I booked a ticket for my daughter thru Priceline. When I needed to change they said UNITED Airline is in control of the ticket, so I called the airline... They said they can't do anything because it was booked with PRICELESS LINE...why use Priceline if you end up having to call the airline anyway who now has LOST control because you being silly decided to use Priceline that day. SO DO NOT USE them. I don't care how much the fare is. YOU end up with a ticket NO ONE will fix if there's an error. SPEND the 50 cents more and go to the Airline DIRECTLY. I will NEVER use Priceline ever ever again after this experience!!!!! NO NEVER! Do NOT use them. YOU are using a third-party booking. They did nothing but give me the run around so that I ended up pleading with UNITED Airlines to fix the mistake. WHY use a third party if this is the case at all? SO just don't.

On Sunday 10-23-22 I paid and booked a reservation for the OYO Hotel Memphis TN 1-40. Itinerary # ** for a check in for Tuesday 10-25 through Friday checking out on Saturday 10-29. Confirmation # **. Per the reservation, I was able to cancel/modify this booking if done by Monday 10-24-22 10 AM CT. I called to modify/cancel this booking while I was in Charlotte NC at 10:39 AM EST (per my phone records) and I was informed by the agent that I had called too late (she was incorrect in saying this because she was not going by the policy which states I must call by 10 AM based on the time zone of the city that the hotel is in) She stated that I must wait until I get to the hotel the next day to try and cancel.
When I arrived I was informed by the hotel that the cancellation would have to come through Priceline. I called Priceline and had this escalated to a manager in the escalation department (escalation ticket # **) to no avail. They stated that even though they can see that I called within the proper time frame that they were only able to get the hotel to refund 3 out of the 4 nights even though I did not stay one night and I called to cancel on time. I am demanding a full refund and nothing less.

!!!BEWARE PRICELINE IS A SCAM!!! Don't believe anything the agents tell you, all they are interested in is getting your credit card information the rest is scrap. I booked a hotel with Priceline on the phone told them that I was going for a training and will need an early check IN. The agent made a choice of hotel for me stating that is the only early check IN they have around that location. Guess when I got there first the environment looked so filthy with pieces of cigarette and garbage lying around the hotel I was like waooo.
Reaching the reception sorry we don't have early check IN I ask, so why did you take my money sorry there is nothing I can do call PRICELINE. I called PRICELINE gave me a fake case number. OMG I called PRICELINE sorry there is nothing we can do. Really?? you create a site where someone will just give you their credit card info you take their money only to say sorry there is nothing we can do. IS this not a !!SCAM!! Guess? what I went into a hotel straight across the street and I got and early check IN a nice clean environment. PRICELINE never gave me any refund so I will try my best to spread this behavior to everyone as much as possible.

I was staying at a hotel and decided to make trip longer by a day. Instead of booking through hotel, I noticed I could save $20 on room through Priceline. BIG mistake. My card was “denied”. I received several messages from priceline saying card was denied. I went into hotel lobby to check, they confirmed my card was denied. I showed the hotel that priceline did in fact charge my card. They said "Oh it’s says pending and will fall off". I called card company and was told the same. I tried to call priceline from lobby of hotel BUT because my drip was denied by card, they wouldn’t put me through to a live agent. I was also denied an agent by the texting system. I kept all texts and phone records.
It is day 5, and I set aside time every morning to check in with priceline and the hotel. Priceline said yesterday they are waiting for hotel to respond to an email. Of course the hotel said they received no email from priceline, and will respond right away. Hotel apologized for priceline. They know it was Priceline’s fault I could not check into room. First rep I contacted on day one and day two at priceline told me “no refund not refundable”. I had to keep escalating and sending in ALL documentation. I agreed to not refundable room because I was AT hotel, so knew I would not need to refund it. Well so I thought. Priceline, people are watching their money, instead of scamming to keep money from could be future customers, why not help travelers.
ALSO most hotels offer full refunds on trips that need to be canceled. Why pay Priceline’s small discount and take the chance? Especially since it you do have an issue, there is little help. They hope customers with issues will tire of asking for the refund owed to them, and stop or just let priceline keep it. Not a chance priceline, I will drag scam companies into small claims court. Priceline doesn’t want to offer customer service, and if booking can’t be honored due to a fault with priceline for any reason, you will need to be prepared for weeks of long battle. I suppose they prefer to pay people to stall refunds, over just paying what’s due to customer. After this is all said and done priceline is losing money on paying customer service for a week of stalling clients. While I do respect the “no refund” policy, I wouldn’t ask if it was indeed my fault. However, when it is fault of the hotel or priceline then a refund should be made immediately.

Making online reservations for a hotel my minor child school is staying at for a competition! I found a deal on PRICELINE with the hotel I desperately needed, dates, king bed, 2 adults at a price I found affordable! After careful review of the itinerary, I hit confirm knowing it was nonrefundable! Open my email to notice it’s NOT THE HOTEL I SELECTED! I call Priceline! They tell me to give me the best price, they pick the hotel and it’s not refundable (which I knew) nontransferable and they could not do anything to help me! I said that’s a bait and switch, I argued it was not a hotel I selected or agreed upon!
Priceline fraudulently charged my credit card for a reservation at a hotel I did not agree/nor select! I expressed I needed the hotel I selected due to my minor child! I spoke w/ 2 managers who did not do anything to remedy the problem but rather they read from a script like heartless robots. I didn’t want my money back. I wanted the itinerary I selected! I called the hotel PRICELINE made my reservation to and they said only PRICELINE can fix it as the 2 hotels are part of Choice and it shouldn’t be a issue. But PRICELINE said it cannot be changed. Priceline reservation site did a bait and switch then fraudulently charged my account for a hotel I DID NOT SELECT.

