I used Priceline to make a flight car and hotel reservation and had to pay 700 dollars for a rental car cause the rental car company wouldn't honor my reservation and had to get my own rental and pay twice as much. I will never ever use it service again.

I have been driving for almost 24 hours with my 3 kids and we need to sleep. Made a reservation and the site changed my dates. More than once the site has changed information on me and booked things wrong. I had to ask multiple times for a cancellation and refund. They kept saying sorry for the inconvenience which doesn't help me. I had to demand a refund for it to get done. Then tell them I needed to speak to the supervisor. Which the supervisor and the person above her weren't any help at all. I am beyond infuriated with the way I was treated and what could be done and with this company.
Me and my kids had to sleep in our car because the only money I had I used for the reservation that got messed up. Now I have to wait a day or more for that money back. Which again doesn't help me and my kids have a place to sleep. BEYOND LIVID WITH THIS COMPANY AND ITS PEOPLE. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN. they should have been able to do something if anything to keep my business. That's good customer service. I honestly am appalled by this company and the employees.

Booked an Airline ticket and Hotel stay through Priceline for Sept 13th-15th for an NFL game that has now been cancelled because of Covid 19. Priceline refuses a refund, realistic credit or transfer. They said the airline has to issue the refund. Contacted the Airline, and they stated that because it was a bulk fare and special pricing through Priceline, that they are responsible. Priceline keeps saying they have a policy that requires them to follow guidelines set by the Airline. The Airline states they have no such policy with Priceline. This is an act of FRAUD!!
Priceline's customer service is awful! They are liars, rude and scammers. I've used Priceline many times over the years and lately the service has been unacceptable. Not sure if it's being ran by new owners/management but I will not use them again. I have contacted the BBB, Attorney General, and the CFPB. Stay away from this company and book directly with the party you're needing or try another discounted site.

I booked a rental car with Budget car rental (through Priceline) In early June. Today, the DAY BEFORE my road trip, Budget called me to tell me they do not have the SUV I requested, nor anything like it in size - then offered me a small midsize one that couldn't possibly fit my things. Irritated with Budget, I called Priceline to request another rental company or anything at all to accommodate my need, and they said sorry, can't help you. Then I asked for a discount with the current reservation for my inconvenience and they wouldn't do that either! I then asked if they were going to hold their vendors accountable, to which the answer was no. So, I cancelled my reservation (online of course because the operator wouldn't help me with that either). FYI: Enterprise rental car customer service heard about my ordeal and offered me a discount because they felt sorry for me. I'm using them FOREVER now.

Booked a hotel during the pandemic. Due to covid 19 had to checkout early. Hotel was willing to give me a discount due to covid 19 but since my reservation was through Priceline I had to contact them for a refund. Called customer services. They basically told me, "Too bad. We can refund you." But it’s sad with this virus going around they don’t have a more flexible Refund policy. Lost me as a customer. Don’t book through Priceline.com or Priceline app. They don’t care about you or you family.

In March, prior to the explosion of COVID-19 cases, I made a reservation to pick up a car at Albany airport on August 14th on a non-refundable basis. Now, due to the increase of cases in Florida, where I will be traveling from, the Governor of NY has imposed a 14 day mandatory quarantine for people coming from Florida in addition to a $2,000.00 fine if you do not provide an address. I contacted PRICELINE to inquire about a refund based on the COVID-19 requirements set forth by NY and was told unless AVIS would agree to cancel a refund would not be possible. I then contacted AVIS, a supervisor at AVIS said they would be happy to cancel the reservation and PRICELINE has not yet transferred funds. I then contacted PRICELINE and informed them that AVIS would have no problem canceling the reservation and got a total runaround with bottom line being they will not issue a refund.
I then escalated the call to a supervisor, I was told I would receive a return phone call within the hour, 2 days later I received a return call. The supervisor stated that he would start an inquiry and I would have an answer in 10 business days. No one could have possibly anticipated the surge in COVID-19 cases or the travel restrictions. My advice is to NEVER book with PRICELINE, they don’t possess the power of reason!

I purchased a roundtrip itinerary from Chicago IL to Canton MS, (airfare, rental car and hotel) via Priceline. The plane was 15min late upon arrival to the Jackson MS airport and the rental car vendor, Budget was closed. We used Uber to our hotel and return the next morning. I requested reimbursement for my Uber trips. Priceline alerted me about the late flight. The Budget rep left earlier than normal, per airport security (I was traveling July 4th weekend, and arrived July 3rd, 9:00 pm instead of 8:45 pm). Sadly, Budget rep arrived late July 4, 2020.
Priceline Customer Service rep. Sergio, first stated he needed to speak with his supervisor, after a lengthy time, he returned to share that I need to seek reimbursement from Budget. I asked to escalate the concern and advocate to the supervisor directly and Sergio said that would not be possible. The supervisor did not have a phone and I needed to call back to speak with them. I was nearly livid, so I asked why would I call back to speak to someone who did not have a phone? I followed with I needed what he said in writing. I received the short few sentence email, replied and then forward all communication to CEO of Priceline, Brett Keller. Save yourself some heartache, DO NOT USE Priceline!!!

Do not book through them. The customer service is horrific. They have so much yellow tape that you can not accomplish anything. I have called about 15 times regarding a cancelation of a flight and no one has gotten this right calling for 4 days to achieve it. They will not allow you to make any changes as it's against a "policy" of theirs buried in the fine print. Will never ever ever use this site again, I'd rather pay more money than deal with this headache.

