Priceline booked me in a hotel room for $150 a night, for two nights. The room had the air conditioner propped up with random wooden blocks, the door didn't fit the frame correctly and allowed insects and noise to filter through two-inch gap at the bottom, bathroom had mold-stained curtain on both sides, trim was ripped from the walls behind the sink, the bed was high in the middle and low on the sides, the air conditioner spewed out air that reeked of mildew and gave us a headache and two people were smoking ** outside our door.
We had to leave after first night but were forced to pay for both nights at $310 total. Priceline says talk to Booking.com, which issued us a pathetic $25 refund on our $310 bill and said talk to the hotel. The hotel says Priceline charges the card, not them. Priceline is basically hiding behind Booking.com for all responsibility. It isn't a "sister company". It's basically a shield to prevent Priceline from taking any responsibility. Will never go through Priceline or Booking.com for anything again.

When I emailed asking for reimbursement they informed me, I had to contact Booking.com. Don't use this carrier. They don't provide quality of care.

Priceline was a good company we gave business to through the years but this year has proven to have eroded beyond being acceptable. Never again. They are not vetting their vendors, they are allowing misrepresentation to prevail. DFW hotel misrepresented shuttle from airport, turned out I would have to Uber. Priceline refused to step in to negotiate refund. Chase did it. LAX car rental they selected ACE rental car, the worst experience ever. Misrepresented the 2 shuttle transfer which was only an inconvenience but when got there, ACE did not have our car that we paid for? Told us maybe in 3 hours, maybe not. Asked us to leave (I'm a senior), got abusive when I balked. Wound up Ubering 1 hour and 20 minutes from rental place and then back to airport. Priceline refused to credit or negotiate refund. Again, Chase will handle it. Priceline, ACE Car Rental: -1 NEVER AGAIN.

I booked a room 4 months in advance for Dolphin's Cove in Anaheim. I made sure contacted Dolphin's Cove in advance to make sure that my room was booked and received a itinerary two days before I was set to check in. We were traveling to So Cal for my daughter's softball nationals and had a whole vacation planned. The night before we are supposed to leave I receive an email stating that my room was cancelled. The day before leaving for this planned trip my family and I are told that we no longer have a room. I call Priceline and they tell me they can put me in another hotel but the money I had already paid for the room would not be refunded to me for 7 to 12 days. So I would have to come up with $1300 dollars to pay for a new hotel.
First this room was more than what I paid for with my initial booking. I tried speaking to customer service 4 times but the operators didn't want to help and hung up the phone on me. I found a hotel off of the Hilton website but the room we had was for a full week and could only book the room for Hilton within my price range for 5 days and had to cut our trip 2 days short. This was my first and last time using priceline or any other 3rd party booking agency.

I'll write this at the beginning to get my point across. Does of you that want to use Priceline. DON'T. STAY AWAY!!!! Booked a cruise with Priceline. They were more than happy to take my money. We were called week later and 12 days before we were scheduled to depart that they were sold out (I think they overbooked). Called price line to get my money back. They wanted to charge me $100 for canceling a booking that they were sold-out on and still booked, they gave me a chance to booked another cruise line but at double the price (talk about upselling you). Priceline claim we booked the vacation for 2024. If that's was the case why would they call us and say they were sold out. Priceline said they called the cruise line to verify that they called us and basically said we lied about them calling us to cancel.
After over an hour on the phone 3 representatives and one manager name Unisis who did not care about a bad review I was out $100 and $25 fee they charge and now have to wait up to 60 days for my money. Great. There goes my vacation and days I took off work that I'm not getting back THANKS A LOT PRICELINE. Again this company does not care about you. Just how much money they can take out of your pocket. Guess that's why almost 50% (47% to be exact) of customers gave them a one start rating. Well here is a new one for you priceline. ZERO RATING. Hope everyone stays away. You don't deserve to be in business and hope someone reads this and investigates your business practice.

My family of five recently had the unfortunate experience of booking our tickets through Priceline, and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The troubles began when we carefully selected our seats during the booking process, only to find out later that Priceline had failed to secure them in their system. Despite reaching out to them for confirmation, the issue persisted until just two days before our flight when the seats were still missing. Priceline's reassurance was nothing but false hope, and it became clear that they were not capable of delivering on their promises.
As if that wasn't enough, another major issue arose when we contacted Priceline regarding our fifth family member, our child, who had somehow been left off the voucher. Priceline assured us that this wouldn't be a problem, but when we arrived at the hotel, we were shocked to find that our child wasn't on the reservation. The hotel's "solution" was to reverse the voucher and add the third person to our second room, which was completely impractical and inconvenient for our family. The most shocking part was Priceline's refusal to take responsibility for their mistake or offer any meaningful assistance. Instead, they left us to deal with the situation on our own, resulting in an additional out-of-pocket expense of $1300 USD.
Throughout this entire ordeal, dealing with Priceline was an incredibly frustrating and unpleasant experience. Their lack of accountability and failure to address the issues they caused left us feeling like we were on our own to navigate the mess they had created. As a customer, I expected better service and support from a reputable travel booking platform like Priceline, but they fell far short of meeting even the most basic expectations.
In conclusion, I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering Priceline for their travel arrangements. Our family's experience serves as a warning that their customer service and reliability are severely lacking. It's essential to be aware of the potential risks and be prepared to handle any unforeseen problems that may arise if you choose to book through Priceline. Based on our terrible encounter, I cannot recommend using Priceline and would advise exploring alternative options to ensure a smoother and stress-free travel experience for your family.

I rented a hotel room via Priceline in Syracuse Ny for a funeral. I asked for an early check in, they were not able to honor which was not an issue. We were told to come back at 2, check in is at 3. We were back at 2, 2:30, and at 3. At 10 past 3, still no room ready. We went to another hotel, got a room, checked right in. Called Priceline to get money back as our reservation was not met, they tried calling the hotel but not able to reach them, this went on for a week and we were told we should try contacting the hotel. I ended up having to dispute with my credit card company as Priceline would not stand by their customer. Will use Booking.com for now on. Their customer service has always been A+++.

I had a car rental booking with Priceline, at the time of reservation, the booking policy on Priceline website clearly stated that this reservation had unlimited mileage included in the reservation, but on the day of car rental pick up, the rental agency only permitted 200 KM per day mileage on the vehicle. Because of this conflict, I called Priceline to resolve the situation and Priceline associate assured me to go ahead with the pickup and that Priceline will cover any extra charges because of the extra kilometers. After providing Priceline with all the bills and receipts I received a response that Priceline cannot reimburse the additional charges. This kind of practice is misleading to the customer, which first shows that there are no extra charges, and once you plan your whole trip and cannot even cancel it at the last moment charge your customers with extra cost.

They told us through the glass door and he walked away.
We contacted Priceline immediately and confirmed that we did have reservations, but the only actions that they took was they said they would refund us back and they failed to do so still to this day. We are going through the procedure of trying to get our money back. They have failed to provide customer service. Upon arrival, the pool was closed due to "maintenance" The pool has actually been closed for 2 years and there are no updates as when the pool will be repaired. This hotel/Priceline need to take this off as an amenity. When I called Priceline they offered to take off 15%. They said they go through another 3rd party vendor who would not authorize them to take off any more than that. Traveling with small children a pool was a must for us. Priceline is unable to stand by their customers and they put the blame on an additional 3rd party. Disappointing.