I recently booked a hotel with Priceline and had to make a change. Their recorded introduction suggests that you can book, change or cancel a reservation. However, when I attempted to add a day to my reservation, I was told I would have to cancel the reservation and book a new one. So I had to listen to a whole spiel from the "customer service" individual (who by the way I could barely understand) only to be told I was being transferred to the sales department to start over. I had to contact two other booking services to change 2 other reservations and they updated my reservations in minutes without all this hassle. By the way, I was charged over $100 more for the extra night. I will NEVER use them again.

We made a car rental reservation on Priceline a month before our trip. We arrive at Charlotte Airport to find that the car hire company had rented all cars out and did not know when any would be coming back in. We were very unhappy and had to take an Uber to where we were going and back. When I got home I called them and apart from keeping me on hold for ages while they verified I had never got the car rental they then said, "Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll give you the car hire money of $149 back on your card." I challenged him and said, "No. That was not good enough as we ran up Uber bills of $220." - The CS could not help so I asked to speak to a manager.
The Manager said they could only refund the carhire money once they confirmed with Ace Rentals that they had not had a car available.... Trust this process about as far as I could throw them!! Simply disgraceful and I blame both Priceline and Ace as really if Priceline were reputable they would not be dealing with a company like Ace who have some horrible reviews out of Charlotte Airport location. If I could I would have given 0 stars for this review.

The price of the flight was more on Priceline than Delta or AA. The Priceline representative lied about the charges and then finally acknowledged that I was charged for the flight, but there was no credit or refund for a cancellation. When I was on the phone with the Priceline rep, the airlines were still charging 20% less. In addition to charging more for the flight than if I had contacted the airline directly, Priceline’s algorithm changes the destination city to the next city over if seats (or hotel rooms) are low to the desired city. This has happened to me more than once. They will not refund your money. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THEM.

I Yasmene ** writing this letter in reference to Priceline airline. On October 16 a day before my birthday I booked a flight with Priceline which I rescheduled twice. On 10/16 I show up to the airport an hour early and was told that my baggage could not be checked in due to a two hour check-in. I was informed by American Airlines that I was to be informed by Priceline of the check in time. At no point in time Priceline inform me of the two hour check in time. So when I show up with my bags to the kiosk it wouldn’t allow me to check in at six. So I requested some assistance from the agent there near the kiosk and she informed me to go to customer service desk.
When I get to the Deas I was informed that I can get on my flight but my badge could not be checked in and I ask why agent stated that I was supposed to be there two hours early. My ride has left The airport. I had no way to get back home so I requested that the agent check for another flight. I booked the flight for LAX and paid $150 plus $30 for my bags. This was it inconvenience to the person I was visiting and myself because she live five hours away. I had to drive five hours to come get me from the airport. Then Agent didn’t Put me in the seat that I pay for.
I had tried to settle this matter with Priceline due to the fact that I was never notified that I needed to be checked in by two hours. I have asked for some conversation for this issues and I was told that Priceline no longer is handling my flight and they could not assist me with this matter. I have tried to contact them on many occasions to settle this matter but still receiving the same answer for the results there is nothing they can do. Priceline is responsible for informing a customer of any policies and procedures of the book flights and supposed to Inform the customer which they wouldn’t negligent to do. I have spoken to a supervisor and customer service and neither one could assist.

They kept telling me they will try to refund the tickets after multiple calls always stretching out the days but something is wrong with their system so they were holding my money hostage making it so I couldn't get new tickets elsewhere. Eventually they said they would refund the tickets in late Sept thru an email, but still waiting on the seats refund. After 1 month instead of returning my money they tried to charge it again. I have NEVER used Priceline before, and REALLY won't now! My mom used them to reserve us hotel/Inn rooms at Bumratty Castle in Ireland over 6 months ago. We have confirmation through Priceline of these arrangements. We are 2 weeks out from our flight overseas. My mom had a feeling she needed to further validate our reservations, although priceline claimed they had already validated and my mom has the confirmation numbers etc...to support their claim. She called anyway, just to find out, today, that we in fact DO NOT have confirmed reservations and will not be able to get confirmed reservations. The hotel/Inn manager reported they have issues with this specific company regularly regarding this same issue.
Priceline has not notified my mother of this issue, and based on what the hotel/Inn manager stated, Priceline often times does not notify their customers of these issues like they are supposed to. Now, we are scrambling to make our own lodging arrangements on short notice. Thank God my mom called! Had to include a rating to get this posted, but the company deserves NO RATING- that's how bad it was! The Priceline site states IN WRITING "Book a flight with free cancellation within 24 hours after booking". Calvin, the representative that I made the phone reservation with on Oct 3, 2022, also assured of the cancellation policy, which I did- approximately 3 hours after I originally booked the flight. When I didn't receive a cancellation confirmation, I tried contacting Calvin. I also called the Priceline main # and talked to Odell, who told me I couldn't receive a refund. After arguing with him, I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. After being placed on hold for a while, Odell said I would receive a refund.
BUT- on Oct 4, I heard from Arron, a supervisor, who told me I was not entitled to a refund. After insisting that he was incorrect regarding the Priceline written policy for refunds, he wanted me to send him a screen shot of the policy as proof of my claim. That's when I lost my patience, stated I'd call my state's Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. By Oct 6, Calvin responded to my e-mail sent previously, unwilling to do more than say that my complaint was under investigation. Arron called to say that he was working on our complaint- but would we consider continuing with our original booking? By this time, I'd file a complaint with my credit card company.
It took from 10/3 to 10/13/22 before I received notification that my payment would be fully refunded. Arron worked to resolve the issue, for which I am appreciative of his efforts. But why did I have to go through this in the first place, and spend time and energy insisting that Priceline and its employees honor its written policy? How many people don't insist on their cancellation rights and succumb to the bullying of Priceline's employees?

