We had a nightmare experience with Priceline. My husband had a medical emergency and we couldn’t go on our trip. Priceline dragged us through weeks of phone calls, dismissing letters from the ER doctors. Each time they said they would call back in an hour but never did. We never got a refund. I’m ready to pursue this in court.

Priceline is horrible. They have horrible customer service, they do not stand behind their hotels. I stayed in a hotel I booked with them. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. I was actually afraid to stay in it. I had to go buy my own bedding to sleep in. The area was very sketchy. I will never use Priceline again.

I had mistakenly thought Priceline was reputable and thus cared about the experiences of their customers. It seems they are merely a clearing house and have nothing to do with the services they facilitate. I made the mistake of booking a stay at an inn for a recent visit my daughter and I planned. The inn was a terrible. The toilet was filthy, the room was extremely musty, no circulating air. We had to buy little fans in order to sleep. Being a Holiday there were no other accommodations and we were far from home.
I contacted the inn about the visit, they have not addressed my concerns as yet. I contacted Priceline since they were the go between and it was through them that I booked my stay. They were not helpful nor concerned at all. You have no recourse, it seems. Priceline is not interested and they tell you that you need to take it up with the vendor. Yet this inn was misrepresented by Priceline. There should be some culpability, some assistance, but no, there is not. I would never use Priceline again nor recommend. It is a shame because it was easy to use, I liked the app, just not worth doing business with a company that does not care about its customers

NEVER trust Priceline!!! They included photos of a nearby water park for the hotel we booked. We naturally assumed the hotel we booked had a pool. However, we were informed the hotel had no pool. They were simply including photos of things the city offers in the hotel’s gallery. Very disgusting. There is also ZERO customer service to help you.

Terrible. Can't get ahold of someone that cares or that understands your request. Have talked to them on phone and chats. It is terrible. If you want your time wasted and you feel the need to repeat yourself several times and you are looking for a reason to be committed to a mental hospital....this place is for you. Oh and there are other people on my Priceline account that I don't know and I can see their private card info and email. This being said, they can probably see yours too.

I will NEVER use Priceline again for anything! I booked a rental car 3 months in advance of the May 2024 Memorial holiday. Everything appeared to be fine. I checked in with Dollar/Hertz rental online with my ID a day ahead of leaving on Friday night of the Memorial weekend. I received a message on my cell stating that I could choose my car before arriving to pickup at the airport. I went through all the prompts and when I arrived at the airport to pickup the car, I was prompted that Dollar was closed and I could get a car through Hertz that owns Dollar.
After all that, the car size I originally asked for was not available and I was offered huge SUV or an electrical car that would need to be charge for my trip 6 hours away. I am highly upset with Priceline and Hertz/Dollar because I did not ask for the cars I was presented and did not go on my trip that night! Thanks for not accommodating me because I will no longer be using Priceline or Hertz/Dollar rental car services!!

If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would. One. Incredibly rude customer service representatives. I got a ticket to see my brother graduate from basic training with the insurance recommended by them in case something happened or I needed to change my flight. My brother’s date got moved up to where he was leaving a day earlier. So I called to change my ticket since I’m super far from home and I don’t know the area at all. Was told by multiple representatives that I was not allowed to change my ticket, despite the insurance. However, they told me I could cancel my return flight with **no** refund/credit towards a new ticket, where I could book a new one completely out of pocket again. When I asked them if they were joking cause that was absurd, was told it wasn’t their problem. Absolutely garbage company.

DO NOT BOOK thru Priceline.com unless you would like to be ripped off! I booked a hotel thru priceline.com and when I got to the hotel, it was closed and no one was able to rent me a room. I cannot express enough: DO NOT RENT WITH PRICELINE.

I made a HUGE mistake booking a United Vacation package that turns out to be PRICELINE! What a SHOCK to find out while checking in today that the “fare” did not include any seat on the plane!? I had to spend an additional $180 for my two seats! Next was the rental reservation thru Budget. I have recently had 2 knee replacements and called for over an hour, multiple departments only to find out there is not an option to Fastbreak with a Priceline reservation. Nor is there any handicap option! Also the rental car is non refundable which the vacation had a refund when booked months ago! I am afraid to get to the hotel and see what additional charges await me! I almost threw up tonight when I saw a Priceline commercial! Total run around. None of the departments had answers! Terrible experience and customer service!

