Ok we all know hotels have a deposit in this day in age so I know to look thru all the fine print to find this information as I found out the hard way on my first trip thru Priceline I get to hotel that I all ready paid for thru price line to find a 100.00 deposit which Priceline did not include this information on the price breaker you don't know what hotel until you pay so besides this now I know better correct
Ok now here's the problem I paid for three nights at the La Quinta in Columbus Indiana it was me, my better half and our 16 year old son who eats our house everyday as he should and he's a straight A student. I don't play. We are honest, pay it forward and act right type of people. Well so I made sure thru the fine print of said deposit and it clearly said 50.00 dollars. After 10 minutes of looking just to find this info well that left us 200.00 for food and what not for 3 days. We'll we get there and I'm hit with a 200.00 CASH deposit and as Priceline makes sure in bold to let you know there no refunds. The manager at the la quinta just kept repeating herself. I don't care. You can either pay the 200.00, leave or go to jail so with no refunds.
I gave every dime I had so now we only had breakfast for the three days that was included with the hotel stay. So I hand her the money, she hands it over to another employee and goes home as she kept complaining it was her time to go home and she was in fact the hotel manager. She was so rude but as I had absolutely no options but to bite my tongue, say nothing else and give the money as our son was with us. Now the rest of the hotel was on other then the maids being loud at 5:00 am talking banging doors while cleaning the rooms and doing laundry, no respect for any customers. Everything else was up to par.
Now after trip I called priceline and explain the situation. I wasn't expecting anything. Just wanted to let them know. Well I was told I was going to get my trip money back. It was promised. I was told I had to give up to 30 days for the hotel to respond to the complaint and I made this complaint March 10th 2023. So time goes by and 8 call Priceline back and I was told again I was getting my money's back. Once again I had to wait and then a third phone call and I'm told same thing so I asked for a email with confirmation to what I was told. I will get one as soon as I'm off the phone. Well I did in fact get a email but it had no confirmation of their false/straight lies. It was for 10% off my next stay. Are you serious?
So here we are May 13th 2023, no compensation of any type, only 10% off my next stay which DID NOT WORK. LOL and then I find out Priceline actually add money to the taxes and fees for their services. So I paid and Priceline does NOT back their customers and they do NOT back what they promise and as they're taking my money adding trips, I have 21 of them, I have not received one free night, only 5% and 10% off which none of them have ever worked. It's always a restriction of some type. SO BUYER BEWARE. YOU'RE PAYING PRICELINE A FEE EVERY SINGLE TIME and if something goes wrong they promise you things to get you off the phone. I'm as honest as they get!!!!

After considerable time talking to multiple Customer Support people I was told that there is no one I can talk to in order to resolve my issue.
1. The Priceline online reservation process is as good as any of its competitors.
2. Priceline, its membership program, and its VIP program are worthless.
3. Priceline cannot be counted on to follow through on its commitments.
4. Even though I found the same hotel, same date, same rooms for less on their own website, they will not match the price or allow cancellation.

What you do, if this was you? I booked with a Red Roof Inn and PRICELINE was not accepted and was left in a bid in Georgia, NE Atlanta area. Could stay anywhere and PRICELINE could not find ma a hotel. I was stuck. I asked for a refund and have not received it in 1 business day. I received a credit of $ $9.67, Instead of $65.97. Nor have I got a call from Management. I have not gotten a call back from the Escalation Team. They left me stranded without a place to stay. This unacceptable.
I could of come from any part of the world. I deserve a triple credit for the days I have to wait for my funds to be released. Priceline may need to stop doing business with 2- star hotel that cannot accept their reservation. It against the contract clause. It is making Priceline look reputation look bad when comes to hotel stays and causing Priceline customers the greatest inconvenience. I had pain and suffering and had nearly caught pneumonia. Then Priceline can't solve or prevent a problem swiftly by the end of the day after 3 hours of phone calls.

Accidentally, my computer auto-filled my last name to a reservation I was making for my husband. They had him standing at an airport for 2 hours as we showed our IDs, marriage license and documents to show our mistake. Regardless, they couldn’t fix the name mistake and he was left at 2 am in a city with no other available cars. It cost an extra $600 and hours of stress and headache. Never use Priceline or make sure you triple check that your computer doesn’t change or auto-fill.

Used Priceline to book 3 hotels. I was given a receipt by one of the hotels and the price shown was $40 cheaper than what Priceline charged me. Tried contacting Priceline and was told the hotel should not have shown me the receipt and there was nothing they could do about it. Will call hotels directly from now on and deal directly with hotel as they will match Priceline prices.

This is how the email they sent reads: “Your feedback is important to us! We know you have an opinion and it'll help us improve! Tell us about your flight to San Jose, CA. Take our survey.” Rating buttons don’t work. I had a horrible flight experience and wanted to provide feedback and after writing a lengthy explanation of my experience there was no “submit” button. There was no way I could find searching online to communicate with them about this. I don’t like that at all. Since they don’t “Say what they mean and mean what they say” I don’t trust them and will not do business with them, especially seeing the reviews posted here.

Guys, be very careful when booking via Priceline. I booked a car rental from priceline and was confirmed. I saw my credit card and saw amount debited to HERTZ. I received no emails or text. I wanted to make changes and called priceline. Priceline told me that my reservation was with hertz. I called hertz and hertz told me that my reservation is with Uber.
PRICELINE->HERTZ->UBER. What a pity. And my credit card debit was on HERTZ. Then I figured out myself to download hertz app. Cancel by give the reservation number (I got it from hertz. Chinese customer service, because I didn't get an email or text) and last name and was able to cancel my reservation. This is absurd. No more with priceline, I have always been an Expedia guy. Bye bye Priceline and hertz.

I rented a Ford Edge for $152/day, which I thought was inclusive of the for a 1 way car rental w/different drop off locations, other car rentals advertise the same car at a much lower rental rate per day, so it is advertised at this rate for a 1 way rental. After The rental was complete, I was charged an additional $140 for the 1 way drop off. I picked the car up Fri @ 5 pm, had 2 full days, then dropped it off @ 10:30 am on 4th day, yet I was charge for 4 full days for $752. I booked thru Priceline, so I thought those were my total charges except for $60 gas fee to Dollar, but Dollar charge another $212, for a recovery fee, airport fee, & taxes & gas fee. Priceline says in their agreement that additional fees may apply, but no specific reference, certainly not $212 worth of additional fees on top of $749, it's completely misleading, additional fees are not clear upfront, I will never use them again & I am writing this review so other consumers don't get ripped off like I did.