They would not refund any money but I didn’t want a refund anyways, I just wanted the correct dates or another hotel if it couldn’t honor my dates needed. Priceline kept me on hold for 90 min and kept saying they were trying to help me. They didn’t help me and when I got frustrated with them after several agents they just cancelled my booking (after I said not to because I wouldn’t be refunded). They said they called the hotel 3 times but when I got off the phone with Priceline and called the hotel for help, the hotel said they had no other calls but me for the past hour.
My son booked a flight through them with travel insurance as he is a marine and needed the flexibility of date changes. He tried to cancel his flight 3 weeks early as dates did change for him, which should have been ok since it was well over 24 hours before flight time. They kept him on hold for an hour and still would not help him. The airline said he needed to talk to Priceline. Priceline will not help and he will end up losing his money too.

I am a “gold VIP”. I really don’t see the need a word anywhere financially beneficial to use PriceLine. I have noticed in the last six months. The customer service has gone very much downhill. They’re actually rude and nasty last year. This time they were much better. But they’re not cheaper than booking it to the hotels. Can actually pay when you arrive and get your points for staying there. I don’t understand what gold status means and the little surprise coupons don’t ever amount to much. Literally, there are millions of places we can get cheaper rooms and even directly booking with the hotel themselves. I see no point in using Priceline.

I booked a tonight‘s day at Best Western in Henderson Nevada. When I made the reservation I specifically asked if I could get early check in because I had to shower and change before going to work and if I checked in past three I would be late for work. The agent promised me up and down, "Yes no problem. We can do that." When I got to the hotel at approximately 1:30 PM the desk agent said, "No we have no available rooms for early check-in and you can’t check in till 3 o’clock." And then she also said that I could cancel the reservation with Priceline and be fully refunded no big deal. So I left and I got a room somewhere else where I could check in right away and go to work. It’s now almost 2 months later and I have not gotten any refund and Priceline and the hotel blame it on each other saying the other one refuses to do it. Very BAD business!!

Go to this desk. Go to that desk. I don't use actual credit cards and I indicated that on Priceline website and paid extra because I didn't have a return date in mind yet. All was supposedly good to go according to Priceline. I was stranded from 11 pm to 1 am trying to get an Uber to find me. I almost had to go to the hospital for dehydration and fatigue and mental issues because I was wandering the damn garage trying to figure out what to do. TL;DR: Priceline never actually booked my room and did nothing to help me find accommodation elsewhere, which I ultimately found 45 miles away. I booked a hotel room through Priceline. When I arrived, at 12:15 AM, the hotel could not find my booking. There was no record of me, and all rooms were booked. I contacted Priceline. After a couple of disconnects, they informed me that their policy was to email the hotel and wait 30 minutes for a response before finding another plan of action. This was a waste of time, as I had just spent 45 minutes working with the night manager to find a solution. In fact, he never received their email. Priceline emailed me 40 minutes later to say they were cancelling my reservation and would pay the price difference if I found a more expensive room elsewhere. The trouble is, the nearest available room was 40 miles away.
My pregnant wife and I got to bed at 3 AM. We had to drive 150 additional miles, in two round trips, to attend the wedding and brunch that we had traveled for. After repeated contact, I was offered $25 to defray gas costs, but with no consideration for the magnitude of their mistake, their lack of support in resolving it, or the value of my wife's and my time (90 minutes trouble shooting in the middle of the night plus 3 additional hours driving).

I don't recommend you to work with Priceline because you will be disappointed even if the price is lower than other travel companies. In our experience, Priceline is one of the worst travel companies, they don't even know the rental car office hours. Most rental cars should be open 24/7 at the airport, but some rental cars are not open late evening. My wife and I reserved a car, and we arrived around midnight, the rental car was closed, and we have to pay over $800 for only 2 nights with another rental car because we didn't have a reservation with them. It literally took us 3-4 hours to find another rental car that can give us a car without reservation after midnight at SFO.

Spoke with 4 different Senior Team Members as well as "Supervisors" and every single person told me "unfortunately we cannot help you unless you want to schedule another reservation".
I will be taking this to court as now I have to pay a fair amount more due to rooms being booked up by the second and have to borrow money when if they would have only charged once I would still have funds on my credit card. I will never use this company as I am in customer service myself and know that there are things companies can do to make it right with the customer especially when their sales rep fraudulently charged my card for a hotel in Florida and it was obviously their company's fault.

