We book through Priceline for our trip to Myrtle Beach, book a suite at the Bermuda sands, with a king bed, and a queen bed, we get there, walk into our room, it is two twin beds, smelled nasty, and was dirty, oh yea rated 4* hotel, was not happy, so contacted priceline, they said nothing they could do. So we canceled the rest of our stay at the hotel, gave priceline another chance, booked us at the Ocean Star Hotel, once again rated by priceline as a 4 star, paying 190 a night. Got there, had got in the room, no lights, no tp, no towels, but better than the other hotel, we was charged 190 a night, but priceline had it on the site for 41 a night, now at 41 a night would be with it, but not 190, contacted priceline cause you know they have the best price guarantee, and they would not match their own price. Pretty much said, "Thank you for the money suckers." This will be the last time we book through priceline.

The customer service was terrible. I bought a ticket through Priceline from CID to Pittsburgh, PA. I paid for seats selection through them at the amount of $284.86. Few minutes later, I received an email from them that my seats selection were cancelled and that my money will be refunded. Unfortunately, I received $92.40 instead of full refund.
I called them to ask why? The guy who was on the phone was very unprofessional and finally after more than one hour of waiting and transferring from different departments, I was told that they cannot refund my money and that I have to call the airline. When I called American Airlines, they told me that I paid the money to a third party and they should refund me because American Airlines didn’t receive that money. At the end, they took advantage of me and held my money and no seats assigned or transferred to me. Very horrible experience! Very horrible.

Priceline is a scam. They refuse to honor their agreement. I booked a car at Atlanta airport on April and when I got to the airport to pick up my car there was a long line. I waited more than 2 hours and at the end, they told me they don’t have a car available. I called the customer service and they told me that I can book another car with a different carrier and that they will refund me for the 1st booking since that carrier didn’t have a car. Which I did. One week later I called Priceline and they told me that they are still investigating while they already knew what happened. After one month, I called again and same thing. And they never communicate with me about the refund.
Two months later I still don’t have my refund. I went to my bank and when my bank open an investigation, Priceline told them that the booking was not refundable. But they knew that the car rental company did have a car for me and that’s why I was entitled to a refund. Stay away from this company. I have been booking my airline tickets, hotels and car rentals with Priceline for many years but I am done with them. God will take care of them.

Purchased international airline tickets and reserved car rental. This is second time that my flight has been changed and now my destination arrivals are 2 hours late and I have been told you’re on your own to call rental service to see if they will be able to help with rent. This is not first time Priceline did it to me. I am going to be patient and hopefully hopefully get my money back even though I purchased travel insurance additional out of pocket money for nothing. After this I am definitely done with Priceline.

Priceline has the worst customer service agents ever. They do not honor their agreements with what is clearly written on the ticket and when you call them to talk about it they start stating different things you don’t have visibility to. One rep will confirm with you what’s seen on the ticket, while another will tell you something entirely different just to ran away from doing what’s is right. Too much disconnect between what they wrote on the ticket vs what you actually experienced from the airline companies.

The staff is supposed to be helpful but when a problem arise they give you double talk and do nothing then they try to give you a courtesy credit. It doesn't help when it is after midnight and your family has no hotel to go to. I have used Priceline on and off for 5 years and every time I give them another chance they screw it up. Reserved room confirmed, hotel cancels, priceline staff can't do anything and tells you, you have no room

I blame myself for not reading these reviews prior to my booking experience with Priceline. I arrived at 1 am after traveling all day with a large family only to be told the hotel was overbooked and my reservation was canceled. Even though I called prior to 9 pm to let the front desk know I'd be late. Priceline is a real joke, they act like since I was refunded free of charge I should be happy with that when I used them to save time and money and all they did was cost me time and money. They still have yet to make this situation right and I see another class action lawsuit coming their way especially after reading all of these reviews.

I am heartbroken and this is my personal story- I have over 4,700 friends on here. I PRAY YOU READ THIS AND SHARE THIS! This morning I was supposed to board an American Airlines plane from the Midland Airport Flight 6205 to go visit my grandmother who’s passing away whom my family has been trying to keep her alive until my son and I get to see her and say our final I love you’s and goodbyes. I pray the Pilots see this. As I am so sorry are a part of a company - a team that could allow in such an ill and cold hearted manner. We got to the Midland airport within Requested Arrival Check in time. There was one clerk working and a long line of people ahead of us checking bags. By the time we got to the counter the clerk looked at us and said, "You can’t check your bags, you’re 6 minutes late," (due to the long and slow line) and she refused to check us in. She wouldn’t even look at her computer.
When I asked to speak with a manager she refused. She made me cry, belittled me in front of a line of around 40 people, when I said, "Ma’am please call your manager. I’m sure he can help! Can’t you call the gate and explain to them I have to get to Oregon to see my grandma?! She’s hanging on to see us. I have to get there, can’t they hold the plane? I’m Sure the if the pilot knew what was happening they would wait and let us check our bags!" She called the manager and said “this woman is crying and making a scene. I don’t know what to do with her” instead of asking her manager to explain to gate and the pilots what’s going on. They both did NOTHING! She didn’t Even talk to me before turning her back to me, she just left me standing at the counter and walked over to the other computer and waved up the next customer in line and starting checking them in. She was so rude to me.
I broke down asking that woman how she could be so cold and not help me and she yelled at me and said “ma’am I don’t know what you wanted me to do!?” I wanted you to try. That’s all. My dad told my grandma we missed our plane and that we weren’t able to make it. Shortly after, I got the call She passed away at 3:49 pm today Texas Time and 2:49 pm Oregon time. I would have had 1.5 hours to sit with her and tell her how much I love her and appreciate her for raising me and my sisters like her own. I lost my best friend today and didn’t even get to say I love you grams ALL because one lazy, ill-compassionate woman couldn’t even try. American Airlines Center I am disgusted with your airlines and lack of communication, compassion, integrity and empathy. If you can’t be held responsible for the people who represent your company, then you are not a company worthy of any revenue from any True American.
When I called Priceline they refused to honor the Trip Insurance and refund me and they are a direct representative of the American Airlines and they sold me their product. They told me this is an American Airlines Issue and REFUSED TO HONOR THE PROTECTION PLAN THEY SOLD ME. American Airlines told me this was a Priceline Issue. Neither one them showing compassion and offering to get bigger management involved to TRY to see what they can do to honor their promise to me when they took my money. REFUSING to give me my refund when I paid for your insurance that promises.

