When I got the credit card and booked a room, the price I booked was lower than what I actually got. After talking with Priceline customer service, they told me there was nothing they could do even though they work with and recommended the booking service. Use at your own risk and I've spoken with others who had the same experience. 🤨

I have just lost my Daughter so yes I am a mess. On top of it all I have never rented a car in my entire life. So I picked up my phone and went to Priceline because my daughter always said they are the best, so I booked a car and didn’t realize I fat fingered the dates so that is where it started. I begged them to please fix it but because I booked the cheapest car because I don’t have a lot of money and just trying to my family because I am a mess from my daughter passing away because I needed to pick the car up on the day I guess I said was the drop off date so I lost that money and now have to do it again and I am scrambling to now come up with more money so I can get there. I really just needed someone to have some understanding and just help me. Where is your customer service and maybe even some empathy

Flew into Orlando to pick up a car from Real Car car rental. I booked the car thru Priceline. The shuttle took 30 mins and the person I had to call for pickup was dreadful. That’s the good part. The rental counter was a video screen with a person who spoke broken English. Price quoted by Priceline was around 86$. Right Car wanted 49$ insurance verification fee. After looking at my insurance certificate, they wanted about 20 a day extra because I’m a senior, not sure of all other fees but excluding a toll transponder they added up to about 226 in fees plus the 80 plus dollars I had in a black and white quote.

Priceline was zero help. Do not use them. Orlando is full of off brand car rental companies. Some may be ok but don’t gamble. It’s a sham. I left and the person next to me left also. Most off brand car rental cos in Orlando get rated 2 out of 10. I’m surprised they get to a 2. They are a zero. My next email goes to the FL consumer protection agency. Right Car and Priceline should be banned.

Priceline and the hotel took advantage of my elderly mother. I have used Priceline quite a bit and never have I heard of a service fee of $100 for a two night stay. I paid for the stay on Priceline. Never had a been so embarrassed after hearing they charged my mother more after her long trip when she showed up. Vendors need to stop adding fees and just add it into an honest upfront price. I am done with Priceline.

Priceline sold tickets to Frontier Airlines. Frontier changed the name on the reservation and refused to honor it. The name on the original booking, itinerary, and every other place was perfect. Priceline confirmed that the name on the original booking is correct and therefore told me there was nothing they can do. They told me I can purchase new tickets, but of course out of my own money. They will not contact Frontier to resolve the issue, have credit issued, or refund. I am out hundreds of dollars because I booked with Priceline, Frontier made an error, and there is no manner to resolve it. Actually, I wonder if the booking error was Priceline and not Frontier. I don't know.

I will definitely not be using Priceline again. Price line booked my reservation at the Holiday Inn in Florence SC. I was traveling with elderly people and the hotel elevator was out of order for more than a week according to other hotel guest. Blame-Shifting and Lack of Resolution attempts to resolve the situation were met with a frustrating cycle of finger-pointing between IHG and Priceline. No one took responsibility or the initiative to address the problem. This lack of coordination and accountability is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management practices of both companies.

Neither Priceline or Holiday Inn Express offered any additional accommodations without a substantial price increase. When calling Holiday Inn corporate I was put on hold for over 48 minutes and no one ever returned the the phone call. Neither Priceline nor Holiday Inn Express offered any form of compensation or meaningful support despite the clear inconvenience and distress caused.

Let me start out by saying, I was really disappointed in the service. The supervisor I spoke with, was the absolute worst. I called to complain about the inhabitable room I was given by the Days In North Augusta, and the Priceline supervisor pretty much dismissed my claim. He called the front desk and because they claimed I had been upgraded, there was nothing Priceline was willing to do. The A/C unit leaked water under the floor tile from the door to the bathroom, so when I walked you could hear the water squish. The tub looked like Scabbies ground zero. Mold along the walls and baseboard from the water leaking, and cigarette burns in the sheets. Please see the pictures I am posting.

This is horrible, to even keep a person in this hotel is outrageous, and in-human. And to make some pay full price with no compensation is down right Tyrant of you all. You all should not even promote such a place. As a seasoned Hotel General Manager myself, I urge you all to stay away from Priceline and it's affiliates. Ps. I tried to upload the video, but it would not let me.

PRICELINE.COM INSURANCE SCAM ALERT – BEWARE OF COVER GENIUS/XCOVER TRAVEL INSURANCE. Cover Genius (address: 11 W 42nd St, 30th Floor, New York, NY 10036) is offering what appears to be fraudulent travel insurance coverage through its brand Xcover. I purchased a policy through a trusted travel platform (Priceline) expecting legitimate coverage. What I got instead was a nonexistent service with no way to file a claim, no working phone numbers, no functioning website links, and zero customer support. When I had to cancel my trip due to a medical emergency on the day of departure, I attempted to submit a claim and was met with a dead end at every turn:

Their online claims portal was non-functional.
No valid customer service contact numbers are available.
Emails and support requests go unanswered.

There is no way to reach a live human being.

This is not an insurance provider. This is a scam hiding behind tech and red tape. It’s disgraceful that reputable platforms like Priceline are partnering with this company. Consumers are paying for a service that does not exist, and it seems designed to make sure you cannot file a claim when it matters most. What You Should Do: Avoid Cover Genius/Xcover at all costs. Report them to:

    FTC – Federal Trade Commission
IC3 – Internet Crime Complaint Center
    Your state’s Department of Insurance
File complaints with the BBB and consumer protection agencies.

Dispute the charge with your credit card provider for services not rendered.

Do your due diligence before trusting any "insurance" that Priceline or other platforms sell. This company is nothing more than a digital façade meant to collect premiums and vanish when it's time to pay out. Be warned. Save your money. Protect yourself.

