My wife booked three nights through Priceline and needed to cancel the first night, she did not need it. They told her it was nonrefundable so she still had two remaining nights at the hotel. At arrivals the motel manager told her that Priceline had canceled her rooms that she had paid for. Upon contacting Priceline, they told her they could not refund her money. So they basically ripped the rug out from under her and my daughter and kept our money. In a nutshell they basically canceled her rooms right out from under her and kept her money!!! I highly discourage anybody from using this third-party scammer.

All we are getting is run around, it get escalated and no one calls us back. Our bank even confirmed to them that they charged our account without my approval, all I want is my money returned to me.

Didn't think nothing of it. Monday that developed to a cough. I knew Priceline refund so I tried to hold out til Tuesday to get the car. I felt worst and I tested positive for Covid. There was no way I could get the car. Spoke with Hazel ID number ** from the Philippines or whatever. She said, "Priceline doesn't care what happens to you. You can't change or get a refund." How rude. We are in a pandemic and these companies are using this to take advantage of customers. STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY!

Weeks ahead of my trip I reserved my car. A standard size SUV, price was reasonable ($372 for a week). Get to Jackson Evers International Airport and find out that the car was actually reserved for FLORIDA rather than MISSISSIPPI. So now the car got downgraded to a Ford Focus and the cost went up to $899 for the week.

I called the Priceline helpline. USELESS. They say they have no way of changing the reservation (or even setting up a new one). So now I have to eat the additional $527. Also, when entering Jackson MS in the app, it switched the address to New Orleans... probably the same way the original was switched to Jacksonville Florida. Buyer beware, don't trust the Priceline site to leave the pick up site as you typed it. Check and double check it before giving your credit card number. Better yet, don't trust them with your money at all. This was my first experience with Priceline. Turned out to be USELESS AND COSTLY. To say the least, I am very disappointed.

I called Priceline to make changes to the itinerary for a round trip from Alaska to South Carolina. I spent an hour on the phone allowing the representative to make changes, go over the details and pricing, and confirm what I wanted. By the time we had everything in place and ready to go I was informed that they needed to consult their rate desk to get the purchase authorized. That took another 15 minutes. They actually got one of two flights done. They had to consult the rate desk again for the return flight which took another 15 minutes. Then they told me the return flight wasn't available anymore so we had to stop everything and refund the itinerary changes. They told me I had to call the airlines and get the changes done through them. Which means I had to call Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines to make the changes to my itinerary.

Basically, that whole call was a complete waste of time because they lose the opportunity to book a flight because the process of confirming everything is too long. If you have to make a change to a flight and you booked through Priceline then you're most likely out of luck and you're going to have to jump through extra hoops to get your flights taken care of even if you have insurance on them. You're better off going directly through the airlines themselves and cut out the middle man.

This says a lot to me, it says "We at Priceline don't care what life brings to our customers we are not Giving one dime/credit back to you!". This will be my very last time ever using them. And I hope no one else does as they don't value customers that have emergency life situations.

I was planning our first family trip after no travel during the pandemic. Traveling with two children including a newborn is stressful enough. I booked a trip with the notion that I was paying a lower price than what was actually presented to me on my email confirmation. I understood that the reservation was nonrefundable however, modified price was not made clear to me on my reservation (not sure if there was a glitch). Immediately after placing the reservation and upon reviewing the email confirmation I realized the change in price and contacted customer service online via chat. After speaking to an agent, the chat was ended by the agent even after I was not finished expressing my concerns and situation.

I had to call customer service and the staff was not helpful at all. They kept insisting that the reservation was nonrefundable which I understood but would not address the price change. I understand that the prices fluctuate time to time but there needs to be a better way to communicate these to customers while reserving online. I spoke to a third agent who initially appeared to be somewhat keen on resolving the issue however, upon further discussion was not willing to provide any assistance to resolve this issue. I explained that this would be the last time I would be doing business with Priceline because the customer was not put first.

I rented a car through Priceline and paid for the car up front. The information identified that I may be charged for extras like toll charges, car seats, or other 'optional' services. But nothing mentioned insurance. I rent cars a lot. In fact, I worked at a car rental place while I was in university. So I know how it works. I always rent front Avis and had a reserved a car from them, but then saw a deal from Priceline I couldn't resist. $16/day! The Avis rental was $42. So I booked the $16/day Priceline deal through Economy rentals.

When I arrived, I was suddenly being 'upsold' items. I expected that. But what I didn't expect was I would be required to show proof of insurance to rent a car. The extra price of insurance was $32/day. That is double the cost of the car!! And I have insurance through my credit card AND my home insurance policy. I declined and they wanted me to show evidence. I didn't have it with me. I have never been required to show it before. They then refused to rent me the car. I spent an hour logging into accounts and getting on the phone with the insurance company - but what I really wanted to do was cancel the rental. Extra hidden fees that aren't written out made me worry about being scammed by them. I would rather head back to the airport and rent an Avis car.

I called Priceline and they said "sorry non-refundable". So after an hour trying to get my money back from Priceline I was stuck. I either had to pay an extra $32/day or lose my $200 that I already paid for the car, or spend another hour on the phone with the credit card company. I finally had the evidence that I was covered for insurance, and showed it to the lady at the counter, who took one glance at it and didn't even take a copy of it. Clearly it was just a money grab. I then go out to the car. It had almost 100,000 miles on it, was covered in dents, didn't have any windshield washer fluid, and the entire interior was covered in stains and the inside was chipped and dented and looked, and smelled, like it belonged to a bunch of drug dealers.

Never ever ever again. Pay more. Get a reservation at Avis, or Budget, or Hertz. OH - and did I mention that they still charged me $4/day extra for "insurance administration" fees??? Like WTF... because I didn't take their $32/day insurance I had to pay $4/day to decline it. NOTHING in the terms and conditions mentioned this. I will never fall for it again. On a positive note, the car didn't break down...

Years ago Priceline was responsive and had good deals. Experience last year was that I was double billed by a hotel and I eventually resolved the problem no thanks to Priceline. Latest trip is an overseas reservation where a Priceline "travel agent" apparently used "Agoda" to make a reservation at an overseas hotel but the hotel cannot confirm that I have a valid reservation.

Priceline gave me two separate confirmation numbers for the trip but the hotel would not acknowledge either one. The priceline "chat agent" could not understand the problem that I did not want to show up at an unknown hotel after 24 hours of travel and find out I did not have a valid reservation. Maybe I could get a partial refund eventually from Priceline but I do not want to spend many late night hours looking for another hotel after arrival because of a Priceline trademark screwup.

I am afraid that Priceline has gone completely clueless and is now completely unreliable. In theory, priceline has some value if you are looking at an unknown area and they can give you some hotel names. But they just cannot seem to give a reliable reservation. I do not need the misery that Priceline offers their unfortunate customers.

First of all, we couldn't locate the hotel as it was nondescript and in dilapidated condition. We had the worst shock of our life when the hotel quality was lower than 2 stars even though Priceline promised and charged for a 4 star hotel. It was 10 PM and we had already checked into the room. The carpets were completely soiled and the corridors were stinking. The room was even in worse condition.

When we called the Priceline customer service to complain, the first customer service representative promised that the Priceline relocation team would accommodate us in a nearby hotel and we were put on hold after cancelling our reservation without providing us with an alternative hotel. The customer service team was from a different country and had no clue as to where we would go late at night with a child. Where would we go at that time in the night with a child? We just decided to bear through the night in the same hotel and checked out in the morning. We had to find another hotel at the last minute for the second night.

I believe Priceline made three major mistakes. First, not providing us with a 4 star hotel as legally committed. The bidding process itself was a scam. I am happy to share why at a later time. Second major mistake was misleading us about the relocating team helping us to find a close by hotel. Finally, the third biggest mistake was to leave a family with a child in the middle of the night to fend for themselves. Please be aware of the scam as you would always get unrated hotel from the three choices that you bid on. Gullible customers get carried away by the lure of other two expensive hotels.