I booked a Van rental 3 weeks before my trip. The morning of the rental agency called and stated they would not have that 15 passenger available to pick up at noon as scheduled and no other Vans available that day. Called Priceline to advise them of the issue. The Agent said to see if I can find another Van and they would refund me the cost. I finally found another 15 passenger with Enterprise. My initial booking was for 5 days with Priceline $1345 total. Enterprise stated if I booked for 5 days the cost would be $2130, but stated weekly rate would be $1610. So I booked the weekly rate, but turned the Van in at day 5 as my original dates. Sent my receipt into Priceline and they saying they could not refund the difference because I booked it for a week.
Mind you I only used the Van for 5 days and booking was cheaper to do the weekly rate. I explained that to Priceline and they still refused to refund the difference. Never again will I use them again, one because they can’t guarantee rentals even though it was confirmed and they do not honor their refund difference agreement. Worst experience ever as I had to scramble at the last minute to find a 15 passenger van and Priceline was no help at all.

I booked a rental through Priceline and was quoted 212 with unlimited mileage. But when I got the Easirent I was charged for unlimited local mileage, unlimited out of state mileage and a 500 deposit because I was local. So after almost $900 I was getting on the road to bury my father because I did not have time to go to another rental place. I turned the vehicle in a day early and was told it would still be the same price because they do not reimburse for being their vehicles back early. So I contacted Priceline because they clearly quoted me for unlimited mileage and the agent told me to submit my rental agreement showing I was charged which I did.
I called them back to find out the status. Was told I still could not be reimbursed and that I needed to contact the rental car place and ask them why I was charged. Now after speaking with 5 different agents nothing has been solved. I am frustrated and I booked through Priceline for an easier experience which added to the problem instead of assisting me.

I booked a PriceBreaker deal today for a 3 star hotel. Got matched with one, looked it up online and the place is a dump. All reviews said it was unclean and multiple people posted pictures of bugs. Priceline customer relations told me that since my reservation was nontransferable and nonrefundable, they will do nothing to help me, even though this hotel was supposed to be 3 stars. I don't know how it's possible given the amount of negative 1 star reviews I read. The day before we are going to be returning when I go and check-in to my flight with United, I get a notification that no reservation. I call United to see what is going on. They inform me that the travel company will be able to explain. So, I reached out to Priceline to see what is going on. They claim that I have disputed my flight home. So, I asked them who did they speak with? They say they don’t know. I ask them, "Did you send out a cancellation email or text?" They said they are not sure. I asked them what credit card number. They said, "Not sure."
So, I call my credit card company asking them do they see a dispute on file from United or Priceline and they say, "You have no such activated on your account." So, at this time I have no flight back home and it's 8pm at night. After calling Priceline back and getting hold of a manager by the name of Gendal employee number **. She said that she checked, and Priceline was the one who canceled the flight. So, she instructed me to book any flight home and send over the receipts and they will refund the money.
I asked, "Are you sure I will get my money back?" And she said, "Yes. I have noted everything and our call is being recorded." So, to make the issue easy I went to Priceline and called and worked with account rep Cruz to find flights home for me and my family. At midnight we were able to find flights home that will take us 15 hours to get from Hawaii to Los Angeles for total of $4,800.00. Today I reached out to see what the process is to get my money back they said that, "We are denying your request and you have disputed the original flight home."
Again, I reached out to my credit card company, and they have no records showing anything being disputed or refunded to my account. So now I have spent $5,000 plus on my original package and additional $4,800 for flight home total of almost $10,000. The morning of our flight, we received an email saying that our flight was cancelled and they rebooked us on a flight that would have taken us to Pittsburgh one day and NY the next day and to JFK airport not Laguardia. My experience began before Jane actually. But I would say it was all horrible. Just horrible. In short, I bought a ticket to fly from London to Toronto return. I bought it within the 24 hour cancellation period. This is important because during this period Priceline hold onto your payment in case you cancel. Makes total sense. When I initially called the first operator that dealt with me she explained that during the 24 hour cancellation period the funds are not released to the airline as I could claim the funds because it is during the cancellation period. This made complete sense again. She further explained that the 24 hour period was EST, I had bought the ticket in London, where I was GMT.
Effectively, this would mean my flight was leaving before the cancellation period was ending, British Airways would not get the payment in time. This would further mean the funds would be released after the flight was meant to leave. I spent over 2 hours on the phone and with BA reps. The initial operator spoke to the BA attendant herself who explained the funds had not been released to them so the ticket could not be released to me. The initial operator put me through to a supervisor. I got cut off twice. By the time a supervisor and I connected she denied that the cancellation policy was the case and argued that it was BA’s responsibility as the payment went through. She also denied that there had ever been a conversation with anyone about a cancellation policy. The third supervisor then suggested I was speaking to a BA rep and we were on a 3 way call.
As I stood in front of the BA rep I asked I realized I was still speaking to a Priceline rep on the phone who reiterated that it was BA’s problem. At this point it was clear Priceline was not going to accept responsibility. I was just short of 20 minutes before the cancellation policy would expire and so had to cancel my flight so that I didn’t lose my money. Here is what got me…obviously Priceline had the funds because I got an immediate refund. The problem is many things, it was my son's birthday, the first I have missed in 20 years, I had to rebook a new flight, it cost me more and had to spend an additional night in London. Mistakes happen, I can deal with that, but it was the blatant denials and the inability to accept the massive inconvenience I was caused that I won’t soon forget. I will be leaving a rating to say the same thing I have said here on every site I can find.
I book Priceline for hotels throughout my stay in London I booked my hotels through Priceline even after this sorry affair. I have used Priceline over many years. This I will say, was the worst service I have ever experienced online. The absolute inability of the supervisors to take responsibility for what is clearly a glitch that can be resolved, was appalling. The initial operator even provided a timeline of when the cancellation would clear. The supervisor absolutely denied it. I hated this experience and everyone I know will be hearing about it.

Had the worst experience dealing with Priceline on a car rental! Customer service was terrible and could hardly understand Mark agent #**. I used CC to reserve a vehicle but never picked vehicle up and then was charged $488.00 for full 5 day rental that was never even picked up! All other car rental places don’t charge until you pick up vehicle. Was told by rude Priceline agent that this reservation was what they call a “express rental” and non refundable. Must have been fine writing in their contract and Mark was rude telling me I should have read the full contract before I signed, like anyone does that. I expected a lot more from Priceline but all I got was the company line. Very disappointed and will tell all my clients to stay away from Priceline because they won’t resolve issues.

My husband booked flights/hotel/and a vehicle rental through this company recently for an upcoming trip to Disney and the customer service we received was nothing short of appalling. We called to cancel our reservations (we purchased trip insurance) and they notified us to call later because they could not get ahold of the hotel. So we hang up with Priceline and call the hotel ourselves and they answer immediately and notify us we can cancel our hotel reservations, but Priceline has to cancel them.
So we called Priceline back and they stated we were unable to cancel and the person from the hotel we spoke with noticed us that we couldn’t cancel the hotel, even though the hotel said we could.. So then we attempted to upgrade our flights and our vehicle, they stated they couldn’t make any changes to the reservation.. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE TRIP INSURANCE? We will NEVER. Use this company again. Worst customer service experience. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend.