Let me share my recent experience, which turned out to be a nightmare. About a month ago, I booked a hotel through Priceline, excitedly planning a trip with my family. We arrived at the hotel, only to be met with the disappointing news that they had overbooked. My heart sank as they explained that they had given my room away, and the only option left was a cramped room with just one bed for me and husband and all my children.

I had been so eager to show my family the spacious hotel room I had secured, and instead, I felt utterly embarrassed as they joined me at the front desk, hoping to see our future accommodations. The staff offered me a $100 discount per night, which was somewhat comforting, but it did little to resolve our sleeping arrangements.

That first night was a struggle. The kids and I ended up on the floor, and by morning, I had to ask for a room with at least two beds. The front desk staff informed me I could only receive a $50 discount instead and would check for another room. To my relief, they found us a new room, but it was still the same size, just with two beds—so we all squeezed in together for our remaining days.

The hotel itself left much to be desired. It was unclean, and every day we found ourselves making trips to the front desk for basic necessities like towels, which were often dirty, and toilet paper that was never replenished. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I’ve decided that neither I nor my family will ever return to this hotel, nor will we book through Priceline again. It was a tough lesson learned, and I hope to spare others from a similar fate.

I’ve used Priceline in the past and I do believe they give you pretty good deals. However on this last trip they were a bit misleading. I know better than to book a car rental off site. I've learned that lesson in the past by waiting for a shuttle for 45 minutes in the dead summer in Florida. But so on this one trip while booking it said ‘Fox rent a car’ southwest Florida airport. So I assumed the car was at the airport. Well it wasn’t. It was off site. So again had to wait 45 mins for a shuttle. I will be leaving a review for fox as well. I wanted Priceline to know that they were not as honest. It usually says while booking ‘at airport’ or ‘off site’. I would literally have to check the address of fox or the airport to know where they were exactly. I mean who does that. So you can say it was my fault for not checking thoroughly. But even with that said, it also didn’t say off site.

I booked a large SUV rental through Priceline. I was taking four teammates on a trip. Each with their own luggage. I also had several additional gear items. I got an email confirmation, and everything seemed to be good to go. I arrived on time to pick up the vehicle and was told they didn't have the large vehicle I chose or anything similar. I called Priceline's 800 number, spoke with their customer service rep and was told that all I can do is cancel my reservation. They made no attempts to reroute me to a different rental company or offer me an alternative deal on two smaller vehicles. The vehicle rental company was bad, but Priceline was worse for leaving me stranded. It's a numbers game for them. They don't care about their customers. They care about volume sales. I booked our flights from the USA to Dublin back in January 2025 through Priceline on British Airways, and my flight is in 9 days. I have not heard a peep from either company since then about my flight itinerary, well actually Priceline today at 9:25am confirmed my flight (the one that I booked). I got an email from British airways today about upgrades and went to check them out...luckily I had done this... I saw that my flight to and from had been changed, not just the times but the days as well, so that meant that our return flight, out of Dublin, was one we could no longer catch since we would be in London at the time. Does not matter much, but side-note when the flight was rebooked the layover between flights was only 5 minutes which is not enough time! I called British Airways first and they said that since I booked through Priceline and Priceline had been the ones who changed the flights they could not help me.

I called Priceline and it was amazing how the agent was able to basically tell me there was nothing he could do except offer a refund. He said British airways had no flights and they could not use the money I paid for other airlines makes no sense... the agent kept repeating the same things over and over, this is a huge issue. I just had a very similar issues with VRBO and something has got to change, everyone is willing to take our money, but when we have issues they all have loopholes and "reasons" they just cannot help us. Priceline is no better, horrible customer service. The agent kept explaining things to me like I was the idiot. I did not appreciate his repetitive explanations.

Flight The Most Scam Airlines, Spirit, that has no value for their customers, is listed on priceline, and I recommend that Priceline shouldn’t listed this airlines on their website. Or they should clearly let their customer to be aware in certain scam behavior of the Sprit Airlines. This Airlines will make you rebook your tickets for additional $99.00 for domestic flights if you there 30 minutes before the flight and don’t let you go through TSA. 2nd Priceline shouldn’t encourage by saying the most booked hotel, such as hotel Rodeo INN, Austin Georgetown, which is way below the standard specialty for family travelers, advertised with such greatest picture and trick and leave their valued customer with such terrible experience.

3rd. Again when you made a list for rental car, ’they should clearly let us the rental car like Easyrent or others. They are offsite of the airport and their business hrs. Got Austin International Airport at 9:45 pm and the rental co has closed at 8:00 pm and imagine you travel and hoping you have a prepaid rental car and end up walk in to other rentals last minute rental with higher price. We tried Priceline for our hotel. We made a mistake and booked for the wrong day, but immediately called Priceline to tell them what we did and they said they will still help us as long as we contact the hotel. We did and they were very accommodating, and was able to switch the days. When we got to the hotel they said they saved the room for us but Priceline wasn’t going to pay. When we called Priceline, they said that they weren’t going to help us because we cancelled and they wouldn’t give us a refund. Which was incorrect, we wanted to switch the days, NOT cancel. They then said that the only way to fix the issue was to cancel, but they wouldn’t give us a refund. We told them the information is incorrect and they were supposed to switch the days and we would pay the difference.

We got the round about with the customer service saying they contacted the hotel and it was their issue. Incorrect because we were in the lobby the whole time and Priceline did not call. The woman who helped us first was so rude, interrupting my husband when he spoke and was not doing what she said she was. We then talked to a manager at Priceline who said they would help us, but then switched us to the card processing area. They were trying to charge a wrong card, which we have no idea where they got their information, then only charged $1 to a card. They were giving the poor man at the lobby the run around.

I have no idea why they would put in their policies that they would be able help with switching dates for rooms if they will not help. Then the clincher, after over an hour of the back and forth, they hung up on my husband without resolving the issue. Worst customer service EVER, and they try to get you to cancel so they get their money. We WILL NOT book with them again and I encourage any who read this NOT to book with them.

