Horrible experience. Will not use Priceline ever again. Booked our flight to Rome with them, flights changed several times including different departure airports and they had no idea what was going on. Spent 1-2 hours conversations multiple times/days and they could not resolve the issue, kept transferring the call to different people, nobody could provide reasonable explanations, answers or options; had to explain at least 15 times that the layover they put us on was not enough and we will not make it on time for the next flight. Even when these were not changes we made or agreed on, they wanted to charge us for the changes we were requesting stating we already used our complimentary change. Total disaster and worst customer service we have ever seen.

Have to say this was the Worst experience ever. Would not use this service again.. starting with the hotel reservations to the car services. With the first car ride it seems like the driver just finished smoking and the car was smelling bad with smoke and the glass was up (bad for people with lung disease). Then getting to the hotel our reservations could not be found and had to be on the phone for 30mins in order to fix the problem.. Then getting a car back to the airport, the service was not accommodated, because of flight changed. Our money would not be refunded even though it was not our fault..

Worst experience ever! Priceline did not keep track of my flight's time change or updated my hotel reservation online, spent 30 minutes in the hotel lobby on the phone trying to confirm out my hotel reservation. My ride to the airport in NY refused to pick me up at my new flight time. WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE EVER AGAIN!

While booking a flight the system froze and did not receive confirmation that evening and charged me for a trip I ended up not taking. Thinking that it was not processed due to the system freezing up. Now I have to pay for this. So unfair. Be careful when system freezes up when trying to book. Even when you end up not going.

We made reservations for a hotel room and they got the wrong dates. When we reviewed the trip before leaving we found we did not have a hotel room for one day. We called to change the reservation and ultimately after having to call different places it took us 2 hours. We ended up having to completely redo the reservation and then have the first one canceled. The customer service agents had strong accents and were impossible to understand, spoke too fast, and would not listen or to my questions. Evidently they have things that they have to read off to us. It was just terrible. I will never use Priceline again and I will tell everybody I know to never use them, they'll be sorry if they do.

Used Priceline to book a hotel room at Quality Inn in Albuquerque. TV didn’t work, maintenance couldn’t fix it, hotel refused to move us to another room, and desk clerk was rude. Contacted Priceline for assistance but they wouldn’t give refund. Spoke to supervisor who contacted hotel to waive no-refund rule but they refused. Priceline was not helpful in resolving a bad situation. I’ll never use them again.

This is the worst company to use for reservations and I mean the worst customer service sucks and they suck. I suggest you find another reservation company.

We booked a rental car in Orlando FL through Priceline. The rental car company was Mex. We had to take a shuttle from the airport to the rental car place. We waited for more than an hour for the shuttle. We called and were on hold for more than 30 mins to speak with Mex. They assured us a shuttle was coming. We waited another 1/2 hour. We called Priceline and were on hold with them for another 15 mins. Finally after an hour and 45 mins a shuttle came. There was another Priceline customer who waited 49 mins longer than us. There were 3 other Priceline customers who waited a little less than us. When I spoke to Priceline customer service she basically said there was nothing ahead could do for us. We just had to keep waiting. I wish there was less than 1 star rating because they don't deserve any stars. Don't use Priceline or Mex Rental Car.

DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!!! Booked two rooms back to back, one at our halfway travel point and another at our final destination. First hotel we got to, which was paid and confirmed, well when we got there suddenly they wanted an additional $200, so we were forced to sleep in our car, contacted Priceline and it was a horrible experience with no help what so ever. Next day we get to our next hotel, and let me say is was absolutely disgusting, absolutely disgusting.
Bed had no protector on it and you could see stains through the single sheet they provided ‘no blanket’, pieces of wall and ceiling were falling into the floor, food was on the walls, toilet and tub were dirty, mattress was absolutely disgusting, carpet was nasty, smelled awful, tv didn’t worn properly, inhabitable. We went to the front desk as well as called Priceline and got nowhere. NEITHER of these rooms we stayed in, the first one we couldn’t even check in. I will post EVERYDAY in one way or another until I am refunded.

Wow! If I could give 0 stars .. I would. Priceline was awful. Our hotel we booked didn't fulfill what we booked AT all. Priceline said they would do nothing. For starters they double booked us & we walked in on another family in our room at midnight half naked. My small children were with us! They didn’t even apologize for putting us in that room. The front desk girl wouldn’t let us speak to management & walked off leaving us stuck in the hall at midnight with no room. I had to throw a fit for her to find us a new room. I booked and paid for our reservation in March. We booked 4 rooms at this hotel and all had terrible customer service & Priceline backed them. When she found us a new room, she put us in a double bed conjoining room. My kids weren’t going to sleep in an entire separate room. So my husband and I had to split up with them.
The hotel was nasty, had bugs and stuff on the sheets. Priceline did NOTHING for us after speaking with several supervisors. They completely condoned the hotel's behavior. They thought it was acceptable my family walked in on another family in our room at midnight! Which is dangerous and so unsafe not to mention embarrassing. I was livid. Hotels.com is who my mom booked through. They immediately refunded half her money and gave her a voucher for her next Hotels.com booking! Save yourself and never use Priceline! Book with Hotels.com instead. I have never been so mad in my life! This was ridiculous. We booked at the Microtel by Wyndham in Gatlinburg TN. Nowhere does it mention you may get an electric vehicle, which in my case I was staying at a relative’s house who does not have a charging station. I requested to change to a comparable vehicle that was not electric and was charged an upgraded fee of $346 by the rental company. I was under the impression the funds that were charged by Priceline would go towards the $346 but that was not the case, essentially I paid two separate fees. At no time did the rental company disclose that I would be charged two separate fees, one by the rental company and one by Priceline. This is false advertising, consumer harming, and poor representation.

