I have been VIP member for long time and recently I was booking a package “airline and hotel” for my honeymoon with them. I called them and they send me a quote then I get the airline ticket from them and the hotel in a separate email from Booking while I have booked everything through them and when I was paying the hotel, I found out it’s extra 180$ and I called customer service and they told me this extra amount is the property fees. While on their website they include the property fees and taxes in their price. Couple days later I checked booking and I found the rate was lower for the same room type from what I got from them but it was too late to cancel. Customer service was horrible and I will never use them again.

Just booked 8 tickets for destination wedding thru Priceline. After being quoted the price and link sent I went ahead and booked flight and selected my seats. 6 hrs later I requested if I could get 2 more seats at the same price. I received that link and went ahead and booked those flights and selected the seats… Paid with credit card. 24hrs later I started receiving emails and calls requesting passport information on the 10 adult passengers… we responded with all information within the next 24 hrs.

Was a bit surprised they didn’t explain this process request at the time of my inquiry to purchase seats… Well 48 hours later I received an email saying they could not sell me one of the seats for the price they sold/gave me… went from $519 to over $1200. Keep in mind this applied to only one of the seats that was booked and sold from the original group… It was a classic bait and switch or an attempt to discriminate against a person in my party… Absolute fraud and classic bait and switch cause now we are stuck.

I bought two round trip tickets to Penang Malaysia. From Kuala lumpur from Priceline at a very good price. Tried to find out bag cost and it was not visibly available, upon check in we were told the cost was 10 dollars a kilo. This was with Batik air, that made our two suitcases and carry ons they were also charging us for over 500.00 dollars!!! Our tickets were 75.00 dollars. That's criminal what priceline and Batik did to us. Sad part is I've been using priceline for 15 years and I'm a vip platinum member. It didn't make a difference when I talked to priceline. It's just heartbreaking what this world has come to. To resort to using tactics like that. Kelly ** is my name.

I booked a flight with them going to Belize (San Pedro). I checked online to see how far the airport was from the resort and it was 12 minutes. When I received my itinerary it said that the flight lands in Belize City which is an hour Taxi ride to a ferry that is a 2 hour ride to San Pedro. The Taxi ride to the ferry is $70.00 per person and the ferry ride is also $70.00 per person. I already had a 3 hour flight to Houston and another 3 hour flight to Belize, now a taxi and a water ferry. So I'm actually losing 2 days of my vacation just in travel. Priceline should have informed me of this before booking in which they failed to do. So, when I tried to cancel they gave me a full day of runaround before I could get anything done on this vacation package and it really sucks that you have to go through stuff like this, because of their lack of professionalism.

I will NEVER use Priceline ever again. They are higher priced than just going direct through the hotel. We had 2 bad experiences at hotels where the managers offered discounts due to the issues but Priceline would not give US that discount even after I spoke directly with both hotel managers. The managers said Priceline is a horrible service as well and suggested not using them.

Booking with Priceline has been fine, but had to change my email address and they do not have a way to update your email on their system if it changes by more than 3 characters. So if you change from one carrier to another or update your existing address for any reason you are stuck. I called the customer service and spoke to a supervisor and they said their system is not set up to allow changes to the email address. Have to set up a new account with the new email in order to receive emails of your itinerary, updates etc.

However your current trips and or booking will not transfer to the new account and any past history of trips and bookings will not be accessible and any points credits for multiple use will be lost. Hard to believe a big company like this does not have a more customer friendly system in this regard. Also the customer reps were clearly from India or some other country and could not escalate my complaint any further. Basically said "we're sorry we cannot help you". May switch online travel services...

I recently booked a express hotel deal through Priceline and prior to booking was given an example of some of the 3-3.5 star hotels I may be booked at. Upon completing my reservation I learned that I was booked at a Best Western. I immediately called Priceline and was told that the reservation was non-refundable even though I tried explaining that Best Western was not a hotel they had indicated I could expect to be booked at which is misrepresentation. Ended up rebooking at another hotel and had to file a dispute with my credit card company to try and get my money back.

Showed up at the property and said they’d fix it if the 3rd party (Priceline) would be willing to refund the $, and a Priceline customer service member told me the hotel said “no”. I believe Priceline is a scam that will change your dates on purpose so you might intentionally make this mistake. I need to retract my recent complaint regarding car rental in Florence Italy and Priceline. Prior to arriving back in the USA, I could not reach a person at Priceline to discuss my dilemma, only Penny, a robot. This was a poor, not productive experience. However, this morning after arriving back in the USA, I spoke to a polite Priceline representative who solved my dilemma and my credit card has been credited. Thank you Priceline for your diligent follow-up.

    Original Review: Sept. 7, 2024

I rented a car through Priceline for our 2-day family get together for a wedding in Florence Italy. The website did not indicate the mandatory requirement of an international driver's license. When we arrived at the Europcar office in downtown Florence, we and 4 other parties were turned down for picking up their car rentals. There were no options except to rent from an agency across the the street at twice the price plus losing the money on the Priceline rental. I understand non-refundable policy when it would be my fault, but not Priceline's fault. I have only been able to speak to a computer AI so far, to no avail.

Hertz at the Oklahoma City airport is stealing your money. We used Priceline to get the best rate but did not understand at the time that Hertz makes up the difference by not giving you receipt when you turn the car in and putting charges like "windshield chips" at $35 per chip on your final bill. I was ripped off along with another around me. When you check in they keep your card open for "incidentals" which never happened to me before. Then they do not do a walk-around inspection and tell you to just drive off the lot --"it's fine" (again, never happened before). My rental had 25K miles on it; I drove it less than 94 miles before returning it. They said I had 4 windshield chips and charged me for 2 at $70 for "windshield repair". I could not see any of these chips. Recommend do not do business with Hertz anywhere at any time. They are thieves.