All they could do is give me phone numbers to call but after calling rental car place they told me that I paid Priceline and not them $270 for some great service to get phone numbers. I wasn’t able to get any of my money back from this trip even though I bought that trip insurance which is a joke. Also very rude people when trying to make a clam. The total amount I lost was $587. On April 15th I booked a hotel reservation through Priceline. Upon arrival at the hotel the receptionist asked for my ID, when I handed it to her she immediately handed it back and said "I can't let you stay here" and shoved my ID back in my face and started to walk away. I asked why she couldn't let us stay here and stated again that I had made a reservation. She said "You're a local. You can't stay here." I asked why being a local made me unable to stay there and stated that I had already paid. She said "the booking service should have informed you of that." She then turned around and walked away. I called Priceline and let them know what happened and the agent I spoke with was absolutely unbothered and told me they would refund me.

To top it off I receive an email today notifying me that Priceline accidentally over refunded me and did not notice until after the fact and will be pulling the over refunded amount from my account in a week. I am now being penalized for Priceline's mistake. I am absolutely flabbergasted by Priceline's incompetence and carelessness. Our entire Easter plan was ruined, our children were devastated and there was no apology to be had by the hotel or Priceline and now I am being penalized for yet another mistake made by Priceline.

This whole fiasco was absolutely unavoidable and ridiculous. The fact that everyone included in the situation was unapologetic and unbothered is unacceptable. This is not the first time Priceline has messed up our reservations and I will not only not be using Priceline but I will be recommending no one I know uses Priceline either. Shame on Priceline for not doing their job and making mistake after mistake after mistake. This is horrendous customer service.

Over a period of a couple of weeks I have attempted to book a flight on Priceline. Each time I found an acceptable flight itinerary and tried to book it I received the same response: "We're Sorry, that flight has just sold out." I spent an hour one afternoon trying itinerary after itinerary (a total of about 25 options) and received the exact same reply to EVERY one of them. There's NO WAY that 25 flights "just" sold out in less than an hour. Of course, each successive itinerary chosen was more expensive than the last. I even "leap-frogged" some cheaper choices, figuring the more expensive or more obnoxious itineraries were more likely to be available. Same outcome.

I wasted a LOT of time trying to book with Priceline, and then wasted some MORE time trying to COMPLAIN to them using their "contact us" option. My "chat" was obviously with a Bot at first, and after putting in several replies to this Bot I was finally routed to "Cheryl", and after waiting about 5 minutes for our "chat" to begin, I was then cut off by their system. Another 15 minutes of my time wasted. I'll be looking elsewhere to book from now on...

Somehow the booking came through as a choice of three hotels and that the final location "would be revealed after the billing was complete". I was given the Super 8 Wyndham. I called the hotel the day after and indicated that I would be arriving on the Thursday 14th, instead. This did not appear to be an issue. I arrived and the individual at the front desk could not book me in as I "was booked in on Friday by another company". ???? I was annoyed and very displeased at the location which was "NOT OF MY CHOOSING" and the individual said he did not want me at his hotel.

I therefore went into Quesnel and booked for four nights at the Ramada - which was where I wanted in the first place. Now I have contacted Priceline and they said that the booking was 'Not refundable'. This is unacceptable. They billed me $191.49 and my bill at the Ramada was $357.08. My stay was where I wanted and the service and experience at the Ramada was pleasant. Now, I am seeking a refund from Priceline and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! I do not care for 'cheaper' when other people are deciding where I stay. This is nonsense. I will always use the direct Hotel booking or for any other travel arrangements. PRICELINE SUCKS!!! I asked for a car to be delivered and returned to Tamarindo but when the confirmation email arrived it said the car would be at San Jose...several hundred miles from me. The website would not allow me to change their incorrect location. It also said I would be charged in full for cancellation which I attempted to do within a few minutes of all of this happening.

Rental cars charged my card and refuse to refund...their email also indicated do not reply to the address...so I had no choice but to go to Priceline. After probably about an hour attempting to chat with 3 different Priceline representatives I pretty much gave up. I called the number they provided and a recorded message said they would transfer me to rentalcars.com. They did not. Nothing happened and no response from the person supposed to be chatting. While I initially found 3 persons to chat with none of them even tried to be helpful but gave me the number that I called with no live person available to speak with.

I will never ever rent through PriceLine again. It is impossible to speak with a live person and the website does not allow for my situation. So I have been left with this charge on my credit card for a car that was impossible for me to pick up. I believe that this charge is fraudulent as it was impossible for me to pick up where they decided (not myself) the car would be dropped off. I am a 75 year old physically challenged widow on a small pension and am finding this extremely difficult but then anyone would! Not acceptable. Quite Frankly I am still in shock as I can't quite believe that there is not a live human being at PriceLine.

    Update 4/20/22:

The resort has graciously placed Tyson and Lindsay where she has easier access food, pools, view. A wheelchair is available for her if she needs to walk longer distances.

    Original review:

We purchased a Black Friday deal through Priceline, chose the flight and then the resort. The whole purpose for booking through Priceline I was that we wanted an all inclusive trip. My daughter and her boyfriend wanted their expenses prepaid and to only bring a small amount of spending money. Because my daughter has been having difficulty walking the last few days, I called the resort to check amenities and inquire about walking distances. During that conversation I was informed that the “junior suite All Inclusive” that we booked as a deal, was according to the resort not inclusive of anything. No food, drink, or activities included.

Since this was supposed to be a “proposal trip” you can imagine the stress on a young couple when they learn that to have food and beverages included it would double the cost of their trip. After hours of phone calls and being transferred from Priceline to booking.com they were not at all helpful. They have canned responses which are they same no matter what you say. They transfer between companies with a different representative every time and default in circles with zero intention or effort to help the consumer.

The resort Villa del Palmer was rude and unwilling to even help find a solution or even meet us halfway. Needless to say, stress increases inflammation and after dealing with these CON ARTISTS, she can not walk to the restroom unassisted now. She will not only need a wheelchair for the airports but also at the resort. This 22 year old couples dream of walking on the beach will now be looking at the beach from a place the wheelchair is accessible to and paying for meals that were advertised by the resort as included.

Priceline is the most unprofessional company I have ever reserved a car through. Why, you ask? Priceline reserved a car for me in the wrong state. When I called Priceline's customer service to correct problem either by a transfer of the reservation to the correct state or at least a refund, so I could apply the money to a new reservation, I didn't receive the proper assistance. Priceline's customer service is located in the Philippines and agents seem to be ill trained in customer service relations. In fact, the agents in customer service just passed me from one agent to another, then I was finally told that I could not transfer my reservation to the correct state or get a refund.

I was dumbfounded to find that my reservation was made in Albany New York, instead of Albuquerque New Mexico, where I needed the car and Priceline's customer service was not taking their mistake seriously. I resolved my own problem by reserving a car through Orbit, while I was still in the airport; then I jumped on the shuttle bus to the car rental center and picked up the car that I just reserved. I tried to get a refund when I return from my trip through Priceline's corporate office located in Connecticut; but found this to be a waste of time when I was redirected to the Philippines, to start the circus all over again. Yes, once again I found myself being passed from agent to agent and finally being hung up on.

To this day I still do not have a refund. It's important for me to mention that while I was at the Albuquerque Sunport rental car center, and told my story to the rental agent, he laughed and said that he hears this same exact story all the time from people who have made their reservation through Priceline. Priceline must not know the difference between airport abbreviations, such as, Albany New York is known as ALB and Albuquerque's airport is ABQ; or just maybe Priceline has a very good scam going on.

I booked a trip to Europe last Spring with Priceline, which also included a car rental. The trip took place on 10/14/2021. When I arrived to the airport I discovered that my trip from Albany NY to Newark NJ was not booked with United Airlines, as was stated in my Priceline ticket. According to Priceline I was to fly out at noon to arrive in Newark NJ and then late afternoon I was to fly to Munich, Germany.