Less than 24 hours after I made a reservation, and two weeks ahead of the stay, I wanted to change a paid hotel reservation and clicked cancel in order to change it. Then Priceline would not reinstate my paid reservation or refund any money. They said once I cancelled the reservation my money was gone, with no recourse. They point to the old standby, the rules that you (I) agree to. I have never had a company who would not help a person in this situation. All I wanted was my reservation back, or money back. After being on the phone for an hour and half the only options were to cancel. And not have anywhere to stay. Or get a 20% discount. Which doesn’t even put a dent in the price difference I paid. The rooms are $147 for what we received compared to the $298 for the 3 bedroom I paid. Priceline was like, "Sorry it’s all we can do." Sorry. Warning! please please do not use Priceline.com, more so if you have children in your group, for details please read on. I was reserving rooms for my family (2Adults 1 11yr old) for 2 different cities. I searched for 2 Adults and 1 Child (11yrs) with breakfast included in the filter through priceline.com. All room options listed mentioned that the room can accommodate up to 3 adults or in some cases 4 adults. I was asked make a room choice and enter payment information. Once I entered the payment information, the booking is now complete, however the booking was done only for 2 adults and they conveniently removed the child in both the bookings. I ended up paying extra EUR per day for my child for entire duration of stay.
During the process of selecting room and entering payment information the Priceline website does not show any specific details of what is being confirmed. Additionally one out of 2 hotels did not include breakfast, even at the time of room selection it showed breakfast was included. Here is what frustrated me to the core: I called priceline customer support and they said the booking was done through their partner website Agoda and asked me to follow up with agoda customer support.
After 10 follow ups with agoda they concluded that the priceline website has a bug and it sent false information to agoda during booking. However priceline customer support refused to look into this issue. I requested both priceline and agoda to include my child in the booking and both refused. Between the extra per day for my child and breakfast for one of the hotels I ended up paying almost as much as I spent for booking. I never encountered this kind of issue with Booking.com website. I am never booking through priceline website again and I urge my fellow travelers not to book through priceline website.

Makes one wonder does it even meet state ADA requirements? I Told him (night auditor a Mr. **) that would not work due to steps and no elevator. He continued and said he had a room on the backside of the property first floor.
Went to the room, opened the door and the cover up used to block the smoke sell was enough to choke a horse. Noticed the room was in serious disarray, broken night safety lock, laminate flooring stick up near the bathroom sink, cracked wall in the shower and even came equipped with a used washcloth still in the shower. The room appeared dirty and looked like something you would find on hooker hill or in a crack infested area. So unmaintained, the light on the nightstand was even missing the bulb. Left first thing in the morning after a very bad night's sleep. Left the key in the room as I have for the 100's of nights I have stayed in hotels for business and split.
A couple of days later, Mr. ** decided to charge my CC for the second night making claims in never checked out and housekeeping said I was still there. This ** doesn't have an honest bone in his body. The day I checked out, I was on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean that afternoon, very easy to verify due to customs. When I've arrived at the hotel, they said that Priceline booked a room for me only for 2 adults and I have to pay an extra $ 2900 to stay with the kids. They charged me for a room of 4 people but booked only for 2. It's a scam. And I want to sue them for that too.

Updated on 3/29/2024: I booked a hotel thru Priceline, they were $30.00 higher than the hotel would have charged me. A couple of days later I looked at my credit card statement, Priceline charged me $791.30, for what I still can't get an answer. I called Priceline several times, couldn't get an answer. I asked for a supervisor, never called me back. My credit card company is doing a fraud check. I will never use Priceline again.
Original review: I called Priceline for a hotel quote thinking that I would get the best price. They charged me $262.96. When I checked out of the hotel the bill was $231.44. Priceline would not reimburse me the difference. I will never use Priceline again! They advertise the best price guarantee, I guess not.

This is our second problem of this type with Priceline. In both cases the hotels that we suggested as part of a booking package were not accurate in their description and we have had to abandon the reservations before we checked in. Priceline has in both cases refused to issue a refund because we were within the 24 hour window despite them both being multi-day stays.
Our most recent issue was just 4 days ago on March 15th of 2024. The Priceline website showed photos for the listing that were not the hotel at all. The customer ratings were just as inaccurate. The hotel was not a hotel but a motel and when we arrived at the property there was obvious drug and prostitution activity in the parking lot during the afternoon in full daylight and with motel employees (maids) cleaning rooms. We felt that it was unsafe to stay there and contacted Priceline. We were passed through to a call center where a non-native English speaker struggled to understand what I was saying and I struggled to understand what she was saying back. After hanging up from the call I checked Google reviews and found them to be quite damning and quite accurate given my observations.
I am a gold whatever Priceline customer and have used them for decades with only two problems however given this latest issue will not recommend Priceline nor will we use Priceline in the future. I would not be surprised, in my own opinion of course, if there is a class action suit in Priceline's future based on what I consider at the least misleading and at the worse fraud in the representation of the properties that they choose to list AND recommend on their website.