The day of the arrival the rental company didn't have a car for me and my family (mini van) under different excuses. They offered me TWO car for ONE driver, really? I was forced to take Uber to go to my destination because my local family couldn't pick me up since I was supposed to have a car for my family. Priceline and the rental company are denying a refund for taking Uber ($41). Don't do business with this company, they will leave stranded if they can and won't do anything to help you. I made a reservation for a minivan through this website in June. When the day came to make it effective, the car rental did not have this type of vehicle in its inventory; I mean, they didn't have minivans. When I told them why they accepted the reservation and charged the money in advance, they blamed Priceline for not updating their information. I stayed with my family of 6 without any solution for the car rental. I called Priceline and they offered me to pay the difference for renting in another car rental to solve that mistake. I did so and it cost me $300 more dollars. I sent the receipts for the refund and after 45 days of claiming THEY WASHED THEIR HANDS AND THEY DID NOT HONOR THE REFUND. Please be careful with this website that does not respond for errors on its platform and is not serious in its commitments. I am terrified that it could happen to foreign families that cannot solve these frauds.

In March of 2023 I booked a family vacation for my family to Orlando Fl for a few days in July. I was looking for a way to not break the bank so my family of 7 would enjoy the entirety of this trip. So I bundled the flights, hotel and car rental all in one with Priceline thinking I got a deal. Boy was I wrong. Let’s start day 1. We get to the car rental place and they ask for a $500 deposit on a credit card, I didn’t have a credit card with that high of limit. I know not great on my part, but I paid for the car up front with my debit card. Oh and they don’t take debit supposedly. So basically my family was screwed! All 7 of us waiting on the side of a road for an Uber. My issue with this was on Priceline’s website the link said no credit card needed. So my family and I decided to go through Turo, which I have now had to come out of pocket over $500 for a last min rental. No talk of a refund on Priceline’s end even after a 25 min conversation with them.
Day 2 my family and I are at Universal Studios and I get a notification that my bank account was below zero. I look to see what happened and see that the hotel has now charged me $749! Again, I paid everything upfront in March! So now I’m at an amusement park with my family and no money to spare. I call my bank first to get the charge reversed, they advise to call the hotel so I call them, in turn, they advised me to call Priceline. Priceline obviously does not communicate with any of these companies and they just rob you of your money or they simply don’t care. I have done my best to stay patient and calm in this whole ordeal but obviously sitting on a negative bank account will take its toll.

I had change of plans in few minutes later and I went to cancel the booking (same day 7/22) by clicking on email confirmation and found that I won't get full refund if I cancel. I was shocked to see that. Here is the cancellation policy from Priceline.com that says: "Any cancellation received within 1 day prior to arrival date will incur the first night charge." Then I first called hotel, of course they are not answering as usual.
When I called Priceline agent, he transfered me to next level of agent after couple of mins and you know how much time we have to spend with unbearable background music. I even finished my HW in the meanwhile. Finally I got hold of manager and it took one hour already. And she said it's 2AM easter time (USA) and it's already 7/23 hence it is not free to cancel. I asked her that "There is nowhere it says EASTERN TIME. And nowhere it says USA/CANADA TIME", then how can customers understand it. She said she will report that but said sorry to my current booking. Soo much misleading info to customers and now I am thinking not to go with Priceline for my next booking for sure.

I cannot fathom how 6 persons travelled on 2 flights yet only 4 will have a hotel room. Since we are in a foreign country, we paid the fees. I called Priceline customer service and immediately got transferred to their sister company Booking.com. I got a representative that had a very strong ** accent that I completely couldn’t understand. I asked to be transferred to the U.S. and was hung up on. I called back again and this time was told they had no record of the cancellation and that they would request it be canceled from the hotel itself without the fee. I called Priceline back again and I tried YET again to explain I had proof of canceling the reservation on May 29th and that it was not just canceled the day of the call. And when they were busted and pressured by the airline agents, they pretended to try to issue me a new ticket. Shamefully, they kept me waiting indefinitely at the airport without any resolution. Title: Disappointing Experience with Priceline's Service
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
Review:My recent experience with Priceline has been extremely disappointing. I encountered several issues with their service that have left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Firstly, I have been waiting for a refund that Priceline owes me, but they keep pushing back the expected date without providing any valid reasons. This lack of transparency and delay in refund processing has been highly inconvenient and unprofessional.
Adding to the frustration, it appears that Priceline does not keep proper notes of customer interactions. Despite multiple attempts to address my concerns, I have had to repeat the same information each time I contact their customer service. This lack of record-keeping demonstrates a lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, when I tried to file a complaint against one of their customer representatives, I was met with resistance. Priceline did not provide any avenue for me to address my concerns regarding their representative's behavior or resolve the issue. This unwillingness to acknowledge and rectify their employees' mistakes is unacceptable. Overall, my experience with Priceline has been marred by their poor service, delayed refunds, lack of note-keeping, and unresponsiveness to customer complaints. I would strongly advise against using their services, as they have failed to meet even the basic expectations of a reputable company.

The numbers were different and I ask the agent several times and even send him a screenshot of my bank account to show him the numbers were different but he didn’t even care. He was trying to charge more. So they charged me in US and I immediately cancelled and asked for a refund and the refund was missing 300$. I asked and they said, "We refund you. That’s your problem."
I explained the situation and they said they’re going to investigate to see if the agent said anything about the US dollar! So I waited a month and a half. Didn’t get any information so I called and they said the case is closed. Yes the agent didn’t discuss this with you but in check out page it was the dollar sign!!!! ($). I said this sign in universal! How should I know they didn’t write US beside the sign. That’s the agent’s job to tell me this! But the lady said it’s not how this thing works!!! So yeah I lost 300$ and never ever planning to book any more flights with this company!!!

On July 4, 2023 I had booked a vacation package through Priceline. Made sure that everything was corrected, even added on insurance for extra protection. Then I hit the send button to pay for my reservation. Waited for 5 minutes, then I got this flash message across the page saying that they can not process my reservation.
I had contacted customer service at Priceline to find out what was going on, the rep I spoke to had no clue what I was talking about, or acted like he didn't understand and started to book me another vacation package with times I did not want, I told the rep no and told him that I am deleting everything. I had looked in the email that I used and there was no confirmation, there was no message saying that my reservation did not go through, nothing. So the very next day something told me to check my checking account (credit card) that I used and found out that Priceline withdrew the money without an reservation in place. I have made a dispute with my bank for the funds.
Called Priceline back and the first customer service rep was really nice and explain that it may take 3-5 days for the funds to be reverse. Spoke back to my bank, because the rep at the bank told me the first amount was reverse by one of the airlines that I was going to fly on. Called Priceline back and the second rep was really nasty, I was asking questions and she kept saying, like I said ....I mean who talks like this. Check my account again and found out that the airline who I and my bank thought reverse the charge put it back on so the amount was $903 instead of $703. Never ever ever will I use Priceline again. I don't know how long it will take it may take months before I received the money back onto my credit/debit card. And I am quite upset, beyond words.

Priceline is a joke, they will take your money but will not refund it. I am convinced Priceline is working with merchants to purposely scam people out of their money. Please don't book with Priceline. They give your credit card information out. One of the merchants they scam with is Easirent car rental Orlando FL. Don't trust nothing with priceline. Car rental was paid in full before my trip....got to the car rental location and Easirent tried to scam 600$ extra dollars from me. I told them no. Called Priceline to help and they canceled the rental and refused a refund. Like I said they are working together to scam customers!

Refund policies are a mess with these guys. They're always blaming others for "not allowing" a refund when in fact it is ultimately up to them.... an infinite loop when calling your hotel and Priceline and both are telling you to call the other to see if there is a chance you could get refunded for your cancellation. If you're SURE nothing will come up requiring a cancellation, then maybe we can get into the fact that your information is going who knows where, and all the hidden fees.... but the cancellation thing bothered me the most, because I intentionally chose "free cancellation" (unless the hotel says otherwise, apparently) and paid more only to not be refunded. Beware.

