I was going on trip in Mexico so I put a car rental reservation on Priceline for 7 days at a total cost of $151. I thought it was a great price but I sure was wrong. When I got to Mexico, I looked around for the car rental place but it was nowhere to be found. On my reservation it said that the car rental was in the airport. I looked around, I called the place but on the reservation, it had the wrong phone number and address. I tried calling priceline but the wait for 2 hours. So I left my number for a call back and I continue using google.

After an hour or so I found a phone number for it. I called it and they told me that they weren't located at the airport but near it. They will send a car to pick me up. After they picked me up we left to NU car rental. When I got to the front desk the lady look at my reservation and said that they only have manual cars. I told them I needed an automatic car. Then she told me I could upgrade because they don't have any more in the car size I rented. I ask how much was the rented and she told me it was $400. I was shocked, because it was a lot more than I expected. So I called Priceline again. I waited another hour before I could get in touch with someone. Priceline rep told me that they could not upgrade me because they only reserve the car and anything else will be up to the car rental. Additionally, I could not get my money back because it a non-refundable. So I would be out $150 either way.

WAY TO SCAM PEOPLE PRICELINE!!! I paid for the upgrade, which was an extra $400 + insurance + holding fees. When I was about to leave a older gentleman told me, "How much did they take from you?" I told him I had to pay an extra $400. He told me "lucky you, they charged me an extra $700." Thanks Priceline for helping NU Car rental scam people. Even their employees asked us how much did we get scammed. *Priceline if you are reading this word of advice, GO LOOK AT YOUR PARTNERSHIP LOCATION BEFORE YOU DEAL WITH THEM.** I would not recommend Priceline or NU Car rental.

I booked a hotel stay in a 2 bedroom suite. It was advertised as a 2 bedroom suite but when I got to the hotel they didn't even have that type of suite on the premises. It actually was 2 separate hotel rooms. It was only due to the Hotel's General Manager doing everything she could that we even got rooms next to each other. I showed the Manager the site's description of the supposed suite & she was upset because it was offering a suite that her Hotel doesn't offer. She said she was going to have to contact them to take it down. The Manager & staff were terrific and went out of their way to make up for Priceline's advertising.

In December 2019 we got tickets for the Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh, PA and we booked a hotel through Tickets at work which went through Priceline for the better deal for the one night we planned to stay after the concert. Well of course the pandemic hit and concert was cancelled so I have been going back and forth with the hotel and tickets at work and even Priceline since they were the person they used to get my money back for the hotel since everything was shut down at the time the concert would have went on. The hotel has been wonderful through the whole process and even released my money back to Priceline since September 2020.

Priceline refuses to give my money back to me and even when I go through tickets at work they keep coming back and telling me the Priceline keeps denying to refund my money. I will no longer use tickets at work or Priceline since all they care about is making money rather than helping come up with a solution even if it is not refunding my money but to let me use the night for another time!!!

I made a reservation for a hotel on Priceline, selected to pay on check-in and change my reservation. They charged me the day before my credit card statement was due without my knowledge incurring interest fees, told me they didn't have proof of my selection and therefore would not fix the problem and that I would have to call the hotel. Upon calling the hotel I found out my reservation was unchangeable on top of charging me pretty much right away. So I am out an extra $50, half my party has nowhere to stay for the event we are going to and will probably have to pay even more money for Priceline's theft. The entire time I dealt with customer service they tried to get me to get off the phone and said it wasn't their fault they screwed up my plans that have been made months in advance. It is cheaper, and way more efficient to shoot yourself in the head than deal with this crap company.

We booked a hotel through Priceline. When we showed up to our reservation, the hotel was overbooked and they sent us away, saying they were already full before we ever booked our room, and it was Priceline's fault. We tried contacting Priceline and the hold time was more than 40 min. When I finally got through, I explained the situation to the customer service rep who tried to contact the hotel for verification. She claimed she couldn’t get ahold of the hotel because it was the wrong number and she was calling a hotel in New York (rather than Phoenix).

After going back and forth 3 times, she asked me what their phone number was, and I confirmed that she was calling the correct number. I thought it was odd, the area code was an Arizona area code, yet she still said it was calling New York? I had my husband call the number and he got through just fine... twice. I told the customer service rep this and she started defending herself saying she wasn’t lying.

I told her it was fine, we just needed them to find us a new hotel for the night. She said she couldn’t until she verified our reservation. After 30 min of this back-and-forth conversation, I was starting to feel like she did not care at all about our situation. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to, or a manager. She told me her managers would not answer even if I tried contacting them, and would not transfer me to anyone else. I hung up and tried calling back, hoping to get a different customer service rep.

After another 40 minutes of waiting on hold, my husband got through to a really nice customer service rep. Unfortunately, because it was so late at that point, the relocations office was closed and there was nothing she could do to help our situation. She said something along the lines of: “I noticed you called a while ago and spoke to someone about this same issue. I am so sorry, she should have forwarded you to the relocations office while they were still open, I have no idea why she didn’t do that”. She told us that unfortunately nothing could be resolved until Monday (it was Friday night), and that we would have to either book another place on our own or drive home.

At this point, I am very frustrated, and we are waiting to see if they will even give us a refund. I went onto Priceline’s Instagram page to read the comments and see if anyone else had problems with them. *EVERY SINGLE COMMENT that was made visible to me was a negative review. This company is a scam, don’t give them any of your money.

They do NOT tell you that some of the companies they may assign you to require more than their own insurance and will therefore charge you on arrival more than you pay for the car basically. I had to fly in a day early but they told me can't make a change, this was 2 weeks in advance...I had to call car rental company personally and the hit me with another 130.00 to get the car a day early...I would not recommend ever using Priceline for car rentals in case you have any emergencies or changes in your travel plans...I will make sure my company and all my friends and contacts know this and don't use this company!! I booked a flight on August 28th, 2020. Transaction cleared, and I received a trip number. I went to manage booking a few weeks later as it looked like the trip was panning out. The cancelation form said I had an invalid trip number. I called priceline and they said the trip number was correct and to cancel online. Which I still couldn't because of the trip number coming up invalid. They then advised me that closer to the trip, it would become valid and I would be able to. My flight is 3 days away now, the trip number is still not valid. When I call Priceline, the automated system says they are overloaded right now and to call back within 3 days of departure so they can help others and the system hangs up on me. I contacted them via Twitter and after 2 days I finally received a message saying to contact a phone number. The same message plays and I just get hung up on.