Arrived at PHX Sky Harbor Car Rental Center (specified when booking) to learn that there would then be an additional shuttle to an offsite location. Made me uncomfortable and unsure of what was going on, especially late at night. This added an additional 5 minutes to find their shuttle pick up location, 10 minutes to wait for the shuttle, then a 10 minute drive to a new location. The Nu location is in a very unsafe neighborhood; I would never have agreed to this (non-refundable) purchase had this been made clear up front. They had armed security in masks (what the heck???). Inside the building was clean, staff were polite and took people in the order they got into line.
When trying to complete the transaction, I was pressured to upgrade from the vehicle I had paid for in advance. While this is standard and somewhat expected, when I declined the upgrade I was told it would be at least an additional 15 minutes for them to take the vehicle I reserved down the road to get the gas tank filled. What company doesn't have your vehicle ready, especially if your flight was an hour late?
I was then pressured to buy their insurance. I said, "No thank you, I have excellent coverage through my own insurance." They then required my policy details, which I've never had happen at a legitimate car rental. When I again declined, I was told that I would be responsible for $120 per day “for as long as it took to put the vehicle in service” if THEY decided there was a problem with it upon return. Not if I was in an accident or didn't return the vehicle, but if THEY made this determination. The situation was so non-standard and uncomfortable that I walked out, called a Lyft back to the car rental center and paid double on the spot to use a known car rental service. The whole experience was incredibly suspect – I would never have purchased had I been aware of the set up. Really the safety aspect was the biggest issue, so as a female traveler keep this in mind.

SCAM SCAM. Booked 2 flights. One from Paris To Rome, the second from Rome to Venice. We needed to change the dates. Called back to reschedule the dates and were told there was a change fee. Fine understandable. Ok willing to pay. 173.18 for one flight next flight 173.38 to change. When trying to pay the change they tried telling me my card was declined. There is no way my card was declined. She tried again and claimed it was declined again. I proceeded to call my bank with Priceline on the phone. So all of this is being recorded by Priceline since their calls are recorded.
My bank advised them that they have not received any attempt to charge my card and there has not been any type of decline. Priceline came back with they have tried 3 times to charge the card and it is coming back declined. My bank REP repeated what he said and let them know that they have not even tried to charge my card. NO transaction from Priceline had been made. Priceline then told me they had to escalate my call and open a ticket and would call me back in an hr.
I received a call back at 4:33AM. Obviously at this time I did not answer due to being asleep already. Priceline left a message saying they tried to call and I failed to answer. I called back the next day and to my belief the price had increased but was still under review and they would not let me pay the price I originally had even though the error was with there system. Needless to have say I am 4 days in trying to fight with them and still unable to make the changes needed. Daily they keep raising the price and daily keep telling me the price has increased and they need supervisor approval for the new rate and will call me back. I never get a call back.
I have asked to just pay the increase at this point. I don't even care anymore the price difference just let me pay. I have been on hold for almost 2 hrs waiting and they come back with they have to call me back that ITA airlines is not responded to them to make the change. Blaming the airline for their mistakes. I booked a rental car last Monday, March 11th, 2024. It didn't tell me I was booking through Priceline. It booked through some other 3rd party. But it ended up being Priceline. It doesn't state that the license much match the payment credit card and prepaid cards are not acceptable. After you book it, it tells you some of this but it's in fine print that is hard to read. Especially for a 65 year old. So, I get to Budget to pick the car up I paid to rent for a week. Over $200. Well, Budget wouldn't rent the car to me because I listed my son as the driver but paid for the rental with my card. That's the second time Priceline has taken my money without me being able to check in my room that I paid for for a week, over $300, and now this.
Everything booked through Priceline --non-refundable, non-refundable. That's a damn shame. If you like one wrong mistake when booking with them you are screwed and cannot change the booking or get your money back. That is a damn shame. That's how they do business. If you make a mistake using Priceline, you can forget it. Not to mention, if you book through them, hotels and car rentals have their own rules and they both make it impossible for you to fulfill your reservation. If you ask me, Priceline is a thief and should be prosecuted. They know what they're doing, and it's a shame. Everything you do through Priceline, non-refundable. SMH. I worked with an agent who told me that my leisure care would be transferred to a new booking for this summer. I was told to hold off on paying the balance until it was done. I had a chat agent tell me the leisure care would reduce my owed balance. (I save all screenshots and calls) I called the TA and left a message a week later to see if it had been transferred. Radio silence. I called later in the week and spoke to an agent who said she would resubmit a transfer form "again". I called back and left a message for Denise P. again without any call back. Priceline is not a reliable app, they will steal your money if they can. I was looking for a hotel to spend the night in New Hampshire and for some reason the booked was placed in Massachusetts. When I saw the state I called right away and their answer was: "yes we called the hotel but couldn't get on hold of the manager, the front desk told us that it would be ok to cancel but they needed the approval of the manager." They also said that next day it will be resolve. They were also going to help me to make the reservation in New Hampshire, and there is the prove that I stayed at other hotel that same night. This is not fair when you make the called right away and explain what happened and there is also prove that you sleep somewhere else using their app.. $380 that went to the garbage just because they didn't want to help.
This is sad and painful to know that they don't care about the customer. Call the next day and the next and today Monday February 19th 2024, they said that, "The cancellation was not approved, we are very sorry. Bye." Won't use this app anymore. I have had multiple bad experiences with Priceline. In 2021 they cancelled my booking but would not cancel my flight. So after a million phone calls and 3 months later they finally cancelled the flight and sent me a check. Fast forward to February 2024 I decided to give them a second chance. So that was stupid. I saw a great price on the website and tried to book it. It said my card was declined, tried several different cards. So I called and they said the dates were not available so they found a different hotel, for $80 more than what I saw online because they refused to use my genius discount but still a good price, and booked it with me over the phone. I never received a confirmation email and my bank wasn’t charged. So I called back to confirm that I had the reservation. They said I did but the email they had entered was wrong so they sent it to my actual email address. ALL of the information was wrong. Phone number, email address, address, and card info.
And the confirmation email looked fake, nothing like confirmation emails I have seen before. They said it was actually booked through booking, but the confirmation email said Priceline. Called booking just for them to say they can’t find it. Back to Priceline, told them all of the info was wrong and they said “oh so that’s why you weren’t charged! Well we need to escalate this to someone higher to listen to the phone calls and make sure it was our mistake.” WHAT!? I booked over the phone, so how would it be my mistake? I just gave the lady all the wrong info? Be so for real! Anyway they said it could take 2-3 days. Meanwhile hotels are selling out and prices are going up! They were really going to let me drive 10.5 hours with 4 kids just to not have a reservation when I get there! No one is helpful, 4 hours on the phone, transferred back and forth 100 times for nothing!! NEVER AGAIN!! Just don’t book with them!