When I arrived at the airport, the car rental company informed me that my car was rented at an entirely different airport. Obviously, I had to rent another car for my trip. Priceline never disclosed this to me during the booking. I spent 45 minutes on hold with Priceline the next day, and was told I couldn't get a refund because I didn't call them the day I landed at the airport. I was told I would be contacted by Priceline in the next 5 days to be offered a solution, but they never contacted me. So I'm out over $250 because Priceline rented me a car at the wrong airport. I was so upset, then they send me to go to Fox Car Rental, they wanted $500 deposit, omg! Then, Fox send me to SIXT…. That was an amazing, emotional, great experience. They all were so helpful, amazing, supportive, compassionate and professional with me! It was such an easy quick process. Very affordable! Then, I noticed Priceline hasn’t refunded the $76.

The lady in Ace Rental car told me you will get your refund back. I just called Priceline, they had no idea what happened! They told me the $26 is non refundable after 72 hours. Requested Supervisor Marcelo, sorry but that he couldn’t refund me the car insurance fee $26 back! My refund was $50. So, literally paid $26 for car insurance without a rental! Nothing was explained! I recently (8/31/2024) rented a car from Thrifty Car Rental by the Philadelphia Int'l airport through Priceline. This was nothing short of a disaster. The folks at Thrifty were pleasant and took good care of me, however, the folks at Priceline (car rental department) could not hauve been any less accommodating than they were on the phone and online. Just awful. A few details. Not more than 15 minutes after I made my reservation, I wanted to change the rental from 5 days to 3. My plans had changed. They would not allow the change the number of days REALLY? I just made the darn reservation. I read as much of the contract as I possibly could to make sure this was the right choice for me but again, I decided to change the rental period. No help on the phone when I called. Not sympathetic at all.

Then, 3 days later I returned the car and was told over the phone by Priceline to go inside the rental office to complete the contract and when I went in the office, the staff told me, "Oh no we don't need you to come in just leave the keys in the car and you can leave!!!" Ugh! Then once I got home I received a copy of the final bill and they charged me $10.99 for a gallon of gas. Now, the price of gas in Philadelphia was $3.37 per gallon at the time. Is the price gauging? I believe so. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT RENT A CAR THROUGH PRICELINE. Disgraceful to take advantage of consumers this way.

I booked a reservation flight on June 11th for my mom from DTW to FOC on the Priceline website June 4th. We arrived at Delta Airlines with no issue and checked in. When my mom landed in LAX we were denied entry because our name on your system did not match with the name of passport, green card, and ID. We told the ticket agent that our flight from DTW to LAX was processed. On their side of the system both from Delta Airlines and Priceline they said our system name matches with the passport, ID, and green card.

Priceline was the travel agency we used. The ticket agent in LAX told us to call Priceline or China Eastern Airlines for the name change. I called priceline first and got a response within a minute and said 'in their system we have your name under BIXIA ** which matches identically with our passport. Then priceline said since the itinerary has been processed they can not make changes to something that is correct. Priceline said that China Eastern Airline should have the responsibility to change the name on their system. Priceline tried to get in contact with China Eastern Airline for over an hour on the phone both times and no response. Same with the travel agent who had two phones on the line and still nobody answered.

We were then informed by priceline to talk to the ticket desk and not by the ticket agent on the change of name on the system. The ticket agent dismissed us and did not inform us we could have changed our name on the ticket desk rather than being stuck with customer service. My mom did miss the flight from LAX to PVG. My mom was escorted out of China Eastern Airline. When I told my mom about changing the name at the ticket desk/ticket counter from Priceline advice. It was too late because China Eastern Airlines was already closed by 12:30 P.M. I had to buy a flight back to LAX to DWT.

I closed the itinerary with Priceline and they have emailed you twice on June 11th. All I need is for the China Eastern Airline accounting department to contact Priceline for the refund calculation. We ended up buying a flight back to DWT and if you do have compensation for that it will be much appreciated. We just need to contact Priceline as fast as possible so we can get the refund. Priceline has transferred us to China Eastern Airline to speak with an agent but could not get in contact with anyone because of the hold time or being hung up. Is it supposed to be Priceline's responsibility to get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airline and figure out the remaining calculation?

I can not get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airlines. Made multiple complaints on the Chinese Eastern Airline website and still no response. My mom did miss the flight to Fujian China and missed the family emergency. My grandma is in the hospital for surgery and unfortunately missed out because of the flight. Priceline makes millions of dollars per year, is it possible for them to give us the refund and their responsibility to ask the refund from Chinese Eastern Airline because they are the travel agency.

Priceline can get in contact with Chinese Eastern Airline but I can not. We just need the remaining calculation from China Eastern Airline, they have approved of the refund. I have made multiple contacts back and forth and still there has not been any solution? You guys have told me on the phone you will help with getting the remaining refund on the ticket. Why am I only getting the unused tax? Is there an explanation to not getting the refund? How much is the returning flight refund? Did you tell China Eastern Airlines that they cancelled the flight my mother was supposed to go to to visit her mother for a surgery. I had to pay out of my own pocket for a flight back. Did you tell them to cancel the no show policy? I had to book another flight the next month because my grandmother was in a coma and missed the surgery? Why haven't I got any calls?

Then the responsibility is on you, the consumer, to get your money back as the hotel and car company charged me. I had to go through my credit card company for reimbursement. Too many risks, unknowns in this process for me going forward to use this company.

Then I had to Uber back to the airport, only 1 company out of all that were there had cars available. I paid 3 times the amount Priceline quoted me. They sent me an email stating they would pay the difference, I sent all receipts and I have not only not received the additional funds, they didn't acknowledge my sending it. The following day, I checked out the car. It had both front tires were bald, there was a crack on the passenger side window, and the license plate had expired in May. I rented this car 31 July. I returned the car on the 3rd of Aug. I was supposed have the car until the 7th. Priceline is a downright scummy company. I booked a hotel with them and then canceled less than an hour later within their terms and they are refusing to refund me. They also never sent me a cancellation email so when I tried to do a chargeback there is no way to prove it. They had me call to cancel and all I can prove with that is that I called them. Yet when I go into the trip it says cancelled. This is downright fraud in my opinion. I cancelled according to their terms, then they refused to refund me and also orchestrated it so that I have nothing to stand on with my card company.

