My friend and I bought a ticket with Priceline to go to Cairo Egypt. We were suppose to come home on 9/22 and we got an email saying tickets was changed to 9/24. Contacted company right away. Put us on hold for 4 hours and then told us they put a request to change our ticket. Never heard from them. Contacted them again and waited another 3 hours and as I write this I have been on hold with them with no hope to get a reservation to get home. We are two American women stranded in Egypt because of their lack of customer service. They are dishonest and the worst company ever. Ladies stay away from this terrible company.

Then when I got to the hotel it took them another hour with them and the front desk to get their stupid card to work. They didn't even resolve the problem. The employees at the front desk did.

Priceline agent reserve a hotel for me during Hurricane Ida. The agent told me that the reservation was 120. Turns out I was overcharged 100 extra so the stay was $220 expensive and on top of it all the hotel room was unclean. I went down to hotel lobby to find no one was able to clean my room. I felt Priceline had horrible customer service because they only offer 15-20% discount on next hotel stay and refused to refund my money.. I will never use Priceline again to book a hotel room.

I ended up paying over $200 more total than if I would have booked the same dates through the hotel itself and knowing which hotel I picked. When I called Priceline, they would not make any changes or refunds. Don’t trust them.

The next day I desired to stay again and booked a room as I did before and when I got to the hotel they couldn’t find my reservation. But they did whatever they did and I got a room. Then I look at bank statement and was charge twice for the same night. Found out the reason they couldn’t find my room was because it wasn’t under my real name. It somehow booked the room as my name on the email name I used which was boss man. So who’s at fault here? The first night had no issue and the second night I wasn’t even aware of the name being under bossman.

I didn't realize that in my search came up AL instead of AR. I called within minutes and explained what happened and asked to cancel my reservation. They said they did and Priceline could email me back and give a refund. Priceline just emailed and said the hotel refused to accept the cancelation. If you are considering doing business with Priceline.. save yourself the heat and just pay the extra few dollars and go with a reputable company… here is my story thus far.. I am approximately 41 days or 6 weeks in with NO resolution… This is my 12th call since August 3, 2021 and each time I am told something different. I had a rental car that literally broke down on me and I received a replacement vehicle that I could NOT drive because the registration was expired. I was stopped by the police and advised that I should not continue to drive this car. I complained to Thrifty only to be told I MUST report this to Priceline for resolution.

I began contacting Priceline on August 3, 2021 and have continuously been given the “runaround” Ever since. Every call has ended with "I will email…. Dept and they will FollowUp with you directly".. only that the FollowUp has NEVER happened… I have documented my last 3 phone calls. 09/09/21 Priceline Sr Customer Relations Rep Cris - advised he will escalate to Priceline operations team because Thrifty was paid using Priceline voucher and he is unsure what is meant by previous representatives note “Thrifty will refund customer directly”.

09/13/21 - Marco Priceline no option for Priceline to process a refund.. can only email Thrifty but Priceline canNOT process a refund. Marco was also very rushed and rude. Customer disconnected call.. Called back for 3rd time on 09/13/21 - spoke Terri - advised she sees the notes but I need to speak with Customer Relations directly because she is unable to see emails.. transferred me to Ron - Sr. Agent - still waiting.

The airline informed me that I would have to go through Priceline to change the return flight. Priceline, however, is not taking any calls unless your traveling within 7 days. That's a little late to be handling people's flights is it not? I could not contact anyone in Priceline via chat, text or phone. That is horrible customer care and they either need to go out of business or they need to hire some more people. I can tell you now I am NEVER booking through them again! You can count on that.

To get to a person is almost impossible - the IVR will hang up if your phone number brings up a flight more than 14 days out. Had to call back numerous times to figure out how to get to a person then they had to transfer me to another unit - probably offshore. The rep sounded like a robot and couldn't understand my request. Also, I'm telling her what I'm reading on their website and she tells me I have to go to the airline's website - but the airline website send you directly back to Priceline - no accountability. I booked a hotel through Priceline on a summer deal. I got a very good rate on the hotel. After flying for 6 hours we got to the hotel, Ramada, and when I went to check in that immediately said that they were overbooked and had no rooms available. They gave me the number of the different hotel that had availability. I asked them about the price for the hotel and they said it would be the rate the hotel had available. They then told me I would need to contact Priceline and they would give me a refund. I contacted the hotel they gave me and they gave me a price of $179 a night and my rate thru Priceline was $67 a night. I called Priceline on the phone and explained my situation to them of having the hotel overbooked and asked them what are my options. We were on hold for about 15 minutes and Priceline came back and said, "We can refund you the money," and give me an extra $20 (I was grateful for refund).

It is now 11:30 at night, my wife and 2 daughters are without a hotel room, and the price is going to be over double for my 2 night stay. Priceline didn’t offer to help find another hotel room, or offer any other suggestions. Very disappointed with Priceline and Ramada for that matter. I had a similar experience with an overbook 3 years ago, where when I showed up at the hotel they explained to me that they had overbooked, but that they had arranged for us to stay at another hotel for the same price. They had taken care of the problem. Not very happy with Priceline because I booked the hotel through them, with a guaranteed rate, and I was not allowed to cancel or change my reservation, I’m assuming that this kind of problem would not happen. After long flights, late night arrivals and not any help would not recommend Priceline’s customer service.

If I could give Priceline 0 stars, I would. Our entire experience with them has been horrible. We booked our honeymoon flights through Priceline. When we arrived to the airport we found out that our flights had been changed and that Priceline had failed to inform us of this change (they actually sent us a confirmation email that day with the incorrect flights!). So, of course we missed our first flight. This lead to us making our own way through several airports over the course of 24 hours to get to our destination. We attempted to contact Priceline while we made our way to our destination to no avail. We were on hold for hours and after all that they disconnected the call. We never received any compensation for this.

Now let's talk about the flights home- after all this we decided to check on our returning flights to ensure that this did not happen a second time. Well, lo-and-behold, our flights were royally messed up again (thankfully we checked well before we were supposed to fly home). They had somehow managed to change our flights from St. Thomas to Portland (original) to San Juan to Portland. For those who don't know, St. Thomas is in the US Virgin Islands which does not require a passport for US citizens, and San Juan is in Puerto Rico which does require a passport. We literally had no way to even get to San Juan to return home. I don't understand how this could even happen.

We contacted Priceline customer service to try to change the flight to the original or similar St. Thomas to Portland flights. We waited on hold for over an hour while they attempted to find us other flights. While on hold, we decided to try to find flights on our end. We found several acceptable flights in a matter of minutes. Due to the ineptitude of the Priceline customer service employees, we decided to pursue a cancellation and refund instead of rescheduling the flights (especially since they were apparently unable to find any flights from St. Thomas on the day of our departure), and book our own flights home directly through the airline. After being on hold, multiple transfers, and being hung up on by Priceline customer service over a 4 hour period (while on our honeymoon) we finally were able to start the cancellation process. It was a complete nightmare from start to finish and I will NEVER use priceline again.