June 18th I scheduled flights for my family and I to travel to Mexico July 10-15th. I needed to reschedule and cancelled on June 19th, within 24 Hrs of booking. I then called afterward to confirm there was no issues with the cancellation and that I would receive back my refund in full. I was assured that all was well and I would be good to re-book. I waited for several days and didn't receive any emails or updates.
When I checked the online app for the status of my refund, I was surprised to find out I was not eligible for one. Immediately I called Priceline to find out there was an error in their processing system where they don't have the ability to cancel my reservation with Delta Airlines even though I completed the cancellation within the 24 Hr window to receive a full refund. They claim there was a bug in their system that caused the error and they are conducting an internal investigation. However, there has been no progress on the investigation and it has been almost 10 days.
Furthermore, they have taken full responsibility for this stating that they are the cause of the inconvenience. With all this being the case, I am still waiting for resolution, my flights are still not cancelled, and my refund is still not processed. I reached out to Delta Airlines directly to cancel on my own. I was informed that Priceline would have to cancel since they were the party that booked the reservation. Delta has be extremely helpful while Priceline has continual given me the run around while simultaneously giving me attitude about my constant prodding on this issue. I consistently get routed to individuals who claim that they will email me correspondence and set up a return call for 1-2 hrs later and 4-6 later when I call back they have the same info to repeat to me and have not sent the email that was previously promised. I've had to resort to forcing them to send it while I'm on the phone to confirm receipt. This is utterly unacceptable.

I made a mistake by choosing Priceline. Booked a car via Priceline for a 3rd grade company called 'Routes Car Rental.' First booking was a mistake as I booked a commercial truck for me, upon checking with 'Routse Car Rental' I was notified that I require to change it to normal vehicle due to license restrictions. This is the beginning of the horror, I contacted Priceline to cancel or modify the booking, I was told to contact 'Routes Car'. Upon contacting 'Routes Car' I was told to contact 'Priceline'.
Long story short, I made a new booking and I sent emails to Car Routes to cancel the booking. Received a confirmation from them, that the booking is cancelled. Guess what... after a month my credit card was charged with the 'no-show' fee. I contacted Routes and Priceline office and ask my money to be returned as I informed them in time about this booking. Still, they did not return my money. Never trust Priceline and Routes Car, they are fraud, cheaters and milk additional money. We booked a hotel through Priceline in Las Vegas. We got to the hotel and they told us they never received the reservation from Priceline and they were now booked and couldn’t get us a room anyway. I called Priceline and all they did is pass the buck. They could barely speak English which made things very difficult. They sent us back in to the hotel (20 minute wait in line), telling us they found our room and gave us a confirmation code. When we got to the front desk and gave them the code, we found out the code Priceline gave us was for someone else’s reservation! The hotel told us Priceline owes us money, Priceline told us the hotel owes us money. We wasted around 2 hours on the phone and in the hotel lobby, and even more time TRYING to find another hotel (they were all booked).
I never got a refund until I called Priceline 2 weeks later. They called the hotel again, found out it was INDEED their own (Priceline’s) fault, and they refunded me with an extra $15 “inconvenience payment”. $15 for hours delaying my vacation, and crazy stress in the middle of busy Las Vegas what a horrible company. I’ve used them for 3 years now for every vacation, but their customer service is absolute crap. And what a debacle. Never using this company again as they left us completely stranded. Here’s a tip: use Priceline’s website for seeing current prices, then call the hotel directly and ask if they’ll match Priceline’s price.

I'll NEVER use Priceline again. I used them a lot years ago. I didn't realize they'd sold their corporate soul in the years' since. I mostly travel in RV so rarely need services like they provide. I just rented a car through them. It was a nightmare at the airport. A top brand rental company had no cars to give. Lots of people had been waiting over an hour AFTER waiting a long time in line to sign in. I waited 45 minutes in line before I went to two of the almost empty lines of 2 competitors, both of which had cars but because I booked on Priceline the top brand company (who would have let me cancel and change if I had booked with them) said I couldn't. It was terrible. Priceline's cancellation policy is not worth using them. Period.