The original dates came and went and I then got a bunch of emails saying “Thank you for your stay”. I called 3 times to talk to someone. Besides being on hold waiting for someone to take my call for more than 15minutes each time, I was also hung up on. The agent would say “I need to confirm your number can you please hold on.” And then the number would disconnect and I would not get a call back. This was before I was even able to explain the issue. I booked through Priceline and received confirmation email with receipt. Then when I get to Carwiz they say I need to have insurance on the car which then has magically increased the price adding an additional $160 (which is more than what the car rental cost). Not very pleased as this is very deceiving. Actual prices, as well as requirements should be disclosed at time of booking not when showing up to get the rental car. These are fairytale prices that get you hooked and then screw you. Some families budget accordingly and this is unacceptable. We ended up not taking the car because of how shady and scammy it felt. We were not able to get a refund of what was paid.
I do have car rental insurance through my own car insurance company but apparently, they still wanted to charge an addition fee to get the car insurance through them. This is so awful for a family to have to endure when on vacation especially when trips are budgeted and these additional surprise fees were not in the budget. The two in the front desk refused to even touch the computer to try and fix it. I told them I was passing through, and I needed to either move the booking or cancel it. The two workers told me it would get refunded once they spoke to Priceline. So I ended up being on the phone with Priceline and OYO with no help, and didn’t get to sleep before having to head back out on the road. So they wouldn’t refund this reservation that was made that same early morning.

I wanted to use a travel company that combined Flights and Hotels as it can be frustrating aligning the two and I wanted to take the hassle out of doing the bookings. A friend and I decided to choose Priceline. We spent a fall day perusing Priceline All inclusive Hotel and Flight Packages online and settled on a Sunscape property. We had some questions so we called and talked to an Priceline representative, who helped guide us to our choice. We got flights that were direct at a good price and we upgraded to the adult side of the inclusive resort. We were excited for our trip in February.
As the new year passed, we began to prepare for the trip, pulling up our documents. As we reviewed the Priceline Confirmation we saw where it should have read, “All Inclusive” it read, ”Breakfast Included.” This was distressing so we called Priceline. The first phone call included two agents, one a supervisor. They both said and did the same thing, “We can not reach the hotel to confirm that it is an all inclusive, but we will send you an email confirmation." I asked for a phone call as the trip was a little more than two weeks away and the cancellation deadline was fast approaching. Priceline said they would be in touch. I waited three days and called back. I had the same experience. “Hotel does not answer the phone so we can not confirm that it is an all inclusive," said the first representative, the Supervisor said the same thing and added, "Why don’t you try calling the hotel?”
This puzzled me as Priceline sent the invoice and as I explained to the representative, “I believe there was an error on the print out and perhaps the wrong box was checked.“ I tried the number they gave me and no answer. By this time, we were thinking about canceling the entire trip as we thought who wants to stay at a hotel that does not answer the phone and is not what we thought we were getting. We waited for that email. A third round of Priceline contact occurred a week after the initial inquiry. I had the EXACT same conversation with two agents and a supervisor, “you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.”
I did not believe the representative and my anxiety level was way high. So I did a little research and found a different number than the Priceline agents gave me. I called the general number for all Sunscape properties, explained my situation and Priceline’s inability to reach the hotel and was connected directly to the hotel reservation desk. THANK you to the reservation staff that was able to confirm our reservation was all inclusive and that the hotel is ONLY all inclusive.
Priceline, It’s a problem if you pose as a Travel Operator and can not contact properties you sell. It’s a problem if every travel agent speaks the same script to the consumer without follow through. I am still waiting for the email or phone call from Priceline. Hopefully the trip will be better than the experience with Priceline Customer Service. The experience was very stressful. I can not recommend Priceline as a reliable travel operator/representative/agent.

