This is absolutely counter to what their website advertised. I would not have purchased these tickets otherwise. They refuse to let me reschedule, and they refused to give me the name or address of an executive I could contact to address this policy switch. They would only send me an online feedback form. When I said that this was not satisfactory, the agent hung up on me.

My experience with Priceline has been amazing. I had to cancel my trip, and I had an unrefundable car rental. The agent heard my reasons and found them genuine to give me a full refund. This is customer service, loved it and I would recommend to book with Priceline for peace of mind in these very unusual and uncertain times.

Priceline is a malicious company. I booked a hotel through them only to find out that I paid $30 more on Priceline than the actual hotel was charging! When customer was called, they refused a refund and said "the hotel is not supposed to tell you the price of the room". I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service I received AND the fees I was charged on top of the more expensive room price. I will NEVER book through Priceline again!

They canceled my reservation without my consent and the price for renting that particular car is now higher. They told me they can't reinstate my order nor can they provide me with the initial price I ordered the car for. I don't understand what their customer care is there for. They might as well not have one.

Was so excited to book my daughter's High School Graduation trip. Did tons of research, made our decisions and booked. After booking started reading all the fine print to come to the realization that even though I selected DEBIT for car booking pick up. They booked us with Fox rental car. I called Fox and they basically told me, "Too bad. So sad." We have asked Priceline to update their website to not show cars from them when Debit was selected. So I call Priceline.
ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service ever! The people were rude and all they would do is cancel my reservation. I am not sure how it is okay for Priceline to book me with a car rental company and then be like, "Oh well..." So I asked to speak with a supervisor and the guy told me he was the last one to talk to. Then I requested again and he took my number to supposedly have someone call me back in a few minutes of being on the phone for 4 hours being transferred to different departments to still be waiting for that call 2 hours and 14 minutes later. I had to rebook losing my bundle and save price and costing me a little over $500 extra dollars for the same car different company.
We book at least once a year using Priceline and I always recommend Priceline to have every single opinion change that fast. I will not let this go! I understand if this was my mistake but I even read the link attached and it was still saying you could check out with debit as long as you have a Return flight and further way from home than 150 miles. They would hold a deposit on the card. It's all CRAP!! Do better Priceline, Do better!

I called as they report more discounts. First I repeated myself so many times on where and when. Then he could not find places even though there were many on the site. 15 min later after the wait time. I am not sure if they just want you on the phone to get information as the person did not have a clue on booking. Waste of time.

Rented a car through them with Thrifty. When I went there to pick up my car, Thrifty had no cars left and I was told (like other clients) to come back the day after. I went back the day after and picked my car (and my receipt proves that). I asked Priceline for a refund of the portion of the reservation that was no honored, due to Thrifty's mistake. They said they reached out to Thrifty but they say there is no evidence there were no cars left on the day of my reservation and they refused to refund me. So Priceline ended up keeping my money and paying Thrifty less than originally due. Scam. Stay away from them.

I was scammed by Dollar car rental with the assistance of Priceline. I booked a rental for a set price through Priceline. Paid with credit card. When I pick up car I declined ALL additional charges. I signed the electronic receipt. Dollar agent lied and indicated I ok'd the additional charges which added up to twice the rental sum and now both Dollar and Priceline refuse to do anything about it and instead claim it's the other's fault - DONT DEAL WITH EITHER -I am elderly and they target the elderly.

I made a car reservation and never received confirmation details. I called Priceline the week of my trip to obtain the details for my reservation such as where and when to pick up the car. The man on the phone was incredibly rude (I thought he was having a bad day, but no they're all like that), and he refused to honor my reservation. He literally canceled my reservation and then also refused to give me a car rental for a different date or a refund. He instructed me to do a chargeback through my credit card and hung up on me. Months later, Priceline is disputing the claim with fraudulent and false information. They reported that I asked to cancel the reservation, which is untrue, I had to rent a car from somewhere else because they wouldn't honor my reservation.
They also requested that I submit the rental agreement or invoice I received at the time of making the reservation, which is a joke because they know they didn't send me anything. Turns out, Priceline doesn't have the rental agreement or invoice either. Priceline submitted a screenshot of a website page where they entered in information to make up the details of a car rental at my same price, but they're idiots because the screenshot says at the top "Almost done! Enter your details and complete your booking now." It isn't even a screenshot of my car rental, it's all fabricated. I can't get my money back because they keep submitting fake and fraudulent info, numerous examples beyond the one above, and they scammed me out of $244.69.
I called Priceline back and the man was just as rude as the last time I had to speak with a representative over there. He told me that I was basically a fool for filing a dispute because now I will never get a refund and that he refuses to give me documentation regarding the cancelation because it can be submitted to help my claim. He also hung up on me. Do everything you can to avoid this company at all costs. There are plenty of cheap car rental, travel agency, etc. services out there that won't scam you and steal your money. Go with anyone but Priceline.