What a nightmare. I booked a flight through Priceline and bundled a car rental. When selecting my flight I picked my time of departure for an 8 a.m flight. I was given only one option for a car rental place that apparently doesn't open until 6 a.m which is off site from the airport. I now have to pay for an Uber to get to the airport and rush to hopefully make a flight. I called to complain regarding the inconvenience this has now caused me on my trip. When you're given a service by a travel agency company you would think that they would give you flight times and rental services that would coordinate an efficient time management for you. That is the entire point of using a service like this. They claim their systems don't work like that. How does that even make sense that you would bundle a flight and a car rental service that doesn't open in a timely manner for drop off.

While on my call they offer me a coupon that can only be used for October and expires which is a joke. I ask to speak to a manager. Only to be transferred to a supervisor. Who offers no resolution and tells me the conversation is unproductive when I ask to speak to an actual manager. Then tells me I can't speak to a manager. That they will give me a call back within 24 hours. Which is also absolutely ridiculous. Then I find out if miss the managers call they don't provide a call back number and I have to call customer service again and do the process all over. But I was the one being unproductive. That is unproductive. Your customer service is unproductive. You offered no resolution to your lack of ability of time management in your failed system and I suffer from that and the best you offer is a coupon that can only be used in a certain month and expires? Worst customer service I have experienced.

I booked a rental car through Priceline for a weekend trip. I show up at the counter and the woman tells me I can’t take the car out of state. Out of state? What is this, North Korea? Nowhere in the rental agreement did it say, “By the way, this car is on parole and can't leave the state.” So now I have to book another rental car and pay five times as much. Great. Cool. Everything's fine. I'm totally fine. My eye starts twitching a little, but I'm mostly under control. I end up having to take a bus...A BUS...to another location like a character in a depression-era novel. I get into a long line and wait two hours. One guy in front of me tried rent a car with an expired license like it was totally normal and then wouldn't leave the counter. The eye twitch is now getting stronger...

Now here’s where it gets fun: I try to get a refund from Priceline for the car I never even touched. Nothing. Radio silence. All their customer service numbers lead to nowhere. They refuse to even admit that my reservation even existed! Then the robot transfers you to another robot who immediately hangs up. Then it texts you a link to a web page that doesn’t exist. It charged my card alright, but refused to admit the purchase ever happened. Is this real? Am I real? Did I die and my ghost is making purchases inside the simulation? Is this eye twitch getting worse? What does it all mean?

So I guess I just donated money to Priceline, like I’m a patron of the arts and they’re a struggling local theater doing an immersive performance run by HAL 9000. I’ve been using Priceline for years like a loyal little dog. But that’s over now. I’m done. I’ll book my next trip through a creepo in a trench coat behind a gas station before I use Priceline again. Welcome to the new world; travel booked by a glitchy robot who pockets your money and there's nothing you can do about it. "PRICELINE: Welcome to the dystopian future of travel."

Worst experience ever! Rented a car for a trip to Europe starting in Switzerland, through Priceline. The car rental company was called Priceless. We reserved a Mercedes class a vehicle and what they gave us was a compact Ford SUV with multiple cosmetic imperfections. We prepaid ahead of time for the week car rental so we were locked into this rental as cancellations were not permitted. When we protested about the Ford not being a Mercedes we were told that their company considers a Mercedes and Ford to be in the same class 🤔

They also wanted to charge us an additional $950.00 for the week to drive it out of Switzerland but did not mention this when we reserved it. We were told it was in the “fine print”, they also charged us $120.00 extra for the additional driver. It was in the fine print also?? We ended up making alternate arrangements, as a refund was not possible, to stay in Switzerland with the rental, not happy about that. My fiancé booked this through Priceline trip # **. Will avoid both Priceline and Priceless car rental in our future travel plans. Later we found out Enterprise does not charge fees to drive a rental car out of Switzerland so go with them if you need to travel outside original destination.

Similar to other experiences, Priceline refund process is the worst. As a consumer, you have options—I’d go with someone else and in the future I will. I’ve literally delete the app. I rented a car through Priceline for an event I needed to attend. I was on a very tight timeline. When I landed I was informed that although I had a reservation—no cars were available—no upgrades/nothing. The rental car company “$”, was worthless to say the least. This forced a rental from another company, at the last minute, at double the cost. Kudos to National. After calling and getting a grasp of the documentation needed for reimbursement I provided this to them promptly and was assured a quick turnaround. While I received a refund for the original cost, I did not get reimbursement of the difference. Which is policy if this happens.

I’ve called them 4 times and gotten the same, almost to the letter monologue, in hindsight, I should’ve recorded them. Bottom line they stated to the letter, "It’s been referred to our operations division and you’ll hear something in 3-5 business days”. I honestly believe their strategy is for you to give up and forget about it. This is going on 60 + days and still nothing despite them acknowledging that they have some equity. This last ‘customer service rep was the worst. I provided an ultimatum that either I was staying on the phone until I spoke to someone above her, had a resolution, or she hangs up. Guess what her answer was—“click”. That in itself should tell you something.

What an absolute nightmare it has been dealing with Priceline. Three months later and still no resolution. Long story short, we stayed at RIU Punta Cana in May! The staff entered our room when we weren't there and stole credit cards and cash nightly. WE informed the hotel but of course they didn't care and told us we need to resolve this issue with Priceline. We have tried to make a police report but apparently it is not allowed in DR because that has been another nightmare. We simply have been asking for our money back for the portion of the hotel and 3 months later still nothing. This has been the most infuriating, painful and disappointing experience ever. Go to another site for your bookings. Priceline does not care about you and are the most unorganized site in existence. They are not there to help you just to take your money. So sad.

No Refund just start all over again after being inconvenienced by Alamo Rent A Car at Atlanta Airport. Priceline did absolutely nothing to try to correct the matter and make sure their customer was provide with the service they had paid for!!!

