Priceline does nothing but rip their customers off. I paid $120.00 to book my reservation in which I went to go pick it up and they finally tell me at counter that I need another $400 for deposit. I didn't have the $400 let alone the $120.00 that they made me think was the deposit. I never got my $120 back because apparently they do not do refunds if you cannot afford their deposit. I'm going to be writing a bad review on the Better Business Bureau and I have just hired an awesome lawyer so I can take Priceline to the cleaners!

I’ve been lied to for two in a half month about them claiming they refunded me. I finally got the check. Went to cash it and the teller said she can’t cash it because they don’t use the money in the account and it’s way over negative. I called in and they had me on hold for hours after I told them the issue. I have yet to be paid.

They list hotels where you appear to have a refundable reservation but then you cancel and guess what no refund or only half refund even though you canceled a week before the trip. Why do they write the word refundable when it is really not and you lose half your money even though you cancel a week ahead of time.

DON’T! That would be my advice. I arrived to Tampa, alone, at night, on my way to a friend in need, to find my so called, BUNDLE, rent a car was not even at the airport. I had to shuttle a mile to get them. Was met with 500 deposit if i took their ins which was another 175 plus 19 a day for tolls and i never even used the car except to drive to friend house and back, or 1000 deposit to use my ins, but lo and behold they do not do business with Progressive so that won't work. SCAM!!! And, the couple in front of me, same surprise, then upon return all the people arriving had the same issues. This is a joke!!!

Priceline needs to be investigated. I have been trying to get a flight scheduled for an ill relative. After spending approximately $6000CAD. I don't have flights booked, this has been going on since November 2025. For each time they create a story and make scenarios and request more fees. I find this to be deliberate and fraudulent . I have spoken to Agents Miara, Red, Laura and two others I don't remember their names. Right now I have exhausted all means to sort this and moving ahead legally to get compensation.

I was waiting for a confirmation and the info also my husband was at the airport ready to board. I just send him a text I got from Priceline and he show it to the attendant and they told him that the link it was broken (false) so he miss the flight I contact customer service and they told me that it’s not refund because he do not shows so now I have to paid those 300 for a service a never received, do not use Priceline people. They taking your money away (stolen) the lady at customer service said, "We respect your decision to not make business with us." 🤔 Yeah right after they took your money away. It’s already gone 😡🤬. Really bad service and company.

I purchased a room online and thought I was paying for an upgraded room. Once at the hotel, I realized I was given a standard room. I was charged the upgraded price. When I checked out, I spoke with the front desk and they told me to speak with Priceline, but I should have only been charged $113. I was charged $142. The standard rate is $113 so I called Priceline to let them know I didn’t get the upgrade and I would like the difference refunded. They refused saying they only show a standard room. I said your standard room was $100, the upgrade was $130. I was charged for the upgrade. They responded saying no I chose the $130 rate as a standard room. I said how does that make sense? Why would I scan room options and choose to pay $30 more for a standard room. It’s not logical. Priceline refuses to believe there could be any error on their end. I also have the receipt from the hotel saying my total should have been 113.85.

Booked a car through Priceline. I realize it was a non-refundable transaction but there should be room for vendor negligence. Long story, booked a car, went to pick it up ROUTES @ Tampa Internatl. Airport, vendor attempted to upcharge fees! Turning my $131 transaction to over $700. I declined with a few choice words after arguing back and forth with ROUTES agent. I went back to airport and rented directly with another car rental company.
An example of an upcharge you ask! If you decline their $34 daily toll transponder you have to sign a document which you agree to pay an upfront $300 and all additional toll fees should you go through a toll. $300!!! And there were other things in addition to the aggressive attempts at upselling the car rental with Priceline. Priceline should be aware of these tactics. After all, their name is attached to the rental. Bottom line, I paid the original $131 and then another $300 to book last minute elsewhere.

I have never been so outdone with a company. We recently rented a hotel room but on arrival it was nothing short of the Bates motel. The door adjacent to ours was beaten in where it was unstable, there were marks on the wall that could have been blood but we weren't sure. One of the elevators were down and the other had to be turned off and on to start because it was hot. On top of all of that we felt unsafe. So, it unnerving to hear where they refunded several folks that didn't have the complaints that we had. Never again will I use this service.

I arrears to PayPal because of this garbage company. Seems the PLAN to rent a car, room, etc IS their service. Not the complete follow thru. They know damn well they are cheating people giving them a reasonable rate while also quite sure that plan will not be honored by the partnering company, in my case Hertz. Was literally scoffed at for thinking it was that easy and I quote "you rented it (the car) online today. They don't know we do or don't have cars available!" Really? Really.