Booked a Rental Car to thought Priceline.com. They sent me to scam rental car company called Economy Rental Car, which they claimed was at the airport and it's not. They have hidden charges for everything. Priceline doesn't care. I didn't rent a car because these guys were trying to charge me $5/day to use my own insurance. Every customer that was at this establishment was pisssed and regretted going there. The reviews about this place are clear (too bad I didn't read them before) but Priceline doesn't care. There is even a video I have linked to below. Priceline stole $845 from me. They sent me to a fraudulent rental car company. Do they even have a system to vet their vendors. Priceline doesn't care about their customers.
Below is a review I made about Economy Rent a Car:
Every 1 star review is true. These guys are crooks! Anyone who gives them a 5 star review is a paid reviews. **. Rented through Priceline. Priceline says this is at the airport. It's not. You have to take a train and shuttle to get here. One price is stated but they try to steal your money in other way...I was trying to use my own insurance but for that I was asked $5/day. I have never heard of any other company that does this. I refused to pay this extra fee and said they no longer had a car for me.
Every single customer at the store was furious because they were trying to scam people out of their money and they get away with it because the people who come there after a train ride and a shuttle ride after landing at the airport have no choice. Unfortunately I read their reviews and watched their youtube video too late. Priceline/Economy Rent a car stole $845 from me. Crooks.

I made a hotel reservation through Priceline.com via their "ExpressDeals" and it was anything but a deal. They advertised a mystery 3.5 star hotel in a specific area for $75.00 a night, but did not disclose the name of the hotel. This "deal" was non-refundable. We decided to give it a shot based on the star rating. The hotel was run down and ill cared for. The room lacked amenities that are standard for 3 star hotels. There was broken furniture, peeling paint, peeling wall paper, peeling veneer on the doors, and generally just "banged up". I contacted Priceline through their Live chat helpline, told them about the room and how it was NOT 3.5 stars. They simply said "Your room is nonrefundable. There is nothing we can do".

Priceline has been great to get me some expensive, 3+ hotels. However, when I booked a 2.5 hotel with them this week, I was sent to a motel instead of a hotel. The place was dirty, noisy, and I could literally hear people banging next door or talking and partying. Called priceline and they basically said that if the hotel could not solve the issue, there was nothing they could do about it. They did not honor the fact I had been booking with them for years and exclusively during this trip. Then Priceline said they will only give me 5 percent coupon on express deal only because hotel gave me half money back. They are not refunding you even if your hotel has bugs. They get your money and after that it's your problem. Don't waste your time. They have no morals. It's all about the money. Pathetic excuse for a company. They are basically slum lords. Priceline has a price match as long as it's brought up 24 hours before. I never even knew of the difference until check in. Long story short always call the hotel in advance to make sure the price that you are getting is best price. I made a hotel reservation online, and the page asked for the number of people per room and age. I entered all the information and confirmed the reservation. When I finally arrived at the hotel, the hotel said that Priceline only made the reservation for 6 people instead of 12. I ended up paying 5500 extra to be able to stay in the hotel. Priceline washed their hands saying that they just made the reservation for the rooms not for how many people will stay, even though they asked for that information and never told us that. They said that they don't charge for children, but the HOTEL does! It just didn't make any sense why would we say we have 12 people 4 in each room and they only put 6 and don't tell us to call the Hotel to pay for the additional people, because they can only book the rooms. My car was booked for $150 and when I talked to company reps, they wouldn't allow me to cancel or change drivers. I was able to actually cancel through the rental service ACE which was the actual company renting the car but I'm still fighting with American Express to cancel the charge. I don't understand how a company can keep the money for a service that they are not even providing with they're the third party. For any rentals, the customer should be able to cancel or change within reasonable timeframes. Complete scam, just go with Enterprise.

We have used Priceline for years without issue. Lately, not entirely Priceline’s fault but you must be aware that the total price listed for a hotel deal maybe hundreds of dollars off. Hotels have many hidden charges that Priceline may or may not list. We had $260 dollars tacked on to a recent 4 day stay that was above the listed “total“ price.
Since COVID hotels charge more for cleaning and other so called incidentals that were once included in the listed total price per. Day. Also many hotels charge for parking at their location. My recent stay cost an additional $25 per. Night to park your car. I’m not saying that it’s all Priceline’s fault, just beware of hidden cost that raise the total cost of your stay. Priceline did contact the hotel on our behalf but the hotel remained firm on their extra charges.