I arrived at the rental car agency at 5:15 PM, and they did not have cars available in the size that had been reserved just 24 hours prior. They only had a car in a category that Fox Rental Company considered $9 more expensive than the one I had initially reserved. The person assisting me asked me "what I wanted to do," implying that I had to pay more if I wanted that car, or else come back later. Never in my life, when renting a car, have I been treated like this. I blame Priceline for the business policies and agreements it has with mediocre companies like Fox Rent A Car and any other that treats a customer as poorly as they treated me. I also blame Priceline's refund policy, which still has my money held when I neither have a rented car nor was treated as a customer should be. They need to confirm that I didn't take a car for the refund to be processed, making me look like a liar, and they choose to believe their side of the story over mine. Also I had to pay a daily rate for tolls unlimited, lots of things to add more and long story short I took very good care of the car which performed very well, returned via automated key drop, no paperwork and after a week I received a charge on my credit charge for $2,600 with no reason so I call and they state because I traveled past state line, I am in breach and I get that charge additionally!! I booked a hotel in a emergency through Priceline. After arriving to the hotel room. It was awful. Very dirty, smelled like cigarettes. Hair all over the sheets. Mold in the ceiling. I walked right back out to the desk. The lady working the counter said I could have the money back but since I went through Priceline I would have to call them to get my refund. After talking to 2 representatives, one being the supervisor. They DID not want to give me my money back and offered a discount for a next stay. Even after the hotel saying to them, I could have my money back with no penalties. Priceline are crooks. How can they get the full refund from the hotel and refuse to give it to me and keep my money when I couldn't even stay in the hotel. I will never use them again and I advise others not to either.

I used Priceline to book a 5 star hotel in Madrid. They were having a promotional offer on their website for a suite room once I purchased - the itinerary came through as a Jr. suite room. The specs on the two rooms are completely different and this is very misleading. When I called customer services for support on this booking, the first agent I worked with told me on her end she was seeing a higher price for the suite and told me to cancel or confirm with the hotel, because there was nothing she could do.
I was then directed to another agent who confirmed that she also saw that I had initially made the reservation through their website for a suite, but the generated itinerary came through as a Jr. suite. She said she would offer me a refund for this and would escalate so their site was corrected and not misleading. I would say to stay away from this site completely as I've read other reviews with similar/worse experiences, and if you do book with them- be sure to proofread your details. I would say all in all it's not worth the pain and to book through more reliable 3rd parties.

Priceline is completely useless for potential customers! I was looking forward to booking a car rental through their website but they have convoluted details on their page and nonrefundable prices that made me hesitate on entering my payment details. Essentially, the car was to be "supplied by one of these brands" and they listed multiple rental companies. There is no way to confirm which company I would be assigned, and I'm not sure I would've been assigned a company after making the purchase. My biggest hesitation was if I was assigned, let's say Company X, and their offices close by 8pm and I landed at 9pm, I wouldn't know that I had Company X until after making my nonrefundable purchase.
2. Live reps over SMS will only "be able to help" if you have an existing reservation, which again is unhelpful if you're seeking more information BEFORE booking.
2a. Instead of actually trying to find a helpful answer, live reps over SMS will send canned responses and not answer your questions. They will not wait for you to finish typing your message before disconnecting and leaving you to deal with the chatbot.
This is a well-known brand and I am horrified that this is how they operate. Never again.

Few seconds later I receive a new email with an layover of 6 hours in one of my itinerary and the booking was confirmed. I would NEVER accept this. They tried to tell me that I need to pay $78 per ticket, per person. I PAID ENOUGH MONEY to not have a long layover. It’s Priceline fault since I originally booked with them. Bottom line is…. Do NOT TRUST this company. I would never accept a layover of 6 hours in the airport traveling with 2 kids and 2 seniors. So many regrets!!!