Thankfully the United agent was very helpful. Priceline screwed up and I and had to be re-routed to Chicago and then on to Munich; it took several calls to Priceline and it was necessary for the agent to speak directly with Priceline for the booking code that is issued when an agency books with the airline. I sat in Albany airport from 10 am until 6 pm before I could get the flight to Chicago. Needless to say I did not arrive in Munich airport in a timely fashion to pick up my car so my car was given to someone else and I needed to wait for one to be returned and cleaned before I could finally be on my way.

I was staying for 2 months in Germany. A month into my trip my brother becomes septic and dies; he lived in NJ. I called Priceline and they were going to charge me $1100.00 to change my and my husband's ticket to fly home for the funeral. I couldn’t believe it, Their reason was that the airline was charging that fee to change my ticket. I called the airline and although they couldn’t do anything for me because I booked through Priceline, they did say that due to COVID they were not charging a fee to change a flight. So, Priceline lied to boot!

To make a long story short, trying to coordinate the changing of our tickets and needing to comply with the COVID testing the time was not in our favor and I would have arrived home on the evening of his burial day; in other words I would have been too late to attend the funeral anyway. I will never forgive them or forget what happened to me and my family and want to prevent something like this from happening to others.

I too, booked several flights last year due to my mother being ill and needing surgery. With Covid and her age, the surgery was pushed back rescheduled several times. With each occurrence regarding the booking of my flight and car, I literally cancelled within hours of booking. I was informed that the airline does not offer refunds, but I could contact the airline directly. After multiple attempts, I never was able to speak with an agent or received a call back. I have all documentation of when I booked with times of confirmations and times of cancellations.

Upon these reviews, it is my belief to contact the Attorney General regarding their unfair business practices. This is purely predatory. I am out with two airfares and car rentals over 2K$. I’m not an idiot, I would NOT have booked if I thought there was no chance of return of the funds, or possibility of credit due to these circumstances. In addition, I did purchase the travel insurance on both occasions, but there isn’t a qualified “claim” reason to appropriately fit this situation in order to file a claim. Again, would not have purchased the insurance if I had known. Both trips were booked within 24 hours due to the fact her surgical procedure was changed 3 different times during this time period. Please, please reach out and complain to the attorney general of your state, or the fed Attorney General for investigation of Priceline’s deceptive consumer fraud and false advertising practices.

I just got off a flight from Newfoundland, I was tired and in no mood to argue so I accepted the rental (Of course I took Pictures).

My flight was delayed by several hours so I never returned the car until 2 PM that same day March 4th. 2022. The agent at the desk said I was late and thus must be charged for a full day's rental at their rate not price lines rate. A total of $220 dollars extra.

Let's not forget I paid for the 4th of march in the accepted priceline agreement. But because I was a few hours late on a day I paid for already I was charged an extra $220 by Economy Car Rental, I said I do not agree with this charge and they said well you signed for it when you took the car. Nowhere was it written on the contract that if I was late on a paid day I would have to pay an extra $220 but I in fact got nailed with this fee. So I asked price match, since priceline said they have best price guarantee for their vip members. Sent out my receipt to priceline and they said they couldn’t give the price match. Ridiculous. Then don’t state that there’s price guarantee for vip members.

I have booked travel through Priceline in the past and had no problems. Tonight has been the worst that I've ever had and WILL NOT go through Priceline Again! I was trying to book a vacation (Hotel, Plane, and Car Rental) through Priceline. Did it about 5 times and each time it came up with "This Flight Has Been Sold Out". The last time a new message came up "Your Credit Card Has Been Declined." was Interesting! So I called the Credit Card Company and explain what had happened and they informed me I was charged for all those times. The total amount is $4,000.00 and more. So why did Priceline do this? Now I have to jump through several holes to get these charges drop.

Less than 12 hours ago I made a reservation with Priceline for a hotel. I will be visiting Barcelona for my first time and staying one night before leaving for a Mediterranean cruise the following day. I had the hotel, Grand Central Hotel Barcelona, at the top of my list so went to book. During booking I saw an advertisement for the Priceline Deal which advertises 3 hotels of the same quality and same area for about $100 less than the price I was about to spend on the Grand Central Hotel Barcelona. Using this is essentially a gamble - you could get what you want or not, but nonetheless, you stay in a nice hotel in the same area and save some money so I didn't care... as I don't plan to spend much time at the hotel anyways. A few hours later I was doing more planning and realized the hotel was nowhere near the area of the hotel of choice - over an hour walk from the hub of Barcelona and the hotel that was my first choice.

I messaged back and forth with Priceline which was also an awful experience. It's clear the agents are working with several individuals at once, as it took them over 10 minutes to read and respond to messages. After wasting about 45 minutes messaging just to be told there was no cancellation or transfer allowed, I called to discuss with a customer service agent over the phone. Priceline is well known and you would think they would care about customer satisfaction and understood the issue at hand which was very clear and not okay. I let them know I was happy to rebook right away with them with a credit and just get the original hotel but they said there are no exceptions. WOW! Mindblown by the lack of understanding and poor customer service and support.

In addition to this, I did some research on the hotel which they said I saved 21% on, however I checked on the official hotel website and other websites and found it for over $40 less on the same date! Priceline Deals is surely a scam and I hope no one else makes the same mistake of using it. I am disputing with my bank and will not be using Priceline again.

I booked a hotel into a small town, Holtville, CA. I did that back in February, completely paid for 3 nights. When I arrived in late March, at 10:30pm, I was greeted at the parking lot by Homeland Security telling that the hotel had been taken over by the state of California for immigrant Covid quarantine. Basically, the hotel was closed to travelers. I called Priceline and explained my situation. Not only would they NOT issue a refund, they would NOT relocate me, either! Their script was always the same; can't do anything without verifying with the hotel. My frustration kept mounting because they refused to accept that the hotel was CLOSED and that there was NOBODY staffing the lobby!

I ended up finding another hotel some 10 miles away that was a crappy little place, but with Priceline refusing to refund or relocate, there wasn't much I could do. After a week of being told that they will not do anything to rectify a situation that I HAD NOT created, I finally got my credit card company involved in disputing the payment. One call to the corporate office verified that the hotel in question was indeed closed. Apparently, Priceline could not be bothered to make such a simple research call. Going forward, I will be trying one of the other travel sites, even though I've used Priceline for many years. Priceline really let me down, and at a time where I was in a different state, and in the middle of the night. Book with them at your peril. They do NOT have your back.

So I asked them why they offered me an upgrade to refundable, which cost me an extra $100 per ticket, if the tickets really weren't refundable. They said they can't answer that question. So now I'm out $1,200. For this same trip I also did a rental car. Which they currently still will not let me cancel. At first they were willing to only charge me for the first night but then started with a run around stating that the had to contact the hotel and verify my claims, before cancelling my booking.

Checked in for two nights on March 31, 2022. Room was revoltingly filthy. Due to COVID I already wipe down all surfaces I am going to touch from light switches to counter and table tops. Black grime on nearly every surface. Food crusted to the counter around the microwave and coffee maker. Hairs in the bathtub, black streaks of grime on walls around bathtub. Discolored shower curtain was growing black mold on the bottom. Toilet was dirty, had multiple urine stains and pubic hairs from prior guests. Bathroom sink was scummy and drained extremely slowly. Had clearly not been wiped down in some time. Bed sheets stank. They clearly had not been changed from the prior guest(s). Blanket and coverlet stank. Had to make two trips down to the front office to request fresh linens.