Never ever buy from Priceline. You Willy honk you got deal and cheaper flights but once you have problem they won’t help you. These ** people suck at their work. I just don’t understand why would they have customer service from different countries. They suck and they suck at the core. I was their loyal customer for more than 10 years. Not until last year I got problem with them. They literally ate up my money when I had to cancel flight. They literally ate the money and asked the airline to credit me for the cancelled flight. Not even refund. And that too was for only one flight and not the 2nd one. They didn’t even send reminder to cancel the 2nd flight.
I wasn’t aware that I was supposed to call for both flight. I assumed since I’m cancelling the 1st flight so will the 2nd flight will automatically get cancelled. But the truth is Priceline runs on their customers’ money. If you cancel a flight they get the money and the airlines have to credit you. I learned it while I was calling the airlines to use my credit. It was a pain in ass to use the credit as well.

I am extremely upset with Priceline. Their service has been consistently bad and unreliable. You book a car at a confirmed price, arrive at the rental location, and suddenly there is no car available - unless you pay extra for a different one. Their customer service is outsourced and completely ineffective. I got nowhere trying to resolve my issues. It felt worse than dealing with an automated system. There is no real accountability or meaningful help.
My worst experience was during a trip to the UK. I rented a car through Priceline and added their insurance during booking. When I arrived at the rental office, I was told the system should never have allowed the reservation because no car was actually reserved for me. I ended up spending over $100 on Uber just to get to and from the rental location for absolutely nothing.
Despite never receiving a car, Priceline refused to refund the insurance I paid for. While abroad, I couldn’t call due to international charges, and their chat support was nothing but a repeating AI bot. When I finally called after returning home, I was again told the insurance would not be refunded—even though no service was provided. This behavior feels deceptive and unacceptable. I will be deleting my Priceline account and will never use their service again. This is the first time in my life that a customer service experience pushed me to lose my temper with a representative.

When I got there the man told me that I needed to pay him100.00 in cash & when I check out I would get it back asap but if I pay with card it would take a lil time. First of all this is new to me about the 100 deposit after I’ve already paid the 52.00 for 1 night well then 52.00 I lost to the hotel that I never once checked into because I did not agree & I did not have 100 cash on me. Neither did I have 100 to spare. They took my 52.00 quicker than my eye can blink.

Ok I don’t complain much. I am more than aware people mess up and I can take apologies however this night was so awful and there is no explanation for it. I booked the edgewater hotel in downtown Seattle for New Year’s Eve night in JULY. I paid the full $550.75, bought insurance. I called a week before and got a confirmation number. We pull up on New Year’s Eve with it packed. I’m in curlers and a long gown. My husband has a black suit. We had dinner reservations in an hour and we needed our room to check in and carry on with the exciting evening.
We go to the front desk and he tells me two days earlier the reservation was canceled. No explanation other than that. They were completely booked up and we had nowhere to go. On New Year’s Eve. Any other night maybe it could be made up but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I paid in full months before and planned this night out by the hour. Our dinner reservations were missed. We lost our deposit on it because it was new year's.
I left crying very upset. I’m writing this because I was fully refunded but the night can not be made up and they had no explanation on any end who canceled and why. Everyone blamed everyone else and I was left feeling completely overlooked and forgotten. Clearly someone messed up and although I got my money I do not feel like it made up for any of it. It was an awful night. I will never rely on Priceline again. We were stranded on the most busiest night of the year. Horrible. Shirley was great. She got me the money back. It wasn’t her fault. Don’t trust Priceline. No accountability.

I purchased a rental car on Thrifty and went to pick it up at Portland Airport. I spent 30 minutes in line with only the current customer in front of me, because the lady at the counter was yapping and making small talk with her customer. Then I found out that because I do not have a credit card, only a debit card, and a return flight since I live locally, I could not rent the car which was already paid for on Priceline. I came back into line to ask the question if it was already paid for why I couldn’t rent the car and I was told if I did not have a return flight they would not rent the car to me. I waited an additional 45 minutes to ask that one question! An hour and 15 minutes wasted waiting on 2 freaking customers!
Now we are fighting Priceline to get our money back since we didn’t purchase the protection policy which tacks on an additional $16 per day which would have doubled our rental fare. Priceline didn’t inform us at all about the ridiculous policy the airport had even though we put in our address so they should have known it was a local rental. Avoid them at all cost! The rating options should have an option for zero stars!