And there will be charge to me costing my trip more if I take the rental back at a later time which will happen because I am not sitting around an airport for 6.5 hours for my flight.. Not where I wanted to stay and it was a 2 star hotel! Also, the cost of the hotel in the "Express Deal" was the SAME EXACT PRICE on their website!

I called customer service 5 times total. 2 times on the same night of reservation and 3 times the day prior to checking in, because I was advised to call 24 hours prior to check in, by the representative that I spoke to the first time. Customer service NEVER helped me. In fact the last one I spoke to said that it looked like the prior representative had said I wanted to cancel my reservation! At NO TIME did I say I wanted to cancel my reservation. All I said was, I wanted a discount because of their website be misleading. Bottom line: it wasn't an Express Deal at all! DO NOT USE EXPRESS DEAL!!!

I paid a few extra dollars on my Priceline hotel reservation for cancelation protection. After taking payment Priceline sent the information for my reservation including cancelation policy. Turns out that I have to cancel one day before check in. I tried to cancel more than 24 hrs before check in time and still I was charged a full days stay as penalty. Furthermore I couldn't even keep the first day and cancel the second day, more than 48 hours ahead without canceling the entire reservation and incurring a 50% penalty on my hotel charges. With Priceline a day is apparently more than 24 hours. And the customer service discouraged speaking to the next level of supervision; putting me off to receive a later call that never came. Here I'm a "VIP" member. I'm done with Priceline.

The hotel, Super 8 by Wyndham Twin Peaks, Longmont Colorado was a terrible hotel with a lying owner who refused to authorize a refund. The hotel had no elevator, no Covid 19 protocol, no staff were wearing masks, the room was dirty and dated, towels thin and worn, carpet worn with burn holes and the parking lot was scary with drug dealer looking people and homeless people with shopping carts hanging around. Do not stay there or use Priceline. Any time I used Expedia, they made good on a bad hotel. Not the same with Priceline. Avoid the bait and switch tactics they use.

I didn't book through the website. I booked through the app, and I have a screenshot that shows the "ROOM AMENITIES" for this room lists them. So I booked a motel with Priceline for the first time a few days ago do you days before I left for my trip. When I talk to the booking agent I specifically said I'd like a motel with a pool. This is my daughters and I first vacation out and she wanted to go swimming and hang out in a motel pool. We even left a day early so she could spend the day swimming and whatnot. We get to this motel and I can tell right away. There's not going to be a swimming pool. It looks like one of them cheaper run down motels. And of course they didn't have a pool and their continental breakfast is a granola bar in a bag for you and half burnt coffee.

Our room was just horrible. Red stains on the bedsheets. The room smells so bad because I'm guessing they left the AC on the entire time so it just felt wet and it stank. I mean the walls were literally peeling off of this. We found dirty shirts and clothes in between the bed and the wall when we were fixing the blankets. This is not what I had in mind when I booked the motel. Not at all. I am one hundred percent upset about this situation. I had reserved for us to stay one more night here but that's not going to happen. I will pay the extra money to get in a comfortable Motel. This is our first vacation. It's what I wanted. I am contacting Priceline today. They will hopefully make this right with me booking another motel so I guess we will see but they need to do a better job making sure these motels are adequate for kids and not have drug dealers standing all over and have the amenities the person wants.

I booked a room through Priceline at Baymont Inn and Suites in Colorado Springs, CO. I called Priceline because the hotel told me in order to get a refund I had to go through them. I emailed the GM I. writing to request a full refund. We had to leave your facility due to poor health and safety conditions I.e. bloodstained bedding, stains on couch and insecure bathroom sink. I am absolutely horrified and will never stay at a Baymont again.

Upon my arrival on August 25th my family and I checked in with Emily around 6pm. According the Priceline checkin was at 3pm. We were told the room wasn’t ready at that time, it was being cleaned as we speak. We decided to grab dinner and come back an hour and half later to room 304. When we came back there was no toilet paper nor towels. I took my daughter to the main floor bathroom and stalled were locked and it appeared that someone barfed all over one stall. I went back down to Emily and she apologized and provided towels and two rolls of toilet paper.

I then went back upstairs to get ready to lay down and notice bloodstain on the sheets of both beds! I walked back downstairs and told Emily to cancel our room. We will not be staying in an unsanitary room. I don’t even care if it was dried blood gross-plus there was hairs all over the bedding. I have pictures included of all this. In addition the room was all beat up and the tub was dirty.

I called Priceline who said there was no number to call the hotel. The customer service rep was from India and had poor communication skills. Their website had the number to the hotel. She said that I would have to wait until Priceline calls the hotel and wait to see if the hotel wants to provide the refund. I asked for a supervisor named Anna. This women was dreadful and tried to offer me 20% off my NEXT booked if I would stay In a room that was unsatisfactory. I asked for her manager to which I was provided a case number and I have to wait for a manager to call me. This company needs to be closed.

A note about the hotel as well. The front desk women Emily when I showed her the pictures said, "Oh it’s dried blood. No worries." I also recommend customer service training and hotel housekeeping training. I had to book another hotel because of these conditions. I have also cc’d the local health department to make them aware of the unsafe conditions.

I made the mistake of paying in advance for both car rental and a hotel. This is the most inflexible company to work with should your plans require an amendment to the reservation. First, on the rental car. I paid $1,044 for a rental car in June for a trip that is to be taken in August. They falsely advertised that "inventory is limited" and "book the lowest price now." I discovered a week before my trip that the car could be had for $331. I contacted Priceline to see if they would make this right. Not a chance! They cite policy and in an indirect way tell you to go pound sand. Next, the hotel. I booked a hotel room in Vegas in September and my plans changed. I only needed one night instead of two.

The hotel I'm booked through has a cancellation policy that allows you to cancel without charge up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival. Does Priceline pass that on?? Nope. They keep your money and tell you once again to go pound sand. I will never do business with this corrupt company again. They are one of the only travel sites out there that don't allow changes of any kind on their reservations. If you are foolish enough to book with them, use the pay later option and do NOT pay in advance. There is no advantage and there are clearly disadvantages. Their customer service reps have zero empathy and they could not care less if you are satisfied. Expedia is much better.

Tried to save $50 and ended up costing me almost $400 for a trip I can’t go on.

DO NOT BOOK WITH PRICELINE!!!! I booked a roundtrip flight for my family with four tickets for American Airline through Priceline for 7/30/21-8/4/21. I booked this for $1568.36 using my JCPenney Mastercard that was charged on 4/12/21. On 8/1/21, we called to extend our trip by two days and change our returning flight to 8/6/21 and were told we would have to pay the difference in flight cost. We gave them my girlfriend's Chase credit card number to charge this difference of $819.76. However, after returning home we saw that both her Chase credit card and my Mastercard were charged for the $819.76.

We called Priceline on 8/8/21 and were put on hold, hung up on and spent hours talking to several representatives. This eventually lead to them telling us they couldn’t see a charge of this amount on the JCPenney Mastercard (original payment method) and I told them I could send them screenshots of our billing activity. After once again being transferred, hung up on, put on hold, they said they would send me an email with a way to submit the screenshots. The email they sent me was for a request of refund due to a death and requesting a death certificate. At that point in frustration, I asked to speak to a supervisor, told I was going to be transferred and was hung up on again.

