The booking process was fairly easy. Airline changed /5 flights by 1-3 hours. I went to changed my first preceding them and was told I had to pay the difference which they told me it was almost 3 times the original reservation. Online showed the flight was the same price for the one I wanted and the one I originally booked. I wasn't allowed to cancel the one flight. I would have to cancel the entire reservation. I was told she had to go off of what the airline showed her. I was on the site while on the phone. I could have canceled my entire reservation and paid for a whole new one and still would have been cheaper than rebooking a 50 minute flight I "only needed to pay the difference on". I will never use Priceline again.

We booked by accident. The place is conveniently located. We were traveling and driving through storms and I booked through Priceline by accident. We should have done more investigation. Every human needs a place to live. But when we got there and saw all of the people hanging out and malingering in the parking lot on both sides, we decided to call and ask Priceline to cancel. They denied our request and the $103 paid felt like an injustice. Every human needs a place to live, but I should not be fearful of my existence and feel held hostage for my money in a situation that was not one I felt was advertised. Best of luck and hope you all don’t make the same mistake I have!

I booked through Priceline with a hotel but Priceline booked the wrong hotel. When I tried calling Priceline they kept repeating the automated message as if I couldn’t speak to a real person. Finally when I was able to get through the customer service was horrible. They wouldn’t let me know when I was on hold, they kept leaving the phone without telling me. Priceline obviously messed up on their end and when I asked for them to switch the hotels they said no they couldn’t, then I asked for at least the $66 credit on Priceline because we have no place to go.. they also said no.

Then when I finally asked for a total refund they told me it’ll be a $60 cancellation fee. It makes no sense. Then they keep answering the phone and not saying anything at all. I’m on the phone as I type this right now and they took me off hold and won’t say anything, then they hung up. This is a scam, and the managers are no help. Rica offered no help or options and I believe she was the one that just answered and hung up without saying anything. I wouldn’t recommend anyone using Priceline AT ALLLL!

I rented a hotel in Orlando FL, through Priceline, they charged more than the hotel itself charges for the night. Not only that the hotel then charged me more than Priceline for the same booking. I paid twice for a abysmally substandard room. I got bit by a bed bug, and trying to get a refund for my stay has been the most frustrating experience ever, two representatives hung up on me because I went straight to the front desk with them on the line. My children are here and we are currently going through some rough times, so we need the money to get a different hotel, and we have been given the run around by 3 different people and kept on hold for over an hour to speak with a supervisor. DO NOT USE PRICELINE.

Chat once a week with them about it to be told always after being on hold at least 45 minutes that I have to wait. Do NOT use Priceline!!!

Original Review: I booked a flight, hotel, car rental and paid for all three, with my debit card. I get to the airport to pick up my car and have to give my credit card, okay so I think it's for a damage deposit, no problem until I get my credit card bill, I was charged for the car again! Contact Priceline after getting the run around for hours I finally get a response of they need to get confirmation with Dollar Car rental in Phoenix, I then attach a copy of everything paid. Priceline won't believe my receipts, they want confirmation through Dollar Car Rental. Hey, I sent the receipt from Dollar - Nope. I have contacted Priceline multiple time wanting to know and update... That is a JOKE. DO NOT USE PRICELINE OR DOLLAR CAR RENTAL!

I made a reservation through Priceline and when I went to pick up the car from Routes they told me they did not rent cars to locals but they still charged me for it. They were claiming that Priceline should not have made the reservation and it was too late to cancel the reservation. When I reached out to Priceline, they told me to request routes for a refund which never happened. It looks likes these two companies are colluding to embezzle money from locals and routes holding on to the funds with no service performed and no legal basis. 65 negative reviews. Negative Google connections should be a cause for concern.

I booked two nights at Hampton Inn by Hilton & Suites using Priceline. I booked @4:00 pm on 6/13/23. Then I had second thoughts and went back online to cancel. It said in the email that the booking was fully refundable if canceled before 11:59 pm on 6/12/23. This was before I even booked!!! Email went on to say that if cancelled after that time, a penalty (their phrase) of one night's stay would be implemented. So, stupidly, I decided to go for one day since I was going to be charged anyway. After I checked in, I called down to the front desk and told them I would not be needing the second night. I was told that they could not refund it as I had booked through a third party. So I called Priceline. They put me on hold while they presumably contacted the hotel.

When Priceline rep came back on the line, I was informed that the hotel could not refund me for the second night as I had prepaid using a credit card and they couldn’t refund to a credit card. This is interesting considering when I checked in, I was charged another $20 for security deposit and was told it would be refunded at check out. So, in the Priceline itinerary it said that the booking was non-refundable after 12:00 am on 6/14/23. I called them well before midnight on 6/13/23 and yet they would not refund the second night. I wasn’t asking for a full refund. Only the second night. So, anyway, I checked out after the first night well before the noon checkout time and was hoping my credit card would ultimately only be charged for one night. But I see on my app today it was charged for both nights. I am furious and will never again use a third party booking app. I suggest nobody else does either. Call the hotel directly.

When we arrived at the airport, a man was waiting for us, with our name and an exact car, that we ordered, the difference was he was from Phoenix car rental. He asked for our credit card information, when I said, we already paid you, he explained that we did not. As soon as we got to our hotel, I called the number on our itinerary for MEX and it was disconnected. I then called our credit card company and started a dispute. That was six months ago, and we still have not received a refund from Priceline, they said, it’s up to our credit card company. The credit card company says it’s up to Priceline. Funny thing is the amount charged for the night by the hotel was ALWAYS less than Priceline price. It's like a double scam....Not only do they NOT have the best price but they double charge you. Also, Priceline refuses to do anything about it, saying that you will have to contact the hotel but when you contact the hotel they say they didn't payment from Priceline.

I must express my profound disappointment with this company and its customer service. The level of misinformation and lack of transparency I encountered is truly disheartening. If I had the option, I would give this company no stars at all. When I contacted the customer service to book a hotel, I was unaware that it would result in a bundle including a car rental. Despite my repeated inquiries, the agent failed to inform me that the price quoted was in USD. As a result, I was charged an exorbitant amount that was far from being reasonable.

In my attempt to resolve the issue, I made countless calls to the customer service, hoping for a solution. Eventually, I was transferred to a supervisor who regretfully informed me that there was no department dedicated to handling bundles, and therefore, they couldn't assist me. Furthermore, they declined to cancel my booking or offer any form of compensation.

I possess a recorded call with the person I spoke to, which contradicts the customer service's claim that the price was mentioned in USD. It is disheartening to see such a lack of accountability on their part. Given this experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this website or engage in any future transactions with this company. I implore anyone considering booking through this platform to opt for a trusted and renowned website instead.