We booked a New Year's trip to Las Vegas with Priceline. We got our confirmation for our booking and if we had not called to book our car at the hotel, we would’ve never known that they never booked our reservation for the hotel. We would have shown up and had no room on New Year’s Eve. After the hotel told us they had no reservation for us. We sent all of our confirmation from Priceline. The hotel said, "We still do not have a reservation for you. We can’t find it anywhere." So I called Priceline who found our trip then they had to call their third-party who apparently books for them.
At that point we were told that they did not book the room and they gave our room to someone else. So we will never ever use Priceline again. We did not have a room. They would not help us book another room. Said they couldn’t do it because they had no more available and Priceline basically ruined our trip which was just a last-minute trip to Las Vegas. Thank God that we called the hotel to book a ride or we would’ve shown up and had no room. I was also unaware that the third-party booking agents used another third-party to book the rooms for them. Priceline is awful and offered no solution to the problem that they caused.

We travel with our dog, so we look for pet friendly hotels. Priceline said Holiday Inn in East Peoria was pet friendly. Arrive at the hotel, find out they don't allow pets and it's too late to request a refund. Being a holiday weekend, almost every other hotel was booked solid. We booked 2 rooms, both with pets, only ended up using one room. The other sat empty and never used. Not even the key card in the lock.
Fast forward to the week after and we attempt to get a refund and inform Priceline that their listing is incorrect. Not only are they rude and inconsiderate to our pleas, they refuse to give a refund for the unused room. When we request to escalate to a supervisor, they say one will call back in a couple of hours...yet days go by and we have to call back to start the process all over again. So if you use Priceline, don't blindly trust what the website says. You really should do your due diligence to ensure your own peace of mind for your trip. Don't let them ruin it for you before it begins.

First of all Priceline, does not have the lowest prices. Second of all, their "Best Price Guarantee" is a scam. When you find a lower price within 24 hours of booking, then they will let you know that the airline you booked with does not participate in Priceline's "Best Price Guarantee". This is after your credit card has been charged the higher price by Priceline with no mention that the airline tickets you are purchasing do not qualify for "Best Price Guarantee". The fact that they do not inform you at Point Of Sale that your airline tickets do not qualify for "Best Price Guarantee" is a deceptive business practice and should be in violation of consumer protection laws.
Priceline Customer Service is rude and argues with you that not being transparent about the "Best Price Guarantee" until it is too late is OK. OK for who? Priceline charges more money and is in effect stealing from consumers with false advertising. Do your due diligence and you will find better prices with a much better consumer experience someplace other than Priceline. I immediately found the exact same airline tickets on the airline's website for a lower price, let alone within 24 hours of booking.

When I called Priceline directly, the automated system kept redirecting me back to Hertz, where their automated service kept redirecting me back to customer service and the place that I booked the car through, Priceline.
Between Priceline and Hertz, I was being told to contact the other. It was a vicious cycle of automated nightmares. I kept getting told to go to the counter agent where I was supposed to pick up the car, but the counter agents refused to help and kept sending me to customer service via phone. I had a severely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Priceline. I have been a loyal customer and even held their Visa card, yet they provided the worst service I have ever dealt with. My 75-year-old mother had surgery on both eyes just nine days before our scheduled flight, and she was medically unable to travel. I immediately contacted Priceline to request a reschedule or refund based on her condition.
At first, Priceline informed me that I was eligible for a refund with a $100 fee, which I accepted. The very next day—on the third day—they reversed their decision and claimed I was not eligible for a refund, insisting instead that I use the credit to reschedule. I had already submitted medical documents, and they rejected them, claiming the documents lacked a letterhead and the doctor’s printed name. I contacted the hospital in Egypt, obtained updated documents exactly as requested, and resubmitted them.
Despite this, Priceline continued delaying the process and making excuses. For seven consecutive days, I called them three to four times a day to reschedule. Every time, they asked me to pick new dates and flights, only to tell me after hours on hold that the flight was suddenly unavailable and that I needed to call back again. After seven days of this, I became completely exhausted and requested a cancellation and full refund.
I then waited another eight days with no update. Finally, Priceline informed me that American Airlines rejected the medical documentation—documentation for a 75-year-old woman who had undergone surgery on both eyes and was clearly unable to travel. Priceline failed to honor their initial promise, mishandled my case from the beginning, and ultimately took my money without providing any service.