This agency does not communicate properly with its hotels or customers. It booked a room online through Priceline on a certain date. I go to the hotel on my appointed date and I improved my room to a better room. The hotel successfully canceled my other reservation without charge. I paid for the room and Priceline did not offer a refund despite what their customer service told me on the phone.
This company screws people over and they do not keep their word. Word to the wise, when booking a hotel or motel, do not go through third-party agencies like these. Communicate with the hotels directly to avoid issues. I hope Priceline runs out of business. It is no shock that they are rated one star out of hundreds of reviews on this platform.

I am very dissatisfied with Priceline's phone service. I called to ask about handicap accessibility and the man told me in order for him to complete the search he needed my card information and then I had to pay today. I was asking about a shuttle to the medical center in the city I was trying to book a hotel, as I didn't see that on the website. He literally wouldn't help me unless I booked with him, today, and asked for my card number before he could proceed with any searches. Maybe I misunderstand what calling their customer service entails, but I thought they would be more helpful and not only try and obtain my card number to collect money straight away. Not pleased at all, and will not be using this site again.

I am so alarmed at what Priceline has done for my hotel booking. My plane was cancelled 1 hour before departure. I called priceline and they said because it was a plane issue they could refund the hotel. I was advised by their (priceline) representative to cancel my reservation and provide flight cancellation documentation (both of which I did). Two days later they (priceline) emailed me to say no refund would be issued!
I had other family in the hotel city that could have at least gone to enjoy the room and pool had cancellation not taken place. Per their (priceline) advisement to cancel, I lost out on my refund, my family lost out on using the room and priceline collects! I contacted the hotel directly and they said had I booked directly with them (the hotel) they would have refunded all nights minus the first night. Should have just done that. Why they (priceline) advise me to cancel is beyond me. It's just not right. Very upsetting. I keep emailing and asking for the phone recording and they keep giving me the run around.

Dealing with Priceline has been a nightmare. I had a trip booked and my mother passed away so I could not complete it. I was given credit for an American future flight which has proven essentially worthless. I have tried to rebook a ticket with my $225 credit and every flight Priceline gives me, there is a "difference" of over $250- $500 I would need to pay. I have been on America's direct website and I can fly cheaper without my credit- how does this make sense? I should not be able to book cheaper on the same airline with no credit than I can with Priceline using a credit. They are a predatory company, steer clear.

This service is no longer needed as the hotels and airlines give you the same deals without all the fees and if you need to cancel you can't get your money back with Priceline, but if you book direct you can. Priceline makes up some sort of excuse as to why they can't give you the refund even though right on the airline's website it should qualify for a full refund.

First time using them, attempted to book a flight for 5 people that totaled $2,218. I entered all the info to book, clicked "book flight" and received a message that the flight was no longer available. I went back, found another flight for a few bucks more, entered the info and was again told "this flight is no longer available. I went to the airline site to book the same flights, at the exact same price (interesting I know!), of course the flight was available but my card was declined.
I log in to check my credit card account and Priceline has two $900 payments that have been removed and one for $1,600, I called Priceline and the person on the phone stated the $900 was to ensure payment was available, I asked why they needed to know what's available when the flight was not. Then when asked about the $1,600 payment, she stated "we will GIVE you your money back in 1 business day".... Thing is why did you steal my money out of my account when the flight wasn't available? First and last time and I will be sharing this insight with everyone I know, They have basically triggered the fraud alert on my account so there is nothing I can do until I call my credit card company in the morning. Save yourself! Just book with the airline, the price was the same AND available smh.

I have used Priceline to book flights, hotels, and rental cars for years without issues until today's hotel reservations. It was always a delight using Express Deals because they are normally lower in price in exchange for not revealing the name of the hotel until the reservation is paid for. Today, I did just that. I booked a hotel in San Bernardino using express deals for $151 a room/day. When completed, the name of the hotel was revealed and, to my dismay, the hotel is advertised on the same website for $121 a night (exact same room features). I called Priceline to get a resolution. 2 customer service personnel later there is still no resolution. They make it seem like there is nothing we can do. The first person said that I will receive a phone call from his supervisor.
2 hours later and still no phone call, I had to call customer service again and I got exact same story. Jake (customer service) said that I should expect a phone call directly from his supervisor in a few minutes. I finished writing this review and I still did not get a phone call. This is the worst customer service I have experienced with Priceline. I will not use Priceline again. It is sad to see Priceline go from a 5 star to 1 star.

I have used Priceline for years without a problem... until now. I chose their deal, they choose the hotel after you select your package. When they sent the hotel information, I googled it... ALL of the reviews mentioned the cockroach problem, drug dealers in the parking lot, and the doors not locking correctly. One review even showed pictures of blood on the shower curtain and the sheets. When I contacted priceline (6 times) and told them the situation, every one of them told me there was nothing they could do. They said that they absolutely would not give me a refund even if it was not safe. When I called for the 7th time the person was amazing and understanding and refunded my money. I just could not believe they would expect me to stay alone in such an unsafe and disgusting Place!

I booked my hotel through Priceline 3 months in advance. Upon arriving I was informed they were overbooked. They said they would try and find a hotel. They did find me a hotel, but it was in a very unsafe area for a female to stay alone. I was in town for an event and would be arriving back at the hotel late. The parking lot late at night was a little scary and I don't scare easily. My room was on the end next to the exterior door which was purposely left wide open all night. Needless to say, I was not well rested for my events the following day. I slept with my car keys, planning a quick exit through the window should something happen. Instead of a safe stay in a nice hotel at the Courtyard in a safe area of town, I was booked into a sketchy hotel in a scary neighborhood. It was a busy weekend in town and this was my only option.
Priceline then proceeded to continually claim that I was the one who cancelled my non-refundable reservation. It took 5 phone calls (which unfortunately had to get less friendly) to make them somewhat admit that I didn't cancel it. I will never book with them or their sister company booking.com again as I now know that their customer service is non existent. Just book straight the the hotel, it is a little more expensive sometimes, but much better.

