They advertised a certain rate which I proceeded to purchase. Then they charged an extra $200 due to special country fees and now they're saying the charged amount is correct. This will be the first and last time that I use Priceline.

I called and felt like I was answered the phone by someone that was in the dorm room. All you heard was screaming in the background and couldn't hear a word this girl was saying. I don't know where these customer service agents are working but they can't be working at a desk. They got to be working from home with a bunch of distractions. Just terrible customer service and never seen anything like it. Moved on and booked the room and 5 minutes would Expedia, just ridiculous

I went online to Priceline.com to find a motel room for a few days for work. Looking for something to hold me over till payday. I'm starting a new job. Found a motel on Priceline and made my reservation. I got to the motel and they told me that they don't use Priceline. I found the motel on PriceLine, they took my money, and the motel refused to give me a room that cheap. So I contacted Priceline to get my money back. They did not give my money back. So now for the next few days I have to sleep in my vehicle. I was on the phone with Priceline over 2 hours trying to get my money back. So tomorrow I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau to see if they can help me get a refund. I will never use them again. I normally use booking.com, and I have never had a problem with them.

I accidently booked a last-minute motel room. While looking for rooms they reset your search dates every time you start looking for a room. So I booked the room and it was after the cancelation window. I called the motel first and they said it was all up to Priceline, and I had called the motel before I called priceline. So, they lied and blamed the motel. I called the motel back and thy confirmed priceline didn't call them.

I HAD TO GIVE THEM A ONE STAR JUST TO EVEN POST THIS REVIEW...HOW SAD IT THAT!!!! Priceline SUCKS!!!! You have a 1.1 review out of 8000 reviews! You seriously are the worst business, you are up there with Booking.com!! Equally SUCKS!!! Please fellow shoppers do not be taken in by whatever Priceline has to offer. You cannot even talk to a live person to help with your questions. We travel all over the world and have never had a problem like this. I encourage you to book directly through the Hotel, even if you have to pay a small amount more....It will be totally worth it. Look up their REVIEWS if you don't believe me.

Don’t use Priceline. I booked round flight ticket also paid extra $86 for upgrade to premium economy class for round trip. So, upgrade was applied only for one way of my ticket, but on the way back I got charged for carry on luggage by airline, because my ticket was booked by Priceline as basic economy class. Priceline itinerary was showing premium economy class of my flight tickets both ways. Never got any apologies or refund.

Airline ticket prices are always double what Priceline charges and then what the airline charges. It's better to buy them directly from the airline, that way you'll know exactly how much you have to pay. Hotels are always a complete disaster, for which no one takes responsibility. Again, it's better to make the reservation directly with the hotel and you'll know what to expect in terms of prices and quality. In short, the reservation you make through Priceline will always be double but the quality will be worse.

But unfortunately, when I went there, it was so bad. The hotel they booked for me. The service was so bad. I get out and book another hotel by myself. Pay my own money for the hotel. When I came back, I just wanted to refund a differences. My money not refunded but no customer service 0 and I will not get back to Priceline to my vacation or my trip. No, way, no way, they are not good customer service, they hang phone off on me, and it's not. They cannot talk with the customer service. Negative. For me, they are scam! Disgusted with Priceline right now because they are not standing by their customer - ME! Last night we booked through them at Super 8 by Wyndham on 1033 Airport Rd, Allentown, PA. It turned out to be a roach hotel & we had to flee! Management was not surprised about roaches & refuses refund. We went to Priceline for help and they said they won’t do anything without hotel’s approval so we’re out the money & never stayed! They didn’t care-just lip service of “we’re sorry to hear that, but we can’t refund without the hotel's approval."
They’re advertising this hotel on their website & taking NO RESPONSIBILITY or care for their customers which is ME! I trusted Priceline somehow vets these disgusting places & have gotten complaints before. I feel ripped off and disregarded by Priceline who actively advertises this roach motel. Do not book with Priceline! They wouldn’t even give me a credit towards another stay! They didn’t give a damn…just nice lip service of “sorry to hear that,” “I understand,” followed by "there’s NOTHING WE WILL DO FOR YOU!"

I recently booked a hotel through PriceLine. The hotel was very nice, but after checking out and receiving my bill, I noticed an unexpected fee had been charged. I spoke to the Priceline customer support, and they asked me to call the hotel. The hotel informed me that the extra cost was for parking. When I called PriceLine customer support, they said yes, that was a parking fee. Bottom line, PriceLine did not fully disclose on their website that I would be charged for parking at the hotel. The amenities list mentioned "On-site parking". And further down on the page, there is a sentence that says, "Private parking is available. It costs USD 3.87 per day." Private parking? What the heck. Perhaps this was my fault due to my own misunderstanding, but really? Give me a break.

We immediately checked out and found another hotel in the area. We sent Priceline the photos that we took in an email and called them directly to get a refund from the Hotel that we couldn’t stay in. Big discrepancies - for example- Priceline said there was a pool. We get Country Inn Suites and the pool has been closed since June due to public health and safety concerns!! Beware Priceline does not work with you if there are issues with the hotels- actually I was reimbursed 20%- ridiculous. This is FALSE advertisement!! READ the other reviews- we are all saying the same thing. I wish I saw the reviews first- you are better off calling the hotels directly and asking about amenities!