On top of that Alamo Atlanta airport is Horrible and I wouldn't recommend them to my Worst Enemy. They treated my Son who rented a Premium SUV (Audi) from them in Charlotte to drive to an event he had in Atlanta GA for it to not start on day 2 for No Reason. It had to be Towed! As a replacement car they give him an OLD "Have seen better days" Mitsubishi Mirage that he "Had" to drive for two days while they (customer service & Management) continue to lie to him that they were going to see what they can to assist him. Clearly #1 Alamo does not maintain good maintenance on their vehicles and #2 they do not honor their contracts and #3 They don't provide GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

They gave him a sorry excuse that they had to provide the cars for people who are leaving the airport and because he picked up the car in Charlotte he should be satisfied that they got him in that mirage! It shouldn't matter if the car was picked up in another city/state how about Alamo should be Alamo where ever you go and you do your DUE DILIGENCE to provide for your customer who paid for a service and a Premium vehicle.

On an on top of that he received conflicting information from customer service who told him that if they have no cars available "ALAMO" should reach out to neighboring car rental agency's at the airport or one of their local branches to provide a comparable car for him. They did absolutely nothing to assist my son in finding him a comparable vehicle to the one he rented. As a result Inventory that he purchased that, that premium SUV could accommodate for had to be thrown away. And money gone because that little Mitsubishi Mirage couldn't accommodate. This was extremely frustrating because I clearly remember choosing insurance during checkout. Customer support was unhelpful and simply said that "the insurance didn’t go through." TRASH. I booked an entire vacation package through them. DO NOT DO THIS. They have a 0% common sense customer service base. Booked plane, rental car, and hotel through them. Not only did they screw up in setting up the flights, when I contacted them on travel day as the flight leaving BWI was non-existent. They attempted to ask for an additional $1000 for 2 plane tickets to FL and the person had the nerve to say, this is the price when I book at the last minute even though it was their mistake and they don't pay attention. I found the same flight that they tried to sell me the 2 tickets for $1000, for only $500 for the pair. They attempted to get 100% profit out of me. Then they had to modify the time of arrival. Then original flight that they claimed to have purchased would have had me arriving at 11:30 am. The new flight has me arriving at 10:00 pm.

The genius on the phone said they would hold the hotel and rental car for 2 hours past the original time. No need for modification. Clearly common sense and math isn't there thing as I was going to be arriving 11 hours later. But in order to do any task, they have to transfer you to another person. After 3 hours on the phone and 5 agents, 4 supervisors. (One required for each part of the trip had to be a different person - great customer service (NOT).)

The one handling the rental car advised me that in America rental car agencies don't open local offices until 11:00 am. Clearly clueless and lazy. So I had to get transferred to a supervisor who wasn't to much better. They will not give you the contact numbers for direct contact as you would find out that they make 100% profit off of you and in some cases don't pay for your package in advance hoping that you are forced to cancel and they can keep the money. These guys are real pieces of crap with no care or concern for the customer. AVOID. (Also through BOOKING.COM) SAME unholy connection in the two companies.

They asked me to email them the proof of my reservation 3 times!

Another experience with them happened just recently in June of 2025. I tried to pay for booking and the system did not accept my credit card. I entered another credit card but they have changed the dates of my reservation! As a results I payed for the reservation in July, instead of June! As result I had to pay for the room twice! Of course, I have not use my second reservation which I do not need! I have lost more than $200 with Priceline.com and 5-6 hours of my time! I would recommend to avoid them at all costs! Hotels have their own discount systems and it is much easier and cheaper to book with them! Priceline customer service is a disaster! What should have been an exciting family trip turned into a nightmare filled with stress, poor service, and a complete lack of accountability from Air Canada. After landing in Rome, we missed our connecting flight to Dubai. The Rome airport could not assist us, as they do not have an Air Canada representative on site. We had no choice but to call Air Canada’s customer service line. After extremely long hold times, we finally reached an agent who rebooked us on a new Emirates flight to Dubai. We were reassured that our four checked luggage would be transferred to the new flight without issue.

We flew out of Rome on Sunday, July 6th at 3:45 PM and arrived in Dubai around 11:30 PM. Unfortunately, none of our four checked bags arrived. We filed a claim with Emirates, who informed us that since the original booking was with Air Canada, we must follow up with them directly. It is now Tuesday, July 8th, and we still have not received any of our luggage. We’ve made multiple attempts to contact Air Canada, only to be met with long hold times, disconnected calls, and rude, unhelpful agents who have shown no sympathy or urgency. To make matters worse, we have not received any compensation for the inconvenience, the missing luggage, or for the cancellation of all our planned reservations in Dubai due to the delay and lost bags.

We are currently stuck in a foreign country without our belongings, proper clothing, or any reliable communication from the airline. This has been one of the most disappointing travel experiences we have ever had. We expected much better from a major international airline. We are sharing this review in hopes that Air Canada or Priceline takes responsibility and finally provides the support and resolution we deserve.

I presented the issue to a live representative where I was told that nothing could be done about it And not only that they did nothing to assure me that this would never happen again in the future, I was told to deal with it and to move on I spent quite a ton of money using the Priceline app and that will not happen again.

I started my search over but was presented the same option so I figured it must be an update or cache issue on my browser. Fast forward nearly 24 hours and I resume my search on a different device; the same fare is still showing but will not allow me to book. I called customer support for assistance with booking. They said that the rate had, "just sold out" and sometimes their site takes 3-4 hours to update. Their only solution was to book me an itinerary that was 2x the original trip. Classic bait and switch move.