Long story short Priceline booked us into a place that was a druggy roach motel and due to policy refused to give me my money back even though reviews said it was unsafe. They told me that the motel deserved the chance to prove it was not as bad as the reviews (wtf?) so now I had to stay to get my money back which I did so I could prove how gross it was. Then I went to write a review and after 15 mins of scrolling and searching and clicking my booking, clicking on the hotel page…nothing. It's all a lie. The reviews on priceline are fake. The hotel photos were faaaar from accurate. I have all the evidence to prove it but they don’t care. They now say I am supposed to take it up with the hotel? Even though I booked through Priceline. Literal and total scam. Be warned.
Ps all of this for me to actually only save a few dollars because of how crappy of a place I was booked into. Last but certainly not least when you call you are connected to someone from another country who you can barely understand because the connection is so bad and they are just directing the situation in circles. It's not customer service. It's just excuses and lies and no one wants to actually help you. Beyond frustrating.

I'm not one to write reviews but I'm writing this to warn people about what Priceline is doing with hotel reservations as this just happened to me last week December 2021. I went on a family vacation and had a hotel reservation confirmed through Priceline for over a month. I arrived at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in NY and was told by the hotel manager that Priceline keeps booking their rooms out even though they've called repeatedly and told them there are no rooms available. He said they have 10-15 Priceline families every week arrive and he feels so bad to tell them they have no reservation. My family and I had no rooms, we waited in the lobby for 8 hours while Priceline gave us the runaround and said they were escalating out case to their "Relocation Team" and promised to give us a comparable room.
They never called us back even though we called them at least 10 times to be told each time they were "working on it and be patient and we promised we'll get you another hotel room of comparable value". They never did. Our check-in time came and went and we finally had to pay $1000 more to get another hotel, 1 star less value because everything was sold out that weekend. This trip was ruined due to Priceline. They didn't care. I looked them up and they have thousands of poor reviews just like this where people are stuck without any reservations and all they want to do is cancel your reservation to quickly get them off the hook!
They should be held responsible for the thousands of ruined vacations and they should stop selling what they don't have, especially when they don't care and basically tell you that over the phone - that it's not their problem. I will NEVER use Priceline ever again. NEVER!!! HORRIBLE experience and even more HORRIBLE Company! They get an F in my book. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I had the worst experience with Priceline on Oct 7, 2021 so bad that I will be canceling my Priceline card and never doing business with them again. I happen to be a PLATINUM member, but they aren’t even willing to refund me my money (during Christmas time that I need for my children) after I was forced to stay at a hotel that was unsafe and dirty with roaches on the bed and toilet, drug dealers, gun shots, people overdosed in the hallway, and my door lock was even broken.
As soon as the sun came up (because I didn’t have enough money to pay for another room that night because Priceline refused to help me and refund me any money that night) An extremely understanding nice lady (Trish) said she would refund my money with no problem and then Priceline refunded my money in seconds even though they had told me MULTIPLE times that there was no way it would even be possible for them to do that, BUT I just looked on my statement and they only refunded one night so now I have a past due balance PLUS a late fee of a place I never wanted to stay at in the first place. As a platinum member I would have thought they would be happy to help me with this issue especially during Christmas time, but no they refused so I will be cancelling my Priceline card and never giving them another dime because they are greedy crooks who only care about money and not their customers.

I called Priceline a few times before I could get thru the call center. It was one call for 2 hours, attached the proof of call screenshot, she asked my credit card for change price, booked me, confirmed flight and sent me this email attached sample. I asked her for the receipt for the trip. She did not have it. So, she hung up. I called twice, they hung up and the third time I was told I will receive a callback in an hour. It was the middle of night in US. I fell asleep. I receive an email after 6-8 hours that this change was made directly by me so the priceline is not responsible. I checked the airline and my confirmation was canceled. In the meantime my parent was on their way to airport.
I called Priceline to help with this. Olivia's supervisor hung up on me as I am panicking. My parents are heart-patient and stressed out with all this stress. Ian took complained and told not one can help me right now. I will be escalated. In the meantime, what should my parent do to wait at airport? Called Priceline 5 times today three-time yesterday with no help.
I have used Priceline in past but I am going to put this information on social media with all the proof. I will get the IP test done where the email came from. It was priceline agent who booked it and emailed me. If your employees are not trained and this results in stress for the elderly customer, it is shameful for the executives to have a service that cannot resolve this issue.