I had to cancel our vacation due to an unexpected surgery for my 5 year old daughter and we need the money back to pay for it. We had two separate hotel reservations- one for the day before our cruise and one for the day we got back. I called the hotel- Crowne Plaza Hotel & Resorts Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise and they told me to call Priceline. I called Priceline and got an automated system which forced me to try to cancel through that. No option to speak to anyone until after the system made me answer their questions. Then they said I needed to talk to an rep to finish the cancellation- fine, waiting for a call back.
When they finally called, they said my reservation has been cancelled online already and that it was non-refundable. I did not cancel it online like they claim and they just said there was nothing they could do. Worst customer service experience I've ever been through. Here's what my cancellation policy stated on my reservation email. We were 160+ days out from our vacation, keep in mind:
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you do not check in to the hotel on the first day of your reservation and do not alert the hotel in advance, the hotel reserves the right to cancel your reservation and you may be charged for the full amount. I booked a hotel through Priceline.com that was advertised as a 3 star hotel and looked nice from the photos a description posted. BOY WAS IT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE!!!! This hotel was absolutely foul to say the least. There was old food left on the headboards which makes me seriously question how clean the beds were. There was mold and stains on the carpets, obvious water damage and mold around the windows, open electric receptacles, clearly sinking floors from likely structural issues as we could see steps cracks in the bricks outside the building and obvious cracking and disrepair in the stairwells. Also, by the way, shocking I know but the pool is out of order as well! They say they are going through renovations, who knows how long that has been going on, but there are also light fixtures and smoke detectors just hanging from the wires on the main floor and not attached to anything.
Not only all of the above mentioned issues but as I was walking through the stairwell there were pills of some sort all over the floor. This "hotel" was terrifying and should not be allowed to operate under these conditions and Priceline should be ashamed of themselves for the false advertising they put out. Now they will not give me my money back and it's been a complete runaround. Shame on you Priceline. You are TERRIBLE to deal with and your policies are garbage. There was obvious serious safety issues that me and my child should not have had to endure, I packed my bags and headed out because it was so bad and you've been absolutely zero help at all. Why are customers at the receiving end of all scams, fraud and overcharges. Priceline is on top of the list. I thought this was a legit company and have booked a lot of packages through them never checking price breakdowns. On my last trip which included a United Airlines flight for two people (Priced at 365 a person) and 2 day cheap budget car rental (priced at 52 dollars a day through some sort of switch and bait scam). Come to find out they charged me 1016 dollars and they do not show the invoice anywhere but just the itinerary and the total package price. This is height of cheating and fraud. Consequently, I was forced to purchase an alternative policy at the counter, at their price, to avoid being left without a vehicle for my vacation. Upon reaching out to Priceline to address this issue, I was informed that no refund would be issued as 72 hours had passed since the transaction. I booked a hotel for Chicago and agreed to the terms because it's the hotel in the area I want to stay in. After I pay get confirmation back, it has the wrong date and the wrong city. And there is no 20% discount at all. Call Priceline 15 minutes later who told me, I was not getting my money back because I agreed to the terms. I'm like yeah, I agreed because I put in the city I wanted to stay and the date but after I paid it says something totally different. I also screenshot the correct information I put in.

I'm pretty sure you guys are making plenty of money off of what it is that you do and there is no reason you should be trying to take a chunk out of people that came to you for a deal in the first place so now being that I cannot get the 500 and something dollars that I cannot use because I was asked to leave a hotel because I could not afford to pay for my dog. It is taking me forever to get it and I don't have the funds. So what am I supposed to do but you know what? No one really cares huh? Thanks a lot guys for sticking to the book!!!

I paid for a reserved rental car from Priceline in February for the total eclipse event in April and 4 days before the event, the rental car was cancelled. Priceline offered to cover the expenses for the same exact car and then deleted the reservation without sending me an email to alert me to their actions. I showed up to get my reservation and there wasn't one. I could not get another economy car (which matched the reservation), Priceline would not honor their part in this and I ended up paying $500 EXTRA for what was originally a $200 rental car. I should have a written a review about two months ago! But I was waiting for their compensation! April 8th they were supposed to book a two night hotel stay in Burlington, Vt for the eclipse! It was for my husband, me and our daughter and grand daughter who was only five months old! I booked it with a Priceline agent, when the day arrived and we visited some relatives in Bellows falls and on our way to Burlington I had to put the hotel address on the GPS! To my shock, it picked up Burlington, VT. The hotel was booked three months ago!
Not knowing what to do now, we were with this infant parked in someone’s drive way for about two hours trying to solve the problem! Agent knew they had made a mistake and not owning up to it nor was willing to compensate! All the hotels were $500-1000 for that night and the original price was $200 for two nights. They would not pay the difference or book a hotel room for us! We drove all the way to Massachusetts that night over three hours and drove back three hours next day to see the eclipse!
After we got home, someone from priceline texted me as if to help me or something! But never followed up or compensated! It’s two months now! I have for the last 10 years, all air lines and hotels were booked through price line! They may not miss my business! But I lost all respect for priceline and never again do business with them. I will surely choose some other company! It’s a shame what priceline did to us and not owning up to their mistake! Hopefully they will treat their customers fairly in the future!