Original reservation had their computer continually change the dates I required. When it looked like the problem was solved I completed the booking. Upon checking the confirmation I found that the dates were wrong again. I followed up with the Priceline people right away and was told to contact the hotel. The hotel, surprised, said it wasn't their issue since the booking was with Priceline and they took the payment. Back to Priceline I go and a different operator said that all that needed to be done was to create a new ticket which he did and I received with a confirmation of the correct date.
When I arrive at the hotel 10 days later, after a 10 hour drive, the hotel does not have the confirmation. Apparently it only went to me. After some preliminary discussions with the hotel I was able to get a room at a walk-up rate (almost double the Priceline rate) and then went back and forth for two hours between Priceline, Booking.com and the hotel with no resolution. They play the shell game (Google it) very well. Lots of very earnest appreciation for my situation and promises that the matter "will be looked into and sorted out". It's been six days since the incident and nothing 'crickets' from Priceline and their parent Booking.com. I was a first time user of the service and it will be the last. Terrible customer service!! Other Express Deals I looked at included resort fees in the total but the one I purchased did not. This is the reason I booked it! Otherwise, I would have waited or purchased a resort stay with Disney directly since pricing would have been the same!
When I arrived at the resort, I was notified of the resort fees and had to pay to them because they said Priceline did not pay the resort fees to them. $344.25. I have spoken with Priceline 6 times and have been told they need to get resolution from their business partner, Agoda. I was also told by several customer service team members that I shouldn't have to pay resort fees, because the contact I had with Priceline said the total I paid included everything and I have ascreen shot conversation to prove it.
I have spent 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 26 seconds on the phone with Priceline over 3 weeks trying to get resolution. Some of that time was while I was supposed to be relaxing ON VACATION. I have been hung up on. I have been told I am wrong and that resort fees were disclosed, despite providing my itinerary and sample booking screenshots. I have been told someone will call me back and no one ever does. I have been told the situation will be escalated and every time I call, the case is in the SAME condition it was previously.
As a business, Priceline needs to resolve their customer's issue and THEN deal with their "business partner" on the back end. It isn't MY fault there is an issue with their business partner. When I called the hotel, everything is under Priceline as well, nothing to do with Agoda. I want the resort fees refunded ($344.25) and honestly, additional money refunded to cover my time on vacation as well as after trying to get this resolved.

I'm sad to report that the first (and last) experience I recently had with Priceline was a terrible one. I am traveling for a work-related convention this July 11th, 2023, and was told by my CEO to be present until Saturday, July 15th (not the 14th, as I initially believed). I booked a hotel through Priceline, only to hear two hours later that I would, in fact, NOT need a hotel room on the night of the 14th, because the convention was ending that day (not the 15th). Therefore, an additional night in a hotel room was not needed.
I immediately (within two hours of booking the hotel room) attempted to cancel the room through Priceline both via email and by speaking with a live customer service representative. After over an hour and a half of attempting to tell the representative that I no longer needed accommodation, they simply said, "Non-refundable booking, cannot be changed, can't be cancelled." I repeatedly asked why, and asked if there was the possibility to move the booking to a later date/time when I would actually be able to USE the room (as opposed to giving Priceline $175 for NOTHING), to which the rep repeatedly said no (with poor grammar to boot).
I felt no sincerity in the representative's actions or words, despite the fact I had just booked the room two hours prior. They did not give me any option other than "eat the cost." I continued to ask if I would be charged resort fees for not showing up, or if they would just take the fully charged $129, to at least save me $45. The representative never answered my question. I asked her if I could call the hotel and ask for a refund (as I write this, it STILL has not been 24 hours since booking), and she did not answer that question either. She simply sent me an email showing the booking itinerary. Again, poor grammar, questions not answered, no empathy for essentially extorting me out of $175.
If all online travel agencies are like this, I hope, for all of our sakes, that there is a much needed change in the industry. How can a company not offer a refund for a hotel booking that was unintentionally made, especially if it is within 24 hours of booking? And no care for the customer from the customer service representatives. No wiggle room with moving the booking to another date. Just taking my $175 in the blink of an eye. Still cannot believe this.
I previously heard good things about Priceline for booking inexpensive hotels. Now I see why. They probably earn a FORTUNE conning people out of their money. Please be careful when booking hotels, as the FINE print says you will NOT be refunded, even if you have a valid reason, and even if the cancellation request is made within 24 hours. Shame on you, Priceline :(

This company along with another company I've yet to find out about any other ones yet but I'm sure they all do it. These travel agency companies are falsely advertising discounted rates for members. Discounted rates for VIP members but in all actuality they are falsely advertising. They are racking up the rates and then saying they're going to give you 10 15% discount on your next booking but that's because they racked up the rates. I've been booking hotels, motels for the past month. Been traveling and I went to use my husband's phone because it said a specific price on a hotel and then when I clicked on it the price would change and then when I sign in the price would change but when I did it from my husband's phone I got the price that I searched it for. Paid it for that price.
When I called the company to ask them what was going on and that why am I having to pay a higher price when I can purchase at the price that's showing on my screen on my husband's phone, both customer service rep and supervisor both lied on the phone stating that they couldn't get the deal at that rate but I told them I had taken screenshots, videotaped it and I booked it on my husband's phone for that price. But they told me on the phone they couldn't get it for that price. But yet I'm a VIP member. I'm supposed to get special rates and discounts and the best price guaranteed. I told her that I would go book from someone else's phone at the motel I was at. She said go ahead. I'd be wary of all these companies that state certain prices when you become a member. They're actually charging you more and gorging you out of more money because they track your IP address.

Never book with Priceline because if you book with them and your flight is cancelled ..regardless if the airline cancelled due to a national disaster this company will not refund your money. I booked this trip over 42 days in advance a bundle deal which was flights and hotel reservations. On the day of my trip the airport in Fort Lauderdale was underwater to where the FLL airport closed down. It was on the news and weather channels. I reached out to Priceline and the hotel about what was going on as well as a refund as this was beyond my control in order to be refunded. Priceline tells me it’s nonrefundable they have to wait for the hotel (The Strat Hotel and Casino) to see if they will make an exception for the refund request. Why? How is it fair I pay for a stay for several nights but didn’t stay at this hotel at all. Exception for what?
If I’m a doctor and a patient is looking for care and I provide care to that patient a service was provided and shall be paid. I paid for a service I did not get! You just take customers' money at the time of booking online but don’t care if the service is rendered. They don’t make accommodations they only good for stealing your money! Correction: I got a refund after the 24 hour period. The airline policy allowed for the refund. Booking.com gave me a credit stating it was the airline policy; when I checked there was no credit with the airline. When I went to redeem it within the year of ticket purchase I was told 'redeem' actually meant to take the flight within a year of having bought the tickets (regardless of when the original flight was for), rather than re-purchasing the tickets within a year of the original purchase date. So priceline got to keep my money for free.