Once I finally got a hold of Priceline the next day..Priceline refused to refund my money. They also refused to let me speak to a manager. Ya know.... I've used Priceline for over twenty years, seriously. For most of the time, the experience had been fairly good. I tried in the early 2000's their flight booking service. TOTALLY GOT SCREWED! They actually changed my flight city like they change hotel "areas" you can book in and I didn't notice, THAT never happened again AND they never made good on what I had PRINTED OUT AS DOCUMENTATION for my flight I bid on and accepted. Even so the only thing I have been using or will use is their hotel reservation services.... until today. STICK A FORK IN ME - I AM DONE! I've had some absolutely NIGHTMARE experiences in Arizona, California with their EXPRESS DEALS. Whoever does their star rating is FULL OF B.S. They're probably paid to give the review!
The Cottonwood Arizona hotel probably got their ratings from the folks LIVING below the room we were put in (it was either a 2.5 or 3 star express deal over memorial day weekend). They were seriously smoking ** and ** (I know - they probably had a medical card but my granddaughters didn't need to see it/smell it AND NO 3 STAR HOTEL HAS PEOPLE LIVING THERE!!!). The "beautiful" pool in the express deal pictures was empty and full of palm leaves.... fun time with the grandkids. Then there's the fact that we slept in clothes on top of blankets we brought into the room and laundered before we left town as fear of bed bugs was real. I called Priceline BEGGING their help but of course...nothing they could do unless I left the hotel... AND GO WHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT? 2 WOMEN AND 2 LITTLE GIRLS???
I still keep the receipt to this hotel - it was QUALITY INN AT 301 WEST SR 89A IN COTTONWOOD ARIZONA ON 5/26/2018 to 5/28/2018. We stayed away from there as much as possible. I didn't sleep much, duh. I was shaking when I checked into a Drury Inn in Flagstaff... I've never been so happy to be back to normal in my life. Then just last August 2019 as my adult son and his friends traveled cross country on their Harley's and made an Express Deal in Barstow California. These were 3 - thirty year old guys riding their Harley's across country.... the hotel was so horrible they called me, one of their MOMS to say "GET US THE ** OUT OF HERE! NOW! PLEASE!!!" They would have had to take the bikes into the room!
There was NO WAY they were going to even sit down in that room.... the door had basically been "stapled" together with pieces of wood to hold it together and inch gaps around the windows and a/c unit that didn't work. There was mold on the baseboards in the room! (He had paid for that room on his account - a 2 star express deal in Barstow). So I paid for a Holiday Inn Express for them. They were so fearful they wouldn't even let me pay for a Holiday Inn without DRIVING BY IT FIRST at that point!
Of course, being a Holiday Inn.... it was fine and they at least did get refunded because they complained immediately and could prove that someone else had purchased a room for the same person (under my account but same person checking in) so they know they went to another hotel. But still what B.S. that places like that are even LISTED as an express deal! WHAT??? WARNING: DON'T TAKE YOUR CHANCE ON EXPRESS DEALS!!! THIS IS 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE TALKING! I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN! But then.... after tonight I'm done with priceline all together!
I made my husband and his brother reservations in Colorado for a room for 2 nights, last night and tonight. Paid for it as you do. however, they had car trouble and couldn't make it first night to the Marriott (as you can see, I take no more chances....). The Marriott was aware they would not be arriving until after midnight the first day but we had pre-paid. Oh well.
PER THE PRICELINE FAQ - "WHEN CAN I CHECK IN TO MY ROOM" it states.... "please keep in mind that while most reservations are guaranteed for late arrival, failure to arrive on the first day of your reservation (before midnight hotel time on our check-in date) may prompt the hotel to cancel your reservation if you have a multiple night reservation. Contact your hotel to let them know you will check in late". WE DID THIS. But guess what.... as my husband is trying right now to check in.... he is told by the hotel that we must contact PRICELINE and PRICELINE must call them and tell them it is ok.... WTF??? I FOLLOWED PRICELINE'S INSTRUCTIONS.
So I tried to call. The call wait is 2 hours (I am not lying). So I chatted only to be told after twenty minutes of hold and arguing over chat.... I MUST CALL. SHE CAN'T HELP ME! So currently I'm on a 2 hour call back wait now as my husband and his brother wait in the lobby of the freaking hotel that can sees their reservation that is paid in full but can't check them in until Priceline calls them and says "It's ok to check them in." OMG. I am furious! I truly pity the person that I get on this call back to me tonight! In 2 hours...so as I wait I am finding every site I can to review PRICELINE on. :)
I wish I could attach the screen shot I have of their policy of what I just quoted from their website. I wish I could download the pictures of the express deal hotel in Cottonwood Arizona that I seriously still have PTSD from.... I will NEVER use priceline again. I cannot believe I gave them as many chances as I have already.
UPDATE: I just got a call back from PRICELINE about their policy and the Colorado hotel. After arguing and screaming at the CSR at PRICELINE - she told me to hang on as she was calling MARRIOTT SPRINGHILL SUITES to tell them to check my husband into hotel - and guess what....She connected me to the hotel and not her! So I'm in another 2.5 hour wait line for another priceline call!!!! 6 hours of phone calls for their error and wrong instructions for late arrival to a hotel made under their website! STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET BENT OVER AND NOT EVEN GET TO ENJOY IT!

3rd birthday ruined by Priceline. They overbooked me twice and once I got to the hotel was told they actually didn't have room for me. Once in Ocean shores, WA and the other in Tacoma, WA. This time I paid online but Priceline did not disclose that once I got to the hotel I would have to pay another deposit which I didn't have the money for. There was no way to reach customer service. The phone number won't let you stay on hold. The chat just glitches. There was no other way to contact them to get a refund for a room I couldn't stay in because of the deposit policy. It is better to just book directly with the hotel. Priceline has consistently just been about the bottom dollar with no regard to how or who is effected.