My name is Jaime **. I booked a trip to the Mexican Riviera for myself and my family of 4. Priceline charged my credit card and confirmed the details or the hotel where we were booked at. When I called the hotel to ask for a concierge to schedule excursions I was told that our room was only for 2 people. I immediately called Priceline and they confirmed the conversation I had with their rep since everything is recorded and I was told that I was correct and that this issue had been formed into a case that they would be handling. I was told that they would be contacting me within 3 days and I would be informed of what they were going to do. It has not been 8 days, I have spoken to 3 different reps over that course and I still do not have any resolution at all, Our trip is less than a week away, my wife and I are at a complete loss as to what to do next.
We have repeatedly been told that a case is open and we should be hearing something ASAP. We have been told that since day 1 of when this ordeal started. I have lost all faith in this company. I will never use them again. In fact I recommend that if anyone is going to travel that they contact the hotel, airline, car rental agency direct and avoid all 2nd party interactions. I don't know where to start. I have been traveling for a long time and if I had to guess I would say I have had hundreds of stays at different hotels over the years. Priceline has been nothing but deceptive and shady every single time. The most recent situation was they were trying to help me book a room over the phone and somehow they booked the wrong hotel, same company but different location by a couple of blocks. When I arrived at the front desk of the hotel I thought I had booked they told me that it was the other one down the street. I'm disabled and recently broke my arm quite badly. Then I called Priceline. They said it wasn't their mistake and they couldn't reach the property in question so I would have to just pay almost 3 hundred dollars for "my" mistake.
I went to the business and spoke with them about the situation and they assured me that they had no issues with a full refund because they felt it was an honest mistake and they were also aware of me being currently booked at the other location. I then called Priceline and they said they contacted the property and they said I was staying there. Complete and absolute lie. I had a bad situation prior to this back in November and I don't have time to leave that review at the moment. I will leave you all with this, I am contesting many odd, irregular and bull crap charges from Priceline and the investigation is ongoing! Priceline needs to be held accountable and I urge you all to contact BBB, State Attorney General office, Senators, and anyone who will listen. This is completely unacceptable!! I used Priceline to book a senior trip for my son and myself to Italy from the United States. When I received my confirmation which included hotel and airfare I noticed I was charged for a day in the hotel that I would be in the air. When I contacted Priceline within hours I was told there was nothing they could do about it and they would not refund me for the day I was being charged for the hotel that I would not be in the country. When asked why they would charge me for a day at a hotel when they are the ones who booked both the hotel and the flights at the same exact time I was told it had something to do with the algorithm of the computer and it was not their problem.
I spent several weeks contacting them every day to try to resolve the issue and was continually told there is nothing that they would do about it not that there was nothing they could do about it. And to top it off the hotel which I no longer would be able to cancel the room and rebook because of Priceline's agreement with the hotel folks I was informed that if I do not show up by a certain time in the evening on the day the hotel was booked for they could possibly cancel my entire reservation.
It cost me $35 in telephone fees to contact the hotel in Italy and explain to them what had happened. They assured me they would hold the room for me and put a note in their computer months in advance. The most interesting thing is when I spoke to the manager he had been in contact with Priceline and had told them he could without a problem refund the extra day that I was charged for that I would not be there. He did send me all the correspondence from Priceline to him and him back.
I am extremely unhappy with this company. It's a shame too because I typically travel outside of the country twice a year and we use companies like Priceline, Expedia and Travelocity. This will 100% be the last time I ever used Priceline or anything owned by Priceline. Due to the experience I had with your customer service over weeks of trying to negotiate and at least get an answer on why this happened and coming to know resolution I will spend twice as much money to use someone else than to ever use you again. I complained about my trip because falsely advertised was the amenity that I did not receive even though the agent found amenity on the site herself she still tried to play games. After 70 minutes told me because I already used the reservation no refund was available and she would have them look into it the next five business days. I will never spend another dollar with this company. This is absurd.

Priceline is absolutely the worst in every way possible. I booked a room with a hotel on their website believing that I was booking directly with the hotel. Instead, I was routed to Priceline for my booking. First, I was charged an outrageous rate for taxes, half the price of the $200 room, plus they added a charge for reservation protection that I did not ask for. The total price came out to $313.78 for an "ok" room. It gets worse. When I arrived at the hotel, exhausted from a six hour drive, I discovered that the pool was out of service for renovations.
I realized I had not received a military discount but this has happened before and I thought I would ask at the desk. It was only then that I realized I had actually booked through a third party because the hotel staff informed me that if I wanted a discount, I would have to ask Priceline to apply one. They also informed me (Priceline had in no way made this clear when I first ordered my booking) that they would be taking a $50 deposit which would be refunded at check out. Now we are up to $363.78 for one night in an "ok" room with no pool.
At that point, I decided to ask Priceline for a military discount and an additional refund for the reservation protection and the inconvenience of not having the pool available. Priceline replied that they would contact the hotel and ask for all these things. Of course the hotel said that they could not do this because Priceline was the one in charge of this booking. So we have these two major corporations each blaming the other for their inability to do anything about this insanely overpriced room, meanwhile, I am wondering if I will have enough money to make it through the month.
Priceline claimed that they refunded the reservation protection but I still have not received it. The deposit was not returned from check in which prompted me to contact the hotel to ask when it would be returned to me. Finally, after going back and forth with Priceline via email for several days and calling the customer service line in charge of the Holiday Inn franchise and getting nowhere, I called the Priceline customer service line. They asked for my reservation code or phone number. I tried both the reservation code and my phone number and neither one worked. I was told by a robot to find my reservation code and hung up on.
While this was all transpiring, I had reached out to the hotel directly to ask why I had not gotten my deposit refunded to me. I checked out on Friday and I called on Tuesday. I left a message and today, I got a call back from the hotel manager who is a lovely person named Lucy. She advised me to contact Priceline again and ask them to call her directly and she would be able to process a refund for me. I still have not received confirmation from Priceline that they have done this for me when I sent them a message hours ago. Long story short, Priceline is the worst. My advice for booking a hotel would be to call the location you plan to stay at and book your room over the phone.