Priceline should not be in business any longer. I had to cancel my trip August 2021, due to the rise of COVID again. I was told by the customer service rep that I will have a credit good until 5/2022 and I only had to pay a service fee and taxes. I called Priceline Dec 4 & Dec 5 to schedule a flight due to a death in the family. The original tickets were $286.00 per ticket for a family of 4. The rep said I need to pay an additional $1,000.00 because the prices went up and this what the airline is charging. If you have two different airlines as departure and arrival you will be transferred to different departments. The rep told me she could not give me the discount for Delta, but did not explain why until I became upset about it and then she started yelling and screaming at me over the phone and said the credits are given per each airline department and you will be transferred once I process your American airline tickets.
I ask to speak to a supervisor and she was no help at all. I tried to find something cheaper but the prices were sky rocket high on all other travel sites. The worst part of this I was given misinformation of only just paying for the service fee and taxes. So I ended up paying the extra $1,000.00. The rep said we are going to charge each ticket as an individual transaction because we need your authorization. I advise the rep the this would not be a good idea because my credit card company may suspect fraud activity. And it sure did happen with the last transaction as it was declined. I ended up having to use another credit card which was ridiculous. I received a confirmation from my returning flight, but not the departure which is Dec 09. I called Priceline as of today Dec 08 and was told by two reps they do not see my departure flight confirmation anywhere.
I was transferred to a travel specialist and was told I would be able to speak to a supervisor, but that didn't happen. I was transferred to an automated system to leave a message for the supervisor to call me back, which was over an hour. The good part of this was the supervisor was able to find my flight confirmation for my Dec 09 trip. He could not email me the confirmation, it was received over the phone-(strange). I did go on Delta website to confirm my flight and it is now confirmed. After calling customer service, we never got an apology or any type of compensation whatsoever, all that to being told after two hours of being transferred several time and having two call backs, that they were not going t help us out and hang up on me. 2nd, the next day, got the E ticket, got on the plane, and got to the republics. To realize there was no one from Priceline to direct us to our transportation to the hotel. To realize that there was NO Transportation Provided To the Hotel. So, we had to find a taxi and fight off several taxi drivers trying to take off with our luggage, till police came to stop them from fighting among themselves. All that to finally being over charged and being thrown on a small rundown bus from the "our airline".
3rd, extending our stay. This was an ordeal experience of about two days of phone calls of calling the airline and Priceline back and forth just for the airline tickets. Since we missed our first flight they cancelled our return flight. Now it had to be reactivated and reopen to change the date. I did spend a good 8 hours of my vacation on the phone just for this. I’m writing in regards to our recent booking through Priceline for flights with Alaska Airlines on October 26, 2021. Our experience with Priceline’s customer help was extremely disappointing. Customer service was unprofessional, inaccurate and entirely unhelpful. Upon arrival to Nashville airport to catch our first flight (Nashville - Seattle ###) we were informed that the second flight (Seattle - Victoria ###) was not in their system. We were told to take it up with Priceline since you were the third party vendor that sold us that flight. For the next hour I was on the phone with various agents who gave me opposing information, hung up while they said they were in the midst of booking us a new flight and saying untruths such as “We emailed/called to tell you that the flight was cancelled.” (This was untrue, we received no email and no phone calls. In fact, our itinerary from Priceline still showed the flight as scheduled. See attached screenshots.)
When we arrived to Seattle it became more clear that Flight # was never cancelled, it simply didn’t exist. Agents at Alaska Airlines customer support informed us that there are no Alaska Airlines flights that fly direct from Seattle to Victoria. It is clear that Priceline sold us a non-existent flight. Needless to say, this caused incredible stress, added 24 hours to our travel time for us to actually get home and personally cost us $400 dollars for additional Covid tests since the delay in arrival to Canada caused our initial Covid tests to expire their 72 hour time limit. All of this occurred with absolutely no help from Priceline at all.
I am extremely disappointed in the dishonesty and unprofessionalism from Priceline. We have booked through you dozens of times in the past but I’m sad to say that this has negatively impacted our opinion of you and it is no longer possible to positively recommend you to friends and family as we have in the past. Due to the incredible amount of stress and cost added to us to find our own way home, we expect a full refund of the booking.

Priceline offered a car rental reservation with a company called Nu Car in Baja Mexico. I paid for a car for 14 days. Upon arrival, the car rental company attempted to require an additional $500 usd for "insurance". This was in no way documented in the rental agreement. I did. Not accept the car. Priceline has attempted to deflect responsibility, but in fact, they sold me a service and did not provide it at the cost specified. Which is theft. Even if the car rental received the bulk of the financial benefit, priceline received a portion of the money and are therefore responsible. They benefited from this bait and switch, which is illegal. Attempting to deflect responsibility to the car rental agency is dishonest. They are party to the transaction and receive money from it so they bear responsibility. I would advise all consumers to avoid Priceline entirely. They are attempting to slow walk a refund. This is not an honest company.

My business trip was changed (not canceled) by one day. I had already booked my rental car so called to see what it would take to change it by one day. I thought there might be a small fee and I was willing to pay that. First I had to wait on hold for a long time to speak with someone who spoke very poor English. I had to ask her to repeat every other thing she said, unfortunately. Ultimately I received a lot of dodging of direct questions and "I'm very sorry I can't help you..." over and over. The long and the short is that they refused to work with me at all and directed me to the rental car company (Thrifty). Thrifty, of course, told me to call Priceline. I'll never use them again. I've had much better experiences with Hotwire and Kayak.