My wife used Trivago to find a good rate for a hotel I need. Trivago showed a rate that Priceline was advertising $98/night, so she clicked on that. By the time she got to booking the room the price had jumped up to $114/night. We stopped the booking and checked again and sure enough it was $114 now. She booked it anyway. After booking. She looked back at the starting place where the rooms and prices are listed. Lo and behold the exact same room was then $77/night. So she called to tell Priceline and was told they would call back in 20min. (No choice but to leave your # or call back in the week.)
In the meantime the price changed *again* to $96/night and you will see in the screenshot of it that it says the price was just dropped from $146/night to $96! By the time the clerk got on, it had changed to $105/night. I told her we have a screen shot of every price that was offered but they can't accept emails (how convenient for them) and when she checked like I said it was at $105/night and that's what they go by, is what they see at that time. I told her it isn't fair because by the time I could talk to her about the lowest rate, the price had changed again. She said it is fair. I said, "How can it be fair if I can't email you a screen shot to prove I saw it at $77/night and by the time I could talk to you it changed again." I said it was very convenient for her employers to make money this way. She hung up on me.
What it appears is Priceline changes their prices very often either purposely so you get stuck with a higher rate then can't change it or I guess it's normal that a room rate changes every 5 minutes for the exact same room. (Seems suspicious.) So if you see a higher rate, wait until you see it drop because by the time you call in and talk to someone the price changes again so you can't claim the "lowest price guarantee".

Upon them calling back and waking me up just to find out I was at the wrong hotel. They refused to refund my money and I told them if they responded to me in a resealable amount of time I could have gone to the correct hotel which apparently was just down the road. 2 of the same hotels in the same area, like I was suppose to know that. The person on the online chat said that it might have been a glitch in the system, however could not do anything for me. And she said I could not get a full refund even though I had booked it approximately 10 minutes prior. I've never written a negative review of a company before, but this experience was so atrocious I felt compelled to let others know so you can avoid the same experience I had. I booked a car rental through Priceline, supplied by Dollar Rental Car. After I booked, the state where I was traveling to updated their travel restrictions due to COVID, and I was no longer able to travel there. I contacted Priceline to cancel and they refused. I contacted Dollar, and they said their policy was to cancel the reservation with no fee, and that all they needed was for Priceline to contact them to do so.
Priceline refused to contact Dollar. I called Dollar again, and they said they'd never heard of such a thing and regularly received calls from Priceline to cancel reservations. At this point I'm suspicious of something fraudulent going on at Priceline where they're trying to avoid having to cancel reservations that the rental car agencies would happily cancel. I'm still embroiled in trying to get this resolved, but suffice it to say I'll never use Priceline's services again. Instead I'll go directly through the rental car agency.

This confused me as Priceline.com had sent me an email reminding me of our upcoming trip. They told us to have fun and asked if I wanted to rent a car. This booking was done in mid May. We were unable to reach a tone at the actual hotel so we reached out to Priceline.com.
Left our number to get into a callback cue. Two hours later, Georgette, from the Customer Service Centre called. After explaining the situation she put me on hold to call the Wyndham property to verify that the hotel was indeed closed and that I hadn't made the whole thing up. When she came back I asked what kind of compensation was going to be offered to me. She said that the cancellation fee was going to be waived and that my purchase price would be credited to my account (credit card) within 1-2 business days.
I explained that the cancellation fee should not even be something relevant as I was not cancelling, I was stiffed. The operator told me nothing more could be done beyond that. Priceline charged me an extra $44.94 than what the hotel would have. I called Priceline to get reimbursed the $44.94 and they told me that the price they advertise is not always the same price as the hotels. Isn't Priceline SUPPOSED to get the rates from the hotels at a discounted rate????
They told me it was my choice as to who I wanted to book through, them or the hotel directly. They would not reimburse my $44.94. They said IF I had called 24 hours BEFORE check in that they would have reimbursed it. WTF.... How would I have even known WHAT the hotel rates were going to be 24 hours BEFORE I even checked in, SINCE I BOOKED THROUGH PRICELINE? I obviously would not have known what the hotel charges per night, UNTIL I checked out and got the summary of charges. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH PRICELINE. THEY ARE THIEVES.

I have been an avid user of Priceline; that will change after today. My husband booked a flight/rental car package through Priceline. He received multiple confirmations from them via email, including one just hours before his scheduled flight departure. Imagine his shock when he got to the airport to find the carrier (Alaska Airlines) not only said they didn't have his reservation, but that they wouldn't honor his confirmation # and TICKET number that he had been issued. That was bad, but it got worse when the Priceline customer service people couldn't do anything to resolve the confusion. They weren't able to hold their carrier to the reservation, and though they offered to look for other flights, they said there weren't any. No one explained or answered any questions about why the mix-up happened.
Then, they had the nerve to tell my husband that he would have to contact the rental car company AND the airline to cancel his return flight--for a trip he was not able to go on because they didn't make sure he got on the plane (a seat for which he had a ticket number). He has been on the phone and email for over 4 hours, trying to get a "real" person to help him at least get a refund. He is still waiting for a callback. This is more than disappointing--the "discount" aspect of Priceline is not worth the risk from now on. I will book direct so that at least if there's a problem, I can get a person to help who is directly connected to my reservation.