Beware purchasing air travel on Priceline. They lie outright about included baggage and then claim it is an airline issue and need resolve with them. Excess baggage costs can then be astronomical. They do this to show a cheaper price than Orbitz. Orbitz is totally legitimate for same flights and clearly state baggage not included. Thus they show a higher but truthful price than Priceline. I recently purchased tickets on Priceline and even took screenshot of the page on site where clearly states checked baggage included. Priceline later claimed they cannot honor their own representation on their site and said it is an airline issue and they are not responsible. Clear lies and deception. I booked a trip with Priceline in April and then the flight was changed 7 times before I finally canceled it through the airline because the new times were unmanageable due to other parts of the trip already booked. Times were predicated on the flight times. Went to rebook and Priceline wouldn't allow it because they were still showing me being booked on the original flight.

After 7 hours on the phone with them on Memorial Day, it was fixed and we were rebooked, but it was more expensive. Very frustrating. Still, I went there again this morning and booked another trip and bundled the flight/hotel/rental car. When I got my confirmation from Priceline, the car was missing. So I canceled the flight immediately and then tried to cancel the hotel to rebook the whole thing again, but this time, I wasn't able to cancel the hotel, even though their website said free cancelations within 24 hours.

I utilized their chat and was advised it couldn't be canceled unless I wanted to eat $370, so I requested a supervisor and was given a phone number. Had to wait until I got home from work to call. That guy told me the same thing without even looking into it. I requested another supervisor. While he clicked away at his computer, he ultimately told me it couldn't be canceled. So here I am with a hotel reservation that can't be canceled because their website posts incorrect information and they won't honor it. All of this because their website bumped my car reservation in the first place. THEIR website makes the original mistake and I have to eat it. I wouldn't use this company again if they gave me free trips. Terrible, terrible service. Oh, and then they want you to tip them for it because you're talking to an actual human being. Unbelievable.

I am current trying to call dollar but they are so busy as experienced that when I stood in line for hour and a half. I don’t know who is responsible here but I feel like I have been cheated. I will never be using Priceline or dollar rental ever again. That is purely bad business practices.

They forwarded the hotel a 2 night reservation but charged me for the 9 night booking. sent them my bank statement and showed the hotel my bank statement. The hotel allowed me a nighs grace for Priceline to rectify the issue - but they continued to say it takes 5 business days to review and couldn't do anything, forcing the hotel to check me out, without a place to stay and with my money still with Priceline.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A negative 5 star review I would do this! Back in the beginning of March I had booked a trip to Florida and had to cancel the hotel accommodations. As of today (5/31) this is the 10th time I have been in contact with the company because I have not received my refund. Throughout these contacts I have been hung up on twice (I never have used any profanity or any foul language to warrant this). 3 different times I have been told that my refund was being processed and that the supporting documentation from the bank and proof of charge was validated.

Now today I was told that they needed additional documentation because they cannot verify that property used this transaction type. AFTER 10 contacts (actually 13 if you count the hangups and callbacks) and almost 3 MONTHS of trying to work with them they have shown NO possible support. The continual run arounds, "we need more time", "we cannot contact the property", etc list of excuses shows nothing more than them trying to STEAL money from me. I WILL NOT DO ANY MORE BUSINESS with a dishonest company who DOES NOT CARE/SUPPORT their customers.

Dear Priceline and National Car Rental Company. Hi! I am writing this message because I was not able to receive my full refund from express deal from Priceline. Even though the policy stated that it is non-refundable. However, I booked the reservation via my mobile phone and I could not see the notice of the non-refundable policy that this booking cannot make a cancellation. Once I filled up the payment forms, my reservation was locked to get the mid-size SUV cars. So I contacted to customer service for Priceline, the staffs still insisted that the reservation was under the policy and could not get refund from cancellation.

The second issue is the car company that I went to today for the customer service, I did not know that renting car from National needs to make a security deposit for $400 with credit card. And I cannot use debit card unless I have a round trip flight. I don’t have my credit card with that payment $400. So I could not rent the car for the whole process that I have been making reservation for. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life from booking a rental car from Priceline and poor service for communication at National car rental company. I wish you’d never have some kinds of my experience as I do.

After booking my flight months in advance my family of 6 shows up to the airport in New Orleans. We were in the middle of the line. By the time it was our turn the lady at the gate says Silver downsize the plane and there was no more room! So they spent 2 hours trying to find a flight. It was approaching night time and something had to happen soon. We had a cruise to catch the next morning in Jacksonville. The flights they found were 20 hours with layovers. We could not do that because we would miss the cruise and I would be out $7000 dollars, So the lady said she can get us to Tampa and we could rent a car and silver would reimburse us. Well silver won’t answer calls nor return emails. Nevertheless we paid for a flight we didn’t receive.

I didn’t not pay for a red eye flight to Tampa so my family could rent a car at 1am to drive to Jacksonville so we could make our cruise just hours later. Yes we arrived at 5am in Jacksonville. Now tell me is this, the kind of company that deserves your business? The people behind us were pretty passed too. So don’t make the mistake we made. Use someone else! Priceline won’t honor nothing nor will Silver Airways.

I purchased a package (Flight/Hotel) together so I’d be seamless as always. My hotel was located in Freeport Grand Bahama Island BUT my flight landed in Nassau (BIG ISSUE). This isn’t even remotely close! It’s a 45 min additional Flight that has to be booked when you find out there is no connecting flights booked with Priceline, which cost myself and my husband and additional $500.00 plus AIRBNB cost for $300.00 so we have somewhere to stay in Nassau. I called Priceline 4 times and was told there’s nothing they can do and to READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Never will book through Priceline/Booking. They could at least help look for connecting flights. MONEY DRIVEN COMPANY! Why would I purchase a trip that doesn’t even get me to my destination. I wouldn’t!!! No compensation whatsoever! Never again!

We used Priceline to book a hotel room at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Nampa. We paid $163.14 and arrived to check-in just after 3pm. After we got to the room we went to use the restroom before leaving to our event and realized there was no bathroom door. We went to the lobby to notify the hotel clerk and use the restroom in the lobby. There was no restroom in the lobby, or anywhere but our room, for our use. The clerk informed us the room wasn't supposed to be booked for that reason and was marked off on their side to not book, but apparently not through Priceline. She said there were no other rooms available, but her son who works there would look for some doors of different sizes in their storage area, he would then see which one fits the room when we get back from our event.

Upon returning about 8pm she informed us he was going to Home Depot to get a door because he had no luck locating one that would fit. We left again to eat dinner. We were told he would get the door from home depot for when we returned to put on. When we returned to stay in the room for the night there still wasn't a door. We discussed with the clerk that it was already almost 10pm and didn't look like a door would be getting placed on our restroom for us to stay and use the room. We told her we would rather just get a refund and find a different hotel to house us since none of us could use the bathroom or shower in privacy without a bathroom door. She told us she wasn't authorized to give us a refund, but she would have the manager do it on Monday to call and talk to Rachel.