My family and I stayed at Crowne Plaza Hotel Harrisburg-Hershey 3 nights. Only first night was ok. Second day after a long day of visiting Hersey's Chocolate World we returned to our room at 7:00 pm in same condition we left in the morning. Called service desk and was told I didn't request service. Hotel cleans rooms only if service requested. Spoke with manager and he was rude. I asked for wet towels to be taken away and he refused. Only got two new towels and offered some toiletries. I requested service next day from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and returned to room at 4: 00 pm and found housekeeper just started to clean the room. She just gave us new towels and pillowcases. I was happy that dirty towels from 3 days were taken finally.
Ten minutes later we had someone barge in our room. I was watching TV with my son and person opened the door with card and got in our room. I was upset and asked hotel to check on computer who was in our room but never received any feedback. The person was in regular clothes and said she was looking for housekeeper. We could not sleep there 3rd night and left hotel around 4:00 am. In addition to bad service, rude manager we were worried about our safety. The only good and professional service was valet parking, but they charge $25 per day. I would never prepay hotel with Priceline or stay at this place. I called Priceline and they didn't do anything about this because I prepaid hotel. They delayed calling me back so I stay there all 3 nights and called me day after my stay and offered 15% coupon. Pathetic and very unpleasant! I used the phone-booking deal using customer care on Priceline and your agent FELIX, I think he sits outside somewhere in Europe, and he did send me the quote to my email. I confirmed and made the payment for the Invoice of $1427.10 on the Web. Later, when checking w/ the airline the actual price of that ticket that was charged is $957.10 inclusive of all taxes by the Airline and This agent took almost over $470 extra.
Felix should've confirmed the actual price of the ticket, instead, he charged w/ a higher amount with a variation of $470, and the PRICELINE customer service is so disjointed, no one has a clue how to resolve it and transfer the call from SALES to CUSTOMER SUPPORT and Back to SALES. The supervisory support is not there and very very unpleasant experience!!! I'm disgusted waiting on the call for more than 4-5 hours trying to solve this.
Finally on talking to various rude and un-polite customer service team members at Priceline, I came to know they hire 3rd party vendors to book tickets and not direct Priceline employees. Whatever the 3rd party vendor provides you in support doesn't reflect or sync in your Priceline app or profile. Even the trip number/trip ID doesn't sync and when you give those to price line direct customer support, they have no clue. I'm totally disgusted by doing business and getting cheated by this company!

Then in digging I see a # for Europcar, so I registered with them and found my reservation, which can be cancelled without penalty up to 48 hours before the pickup (over 2 months away). I rented a car via priceline.com which eventually used a company called “Economy Rent-a-car” in Mexico. And apparently this is the same company as America Car Rental. I booked it via priceline.com weeks in advance. It was a one way rental from Merida to Cancun in Mexico. After landing at Merida Airport, I went to the rental office to get the vehicle I booked. They told me they see my reservation on their system but they don’t have any car available. They left me empty handed. They didn’t offer me any alternative. I even asked them whether they can give me a car next day. They said no. They literally told me to use another car rental company.
I reached out to Priceline call center since I made the booking via them. I explained the situation and they told me they cannot do anything. They didn’t take any responsibility and told me their responsibility is to make the reservation at that rental company only. They washed their hands off and left me stranded at that airport. I had to rent a car last minute from another company with more than double the daily rate of advance booking because of them. Priceline is just a broker which is not taking any responsibility. I booked a hotel through Priceline; my friend and I planned to stay 2 nights. We arrived late Friday and killed a cockroach in the bathroom but was so very exhausted we decided to sleep. Saturday morning we quickly showered and left for the day. It was about 9pm when we got back to the hotel and noticed HUNDREDS of tiny bugs crawling on a table and on the floor around and under the table. We wiped them from the table several times but each time more scurried up from the floor.
The lady at the front desk said she'd have maintenance come check it out but she couldn't reach him. We tried to get her to look but she wouldn't. In the meantime, we killed another cockroach and videoed the tiny bugs (which I think may have been recently hatched spiders). I called Priceline and after explaining everything to her she called the front desk to find that maintenance wasn't responding and management wouldn't be in until Tuesday. I was assured that if we left I would get refunded on Tuesday. We left... no way would we sleep in there.
Fast forward to Tuesday, I receive an email from Priceline stating that the hotel manager didn't find any evidence of bedbugs and a refund would not be issued. I replied to clarify that I didn't say there were bedbugs and that there were roaches and hundreds of tiny bugs. I asked if I could send them photos and videos of said bugs. They replied again to tell me nothing changes and they will not authorize a refund. Side note: we weren't able to find another hotel and had been awake for over 40 hours by the time we drove "home". We washed ALL of our clothing items when we got home and we had tossed all food that wasn't completely sealed. We even tossed a package of paper plates and plastic silverware just in case tiny bugs had gotten into the packages. It was miserable.