We called back again that night and sent the email to the agent we spoke to then, were told to wait 48-72 hours to hear back from their accounting department. It is now 8/13/21 and we called to see why we haven’t heard back yet. I spoke to multiple people who keep asking for all the details (even though I’m told it’s on file) and keep putting me on hold, transferring me to different departments, and again I keep getting disconnected. Each time I call or am transferred I’m automatically put on a call back wait list for 30-60+ minutes. I can’t get a straight answer or help from any of their agents.

I would like to add that this all started with spending HOURS on the phone to reschedule our flight and extend our vacation. We wasted hours on the phone with Priceline during our trip, even while hiking a mountain in 100 degree weather in Arizona. We were told that the difference would initially be around $500, would be put on hold and disconnected, call back and the price would go up. I asked to speak to a supervisor after being extremely frustrated from the holding times, hang ups and increase in price (they said the initial flight was cheaper but was booked up, which didn't appear so online, and I would have been able to book it if they hadn’t repeatedly hung up on me and put me on hold). While the supervisor was “seeing what he could do for us” he put us on hold AGAIN and AGAIN and then hung up on us. Never received a call back. We decided not to waste any more hours of our vacation time dealing with Priceline only to return home and see we were charged the ~$820 TWICE!!

We ordered through PRICELINE - a room w/ a jacuzzi tub, king-size bed. We walked into a room with a bathroom so small that 2 people could not stand in it at the same time. The small old shower was behind the door and you literally had to almost be sitting on the toilet to open the door. No one was there when we checked in (they sent us an email saying that someone would only be there to check us in between 3 pm-5 pm). We showed up at 3:45- no one was there- office was dark, no notes. I tried to call- no answer. As I was about to leave- there was a small note to the right of the door that said that we could pick up our keys on the side table by the door. Got our keys with a letter that said check-out time was now an hour earlier than what Priceline had advertised.

Got to our room- and my stomach immediately got a knot. I could not find the bathroom- thought we did not get one; then saw it behind the entrance to the room. Started to unpack when we saw the first hairs on the pillows on the bed. Then more hair. Several long black hairs (I'm blonde and my husband shaved his head). We pulled back the covers to reveal even more- There had to be over 60 long black hairs. I was sickened. At the bottom of the bed were red stains- I was so grossed out I just wanted to get out of there. I called the phone number for the front desk- No Answer- pushed button to leave a message- hung up on me. Called again- the same thing. Called 2nd number for emergencies - No Answer- Left a Message.

We went to dinner- a few hours later- getting closer to dark- still no answer. Called again. Nothing. We ventured downstairs to look for clean sheets. We found some cabinets with sheets in them. Not the right size sheets and not blankets, but we grabbed what looked to be cleaned to make a makeshift bed. We sanitized the room and bed with Clorox wipes- put the small sheets to cover the bottom and each had a small sheet to cover up with. That's how we spent our 2 nights. When we came down, there was no management there. The only people we saw who "worked there" were 2 young girls probably around 11-13 years old. They brought us breakfast the first morning. I don't think they spoke much English and we did not want to complain to children.

So Disappointed in PRICELINE for advertising and promoting a trashy place like this. We called Priceline to share, and they said they reached out to The Lodge people (after several, several attempts) and they told them that we never called or told them anything was wrong. And get this- the trash room we were baited into- when I looked at the Lodge website was $30/night cheaper than what Priceline charged us.

Have made six calls and no one can give an answer on a refund. Always have to wait for a call back, up to four hours. Had trip insurance through Allianz and they don't have a record of my insurance even though Priceline furnished a policy number to me. As of today, AA refunded the airfare to Priceline, but Priceline says they cannot find it and are no longer able to look up this reservation. They say since they can no longer access that reservation nation they cannot refund my money. Again, American Airlines has refunded them my airfare. It is an absolute circus of speaking with people who are powerless and have no knowledge on how to resolve problem.

I accidentally reserved and paid for the hotel across the street cause they would check me in an hour earlier. My mistake. I was really tired and usually go there. So I called Priceline to cancel it and they said there would be a 175$ penalty fee. But she told me it may be possible to waive the fee if the hotel OKed it. And asked for my approval to cancel. I told her "only if I get refunded right away and definitely not if it means I lose 175$." She put me on hold and came back with "good news". She was able to cancel and get a full refund and it will only be 24 hours to come back into my bank. So this was not good news to me cause I only had 120$ more and as a platinum member. 175 was the cheapest possible hotel.

I'd been awake for several days and was so tired after a whole day trying to get them to reverse their mistake or comp me a room and take the money. When it comes in they refused. Hung up on me several times. Never once offered a realistic solution or tried to make me feel better. So I'm on the street yet again tonight and get to start my new job tomorrow on day 4 of being awake. I would not recommend priceline to anyone. It's far better to go direct thru the hotel. It's time people stop including these useless middle men that forgot where they came from and have absolutely no appreciation for their customers.

Worst day I've had in a while by far and they kept telling me it was the bank's fault. I use cash app that instant. Thanks for lying to me priceline and thanks for breaking me down mentally and physically because your team made a mistake with what was the only money I had. Priceline needs to learn some customer appreciation. Definitely don't recommend them to anyone.

I deserve a full refund, the hotel owner was completely unscrupulous, lied about refunding me, would not let me back in the room, the room was uninhabitable due to bed bugs, a really bad roach infestation and safety hazards like exposed wiring on the property. Priceline would not refund me, citing that the owner said that the property did not have bugs and when I then tried to get the key back to the room since the owner would not refund me in order to prevent the owner from renting out the room again to another unsuspecting victim the owner wouldn’t give me the room key.

I called Priceline back and told them so and they said they’d call the hotel and said the owner told them he was busy booking other guests and he told them to call back the next day. Priceline said they would call him back the next day and then call me back but they never did. Priceline told me they only refund customers if the hotel provides a refund to Priceline. There were several other families in the lobby trying to get refunds from Priceline as well.

The reviews on Priceline, the Priceline app, Google and other sources show that this is a common swindle conducted by Priceline and this particular hotel. The google reviews are dominated by Priceline customers who were similarly swindled. Priceline rents the room under the false pretenses that the hotel is an all suites property of 2.5 star caliber (not a 2.5 star review rating but as being a 2.5 star hotel, which according to ** Priceline ranks a 2.5 star hotel as better than their 2 stars, namely Comfort Inn, Best Western, Ramada Inn, Holiday Inn, Homestead Studio Suites, and La Quinta Inn) but it was clearly below 1 star. The way the scam works is that Priceline tells you that they will be giving you a mystery 2.5 star hotel in the area and then they put you in this atrocious hostel that is not even a 1 star hotel. The hotel reviews on Google Maps mention the following words the following number of times:

    Bed bugs 32
    Worst 80
    Hostel 24
    Homeless 14

    Hell 11

The hotel is rated a 1 star (the lowest possible) on Google and is also listed as the Los Angeles Backpackers Paradise Hostel. That’s right, it’s a hostel not an all suites 2.5 star hotel. Since the owner of the hotel denied me a room in the end I was never given what I paid for so regardless of all else I should have been refunded. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company because this is now beyond simply not liking the room, it's having been denied a room when I paid for one which I will persue in small claims court as thievery as my next step. Also the pool was closed and there was no breakfast so the false advertising continues. For pictures and evidence, please look up the Los Angeles Adventurers Hotel in Priceline and Google. The reviews of Priceline in Consumer Affairs as well as in the Google App Store show others with a very similar, corroberating experience.