We then got online and found a room along the route home 2 hours away and reserved it through a different hotel chain. We got there exhausted and frustrated just after midnight to get to bed. Monday came and went with no call from Rachel and no refund. Tuesday we called and were told Rachel wasn't in when we explained the situation to the desk clerk, but she said she would have her call me back when she returned from picking stuff up for the hotel. About 3-4 hours later I called again to see if Rachel was back. The clerk informed me she was not back, but she had messaged her and Rachel authorized her to give us a 25% refund on the room. I told her I would need to speak to Rachel about getting a full refund since we weren't able to stay in the room and had to pay for a different hotel room to house us instead. She informed me Rachel wouldn't be in the rest of the day and I could call her tomorrow.

I asked her to give her my phone number and name and to please have her call me ASAP. I got the feeling nobody was going to call me back as they acted like they didn't care. I contacted Priceline about the issue and they called the hotel and were told we could only get a 25% refund. They were told we used the room. I informed them we indeed did not and had to pay for a different hotel that night and I could provide proof. They said they had to respect the policies of the hotel which state any cancellation received within 1 day prior to arrival date will incur the first night charge and failure to arrive at your hotel or property will be treated as a no show and will incur the first night charge. Those policies in no way support them taking our money and not providing us the room we booked, or any other room with a door on the bathroom.

We gave them from 3pm-10pm to remedy the situation so we could stay there, had to travel late, and had to pay again for another hotel, but they will not refund us more than a 25% refund. They should have said that room wasn't supposed to be booked and isn't available for use, apologized, and refunded us at the very beginning. If they would have been honest in the beginning we would have had all day to find another location and not deal with all the run around then have to pay more to stay somewhere else in the end anyways. It was completely dishonest and the worst customer service. They wouldn't be booking that room out to anybody else, but would steal our money and give us a big run around and headache over it.

Priceline provided no way to remedy the situation either and said if we opened a dispute with the credit card company or small claims they would no longer be able to issue us the 25% refund. Both places deserve 0 starts for their customer service and Super 8 for their dishonesty and theft. We have contacted the manager above the property manager and are hoping they will realize what their property manager has done to us and will make it right. But I will recommend to whoever reads this, all my friends, and my family members at this point to not use Priceline and not book any reservations with the Super 8 by Wyndham.

I usually use a different service. Wanted to give Priceline a try. TOTAL NIGHTMARE! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! The rep booked the wrong room on the initial first call. They have the recordings where I said ocean front and he agreed that is what I was getting. No! Ended up getting ocean view on the side of the building. This is a hotel that we visit often and I requested this specific hotel. Called Priceline after receiving a confirmation email and realized he booked me the wrong room after repeating several different time that I wanted ocean front, I was trying to get it fixed for 4 days before my reservation. All reps told me to wait.. it’s a waiting game. That they have to review the case.

On the day before the reservation they finally escalated the case and sent it to higher management. Called again to see what they were going to do about them booking a different room than what I agreed upon. No answers. You will just have to wait. By this time I was livid! It was the day before the reservation and no answers on what they were going to do about it or even reimburse me partially. They said, "Oh I’m so sorry this happened. Let’s see what we can do." Then said, "Unfortunately they’re still reviewing the case, wait longer!"

So the day of the reservation on the way there I called Priceline again! Now mind you I have been speaking with supervisors this whole time. Every day, multiple times a day. The morning of reservation I speak with supervisor. Pretty much the same result but she says let’s escalate this even more that she will give me a call in 10 minutes. Never received. Call. So when we arrived at hotel I refused to walk in so I wouldn’t be charged for the room. Hotel management was great by the way. I called Priceline yet again after not receiving any call. Mind you this is 4pm checkin time, and I spoke with the last rep at 11am. I spoke with Priceline management again! They pretty much said that they were going to call the hotel to see if they had any room availability for the one I initially thought I was buying. I told them that they do not that I have already spoken with the hotel. This is exactly what I said was going to happen. Keep waiting until last minute there will be no rooms. This was at bike week time too. Priceline said we will call you back in an hour tops with a resolution.

At this time both me and my husband were so aggravated and furious. I said, "No! Y’all need to make the person who booked this room accountable for selling me the wrong one!" In the meantime since we’re here, we’re going to enjoy our time and deal with this when we get back home. At this point I knew there was no resolution. Husband and I only had a night away from kiddos. And we weren’t going to let Priceline totally ruin this for us. But Priceline is a joke. They tell you what you want to hear and a lot of waiting and no resolution. The last rep seemed so relieved that I was just going to wing it. Like okay enjoy your stay! He had to regrets in them screwing us over. Had no care in the world.

I will never use them. I didn’t know that they had 96% ONE STAR RATING! They need to be shut down. THEY DO NOT CARE! I will start booking from the hotel or the other unsaid travel business I use. Still have not received any compensation for us going through that. If I do it better not be a discount on a next stay through them because THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME WITH PRICELINE. THEY LIED TOO MUCH TO ME.

Never mind the fact our hotel caught fire 3 hours into our stay at around 7:00 PM and we fled, never to return, and were charged anyway despite Red Lion customer service promising we would not, since we didn't get to stay at all. The issue with Priceline is we had a promised rate of $81 total for the night. Upon arrival, the Red Garter had us booked in a smoking suite instead of the non-smoking room we requested, and charged $193.03 to our card as some kind of insurance against damages during our stay.

After returning home, which we did without even staying at the scummy slum of a hotel that caught on fire and ruined our vacation, the $193.03 hold on our account dropped off and we ended up being charged $93.03, despite Red Lion's promise not to charge for a stay we did not even have, which is $12.03 more than the $81 Priceline quoted. So, as for Priceline, there is no reason whatsoever to go through Priceline for any kind of savings or guarantee, at all. Skip Priceline and reserve with your hotel directly or through a better service. And do not stay at the Red Garter and possibly any hotel owned by the Red Lion chain as their word means absolutely nothing. We hope Priceline goes out of business. In the beginning they give you great deals but that is just to lure you in. Now that I have reached Platinum Status it's like they know they got you and it's been quite insulting. All the perks they claim you get with each level seem to disappear when you get to Platinum. I booked hotels only to be told at check in that the debit card Priceline used was declined or had insufficient funds and was so embarrassed by how rude the customer service reps were to the front desk clerk. Here I had already paid for the hotel and had to pay again just to get into my room. Ruins the whole night when you spend most of it on hold being given the runaround by a surly teenager who could give a crap less about the customers.

One time I could let slide. But oh no. It's been an issue with them. Repeatedly. Sure I get a refund but never should have happened. And I'm paying for that. The room was cheaper than what I paid thru Priceline. Trust me. It's not worth the embarrassment, hours on hold while you're supposed to be enjoying yourself.... or the service fee. I have to admit though that it's a hit and miss with what kind of hotel you get. My best advice....read the reviews on the hotel before booking. Some of my stays were so bad it was comical. It literally couldn't have gotten worse but oh yeah it did. Unbelievable. So bad all I could do was laugh.