I'll hit the high points to keep this as short as possible. We bought tickets to Europe through Priceline. A week before the trip a flight was cancelled. Priceline could not rebook the trip, but told us not to worry, that they would "resolve the issue" within 3 to 5 business days. That means IF it was resolved, it would be about 2 days before departure. Ultimately, I wrote a letter to one of the executives on their customer service team, and I am convinced that was the only reason our flight was rebooked. But, the day before our return trip, a leg of our return flight was cancelled and replaced with another flight.
Our new booking number did not allow us to be checked through to our home airport, which meant we had to leave the secure zone in London, pick up our luggage, and recheck it, which caused us to miss our flight. ALL of the airlines involved (ticketed by Iberia, operated by British Airways, flight on American) said Priceline was responsible for rebooking us, but Priceline refused, saying it was up to the airlines. While discussing this with the Priceline agent, my call was dropped. I had to start over again (while calling using international roaming). I asked the next agent to please make note of my phone number and to call me back should we get disconnected. She assured me that she would.
Well, when she sent me a copy of the itinerary to prove to me that we did, in fact have a flight, the next leg of our trip was missing! As in, it was no longer on our Priceline itinerary. When I asked her why that was, the call was immediately dropped again. I wholeheartedly believe that both agents, when faced with an issue they could not easily solve, simply hung up on me. No, the agent did NOT return my call as I sat in Heathrow with no way home. Despite the situation, I was calm and courteous while talking to the agents. I don't know that I can ever use Priceline again. The money we saved was not worth the hassle and stress. Thankfully, a kind American Airlines gate agent did help us get home the next day.

Priceline uses a labyrinth of third-party vendors. You have no idea who your credit card information is going to and, with Priceline's permission, will be hit with fraudulent charges. I booked a hotel reservation through what I thought was Priceline. It was brokered to Agoda which then brokered it to another company called CCI Reservations WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Priceline gave my credit card information to Agoda who then gave it to CCI Reservations WITHOUT MY CONSENT. CCI Reservation then issued a fraudulent charge on my credit card ($650 which they claimed was security fees, cleaning fees, and resort fees from the hotel...which it was not) and refused to refund it claiming I had to go to Priceline for the refund. Priceline told me to go to CCI Reservation for the refund...an infinite loop. So, Priceline is giving YOUR credit card information to another company without your consent and is FALSELY advertising that they make the reservation, which they do not. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH PRICELINE!!!

Tried that, and was told my name didn't match my reservation name. It did. Just another corporate glitch meant to fluster paying consumers. My name is Jennifer. It's been that way for 40 years. Alamo wouldn't help me and kicked me to Priceline. The agent I got put me on hold for 15 minutes, he said he was still verifying the reservation. Bull. The website listed prices in "$" at the top of the page. I found out later that "booking.com" managed the actual booking for Priceline. I was told $156 dollars on the phone. They sent me a confirmation email (which - my fault - I did not check and was not needed at the hotel); I booked in a busy airport. When I checked out, the same front desk clerk also ran the shuttle, so said to just leave my room keys on the counter. When I went to print my receipt a day later, it was for $266. I called Priceline who referred me to Booking.com. I was then told the price was in euros... There was no listing anywhere on the site or in the conversation that the charge would be in Euros. My mistake was not looking at the receipt on my phone prior to my stay. I would have said "no" for a 2.5 star hotel.

Updated on 07/11/2023: Today I called back Priceline after waking 9days after the return of the car. Now they are telling me my Refund will not be returned cause all Priceline reservations are non Refundable.
Original Review: I booked a flight and a rental through Priceline. Travel dates 06/24/2323- 07/02/2023 I went ahead and booked a car to be picked up 06/24/2023 through Priceline/Ace Rent-A-Car/Drivo-Rent-A-Car. I was definitely not Satisfied with Priceline.com. After arriving at LGA, I tried to call Ace for A shuttle pick up to the Car Rental. I got no Answer on several calls to Ace, I then proceeded to book an Uber to take me to the Car rental location. While waiting I notice a Shuttle with several different Logo pulled up at The Airport Pickup area. I ask the driver do he provide shuttle to Ace Car rental. He Said yes. I boarded and Cancelled my Uber costing me $5.00. I got to Ace Car to pick up my rental. The Ace agent took my Credentials and looked up my Reservation then Requested an Additional $500 deposit after I have already paid Priceline $498.00 plus $117.00 collision Insurance.
Priceline.com did not notify me of any Additional Deposit so I cancelled the Reservation. I then called Priceline.com to process my Refund on 06//24/2023. It’s now 07/04/2023. I have Called Priceline.com every day since 06/24/2023 for my Refund and every time I call I get different Agents giving total stupid explanation as to the reason I have not yet Refunded. I had to get very irate to get to speak to a Manager then was told My Refund will take 5 business day after the date I was to Return the Rental which makes no sense when I was issued a letter of Cancellation on 06/24/2023 that I sent to Priceline.com.
I will Sure Cancel my Priceline.com Account and I will never in my Future Travel between myself and my wife who Travels 5 to 6 times a year neither will I ever use Ace Car Rental again. This Is Very Bad Business Practice. To this day 07/04/2023 I still have not received my Refund as yet I still have to wait 3 more business days to see if I get my refund. From 06/24/2023 to this day it’s now 10 Days Priceline.com had kept my Refund gaining interest.

I’ve been staying at hotels for the past 30 years. I have never complained once and I have never written a review- until now. We got to our room, the bathroom had a hole in the shower ( yes I have pictures), the shower floors looked a mess, the patio had huge pieces of rust (yes I have pictures), the bathroom did not have a lock and the eating table looked 100 years old with marks and scratches. We booked 4 nights and only stayed 1 night. The hotel claims to be a five star hotel - don’t be fooled !!! It’s a 3 star quality at best. We ended up booking at Iberostar in Lagos. That’s a true 5 star hotel!!!
Tried to get this resolved through Salgados - no response! Priceline passed me on to their third-party Booking.com - useless as well - got nowhere with them. The staff at hotel were kind - only so much they can do. Overall, I would never recommend this hotel as a five star quality - 2 to 3 stars at best. We stayed at a 5 star in Cascais Intercontinental and Marriott Prai de Rey - both amazing. Buyer beware. Don’t expect Priceline or Booking.com to come to rescue. All I got was, “We called, they said no refund “. I could have done that myself. I have videos and pictures to support everything and time stamped. I would never recommend this hotel to any friends!!!