A group of my friends and I booked a trip to Florida and because Airline Prices were so high we went through Priceline and had them book it. We were traveling on a Thursday and on Tuesday in Ft. Myers the hurricane hit. Our AirBNB canceled and even though the airport was closed, American Airline and United (that is how they booked us) did not cancel, therefore they would not refund our money, but gave us a credit, mind you with a certain percentage off.
Well now I am looking to reschedule a trip (not to the same location) using my credit. Mind you, I had two credits, one with AA and one with United.. I tried the refund process again but they didn't budge nor would they extend the expiration date of the credit. We needed to go through Priceline again... they got my flight home settled but when it came to AA and my credit going to Florida, it took them 1 hour and 25 minutes to finally tell me that they couldn't get the reservation to go through they kept getting a failure message... Then after all that they told me I needed to go through American to complete the booking.
Now AA completed the reservation in 15 minutes and I was set. BUT because I had to go through AA directly they charged me an extra $50. and I had a 98.00 credit but they couldn't use that. On my other flight United, I was $50 over and they couldn't take it out of the other credit. It was the most convoluted mess, If Priceline put me on hold once they put me on hold 15 times. It was ridiculous. I will never use that service again and I'm really thinking that I won't use American or United either. It was agonizing to do this. This is the worst mistake I have made in booking a trip. They pull you in by saying you can save money on a bundle, and no fees or little fees. If you have to cancel or change your trip you get mostly none to very little back. And even if the car company is willing to give you your money back or the airline company, they do not want to honor that. They tell you they will send an email to the company that promised you they would refund the money, And it could take within several days to your travel date before you hear back. I was literally transferred 4 times, and still to the wrong person to handle the car rental refund as each department handles something separate. The wait time was 15 minutes!
Your itinerary they sent you says to contact the companies directly to make any cancel or change plans. Then those companies tell you to call Priceline back and make them aware that you have changed or cancelled and they will process the refunds. Then an hour later priceline could still not see that I had canceled my Delta flight even though I had email confirmations immediately from Delta when I was on the Phone with them with my e ticket credits confirmation the hour before. The guy on the phone at priceline argued with me that My flight was still intact and I would be a no show if he did not cancel it on his end as well, but I explained to him I was scared that would mess with my credits if he were to re issue. I booked a flight from Toronto to Victoria for February/2023 Swoop through Priceline. Unfortunately due to weather my flight was canceled and I was given the option to request a refund as there were no other flights available. I did so and received an email that my refund was being processed. After waiting several weeks I still did not see the refund and was told by Swoop that it was in fact Priceline that had to send the refund. I spoke with a Priceline agent who said that they needed to look into it and would email the accounting department. She asked me to call back 2 hours later. I called back and was told that they hadn't heard anything so I needed to call back again in 2 days. I questioned why I needed to keep calling them and was told that that was the way it worked.
I waited 3 days to call again and was told the same thing. At this point I became extremely frustrated and asked for the Manager. The agent I was speaking with told me that she was the supervisor and there was nothing else she could do until the accounting department emailed back. I asked her to call the department instead of waiting on the email and she said that there was no way she could do that, I just had to wait. I was extremely frustrated as expected and she assured me that someone would get back to me via email that week so that I didn't need to call again. I never received an email and still have not seen my money. It's impossible to speak with anyone at head office and I feel like I've been banging my head against a wall. I wish I had paid extra to book with the airline itself to save myself this hassle. The company is in the business of robbing people!

I have had the worst experience with Priceline and I will not be using them for any of my future travel plans. What would appear to most as a non-issue has turned out to be a nightmare. I bought an online ticket for myself, and then later on purchased another ticket for my son (a minor) through an Priceline sales agent (via phone). At the time I was advised that the two tickets were going to be linked, since the minor could not travel unaccompanied. Three days ago, I received an email that my son’s ticket had to be reissued because of some flight changes. After the “reissue” I noticed that some flight details on his ticket differed from mine. By the way, according to American Airlines Airlines the ticket reissue never happened, but that’s a different story!
Three days and many hours later, I’ve been given the runaround-getting bounced back and forth from one customer service area to another, and the issue is still not resolved. I sent several emails asking for a callback, and they have all been unanswered. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever received, and I’m not even sure who I need to speak to, to make sure that my international travel with my son will happen without a hitch.

I made reservations for a extra day then what I needed, immediately called and talked to a representative who tried to fix it with a new reservation and recharged that same card from my first reservation and I told her I’ll need the refund from that reservation before I could make a new one. She said it’ll be 5 to 7 days to get a refund so I said ok and canceled my reservation so the 5 to 7 days would be up before I go on my trip. Called a couple of days later to check the status of my refund and they told me I won’t be getting a refund back because I canceled my reservation. Lost $500. Never again!