Now, the problem, the Priceline website clearly states that there is no cancellation fee. I still said so yesterday, Oct 6th. I have called and asked Priceline to review the charge when their advertising clearly states NO CANCELLATION FEE. The person who initially answered stated that they would have to look into the policy, I then asked for a supervisor who stated that this would be passed to accounting and they would e-mail me within days.
I also tried to communicate with PayPal to open a dispute and could not get past the booking reference required. My mistake in not keeping the paperwork. I also asked on the Priceline site for my record and the replay we "we have sent you an e-mail", I also asked them to text me. I received nothing. Wish I could give a negative star. Back in July I purchased a bundle deal which includes flight, hotel, and car rental for 2 days to Florida from New York to attend a family event. I left for the airport 5 hours before my schedule flight to avoid traffic and get through TSA. On my way to the airport I was rear ended and was taken to the hospital because I’m pregnant. I notify Priceline of what happen and if I could cancel or get a credit for a next time, I was told by a representative I would receive a call from a different department in about 10 minutes. I waited on the call while I was still at the hospital, someone finally called me back about 9 hours later 11:30pm at night. I explained the situation and what happened and basically I missed the flight. I was told by the representative he would cancel the trip however, Priceline was not able to directly refund me but I should make a claim with my bank and I would have my money back.
The next day I called the bank, explained the situation and was credited back my $850, this was July 16. On September 1st I noticed I was charged again for the trip, I called the bank to ask what was going on, the bank said Priceline STATED I NEVER CANCELED THE TRIP THEREFORE I'M BEING CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT. I called Priceline to ask why would they tell me the trip was canceled but now is stating I didn’t cancel the trip. All I got was the runaround, being transferred from one department to another and being on hold until they hang up the phone. Now I’m stuck paying $850 for a trip that was supposed to be canceled.

I have to say that I am very pissed at Priceline right now. I made a purchase for a hotel stay for October 12, 2022 and I made the purchase on September 20, 2022. Why in your cancellation policy dates, it says in order for me to get a FULL REFUND, I would have had to cancel before 2022-07-30 @ 11:59 pm? It also reads the following: "This booking is fully refundable if you cancel before 2022-07-30 11:59 pm. This booking is non refundable after 2022 08-20 12:00 am. This booking is non-refundable after 2022-10-12 12:00. If cancelled after 2022-07-31 12:00 am, 20 percent penalty will be charged."
Now if I purchased my hotel stay on September 20, 2022 which it also says on my receipt, how in the world can you make cancellation dates prior to the actual purchase. This is stealing and now I cannot get a person on the line and have to speak to. I am automatically placed on a call back because of the high volume. I am speaking with someone on chat and they cannot find my reservation nor the confirmation number provided. I am so angry and going to report your company to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs. You cannot be stealing people's money and not giving adequate time to cancel a reservation. Our taxi dropped us outside the hotel we booked through Priceline, but the hotel was basically abandoned. There were blacked out windows and No Trespassing signs everywhere. Turns out this hotel has been permanently closed for TWO MONTHS. It's a reflection on the poor quality of Priceline that we were even allowed to book it. So now we are stranded on the side of a highway in Newark NJ at 11 pm and I'm also 5 months pregnant.
We see another hotel a little ways away so we walk with our luggage on the side of the highway to see if they have any vacancies, while I'm calling Priceline customer service. Our reservation needs to be obviously cancelled and refunded, but we also need to be reimbursed for the hotel room we were able to find last minute, as this whole situation is the fault of Priceline. Of course it's a call center that's outsourced overseas, and they are unable to do anything but cancel and refund with some of the worst attitude imaginable.
The first rep we talked to told me his name was Lucas, and he shushed me and talked over me multiple times while I expressed the situation and what remedies needed to take place. He started raising his voice saying that they could only cancel and refund the original booking at this time, they couldn't relocate us because we found another hotel on our own.
After he told me that relocating would take up to 24 hours! I told him that Priceline put us in an emergency situation, we literally were walking on the highway with our luggage at 11 pm, pregnant and tired after an international flight, and had to make quick decisions. He had no sympathy for the situation and ultimately we escalated to his manager. She was sympathetic but ultimately had no power to help her customers either, saying we had already chosen the option of a refund for the original booking and they couldn't refund another hotel. Even though we were forced to book another hotel because Priceline let us book a hotel that's been permanently closed for months. Awful company, awful experience, awful customer service.

After I gave a credit card to pay the difference of a flight credit I was using d/t COVID, in the process of holding, I was told that while making the itinerary, the price had just increased another $100. I told them I was currently on the AA site, and this price hike was not indicated, they stated they used “different platforms” from the actual airline and price is subject to change at any time. I got disconnected during this call. When I called back, I got another agent who stated that my credit card had been already charged the difference of $384. When I told her I did not agree to the second price increase and did not even want to use the flight credit, much less take the trip, they refused to refund the money. They billed this to my credit card as “American Airlines” when in fact, it was Priceline who billed the additional funds. Of course, their “platform” is the same when billing the credit card. They are dishonest and conniving! You are better off just booking through the airline.