So I am in a battle, as of right now. It is November 24, 2025. @4:35pm. Our reservation was for the 21st -23rd. We made it in town before Check-in on the 21st. So we did an early Check-in to get ready for the funeral. This is the short version. So, to our surprise the hotel was horrific. I immediately notified the front desk. The person at the front desk gave us another room that we went on a hunt for.... which didn't exist (weird). She said she would give us our refund, but we had to contact Priceline.
NOW COMES THE DECEPTION!!! 😡 Call them and they will contact her to confirm her willingness to give us our full refund.. Remember, we came in town early like 6:45am, so we needed to hurry up and get ready for the funeral that was for 9am. So they allowed us to do our early check in. Once we saw the condition of the room, the smell, the environment was toxic, there was trash everywhere, people pacing and walking around that you can tell did not belong there. Most of them under the influence, dirty and on a substance. We did not feel safe at all and the biggest thing when we got on the elevator to go to the 3rd floor the elevator had a sign on it for us to push or slide the door as the elevator closes! Where they do that at???? It was creaking and rusted out. We were hoping we made it to the 3rd floor. We felt so unsafe just in the elevator.
So I called priceline quite a few times. They guarantee us our money would be back on the card Sunday the 23rd. That did not happen and I called them within five times on Sunday from the hours of 11am-4:45pm. Then the story changed. Now we had to get pictures, but yet we were and route to Go Back to Dallas. Wow the games people play. I don't even need to get in detail with you about the conversations. Because this right here tells more than enough, the games that's being played from the partner of Priceline. I applaud Laquinta Inn's employee who tried her best to help us. Returned our early check in money because we paid cash for that.
This is not right. This is on so many levels of being illegal and playing with the fact of knowing someone lives over 8 hours away from their destination and knowing they cannot do what is asked when one story was told and now another scenario is given in order to receive our refund..THE LIES AND DECEITFULNESS! WE NEED OUR MONEY. Oh, and we had to go to another hotel and paid double of what we would have been paying at that hotel!!! Fast forward: When I got to the Hotel, there was a warning sign on the front window regarding it was a smoking facility. When I got to my room, the smell hit me as soon as I opened the door, there was toilet paper on the desk and bugs on the vanity. I went back for a 2nd room and could not get in the door.
When I tried for a 3rd room, again the smell hit me when I opened the door, there were burnt holes in the bed linens, no TV, toilet running with cigarette butts swirling around, a cable cord running across the floor, lamp shade broke, no fire alarm on the wall and the shade above the curtains falling off the wall. I called Price line right then and told them I could not stay there and needed help. They asked for pics so I sent them right then. They kept me on the phone for an hr and 23 minutes to tell me that they had reached out to their affiliate for hotels and were waiting on a response. and that that would call me back. I explained to them I was 13 1/2 hrs from home and needed to get into another place to stay.
While all this was going on, I watched shady people going and coming into this hotel. This place was also not safe to be at. I had to go and get myself into another hotel. Found out that the hotel I got thru Priceline the city was trying to condemn. I called Priceline back and they informed that their affiliate informed they were not refunding the money because I had ckd in. My trip from Cleveland, OH to Cebu, Philippines: An I.T. outage at Alaskan Air delayed my flight out of Cleveland, OH, and eventually cancelled it at 11 pm. Confused Alaskan Air reps. booked me on another flight out of Cleveland on American Airlines that had me flying out at 5:30 am the following morning, so I was forced to sleep at the airport. Attempting to check in at 4 am revealed that Alaskan Air did not send over my ticket information to American Airlines, thus I had no plane ticket and the rest of my connecting flights had already occurred.
Taking American Airline's suggestion to contact Alaskan Air left me with only being able to contact customer support via phone, since nobody would be at the Cleveland terminal until later in the day. Contacting Alaskan Air customer service revealed that my approx hold time would be 6 hours and 5 minutes. Realizing that I was completely screwed, I walked over to United Airlines, found that flights were still available to Cebu, Philippines to visit my fiancé, and had to pay another $1557 USD to get there. The United experience was one of complete organization, safety, and customer service.
3 days prior to my departure after 13 days in Cebu, I received an email from Priceline.com (disfunctional.com) informing me that my upcoming return flight to Cleveland, OH had been either cancelled or changed, and that "I HAD TO CALL EVA AIR TO FIND OUT WHAT THE CHANGE WAS." Having gone through Typhoon Tino, and with Super Typhoon Fung Wong approaching the Philippines, I had 0% faith in any airline flights associated with Priceline.com, so I booked another fully organized and SAFE return flight through United Airlines. To add insult to injury, EVA Air had the nerve to send me a "nasty gram text" informing me that they would impose a "rebooking fee" for my return flight "no show." Yes, I'm serious... I made both hotel and car reservations through Priceline. Their policy is “no cancellations or changes after the reservation is made”. I had to delay my trip by two days. All I wanted to do was let the car rental company and hotel know that I was going to be delayed. I called both companies direct and they could not help me because the reservations were made through Priceline. I worked through Priceline’s online computer people and got the run around but was finally told that they would check with the hotel to see if the reservation could be changed and let me know by email. I never got an email from them.
I tried to find a number that I could call and could not find one anywhere on their site. The “contact us” button only takes you to a computer “AI”person. I went that route again and this time was not even offered the checking back with the hotel option again. Just no cancellations, no changes PERIOD. When I finally arrived at the car company on the date two days after originally anticipated, I was told that because I didn’t pick up the car two days earlier, I was not guaranteed the type of car I had reserved nor the price I reserved it at.
I had to rent a nicer car and pay the higher price for it. Then I arrived at the hotel, I was originally told that because I didn’t arrive in the date of my reservation, I would now have to make a new reservation for my remaining five day stay. Then a more senior person stepped in and got me a room without a new reservation. Needless to say, I ended up paying for two days extra of rental car plus the upgraded price for the entire 7 days even though I only used it for 5 days. I then had to pay for an additional two days of the hotel. The hotel also charged me an additional 30.00 per night accommodation fee which they say is disclosed in the Priceline site, but if it is, it’s not obvious. I purchased a round-trip ticket through Priceline to fly Southwest from 11/13/2025 and a return flight home on 11/16/2025. I was supposed to fly out of Columbus, Ohio - John Glenn International Airport to Las Vegas, Nevada - Harry Reid International Airport. I spoke to someone at Priceline and Southwest Airlines on Monday, November 11 during the evening hours and was told by Priceline and Southwest, that my flight was affected by the government shutdown in Las Vegas and they were only going to refund me a portion of money paid for my flight going to Vegas on 11/13, but will not refund me my money for the flight returning on 11/16 and I was only eligible for a "credit".
I stated that I do not want a credit for a flight that I could not take and that I want a full refund since my flight was cancelled and I am unable to fly into the Las Vegas airport. I also added that it made no sense for me not to be eligible for a full refund. How can I accept a credit for a flight in a place that I will not be in because the flight going to the place was cancelled?
Both customer service reps from Priceline and Southwest, refused to issue me a full refund for my flight, only a partial refund was supposed to be issued in which I have yet to receive. My returning flight is still in an "active" status. I paid for a service that I did not receive from no fault of my own. I did not purchase a round-trip plane ticket for a partial refund and a credit; I purchased a plane ticket to travel to and from Las Vegas and this is not what I received.
It deeply saddens me that Southwest and Priceline would choose to take this route of punishing the consumer, in hopes to recover some of the millions of dollars that they are probably losing due to the government shutdown. This is out of their control and also the consumers and is quite unfortunate. But instead of holding themselves to a higher moral compass and taking whatever losses comes with the government shutdown, they are choosing to cheat the American Consumer and withhold money that does not belong to them. The services were not rendered, so a FULL refund is owed. This is called theft on the highest of levels!