After booking a last-minute deal, my husband and I found the room to be in an unacceptable condition. The smell was so overwhelming that we were physically ill and had to check out early, forfeiting $300. When I contacted Priceline customer service, I received no assistance, even after escalating my calls to supervisors. Both Priceline and the hotel blamed each other for the lack of a refund, leaving us without any resolution. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I strongly urge others to consider alternative booking sites. I will not be using Priceline.com again.

I am very disappointed in Priceline. I usually ONLY book fully refundable hotels and thought that's what I was doing when I booked the Holiday Inn. I did not see anything on the page that it was a "special rate" and I only had 1 hour to cancel my reservation after making it. A couple of days later I needed to cancel but was told that if I did, I would lose one night's payment. If I went to the hotel and stayed the one night, the hotel could cancel the other two nights and I would get a refund for those.
After numerous calls to Priceline and the Hotel, the hotel agreed to allow Priceline (who went through Booking.com) to refund those nights. Priceline then told me they were not able to get in touch with the hotel and therefore I was not getting a refund. Because of their poor customer service I am out almost $400. I will never use them again and was advised by the hotel that many other customers have also had bad experiences with them and I should NEVER use a third party to book. I will NEVER use Priceline again.

Priceline also promised they would email me and keep me posted but they never did. When I never received a follow up from Priceline I took matters in my own hands and called the hotel directly and spoke to the manager who informed me Priceline never sent them an email. She let me know that the reservation was past the day that I was supposed to stay… Which I didn’t understand because it was actually today that I made the reservation and today when I’m supposed to stay… And the special deal I had, made it nonrefundable. I was not offered any refundable deal and no one said anything to me. I let her know that I had just made the appointment within 45 minutes and I noticed at the time for the cancellation was about the same time or actually before I hung up with the customer service person from reservations. She let me know that she was from customer service and not reservations Multiple times.
She told me I could contact the hotel. She also told me that she would escalate it to see if there was anyway I could get my money back but it’s going to be a little bit. So I asked if she meant days or hours And she just kept saying no ma’am. So there was no cotton clearance there. I’ve been asked her if she could call the hotel for me and she said no, but I was more than welcome to call them myself but I can’t put her on hold because she would have to release the call after four minutes. So I asked her again if she would call the hotel for me and she replied no. So I told her I would go to a different phone and call the hotel while I was on the phone with her therefore she wouldn’t be on hold and she said that she would only wait for four minutes and then hang up on me.
The whole time I was driving, I was speaking to her and she kept repeating the same stuff that was not answering any of my questions. She laughed at me and she was mocking me to people there with her. I could hear them laughing and hear her saying things and then she would get on the phone and say no ma’am I’m not making fun of you. So I asked her a clear question of how much would I have had to pay and how much would this reservation? Have been to get the option to be able to cancel the reservation. What cost would I have had to pay for this exact reservation in order for it to be able to be canceled. Pretty cut and clear. She never gave me an answer and told me I couldn’t add to this reservation. Kept telling me she was going to hang up on me in four minutes. Told me I was never gonna get my money back but she was waiting to escalate it, I only was able to get off the phone and refrain from speaking with her.
She told me she gets paid per person that she’s talks to and so she really didn’t wanna be on the phone with me any longer because there is nothing she could do. She didn’t answer any of my questions. She did not help me in anyway. Priceline is a scam for sure! And I’ve used them many times and I’ve only had to call customer service twice and both times it was a horrendous experience! I did try to call the hotel but I was put on hold for about 15 minutes before I hung up.
The whole fact that she said she’s not there for customer service that she’s there to get paid and she gets paid per customer is just sickening to me as a customer service professional. I’ve done phone customer service like this and there is no way on earth I would’ve let any of my employees any customers like this. We are supposed to go as customer service people… We are supposed to go over and beyond for the customers like even just calling the hotel for them or waiting on the line while they figured stuff out because honestly this call probably took about 25 minutes and it could’ve taken 10. Priceline has great people for the reservations but customer service is horrendous!!!!

Found a cheaper deal with a better cancellation policy on identical reservation details and sent it to the escalation dept and they refuse to adjust the 16.16 price difference stating that the cancellation policies had to match. So Priceline had worse pricing AND cancellation policy and was willing to lose a customer over $16.16.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Priceline. They recommended buying insurance, but it turned out to be a fraud by a different company. Both Priceline and the insurance company gave me the runaround and showed no concern for the amount of money I spent on their booking site. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't seem to care about its customers. My advice: you can't count on this website. And don’t even think about buying flight insurance—it's a joke and a scheme.

I’m utterly disappointed. NU was not able or willing to promise that the vehicle will be available for me since my flight was delayed. It was impossible to communicate with both Priceline and NU since phone calls were conveniently directed to answering machines and were not answered. I feel that I wasn’t treated right. I had to make another vehicle reservation from Avis in order to ensure that my family would be able to attend one of my son’s wedding. Overall, the car rental from NU through Priceline was a bad and costly experience (and mistake).

My experience with Priceline was horrible. The very worst company to book a flight. I booked a flight for economy round-trip to Nigeria from United States. I had two 23kg bags checked in with no hassle. On my way back, I was forced to pay for the 2nd 22kg luggage. I was told I was only entitled to 1 bag. Like how? I was told my booking was economy light. I never booked economy light with Priceline. I was made to cough out $105.00 (N108,805.00). That's a fraud! The same 2 luggage I left with is what I still had on my way back, why should I have to pay for the 2nd bag on my way back on the same ticket? I spoke to customer care and shoved me off and won't pay me or fully address the issue. I won't recommend any one to book from priceline. This is the second time I'm having issue with their booking.