One rep tells me a seat is available, but says they need to request a price and me call back. When they call back they tell me the seat is taken. We try another date/time, they say they have a seat a available but just need to confirm the price, they'll call me and tell me THAT seat is taken too. And keep in mind they don't call you back in 5 minutes, they call you back after hours of waiting. And anytime you call them, the wait is more than 2 hours, in which they place you on a call back list.

Basically this entire process could take days, especially if every time they request a quote and call you back, the seat is taken. When they called me back the next day (YES THE NEXT DAY), they told me the seat was taken AGAIN and they need to check another date and get another quote. I hate them, everyone needs to be fired. And they need to learn better customer service. AND even though the seat wasn't available, I was still charged and I still didn't get my return date changed. And I'm still waiting for them to reverse the charge. PRICELINE SUCKS! AVOID AT ALL COST!

I have very important BOARD EXAM and cannot wait until last minute for flight change. So, I did prince line chat -they kept saying that they could not refund because of minor change; less than 4 hours. It does not make any sense to me because my trip is not for fun, but for my professional career BOARD EXAM which I cannot change the exam schedule. They still are holding this problem not resolving it.

I RECOMMEND EXPEDIA and DELTA AIRLINES. => They are GREAT!!!! At the same time, Delta Airlines changed their flight schedule (IT WAS MINOR CHANGES - 3 HOURS DIFFERENCE) on my departure trip and THEY REFUNDED me because I cannot accommodate their alternative flight schedule. First of all, I have used Priceline many many times. In fact, I am a VIP blue member. We have recently found ourselves in a situation that has been extremely difficult on our family. We were living with my parents, helping them on their farm, as they are getting on up in age. My mother has never liked my husband, or any man that's come into my life for that matter, fathers, etc. She convinced her husband, my step father that my husband was a narsissistic, compulsive dangerous liar and must be kicked out immediately, with nowhere to go, while promising me a new house and everything I could want and need if I divorced him. It was tempting because we have a 5 year old little girl together, and I didnt want to put her in a homeless unstable situation.

I chose to live with my husband, but allowed our little girl to stay with my parents until we could find a place and stabilize. We pick her up about 3 to four times a week depending on if we are not out of town working. Yesterday we decided to take a trip to Pensacola Florida to show our daughter the ocean for the first time. She LOVED it, we had planned to take her back to my mother that night so that she could make it to school on Wednesday. Tomorrow. My mother only lives about 6 hours away. I was so concerned about making sure that my baby wasn't sunburned, lathering her constantly that I forgot about myself and burned myself to the point that I couldnt sit down without getting to the point of tears. We decided to let her stay out of school and get a hotel for the night...

Given how I had used Priceline several times in our homeless state, I chose them to book a room through. My husband had to fix the breaks on the car as they had started to shake quite severely. So we didnt want to drive far from the beach with our precious cargo in such a shaky vehicle, so I looked for the closest hotel to us. Priceline's ad for this particular hotel said that it was 4 miles away from our location. Cool, we could handle that. I felt I had gotten a good deal on this room at 117 a night, whereas usually priceline said it was usually 140 or so a night. That's usually twice as much as my husband and I spend on a room, but because our little one was with us, we wanted to make it special.

There was a pool. Wifi, seemed like she would have a good time. We didnt have a lot of money since living hotel to hotel and in your car is expensive (thanks mom) But we used the child tax credit that the government issued for her which was 250$ for this little trip. As an early birthday present for her. Her birthday is on the 10th of this month. My husband had spend most of our time on the beach that evening fixing the rotors and breaks on our car.

Once we were done at the beach I typed in the GPS for the hotel and it was OVER 20 MILES from our destination! No big deal right? No because once we started heading that way the brakes started to make a terrible knocking noise. My husband figured it wasn't but a simple fix, but didnt want to drive 20 miles with them like that, so pulled over to fix the issue. If it had been 4 miles like the ad stated, we would have just driven to the room, put our daughter to bed, and he fix the issue there. But no, my daughter and I waiting in the car while my husband took care of the issue, which was a minor issue, but still took about 45 minutes to fix. No big deal, I would call the hotel and let them know we were coming and that I didnt want them to cancel our room as no shows.

I call the number for the hotel online and through Priceline, it said that the wireless caller couldnt take phone calls at this time. So I call Priceline and let them know the issue, as well as letting them know that while I was waiting in the car, I found the same room at a much cheaper rate through my google one subscription. Their policy is as a VIP member is that if I found a price cheaper than theirs within 24 hours of booking they would refund me the difference. When I told the lady that I couldnt get ahold of the hotel to tell them we were going to be checking in late, she put me on hold for about 10 minutes. She informed me when she got back on the line that she couldnt get ahold of the hotel on the phone either and would email them that I was checking in late.

At this point, something wasn't sitting right with me. So I asked her if I could cancel, because she had also said that they wouldnt refund me the difference because I had already BOOKED! But yet their policy says within 24 hours OR before midnight the day before my stay, which is where they might have gotten me, but my itinerary said that I had booked on the 4th. For a stay on the 3rd...hmm.When did instant time traveling. No big deal, whatever. I just hoped that when I got to the room. Someone was there to check us in. So my husband fixes the issue with the brakes and we drive 35 minutes to the hotel.

I am in the lobby and the night clerk asks for my name. I told her I had booked through Priceline. She has a real BIG disdain for Priceline. She said that she didnt have any rooms available for one. For two, there was a 150 deposit that was to be paid BEFORE I could book a room. I told her I was not informed as Priceline's policy said they would do if such fees were to be imposed. She said they do this all the time to her hotel. I told her I wanted a refund since I didnt have 150 to deposit, and even if I had had it, THEY DIDNT HAVE A ROOM AVAILABLE.

But the 133 dollars had been taken out of my account already. I told her this and she Priceline is the one whom I paid, not them. But yet when I had asked the representative from Priceline if I could cancel the room earlier, she said they would have to get permission from the hotel and ask if they would refund me the money! So I call Priceline back, I get a different representative this time. I tell him what's going on, he said he will call the hotel to see if they will refund my money. I told him he had to email them, because their phone wasn't working, he said he could only do it over the phone, so I walked back in the lobby and handed the night clerk my phone directly with the Priceline rep still on the phone. She said he KNOWS SHE CANT REFUND THE MONEY. SHE KNEW WHO HE WAS!! He had to email the owner at 8 in the morning. He SOMETIMES would answer emails... omg.