First time front desk gave me a fitted sheet and a flat sheet. I had to go back to request three fresh pillow cases. Night manager told me she would see if she had that many. (She did find some for me.) What motel doesn't have three clean pillow cases at any hour? I was as pleasant as possible with the night manager who genuinely tried to help me. I could see from the look on her face when I came down the first time to ask for clean linen that it was not a unique or unusual request. I knew it wasn't her fault, so no need to make her life more difficult. However the owners/management need to either run a clean motel or find something else to do for a living. I did not stay the second night.

When I checked out the morning of April 1, (I wasn't seeing any jokes) the manager didn't even question why I was checking out early, nor did he ask how my stay was. Again, I suspect this is a common occurrence. People would rather leave money behind than stay another night in that filthy, extremely poorly run location. Of course no refunds for any reason is the policy of the location. I booked via Priceline unknowingly. I thought I was booking through Booking.com. Turns out Priceline handles all of Booking.com's package deals.

Priceline doesn't even allow for reviews of customer experiences. Now I know why. Wyndham should be utterly embarrassed to have their name/affiliation on the front door of this particular Travelodge. Guests expect Travelodge to be basic, but clean no matter where they travel. The Tucson Travelodge on Ina road completely failed in that expectation that Travelodge has spent decades building. Avoid this location at all costs.

Never used them before, never will again... Bought tickets to Mexico on March 31, 2022. Anyways was waiting for my friends to get paid. I just didn't want the price to go up too much for me. Well they got paid today and I wanted all of us to be on the same flights, seeing as there was so many open seats when I booked and still today on the flight there, especially I figured no big deal but I couldn't get the same return flight to pop up even though the airlines show they still have plenty of room, at this point, I was also gonna book our hotel too.

So I call for assistance as they are a TRAVEL AGENCY this should be no problem...but it was the guy literally told me that if we would all wanna be on the same flights that they will have to call the airlines directly and not use them?!! I'm like, "Um what I don't understand because we're trying to do our hotel too..." And then I said, "Well I paid for insurance coz when you go to purchase it asks if you want the insurance. It's like 60 some dollars or something so you can cancel or change at any time."

So I say to the guy, "OK well I got the insurance so can we just move me to this returning flight and then we be on the same flight or if we have to cancel mine and we will do it all together." And he tells me, "It's been past 24 hours, you can't cancel." (Not even trying to help me find a solution. I'm trying to spend money with this company and they just don't even care.)

At this point I'm mad. I'm like I literally bought insurance for any emergency but we all need to be on the same flight so I just wanna cancel or change and this guy straight up says, "The insurance isn't even through us, you have to valley them and make a claim..." I'm like omg because I've just spent 861$ with them and yeah so I'm trying to talk to someone else. Long story short, it's 10 pm now I finally got the number for the insurance and they aren't even open due to some unforseen circumstances! I was not familiar with Priceline but decided to try it for a car rental as a friend recommended it. First problem, they do not tell you the rental company name ahead of time. After paying for the rental I was told my car rental was with Allied Economy car rental (never heard of them) at Los Angeles/LAX. Next problem, they don't tell you but Allied Economy car rental cannot pick you up at the LAX airport. You have to take an airport bus (which did not arrive for a least an hour) and they drop you off at an empty parking lot of an abandoned building (where you wait until the Allied Economy car rental shuttle arrives, and of course it was raining and there was no cover).

The Allied Economy car rental shuttle driver did not identify themselves when he arrived and his vehicle was not marked (another car rental shuttle driver told us who they were when he asked us who we were waiting for). The Allied Economy Car Rental shuttle driver dropped us off in the alley of a "run down" strip mall. We went in via a back door and waited at least another hour to be serviced. The Allied Economy car rental agent told me that we needed proof of my car insurance policy coverage and that my "proof of insurance card" was not sufficient (we were not informed of this reqiurement or else we would have come with the information. Other car rental customers were also complaining). I had to call my car rental insurance (and wait for an agent) so they could talk to the Allied Economy car rental agent and go over my policy coverage.

Allied Economy car rental company still required an upfront $400. deposit (which we expected to be returned when we returned the car, but no, we were told it would be refunded in a "few days".) The Allied Economy car rental agent had a strong accent and we finally understood that we had to go back to the alley and wait for our car to be brought to us. Several people were also waiting for their rental cars and only one (1) Allied Economy car rental person retrieving cars and checking them out with the car renters.

The car renter in front of us rejected the car he was given because it was in poor condition physically (at least another hour wait until our car arrives). Our car is in really bad condition physically (graffiti on the driver's side door that was spray-painted over but still visible), scratches and dents everywhere, the car was 4 years old, but we still accepted it since we couldn't wait any longer (our 9 yr old grandson was hungry and had to go the bathroom, which the car rental agency would not let him use).

On the way to return the car we kept getting a message that there was a "Malfunction", an unrecognizable "symbol displayed" and told us to check the "owners manual" (which, of course, there wasn't one in the car). We kept our fingers crossed that the rental car would make it to Allied Economy Car Rental so we could return the car. Lastly, again, we waited about 45 mins to get the shuttle to the airport. Conclusion, the car was a wreck and the amount of time we had to wait getting to the Allied Economy Car Rental office was not worth the discounted price we paid Priceline. I personally will not use Priceline Car Rental service again without knowing in advance which agency I am dealing with.

When I cancelled my trip with Priceline, they provided no refund or voucher, even though I had purchased full trip coverage. They began by telling me that I was entitled to a voucher, but that I needed to speak with a different department. I was transferred literally dozens of times. I likely spent a cumulative 20 hours on the phone with Priceline, sent numerous emails (normally to no response), and was always very calm and patient in my dealings with the employees, giving each service agent a fresh opportunity to help. No one ever told me that a voucher was not possible.

I continued wasting my time with the company because they continued encouraging me that a voucher would be awarded, but that I only needed to speak with a different department. Then I'd be sent to the next department, and they would insist that I had been sent to the wrong place and forward my call to another department... or often the call would be dropped with no explanation. The last time I spoke with Priceline, I was told that they would review my case and send a formal response in 6-8 weeks. That was 10 weeks ago. I've still heard no response.

I've never felt like my money and time was wasted so thoroughly. If you look at my Consumer Affairs profile, I only have two reviews and they're both negative... but I leave Google reviews all the time, and it's a personal policy of mine to review what I love rather than to leave complaints. I've probably given two negative reviews ever: Priceline, and Allianz Insurance (who was supposed to protect this trip). Save your money and buy through the airline.

Well I already anticipated declining the CDW insurance and use the benefit that my Visa credit card offers for this car rental. But wait until I tell you how filthy these people are and how they played me to refuse it and forced me to buy their insurance for a very high unacceptable price. I called the Cancun location before my travel date to inquire about the pickup place and the shuttle, and they told me their agent will be in front of Margarita Villa rest outside the airport, and their agent will be there waiting for me. It took me a while to find the guy, as he was randomly standing in the back of the restaurant, with no signs or way to know that he is from this company. In about 15 min the shuttle came.

2- On arrival to the office which was about 8 min away, I found a young couple arguing with the agent at the counter and they were saying: "we are going to leave you a NEGATIVE review". The agent seemed careless about this remark. I opened my google and searched this company, and unfortunately they had a horrible review of 1.5/5... I overheard the guy saying, "How are you going to make me put a deposit of 8000 USD for a car rental?" When It was my turn, I pulled a letter that my VISA card provided me assuring the agency that they will cover for the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for the price of the car up to 50K. The agent -Edgar - told me that I will need to place a deposit of $8000 for the car rental, and I will need to purchase the Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance as well and it would cost $200 USD. I explained that I NEVER seen a car rental agency asking for a deposit higher than 200-400 USD.

Also, I have rented in the past in Cancun and the TPL was included in the price of rental. He said this would be the case If I rented directly from their website, and not from a third party site. Now I realize why other sites were giving me a daily rental fee of about 40 USD/day. Because they included the DWC and TPL. At this time my options were limited and could not find a car rental at other agencies for that SAME day for less than 80 USD/day.

