Priceline is absolutely terrible, made the huge mistake of booking with an agent online who told me I was getting a cheaper rate than I was actually charged for and after a “review” of my dispute Priceline proceeded to back this guy up and charge me this fictitious amount. Shame on you Priceline and your shady practices. I will never use your trash “services” again.

I went on the site to rent a car and at the end of the booking process the rates changed. Completely false advertisement and robbery of customers. I will be seeking legal action against Priceline. I talked with to supervisor and they basically called me a liar and I can not modify or cancel the reservation. I called within minutes of the reservation to explain the situation and they refused to listen to my concerns.

Wife and I booked a room in Orangeburg, SC, via my phone when we were on the road then immediately received a notice that "Your trip is no longer available." So I quickly booked another, which took 4 1/2 minutes. Then I saw that Priceline sent me TWO emails confirming that I had both bookings. I immediately made 2 calls to Priceline Cust. Service; reps with fake names in the Philippines were useless. I also made a call to the first hotel and told them that Priceline made an error in the booking. Additional multiple calls to Cust. Service were fruitless. I opened a case and Priceline denied my claim, never mentioning the notice I received about the first room being "unavailable." I called AARP and talked to their Fraud Specialist. I was told to call the FBI, the NYS Attorney General, and the SC Attorney General and report this. I was given phone numbers by the AARP person.
Such a HUGE waste of time to get back the $108.98 Priceline stole from me. Either this is a SCAM by Priceline or Priceline has been hacked by someone who intercepts bookings and attempts to redirect the person booking to another site. This is why the AARP Fraud Specialist wants me to contact the FBI. Priceline is foolish to lose a good customer like us over $109 for an error that they made. I will cancel my Priceline VISA card. Now I have to write a letter to Priceline to "reassert my claim." I will copy it to their main office in Norwalk, CT, and to the FBI, etc.

I was on vacation. I booked a hotel through Priceline in a different state. When I arrived to hotel they had no rooms available and was not sure when there would be one ready. I waited around for hours outside the hotel in the rain. Could not wait in lobby. I took a plane there with several children and was stranded. When I called Priceline to explain what happened he said he could not do anything the hotel did not answer him. A supervisor will call within a hour. Worst customer service, I booked a package trip flights a hotel to Mexico. I paid for an upgrade on the room while booking, the itinerary reflects a room that’s not even an available option of room so I called to confirm my room type. Once they called the property they informed them they have me on a lesser room and they’re sold out of any greater value rooms. No one has the authority to solve the issue so they have to escalated to management/research team who can only be contact by them through email. They informed I would be contact with the solution in 3 to 5 business and it’s been almost two weeks and no response. Now they’re just telling me they’ll definitely contact me before check in date and my trip is in 2 weeks. They also don’t have a way to leave complaints unless is a physical letter mailed to corporate. Horrible experience that I’m still waiting on the solution.

Priceline is great for deals, but WILL NOT protect their customers. You're better off going directly through the hotels. I've used Priceline religiously for many years and always had great success in finding good deals. I've been a VIP Gold member for almost all of those years. Recently we booked a trip to a hotel that was supposed to provide airport shuttles as an amenity. Our flight was delayed so we tried calling the hotel to let them know, no answer. There were also no shuttles to/from our hotel as promised. We tried calling the hotel for 2 hours from 10pm to 12am while stranded at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. NO ANSWER. Then had to pay $95 round trip to get a taxi to/from the hotel.
We complained to the hotel & were told to deal with Priceline since that's where our booking was through. Contacted Priceline & they won't give us a refund, discount, voucher, coupon, NOTHING to help correct the issue. Their response is that they'll deal with the hotel so that future guests don't have this issue. Meanwhile, a VIP member is left hanging out to dry with ZERO help to correct our situation.

Had to rent from someone else. Priceline said we cancelled but no show on the car part broke our contract. Will not give a refund. Always went they Expedia with no problems. They refuse to talk to us and the car rental says refund is up to Priceline. After the fact I have seen numerous bad reviews on their car rentals. Consumer beware!!!! Nothing like paying for two cars!

I recently booked a round trip tickets and was able to choose seats. This is very important so that my husband could have an aisle seat and we could sit together. Their policy states that they could not guarantee seats, and that airlines may reassign. I checked on my reservations today and discovered that I had no seat assignment whatsoever. I checked seat availability hoping I could rebook seats only to discover that not only could we not get an aisle seat on any flight, we would also not be able to sit together. I called Priceline customer service. They were no help. I requested a call back from a supervisor. I was told it would be 1 hour.
During that time went ahead and paid to upgrade a seat so I could get an aisle seat and we could sit together. Approaching the 3hour mark I finally get a call back. I was told that unless I took a screenshot showing the seats I had booked, they could not do anything. I asked for a reimbursement for the amount I had to pay to get two seats together. Again I was told that unless I could provide a screenshot showing where I booked the seats they could not escalate the issue. I had to raise my voice on multiple occasions through the whole incident as their reps were both unprofessional and (I believe) deliberately obtuse.

I have been a customer to Priceline for more years than I can remember, and while it's like pulling teeth to get them to do the right thing sometimes, today took the cake. Their website calendar on rental cars clearly was marked $69 a day, and when I submitted my credit card info it confirmed that, but when it went through it had charged my card $234.99 a day! More than triple the agreed upon amount. And the real kicker however was Priceline not only didn't make it right, they straight up called me a liar about it! I will never use them again for any of my travel needs, there are way too many other choice out there to settle for a company that you can't trust.