My experience. I needed to fly home for a big family reunion on June 30 - July 3rd. I purchased a ticket through PL for a guaranteed lower price. They offered insurance at an additional charge. The price of Insurance made the flight the same cost as if buying direct from the Airline so I skipped it. Once I arrived at the airport, I had to wait more than 1 hour to get through customs. Got the the gate with 10 minutes to spare and the door was closed. I was told by the gate agent that based on my PL ticket, there was nothing they could do. I had to call PL. And PL told me, since I did not buy Insurance, which would have made the price similar to what I would pay buying direct, I would get no refund. So, I ** threw away $890. I would advise you to shop around on the Airline website and avoid PL at all cost. You get the same price with a guarantee and do not feel like you have been robbed. #NeverPriceline

Trip #**- was to be at hotel from July 2 to July 5, 2023. My family and I drove for 7 hours and, because of traffic and unexpected stops, arrived at hotel at 2:30am. When checking we were told the hotel was expecting to reserve a single king bedroom instead of what I requested - a bedroom with queen beds. The clerk at the counter said this was not the first time Priceline failed to communicate what the hotel had as available. At that I called Priceline and spoke to the first CSR that explained that she was unable to do anything but either let me use the available room that I did not want for the 4 adult size people to use the room or refund me. I asked to escalate to find some help to get a new room or hotel. The person I spoke with on escalation was equally ineffective at being able to help find a resolution beyond refunding me to fix Priceline’s mistake. A mistake left four of us stranded without a room at 2:30am.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and said I could wait. The Priceline escalation rep assured me I’d get a call back in 5 minutes. It never came. Fortunately the clerk at the hotel that could not accommodate us was able to help us find a hotel at a better deal than the one I got from Priceline. At 4:30am we got a hotel and some sleep. At 9:45am I called to express my concern to a Priceline supervisor named Han that repeatedly cut me off when I was explaining my situation by saying he was sorry Priceline was only able to refund my card for the charge. I’ve used Priceline for 3 trips this year and this trip with be my last. Very disgusted with the approach with my trip and this situation now represents the worst experience I’ve had with a travel service. I’d highly recommend going to Expedia or another service if traveling over Priceline for travelers' safety, comfort and trust that their plans won’t backfire upon arrival to their hotel. AW

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Days Inn by Wyndham Ottawa, and I feel compelled to share my negative experience with others. I booked a three-night stay at this hotel through Priceline.com for a room with two queen beds to accommodate four people. Unfortunately, what followed was a series of frustrating and unacceptable incidents that left me deeply dissatisfied.
Upon arriving at Days Inn by Wyndham Ottawa on July 1st, 2023, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked. Astonishingly, I received absolutely no prior verbal or written communication about this issue, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, Wyndham Ottawa transferred our stay to a "hotel" down the street, which turned out to be the UOttawa Campus Residence on 290 Rideau Street.
The UOttawa Campus Residence was far from being a suitable alternative. It offered us a single bedroom with only one bed for four people, which clearly did not match the reservation I had made. Additionally, there was no television in the room, and the overall amenities were severely lacking. It became apparent that the UOttawa Campus Residence was simply a student residence, not a hotel. When we inquired at the front desk if there were any other rooms available, we were informed that there was one, but it came with an additional cost of $225 plus tax.
Feeling frustrated and cheated, I immediately contacted Priceline's customer service via phone and spoke with Juan and his supervisor, Ashley. Despite the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced, the best they could offer was a meager 20% discount, which was completely inadequate. Ashley mentioned that she would contact the UOttawa residence manager to discuss a potential refund, but as the manager was unavailable on July 1st and July 2nd, no resolution was reached during that time.
It is worth noting that under Priceline's Terms and Conditions, they state that in the event of cancellations or changes to a reservation due to overbooking or factors outside their control, they will make reasonable efforts to notify guests, offer alternative options or assistance, or provide a refund. Unfortunately, no such efforts were made in my case. I received no notification, no reasonable alternative options were provided, and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience and subpar accommodation.
To add insult to injury, on July 3rd, 2023, I received an email confirmation stating that the hotel was unable to obtain approval for a refund. This lack of accountability and refusal to address the issue further highlights the poor customer service and disregard for guest satisfaction. In conclusion, my experience with Days Inn by Wyndham Ottawa and Priceline.com was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise potential guests to steer clear of this hotel and exercise caution when booking through Priceline.com. The lack of communication, unsatisfactory alternative accommodations, and refusal to provide a reasonable resolution have left me deeply dissatisfied.

I was promised by a Priceline customer service representative that I would be able to reschedule my flights 24 hours before departure with a $150 fee without any problems. It happened to be completely incorrect and dishonest! I tried to contact Priceline a week before the departure to reschedule my flights because I needed to stay in Portugal for medical treatment for the next several months. It was very difficult to reach this company by phone. It was very difficult to communicate with this company's customer service because of the busy line, constant call disconnection, and very poor English language of many of the customer representatives!
I had to spend more than 10 hours in five days in a row speaking with multiple representatives for nothing to finally be offered by the last representative a very limited time frame for rescheduling flights. This time frame was not good for me. However, I decided to reschedule my flights at a time that was not convenient for me in order not to lose my money completely. When I asked to reschedule my flights for the time allowed by Priceline, I got the price of $8176 for my new flights, which is more than 5 times more expensive than the price of $1537 for these flights available on priceline.com own website at that time! I was very upset and felt completely fooled. I asked for the name and company ID number of this representative, but she gave me only her first name of Avah without her last name or company ID number. I asked to speak with her manager or supervisor, but I was denied this right.
I wanted to submit a complaint, but I couldn’t do it with this representative either! Furthermore, I think this company has very bad business practices and completely terrible, dishonest and irresponsible customer service with a very bad attitude towards the customers! I can’t recommend anyone do business with this company ever!

We called Priceline the next morning to inquire about a refund for our stay as the hotel had indicated that since we booked through them, Priceline would refund us and not the hotel. We have now been at it for two days and four separate phone calls with Priceline, speaking to at least four supervisors to escalate the issue.
The hotel confirmed yesterday that they refunded the cost of our entire reservation to Priceline in order for us to be refunded and shared confirmation e-mails to this effect. Priceline has not admitted to this yet, and continues to say that they cannot reach the hotel manager to confirm the details. They've scheduled another callback, but at this point we are considering legal action as they just go through the same motions. We also have to start over from scratch each time that we call. Day of my arrival I'm stuck at the airport because the hotel stated they don't offer shuttle service. After speaking with 2 supervisors and a rep they wanted to offer me a 20% refund which by the way wasn't even equivalent to one way cost of a uber. After explaining my frustration and advising this is unfair they had no solution. NEVER WILL I USE THEM AGAIN. NO INTEGRITY!!!!