I booked a room through PRICELINE on September 30th of 2025… This room was with an establishment by the name of Super 8 aka Motel 6 aka Wyndham Radisson.. so confused. It was very late, around 10:00 pm. I was moving into the city of San Jose Ca... Anyhow fast forward to the morning and daylight revealed just how disgusting and disgraceful these rooms were floors were filthy, counter tops weren’t even wiped down. The vents had SEVERE MOLD GROWING... ugh! 😩 Why would you advertise this disgusting place on your website, Priceline?….
I immediately grabbed my belongings and left the room, even though check-out wasn’t until 11:00, I was gone by 7:30 am. I was told I would need to file a complaint and request a refund through Priceline, and did so! We just went back and forth multiple different calls, multiple different representatives, multiple different days, and got absolutely NO COMPENSATION! No REFUND! I am going to recommend that you NEVER USE THIS SITE KNOWN AS “PRICELINE” ever! They are literally useless and have no regard for their unprofessionalism. I told them I had proof, such as videos and pictures, not one of them asked me for them... lesson learned, I won’t ever recommend this site NOR WILL I EVER BE USING IT EVER AGAIN.

I made a mistake of reserving through Priceline. The reservation was charged before the reservation date. I didn’t realize that it said that if I canceled it, they were only going to issue $83 dollars back instead of $523.00. I called back the company, spoke to a representative which I told him to either give me back the reservation or refund me the money. Since I canceled it two minutes after I had charged it. The whole time they kept promising me the refund that they had to go through a third company to give me the refund. It was never done. To this day I’m still getting charged for the $523.00.
Can’t manage to get Bank Of America to straighten out this manner with them. Never let one of these companies charge you before you go on the trip. All they wanna do is keep your money and not give you the service. I had already make another booking with Priceline that same day and time, but I was going to give the reservation to my daughter rather than to pay for something that I never received any service for. This company is out to rip people off. The hotel policy was that you can cancel up to the day before the booking. They wanna keep people’s money no matter what. Please be careful what you do with this company, because afterwards they don’t want to help you if you make a mistake. It hurts me very much and I’ve been very upset with this situation.

Terrible experience with Priceline. I booked a hotel through Priceline, confirmation number was **.. I paid in full with my credit card, and there was no mention of any extra deposit required at booking confirmation page. But when I arrived at the hotel, they asked for an extra $150 deposit, which I couldn’t pay because Priceline had already charged me the full amount.
As a result, the hotel refused to check me in. Since I had used all my card balance for the reservation and couldn’t make another booking, I was left outside at night with nowhere to stay, and Priceline’s customer service did absolutely nothing to help. I even told them that if they refunded me immediately, I could book another hotel right away — but they said I would have to wait several days for the refund to process.

A customer service representative made a mistake and claimed my flight arrived at Atlanta airport around seven to take a flight back home at 10 a.m. Getting ready to get on the plane, I scanned my phone, and a red light went out. I found out that my flight was canceled by Priceline's customer service. I was asked to call and talk to a representative, but when I did, they said I had canceled my flight, so I asked them to clarify. Why will I cancel my flight then get up and go to the airport so I have to book another flight? I was at Atlanta airport from seven in the morning till 530 that evening trying to catch a flight back home.
Call them and ask them to refund my money but they say I cancel that flight. I purchased a full travel package through the United Airlines website, which redirected me to Priceline (I did not know about it). The package was for 2 travelers, including one way-trip flights and hotel accommodation in Berlin for summer 2025. Everything seemed fine until I checked out of the hotel. To my shock, the hotel informed me that the reservation was made for only one adult, and I was forced to pay €199 extra. This included 4 breakfasts, city taxes, and additional occupancy fees—even though we only ate breakfast 3 times. I had no choice but to pay on the spot.
I immediately contacted Priceline to resolve this. Their response was dismissive and inaccurate. They claimed the extra charge was due to a 16-year-old child not being included in the booking. However, my daughter is not 16 yet, and I clearly booked for 2 travelers (as is stated in the payment evidence that I have submitted). I submitted a follow-up claim, but never heard back.
This experience has left me feeling scammed and ignored. Priceline failed to honor the booking details, misrepresented the occupancy, and refused to take responsibility. I trusted them and United Airlines with my travel plans and ended up paying significantly more than expected. I do not recommend Priceline. Their customer service is unresponsive, and their booking practices are misleading. Travelers beware!

I recently rented a car through Priceline with Easi Car Rental, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. The customer service at Easi Car Rental was extremely poor, and I was charged unfairly for going out of the state of Nevada. The policy stated a $25 per day fee, yet I was charged for six full days, even though I only went out of state once.
Additionally, they attempted to charge me for insurance I did not request, and the car itself was in poor condition — it vibrated excessively in the front, making driving uncomfortable and concerning for safety. I’ve booked car rentals through other companies using Priceline before and have never had issues like this. I’m very disappointed that Priceline continues to list a company that provides such poor service and questionable business practices. I hope Priceline reviews their partnership with Easi Car Rental to prevent other customers from going through the same experience.