If negative stars were a choice I would choose it. I want to say that ALL of the customer service people I spoke with were very nice but ALL said they were not authorized or allowed to help me. I went to Priceline.com. I was looking for today- the date that the search auto populates to. I picked my location. I picked from search results & made a reservation. I got a confirmation email. The email confirmed my reservation for a random day in July- the 19th. Wow! How did the date change? I wondered & immediately called to fix that. The hotel said only Priceline could modify the date. Priceline said oh it was a third party contract (even though booked from Priceline.com) & I needed to call Booking.com. Booking said only the hotel could change the date & called them for us. The hotel said we needed to email the hotel chain main site- with a 5-7 business day response time.
I also called the hotel chain main customer service who said that they are not allowed to make changes to online bookings but if I had called or used the hotel site to make my reservation she would have easily been able to help. So no one is authorized to make a simple date change? I don’t even understand how that date ended up in my reservation. No accountability for Priceline. No ability to provide customer service in this case. In the end I had to make a new reservation for tonight- which I did on the hotel’s website instead of Priceline. I already learned a lesson there that cost $100 plus.

I booked a flight in Jan 2020 via Priceline from India to SFO (Air India) before COVID hit. I got a message from the airline that my flight is going to be cancelled due to Pandemic. I reached out to Priceline in Mar 2020 asking for refund, they said they cannot get hold of Air India folks and suggested I talk to them directly. I was able to get in touch with them and they said, we will partially refund the ticket and I was OK with them deducting $200 (although in ideal situation I wouldn't be but it was Pandemic, so I get the unusual circumstances).
Air India said the can only issue the refund to Priceline because I booked it via Priceline (BIG MISTAKE). Ever since then (Apr 2020), I have been calling them and they give me ** about not getting response from Air India. I am disappointed with the lack of effort. Before you book hotels third party, be sure to check directly with them. Unfortunately I had a bad experience. One that could've been avoided with just a little regard for human life and safety. Priceline website says no amendments; however this past year of the Coronavirus was unexpected. As we all know, it was a deadly global pandemic. The whole world had to adjust. Other businesses I was using for a family event were accommodating and changed our dates from 2020 to 2021. I didn't want my money back. The destination hotel was willing to change the date; however, they just needed Priceline to send a change the date authorization. Priceline refused. Together we lost thousands of dollars. The destination hotel said if we had come straight to them they could have changed the date with no problem, but because we went through Priceline they just needed a change the date authorization. The insurance we purchased also did not apply to a pandemic. Do your research.

Worse company ever. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. It would be 0 star. Takes hours to get to even talk to an agent and they keep referring me to the airlines and yet the airlines can’t do anything about it. I had a death in the family and I called Priceline 2 weeks before the flight and they wouldn’t let me change my flight and pay the difference. They kept placing blame on the airlines so I bought me a new one way ticket on top of the ticket I bought from Priceline. Then I get an email saying my ticket home was cancelled because I didn’t use the ticket to get here. So I lost 500$ for the round trip ticket then I paid 300$ for the one way here and now I have to pay another 400$ plus to get home all because Priceline would not work with me to make it to the funeral. You wait hours on hold and the agents you talk to play the refer you game because they have the answer! Priceline is terrible and if I could give no stars that’s what this rating would be.

After booking a flight with Priceline, due to unfortunate events I was unable to make my flight, that's happening a week from now. To begin I was on hold from this company for an hour. After finally being reached out to by an agent, I learned that this company obviously doesn't train their staff at all. I had the unfortunate luck of having a customer service rep, who didn't seem to know anything about the company she worked for. When she did offer a solution and I inquired about it, she proceeded to say that she misinformed me and gave me incorrect information. (She basically tried to give me something, to get me off the phone.) So I asked to be transferred, the women didn't even want to transfer me!
After going back and forth with her she finally did and hung up in my face. Let's keep in mind that I didn't even want a refund for my ticket, due to life events, I just needed to change the dates. I would recommend this company to anyone, who doesn't have unexpected life events happen. As I am writing this, I'm on another hour hold, to speak to a specialist, that I hope can help me!

Worst customer survice and I NEVER write negative reviews. I purchased a round trip flight through Priceline for me and my partner, and was told by American Airlines to contact Priceline for my ticket info because they couldn’t find it in their system. My partner was able to check in no problem but I was not. After wait to talk with someone for 2 hrs I was told by Priceline I need to contact American Airlines because it was their airline. I told them multiple times that American told me to contact them but they kept saying that was wrong and they will not issue a refund. I didn’t even mention I wanted a refund- I didn’t, I just want to fly home. After a few times get the same answers of “I can’t do anything about that.” I asked to speak to the supervisor in hope they might be able to look more details up. I was then placed on hold for 11 hrs and 15 mins. Oh yeah, and this ‘lost tickets’ happened going there and coming back.
So going, my plane took off without me because they couldn’t find my ticket in the system and I had to wait in a long line to speak with an agent (this was American Airlines issue) and the second time I tried to fix the lost ticket issue before I got to the airport but I got no help and the amount of time I was on hold to speak to a supervisor from Priceline was 11 hours and 15 mins-my plane would have taken off by then. Therefore my only option left was to get to the airport early. I went to the airport 7 hrs before my departure time so I didn’t miss my flight. Getting someone on the phone to correct the issue has been a nightmare. They are quick to take your money and refuse to service your needs after. They are refusing to answer customer calls. Changes to any agreement will NOT be negotiated if it does not benefit Priceline. Although company policies are included in their rental agreement, it is well hidden within the extensive legal mumbo jumbo which, as to be sure, you will not read it! As many of you know, because of Covid-19, rental cars are hard to obtain and prices are astronomical!
In my case, I returned a rental car early. A 3-day contract, which I believed necessary, as I was told by a vehicle service company that would be the amount of time required to repair my vehicle. The repair however was remarkably quick and I was anxious to return the noisy and uncomfortable Nissan Versa back to the rental company and did so in under 24 hours. I found out the rental company did not charge for the unused days that I had to go through PRICELINE for a refund. Here I found out that PRICELINE would not negotiate even though they knew $454.64 is highly outrageous for a bottom-line car! PRICELINE does not care about customers even in these trying times. If this is their way of helping get the economy rolling again then my advise is to steer clear of PRICELINE!!!