I used Priceline to book with Routes Car Rentals @ O'Hare Chicago. I read all the negative reviews, then Read that I needed to have Out of State ID, flight schedule/plane tickets, Credit Card & insurance. So I thought I'm good right?? Wrong!!! The guy told me since I've been in Chicago for a week already that makes me a local. What???? I have a Mississippi license, a credit card, full coverage insurance & my plane ticket info into & out of Chicago!!! I had been here for 6 days & fly back out in a week. Wanted a rental only for the weekend (thru Priceline).
So, Since I didn't rent the car as soon as I got off the plane.... I'm a local. Seriously, I had just paid $25. To get to this Crappy Routes Rental from Shriners Hospital then had to catch a ride with routes Shuttle service....ride with him to drop off a van full of people at the airport, then he dropped me off at the Rental Car Garage 10255 west Zemke Boulevard, Chicago, Ill 60666 where I used BUDGET and didn't have any problems!
The Airport Shuttles & buses can drop you off there & they have Budget, Enterprise, Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar & a couple more in the same Building altogether!! Very easy access to rent & return!! Easy access to all of the Rental Companies. Not much walking, Snack bars & Restrooms Handicap accessible, Elevator & Escalator inside. Do yourself a Favor, Rent from Anyone else Other than Routes by O'Hare!! I sat in the Rental Car Complex Area, found another deal thru Priceline, booked, then walked over to the Budget Counter & was out within 15 mins. Now, I'm trying to get my money refunded from Priceline! I've called twice, I called May 18th the same day Routes wouldn't rent to me. I called again today, because the CS lady didn't understand me on the 18th. Now, I have to wait for a refund! This should have been automatic since Routes didn't rent to me.

OYO Hotel Las Vegas Oasis and Priceline Fail. We planned a trip to Vegas and did it with Priceline booking. The images of this hotel are old and misleading, and this location was a dump; we had been hiking all day in the area, and when we were ready to get to the hotel and get cleaned up, we drove up to unsavory people walking the front entrance of this location and the hotel lobby was run down and smelled terrible, they charged you a key deposit. They were very unfriendly. We received the last room on the right side of the parking lot, where they kept all the trash, and it didn't smell good once again. When we pulled up and walked to the door, the doorknob was falling off the door; after entering the room, it smelled inside and was disgusting, and the bathroom was in no better condition than the rest of this hotel. The bed had a sheet (not a fitted sheet, just a sheet), and the bed had blood stains and dirt. The current was closed using black duct tape.
We walked in and out, returned the keys, and booked a room with Westin Hotel in Lake Mead. We did not use Priceline, who was less than helpful with this book and sided with the hotel, and we had to dispute all charges with my credit card company. Please do not use Priceline. They will not help you, but they will screw you and take your money.

I’m writing to let the public know about my current and recent horrible experience with Priceline. I had a duplicative hotel reservation that just needed to be cancelled. Priceline kept claiming they emailed the hotel (Atlantis resort) and that they just needed an email confirmation from Atlantis and they would cancel and refund me. Priceline also promised they would email me and keep me posted but they never did. When I never received a follow up from Priceline I took matters in my own hands and called the hotel directly and spoke to the manager who informed me Priceline never sent them an email. The hotel even confirmed they would gladly respond to Priceline and cancel. Furthermore the hotel said they just needed Priceline to confirm they would refund the customer before they cancel and issue the refund to Priceline so Priceline doesn’t keep the money.
I believe Priceline has most certainly lied to me and just wants to keep the money they inappropriately kept from me. It is unprofessional and unethical as it was a hotel reservation that was duplicative and was never used. Priceline is profiting from taking advantage of its customers. I’m very dissatisfied and will most certainly be booking directly with hotels in the future. Do not use Priceline or third party vendors. It’s all a scam.