The problem is, that even though the ticket I'm rebooking is $186 less, the agent keeps trying to charge me the difference. When I pointed out the error, he put me on hold 2 minutes. This continued back and forth while I tried to tell him the Priceline and AA site information. Then he finally said the ticket was less and I would lose the extra I paid, and I said that was fine.
Then he asked for my payment method and put me on hold. When I asked him why he kept putting me on hold during the conversation he said it was a procedure that they follow now. 4:18pm, Nov 12th, if you'd like to hear the recording. He had to hang up and call me again in order to book the flight I had all the information for and had already cancelled. He asked me again for my credit card, then said that it was for security purposes, even though I didn't owe anything. When my son reached his destination of the Howard Johnson hotel he was not only told that there was no shuttle service After midnight he was then told that his room had been booked and that the hotel was full with no transfers that price States on the is it a state on the app that there is and when he gets to the hotel it's booked up and there's nothing Priceline can do but refund me my money which takes 1 to 7 days. Took 3 days for me to get my refund. My son had to spend 2 nights in the Atlanta Airport. Because I was unable to pay for another night. Being I live paycheck to paycheck. No transfer no shuttle from airport. And the hotel was even called prior to validate reservation and time of my son's arrival. Thus was the most horrible experience ever. But the Slipknot concert was the best. The weekend for my son was unacceptable

This was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed. It was a nightmare. Mold and mildew was so fragrant it physically has me sick. When reported to the hotel staff, the reply was “well how long have ya been in the room?” After explaining I had just gotten there, there was an awkward pause before the conversation abruptly ended. We immediately left but still were charged a parking fee of $15, taxes and a “resort fee” of about $12. I tried speaking with Priceline who I actually booked with and the advisor stated she can give me 15% off my next trip there. 2 fairly large multi million or billion dollar businesses offer a consumer $22.50 as recourse for this nightmare of a hotel. Please do not waste your time.

Priceline is cheap because they compensate by giving you a code for 15% off of your next booking. If there is something wrong with your booking, the hotel will say, "Sorry you went through Priceline", then Priceline will say, "Sorry it was in our disclosures." It is a racket and takes advantage of people who have good faith in a hotel to provide a room that as advertised, which would be safe, clean and have working amenities.
My hotel was completely booked. My room - $250/night Marriott - had a broken air conditioner. The hotel could not move us rooms and promised to compensate us. So I left and never received compensation because I booked through Priceline. I lost respect for Marriott who would take my money after letting me sweat in a room all night long (with children) and then use Priceline as a scapegoat to not fix the situation.

