struggle, I finally got the door open. I found a staff person, but she did not speak good enough English to converse with. There was no one at the front desk, so I turned in my keys and left. I have tried to leave a review on the Priceline website, but can't find a way to do it. Multiple calls to Priceline, and no one knows how to leave a review. It is really quite unbelievable.

We called Priceline about this and they didn’t take any responsibility about the bad quality of the hotel.

While traveling, we needed a last minute hotel stay and decided to try to find a cheap place for the night through Priceline. The area we were staying, some of the hotels charged an extra damage deposit which we did not want to deal with so we called priceline before booking to make sure there were no hidden damage deposits etc. The CSR on the phone, while pleasant, barely spoke english. His name was Sergio. This was the WORST experience ever. I told him were were needing a room for that night and checking out the following day. I had to spell my name and everything else 2-3 times for him to understand. He confirmed we would not have to pay an extra deposit, he confirmed everything would be sent in an email which we appreciated because we could not understand half of what he said.
We go to the hotel only to find out he still spelled my name wrong and he booked it for the following Sunday which was completely useless to us as we were not going to be in the area then and still need a room for THAT night. When I call priceline I'm told it was not refundable, not modifiable and we were out the money we paid. I completely understand if I do not show up for a prepaid reservation you have every right to keep the money. But he put the wrong date in and that is not the date requested. I asked for it to be escalated to a supervisor and she told me they would have to review the recording and it would take at least 24 hours and we would receive an email.
Their conclusion: that I did indeed request September 7th but Sergio recapped the call so there would be no refund. So because we did not understand what he was saying and he was a complete idiot, we were out the money. Don't use priceline, too many hidden fees, hidden agendas and shadiness. With still nothing resolved for an extensive amount of time they call me back and say they see that I TRIED to cancel that date, which is correct I did in Initially TRY when by human error, hit the wrong date before realizing, after paying for it.
I tried immediately to cancel that date but they stated it’s NON refundable to cancel the first night of a stay (even way over a month out, on July 9). Therefore we said DON’T cancel the reservation then, we will just stay there that night. Well apparently Priceline cancelled it anyway! Also, without sending or stating confirmation in ANY way or form. So I had to pay $177.79 to stay when I had already paid for it!!
When trying to communicate with customer service multiple times and dates and explain that they were the ones that made the mistake, which we are human we do, but that’s their mistake they that they should reimburse me for . It’s not my fault they cancelled it after I clearly said, NO Don’t cancel it! Any they have hung up on me/muted my calls/saying they lost me/not calling me back/being rude and refusing to take accountability for their actions. They say t have the recording of me TRYING to cancel the reservation, well yeah but also in that recording you clearly hear me say No don’t cancel it then! Leave it alone! This has been a huge run around.
I have asked for proof of me (supposedly) cancelling and asking where is the confirmation email of the cancellation and they have NOT responded to me since. Then they do not do a walk-around inspection and tell you to just drive off the lot --"it's fine" (again, never happened before). My rental had 25K miles on it; I drove it less than 94 miles before returning it. They said I had 4 windshield chips and charged me for 2 at $70 for "windshield repair". We have chosen room for 265$ per One bedroom but when we have arrived we have been given small studio which cost was $191 per night… We have reached customer service right away but all we have heard that’s what their system says and no refund of price difference or any credit was given to us… as hotel was fully booked we spent our vacation at that small room for price of one bedroom twice bigger in size! I don’t recommend booking through them. It seems like scam. Be aware! Flight and car booking was fine though…