After multiple times of Priceline asking for my credit card information before hand, they continued to tell me I didn't book the room in time. This is when I went to Hotels.com and reserved a room with no problems, until I check my email to see that Priceline has charged me for a room in an entirely different state and charged my card although the room was "unavailable". I called the hotel and the number was DISCONNECTED. I called Priceline and after they avoided the situation entirely, they took no fault and put all of the blame on me. Did not even negotiate a way to make amends or protect their customers.

I have been booking with Priceline for over 15 years. But recently I started having issues with them stating that my card had been rejected and to try another card when I tried booking my reservations for travel. I called my bank and there was nothing wrong with my card, the funds were in the account and there were no fraud alerts on my account, as Priceline had stated. Every time I called Priceline they gave me a different story. First they said they were getting a fraud alert and that was what triggered the decline of my card, then they said that I had disputed a charge which I had not, then they said that there were no hotels available.
I could not get a straight answer from anyone. I checked with my bank several times and they stated there were no fraud alerts on my account, I even took a security freeze off my credit report thinking that might be the reason, and they still would not let me reserve a reservation.. They still will not reveal to me the actual reason for not allowing me to use their service. My fiance even tried booking something with his credit card in my name and they would not allow him to reserve a reservation in my name, but when he tried booking the same reservation in his name with his credit card it was excepted.
Priceline is discriminating against me for some unknown reason, I feel. I prefer booking with them because they do have the best rates, but this has left a very bad taste in my mouth and has caused bit of wonder as to why they choose not to let me use their service. I have done nothing wrong to warrant this type of treatment. I feel I am being discriminated against for some unknown reason because there is no other reason for this to be happening.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EVEN THE MANAGERS WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! We reached out to Priceline CS because the reservation we made a month ago to RAMADA WEST BALTIMORE, MD was a hoax! We made a reservation for a "Non-Smoking" room and we were so disappointed that after driving for 3-4 hours, the Rude front desk at RAMADA insisted that they only have a "SMOKING ROOM", so whatever happened to our reservation? THE HOTEL WAS EVEN DIRTY, VERY FAR FROM PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE! There were 5 of us complaining on that day. We were so tired that we decided to just checked in to another hotel (TRU BY HILTON) which is far way better than RAMADA.
When we got back in NJ, we called Priceline CS but none of them were able to help us with the FULL REFUND we are requesting. They kept repeating the same lines about policy when we did not sign any disclosure at all and they did not deliver at all in giving us what we have reserved a month ago. The two managers kept saying that there's nothing that they can do. So what happened to our money? Is this how you deliver customer service? Please do not use Priceline anymore because they are even partnered with poor type of hotels plus their customer service line are all rude and won't even help you at all! They do not understand the value of reservation and the word "Delivery of service".
We could have accepted it had they have delivered what we have reserved a month ago but RAMADA DID NOT AT ALL, for PRICELINE to insists that it's the Hotel's discretion. How could that be when in the first place, what we have reserved was not provided at all. Talk about Policy when you guys are following and delivering the policy yourself. Walk the talk, Priceline! And better get other customer service team/people because the one you currently have (offshore/MNL) needs re-training. The customer support and supervisors (Kaye & Klay from MNL) doesn't know how to handle complaints with good customer service. Klay even hang up on me after telling me repeatedly that there's nothing that Priceline can do.
So, is this how you guys get money from people? Getting money from your customers without delivering what we they have reserved for? And telling us several times, that It's RAMADA's discretion? So, customers become the victims, had we knew that this is how Priceline take care of customers, we should have not use Priceline at all. But we will tell all our friends to NEVER USE PRICELINE AT ALL!

My husband, 18-month old baby, and I booked a trip for Memorial Day weekend. We bundled our hotel and rental car with Priceline. Upon flying into our destination, we found out that the rental car that we ALREADY PAID FOR wasn’t available. In fact, their exact words were “we ran out of cars.” So we scrambled to another car company and got another one, they only had SUVs left so that’s $300 out of pocket. It’s fine, whatever. Not the end of the world.
We go to dinner on the way toward our hotel. Head into our hotel at 8 p.m, a little past our baby's bedtime. Ready with all our luggage to check in when we found out our room reservation has been “cancelled by Priceline.” The hotel informs us that Priceline overbooks, then cancels reservations based on getting more money for the same room from other customers. They said Priceline was supposed to notify us. Had we been notified would we be here right now? My husband was on the phone with Priceline for over an hour with no resolution. They claimed they couldn’t relocate us to a different hotel for the night. So after a very frustrating phone call, we both start calling other hotels in the area. Given that it’s a holiday weekend, the ONLY hotel we could get cost us $750 A NIGHT. So our previously paid-for trip ending up costing over $1800 last minute. We checked into this exorbitantly expensive hotel past 10 p.m. All thanks to Priceline. Unethical is a major understatement here.