My 3 little kids were already hungry and crying, including my 6 month old. The agents at America Car rental were disgracefully heartless and knew that I was a vulnerable customer because of the age of my 3 kids, and that I would have to pay anything to get my kids to the hotel. Well, I asked what would be the price if I purchased the CDW from them, so that I don’t have to put a hold of 8000 USd on my card, and he said it would cost me 286 USD. I said no way I would pay that for insurance just for 6 days of rental. Then, I told him to go ahead and put the $8000 hold on my card. When he saw I was serious about it, he sent me to another window with a new agent. I did not know why, but this is when I started sensing that they were playing a game. These crooks are trained to always look for a way to go around and force you to buy their insurance.

That’s how they make the MONEY, by DECEIVING YOU ONLINE, and then ROBBING you when you get there. I went to the other window, and the other guy asked me if I was willing to put a hold of 13500 USD on my card?.. I said why this amount now? The amount was $8000 with Edgar at the other window. He said. Edgar probably did not know that you need a FULL size car.. I am like really? Did not he pull my reservation??. The non sense continued, until out of frustration, I told him to go ahead and put a hold of 13500 USD on my card. This guy told me: "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RESERVE THROUGH THIRD PARTY WEBSITES". He then encouraged me to cancel that reservation and do a new one directly with him, but the price was literally going to be the same, so I refused. So I inserted my card, and this guy claimed that the transaction was DECLINED.

I said I have a limit of 25K on this card, and asked him to try again. He said: It was DECLINED for a second time…so I gave my VISA c.c a call, and within a couple minutes I got a hold of an agent who assured me that NO recent transactions were attempted at ALL that day from MExico, and that my card was opened for use with no restrictions abroad of the USA.. Then I asked this guy to talk to the C.C agent and he refused, and asked me to move over to attend the next customer behind me. I said, "How rude is that, I am trying to get this done because it's been already over an hour since I arrived to that location at 4:30pm? Why I am being sent back and forth between these windows and now you are asking me to move over?" What the **.? What a disgusting experience.

I continued to hold my patience, but you could see in my face my anger. He then explained that even if my credit card was used to waive the CDW, I still had to pay 286 USD for the third party liability insurance (TPL). Wow … How is this happening to me? With Edgar the TPL was 200 USD. I asked him how did they come up with these numbers? And why do they keep increasing? He told me they estimate the insurance price according to the car rental value… Really? At that point I started warning the customers behind me LOUDLY: “GUYS BE CAREFUL THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS, THEY PLAY FILTHY GAMES, AND THEY WILL TRY TO ROB YOU AND OVERCHARGE YOU WITH THE INSURANCE. Then the guy started threatening me that he will call the cops, and refuse to rent me a car.

Well, he asked me to go back to Edgar again. And Edgar said that he does what he is told to do, and that this is done with all customers. NICE, it's like telling me don’t feel unfortunate?? At that point I went ahead and purchased the insurance, overpaid triple of what you would pay for this rental somewhere else because I have 3 little kids ( 6 months, 2 years and 5 years) that were crying out of desperation after a long trip. It took about 3 hours from the time I started searching for the agent / shuttle until I finally got my car. To top it off, they gave me an ugly car, that had a bad smell, and was severely scratched and dented everywhere, and their agent that checked me out asked me to give him a TIP. I would have gladly done it if you guys did not rob me inside.

PLEASE THINK AND RETHINK YOUR DECISION TO RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. Don’t look at their prices because after doing some digging online I found out after falling in the trap that many Many MANY people went through this. I just wish I knew about it. I am going to report this agency to the BBB and Consumer Affairs.

It was a nightmare from the time I started searching for their agent outside the airport until I got the car. Space is limited to explain here. Don't look at their low prices. They will overcharge you when you get there by Imposing to purchase the CDW and TPL from them. They won't accept your credit card CDW waiver Insurance, so you are forced to buy theirs which is SUPER EXPENSIVE. They also take a very high unusual amount of deposit 13,500 USD which is insane. I mean I ended up paying almost 85$ per day for horrible car that smelled smoke, was heavily scratched and dented everywhere, did not even have basic features. These people must belong to a big mafia in Mexico because I don't understand how they are still in business.

In October of the previous year I booked a Flight through Priceline and saw a good deal on a rental car if I bundled them together through priceline so I did. When arriving to the rental car facility they were completely out of cars with a line of multiple people waiting for the next car to return. With no idea when I would even be able to get a car and make my appointments I had planned for months I decided to call Priceline, cancel my car rental, and book at a much more expensive rate at the facility through a different agency due to the necessity of an immediate car. Priceline informed me that day that the reimbursement would be processed when the rental car company confirmed they did not have cars, as well as they will pay the difference between my new rental and the old one for my inconvenience. Great news and great customer service, I thought.

This began a long battle between Priceline ignoring me, putting me through hours of robotic phone waiting until finding a new agent to talk to and reexplain the situation with the employee to tell me that I need to wait longer. The day after I received my bill from the other car agency I submitted the receipt and expected a reimbursement. Long story short it is now Almost April, & months later. I finally got a check after waiting and calling over ten times asking about updates and confirming information along with a very rude manager who kept saying I did not qualify for the reimbursement because I didn't rebook with priceline at the Car rental facility, he was wrong and the email I was sent never stated anything of the sort.

Today I went to cash the check I just received, it is dated four months prior to arrival and the teller at the bank has told me it isn't released for payment. I am currently writing this review while on hold for the who knows time. I will never book through them again and advise everyone to do the same. Genuinely, I have never written a review until right now. I am no Karen and I have never been mistreated by an entire company like this before.

I wanted to ADD two days to the front end of the rental arrangement. NOT CANCEL, NOT SUBTRACT Days, ADD Days. The original representative was no help and after I insisted on speaking to a manager, she finally relented. The manager was worse. Totally indifferent, totally unsympathetic and totally NOT HELPFUL. Did not even offer alternatives. Yes, I saved money by using Priceline. But, their complete lack of care and inflexibility is not worth it. I will never use them again for anything.

My Florida trip began with a hotel reservation snafu with another company (which we now have been compensated for thought it took so time) so we had no choice but to try to book another hotel while sitting in the middle of the airport. We saw great reviews for Priceline and decided to book through them. What a huge mistake. We ended up in a hotel from hell for which we were charged $200 more than the hotel we were originally set to stay at and the facility also tacked on a "resort fee". Resort? I truly think NOT. Cigarette holes within the carpets, bed shams, and chairs. Also had a flushing problem with our toilet and not sure if you have ever heard of "water hammering". Well it when pipes that carry hot water bang continuously while running or using the hot water. Not only did it do it in our room but also the room above us.

I went to the front desk about this and they informed me that they had no more rooms available to move us to. So I asked why charge people that astronomical amount plus a resort fee for such a terrible room. You know what he said that Priceline places their customer there. So I tell you before you use Priceline be sure of what they are going give to you. I would speak with the hotels directly or look for less prices through other sites such as Expedia or Travelocity. We have been going back and forth with to at least get the difference back with what we had paid the original hotel we had booked but d they only want to offer us measly 15% credit to use if we book with them again. No thank you and buyers beware of Priceline.

Horribly frustrated after spending hours with them and car rental company to fix issues with correcting wrong reservation drop off time, that happened after their online generated reservation system had issues. My car rental reservation through them had glitches when trying to complete. The forms kept losing information already filled out, after the make payment was clicked online. First it did just mill, then when it went through, it had faulty info not filled out as I had entered it, but that seemed to have been auto generated. One customer rep even told me it was online generated and sometimes automated. The car rental company rep, once I spoke with them, said it had happened before with reservations through Priceline.