I know eventually there will be a class action lawsuit after they do this to millions of "customers". I will never ever ever use Priceline or any of their sister companies again. The fraud has been reported to the FTC, hopefully anyone else who has these same fraud issues does the same and at some point the FTC launches an investigation into their fraudulent activities.

Due to the possibility the flight is canceled and they are stranded with no chaperone. MAKES SENSE!! They could not change my ticket because it was booked through Priceline. So, I call priceline and am told they will reach out to me the next morning with a different flight. The morning comes with NO phone call. So I call. I am on hold for forever just to be told there is an open ticket and I'll have a phone call the next day.

The next day comes and goes with NO PHONE CALL!! Once again I am forced to call! I'm then told a refund was issued and there is nothing they could do. Their software should have caught the issue and I will have my refund in 10-12 business days. Meanwhile I don't have another $600 to throw at another ticket and am forced to drive from Ohio to Minnesota to get my child so she can get back in Time for school. I just received my refund and it took 15 Days!! Absolutely disgusted with priceline. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

When I contacted the hotel, they said they never got the reservation or the one night fee.

Facts the hotel said it never got the alleged reservation or any funds deposited. We have confirmation emails on all these details. We uploaded all docs to Discover. Initially Discover re credited the 198.00 to our account. One month later they reversed their decision in favor of the cheating priceline company. Fact this is stealing on the part of priceline. I can't believe my terrible service and purchase experience with Priceline.com. I rented a car to pick up later that day. Minutes later I received a call from our local Enterprise rental care desk telling us they didn't have a car and we needed to talk to Priceline about a refund as they have no responsibility in the matter. I called Priceline and was told they would not refund my money until they spoke with the rental company, and they were not open today. I expressed my rental was for today, and they rented me the car and all I'm asking for was my money back since it's not available. I asked to speak with a supervisor (whose name was Honey) and I pointed out the rental company was open as they called us.

Honey said she would call them and they after a long wait (45+ minutes) told me I would have to call Enterprise to request a cancellation. I pointed out again they rented me a car not available and I want my money back; plus I still needed a car for later that day. After another long hold I was told my money would be refunded in one business day. I will never use Priceline again and unless you want to be sold a product or service that might not be available and then get bounced back and forth between companies while they try to keep your money; I would recommend you don't as well.

My experience with Priceline has been absolutely appalling. I paid Priceline nearly $900 for a hotel reservation from 8/5/24 through 8/15/24. When I checked out of the hotel, I was provided a standard folio with my total for each night, including all taxes and fees. The hotels charges were over $100 less than what Priceline had charged me. I called Priceline immediately (8/15/24) and explained they had overcharged me by over $100. The agent apologized, contacted the hotel on my behalf and assured me they had already submitted a refund for the difference in prices upon checkout, and that it should be deposited within the next few business days. I waited until 8/23/24 and still no refund.

When I contacted Priceline again, the agent was very rude and dismissive saying they don't give refunds. I explained what the other agent had told me, he read her notes and told me that she was wrong, he refused to contact the hotel like she had and told me that this is all the hotel's fault because, and I quote "they were never supposed to tell you the real price because we have an arrangement with them to charge our own price". When I begrudgingly asked for a supervisor, he told me not to bother because they'll tell me the same thing. When I said he just lost Priceline a customer for life, he said "we respect your decision". I worked call center customer service all throughout college so I pride myself on being kind and respectful and I'm not the kind to request a sup, but man this guy was just awful.

When he finally agreed to transfer me (after asking multiple times), the supervisor read the first agent's notes, agreed she did tell me they would be refunding the $110 but that she had to contact the hotel to figure it out. 45 minutes into this call she comes back to tell me the manager of the hotel wasn't available so she was putting in a ticket for a call back. This morning I get an email saying simply "We were unable to obtain approval for a refund. Therefore, your reservation remains non-refundable and non-changeable." So, to everyone reading this review, know that Priceline charges whatever they want and they make the hotel agree to not tell you their real price because they jack it up to line their own pockets.

Their "Better Price Guarantee" is a complete lie, they have no intentions of ever providing a refund for the difference in what they charge vs what the hotel actually charged, let alone the ridiculous 200% refund they "guarantee" on their website. Their customer service is all out of country and they literally couldn't care less. Absolutely outrageous. 0/10, will never recommend or use them again and will 100% be telling everyone about the absolute scam that is Priceline.

The rental car company priceline use for bundle is Routes Rental car. This company is a scam. I went to Houston, TX for a wedding and upon arriving at airport I got picked up and taken to rental car company which by the way is not at airport, it's in the middle of an parking lot for Park and Fly parking lot. There was this little shack no bigger than a shed. You talk to an tv screen, no present reps except on screen. You get there and action. Ok so when you book with priceline you are advised there are other service fees per rental car company. Well a under statement, I paid $121 more than expected, that's another rental car.

I advised rep I had insure for collision and my credit card covers also. They insured ok and charged me anyways, they email paperwork, they ask if I wanted the toll basic 9.99 or another one for 20+ a day, not explaining the basic 9.99 only is for a device on car not paying toll. Why would you charge someone that without booking toll. Also the tag is in your name how does that benefit me? I later found out it's cheaper to go to the toll app and get an electronic device to use. I really should have did my research because this same company was reported to Houston News for shady rental activity news KPRC 2 investigations.

I first called company after viewing my bill then reported issues to priceline. They did their research, got response back, basically same lie company stated to me, no one couldn't answer why they charge me collision still. If that was case I would have given my car insurance, they never verified my credit card has it either. My issue with priceline is you send your customers to shady people to get ripped off, I now see all the bewares online about priceline rental car company after paying for rental car with you. We have a right to decline collision in my state for rental if we are covered, why would they just charge anyway? What's done is done but after reporting to priceline I was not satisfied, neither were many other people were happy, after sending documents to show they should not be sending their customers to them.