At first I just wanted a credit so I could fly later on. Now I'm not sure I want anything to do with them ever again. This is pretty slimy tactics. I work in customer service, and know the importance of every guest. One person can destroy a business. I believe I just lost $550 because a company doesn't value its customer base. If they handled things correctly they would have life long customers. Now they have hordes of people telling everyone about how terrible they are.

Priceline wouldn't do it and said call the vendor. Called the hotel and car and they said Priceline has to do it. Had a 3way call with car and Priceline. Thrifty authorized a full refund to allow me to rebook because Priceline wouldn't add a day and they couldn't change the Priceline reservation. After Thrifty hangs up, Priceline says they will charge me $70 for cancellation fee because Thrifty charges them for cancelling.

I decided to take my two teen daughters and maybe my adult son to Virginia Beach to celebrate my birthday. While searching on my own for specific accommodations, I soon learned that I needed a travel agent so I contacted Priceline. After talking to an agent asking for a suite that had two bedrooms, one with a king size and the other with two queens. Along with a pullout couch in the common area and a kitchen. The agent assured me that he found what I was looking for.

After booking the accommodations, I arrived to find something completely different than what I asked for. After confronting the hotel’s front desk, they assured me that they had nothing like I described and paid for. We did not stay the night and found a better location that would meet our wants and needs. After contacting Priceline about this dispute, they tried to argue with me about what I asked for, I quickly told that if I was on a recorded line with the first sales person he couldn’t they go over the recording to hear exactly what I asked for. Priceline still tried to charge me for 3 nights of a hotel we did not stay in. I quickly called my credit card company to dispute the charges Priceline tried to charge me for. If Priceline has such a good service to offer the consumer, they should not have to cheat, lie and defraud anyone just to get business. I would not recommend Priceline to anyone.

Do not use the pre-pay rental option, particularly with Dollar Rental. I rented a car this way, paid $353 up front and ended up not receiving a car. I waited in line for an hour with my 2 and 6 year old before calling it quits as we were still near the end of the line. Others had reported they had been in line for 3 hours AND when they reached the front, they did not have the type/style of car they reserved.

I tried calling Dollar Rental and got nowhere. I called Priceline and there was a 2 hour wait, they scheduled a call back at 1:30a. I answered, but got nowhere. They would not reimburse, either full or partial. I felt their end of the contract was not upheld. I pre-paid to AVOID this issue and yet could not get a car for 3 hours past the time I had reserved it (if I would have gotten one at all, another review reported they closed by the time they reached the front of the line) after getting off of a 3 hour flight with two small children. You would have better luck using Uber or just going to another dealer. Many people in line left and went to other counters to rent another car, despite having already pre-paid for their rental (because there were no lines at the other car rental counters!). I feel awful for people who had no other option. This is unethical. They should have been prepared for these customers if they have pre-paid and indicated their pick up time.

I called Priceline and the system told me there was a 45 minutes wait time and that I will received a call back and I accepted that however, I drove to the open DRAC to see if they could do something for me in the meantime; once at the new DRAC located on 4775 Swenson Street Las Vegas, NV 89119 I find out at the counter they couldn't help because all vehicles were booked and there was no vehicles available in any office in Las Vegas.

I drove back home and waited for Priceline to call me, I explained the issue and ask for a refund and they told me that in order to issue a refund they need it to contact DRAC and confirm it is closed which I find illogical since you can't confirm if it is closed when there is no one to pick up the phone, anyways I told Priceline to do whatever they need to do and they said, they will call me back in an hour which they did and the answer was "we can't get a hold of no-one at Dollar." I ask what are they going to do and they say to call back.

To make the story short I left to my destination in my old car 3 hours after my plan departure and have been calling Priceline for 4 days asking for status and refund and the answer is always the same "we can't get a hold of anyone at Dollar," which is true since the place still closed. At this I don't know if I want to cry or laugh for dealing with such unprofessional people, they have been rude, unresponsive, and basically don't care or have common sense, none of the 7-8 customer services representative I have spoken to since to take notes because I have to explain the same thing over and over... When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, Priceline’s vendor partner told me they did not have the size vehicle I rented. They told me that they only had a standard SUV and I would have to pay an upgrade fee to get the vehicle. When I questioned this and showed my guaranteed reservation, the rep just told me either I pay the upgrade fee or lose the money I already paid because it was a prepaid rental and it would not be refunded. I was held hostage now needing a car and not wanting to throw away the $252 I already paid, I paid the $159 for the upgrade and fees for the 3 days I had the rental.

Once I left, I called Priceline to see why this happened. I spoke to a very nice rep who told me I should not have had to pay, that they have an agreement with their partners to upgrade for free in these cases. She then told me what I needed to do to get this money refunded. She sent me an email where it clearly stated I should not have to have paid extra. The email instructed me to send a copy of my final receipt to Priceline and outline what happened. Which I did when I got the final receipt upon returning the vehicle. I was then told it would take 7-10 days to investigate. 10 days later I received an email saying since I used the vehicle they would not be refunding any of the money.

So I called in and spoke to a rep who told me my case was actually verified and they were trying to get their partner vendor to refund me. I have continued to call back once a week and just keep getting put off by them. Finally today I received an email saying they are refunding me $17. I don’t even know where they got $17 but it is unacceptable. I have filed with the BBB and am warning everyone to STAY AWAY from Priceline. They don’t have your interest at hand and go against their own word. Not just what reps said but what they actually emailed me from their own corporate rules and regulations. I work in a customer driven industry and if I ran my business this way, I would be out of business.

I called afterwards and still got nowhere. They ruined my entire trip and they were not even concerned. Come to find our Priceline booked my trip through a 3rd party and I was unaware. They kept telling me they have to contact Agoda and when I asked for the number to Agoda they said it wasn't a public number. All this and the representative didn't seem to understand English because it was a call center in another country. This really sucked.

I booked a non-refundable room on Priceline. You would think non-refundable is different from non-changeable. Not as far as Priceline is concerned. I was looking to switch my dates to a DAY earlier when doing so would result in ME paying MORE, not Priceline and the hotel losing money. That action is in the favor of the business, not mine. But no, Priceline insists on having hardline rules even during COVID times, which is still very much a thing. A Priceline rep actually told me “we only offer non-refundable bookings” which is absolutely NOT TRUE and TOTAL NONSENSE! (How is it that I was able to book other reservations with free cancellation???).

