We booked a hotel room through Priceline and paid in advance. We flew into Charleston and got to the hotel with our luggage at 11 pm. They were fully booked. They said Priceline booked our room after the hotel alerted them that there were no more rooms available. We called Priceline in a panic. Back and forth for a hour. It's now 12 midnight. They said they could not help us except for giving us a refund. We said we had nowhere to sleep in a foreign place and could they please help us. They said they could do nothing except for give us a refund.
We finally asked to speak to a supervisor, and the woman on the phone said she'd have to take our phone number and have a supervisor call us back. It's now 1:30 in the morning and we just received a call from the supervisor who insisted there is nothing she could do except for give us a refund. PERIOD. She did not care that we had nowhere to sleep at 1:30 in the morning. She said we had to start calling hotels ourselves to try to book a room. I have never felt more unsafe in my entire life. It is disgusting how they handled this situation.

DO NOT apply for their credit card when you book!!! The information is deceiving. I spent three days trying to resolve an issue over the card: I asked on the same day for them to cancel the card immediately - they didn't. I asked on the second day again - they didn't (They violated my 3 days right to cancel!) Also, do not book with them!! I accidentally under-booked my schedule by I day, and needed it changed. They would not so much as even accommodate me in any way what-so-ever.
I must have spoken to at least 8 different employees including supervisors, managers, and the credit card company - ONLY to be bounced around!! They lie to you passing you back and forth - I spent over 6 hours in 3 days and nothing was remedied. Wasting my time and becoming highly frustrated. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Find a decent agency and book with them instead. SAVE YOURSELF A HASSLE! (Disclaimer: The agents claim they are connecting you to a higher authority, but they just send you to another department. Plus, they refuse to give you a corporate number.)

I booked three hotel rooms and mistakenly entered the wrong city. I immediately contacted them and was chatting for over an hour trying to get the rooms cancelled. She was unable to help me after all that time. I contacted the hotel and they said they would cancel but we had to go through Priceline. I have been trying to get a refund for over a week and was just told that I would not be getting one. That’s 600 dollars for nothing. I will never use them again. Their customer service department is horrible.

I use Priceline to book a trip to California for hotels, the flight and a car rental. Frankly, it's been a nightmare. I was overcharged for the car rental by Hertz, the flight back had to do an emergency landing in Salt Lake City, and I needed a refund from one of the hotels. I am out hundreds of dollars and Priceline customer service was atrocious and refused to help me. I am out hundreds of dollars and the car rental issue is basically fraud. The flight issue was atrocious. I had been a Priceline customer for a long time but will never ever use them again.

I booked round trip flights through Priceline with Alaska Airlines. My confirmation email from Priceline had all the correct details. However, when I checked into the flight, my boarding pass showed a typo in my name. I tried to call Priceline customer support but was not able to speak to a representative because the wait time was over 3 hours. So I called the Alaska Airlines customer support and they were able to fix the spelling error for a fee of $75. When I was finally able to reach Priceline customer support, they said that this was a common programmatic error that they could have fixed for free but since I chose to call the airline, there was nothing they could do. I ended up paying a lot more for airfare because of Priceline. I will never book through Priceline again.

I booked a travel package to Punta Cana through Priceline.com 4 months before traveling. I was told at the hotel that Priceline did not pay the hotel. I called Priceline and talk to the representative for one hour then transferred me to Booking.com. They subcontracted Booking.com for hotel reservations. I talked to representative from Booking.com for another hour and they could not solve the issue. I had to pay the hotel directly at the spot. I was charged over $200 more than the package price. Called 8 times to Priceline and Booking and been pushed around for nothing. It seems they do not take any responsibility for anything. Never had any issues with Expedia before!

Priceline is a scam! Its customer service is the worst one in this country! I booked a Hotel Red Roof Inn at Buffalo NY/I-90 with Priceline. The hotel seemed good in the Priceline review, however, it's the worst hotel I have ever seen. All rooms are broken to some extent, they could not give us a good room so we could stay, it's totally at Hotel's fault and they agreed to refund the total amount, and they did it as well. Now, here's coming Priceline's so-called excellent customer service, they verified 7 times that the hotel already refunded the whole amount to Priceline, however, Priceline hung me up 15-20 days to get the refund! Still, no refund was received! Every time I call Priceline, it spends 40-50 minutes following all bureaucratic procedures with no ultimate resolution. Their system is faulty, gauging customer money without any service.

I picked up the car I rented through Priceline and within 24 hours it broke down and needed to be towed. I have had to do ALL the calling, forcing a case number and doing up all the follow up. They tell me that they can't send me any emails, but that they have to wait for an email back from the car rental before they can give me a refund. PLUS they want to only give a partial refund due to having the car overnight. No mind to the fact that I was stranded waiting for a tow. They don't call back, you have to go through the game of pushing numbers and then being transferred around until the call drops. I will give it a rest for today and start back up tomorrow. NOT WORTH ANY SAVINGS THEY MIGHT PROMISE.

This is twice that I showed up with my paid Priceline purchased rental car and the rental car agencies had given my reserved rental car to someone else. When I called, they told be they would reimburse the difference in what I paid for the new rental car and my agreement with Economy. After two months a several calls since I turned in my agreement and asked for reimbursement, they told me today that they don't reimburse for taxes ($70) and other fees. I had a mandatory insurance fee with Fox (Even though my Nationwide insurance covered all rental cars), but Priceline would not reimburse for those either.

We travel all of the time and just got back from a trip to Wisconsin to visit our grandkids. We booked on Priceline for a 3 night stay in La Crosse and 1 night in Minneapolis. We booked and paid ahead of time for the better rate. On checking out of the hotel we were charged again for the 3 nights. This would have been $84 cheaper booking direct. I contacted Priceline I was told by a supervisor, that the additional charge they passed on to me was a better rate from the hotel for priceline only and their commission. That is untrue as I called the hotel and they confirmed we could have gotten it for that rate. All I wanted was the $84 refund we overpaid. I was told they would not refund me the difference. I will never use Priceline again. Just be aware of how they are ripping people off.