I had to call over 7 times to talk to someone about my issues, and the agents hung up on me 3 times. Out of the 7 times there was no one that could help me resolve my issue. The problem I was calling about was that when I was looking for a hotel I requested on for 4 adults, as it states in my itinerary. Your website states that this room would accommodate 4 people, but the front desk staff at the Marriott informed me that this room was only for 2 people not 4, as stated in your listing. I called the customer service number for Priceline and your agents were not able to find another room anywhere in Mobile or Pensacola.
After speaking to one agent I was told I would receive a call right back after she spoke with the hotel, but no one ever called back. Two of the four people had to sleep on the floor. When I called Priceline Customer Service again in the morning to try and get this resolved, an agent told me that because I agreed to a room for 2 people a king bed, it was my fault. I informed them that I searched for a room for 4 adults and thought I would get a room with a pullout couch or something. Your organization lied to me and then refused to give me a refund for not being able the fulfill my stay. This is unacceptable for such a large organization. The hotel room was not clean at all. Which you'd expect with covid that it would have been cleaned even more than usual. Brown color splattered stuff all under the cabinet and sink in the bathroom that at first I questioned if it could be blood. Whatever it was it’s disgusting that it was even there, as it shows it wasn’t properly cleaned. A unused bed covered in dirt under the blanket like it had never been cleaned. I have pictures of everything and can even provide time stamps that show the pictures were taken right after we checked in. I trusted the reviews and ratings to think I was going to a decent and clean hotel. ESPECIALLY being the Hampton, other guests in other rooms being loud all night causing us to wake up.
No garbage bags to be found so the whole stay we took our own garbage and child's diapers to the trash ourselves which is such a huge inconvenience!. Never mind the fact that there’s a pandemic and the toilet paper roll left in there was already used!!!! It was not relaxing at all and I felt like it was no different than staying in a cheap motel. A hospital floor is cleaner than this hotel. After this disgusting experience, I went ahead and contacted Priceline directly as I was so upset about the whole thing. My experience with Priceline was horrible. I will never buy from Priceline again and I will spread the word so that other people do not use Priceline either unless they want to be misled and ripped off. My fiancé and I are 19, and we bought plane tickets and rented a car through Priceline. We rented from Dollar through Priceline, we were skeptical about whether we would even be able to rent being 19, but after putting in our age and dates it gave us a list of cars from places we could rent with the options we put in. We were happy that we were able to rent with this agency being 19 because the Priceline website allowed us to. We saw that there were certain age restrictions with some locations, but not once were we informed that the location we were renting from would have a restriction.
We got to our destination and went to pick up our rental car. The Dollar agency said they can't since we are 19 and they only rent to 20+. The gentleman working that evening checked with a supervisor and stated that they don't know why Priceline even let us rent knowing that was their policy. So then we were stuck at the airport 2 hours away from where we needed to go and with no transportation for the rest of the trip.
The gentleman at Dollar told us to call Priceline to get a full refund, so we did and the representative told us there would be a cancellation fee somewhere between $40-$50. We asked why considering the fact that we aren't cancelling because we want to. Only because we have to because the website mislead us. We asked to speak with a supervisor and we got a call back about a hour later. Unfortunately we were loading onto the bus to get to our destination so we missed the call. We tried calling back to get a supervisor but every time we called we had a 4 hour long wait and then another hour long wait. We have not yet to receive a call from a supervisor. I just received a email today saying out refund will be issues in some business days. $40-$50 was taken out. **

I booked a flight and rental car with Priceline for a business trip. The trip was cancelled due to covid outbreak and the plant shutting down. I logged in and cancelled my flight with no issues. I clicked on the button to cancel the rental car and the system pops up with a window telling me that I need to call. Great, I call and get Ken (they can't give employee numbers because then you could identify who they are) who tells me that the agreement with the partner (their policy) does not allow for refunds. I ask for a supervisor, Ken tells me he can only forward to a senior agent.
Next I get a senior agent who basically say the same thing. So I asked for a copy of the cancellation policy and a receipt for the rental car since I was able to cancel my flight. She informs me that they can send the receipt that breaks down the flight and car individual cost. I then ask to speak to her supervisor since she has stated that the partner policy does not allow for cancellation of rental cars. While on the phone with her I pulled up Priceline help which refers a customer to the individual partners policy for cancellation (in this case Thrifty). I find that Thrifty does allow for cancellations, so I asked for a cancellation policy for Priceline. She could not provide a policy (there is not one, by the way).
I finally get a (supposed) supervisor. The supervisor tells be basically the same thing, but goes on to say that they do have a policy, and that the policy is just a statement on the finally agreement or trip screen. So I asked if the policy is presented to the customer before the page that he keep sending to me which just has a statement that is after the completed booking. Through the entire process he keep telling me they had a policy, but in fact that is not true. All they have is the statement added after booking. Their partner companies do however have policies on cancellations which Priceline even shows you through their own site. So basically Priceline is charging for services they know will not be used and could care less about the customer and any issues.