I understand I booked one that wasn’t refundable, but I don’t get the logic in not being able to change dates SLIGHTLY when doing just that gives them additional money. I contacted the hotel directly to EXPLAIN my request, which if they don’t understand, well, everyone involved is brain-dead, I guess. Priceline might have great deals, but their customer service is the absolute WORST on the planet. They are always “right,” and the customer is always wrong, which is NOT how it should be. Priceline’s answer is always “NO!” WTH kind of company is that?

My issue was that I was overcharged $50 (410 vs 360) on my 2 week car rental from Enterprise. I hadn’t noticed that when I made my reservation it listed my pricing as “estimated”. With previous rentals, I never had an issue. The online support person told me that the price was only estimated and likely when I went to pay the cars were in higher demand. Hmm. I was pretty aggravated with her response.

Next morning, I returned to the Enterprise Car Rental location where I picked up my car to try to get my original agreement. Turned out that the Enterprise agent had switched my reservation number with another customer. Once he realized the mistake, he corrected my reservation and I received my rental car agreement as what I had booked online. Lesson to me: don’t sign off on your rental car in the parking lot and do request a printout and review your agreement at the front desk inside. Also, don’t expect Priceline to help if you have a problem. The woman I dealt with was also a bit rude and condescending.

When booking a hotel through PayPal, I received a notification after I approved the payment through Paypal and was redirected back to Priceline and that read "oops, your room is no longer available, please try again." This happened 3 times. I used the credit card option on the 4th time and it went through right away. I also booked a 2nd night at a different location with the credit card and it went through right away. I always use the non-refundable option because of the cost savings. When checking my email the next morning, I noticed 3 confirmations, 2 for the first night and 1 for the second.

One of the first nights was for a stay that was "no longer available" according to their website message. I called into the toll free number and explained the website error and was reminded that these trips are non-refundable. I reminded them that it was a Priceline system error and not a user error. This was not accepted and I was treated with lack of respect. I counted 30 times during the conversation with 2 different people that these trips are non-refundable. I have no problem paying for any error that I produce. I just don't like paying for the companies error. Being a Priceline "VIP" doesn't amount to much if there is a system error. Be aware! Their solution was to call in and confirm or wait for an email. Do not believe the error message. It is very disappointing but not surprising. Priceline has always been my way of booking. What you see is not what you get booking on Priceline. Advertised amenities turn out to not be available and it costs you more money in the long run. And if you need help expect to wait hours for a callback. They are not equipped to handle high customer call volume. We were stranded in Dallas due to weather and flights being canceled. There are no rideshares or taxis operating, so we opted to book a hotel that has a shuttle to and from the airport.

We call to schedule the shuttle after we land and the hotel tells us they are not running the shuttle. I call Priceline to be booked somewhere else bc at this point we have no way out of the airport. It was a 3 hour hold time and they said they’d call us back. They called us 4 hours later. At that point we weren’t sure whether they would honor the cancellation so we already ended up renting a car. Which cost 2x as much as the hotel.

Priceline’s solution was a 20% refund of the hotel stay (which came to $11). The car rental was $98 after fees. The car rental could have been avoided if we’d gotten a call back sooner, but we were tired, cold, hungry and just plain desperate for a place to sleep. They also gave us a 10% off coupon off a future car rental. Which we tried to use the next day. And it didn’t work.

The next day our flight got canceled (again) after we returned the car. So we ended up booking another hotel and car through Priceline. The coupon did not work. It was only for “express deals.” When we tried to book a so called “express deal” it told us “no deal” and made us book at the regular rate. So coupon is useless at this point and it expires way before we will even have enough money to travel again. What’s even better is that when we got to the hotel, they wouldn’t check us in bc they had a power outage. Even though we had already paid for the room and had a confirmation.

Now it’s 6 degrees out, everything is shut down and we’re sleeping in the car to stay warm. Everyone is stuck here and rooms are hard to find. We call Priceline again, and we wait over an hour for a callback. We ended up finding another (more expensive) hotel to book directly at bc honestly I have zero faith in Priceline making this right in any meaningful way.

We finally receive the callback and they canceled the reservation. but they acted like they were doing as a favor. I ask if there’s another department that handles complaints and they transfer me to customer relations. I tell the whole story and the guy says there’s nothing more that they can do other than the 10% coupon (that didn’t work); the refund of $10 that didn’t come close to covering the unnecessary cost of a $100 rental car and the refund for a hotel we weren’t even allowed to check into.

Priceline really needs to do a better job of keeping up to date with hotel policies and current events impacting travel. At the very least there should have been a clear disclaimer saying to contact the hotel and make sure XYZ is available first. And they need to do better at compensating their customers for bad experiences. We’ve spent close to an additional $400 on this trip thanks to being stranded in the layover city. And if Priceline had better systems, we could have easily spent half of that or less.

My reservation was made through Priceline and I stayed at quality inn. It's too long to post here but the bottom line is the only response I'm getting back from Priceline is for them to tell me that I don't qualify for a refund when I haven't said one word about asking for any money back. I fell in the bathtub after being denied a handicap room and finding out there was actually one available by calling anonymously and asking for one. Priceline keeps telling me there's nothing they can do and I just want to know whatever happened just customer service and that people should know that Priceline does not stand behind their customers.

Prepaid a car rental using Priceline's website for a third party, Fox rent a car. At moment of pickup, we were denied rental due to not being a "local rental". The manager at fox informed us he had no authority in refunding the rental. Mind you, we were stranded at the airport at 11pm with nothing else open to rent. We asked the manager to please notate in his computer that we could not get rental so that way when we call priceline, no issue. We contacted priceline immediately walking out the door. Priceline assured us in 10 days they would investigate and inform us of outcome. Just received an email stating they cannot issue a refund as there is no note.

I've contacted priceline's customer service and offered to drive 30 miles to FLL Airport to Fox to speak with the same manager to speak with priceline that surely it's a misunderstanding. The priceline agent told me they will not issue a refund regardless of response and logged out of chat. They are uncompassionate and not putting the customer first. I will never be renting from them again and hope no one else has this issue. We will be pursuing any other method possible to receive a refund for a car rental we were denied not by our own responsibility of lack of arriving or being under the age.

I used the Priceline Express like I have for many years, even told my friends about it. This time I booked almost 2mo in advance for a 2.5 star hotel, so was in the category with Hampton, Red Roof Inn and Holiday Inn Express. What they gave us was a 2 star motel with outside entry. Being older we wanted the safety entering the hotel after our late night conferences. I called back immediately but she said I would have to speak with a supervisor who would get back with me within two days.