I purchased a round-trip flight, however, the only reason I purchased the flight was because at the time it was very cheap and Priceline offers trip protection. Therefore, I purchased the tickets with the intent that I will be able to cancel my flight if I have any life changes. Long story short, I called the airline to cancel my flight about 1 week and a half later. They canceled my flight and said the money will be used as a cancelation fee and that I should call the trip protection offered by Priceline to submit a claim, which I did. Xcover (the trip protection company through Priceline.com) denied my claim, then stated that coverage is not offered under the terms of the policy. So they just take my money and I lost all that money I spent on the tickets.

I had a long trip from Honolulu to Montevideo. Priceline showed an itinerary that was 10 hours shorter than other flight booking sites and the cost was similar. #1 I could not select seats for any of my 6 flights (roundtrip) except the first flight and I paid $171 to select seats. I ended up with a standard middle seat for all but one sort leg. I also could not get boarding passes for all legs so I was technically a 'stand-by' passenger for the last 2 legs of my return flight. I have been scammed! I booked a hotel stay at the La Quinta Inn - Downtown New Orleans through Priceline. The staff FRAUDUENTLY charged me an incidental fee of $200.00, which they STILL refuse to refund! As of today, I have not received my money back!!!! It is now May!!! I submitted a claim though my bank and LaQuinta produced documents allegedly showing that the total charged $211.30 (what they presented as an incidental fee) was actually the cost for my hotel stay! I stayed for (2) nights! I paid for this trip using Priceline (backend Affirm).
I have the Priceline confirmation and receipts showing that full payment was rendered prior to check in. This was a prepaid trip. I am fighting this now and will likely need to pursue legal action against them. I have tried to call the front desk at LaQuinta, Downtown New Orleans, and the reservation number several times (I called reservation just to get someone on the phone), and the phone either rings out, or the call is picked up and mysteriously dropped. LaQuinta is owned by Wyndham, so I called the that corporate office - get this THEY COULD NOT GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE EITHER. This is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!! DO NOT stay at this hotel and be aware of this scam! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else! You will regret it!