I had a confirmed rental through Priceline in Sept. 2023 for our trip to see the solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024 in Austin, MN. When my wife and I landed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on April 7, 2024 and proceeded to pick up our reserved car but we were told there were no cars available. Easirent was the car rental place that Priceline used for that time. Easirent could not help us so we were out of a car. There was no prior communication to us that there would be no cars available prior to our arrival. There were huge lines of people at the Austin, TX airport waiting to pick up their confirmed rental cars at all of the rental agencies. We chose Avis in getting a car and asked for the same type of car but the only choices left that day was a pickup and a minivan. Our hands were tied so we chose the cheaper of the two available vehicles which was the minivan. We were lucky to rent a car at all.
It appeared that Priceline overbooked rental cars and could not fulfill their part of the rental agreement. Priceline eventually refunded us our original rental agreement which was good. However, I had to pay double the cost for the minivan for the same number of days. I felt that I should not have to pay the extra cost for the higher end vehicle because of Priceline's failure to fulfill their contract agreement. I would have rented a more reasonably priced vehicle had I been notified prior to my arrival when more options were available. I requested a reimbursement of $460.95 which is the difference between the original rental agreement of $338.16 and the $799.11.
Also, in order to get reimbursed for the original contract I was asked to cancel that agreement. Ultimately had to pay much more for a vehicle I forced to rent. It took a month going back and forth with Priceline but ultimately the finance department declined my request so I ended up eating the $460.95 cost. I won’t be using Priceline in the future and I would not recommend them to anyone else. I gave them 2 stars b/c they did refund my original rental cost.

Save your money and book through actual airline. The fact that I’ve spoken to 4 agents and 3 managers for the past month trying to book my flight with my credit that’s still valid is absurd. They make every excuse not to book your flight for some reason. The most recent thing that happened is where it gets better, the manager sent me a whole itinerary with no reservation number, just booking code which doesn’t work when I enter it on Priceline or Turkish airlines.
When I spoke with both parties, they said there is no booking. Funny though the manager made sure to charge my credit card. If it doesn’t make sense to you, yeah it doesn’t to me either. I’m in shock how such a big company can do this. Then when I asked why they said it was just pending from when the manager tried to book the flight. It is not pending, it went through. She said they would have to investigate with the accounts dept which would take a few days. When I asked for a receipt to prove it was “refunded” or whatever she said she does not have access. To Whom it May Concern, I am writing to inform you for the absolutely disgusting treatment of both companies, Priceline and the Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE. I live in Ontario Canada, and frequently use Priceline and suggest Priceline to friends and family. I will not be doing this anymore and will be informing communities publicly to be aware when using these companies. I intended to book a last minute travel with my husband and two daughters to meet their relatives, for the first time in Buffalo New York. As I was booking on Priceline, an option showed up “Recommendations based on your previous booking”. I had booked at Holiday Inn Grand Island Buffalo New York, previously for a funeral, when I saw “Holiday Inn Express Grand Island” I clicked it, saw a reasonable price, our days were available, and then red writing that said “Only 1 room left at this price”. I was so excited I clicked and paid.
We began our drive to cross the border from Canada into the US. As we were about half an hour away from the boarder, I put the address of the hotel into our GPS and, it was at that moment I realized I had booked a hotel in “Grand Island NE” and not “Grand Island NY”. My instant thought was “Oh! Well, that was a silly mistake, I’ll just call Priceline and explain, and they will switch my reservation to the correct state”. Well, I was completely wrong! From the moment I called, I was told “No, your reservation is non-refundable”. A reservation, that Priceline, 'recommended for me', which was NOT by the way based on a previous stay, and a warning, that I would miss out if I did not BOOK NOW.
I pushed further and the lady offered to call NE to try to cancel it for me. When she returned, she still informed me “NO, NE would not cancel, therefore Priceline would not cancel” This was completely disheartening to hear. I proceeded to ask for a supervisor or manager. As I waited on hold, getting closer to the border, anxious that we had nowhere to stay in Buffalo and two screaming kids in the back, I went from being hopeful and happy dealing with Priceline and Holiday Inn Grand Island NE, to sad and deflated. I couldn’t understand why the customer service representatives could not empathize with our situation and were unwilling to help.
By the time a manager came online, she reiterated the exact same story. She then called NE for me and asked for a refund, in which they responded no. I pleaded with her on the phone and asked her to connect me to NE so I could speak to them myself. When I spoke with the supervisor at Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE, the lady became rude, and angry that I would even ask. Explained that her Manager “Already to her No” She then stated that it was Priceline’s mistake, therefore they should refund my money, and “suck up the cost”. I got teary, crying on the phone and she still refused. She seemed more empathetic that I was crying, but still nothing.
I then called Priceline back, and I spoke to a representative who then forwarded me to Mike, employee number **. He reiterated the same thing. Mike continued to use the line “I understand but..” which clearly he had been trained to use, however, he did not understand. He had no desire to understand, he did not care that I was crying or that $300US, converted to Canadian, was a lot of money for our young family, to go on a two-night trip. He did not empathize with us at all and again and again, I kept hearing “I understand… it’s policy…” I informed him, that Priceline would still get our money, but I would just like it transferred to the proper state, I was still even willing to book with the same hotel chain.
At this point, I went from sad and disheartened, at the lack of empathy and humanity that this hotel chain and Priceline employees were exhibiting, to angry and apoplectic with both companies. I had never been treated so unfairly by representatives, who are supposedly here to help. Where was the Care, compassion, decency for not only customers, but people. There is a real problem with our society when a company, whose net worth is over $ 79 billion can not refund a young, growing family $300US. It takes a long time for us to save that kind of money. I realize it is pennies to the big CEOs and even employees of Priceline, but to us, it is so much more. It is a difference between, putting gas in our car, and being able to eat dinner at a “family restaurant”.
It was totally degrading, and I felt totally humiliated that I had succumbed to begging for $300. It was completely demoralizing, and yet all I received was a well-rehearsed, well-trained, robotic employee “I understand…” To add to the blow, Mike informed me that his manager was “unavailable” and “unwilling” to take my call, that he, in fact he would call me back in 3-5 hours. This was on Friday and after a frustrating, tension-filled night, with fighting and crying, I still have not received a phone call from anyone. I am, however, left with a second hotel bill, in the US with no wifi, or hot water, a plugged tub that would not drain when we showered (we also spoke to someone about this, and it was never resolved) a massive headache, and a bag of beef jerky that my family is sharing for breakfast, and two girls with tummy pains. Thank you, Priceline and Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE you have helped make my family's dreams come true!
Sincerely, emotionally exhausted and dejected,Jennifer