I find that on Priceline, they give you a price for a hotel. Then, when you go to book, taxes and fees are added in. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Problem is the initial price that Priceline gives you is quite low compared to what the price will be with taxes and "fees". You need to burrow down within the program to see what you'll actually pay. Then, when you do burrow down, Priceline frequently either (1) does not tell you what the "fees" are for - that is, Priceline will just give you one clump amount for taxes and fees, and not inform you what the "fees" are for, and why the clumped amount is SO high; or (2) lists out what the taxes you'll pay are, but those taxes CLEARLY do not match up with what the actual taxes are in the municipality you are staying in are - in other words Priceline APPEARS to be adding in significant amounts to what the ACTUAL taxes are. I once wrote to Priceline asking them about this. Not surprisingly, I received no response.
So the above all has the smell of a scam to me, and after having used Priceline for a long time, I no longer use it.

They said that the flight had been canceled an hour after booking by the 3rd party which is Priceline. Call Priceline, they say “someone canceled it an hour later.” Someone who? Also, the money has already been taken. And they won’t return it until the end of the month. Driving to a funeral tomorrow morning, so I booked a car at the nearest international airport (PHF) via Priceline 2 days ago. They assigned me to Hertz (Priceline picked, for the price they quoted) for a pickup at 6 pm, since I figured I certainly wasn't going to need it earlier, and I didn't want to have to wait for them to wait for a customer making a late return. Pickup was at an airport that had flights coming in until at least midnight, so I wasn't too worried, although I should have been. No indication was made in any of the emails or "click here for additional details" pages that Hertz closed earlier than all of the rest of the car rental agencies in that airport.
I arrived at 8:02 pm to pick up the car, and, although all of the other rental agencies in the airport had customers waiting in line to rent cars. The Hertz desk was empty. They put up a sign to say they were closed at 8 pm. A Hertz representative actually came over, but they were off the clock, and were only picking up their personal items. They did tell me I could come back at 9 am the next morning, but the funeral started at 10 am, and it was 1.5 hours away from the airport, so that wasn't a good option for me.
They said if I booked through Priceline, I would need to call Priceline, because Hertz doesn't get ANY money if the customer doesn't pick up the car, and they wished me luck, and hoped maybe Priceline would move my reservation to one of the other rental agencies at the airport, since they were all still renting out cars, except for Hertz.
I called Priceline, and their automated system recognized my phone number and my reservation, and immediately told me that if I had any issues, I would need to contact their "service partner" and automatically transferred me, without any opportunity to talk to a person (yes, I also tried their text line, which was also automated.) The number they transferred me to, of course, was Hertz. The Hertz customer service representative was very nice and attempted to find any Hertz location in 50 miles that was still open, but none were.
I went back and attempted everything I could to get a Priceline customer service person, without any success. They absolutely pass you off to Hertz. When I went through the "modify my reservation" after logging in, they took me right to the lines that say my reservation was non-refundable, could not be modified or changed, and would be charged regardless of whether or not I picked up the car. It's interesting that they benefit with the full price of the reservation if you can't pick it up, and that they didn't make any note of the closing time of that particular rental agency, compared to the rest at the airport.
Priceline used to be my go-to for booking rental cars, but this was the worst customer service, and an outright ripoff. I wouldn't have minded at all if they could have switched me to one of the other agencies right there, and if there had been a surcharge if they couldn't meet the original price, but taking 100% of my money and keeping it for themselves while foisting their customer care off on a company that is literally making NO money from the deal (leaving them no good way to negotiate) is ridiculous. A situation like this can't be that uncommon, and it is set up to disproportionately benefit Priceline, who keeps all of the money for themselves.

They stated they could not edit it, but could cancel it and rebook the reservation to the later time. They did not inform me that the reservation type had changed, but they charged the full amount just after our call ended.
Due to further delay, I was unable to get the car until the next day, only using it for one day. When I contacted Priceline, I was told that they would not be refunding the day I was not able to use. I want to be clear that the customer service guy was nice to work with, but I am super upset with Priceline's policies towards customer service. I have been trying to change a flight for the last two days. Have spent a total of about 6 and a half hours on the phone, been hung up on twice, and finally when I found a flight that Priceline would let me book, it was cheaper than my original fare, which is great right? No...They originally told me that they couldn't refund me the difference in between my flights but they would wave the $75 flight change fee to try to offset it (said it was policy).
I didn't understand why they couldn't refund me the difference because they make it clear that we have to pay the difference if the new flight costs more...but went with it. Then, after keeping me on hold for 25 minutes, they told me that "their system" won't let me book the new flight unless they collect the $75 change fee per ticket... I was frustrated, but it clearly didn't seem like it was the guys' fault...felt bad for him. Regardless, Priceline is clearly not trying to serve their customers well, but make sure they keep their margins high which is upsetting and not good business.

Prices are low, but when have an issue, you spend hours trying to resolve it with no luck. I spent countless hours trying to reschedule a return flight. I spoke with multiple people and often they would say they could reschedule and then hang up on me in the process of changing it. Other times, I was told it would cost an additional $900 when the entire round trip was far less than that. I was also told I needed to contact the airline directly. The airline told me they cannot change third party travel. I was finally told to wait until I took my departing flight and to then call and cancel my return flight. I did this and received an email showing I would have a future flight credit. When I called to use the flight credit, I once again spoke with several people and received several different answers. First, I was told I could apply the credit but was hung up on in the process of it being applied.
Next, I was told the credit didn't exist. Then I was told the credit was suspended and I needed to call the airline. I called the airline who said it shows up in their system that I didn't show up for the flight. I explained the situation and they told me Priceline is responsible for fixing the situation but they will try to avoid fixing it because its money lost for them and their employees get in trouble when the company loses money. They told me they are capable of doing much more than they say so they use tactics to avoid doing it such as hanging up on you, placing you on hold for hours, etc. He suggested I call and say I want to speak with a Sales Rep or Supervisor and that's the only way I will get anywhere.
I did this and the agent said "they will just tell you the same thing as I am." I said I still want to talk to them and she reluctantly said okay, "but there's no guarantee they will help." I was on hold with a supervisor for about 20 minutes. She eventually told me that when I called to cancel my flight, the agent "forgot" to cancel it with the airline. Therefore, it was showing as a no show and that the credit didn't exist (even though I have a Priceline email showing the credit per passenger). I was then told they would contact American Airlines and put on hold for another 10 minutes. Then I was told they needed their IT department to correct the suspension in their system but that department is closed and to call back during their business hours. This is still not resolved even after days of trying! I will never use Priceline again, no matter how good the price is!