I'm pissed at this point, upset and out 133$ no place to lay my little one down. The Rep asked me if there was anything else he could do for me, as he was going to put a rush on this situation but it would take 2 business days to refund my money IF they even could. I told him we needed a place to stay, and said, "Ok, have a good night....." I look on priceline 2 hours and 45 min later, and see that they have my name posted under that hotel as getting a deal at 117$ and the next person could get it for 90$!!. There arent even rooms available!!! My husband sends me a screenshot of the hotel's website and the original price of the hotel was only 80 something dollars......So now we have to sleep in the car in the Walmart parking lot while our little girl sleeps in the back seat sweating because we cant afford to run the car all night long.

I am so disgusted with Priceline that I will tell everyone I know NOT to use them. My husband and I do google reviews alllll the time, I'm a hair stylist and know lots of people. He is a mobile mechanic and speaks to all types of people as well. I will tell everyone how crooked Priceline is, and how we were rob and tossed to the street. I will NEVER USE them EVER EvER again!!!! They purposely dont tell people about the deposit the night clerk said and then tell them it's a non refundable fee. But people like us, who couldnt afford it get screwed. She has gotten written up so many times for letting people stay in this situation, she will lose her job if she does it again. If my money isn't in my bank account in two days, I will be contacting the BBB, writing my governor, getting everyone that I know to sign a petition to put these people out of buisness!!!

My wife used Priceline to rent a car to be picked up in Denver. Upon arrival the car rental company refused to give her a vehicle (due to confusion over her credit card). She immediately called Priceline and was promised a refund and she was able to rent a car from another company. About 10 days later she received an email from Priceline saying that the rental *had* been used and they were not going to refund (this was before Priceline even contacted the car rental company to verify rental status - we have the emails to prove this). Upon receiving the refusal email from Priceline she initiated a dispute with our credit card company. Subsequently, Priceline notified us that because we had initiated a dispute they were not going to refund. There is over $800 involved and IMHO this is outright theft. Our only recourse now is small claims court but it would probably cost us more in the long run.

We made several contacts with Priceline customer service and although individual agents were sympathetic, every time they researched we were told the same story: because we initiated a dispute they refused to refund. It didn't seem to matter that the dispute was only initiated after the initial refusal letter. Caveat Emptor if you're going to use Priceline: we'll never use them again. Note to Priceline: if you'll honor your commitment to refund the money we paid for an unused rental we will retract this review.

We booked a mini van for 8 days through Priceline at rentalcars.com (owned by Priceline). We paid $890 to book the van and owed an additional $350 upon picking it up at SeaTac in Seattle. Unfortunately, our flight from Philadelphia was canceled last minute by the airline and we could not arrive at the airport in Seattle for 2 days. We just wanted to pick up the van for the time we reserved and pay the original price for only 5 days of use. Priceline offered a $334 cancellation fee, plus the ability to rent lesser mini-van for $1684. Lesson learned, never worth it to rent from 3rd parties even if it seems like a deal. This company will do nothing for you if plans go slightly astray. If I had called 1 hour later, they told me they would have taken my entire $890. As it stands, I have to wait 5 business days for the $556 refund.

Priceline actively deceived us as customers via the Pricebreaker feature. I was guaranteed a 4-star hotel in the Loop and was matched with 'Central Loop Hotel' - clearly categorized as a 3-star hotel. On Priceline, it's rated as a 7.8 - but apparently, Priceline doesn't use industry standards, their own ratings, and checks around at Trip Advisor etc - arbitrary customer reviews. I do not care whether Tom, Dick and Harry had a nice stay or know nothing about the hospitality industry. Priceline did not indicate anywhere that they were relying on customer reviews. This is active manipulation. This is 2021. Customers have access to information and the ability to change brands and spread their own reviews quickly. I would say shame on them, but I have no doubt that Priceline will be out of business.

I was denied a refund and I asked if I could open a investigation or a case against them and that agent would not assist me in that and she also contacted the hotel and spoke with that same employee that was involved in the incident, instead of speaking with a manager she took this employee's story over mine which was not her right to do. The concern that I told her alone should have got an investigation going on. I was forced to have to book at another hotel that night and now I'm being forced to pay for two hotels when I only stayed at one and it surely was not Microtel Inn & Suites Claremore Oklahoma. Priceline has taken more than two weeks to follow up on a hotel charge for the incorrect dates. This issue is still not resolved! The agent today told me they are not even calling the hotel, except when I call them. On my previous calls to them during the past 2 weeks, I was told my issue was being "escalated" and I should not call them. I should wait for an email with the resolution. The agent today said that my issue has been "stuck in a pile of pending issues."

Today I asked to speak to a manager, but was transferred to a "senior agent" (Ross ID#**). As he could not resolve my issue, I asked again to speak to a manager. He took my phone number and assured me that a supervisor named "Coco" would call by the end of the day. It is almost 9PM, and I have received no call. Another concern--check the fees being charged! I had become suspicious, but not yet investigated why prices more steeply discounted by Priceline ended up actually costing more due to fees & extra charges. Sounds very fishy! I will never use Priceline again. I recommend all others avoid it!

They informed me ticket is non refundable and I cannot change a date. They said I can cancel it only if I present a death certificate. They refused to represent me and call the airlines: United Airlines. I called UA myself. It took a lot of waiting time as well. United informed me that I can request refund if I present medical documents, something Priceline show know!!! However I couldn't complete the refund request since the flight is still active and not canceled yet.

I called back Priceline. The same process over and over: wait time, more wait time, more wait time. Finally some human responds. She tells me she needs to call UA to confirm that I can cancel. I asked for manager. They put me on hold and disconnected. I demanded to talk to manager before too. They did the same. Disconnected. I will be trying to call United and cancel myself without the representation of Priceline. This is a horrible service. In a case of any emergency do not expect ANY help from them.

I recently rented a van through Priceline/Dollar Rental and had one of the worst rental experiences of my life. I reserved and pre-paid for a 7-passenger van in Houston on the dates of June 28-July 6th for a family vacation in Wisconsin. We picked up the vehicle on the 28th AT 6:00PM. My check-in to our Wisconsin destination was for 4pm on June 29th. Around 12:00 PM we noticed that the air stopped working and had to roll the windows down and the check engine light was going off. We pulled over to check what was happening and it appeared that the car was overheating and did not have any antifreeze. My father antifreeze into the car and after waiting for an hour or so we tried to finish our drive to meet our check-in time.

We contacted roadside assistance and was on hold for over an hour only to be told we would need to drive to O’Hare Airport that was 2 hours and 45 mins away (we would not have made it in the car's condition). We stayed on the phone for over 2 hours for Russel to tell us to wait where we were for CHERRY Towing to bring the new vehicle and take the damaged one. I was told it would be between 2-3 hours before they would get there. I called the third-party Tow company two hours and about 20 mins later and was met with a very rude lady that cut me off, over-talked me and hung up on me and my father 3 times. The location we were stopped at told us we would have to leave due to it closing and not being open for waiting after closing. We were in the middle of nowhere.