The error, once Priceline found the reservation, as they could not see it fully online, was in the drop off time of the rental car reservation they had. I had to call to sort it out as I had gotten the confirmation email, I tried the online chat, but that was a mess. They did not have the conf number or trip number I gave, or my name even on any reservation, and chat seemed glitchy as well. So I called, only to be directed to the car rental co directly. Once talking to the car company, I was directed back to Priceline for correcting the error of wrong drop off time that I had not filled out. The car rental co could not see entire reservation and had not got confirmation from Priceline of payment even if I had paid and got confirmation of payment per email from Priceline. The car rental co had my dates and time (but wrong drop off time) and they had my name.

Once back with Priceline and several hours of talking to explain again what had happened, they said I now have to pay more. Talked to supervisor that was trying to be overbearing and did not want to admit the error was on their end, and only option was for me to cancel the reservation and start over. Not only would it take all the time, but be more expensive for me now. The manager, after I talked with yet another CSR, “explained”, that things change all the time and so the cost will be more now, and with the changed drop off time (from the incorrect one that erroneously had been entered by their system to auto do 24 hour blocks). Believe a better business would have compensated the up charges caused by their, at the time of reservation, faulty glitches, that caused the errors that now would cost more to fix! That they could not fix, and or, did not want to correct.

Canceled and asked for complete refund and will not ever use them again! Not worth it, as in the end, the “deal” you thought you got and paid for, was either fraud to bait then up charge, or when they make errors, they don’t want to correct them if it brings more cost. Again, I would understand if I had made the error, but it was their error (on their end) so they should have fixed it and owned it! Manager kept repeating it would cost more now even though I explained I had filled out another time for dropping off when quoted and entering the reservation, and it was the price I was charged, then the drop off time was incorrect in their confirmation that was auto generated and now fixing it would cost more as the drop off time had changed (by them). Just so frustrating that they did not own the error! Wish there was a way to give negative stars for rating!

So I drive to Avis to pick up car and am told they have no reservation for me for I cancelled it. HUH? And they do not have the reservation still for Priceline has not released the money because I canceled it. So I can't use the rental I paid for, because I didn't pick it up on the date I requested for the week long rental and I am not able to be refunded for the reservation I can't use. How in the world is this good business.

Avis told me they will typically call them to verify the car was not rented and then they will refund for nothing took place....not me! And I know I will be told it was in the fine print.... But if that is how you choose to run and do business, that is pretty dang sad! You just put a single dad of three behind the 8 ball pretty badly for charging me $500 for something I can't use or get refunded.

On February 24, 2022, at 12:56 PM EST, I purchased an airline and rental car reservation for the dates in February to Indianapolis, IN from Washington DC. The reservation total was for $363.28 ($233.03 for airline reservation travel and $130.25 for rental car reservation travel). Within less than a minute, also at 12:56 PM EST, I cancelled this reservation online upon seeing that I made a mistake. I intended to book travel for dates in March, not February. I subsequently received an email notification of the airline cancellation and an assurance that I would receive a refund of $233.03 within 1 to 3 business days. Minutes later, I called Priceline to confirm the cancellation of my rental car reservation. I subsequently received an email notification of said rental car cancellation February 24, 2022 at 1:03 PM EST.

On February 27, 2022, I received the rental car reservation refund in full. However, 21 days later, I have yet to receive the airline reservation refund. I first called the call center to resolve this issue on March 4, 2022 and spoke to a Priceline representative for 43 minutes. Over the course of that call, the representative placed the blame on my bank for not processing my refund. I informed him that I already called my bank about this and reminded him that I had no problem receiving the rental car refund. The representative then assured me that he had elevated the issue and I should receive my airline reservation refund no later than 48 hours.

On March 8, 2022, having not received my refund as promised, I again called Priceline to resolve the issue. The Priceline representative, although different from the first, again tried claiming the problem must be on my end and to contact my bank. I assured her the problem was not my bank, but the lack of a refund being issued. The 21 minute exchange ended with the Priceline representative assuring me that the issue would be elevated and if I didn't see the refund within 48 hours to call back.

On March 11, 2022, still not having received a refund, I again called and spoke to not one, but three Priceline representatives. Once more, each representative tried blaming my bank and one even tried blaming American Airlines for any refund delay. This excuse, much like the "it's my bank's fault" excuse that I have received several times, is also without merit. I called American Airlines, they checked my ticket number, and assured me they never even received any funds because the flight was voided as soon as it was booked. Since then I have sent several emails to Priceline with no response. I suspect they gave me an email address that is either never checked or meant to defer customer complaints they want to further avoid. Needless to say, don't use Priceline. They are a highly dishonest company. Be warned.

Have booked very few car rentals in my life, so to start, I'm not an expert. I had a short road trip planned for this weekend. Several months ago, I searched online thru Priceline and booked a rental using Budget. I paid for insurance online, got everything confirmed, and was really looking forward to my road trip. Then, the day before I was to pick the car up, Budget calls. Just wanting to confirm, no big deal. I confirm. Then they ask if I will be paying with a debit or credit card. On a side note, I had gotten myself in trouble when I was in my early 20s with credit cards and have worked very hard to fix my credit since. I no longer use them if I can help it. I do keep one with a small limit for emergencies and to keep building my credit.

I told them I would be using my debit card, same as I have when I booked the reservation. I was then told I needed a utility bill to complete the rental. I have many bills in my name, cell phone, car loan, rental lease, insurance, even bank statements. None of those work. It had to be water/trash, electric, or something like that. My problem (used to be my luck) is that all is included in my rent. They point blank refused to rent me a car. THE DAY BEFORE MY TRIP!! I called literally every other car rental agency in the greater Kansas City area, but not a single car was available at that point.

No notice was given beforehand when I made the reservations that I needed a utility bill in my name to rent a car. I'm a grown man, have a family, enough money in the bank to buy a new car if needed (saving for retirement). None of that mattered. I still was not good enough. And yes, I do have a perfectly decent car I drive every day. The whole reason we rented, was we did not want to put the extra mileage on our car.

I had made a package reservation including air-hotel and rental car on MAR. 9/ 2022 that would start on MAR. 14/2022 in the amount of 1761.16 which was paid on a CAPITAL ONE CARD. On MAR. 10/2022. At 9.50pm on MAR.9 and 10 minutes after I made the reservation with PRICELINE, I had to call PRICELINE back to give them a TSA number which I did not give to PRICELINE when I made the reservation. I talked to a man of my concern for this small change and he told me that I had 24 hours to make changes. On MAR 10/2022 AND 15 HOURS after I made the original reservation, I called PRICELINE to notify them my travel dates were moved one week ahead from MAR. 21/2022 TO MAR. 26 and would request he to adjust my travel date reservations due to this emergency.

The agent confirmed I was within the the 24 hour window and then asked what reservation I would want for her to cancel first. I told her I did not care but to do the flight first and then the hotel and car. She proceeded to cancel the air which she informed me and then proceeded to cancel the hotel and car. After five minutes away from the phone, she came back and informed me she could not cancel the hotel or the car due to hotel and car rental policies. I then told her that if that was the fact, why did she cancel the air? She had no answer.

I then called the hotel myself and was told if I had not used PRICELINE, they would adjust the dates or cancel the reservation but the reservation I made with PRICELINE was in their control and they had the ability to move the dates or cancel the reservation which is not what PRICELINE told me. PRICELINE told me it was the HOTEL and THE CAR RENTAL POLICY. I called CAPITAL ONE to notify them of this problem but advised me to reach out to PRICELINE one more time in order to try one more time for a change of dates or to secure a refund.