Never buy a ticket on Priceline if it is important that you get home. I was on a European trip when Lufthansa cancelled the first leg of my return trip five days before I was due to leave. Because I had bought the ticket via Priceline I had to work with them to rebook. However, Priceline was so incredibly incompetent that, even though there were flights from Zagreb-Seattle (my route) on the day I was due to fly with seats available, they could not get Lufthansa, who was legally required to rebook me, to agree to a single rebooking request with 30 days. So Priceline cancelled my ticket and I had to buy a new ticket out of pocket at a premium price (last minute in a busy travel season).
To add insult to injury, I only got a refund for 2/3s of what I originally paid for the ticket (it was a round trip, and the way they calculated the refund, I got less than half the amount I paid even though the return ticket was the more expensive route). Not only did I have to rebook at my own expense, but I had to spend over 4 hours on the phone in a foreign country to even get to the point where I was told they would not rebook me. So simple advice - if you actually need to get where you are going (or need to get home) DO NOT BUY A TICKET FROM PRICELINE.

I finally have a chance to write this review. I will never booked through Priceline again for bundle package or any of my trip for the future. My flight and car rental was fine but the hotel canceled on me without any prior notice when I got to the place at midnight which I had to get up in 6 hrs for my conference that morning. The lady at the desk said, "You are the 4th person, we got overbooked and we don't have the room you requested". It's midnight and no one called or emailed me about cancelation way before. I was on the phone with Priceline, then they transferred me to Booking.com (not sure why) for hours, she was searching any available place for me. The places that she found for me is further away from where the conference was so I declined.
Over an hour and half into it, they still have not found a place so I started driving to Riverwalk area to see if there is any other places which had any open rooms, I stopped by 2 places and they had none, then the girl on the phone said, there is a Homewood Hilton Suites but "the cost is too high and I need to get approved by my supervisor" so she put me on hold again, I finally got to Homewood Suites and asked the front desk if they have available room and how much, they said "Yes, we have rooms" so I was like, "I am done driving around and asking for any open rooms" then Booking.com said "it is expensive and my supervisor said they will have to find a place closer to where I was originally placed at Extended Stay."
I said, "This is not ok as it's almost 2am and I have to get up in a few hours". She said, "You can send the bill statements to us and we may be able to reimburse for that stay". Yes, after I returned from my trip, I emailed my hotel statement and no one called me or contacted back, when I called 1-2 weeks later, they were going to reimburse me $50 for my $1000 hotel cost, I said, "Are you joking". If I would have known about the hotel cancelation, I would have found a different place ahead of time without costing me this much and they put me in a difficult position where I had no time to look for a place in a last second.
The most horrible service and I will NEVER EVER BOOKED with Booking.com or Priceline ever again. Extended stay sucked as they are the one let the priceline and booking.com down. Right after I booked the trip, Extended stay messaged me about when I would be checking in and I said around midnight due to the flight landing time and car rental, that was it. Nothing else from them for canceling my room. While I was in the lobby, there was a family came in and the room that they got given, already had people in there, "TV was playing, the latch was on" so they decided to go without getting another room there. That place sucked. NEVER AGAIN.

My boyfriend had the same original flights and had to change. At first, they gave him a credit of $197.60. Then when we had to cancel, they gave him $260.59. We had to cancel due to getting sick. It took me 6 hours to cancel. Now I have been on the phone with them for over 3 hours trying to use the credits. Only to find out that I have to use each one for a separate ticket. Which means we are losing money and having to pay additional money to them even though the new round trip flights are cheaper. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

My dear uncle passed in Canada. I was searching for flights and hotels to go for the funeral and memorial services. As I had many windows open, I clicked reservation by mistake on Priceline for a hotel. I immediately called and told them this was a mistake and I would like to cancel. But, after talking to a few people, they told me that they cannot cancel per their policy. I told them that I do understand the policy; but, in this case, I called them literally the second I clicked reserve on the website - so, this was clearly a mistake. But, they said there is nothing they can do about it. I have had similar situations in the past with hotels and other companies and in ALL cases I was accommodated. I will NEVER use Priceline or recommend anyone to use it. Much better to reserve directly through the hotel. At best, Priceline is only good to provide a comparison between different hotel prices. But, even for that Google hotel search is more flexible and works better.

When I searched on Priceline to book a hotel for my trip I put in the dates of my trip PROPERLY and even had my husband check it. However, when I chose my deal and booked the hotel, the dates of the trip defaulted to the current date. After numerous hours on the phone with Priceline, they refuse to assist me in a productive manner and refused to take responsibility for their software glitch. When you call or chat with customer service they are unable to make any changes to the dates of the hotel stay and only give you an option to cancel. Then the hotel can then refuse to cancel and you are just out your money. Even if you purchase travel insurance which is basically useless.
This company is horrible and I would advise anyone to not use a third party booking site, especially Priceline. Save yourself a lot of money and headaches by just book directly with your hotel. I ended up being out an additional $100 because I had to make the changes with the hotel directly even though Priceline's software was at fault. Shortly after others in our group started getting symptoms. Priceline refused my refund. She put me on hold as if she was going to help me only to get back on the phone to let me know the “hotel” would not refund me. What really got me is she blamed the hotel when everything was through Priceline. They could have rescheduled me for the following week or something. I begged them to just reschedule not to deny my refund. It’s a sad way to do business. So basically I paid for a service that I never used. Once I clicked submit I realized that I had not entered the discount code which was provided to me by the hotel staff. I immediately phone Priceline and asked that the reservation be cancelled so that I could enter the discount code which would save me $20 a night x3 (so my total cost for the 3 day stay would be $471.79), The Priceline representative informed me that I would need to call the 3rd Party "Affirm" and ask them to cancel the transaction, so I did, when I contacted the "Affirm" agent they stated that the transaction was still pending on the Priceline side and that I need to have them release the transaction so that they could cancel it. So I called Priceline back and informed that that the "Affirm" representative told me that Priceline needed to release the transaction.
At this I was informed that there was nothing they could do. I said then, "What about the 200% refund if I find a better price." I gave her the discount code, and she stated that she could not enter the discount code on Pricelines' website to confirm the rate I was given for $139. Per night (*Here lies the problem- me either). This reservation was paid for months in advance for son's wedding. I am in a wheelchair, when we arrived to the hotel, we were given a room, and when we entered the room, we found that it wasn't the room that I had reserved, my wife showed them the itinerary and she was told that they didn't have any rooms for handicap people and put the blame on Priceline! When I returned home from the wedding, I contacted Priceline about what took place, all I was given were excuses, and basically offered nothing for their mistakes and the discomfort that it caused me, a disabled veteran. It was clear that the person who I was conversing with didn't know how to do her job, there was nothing rectified during the conversation.
Today, I contacted them today, because I had questions about the differences in cost between Priceline and another travel site, whereupon both are linked to a site that gives military discounts, I asked them how is it possible that Priceline room rate that is in the same hotel, same type of room, on the same day, that they were about 15 dollars lower per night than the other site, yet, when you calculated the cost for both sites, the other site was some 15 dollars cheaper than Priceline! I asked how is that possible, how can Priceline charge 170 in taxes and fees versus Expedia charging under 90. Again I was given lame excuses, and then they claimed that they don't give military discount, that they are already giving the lowest price! which is very misleading and disrespectful towards those who have served their country!
I was wronged by Priceline in my june reservation and they did nothing to fix the wrong! they could have offered some form of credit back for the inconvenience and for their mistake, or could have offered a discount for a future reservation! So when I said that they are losing a customer and that I was going to a complaint! I didn't get a reaction from them. I am very disappointed with the treatment that I received and I feel that their commercials with the girl from the big bang theory, are misleading! I guess they got a big head, with the publicity over the years! I am not impressed by them.