Took a vacation to Texas. Booked an extended stay from September 12th to 15th for $214. I do not have a car so it was important to be near the airport so that I could Uber in my budget when going home. For me $214 is a lot for 3 days but it saved me from have to stress about ubering hotel to hotel costing me maybe more. Being in a place where you only have yourself to depend on if something goes wrong is scary. PRICELINE made sure I understood how that felt because them overbooking my hotel became way more than a "oops! Sorry for the small inconvenience. Here's $33 extra dollars you'll be refunded with the $214 we charged you...IN 4 DAYS!!!".
The customer service guy who I could barely understand told I would be refunded the following day. I was in tears. How could I afford a room without my money for the 3 days I already paid for? I asked Priceline if they can find me another hotel close and get me my room there using the $214 I already paid them. I was told no and sorry for the inconvenience but lucky me I'll have $33 extra dollars towards a room when I receive my refund in 1 day. So I had to find another hotel close and hope it wasn't expensive. Priceline wouldn't even help me find one. I was told to go on their website AGAIN and book a room!!!! WTF!!!!
So at this point I'm irritated but I thought just a few more bucks and then tomorrow I'll be okay when I get refunded. I found a hotel and paid for 1 night at $82. The uber cost about $30 so that was already over $100 extra this inconvenience cost me so far... The next day I haven't received my refund and I had to check out from the night before. I called customer service and gave them every confirmation number I had yet for some reason they couldn't find any trip I had booked or refund I was suppose to get. I called Priceline 3x in tears thinking I would have to sleep in the streets for a night. I got nowhere and someone helping me and kept being told "I'm sorry maam, is there another confirmation number we can use? I'm sorry ma'am there's no one else for us to transfer you to."
Again I asked if they can pay for the room I was at until my refund went through. I was told no and directed to the Priceline website. I ended up having to call my dad because I was short the money to get another night. Of course for some reason the hotel ended up being more than the night before. $6 difference but that was huge in my situation. So now at this point I have $0 and will need 1 more night the following day and still no refund. I call Priceline again because now my vacation has turned into me sleeping all day after crying and I'm hungry and stressed beyond belief. Still can't find my information and just keep asking me for the same number but this time I'm being told to email them with my info and eventually they'll get back to me.
The first call that second day they hung up on me and another call they just sent me back to the menu options after putting me on hold. The 3rd day I already knew my luck was crap so I called my dad again and this time he paid for the room in full plus money for the uber I'll need the following day to the airport. Guess what happened the last night of my 3 day stay! I received only the $33 for the inconvenience from 2 days prior. I wasn't refunded until I got home and that was because I contacted my bank after day 2 of nothing. All I was able to do for my 3 day vacation was cry, stress, be hungry and sleep until I was able to go home. My dad wasn't happy with for borrowing money and It cost me over $600 for my trip but because of Priceline's little "inconvenience".
The plane tickets, the ubers and the hotel rooms I paid for were pointless and wasted. I still can't find a number to call that doesn't send me to their overseas customer service center. Which is a joke when you need help. They literally just repeat saying they're sorry, asking the same question as if the last time they asked I just said it wrong. You ask for a supervisor or how to talk to someone else and they will tell you "I'm sorry" and go silent as if that should be the end to my issues or put you on hold redirecting to someone else you will have to explain it to all over again. I'm super pissed off at Priceline and I feel helpless and ripped off.

I booked my wife and I a trip which included round trip flights and a car. We had no issues with the first flight to our destination. It was the flight home that Priceline nearly screwed us. The night before our flight home, I went to check in to Alaska Airlines via the link Priceline provided and as I tried, I was given the error that I need to check in to American Airlines, Alaska's sister company. I tried doing that multiple times and was consistently given the error that our reservation didn't exist. I called Priceline that evening and spoke to someone who barely spoke English, so the language barrier made it very difficult to convey the issue.
She finally understood our issue and confirmed that, in fact, there was an issue. She said she didn't have the capability to help and would transfer us to someone who could. We were then sent to a second person who barely spoke English and who was super rude and short with me. I first asked her to hold on the line as I tried to check in and she told me she would as long as I was quick, as she was in a rush. Great customer Service. She also confirmed that we were unable to check in and told us to 'not worry, just go 3-4 hours early in the morning and check in at the airport.' She also couldn't even give us a flight number so I had no way to even check if our flight existed or was on time. Our flight was at 7:45am and I told her that this was completely unacceptable and that I was not getting up at 3am in the hopes that I would have a flight.
She finally asked if I wanted to be transferred to Alaska Air and I said yes. Within two minutes, I was speaking to someone that spoke English enough to understand our situation, informed me that they don't have any way to look up our flight with Priceline's info but was able to find it by looking up my name. This whole thing took over an hour just to confirm we were actually on a flight. I've used nearly every travel site and will never use Priceline again. Be aware. Absolutely horrible customer service and you may not even be able to check in to your flight.

At 8:54pm, I received another message asking to please be patient while connecting to an agent, and a final message stating, "Our wait times are running longer than normal, so this may take a few minutes. In the meantime, if you are looking to cancel your Trip, make changes, or place a special request you can find these options under My Trips section. We will be with you ask quickly as possible."
At 8:58pm, I received a message saying, "Hello! My name is Mary. I am reviewing the information you have sent. I may be needing additional information in order for us to proceed. One moment, please." That was the last message I received on 9/15/2022 and was never assisted any further. I opened the chat again in the morning, 9/16/2022, and noticed nothing had been sent and my booking had not been cancelled. So I began the chat all over, was transferred to a hotel agent name Tanisha, I explained our plans were cancelled due to a babysitter cancelling, etc. She said, "I understand you wish to cancel. I see there was a free cancellation until Sept 15 at 11:59PM and the room can no longer be cancelled." I explained I was waiting and speaking with a hotel agent the night prior and she said she didn't see an interaction with me the previous day.
I sent her the screenshots of the conversation (see attached) and she stated "there is no record of interaction with an actual agent and not just with a bot. It is passed the time to cancel. The room is truly non-refundable. Thank you for your time." With that, she ended the conversation... this is unacceptable! I called the customer service number shortly after and was given the same information. I am outraged that I attempted to cancel within the free cancelation window, was not assisted, tried to follow up and explain my experience and was not even given the option of credit! I used to use Priceline all the time before COVID-19.. The Southern California area was very competitive and prices, taxes, and fees were reasonable providing you looked carefully.. After the pandemic, the entire site has become a joke.. not to mention that because I did not book a room for an extended period of time, I suddenly lost my Platinum benefits as a member despite having spent probably more than $20,000 over the course of a couple of years on Priceline..
Additionally, the 'taxes and fees' added to a hotel room now are absolutely ridiculous.. Only a sap would use Priceline... To put it mildly, a $49 hotel room will cost you almost 80 bucks after taxes and fees for one night.. $160 for two.. higher priced rooms' extra fees are worse.. Rental cars are also overpriced.. The only part of Priceline that I might consider using would be to book an airline ticket occasionally... But that comes out to about 10% of what I used to use it for... Sadly, you have to look elsewhere and you have to work harder than Priceline.