Absolutely terrible experience. These people will lie to you about what you are going to pay for your room. Never believe what they say. They had the fees and taxes listed on the website when I made my transaction and when I got to my hotel there were additional fees that were never mentioned during my initial transaction. I never would have booked at this hotel had Priceline.com been honest with me. When I tried to call customer service, I got some foreign person who barely spoke English who refused to help me with my problem and also refused to put a manager on the phone. I will never ever use priceline.com for anything ever again.

I booked a a flight on Priceline. I checked my flight in the morning on my trip which is their app. My trip was not there. I called Priceline. They were of no help. They do not speak English very well. And the gentleman who helped me screwed up everything to the point that I had to call the airlines directly and get a flight with them. Priceline is probably one of the worst travel ideas I've ever chosen my whole life. I would not advise anybody to use them. Go straight to the airlines and save yourself the heartache.

I called Priceline to tell them that our flights and resort destination were made for two different cities through their packaged vacation they sold us. They told me they could not refund the money to us or accommodate us in any way even though they made the booking mistake. THEY MADE THE MISTAKE BUT TOLD US THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. While I am the phone with them they kept increasing the price, so at the end I was unable to use the credit. It is kind of a scam. Yes you can use your own credit but we have to give you extremely high price ticket.

I booked a hotel stay at the Holiday Inn in Winston Salem for 6 days with Priceline. However when there I received word of a close relative death out of state. Quite naturally I was emotionally distraught and wanted to be with my loved one, children/other family. I spoke with hotel staff regarding situation and was directed to check out and my return would be processed as I had only been there for 2 days. Under the hotel staff direction I did just that. Shortly later I contacted Priceline and explained what happened. Only to be told that my refund wouldn’t be honored despite me already checking out at the direction of the HOTEL STAFF. I spoke with Karen whom is a Priceline assistant who stated that my refund wouldn’t be honored. I explained to her again at the direction of the HOTEL STAFF that I would receive a refund on remaining days.
Per Karen she reached out to Steve at the Winston Salem Holiday Inn location and was aware of the situation however won’t honor refund. This is particularly concerning as staff gave me misleading info. Also this is disheartening as I went through all of the appropriate channels and it feels as a slap in the face while I am grieving especially in the face of these brittle economic times. I have booked with Priceline numerous times as well as have stayed at this particular location as well which is why I chose this location.

This is a horrible travel agency!!! AA changed my flight, and the change took me off schedule with my reservations planned. I talked with the airline to try and find another flight so I wouldn't have to cancel my current one, but there wasn't another to compensate the change they made. So they let me know I could cancel my flight and get 100% of my refund back from the 3rd party agency I booked with. I called Priceline and talked to 3 people that were supposedly in management that told me that's not the airline policy and would not process my refund. Now we have to go through the whole legal process with attorneys about 2 tickets that was changed by the airline.

On 6 Apr 24 I reserved a room through them. The HOTEL said they charge more on weekends. I called Priceline to get a refund, they told me they called the hotel, and I was a no show, however, the hotel is under new ownership, so the landlines were down. No one from Priceline called the hotel because the hotel didn't have phone service. This repeated on the 8th April and 9th of April. On the 9th of April, the customer service rep told me they would try to call the hotel again, they put me on hold. I waited at the hotel with the manager and owner for Priceline to call the hotel.. (Hotel phone are not working) 14 mins later priceline customer service rep said they contacted the hotel and was told that I was a no show to the hotel on the 6th of April.
Myself, the hotel manager and the owner looked at each other puzzled because the landlines weren't operating. I ask the customer service rep to speak with management or a supervisor, they said they don't have any working there with that title, and or position. So, why not tell the truth. QUESTION: PRICELINE customer service under new management? I have been with Priceline since 2008, I have never had an issue with them, until now..

Booked a van in January. In March day before trip no reservation with Thrifty was made by Priceline. Priceline instructed to rebook and if same van would be reimbursed for the difference. It was a $400.00 difference the day before we were to leave for our trip. Upon return, submitted documentation of the two bookings. Today denied reimbursement. Will never use Priceline again. All should be aware that Priceline will bait you in with low prices and does not book the cars with the car rental places Then you will pay more. Just go direct from the start. Never again!