I rented a car through Priceline for a day in Miami. The car rental company was off site. It was not at the airport. The rental place was 4 guys running the business from a trailer. When I got there I got in line in the sun like everyone else. After an hour of waiting I made it inside the trailer. The man told me they had no more cars for anybody. When I asked how it was possible they didn’t have a car for me when I had a reservation. He told me that Priceline had overbooked them. I went back to the airport and called Priceline. I spoke to a rude representative who kept correcting the pronunciation of my name. She was no help. She informed me that it was Priceline’s policy to research what happened and that she couldn’t do anything and that the investigation would take 2 to 3 days to complete.
I told her that I was at the airport and had no transportation and that I was now on my own even though I had prepaid the reservation and Priceline refused to give me a refund. It has been an entire week since the issue and no one from Priceline has reached out to me. Do not ever use Priceline for anything! I purchased a ticket and purchased trip insurance which allows me to cancel if something comes up, or so I thought. I had a death in my family and had to cancel or at least receive a credit for the flight I book. When I tell you that each representative I called would forward me and place me on hold I am not telling you enough. I was on hold for approximately 1 hour and 46 minutes. I started to feel like Phoebe on Friends holding. I was already upset but they just wouldn't or couldn't help me. One representative told me to call United directly. United told me that since I brought it with Priceline they would have to cancel or reimburse. I called back and was told that the person answering didn't have "flight" experience and one guy answered and told me that he would have to call the airline. I reread the itiniery and it stated that I could change the ticket but I am afraid that I end up buying another ticket and getting robbed.
I will NEVER buy from Priceline again. The flight is tomorrow and they basically are saying "Eat it". No one helped me. Before I wrote this I even tried their chat and it was a bot and it kept asking the same questions. The people are all very polite and apologize for your horrible experience but then they forward your call to someone else and you are stuck in a vicious circle. My God. This was my first (and will be only) time using Priceline. My family had a vacation planned months in advance to go to the South West and after a long day of travel, we were ready to pick up our vehicle and get started on the last leg of our journey. When I booked, I used my credit card and listed the driver as my partner (He prefers to drive but doesn't have his own credit card). There were no red flags at the time of booking and so when we got to the rental counter, we were told that they couldn't release the vehicle to us because I prepaid for the rental and the card and the drivers names didn't match. The kind woman at the counter suggested calling Priceline and explaining the situation and asking to cancel the current booking and rebook the exact same thing but with myself as the driver.
First off, it was near impossible to get in touch with the company. I couldn't find any phone number and the one link I found to call them didn't actually display a number but just opened up my phone app and displayed 5 digits.... Ok... Can't call with only 5 numbers so next I tried the live chat/text option. They weren't able to do anything because it was too complicated of an issue for that platform, which, ok fine, give me a phone number. I finally got a phone number and even though the automated message said the wait time was 0 minutes, I waited on hold for almost 5.
The woman I spoke to was kind enough and I know it wasn't *her fault, but she insisted there was nothing they could do right then. The process for cancelling and rebooking actually consisted of them emailing the rental company to confirm that we didn't pick up the vehicle and that could take up to 5 days. Until they got that confirmation, they couldn't do anything for me. We were on vacation for 5 days, still three and a half hours away from our final destination so this was not acceptable. I told her to cancel the whole thing.
The rental company was really amazing and helpful and even though I ended up paying more than double what I booked for, at least we were able to get on our way. The customer service was as ok as it could have been given the company's ridiculous invisible policies, but I will never book through them again. If they don't disclosure something as simple as 'the name on the card needs to match the name of the reservation' then who knows what else they are trying to hide and be sneaky about. Nope. Never again.

Our Spring Break vacation was an horrible experience at Sonesta ES Atlanta GA. We booked this trip back in December. My whole family was excited to go until we got there. We called on our way down to see if we could check in earlier due to we were coming in ahead of time. The lady at the front counter told us we would have to pay an additional $50.00 dollars to check in early. We didn't have an issue with this as we were tired from driving and wanted to get in a relax after being on the road for several hours. The room conditions were abysmal!! The floors were nasty, the curtains and floors had stains, the second room had a soiled towel in the shower and hair in the bottom of the tub. We called down to the front desk and told the lady at the desk about the issues with the room. She stated that she would have someone to come and clean the room and "NO ONE" came to the room at all.
The second day we went down to breakfast and filed another grievance about our accommodations. We were once again told that someone would come and clean the room while we were out exploring the city since they didn't have a lot of rooms to clean that day. We were out for almost six hours and when returned the room was still not cleaned. Day number three I called and asked to speak with the Manager after leaving the manager several messages with the front desk attendants. The manager did not call me back until I threatened to call the companies CEO. She said she could move us to another room. I told her that I have a ruptured disk in my back and contusion bruising in my knee so I couldn't be moving bags and suitcase up and down stairs without help. The manager offered no help in that regard. In fact she tried to flip the situation on us as if we wanted to be in nasty room by saying why did we stay in the room if it wasn't clean.
I stated to her that we were told twice that someone was coming to clean the room. After that conversation she said she would "TRY" and see if she could get someone to come and clean the room. We decided to move to another room when she couldn't guarantee they would come and clean the room. We spent almost (3) days in a room without the trash being pulled, fresh towels or the room being cleaned. The second room they moved us to had bugs in it. At that point we were just ready to go. Also we can furnish pictures of the conditions of both rooms. When we asked for compensation they said they could only refund us for one night. That was so insulting!! ON March 8th, 2023, I made the 7 hour drive to Virginia (from upstate New York), located where I was to be the next morning for an appointment, and parked my car to go on my phone and find a nearby hotel to stay in. I put 'hotels near me'. Up high in the list was the Priceline app offering a selection. Briefly, in only a matter of minutes I selected a hotel for that night, using Priceline, that was in my immediate vicinity - The Springhill Suites by Marriott. The lowest sticker price for a room brought my payment with taxes to $186. for the one night I was to be in Virginia. March 8th. The confirmation from Priceline came promptly to my phone, for the 9th of March! The day of my appointment, after which I would be already going home.
Thinking this would be a simple matter, I first called the hotel to let them know I was to stay with them that night. They said they could not change the date - since it was a Priceline reservation. They gave me the phone number for Priceline. I called Priceline. They steadfastly refused to change the date of my stay. I explained repeatedly that I had put the correct date into my request, March 8th.. only to have a reservation return for the following day, March 9th. Priceline told me they would not change the date. (The hotel did have room, that much I had established in my call to the hotel.) Furthermore, Priceline said that since any cancellation of the reservation was within 24 hours of making it, I would be charged the full amount, i.e.. no refund at all.
I can't imagine what would happen to anyone on a strict travel budget. Happily, I was able to book a different hotel for the same night, on Booking.com, whose phone app was not only far clearer and superior in every way to Pricelines.. Booking.com checked the desired reservation date, not once, not twice but THREE TIMES! I booked and stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Alexandria Virginia. I did NOT make an additional reservation at the Marriott, due to understandable disillusionment that neither did the hotel offer the least help with Priceline over the error in the date.
Mind you, the resulting conversations, time stamped on my phone, with both the hotel (twice) and Priceline - took place within minutes of the reservation. From 8:44pm to 9:06 I'd spoken with the 2 organizations 3 times. The Marriott Manager refused to come to the phone. No one gave a damn. If I was someone who'd just spent their budget on a hotel, I'd have had to sleep in my car that night. No matter whose error it was, (Priceline's faulty app), that neither Priceline nor the hotel saw fit to help me in the least to change the reservation date, is abominable. I will patronize neither ever again. My guess is that this sort of thing happens with Priceline; and their response was to be only too happy to keep the full amount of the '$ale' rather than help the client. The silver lining was finding out how well the Booking.com app works. I will leave them a well deserved commendable review.