I said, "Excuse me but I couldn’t get on the flight. I didn’t have a passport." Priceline said they received the letter from doctor and they could not do anything for a medical emergency. So I am out $1100.00 dollars now. They will not refund at all. They stoled money as far as I am concerned. It is a rip-off company! Who can help me get my money back?

Worst experience! It took over 3 hours to get a car. Priceline books cars and doesn’t hold vendors accountable. Dollar Rent A Car had 2 staff working for 200 customers in line. We got in line at 11:30 pm and at 12:30 there were still 100 in line. Dollar is by far the worst company, similar experience last year in Savannah, GA.

My mom and I booked a trip (1 of 3 over the past year, this was our third time booking) with Priceline and they put my last name for my mom's last name. I did not notice this issue until I went to check us in for our flight because we booked successfully the past two times with my account/profile and didn't think to check for something like that. When I called to correct this they said they couldn't do that and had to transfer me to the airline to handle it. Earlier in this same week, I wanted to cancel the reservation for the rental car but they said because it was an "Express Deal" I could not cancel it which I do not recall being mentioned anywhere when I made the booking. Thus I will never use Priceline again.

Within about a week I provided proof that the airline was refunding what Priceline paid them. Now after calling for 6 months every 7 to 10 business days they have still not settled this refund for services not provided. Every time it gets urgently escalated to the Accounting Department without resolution or calling back, essentially ghosting me. I would never order services through Priceline again. Their “Customer Service” is the worst I have received in 64 year of my life. They don’t care about their customers. To this day I am waiting for their proper refund settlement, the amount I paid for seats that I was refused at boarding, evidently sold to a higher bidder. Just looking for a refund for what I paid for, and didn’t receive.

I sent in my claim form within the 24 hours time frame they gave, shortly after I received two emails from the Priceline Department stating I was approved and that refund would be processed and posted back to my card within 3 to 5 business days. The email stated I would be refunded 200% of the difference. I called at least 10x to follow up. Spoke to CS representatives who stated that Department was working on it and would contact me by email within 7 days. There were instances when I would call and get different information depending on whatever. They would just make up reasons not to refund me when it was already approved.

One lady said, "Oh you didn't submit it in the time frame offered," then there was, "You are not a Priceline member," and which I am and the third most famous one was, "Oh that was not the same room". Everything I did I checked over 3X. I sent all the info in regarding the same exact room and did everything within hours of booking this trip. Priceline advertises offers which they do not honor. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT USE Priceline for ANY travel accommodations. Their customer service does not have a care in the world about their customers. We had a HORRIBLE experience yesterday that costed my friends and I $1,400 over something THEY did: My friends and I had a round trip flight booked, with layovers, from New York to Pensacola, FL. We got a notification that our connecting flight of Orlando to Pensacola was going to depart earlier now, making it impossible to make the flight after landing in Orlando.

We called Priceline customer service and SPECIFICALLY mentioned that the ONLY flight that either needs to be changed or cancelled was the flight from ORLANDO to PENSACOLA. The guy said, "Sure. No problem." After getting back on the line, he tells us that he CANCELLED the ENTIRE trip. We immediately said to him that that was NOT what we said, and then he proceeds to tell us that they were not able to cancel a specific flight, but only the whole trip. So WITHOUT WARNING US he cancelled the whole trip.

During the remainder of the three hour conversation, the representative as well as the supervisor had absolutely NO care and no help. 1) They could not rebook everything for us although it was only seconds since he cancelled the trip. 2) They did not want to provide us with ANY compensation for their mistake. 3) If they wanted us to rebook everything, WE would have had to pay the difference from the original total price which was in the thousands more. 4) They said the airline is not able to do anything. Basically, they said they don't care, you have to spend more to rebook everything and it's not their problem. My friends and I ended up getting the refund from the cancellation and had to rebook all of our flights which costed us a net amount of $1,400 MORE. TERRIBLE, IMCOMPETENT, CARELESS customer service. We will NEVER be using Priceline again. They were FIGHTING with us over THEIR mistake

This elevated the cost of the vehicle to nearly 70 a day. Combined with the 250 deposit the $200 rental I booked jumped to a thousand. I declined and contacted Priceline only to be told 'too bad'. The customer service at Priceline was atrocious. The so called supervisors constantly tried to dismiss my frustration and me. Priceline has a systematic way of scamming travelers. I will never use this website and make sure tell all my friends and family to refrain from booking through them. Until now in every trip they would scam by cheating in smaller ways by hiding behind fine print. In a trip to Orlando, we booked the entire hotel, air tickets and car rental. They claimed that the rental car was availbale from airport. Considering we were landing mid night. We made sure that's what it had. However once we reached Orlando, we were told that car rental company is away and there is a shuttle to get the car. So after landing mid night, we had to wait for over an hour to get a ride to the rental car pick up place.

After we to the rental car place which looked like car theft hub. We were made to wait in line for over 2 hours for us to get the car. When we called Priceline to give us another car rental they let’s transferring us to various department and agents with no answer. This was pure scamming when they especially claim on the reservation that car rental is from airport and it is not.

A very recent incident that happens is we booked 2 rooms for 1 night in AC Caesar’s Palace. When we got to the hotel to check in, the hotel staff informed us that we only had 1 room booked and not 2. So we called Priceline, they put us on hold to check on what happened to reservation for 45 mins. After the agent came back, he said their wholesaler had system error and that it will take another 30 mins for them to send the 2nd room confirmation. When I said why would it take 30 Mins for them send a simple email. The agent got irritated and said I should not ask him a question as he does not have answer. When I asked him to cancel and process refund, he said he cannot guarantee full refund. This is pure SCAMMING.

While all this was going on the hotel staff informed us that this is very typical of priceline. They were hoping for us to give up out of frustration. So we would book the 2nd room ourself and priceline will take the money as no show. This is one of the many scabrous that have designed to keep customers money and not give them the service. The Caesar palace staff was extremely nice and she gave us 2nd room as she knew were there to celebrate our parents' anniversary. Our 71+ parents were terrified and sitting in stress as what was going on.

Previously I only suspected Priceline of scamming but in recent trips it’s very apparent that Priceline takes advantage of system issues and fine print and scams all travelers. They are very smart about it as they do these gimmicks at small and and large level randomly to very few customers so that there is no trend to sue. I strongly urge the Consumer Affairs to audit Priceline and their vendors as they are getting more aggressive and frequent with these scams. A middle class person saves money and wants to spend quality time with family. They don’t want a palace or butler but at least give them the service they paid for.