Booked a rental and hotel with Priceline to go to Orlando. The rental car company was horrible. I declined their insurance and they charged me $90 to decline their insurance on top of what I already paid. I asked if the shuttle would be running at 430 in the morning. I was told yes. That was a lie. When I returned the car I was told 10 minutes for the shuttle. 25 minutes later I had to take a Lyft to airport to not be any later for flight. The name of the rental car place is Nextcar. It should be nightmare. Stayed at Townplace suites Flamingo Crossing which was nice. No issues until I check out. I had prepaid for the rental and the hotel. I go to check out and I’m told that I owe for my stay even though I have proof that I paid before I even got there. I was told that Priceline virtual card had been declined and that is the reason for it. After I provided proof I was told they would issue a refund for the amount I was charged.
I contacted Priceline and told them what happened. They contacted the hotel. Still no refund to my account had to dispute with my credit card. Spoke to a supervisor at Priceline who told me when I advised I should have some type of compensation for these inconvenience. That there was nothing she would do and I could use other search engines as that’s my right. I used my Priceline app for the majority of my travel plans but I will be deleting and installing Expedia. I was definitely satisfied with all representatives. From the initial reservation call, to picking up my rental, to dropping off the car at the LaGuardia location in New York. I even went ahead and extended my rental for another day and in my drop off date. There was a shuttle bus on time at Drivo waiting to drop me off at Laguardia. Which took maybe about 5mins to get to the airport. I had a wonderful experience. No hassle, no attitudes, representatives were very friendly. All of my total charges were fair. Which is 280 miles to drive. When I arrived in New York at Dollar rental I was told that they do not have any gas cars available. In fact that they (rarely) carry gas cars. The car I received was a Chevy bolt with a maximum range of 200 or so miles. New York > Boston is 280 miles. It takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge the car. >>> Enough with the back story. Now onto the review.
On my receipt I was charged an upgrade fee of $35 a day. (Upgrade) fee. This car is in NO WAY an upgrade. I’m waiting half my vacation charging this ** box. Hence I said a the top the amount miles I am driving. I do not know how to operate an (electric car) nor do I care. But for a rental car place to reserve you a gas car give you an electric car and then charge you an upgrade fee is **. The solution should have been Priceline giving me a call when I got off the plane directing me to a new rental place to avoid this issue. I traveled halfway across the country for this. The price is not the issue. It’s the inconvenience. You can always make more money but you can never have your time back. It said in the email that the booking was fully refundable if canceled before 11:59 pm on 6/12/23. This was before I even booked!!! Email went on to say that if cancelled after that time, a penalty (their phrase) of one night's stay would be implemented. So, stupidly, I decided to go for one day since I was going to be charged anyway. After I checked in, I called down to the front desk and told them I would not be needing the second night. I was told that they could not refund it as I had booked through a third party. So I called Priceline. They put me on hold while they presumably contacted the hotel.
When Priceline rep came back on the line, I was informed that the hotel could not refund me for the second night as I had prepaid using a credit card and they couldn’t refund to a credit card. This is interesting considering when I checked in, I was charged another $20 for security deposit and was told it would be refunded at check out. So, in the Priceline itinerary it said that the booking was non-refundable after 12:00 am on 6/14/23. I called them well before midnight on 6/13/23 and yet they would not refund the second night. I wasn’t asking for a full refund. Only the second night. So, anyway, I checked out after the first night well before the noon checkout time and was hoping my credit card would ultimately only be charged for one night. But I see on my app today it was charged for both nights. I am furious and will never again use a third party booking app. I suggest nobody else does either. Call the hotel directly.

After 7 hours on the phone with them on Memorial Day, it was fixed and we were rebooked, but it was more expensive. Very frustrating. Still, I went there again this morning and booked another trip and bundled the flight/hotel/rental car. When I got my confirmation from Priceline, the car was missing. So I canceled the flight immediately and then tried to cancel the hotel to rebook the whole thing again, but this time, I wasn't able to cancel the hotel, even though their website said free cancelations within 24 hours.

They said that it's a restricted flight and there is nothing they can do. He did not give an explanation nor did he try to show compassion or sympathy considering my situation. I will NOT ever use Priceline for anything moving forward based on the LACK of Customer Care.

I went through Priceline to get a car rental at the airport and will never do that again. My flight was early and when I went to pick up my car I was directed to go to another car rental. The line was so long that I stayed in line for an hour and didn’t even make it halfway. Luckily I didn’t pay ahead of time because you can’t get your money back if you cancel. The other car rental places there didn’t have anyone in line. I went through one of them to get my car in 5 mins but had to pay a higher price. They have a good scam going on there with their long lines. I’ll never go through Priceline again.

I booked a room on Priceline at a major hotel chain. I arrived at the hotel to find that the room was not clean and that the TV was broken and unusable. I complained to the front desk staff and was told that no other room was available. They agreed that I should get a partial refund and said that they would offer up to 50%. Unfortunately, since I booked through Priceline, I was told that I had to contact them for the refund. They said that Priceline would contact the hotel, the hotel would issue them the partial refund, and then issue it to me.
I contacted Priceline and sent photos of the room and the broken TV. Three weeks later, they denied my request. They claim that the hotel had denied any partial refund. After calling the hotel myself, I confirmed that Priceline never actually contacted them or opened a case. This wreaks of dishonesty. I contacted Priceline again and brought this to their attention. The agent abruptly closed the conversation saying nothing could be done. I had been patient every time that I contacted them and the rude response was unwarranted. Poor processes, poor practices, poor ethics, and poor service. I will never again book through Priceline and would advise you to avoid them as well.

When I went to pick the car at Dollar rental they charged me another $471 for bunch an insurance and taxes. I waited 1.5 hours in Tue rental line after my flight and the again at the counter did not explain any thing about the insurance and all the extra fees. I was thinking the charges were for the rental not all of the other insurance and fees. Why would I get insurance when my own insurance company covers all my rentals. This to me is like stealing my money. I don’t know how Priceline or dollar rental is doing this to their customers. When I called Priceline they said it’s not their fault. I am current trying to call dollar but they are so busy as experienced that when I stood in line for hour and a half. I don’t know who is responsible here but I feel like I have been cheated. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A negative 5 star review I would do this! Back in the beginning of March I had booked a trip to Florida and had to cancel the hotel accommodations. As of today (5/31) this is the 10th time I have been in contact with the company because I have not received my refund. Throughout these contacts I have been hung up on twice (I never have used any profanity or any foul language to warrant this). 3 different times I have been told that my refund was being processed and that the supporting documentation from the bank and proof of charge was validated.
Now today I was told that they needed additional documentation because they cannot verify that property used this transaction type. AFTER 10 contacts (actually 13 if you count the hangups and callbacks) and almost 3 MONTHS of trying to work with them they have shown NO possible support. The continual run arounds, "we need more time", "we cannot contact the property", etc list of excuses shows nothing more than them trying to STEAL money from me. I WILL NOT DO ANY MORE BUSINESS with a dishonest company who DOES NOT CARE/SUPPORT their customers.

Dear Priceline and National Car Rental Company. Hi! I am writing this message because I was not able to receive my full refund from express deal from Priceline. Even though the policy stated that it is non-refundable. However, I booked the reservation via my mobile phone and I could not see the notice of the non-refundable policy that this booking cannot make a cancellation. Once I filled up the payment forms, my reservation was locked to get the mid-size SUV cars. So I contacted to customer service for Priceline, the staffs still insisted that the reservation was under the policy and could not get refund from cancellation.
The second issue is the car company that I went to today for the customer service, I did not know that renting car from National needs to make a security deposit for $400 with credit card. And I cannot use debit card unless I have a round trip flight. I don’t have my credit card with that payment $400. So I could not rent the car for the whole process that I have been making reservation for. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life from booking a rental car from Priceline and poor service for communication at National car rental company. I wish you’d never have some kinds of my experience as I do.