New York City has now begun toll less bridge crossings. the license plate is read and the registered owner is sent a bill. there is no other way to pay. Sounds not to bode well with rental car scenarios? One cannot pay the toll at the crossings. On my trip, I made 2 crossings, the Lincoln tunnel and the Throggs Neck bridges. At the rental car counter, there were no face to face disclosures that this company imposes a $6.95 EZ-Pass transponder fee for each crossing! If I could give zero stars I would. First, I booked my stay on Priceline. There was some type of glitch with their site and the wrong dates were booked. I called to correct it, priceline said they could ONLY refund if Management would grant an exemption.... Priceline claimed that management would not grant the exemption. I assumed it was an issue with Priceline. But my husband's in a fishing tournament, he really wanted his family with him, so I rebook at the same hotel (it's closest to the dock) Through a totally different site.
Upon arrival, I was denied a room, due to a $150 incidental fee, that was not disclosed by either website. This is a 2 star hotel, I'm staying for one night and I have to pay a deposit equal to 105% of the room cost???? ($129 plus tax)???? So when I ask for my money back he told me to leave, when I refused he called 911 on me, but he was stealing my money.
My husband's fishing partner has attended this same tourney for 8 yrs, stayed at this SAME hotel all 8 years and this year he too had the police called on him due to challenging the incidental fee. Oh and did I mention we are POC???? While arguing with the clerk 3 older ** men said that when they arrived he did the same thing.... yet no mention of a $150 on ANY SITE....
Here is a link to two videos of how they seem to treat their customers of COLOR. **. Even the officer who responded was irritated as he too looked on multiple booking site and on the Travelodge home site and NOWHERE is a $150 incidental fee even mentioned.... To make matters worse, they had the manager's card in the lobby, I call to speak with them and the same jerk said he was no longer there and refused to give me the new manager's information.
So I call Travelodge National Customer Service and start telling them what happened, as soon as I mentioned the word Police, they informed me that when the police are involved they wont get involved. After a very choice word conversation and escalation to a supervisor, I still had to remind them that I had a recording of the incident and was recoding the conversation that we were having. So I asked, "BASICALLY, he calls 911, no one is arrested or anything, he steal the customer's money and basically you don't get involved?," because I can't wait to post that to my social media pages.... Needless to say 2 complaints have been filed, but still no money returned.
I finally filed a dispute with my credit union, whom after they see all the video, emails, screenshots, incident reports, I'm sure will refund my money. BUT THIS CLERK, ruined my weekend vacation and left me. My husband and 2 daughters stranded over 2 hours from home with a $129 room booked and paid for, but nowhere to stay....
NEVER WILL I EVER STAY IN ANOTHER WYNDHAM BRAND HOTEL. This one management team has ruined it with me and their whole brand of hotels. If in Clearlake CA DON'T NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL, especially if you're **, it won't be a good experience.... Priceline may have deals, but it's not worth it when they make a mistake, Please do your homework well when you use them, especially when you have children. THEY DON'T CARE!!!!
Original Review: I book a trip for my family for 7/16/21, two of the children can't go, so I call to get a refund on their flight, mind you we leave in July, but Priceline no refund give a credit np, but in the kids name and last 1 year, where are they going in a year. Why the credit can't be put in my name the person who paid for it. Priceline is a piece of work, I would never use them again, they not good to customer and don't try to do right by us. Never and I strongly suggest that no one else go though them ever.

This is also posted in review with Avis! I am posting this review for Priceline too! Here is the story... I reserved and paid for a luxury vehicle through Priceline only to find out when I get to the Orlando MCO airport Avis location that they no longer had my luxury car available. The rep at the counter said he can give me a larger vehicle and discount the price because Frontier had a deal and the car shortage wasn’t my fault. I accepted and told him I already paid the reservation when he asked for credit card to place a “hold” on it for incidentals.
I inquired how I would get difference I paid Priceline at a higher amount and he said I would be refunded it back. He assured me I wasn’t getting charged again for the full price of this replacement vehicle. Nope! I was charged after all on my bank debit card from Priceline and my AMEX card directly from Avis and now it’s been almost two months and neither Priceline nor Avis has given me my money (almost $600) back to me for paying for two reservations when it should of only been one! I have been way overcharged for my rental and I want my money back or it’s criminal!
I called Avis and they told me to call Priceline. I called Priceline three times already and they tell me they are trying to get through to a rep at Avis! Due to high call volumes Priceline can never get an agent at Avis on the phone! What a mess!! Where is my money you received in overpayment AVIS??? Are you in practice of stealing customers money or you just don’t care about customer service and resolutions?? Your reps need better training to ensure customers don’t lose money for something that was not their fault!
You have my money Avis and I want it all back plus interest or I will filing police charges for theft and reporting fraud to my bank!!! I want someone to contact me ASAP regarding my issue or at least contact Priceline to get this resolved ASAP so they can confirm I directly paid you too when I was told I wouldn’t have to! I’ve held onto my receipts, itinerary, bank statements and all showing my payments and no one cares to even look or ask for these items from me on both ends even when I have all the proof! I’m in the financial business and I know this is unethical and bad customer service! Email me to get this resolved once and for all! Geesh!

I called to check rates and availability at Orlando Marriott. Did not even realize I was talking to Priceline I thought it was Marriott booking. I was told the rate was 144 and there were only three rooms left. I explained to the agent that I wasn’t actually sure if I was going to need a room or not but I was concerned that maybe there wouldn’t be a room left if I didn’t book. He told me that I can go ahead and book the room at the rate of 189 to include free cancellation. He advised that when I found out I definitely needed the room, I could call back and change the rate back to the 144 rate without the added charge for free cancellation.
I was shocked to hear that because if that was there policy, I would think that everyone would do that and just call the day before and say they want to change the rate so it seemed crazy. I asked him several times to repeat it and he assured me that that was what I would be able to do. I asked him if he would make a note on my reservation that he told me this and he also assured me that he would do that. So I made the reservation.
A few days later I confirmed that I definitely needed the room so I tried to call back to get my rate changed. Four or five times I called and went through pressing the appropriate numbers to get to the right place, was put on hold with music and disconnected. So I decided to call the hotel directly. That was when I realized that I booked through Priceline and not the Marriott. Of course they could not help me at the hotel so I tried another Number that I found for Priceline and got an answer. The agent pulled up my reservation and I explain to him what I wanted to do and he said that that absolutely could not be done and that my credit card was already charged and it could not be changed at this point.
Also my credit card was charged $255 which apparently included fees and taxes and I don’t know what else. I said to the agent, so you’re telling me that I was lied to by someone in your company and all he kept saying was that was not their policy and he could not do that. So I just canceled my reservation and he said I would get two separate refunds on my credit card and it would take up to 3 to 10 days. This was yesterday so hopefully that actually does happen but I would never ever use Priceline again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to use it. If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn’t!