Ok we all know hotels have a deposit in this day in age so I know to look thru all the fine print to find this information as I found out the hard way on my first trip thru Priceline I get to hotel that I all ready paid for thru price line to find a 100.00 deposit which Priceline did not include this information on the price breaker you don't know what hotel until you pay so besides this now I know better correct

Ok now here's the problem I paid for three nights at the La Quinta in Columbus Indiana it was me, my better half and our 16 year old son who eats our house everyday as he should and he's a straight A student. I don't play. We are honest, pay it forward and act right type of people. Well so I made sure thru the fine print of said deposit and it clearly said 50.00 dollars. After 10 minutes of looking just to find this info well that left us 200.00 for food and what not for 3 days. We'll we get there and I'm hit with a 200.00 CASH deposit and as Priceline makes sure in bold to let you know there no refunds. The manager at the la quinta just kept repeating herself. I don't care. You can either pay the 200.00, leave or go to jail so with no refunds.

I gave every dime I had so now we only had breakfast for the three days that was included with the hotel stay. So I hand her the money, she hands it over to another employee and goes home as she kept complaining it was her time to go home and she was in fact the hotel manager. She was so rude but as I had absolutely no options but to bite my tongue, say nothing else and give the money as our son was with us. Now the rest of the hotel was on other then the maids being loud at 5:00 am talking banging doors while cleaning the rooms and doing laundry, no respect for any customers. Everything else was up to par.

Now after trip I called priceline and explain the situation. I wasn't expecting anything. Just wanted to let them know. Well I was told I was going to get my trip money back. It was promised. I was told I had to give up to 30 days for the hotel to respond to the complaint and I made this complaint March 10th 2023. So time goes by and 8 call Priceline back and I was told again I was getting my money's back. Once again I had to wait and then a third phone call and I'm told same thing so I asked for a email with confirmation to what I was told. I will get one as soon as I'm off the phone. Well I did in fact get a email but it had no confirmation of their false/straight lies. It was for 10% off my next stay. Are you serious?

So here we are May 13th 2023, no compensation of any type, only 10% off my next stay which DID NOT WORK. LOL and then I find out Priceline actually add money to the taxes and fees for their services. So I paid and Priceline does NOT back their customers and they do NOT back what they promise and as they're taking my money adding trips, I have 21 of them, I have not received one free night, only 5% and 10% off which none of them have ever worked. It's always a restriction of some type. SO BUYER BEWARE. YOU'RE PAYING PRICELINE A FEE EVERY SINGLE TIME and if something goes wrong they promise you things to get you off the phone. I'm as honest as they get!!!!

I have used Priceline to book flights, hotels, and rental cars for years without issues until today's hotel reservations. It was always a delight using Express Deals because they are normally lower in price in exchange for not revealing the name of the hotel until the reservation is paid for. Today, I did just that. I booked a hotel in San Bernardino using express deals for $151 a room/day. When completed, the name of the hotel was revealed and, to my dismay, the hotel is advertised on the same website for $121 a night (exact same room features). I called Priceline to get a resolution. 2 customer service personnel later there is still no resolution. They make it seem like there is nothing we can do. The first person said that I will receive a phone call from his supervisor.

2 hours later and still no phone call, I had to call customer service again and I got exact same story. Jake (customer service) said that I should expect a phone call directly from his supervisor in a few minutes. I finished writing this review and I still did not get a phone call. This is the worst customer service I have experienced with Priceline. I will not use Priceline again. It is sad to see Priceline go from a 5 star to 1 star.

I have used Priceline for years without a problem... until now. I chose their deal, they choose the hotel after you select your package. When they sent the hotel information, I googled it... ALL of the reviews mentioned the cockroach problem, drug dealers in the parking lot, and the doors not locking correctly. One review even showed pictures of blood on the shower curtain and the sheets. When I contacted priceline (6 times) and told them the situation, every one of them told me there was nothing they could do. They said that they absolutely would not give me a refund even if it was not safe. When I called for the 7th time the person was amazing and understanding and refunded my money. I just could not believe they would expect me to stay alone in such an unsafe and disgusting Place!

I booked my hotel through Priceline 3 months in advance. Upon arriving I was informed they were overbooked. They said they would try and find a hotel. They did find me a hotel, but it was in a very unsafe area for a female to stay alone. I was in town for an event and would be arriving back at the hotel late. The parking lot late at night was a little scary and I don't scare easily. My room was on the end next to the exterior door which was purposely left wide open all night. Needless to say, I was not well rested for my events the following day. I slept with my car keys, planning a quick exit through the window should something happen. Instead of a safe stay in a nice hotel at the Courtyard in a safe area of town, I was booked into a sketchy hotel in a scary neighborhood. It was a busy weekend in town and this was my only option.

Priceline then proceeded to continually claim that I was the one who cancelled my non-refundable reservation. It took 5 phone calls (which unfortunately had to get less friendly) to make them somewhat admit that I didn't cancel it. I will never book with them or their sister company booking.com again as I now know that their customer service is non existent. Just book straight the the hotel, it is a little more expensive sometimes, but much better.

Original reservation had their computer continually change the dates I required. When it looked like the problem was solved I completed the booking. Upon checking the confirmation I found that the dates were wrong again. I followed up with the Priceline people right away and was told to contact the hotel. The hotel, surprised, said it wasn't their issue since the booking was with Priceline and they took the payment. Back to Priceline I go and a different operator said that all that needed to be done was to create a new ticket which he did and I received with a confirmation of the correct date.

When I arrive at the hotel 10 days later, after a 10 hour drive, the hotel does not have the confirmation. Apparently it only went to me. After some preliminary discussions with the hotel I was able to get a room at a walk-up rate (almost double the Priceline rate) and then went back and forth for two hours between Priceline, Booking.com and the hotel with no resolution. They play the shell game (Google it) very well. Lots of very earnest appreciation for my situation and promises that the matter "will be looked into and sorted out". It's been six days since the incident and nothing 'crickets' from Priceline and their parent Booking.com. I was a first time user of the service and it will be the last. Terrible customer service!! I have a receipt but don't know how to input it into the system. I'm 71 years old and the technology can be difficult.

I got an email from American Airlines after a couple of days that they had refunded my money back to the card I used. I called Priceline and asked about it and they said that AA only gave credits. I called American Airlines and they said they gave me a full refund back to the card I used which is the Affirm. And now I got an email from Priceline saying that they only giving me credit to use for future travel. How can Priceline take money from a mother grieving the loss of her son? After I told them we are not planning to travel as I am still grieving and having a hard time accepting that my son is gone. If only I can give them -5 I would but there is no option for that here.

I booked an Express Deal through Priceline which did NOT disclose the name of the hotel I would be staying at ahead of time. Other Express Deals I looked at included resort fees in the total but the one I purchased did not. This is the reason I booked it! Otherwise, I would have waited or purchased a resort stay with Disney directly since pricing would have been the same!

When I arrived at the resort, I was notified of the resort fees and had to pay to them because they said Priceline did not pay the resort fees to them. $344.25. I have spoken with Priceline 6 times and have been told they need to get resolution from their business partner, Agoda. I was also told by several customer service team members that I shouldn't have to pay resort fees, because the contact I had with Priceline said the total I paid included everything and I have ascreen shot conversation to prove it.