By the time it was our turn the lady at the gate says Silver downsize the plane and there was no more room! So they spent 2 hours trying to find a flight. It was approaching night time and something had to happen soon. We had a cruise to catch the next morning in Jacksonville. The flights they found were 20 hours with layovers. We could not do that because we would miss the cruise and I would be out $7000 dollars, So the lady said she can get us to Tampa and we could rent a car and silver would reimburse us. Well silver won’t answer calls nor return emails. Nevertheless we paid for a flight we didn’t receive.
I didn’t not pay for a red eye flight to Tampa so my family could rent a car at 1am to drive to Jacksonville so we could make our cruise just hours later. Yes we arrived at 5am in Jacksonville. I purchased a package (Flight/Hotel) together so I’d be seamless as always. My hotel was located in Freeport Grand Bahama Island BUT my flight landed in Nassau (BIG ISSUE). This isn’t even remotely close! It’s a 45 min additional Flight that has to be booked when you find out there is no connecting flights booked with Priceline, which cost myself and my husband and additional $500.00 plus AIRBNB cost for $300.00 so we have somewhere to stay in Nassau. I called Priceline 4 times and was told there’s nothing they can do and to READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Never will book through Priceline/Booking. They could at least help look for connecting flights. We used Priceline to book a hotel room at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Nampa. We paid $163.14 and arrived to check-in just after 3pm. After we got to the room we went to use the restroom before leaving to our event and realized there was no bathroom door. We went to the lobby to notify the hotel clerk and use the restroom in the lobby. There was no restroom in the lobby, or anywhere but our room, for our use. The clerk informed us the room wasn't supposed to be booked for that reason and was marked off on their side to not book, but apparently not through Priceline. She said there were no other rooms available, but her son who works there would look for some doors of different sizes in their storage area, he would then see which one fits the room when we get back from our event.
Upon returning about 8pm she informed us he was going to Home Depot to get a door because he had no luck locating one that would fit. We left again to eat dinner. We were told he would get the door from home depot for when we returned to put on. When we returned to stay in the room for the night there still wasn't a door. We discussed with the clerk that it was already almost 10pm and didn't look like a door would be getting placed on our restroom for us to stay and use the room. We told her we would rather just get a refund and find a different hotel to house us since none of us could use the bathroom or shower in privacy without a bathroom door. She told us she wasn't authorized to give us a refund, but she would have the manager do it on Monday to call and talk to Rachel.
We then got online and found a room along the route home 2 hours away and reserved it through a different hotel chain. We got there exhausted and frustrated just after midnight to get to bed. Monday came and went with no call from Rachel and no refund. Tuesday we called and were told Rachel wasn't in when we explained the situation to the desk clerk, but she said she would have her call me back when she returned from picking stuff up for the hotel. About 3-4 hours later I called again to see if Rachel was back. The clerk informed me she was not back, but she had messaged her and Rachel authorized her to give us a 25% refund on the room. I told her I would need to speak to Rachel about getting a full refund since we weren't able to stay in the room and had to pay for a different hotel room to house us instead. She informed me Rachel wouldn't be in the rest of the day and I could call her tomorrow.
I asked her to give her my phone number and name and to please have her call me ASAP. I got the feeling nobody was going to call me back as they acted like they didn't care. I contacted Priceline about the issue and they called the hotel and were told we could only get a 25% refund. They were told we used the room. I informed them we indeed did not and had to pay for a different hotel that night and I could provide proof. They said they had to respect the policies of the hotel which state any cancellation received within 1 day prior to arrival date will incur the first night charge and failure to arrive at your hotel or property will be treated as a no show and will incur the first night charge. Those policies in no way support them taking our money and not providing us the room we booked, or any other room with a door on the bathroom.
We gave them from 3pm-10pm to remedy the situation so we could stay there, had to travel late, and had to pay again for another hotel, but they will not refund us more than a 25% refund. They should have said that room wasn't supposed to be booked and isn't available for use, apologized, and refunded us at the very beginning. If they would have been honest in the beginning we would have had all day to find another location and not deal with all the run around then have to pay more to stay somewhere else in the end anyways. It was completely dishonest and the worst customer service. They wouldn't be booking that room out to anybody else, but would steal our money and give us a big run around and headache over it.
Priceline provided no way to remedy the situation either and said if we opened a dispute with the credit card company or small claims they would no longer be able to issue us the 25% refund. Both places deserve 0 starts for their customer service and Super 8 for their dishonesty and theft. We have contacted the manager above the property manager and are hoping they will realize what their property manager has done to us and will make it right. But I will recommend to whoever reads this, all my friends, and my family members at this point to not use Priceline and not book any reservations with the Super 8 by Wyndham.

I usually use a different service. Wanted to give Priceline a try. TOTAL NIGHTMARE! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! The rep booked the wrong room on the initial first call. They have the recordings where I said ocean front and he agreed that is what I was getting. No! Ended up getting ocean view on the side of the building. This is a hotel that we visit often and I requested this specific hotel. Called Priceline after receiving a confirmation email and realized he booked me the wrong room after repeating several different time that I wanted ocean front, I was trying to get it fixed for 4 days before my reservation. All reps told me to wait.. it’s a waiting game. That they have to review the case.
On the day before the reservation they finally escalated the case and sent it to higher management. Called again to see what they were going to do about them booking a different room than what I agreed upon. No answers. You will just have to wait. By this time I was livid! It was the day before the reservation and no answers on what they were going to do about it or even reimburse me partially. They said, "Oh I’m so sorry this happened. Let’s see what we can do." Then said, "Unfortunately they’re still reviewing the case, wait longer!"
So the day of the reservation on the way there I called Priceline again! Now mind you I have been speaking with supervisors this whole time. Every day, multiple times a day. The morning of reservation I speak with supervisor. Pretty much the same result but she says let’s escalate this even more that she will give me a call in 10 minutes. Never received. Call. So when we arrived at hotel I refused to walk in so I wouldn’t be charged for the room. Hotel management was great by the way. I called Priceline yet again after not receiving any call. Mind you this is 4pm checkin time, and I spoke with the last rep at 11am. I spoke with Priceline management again! They pretty much said that they were going to call the hotel to see if they had any room availability for the one I initially thought I was buying. I told them that they do not that I have already spoken with the hotel. This is exactly what I said was going to happen. Keep waiting until last minute there will be no rooms. This was at bike week time too. Priceline said we will call you back in an hour tops with a resolution.
At this time both me and my husband were so aggravated and furious. I said, "No! Y’all need to make the person who booked this room accountable for selling me the wrong one!" In the meantime since we’re here, we’re going to enjoy our time and deal with this when we get back home. At this point I knew there was no resolution. Husband and I only had a night away from kiddos. And we weren’t going to let Priceline totally ruin this for us. But Priceline is a joke. They tell you what you want to hear and a lot of waiting and no resolution. The last rep seemed so relieved that I was just going to wing it. Like okay enjoy your stay! He had to regrets in them screwing us over. Had no care in the world.
I will never use them. I didn’t know that they had 96% ONE STAR RATING! They need to be shut down. THEY DO NOT CARE! I will start booking from the hotel or the other unsaid travel business I use. Still have not received any compensation for us going through that. If I do it better not be a discount on a next stay through them because THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME WITH PRICELINE. Never mind the fact our hotel caught fire 3 hours into our stay at around 7:00 PM and we fled, never to return, and were charged anyway despite Red Lion customer service promising we would not, since we didn't get to stay at all. The issue with Priceline is we had a promised rate of $81 total for the night. Upon arrival, the Red Garter had us booked in a smoking suite instead of the non-smoking room we requested, and charged $193.03 to our card as some kind of insurance against damages during our stay.
After returning home, which we did without even staying at the scummy slum of a hotel that caught on fire and ruined our vacation, the $193.03 hold on our account dropped off and we ended up being charged $93.03, despite Red Lion's promise not to charge for a stay we did not even have, which is $12.03 more than the $81 Priceline quoted. So, as for Priceline, there is no reason whatsoever to go through Priceline for any kind of savings or guarantee, at all. I booked hotels only to be told at check in that the debit card Priceline used was declined or had insufficient funds and was so embarrassed by how rude the customer service reps were to the front desk clerk. Here I had already paid for the hotel and had to pay again just to get into my room. One time I could let slide. But oh no. It's been an issue with them. Repeatedly. Sure I get a refund but never should have happened. And I'm paying for that. Earlier in this same week, I wanted to cancel the reservation for the rental car but they said because it was an "Express Deal" I could not cancel it which I do not recall being mentioned anywhere when I made the booking. Thus I will never use Priceline again.