They literally charged me $75 more than their website said and they would not only NOT give me an explanation but they refused to refund me the difference. As long as they treat people this way, I WILL NEVER AGAIN DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I attempted to make refundable round-trip reservations for two from Charleston, SC to Redmond, Oregon on Priceline's website, but the site kept changing one of our flights at checkout. I tried 3 times with the same result before calling Priceline and talking to an agent. The agent said he could make the reservation for me and I repeated several times that I wanted an upgrade to be able to choose our seats, and to get refundable tickets, and he assured me he would do that. I added a rental car to the reservation for a total of $1,787.48. I was subsequently diagnosed with a heart condition that required a change of plans. When I called Priceline to get a refund I was told my tickets were nonrefundable. I spoke with a supervisor, Jessa, who apologized, but didn't admit they had made a mistake, and wouldn't issue a refund for the flights.
Priceline gave me a partial travel credit of $1,044 to be used within a year that requires the same two passengers and the same airline. Initially, she told me it had to be to and from the same cities, but changed that under my pressure to any round-trip destination in the U.S., but I have to use Priceline and the original airline to get the flight credit. Am I supposed to be grateful for that? How about honoring your promise to issue refundable tickets?
She said I had to forfeit the $199 for the seats, though, even though I was never told there was a charge. I assume, since they are already paid for, that those seats will never be resold on those flights with 4 assigned seats in both directions. None of the charges were detailed by the agent or on the confirmation email when I made the reservation, or the email I got for the flight credit. I did get a refund of $385.60 for the rental car, but that wasn't due to Priceline policy, but rather to that of Avis.
I guess that means I only lost $1,401.88 so far by using Priceline after their website didn't work and their incompetent agent refused to follow my directions. Hopefully I'll be able to fly within a year to take advantage of that generous credit the deigned to give me for their mistake/s. Communication was difficult because everyone I spoke with at Priceline barely spoke English. I suppose Priceline saves a lot of money by shipping their call center overseas, however, so there's that.

I booked a flight + hotel package with Priceline that looked like a great deal at first. Unfortunately, it turned into a very costly trap:
The hotel canceled my reservation without my consent.
Priceline only refunded the hotel portion and tried to “compensate” me with a worthless 15% coupon for Express Deals.
Those “deals” are overpriced, and all other hotels in the same area now cost much more. The refund I received doesn’t come close to covering a similar hotel.
Meanwhile, the flights remain active – but now they are extremely expensive, because the original package price no longer applies. Ironically, I could have booked the flights much cheaper on their own if I hadn’t chosen the package. Priceline simply blames the hotel and refuses to take any real responsibility or provide a proper solution.
The result: We now have to pay much more out of pocket to get a comparable hotel, and we’re stuck with overpriced flights.
👉 My warning to others: Don’t be fooled by Priceline’s package deals! If one part of your trip falls through, you’ll be left stranded with overpriced leftovers. Other reputable providers step in and help – Priceline just shrugs and offers a useless coupon.
Conclusion: Extremely poor business practices. Save yourself the money and stress – book with a company that actually supports you when things go wrong.

What a scam this company is. I tried to book a $1100 ticket and the transaction did not go through. To my surprise I later saw my statement and the airline had charged me. I did not receive confirmation from Priceline about the ticket so the airline marked me as a no show. I then called Priceline to refund the ticket, their representative confirmed that due to a glitch in their system the ticket went through on the airline's side but not on Priceline's side and we would be refunded the ticket. I recorded the conversation and they even called me and left me a voicemail at a later time telling me about the refund I will be receiving.
To this date (2 weeks after+) I received no refund and I keep calling them and they say they can't find my case or any info on this. My next step is going through the legal system so my lawyer will be sending them an official letter. If they think it is worth it for them to go to court for $1100 I am willing to pay more in lawyer fees than what the ticket was worth.

I had the most worst experience trying to cancel a flight wirh Priceline in my entire life of travels. They sell you the moon and the stars when you're booking your trip. And the minute you attempt to utilize a service that they encourage to purchase, like trip protection insurance, you're denied at every angle. They have every deterrent in the book to reimburse you for emergencies or offer any form of credit.
I purchased a non-refundable flight by choice and decided to purchase trip protection just secure myself since this was a spontaneous trip. But unfortunately, the person I was going to visit tested positive for Covid and I didn't have any other lodge plans. They have these specific options to select and I believe it's by design so they can decline any claim submitted for reimbursement. So now not only am I out of $600 for the flight, I wasted an additional $38 for the insurance protection. I think this is such a rip off!

When they didn't respond I tried going directly to the motel to ask them to change the date. Two days later when the motel replied the person said they wanted $50 to change it. This felt scammy. I had paid Priceline with a debit card and it went through. I immediately tried to straighten this out with the bank, who tried to reverse the charge, to no avail. They sent me a complaint form to fill out with a due date that expired while I was in Canada for two months. Again my bank tried to get a reprieve but they said no. You're better off booking directly to the motel/hotel if you can find them online--algorithms make it difficult. This no refund policy, for any reason, is not user friendly.