I am a platinum VIP Priceline customer. You'd think that would mean something. I stayed in hotels pretty much for an entire year. Here is my issue with Priceline. They do not list the hotel's incidental charges. For someone like me who is on a budget, that is kind of important thing to know. Especially when every hotel operates differently. I stayed at 4star hotels that didn't charge any at all. I stayed at 2.5-3 star that wanted $100 per night.
When Priceline gives you discounted coupons to use on your next reservation, it's always thru their Express deals option. So I'm order to get any discount they force you to go that route. Which would be fine except they choose your hotel, and majority of the time you don't even know the names of the 3 girls they're choosing from. So it makes it impossible to contact the hotel and find out what their incidental fees are. 3 times, I couldn't afford the incidentals and the reservation is non refundable of course and I ended up sleeping in my car, out the $100+ for the room. My question to Priceline is how difficult would it be to contact your accounts and get that information to add to the terms and conditions for that hotel!?!? Doesn't seem that difficult.

Priceline refused to refund the itinerary and blamed it on the hotel. You would think that both PRICELINE and PANTAGES would do more to protect clients and the community ar large. I’m disgusted by both businesses and the have permanently lost our business.

We booked a hotel room through Price line for amount of 471.72 on March 2, 2023 to check in on March 3, 2023. Our stay was booked for 6 nights. We charged the hotel to our Personal visa credit card. Price line took the whole amount immediately out of our bank when we booked it. When we arrived at the Ramada Inn Wyndham Seatac North we were told very rudely by the front desk clerk that we needed to pay an additional 150.00 for incidental deposit, which we had no problem paying. We gave the clerk our American express and he ran the card and came back and said it was denied. That is impossible because it's a business card and it is unlimited. We asked if he could try again and he kept saying it's denied and he then said he could only take cash. We told him we didn't have cash and that we needed to call price line back to be relocated because they refused our good american express.
We also told him we would be back with cash if we couldn't resolve what the credit card company was denying. We called and checked american express and were told everything was fine and it was not the card. Our card and limit was good. We then decided we needed to call priceline because he was refusing to check us in without paying cash and being we use price line on a weekly basis and never had a problem like this before we figured we could be relocated. We called and were told that the manager was not available until Monday and there's nothing they can do to help us. We ended up sleeping our truck that night because both companies refused help and wouldn't check us in. We came up with the cash and went back to Ramada inn and said, "OK here's the 150." Security and the front desk clerk informed us that they cancelled our 6 day reservation and there's nothing they could do..
We contacted price line again and said now they have cancelled us. Could they please help us. They do not until Monday when they could speak to ramada inn manager. I stressed to them that they had our money and we had No way of charging for another room and we didn't want a refund just to be relocated and again no help!! We slept in our vehicle again night two and no one could help nor did they care! Monday has come and we had to get a loan from family to get a room and priceline said they still couldn't reach the ramada inn manager and it would another day.. So another day out of room, no money, and yet their companies got paid and we got service..
I am in hotel rooms and give price line a lot of my business and I'm a gold member and I can't believe they do business this way and if from the reviews I've read they are one of worst crooks I've ever experienced. Can someone please help get our money back.. We literally are sleeping in our vehicle till my payday and need our refund to get another room.. Price line and Ramada inn were paid 471.00 and we never got a room.. How is this even legal???

If I could, I would give them zero stars. They are the worst company in existence. I fly frequently, and unfortunately, my United flight was canceled. Although United refunded my money quickly, I had to wait for Priceline to release my funds because I booked through them. Priceline repeatedly blamed United for the delay. Every time I tried to connect them on a 3-way call, Priceline hung up on me. After speaking with United, I learned that some companies use their own credit cards to book flights, and it's possible that my refund was processed through their account. United confirmed the refund verbally and via email, but I have yet to receive my money to this day.

Attempted to book plane tickets online through priceline.com. All attempts failed after filling out all information. An failed error screen was shown when trying to complete the transaction and there was no confirmation email sent or confirmation screen shown. This lead us to call priceline to complete the booking. Before proceed with this booking, we asked the person to confirm if there is any booking in our name. We were told the tickets were no longer available and thus the reservation failed. We proceed with the "phone" booking which we recieved confrimation. However, a few days later, there were duplicate charges on our credit card.
One of the "online" failed booking went through somehow without confirmation. We only found out about the failed "online" booking went through with our credit statement. Again, we were told there was no booking in their system before proceeding with "phone" booking. We had since been on the phone with priceline for many hours with no resolution being kicked around between different departments or the person would end the call without warning. When calling again, it is back to step 1 every time as if it was our first time calling. Apparently, there are "offline" and "online" departments and they do not talk to each other or have access to each other systems.
Now, we have two bookings for the same trip, six tickets for three people. Again, the "online" booking failed which led us to call priceline to make the "offline" booking. It was explained to us "offline" priceline is not priceline.com so I need to call the "online" department. No surprise, when speaking with the "online" department, we would be transferred to the "offline" department. In short, no one from priceline "online" or "offline" department are willing to help. Their system failed and booked the plane tickets without confirmation, their service people misled us into booking the same booking on the phone, they refused to offer refund on the unauthorized booking with no confirmation what we discovered via our credit card statement.