Our destination was probably an hour and 45 mins away, so we decided to try and make it there. After another half hour of driving still without air the car began to overheat again. During the time of trying to make it to our destination the CHERRY tow company called again and told us they would not be able to make it to the destination due to distance. We spent the next 8 hours driving for 30 min increments, fearful that the car would break down and leave us stranded. At this point it was a little after 2am. We didn’t hear back from anyone until much later the NEXT DAY (WEDNESDAY). We missed the entire first day of our hotel stay and then spent the duration of the next day unable to go anywhere and on the phone for HOURS trying to resolve the issue.

Hertz did secure a different tow truck to come pick up the vehicle WEDNESDAY at 2:27 pm. The tow truck company did not bring a new vehicle with them to replace the one they took. I then called Hertz again and was on the phone ALL day trying to handle the situation as best as possible. Hertz could not find an Uber take me to the nearest airport (2 hours and 40 mins away). They never return calls or kept hanging up. I was told around 9:45 pm after being on the phone all day I would have the new rental brought to me in the morning around 8:30-9 am. When I woke up Thursday morning at 8:30am I called the roadside assistance line for an ETA only to be told they could not release the car due to them not having a location of the rental that was towed Wednesday at 2:27pm.

If I did not take a picture of the paperwork, I signed and of the truck I would not have known myself. I strongly believe I should not have been punished for the company not knowing the location of a car they had towed. The man from Hertz then released the vehicle to be brought to us which was an additional 2 hours and 40 mins away. We had to check out of the hotel at 11:00am. The driver arrived at 11:38am.

I missed 2.5 out of 3 days of my family vacation because I did not have a means of transportation. You can imagine how frustrated I was not only having no car to drive, but also in several run around phone calls with little to no help. I was given several different numbers to call, had been placed on hold hours at a time, even being hung up on by certain representatives. This is unacceptable customer service. I also was told I wouldn’t be able to get anything done until get turn the rental in. I arrived last night around 12:41 am and woke up for 4 to be at the airport for 6:00am only to be told to call Priceline and have them reach out..

I rented a car when I went to a wedding in Birmingham, Alabama. Somehow there was a double reservation. There was one for Hertz and one for Avis. I really think it is Priceline's mistake because it shows an icon for three rental car companies, so my understanding was that the car could be from any of the 3 companies. Avis had a reservation for me so I rented a car from them. About an hour later Hertz called asking if I was going to pick up my car. I told them I already had a car from Avis.

The next day I called Priceline to tell them about the mix-up. The 2 agents I talked to were unhelpful and it sounded like my call was outsourced to another country. They basically told me it was too bad but that they could not refund the money for the Hertz rental even if a mistake was made. I told them I would be disputing the unfair charge with my credit card company and it sounded like they could not care less. My sister was with me and she is a travel agent and she said that agents get many people telling her company they will file a complaint so the agents probably did not even take it seriously. She said I just needed to go ahead and file the dispute, so I filed with my CC company for a refund and am sharing my story and filing a complaint for unfair practices.

First I talked to Jose (?), after he identified me, and heard my complaints about the room, he put me on hold… 10 minutes later, this time a lady from Philippines, picked my call, requested again for my identification, and again listened to my complaints…. But really this is all she could do. No call to the hotel to check on the situation, no support offered to put me in another hotel for the three remaining nights, not sorry for the conditions my wife and I had to spend the night… Nothing. I think this is the “business model“ for Priceline, to make huge money on rooms that normally cannot be rented by hotels…. Shame on you Priceline! There was a miscommunication with the hotel I was booked with to where they canceled on their end but Priceline never canceled on their end. After calling numerous of times while at the hotel desk both the hotel manager and I were getting two different stories. They first stated using some virtual card then the guy was in a rush and hung up on. The hotel manager called back and they going on notes put in but yet to try and resolve the problem. I talk to maybe 7 different people. Got hung up on 3 times because they did not want to resolve the solution then when I couldn’t take the run around they wanted me to take the refund and be done and proceeded to tell me I gotta rebook again with my own money for their mistake.

I been dealing with Priceline for awhile and they are very very unorganized when it comes to problem solving. They don’t check and see if hotels are booked before just charging your card. They wheel you in by the savings but it’s not worth the headache. 2 hours and I’m still on the phone. After 30 mins because I refuse to let them consider me as a VIP but treat me like I’m anything. After this Priceline will not see my name anymore and I hope no one else falls victim to it. Unbelievable.

I had a terrible experience with Priceline after booking a hotel for 3 nights and had terrible experience with my stay at the hotel. The hotel apologized for the inconveniences and offered a 25% discount on my stay at the hotel. Priceline refused to issue the refund after they promised the refund was issued to my card. They lied vehemently. They never told me through their customer service that my refund was issued, if though I had them on a recorded line. I called back severally and they failed to connect my call after several attempts. I will not recommend priceline since their are very dishonest people. The hotel manager advised me not to use priceline if I decided to stay at their hotel next time.

I booked a reservation at the Midtown convention center hotel in NYC on Priceline for this weekend (had to come into town for a trauma course). The pictures show that clearly this hotel is in disarray and in fact not open. Silly me for just assuming that it would be. I spoke with two Priceline representatives, including a supervisor, who refused to rebook us in another hotel. They said the hotel was closed for Covid and expected to reopen 8/1/21, which is laughable. I explained that a site credit should be provided given the hotel I did rebook is costing 400$ more. I was offered an offensive 5% discount off an Express deal only. Be aware that Priceline does not check the status of the hotels and further investigation may need to take place before assuming the hotel is available. Better yet, avoid Priceline altogether.

We booked our flights through Priceline thinking this was the best way to reserve airline flights, but it became a joke working with priceline. During the time that we booked flights and actually took the trip they changed our flight times multiple times. When we tried to call them to make adjustments since we had people we were meeting, they had a recording that basically said not our problem.. call the airlines. What's the point of having a middle man to help you with your travel if they won't support you after the tickets are purchased. Priceline should be ashamed of themselves for not supporting the consumer after the purchase. I will never use this service again.. and neither should anyone else.

So was traveling to Florida for vacation and I booked my car and hotel as a bundle through Priceline months before my trip so I wouldn’t have to worry about it. My lady and I got our luggage and headed to pick up our rental so we could go to the hotel. We were told we were not getting a rental car because Priceline failed to fill out the voucher properly so we were not able to pick up a rental we paid for. Spoke to a representative about it and he said call back tomorrow because he could not get ahold of his manager. We left the airport 1AM $725 down payment on a different rental.

Thank for my hotel was good to go. Called Priceline the next day and was told I would not receive a refund and I requested to speak to a higher up as yesterday I was told I would receive if I called back tomorrow. Got to speak with the higher up and he tried to tell me that the reservation was non-refundable. Okay it’s refundable if you mess up and I don’t get what I paid for. I ended up getting my refund 10 days later. My lady and I were in Florida struggling to figure out how to feed ourselves because we had to wait 10 days for a refund. We were in Florida a week. Took an hour on the phone with a representative and tried to tell me he’d call the next day and I told him he can call the airport rental now while I’m on the phone.