They have so many rules about those travel credits, like you can't book it with a round trip, but only a one-way trip or you literally can't use the travel credit with Delta to book anything and they had to spend 1.5 hrs to find it out and tell me that.
Ever since I had to rebook the trip, I spent 4 hrs, just to communicate with what I want to do, the flight details, and eventually nothing was successfully done so in the end, I just gave up on the so called travel credit as I don't ever want to waste another second of my life with them. I booked a travel package (airfare, hotel, ground transportation) for my 20th wedding anniversary. Priceline quoted me a package price for all three pieces and I booked it. We've come to the point where we are a few weeks before traveling and I was double checking the booking. I chatted with Priceline via their app to check everything. At that time they confirmed my booking was complete for air, hotel, and ground transportation. They also said I could call the ground transportation company to confirm the pickup at the airport. I called Mozio, and they could not find my information.
I contacted Priceline again, this time by text chat, and was told the same thing, call Mozio. Then I called the Priceline agent to actually speak with them. After a very LONG time of being repeatedly on hold, the agent said that a supervisor would contact me via email within 3 to 5 days. Five days later I had not been contacted, so I called back in again. This new agent said that they didn't see anything logged for resolutions from a supervisor yet, but that the five days was not up until end of business that day, so I may yet get something in my email. I was told to call back again if nothing showed.
Two days later, no email came, so I called in AGAIN. After a very long (~60 min) run around I finally was able to talk to a supervisor. I explained AGAIN (as I have for every single agent I spoke with) what happened. I told her that ground transportation was part of the package I booked and paid for, and that I wanted them to send the booking to Mozio so that I didn't have to pay the fee a second time. After a while she told me that I was never charged for ground transportation, and that she was "sorry, but there was nothing she could do".
In the end, she provided me no help, and no resolution. I find it HIGHLY suspicious that none of the other reps told me I hadn't been charged (when I stated it multiple times with each agent), and that it came up days later when I said that I felt like Priceline had stolen my money. This was a package I confirmed on their site then paid for. Then they altered the package AFTER I had paid for it WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION THAT THE PACKAGE HAD CHANGED! I WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE OR RECOMMEND PRICELINE AGAIN! I'm glad I found the issue before I was standing in the airport of Cancun waiting for transportation that would never come.

We were a family of 11, including three infants, who booked an overnight stay in the Airport Hilton hotel at Rome airport through Priceline before our flight home the next morning. Our flight from Sicily was delayed and we arrived late in the evening at the hotel, with an injured senior and a sick baby. We were obviously anxious to get into the four rooms we had booked through Priceline (with whom we had confirmed the day before). When we got to the counter, we were told we had no reservations and should step aside. We were totally shocked. After two hours of back-and -forth with Priceline (who kept assuring us we did have a reservation) and the hotel (who kept assuring us we did not), most of our party was shipped off to another hotel and our injured senior was put up in an accessible room at the Hilton (all at our expense).
By the time it was resolved, it was approaching midnight. Nobody had eaten for hours and the three infants were asleep on laps and the floor. It is hard to describe the chaos and stress involved in those two hours in a crowded lobby, with crying babies and a suffering senior. It was a complete nightmare. In the end, it appears that the third-party booking service that Priceline uses had screwed up. Oh, sorry. Priceline offered a weak apology and refunded our original purchase (for rooms that were never actually reserved) and added 20%. This did not even cover the cost of the rooms we had to accept that night (which did not have the cribs and cots we had arranged through Priceline), never mind all the stress and inconvenience. I booked a review based on the amenities listed on the Priceline website. When I got to the hotel, it was obvious the pool hadn't been used in years, So I declined. The man behind the counter said to call Priceline. So I called and told the lady I couldn't stay there because the amenities listed were untrue. The pool hasn't been in use in years. She asked if I had mentioned it to the hotel staff. Well of course I mentioned it as the reason I couldn't stay there. Still Priceline charge my card 142.18 which is way more than the two days I was to stay at the hotel I never stayed at to begin with.