We show up Friday at 4 pm to Knights Inn (the hotel we had booked weeks ago).. we were told that priceline had cancelled our reservation (we did not receive a refund or an email of this) and too bad because the hotel was now fully booked. We were on the phone with priceline for over an hour and a half and they basically said sorry and would refund us the money. We explained we didn’t want a refund. We wanted a hotel room for two nights that we had previously booked. They did not help us find a new hotel and basically just said, "Too bad. Figure it out on your own." Sadly, although Priceline made money off of me, their intent seems to be to side with the host facility on issues rather than protect consumers (THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION PROTECTS POSTINGS SUCH AS THIS i.e. THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT). Point: I stayed at a facility that was so enraged that I called Priceline and complained about broken elevators, no service, being harassed in the parking lot (I PAID FOR 3 DAYS...STAYED A DAY AND A PART OF A DAY...THEN COMPLAINED AND DEPARTED ALTHOUGH I KNEW I'D GET NO REFUND) that she kept my 100$ deposit.
Did she tell Priceline that I was disruptive or damaged items? No. She never mentioned one time that I was a problem. I recorded Jason (Priceline records their calls) Kansas being a one-party state. She just kept 100$ because she she felt like it. Priceline said they'd have manager call. No. They said I would receive emails. A confirmed & paid for flight times were changed by the airline, allowing 35 connections at O’Hare making it impossible to manage & the airport for the connection is very small with limited incoming flights which means the flight would be missed. The airline cannot make any adjustments to a Priceline booked reservation, Priceline has refused to help in any way. They say I must go through the airline, the airline says I must go through the booking agent. Priceline says not to call them for any issues until the flight is 7 days away (I call a month away as it is a holiday time flight) however they tell me the schedule change was emailed 3 weeks before I called to have the changes imposed by the airline adjusted and Priceline says that their email is my acceptance of the change.
I am a VIP member and I will stop booking anything through Priceline. There are many other booking agencies or I will book through the airline or rental car company directly. Priceline has no customer service, does not honor their commitments and lies to the customer. So it was going to be my family's 1st family vacation out of state, and we wanted to fly, (and would be our first flight as well). Not only does this service tell you that details are not available until after you purchase the package, but it only gives you 24 hours to cancel. Ok, so that part we understood, however we bought an insurance package as well should something happen during the trip or prior that would make the trip not happen (which mind you is an additional couple hundred).
First issue, I had to call the airline directly due to the seats not being together, they had a toddler and its parents all sitting in separate seating (because they don't give you the option to choose your seating in the plane), I had called Priceline and they told me (after waiting about an hour to get a representative mind you) that I had to call the airlines representative to change my seating (and promptly hung up right afterwards). So after doing that still separate seating but at least the toddler was seated with one of the parents.
Second issue, had rented a car for the week as well, which according to Priceline the car was supposed to be supplied at the airport after the flight. WRONG. Flight was an evening flight, which would not arrive until approx 12:30 am.... the said rental would only be available at the dealership 12 hours later for pick up. Same issue at the end of the trip... would have to drop the car off at said dealership even though the flight was an evening flight. So in all, package stated prior to purchasing that said car was supplied and delivered as soon as flight arrived, and could deliver prior to flight leaving... FALSE.
Third and final issue. Due to medical reasons, we had to cancel the vacation, and instead of Priceline telling us, "No problem," we had to personally call each service ourselves, and Priceline is also fighting us about a refund (which Insurance plainly states for medical documented reasons can be fully refunded). In all, I highly highly recommend if you are looking for a getaway for your family, take the extra five minutes and don't use this service. If you do, I hope you have a lawyer ready and court fees available.

When I called to complain in August, the Priceline representative apologized profusely for me not receiving the refund and said that she would put my case in a priority category.
Two months later, I have not received anything. I have called Priceline multiple times since and made no headway in receiving my refund. For example, I called this morning. The first agent confirmed that Priceline had received the refund from Emirates months ago, then passed my call to a "manager." I re-explained the situation for the umpteenth time to the manager, who told me that I would be on hold for "a few" minutes while he looked up the information again. After being on hold for 45 minutes, the call was terminated by Priceline. This is a very obvious instance of a very typical and dishonest stalling technique. Priceline is clearly hoping that I will eventually give up and let them keep over $1000 of my money. I don't know what possessed me to book with Priceline instead of directly with the airline, but I won't make that mistake again.

My flight was canceled while I traveled to Europe for the first time for the way home. When I tried to reach out to Priceline the girl on the other line hung up on me. I called back multiple times and waited and waited on the phone. I ended up purchasing new tickets to get home which cost me over a thousand dollars including the flight, luggage, new Covid test and hotels day. Not to mention a 13 hour layover and a days work missed. It was a frightening experience and I will never recommend this company to anyone.

On September 10, 2021 due to hurricane Ida hitting Louisiana and my car being damaged I rented a rental car through Priceline with Thrifty Rental. Got to the airport, was informed they didn't have any vehicles. That had been calling Priceline telling them repeatedly they didn't have any vehicles due to the hurricane here in Louisiana to remove their company from the site. The rates to rent a car was already expensive for just one week it was $440 for a car.
I called Priceline and was informed that if I book a car with a another company they would refund me the difference. While on the phone with the Priceline representative I booked a car with Budget rental car for $560 for the same dates adding up to a week. The representative was informed by the Budget representative they were out of cars as well by but would give me the last car available. I submitted my receipt as informed by Priceline that they should refund me the difference. To later be told by Priceline they are not refunding me because it was a different vehicle. So I paid $560 to rent a overpriced car for one week. Companies should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of customers especially during a crisis such as a hurricane. I am very disappointed.

On October 2, 2021 my we tried to book a hotel through Priceline in the San Antonio area. We clicked on the pricebreaking deal. However when we selected a hotel and went to the payment page an error pop up on the website said "This deal you have selected is no longer available. Please select another." We did so and paid for that hotel. No confirmation was sent until 3 hours later to our email. Then 7 minutes after receiving that confirmation we received a second confirmation for the first deal we attempted to pay for, the price breaking deal- the one that we were told was unavailable. So then we were double booked. Two hotels on the same night in the same town. This was a system error. We called customer service and explained. After 40 minutes with a representative we were told there was nothing he could do. We asked to speak to a manager, he said he would transfer us and after waiting another 15 minutes the call was dropped.
We then called again. Same thing, after 20 minutes we were told they could not do anything. We asked again to speak to a supervisor, the supervisor said they needed to call the hotels and ask if they could refund us, we were told they called the hotels and the hotels said no and there was nothing we could do about it. We told the supervisor in detail how this was an error on priceline's system and we were being double charged. We were not asking to cancel both. We were asking for a refund in the pricebreaking deal that should have never been charged. What was suppose to be a nice getaway turned into an expensive night of tears with no resolution or apology or offer to help from priceline. We will not be using priceline moving forward and will book directly with hotels. We will share our experience as well with all our friends and family to caution them of priceline's customer service.