A car rental in Ontario, Canada and Disappointed 💯very misleading website. Looked over the website details, asked many questions to PENNY. It’s very misleading - especially when you click on a good rate vehicle while not logged in and it’s available - but you log in it’s not available - it’s suddenly blocked from being available.
Your profile plays a big part especially if you have discount codes you’re adding. Very misleading wallet coupons for 5% off were to be applied for qualified rental but when you do a reservation, you want to see the breakdown of 5% off and your corporate code and other discounts if applied before you commit- not possible. It’s a setup. Chatbot PENNY said it will be applied at the end - it wasn’t ever applied even with cancelling redoing it. None of the coupons and car rental company codes were applied, even though they were typed into the hidden hard-to-find drop-down boxes of the rental page costs after clicking on the rental you want.
It was tried without logging in & tried with logging in - still same price - you save zero by going through Priceline. FYI, Priceline offers insurance - it’s RentalCover insurance, it’s cheaper if you go to the RentalCover website, 15.00 a day, way more through Priceline. Priceline says they do price match the rental rates etc - they don’t - screen shots saved of the lower rates - sent the info in - Priceline said it’s not qualified doesn’t let us send more information into them. Very disappointing.
Very risky to use Priceline be very cautious and double check the rates without logging in, clear your cookies, cache. Then log in - see if the price is cheaper for the same car & dates & time. Compare the price to not being logged in - where is the savings? The coupons they offer don’t qualify for some rentals - then Penny the chatbot says they do & they should. Wallet coupons are just there to visually draw you back to renting through Priceline- it appears you don’t get the discount. I said to Penny, it’s not worth your time using Priceline website if you truly don’t get a better deal or rental price - not even worth it for the ... Priceline Best Price Guarantee. Or we'll refund the difference.