I used Priceline to set up a reservation at a hotel this past weekend. Turns out it's really Booking.com. Long and short- I reserved a room at what ended up being a bed bug infested crack house. This place was disgusting and I ended up sleeping in my truck. I called the property for a refund with no results so I called Priceline's customer support. They seemed sympathetic and apologized after I sent a pic of the bedbugs. Thinking that would be enough I received an email telling me the property had offered me a 10% discount on my next stay and that's the best they could do. This is ludicrous! Like a slap to the face. This is very poor business. Do not use these idiots too. Or a room. Don't use them at all. If your plane goes down or someone gets murdered in a room they recommend they will not be there for you in any way. I viewed two top notch, newer Playa Mujeres/Cancun resorts on the Priceline website. They were TRS Coral and Atelier Playa Mujeres. Priceline offered a deal that I would get one of three hotels for a great rate. The three hotels in the running were TRS Coral, Atelier Playa Mujeres and Villa del Palmar. The deal stated these were compatible hotels. I took my chances and that was MY WORST booking mistake I’ve made in ages. This was the typical bait and switch. Priceline selected Villa del Palmar. This resort is far from new, the accommodations are NOTHING like that of the other two resorts AND Priceline booked us without their all inclusive offer (Atelier and TRS Coral are all-inclusive resorts). I tried cancelling to no avail and had to stay at Villa del Palmar AND pay for all meals, etc.

We couldn’t even get someone from Priceline to talk to us about cancelling the reservation even minutes after I realized the terrible mistake I made of trusting this company. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience. If Priceline is offering booking options similar to Hotwire, it should at least come close with hotel comparables. My fiancé and I travel a lot. Literally booked approx. 4 hotels with Priceline in just this month alone. After this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere!

Booked the Super 8 West in Amarillo, TX through Priceline.com. Checked in at front desk, when my child got in bed 15 minutes later, she found chips/crackers and other food debris in the made bed. Notified Xavier at the front desk, and he said he could not offer another room as the hotel was at capacity, nor was the room able to be cleaned. I asked Xavier to look at the food in the bed, and he even took a picture of it. Called Priceline.com, they said they could only refund money if manager approved. I was on hold with Priceline when they called the hotel. Xavier hung up on Priceline numerous times (I watched from the lobby). Per my request, Xavier called the manager, Ken B., who said he would be in at 8am the next day. We left and stayed in a different, clean hotel.

I called Ken B. at 9:30am the next day, and the housekeeper alerted me that, "he was sleeping" and to call back after 1pm. When I finally got Ken on the phone, her was unwilling to allow Priceline to refund my money, citing I checked in and authorized payment, kept telling me to call Priceline to address the issue, denied that food was in the bed, and eventually hung up on me. I called back twice, and he hung up on me again. When I tried calling back, no one answered. (As a side note, who has ever "previewed" a hotel room prior to checking in at the front desk? I guess if I had done this, I would have saved myself the trouble.)

This was my first time using Priceline, I will never book through them again. Nowhere on their site is an issue like this addressed. They only speak about "Cancellation Policy". I did not cancel: I did not receive the product offered, nor was the hotel able to provide a clean room. Priceline only takes in the manager's input, thus I was unjustifiably charged for a room I did not sleep in.

I would recommend not using Priceline to book your travel!! I booked a flight on American Airlines through Priceline. The flight had multiple delays which would have caused me to miss any other connecting flights to be able to make the meeting I scheduled flight for. So I ask the airline for flight credit or refund and they advise I would have to get that from Priceline since they booked the flight.

Priceline then passes the busk and said the airline would have to give credit or refund? Airlines will not refund or give flight credit if booked through Priceline and you have to cancel. I also bought the trip insurance which was also useless in this situation because the delay still would have gotten me there within 24 hours of the scheduled time of arrival. The only problem with that is it would have been 6 hours after my meeting!! It was bad enough that I wasted the money I can’t get back or get a future flight for but to go along with that after waiting 7 hours to talk with someone at Priceline they were rude and just told me those were the breaks. Typically it was not supposed to be a charge, but a “hold” on your credit card unless 24 hours has passed. Then when you finally do get ahold of somebody they don't know what they're doing and transfer you to someone else, but you have wait and it's no short wait. Why are you in a department, answering chats and call when all they do is wait till wayyyy after I stated the issue multiple times that they don't know and I need to get ahold of someone different? Whatever, my wait was over 2 hours and when I did get a call back I got transferred and waited again.

Anyways, I had to cancel a flight and reschedule it. Well for one nobody and their mother tells you that you have to call in to get the credits from the flight. Secondly, after spending 30 minutes trying to book the flight (no joke got put on hold six different times just to talk to the same person) I finally got it all paid for and confirmed, but then the day of my flight the ticket magically can't be found in my emails or their systems yet I noticed my card was charged. The guy I was chatting online with about my problem could only say I have to call someone else since he doesn't know where it is.

Once I get a hold of the lady on the phone she says, "You'll have to wait at least another 45 minutes." It's really funny, I mean how do I book a flight through this company, see it's being charged to my card yet nobody has any clue where it is or could be. Honestly thank god for the lady at the airport because she was so nice and found them with almost only a small. The whole company is just a big joke. So messy and confusing.

    1. The Priceline website always says it is not able to find my previous flight when I enter the confirmation number, so I cannot book my new ticket through the website.

    2. ^ That forces me to call their customer service. I call them, go through the regular automated voice procedure, and it tells me the wait time is 2+ hours. They call back 3-4 hours later. The lady is nice and everything is going well until I ask her for the prices of the available tickets. She says she needs to put me on hold, and I comply. I have been on hold for over an hour now. It does not take over an hour to check the price of a ticket.

Worst customer service ever. I've looked at other reviews and other people have also had a similar experience. I am going to stay on the line and wait it out to the best of my ability. Long story short, Priceline is fine to use as long as no complications or changes come up. If there is any risk of your plans changing, DO NOT USE PRICELINE.

At that point he goes on to saying there was nothing he can do because I had purchased a “EXPRESS DEAL”. I then go on to calling customer service in hopes that someone could help me. I spoke to a representative on the phone, and he pretty much said the same thing, so I ask to speak to the manager. I explain to the manager the situation once again, I tell her that their web must have had a glitch, or something went wrong & that I did not presume on to confirm the $218.86.

At that point if I couldn’t cancel the reservation, I just wanted to get original price quoted. I tell her that I have proof of the purchase I was making at $116.85 and she goes on to pretty much insinuating I was lying which at that point was very frustrating. I asked her for her e-mail to show her proof & she pretty much ignored me by staying silent and said there was nothing else to do because I proceeded to booking and express deal!! I asked her to transfer me to someone higher than her & she said she was the person authorize to make the changes but because I confirmed the booking, she wasn’t going to make the changes. SO now I am stuck with this booking and a charge of $218.86.

I was booking a hotel, at the top of their Payment page, it clearly stated “flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th” right below the hotel’s name, highlighted in green color. Because of this statement, I went ahead and completed booking. I then received an email confirmation, but within the email, there was a section for “cancellation policy” where is said “26% of penalty will be charged if canceled after July 4th”.