I'm not happy at all with PRICELINE... I planned and booked a trip to Jamaica through Priceline, in which my flight was canceled by the airline and no one from Priceline or United airline had consideration enough to even call or email to notify me of this. Which is due to no fault of mine... It wasn't until I called to add another person to the flight that I find out that my flight was canceled...very inconsiderate. Had I not called, I would have never known.
With this being said the first representative had me under the impression that I could cancel my entire trip due to this cancelation, including the hotel/resort...not true. I was only able to cancel the rental car (which was non-refundable after a certain time) and was refunded and I was refunded for the flight (which was non-refundable after a certain), however I am being forced to pay for the hotel/resort part of the trip because that part was non-refundable Priceline is saying per the hotel/resort.
Every representative and manager that I have spoken to these last past 3 weeks said that they would call me back once they heard back from the resort...they didn't. I've called over 20x during the last past 3 weeks to resolve this only to find a email saying the hotel/resort is not willing to refund me and a email to do a survey. I am truly disappointed in the service, lack of communication and the lack of willingness to compromise and to resolve this matter with it being no fault of my own (the customer). I'm being forced to pay for the hotel/resort and now I have to find a new way to a hotel/resort that is not willing to compromise on this situation. I personally will not book another vacation through Priceline again or EVER book a flight with United airlines. This has been a very bad experience and with this being said I feel the experience was very POOR one.

That is not true, it is 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. After being bounced around and waiting for calls back for 6 hours I finally spoke with "Kaye". Who again told me my rental car reservation is unchangeable. I simply wanted a rental agency that is located in the terminal. She told me she is going to have to let me go because this call is ''unproductive". The information they provided about the rental company is not accurate. I booked a hotel stay in a 2 bedroom suite. It was advertised as a 2 bedroom suite but when I got to the hotel they didn't even have that type of suite on the premises. It actually was 2 separate hotel rooms. It was only due to the Hotel's General Manager doing everything she could that we even got rooms next to each other. I showed the Manager the site's description of the supposed suite & she was upset because it was offering a suite that her Hotel doesn't offer. She said she was going to have to contact them to take it down. The Manager & staff were terrific and went out of their way to make up for Priceline's advertising.

In December 2019 we got tickets for the Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh, PA and we booked a hotel through Tickets at work which went through Priceline for the better deal for the one night we planned to stay after the concert. Well of course the pandemic hit and concert was cancelled so I have been going back and forth with the hotel and tickets at work and even Priceline since they were the person they used to get my money back for the hotel since everything was shut down at the time the concert would have went on. The hotel has been wonderful through the whole process and even released my money back to Priceline since September 2020.
Priceline refuses to give my money back to me and even when I go through tickets at work they keep coming back and telling me the Priceline keeps denying to refund my money. I will no longer use tickets at work or Priceline since all they care about is making money rather than helping come up with a solution even if it is not refunding my money but to let me use the night for another time!!!

I made a reservation for a hotel on Priceline, selected to pay on check-in and change my reservation. They charged me the day before my credit card statement was due without my knowledge incurring interest fees, told me they didn't have proof of my selection and therefore would not fix the problem and that I would have to call the hotel. Upon calling the hotel I found out my reservation was unchangeable on top of charging me pretty much right away. So I am out an extra $50, half my party has nowhere to stay for the event we are going to and will probably have to pay even more money for Priceline's theft. The entire time I dealt with customer service they tried to get me to get off the phone and said it wasn't their fault they screwed up my plans that have been made months in advance. It is cheaper, and way more efficient to shoot yourself in the head than deal with this crap company.

We booked a hotel through Priceline. When we showed up to our reservation, the hotel was overbooked and they sent us away, saying they were already full before we ever booked our room, and it was Priceline's fault. We tried contacting Priceline and the hold time was more than 40 min. When I finally got through, I explained the situation to the customer service rep who tried to contact the hotel for verification. She claimed she couldn’t get ahold of the hotel because it was the wrong number and she was calling a hotel in New York (rather than Phoenix).
After going back and forth 3 times, she asked me what their phone number was, and I confirmed that she was calling the correct number. I thought it was odd, the area code was an Arizona area code, yet she still said it was calling New York? I had my husband call the number and he got through just fine... twice. I told the customer service rep this and she started defending herself saying she wasn’t lying.
I told her it was fine, we just needed them to find us a new hotel for the night. She said she couldn’t until she verified our reservation. After 30 min of this back-and-forth conversation, I was starting to feel like she did not care at all about our situation. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to, or a manager. She told me her managers would not answer even if I tried contacting them, and would not transfer me to anyone else. I hung up and tried calling back, hoping to get a different customer service rep.
After another 40 minutes of waiting on hold, my husband got through to a really nice customer service rep. Unfortunately, because it was so late at that point, the relocations office was closed and there was nothing she could do to help our situation. She said something along the lines of: “I noticed you called a while ago and spoke to someone about this same issue. I am so sorry, she should have forwarded you to the relocations office while they were still open, I have no idea why she didn’t do that”. She told us that unfortunately nothing could be resolved until Monday (it was Friday night), and that we would have to either book another place on our own or drive home.
At this point, I am very frustrated, and we are waiting to see if they will even give us a refund. I went onto Priceline’s Instagram page to read the comments and see if anyone else had problems with them. *EVERY SINGLE COMMENT that was made visible to me was a negative review. This company is a scam, don’t give them any of your money.