I have spent 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 26 seconds on the phone with Priceline over 3 weeks trying to get resolution. Some of that time was while I was supposed to be relaxing ON VACATION. I have been hung up on. I have been told I am wrong and that resort fees were disclosed, despite providing my itinerary and sample booking screenshots. I have been told someone will call me back and no one ever does. I have been told the situation will be escalated and every time I call, the case is in the SAME condition it was previously.

As a business, Priceline needs to resolve their customer's issue and THEN deal with their "business partner" on the back end. It isn't MY fault there is an issue with their business partner. When I called the hotel, everything is under Priceline as well, nothing to do with Agoda. I want the resort fees refunded ($344.25) and honestly, additional money refunded to cover my time on vacation as well as after trying to get this resolved.

I'm sad to report that the first (and last) experience I recently had with Priceline was a terrible one. I am traveling for a work-related convention this July 11th, 2023, and was told by my CEO to be present until Saturday, July 15th (not the 14th, as I initially believed). I booked a hotel through Priceline, only to hear two hours later that I would, in fact, NOT need a hotel room on the night of the 14th, because the convention was ending that day (not the 15th). Therefore, an additional night in a hotel room was not needed.

I immediately (within two hours of booking the hotel room) attempted to cancel the room through Priceline both via email and by speaking with a live customer service representative. After over an hour and a half of attempting to tell the representative that I no longer needed accommodation, they simply said, "Non-refundable booking, cannot be changed, can't be cancelled." I repeatedly asked why, and asked if there was the possibility to move the booking to a later date/time when I would actually be able to USE the room (as opposed to giving Priceline $175 for NOTHING), to which the rep repeatedly said no (with poor grammar to boot).

I felt no sincerity in the representative's actions or words, despite the fact I had just booked the room two hours prior. They did not give me any option other than "eat the cost." I continued to ask if I would be charged resort fees for not showing up, or if they would just take the fully charged $129, to at least save me $45. The representative never answered my question. I asked her if I could call the hotel and ask for a refund (as I write this, it STILL has not been 24 hours since booking), and she did not answer that question either. She simply sent me an email showing the booking itinerary. Again, poor grammar, questions not answered, no empathy for essentially extorting me out of $175.

If all online travel agencies are like this, I hope, for all of our sakes, that there is a much needed change in the industry. How can a company not offer a refund for a hotel booking that was unintentionally made, especially if it is within 24 hours of booking? And no care for the customer from the customer service representatives. No wiggle room with moving the booking to another date. Just taking my $175 in the blink of an eye. Still cannot believe this.

I previously heard good things about Priceline for booking inexpensive hotels. Now I see why. They probably earn a FORTUNE conning people out of their money. Please be careful when booking hotels, as the FINE print says you will NOT be refunded, even if you have a valid reason, and even if the cancellation request is made within 24 hours. Shame on you, Priceline :(

These travel agency companies are falsely advertising discounted rates for members. Discounted rates for VIP members but in all actuality they are falsely advertising. They are racking up the rates and then saying they're going to give you 10 15% discount on your next booking but that's because they racked up the rates. I've been booking hotels, motels for the past month. Been traveling and I went to use my husband's phone because it said a specific price on a hotel and then when I clicked on it the price would change and then when I sign in the price would change but when I did it from my husband's phone I got the price that I searched it for. Paid it for that price.

When I called the company to ask them what was going on and that why am I having to pay a higher price when I can purchase at the price that's showing on my screen on my husband's phone, both customer service rep and supervisor both lied on the phone stating that they couldn't get the deal at that rate but I told them I had taken screenshots, videotaped it and I booked it on my husband's phone for that price. But they told me on the phone they couldn't get it for that price. But yet I'm a VIP member. I'm supposed to get special rates and discounts and the best price guaranteed. I told her that I would go book from someone else's phone at the motel I was at. She said go ahead. I'd be wary of all these companies that state certain prices when you become a member. They're actually charging you more and gorging you out of more money because they track your IP address.

Our AirBNB canceled and even though the airport was closed, American Airline and United (that is how they booked us) did not cancel, therefore they would not refund our money, but gave us a credit, mind you with a certain percentage off.

Well now I am looking to reschedule a trip (not to the same location) using my credit. Mind you, I had two credits, one with AA and one with United.. I tried the refund process again but they didn't budge nor would they extend the expiration date of the credit. We needed to go through Priceline again... they got my flight home settled but when it came to AA and my credit going to Florida, it took them 1 hour and 25 minutes to finally tell me that they couldn't get the reservation to go through they kept getting a failure message... Then after all that they told me I needed to go through American to complete the booking.

Now AA completed the reservation in 15 minutes and I was set. BUT because I had to go through AA directly they charged me an extra $50. and I had a 98.00 credit but they couldn't use that. On my other flight United, I was $50 over and they couldn't take it out of the other credit. It was the most convoluted mess, If Priceline put me on hold once they put me on hold 15 times. This is the worst mistake I have made in booking a trip. They pull you in by saying you can save money on a bundle, and no fees or little fees. If you have to cancel or change your trip you get mostly none to very little back. And even if the car company is willing to give you your money back or the airline company, they do not want to honor that. They tell you they will send an email to the company that promised you they would refund the money, And it could take within several days to your travel date before you hear back. I was literally transferred 4 times, and still to the wrong person to handle the car rental refund as each department handles something separate. The wait time was 15 minutes!

Your itinerary they sent you says to contact the companies directly to make any cancel or change plans. Then those companies tell you to call Priceline back and make them aware that you have changed or cancelled and they will process the refunds. Then an hour later priceline could still not see that I had canceled my Delta flight even though I had email confirmations immediately from Delta when I was on the Phone with them with my e ticket credits confirmation the hour before. Priceline is a scam -- DO NOT USE. I booked a rental car using Priceline, initially happy that the cited price was moderately lower than the car companies themselves offered. However, what they don't tell you is the Priceline quote is not the rental fee. The rental company charges you as well, and I ended up paying almost twice Priceline's phone "estimated total." This is outright fraud.

Three days later after about 8 calls and 8 email correspondences with booking.com the sister company I’m still trying to get help with price match. When I brought this to Priceline's attention they told me that they booked this through another site and I would have to contact that company to resolve the issue. I never did business with this other company and I don’t see how Priceline thinks it’s okay the push the responsibility of their website on to their customers and other companies they may use to assist with their business.

They took no responsibility or actions to correct the issue. I will just deal with the other booking company if I have to deal with them to correct issues that occur. Why would I give Priceline any of the profits if they’re not doing anything for it??? Please keep in mind I am a so called “VIP Platinum” member with around 70 trips booked in the past year. No gratitude was shown for my continued business and this is not the first issue I have had with Priceline but the most bothersome.