I booked the trip on Wednesday accidentally which would have already put me into the penalty category. I was not alerted to this fact whatsoever. It just said easily refundable. I used Priceline to switch to another hotel closer to my girlfriends on Collins Street and when I canceled Priceline charged me a penalty because I canceled within 3 days of my travel. I understand one mistake but two mistakes. Then I call customer service and they tell me there will be an investigation within 24 hrs when the hotel is booked for the next day. Plus I'm out of town for a family member funeral dealing with. This very unacceptable and unprofessional on priceline behalf. I will never deal with this company again.
They gave me false information the first time. Now they book me a hotel in a state where I'm not at or going and I have to see if they will refund me on their behalf of messing up my reservation. Had the worst experience ever while renting a car. We came from Canada to United States with two kids and rented a car from Priceline before our arrival to avoid any inconvenience. All the details were entered online and there were no requirements or instructions mentioned for car collection. We arrived at 11pm at night to get the car with our luggage at the hotel and the representative refused us the car as our driver’s license was Canadian. I have rented so many cars and never have I ever faced this issue.
We rented the car for our entire trip and it costed around 550USD. The representative there didn’t even cancel our booking. We came home, called the customer service and they said that the refund will be processed within 10 days. It has been more than two and a half weeks, we contacted the customer service again and they are still saying, "We have forwarded your issue and you will receive an email once it is resolved." I was in town for the day or actually the weekend. It was to surprise my kids and I hadn’t heard back from my son whether they have space at their house for me to stay because this was last minute. I decided to get a hotel so I called Priceline. The woman that made my reservations was amazing! She was outgoing and friendly! She thought for herself and made conversation like anybody in customer service should do… Especially over the phone! She was a delight! My son called me 30 to 45 minutes later telling me that for sure they had space and to cancel my reservation. I couldn’t get any help via chat because it’s only automated and it only goes by certain words.
When I called, I was put on hold for quite a while and the woman I got was horrid. She had zero personality. Went completely by script and did not really answer my questions. She let me know that the reservation was past the day that I was supposed to stay… Which I didn’t understand because it was actually today that I made the reservation and today when I’m supposed to stay… And the special deal I had, made it nonrefundable. I was not offered any refundable deal and no one said anything to me. I let her know that I had just made the appointment within 45 minutes and I noticed at the time for the cancellation was about the same time or actually before I hung up with the customer service person from reservations. She let me know that she was from customer service and not reservations Multiple times.
She told me I could contact the hotel. She also told me that she would escalate it to see if there was anyway I could get my money back but it’s going to be a little bit. So I asked if she meant days or hours And she just kept saying no ma’am. So there was no cotton clearance there. I’ve been asked her if she could call the hotel for me and she said no, but I was more than welcome to call them myself but I can’t put her on hold because she would have to release the call after four minutes. So I asked her again if she would call the hotel for me and she replied no. So I told her I would go to a different phone and call the hotel while I was on the phone with her therefore she wouldn’t be on hold and she said that she would only wait for four minutes and then hang up on me.
The whole time I was driving, I was speaking to her and she kept repeating the same stuff that was not answering any of my questions. She laughed at me and she was mocking me to people there with her. I could hear them laughing and hear her saying things and then she would get on the phone and say no ma’am I’m not making fun of you. So I asked her a clear question of how much would I have had to pay and how much would this reservation? Have been to get the option to be able to cancel the reservation. What cost would I have had to pay for this exact reservation in order for it to be able to be canceled. Pretty cut and clear. She never gave me an answer and told me I couldn’t add to this reservation. Kept telling me she was going to hang up on me in four minutes. Told me I was never gonna get my money back but she was waiting to escalate it, I only was able to get off the phone and refrain from speaking with her.