I priceline is off my list. I prefer to use a company that takes the time to hear the customer view and at least thoroughly investigate all reports not just mine but hear the voice of their customers. Don't pretend priceline this is the First you have heard of this company having complaint on because it's all in the news, do us a favor and read the signs and make decision for the people you claim to brand for. I tried booking with Priceline for a package trip from Victoria, BC to Halifax, NS. We are looking to bring our infant daughter, who is one-and-a-half years old, and the option for her to sit on our lap showed up. Not having to buy another seat, of course we chose that option. But, nope -- Priceline says that flying from BC, Canada to Nova Scotia, Canada is an international flight, and she can therefore not sit in our laps. First of all, we have flown with her in our laps from Canada to Mexico last year and then again from Canada to Chile earlier on this year (both international flights,) and there were no issues. Second, Canada to Canada is a domestic flight.

Fine, it must be something with the website, so I call customer service. I was then informed that the system at Priceline will not let anyone book to have an infant in their lap if they are not flying within the USA, because Priceline is an "American company." I asked for a manager, so I could explain the situation and hopefully help them clear things up. Speaking with the manager, she really didn't care. She had no interest in passing on this glaring mistake, and claimed that it was Priceline's policy to not take care of customers that are not within the USA. She then asked "is there anything more I can help you with?" It's like she completely missed the point that I was helping them, not the other way around. Anyway, I found cheaper prices on Expedia, so it's all good for me.

Our family was planning a trip to Branson, MO. I saw this “wonderful deal” in Priceline---$84 per night for a “3-star” hotel during the Independent long weekend so I booked it. The total cost is $309.15. The name of this “3-star” is Red Lion Inn & Suites Branson. If you enjoy cleaning up a toilet and bringing all the trash cans out to a dumpster in a parking lot to empty the trash every day while staying in a “3-star hotel”, this is a perfect place that you would like to stay in Branson, MO. Priceline tags it as a 3-star hotel but I would call it a “ghost motel”…

When arriving in the hotel around 5 pm, I did not see any other cars in the parking lot but one just like a “ghost motel”…I once even thought that we were in the wrong place. Later in the front desk, we did see another couple with a girl. The smart husband was actually calling Priceline and asking for a cancellation or partial refund when we were checking in which we later found out. When we moved our luggage into the room and eventually we found out that: 1. The toilet was dirty so I had to clean it up by myself. 2. The cable TV and Wifi worked for the first 10 minutes and then downed for the rest of time we stayed there. 3. Stained towels/blankets. 4. Spider webs in the corner.

We have not filed a complaint yet at this time. The next morning we went to the breakfast bar for breakfast and found out that the breads on the desktop had expired in May (about two month ago) so we did not eat any of them. Later we found out that there were three employees only for this hotel so there is no service at all as a result I had to bring all the trash cans out to the big dumpster in the parking lot and empty every day. Also we had to go to the front desk every day to ask for towels/bar soaps/bath tissues. We later complained all these to the front desk…was told that we would need to file a complaint to Priceline for we booked the hotel via them.

On the third day, I met that couple who filed a complaint with Priceline who we met in the first day and was told that Priceline had agreed to issue a 20% refund back to them. I then called Priceline and filed a formal complaint asking for a partial fund. Per Priceline, this “ghost motel” is correctly rated as a 3-star hotel…the rating was done by customers not Priceline. I have called Priceline multiple times to follow up on my complaint. Priceline finally states that they have contacted the hotel owner but the owner won’t agree to refund any so no refund to us.

Hopefully you have a chance to read this review before booking so you won’t have to pay a 3 star hotel price with Priceline to stay in a “ghost motel” like this. Priceline: please stop false ads (tag a “ghost motel” as a 3-star hotel). Please stop treating customers differently…The another family have 20% refund back but we get nothing.

I took a trip to Seattle to surprise my 8 year old granddaughter who has HLHS (half a heart). She has had 3 open hear surgeries with her 4th this December. The hotel Days Inn in SeaTac was by far the most traumatic experience I've ever had. I booked through Priceline, I called to tell them I had to leave with both my grand children due to an enraged patron who stayed underneath us. If you walk across the floor it would rattle the furniture causing it to bang against the wall. My grand daughter is very tiny, and my grandson or I are heavy foot. The patron came to my room and turned psycho banging his fists on my door, my granddaughter was terrified. Management stated he said the children were jumping on the beds and jumping on the floor which neither was true. Management REFUSED to move me as I requested several times which lead to me calling the cops and for our safety leaving at 12:30 am.

Priceline initially offered me a 15% discount in which I stated NO WAY!! I want my money back. She stated because they were a third party there was nothing they could do. I asked for her supervisor, she told me she was it, I stated FALSE. Everyone has someone higher up, she transferred me to her supervisor who in turn stated she would look into this, called the hotel in which they hung up on her, she called them back and they informed her I was lying and I never made any complaints. She stated due to this she could offer me a 20% discount!! WHAT AN INSULT.

I am now working on a complaint with the Days Inn Corporate office and will also work on one with Priceline. They not only are willing to make things right, I feel they are adding to the traumatic experience. I called the police, the hotel manager said he was going to kick the guy out, was going to review the audio and video in which HAD HE DONE SO he would be able to see this crazy deranged lunatic not only made his way from the 3rd floor up to our floor to threaten, harass and scare us. There are no words for not believing me, looking further into this and making this right!! I will not stop until this is corrected!! Do not use this website or Days Inn in SeaTac.

They sure enough found me another smaller car. But still said there was an additional charge. Second they said there was a $100 security deposit. Which later they changed to charges for bridges and tolls. I called Priceline and they basically too bad. Both companies are not worth doing business with. Professional scammers!

In attempt to contact Priceline, there is no live human being to reach and help you with the process. When the Priceline number is called, it confirms the existing booking you have and tells you if any modification need to be made, Sixth rental needs to be contacted. System proceeds to forward your call to the rental agency. This is an endless loop and such a terrible experience. Not their fault for me losing my wallet but the fact that there is no line of support is mind-blowing. When I saw a booking for an upgraded room on Priceline at such a good deal, I jumped at the opportunity. I booked immediately and emailed the hotel to confirm my reservation. The hotel responded, confirming my reservation but stated that I would be staying in a regular room instead of the upgraded one I booked. The next day, I called Priceline to explain that my reservation was for an upgraded room, not a regular one. They assured me they would look into it and get back to me. A month passed with no response. After following up via email with no reply, I called again. This time, Priceline informed me that the upgraded room I booked was not available at the time of booking, so they placed me in a regular room instead.