They didn’t even attempt to find me any better options for a place to stay. Instead, they offered a 20% coupon towards my next stay. Priceline does not tell you that the taxes may vary upon the booking or that with using Affirm, you were adding extra hurdles. They do not have the option of adding a second name to a reservation. They also state clearly in bold, Non refundable/non changeable.....but offer travel protection that does absolutely nothing. Why offer something that is useless but I digress. Spent all morning, attempting to add a name to no avail.
Arrive to this busted hotel where the front desk clerk says they charge 60 dollars for incidentals and they only take cash because "cards take too long" to refund. The clerk then tries to say that all hotels take cash....Never heard of this in my life. The room smelled sour but it was clean and I left it that way. Upon check out, the new desk clerk goes on to show pictures that seemed to already be stored in the phone saying there were stains left on a sheet. One sheet wasn't even in my room and yet they blamed me for it and kept my cash deposit that I had not planned on spending. The whole experience tainted what otherwise would've been a nice overnight. Of course with all the hoops, I ended up spending over 100 dollars more than planned when I could've went through Expedia or Booking.com at the end of the day. Yes, sites, plural, because with every site I brought him to he would say the same thing. Priceline had the better price, when I was looking at the grand total from all three sites as we went through them all being less money. A scam at best and when I read Priceline’s BPG it stated if I found a better price it was guaranteed by 200%. Well I found out why they state this in their guarantee. After paying for the entire trip I received an email from Routes stating they did not rent to Colorado residents and thus I needed to cancel my rental car reservation with them, and book a rental car with another company. I contacted Priceline customer care (which is extremely hard to get ahold of) and discussed the issue with them. They summarily canceled my reservation and informed me they would issue the refund for Routes and also stated they would reimburse the difference in cost for booking another rental car company for the same class of vehicle and booking time frame. I received an email from Priceline Customer Care confirming this reimbursement.
After completion of my trip, I followed the instructions in the reimbursement email to the letter and when I received the confirmation email showing the submitted car rental receipt for reimbursement, under the type of document submitted it was incorrect. I repeated my receipt submission exactly as stated in the email, and again the type of document submitted showed incorrectly. I contacted Priceline multiple times regarding this issue and was informed they already issued a refund for the original $91.20 from Routes Car Rental. I informed them that I was also promised a reimbursement of the difference in cost from the original rental amount and the new rental amount. They seemed to not understand me and insisted I was owed nothing else.
I have called and emailed multiple times to resolve this issue with Priceline and even have a case # ** regarding this issue. I was supposed to be informed of the status of reimbursement within 5 business days of opening the case and Priceline failed to do so. I have called and emailed and every time I am informed that they do not know what is happening and can tell me nothing, and in fact keep receiving the same response that I have been issued a refund for the Routes car rental of $91.20. The total cost for my other car rental for that trip was $705.56 (with insurance and fuel) and Priceline owes me a reimbursement of the difference from the original $91.20 and $705.56 (minus insurance and fuel etc.). Unacceptable when my reservation is for 8 am. I called Priceline while waiting for over an hour to pick up this car. They couldn't have cared less.
Additionally, Easirent asks you to sign various electronic documents and provides zero of them to you. Our flight landed over an hour late from the expected time to pickup the car. At the front desk, we were informed that the reservation for the car was already closed since we arrived late (including the waiting time for the car rental to pick us up from the airport). So we ask if we could reopen the reservation and get a different car instead, but then they have to collect another rental payment from us saying that Priceline has the money and was not remitted to them.
We ended up not renting a car from this company (Route rental) and looked for another car rental within the area. We contacted Priceline explaining the situation and to request for refund for the car rental and insurance we've paid to them. We received their reply after few days informing us that we booked a "non-changeable, non-refundable type of reservation". This is a costly learning for us, if ever we've missed those fine prints when making the reservation. But why would someone would take the risk to book under that kind of terms and conditions? Would be a 0-star review if that were an option. No customer service, no customer satisfaction and could care less what happens to their customers or their experience. They are partners with Spirit Airlines who are the dregs of airlines. I guess you pay for what you get. If you want canceled, delayed and poor flights this is your company to book with. There are fees and additional charges for everything. They charge $200 for the flight and $400 for your carry-on bags and seat selection. That is beside the point and not even my issue. They had 4 planes sitting in the hanger and no staff to fly them.
We were only missing a co-pilot for our crew. They delayed us for over 8 hours saying it was because of the weather. Then canceled the flight and told us it was because of the weather. The inside airport staff was so fed up with the constant questions about our flight they told us the truth, they said the co-pilot called off because he didn't want to fly such a late flight. Our only option was to wait in the airport for 12 more hours for the next Spirit flight that could get us to Philadelphia. I would take 18 more hours to fly back to the East Coast with a layover after going further west to LA.
It was crazy unbelievable. Was stranded in the airport for 13+ hours, but I was eventually lucky enough to find seats on a last-minute flight to come home to Delaware. Cost me $1760 extra. I did it all on my own with no help from Priceline. They said nothing they can do, that's how it is. If it's not their fault, then there was nothing they were willing to do. I made a reservation for a hotel/casino in Reno and was charged a resort fee. Checking in I was informed I must pay that fee directly to the hotel, not the third party. Priceline would not acknowledge that the fees I paid them were resort fees but rather internal Priceline taxes and fees. Shown a copy of my booking details and a copy of a current booking through Priceline detailing the extra fees as resort fees and a copy directly from the hotel website detailing the extra fees as resort fees, their customer representative supervisor (in an escalated review) maintained they do not collect resort fees as a matter of policy and the fees were for Priceline. The result is I have paid 55% more for the reservation than had I made it directly with the hotel. I notice that over the past two months the reviews of Priceline at Consumer Affairs have been consistently negative. Buyer beware!

Not only do they charge more + a fee, they give you no cancellation option. I booked a hotel on Priceline and realized, within literally 5 minutes of making the reservation, that I made it for the correct dates, but the wrong month. It was an honest mistake, and I immediately called Priceline to help me switch the dates. There was NO grace period, I was told, even though I realized immediately that I had made a mistake and called within minutes. I was told there was nothing they could do, I would just have to "eat" the money! There should be a policy in place that allows cancellations or changes, even for reservations without a cancellation policy, for an hour or so, just in case an honest mistake has been made.

I misspelled one name on the application. They tell me I have to cancel the complete reservation and rebook. So if I cancel reservations, I have to wait 5-7 business days for the funds/transactions to be completed, then rebook everything. I do not understand why they can't change the name in the system. Then they will mention they need to contact the hotel. No, we need to get the airlines, not the hotel. The hotel does not conduct a name check. The airlines do.
I also understand I do not speak proper English along spell correctly, but I can barely understand them, and with my broken English, we confuse the hell out of each other... So I know I am not a rich person, so though they could not correct the name change, I asked them to cancel the entire reservation, and I won't be rebooking with them.. The entire family is going away, so we are spending well over 7K, but a much-needed vacation for us all. Miraculously they can change a name now... to my surprise. Thank you for the 1hr phone conversation..I am over it!