I recently (8/31/2024) rented a car from Thrifty Car Rental by the Philadelphia Int'l airport through Priceline. This was nothing short of a disaster. The folks at Thrifty were pleasant and took good care of me, however, the folks at Priceline (car rental department) could not hauve been any less accommodating than they were on the phone and online. Just awful. A few details. Not more than 15 minutes after I made my reservation, I wanted to change the rental from 5 days to 3. My plans had changed. They would not allow the change the number of days REALLY? I just made the darn reservation. I read as much of the contract as I possibly could to make sure this was the right choice for me but again, I decided to change the rental period. No help on the phone when I called. Not sympathetic at all.
Then, 3 days later I returned the car and was told over the phone by Priceline to go inside the rental office to complete the contract and when I went in the office, the staff told me, "Oh no we don't need you to come in just leave the keys in the car and you can leave!!!" Ugh! Then once I got home I received a copy of the final bill and they charged me $10.99 for a gallon of gas. Now, the price of gas in Philadelphia was $3.37 per gallon at the time. Is the price gauging? I believe so. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT RENT A CAR THROUGH PRICELINE. Disgraceful to take advantage of consumers this way.

Priceline will change the search information you input, such as dates and locations. Just review and check, so you don’t get taken by something different than what you were searching for.

I booked a reservation flight on June 11th for my mom from DTW to FOC on the Priceline website June 4th. We arrived at Delta Airlines with no issue and checked in. When my mom landed in LAX we were denied entry because our name on your system did not match with the name of passport, green card, and ID. We told the ticket agent that our flight from DTW to LAX was processed. On their side of the system both from Delta Airlines and Priceline they said our system name matches with the passport, ID, and green card.
Priceline was the travel agency we used. The ticket agent in LAX told us to call Priceline or China Eastern Airlines for the name change. I called priceline first and got a response within a minute and said 'in their system we have your name under BIXIA ** which matches identically with our passport. Then priceline said since the itinerary has been processed they can not make changes to something that is correct. Priceline said that China Eastern Airline should have the responsibility to change the name on their system. Priceline tried to get in contact with China Eastern Airline for over an hour on the phone both times and no response. Same with the travel agent who had two phones on the line and still nobody answered.
We were then informed by priceline to talk to the ticket desk and not by the ticket agent on the change of name on the system. The ticket agent dismissed us and did not inform us we could have changed our name on the ticket desk rather than being stuck with customer service. My mom did miss the flight from LAX to PVG. My mom was escorted out of China Eastern Airline. When I told my mom about changing the name at the ticket desk/ticket counter from Priceline advice. It was too late because China Eastern Airlines was already closed by 12:30 P.M. I had to buy a flight back to LAX to DWT.
I closed the itinerary with Priceline and they have emailed you twice on June 11th. All I need is for the China Eastern Airline accounting department to contact Priceline for the refund calculation. We ended up buying a flight back to DWT and if you do have compensation for that it will be much appreciated. We just need to contact Priceline as fast as possible so we can get the refund. Priceline has transferred us to China Eastern Airline to speak with an agent but could not get in contact with anyone because of the hold time or being hung up. Is it supposed to be Priceline's responsibility to get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airline and figure out the remaining calculation?
I can not get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airlines. Made multiple complaints on the Chinese Eastern Airline website and still no response. My mom did miss the flight to Fujian China and missed the family emergency. My grandma is in the hospital for surgery and unfortunately missed out because of the flight. Priceline makes millions of dollars per year, is it possible for them to give us the refund and their responsibility to ask the refund from Chinese Eastern Airline because they are the travel agency.
Priceline can get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airline but I can not. We just need the remaining calculation from China Eastern Airline, they have approved of the refund. I have made multiple contacts back and forth and still there has not been any solution? You guys have told me on the phone you will help with getting the remaining refund on the ticket. Why am I only getting the unused tax? Is there an explanation to not getting the refund? How much is the returning flight refund? Did you tell China Eastern Airlines that they cancelled the flight my mother was supposed to go to to visit her mother for a surgery. I had to pay out of my own pocket for a flight back. Did you tell them to cancel the no show policy? I had to book another flight the next month because my grandmother was in a coma and missed the surgery? Why haven't I got any calls?