This is unacceptable for two reasons:

    1. I distinctly remember checking the hotel’s website and seeing that the upgraded room was available when I booked.

    2. It is unreasonable to downgrade my reservation without my consent and expect me to be satisfied with it.

I eventually found a customer service manager’s email and reached out directly. They responded, suggesting that I contact the hotel myself to arrange and pay for the room upgrade, with the promise of reimbursement upon sending them a receipt. I find it completely unacceptable that Priceline would place the burden on me, their customer, to rectify a mistake they made. Furthermore, the hotel operates in a different time zone, with business hours that do not align with mine, making this process even more difficult. When I expressed my discomfort with paying for the upgrade upfront and asked why Priceline couldn’t handle it directly, they simply responded that they couldn’t do it. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. This was my first time using Priceline, and it will certainly be my last.

I hate that I have to come on Trustpilot to complain but I feel like it is a valuable resource to working people like me. I book hotels regularly for my employees, and myself, for business and personal travel. I use Priceline for booking flights, they are good and fair on the prices for these. Transparent and you pay what they say you will. However when you book a hotel, the price they show you is nowhere near what you will actually pay.

Case in point, I just booked 2 nights for my employee in Salina, KS, and I looked at CLC Lodging and Priceline, they were similar in price. So I called Priceline reservations to add my driver's name to reservation. When the CSR told me the total price, I told her that seemed awful high and was it taxes and fees, she said just taxes. I asked again? Are you sure? She assured me yes that it was. So as soon as I got off the phone, I checked CLC Lodging, and their total price was 196.78 and Priceline 228.90 Hotel subtotal $175.74. Price per night $87.87. Number of nights 2. Taxes and fees $53.24. Total charged $228.9

This is straight off of my itinerary. I have spent the last hour trying to get them to price match the total price but they won't. I feel that their tactics are very deceptive and non-transparent. Had the CSR told me that truth, I would of said - Thank you but I will book thru CLC Lodging, who are totally transparent and do not charge huge fees. It is only a matter of $30 but I do not like to be lied, fooled, or mislead, it is a matter of integrity and honesty to me. Some weeks I book several reservations a week and this could add up. I explained to the rep that I purchased the trip protection plan and according to that plan, my trip would be refunded 100% in full if I had to cancel the trip.

I spoke to several different reps at Priceline and NO ONE  took the time to stand behind a product or service that they advertise on their site as protection of a cancelled trip. There is nowhere on the company website for Priceline or the protection plan company (Xcover) that states I will NOT receive my full refund if I purchase an economy (basic) seat. The airline's policy has nothing to do with the purchase I made with Priceline and the Trip Protection I paid for that was advertised during my purchase.

I purchased the TRIP PROTECTION for a reason and I won't have the money that I paid to Priceline paid back to me in full at 100% ASAP. For the record I have also reached out to the protection plan service (claim # **) about my refund and I only received an email from them. I rented a car in Puerto Rico through Priceline, I paid $104 for eight days of collision damage protection. When I went to pick up the car at NU Car Rentals at the San Juan Airport the collision insurance was not accepted and the employee told me that Priceline knew about this and gave me a paper confirming that the insurance Priceline sold me was not accepted. I purchased additional collision insurance from NU car rental company for $35 daily for 8 days.

When I returned the car, I called Priceline. They did not refund my money because I supposedly had 72 hrs to cancel the insurance. The manager informed me that there was nothing she could do and advised me to contact rentalcover.com to see if they had the dignity to refund the money.. I called rentalcover.com and left a message and to this day no-one has not contacted me. It is extremely disappointing that a company like Priceline would deceive people like this. I made a financial sacrifice to rent the car and I'm really not psyched to lose $104. Lesson learned. First & last time I would use Priceline.

Terrible vacation package through Priceline! Resort was dirty and room or should I say 3rd room was way below par with: dirty bedding and headboard, faulty air conditioning, safe worked part time, shower wouldn’t drain, hot shower 1/4 of the time, all pillows, bedding, and couch stained. Grounds had green stagnant water everywhere with overflowing garbage cans and garbage on tables and poolside everywhere. 24/7 room service did not ever answer phone. Customer service at resort and at Priceline would not verify if I would be reimbursed if I left early. Wanted to leave 2nd night! Also- do not fly Spirit Airlines - they were part of the package- they “lost” our checked luggage and we never received it until 3 1/2 days later! We never check luggage and this was our first time, not by choice! So we incurred expenses for clothes and toiletries and we can’t get through to Spirit for reimbursement (the law) after many many attempts. Vacation- no not at all!

Forgot to mention that a private sedan transportation to and from airport that I paid extra for never showed or answered their phone. Taxi to and from was an added expense. As an experienced traveler, I know how things should be and from start to end, this vacation was a disappointing disaster! Conclusion of reimbursement - Priceline consulted with resort (Grand Bavaro Princess) and was told that customer enjoyed their vacation with all the amenities and delectable food- Ha- don’t use Priceline, Grand Bavaro Princess, or Spirit Airlines!

Hotel said they had NO ROOMS like those shown in Priceline photo. Priceline actually said "this is a picture of the room". Hotel management was unwilling to resolve or refund and told me I could sleep on the floor. At that point I had to find another hotel and pay on the spot. Priceline had no support number for Turkey, no support email and only AI that cannot help.

I provided my receipt showing where I paid another hotel for those dates despite the "hotel" lying that I had stayed. I asked for a refund OR a credit because I did what I was supposed to do and showed up to stay. The HOTEL was unable to provide SAFE accommodation. All Priceline customer service is routed off-shore and all they say is how sorry they are but they can do nothing. They offered a 20% coupon for future bookings. I paid double for a room through no fault of my own. It means nothing that I am a VIP Gold Member with many stays and flights booked through Priceline. They do not protect customers. Customer service with this company is a joke. Priceline, rentalcars.com, and booking.com are all probably owned by the same group from what I think I'm understanding. I did a reservation with one of them, but they never sent confirmation email and put it under a funky phone number and not my email. I was never provided a trip number. Figuring out how to cancel was a NIGHTMARE. I was told by the rental car company it was with priceline who had the reservation and I needed to cancel with them since it was third party. Priceline told me it was with rentalcars.com. Rentalcars.com said they didn't have it. I couldn't even contact bookings.com (but they are the ones who charged me).