I called Priceline and they told me cancel my whole trip. They won’t refund me. I told them I do not want to cancel because I can’t afford to rebook and wait for a refund. I lost $40 due to them charging me for something they could not provide. I tried adding the trip protection and says I have till Tuesday 6/28 to add it by 11:59pm but it won’t allow me to add. I was trying to book a flight from South Bend to San Antonio and the price fluctuates day to day as expected. However, when I would choose a flight and the return, when I would get to the screen to fill in passenger information, it would claim the flight was sold out and take me back to flights where the same exact flight was still listed.
Today, I tried EVERY flight on the page and receive the SAME result. When I look at the airlines reservation pages, these flights are still available. Since I have not booked a flight, I don't have a confirmation number to get through their robot answering system to a REAL person. This is different from the Priceline I used to love. There were no hassles and help was a phone call away. I want a good price but I need a legitimate price and flight and not the GAMES that Priceline wants to play! Everyone can make their own choice, but I cannot be the only person that this has happened to recently. I know other sites where they book a cheap rate and then call you to say it is no longer available but have the same flight for $200 more. If Priceline does reach out, I don't want apologies I would want a flight at what they listed.

They explained to me that they would be able issue us a 200 dollar credit because we were not going to be able to make our flight back home the next day, that we had already booked. Then after waiting for over an hour and a half on hold on the phone, they tell me that they are unable to issue us the credit. Not only that, they wanted us to pay an absurd amount of money to purchase new tickets for a different flight to return home. They lied and were very unprofessional about the whole situation. I spoke with multiple supervisors and managers to no avail. In the end, I told them they would be losing all of not only my future business but also all of my friends and family as well. Very bad experience. I found a good deal on Priceline, which stated in the room details that the room accommodates 4 people and 4 adults breakfast are included daily. But later when I received the confirmation email, it said only 2 guests are allowed and no free breakfast was mentioned. I contacted the customer service, and sent him/her the screenshot of the room detail information, but the representative just insisted no such information was included on the contract page prior to booking confirmation. As for how many people are allowed, they only guarantee two. So all the selling point information on the website is misleading? The customer representative showed such unprofessionalism there. He/she was not helpful and showed an impatient attitude that all these troubles are caused by me. Thought I found an unbelievable good deal. Had to cancel my reservation. Will never use it again.

Was told by rep that my money would be back in my bank acct within 7 days. Nothing came so I called back. Was then told it had to be a credit and could book through Priceline or airline Co. directly. Called Priceline to apply for new trip and was told the "status ticket was unavailable" and had to call the airlines. After waiting for 2hrs to speak with a Airline representative I was told it was a 3rd party purchase and had to go back to Priceline.
Called Priceline for the 2nd time today and lady said I can use credit but can't do a bundle package with a credit. Even though I was paying more for hotel and diffrence of the credit for airfare. So have to book flight with rep and then go online and book hotel separately..which means I lose the discount for booking a bundle package. She started to book my flight to only find out it was going to cost me $1,000 more for flight (not including hotel)!! So because I had to cancel and have a credit I get to pay double what the website says it would cost. This is ridiculous and will never use Priceline for any further trips. What a joke!!!

When you make the reservation they do not tell you the whole the truth. All they ask is what is your form of payment. Once you give your card number they take the money at that time but that is not the whole fee. It is a 300 hundred dollar deposit plus the fee they take at the time of making the reservation, so once I learned of all of that at the counter I cancelled my reservations and they still took my money, and I was told it would take up to ten days to get my money back which they did not want to return to me.
But before then the lady swore up and down there was no money taken from my card and I told her that it was money taken from card. At this point I am upset and asked for a manager or someone else. She placed me on hold with loud music playing in my ear and when the man came on the phone he gave me a case number and told me not to call again which was rude. All I wanted was my money back because the reservation was not honored, that's all I asked for because it was mine money and I don't have money to burn on this company. Please save your money! I had the WORST experience with Priceline. 1. My 1st flight was delayed which caused me to also miss my connecting flight and I received no notice from priceline. Missing my connecting flight, I also missed a night at the hotel I booked. Moreover, I had to rebook w/ the airline. Once I did that, priceline refused to help me with the hotel. Said something about not being able to help bc I rebooked with the airline (I wouldn't have done that if priceline helped me in the first place). Then I asked if I can get a partial refund for the hotel since I didn't use that night! They said I couldn't even though the contract said I could cancel until 1159 that night!.
I was on the phone with priceline for 2.5 hrs and no one helped me. Basically told me I was ** out of luck. 2. My flight back home was cancelled and rebooked for the next day! They had availability that night for flights and I wasted another night in a hotel. Priceline takes your money and refuses to help with any promised services. You're better off booking on your own than using them.

VERY disappointed with Priceline and making a single change to my reservation. The drop off time listed on the car I needed to change to a few hours later. Upon contacting them immediately after the reservation I was disconnected twice from 2 different agents who had me waiting for around 10-15 minutes and continually asking me to 'hold while they looked into my reservation'. They would then disconnect me and I would have to start the process all over. The following day I reached out again and had the agent actually stay with me the entire time, and was faster to look into my account, but upon doing so told me that they would not change the return time and rather needed to speak with the car rental company on the day of my travel to see if it was possible.
I do not understand why something so simple (a few hour change) that is being made weeks in advance can not be changed. I will not be doing business again with Priceline. It is frustrating when using them to book something prior to travel is to do so without worry and now they have created just more concern leading to the travel.

Upon check-in, I asked when and where breakfast was served and was told they haven’t served breakfast in a while. The main reason, if not the entire reason, I booked here was for the free breakfast as I am here with my three kids to visit Sea World.
After 2hrs 45min on the phone with Priceline who initially didn’t want to do anything and told me I could cancel if I didn’t want to stay (yes, their “solution” was for me to pack up my three kids and try and find another hotel at 930 at night), I finally, but only after pushing for hours, got them to cough up a $30 credit, which probably won’t even cover half of what it will set me back to take my kids to breakfast for the next three days. You buy then that's not the product!!! Advertised a 'pet friendly hotel'. I bought - not pet friendly!!!! It turns out not pet friendly - would not change booking- look I didn't turn up on the day. Booked through Priceline who are Agoda- basically bought a 'Pet friendly' hotel with York Central Holiday Inn. Advertised as pet friendly on Priceline. Added my pet and the Holiday Central does not accept pets?? Then spent 3 hrs to the most unhelpful team of staff in history. To be told as my dog is not a service dog no he can't go? I said by UK law a service dog is different to a 'pet friendly'. A service dog is not a pet and why advertise a pet friendly hotel who won't take a pet. They said that's basically not their problem???? What the actual???
Agoda is their sister company in UK who the Holiday Inn transferred me to and Agoda tried to get rid of me off their phone by basically saying I provided the wrong email address and to go back to Priceline. Priceline said it's a pet friendly hotel they advertised that I bought and if the hotels own pet friendly policy does not accept pets that's my fault? Neither company would help or take responsibility. AGODA wanted me off the phone. Would not let me speak to a manager and told me the email address I was providing was incorrect so they could not help - I had the email open in front of me.
NEVER EVER USE AGODA/PRICELINE FRAUD. WILL BE REPORTING TO TRADING STANDARDS AS THAT. Also call centre staff no idea what I was talking about. Could not understand me at all and struggled with a basic conversation- worrying considering they are dealing with my data and bank details. I have all the Facebook Messenger messages to launch a complaint and screen shots of the false advertising for trading standards. Caused me 3 hours of upset not resolved still. Horrendous. Please don't use. I beg you for your own sanity. Avoid like a plague!!!!