On the weekend of my anniversary, the air conditioning went out in our room. It was literally 100 degrees with humidity in Savannah, GA. Of course we complained, and the manager offered us a 50% refund on one night. Cool. A few weeks later, I receive a call from the manager stating that the refund has to be initiated through Priceline. No problem. I used Priceline's text service, and all was going well...Until I had to go back to work. I was unable to respond to the message that the refund had been approved and that I needed to give my approval to cancel the reservation. I didn't respond in time and it was cancelled. So, I called...Why the hell did I do that?
The agent could barely speak English, and could barely understand what I was saying. When I explained that I had already spoken with someone and for her to check the notes, there were no notes. She instead went through the same process all over again - calling the manager, which I'm sure she was thinking I've already spoken with someone. Then I was told someone would call me back in 20 minutes, for which I still don't understand why. And as you guessed, no refund. Priceline - I'm sure you make enough money to hire better employees than this and I'm sure you can afford a system that notes the accounts so people don't have to be put through the ringer to get what they rightfully deserve. This tarnishes your reputation with me, and if I have to go through this to get a refund, I will think better of going through your site in the future.

There were no towels or wash rags to be found and the chamber maid said they were all in the wash (this was at 5pm). The bathroom door had been kicked in and wouldn’t latch shut let alone lock and the wooden door trim was coming off the inside.
We immediately went to the front desk and asked for a refund and she said I had to get it from Priceline. After about 20min of Priceline’s automated customer service telling me none of my information could be found and unable to get to a human we tried to find another hotel to stay and everywhere we called was booked for the holiday weekend so we had to drive 40min to a hotel suggested by a family member. The next week I was able to find a number online that got me a human at Priceline and told them everything, they said all they could do is give me 15% off my next booking.
After several minutes of convincing the person to get me a supervisor he said he would have to get in touch with the hotel manager and it would be up to him to decide on giving Priceline their refund then they would refund me only if the hotel refunded them first otherwise I was out of luck. I called the Priceline customer service, they said it's not included in my itinerary and contract.
Is the "before reservation details" and "after reservation itinerary" supposed to be different? I called customer service, talked to the person called "supervisor", probably doesn't even have enough training to professionalism while dealing with dissatisfied customers, said that whatever I said is wrong, and whatever he is said is correct and I won't get free breakfast whatever was included in the description before booking, he mentioned "you may never book from priceline anymore, but can't do anything about it!". Is this the way would someone be treated from customer service when they want to claim what they deserve to get? Wasting my time to write is worthless, this is the summary of my 1 hour of argument with Priceline. I booked a hotel in Carmel, Indiana through Priceline for a stay commencing on 8/25/22. On the day of my check in I developed symptoms and tested positive for COVID. I immediately notified Priceline Customer Service and the hotel that I am unable and unsafe to travel. Priceline refused to honor my request for a refund dodging the responsibility to the hotel. When I contacted the hotel they did the same sending me back to Priceline. I have used Priceline for a while and earned what they call "GOLD VIP" status. Needless to say their customer service is completely inept, lacks common courtesy and compassion. I urge everyone not to use Priceline ever as I intend to do.

I found a lower rate on a different website and wanted to get a price match within the 24 hours. I called Priceline the same day booked and was on hold 40 minutes with no outcome. I then moved to text service to communicate with four different customer service agents. All of them said they would help me and never came back after a while. The following day, I escalated the case and asked for a supervisor. The deal was still lower on another site, I took a screenshots. All of the agents give the same robotic cookie-cutter response. I can’t find it on the other website despite Agoda.com being a partner of the company. After spending at least four hours to try to get them to honor their own guarantee, I was able to reach a supervisor just after the 24 hours that passed. I knew this was coming, the supervisor said the 24 hours have been over and therefore the guarantee not eligible.
Yes he said he did find the deal as the 24 hours were passed, but no longer could honor. So basically they had me on hold, ignored my texts and did everything they could to avoid actually helping me within the first 24 so they could very easily say my screenshots were no longer valid. All of them said the same thing so it makes me realize that that’s how they are trained to operate. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and this is definitely not a reputable company. Even when I asked for their email, it’s not a simple email, it’s letters and one agent gave me the wrong email address five times. Customer service is dead at Priceline and they are not honoring what they’ve committed to.