Eventually, eventually, many many wasted hours of my life later I figured out it WAS at priceline even though they told me it wasn't (and they had found my reservation in their system and even gave me the trip number- but then denied it being their reservation). It really was a priceline reservation though. But LOTS (!!) of wasted time because they have sloppy systems that allow a phone number that isn't a phone number, no email etc (and honestly- I don't think I entered my phone number or email wrong. But even if I had, it means theyy don't even have the most basic of error checking that most companies have). And again- Priceline literally had pulled up my trip and denied it being their reservation.

UUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH does not begin to describe how this group sucked the joy out of my day. I had to be an intense detective and dedicate hours of my life and even then it was dicey. I just... can't. Will never, ever ever use any of these three companies again. And for the love of all that is good, put a "zero" in your system to allow someone to speak with a representative if they don't have a trip number of phone number that you're recognizing.

This place was so bad I would not let a dog stay there. I booked this on Priceline who should be ashamed to be associated with this dump. We drove 7 hours from Philadelphia PA & was very tired. When we tried to check in the manager P. ** who I later found out is the owner was not friendly & I was asked to pay $150 cash for incidentals after 2 of my credit cards were declined. I later called my banks who said there was nothing wrong with my cards. Through Priceline I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights totaling $645.00. After being given room keys we proceeded to the rooms. As we went into room 105 it was disgusting. You could smell the mold upon entering, it was dirty, roaches, broken light fixture, mold on the ceiling & mold in the refrigerator. The bed looked like the sheets were never changed & there was no wash clothes or towels in the room.

My wife then went to the front desk to get another room & My sister & I went to check the other rooms. Room 109 was worst than 105 with the same problems including the mold in the refrigerator. Room 111 was worse than 109 with the same problems including the mold in the refrigerator & the bed. The front desk gave my wife the key to Room 115 which was the worst of all. It was filthy dirty, mold in the room & the refrigerator was not on & the inside was covered in black MOLD. Upon inspecting the bathroom my wife found a USED FEMININE NAPKIN in the trash can & upon uncovering the bed we found blood on the sheet. We took pictures & proceeded to the front desk. I showed the trash can to the front desk agent who was horrified. I told her we were leaving & I wanted my money back. She gave me my $150 incidentals deposit but said to call the manager in the morning.

I was then left to try to find somewhere for my family to stay as we were 7 hours from home & tired. I then had to travel another 1-1/2 hours to Kilmarnock Va, to find another hotel which I had to pay additional $1200.00 more dollars. Priceline said they could only give me whatever the manager gave them. Priceline called the manager, (who said he was not the manager) & spoke with him & he said that he was only willing to give me $430 of my original $645 because his maid said that someone stole a towel from the bathroom. With the condition of those rooms I would not have taken a towel if there were towels in the bathrooms. When I spoke to the manager he said that he was not going to give me my $215 back & he did not care what I did & hung up the phone. The sad thing is that upon checking the reviews afterward I found that these conditions have been going on since 2015. County court here I come.

If I could give it a negative 22, I would. The entire hotel is dirty. I arrived so late that I didn’t have the energy to try to find another hotel. Flooring was missing or coming up, room phone dirty, wrinkled bedding… my room iron didn’t work so my clothes stayed wrinkled. I got a lecture from the lady that brought me extra towels! Missed pairing areas under sink, cracked bathroom tile, squeaky iron bed frame, door didn’t seem secure. I’m glad I bought my security lock!!!! Broken hair dryer holder just left on the sink counter, mold in the iron. Poor hall lighting. I could go on, but please just see pics. This hotel needs an entire overhaul!!!! Don’t forget the creepy front desk lady with smeared lipstick on her face who insisted that I told her my name was Linda and tried to give me a 1st floor room to a single traveling female! It is more than pathetic that a company would capitalize on a Global outage. In this case it not the consumer nor Priceline at fault, but why should they keep money for reservations that can’t be fulfilled. The consumer is penalized but they are not. I have used Priceline for years. The customer service has gone downhill. I had a reservation and Priceline asked me to do their job contacting the hotel to ask for a refund and waive the fee. The hotel accommodated and did refund me. Priceline then decides to call the hotel but did not ask the receptionist the right questions so they never got the information that the fee was waived. I called the hotel back and spoke to someone else who said it showed it was waived in the system. I spent exactly 2 hours going back and forth. There is a huge problem outsourcing our customer service in the US. It may be cheap for the company, but the customer service isn't there. This is a review for Priceless Rental Car Company which is who Priceline used as part of my bundle to “save” money. Review of Priceless Car Rental: It’s a pity that in order to publish this post I have to give this company a star. If I had the opportunity, they would get zero stars.

Hidden in their policies is a list of all insurance companies they accept. Shame on me for not digging deeper because my insurance company was not one of the ten companies they work with. Needless to say, I was charged an additional $30/day for insurance overage. This was a huge lesson learned. As a courtesy they “upgraded” my rental from a Toyota Corolla to a Nissan Kicks…say what? Not an upgrade at all. The Priceless employee pulled the car up and gave me the key with the tire maintenance error code displaying plain as day on the dash. What did he do? He cleared the error light and sent us on our way. Two days later the light flags again and shows 3 of the 4 tires low on air. Such a pain. We also waited a good 30 min at the airport after having called them to pick us up once our plane landed. I don’t know how they stay in business.

It’s very unfortunate that I had a horrible experience with Priceline today because I have used your services before on different occasions and things went pretty well, today was different things to place in my life that I had no control over which is the weather that put myself in my family in the position to be without electricity in our home for a few days. I went through Priceline and made reservations for us to stay in a hotel until our power is restored, also reserved a rental car, which once I arrived at Enterprise, there were no cars available, from Indiana to Illinois, which I understood due to the power outage.