They will keep you on hold for an hour and then say thank you for being a customer just to hang up on you! What a joke. I have reservations already paid for for my trip and those have no refund. What a joke. How to proceed? I am still working on 5 hours later. Still no resolution to nothing! I spent an additional $92 Ubering to and from the airport where I was supposed to get my car. I called the hotel manager and she assured me that I had cancelled within their 24-hour timeframe and was not charged at her hotel. Zero Star rating. I booked a Trip on A 3 day notice through Priceline. Flights, Thrifty rental car and hotel. When I was using the computer to book A Priceline pop up for a 100 dollars off if you registered for their credit card came up. I signed up because I thought I would lose my reservation. But instead my computer updated and changed over my car rental information to my name. When we arrived at Thrifty at 9pm to pick up the car we could not because the credit card was in my husband's name and the reservation in my name. We were told To call Priceline. We called 10 times, received the same recording, "We are sorry. We can not take your call. It will be a 4 hour wait."
When Pam called us back at 2 am we informed her of what happened. She told us we would receive a cancelation fee for not picking up the car or cancelling in 24 hours. We informed her of the mix up but Pam had no knowledge of a pop up for a credit card sign up on the website. She transferred us to her Manager Clover who informed us we do not get any of our money back and they will not update the computer with my husband's name so we can not rent a car. She informed me it was my fault because it is in the agreement the person booking name must match the credit card name. Even though my husband was there.
To make matters worse Pam continued to call us all night long Because we called 10 times hoping someone would answer. Pam and Clover I am convinced are the only ones who work here. I believe the time zones are different therefore they could not call back even though the website stars 24 hour service. I am currently out 700 dollars and no car rental. Buyer Beware. Please never make the same mistake my fiance and I made and NEVER book airline tickets with Priceline! They royally screwed us over BIG TIME. These people are so incompetent... I was on the phone for the last 3 hours, on and off with 4 different agents. None of them could explain to me why my fiance didn't seem to be scheduled for any flight leaving on June 23rd! WTF?!?!
He called them on April 17th to reschedule his original one-way flight for April 19th to June 23rd. They did that. Cool. Never sent him a confirmation email with the updated flight info. Brett thought that was odd, so a couple days ago he decided to call them to find out what the deal was. They told him the airline cancelled the original flight he was rescheduled for, and that he would now have a layover in Chicago.... okay cool, fine.... He asked them to send him a confirmation email for that flight.... they sent him the EXACT same itinerary from his April 19th flight!!! Nothing about a June 23rd flight!!!
So I had him send me all of his info since he was about to go to sleep, and I tried to get answers on my own.... They were telling me apparently there was an error with the rebooking.... The server malfunctioned or something to that effect. And they didn't think it would be prudent to contact him and let him know that?!?! Then tonight they tell me they are trying to find him a replacement flight... the original flight with the Chicago layover is all filled up. And because the ticket was with United, they can only rebook with United. All of the other flights are later flights and don't get here until later.
THEN they tell me they found an open seat on the flight they just told me was all filled up... but it would be "more expensive" OMFG.... THIS IS THEIR MISTAKE!!!! THEY SHOULD BE OFFERING TO COVER THE PRICE DIFFERENCE!!!! The price difference was over $1,000. I cussed them out, basically told them thanks for absolutely nothing and ended the conversation. Had a complete meltdown and cried hysterically for about 20 minutes.... Then pulled myself together and just bought him a new ticket with Delta using Hopper instead. Saved over $700. They select a hotel for you and take your money before you can opt out or cancel and then refuse to give you a refund, let you select another hotel, or cancel the reservations. Once you book you even get a notice saying you can cancel this reservation by said date. However when I called to complain and to change the hotel they refused completely. We purchased a China southern flight through Priceline and I've had THE worst experience with their customer service department in processing my refund request for the flight that was't "used" due to the pandemic. After contacting them numerous times (over 20 times now), providing all the supporting documents and hold times of over 50 hours, they have yet to process my refund request that I am entitled to. I contacted the airlines directly and after looking into flight details, they even said that I am entitled to a full refund but I have to go through priceline and they will provide them with a waiver code to process the refund.
Every time I call, either no one calls me back or if I get hold of someone, they transfer me to different department and/or say that they are working on it and they will let me know. And then again, no follow up. International flights aren't cheap and I don't think that big companies like these should be holding on to their customer's money. I never write reviews but I am so upset and frustrated and I am not sure where to turn. I believe this is just fraud. If I could give them a 0/5 or even a negative number out of 5, I would but one thing is for sure... I will never ever use priceline again. This is beyond long hold/wait times in the setting of this pandemic. This is about big companies not being truthful and stealing our money from us hardworking people. Just sad!!!!

This company is fraudulent I believe. They owe me $867.82 and I have been ignored, blown-off, very long hold times, loads of telephone hang ups, and for many months a “round around”. Booked airline travel with them months ago had to cancel because of Covid, impossible to enter Indonesia at that time. Lion Air’s CEO stated on their website that they would refund money IN FULL, but that I had to go through Priceline. This has gone on for several months now. I’ve waited months to hear back from the executives even. Just a cheating company. Rented a car. On confirmation page printed "Can be cancelled until pickup time." After I confirmed the rental, I saw a different terms and conditions that said "no refunds or cancellations." First page referred only to collision insurance. Completely misleading. Then because of coronavirus had travel cancelled. Priceline sent a note to travelers promising to "work with" them in changing arrangements. But they were not answering their phones, did not respond to email, and an SMS to them returned "Service Denied." There are lots of alternatives, like Rentalcars.com that offer equal or better pricing and have decent, fair, and accessible rules.

Priceline is the worst company ever with poor customer service. I booked a hotel through their app and when I arrived to check in, I was told by the agent at the front desk he was not able to honor my reservations and turned me away. I immediately called Priceline and brought it to their attention. The Priceline agent called the hotel and was informed that the reason I was turned away was because I was not an essential worker. I informed the agent that I was an essential worker and even had a letter from my employer to prove it.
So, I asked to speak to a supervisor because the agent was not able to further help me. The supervisor came on the line and I explained the situation to him. He ended up calling the hotel to find out additional info. So, the supervisor found out that I have to be a medical essential worker in order to stay at the property. I asked him to help relocate me to another property in the area and asked for a coupon to go towards my new booking he declined my request.
So, I asked to speak with his boss. She was just as bad. I spent over an hour on the phone with these guys and had to beg them to help me find another property and for a coupon for the inconvenience. In the end the manager offered me a 5% off coupon for all my troubles. I told her to keep that 5% and disconnected the call.
There was a sister property next door, so I drove over and asked the agent was he accepting essential workers and he replied yes. I asked him if it was medical only, and he replied no. I also called other properties and found out that there was a memo sent to all of the properties stating that they were allowed to book rooms to all essential works. In the end, I ended up booking a room right next door at the sister property. I feel Priceline could have been more accommodating and knowledgeable about restrictions at certain properties during this pandemic.