I have been trying to work with Priceline for over a week regarding a pre-paid car rental in Dallas. The reservation was set up with "Airport Van Rental" (AVR) at DFW. My flight was delayed. I called AVR to make sure my rental would be available when I landed. I was advised over the phone that their office closed at 4 pm, but they requested that I check-in on-line and call the number back when I landed. I did both, but nobody would answer the phone (4:30 pm). After about 30 min, I left a call back number and they called me about 15 min later. I was told that I needed to provide a credit card for a $200 deposit over the phone in order to get picked up.
Based on the sketchy service at this point, I was not comfortable doing this, so they cancelled my reservation. Priceline would do nothing to help provide a replacement car rental. I have been going back and forth with Priceline for over a week now and they are still unable to provide my refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING PRICELINE FOR TRAVEL.

Priceline is a Fraudulent Company that is hell bent on keeping your money even if the vendor or merchant they are associated with does not deliver the product or service promised during your booking. They put a no cancellation clause in the agreement when you prepay for the service or reservation, so they can keep your money even the merchant does not render the service!
I rented a car through Priceline from Hertz in Orlando, Florida on President's Week on Feb 17, 2024 and had prepared for it 30 days in advance to get about a $100 discount! Big mistake, when I got to the Hertz Car Rental At Orlando International Airport and Hertz had no vehicle available for me to use/rent and Priceline told me and my credit card co. That because of the no cancellations policy that was in play when I prepared, that I could not get a refund. Even though I didn’t cancel, it was Hertz that could not provide a vehicle to me. This is very fraudulent & dishonest, they should be investigated by Connecticut Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, & Consumer Affairs!

I am currently on my vacation 3/17/2024. I used Priceline for my flight, hotel and car rental. This "deal" I got is a nightmare! The flight not so bad, the car rental is not at the airport, you are shuttled to this unknown car rental company 15 minutes down the road. Now keep in mind, you have to wait for them to pick you up. Get to ROUTES car rental, where they try to put me in something I did not reserve. I requested a small compact car, they wanted me in a full size truck. I had to PAY extra to get a small car, that I had already paid for! ROUTES car rental makes you use credit card for a 500.00 deposit and badgers you with extra fees, toll road packages, paying extra for insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Finally get to the hotel to find out I have more very high deposit to stay there! I repeatedly tried calling priceline to cancel this "Package" Deal I bought. I explained that none of this is in the description of services. Nope, I am stuck! DO NOT USE PRICELINE. It is not worth the headache and time, and ADDITIONAL money you have pay!

I booked a travel package with Priceline. My first experience with a Westgate property, and it wasn't a good experience. The customer service was fine, but they were out of the room I previously reserved. They sold me an "upsell" which increased the price by approximately $70 a night. The halls of the hotel look old and dingy, the rooms look dreary with this old Hollywood type look. The screens to the patio was so dirty and dusty, you don't even want to go outside. Let's not even talk about the water running to the shower that takes 10-15 minutes to heat up. The sinks leak and need replacing, etc.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel, there are plenty other places to stay that are nice and updated. Try reaching management after you check out, is like trying to get in touch with the master architect of the Hoover Dam. I reached out Priceline to get some resolution and they told me I'd have to contact the hotel. But I booked through Priceline. See pics below:

On 03/13/24, I purchased a prepaid rental car though Priceline, for a trip to Phoenix on March 23rd. On March 22nd, I received a second confirmation, with a link to the reservations with a link to the Thrifty Car Rental website so that I could check into my reservation (Thrifty Confirmation Code **) in advance. I clicked on the link, which took me to a page on the Thrifty site that said that no rental reservation existed with that confirmation number. I contacted Thrifty directly and they confirmed that there was no reservation for the requested dates or under my name, and that the Confirmation Number was not valid. It was very fortunate that I clicked on that link, because if I had just showed up at the rental counter, they would have had no car for me and I would have been forced to purchase an entirely new reservation at a much higher cost.
I contacted Priceline immediately, and after a long wait I was that they needed to call Thrifty themselves because "sometimes the Priceline reservations are in a different system and don't show up for the Thrifty representative." Priceline put me on hold while they tried to call Thrifty, but when they found out that the wait time was ten minutes, they cancelled the call because "they can't wait on hold more than two minutes." I escalated the issue, and after another long wait and a series of holds, they told me that it was too late in the evening to call Thrifty, and they would have to try again in the morning (the day of my flight).
I called early and after another long wait and series of holds, they managed to confirm with Thrifty that the reservation didn't exist, and instead of trying to make a new reservation, they said they could only offer me a refund. Since they gave me no other choice, I accepted the refund, which took three days to post back to my credit card. The only saving grace was that Kayak got me a car that day for only about $40 more, with absolutely no issues. I will not be using Priceline ever again.

Horrible. Booked a hotel with Priceline and paid for a specific larger, more expensive room type. They sent the cheapest room type to Agoda, Agoda booked it and sent the cheapest room type to the hotel. When I check in the hotel give me the cheapest room type, when I question it and show my Priceline booking for the higher room they said that's not what they got and to contact Agoda. Agoda says that's what they got from Priceline and the contact Priceline. Priceline says it was booked through them but by Agoda so to contact Agoda...
Spent 4 hours trying to sort it out at the front desk while on the phone with both of them and waiting on hold for hours. Ended up with the cheapest room while paid for a more expensive room. Now both Priceline and Agoda are pointing at each other and neither are helpful nor refunding me for the difference in room type. SCAM, takes higher amount, sends lower amount and pockets the difference. NEVER use, not helpful, SCAM of a company.