At this point, I called customer service, to see if they would accommodate me with changing the date, due to the situation, the customer service representative wasn’t friendly, and wouldn’t even try to accommodate me, so I asked to be connected to a manager or supervisor I was left on hold for 45 minutes to an hour, After being on hold that alone, someone did come to the line didn’t say anything and hung up the call, unfortunate that a big company like Priceline wouldn’t have something put in place to help people in their time and we had a tornado which caused us to have no electricity for some days. I wasn’t trying to get money back. I was at least asking them to accommodate me by changing the room date to a later day when I was able to get there so that my money would not be lost, but if it doesn’t work then they don’t care about customer.

Customer service was horrible. They did nothing to help. They were very rude and disrespectful and I will never do business with this company again, And the only reason they received one star from me is because the site asked you to rate the company if I could give them -100 stars I would, Moving forward, Priceline will not receive business again!!!! Priceline would not refund the booking of my hotel during hurricane beryl. It was supposedly an evacuation from power outage and heat. There were only few of hotels posted on their website as available and chose the hotel I booked. However the hotel had no power. Through email, the manager approved me of my refund but he has not received request from Priceline. Per hotel's front desk, they do not issue refund unless it is the manager. The manager told me to get priceline reach out to him but priceline only chose to reach front desk, which I clearly specify that they will not get response from front desk but the manager but priceline keeps on reaching front desk and never reached to the manager.

Priceline made a decision not to refund me despite their lack of effort to reach the manager, who gave me an approval. This is unacceptable and shows their greed and lack of consideration during situations like this. They will drain you as you try to get resolutions from them. Will not recommend priceline. I have booked at hotwire and expedia before and I was granted refund for smaller issues than this. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, I was met with unhelpful responses. Poor Customer Support. I spoke with a supervisor, case number #**, who, after placing me on a long hold, ultimately pushed the inquiry back on me. I had already contacted Priceline directly for these details, but they were unable to assist me, instead referring me back to the hotel. Recommendation. Due to Priceline's inability to provide the detailed receipts needed for business travel expense reimbursement and their lack of effective customer support, I would not recommend using Priceline for business trips. Their service was inadequate for handling business travel needs, and the customer support did not instill confidence. Conclusion. In conclusion, while the Hampton Inn by Hilton provided a satisfactory stay, the booking experience through Priceline was marred by significant issues that impacted my business travel expense process. BEWARE of using Priceline.com, because they are liars! When I recently used Priceline on July 6th, 2024, they promised upfront that I have 48 hours to cancel my hotel, car and plane reservations; but then after I paid them $2,077.25 for the package, I received a 12-page printout which said that the $690 payment to Alamo Rent A Car was non-refundable and non-transferable. I had planned for a trip to Bigfork, Montana on August 14-18 in 2024. It was for a 3-day Banjo Camp, but the store gave me wrong information and I got signed up for guitar instead, so 36 hours after I made my reservations I had to cancel my reservations.

American Airlines allows 48 hours, so they refunded my money. United Airlines only allows 24 hours, but they kindly still refunded my money. I was able to cancel the 4 day hotel reservation in Kalispell, Montana (a 35 minute drive from Bigfork). Only Alamo refused to refund even one penny of my $690. I called Priceline and after waiting for 30-minutes a woman in the Philippines answered the phone. She said I was out of luck and couldn't get any of my $690 back. I felt sick and angry, but it wasn't her fault, she just answers the phone; it's the ungodly thieves at Priceline that are to blame. Priceline lies to people to lure them in, promising savings up to $600 by purchasing a so-called "deal." But the truth is that if you go directly to the hotel, car rental company or airline, you can find cheaper prices on your own and eliminate the greedy middle man.

My trip from Pensacola to Kalispell on August 14-18, and return trip, required 4 flights. Priceline greedily charge me $8 per flight for fees ($32). That was just for the planes. Priceline takes advantage of their customers, making false promises and exaggerated claims. They deceitfully lure you in with bold bullcrap promises, while deliberately minimizing critically important details, like warning you that your money is non-refundable. And the alleged "travel insurance" is a sick joke. If you purchase that useless insurance, the policy rejects 99% of the reasons for which people normally would need to cancel their trip.

I took the time to read the policy. If you go into pregnancy labor, they won't pay. If you have a stroke or heart attack and had a pre-existing health condition like diabetes or high blood pressure, they won't refund any of your money. The insurance is a cruel scam! I will NEVER use Priceline again. They cost me $690. Why would Priceline even use such a wicked greedy company like Alamo, who rip people off. I cancelled my reservations after just 36 hours of making them, and wouldn't have needed the rent car for 5 weeks into the future, but Priceline and Alamo screwed me and refused to refund even on penny of my $690. That should be criminal! It sure is ungodly, unethical and sinful; and a holy God in Heaven sees the injustice of these shady companies like Priceline and Alamo (Ecclesiastes 5:8). I want justice! I was horribly cheated by Priceline and Alamo. Priceline Trip Number: **.

Get to Denver, go to the rental counter to find out that I rented a car in downtown Denver. A $60 Uber ride. Hertz would do nothing to help. Then I find out that I have to return the car back to the downtown location, there goes another $60!!!

Just please stay away from that website! I need to write a whole book about my experience! Long story short, two weeks, six hours a day on hold and at the end I got charged $2000 extra in order to change my ticket! Book through the airlines or the hotels, direct and pay a few bucks extra!

I am very disappointed with this company. I booked a flight and mistakenly booked the wrong information. However, within less than 15 minutes I caught my error and phone Priceline back. By calling Priceline back, I expected this to be a easy processing of refunding my funds due to the mistake made. During the time of my email confirmation, by speaking with Priceline, they advised a refund would be submitted within 24 to 48 hours. However, after 7 business, Priceline had not provided any refund. I spoke with several agents with different answers. Finally, I did a 3rd party call with my bank to get this problem resolved. The problem is still pending (RED FLAG)! Please consider re-thinking using this company, unless there is desperation of booking a flight! Please read their reviews. No one should have to fight for what belongs to them!!!!