No one was in parking lot but me and my 93 year old parents. There was a walk up window that no one was at and no one was in office. I could see through the bullet proof glass. Homeless people living on side of building and it was filthy on the outside with smoke stained curtains visible from outdoors. Called Priceline. Told them told them we feared for our life. No one was there. They kept me on phone over 1 hour trying to call hotel themselves. Even questioned me, "What do you mean doors are locked." They were locked!!!!
I had a non refundable room but I explained it was unacceptable and I couldn’t stay where homeless people were living outside. I was transferred to 4 agents to try and get me rebooked only to be told, "Sorry no refund. No we will not book you anywhere else." Hotel answered phone after 1 hour of me waiting on phone. We booked our room through Priceline. They choose a hotel for us out of three and we’re supposed to get a great deal. We arrived at the Radisson Nashville downtown and checked in with all luggage. The first thing we noticed was the 2nd floor really smelled once we were off the elevator. We got into our room to find it stinks like mildew. We immediately went downstairs and told Grace, the girl at the front desk, that our room was smelly. She apologized and we left to find another room.
When we contacted Priceline about our room problem, we were notified that Radisson refused to give us a refund of over $200 and reported us as a “No show”. We then called the hotel and spoke to Grace. She said we could’ve stayed in another room. We said, "You should’ve told us that before we left and booked another hotel". Not only does this place stink.. They are stealing $214.00 for a two night stay that we didn’t stay. We called Priceline back and pleaded with them to give us our money back. They refused saying it’s nonrefundable. We asked Priceline why would they send us to a hotel that was nasty. Why don’t you back up your customers when the hotel is not as described? All we got was nothing. Priceline said leave a review that it doesn’t matter. We will never use Priceline again. They need to be reported for stealing along with all the hotels that steal our money. Really sad and Priceline destroyed our trip to Nashville.

I had no problem canceling through Priceline.... but where did my credit go that Priceline said I had one year to use? Appears to have been lost. When I called in to use it, the young man said, "Oh sorry it has already expired." I informed him that I just canceled and that I had one year to use. After 15 minutes on hold he told me he found it. Hmmmm it was expired and now it is found. He then explained to me that I could only book a new flight with the credit between 4 in the morning and 6 in the morning on July 1st, the date of my original flight or I would have to pay penalty charges. So I have two hours to rebook but I have to book on July 1st between those hours. I said to him, "Do you think this makes any sense." He said that was West Jet's policy. Long story short... I called West Jet, they found my canceled flight and rebooked me another flight with no hassles. Thanks you West Jet.... Shame on you Priceline for not training your employees better.

We have followed all of the instructions we were given, including contacting United directly for the first leg of the trip. West Jet was not on the list of airlines we needed to contact directly and had to fill out a "cancellation form" and completed this in early Mid March. Did not receive confirmation of the cancellation of the first leg (through United) until the beginning of April and it still does not show up on the website via "my trips". We have yet to receive a confirmation of the second leg of our trip from Priceline.
Have called multiple times to try to resolve this situation, and each time have had over an hour wait. I did cue for a call back so as to not be on hold the entire time. However, in the first instance when I received a callback, the caller could barely speak English and then hung up on me in mid conversation about the issue. Today, the fifth time, I did not receive a call back from earlier this morning and am now waiting on a call back from my sixth attempt.
And in the mean time, they've changed my itinerary so much I can't even recognize my original trip. The credit card company said their hands were tied and that all that was left for me was small claims court. We paid for a service we were not able to use due to no fault of our own. Priceline took advantage of the situation. Would it have hurt them financially to let us use our auto rental during a time when there wasn't a pandemic? I am flabbergasted. I can't understand this at all. I will never use them again and if I were you. When given a chance to be ethical they clearly chose not to.

I booked a trip using Priceline for my Baby Shower. But due to Covid-19 I had my trip had to be rescheduled. The agent that rescheduled my trip sounded very incompetent and was unsure of a lot of things but after being on the phone for over an hour my trip was rescheduled.
The next day I got a notice from my bank saying that I was charged a second time from Priceline. I immediately contacted them and for the past month they have BS'n me on processing a refund. They see telling me they are researching the cause which is not my problem because they made a mistake. I also recommended my friends to use them. Now due to the Corona crisis, I had to cancel my flight and I tried to reach out to them for 2 weeks/everyday before my flight day, every time same message that they have high volume of calls so "we are only helping people whose flights are in next 3 days." Ok so day before the flight I finally was able to talk to them and they said, "We can only cancel or request refund at least 3 days before the flight." ** Monkey business.
2nd time I again had to reach out for my friend today, he got sick by Corona Virus and I was calling on behalf of him to cancel or get voucher refund. They just simply saying, "Reach out to the airlines, we can't do anything." And she was very rude. And she hang up the phone. Priceline charges the same amount that airline charge plus they take a 12 to 15 dollar fees. My point of selling the same ticket when you cannot simply behave and make request to the airline. I tried to just get a credit, not a refund and was shot down twice stating some fine print in the agreement I signed when I paid said No refunds. Priceline states on the website, if your flight was canceled and rental car agency allows it, the reservation can be canceled and refunded. Starting a month before travel they took away the ability to cancel online and put up some misleading messages and greyed the cancel links.
We all hoped this would resolve itself quickly at first, but it turned out to be worse. Well, after three calls beginning 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the reservation date to Priceline, the CSRs and managers would not cancel and provide a refund. The facts were ignored. The hotel's accounting office told me that since I booked through Priceline, that they would have to reimburse Priceline and then Priceline would need to reimburse my credit card.
Now, Priceline claims that they will not reimburse my credit card because they are unable to reach the accounting office at the hotel to verify that I should receive a refund. I understand that part of the deal about PriceLine is that you get special deals for being locked into a reservation. However, given the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, they should reverse this and allow cancellations for everything. I made a reservation for a hotel, and whenever I go to cancel, it says to check back later and maybe I'll be able to cancel. I realize that some of this has to do with the hotel itself, but surely Priceline can lean on the hotels involved and highly "encourage" them to be willing to do a refund now, and not force customers to keep checking back in so they can finally maybe get their money back. I realize that hotels are having a hard time right now, but so is everybody else, and I don't think it's right for them to hold people's money hostage just because they can.