I am writing this review about Priceline. We had booked a room all the way from May 1st at Cascades for just a standard double bedroom. Cascades when we got there wanted to charge us a $350 deposit. We called Priceline immediately and said cancel it, we want our money back of $75.75. We can't pay $350, Especially when my fiance had never stayed at Cascades before but I had..When I had the waived the deposit for me because I had cleans rooms every time I went in with my fiance explaining to them that I had booked the room under his name by accident because I had a Priceline account..
The girl at the front desk went and talked to the manager and he said no he would not waive the deposit and I explained to them who I was and this is my fiance, who was not willing to talk to me at all and not a good way to run a business when you are a manager and you won't talk to your customers..But I'm reviewing Priceline. Don't use them. They say The best price guaranteed but that is not true. They won't match prices and won't give Any Refunds or Cancellations especially when we never even stayed at Cascades that day.
I show on my bank statement we went to Quality Inn the same day! I know this is a very lengthy review but I wanted you to hear exactly what the problem was with the Priceline booking app and then when you get to the motel they want to charge you a deposit that you're not exactly aware of and a lot of times they make it up as they go but Priceline has charged me twice time for this $75.75 and another time for over $100..
The $100 one was at time I actually put Bloomington Illinois on accident on the app instead of Bloomington Indiana and they refuse to give me my money back! Even though I never checked into the hotel in Illinois because I was in Bloomington Indiana..I called Priceline about this also and was told non-refundable. I'm like look lady I'm not even in Illinois, I'm in Indiana but they refused again! My recommendation is to not use Priceline because they will not work with the customer at all they don't even listen so please don't use them. If you make a mistake on accident they will not give you your money back.. Thanks for reading, sorry so long

My sister unexpectedly passed away a few days before my trip. I called the hotel who told me I had to call Priceline. I called Priceline who told me I had to reach out to their 'supplier' WebBeds. On a recorded line, I asked the lady many times "So I just have to send an email to WebBeds with my sister's death certificate and they will send a refund?" She said yes. Then WebBeds told me they don't deal directly with customers so they said I should get ahold of Priceline. Priceline again told me to reach out to WebBeds and the insurance carrier as well because I did get insurance on the trip.
The insurance denied me because at this time the trip had already gone by, even though I was traveling to see family and not go to NYC during the reserved time. And now, WebBeds is saying there is nothing they can do because the hotel has already been paid. I did exactly what they told me, I sent them all the documents they asked for and they bounced me around until suddenly there was 'nothing they could do'. I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service I have received from Priceline, especially during a time I just wanted to grieve with my family. It has been 2 months and they just continue to ignore my emails. HORRIBLE customer service, they don't care if a family member dies, as long as they get their money.

Airline ticket prices are always double what Priceline charges and then what the airline charges. It's better to buy them directly from the airline, that way you'll know exactly how much you have to pay. Hotels are always a complete disaster, for which no one takes responsibility. Again, it's better to make the reservation directly with the hotel and you'll know what to expect in terms of prices and quality. In short, the reservation you make through Priceline will always be double but the quality will be worse.

We went to Priceline for help and they said they won’t do anything without hotel’s approval so we’re out the money & never stayed! They didn’t care-just lip service of “we’re sorry to hear that, but we can’t refund without the hotel's approval."
They’re advertising this hotel on their website & taking NO RESPONSIBILITY or care for their customers which is ME! I trusted Priceline somehow vets these disgusting places & have gotten complaints before. I feel ripped off and disregarded by Priceline who actively advertises this roach motel. I spoke to the Priceline customer support, and they asked me to call the hotel. The hotel informed me that the extra cost was for parking. When I called PriceLine customer support, they said yes, that was a parking fee. Bottom line, PriceLine did not fully disclose on their website that I would be charged for parking at the hotel. The amenities list mentioned "On-site parking". And further down on the page, there is a sentence that says, "Private parking is available. It costs USD 3.87 per day." Private parking? What the heck. Perhaps this was my fault due to my own misunderstanding, but really? Give me a break.