Finally three and a half days later I called in and asked to speak with a supervisor. Not only was she rude and kept interrupting me she would not change it for any circumstances and reminded me there was no refunds! I told her I did not want a refund I wanted her to put me in a hotel with inside entrance and the hotel they gave us was only a two-star. She argued with me that it was 2.5 Stars. My next plan is to notify the better Business bureau. Not only have they lost my business but word of mouth is the best advertisement and by all the bad reviews they are in big trouble.

Rental through Priceline for Hertz. Arrived at airport- no vehicle available- finally brought me a car with 2 flat tires and told me it was OK. I refused so they punished me with a beat up Chevy (I kid you not) with bumper falling off and dents everywhere. This car was filthy with discarded cups and napkins - I thought we had a COVID issue!! They said they had no one to clean it. I left the garage to find out the interior lights and panel would not work or blink, and sometimes the headlights would flash on and off. I tried calling Hertz waiting over 3 hours with no response. I called Priceline the 2nd day of the rental - I was told to wait 10 days before they could change out the car.

I told them it was only a 4 day rental - they said it's policy. Since then, the car has been returned, Priceline has never called me back and when I called them they just come up with another excuse. I called and got a supervisor on day 29 who told me they could do nothing as they had contacted Hertz. I called Hertz and found out Priceline never called them and many things I was told were simply, not true. Priceline could have provided or called Hertz 'special' number to help but instead did nothing. Truth be told, Priceline never called me back over the last 29 days as promised, and so it is not hard to assume they cannot be trusted. Once I called them because of some reason, very important reason due to bad weather, I decided to cancel the flight. And I have really canceled, and I rebooked for June 1st right now. I called the rental company, National. They said, “We have a booking from you under your name, but unfortunately -- we would have refunded you the whole money. In fact, we don’t charge until you pick up the car. But you have booked through the third party, which is Priceline, so we are not responsible.” When I called Priceline, they said, “Oh, there is a contract which is non-refundable. I was in Washington DC for my daughter's school project on January 6th 2021. We had plans to fly out the following day on January 7th however because of the DC upset we were locked down by law due to a curfew that was in force for three days. I had originally purchased a package that included hotel and flight from the third of January until the 7th of January. I booked a room earlier that morning on the 6th, unaware of what was going to happen, closer to the airport I was going to be flying out of, it was not refundable so when the curfew was put into place and all transportation in or out DC was shut down I called them and explained the situation.

I have no option but to cancel but they assured me that I would have a $583 credit that I could use in order to secure a flight home the following day at a time that curfew was not in place. I had to call back through several times because every flight that I wanted to take was some reason not eligible and then on the third time I called and they had told me that I no longer had $583 credit that I had a $240 credit. But yet I was going to have to purchase the airplane tickets at the standard rate at which American Airlines sold them directly. They were only giving me the credit of 50% on the discounted rate that I originally paid but were requiring me to pay at the standard rates of that day that was being charged by American Airlines.

They wanted me to pay for my cancellation and additional $600 per person. And because I had to call back several times the price changed to the point where it was almost $800 per person and there was nothing they were going to do about it. I received absolutely zero help. I've been had to borrow money from family to book another flight and hotel closer to where my home is because otherwise weren't available and in this process they again double charged me for every service. I was charged not only by the hotels but I was also charged by Booking.com and it's now going into a 30-day process and I have still received no assistance.

This company is a fraud. They take your money and they have absolutely no empathy for anything but securing that money that they've taken. Once you're there in the strange town in a strange place you have no choice but to do what they say and pay the money. It's extortion. It may be more expensive to not use a third party service and unfortunately that keeps people who can't afford it home and unable to enjoy travel because we have to worry about being ripped off by our company who uses sneaky tactics in order to profit. I figured out that with the tragedy that happened in our capital just in my situation Booking.com or and/or Priceline which are the same company profited off of me over $400.

Priceline would lure you into believing that you will spend less but it is actually the reverse because of their exploitative way of placing hidden fees and unthinkable price tag when something suddenly happens to you and you wish to seek for accommodation from Priceline. Their customer service approach is hostile and if you booked a hotel or car through Priceline, the actual car company may be ready to work with you but Priceline for instance would restrict you so as to collect heavy fees from you. Like charging you $300 per day if you want to extend a rental, charging you $500 to drop a car in another location and refusing to refund you even if you need to return the car early.

Why must Priceline not refund a customer that returns a car early while you are going to rent out the same car and make money out of it. That is cruel and exploitative. I would NEVER recommend Priceline for anyone who worked hard for their money. I had never booked a vacation before the one we took this month (December 2020). I thought I was getting a great deal by booking a flight, rental car, and hotel through Priceline. I will not use Priceline again. First, a few days before we left, I discovered that the hotel charge was NOT included in the bundle charge. So, travelling on a budget, we had to pay over $500 for a room we thought had been part of the "great deal" of a package. Second, the rental car company was 20 minutes off-site from the airport, which Priceline did not disclose. Worse, the company has a 2.3 Google rating - the lowest I have ever seen. Priceline does not tell you upfront through whom you are renting. And that 2.3 Google rating is absolutely deserved. Check out Fox Rent a Car Orlando, and you'll see why. My experience was similar to those reviews.

Third, when I looked into changing our returning flight to a day prior to our scheduled return, Priceline told me there would be a $900 change fee. I had found out before we left that United has cancelled all change flight fees - you only have to pay the difference between the rates at this time due to COVID 19. So I asked the Priceline agent what would happen if I cancelled our flights, then went through United instead of them. I was told I would get Priceline travel voucher to use by October 2021, but that I "cannot do that." I laughed and asked the agent how they would ever know. If I cancel the flights I bought through them, they give me a travel voucher for the cost, and I simply call United to book my return. He then admitted that I "can do that." I called United to see about what it would cost to change my return flight to the day before our scheduled return. The cost: $139.

The only reason I am giving a two-star review is for the customer service. While I was frustratingly disconnected FOUR separate times calling, one of those times the agent called me back, and another time, the agent emailed me trying to reconnect. However, since I've booked flights on Priceline before, I am a "VIP" member, so your experience with customer service might be different if you don't have this "status." My advice: do your homework and book each travel component separately if you want to "bundle."

We booked for a different night, so I canceled 6 days before check in. I received an email 3 days prior to check in confirming my room. I let them know I had already canceled. They proceeded to tell me the room was a discount room and could not be canceled (not true). I asked why I was able to cancel then? They then said that it was 3 days prior to check in so I would be charged full amount. I was passed around to several people. The last one said they would email my hotel and try to get full refund, and I should expect them to get back with me later that day or the following morning. Nobody ever contacted me. They just wanted me to stop contacting them. They lied, changed stories, and refused to make things right, and there was nothing I could do about it. Never ever use them!!!