Let me first start out by saying I am/was an avid Priceline user. I would spend thousands of dollars using them. They allure of “priceline VIP” pricing and “Mobile Deal” always got me to choose them. DO NOT LET THIS GLAMOUR FOOL YOU. They are crooks. The customer service is absolutely terrible, and recently I just found out that they don’t care about their customers. They are a commission based company that care only about the dollar they can make off you.
On March 22nd I booked a room off Priceline for the Marriott Detroit Metro Airport and my card was charged, and my confirmation print out said “paid in full”. When I got to the property the Marriott had not a single clue as to what I was talking about. They did not receive any funds from Priceline. So here I am, with a line as long as one at an amusement park trying to explain that I had paid already, showed my evidence… all to no avail.
After about hours of trying to pull together enough money for what turned out to cost less than what Priceline charged me I finally was able to get in to my room. By then it was so late and having missed my conference call I had to reschedule it for the following day thus spending another 1/2 day rate at $75 the following day just so I could work. I missed my flight which wast too bad on pricing right now and had to stay with a friend in the next town over, due to the fact that because of this mess I no longer had the funds to afford anywhere to stay. The inconvenience of it all was what really upset me.
Today March 24th I called Priceline and told them the story, they called the property and they basically told me that I had paid for my stay. I paid for my stay with Priceline on one card, and paid for the exact same stay with a separate card because this isn’t the first time that this has happened. This exact same thing happened to me in Feb. 2020. I paid Priceline, they were supposed to pay hotel and never did, got to the hotel and the hotel said there was nothing they could do and that I had to pay them directly. That incident took me exactly 30 days to get my funds back on my PayPal card. Priceline called in an “authorization hold”. I called PayPal and they told me that they sent a “courtesy email to them to drop the hold.” But did not release the hold for 30 days.
These are scary times to be completely honest, With this corona-virus taking hold of the world and our economy shattered, it is unfair that companies like Priceline will take advantage of people for a quick buck. It is un American yet sadly in a way, the American way. Something needs to be done, I cannot afford another 30 days to receive my funds back. I have not only wasted my hard earned money during this debacle but my time, my work and my family was affected by this debacle. Priceline or booking.com whichever you go by, Should be ashamed of yourselves.
Speaking with multiple hotel chain customer service individuals I feel obliged to give anyone who takes the time to read this review this advice: DO NOT EVER BOOK THROUGH PRICELINE. There is a website called looknofurther.com and (at least Marriott, Westin, Sheraton, etc) will pricematch anything pricelinee ‘promises’. The conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 rules of no gatherings of over 50 people 3 days after I bought my flight. I called Priceline immediately to cancel my flight and was told if my flight was not in 72 hours then I would not receive a callback and to call when it is 72 hours or less away.

At this point my flight was less than 24 hours away so I put in an online cancel request. I received a phone call at 8:30pm on March 17th, 12 hours before my flight. I was told by the Priceline representative that I could not get a refund for my flight even though there are travel bans and a virus spreading across the United States. The rep said all I could get was a credit toward the airline the flight was for until 12/31/2020. I told the rep that I purchased the flight on a business card as it is a business trip and this is the only trip the business expenses each year so there would not be another flight scheduled in 2020. I will probably stop using them going forward and advise others to be aware of their poor customer service practices.

(Front desk Clerk) She tells Me they're replacing all the doors etc. I asked someone else. They say the doors have been like that for a Year or More. Also I needed another stay for 1 night and Priceline said the Hotel was BOOKED (Which was a LIE). THE ONLY GREAT THING THAT I LIKED IS CRACKER BARREL IS NEXT DOOR.. I called the hotel myself and they said they spoke to Priceline and told them that I could cancel the reservation!!! They’ve been telling them that all day. This lady said the hotels website had no travel restrictions! I asked her what state she lives in and then that is when she hung up on me!!! Priceline is lying and everyone needs to know that. The hotel staff was rude and they wanted to charge me more money because of the three additional people, and they gave me a hard time about allowing the kids to eat the complimentary breakfast that they offer. When trying to call priceline there was a wait time for a call back that exceeded 24 hours. When called back I was told that there would be no refund for services I purchased that they did not provide. I am priceline's customer not the customer of the hotel that is engaging in deceptive practices as well, in my opinion. I would not only not recommend priceline but am also contacting and researching every regulatory agency and the BBB. They should be held accountable for this.

We were happy to book our vacation with you, looking forward to a necessary escape from our demanding jobs and lives, we didn't ask for this to happen, but drastic times call for drastic measures. Contacted Priceline to advise of the situation and cancel my reservations. They refused and lied to me several times. Saying Best Western refused to cancel. However, apparently this does not allow you to cancel the reservation, despite it not being clear anywhere on the website that this is the case. First, Priceline showed NextCar Rental as being onsite at the Miami Intl airport. They were not. NextCar said that upon returning the car, we would be dropped off at the departures entrance. We were not. They tried to get us to pay $25 per day for a transponder to navigate toll roads. We refused the transponder. They offered us insurance (at exorbitant rates). We declined, as we had our own insurance. We were obliged to provide proof of insurance. We did.
Regardless, they did not honor the quoted Priceline price. Instead, because we declined their insurance, they tacked on a $5.99 per day surcharge. We appealed through Priceline. Priceline simply told us, “Sorry, it’s your problem.” We have since initiated a dispute with the credit card company. We are certainly never going to rent from NextCar again. Most likely we will never book anything through Priceline again. Sorry, but Priceline, by publishing false information on its website and then refusing to back us up, is a complete betrayal of trust.