I was given a credit for my departure but not return flight. I was trying to fly back from El Salvador to Houston on September 20 for the price of $256.70. The total amount credited was 183.60. The obvious difference is 73.10. They charged me 101.35. I plead with Mickey, the supervisor, after I spoke with an agent to allow me to speak to a supervisor to comp that amount as I had already lost over $200 on the return flight that I was unable to get refunded from that flight. He said that I had reached the highest point of supervisor level and that there was nothing he could do. This is ridiculous. I don't want any for free but to be fair as it should be. My fiance and I were driving back to California from Tennessee, and when I got tired I wanted to book a hotel in Arizona. I searched hotels and click on one in Scottsdale Arizona, so I booked it but when I arrived it was booked for Moreno Valley California. I tried to call the hotel and they didn't answer multiple calls, so I called Priceline and told them that there was a mistake in the booking and that the hotel wasn't answering. So they tried to call and had no luck either. So they told me they would get back to me with an answer.
My fiance and I decided to just pay the hotel in Arizona directly due to the booking error, I told Priceline I never searched in Moreno Valley and I couldn't understand how that happened. But unfortunately they told me they couldn't issue the refund for the mistake. I couldn't understand how that would happen when I never searched in that area to begin with and that my recent searches never showed it either, but at the end I was out 137 dollars. Priceline does not have your back as a customer and is only into making a profit for the hotels to rip us off.
I used Priceline when we went to Cabo San Lucas and I had an issue there as well with the car rental that wanted me to pay an additional $5000 for a deposit for the rental even though I had already paid for it before we arrived. I will never use Priceline again, they have lost us as a customer, including all my family and friends.

Booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise line through Priceline for an Alaska Cruise. I specifically asked about the need for Passports, and she assured me we wouldn't need them because the cruise left from and returned to Seattle. We booked it and got the itinerary and that is when the problems started.... it ended in Vancouver Canada.
I called her back and she said it was an honest mistake and said she'd work to fix it. Wanted to book us flights from Canada to home but the cost would add $1000 to our expense (we could get round trip tickets for $200 each from home to Seattle and we'd have to stay the night in Vancouver). Then she said she'd find us a cruise that started and ended in Seattle like we'd requested in the first place. After all was said and done, the different was $800 (more), and because she took so long, and the original booking was so close to the deadline for full refund, we were stuck.
That extra was, according to the agent, even after Priceline supposedly waived their change fee. We then realized we weren't booked with a transfer from the airport to the cruise port and back. No help there since we didn't book directly with the cruise line for our airline tickets. We have always booked directly with the cruise lines in the past (this is our first Royal Caribbean Cruise and I'll review that after the cruise) and we've always had great experiences working with them, even when problems arose. I will not book with Priceline again. It seemed to me that the way things transpired it was almost like they did what they did in order to get more money out of us. In addition, adding a Third Party to anything like this makes it far more difficult to resolve issues than going direct with the Cruise Line so that's what I'll be doing from here on out.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told the hotel no longer offered extended parking for guests except for a $25 charge per day.
Needless to say, we chose not to stay at the hotel and asked if we could have a refund due to the fact that the reservation was not what we were told it would be. From that point on we became part of a ping pong match between the hotel and Priceline to determine if we would get a refund. My husband and I were supposed to be traveling to Louisiana for a family member's funeral. We got to Sixt rental and was told we should’ve never pre-booked/paid because they require you to use a credit card. However on Priceline it does not have that in fine print stating that is a requirement it gives you the option to pay in debit/credit, Apple Pay, PayPal, etc.
The company didn’t allow us to get the car because of this. The lady who helped us said she would cancel our reservation and we should receive a refund within 10-15 days. I never received any confirmation stating the reservation was canceled so I called the company’s number to be told my reservation was not canceled and I had to contact Priceline for that and for a refund. I contacted Priceline and they told me no refund would be given even though I didn’t get to leave off the lot with the vehicle I pre booked because Sixt didn’t allow us to. So I’m out of $200+ when I never got the service/ product nor did I make it to my grandmother's funeral.
This company is the absolute worst and I will never recommend them to anyone. This company deserves to be put out of business… a total scam. They make money by scamming people to pay them to book reservations but Priceline fails to have what the car company requires to get the vehicle listed on their booking site then have the nerve to say no refunds knowing it’s not right that people pay their hard earned working money for them to just take it.

False Advertisement!!! On Friday, Aug 5, 2022, my husband and I arrived at the RIO All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It took us a while to go through self-checkout. After receiving our keys for RM 7016, in the Masquerade towers. When we entered the room, I instantly was shocked by what we were seeing… the room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The room furniture was outdated, the carpet was dirty, and there were several stains on the sofa. A slap in my face, and mind-blowing to see I had been taken advantage of, especially with me flying in for business and to be RIPPED OFF!
I had to rush back out to catch my ride for the Lionel Richie concert. After returning from the concert, we experienced 10 mins of an emergency recording with loud horns stating it was part of the emergency signal. The next morning, Saturday, Aug 6, we checked out around 6 am. I shared with the clerk how disappointed and mislead I felt about the room looking nothing like the rooms on the RIO website. The clerk agreed and said "Yeah, the pictures on our website do not look like our rooms." The hotel recently opened back up after dealing with COVID and expects to remodel later. The clerk said she could only refund our resort fee but said I should give a review to improve customers’ experience.