I used a "We Pick 3" option on Priceline to book a room for 2 nights in Nashville recently. I reviewed the 3 hotels offered, reviewing their amenities pages. On Priceline, the initial amenities page is the second page underneath the hotel description. However, if you continue to scroll down through 8 additional hotel suggested listings, you will find additional potential charges. In this case, a mandatory $40 daily parking fee, which increases your daily rate by $40. It you are budgeting $120 for a hotel and end up having to pay $160 per day, it's quite a substantial amount for the week.
I phoned Priceline when we checked in about the parking fee, stating that this was not listed on the amenities page. The agent simply read a script that I had entered into a contract with Priceline for this hotel. I asked for her supervisor and reached an impatient woman who did the same, read me a script stating that I had entered in to a contract for this hotel. I asked for her manager. She took my number and said that a manager would review the notes on the issue and call me back. I never received a call.
I approached the Hilton Garden Inn about the matter as I have stayed at these hotels for 20 years without issue. The clerk was short and not willing to discuss it, stating it was a Priceline issue. When I later reviewed the reviews on the hotel, I found that others were "surprised" by the mandatory parking fee. The next day, I saw a Hilton Garden Inn Supervisor and shared the same story I had the day before with the unresponsive clerk. She indicated that a she had discussed with her management that the mandatory parking rate was not in the amenities page, but buried in the hotel listing at the very bottom after many ads which most people will not scroll through, but management had not insisted on a change on the hotel's listings on Priceline or other hotel sites. This is a poor reflection on Hilton Garden Inns as well for not insisting that Priceline reveal the mandatory parking fees.

Updated on 04/01/2024: I am writing this review so that others will be aware of this company’s lack of integrity and not use Priceline. I called and wrote to Priceline many times and sent in documents countless times. After almost three months, Priceline sent me an email stating that I would not receive a refund. I was in Brazil on January 1st and I made a reservation at the Recoleta Grand Hotel in Buenos Aires through Priceline, #**, for the following day.
On January 2, I was feeling quite ill. I took a Covid test and it was positive. I decided to go home to the United States because I did not want to be alone at almost 80 years old in a country where I don’t speak the language. I immediately contacted Priceline along with all of my other hotels and flights. I bought a first-class ticket for $4100 to return to the US so there would not be people around me. All of my other hotel reservations and flights that I canceled were refunded without a moment’s hesitation. The reservation through Priceline has been a constant source of aggravation to me for three months.
I requested that my $760 be refunded to me at least 10 times. My calls were all answered by people whom I did not understand. They were trying to explain that I had to send the records as a PDF, only when they spoke it sounded like BBF and I didn’t know what they were talking about. This is an absolutely ridiculous situation. I eventually understood one representative and sent in the 2 PDF files. I did everything that they requested.
After all of this, they have refused to issue a refund. I don’t mind taking the time to write reviews so that others will not use this company. Any corporation that’s going to take my money who at almost 80 years old for the sake of a reservation that was less than 24 hours old when I had Covid is a despicable company. There are countless companies with integrity that one can choose.
Original Review: I made the mistake of making a reservation through Priceline. I was in Brazil and not feeling great. I had changed a previous reservation on Jan. 1. The new reservation was for Jan. 3. Later that night, I was really sick and decided to go home on Jan. 2. I'm 79 years old and I am at high risk. The following morning I tested positive for Covid. I contacted Priceline immediately to cancel on Jan. 1. They requested documentation from the doctor and I sent it twice. I keep trying to contact them and they don't respond. It is impossible to speak to someone. Do they want someone with Covid at a hotel? I had no problems with United nor American Airlines. This is ridiculous. I will not use Priceline again.

It wasn't until 2023 that I was informed that Priceline's policies stated that no refunds could be issued through them. However I could contact the airline itself to request a refund. I reached out to United Airlines. I followed the procedures that were given to me and the issue is still unresolved. Today I was talking to a manager in regards to the reasons of the flights being cancel due to a death and covid 19. The few issues that arose with reservations or during travel were easily resolved with a few phone calls, and I was always treated as a "Priceline VIP." But in 2022 I took a trip where I paid for everything in advance. Then the rental car company charged me again for the car. I tried to resolve it with the car company.
Then I turned to Priceline thinking they'd advocate for me or assist in some way. They escalated my issue to a supervisor but decided to do absolutely nothing, no refund, no discount, nothing. I had to go to the state attorney general to get my money back from the rental company, and I found others who'd been cheated by the same shady practices at the rental car location. Since then my profile on Priceline still says I'm a "VIP." I can search the site, but any time I try to book a hotel room it tells me the deal just expired. My recent experience with Priceline has left my family and me feeling utterly betrayed, as the platform failed to deliver on its promises and demonstrated a complete lack of accountability for the dismal state of the accommodations they promoted. Unfortunately, our trust in Priceline was misplaced, and we found ourselves stuck in a hotel far from the advertised amenities. Upon arrival at the hotel, it became apparent that more than half of the promised amenities were unavailable, leaving us disillusioned and frustrated. Discovering that Priceline does not take responsibility for falsely advertising the properties they promote on their platform is disheartening. The discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered reflects poorly on Priceline's commitment to its customers.
To add insult to injury, we were subjected to the hotel's demand for extra money upon arrival. This unexpected expense should have been communicated during the booking process, highlighting the lack of transparency and honesty in Priceline's dealings with customers and affiliated hotels. It's deeply disappointing that a company of Priceline's stature would engage in such practices, compromising the trust of loyal customers. What's particularly troubling is Priceline's apparent disregard for its customers' value. In their pursuit of profit, Priceline is willing to sacrifice customer satisfaction by associating with below-standard hotels that do not uphold the promised standards. This abandonment of customer trust for marginal financial gains reflects poorly on Priceline's integrity as a service provider.
In conclusion, my family's recent experience with Priceline has been nothing short of a letdown. The false advertising, lack of accountability, and additional financial demands have left us questioning the ethics and values of a company that should prioritize customer satisfaction. Until Priceline addresses these issues and takes concrete steps to rectify such situations, I strongly caution potential customers against trusting this platform when booking accommodations.