The app has a really dishonest business model. They take advantage of the anonymity to sell terrible no refundable experiences. We realized comparing our reservation with other offers that they hide the scores and the comments when the place is not well reviewed. Also, they do not keep the hotel photos up to date which, in our case, was very misleading.
We have made a reservation of a hotel classified as 3 stars. After Priceline provided us the name, we saw on Google Reviews that the hotel is actually between 1 and 2 stars. A decaying place that was only good back in the day. The past score made the average close to 3. A place with cockroaches infestation, black mold, electrical problems, thieves records, with a 3-star score.
The app sold us a 3-star experience with no refunds, and it didn't deliver what it was supposed to. So, I naturally tried to contact customer service. The answer was that they could no refund me, that I needed to contact the hotel to solve my issues. Of course the hotel will not give my money back, it is a decaying place with lots of debts. I am not angry with the hotel, because at least I know what to expect when I enter the reception. I am, however, angry with the platform that makes lots of money tricking their customers. To a better experience, go for Booking, AirBnb, or any other service where you actually can get what you're paying for.

I got out of the airport at 11:45 PM last night and when I came out I did not see a shuttle for Fox Car Rental. I called the 800 number for Fox and someone in India answered and said that they don't have direct contact to Fox car Rental. I waited until after 1AM today and no shuttle from Fox came to pick me up. Eventually, at 1:30 AM, I had to rent a car for a lot more since I did not reservation with them. I later learned, from the Hertz Agent that I rented from, that fox closes at midnight. No one mentioned that in the reservation or I would have taken other options.

Updated on 08/02/2022: I booked a two night stay through Priceline, for a stay at a hotel in Toronto, and I booked this from another city in Canada. I found a decent, not great deal, but good enough. When I checked my credit card statement, they had billed me $170 more than they had advertised, which worked out very close to the conversion from USD to CDN dollars. At first they called it a security deposit, but that turned out to be false, then I got the run around for weeks, with no result. In particular, they asked for the same documents from me, four times. They try to wear you out. I would avoid this company at all costs.
Original Review: This has been an ordeal at the very least. I booked a Canadian hotel, from a Canadian city to another Canadian city, assuming the price was in Canadian dollars. Not until I looked at my credit card statement, did I realize that I had been charged in USD. Talk to the site, for the first time, and they tell me it's really a security deposit. They've already taken my money, so I'm not sure why it's for a security deposit, and it isn't the actual difference. Then I see they've billed me for the reservation again, and then a credit.
The credit mysteriously disappears and now I'm on the phone with my credit card company, tracking down the credit. I've dealt with three different CSRs, with no clear result, having to wait until I've finished the trip, to recoup any money. And if it doesn't happen, I'll have to go through this again. This has been a colossal waste of my time and energy.

Made a reservation for my Hawaii trip last month. I’ve never had a bad experience with Priceline before so I never questioned their choices when it comes to their lowest rate finds. Since my trip is in three days just wanted to make sure my car rental was at the terminal, come to find out it wasn’t (I was irritated since I chose airport location). I read the horrid reviews and unsafe protocols that recently happened to someone who rented a car 19hrs ago.
The company had 1.5 star and were charging fraudulent charges after returning the car. Some people said the car was more than five years old, unsanitary, engine light on and just unsafe vehicles. So I called and voiced my concern since it wasn't on the terminal and I had 2 minors with me. On top of that, I questioned their decision to work with terrible car companies that can put people's life at risk. Credit info can be compromised. I thought my concerns were enough to get a refund therefore I can make and rebook my car rental with a more credible company. They flat out said I agreed and reserve my car rental through them and will not receive a refund. If cancelled everything will be forfeited on my end.
How can a company refer you to a terrible and a unreliable and fraudulent company. This just boggles my mind how they won't do anything about it. Priceline I'm disappointed with your customer service and your lack of empathy. I just want to rebook to a safer and more credible car rental 'cause of your mistake. Economy Rent A Car is a disaster waiting to happen. Hope to hear from you before June 8. I have two kids with me and you're ok with me to get in a car through this company.

I booked the car 5 days in advance and still this happened. I am not sure, if they don't have a car available why do they took my order.
I called Priceline and they asked me to send bill to them, which in one way looks strange to me. They could have easily talk to their business partners and find a solution. The Priceline website lists car rental deals, but fails to include key selection criteria or key information about why a deal might be so great. This is compounded when the car rental company's website is not as clear as it should be concerning its car rental contract policies. Consequently, the customer wastes their time and possibly their money on a car rental contract they would have never purchased if they had known important aspects of the car rental contract. The Priceline website did not indicate those car rental offerings that included a "no contract change" clause.
Most customers would not select this as an option if the information was clearly indicated. This Priceline website oversight was compounded by the car rental's website that did not make the "no contract change" clause as clear as it should have on its website. This was pointed out to the car rental company, but they did not address the issue or offer an alternative. As for Priceline, a rep told me to speak to the car rental company and took no action on my concerns about the Priceline website.