However, when I file a claim it was denied since the policy did not state they would cover the additional hotel and meals. I then called Priceline customer care and explained the issue. At that time, my husband called American Express to check on the charges because he didn't realize we would be charged immediately. It was cleared up that day. AE sent the money to Priceline. Priceline never notified us that the reservation was canceled and never returned the money. So we were stuck with no reservation and no money and no apologies. Even in their system to this day, Priceline's system said there was a reservation until they looked further. Will NEVER use them again. FYI, they partner with Reservation Desk. That means I input my name correctly into Priceline but Priceline input my name as (Zhengbing **) to Emirates airline wrongly. You can find the attached snapshots.

I made an immediate call to Emirates airline for a correction request. But I was advised that I can only make the correction request through ticket agent - Priceline. Then I made over 20 calls to Priceline air customer care team with the case number: ** for the correction request but yet resolved till today 7/13/2025. We booked a five-star hotel in Washington, DC, during July of 2025. Upon our arrival, we were informed that we'd be charged a $35 daily amenity fee. When we checked out, that amenity fee was, indeed, charged to our credit card along with a $5-and-change room tax per day. I reviewed Priceline booking page for this hotel and our itinerary for the fine print about this amenity fee. Only after reviewing the itinerary and specifically looking for the info did I notice this statement: "This hotel charges an additional $173.95. This fee will be charged to you directly by the hotel. Mandatory fees are not optional and typically cover items such as resort fees, energy charges or safe fees." Nonethless, I still call this out as BS because this statement is not presented during the booking process.

As of this moment on 10 July 2025, the cost of a room at this hotel on Priceline is $35 less than what a comparable room costs if booked directly through the hotel's website - the difference being precisely the cost of the amenity fee. Thus, IMHO, it appears that Priceline is deceitful in that they present their price as less than what the hotel is asking for when, in fact, the actual cost of the room looks to be the same. As a hotel manager explained when I asked questions about their "mandatory" amenity fee, you are probably better off booking directly with hotels because hotels are transparent about all their fees, plus you might get points and other loyalty perks.

This review deserves a -5. We flew to FL for July 4th. Flights went well and picked up our car rental. Drove to the resort on the beach where we had reserved a gulf view room only to be told there was no reservation for us and the reservation confirmation number in our email did not exist with this resort. When we called Priceline there was over an hour wait time and the recording told us that they would call us back. All this time, we were sitting in the rental with a/c blasting due to the summer heat. We spent the whole day on the phone with priceline after landing in FL at 10 am. Even the resort said this is a very bad situation as we are sold out. Infact the whole area was sold out!! It was a holiday weekend and we even had trouble finding a hotel inland. I was starting to think we would be staying in our car rental! We FINALLY got a hotel 4 miles inland from our original resort hotel and checked in at 5pm!

Our whole day was wasted, not to mention the emotional impact of all of this. Moving forward we made the most of it and bought day passes for two days at the resort so we could at least experience it. Once back home, we reached out to Priceline as we wanted to know the difference in price going from a beach resort with a gulf view to just a regular Hampton Inn. Of course, Priceline would not tell us that and told us that we were not eligible to receive any kind of reimbursement as we had accepted the option to relocate hotels LOL!!! What was our option??? Sleeping in the car rental or buying a tent and pitching it on the beach!!?? This was a total nightmare and our suggestion is to never book through Priceline!!

I’m a Platinum VIP customer with Priceline. Every year, I book 30+ room nights, 8+ return flights, and over 10 rental cars – totaling $30,000+ in spend. You’d think that would earn some respect or reliable service. Instead, I’ve experienced the worst customer service and outright billing scams that rival shady internet fraud.

Most recently, I booked a package deal to Vancouver, BC through Priceline - 3 hotel nights + -rental car., and prepaid $878 USD. What followed was a nightmare: The rental car company said they were never paid by Priceline. I was forced to pay $380 CAD out of pocket, which Priceline claimed they’d refund. They didn’t. At Blackcomb Springs Suites, the hotel told me they were never paid by Priceline either and refused to let me check in. I had no choice but to pay $467 CAD directly to the hotel.

Only one night at the Delta Kamloops honored the Priceline booking – but that room only costs ~$220 CAD including tax, not the $878 USD Priceline charged me. So for almost $900 USD, all I got was a single night worth around $160 USD. It's now been over a month (since May 30th) and I’m still being bounced between robotic support agents and useless “supervisors” who give me the same tired lines: “We didn’t charge you.” “We’re working on it.” “We’ll contact the hotel and car rental.” “Please give us more time.”

I call twice a week minimum, waste hours each time, and nothing gets resolved. No accountability. No urgency. No refund. This isn’t the first time either — I’ve seen frequent overcharges, shady USD-CAD exchange rate tricks, and huge price differences between what Priceline offers and what the hotel or rental company charges directly. It’s become clear that Priceline is price-gouging and exploiting customers, even loyal VIPs.

Warning to Other Travelers: Do NOT share your credit card with these scammers. You’re better off booking directly or using a platform that respects you and resolves issues when they arise. Priceline used to be reliable. Now it feels like a bait-and-switch racket. Platinum VIP means absolutely nothing to them. Stay far away. You've been warned.

I filed a complaint with Booking.com regarding the poor condition of the hotel room. They then emailed the hotel on my behalf to request a refund, but the hotel did not respond to their inquiry. One representative from Booking.com informed me that there was nothing they could do since the refund would need to come directly from the hotel. When I called back, another representative offered me only $27 of the $135 I paid for the room, which I find incredibly insulting. Hawthorn suites Wichita KS.