I called back the company, spoke to a representative which I told him to either give me back the reservation or refund me the money. Since I canceled it two minutes after I had charged it. The whole time they kept promising me the refund that they had to go through a third company to give me the refund. It was never done. To this day I’m still getting charged for the $523.00.
Can’t manage to get Bank Of America to straighten out this manner with them. Never let one of these companies charge you before you go on the trip. I purchased a full travel package through the United Airlines website, which redirected me to Priceline (I did not know about it). The package was for 2 travelers, including one way-trip flights and hotel accommodation in Berlin for summer 2025. Everything seemed fine until I checked out of the hotel. To my shock, the hotel informed me that the reservation was made for only one adult, and I was forced to pay €199 extra. This included 4 breakfasts, city taxes, and additional occupancy fees—even though we only ate breakfast 3 times. I had no choice but to pay on the spot.
I immediately contacted Priceline to resolve this. Their response was dismissive and inaccurate. They claimed the extra charge was due to a 16-year-old child not being included in the booking. However, my daughter is not 16 yet, and I clearly booked for 2 travelers (as is stated in the payment evidence that I have submitted). I submitted a follow-up claim, but never heard back.
This experience has left me feeling scammed and ignored. Priceline failed to honor the booking details, misrepresented the occupancy, and refused to take responsibility. The policy stated a $25 per day fee, yet I was charged for six full days, even though I only went out of state once.
Additionally, they attempted to charge me for insurance I did not request, and the car itself was in poor condition — it vibrated excessively in the front, making driving uncomfortable and concerning for safety. I attempted to make refundable round-trip reservations for two from Charleston, SC to Redmond, Oregon on Priceline's website, but the site kept changing one of our flights at checkout. I tried 3 times with the same result before calling Priceline and talking to an agent. The agent said he could make the reservation for me and I repeated several times that I wanted an upgrade to be able to choose our seats, and to get refundable tickets, and he assured me he would do that. I added a rental car to the reservation for a total of $1,787.48. I was subsequently diagnosed with a heart condition that required a change of plans. When I called Priceline to get a refund I was told my tickets were nonrefundable. I spoke with a supervisor, Jessa, who apologized, but didn't admit they had made a mistake, and wouldn't issue a refund for the flights.
Priceline gave me a partial travel credit of $1,044 to be used within a year that requires the same two passengers and the same airline. Initially, she told me it had to be to and from the same cities, but changed that under my pressure to any round-trip destination in the U.S., but I have to use Priceline and the original airline to get the flight credit. Am I supposed to be grateful for that? How about honoring your promise to issue refundable tickets?
She said I had to forfeit the $199 for the seats, though, even though I was never told there was a charge. I assume, since they are already paid for, that those seats will never be resold on those flights with 4 assigned seats in both directions. None of the charges were detailed by the agent or on the confirmation email when I made the reservation, or the email I got for the flight credit. I did get a refund of $385.60 for the rental car, but that wasn't due to Priceline policy, but rather to that of Avis.
I guess that means I only lost $1,401.88 so far by using Priceline after their website didn't work and their incompetent agent refused to follow my directions. Hopefully I'll be able to fly within a year to take advantage of that generous credit the deigned to give me for their mistake/s. Communication was difficult because everyone I spoke with at Priceline barely spoke English. I suppose Priceline saves a lot of money by shipping their call center overseas, however, so there's that.

The hotel canceled my reservation without my consent.
Priceline only refunded the hotel portion and tried to “compensate” me with a worthless 15% coupon for Express Deals.
Those “deals” are overpriced, and all other hotels in the same area now cost much more. The refund I received doesn’t come close to covering a similar hotel.
Meanwhile, the flights remain active – but now they are extremely expensive, because the original package price no longer applies. Ironically, I could have booked the flights much cheaper on their own if I hadn’t chosen the package. Priceline simply blames the hotel and refuses to take any real responsibility or provide a proper solution.
The result: We now have to pay much more out of pocket to get a comparable hotel, and we’re stuck with overpriced flights.
👉 My warning to others: Don’t be fooled by Priceline’s package deals! If one part of your trip falls through, you’ll be left stranded with overpriced leftovers. Other reputable providers step in and help – Priceline just shrugs and offers a useless coupon.
Conclusion: Extremely poor business practices. Save yourself the money and stress – book with a company that actually supports you when things go wrong.

It’s been a week and I’m getting the run around on who fraudulent stole my money for a room and give you a hard time after they stolen your money.