They literally said, "sorry, there's nothing we can do for you. You'll have to go through the airline." (The airline told us that since we booked through Priceline we'd have to go through them.) Our only option was to pay an extra $400 to get home. Priceline is a complete rip-off! Spend an extra 15 min to research the best tickets and save yourself a world of grief! DO NOT USE PRICELINE. I had a reservation I made using the price breaker feature. Given that this feature selects a random hotel out of a given pool I obviously did not choose my particular hotel. When I arrived however I was not allowed to check in due to being 20 rather than 21. An issue I have never heard of in my state given that legal age here is 18 and had even stayed in another hotel about two weeks prior. So I was turned away and forced to find and pay for another hotel at 10:30 at night when I had already booked and paid for a room.

I paid a service to find me a room and Priceline's service not only wasn't able to effectively book me a room it was a massive detriment to my plans and bank account. If their company would do the right thing and issue me my measly 100 dollar refund for the service THAT WASN’T PREFORMED I would happily go back to using their service but given that I'll just be swept under the rug I don't expect much from Priceline or its terrible customer service.

DO NOT use this company. I booked a car rental through them for the first time as I usually book directly through the car rental agency. My trip was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. My airline reimbursed my flight, but Priceline refuses to cancel and reimburse my car rental. Full disclosure, in the small print on the contract it did state that the rental was non-refundable. There was no warning prior to making the reservation, as I have seen when reserving directly through the rental car agency, you had to read the fine print in the contract which I obviously missed. Despite that, the airline had no trouble cancelling and giving me a voucher for future travel on my flight without trip cancellation insurance.

I understand buyer beware, but Priceline did not make it easy for me to know that cancellation was not an option and I had to cancel due to circumstances not under my control. I was well aware when making the booking that COVID may impact my trip, so I would have never made the booking with the knowledge that I could not cancel without penalty. My airline made their cancellation policy very clear at the time of booking. Priceline is obviously being consciously non-transparent and taking advantage at a time when none of us can afford to pay for services not provided.

They were all very understanding and refunded my money with no issues or arguments. Except Priceline and the rental car. They would not refund my money, they didn’t care at all, and in the end I was forced to pay $200 for a rental car that probably just sat on the lot for the week. I also sprung for the insurance because it had trip cancellation coverage, and that was also worthless because they also refused to cover my cancellation because it was Covid related. Stole my Daughter's money and cancelled her flights. My daughter, (20 yrs. old), is a CNA at a hospital in Michigan. She had saved up to buy plane tickets to North Carolina and back to Michigan to see me, (her dad), on her Birthday weekend. I ended up getting some time off from work so I went up to Michigan shortly before her trip. I told her she should ride with me down to North Carolina so she could experience the Mountains and see some cool, new things and then take her return flight home. She contacted Priceline and let them know that she would be driving down and was also trying to see if she could get some of her money back for those flights. They informed her that she would have to cancel all of her flights to receive anything back, we understood.

Shortly after getting to North Carolina we received an email from Priceline that they had canceled my daughter's return flights because she didn't make the flights down and they would not be returning any of her money. After several phone calls between Priceline and United Airlines, (United Airlines, Where the guy laughed at my daughter and hung up the phone on her), we finally found out that it was in Priceline's policy to keep your money and cancel your return flights, even though you paid for them. I had to purchase a new return flight for her and they did nothing.

First of all, false promises and luring the customers. They had a line "Book a car with Free Cancellation for flexibility" on their rental car reservation page in November when I book the car and after payment, they informed me that the offer was until July and they would charge me even if I didn't take the car.

Second, worst customer service. I had to stay on Call for 15 minutes before someone answered the call. And that person couldn't answer my question and left me on hold for another 15 minutes before dropping the call. I called them at 11 PM and I got to talk to an agent at 12:05 AM and he told me that it is 5 minutes past 12 and as it was the day of rental, he can't help me in any way. Is it some kind of cheap trick?! I didn't understand. I feel bad for the company, customer service agents, and the customers renting from them. Priceline offered the best price for 2 adults and 2 children total price $342.00, so I booked it. When I received the confirmation it said only 2 adults. I proceeded to chat online with a representative which did not help, because he stated that they only guarantee 2 adults and the hotel may charge additional for the children. I explained that when I booked online it gave me the option for 2 kids and I put their ages and it generated a higher price compared to only 2 adults.

The following morning I called the hotel where they explained that the reservation is only 2 adults and I would need to pay an additional $211.00. So I called the customer service line for Priceline.com where they stated that in terms and conditions it states they only guarantee 2 adults. My issue is the following: the website allows and provides an elevated price for 2 adults and 2 children, then when you book it only guarantees the adults, when you get to the hotel you get the surprise of an additional fee. It is basically false advertisement!! So I will be paying $553.10 in total, when according to Priceline.com it was going to be $342.10.

I as the many on here complaining, was also scammed from being lured in by a cheaper rental rate via "Priceline" and reserved a car but when I reached the rental counter which is an outside building away from the main airport hub where all the other reputable agencies are housed that should have been the first warning, to then find when I arrive that the name "FOX" is really a fitting name for how this company runs its business. I have never heard of a rental company that refuses your own personal auto car insurance and forces you to buy theirs at twice the amount of what the daily rental rate was that lured you in the first place. On top of that they also added a daily road side assistance to my bill which I never requested.

The scam that they run is to lure you in with the cheapest daily rate versus a Hertz, Budget, Enterprise and once they have lured you in, they pray on the fact that your tired and want to get on your way so the the "FOX" comes out and you end up leaving there paying more than what you would have paid at a Hertz, Budget or a host of other agencies that didn't get a chance at our business because they in fact post the actual cost to the consumer up front. No hidden agendas which is why they exclude themselves from lowest pricing versus Fox who lures you in with the lowest online price but they really aren't.

Read all the reviews and shame on Priceline whom I used as they also need to do their homework before promoting businesses like this one. I will never set foot in this rental place again that's for sure and will let everyone I know to stay away. I called Priceline to complain this afternoon and was treated without empathy or concern. I have never been more disappointed by a travel site. First, we did the bundle deal to rent a car and flights together, because they clearly stated that you were able to pick up the car rental at the airport. When we arrived we could not find the kiosk. I doubled checked the reservation and it said the airport again, but there was another address under this. I called customer service and at first, she just said, "Well you must have to get a cab to that address." I asked why it said airport and why did this not update until after I paid for the reservation. She looked further and finally found where I could get a shuttle. At this point, she just kept repeating directions with no actual customer service. I accepted that I might have missed this somehow, but the presentation of the bundle was purposely misleading and the customer service was horrible.