I am really disappointed with my booking and had a horrible experience. The room had nasty stains on the bed mattress and on the sofa, along with burn holes from cigarettes. There were patched leaks in the bathroom shower ceiling and in the living area ceiling. It rained, and there were bugs that bit me all night. The air conditioner didn't work, making it uncomfortably hot I spent most of the night in my SUV due to the unbearable smell in the room. I used Priceline for a last minute hotel in Lakeland FL. I arrived at the hotel that was clearly low income housing rather than a hotel. Walked in to over hear the worker telling a guy she would write off more than $60 of his hotel for the week because he did not have it. When it was my turn they told me Priceline over booked the hotel and I did not have a room. When I asked for a refund she told me Priceline would have to refund me. She said she could help me out for an additional 7$ and put me in a different room. I said okay because it was late. I was given a key and when I got to the room I could not get in. Went back to the front desk and she said the door was probably out of batteries. She made me a key to another room. That door opened but looked as though someone with dirty feet had walked all over or jumped on the white comforter. She asked me if someone had been in the room and told her I could not answer that.

I told her at this point I wanted a refund and again she referred me to Priceline. I then had to find another hotel. I did and wow. World of difference. This stay was June 21 and multiple calls and being told they could not get a hold of the hotel but they would get me taken care of.. I finally called the hotel when I had still not heard from Priceline by the morning of the 30th. The hotel said how they did not like working with Priceline and had already authorized a refund. I called Priceline and was told they needed to call the hotel. I said that I thought this whole time they were supposed to be doing this. Minutes later she came in and told me I was in luck and I was being refunded. In principle I spent hours on this. Far beyond the money I paid for the room. I will NEVER use Priceline in any manner to book anything. Stay away from this company.

Priceline is partner to hotels so you're not actually dealing with the hotel, but Priceline without even knowing it. Priceline is horrific! Was charged for two reservations (two rooms) or one hotel night for ONE person. When it was immediately noticed the day after the booking, tried incessantly to contact the hotel, Priceline, to no avail. Countless hours spent trying to get our money for a second reservation and we have been denied as they cannot reach the authorized person at "their hotel partner." Also a reason stated was we had to cancel within a certain amount of time when it was unbeknownst to us a second reservation was somehow booked and we could not reach anyone at all until actual check in, not did we receive any confirmation for a second reservation; nor was a second room ever used. Horrible experience! I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone I know, do not use Priceline or the Hilton Garden Inn!

Priceline declines valid credit and debit cards when attempting to book travel online (e.g when using coupons and booking express deals). Priceline no longer accepts coupons and gives discount to individuals who have membership with certain clubs and organizations, even though it gives one the option of entering the club discount codes at the time of making a reservation. It blames the fault of the credit card declining on the credit card holder and/or issuer when it actually lies with Priceline itself. The company has a finicky payment processing system and will not do anything to resolve the issue. The customer service staff is not honest and is careless. Save yourself some time and hassles by booking through an online travel firm that will accept and process valid payment methods easily and with no hassles, even if the price is a little higher.

We called Priceline customer service that night and asked them to rebook another hotel in that same but the customer service guy said he need to transfer my call to another department for rebooking and it will take 3 hours waiting time. So we ourselves rebooked another hotel in the same area.

After our vacation when we were back home we found that the canceled hotel charged rent from our credit card. From then on we were calling Priceline customer service to refund our amount, but they put us on hold and say they wanted to talk to the hotel again for confirmation then they will say hotel did not respond, we will call hotel back again and call me back with the status. I don’t get any call or email from Priceline later. If I called them back again the same process same reply, this happened for 6 times now. Please don’t trust this company. Priceline has the most horrid customer service I have ever encountered. They allow a scam company, Carwiz, to rent cars on their site and will not refund you the money scammed from you. I flew to Dallas and expected to pick up my rental car from this “Carwiz” place at the airport, as my itinerary suggested. This place did not reside in the airport. I called the Carwiz number at 9 am and they said they were not open at that time. I tried multiple time and got the same results, so I used the “Penny” feature on the Priceline website to get instructions on picking up the car. I was told the rental place was at a certain address and I had to get an Uber to get there and would be reimbursed at the rental counter. I followed the directions and arrived at the address given and there was NO rental car agency there. I called Priceline to get help and they gave me a different number for the rental company, which went straight to “a full voicemail box.”

I ended up having the Uber driver take me to Enterprise and I rented a car from them so I wasn’t stranded in Dallas. The agent at the desk at Enterprise even said Carwiz was a scam business. I called Priceline that day to report the fact there was no rental car business at the address I was given and I wanted a refund of the price of the car. They said I had to wait 7-10 business days for Carwiz to get back with them as to what happened. That was on 4/27/25, the day I was to pick up the car. I have been through the “7-10 business days” runaround 4 times now and still no resolution. They don’t care about their customers AT ALL. They won’t refund my money until they get a reply from Carwiz, which will never happen. Absolute SCAM company allowing other SCAM companies operate through them.

We recently attended the funeral of a dear lifelong friend in Arkansas. We spoke to the online service that Marriott provided to make a reservation. The people we spoke to told us we had to hurry & make the reservation because they were close to being fully booked. We went to Arkansas & found the hotel. We arrived late and we noticed there were only several cars in hotel parking. When we checked in they charged us $167. We asked why the higher charge. They said they were not the scheduling party; it was an online company so they could refund the difference in price.

When we got to the room it looked dirty and had a bad odor. There were no other hotels in the area. We left for a service the evening we arrived, spent the night at the motel. When we went down to get breakfast the next morning and were told there was no free breakfast; breakfast would cost $27 but we could not afford that, so we left and got a breakfast sandwich at McDonald’s. We noticed there were only two people having coffee in the breakfast bar.

After the funeral we returned home, and we found out they double charged us $167 or $334. We have attempted to get a refund by submitting a complaint to the Marriott complaints line. Marriott refused. Several weeks later we began to have severe itching; we saw our Dermatologist who diagnosed SCABIES! Our doctor knows that we are clean people and told us that scabies are typically in dirty places, like nursing homes, dirty hotels, and on people who are unclean. He told us that scabies is delayed from exposure time and that our time of developing symptoms was indicative of being exposed at the time we stayed at the Marriott.