I booked a package and received three flights, a three-person car ride, etc. But the hotel was only for two people. This makes absolutely no sense. Priceline customer service deflects, saying it's my fault for not choosing a 3-person hotel room. How did I book a 3-person package and only a two-person hotel room was included? The star rating is because it’s needed in order to proceed not because it was deserved at all. I booked a trip to Miami in November 2022 through Priceline. It consisted of Flights, Hotel and Car Rental. For April 2023. My flight was delayed and when I arrived to the airport and called for my car rental they were closed and did not open until 3 hours later. The car rental company is Fox Car Rent, another horrible service. I had to pay for a cab to take us to the hotel. Then had to take an Uber to Fox Car Rental for them to tell me they had no cars available and I had to contact Priceline. I then contacted Priceline for them to tell me that their policy is to email the car rental for them to confirm that we did not get the vehicle for them to process my refund, which would take 5 business days. If I didn’t have anything else I would have been stuck and stranded. This is how Priceline takes care of their customers.

Upon receipt, I was informed that I was staying at the Kalama Hotel, which they listed as a 4 star rating…but they list the same exact hotel, under the name OYO hotel, for under $50 and give it only 2 stars…so they have one hotel with two names and ratings…and when I called to speak to a representative, the person told me that it was on me, and didn't offer any explanation as two why they have one property listed under different names. I booked a vacation through Priceline. I selected a flight to Virginia and three hotels. Every time I tried to click on a flight time it would tell me I was too slow and the flight was all sold out. This happened 20-25 times! Finally I checked a box that said I was ok to have one stop. I got a flight. I also booked a car rental. When I checked my reservation a few days later I found I had no car at all and the flight was to a totally different state! The return flight was from a third state! I called and talked to about four different agents and supervisors. I was charged $400 to cancel the flights.

I was told the hotels were nonrefundable even though the whole situation was their fault. The agent said he would email the hotels to find out if they would be willing to refund and they would be back in touch with me. There was one hotel that he said was booked with their "partner" booking.com so I would have to call them. I called them and they said they had no money from Priceline and that I could cancel with no fee. I was also told a manager from Priceline would contact me within 3 days to discuss the issue of the fee for cancelling the flights.

Ten days later I had absolutely no communication from them. I logged back on and my entire trip was still booked. I called and it was like I had never called before. Nothing had been done. The agent tried to tell me that all of the hotel money over $400 was with the one hotel through booking.com even though that hotel was for one night and the price on Priceline was advertised as $125. I finally got a decent supervisor who now claims that she called the other two hotels (in three minutes) and was able to get a refund which I am supposed to receive in a few business days. We'll see! When I received the hotel I immediately went to the site and also to Yelp for reviews. On the site I noticed how outdated the rooms and the halls were, but no big deal. When I read reviews on Yelp it painted a completely different picture of the establishment. Complaints were mainly about customer service, desk attendants, the upkeep of the room, with pictures of proof, and finally, ROACHES! The reviews were all pretty recent.

When I reached out to Priceline I was informed that they simply would not offer a refund, and they would hope that I have a different experience from the customers who left the bad reviews. While I understand contracts, I do believe advertising a hotel with roaches should not be considered as 4 stars. Ultimately Priceline has some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I told them the price was the same as I was billed for two full days. Again, nothing they would do. Now I must reserve a second reservation for just 5 hours and pay for an extra day. So while trying to save $35, I spent an additional $120—my first and last Priceline experience.

They helped me with the Hilton to correct my first name with no problems. This wasn't a big deal because my initials actually are correct but my first name, middle initial, and last name show on the card and I wanted to avoid any issues at the front desk. Thank you Eric for helping me, employee #** you helped me with this one!

This was my first (and will be only) time using Priceline. My family had a vacation planned months in advance to go to the South West and after a long day of travel, we were ready to pick up our vehicle and get started on the last leg of our journey. When I booked, I used my credit card and listed the driver as my partner (He prefers to drive but doesn't have his own credit card). There were no red flags at the time of booking and so when we got to the rental counter, we were told that they couldn't release the vehicle to us because I prepaid for the rental and the card and the drivers names didn't match. The kind woman at the counter suggested calling Priceline and explaining the situation and asking to cancel the current booking and rebook the exact same thing but with myself as the driver.

First off, it was near impossible to get in touch with the company. I couldn't find any phone number and the one link I found to call them didn't actually display a number but just opened up my phone app and displayed 5 digits.... Ok... Can't call with only 5 numbers so next I tried the live chat/text option. They weren't able to do anything because it was too complicated of an issue for that platform, which, ok fine, give me a phone number. I finally got a phone number and even though the automated message said the wait time was 0 minutes, I waited on hold for almost 5.

The woman I spoke to was kind enough and I know it wasn't *her fault, but she insisted there was nothing they could do right then. The process for cancelling and rebooking actually consisted of them emailing the rental company to confirm that we didn't pick up the vehicle and that could take up to 5 days. Until they got that confirmation, they couldn't do anything for me. We were on vacation for 5 days, still three and a half hours away from our final destination so this was not acceptable. I told her to cancel the whole thing.

The rental company was really amazing and helpful and even though I ended up paying more than double what I booked for, at least we were able to get on our way. The customer service was as ok as it could have been given the company's ridiculous invisible policies, but I will never book through them again. If they don't disclosure something as simple as 'the name on the card needs to match the name of the reservation' then who knows what else they are trying to hide and be sneaky about. Nope. Never again.

I booked a fully refundable 3 night stay in St George Utah. I needed to reduce the trip to two nights and so I did that online, they made me cancel my original booking and create a new booking. The pricing stayed the same so I thought no big deal, however when I needed to reduce to one night is when the problem started. They failed to mention that this new booking was nonrefundable and I could not change it. I called and talked to several different managers and they all said there was nothing they could do. I WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH THEM AGAIN. Super sneaky move.

When the agent came back to me he told me if I cancelled the reservation I would be out the money I paid or they could try and change the dates. I literally booked it 2 mins ago. You can't cancel. Ok looked it up. Pices through the site were the same for the correct dates. Ok just change the dates then np. Agent comes back and tells me it's 250 more for the new dates. Asked for a supervisor. Tells me that if I cancel will be out the 600 I already paid and that when changing the dates the hotel get to pick the rates so I can pay the additional 250 or lose my 600. Will never use again. Priceline refused my refund. The hotel was nothing like the pics on Priceline. The swimming pool was demolished and you had to walk up the road to get to the beach. I paid for beach access and didn't get it. Priceline is a joke. Priceline and Grand Prix hotel in Daytona beach are false advertising. I think these companies that are booking places for people should have to go to the places and see for themselves what they are booking for people.