My experience with Priceline.com and Agoda.com was profoundly disappointing and financially damaging. I booked an upgraded family room on September 7th, 2025, in Rome, Italy, through Priceline.com, paying an extra $106 above the standard room rate for enhanced accommodations. Unbeknownst to me, Priceline outsourced the reservation to their sister company, Agoda.com, which incorrectly booked a standard room instead of the family room I paid for. Upon discovering this error, I contacted Agoda, only to be told it was Priceline’s responsibility and to deal with them directly.
I promptly informed Priceline of the mistake, which they confirmed through their internal booking system and direct communication with the hotel. I requested either a correction to the family room or a full refund of the $106 upgrade fee. However, after two weeks of frustrating deliberations with Priceline’s “escalation team,” I was offered a paltry 20% refund—less than half of what I paid for the upgrade. To date, even this inadequate refund has not been processed, despite my hotel stay having occurred, during which I was assigned the cheaper standard room.
This ordeal reflects a severe lack of accountability and coordination between Priceline and Agoda, leaving customers to bear the cost of their errors. The failure to deliver the promised service, coupled with an unfulfilled refund promise, is unacceptable. I strongly caution against using Priceline or Agoda for travel bookings, as their mishandling of issues prioritizes corporate convenience over customer fairness and satisfaction.

TRAVELERS & BOOKING BEWARE! PRICELINE WILL SCAM YOU!! I'm sure my 7000th bad 1 star review won't make a difference but I feel like I need to vent my frustration with this company & the Hotel Indigo in Panama City, FL. Hotel Indigo had wonderful accommodations but when I called the hotel directly off of their Google Website number Hotel Indigo Marina, Panama City answered the call by their hotel name. Spoke to a nice southern gentleman and we talked about their local weather, etc and booked the hotel for 3 nights.
I did understand that if I checked out one day early there would be a penalty of a one night room stay. I had a family death in the family and had to leave unexpectedly a day early for the funeral that was Labor Day weekend that was totally unexpected. I went to the front desk and spoke to Brock and was told that I didn't book my reservation with their hotel directly but with PRICELINE! I looked up on my phone and saw it was a 850 area code number that I had dialed and was told their last four numbers were different and that sometimes that Priceline and other hotel booking companies will answer by the name they are trying to book with the customer. I was never told I was booking thru PRICELINE and the confirmation text & email for check in and out times information had Hotel Indigo listed.
I called PRICELINE customer service and told them my situation and I did understand I verbally agreed to the penalty but I thought I would at least try since it was a family emergency. I spoke to three different people in customer service at PRICELINE which had a very strong accent and was an 888 number and was told I could receive either a voucher to stay another time or receive a refund but it would take 2-10 days to receive. I said I appreciate their understanding and was told if I contacted Hotel Indigo and let them know I was checking out one day early and they agreed the refund by PRICELINE would be accepted once it was escalated to their management team but needed the front desk name I spoke to, which was Brock, that they would handle it from their end.
They never called me back as promised with a confirmation text or email as they agreed to over the phone. I had to check out so I continued to call to see if my refund was still accepted by the escalation department as I still did not receive a confirmation of early cancellation per text or email and each time I called they said yes it was accepted by their escalation team.
When I checked out on the Sept 1, 2025, I was texted on Sept. 3, 2025 and was told my refund would NOT be possible as I checked out a day early and my fee was higher than quoted in the text that was quoted at the time of my booking over the phone! The hotel nightly fee was even cheaper than PRICELINE charged me when I spoke to Brock and said they paid them $176.00 a night. I was charged $250.00 a night by PRICELINE! MY COMPLAINT is I should have been told I was dealing with PRICELINE and the HOTEL INDIGO should have been more concerned with who represents their hotel with their reservation bookings. PRICELINE has notes of each time I called and I shouldn't have been told a refund was possible when escalation time didn't evidently give the permission for a refund as I was told by their customer service three different times I called. WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN!! Just threw $250 away!!

I got my $1000 back but this is just a bunch of scammers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I was lucky that I fight with for my money back. I would recommend that anyone buying anything over Priceline think twice. Although their web page says, "Book a car with free cancellation for flexibility" in reality they do not allow cancellations or schedule changes. I rented a car for a trip I was planning 3 months in advance. Priceline took my $700. But 2 weeks before the trip I had an event which caused me to not be able to make the trip. Priceline would not refund any portion of my payment nor allow me to reschedule the rental for a later date. They claim that "Express Deal rental cars are non-refundable..." But nowhere during the setup for the rental did they indicate that I could make no changes.