I won't use Priceline again. I booked a motel through them, and as I printed out the confirmation email I realized I had the wrong date (by one day!), so I immediately contacted them to switch the date. When they didn't respond I tried going directly to the motel to ask them to change the date. Two days later when the motel replied the person said they wanted $50 to change it. This felt scammy. I had paid Priceline with a debit card and it went through. I immediately tried to straighten this out with the bank, who tried to reverse the charge, to no avail. They sent me a complaint form to fill out with a due date that expired while I was in Canada for two months. Again my bank tried to get a reprieve but they said no. You're better off booking directly to the motel/hotel if you can find them online--algorithms make it difficult. This no refund policy, for any reason, is not user friendly.

I recently booked a room through Priceline on September 24th. Upon booking this room for a very reasonable price and giving a itinerary number and a booking reservation number when I arrive in Perry Oklahoma I found out that the hotel no longer existed. It was torn down but yet Priceline still can confirm the booking and give me an itinerary number for a hotel that doesn't even exist anymore. I don't know how a company says that price line could even do such a thing and wasting my time. They wasting my effort. When I actually got to talk somebody on the phone my phone call was dropped twice meaning I never got to talk to anyone. That's poor business in my opinion. Not very good for your customer service.

I am having TVL Protect charges against my credit card without authorization. Please explain, please tell my and why this is happening, or I will have to cancel my purchase and cancel my credit card. Do you charge over and over for nothing? If so, this is criminal.

They are great, until something goes wrong. Then you are on your own. I would feel better if they told me that the problem was mine but telling me that you will investigate and call me back and never calling me back is mean.

Their app is glitchy and gets the drop off or pick up Point mixed up with billing. Do not use this company. I had to go through BBB for like 3 months and I still didn't get $225 back. When they screw you and take your money it's non-transferable. Non-modifiable. Non-refundable. Do not use this company at all. Go through Booking. Priceline is trash. I have my receipts.

This was a very expensive lesson that I've learned and moving forward if I find that any other reservation or vacation websites only allow you to talk to a robot I will go where I can actually talk to a human being. This country has gone to the dogs because people don't even have the dignity or the decency to have human beings that you can talk to

I booked a room for 1 night under the understanding that this was a Canadian company. The website says Priceline Canada but definitely it is not. They even sent me a confirmation email and gave me a total of $126. And still nothing stating that it was American. They charged my credit card $180 what a shock. There is 1 small message that they are in the states on the very bottom of a huge bunch of shit in the about us. We already dislike Americans, your doing a dam good job alienating us even more. Well guaranteed I will be letting everyone know about this. I really don't know how you sleep at night, knowing that you are ripping people off which includes senior people that have worked hard all their lives only to be ripped off like this. UNBELIEVABLE. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

Rented a car thru Priceline. Got to the rental place 15 min early and they didn’t have any car available. All Priceline would do is refund are money. Didn’t try and help us out with finding another rental car or hotel . So we were stranded at the airport at midnight. Had to pay out of pocket for a hotel room. So that said I will never is Priceline.

I paid Priceline and drove to the locations where nothing was set up. Got refused for the rental car and the hotel knew nothing. I call Priceline. They tell me they're not refunding any money so they got me for what I paid them plus all the extra cost for everything else.

Purchased plane tickets and car rental through Priceline, I got very sick the day of the trip and had to miss my flight. Tried to cancel trip through Priceline and was told I could not get any refund. I even bought the insurance through the insurance that they provide and I am out 1150. No refund. Would not recommend using this company at all.

After paying for my ticket and landing at my destination Priceline called Canadian north to ask for refund of the money. They claimed they never authorized the payment. Canadian north gave me an outstanding balance of over CAD3200 which I had to pay before ever using the airline. I called priceline and none of their agents was ready to talk to me. They kept transferring me from one agent to another. I paid the money and bought a flight. Beware of priceline!!!! I'm not giving up on the issue.

I'm writing to address an issue with a recent hotel booking with Priceline. I was charged more than the advertised price, with an additional "service fee" being added. This was not clearly communicated during the booking process, and I believe it was a hidden fee. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I have found this experience to be very unsatisfactory due to these unexpected charges.

The Hotel I booked called to tell me their elevators were not working and if I stayed I would need to use the stairs. When I told them I could not do that and would like to cancel my reservation they told me it was booked through a "third party" and I would need to contact them. When I call Pricleline, they transfer me over to "Booking.com" to handle any disputes. Well, booking.com say I need to contact Priceline. It was not a lot of money, but to me it's more about principle...you either work with your customers or you do everything you can to just take their money. Spent hours on the phone trying to fight this. Sad, but I will tell all my friends that yes you can pick up cheap prices there, but if the ANYthing goes wrong...you lose and they somehow still make a living.