But the floors were filthy and sticky and when I laid on the bed within a few minutes I was broke out in hives all over my neck. I then thought to check the mattress which was completely stained up with lots of brown stains.
I went and let Linzy at the front desk know that I was having an allergic reaction and could not stay. She told me to call priceline and she would refund both nights. She told priceline she didn't have the authority to refund. Priceline is saying they can/won't do anything about it at all. Just unreal that they won't refund any portion. It was booked for 2 nights, I stayed in the rm about 20 minutes the 1st day. Yet when I go into the trip it says cancelled. This is downright fraud in my opinion. I cancelled according to their terms, then they refused to refund me and also orchestrated it so that I have nothing to stand on with my card company.
I know eventually there will be a class action lawsuit after they do this to millions of "customers". I will never ever ever use Priceline or any of their sister companies again. I called Priceline and was told they would not refund my money until they spoke with the rental company, and they were not open today. My experience with Priceline has been absolutely appalling. I paid Priceline nearly $900 for a hotel reservation from 8/5/24 through 8/15/24. When I checked out of the hotel, I was provided a standard folio with my total for each night, including all taxes and fees. The hotels charges were over $100 less than what Priceline had charged me. I called Priceline immediately (8/15/24) and explained they had overcharged me by over $100. The agent apologized, contacted the hotel on my behalf and assured me they had already submitted a refund for the difference in prices upon checkout, and that it should be deposited within the next few business days. I waited until 8/23/24 and still no refund.
When I contacted Priceline again, the agent was very rude and dismissive saying they don't give refunds. I explained what the other agent had told me, he read her notes and told me that she was wrong, he refused to contact the hotel like she had and told me that this is all the hotel's fault because, and I quote "they were never supposed to tell you the real price because we have an arrangement with them to charge our own price". When I begrudgingly asked for a supervisor, he told me not to bother because they'll tell me the same thing. When I said he just lost Priceline a customer for life, he said "we respect your decision". I worked call center customer service all throughout college so I pride myself on being kind and respectful and I'm not the kind to request a sup, but man this guy was just awful.
When he finally agreed to transfer me (after asking multiple times), the supervisor read the first agent's notes, agreed she did tell me they would be refunding the $110 but that she had to contact the hotel to figure it out. 45 minutes into this call she comes back to tell me the manager of the hotel wasn't available so she was putting in a ticket for a call back. This morning I get an email saying simply "We were unable to obtain approval for a refund. Therefore, your reservation remains non-refundable and non-changeable." So, to everyone reading this review, know that Priceline charges whatever they want and they make the hotel agree to not tell you their real price because they jack it up to line their own pockets.
Their "Better Price Guarantee" is a complete lie, they have no intentions of ever providing a refund for the difference in what they charge vs what the hotel actually charged, let alone the ridiculous 200% refund they "guarantee" on their website. Their customer service is all out of country and they literally couldn't care less. I used Priceline today to book a room downtown Chicago, it was one of those specials in which you won’t know the hotel until you pay. So I click on choose room and it comes back as not available anymore. So I just started looking at other rooms, I just so happen to check my email for something my husband was sending me and I see an itinerary from Priceline, that was a red flag because they said the special was no longer available. Do I immediately go on my online banking and see that they have debited my account. So I called the hotel listed on the itinerary, they tell me that they do not have a reservation for me.
I called Priceline and of course they are giving me the runaround. So I called my bank and explained to them what was going on. They informed me that it was still pending and when it is clear and I don’t have a room they will get my money back from Priceline because it is then fraud!!!! I will never use Priceline again! I will use Expedia or another service. I will also tell my friends and relatives not to use them.

I contacted Priceline team for booking hotel at Niagara Falls.. One of the consultant helped me to get a good deal and he shared two links for two different deals in addition to that he clearly mentioned that link is valid for 24 hrs. When I try to book them after 40 minutes, both of them were not showing the deals also when I contacted them another person answered who was very rude and not listening to my words. Seems this site is not trustworthy. They need to teach their staff how to behave with customers.