Updated on 11/08/2025: When I contacted the OtoQ Car Rental customer service number a week before my deposit was to be returned to make sure they didn't forget, I was only able to speak to a "chat" representative. Through the "chat", I was reminded I would not receive my deposit for 30 days from my car drop-off date, and was told that would be on October 2nd. On October 2nd, I did not receive my refund so I contacted the "chat" again. I was then told it is automated and give them 48 hours to figure out why it was not returned. Angry, I told them "No, return my money, as you are now in violation of your own contract."
On October 6th morning, I contacted the "chat" again and was told they needed more time to figure it out. I stated that if my money was not returned by the end of the business day today, I would contact my attorney, file a police report for theft, and contact the Florida Attorney General's Office to report a "SCAM". My refund was returned to my credit card later that same day. A week later, I began receiving FRAUDALENT "fraud alerts" texts to that same credit card and had to shut my card down (Connected? I'm not sure but it seems very suspect). This is an experience I should not have had for a pre-paid package and I am disappointed that Priceline did NOT do a better job of vetting this company before adding them to the list of recommended car rental places. Its reviews are TERRIBLE and should NEVER have been an option. Shame on you, Priceline.
Original: Booked a package trip w/ flight, hotel, and rental car to Miami. Flight w/ American Airlines was fine, but had 3 surprises: Hotel was okay except 2 days before trip, got letter from hotel with 1st surprise: A $22/night resort fee and $45 parking fee, both which had additional taxes/night. Package should have mentioned out of pocket fees and should have included them in the package! 2nd surprise: Rental car invoice stated it was at Miami airport, but instead was at a crappy off-site location. (Resembling a junk car lot in a rundown neighborhood. Although the car we got was decent.) 3rd surprise: Car rental agents charged us $493.36 for deposit & insurance even though I used my own insurance). Again, this was a pre-paid Priceline package for flight, hotel, and car!!!!
Furthermore, the car rental place operates under several business names, was supposed to have a shuttle that picks up and drops off. On arrival, we waited, called, never saw and got a shuttle to rental location. We ended up getting and paying a cab to take us. Only got a ride from rental location back to airport on our departure and only because another couple was dropped off, which by the way, the Shuttle driver immediately left without waiting or checking. He had to be called back to rental center to pick up passengers returning to airport. Not a good experience!

Priceline is the worst. They will let you pay through your virtual card, but at the reception when you go to pick up the car, the rental company will cancel your booking, give you a 100% refund (except for the insurance you bought through Priceline), and let you book another one on the spot. Now, this may seem okay and normal, but booking through the rental company directly on the spot is expensive. So, this negligence from Priceline will cost you so much; you'll need to pay much more... And then when you go to them for a refund of your insurance (the rest is refunded by the rental company only on the spot), they'll tell you 72 hours have passed. It's sadly one of their policies that is mostly hidden, and now they cannot return your insurance money. So, I lost my $30 because of them.

We booked a full package deal through Priceline (car, hotel, flights). While our flights and hotel dates were correct, Priceline gave us the lowest-tier rental car company (NU) and completely messed up the dates. Our flight landed July 13, but Priceline booked the rental car for July 14, one day after we arrived — and then had the return scheduled for the day after we left Hawaii. This meant we paid for a car on a day we weren’t even in the state. When we called, their agents were rude, dismissive, and constantly cut us off. Even after pointing out this was their mistake (our flights and hotel matched the correct dates we entered), they refused to fix it. Their response? “This is very rare this happens.” Rare or not, it happened to us — and they left us stranded.
We asked for a refund or even reimbursement for the $100 in Uber rides we were forced to take. They said no. We asked for a manager. No help. On top of that, our hotel was dirty and had a rude valet. The hotel itself refunded Priceline directly (we confirmed this with the hotel weeks later). Priceline kept the money and never passed it back to us. After a month of waiting, when we called Priceline again, they had the audacity to say, “That’s why we didn’t refund your account — you didn’t call us and request it.” Unbelievable. The hotel did their part, but Priceline tried to keep the refund, essentially attempting to steal our money.
This company is completely dishonest. They do not care about their customers. They refuse to take responsibility for mistakes, they keep refunds owed to you, and their agents treat you with zero respect. We will never use Priceline again. Save yourself the stress and money — book directly with airlines, hotels, and rental car companies. Priceline is not worth the risk.

After being told by the rental car company NU Rental, you guys paired me with, said they would have a shuttle pick me up and never showed. When I called again, they said they were closed. The next morning, when I arrived at the car rental company, they said that they did not have the car I agreed to, but they did have a premium car and that they would charge me extra 150 dollars more and I would have to take out their insurance for another 50 dollars. They then said I could talk to you guys but I was told by one of your representatives that it was nonrefundable and pretty much was out of luck. So, no car and still got charged for this. Even when my wife tried to call the day this happened, there was no solution you offered other than Oh well. Hopefully, you guys don't get away with doing this to anyone else, but that is wishful thinking.