I paid for seat reservations for my wife and I 10 months in advance and was not provided the seats I paid for. Within about a week I provided proof that the airline was refunding what Priceline paid them. Now after calling for 6 months every 7 to 10 business days they have still not settled this refund for services not provided. Every time it gets urgently escalated to the Accounting Department without resolution or calling back, essentially ghosting me. I would never order services through Priceline again. Their “Customer Service” is the worst I have received in 64 year of my life. They don’t care about their customers. To this day I am waiting for their proper refund settlement, the amount I paid for seats that I was refused at boarding, evidently sold to a higher bidder. Just looking for a refund for what I paid for, and didn’t receive.

I booked a hotel stay with them and then I noticed they offered Price Guarantee and so I went online and actually found the price for less at a different website. I sent in my claim form within the 24 hours time frame they gave, shortly after I received two emails from the Priceline Department stating I was approved and that refund would be processed and posted back to my card within 3 to 5 business days. The email stated I would be refunded 200% of the difference. I called at least 10x to follow up. Spoke to CS representatives who stated that Department was working on it and would contact me by email within 7 days. There were instances when I would call and get different information depending on whatever. They would just make up reasons not to refund me when it was already approved.
One lady said, "Oh you didn't submit it in the time frame offered," then there was, "You are not a Priceline member," and which I am and the third most famous one was, "Oh that was not the same room". Everything I did I checked over 3X. I sent all the info in regarding the same exact room and did everything within hours of booking this trip. Priceline advertises offers which they do not honor. I have been a loyal member and customer of theirs but will no longer do business with a fraudulent company! They are very unprofessional and hire the most deceptive clueless Customer Service Reps and Supervisors. Priceline is a JOKE!!!

Booked 2 rooms and cancelled one room with Priceline, however, Priceline called to the hotel to cancel two rooms instead of one room. When we checked in the hotel and we were told our room was canceled. End up we have to pay the walk-in price. I doubt their system is broken. After I cancelled one room and received the refund as well, but they still sent me reminder email saying I booked two rooms one night, and they actually cancelled my rooms. Don’t understand how their system works. The customer service representatives are unprofessional and untrained. It’s a horrible experience to talking with them over the phone. They are unable to locate the previous conversation or notes about the same issue… Will NOT use Priceline again.

Overcharged me. Said there wouldn't be a fee to book. But I got overcharged $30 plus. They won't answer phone or chat. I won't ever use them again. The room booked, I'm seeing into the hallway, walkway. Men, truckers looking into my room, I put the ironing board there, longways to cover the space. They were laughing, like in expectation of seeing but not seeing something. On lunch break I called Priceline, automated system says they'll call back, Priceline never called me back.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT USE Priceline for ANY travel accommodations. Their customer service does not have a care in the world about their customers. We had a HORRIBLE experience yesterday that costed my friends and I $1,400 over something THEY did: My friends and I had a round trip flight booked, with layovers, from New York to Pensacola, FL. We got a notification that our connecting flight of Orlando to Pensacola was going to depart earlier now, making it impossible to make the flight after landing in Orlando.
We called Priceline customer service and SPECIFICALLY mentioned that the ONLY flight that either needs to be changed or cancelled was the flight from ORLANDO to PENSACOLA. The guy said, "Sure. No problem." After getting back on the line, he tells us that he CANCELLED the ENTIRE trip. We immediately said to him that that was NOT what we said, and then he proceeds to tell us that they were not able to cancel a specific flight, but only the whole trip. So WITHOUT WARNING US he cancelled the whole trip.
During the remainder of the three hour conversation, the representative as well as the supervisor had absolutely NO care and no help. 1) They could not rebook everything for us although it was only seconds since he cancelled the trip. 2) They did not want to provide us with ANY compensation for their mistake. 3) If they wanted us to rebook everything, WE would have had to pay the difference from the original total price which was in the thousands more. 4) They said the airline is not able to do anything. Basically, they said they don't care, you have to spend more to rebook everything and it's not their problem. My friends and I ended up getting the refund from the cancellation and had to rebook all of our flights which costed us a net amount of $1,400 MORE. TERRIBLE, IMCOMPETENT, CARELESS customer service. We will NEVER be using Priceline again. They were FIGHTING with us over THEIR mistake

Booked a hotel through Priceline for May 15-16 and got a confirmation email as well. Reached hotel at 11:15 or so and the front desk has a reservation for May 16-17! Priceline on hold for more than 1 hour and now left with no room and no refund! Mind you, it’s middle of the night. No help from the hotel either!! Pathetic customer service.

I booked a car rental through Priceline with Routes Car rental. The first issue was Routes Cars and Priceline falsely advertised the vehicle at $17 but when I arrived onsite I was informed that my insurance was not accepted and neither was the insurance for Priceline. This elevated the cost of the vehicle to nearly 70 a day. Combined with the 250 deposit the $200 rental I booked jumped to a thousand. I declined and contacted Priceline only to be told 'too bad'. The customer service at Priceline was atrocious. The so called supervisors constantly tried to dismiss my frustration and me. When I asked for corporate to file a complaint, I was given three different wrong numbers and told there was a nonexistent email on the website. I was left high and dry. Stranded and without a refund. I am writing this review because I refuse to let this go.

Priceline has a systematic way of scamming travelers. I will never use this website and make sure tell all my friends and family to refrain from booking through them. Until now in every trip they would scam by cheating in smaller ways by hiding behind fine print. In a trip to Orlando, we booked the entire hotel, air tickets and car rental. They claimed that the rental car was availbale from airport. Considering we were landing mid night. We made sure that's what it had. However once we reached Orlando, we were told that car rental company is away and there is a shuttle to get the car. So after landing mid night, we had to wait for over an hour to get a ride to the rental car pick up place.
After we to the rental car place which looked like car theft hub. We were made to wait in line for over 2 hours for us to get the car. When we called Priceline to give us another car rental they let’s transferring us to various department and agents with no answer. This was pure scamming when they especially claim on the reservation that car rental is from airport and it is not.
A very recent incident that happens is we booked 2 rooms for 1 night in AC Caesar’s Palace. When we got to the hotel to check in, the hotel staff informed us that we only had 1 room booked and not 2. So we called Priceline, they put us on hold to check on what happened to reservation for 45 mins. After the agent came back, he said their wholesaler had system error and that it will take another 30 mins for them to send the 2nd room confirmation. When I said why would it take 30 Mins for them send a simple email. The agent got irritated and said I should not ask him a question as he does not have answer. When I asked him to cancel and process refund, he said he cannot guarantee full refund. This is pure SCAMMING.
While all this was going on the hotel staff informed us that this is very typical of priceline. They were hoping for us to give up out of frustration. So we would book the 2nd room ourself and priceline will take the money as no show. This is one of the many scabrous that have designed to keep customers money and not give them the service. The Caesar palace staff was extremely nice and she gave us 2nd room as she knew were there to celebrate our parents' anniversary. Our 71+ parents were terrified and sitting in stress as what was going on.
Previously I only suspected Priceline of scamming but in recent trips it’s very apparent that Priceline takes advantage of system issues and fine print and scams all travelers. They are very smart about it as they do these gimmicks at small and and large level randomly to very few customers so that there is no trend to sue. I strongly urge the Consumer Affairs to audit Priceline and their vendors as they are getting more aggressive and frequent with these scams. A middle class person saves money and wants to spend quality time with family. They don’t want a palace or butler but at least give them the service they paid for.