She told me she gets paid per person that she’s talks to and so she really didn’t wanna be on the phone with me any longer because there is nothing she could do. She didn’t answer any of my questions. She did not help me in anyway. Priceline is a scam for sure! And I’ve used them many times and I’ve only had to call customer service twice and both times it was a horrendous experience! I did try to call the hotel but I was put on hold for about 15 minutes before I hung up.
The whole fact that she said she’s not there for customer service that she’s there to get paid and she gets paid per customer is just sickening to me as a customer service professional. I’ve done phone customer service like this and there is no way on earth I would’ve let any of my employees any customers like this. We are supposed to go as customer service people… We are supposed to go over and beyond for the customers like even just calling the hotel for them or waiting on the line while they figured stuff out because honestly this call probably took about 25 minutes and it could’ve taken 10. Priceline has great people for the reservations but customer service is horrendous!!!!

I'm glad I checked ahead of time, we would've not had a room to stay in. I ended up making the reservation directly with the hotel and cancelling my priceline "reservation". They did give me a full refund plus about $100 to help cover the higher price I'm now paying.

I was strung along for over a month thinking I’d get a refund due to illness (booked same day that I tried to cancel). Was told to call the hotel, I got the hotel to agree to refund, etc., yet they still wouldn’t refund. The decision for a ‘no’ should’ve been given the very day I called. Experienced poor communication with a few reps who didn’t communicate clearly, and also a few very vice reps. Unfortunately, it is very clear that Priceline does not prioritize the customer experience. I was a VIP member and always booked through Priceline. I will now never use them again.

I think it is pretty crappy I wasn't refunded. Reservation wasn't even there for 1 hour but hey let's keep $240 for nothing. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK.

I had a confirmed rental through Priceline in Sept. 2023 for our trip to see the solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024 in Austin, MN. When my wife and I landed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on April 7, 2024 and proceeded to pick up our reserved car but we were told there were no cars available. Easirent was the car rental place that Priceline used for that time. Easirent could not help us so we were out of a car. There was no prior communication to us that there would be no cars available prior to our arrival. There were huge lines of people at the Austin, TX airport waiting to pick up their confirmed rental cars at all of the rental agencies. We chose Avis in getting a car and asked for the same type of car but the only choices left that day was a pickup and a minivan. Our hands were tied so we chose the cheaper of the two available vehicles which was the minivan. We were lucky to rent a car at all.
It appeared that Priceline overbooked rental cars and could not fulfill their part of the rental agreement. Priceline eventually refunded us our original rental agreement which was good. However, I had to pay double the cost for the minivan for the same number of days. I felt that I should not have to pay the extra cost for the higher end vehicle because of Priceline's failure to fulfill their contract agreement. I would have rented a more reasonably priced vehicle had I been notified prior to my arrival when more options were available. I requested a reimbursement of $460.95 which is the difference between the original rental agreement of $338.16 and the $799.11.
Also, in order to get reimbursed for the original contract I was asked to cancel that agreement. Ultimately had to pay much more for a vehicle I forced to rent. It took a month going back and forth with Priceline but ultimately the finance department declined my request so I ended up eating the $460.95 cost. I won’t be using Priceline in the future and I would not recommend them to anyone else. I gave them 2 stars b/c they did refund my original rental cost.