When booking the flights our itinerary updated and Priceline had changed our return flight to Frontier. I was not happy about this, but figured that was apart of the cheapest bundle. At the end of our trip, the flight was still active on Priceline and we did not receive any updates. Luckily we tried to check in the night before and kept getting an 'error' or 'reservation not found' message. We called Priceline and were transferred to the flights department which said they would have to call us back. While waiting I called Frontier and they told us there was an error in booking back in September and they canceled our flight (I still don't know what this means).

Their only offer was a 38.00 refund or to reserve their next available flight, which was not until February. When Priceline finally called back they just said, "Are you sure your tickets were canceled, this is still showing active", "Did you actually speak to Frontier?" Finally, the customer service rep looked a little more and confirmed the same thing as Frontier, she saw some sort of error. She then informed us that it is not their responsibility to send us updates or make sure our booking went through or that the flight was active when booking. We get this information from the airline. Meanwhile, we are still stuck in Miami with no way home.

I told her it's ridiculous to charge so many fees and to book through them if they don't support the transaction, but we needed a solution and way home. Her response was that this was the flights department, but it was a reservation issue and they would have to call back. We did not get a call back until 1 am. We had to find flights at another airport and still have not gotten our refunds or another customer service response.

The best way to describe Priceline is the Russian Roulette of the travel industry. Maybe a few people have had a good experience but all that means is you pulled the trigger and didn't have the chamber with the bullet. Essentially, here's how they work. To compete against legitimate companies, say for instance in the rental car company market, they partner with low budget, cut-throat, poorly-reviewed companies like Routes (1 star) to undercut the prices of legitimate companies like Hertz or Enterprise and to make themselves seem better than other 3rd party indirect sites like booking.com or Travelocity.

You think you are paying less, then you get there and they did not quote all the taxes and fees correctly and it's 120$ more and they are already making huge money on the mark up margins selling you a rental car for a week from a carrier that should be way less and pulling up the price to within 20$ online of a Hertz or Enterprise. Also in the 20 years I have been traveling, obviously nothing is ever 100% perfect but I have in those 20 years had issues with my bookings (cars, hotels, flights) with bookig.com, Trevelocity, Orbitz, Kayak, Tripadvisor, airbnb, Hotels.com and others and all others will work with you to resolve the issue. Priceline is the only one that will for all intents and purposes tell you to go to hell we're keeping you're money "caveat emptor". They have done this to me no twice on a rental car and a hotel.

The representative of the website with whom I talked to, also does not want to help. You will not find out about this cancellation policy before you pay, only after. I called multiple times for them to explain to me this policy, but each time the representatives were rude and hung up on me. Do not ever use Priceline.

First do not book rooms through Priceline, will end up costing you! I booked a room for Thanksgiving. Learned through news that hotel we booked, had a fire the weekend before Thanksgiving. After not hearing from hotel or Priceline, made a call to hotel. Found the fire was bad enough hotel will not be open until next year! Called priceline for them to move our reservations to another hotel, to be told they don't do that! Very rude young lady. Called back asking for a supervisor and was on hold 20 minutes, to be told nothing they can do, never told they were sorry, would do something, anything. Supervisor when she got on the phone just kept talking in circles, telling me that my room was canceled, and that they had called me about the fire. I never received an email or phone call from Priceline, but because the previous rep noted that I was called gospel.

Finally I asked if she was going to help with another room or not, was told nothing they could do! I need the call at that time. I hope others see this and other reviews and do not use Priceline!! They try and turn it so you're at fault then no sorry or anything just "nothing we can do." But of course they already have taken your money. Please do not use Priceline!!

I rented a car through Priceline at FLL Airport weeks before my trip. NextCar was the rental company. I waited outside the airport terminal for an hour and no van came to pick me up. Finally a small car with "NextCar" on the side arrived and many people ran to the car but it only held 4. The driver told me to call JC Something on the sign for pick up (Next Car was not on the sign to call). The phone number on my Priceline Reservation was continually busy. Now an hour later after arrival and standing in the rain, I googled another phone for NextCar only to find they had given my car away and had no other cars. Never again will I used Priceline or NextCar to rent a car again. I will go through major chains only that are actually within the FLL Airport (not the companies off site) from airport.

All it kept saying was I don't understand, I tried Text messaging and no one responded. Finally after being hung up on I got a hold of someone who helped me get the changes done but left me on hold for almost 2 hours as he confirmed with the airline. That day I spent 5 hours on the phone with them trying to fix this.

Today we find out due to COVID 19 she is now not working Christmas day (as they are limiting the staff for the holiday) so I edited the flight to come in on 12/25 and saved it, I sent a chat and again I don't understand, tried texting no response, called got hung up on 3 times, finally got someone who said, "You need to talk to our ticketing agents. They will call you back," I asked how long she said an hour so. An hour and 1/2 later I call and get hung up on 4 times and finally it says you are in line to be called back. Says customer service is available 24/7 days but a people aren't up 24/7. Worse service ever. Will never use them again and highly recommend you don't either.

To add to that the hotel has MULTIPLE horrible reviews stating mold, roaches, leaking ceilings. I called Priceline and explained my issue to them and they flat out told me they would not help me. I escalated the issue and received the same answer. So I told them in no uncertain terms that it was unacceptable to treat a loyal customer that way. I will NEVER use Priceline again and I strongly suggest that you do not either. They WILL NOT help you when you need it. Priceline said to expect a Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. I called to confirm the cancellation right after I canceled and I was told I did it through the airline and it was a $15 fee to cancel with a rep and I agreed. 14 days later and no refund. I sat on the phone with a Priceline rep for 40 minutes to be transferred without warning for another 40 mins before someone was available. I was told by this supervisor to forward the link that I used so she can see what I saw.