The agent assured me that he found what I was looking for.
After booking the accommodations, I arrived to find something completely different than what I asked for. After confronting the hotel’s front desk, they assured me that they had nothing like I described and paid for. We did not stay the night and found a better location that would meet our wants and needs. After contacting Priceline about this dispute, they tried to argue with me about what I asked for, I quickly told that if I was on a recorded line with the first sales person he couldn’t they go over the recording to hear exactly what I asked for. Priceline still tried to charge me for 3 nights of a hotel we did not stay in. I quickly called my credit card company to dispute the charges Priceline tried to charge me for. Others had reported they had been in line for 3 hours AND when they reached the front, they did not have the type/style of car they reserved.
I tried calling Dollar Rental and got nowhere. I called Priceline and there was a 2 hour wait, they scheduled a call back at 1:30a. I answered, but got nowhere. They would not reimburse, either full or partial. I felt their end of the contract was not upheld. I pre-paid to AVOID this issue and yet could not get a car for 3 hours past the time I had reserved it (if I would have gotten one at all, another review reported they closed by the time they reached the front of the line) after getting off of a 3 hour flight with two small children. You would have better luck using Uber or just going to another dealer. Many people in line left and went to other counters to rent another car, despite having already pre-paid for their rental (because there were no lines at the other car rental counters!). I called Priceline and the system told me there was a 45 minutes wait time and that I will received a call back and I accepted that however, I drove to the open DRAC to see if they could do something for me in the meantime; once at the new DRAC located on 4775 Swenson Street Las Vegas, NV 89119 I find out at the counter they couldn't help because all vehicles were booked and there was no vehicles available in any office in Las Vegas.
I drove back home and waited for Priceline to call me, I explained the issue and ask for a refund and they told me that in order to issue a refund they need it to contact DRAC and confirm it is closed which I find illogical since you can't confirm if it is closed when there is no one to pick up the phone, anyways I told Priceline to do whatever they need to do and they said, they will call me back in an hour which they did and the answer was "we can't get a hold of no-one at Dollar." I rented a vehicle through Priceline in January. I prepaid for a Mid-Size SUV and it came with a guarantee because I prepaid the reservation in full. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, Priceline’s vendor partner told me they did not have the size vehicle I rented. They told me that they only had a standard SUV and I would have to pay an upgrade fee to get the vehicle. When I questioned this and showed my guaranteed reservation, the rep just told me either I pay the upgrade fee or lose the money I already paid because it was a prepaid rental and it would not be refunded. I was held hostage now needing a car and not wanting to throw away the $252 I already paid, I paid the $159 for the upgrade and fees for the 3 days I had the rental.
Once I left, I called Priceline to see why this happened. I spoke to a very nice rep who told me I should not have had to pay, that they have an agreement with their partners to upgrade for free in these cases. She then told me what I needed to do to get this money refunded. She sent me an email where it clearly stated I should not have to have paid extra. The email instructed me to send a copy of my final receipt to Priceline and outline what happened. Which I did when I got the final receipt upon returning the vehicle. I was then told it would take 7-10 days to investigate. 10 days later I received an email saying since I used the vehicle they would not be refunding any of the money.
So I called in and spoke to a rep who told me my case was actually verified and they were trying to get their partner vendor to refund me. I have continued to call back once a week and just keep getting put off by them. Finally today I received an email saying they are refunding me $17. I don’t even know where they got $17 but it is unacceptable. I have filed with the BBB and am warning everyone to STAY AWAY from Priceline. However, when I arrived at the rental car company (Fox Rent A Car Miami) another terrible company, Fox didn't accept my comprehensive insurance policy and refused to give me the car unless I purchase their own insurance policy. I explained Priceline sold me the rental and give me the option to use my own policy but their answer was that they have their own company policy and not bound by Priceline. I called Priceline asking for a refund but they refused to return the money. Fox refused to give me the car and Priceline stole my $375!!!

I’ve rented cars using Priceline 4 times in the last year. I had problems with my most recent rental and used the Priceline online text support to try to get my problem resolved. My issue was that I was overcharged $50 (410 vs 360) on my 2 week car rental from Enterprise. I hadn’t noticed that when I made my reservation it listed my pricing as “estimated”. With previous rentals, I never had an issue. The online support person told me that the price was only estimated and likely when I went to pay the cars were in higher demand. Hmm. I was pretty aggravated with her response.
Next morning, I returned to the Enterprise Car Rental location where I picked up my car to try to get my original agreement. Turned out that the Enterprise agent had switched my reservation number with another customer. Once he realized the mistake, he corrected my reservation and I received my rental car agreement as what I had booked online. Lesson to me: don’t sign off on your rental car in the parking lot and do request a printout and review your agreement at the front desk inside. Also, don’t expect Priceline to help if you have a problem. The woman I dealt with was also a bit rude and condescending.

But at the time I had to cancel they sent me a contract that somewhere they protected their back by writing that is non refundable. At the time of purchase it was said, "Enter your credit card, your credit card will not be charged until you pick up." This was enough for me to feel safe. Not knowing that some businesses are abusing the pandemic situation to change their policy and get paid anyway. Don't use their website because they are no honest.

When booking a hotel through PayPal, I received a notification after I approved the payment through Paypal and was redirected back to Priceline and that read "oops, your room is no longer available, please try again." This happened 3 times. I used the credit card option on the 4th time and it went through right away. I also booked a 2nd night at a different location with the credit card and it went through right away. I always use the non-refundable option because of the cost savings. When checking my email the next morning, I noticed 3 confirmations, 2 for the first night and 1 for the second.
One of the first nights was for a stay that was "no longer available" according to their website message. I called into the toll free number and explained the website error and was reminded that these trips are non-refundable. I reminded them that it was a Priceline system error and not a user error. This was not accepted and I was treated with lack of respect. I counted 30 times during the conversation with 2 different people that these trips are non-refundable. I have no problem paying for any error that I produce. I just don't like paying for the companies error. Being a Priceline "VIP" doesn't amount to much if there is a system error. Be aware! Their solution was to call in and confirm or wait for an email. Do not believe the error message. It is very disappointing but not surprising. Priceline has always been my way of booking. I am definitely looking into other options in the future.