I made a huge mistake and booked a trip through Priceline. My trip was to South Lake Tahoe. I needed to cancel my trip because of the Caldor Fire which forced roads and businesses to temporarily close down. I physically was not able to make it to this reservation due to this devastating natural disaster. I have called Priceline customer service 7 times and explained my situation each time, even though they have notes in my account about my situation. Every time they say they are unable to issue the refund due to the hotel. The hotel I was supposed to stay at has been extremely helpful and communicative. The hotel even provided an email address for Priceline to contact so they can sort everything out.
The hotel has not made any charges to my account and have confirmed that if a refund is issued it must be issued through Priceline. Priceline customer service representatives are not actually giving solutions, they are clearly reading off of a script and giving out empty apologize. I have requested an email address for Priceline customer service and was told these issues can only be handled via “bot Agent” or phone rep. What kind of company refuses to provide and email address to resolve inquiries?! I’m fed up and disappointed in Priceline as a company. I hope anyone reading this is dissuaded from using their services. Either book directly through the hotel or maybe booking.com. I was able to cancel my hotel reservation with them stress free. I called once to explain how the fires would not allow me to travel to my destination safely, and they cancelled and refunded me all at once.

Very rude customer service. I’ve used Priceline on several occasions in the past but my last trip to Puerto Rico definitely made me realize that using Priceline is not the wisest option. I made a reservation a day before the check in and the next day I found the same room way cheaper than the price that I’ve paid for. When I called them they let me wait on the line for about 20 minutes to see what they can do and he said that he is talking with his supervisor to see what’s the best offer that he can give me but he ended up transferring me to another customer service representative and then they hanged up, and I called again but after waiting on the line for more than 40 minutes they told me that I have to pay a penalty which is basically the price of the first night.
My question is why they didn’t told me that from the beginning instead of leaving me on the line? It is obvious that Priceline doesn’t care about the customers at all. I would advise everyone that is thinking to use this website to think twice before and use a website that has a free cancellation anytime and with a better customer service.

It is a public website after all. After many minutes of the runaround I was told a supervisor would be calling me and after hours they finally did. The supervisor told me the same spiel of. I reserved and paid for my booking back in February of 2021 at the Palazzo at the Venetian. When I got to the hotel in September for my trip, I was told by the hotel that no rooms were available without doing an upgrade. How can a room that you booked not be available?
Afterwards, when I reached out to Priceline to ask them why a room was not available, they called the hotel. The hotel made up a lie about telling me that there were no rooms available at that moment. In fact, the Palazzo hotel directly stated to me that there were no rooms available and did not give me an option to wait around for another room to open up. Instead they told me that I would need to upgrade. Priceline took the word of the hotel over their customers and said that because the hotel told me there were rooms available, they were not going to honor the original pricing by provided by Priceline. Save your energy and use another online option for hotel booking versus Priceline. Using them for this trip ended up costing me hundreds of dollars.

Reservations were made through Priceline and paid with a credit or debit card but upon arriving at Hotel I was being charged again. They ask for my credit card that I paid with and a security deposit of $100 dollars. Ok no problem, I present my card and assume that I am only being charged a refundable deposit. One Hotel charged me three times in one day!!! How the hell is that possible?? We do not live in the days of pen and paper ledgers the information is right in front of your nose stating payment has been made already. Months later and over $2500 in excess charges I am still trying to recoup all of my money. I am currently speaking with an attorney as to legal action being instigated. Countless hours trying to figure out how and why this happened, pouring over monthly statements finding all sorts of unauthorized charges and duplicate billing and on and on.
This is criminal behavior and as I thought I am not the only one who is victimized by these actions. I have deleted all Priceline apps from my devices and will never use these crooks again. I see a class action lawsuit in their near future. Will take this to social media as well as my local news channel consumer advocate reporter to make sure the word gets out. The so called "Leaders" in Priceline need to learn to lead by example and be able to adjust properly to these situations instead of disciplining the frontline members for upholding their ** policies. If you are going to rate your employees on being professional and being sympathetic, Priceline as a whole needs to be held at that standard. At this point it's not even business conducted. It's a strong presentation of ZERO professionalism and ZERO sympathy as a whole. Priceline needs to make this right. It's no longer about the money, it is the principle.