I used Priceline for the very 1st time in December 2022. I was headed to Houston, TX to visit a friend. I reserved a car rental and a hotel. Based on the pictures advertised on Priceline for the hotel I had chosen, I thought it was a great deal. Of the 803 reviews listed, all were mostly positive. Boy! Was I in for a surprise! Hotel was NOTHING like the pics online by Priceline. Hotel had water stains all over on the ceiling, my room had fogged up mirrors because the hot water in the tub could not be shut off. Bed had stains. The ottoman on the chair looked like it was 20 years old. The fixtures were full of rust. It was horrible.
I informed the hotel manager and he acted as if he couldn't understand me. I called Priceline and it's now January 25th, and I've made 5 calls to Priceline and still nothing has been resolved. Priceline tells me "we need to speak to hotel manager, please hold". Every time Priceline says, "manager was not on site, manager was not available, manager will be there on Saturday". NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED! Worst experience ever. Avoid the headaches and just get rid of Priceline. They are useless.

Group of 4 of us booked round-trip Flights thru Priceline 8 mos prior to our trip. One of our friends had a job change and would not be in AZ (where we were to fly out). We talked with American Airlines, they said to adjust the flight - no problem on their end, but that we had to go thru Priceline - since they are who we booked the flights thru. After multiple attempts (days) to speak with anybody - FINALLY - able to talk with a rep. She stated there was no way to edit our tickets as 3/4 of us would fly out of AZ and our other friend would meet us at our destination. This was attempted 6 mos before our trip! I asked to cancel the flights altogether - take the penalty and we'd re-book our flights elsewhere. She said she was sorry, but we are unable to do that. Absolutely zero help. What a joke of customer service. Sorry - but we are giving you no alternatives.

I made a reservation thru Priceline that was handled thru their sister company Booking.com. When I received my credit card statement I was charged by Priceline for the entire reservation and also by the hotel for the same amount. I was told by the hotel that they were the only ones that was suppose to charge me and not Priceline. I made countless phone calls to get this resolved and getting bounced around by Booking.com and Priceline. I finally got to speak to a representative from Priceline who said they didn't see where I was charged by them, even though on my credit card statement it clearly says Priceline and their phone number. I filed a dispute with my credit card company after getting nowhere with Priceline. They could not help me due to some sort of policy that because this was an online charge and not with a merchant.
I went back to Priceline again after several phone attempts and again spoke to a Priceline representative. She gave me an e-mail address to send documentation of these charges, which I did. I sent copies of my credit card statements along with a letter explaining the double charge. I waited a week and didn't hear anything since I was told it would be approx. 5 days. I again sent a follow-up letter along with all the copies asking acknowledgement if it was received and again heard nothing. I waited another week and finally called Priceline again, again going thru several reps and getting cut off 4 times. I demanded to speak to a manager and finally one came to the phone. I explained the entire situation, gave the case number provided to me which meant nothing to him, and he kept insisting that I needed to provide the correct trip number.
I gave him the trip number that I had been using for all of the countless calls before that everyone recognized before, and he said he could not help me further if I couldn't provide the correct trip number for this reservation. this. He kept saying to check my e-mail and I kept telling him I only traveled 1 time this year and this was the only reservation in question. This was simple because we only went on 1 vacation and this was the only trip number that should be in their system. He was ready to hang up on me, so I gave him a brief ear full before we both hung up. I was going nowhere with him and he was a supervisor. We are out of $322.00 because I am tired of messing with this firm and nowhere else to turn to. I will never use Priceline or Booking .com again. Anyone reading this, please check your credit card statements and forget about getting someone to resolve any billing issues.

I have just spent the past hour+ trying to clean up a mess that Priceline created for me. In that process I was transferred back and forth between Priceline and Booking.com multiple times and none of them accept responsibility for the inconvenience, posting blame on the other and not correcting the situation. I booked a reservation nearly a week ago and spent the initial time researching and pricing out a room for an upcoming stay. After time and consideration, I chose The Red Lion in Seaside, Or. Today, I receive an e-mail of cancellation for my stay. I call the number listed in the email which is the hotel who informs me they have been sold and will not be operating as a Hotel. I then contact Priceline. Priceline encourages a text option but then gives the run around to contact Booking.com.
Booking.com references Priceline which is who I booked through. My biggest problem is that now the comps for that hotel are more expensive than a week ago. Priceline won’t offer any compensation for what I would deem is their mishap. The product they offered is not available and was basically falsely advertised to me. Even if they didn’t know in the moment, they could have absolutely offered some sort of compensation for the time I wasted researching and the price differential over this past week while other inventory pricing went up. I will never use their services again. It’s not convenient when it becomes this much of a nuisance and no one I spoke to will accept responsibility.

When I contacted the airlines they agreed to process refunds - all their charges to me as did the Trip Protection company - Allianz.
However, APPARENTLY - Priceline has HIDDEN fees when you use their site and even though I initially paid for my flight, seat and baggage, Priceline charged a "$15 SEAT AND BAGGAGE processing fee!" I attempted several times, talking with Priceline rep and Supervisor to have this $15 charge refunded and was told under no circumstances was that possible. Was a "non-fundable" charge. One that was NOT communicated at the time of my reservation I made WITH SPIRIT! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE and while we have been Priceline advocates over the years - this definitely ended that relationship. I went online to find a rental car for our recent trip to LA, CA. I settled upon Economy Car Rental via Priceline.com. Upon arrival at LAX, after retrieving our bags, we followed the directions to where to pick up rental cars. We waited for twenty minutes for a shuttle with our car rental listed. I called Economy only to learn that we had to go to a different place to be picked up and that the shuttle would say something different than the name for which we were looking. I was gruffly told that the text number on our record had received a text with those instructions, which never arrived.
We finally found the place where we were supposed to be picked up and waited another fifteen minutes. The "shuttle", a blue line bus, picked us up, drove about a mile off the airport property and dropped us at another parking lot and left us there. The driver told us another "shuttle" would be by to pick us up, but failed to mention it would not say Economy on it anywhere. After three calls to speak with someone at Economy, and twenty minutes later, an old tired minivan finally showed up and took us to the agency.
When he dropped us off at the back of a building, he told us which door to go in, since there was no sign for the agency on the door. We entered and walked down a long hallway and finally found the front desk. There were two persons working there and it was a very inefficient, antiquated office. It took 35 minutes to finally get assigned our car, and then we had to wait another 15 minutes to actually get the car. When it showed up it was dented and scratched up, and the interior smelled like a wet dog and was covered in pet hair, plus the carpet still had evidence of muddy shoes in the front and back seats. Priceline needs to know what type of agency to which they are directing their potential clients. I am totally without confidence to ever use Priceline again because of this experience.