Over the last few months, we spent about $834 which was $334 for the double charge of the one-night stay plus the office visits and medicine. We are elderly and live on a very fixed income and we were able to afford the $79; like many elderly people there are times we must choose between medication or food. This is abuse of elderly people and the motel is a health hazard. We are extremely upset and have spoken to an attorney at Pre-Paid Legal. She sent a letter to the Marriott hotel and to Marriott Corporate Complaint department. We have not gotten their response to date. Today I called the Better Business Bureau, and they are sending us forms to submit a formal complaint. This reflects poor business practices. We believed that Marriott and Priceline were ethical companies. We have experienced significant financial problems since this event and have been unable to pay our bills in a timely manner.

This morning 6/12, I made a reservation with a wonderful agent. Aurelia entered the travelers names and credit card information using the link she sent to my email. I even went as far as giving Aurelia a tip for working so diligently with me every step of the way including the banking frustration. THIS IS WHERE THINGS TOOK A TURN: After the reservation was completed, I got an email with the travel details while still on the line with Aurelia. Who proceeded to mention there would be late charge assessed to my reservation to which I FIRMLY DENIED as this was new information to me and MOST IMPORTANTLY- THE travel reservation she placed on hold until the was on hold from10:30pm on 6/11 which generated an error message at 10:30, 12:30a, 3:30 am and 6:30 am until I called the bank at 6:40 to discover that the transaction was flagged as fraud.

FACTS: 1. Aurelia sent me multiple travel options between 6p and 10:30p. 2. I selected a reservation I liked around 10:30p and asked her to hold the reservation for me until the banking issue was sorted because the transaction to secure the reservation had an error message every time I entered the card information. 3. Banking issues were resolved around 6:40 am, during which I from my bank that a hold was placed on my account for the attempted transaction flagged as fraud until I verified and confirmed it was me, the transaction amount & merchant. 4. Aurelia mentioned that the pending booking needed to go through two teams in order to generate an eticket- the ticketing team and the verification team which ideally would be anywhere from 15mins to a couple hours.

    5. 2 &1/2 hours later I spoke to another agent from the customer support team who confirmed the booking order and assisted me in selecting seats for the outbound flight. I was assured the same thing. Someone will call me between 10 mins to a couple hours. 6. I get a call from a male agent who then tells me there was a change with my original reservation regarding checked bags- THIS IS WHERE I LOST MY COOL. I ended that conversation by firmly telling him the original reservation with my credit card information on file is what I reserved with Aurelia which included 2 checked bags generating a confirmation - both outbound and inbound. 7. TO SAY THE LEAST I WAS HEATED AND BEGAN TO THINK MAYBE THE BANK WAS RIGHT AND THIS WAS FRAUDULENT.

    8. I called again and spoke to another agent- who was willing to assist but his supervisor denied him taking over the case which was assigned to said agent who was "There is a change' dude. 9. As I write this I am still waiting for a call to inform me that the booking confirmation has been processed and an eticket will be generated and sent to my email. 10. WE ARE 5 &1/2 hours into this ordeal with zero resolution and I must travel with what I selected and provided my payment information. If anyone in the cooperate office is reading this in real time. I have attached the confirmation email I got.

Fair warning: If you ever call customer service, their hold music will shriek the loudest, high-pitched whistle in your ear loud enough to make it ring and you'll have to listen to it for 10+ minutes until someone picks up. The first several times, they couldn't hear me. When I finally got a hold of someone that could, I couldn't understand them. They didn't speak English and not only that, but they wouldn't help me with my issue, no matter what. They refused to make it right.

Even though I called the hotel and he said he was willing to refund me the entire amount (but I had to go through priceline) they refused to make it right and I couldn't even understand what she said to know why. This isn't the first issue I've had with them. Last night we arrived at the Denver airport and went outside to the rental shuttle area to go get our vehicle ( trip number **). It was just after 10 pm, after waiting over an hour we did some research and the car rental place and shuttle close at 10 pm which is when I had the pick up time for the car. So after being outside for over an hour we had to find another rental vehicle, nowhere in the email did it mention that this rental place closed at 10 pm, how am I supposed to pick it up at 10 when they close at 10. I want a refund on the car rental, this has been a really bad experience, I hope you make it a little better so I am anyone I know would ever use your company Again. Priceline never provided me the support and kept me on hold stating that they were waiting for an email response and I had to wait till they receive the response. Also I never got the refund back when requested when I never stayed at the hotel and was never given the requested support. Totally ruined my trip. On contacting the support team again they said because the hotel is not paying them the amount back they won’t be issuing the refund and hung up the call.

I am very disappointed in Priceline. They have a procedure to try to change a flight online. They give you a list of new possible flights. The problem is that when you try to book any of them, they all come up with a message that the flight was just sold out. I also got back on several hours later and the same thing happened - they still had all of the same flights being listed as available, but when you tried to book them, they came up as having just been sold out. You cannot tell that until you spend time rebooking, etc. Would rather know upfront that no additional flights. They must not be updating. Huge waste of a customer's time.

We booked hotels through Priceline for a family trip to Switzerland (Zermatt, Grindelwald, and Zurich), choosing family suite rooms for two adults and two children. The confirmation from Priceline clearly showed the correct guest details — but to our surprise, all three hotels only received booking information for two adults. Turns out, Priceline uses Booking.com as a middleman, and somewhere along the way, key information was lost or never passed on. As a result, the hotels said they were only paid for two adults and forced us to pay $70–$90 extra per child per night, out of pocket. That’s hundreds of dollars in unexpected charges.

When we contacted Priceline customer service, they insisted the booking was made for four people, but admitted we were only charged for two. So…who is pocketing the difference? This feels like a scam. We trusted Priceline to handle our bookings professionally, but instead we were left feeling misled, overcharged, and ignored. Never again.