Essentially, they lure you in with great prices then that last ticket (that keeps showing up even if you simply backup or search again) is suddenly gone. Someone grabbed it (even though still available constantly), but you can pay (only) $125 more for another "comparable" deal... This is the scam... They show you they have the best prices by showing you fake cheap prices and then "normal" prices that "compare" to everyone else.
You aren't getting a deal, which is the entire point, thus going to American Airlines would save time since their bad deals are apparent and consistent. It is an incredible waste of time trying to find actual good deals through sites for tickets, since all of them tease you with good deals only to only provide you normal prices you can get anywhere else in the end. On April 15th 2022 I purchased a 1-night hotel stay via Priceline.com for May 11th 2022 at a Ramada hotel in Tukwila, WA. The reservation was prepaid in full at the time of booking and non-refundable. Upon landing, I called the hotel for the airport shuttle (an amenity advertised by Priceline), but the hotel receptionist stated that the shuttle was not running. I told the receptionist I would be there shortly and took an Uber. When I arrived, a couple walked in just before me and booked a room for the night.
Upon presenting my confirmed reservation to the same receptionist, he coldly told me that there are absolutely no rooms left and there was nothing he could do. I called Priceline, who also talked to the receptionist at length. He told us that the hotel was overbooked/oversold; in other words, my confirmed and PREPAID room had been given away.
This ordeal lasted several hours; I was talking to Priceline on one line, who was also talking to the hotel receptionist standing right in front of me on another line, while we both spent lengthy periods on hold. I recorded all phone calls between myself and Priceline. It was well past midnight when Priceline finally advised me that they would not assist in finding another room for the night. Despite it being raining outside and cold, I began walking to the other hotels in the area while still talking to Priceline. Hotel after hotel told me they were sold out. To my complete shock, the Priceline rep further stated that they would not even provide me with a refund, at which point I demanded to speak to a supervisor.
The supervisor reiterated that even though I paid for a room I never received, they had no obligation to process a refund. Dumbfounded, Priceline literally left me standing in the rain. To add insult, I have “VIP Platinum” status (their highest), which entitles me to their “Premium Customer Service.” After loyally using Priceline for over a decade, this is their “best” customer service.

At no time in the booking process or in the terms of the contract with Priceline was it ever disclaimed that additional insurance charges would apply at the counter. I attempted to resolve this with Priceline before I accepted the car but Priceline would not cancel the reservation and refund or assist with the insurance.
I declined Priceline’s insurance on their website because I had my own, but Ace would not accept my insurance. Neither Priceline or Ace would assist and I ended up with a rental car more expensive than just booking directly with a major rental car company. Priceline’s terms and conditions do not indicate additional charges would apply. Ace is also a disreputable rental car company (does not fill gas, won’t let you check photos of the car before you sign, won’t accept insurance other than their preferred providers) but this review is for Priceline and poor customer service.

On a May 14, 2022, I attemped a booking through Priceline.com for an overnight stay at Days Inn. After entering all my information including debit card info, hitting submit, I received a message “Oops, no hotel available for the date”. Priceline fraudulently billed my debit card (114.97) anyway. I received a conf email at 7:54PM after noticing the charge. This grievous act has every appearance of a fraudulent scam wherein Priceline.com knowingly lists hotels online as being available, lures customers into entering all of their information including their debit card information, and afterwards bills the card despite its message that no hotels are available. Tried contacting them and was hold, disconnected, lied to that systems were down and could not be accessed. This blatant lie was conflicted with the next morning when a supervisor said the systems were never down. Again, this has scam written all over it! I want my 114.97 refunded!

They won't refund the difference, but what Priceline Reps will do... put you on hold 4 or 5 times... Viola'... The hotel price goes up to a highest rate... because it's like they put the fix in... Priceline owns Booking.com, Kayak... Agoda... and a few more. The guy seemed to be working furiously and the end result was that within minutes the hotel rate was $30 above what I mentioned. It only took him less than an hour to get into the other company site(s).. Go figure... It's easily figured out... Thanks to court records.

We booked a vacation trip with Priceline. It’s the worst thing you can do because online it shows certain hotels and flights and when you purchase it. It will email you other information. I bought a trip to Hawaii. The flight said it would be a 5hr trip and when I received my email information it became a 9hr flight. They changed my flight and wanted to charge me so much money to get what I originally had chosen and purchased. I will never book with Priceline. It’s not worth it. They show one thing online and give you what they choose. I had a horrible trip.

I understand hotels not having a refund policy for people who cancel last minute...etc. My circumstances were different. The hotel was not what was advertised as I pulled up and police cars were there and a vehicle was vandalized with its windows broken out. The victim told me he had been staying at the hotel (Holiday Inn Airport -Colorado Springs) since Friday night (5/6/2022) and this incident was on 5/9/2022. He saw I was alone as I was going up to my room and said I shouldn't stay at the hotel. He said he was certain it was bullets that caused the damage, but the police took it down as vandalism. He was military and he was going to his room to pack up and leave, too. I was scared **-less and returned my key and found another hotel to stay in. Not a good first impression AT ALL.
I called Priceline immediately after and they could care less. They said "No Refund, sorry." They charged me ($1100) for a room I never used. I don't understand how I couldn't even get 1/2 of that back. I DID NOT feel safe! The hotel was not what was advertised as far as I'm concerned. Priceline cares more about their profits than your safety. Greedy. I made the choice, I get it, the hotel had some great reviews and some sketchy. I should've known better. My life was worth more than the $1100.00 room and I stand by that. Consumers beware. Even in situations like this, NO REFUND.

The website charged me twice for my ticket, and in trying to fix this the website erroneously canceled my flight. I thought this wasn't a big deal since it said that I had a free refund within 24 hours. Turned out, half the trip was with a different agency that had no refunds, and there was a red error with buying protection. I called and they said there was "nothing they can do" and that I'll have my money back in 7-10 business days. My trip is in 2, my return trip in 6. I cannot only not afford another ticket, but now I cannot afford other bills coming up, and I'm hundreds in the hole for a trip I didn't even want canceled. Support will not let you get past the bot and when I finally did manage it by pretending it was changing a flight, I was told that the refund was processed and there was nothing to do. This was an important flight to me and I've been charged to not even go on it. Use literally any other website if you don't have hundreds to blow on nothing.