I tried booking with Priceline for a package trip from Victoria, BC to Halifax, NS. We are looking to bring our infant daughter, who is one-and-a-half years old, and the option for her to sit on our lap showed up. Not having to buy another seat, of course we chose that option. But, nope -- Priceline says that flying from BC, Canada to Nova Scotia, Canada is an international flight, and she can therefore not sit in our laps. First of all, we have flown with her in our laps from Canada to Mexico last year and then again from Canada to Chile earlier on this year (both international flights,) and there were no issues. Second, Canada to Canada is a domestic flight.
Fine, it must be something with the website, so I call customer service. I was then informed that the system at Priceline will not let anyone book to have an infant in their lap if they are not flying within the USA, because Priceline is an "American company." I asked for a manager, so I could explain the situation and hopefully help them clear things up. Speaking with the manager, she really didn't care. She had no interest in passing on this glaring mistake, and claimed that it was Priceline's policy to not take care of customers that are not within the USA. She then asked "is there anything more I can help you with?" It's like she completely missed the point that I was helping them, not the other way around. Anyway, I found cheaper prices on Expedia, so it's all good for me.

I was redirected by Google to "Get a Room" without knowing it. I mistakenly booked a room for 2 nights instead of one. I tried to change or cancel/rebook and the penalty was 1 night stay, $420.00. Get a Room is owned by Priceline. I am very frustrated by the service from Get a Room/Priceline. Don't use them! Go direct to the hotel....

We recently booked a hotel through Priceline and we stayed at the super 8 hotel by Wyndham for 4 nights however we only ended up staying 2 nights there due to the intolerable conditions of the hotel. Roaches, a horrible smell like urine everywhere. No towel service. That was actually the least of our concerns based on the unhealthy conditions of our stay. Anyway when we checked out we asked for a refund of the 2 remaining nights and we were told to contact our third party who we booked our trip with PRICELINE. Now we are getting bounce around and PRICELINE is telling us that is not up to them. Who do we believe??? This is a perfect scenario of bad customer service. No other way to put it. Never again with PRICELINE.

Our family was planning a trip to Branson, MO. I saw this “wonderful deal” in Priceline---$84 per night for a “3-star” hotel during the Independent long weekend so I booked it. The total cost is $309.15. The name of this “3-star” is Red Lion Inn & Suites Branson. If you enjoy cleaning up a toilet and bringing all the trash cans out to a dumpster in a parking lot to empty the trash every day while staying in a “3-star hotel”, this is a perfect place that you would like to stay in Branson, MO. Priceline tags it as a 3-star hotel but I would call it a “ghost motel”…
When arriving in the hotel around 5 pm, I did not see any other cars in the parking lot but one just like a “ghost motel”…I once even thought that we were in the wrong place. Later in the front desk, we did see another couple with a girl. The smart husband was actually calling Priceline and asking for a cancellation or partial refund when we were checking in which we later found out. When we moved our luggage into the room and eventually we found out that: 1. The toilet was dirty so I had to clean it up by myself. 2. The cable TV and Wifi worked for the first 10 minutes and then downed for the rest of time we stayed there. 3. Stained towels/blankets. 4. Spider webs in the corner.
We have not filed a complaint yet at this time. The next morning we went to the breakfast bar for breakfast and found out that the breads on the desktop had expired in May (about two month ago) so we did not eat any of them. Later we found out that there were three employees only for this hotel so there is no service at all as a result I had to bring all the trash cans out to the big dumpster in the parking lot and empty every day. Also we had to go to the front desk every day to ask for towels/bar soaps/bath tissues. We later complained all these to the front desk…was told that we would need to file a complaint to Priceline for we booked the hotel via them.
On the third day, I met that couple who filed a complaint with Priceline who we met in the first day and was told that Priceline had agreed to issue a 20% refund back to them. I then called Priceline and filed a formal complaint asking for a partial fund. Per Priceline, this “ghost motel” is correctly rated as a 3-star hotel…the rating was done by customers not Priceline. I have called Priceline multiple times to follow up on my complaint. Priceline finally states that they have contacted the hotel owner but the owner won’t agree to refund any so no refund to us.
Hopefully you have a chance to read this review before booking so you won’t have to pay a 3 star hotel price with Priceline to stay in a “ghost motel” like this. Priceline: please stop false ads (tag a “ghost motel” as a 3-star hotel). Please stop treating customers differently…The another family have 20% refund back but we get nothing.