The booking was not acknowledged by the hotel as I originally contacted to immediately cancel only minutes after. And they has no record of the reservation. Why would your agent say the reservation was cancelled? Never was I told that there was going to be a review or investigation. I travel and stay away every other week. This response is absolutely in contrary to your agent. I will be posting this message along with your response on every single media I can and consider the hotel reservation as severance to never doing business with Priceline and warn others that your word means nothing!

I am in the military. I had bought tickets in advance to go on leave. My command limited our leave to 10 days so I tried to reschedule. It would of cost an extra 1700 to reschedule. I decided to ask for a refund. They said they could not do that even though my insurances covered full refunds. They told me to send a screenshot of proof of purchase so I did. They decided to charge me another $34.57 on top of the $598.27. Do not purchases tickets from Priceline.

I am a VIP member and was defrauded by Priceline. I purchased a ticket from Priceline for British Airways. This was during the covid time. I could not travel so British airways allowed priceline to issue a voucher. I had 1.5 years to rebook the flight but priceline did not let me rebook. I sent many emails and called many times but to no avail. I was put on hold by priceline representatives as soon as I told them that I need to rebook using a travel voucher. Priceline wouldn't let me rebook using the voucher online either so I could only call to rebook, which priceline effectively stopped me from doing.
Two weeks before the the travel credit was due to expire, I was offered a business class ticket and asked to pay additional $2500 more to rebook. I was told that economy class ticket is not available, which I told the agent was was available online on priceline website for only $1300. Eventually, my voucher expired and priceline kept the voucher amount. Never buying from them again.

I booked an all-inclusive trip flight & hotel package to Cancun for Feb 19-24 2024 online. The hotel portion is fully refundable until Feb 13, the flight was non-refundable but changeable. I called and spoke to an agent to move my flight to an earlier time on Feb 19th, stating I would only do so if the fee for the change was reasonable. She said it would only be $90/per person, so I went ahead. She told me that I would receive an email confirmation after booking and payment. When I received the confirmation email headed ‘congrats on your trip Monday Feb 19th 2024 is confirmed!”, my flight was now for DEC 19th- FEB 24th!!! I called back to rectify the situation, only to be told that it would cost me almost $700/per person to reschedule to Feb 19th.
I told the agent, I would have just kept my original flight, so please put me back to my original flight. I was told it would cost me again to return my original flight. The agent told me my call would be escalated and I would receive a call in 24-48hrs. Then it became 3-5 business days. Today is business day #5, and I’m being told another 3days because they don’t have the tools to listen to my call with the agent who made the error. Clearly, it is Priceline’s error. Why would I book my flight Dec 19-Feb 24 when my hotel is Feb 19-24?
I’m not **, don’t have anywhere else to stay there, nor do I live a life of leisure that I can take off from work for 2 months!!! The erroneous Dec 19th flight is in less than a week and I just keep getting the runaround. Poor customer service especially being a Gold Priceline customer. All I want is my old flight reservation at no cost. I'm incredibly disappointed as I really wanted to take a trip with my daughter to bring some joy after the death of my father. Shame on Priceline.

I see there is lots reviews about Priceline rip people off. I had the same experience with them, had dealing with them for my refund over half year now, they keep lies to you the refund is in process, takes 3-7 days, after several times them they switch to which method you like to refund, get your extend times again and again, then verify your address for refund by check. Of course you wait and nothing happens, more weeks go by after follow up. The next they change to refund by your card, wait and wait again, times are go by again. Keep going with lie to you will process 24 hours …. Many back and forth by check or bank. But you will never receive your money lol … I have not ever see any company like this, I had book things with them for many times, but will never do it again! The company seems is going down….

I paid for a flight and hotel package to Houston on the 8th of December for 3 days. The lady that was helping me book the flight informed me that I could get a window seat if I paid $30 extra which I did. You all can imagine my surprise when on the date of my flight not only did I NOT get a window seat but I was placed in the aisle on the very last row on the plane next to the toilet. So I had to not only endure the smell of people using the toilet but also move my shoulders out of the way for people going and coming. It was the worst airplane ride of my life and I will never use Priceline again for any flight and hotel package.

I booked a flight and rental car for my daughter. The rental car portion of the booking said that all taxes and fees were included. She didn’t realize that when she picked up the car in Denver and was hit with $125 in taxes and fees. When I contacted Priceline, they said that the reservation did not include taxes and fees. I sent them a screenshot of the same reservation, showing where it says the taxes and fees were going to be included in the rental car. After chatting back-and-forth for 30 minutes, they basically said too bad, there was nothing they could do, and ended the chat. Borders on fraud. Was also booked with a substandard car company.