I would NOT recommend making Hertz car rental through Priceline. My event was cancelled due to Coronavirus, and I simply need to cancel my reservation. Calling Hertz directly (which is what Priceline instructs you to do), they refuse to take any cancellations on reservations made through Priceline. They gave *direct* help lines to Priceline. The first was just an AD for a cruise, which hung up on me when I answered NO. The second and third numbers use an automated system to recognize your phone number, match your reservation, and automatically connect you to: HERTZ!
What an efficient run around! I was finally connected to the service line after repeating "operator" at the automated system, only to be told I would be called back in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, I got a call back, I mentioned I would like to cancel my rental car reservation, and the service rep was about to transfer me back to Hertz, but my "NO NO NO Wait!" caught her, and I told her they said Priceline had to make the cancellation. I was put on hold for 5 minutes, and finally told that this had to be escalated, and I would have an answer in 48 to 72 hours.
This is completely nuts. There was nothing special about my reservation at all, but it everyone was acting as if this was the first time someone has tried to cancel a Hertz reservation made via Priceline. I have to believe they are simply giving me the run around trying to avoid the cancellation. DO NOT make Hertz reservation through Priceline, if anything happens their computerized phone systems and service reps will spin you until you fall over senseless. Crossing my fingers for 72 hours.

The end result was that I had to rent a car at the airport, resulting in 1: paying an extra $78 for insurance over what Priceline had quoted me and 2: wasting an hour and a half getting a new rental car. This resulted in my having to drive in the dark (which I don't even do in my hometown, much less a foreign country with poor street signs and poorer lighting. The first Priceline rep told me that he talked to Disney directly and said it was impossible to add another guest and that I had to book another hotel room for that guest. I spoke to Disney myself who said that this was common procedure and happens all the time and that it was 100% possible to add a guest. Disney explained that since I booked through Priceline, it was Priceline that had to authorize this. I then spoke to several more Priceline customer service reps over the course of several hours who all said that this was impossible, it was my fault, and overall gave me a huge attitude about the situation.

Priceline is the worst company I have dealt with in recent memory, perhaps ever. I booked a room for my wife at the beginning of March, at the end of January and received immediate confirmation that I had a room. Two weeks prior to the trip my wife called the hotel to ask for two beds as she is going with a friend. The hotel had zero record of us. We call Priceline, they verify with the hotel that there is zero record of us and they promise to resolve the issue in 4-7 business days. On Saturday I get an e-mail to confirm that they have gotten us a reservation with a new confirmation number. I call the hotel to confirm this reservation number and the hotel has that reservation, but it's for a different person, on a different day.
So again I call Priceline and they tell me the department that handles this situation is closed and that they will look at the issue on Monday. At 1:00PM on Monday, having not heard anything, I call in again and they tell me that they were unable to confirm the reservation and that they have a note to call on Wednesday. (2 days before the check-in date) I tell them this is unacceptable, and they attempt to confirm the room for a 5th time and, SURPRISE, are unable to do so. I'm promised a resolution by the following day. That evening, getting nervous, I simply ask for a refund and they tell me they're unable to refund me because it has to be confirmed by the hotel that has zero record of me. All the while the customer services representatives are unable to send me any documentation that they're having a problem.
This company at best has no idea what they're doing and they have not evolved from the late 90s whenever they got their start. At worst they know exactly what they're doing and they make sure to not give you any information that could be used as evidence for a charge back. NEVER use them. I would recommend taking a cardboard box with you and sleeping in that before I'd recommend trying to book a hotel with this company.

The hotel I chose was 10 minutes from the area I am visiting and now I will be staying over 10 miles away and I am being forced to use transportation to get to my locations. They were rude in handling my response to change it to the hotel I chose and I made the request within 5 minutes of booking it. This is a crap site and I warn everyone they will take your money and then say they cannot help you make changes. This booking cost me $1000 and it is nowhere close to where I need to be. NEVER USE THIS SITE FOR ANYTHING!!!!

I liked Priceline, They said that I am the VIP customer and I believe what they are saying. However, when I found a better price from Hoteltonight.com, they do not guarantee the lowest price. The reason why they can not refund because Hoteltonight.com allows one room per booking. Therefore, the conditions are different from what I booked with Priceline. If I book a room two times through Hoteltonight.com, If I had booked a room two times with Priceline. I think that logic is the same. Do you think that Priceline can say guarantee the lowest price?

I found a "Pricebreaker" deal on Priceline.com. I thought the deal was great. It gave me a flat rate and after I paid, it would tell me which of the three hotel I would be staying at. I proceeded to put in my card (debt) information, and submit my payment. When I submitted, I received a page saying that the "deal was no longer available". Which at first I was a bit irritated, but I figured I would just go look for another deal. Anyways, I tried to book another hotel and my card declined saying "insufficient funds". Well turns out my account was charged for the Pricebreaker that was no longer available. I did not receive a booking confirmation email, nor did the trip show up under "my trips". After reaching out to customer service I will be refunded within 5-7 days. Which is still extremely inconvenient, as I will not be able to book a hotel until my card is refunded... which my options were already slim to start with. I will not be booking through priceline again.