I TALKED TO A VERY DECEPTIVE WOMAN that stated that no refund was going to be issued and no change of dates for the hotel or rental car due to hotel and rental car policies. After listening to her lies, I informed her that I called the hotel and was told that if I went to them and not PRICELINE for the reservation, the hotel would have moved the dates or cancelled the reservation. At that point, the agent lied again and said the hotel did not know PRICELINE policies on refunds which differ from hotel policies which she stated was the reason for the no refund. At that point, I notified CAPITAL ONE TO CHALLENGE THE REMAINING CHARGE OF 1343.54 SINCE I DID GET THE FLIGHT REFUND OF 417.60. I notified PRICELINE that I would be filing a lawsuit based on DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES and FRAUD. BE VERY CAREFUL IN EVER DEALING WITH THIS TYPE OF COMPANY

This is the worst experience I've had with Priceline. I made a reservations at 6:45 pm, called back at 9pm to cancel and they stated it was canceled. Called back because Expedia had already refund the money. Customer services rep was very disrespectful and hung up the call. And now they are not refunding my money and you can't talk to a manager. The rep stated on a recorded line and said that she see the call but the rep didn't cancel it. I asked why she didn't know, ask for a manager. The rep said there is no one higher than a supervisor I can talk to. I'm out of $976.00. Don't go through priceline. They are the worst and the customer services is unbelievable.

So, I called the hotel where the booking was made and they told me they could not find my confirmation number Priceline had given me and told me to call Priceline directly.... called them... put me on hold.... came back saying the hotel refused to refund the money. I say... "So they did find me after all..."

Priceline never put me on the line with the hotel while they spoke to them and when I told Priceline that I had already spoken to the hotel and they told me they didn't my reservation.... no response. I asked Priceline if they could move my reservation to the correct dates since I had already been charged. Priceline rep says.... "No, nothing we can do for you," since the hotel (which already told me they didn't have my reservation) wouldn't refund Priceline the money so they wouldn't refund me. SHADY COMPANY!! Would like to share my recent experience with Priceline with someone other than the customer service number provided. I booked a travel package to Vegas with Priceline which include flight and hotel. I received an itinerary and even checked it before I left for my trip. Everything appeared as I booked, but to my unfortunate surprise when I arrived at the hotel, they did not have my reservation. I was shocked and disappointed. I called Priceline and I was told by the agent not to worry and everything would be handled. After being on hold for bit, I was told my hotel reservation was canceled in error by a computer glitch that Priceline was having. I asked why this happened and the agent told to me there was no reason and it was isolated incident. The agent informed me not to worry and I would be transferred to the relocation department to further assist me.

I continued to express my concern/worry. I told the relocation agent that I would like to stay at the hotel I originally booked, but would consider other options as well. The agent came back and told me that there was nothing Priceline could do for me, but to cancel my hotel reservation and offer me a refund. I pleaded with agent that I was stranded in a state that I was unfamiliar with and did not have anywhere to stay. The agent apologized and told me that canceling my reservation would be the only option at this point. I have never felt so much fear at this point because when I asked the hotel how much to stay, they informed that rooms were starting at $400+ a night. I couldn't believe that I could book a room with no problem at these last-minute high prices, but the relocation agent could not help me out at all.

I have never been put in a situation like this and I am still very upset that your company would just leave someone stranded after admitting this was an error on their end. Update: Priceline did end up covering the additional cost of my new reservation that I made excluding the resort fees which I was told was my responsibility and not theirs. This resolution took me emailing corporate after my trip.

I have had several excellent experiences with Priceline -- particularly when booking hostels. Though, one should note their cancellation policy is non-existent. Knowing this, I purchased the additional travel insurance through Priceline when booking round-trip flights. The insurance supposedly covered cancellation of flights. Unfortunately, when I called to change a flight, I was told that my insurance only covered my first flight! This was stated nowhere I could find. However, the insurance policy I had said it covered the entire duration of my trip. Had something happened on my trip, I never would have known my flight was uninsured!

This was Priceline's fault, not the insurance company. Priceline should have made this more clear, as I booked the insurance through Priceline. I truly do not blame Allianz Insurance. Luckily, you can cancel Allianz within 10 days of booking and I was able to get a full refund because I noticed early. Expedia and other companies actually allow changing of flights, so I recommend looking elsewhere to book inexpensive travel experiences.

As a longtime Priceline customer, it hurts me to give this review. I bundled a hotel & rental car for a trip to Florida. The car company was Green Motion, which we had never heard of, and they were listed as being at the Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. They were not--they were over a couple miles away in a sketchy area. Their van never came but thankfully a driver from a competing company actually gave us a ride to Green Motion’s location.

We opted not to buy their insurance since our own policy covers rental cars but were told that we had to pay $8 per day as an “administrative fee” for listing our own policy—seriously??? Absolutely one of the dumbest things I had ever heard of, but there we stood with our luggage, stuck in the middle of nowhere with no car unless we agreed to pay this $45 fee which they refused to drop. We had pre-paid Priceline what was supposed to be all of the charges, so what was up with charging more money once we got there?

After we got home, I talked to several customer service agents at Priceline & they were either too dumb to catch onto the fact that customers shouldn’t be charged extra or that’s just their song & dance but none would help me get the money back. Then I found the name and address of the man in charge of Priceline‘s car rentals and, since Priceline wouldn’t give me his email address or phone number, I sent him a letter asking for help leveraging this company for my money back or refunding me.

Additionally, I hoped they would check the company out because they weren’t located where they were supposed to be, didn’t seem to have a shuttle to their office as was advertised and charged above and beyond what I should’ve had to pay. I got no response. I will never use Priceline again & highly recommend that you don’t either. It goes without saying that everyone should stay away from Green Motion too.

They have been sending me emails letting me know my credit will expire in March, when it expires 3 months later in June. When I finally got all my revised travel arrangements together, and called to book a new trip using my credit, it took 20 minutes to verify my identity. It then took another 30 minutes to attempt to price the change on one of my 2 tickets, at which point I asked to look at cheaper flights, and was told they can only look at 1 set of flights per customer. Worst scamming company that does everything in its power to make the customer experience miserable and squeeze every cent out of you. It is MUCH better to book directly with a specific airline or hotel instead. I spent 8+ hours total with Priceline representatives on the phone over a 24-hour period (beginning at 3am in the middle of the night) and ended up with a completely terrible "solution," losing money for the flight I was trying to switch due to Covid. I then tried a different approach and called the AIRLINE directly, and the airline resolved the issue within 10 minutes of the start of the phone call, and I was left with money left over for flight credit. If you care about your sanity or bank account, don't book anything through Priceline - ever!

My experience was not based on only one customer service representative. I interacted with a total of three representatives and a friend of mine interacted with one, and all four times, the script was EXACTLY the same: the representative would put you on hold multiple times for made-up reasons, and when they returned, they would claim that the specific flight you want to switch to is actually more expensive (even though Priceline's website and the airline website would show a lower price), so that you would have no flight credit left over.

For example, I had paid for a $500 flight, and I wanted to switch it to a flight I found for roughly $200. When I asked about that flight, they claimed that the flight costs $500, so I would have no credit left over! When I pointed out the conflicting prices, they just claimed that their website price was the "non-discounted" price. Even after pointing out the prices listed on the AIRLINE'S website, Priceline still wouldn't budge, and made sure that you lost ALL of your refund and couldn't use it toward a different flight.

Another thing the representatives would do is leave you on hold for long periods of time (at least 45 minutes each time) for nonsense reasons after you asked for a very reasonable, straightforward flight switch, such as needing to "check" something, or "talk to someone else." Then, when they returned to you, you ask one question, and they put you on hold for ANOTHER 45 minutes. This ended up eating up hours of my day. I have to wonder if representative of Priceline are instructed to make the phone call as difficult and irritating as possible so that customers will not want to take the time to get an exchange or refund for credit. I have never had a worse experience with any company - ever. If you don't want to waste time, money, and energy, avoid Priceline at all costs!

Due to a snowstorm our flight was delayed a day. I attempted to contact priceline via email but no response. There were no transfers or changes allowed on my reservation so I took it as a loss knowing that at least my SUV that I paid extra for would be waiting for me upon arrival since it was reserved and pre paid. Not so much. When we arrived at Fox rental car in Phoenix all of my category SUVs were gone but they could downgrade me with no price adjustment since I paid through priceline. I had no choice at this point so I took what I could get.