The kitchenette was filthy, empty beer cans and wine bottles on the counter. The refrigerator was full of old food. The entire room was disgusting. I videoed the room and checked out immediately. I had a issue with my hotel having roaches. After talking with 3 different representatives at Priceline and being flat out lied to and the hotel refusing to do anything I spoke to Mateo and he also lied. I still have not received any resolution. Mateo (a supervisor) stated that it was apparent the hotel did not care and he was escalating the issue to his supervisor to see if we could be refunded and would call us back in 24 hours. 2 days later no call back so I called yet again and was given another supervisor who said we had to wait until next week to see if the hotel was getting an exterminator (we checked out 8/27 and the hotel was informed 8/25 and we gave them pictures of the roaches and Priceline was provided pics as well).
The hotel has already told 3 representatives, us, and 2 supervisors. They weren't doing anything at all to fix this issue as well. It seems all Priceline does is lie and continue giving a run around as well considering the second supervisor said something completely different and stated Priceline has to get a refund from the hotel to do anything when Mateo stated that Priceline would likely handle the issue and refund us since the hotel was unwilling to do anything. This is crazy. I spent over 1300 on a Suite and now extra to ensure I didn't transfer roaches into my home and that they weren't in my car and no one cares at all. Why would we need to wait for a exterminator when there's pictures and the hotel has already made it very clear they aren't doing anything no matter what the exterminator says.
The hotel knows they have roaches. They are crawling across the mirrors in their hallway and they do not care one bit. This was supposed to be a nice hotel not some crappy motel. I’ve been a Priceline user for many years now and I’ve been quite satisfied over those years. Unfortunately this year they’ve disappointed me on more than a few occasions. One being; My family of 5 needed to leave our home to ensure safety due to weather. We booked a room in the nearest town and were told that the third party (Priceline) hadn’t provided the payment, which she explained how they use a ghost card. The money had been taken from our account and when I called Priceline, they gave me the runaround and nearly two weeks later, we were refunded. Thankfully we had a little extra saved for such an occasion but had to scrape for food.
I normally plan further ahead and book in advance but on this other occasion, I was able to take the day off and drive out of town for my stepson’s first football game so it was kind of last minute. I have three children with me (2, 8, 11). I booked a room since I can’t drive at night because it’s hard even with my glasses, nor do I want to travel that far with kiddos, especially that late.. I get to the hotel and they immediately tell me that they are completely booked and they’ve already tried resolving the issue with the third party with no luck. I am so exhausted at this point and trying to get everyone cleaned up and fed before the game. I literally just cried because what am I supposed to do? I have just enough money to feed us and get us home.
Priceline finally called me back and was informed I’m going to have to call back tomorrow (Saturday) before they can start the refund process! How can you take someone’s money so quickly but it takes two weeks to give it back? I’m not sure if it’s just my luck lately but just be aware that if you only have a specific amount of money to spend on a trip, if there are any hiccups when you arrive to the hotel, Priceline will absolutely not help get you in a room. I’m having to “camp out” with my 3 kids in an unfamiliar town until daylight because what I had left, went on a room that we can’t stay in. Extremely poor customer service. I’ll stick to booking through other apps. Even if I pay a little extra, I know I’m not gambling on getting a room. ESPECIALLY WHEN I’VE GOT MY BABIES WITH ME!

They bullied my family and had my wife so upset. They then said they would have to cancel the reservation and charged another $75 fee. Priceline has terrible people and is a terrible company. I checked out 9 nights early from my hotel and have been trying to get a refund for these nights for over a month. The customer service at Priceline treats you like a robot and reads their script without ever actually listening to what you need. They are also liars!!! They said I needed approval from the hotel to get this refund. So I get approval and they say Oh no, it needs to be written. The hotel manager doesn’t want to give me the written approval because they know Priceline will scam us both.
The hotel manager says they will take the refund from her and not give it to me - and she was right! She even tried to call them and give the approval to make sure they know they have to give me the refund. This back and forth went on for 3 weeks until I had to get angry and be mean to the customer service and then they said "Fine, we will put you on hold and call the hotel." I wait for 2 hours and they call back and say, "Ok we got your refund, it will be in your account in a few days." I think finally this can end.
Three days later, I get an email saying I still have not gotten my refund. I call and they say the hotel never sent the refund and they still want written approval to reach out again. I am so fed up at this point and angry but I say, "Fine, I’ll call the hotel." And the hotel of course, confirms that they sent the refund 3 days before when Priceline called and said I was on the other line! I knew they were lying and they are just trying to make me give up on my refund so they can pocket the money. It must be some kind of game amongst the customer service reps. They are awful people and I will forever spread the word to not use Priceline. I will now be going to my bank to dispute this and get a refund because I am convinced these people will never be honest and give me my refund.