My 21st anniversary is the end of the month so we are celebrating in Sedona. I decided to contact Priceline to help find us a King size room at a better deal. Bad idea!! First, I’m pretty sure they hire outside of the USA as I had a hard time with all the accents from their customer reps making it that much more difficult to communicate! I was very clear on the call I was looking for a King. I was given a couple recommendations and then was told the best rate was the studio for $279. I assumed it had a King as that was what we had discussed. So I agreed to the room and booked it. I was stupid and didn’t want to pay the extra $100 for refundable as I felt like I wouldn’t need it.
Needless to say after speaking to the resort and told the studio actually was a queen not a king I called Priceline back. After several calls of ping pong from the resort and Priceline. I was told that it was nonrefundable but could change it to a king for an extra $40 plus tax and fees a night. As I was not told the room was a queen I asked to have it changed. They made a claim to their escalations department said I would get a call back in 2 hours! However, no call back after 24 hrs, then was told it could take 48hrs. Then still no call back after 72+ hours I call back and then was told that a decision had been made to decline my request because I agreed to the Studio. I of course did not agree as I was under the impression the Studio was a king. So my claim was sent further up in their department. 72 hrs later I get an email stating they are not going to change the room even though I had asked for a King!
I’m so annoyed with the whole thing! When I spoke to the resort they advised me that they price match and to avoid this happening again to just go through the hotel/resort! Well I learned my lesson thinking I saved a few bucks!! Never again!! I will never use Priceline for anything! Worst customer service and experience!! I’m trying to not let this experience ruin what should be a nice weekend of celebration.

I called and made the reservation with an agent over the phone through Priceline. I have no business of affiliation with Booking.com, nor did I authorize any transaction or reservation through booking.com. I called because I was driving, and my fiance had looked up options online and got the alert "call for even more savings" or whatever so we called. Initially the agent quoted me twice the going rate online so I thanked him and said I would just book online. He then back peddled and asked me to hold on again and came back with 58.99 for a KING room that met my basic requirements, a pool, king bed, breakfast, and pet friendly. I confirmed and reconfirmed that this was for a king size bed with these specifications. Because I was informed that as soon as the reservation was made at least the first night was confirmed either due to the time of the call.
I was traveling last minute for a funeral and the space I thought would be available wasn't going to be. I did not have time to check the email confirmation just received the notification that I had received it. Considering I had booked twice with Priceline exclusively for my traveling needs previously without any issue I made the mistake of having confidence in your business. I checked into the hotel as soon as I got into town as it was already after 10 and I had been driving for hours with a dog, a toddler and we were all exhausted.
I went to go unpack in the room. I open the door and realize that it was a single double bed and not going to be enough space, and I had booked a king. I went back to check in desk and was told the reservation was made for a double bed and they could only help with an upcharge. I then stepped/pulled away. It was a drive through check in. And proceeded to call to find out what the issue is, when I called from the Priceline website then to my surprise I was redirected to a booking.com customer service agent. I then explained the situation and was told since I spoke with a Priceline phone agent I needed to contact Priceline. At this point it's after 11pm and I decided to take my business elsewhere. I went back to check in and attempted to return the keys and get a refund and was told they would not be able to provide a refund immediately but that the upgrade would only be another 17.50.
At this point I was running out of time to even get in anywhere and had no funds as the motel 6 ran my credit cards already, so I paid the upcharge and pulled into the parking lot and proceeded to opt for the text option only to be told that the reservation was made through booking.com and to contact them. I informed the rep over text that booking redirected me to Priceline. But insisted I needed to contact booking. So I called AGAIN! Spoke with an agent that gave me the same run around as the first so I asked for a supervisor, who not only was not helpful but cancelled my reservation, I also received the email confirmation for the cancellation. Ultimate he told me this was not an issue Booking could resolve because the original conversation was with a Priceline phone agent.
So I tried to call again and was again redirected to booking before I could even get a human on the phone so I called the line that I originally booked on and asked to speak with a manager and was finally able to make contact with Priceline customer service who again tried to tell me I had to call booking.com. I am at a loss as to how the circle games are tolerated by your active customers. He finally got a supervisor or senior agent and then while my three year who is exhausted and tired of being in the car is screaming assures me he has escalated the issue and I would get a response in 1-3 hours. This is at 12:30 am as I am casually driving around in an area I am unfamiliar with and considering I had already seen the police at the motel 6 I didn't feel totally safe there or stopping generally anywhere around where I was supposed to be early this morning.
I drove around the areas my fiance is more familiar with for a few hours while I waited for the response, and by 4 when I didn't receive any response or even acknowledgement I called again and spoke with a manager who got me to manager who escalated the issue again but told me I couldn't count on any specific time frame to hear back and my reservation had already been cancelled by the rude booking manager. After driving around all night and having been up since 7am on the 14th I drove the almost three hour drive home because I didn't know what else to do. I even called the motel six to get my refund so I could just find somewhere to sleep and they told me they got the cancellation but as it was so late in the night they couldn't help me until after 10 am today.
I have never been dismissed or treated so poorly by a customer service team or teams in my life. I called customer service again this morning because I was supposed to get a call back from manager and never did. And was again treated dismissively, told there was no one I could speak to and nothing anyone could do for me, until it was reviewed. The funeral I was supposed to attend was my best friend from childhood and very important to me, and I was supposed to be there at 3 pm today for the memorial and this evening spreading ashes. I now have charges I can't reverse on my card, absolutely no gas and spent all my gas money driving around. Not to mention the pure emotional and mental exhaustion of just trying to speak with someone while trying to manage my family and drive in an area that is not known for its low crime rate.
I needed a king bed in a pet friendly hotel with breakfast and a pool so I didn't have to think about breakfast or fight about where to go to ease my stress in a time of pain, so I could keep my child contained and entertained without having to drive around in the times I wasn't dealing with everything with the funeral. I had my dog because I didn't get told until late yesterday evening and made the reservation on the drive. I needed it when I arrived at 10:30 pm, I needed to not spend an hour and a half to even get anyone on the phone after I paid the upcharge for a room that was cancelled afterward that I never even entered. I needed someone to call me back or email me with a resolution when they said they would. I am literally in tears. I am so disappointed in my overall experience I don't even know where to begin and I was looking forward to expanding my relationship as things open back up and my family begins traveling this summer.

With no resolution, got hung up on once, called back and had to keep repeating my request with an end result of "don't worry about it."
I don't appreciate or trust a company that provides clear and concise info on how to take your money, but plays ping-pong with the customer when they express concerns or have questions.