This morning I received an email from Priceline stating they reached out to the people at the motel and was told I didn't report no issues. Well as I had told Priceline when I called Sunday right after the incident that there was no to contact as the lady was the only person available. Clerk got reservation reinstated and said we had a balance of $144. Ok fine, I called Priceline, they said, "Oh we show you as paid in full. You will need to contact our partner Agoura."
I called them, they said, "You are paid in full, need to get with hotel." I call an ambulance and when they arrived they couldn't find my room so they stopped at the office. Office staff asked emergency services what my name was. Emergency services were unable to provide hotel staff with me name due to HIPAA privacy policy. When the ambulance wouldn't give them my name, the hotel clerk sent away the ambulance. The whole time I'm in my room in extreme pain, and suffering. Luckily the ambulance called me back and got me the services I desperately needed at the time.
I've been calling Priceline for the last week and a half trying to get them to resolve the issue. I was told when initially calling that it would be resolved within two business days. I had since spoken to multiple supervisors at Priceline and it's been over a week and a half and the issue is still not resolved and they are telling me to wait another five business days. Do yourself a favor and put the Better Business Bureau on speed dial before you book with priceline.com and their affiliate booking.com. If you have a credit from a cancelled flight that’s still valid, you’re never gonna be able to use it because Priceline is a scam and make it very difficult. Save your money and book through actual airline. The fact that I’ve spoken to 4 agents and 3 managers for the past month trying to book my flight with my credit that’s still valid is absurd. They make every excuse not to book your flight for some reason. The most recent thing that happened is where it gets better, the manager sent me a whole itinerary with no reservation number, just booking code which doesn’t work when I enter it on Priceline or Turkish airlines.
When I spoke with both parties, they said there is no booking. Funny though the manager made sure to charge my credit card. If it doesn’t make sense to you, yeah it doesn’t to me either. I’m in shock how such a big company can do this. Then when I asked why they said it was just pending from when the manager tried to book the flight. It is not pending, it went through. She said they would have to investigate with the accounts dept which would take a few days. When I asked for a receipt to prove it was “refunded” or whatever she said she does not have access. At this point I don’t trust Priceline and my credit will probably never be redeemed because this company is a joke.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if you are reading this, do not book with Priceline. It was my first time and definitely my last. All I wanted was something simple, to use my credit, that is all, yet every phone call I made the booking just wouldn’t go through. After looking at other reviews and seeing people’s stories on TikTok (yes TikTok) I see this is a common problem that unfortunately I knew before. To Whom it May Concern, I am writing to inform you for the absolutely disgusting treatment of both companies, Priceline and the Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE. I live in Ontario Canada, and frequently use Priceline and suggest Priceline to friends and family. I will not be doing this anymore and will be informing communities publicly to be aware when using these companies. I intended to book a last minute travel with my husband and two daughters to meet their relatives, for the first time in Buffalo New York. As I was booking on Priceline, an option showed up “Recommendations based on your previous booking”. I had booked at Holiday Inn Grand Island Buffalo New York, previously for a funeral, when I saw “Holiday Inn Express Grand Island” I clicked it, saw a reasonable price, our days were available, and then red writing that said “Only 1 room left at this price”. I was so excited I clicked and paid.
We began our drive to cross the border from Canada into the US. As we were about half an hour away from the boarder, I put the address of the hotel into our GPS and, it was at that moment I realized I had booked a hotel in “Grand Island NE” and not “Grand Island NY”. My instant thought was “Oh! Well, that was a silly mistake, I’ll just call Priceline and explain, and they will switch my reservation to the correct state”. Well, I was completely wrong! From the moment I called, I was told “No, your reservation is non-refundable”. A reservation, that Priceline, 'recommended for me', which was NOT by the way based on a previous stay, and a warning, that I would miss out if I did not BOOK NOW.
I pushed further and the lady offered to call NE to try to cancel it for me. When she returned, she still informed me “NO, NE would not cancel, therefore Priceline would not cancel” This was completely disheartening to hear. I proceeded to ask for a supervisor or manager. As I waited on hold, getting closer to the border, anxious that we had nowhere to stay in Buffalo and two screaming kids in the back, I went from being hopeful and happy dealing with Priceline and Holiday Inn Grand Island NE, to sad and deflated. I couldn’t understand why the customer service representatives could not empathize with our situation and were unwilling to help.
By the time a manager came online, she reiterated the exact same story. She then called NE for me and asked for a refund, in which they responded no. I pleaded with her on the phone and asked her to connect me to NE so I could speak to them myself. When I spoke with the supervisor at Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE, the lady became rude, and angry that I would even ask. Explained that her Manager “Already to her No” She then stated that it was Priceline’s mistake, therefore they should refund my money, and “suck up the cost”. I got teary, crying on the phone and she still refused. She seemed more empathetic that I was crying, but still nothing.
I then called Priceline back, and I spoke to a representative who then forwarded me to Mike, employee number **. He reiterated the same thing. Mike continued to use the line “I understand but..” which clearly he had been trained to use, however, he did not understand. He had no desire to understand, he did not care that I was crying or that $300US, converted to Canadian, was a lot of money for our young family, to go on a two-night trip. He did not empathize with us at all and again and again, I kept hearing “I understand… it’s policy…” I informed him, that Priceline would still get our money, but I would just like it transferred to the proper state, I was still even willing to book with the same hotel chain.
At this point, I went from sad and disheartened, at the lack of empathy and humanity that this hotel chain and Priceline employees were exhibiting, to angry and apoplectic with both companies. I had never been treated so unfairly by representatives, who are supposedly here to help. Where was the Care, compassion, decency for not only customers, but people. There is a real problem with our society when a company, whose net worth is over $ 79 billion can not refund a young, growing family $300US. It takes a long time for us to save that kind of money. I realize it is pennies to the big CEOs and even employees of Priceline, but to us, it is so much more. It is a difference between, putting gas in our car, and being able to eat dinner at a “family restaurant”.
It was totally degrading, and I felt totally humiliated that I had succumbed to begging for $300. It was completely demoralizing, and yet all I received was a well-rehearsed, well-trained, robotic employee “I understand…” To add to the blow, Mike informed me that his manager was “unavailable” and “unwilling” to take my call, that he, in fact he would call me back in 3-5 hours. This was on Friday and after a frustrating, tension-filled night, with fighting and crying, I still have not received a phone call from anyone. I am, however, left with a second hotel bill, in the US with no wifi, or hot water, a plugged tub that would not drain when we showered (we also spoke to someone about this, and it was never resolved) a massive headache, and a bag of beef jerky that my family is sharing for breakfast, and two girls with tummy pains. Thank you, Priceline and Holiday Inn Express Grand Island NE you have helped make my family's dreams come true!
Sincerely, emotionally exhausted and dejected,Jennifer