I took a trip to Seattle to surprise my 8 year old granddaughter who has HLHS (half a heart). She has had 3 open hear surgeries with her 4th this December. The hotel Days Inn in SeaTac was by far the most traumatic experience I've ever had. I booked through Priceline, I called to tell them I had to leave with both my grand children due to an enraged patron who stayed underneath us. If you walk across the floor it would rattle the furniture causing it to bang against the wall. My grand daughter is very tiny, and my grandson or I are heavy foot. The patron came to my room and turned psycho banging his fists on my door, my granddaughter was terrified. Management stated he said the children were jumping on the beds and jumping on the floor which neither was true. Management REFUSED to move me as I requested several times which lead to me calling the cops and for our safety leaving at 12:30 am.
Priceline initially offered me a 15% discount in which I stated NO WAY!! I want my money back. She stated because they were a third party there was nothing they could do. I asked for her supervisor, she told me she was it, I stated FALSE. Everyone has someone higher up, she transferred me to her supervisor who in turn stated she would look into this, called the hotel in which they hung up on her, she called them back and they informed her I was lying and I never made any complaints. She stated due to this she could offer me a 20% discount!! WHAT AN INSULT.
I am now working on a complaint with the Days Inn Corporate office and will also work on one with Priceline. They not only are willing to make things right, I feel they are adding to the traumatic experience. I called the police, the hotel manager said he was going to kick the guy out, was going to review the audio and video in which HAD HE DONE SO he would be able to see this crazy deranged lunatic not only made his way from the 3rd floor up to our floor to threaten, harass and scare us. There are no words for not believing me, looking further into this and making this right!! I will not stop until this is corrected!! Do not use this website or Days Inn in SeaTac.

I rented a car thru Priceline from Fox car rental in Oakland. When I went to pick up the car they said it would not be here for several hours. So they hooked me up with an additional larger car, of course at a higher price. When I went out to the lot it was an suv which I had no intention of driving and I went back to the counter. They sure enough found me another smaller car. But still said there was an additional charge. Second they said there was a $100 security deposit. Which later they changed to charges for bridges and tolls. I called Priceline and they basically too bad. Both companies are not worth doing business with. Professional scammers!

DON’T DO IT!! I went through Priceline to purchase a rental car. They matched me with FOX rentals. I drove almost 2 hours to get my rental that I purchased through Priceline only to get there and be told that they’ll be a very pricey hold needed to be placed on my card. Miriam told me that it would be $500 then $700 then $800 needed to be held on my card. I was not expecting that. So in the end I wasn’t able to get the car and was told that I would not be given a refund from Priceline for my money I already paid online to get the rental. BAD BUSINESS!

Booked a car through Priceline that was to be provided through Sixth rental. Lost my driver's license before vehicle pick up so was informed by Sixth agent that I would have to call Priceline so they can change the name on the reservation to my spouse as they cannot modify Third party reservations. In attempt to contact Priceline, there is no live human being to reach and help you with the process. When the Priceline number is called, it confirms the existing booking you have and tells you if any modification need to be made, Sixth rental needs to be contacted. System proceeds to forward your call to the rental agency. This is an endless loop and such a terrible experience. Not their fault for me losing my wallet but the fact that there is no line of support is mind-blowing. Will never do business with Priceline again and will strongly advocate against their services and their platform.