I did that, I was told that there is a red cancellation link that would no longer be there because my refund or cancellation window has passed however I still see the BLUE link at this very moment. I offered to send screenshots of the cancellation confirmation and all of a sudden the line went quiet and I sat there for 5 more minutes before the line hung all together. I had been using Priceline for years but they have taken my money in this pandemic and I will steer everyone that I can away from the Scam of a site/agency. They have disgusted me with this ridiculousness. After numerous phone calls to Priceline and Fox car rental neither one would let me delay my pick up. They said that rental agreements are binding and I cannot change anything. I even offered to pay the full price as long as I could pick it up a day and a half later. They were not willing to let me pick it up unless I arrived within 12 hours of my scheduled original time. So In short I had to rent another car through another company and pay again. I have started a dispute with my credit card company but I honestly do not think I will win. I have just returned from the worst ordeal I have ever encountered whilst travelling overseas. I paid a lot of money to stay at a Riu Palace Peninsula, a 5 star hotel in Cancun, Mexico from October 3 to 9th. Unfortunately on the 6th October we had to be evacuated from the hotel to a shelter due to hurricane Delta heading in our direction. When leaving the hotel we were given a plastic bag with a banana, a cookie, a sandwich and a tin of tuna and told that was our dinner and breakfast.

We arrived at the shelter which was a disused Riu hotel and it was disgraceful. Our room had a filthy toilet and no running water so we changed rooms. The new room stank. It had no air conditioning and only had water in the fridge. We had to walk to the shops and buy food and drink. I rang Riu customer service many times in Spain, but they were unable to help us....I then rang Priceline who I had booked through and they were also unable to help us...so the conclusion was we were dumped in Mexico, in a refugee camp to look fend for ourselves.

That night we left the camp to get some food and drink, when we returned to the shelter there were people camped out on the gardens, the trash cans were overflowing, there was garbage everywhere ...This place was a mess and a health hazard and how Riu or Priceline can justify putting guest in a hell hole like this is beyond belief, not only under normal circumstances but during a pandemic.

Eventually after 2 nights in this dump, we returned back to the peninsula to find out our flights home had been cancelled and we had to reschedule, which also meant we had to book and pay for two more nights at the Peninsula, even though we never stayed at the hotel for the allocated time we booked for. I know the hurricane was not anybody’s fault, but If there were no more rooms available at other Riu hotels you should of put people up elsewhere. This shelter was a disgrace and it would not surprise me if COVID or other disease will now come from here. You are playing with people's lives and your actions are totally unacceptable.

I am now back in the USA and I have rang Priceline to complain and get a refund of some kind. They were totally unhelpful and said I am not eligible for a refund as Riu have told them no refunds are being issued. Thanks Priceline and Riu for looking after us during our vacation and after...NOT! I strongly advise people not to use either of these companies because once they have your money they don’t care.

I canceled 2 days later after booking bc of bad weather and plus it would be my first time flying so I was nervous about the hurricanes. After booking I received a call from the hotel saying that we would need to have COVID testing done before coming and if we didn’t we would be quarantined for 14 days when we arrived. Let me remind you it’s 4 days before my trip. When I cancelled I got refunded for hotel and car rental and they wouldn’t give me a dime back for my flight. I got insurance on my trip and it wasn’t worth a dang. I talked to several people from Priceline and all were non English representatives. One of the representatives wrote in my notes that he offered me a credit for my flight in which he didn’t. He offered for me to take a flight 12/31/20 and I didn’t except because this was my vacation for the year.

Priceline and American Airline kept on pushing me back forth to one another and kept telling me they would get back to me. Never did!! My flight date came and the insurance denied me for my refund and didn’t send me confirmation until after my flight. So the representative from priceline put in my notes that I was a no show. That was incorrect because I cancelled days before. Priceline said that they were going to handle it and escalate my concern to a manager and they were going to get back with me in 48 to 72 hours and they didn’t. I had to call them after they said they were getting back to me twice.

It was a nightmare. I spent $3200 on that whole trip. All that I got back in a refund was $1500. I got $300 back from the rental in 24 hours but it took them a month to send back the $1200 (refund was only suppose to take 14 days) because they said something went wrong with the system and they didn’t see it. I will never in life book from Priceline again. They are holding my money and still haven’t refunded my money for my flight..

Like I told your representative, I clicked the link in my itinerary that went straight to your site. I then clicked the link to cancel the reservation. I don't blame the hotel, I blame Priceline. It had nothing to do with the hotel. I did what I had to do to cancel my reservation. I went back in my history and found the time I went back to your site to cancel the reservation. It was at 7:07 PM. My reservation was made at 9:30 AM. What other reason would I go back to the Priceline site. I am a retired teacher and my retirement isn't very much, but I am a forgiving person so, it's a lesson learned. It is possible the internet was messing up with our weather, but you can afford the $226 more than I can.

Good business practice would be to at least offer some kind of assistance. You could have shared the cost of the hotel by at least paying half or you could have refunded your fees. My city was experiencing a hurricane. You should have shown some kind of compassion. I also booked on Hotels.com the exact same way I did the Priceline reservation. It was the same procedure I did with Priceline, but the only difference was theirs worked. I will not be using Priceline again.

We recently evacuated from Hurricane Delta, called Priceline to book two rooms because we have used them before and we’re satisfied in the past. Originally we requested to reserve LaQuinta Inn in Bossier City, Shreveport area, however it would not allow me to do so from my iPad due to sold out. So the recommendation was to call the customer service number provided in which I did so. The representative was very swift speaking with his words and supposedly told us the Super 8 was all they had left. “All the others are astronomically high” he said. I then looked at the property on Priceline website and was pleasantly surprised of the pictures of the property.

Once we arrived at the property after a grueling trip in rainy horrible weather, the property looked completely opposite of the pics on the site. We had smoking rooms which were not requested and the property had no non smoking rooms available. People were hanging outside of their rooms all evening, the tv did not work. The bedroom furniture was horrible. The lights in the bathroom were not working. Just a hot unsafe mess of a property. The hotel representative allowed compensation for the second night booked however not the first. We then booked the Hampton Inn within minutes through Expedia, checked into our new property and was relieved that the property was just how the pics described it with wonderful safe and a super friendly staff.

Called Priceline to inquire on a refund however it took 24 hours before reaching someone. Priceline did not have my email address correct therefore we were never emailed an itinerary. I repeated my self multiple time so that the representative would have my correct information. Finally when I reached them it was over an hour long phone call. They agreed to reimburse us for the second day booked however the property refused to refund both days. Priceline informed us that they would listen to the recording and if they felt it was the representatives’ fault we would receive a full refund. 5 days later I called to follow up. “May we emailed you a decision”.

First of all neither one of the representatives that I spoke to managed to get my correct email address so of course as the first time we did not receive an email. Secondly they informed me via a telephone conversation they would not be able to credit the full refund. We used to use Priceline often in the past. We travel regularly for AAU basketball games and recreation. This was a horrible experience and I would never ever recommend them to anyone or use them again. On the other hand the process with Expedia was a stress free and easy process. Never ever again Priceline!