No one from Priceline called the hotel because the hotel didn't have phone service. This repeated on the 8th April and 9th of April. On the 9th of April, the customer service rep told me they would try to call the hotel again, they put me on hold. I waited at the hotel with the manager and owner for Priceline to call the hotel.. (Hotel phone are not working) 14 mins later priceline customer service rep said they contacted the hotel and was told that I was a no show to the hotel on the 6th of April.
Myself, the hotel manager and the owner looked at each other puzzled because the landlines weren't operating. I ask the customer service rep to speak with management or a supervisor, they said they don't have any working there with that title, and or position. So, why not tell the truth. QUESTION: PRICELINE customer service under new management? I have been with Priceline since 2008, I have never had an issue with them, until now..

I have been trying to work with Priceline for over a week regarding a pre-paid car rental in Dallas. The reservation was set up with "Airport Van Rental" (AVR) at DFW. My flight was delayed. I called AVR to make sure my rental would be available when I landed. I was advised over the phone that their office closed at 4 pm, but they requested that I check-in on-line and call the number back when I landed. I did both, but nobody would answer the phone (4:30 pm). After about 30 min, I left a call back number and they called me about 15 min later. I was told that I needed to provide a credit card for a $200 deposit over the phone in order to get picked up.
Based on the sketchy service at this point, I was not comfortable doing this, so they cancelled my reservation. Priceline would do nothing to help provide a replacement car rental. I have been going back and forth with Priceline for over a week now and they are still unable to provide my refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING PRICELINE FOR TRAVEL.

Priceline is a Fraudulent Company that is hell bent on keeping your money even if the vendor or merchant they are associated with does not deliver the product or service promised during your booking. They put a no cancellation clause in the agreement when you prepay for the service or reservation, so they can keep your money even the merchant does not render the service!
I rented a car through Priceline from Hertz in Orlando, Florida on President's Week on Feb 17, 2024 and had prepared for it 30 days in advance to get about a $100 discount! Big mistake, when I got to the Hertz Car Rental At Orlando International Airport and Hertz had no vehicle available for me to use/rent and Priceline told me and my credit card co. That because of the no cancellations policy that was in play when I prepared, that I could not get a refund. Even though I didn’t cancel, it was Hertz that could not provide a vehicle to me. This is very fraudulent & dishonest, they should be investigated by Connecticut Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, & Consumer Affairs!

The flight not so bad, the car rental is not at the airport, you are shuttled to this unknown car rental company 15 minutes down the road. Now keep in mind, you have to wait for them to pick you up. Get to ROUTES car rental, where they try to put me in something I did not reserve. I requested a small compact car, they wanted me in a full size truck. I had to PAY extra to get a small car, that I had already paid for! ROUTES car rental makes you use credit card for a 500.00 deposit and badgers you with extra fees, toll road packages, paying extra for insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Finally get to the hotel to find out I have more very high deposit to stay there! I repeatedly tried calling priceline to cancel this "Package" Deal I bought. The customer service was fine, but they were out of the room I previously reserved. They sold me an "upsell" which increased the price by approximately $70 a night. The halls of the hotel look old and dingy, the rooms look dreary with this old Hollywood type look. The screens to the patio was so dirty and dusty, you don't even want to go outside. Let's not even talk about the water running to the shower that takes 10-15 minutes to heat up. The sinks leak and need replacing, etc.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel, there are plenty other places to stay that are nice and updated. On 03/13/24, I purchased a prepaid rental car though Priceline, for a trip to Phoenix on March 23rd. On March 22nd, I received a second confirmation, with a link to the reservations with a link to the Thrifty Car Rental website so that I could check into my reservation (Thrifty Confirmation Code **) in advance. I clicked on the link, which took me to a page on the Thrifty site that said that no rental reservation existed with that confirmation number. I contacted Thrifty directly and they confirmed that there was no reservation for the requested dates or under my name, and that the Confirmation Number was not valid. It was very fortunate that I clicked on that link, because if I had just showed up at the rental counter, they would have had no car for me and I would have been forced to purchase an entirely new reservation at a much higher cost.
I contacted Priceline immediately, and after a long wait I was that they needed to call Thrifty themselves because "sometimes the Priceline reservations are in a different system and don't show up for the Thrifty representative." Priceline put me on hold while they tried to call Thrifty, but when they found out that the wait time was ten minutes, they cancelled the call because "they can't wait on hold more than two minutes." I escalated the issue, and after another long wait and a series of holds, they told me that it was too late in the evening to call Thrifty, and they would have to try again in the morning (the day of my flight).
I called early and after another long wait and series of holds, they managed to confirm with Thrifty that the reservation didn't exist, and instead of trying to make a new reservation, they said they could only offer me a refund. Since they gave me no other choice, I accepted the refund, which took three days to post back to my credit card. The only saving grace was that Kayak got me a car that day for only about $40 more, with absolutely no issues. I will not be using Priceline ever again.