I called customer service, the agent and the 2nd level agent both just repeated the same stuff to me, that the cancellation policy was stated in their contract somewhere. I then requested for a supervisor, he told me the same thing: those cancellation policy were indicated in the contract under the “Booking Conditions” link where it had other links such as “Terms and Conditions”, “Privacy Policy”. I asked them why they didn’t show these detailed policy at top of the page, where it said "flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th", or why did they display this statement at all, which obviously misled me. I told them I didn't click on the "Booking Conditions" link because I was convinced by the clause "flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th" at the top of the screen.

Btw, there was also no hover over description or any side note explaining what "flexible cancellation" means. To me, I thought cancellation is flexible until July 9th. Their response was “the policy was stated within the contract at the time of booking, therefore there is nothing we can do”. They refused of any wrongdoings and didn't honor the full refund because of the hidden terms in one of their many links at the bottom of the screen. So watch out for Priceline, don't fall into this trap like I did. They have no integrity or honor, they would do anything to trick customer into "complete booking" first, even if meant misleading customers with false information.

I called Thrifty and they said that contractually they are not able to modify Priceline reservations with the client directly and they instead a Priceline employee needs to call and made the modification over the phone with Thrifty.

I called Priceline back (at this point I've been on the phone for over an hour trying to get the reservation time changed). Priceline then says that they have a "rule" that doesn't allow them to change any time, even if it is due to the flight change that a customer has no control over. I think that is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS, especially in 2021 when there's about 1,000 ways to rent a car. I will be sure to NEVER rent a car again with Priceline.

My husband and I purchased Air France flights from Chicago to Portugal on Priceline for a planned vacation starting June 6, 2020. At the time, the unfolding pandemic was a very unsure situation, the European Union had paused incoming travel but was rescheduled to reopen before our trip started, and we worried about waiting too long to purchase flights and being faced with exorbitant prices. When we finally did purchase the flights, Priceline had a policy on their website saying that they would issue full refunds if trips needed to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic (looking back, this was clearly a ploy to squeeze as much money as possible out of customers during a global crisis).

About two weeks later, the European Union had extended its lockdown and the CDC and others were recommending against all non-essential travel. Because we would not have been permitted to travel to our destination (not to mention that it would have been unsafe), we canceled our flights on March 30. At this point, Priceline had removed its "full refund" policy from their website and was only responding to inquiries about flights scheduled in the next 72 hours. We submitted an electronic request for a refund and began what has ended up being a year and a half long wait to determine the fate of the money we paid to Priceline. The automated response we received from Priceline upon canceling was that they would review the airline's policy and follow up with us. We have never once during this entire process actually received any follow up calls or emails from Priceline.

Meanwhile, despite travel restrictions, our flights apparently flew as scheduled. Eventually, in April, we called Priceline, waited on an extensive hold, and finally spoke to an agent who let us know that we would not be receiving a refund, but rather a credit on Air France that could only be used through Priceline. However, we also learned that we no longer qualified for the prices available on the Priceline website because these were "new customer prices." To use our credit, we would not be receiving a voucher or code like you might normally expect from a business, but would need to call Priceline's travel services line to inquire about flights and prices, all of which differed substantially from those listed online (read: much more expensive, several hundred dollars more per flight at least).

We tried to dispute the charges through our credit card company, which filed two disputes on our behalf without success. We also reached out to Air France, because according to their website, if "my travel dates are between 3 March and 31 August 2020, and my ticket was purchased before 21 April 2020" the ticket is fully refundable. Air France responded that we would have received a refund if we purchased directly through them, but that unfortunately we would have to work through Priceline now.

Stuck with our credit, we waited through the entire year until it was scheduled to expire, during which time no travel was permitted by Americans to the EU. At the end of April 2021, we called Priceline again to find out if our credit had indeed expired, whether the circumstances permitted an extension, or if we could try to seek a refund again. During this call, and two subsequent calls during April and May, we were told various conflicting information: 1) we were eligible for a refund and would hear back in 2-3 days (we did not hear back), 2) we were not eligible for a refund, but our travel credit might be extended to December 2021, and 3) they couldn't find the information anymore about the December 2021 extension so our travel credit would only be extended to June 30.

They also, surprisingly, claimed that we might qualify for a refund now from Air France, that they will look into it, and that we can expect to hear back in 6-8 weeks (of course, we do not hear back). Why this was not investigated when we first requested our refund, and when Air France was offering refunds freely to regular customers, is unclear, although it seems to have something to do with Priceline's status as an intermediary (this sounds like a Priceline problem and not an "us" problem). While we wait to hear back, the EU opens for tourists on June 18, and then several countries, including Portugal, go under lockdowns again due to new COVID-19 variants.

So here we are on July 2, after our credit has supposedly expired. We call Priceline again and spend a total of 6 hours waiting for various call backs from regular agents, then a specialist agent. When the specialist agent finally speaks to us, we explain that it has been a year and a half since we canceled our flights, that the credit process lacks basic transparency, that the air travel situation is still unknown, and that we are now insisting on refund. She says that because we canceled our trip before it flew, we only qualify for a credit. We are back to square one. We do not want a credit and in fact want nothing to do with Priceline ever again. We ask about the status of the alleged inquiry with Air France by Priceline on our behalf (the one of two calls and 7+ weeks ago) and she can provide no information. She says that she can contact Air France now. As I am writing this, we are waiting on hold yet again, for her to wait on hold with Air France...

Priceline is the absolute worst company I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. We have faced nothing but avoidance, misinformation, and outright deception at every turn. If they are operating within the law, it is within the slimmest possible margins. I will never give a cent to Priceline ever again (or really any third-party travel site, have you heard about the class action lawsuit against Expedia?) and I warn anyone who reads this to avoid this company at all costs. Tell your family, friends, and even your worst enemies!

I book a hotel thru Priceline only to find out the hotel was under construction and the elevator was broken and all guests have to walk the stairs. I'm 55 with a artificial hip and a heart condition. Priceline promised a 2.5 star room. Booked king room with no smoking, was told by hotel they only had a room with 2 full beds. Called Priceline back and they would not help in any way. Don't use them. Priceline has lost its service and is just scamming people and keeping your money. Nothing promised to me was delivered. I'll always just contact the hotels directly and let everyone I come in contact traveling about their way of scamming their customers. Buyer be very aware!!

When my travel plans changed and I called Priceline to cancel my hotel reservations. Priceline informed me they would keep all my money and I was giving them a week notice. I called Best Western Ramkota in Rapid city SD and they only require 24 hours notice but couldn't help because of Priceline being third party reservations. Priceline is a bunch of crooks and I had a horrible experience with them and will never do business with them again.

I booked a room, spent $40 to get there and dropped off. I was told they didn't have any rooms available even though I had a confirmation number and was told my room is ready and waiting. Had to spend another $30 to get out of there, just didn't have a place to stay that night because they still charge my card. Was told they would give me a free night to compensate my troubles and was told they weren't going to give it to me then was told they would give me $11 which was a joke for my troubles and then never even honored that. Worst hotel site ever! They're rude, they lie and I would not use this site or recommend it to anyone ever again.