I booked a room at a Comfort Inn at a small town hotel. I was on the Comfort Inn website to book this room. The listed room rate was $158 but there was a $25 off coupon button on this website if I joined their 'club'. I clicked this button and then proceeded with the booking. When it came time to book the room after entering my cc info there was no total displayed. Figured the taxes/fees couldn't be more than $15-$20. The second I booked the room my phone dinged with an alert from my cc company alerting me to a charge for $240. I called the listed phone number immediately to cancel and was told it was non-refundable.

I found out weeks later from the Comfort Inn manager that my room was actually booked thru Priceline. The only explanation, since I wasn't booking thru them, was that by clicking on the $25 coupon button on the Comfort Inn website brought me to Priceline. At no time was there any badging that indicated that I had been taken to Priceline. This is an outrageous tactic by Priceline. The taxes and fees of $82 was more than 50% of the room rate! Avoid doing any business with Priceline.

Their telephone staff will make errors and you will have to pay!! 3rd party plus hotel won’t take ownership. Priceline blames hotel and hotel blames Priceline. But guess who pays double? You! I had trouble booking due to a recently changed postal code/zip. When it finally worked I didn’t realize the date reverted back to the present date then the one I wanted. I called immediately and Rosa assured me my booking was canceled and the correct date booked. But now I am expected to pay for both! Incredibly inhumane and unfair. Two days of my wages shot because of this.

Priceline's motto should read: We will take your money and put you up in hotels which are either gross, rundown or closed for business. This was my most recent experience with Priceline when I booked three hotels using their app. The first hotel was dirty and smelly, the second was rundown and noisy, and the third was closed for renovations. I am still waiting for a refund on the third hotel. Priceline charged me for a room I didn't even use because the business was closed. I wouldn't recommend their service to my worst enemy.

I am deeply disappointed with Priceline regarding my travel credit of $1577.80. Due to unavoidable circumstances I had to cancel my flight in January 2024, and I received a credit for future SWISS flights, but no SWISS flights are available from San Antonio to Colombo until today (July 2024). I am deeply disappointed with Priceline's handling of my travel arrangements. Despite multiple attempts to rebook my canceled flight, Priceline failed to provide adequate support and repeatedly directed me to Swiss Air, which couldn't help. They offered a three-day flight option, impractical for my limited vacation time. I couldn't secure a flight with Swiss Air through Priceline and they did not offer alternatives. This has caused significant stress and disrupted my plans.

Scam. They took my money for a booking of a hotel. They did not inform me at the arrival of the hotel I would have to pay another $100. Left me on vacation for 2 days with no room. Me and my kids had to sleep in my car with no hot showers or any place to relax

The worst customer service ever. Booked a room and when I got there to see if we can get an early check in we paid extra. Then price charged me again after check out. Called customers service and they said they would return the charge, instead proceeded to charge me again. So after disputing 1 charge with my bank. After contacting them again they were still no help. Ended up paying for 1 night three times. NEVER WILL I USE PRICELINE/BOOKING AGAIN. Should have stayed with Expedia, trying to save a little with the hotel. Lesson learned.

CURRENT SCAM PRICELINE IS DOING!>>> if you purchase a round trip ticket and cancel within their “24 hr guarantee” they purposely only cancel half the trip! And claim you have to “call to cancel to other half” & if you miss the 24 hr window it’s “your fault”! BUYER BEWARE- that would be like buying a #1 meal at McDonalds & they don’t refund you for the fries or drink and claim you have to refund each item individually. Insanely misleading and purposely deceptive to create an advantage. Aka a SCAM.

I ordered a package with insurance because the package was no refundable. I missed the trip due to Covid. Insurance has all document EXCEPT an email from Priceline stating that the trip was not taken. Priceline has told me multiple times that no one working there has the ability to write emails. I offered to teach email writing to the entire staff, but they have yet to set that up. They also said not to worry about the insurance and that they would give a full refund. They have not. I am out 2500 because of Priceline after I have been a customer for years.

Horrible customer service. We booked a hotel that was advertised as very clean. The hotel was dirty and had mold. Our family member did not sleep because of being allergic to mold. When we tried to get a refund on the 2nd night, neither Priceline nor the hotel would work with us. It took 5 days for us to get an unacceptable answer.

The airline changed my departure time, but Priceline continued to send me notifications with the old time. I called to verify this with Priceline, they said to always go by the airline's information. Why not just update your end so people don't miss their flights? This could result in very serious problems, and they didn't seem concerned.

Hello my name is Ramona. I booked a three day trip to Grand Paradise resort in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel was nasty. The room was unacceptable. I have pictures to back up my statement. The room had no air, no hot water. I was afraid to sleep in the bed. I called my travel agent which is Priceline to no results. I left that resort the same day I arrived. I would like to get a full refund because I had to go to another resort to feel comfortable. I never been to a place of this nature. Pictures on the website doesn't match the resort. I am just asking for something or someone to reach out and resolve this issues. Sincerely Ms. Ramona **

Priceline has the worst customer service ever. I don't recommend them to anyone. I did flight reservations with them and the airline change my itinerary, so I had unassigned seating. Priceline would not refund my seating. They wanted proof of payment. Really. My credit card company took care of it in one phone, not getting the run around with Priceline. Instead of Priceline, they should be called price****.

Rented and SUV through them and got screwed on the day of my trip when I went to pick up my supposed upgraded vehicle. Initially got a standard SUV and when they sent my itinerary there was a spot where it literally says "Need more space? Upgrade for $.99 per day!" You also have to pay for it right then.. So I was like awesome, maybe I'll get a mini van or something to that effect for paying a little extra, something bigger than the standard SUV.

Nope, went to pick it up and they had a Ford escape for us.. for 5 people!!! I was like no that is a mistake, but the rental company itself was very kind. I didn't pick up the car as that would absolutely not work for me and they didn't have anything larger. I called Priceline customer service and she was rude and barely spoke English. Was told to suck it basically and that it was non refundable.. I am devastated and put $250 for this rental. My son luckily was able to get us a rental through a program at his work. Had to pay twice as much for a same day rental which would have been nearly $1300 without that discount. So now I am paying almost $800 for just the rental car for this trip.. I will never use Priceline again. Complete crap company who takes advantage of the little guys..