They advertised the hotel as a 3.5 star hotel, so I booked it. The hotel turned out to be SureStay Hotel by Best Western SeaTac North. When getting dropped off by the airport shuttle I'm thinking this does not look like a 3.5 star hotel but going on the assumption that a company like Priceline would not use deceptive practices, I checked in thinking maybe the rooms are nicer than what the Hotel looked like from the outside.
The room smelled and the entire hotel was clearly not a 3.5 star hotel. Personally, I was a little disgusted and really didn't want to sleep in the room. I looked online and found out the hotel WAS RATED AS A 2 STAR HOTEL. I immediately contacted customer service at Priceline and informed them I purchased a stay from them that was misrepresented as a 3.5 star hotel and was actually a 2 star hotel. I asked to be booked in a neighboring hotel that was rated at 3 stars or above. I was polite, I didn't overreact, I told the representative that Priceline misrepresented what they sold me. All I was asking for was for them to rebook me at a different hotel equivalent to what they advertised I was buying.
The representative kept telling me over, and over, and over, and over that it was nonrefundable, and there was nothing Priceline could do. I repeatedly communicated that Priceline sold me a 3.5 star hotel and gave me a 2 star hotel, that was gross and smelled. All I was asking for was for them to give me what I purchased. Our conversation went on for 13 minutes, and she refused to help me. Her primary suggestion was to go talk to the front desk. I told her that is not going to solve the problem, because the front desk can't change a 2 star hotel into a 3.5 star hotel overnight. Priceline needs to be careful before some law firm files a class action lawsuit against them for deceptive selling practices.

My daughter and I had 2 family members die within hours of each other last week. We booked at the last minute 2 seats from Myrtle Beach SC to Asheville NC. To drive it is 5 hours. We weren't in any shape to drive. I just want to warn people in our situation to book directly the airline instead of booking sites. We used Priceline and for 2 economy seats round trip we were charged 2,361.31. Plus 60.00 for 1 checked bag. Had we not been so upset we would have asked for bereavement rates. I am kicking myself for this error! This is money that could have been used to help with death related expenses. Just be mindful that you are going to be overcharged using Priceline. 150.00 times 2 to make sure we were seated together. Never again.

We rented a car through Priceline for 8/6/22 - 8/9/22. We paid in full on Priceline and picked the car up at Hertz Buffalo/Niagara airport on 8/6. On 8/8 it started raining so we were going to drive to a few destinations. When we got in the car we found the windshield wiper on the driver's side was broken. We contacted Hertz and was told to DRIVE to a parts store and buy the part and fix it ourselves. There was no way to drive anywhere because it was raining. The wiper was broken, so we weren't able to use the car that day.
When we returned the car to Hertz on 8/9 we were told they couldn't refund for that day because we paid through Priceline and that we should contact them for a refund or credit for the day the car was unusable. I called Priceline and they said "Sorry we don't do refunds or credits on paid in full car rentals". I have spoken to 3 customer service people at Priceline and they refuse to do anything. Lesson learned; DO NOT RENT CARS THROUGH PRICELINE!

I tried getting Priceline to change the hotel or refund our payment but they said they couldn’t do anything without talking to the hotel and that they will get back to me the following Monday to refund the money but after speaking to them they refused to take accountability and refund any payment. After purchasing a ticket for a flight we received our email stating that it was processing, nearly 24 hours later it was still processing. When we called to inquire about it we were told "just wait quietly. It can take up to 72 hours", when explaining that there was a time zone different that they were not accounting for as the flight would leave before that deadline, they hung up on us. We then received an email from the agent Ben who which included the option to provide him with a monetary Tip (Priceline are you not paying your employees? Why are they begging for tips?).
After that we called again. Got someone else. Was refused the option to speak with a manager because "the manager doesn't want to talk to you" and got hung up on again. This time we called the customer support line and spoke to a man named Alvaro and found that the billing information mixed up with the passenger information so the bank denied the charge, after correcting the information at this point more than 35 hours after the initial purchase alvaro so kindly ended the phone call by being aggressive and hostile stating that "you need to just let us work" and "it's a very complicated process" so anyway the plane is full and the order is canceled. Not a dime spent on this company and after this horrendous experience I will never attempt to use this service again.

I went online to book a hotel room as an express deal that said it was 111.00 dollars per night. As I was completing the transaction it told me that rate was no longer available. So, I selected the next lowest rate which was 152.00 for a room with a king size bed. After completing my reservation, I searched again and the earlier lower rate was still there. I called customer service immediately and after waiting on hold over an hour was told there is nothing they can do and I have the lowest rate. Apparently the lowest rate was for any available room they have.
I said that’s fine, change my reservation to that as I would rather pay that rate. Nope. They refuse and will do nothing to accommodate whatsoever. After speaking to several reps I was told a manager would contact me. They never did. Another rep told me the manager will “tell me the same thing”. Apparently I am a VIP member. Well they didn’t treat me like VIP, they treated me like they couldn’t care less to have my business. After everything was said and done, they pretty much just said “the reservation will stay as it is”. This is a very bad company. Never again. I booked several hotels on via Priceline website. One of my bookings was absolutely horrendous (uninhabitable)- it shouldn’t even be offered as an option on their website. They need to have someone in “quality control” to make sure the hotels they offer are at least somewhat decent. Too many unacceptable issue with the hotel to list but the pics in the Priceline website didn’t match what I saw when I pulled up to the hotel. Lots of false Advertising- between Priceline, hotel or both.
Biggest issue is that I didn’t receive my coupon for being upgraded to the “gold vip status.” I had to call 3 times (was hung up on one of the times) and wasted over 2 hours with no resolution to my issue. The last “manager” I spoke to basically told me that there’s nothing she can do and that the higher ups aren’t going to care. Worst customer service EVER! I don’t know how they stay in business.

However the cancellation request was refused due to an error and was informed to contact customer service. When I did I was told that the flight had been cancelled so I proceeded to book for the correct date (Aug 14). But then I receive a vague email stating my credit card denied the charge, but when I went to my credit card it showed the charge accepted and pending.