I booked a trip last night and because things happen part of my hotel was questioned by the bank as fraud. I quickly stated, "No it wasn't." And they cancel the hotel part of my stay. When I called I got the run around and was told to rebook the hotel only. So, I did that and it wouldn't let me book the hotel. So again calling and getting nowhere, I was told they could help me but it was going to be over a 100 more. I said forget and book a different hotel. Again, it stated I was going to pay for hotel and pay resorts fee when I get to the hotel. Nope, again another error. Please don't ever book with them. So I understand that Priceline isn't responsible for the current pandemic but if there is any decency left in big business, they certainly don't know how to show it. I had a reservation at the Hilton in Panama City, Panama, but upon arriving at the airport I was sequestered to a quarantine hotel because I tested positive. While waiting to be transported, I cancelled the reservation. I ALSO cancelled the reservation with the hotel directly. When trying to get a refund, Priceline said they could not confirm with anyone at Hilton(????). I got through several times without issue. Once released, I went to the Hilton and got numbers for management, who incidentally were 1000 times more helpful than any Priceline staff. After all that, Priceline kept the funds and there was no dispersal to the Hilton as confirmed by the general manager. Priceline is not worth using, don't know why I ever did. I then went to the hotel directly and booked a room for 10.00 cheaper than my supposed VIP deal. As I then checked my email for the confirmation from the hotel I found one from Priceline that said they had indeed booked my room. Surprisingly. I used Priceline’s chat and they just responded with, "We can’t understand your question please rephrase." One of my responses was “dispute charges”. Still they responded with, "We can’t understand. Please rephrase."
No help there. I then found a customer service number. I was helped by Klay. She told me that unbeknownst to me I had seen the charge and accepted it. She said she could not help me. I asked for her supervisor. She said she was the supervisor. I then asked for someone above her. She put someone on who said she would be the last person I would speak to and she was a supervisor as well. She told me she is a supervisor at her home over herself. No help from Kay either. I am left with paying more and hopefully getting a refund from the hotel or paying for the room twice!
No regard for me using them all the time or that I called within minutes of finding out. Total of maximum of 15 minutes. Also supposedly the chat I had is in another department and no way to look into that. They used to do this years ago and I thought they had fixed this way of getting your account charged when they hope you didn’t check back. Needless to say I will never use Priceline again. What you see is not what you get booking on Priceline. Advertised amenities turn out to not be available and it costs you more money in the long run. And if you need help expect to wait hours for a callback. They are not equipped to handle high customer call volume. We were stranded in Dallas due to weather and flights being canceled. There are no rideshares or taxis operating, so we opted to book a hotel that has a shuttle to and from the airport.
We call to schedule the shuttle after we land and the hotel tells us they are not running the shuttle. I call Priceline to be booked somewhere else bc at this point we have no way out of the airport. It was a 3 hour hold time and they said they’d call us back. They called us 4 hours later. At that point we weren’t sure whether they would honor the cancellation so we already ended up renting a car. Which cost 2x as much as the hotel.
Priceline’s solution was a 20% refund of the hotel stay (which came to $11). The car rental was $98 after fees. The car rental could have been avoided if we’d gotten a call back sooner, but we were tired, cold, hungry and just plain desperate for a place to sleep. They also gave us a 10% off coupon off a future car rental. Which we tried to use the next day. And it didn’t work.
The next day our flight got canceled (again) after we returned the car. So we ended up booking another hotel and car through Priceline. The coupon did not work. It was only for “express deals.” When we tried to book a so called “express deal” it told us “no deal” and made us book at the regular rate. So coupon is useless at this point and it expires way before we will even have enough money to travel again. What’s even better is that when we got to the hotel, they wouldn’t check us in bc they had a power outage. Even though we had already paid for the room and had a confirmation.
Now it’s 6 degrees out, everything is shut down and we’re sleeping in the car to stay warm. Everyone is stuck here and rooms are hard to find. We call Priceline again, and we wait over an hour for a callback. We ended up finding another (more expensive) hotel to book directly at bc honestly I have zero faith in Priceline making this right in any meaningful way.
We finally receive the callback and they canceled the reservation. but they acted like they were doing as a favor. I ask if there’s another department that handles complaints and they transfer me to customer relations. I tell the whole story and the guy says there’s nothing more that they can do other than the 10% coupon (that didn’t work); the refund of $10 that didn’t come close to covering the unnecessary cost of a $100 rental car and the refund for a hotel we weren’t even allowed to check into.
Priceline really needs to do a better job of keeping up to date with hotel policies and current events impacting travel. At the very least there should have been a clear disclaimer saying to contact the hotel and make sure XYZ is available first. And they need to do better at compensating their customers for bad experiences. We’ve spent close to an additional $400 on this trip thanks to being stranded in the layover city. And if Priceline had better systems, we could have easily spent half of that or less.

They said they had no one to clean it. I left the garage to find out the interior lights and panel would not work or blink, and sometimes the headlights would flash on and off. I tried calling Hertz waiting over 3 hours with no response. I called Priceline the 2nd day of the rental - I was told to wait 10 days before they could change out the car.
I told them it was only a 4 day rental - they said it's policy. Since then, the car has been returned, Priceline has never called me back and when I called them they just come up with another excuse. I called and got a supervisor on day 29 who told me they could do nothing as they had contacted Hertz. I called Hertz and found out Priceline never called them and many things I was told were simply, not true. Priceline could have provided or called Hertz 'special' number to help but instead did nothing. Truth be told, Priceline never called me back over the last 29 days as promised, and so it is not hard to assume they cannot be trusted.