My wife called and spoke with hotel.com and Jolene from the hotel and Jolene was texting my wife and assured her that she received the request. We have been trying to get our $377 back since the reservation was canceled. We went back for another event and I stopped by with my wife personally to see the GM of the hotel named Lael and she refused to see us.
I have opened a claim with my bank and still fighting to get my $$$ back. For this amount, they were willing to have their business practice blasted all over the internet with a negative review. I left that hotel and had to go book at another hotel. The service was bad because they're advertising Holiday Sands South but not Holiday Inn Holiday sands South condos on the app and that's where I got bamboozled. So be careful when you go online and get the condo online not the Holiday sands South regular. You'll get jacked. The bedding was unacceptable. Everything seemed fine until we arrived at the airport and discovered that no flight reservation had been made for my baby daughter—despite her being clearly listed in the package details. This critical oversight meant we couldn’t board the flight, and our entire trip was ruined.
What made matters worse was the Priceline complete lack of support. I contacted customer service immediately, only to be bounced around from one department to another with no resolution. After hours of frustration, I finally reached a supervisor who, shockingly, offered no help and told me I had to deal with the situation myself. No rebooking assistance. No compensation. Nothing.
This was supposed to be a joyful family vacation, and instead, we were left stranded, disappointed, and out a significant amount of money. I spent hours researching hotels in the Amalfi Coast for my honeymoon. A client of mine highly recommended a hotel with a specific room. I usually book directly through hotels but after being solicited by Priceline through emails and ads, I decided to give it a try. Especially because it was easier to book a hotel overseas on their platform. To make a long story short, after paying extra, I’m talking hundreds of dollars extra for a top floor suite and receiving confirmation in my email with all the dates and price and room confirmed, I thought I was set.
Good thing I called the hotel on my own. Much to my disappointment, I learned Priceline’s “third party” affiliate sent over the wrong room type to the hotel. The only reason I even chose this was based on the room that came recommended to me. I have gone back and forth with Priceline for over 2 weeks now and still have not received compensation or the room I originally purchased. They told me they tried to reach out to the hotel over a week ago but when I called the hotel AGAIN, they said no such thing was true. Priceline admitted they made an error, but have done barely anything to correct it. We are so so disappointed.
It’s just false advertisement and human error that I should not have to suffer for. This was supposed to be an enjoyable time. A honeymoon is a major life event. I’ve wasted so much time and money and didn’t get what I paid for. It’s been very frustrating that nobody in their customer service team speaks English as a first language. It’s also frustrating that I have to keep calling Europe from the USA to check up on Priceline, (who is supposed to be a major brand). I have even gone so far as to escalate the issue to their corporate office and nothing has been resolved. I’m now 1 week away from my flight with zero resolution. If I wanted to stay in a basic room, I wouldn’t have paid double for it. Ridiculous that I have to follow up on their behalf. I will never use their services again.

I am frustrated that I was unable to get a refund after booking something in error. I accidentally booked a hotel in the wrong location - Athens, Georgia, instead of Athens, Greece. Yes, I agreed to the non-refundable terms (thinking that I was booking with Hilton, not Priceline). These mistakes are on me. I should have paid closer attention. I immediately cancelled the reservation (less than five minutes later) after I realized. I called Priceline, and they advised me to obtain the name and title of someone at the hotel to see if I could get a refund. I was unable to get someone from the hotel because the Hilton was closed and undergoing renovations to become a Marriott. I contacted both hotel chains through email, but neither claimed to have access to the reservation.
I sent Priceline the information, and they said they would not refund me due to the policy. Again, I understand it was non-refundable, but the policy is ridiculous. Also, I see this as a way to take advantage of human error, since they can't even allow any grace for a reservation that was made in error, cancelled within minutes, and that neither hotel had a record of. Neither hotel is losing anything since they don't have a record of the reservation ever having been made; therefore, Priceline gets to pocket almost $1300, while I still have to pay for my actual trip to Greece.

What can only be described as a total failure of service, accountability, and integrity on Priceline’s part. While on a beautiful East Coast vacation, I relied on Priceline to secure a $400+ hotel reservation in Nova Scotia. After driving over 200km to reach the property, I was shocked to be turned away by the hotel staff. Their explanation? "Priceline has been selling rooms for the last 2–3 months that do not exist in our inventory." I was the fifth couple turned away that day alone. The hotel was fully booked, and there was no record whatsoever of my reservation.
This is not a minor glitch—it’s a massive operational failure with direct and damaging consequences to customers. Being stranded on a busy Saturday during peak tourism season, with limited availability across the province, meant the next available hotel was over 100km away, compounding an already exhausting and disruptive ordeal.
To make matters worse, Priceline’s customer service added insult to injury. In order to issue a refund, they insisted on calling the hotel to “verify” the issue. But here’s the absurdity: this verification only happens after the customer has driven hundreds of kilometers, been turned away, and wasted precious time. Why is there no verification or real-time inventory check before the booking is even accepted? It is asinine business practice to allow customers to pay and plan around accommodations that may not even exist, only to “check” after things have already gone wrong.
Even more frustrating, the representative asked me to find the hotel’s phone number—placing the burden on the customer to solve a problem that is entirely Priceline’s to own. This highlights a complete lack of coordination, internal controls, and care. This situation required two calls and over an hour of my time just to receive a refund and a meager $50 "goodwill credit"—which I was told would take 3–5 business days to be applied. After calling back to follow up when the credit was not received, I was abruptly hung up on by another Priceline representative.
In total, this experience wasted over 7 hours of my time, caused a 200+ km detour, resulted in unnecessary financial strain, and derailed what should have been a stress-free part of my vacation. To date, I have still not received the goodwill credit. This goes beyond poor customer service. How is it legal to sell hotel rooms using real photos and descriptions, with no actual room availability or working relationship with the property? This is a deceptive and harmful business practice that should not be allowed to continue unchecked. Consumers deserve protection from this kind of negligence. I hope others read this and think twice before using Priceline. What happened to me is unacceptable, and until Priceline can ensure accuracy, accountability, and transparency in their listings, they do not deserve your trust—or your business.