I booked airline and a Mustang rental car when I thought there would be just two of us traveling. Then 3 friends decided to join us on the trip. I called to change the mustang to a larger car - no other change. After 2 hours of being sent back and forth from Hertz to Priceline because Priceline kept saying Hertz can change it and hertz kept insisting that they couldn't because I had already paid Priceline, Priceline finally told me that they can't make any change at all to the rental car, including the MODEL of the car that I am renting! They now have my money and, while they easily accessed Hertz's car choices before I paid, now they can't so I'm stuck. I now remember using them in the past and having a similar issue and swearing NEVER to use them again! I won't ever forget again.

I used Priceline to rent a car while in Phoenix From 10/9-10/12. I arrived at the car rental center and NU Car rentals is not located at the car rental center. They are offsite. Interesting part when booking Priceline does call out that NU Car rental is offsite. They say: "Pick up at NU car rentals Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl Airport (PHX)," which leads you to believe they are on site.. The address posted is of the airport so you are really lead to think it’s onsite but the bury the fact it’s off-site within the rental agreement someplace they never pointed it out.. At any rate when confronted about it All Priceline cared about was covering their butts and the money nothing else.

I booked a stay at the Hampton INN in Edenton NC, I had to cancel the second night stay due to a death. I called the front desk at the hotel who told me she couldnt do anything as it was a third party booking so I would have to call Priceline. I called priceline who said they would have to contact the hotel to see if they would allow it, they contacted the same receptionist at the Hotel who said “No” to which Priceline said they were sorry but couldn’t do anything about this even with something so serious as an immediate family members death. What is the point of booking third party if they essentially can't do anything.

I had to check out of that hotel at 9:30 that morning, walking down to the front desk, I slipped on the wet floor and busted my knee. The hotel maid ran over to me to help me up. Once she helped me she ran over to get the wet floor signs that were sitting flat up against the wall. She immediately put them out. I limped the 7 feet over to the front desk receptionist who refused to acknowledge what happened. I was 7 FEET from her. She said “how can I help you?” Without giving me any eye contact. I said, "I need to check out." She said, "I cant check you out. You are here for two nights." I said, "I have to leave, can I get a receipt?" to which she said she could not do that. Priceline would have to but I could leave my hotel key card, to which I put I gave back. I immediately called priceline back and they again apologized it happened but nothing they could do.

The airline and lodge were willing to work with us on changing the date but we had to go through Priceline because that’s how it was booked. Priceline refused to move anything and were going to charge us $200 to cancel our flight per seat. He has medical paperwork proving his injury and he can’t walk so we either go or lose all of our money plus another $400! I will never use them again and am warning everyone to stay as far away as possible from Priceline. We have no control over last minute injuries and they don’t care. They are a money hungry company.

I'd rather give negative stars If! If customers are reading...DO NOT RESERVE through Priceline. After a half of a day driving and reserving 1 hour and 30 minutes before arrival, the reservation didn't come to hotel. Getting to hotel waited for 2 additional hours before I can get checked into my 2 rooms I reserved. A total of 3.5 hours wasting my time, before I can get into my room. The customer service also wanted to make it my fault for "booking on the same day" when I travel for work and I'm in a different city each day. I will not book through priceline again and I want my money back for the time they have wasted.

I've been traveling for 6 years and this happened a total of 4 times already. The lady didn't call me back after she said she will call me back when she speaks to the hotel and clear up my confirmation. I went to stand in front of the hotel clerk and he said she only got one room approved from the reservation even though I reserved 2. So I had to wait for another 30 minutes to get the second room reservation sent from priceline. After all this he finally checked me in and I get a call from priceline an HOUR later and she (priceline rep) telling me I can check in and the problem has been resolved but the time I lost is not her fault. Will not book through priceline again!!!

When statement came noticed 2 charges for the hotel, 1 from Priceline and 1 from the hotel. The hotel charged me 43 dollars less for the same stay that priceline charged. Did get a refund from hotel error, called priceline for their rate guarantee. Was told they won't refund the difference because I got a "deal" from the hotel. I said didn't get a deal, only checked in. Lady stated they do have price guarantee but it doesn't apply here. If you have a price guarantee that your price is the cheapest and it's not, you should honor the cheapest price. So don't book with them, it's cheaper to just book through the hotel.

This company does not stand behind your purchase and does not guarantee services. The hotel I reserved did not have parking and that was not advertised. The parking garage I was told was 2.00 overnight. When we got there it was under construction, very sketchy and far from the hotel. We left about 15 minutes after evaluating the situation and the parking was 17.00. I can’t imagine what that would have cost overnight. When I called I was told that the hotel had valet at $42.00. At that point alone with my daughter was willing to pay. When we returned to the hotel we were told that there was no valet. At that point we were offered different parking that was still a distance away.

We decided it was impossible to stay there. We requested a refund and was refused by the Boston Gardens on Friend Street (of all names. They were not friendly). I was told to call Priceline which I did. I was called back over a half hour later to be put on hold. They called the hotel and confirmed what I already told them that they refused to refund our money. So we found a Best Western at 11:00 at night with parking very clean and had to pay for another hotel. Save your money. I will NEVER use Priceline again.

They advertised a hotel to be $101 a night. Claimed it used to be $175 and was being marked down to $101. When you go to pay your total after tax and fees is $125, when you check in to the hotel you get charged an additional $50.... That literally adds up to the price "it used to be." How is that fair. Nowhere does it say you get charged an extra $50.

Do NOT use Priceline. Pay the extra few dollars and book straight through the hotel, rental car, etc. If you book through Priceline, you have to pay in full upfront, and your ability to negotiate is taken away. I booked a trip, and my trip was cut short due to COID-19 related issues. I called Priceline in an attempt to not be charged for the remaining days, as I was returning home early. I was willing to pay for the days I used the service, but asked to be refunded for the unused days. They said they would, but I needed to provide several pieces of documentation; but oddly enough, they wanted the documents faxed. That was the first strange thing; who faxes anything anymore?

Of course I faxed everything, and it's been several iterations of 'lost faxes,' 'nothing in the notes,' etc.; it's clear I'm just getting 'jerked-around' at this point. If they were not willing to rebate me on the front end, let me know, as least I would not have wasted time playing their paperwork games. If I had booked direct with the rental car and the hotel, I would have checked out on the day I was done, no extra charges, and would have returned the rental car when I was done - no extra charges. NOT Priceline - I will NEVER use Priceline again!