Title: Agent Booking Error – No Real Resolution

Review: I contacted Priceline to book a hotel near George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) with shuttle service and breakfast included. Unfortunately, the agent booked a hotel (La Quinta Inn & Suites in the Energy Corridor) that was completely out of the way. I noticed the mistake while still on the phone and immediately told the agent. He acknowledged the error and said he would transfer me to fix it — but that never happened.

I later managed to book a hotel with the correct specifications, but Priceline has refused to refund the original mistaken reservation, despite the fact that their agent admitted fault during the call. I filed a complaint through the BBB, but Priceline simply repeated their stance and showed no accountability. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I acted in good faith and immediately tried to resolve the issue, yet I was left with no support and an unnecessary charge. I expected better customer service from a company like Priceline.

This was my first time using Priceline. I booked a hotel for three days in June. I bought the tickets on April 17th. When I booked the hotel, it said I had until May 30th to cancel. So I got to try and cancel it today, and I went through their automated system and canceled it, but I only got 8$ and some change back. So I called to find out what was happening, and I talked to a lady who wasn't very helpful. She said, "Well, you should have called first. There is nothing I can do now." Why have an automated canceling system if it is better to contact an agent? What is the point of having a 1-day policy? I AM NEVER BOOKING WITH THEM AGAIN.

Never deal with Priceline. I tried to cancel a hotel reservation less than 24 hours after it was made and they refused to credit me. Book your reservations with the hotel or airline directly. Priceline will never cancel your reservations and give you your money back.

Worst experience ever. I will never be booking with Priceline again. The agent that booked my motel, called ahead and promised the pool and hot tub were working. We drove 400 miles to get to Denver to find out that the hot tub and pool has been down for over a week. The agent told us that he confirmed with the motel manager it was working.

I am absolutely pissed. We needed leaving motel and getting an Airbnb. The motel manager was sorry for us but wouldn’t give a refund. I escalated it with Priceline and they are going to reaching within 48hr with resolution, the worst part about this is they tried to give me a 20 percent discount and told me that we could travel to a sister motel and use the pool and hot tub. No thanks, that’s complete nonsense and unacceptable. Super disappointed in the way me and my family were treated.

I rented a car from Priceline and paid for collision damage coverage, but never picked up the car. They still charged me for the car insurance and will not refund my money. Jun (the claim person) said their policy is that they cannot refund my money after three days. DO NOT buy their collision damage, IT IS A RIP OFF!!

Don't even think about make a reservation with this thiefs. I been dealing with as many Customer Services and managers to fix an issue with a reservation since Jan 2025 and still they are making excuses, already sent proof of everything many times and still nothing. John "Manager" is the worse. He does not supposed to be working with people at all. Don't waste your money here. You will regret it for sure.

I booked a hotel for a family member in which I allowed Priceline to pick the hotel. The hotel that was chosen is in a very unsafe area. The hotel and the area is known for drug activity, prostitution, criminal activity, and homelessness. Priceline denied my request for a refund. Priceline needs to do better when it comes to rating the hotels. This hotel should be rated a 1 if that. I would not let my dog stay there.

I made a hotel reservation on priceline.com and the Priceline listing clearly stated Free breakfast. However after I completed the reservation, I suddenly received a conformation email from Agoda (not from Priceline) and Agoda has completely different listing and conditions for the same property on their website. To make it worse, the reservation is not refundable, even though I made a booking under different listing. Now the property in Rome charges me extra for a breakfast (and its pretty costly), stating Agoda made a reservation for room only. When I try to talk to Agoda customer service, they send me to talk to Priceline and Priceline refuses to talk to me saying the reservation is handled by Agoda. So I kinda run in circles. I am going to pay the extra cost and move on, but needless to say will never ever will deal with neither Agoda nor Priceline.

First off, when I put my package together, the rental car Priceline gave me was 26 miles from Miami airport and I had to cancel it. The company I got after that was NU rental. This location was off-site and the build was dingy and they told me the rental insurance I paid for through Priceline was not legally enough and charged me more. They told me I needed toll passes and charged me for that. Then day two of my trip, my rental car died in the resort parking lot! The rental company asked me if I got a jump from someone!!! I did the next day and it died again!!! I was without a car for 20 hours. They finally brought me a replacement. The pictures of some of the hotels are not reality, we stayed by the Miami airport in a LaQuinta and it was scary!!! My flight home on American Airlines was horrible as well. They moved us to 4 different gates, with the last move being 44 gates away!!! Do not use Priceline.

I booked The Shores Hotel, Coastal Deerfield Beach in Boca Raton, FL on April 27th, 2025 for one night. The Priceline email never sent me the instructions to enter the room (code needed) since this is an unattended boutique hotel. I got in touch with the hotel owner via Airbnb since they list there and they said they don't do anything with priceline and didn't have my reservation. They said priceline was scamming me. I never got to get in the room and was stranded for hours. Priceline put me on hold for 45 minutes then two hours later called me back and said they weren't going to refund me. I told them I'm taking them to court so that's what I'm doing. Recommend staying away from this scam company. ZERO customer service. Hope it's worth it, see ya in court!

Priceline continues to work auto rental agencies that they know are scams and bait and switch operations, especially in Florida. Shameful. I will not use them again. When they are aware of scams they should no longer list them. Or even if they have poor reviews.

The car rental is not at the airport this is deceptive and misleading. Take your half hour to wait for the shuttle another half hour to get there and then you have to wait in line for another half hour so it'll take you about an hour and a half to get your car. I was told I can't change my car rental reservation to one at the airport. I'm a VIP Priceline customer apparently that doesn't mean too much. This is the last time I'm using Priceline to book a trip.

Okay so we had a problem with booking into our room and when we got to the hotel so they wouldn't let us book in and then we call Priceline to get our money back. So Priceline puts us through to Booking.com. Then booking.com sends us an email saying that we had to get our money back from the hotel. We have not received our money back. Sorry apology nothing. Very shady. Very very shady and would not recommend pricing or looking for them ever.