Upon return there were nearly $75 in additional fees from the rental company directly that were not part of the priceline full payment and none of them related to any damage or otherwise. If I could give zero stars, I would. My most recent experience with Priceline, will be my last one as they have taken advantage of the vulnerable state I found myself in. Not only did they offer me bad flights knowing I was desperate, but they were not available to rectify the situation they put me in. At first, Evan seemed very helpful with finding me a last minute ticket to Europe to see what I thought were my dying parents. At first he offered me a three thousand dollar flight, which I genuinely thought would be first class, but once I asked him that, he gave me another option that seemed much more “reasonable”.

In my vulnerable and frantic state, I thought he had gotten me a deal and a great flight, when in fact I found out later that there were much cheaper and quicker options. In my great hurry, I accepted the terms that the flight was non-refundable and I took Evan at his word when he stated that all I had to do was get to the airport four hours before the flight and it would be an easy flight for me. He insisted there was nothing else I needed to worry about besides my negative COVID test.

Unfortunately, all of his reassurances were wrong. It turned out that since there were two flight changes in Europe, I needed not just the two vaccines and the negative COVID test but also the “booster”. Lufthansa could not change my flight since I had not bought it directly with them and NO ONE at Priceline answered the phone or email to help me resolve this issue. I had to buy a WHOLE NEW FLIGHT thru another airline that was faster and cheaper and was never offered to me by Evan. When I finally was able to get in contact with Priceline, after I arrived at my destination, I was told there was nothing they could do. I am very disappointed with my experience and I feel taken advantage of.

I have all documentation needed to prove my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with PRICELINE. DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!! This company is dishonest and a true RIP-OFF! I reserved a mini van in Las Vegas. I paid for the rental upfront to ensure that there were no hiccups during my 48 hour stay in Las Vegas. I arrived at the rental car counter after waiting in an extremely long line to get the rental care shuttle and was told my vehicle pick-up location had been changed (by Priceline) to a location that was over 20 miles away! I asked how I was suppose to go to that location and I was told to take a cab or an Uber - out of my pocket! There were four of us so of course, even that costed more money than usual.

We finally get an Uber who drove forever to get to the 2nd location. When I walked in, I was told "that's your rental car pulling out of the parking lot right now". Of course, I'm thinking maybe they were taking it to be washed or gassed up. I was wrong! They had apparently rented my pre-paid vehicle to someone else who was leaving. HERE'S THE CLINCHER! They had NO MORE CARS available anywhere on the lot! I was given the cold shoulder as if I had done something wrong. I was then told that I would need to call the rental care company (Hertz) to see if they could arrange something - NO LUCK. Then I was told to call Priceline back to see if they could arrange something and they transferred my to several other representatives who were unable to help me.

After nearly breaking down in the rental car office, one of the customer service personnel felt so bad that we were stranded, rented me an Uber to take me even farther away to a totally separate location to pick up a car. *Also, the Uber that was ordered by the Hertz person was for one passenger so I had to pay out of my pocket a second time to upgrade for four passengers. When we finally arrived several hours later we were given a vehicle that I wouldn't offer to a person I hated. It was a real jalopy! Of course, I had to pay another deposit for that jalopy AND I would end up having to drive WAY back over there to return it before taking an Uber to the airport when it was time to leave (approx. 35 miles).

Needless to say, by the time we finally got a car we were way late for our other reservations, exhausted and starving. Apparently Priceline makes promises that they cannot deliver and utilizes sub-standard packages for vehicle rentals. I wasted way more time and money that I simply didn't have but the worst part is - I was so upset by the time I settled down, it was already time to leave Las Vegas. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I will NEVER USE PRICELINE again! Priceline is unprofessional, disorganized AND deceptive!

Oh, I almost forgot!!! When I received a follow-up email from Priceline the information for my rental was weirdly wrong including dates of rental November 2021 (should have been February 23 - 25, 2022; but it also showed my reservation pick-up location as Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Airport in DETROIT - NOT LAS VEGAS !!! (???) and also car rental company as Avis (should have been Hertz!) See attached.

Please never buy trip interruption on ticketing through Priceline. You will never ever get a refund. And guess what? They don't care!

I had to postpone my trip last August due to COVID and Priceline gave me a credit for my flight. I used my credit recently to book a trip to Vegas for February 2022. All was well since I received a confirmation for my trip until we checked in at SFO airport with the airline and they couldn't locate our boarding pass and information. Apparently, Priceline provided fake airline ticket information, did not issue our tickets and we were stuck at the airport for over an hour talking to Priceline customer service that didn't get anywhere with them. We ended up missing our flight.

The other horrible part was that Priceline advised us that they needed 72 hours to investigate the matter and it has been over 11 days and many countless calls with them and they still haven't resolved this matter. They keep advising me that a supervisor will get back to me in another 72 hours period. They are horrible and they took my money without rendering services. I have never had this happen before even with using their competitors. I am still waiting for my refund of $348 and will not use them ever again.

Never get a travel credit!! I booked 9 tickets to Hawaii, and due to covid we had to postpone our trip. Priceline gave us a travel credit for future date. I called to reschedule another trip and they’re charging me 2x the amount I paid for. I paid $117 a ticket and they’re charging me $250, when you check on their website it’s only $118. I asked them why was the price different and they said it’s because mine is a travel credit, and couldn’t offer the same price. I have the right not to book it but the credit won’t be accepted outside of Priceline. So I’ll lose my credit if I don’t pay an extra $100 per person x 9 people!! I’ve been on a calls with them for over 2 hours and the manager hung up on me! RUDE!!

I went on website, clicked the hotel I wanted and have been staying in the website, booked me for another hotel and they refused to give me a refund. Horrible customer service and they had no supervisor.

I was booked into the Grand Hotel in Ft Lauderdale, Priceline rated them as 3.5 stars and the pictures on their site painted a different story than what the place is actually like, I should of read the Google reviews first. This is a transient hotel, outdated, dirty and downright scary, Priceline offered no resolution, they would not book me elsewhere and had a take it or leave it attitude. I got the Hotel to cancel my remaining stay and they actually refunded me 5 days. Priceline still lists them as a 3.5 star hotel and obviously Priceline does not research into the places they promote on their site. I will never use Priceline again.

I cancelled my car rental 2 weeks prior to reservation date. Canadian government told Canadians not to travel for non essential travel due to COVID variant OMICRON... I did what I was told to do and Priceline won't refund $1,400 for a service I did not receive.

Horrible customer service. They will hang up in the middle of the conversation. It happened twice. They will never honor "Low Price Guarantee". Price is way more than other websites. Never ever buying again.

Have used them many times over the past several years, but this past week will be my last. Bad enough they booked me into a hotel that was closed for renovations, but then refused to help me find a new hotel. You read that right....A company that is in the business of reservations REFUSED to do what they call a 'relocation'. I talked to 2 different people 3 different times and after over 1.5 hours, all I got 'offered' was a 100% refund. Meanwhile, I was in a different city with no hotel. There was NO compassion for the situation they put me in, no "I am sorry, let's see how we can help". They actually told me at one time I had to 'prove' the hotel was closed, even though their multiple calls to the hotel went unanswered and the hotel's own website said it was closed.

Anyway, I did get a refund...And I ended up booking a room through another site. But as I read other reviews on Google and Yelp, many of the recent ones have the same theme....that Priceline's customer service has went completely south. Too bad. I liked their service, and as a business traveler found it useful often. But now, I will keep looking until I find a travel service that won't shrug their shoulders and leave me stranded in a strange town when THEY made the mistake.

Priceline Refused to cancel my reservation 2 days before Reservation day. I have to Dispute Transaction on my Credit Card. This is a Horrible and unbelievable Policy and it's a Trick to try steal Money from the customer.