Really give no reviews. When I was a site to book a certain hotel. They said click here for a good deal. So I did thinking it was the same hotel I was looking at. Never got to see the hotel until the complete checkout. I was booking a room where I can have my dogs. I selected the room that was refundable with 2 beds. After I complete the hotel stay. They had me booked into room that wasn't refundable. I can't stay at this hotel because they don't let bring in your pets. I called. They won't refundable me my money. Can't stay there with my dogs. They are ripping people off. I got no refund and no stay. They are fraudulent. I am out of the money. And couldn't stay at this hotel. Not the hotel I wanted. They should be shamed of their self. Ripping people off.

Priceline has false advertising and I’m so disappointed. I have been using Priceline for so long and just recently booked a Privilege room on their website then I received booking confirmation and it’s showing Standard room. Contacted customer service and was told that Priceline is wrong but if I want to get Privilege Room I have to pay $65 extra per night. Is that how Priceline do business? Giving false advertisement and will never take responsibility?

We booked a fight, rental and hotel right after thanksgiving to see a sick family member in Florida. Our flight went great. We went to get our rental car and they canceled our reservation. They said we needed to pick the car up at 10 am. I said that is not right our flight did not get in until 10pm. We had to make another reservation and pay twice as much as we did with Priceline. Now we have been trying for 2 weeks to at least get a refund on what we originally paid. Dealing with Priceline has been impossible. No one is nice. All they do is say sorry and repeat over and over what I have told them. I would never book with Priceline again. We are now going to dispute things with the credit card company because we obviously are getting nowhere with Priceline.

I booked a hotel through Priceline, but was an horrible experience. Hotel was 'Travelodge by Wyndham Memphis' but has nothing to do with the Wyndham. Hallway floor was looking old and not worth the money I paid for it. The housekeeping was finishing cleaning the room and advised me the room was not ready. Her manager came to assist and noticed there was not TV in the room and asked her personnel to bring one. Room furniture was old, gum on the wall, bathtub was not very pleasant, the bed even worse experience I've ever had. I recommend people really research the hotel they are looking to book is going to be as the pictures posted online.

I made a hotel reservation on Priceline.com and canceled it during the full refund guaranteed period and expected to get a full refund as promised automatically. I also got an email that my reservation is successfully canceled and I'd get a refund shortly. However, with no refund even after more than a week, I contacted Priceline.com via chat and found out initially that my booking was not canceled and after chatting with an agent, she mentioned it is not showing up at their end because the booking was made in fact with Priceline Group Company, Booking.com and asked me to reach out to them instead. I wish the process is direct, smooth and does not shock customers. I did speak with Booking.com and found out that the refund can take up to a month.

The hotel in Madina pricing was book and paid upfront based on Priceline with sister partner Agoda. It's your internal issue regarding the incorrect rate reason the hotel wants to cancel the booking or want more money from you due to the rate difference between you and them. Priceline and partner agoda must take a hit and accommodation booking service. After talking to customer service with Priceline and Agoda have such poor service that they will send me a refund to my credit card within 30 business days. Priceline never disclosed this booking under their sister company Agoda. Both are bad reputable companies. They just playing games and collect more money later for booking. There is no option for zero star in the system. That's what they deserve.

Priceline’s “travel insurance” on their flights is a complete scam. When you are checking out they offer the insurance under the guise if you need to cancel your flight you are covered by the optional insurance ($18). We were flying to Mobile for a tennis tournament and due to weather it was cancelled. So I was told to contact the Allianz - the third party insurance company and file a claim. Well the first thing Allianz says is go look at page 12 and 13 of the policy to see exclusions. There are 25+ exclusions and basically EVERY and ANY reason you would need to cancel a flight is listed as an exclusion.
The ONLY thing that is somewhat covered is a medical emergency and even that is not completely covered. If you have a pre-existing condition they don’t cover that. They don’t cover Covid. They don’t cover ANYTHING. You are paying an extra $18 for absolutely nothing. And since it was an express deal my plane ticket is non refundable and non changeable so I’m out almost $200. Never book an express deal on Priceline for plane tickets - book directly with the airline because they will allow you to make changes to your reservation unlike Priceline. Just pay the extra money and book with the airline - it is worth it! I personally will never use Priceline again.

I went online to book a hotel. I searched a certain zip code and a certain city which I needed to stay in. It then gave me a list of hotels to choose from. One of the options had 3 hotels. If I chose that option Priceline would choose one of the 3 hotels. I was not able to see the addresses to those hotels but the pictures looked decent so I was ok with staying at either one of the 3. Once I paid for the hotel I got a email confirmation to a hotel in a different city and a different zip code. I called customer services and spoke to a gentleman which I can barely understand. It was obvious that the call center is not in the US.
I asked, "How is that possible that I chose a city and zip code and you guys put me in a different city." His answer was that they don't choose that. The system does and I chose that option. I advised him that I chose a different city and I cannot drive to another city because it's too far. I then asked, "What if I chose a hotel in Texas and the system chooses a hotel in California, am I supposed to pay for that?" He said yes. He said he cannot get me refund once I book. I asked to speak to manager and manager was not much help either. She was even harder to understand because of thick accent. What a joke... Well I guess don't ever use priceline again. My trip number is **.