I think it's very unfair 'cause it didn't tell us it was canceled. Stayed there but they told us it was canceled so he made a decision somewhere else. They didn't want to listen to me. I got a confirmation email stating the amount that was charged with only the $ sign (no indication of currency). My credit card was not charged until two days later when I could no longer cancel or modify the reservation. When I received the charges on my credit card, it turned out to be in USD. I could not log into Booking.com because they did not send me a confirmation # or a PIN code to access my booking. When I called the customer service numbers provided in the email, I got Priceline.com services. They refused to do any changes. After speaking with many representatives and supervisors, I was sent the contract with Priceline.com. It stated it is in USD; however, I had no access to that information before and after I booked. I had to beg for it.

They lied about amenities at the resort. I had to pay an extra US $250 for a shuttle bus to and from the resort and pay for wifi. The hotel description on the Priceline website included these without any reference to extra charges. Priceline representatives kept giving me different phone numbers and emails to contact to help with my reservation. They all led to the same thing, with the same result. Zero acknowledgment of their misinformation and lies and unfair dealing (no access to my trip information). I will never use Booking.com or Priceline.com again.

Our Spring Break vacation was an horrible experience at Sonesta ES Atlanta GA. We booked this trip back in December. My whole family was excited to go until we got there. We called on our way down to see if we could check in earlier due to we were coming in ahead of time. The lady at the front counter told us we would have to pay an additional $50.00 dollars to check in early. We didn't have an issue with this as we were tired from driving and wanted to get in a relax after being on the road for several hours. The room conditions were abysmal!! The floors were nasty, the curtains and floors had stains, the second room had a soiled towel in the shower and hair in the bottom of the tub. We called down to the front desk and told the lady at the desk about the issues with the room. She stated that she would have someone to come and clean the room and "NO ONE" came to the room at all.

The second day we went down to breakfast and filed another grievance about our accommodations. We were once again told that someone would come and clean the room while we were out exploring the city since they didn't have a lot of rooms to clean that day. We were out for almost six hours and when returned the room was still not cleaned. Day number three I called and asked to speak with the Manager after leaving the manager several messages with the front desk attendants. The manager did not call me back until I threatened to call the companies CEO. She said she could move us to another room. I told her that I have a ruptured disk in my back and contusion bruising in my knee so I couldn't be moving bags and suitcase up and down stairs without help. The manager offered no help in that regard. In fact she tried to flip the situation on us as if we wanted to be in nasty room by saying why did we stay in the room if it wasn't clean.

I stated to her that we were told twice that someone was coming to clean the room. After that conversation she said she would "TRY" and see if she could get someone to come and clean the room. We decided to move to another room when she couldn't guarantee they would come and clean the room. We spent almost (3) days in a room without the trash being pulled, fresh towels or the room being cleaned. The second room they moved us to had bugs in it. At that point we were just ready to go. Also we can furnish pictures of the conditions of both rooms. When we asked for compensation they said they could only refund us for one night. That was so insulting!! I will never book with Sonesta ES again or Priceline.

ON March 8th, 2023, I made the 7 hour drive to Virginia (from upstate New York), located where I was to be the next morning for an appointment, and parked my car to go on my phone and find a nearby hotel to stay in. I put 'hotels near me'. Up high in the list was the Priceline app offering a selection. Briefly, in only a matter of minutes I selected a hotel for that night, using Priceline, that was in my immediate vicinity - The Springhill Suites by Marriott. The lowest sticker price for a room brought my payment with taxes to $186. for the one night I was to be in Virginia. March 8th. The confirmation from Priceline came promptly to my phone, for the 9th of March! The day of my appointment, after which I would be already going home.

Thinking this would be a simple matter, I first called the hotel to let them know I was to stay with them that night. They said they could not change the date - since it was a Priceline reservation. They gave me the phone number for Priceline. I called Priceline. They steadfastly refused to change the date of my stay. I explained repeatedly that I had put the correct date into my request, March 8th.. only to have a reservation return for the following day, March 9th. Priceline told me they would not change the date. (The hotel did have room, that much I had established in my call to the hotel.) Furthermore, Priceline said that since any cancellation of the reservation was within 24 hours of making it, I would be charged the full amount, i.e.. no refund at all.

I can't imagine what would happen to anyone on a strict travel budget. Happily, I was able to book a different hotel for the same night, on Booking.com, whose phone app was not only far clearer and superior in every way to Pricelines.. Booking.com checked the desired reservation date, not once, not twice but THREE TIMES! I booked and stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Alexandria Virginia. I did NOT make an additional reservation at the Marriott, due to understandable disillusionment that neither did the hotel offer the least help with Priceline over the error in the date.

Mind you, the resulting conversations, time stamped on my phone, with both the hotel (twice) and Priceline - took place within minutes of the reservation. From 8:44pm to 9:06 I'd spoken with the 2 organizations 3 times. The Marriott Manager refused to come to the phone. No one gave a damn. If I was someone who'd just spent their budget on a hotel, I'd have had to sleep in my car that night. No matter whose error it was, (Priceline's faulty app), that neither Priceline nor the hotel saw fit to help me in the least to change the reservation date, is abominable. I will patronize neither ever again. My guess is that this sort of thing happens with Priceline; and their response was to be only too happy to keep the full amount of the '$ale' rather than help the client. The silver lining was finding out how well the Booking.com app works. I will leave them a well deserved commendable review.

We booked round-trip flights to Florida for our family vacation via Priceline. We flew Frontier. We purchased two bags when we booked our tickets since it is cheaper to buy online than at the airport. On the day of our flight, we checked in online early, and when we got to the airport to print our luggage tags, it showed that we didn't purchase any bags. My husband tried to contact Priceline. It was just a robot chatting with him, making him dizzy with the automated circling back and forth using AI keywords to address the issue. Nothing was resolved.

When we checked in our bags at the Frontier desk in the airport, the Frontier desk attendant said that our bag purchase was for our flight back from Florida, and we ended up paying $200+ for our two bags. How could Priceline assign the bags we purchased for our flight back? Nothing was even indicated in the printed confirmation that the bags we bought were for our flight back. Personally, I won't use Priceline for any of our future bookings anymore. Unfortunately, we used Priceline to book our car rental on this trip too, which was another nightmare.

I am a platinum VIP Priceline customer. You'd think that would mean something. I stayed in hotels pretty much for an entire year. Here is my issue with Priceline. They do not list the hotel's incidental charges. For someone like me who is on a budget, that is kind of important thing to know. Especially when every hotel operates differently. I stayed at 4star hotels that didn't charge any at all. I stayed at 2.5-3 star that wanted $100 per night.

When Priceline gives you discounted coupons to use on your next reservation, it's always thru their Express deals option. So I'm order to get any discount they force you to go that route. Which would be fine except they choose your hotel, and majority of the time you don't even know the names of the 3 girls they're choosing from. So it makes it impossible to contact the hotel and find out what their incidental fees are. 3 times, I couldn't afford the incidentals and the reservation is non refundable of course and I ended up sleeping in my car, out the $100+ for the room. My question to Priceline is how difficult would it be to contact your accounts and get that information to add to the terms and conditions for that hotel!?!? Doesn't seem that difficult.