I will NEVER use Priceline or Avis again, or recommend them to anyone else! When I picked up the car at the Wichita, Kansas airport, I was informed that since I booked the rental using a third-party service, I would be charged $13 a day for adding him. It’s only free to add a spouse if I book directly through Avis.
I was charged an additional $65 for adding him, even though their own website says spouses are free. I called Priceline as soon as we left the airport, and was assured by the manager that the policies they abide by were taken directly from Avis themselves, and that adding my spouse would be free. She put me on hold and supposedly called the Avis counter and spoke to the same man who we dealt with, and assured me that if I was charged, it would be refunded, and gave me a case number.
Well, my credit card was indeed charged and not refunded. This is FRAUD, plain and simple. Nowhere on the Avis website does it say that if we book our trips with a third-party service then we have to pay for an additional driver. I even have a case number from Priceline because I was assured that any charges for the additional driver would be refunded at drop-off and that was a lie, as my credit card was charged $80.19 for additional charges, $65 of that being for the additional driver and who knows what the rest of it was. When I complained, they canceled the reservation leaving me stranded. On top of that, they still charged me. I contacted Priceline since they had facilitated the rental and got zero help. This rental car company has a ton of reviews (I now know) about this very same issue. Priceline shouldn't send customers to a shady, scam business. Assuming they didn't know about the bait and switch tactics, they should help you resolve it since I am sure they are paid for their service.

Would never recommend for car rental. I showed up to get my car, at Budget and they didn’t have any cars. I called Priceline and after being on the phone for 45 mins they acted like I was lying or at the wrong location. Once they confirmed it was on them I was told that I can book the same dates and same car somewhere else outside of Priceline and Priceline would reimburse me the difference. It’s been crickets from them. I called and am on the phone for over an hour. They keep saying they are “making a ticket” and escalating and someone will call back. No one ever calls. The agents have absolutely NO idea what they are doing. I was on the phone with “Maria” supposedly a supervisor on duty and she was in the wrong reservation for the first 20 mins of our conversation. The agents will argue with you then when it’s pointed out they have no idea what they are doing they get quiet. It’s HORRIBLE!!!

Priceline will be the last one that I use to book anything. It’s easy to book and prices seem to be competitive. It’s when you complain about a service (condition of hotel) that you run into a problem. I’m still trying to get a refund for a night since I had to check out of the hotel due to its condition! Customer service is poor or nonexistent.

Do not use Priceline.com for any reservations! They have very deceptive marketing tactics and deal with very sketchy businesses. I books a rental car with Mex Rent-a-car through Priceline and the words FREE CANCELLATION were on every page when I booked it for tomorrow. Mex Rent-A-Car has never responded to my multiple attempts to contact their customer service and Priceline says the terms say no refunds within 48 hours when their site said FREE CANCELLATION when I booked within 48 hours. I am disputing charge with credit card company.

Priceline should not be allowed to operate. I rented a car at DFW $77 including fees. Rental place Easirent wanted to charge me $153 started adding shuttle fees (energy fees). Shuttle smelled like marihuana, took us to a remote shady location I thought I was being kidnapped. They had a site fee on top of it. Didn’t have the car they promised. Made us waste 2 hrs after traveling internationally. We were exhausted. Terrible awful experience. Easirent guy shady salesman wanting to add fees or threaten to cancel transaction, we ran out of that place. Never coming back to Dallas.

Website quoted $96.00 fee for a hotel but they billed me $119.06. Their customer support was filled with people who barely spoke English. It was difficult to get a human being on the phone, and even harder to get my money back.

Horrible customer service. Refused to help even though their customer person screwed up. No refund, not willing to help with credits. Original phone call in for service, no person name, did NOT ask for my info. Their error all along.

So I am vacationing in Colombia and I had to book a last minute stay at the Hotel Marriot airport. It’s is a beautiful hotel. They also offer a wonderful breakfast. The problem is they try and extort money from you for everything. Now call me an idiot for continuing to stay here. My first trip they charged for the free internet. This was about 8 years ago. I call Priceline and of course they reverse the charge. Few years later they charge tax on the room even though I pay Priceline. Of course I call and they reverse the charges. Let’s fast forward to today. Coal miners in Sogamoso Colombia were protesting so I caught a bus to Bogota.
I visit Priceline and look for a room for 3 adults and I child. The third adult is barely an adult. I get the price and pay for it. Of course when I get to the hotel I am told that I need to pay for my older son. I call Priceline and explain that I choose 3 adults and 1 child. The customer service person has a heart attack before I am upset. The supervisors can’t see the people on my reservation. Long story short they can’t help me either. So again I am extorted for another 66 bucks. Trust me when I tell you I will not use Priceline or this hotel in the future.

Such a scam. Paid extra for a Suite but when I got to the hotel, they said that there was no Suite to my name, only the Standard hotel room. I was on hold with customer service for at least an hour in the hotel lobby and still didn’t get the issue resolved.

SCAM-like practices all the way. They don't hesitate to promise you a call back or refund. Yet, you never get any. Running a credit card chargeback now to force my money from this crooked agency. Just face any travel issue like cancellation, delay, flight change or so and you will learn what I'm talking about.