Booked a trip and my husband got very ill. Called Priceline to find out how to file an insurance claim. Phone rep asked me why and I told him. He said he was sorry my husband was sick but he could help me and cancel my hotel and flight, Great! Asked if there was anything I needed to do and was told no that I would still be charged for the insurance and tax. I assumed this was all taking care of until I get a friendly reminder from Affirm that my first payment on our trip was due in a week. Was planning to pay whole thing off because it shouldn’t be much since the trip was cancelled.
After verifying amount owed I find out they never canceled the flight. Called Priceline after talking to many people and being disconnected a couple of times. Find out that they never canceled the flight because I needed to call airlines and request a voucher. Well at the end of my conversation with Priceline I was told everything was cancelled so I believed them, no one bothered to contact me and tell me different. Talked to a Fred and he was going to pull phone conversation and told me to call back in two days.
Called back. Spoke with 4 people. Finally gentleman told me that he had talked with affirm (billing company) and they wanted to speak with me directly so he was transferring me. Transferred me to a recorded message saying office is closed and had been closed. Who did he talk to then that wanted to talk to me? Another lie!! Called back. Asked to speak to a supervisor. She went over everything again, told me she was going to call airline directly and ask for a refund or voucher and call me back and I still have heard nothing.

Booked airfare and travel insurance through Priceline. Forced to change plans, discovered I need personalized coverage vs the package provided. Ok no problem. Called airline to deal with the issue. No can do, Priceline does not allow it. Ok fine. Call Priceline, can only change the date or lose the money. Paid an extra $360 on a $560 flight just to do this. Guess what? Priceline failed to pay the airline! I end up standing at the check-in on the phone hoping the technician can figure it out. Half an hour later and the airline just takes care of it and Priceline gets to keep the extra! They suggest I stay on the phone to get a refund but, alas, because the airline sucked it up the Priceline technician ends up too confused to understand 'cause (from his screen) ** magic.

I was shopping for car rental deal online when I came a cross a good rate from priceline.com. For 2 weeks van rental, I was quoted $1092.24. When I arrived at Thrifty at Midway airport on Dec 21st, the person at the counter did not honor the rate I showed him from Priceline and he wrote the contract for $1368.62. Since I was with a family and got luggage, I had to take it hoping I can talk to customer service at priceline to resolve the dispute.
As of January 4th, I have been in touch with priceline through email and then a call, but the issue has not been resolved and they are just giving me the run around. I also wanted to note here that Thrifty Car Rental gave me an old Van with 42K miles that did not drive like a new car especially in winter time with all the snow we get in the MidWest. This is going to be my last attempt to use these 2 companies as they seem they do not care about the customer's rights and time wasted trying to resolve the issue. I strongly recommend staying away from Thrifty Car Rental first, then priceline as even their customer service do not seem keen trying to honor their quote and then take it with Thrifty. Priceline Trip Number: **.

We contacted Priceline for a rental car in Honolulu on our vacation. They sent us to this rental place called Economy and when we got there their information was different than my receipt that I had, and showed some discrepancies as far as return time. I set it for 9 pm as our flight left at 10 pm. I would drop it off by 8 pm was my intent.
They said my drop off had to be at noon, which would have left us at the airport for 10 hours. My receipt clearly says I get the car till 9 pm. I told them to cancel the transaction because priceline says "zero charge before pickup." They said so what, we will charge you anyway regardless of what priceline said. So they charged us 40 dollars more for the extra 9 hours. The original price for 6 days was 181.00. That is 20% more for only 5% of the time. Additionally, the car is all dented up, we took video to protect ourselves.
We are taking it back today after 1 day and and they said no refund, but will not do business with crooks. So much for a Waikiki vacation. This place is a real armpit btw, been to Maui and it was nice. This is like going to Stockton California for a vacation. High crime, dirty, and everyone rips you off. Then I called priceline, and they said they coudn't do nothing. We're old, with heart condition, and the guys at the rental were very rude and intimidating. Never again.

I made reservations through Priceline phone number off their own website (but company who picks up the phone is a middle man called Getaroom.com). The only request I made was that the a hotel HAD to be Hilton affiliated. I checked in and noticed many issues not typical for Hilton affiliated hotels like down wifi which I needed in order to work. I go back to the front desk and ask, "Is this a hotel Hilton affiliated?" They told me that they were not. I then called Priceline back on same number I used to make the reservation and I received the run around from someone that was telling me I could be reimbursed, but I had to first go to the local 7eleven to purchase a gift card in which they would then reimburse me through the card. Basically this was an obvious scam.
I called back till I finally spoke to someone who seemed to be Priceline associate. They tell me that I can not be reimbursed because I agreed to a non refundable booking. I said yes I agreed to a non refundable booking to a HILTON affiliated hotel; rep said this is a Hilton affiliated booking and I agreed. Instead I was wrongly booked into a hotel I did not ask for.
In the end, I was not refunded my money even though I pursued a refund through endless channels for 5 months. They strung me along till finally they claim they can't make refund. Indeed they made the mistake but they're the middle man. Hotel doesn't want to give up the money nor Priceline. Everyone pointed fingers. No one was held accountable for the incorrect booking. I ended up paying for the run down dump of a hotel and a Hilton affiliated hotel since I needed wifi. I called AMEX and they booked me asap. I paid twice, for the scam and a proper Hilton Hotel, and I never stayed one night at the hotel Getaroom.com/priceline booked me. I will never recommend or use their services.

My reservation was cancelled with my airline due to a missed flight. On my reservation, it specifically said to call Priceline with any questions or issues. I did, and they informed me that they would do nothing to help me reschedule or resolve my reservation, and that I needed to contact the airline myself and file any complaint with them. When I provided Priceline with written proof from the airline that they would approve a refund, given that the booking agency filed the request (aka Priceline), they did nothing, kept me on hold for half an hour, and then sent me a vague email saying once again that I needed to go talk to the airline.
Priceline is only good as a search engine. NEVER book through them. No dispute will ever get resolved and it will only make matters worse to try to involve them. I'm now in a battle between my credit card company, Priceline and the airline (Lufthansa) to try to resolve a $1200 cancellation without a refund. The savings you find through Priceline are not worth the terrible losses you will incur by booking through them!

I booked a flight on Priceline, and I read their price match policy beforehand. They failed to refund me and refused to follow their own policy. Customer service manager was also very rude and still will not let me escalate my claim. Horrible experience and I will never book through them again!