The rental place (AVIS) gave me a Ford explorer which did not work. I explained exactly what my needs were before renting and they said it was the same. I could not use and had to make other arrangements. Took car back within 1.5 hours. No refund. Priceline said same class. They should have researched more and have a specific needs section. Like cargo size, towing capacity, etc. I will not use AVIS or Priceline again. I will also pass this on to my social media friends.

They didn’t accommodate me in any way after my flight was canceled on a two night stay in which I had to pay $800 a night. I was only at the hotel 12hrs. What a rip off. I recommend to never book a hotel through a 3rd party. ESPECIALLY through Priceline!!!

Trying right now to adjust rental car dates, but am being told due to the type of rental I made I cannot adjust the dates or cancel. With this kind of "flexibility" and lack of accountability it is safe to say that I will no longer be using Priceline ever again. This kind of customer service I am not in need of.

I was trying to book a reservation at a hotel, but the website was hijacked by Priceline. The room was to be paid for when I showed up 6 months from now. They jammed it thru with large fees. I immediately cancelled, but they won’t refund my money. Stated they earned it!

I recently booked a 2 night stay online via Priceline. Upon arrival at the hotel, the room was filthy, smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, had black mold, rusty water coming from all the faucets, heat/air conditioning that did not work. There was 1 person on duty and he did not speak English. There was no continental breakfast as advertised. No heat in the lobby, hallways or common areas. No cleaning services, no fresh towels. Sheets that did not fit the bed. Dirty stained mattress pad. Strong food odors throughout the hotel. Just disgusting.
The hotel said they could not refund my money because I booked with Priceline. Priceline said they could not refund my money because the hotel charged my card. Never once did I present my credit card at the hotel - it was all handled by Priceline. Their customer service is a joke. One to find out, my reservation was passed through the backend to Booking.com. They just keep reading from a script and eventually get tired of dealing with you and hang up on you. I escalated to the SVP of North American Operations with Wyndham Corporate and even he referred me back to Priceline/Booking.com.

On March 15, 2024 I booked three tickets to fly home only to not get reimburse. I was told by the staff that an hour suffices to book and get on the plane as I was in the airport. An email was sent for reconsideration of reimbursement for at least one of my two tickets booked where I did not get on the flight with no response to date. After trying via telephone several times.

This site is such a scam. Can't use my $1030 credit towards a $860 flight I picked off their website. Told me credit flights can't use their website prices. Told me it cost $1220 since I'm using credit. Just a huge scam

Priceline does not offer good rates by any stretch of the imagination. They pull you in stating massive discounts, then you find hotel stay, flight, rental, etc. significantly cheaper, however, priceline will not guarantee lowest rates, does not ever credit you back or reimburse your reservations. Do NOT waste your money with priceline. Your purchase is not protected, and customer service is not customer friendly or able to assist.

Wow, what a DUMP! Nothing but problems with the ** starting with the reservation and check in. So we will address the major issues first. It starts with the owner who should have already been run out of town. Honestly is a foreign language to him and obviously is not practiced in his country of origin. Upon check the reservation was wrong and addressed with the night auditor who was also a **. He claimed he would correct it but never did. I explained I would only be staying one night but the reservation said it was for two. At check in I clarified that.
The room, let's talk about the room. Reservation was for a King Size bed NON SMOKING! Arrived at the hotel (DUMP) and did the check in thing. First, Mr. ** second the only thing he had available was on the second floor. My immediate question was, "do you have an elevator"? His answer was no. Florida, a two story hotel with no elevator. Makes one wonder does it even meet state ADA requirements? I Told him (night auditor a Mr. **) that would not work due to steps and no elevator. He continued and said he had a room on the backside of the property first floor.
Went to the room, opened the door and the cover up used to block the smoke sell was enough to choke a horse. Noticed the room was in serious disarray, broken night safety lock, laminate flooring stick up near the bathroom sink, cracked wall in the shower and even came equipped with a used washcloth still in the shower. The room appeared dirty and looked like something you would find on hooker hill or in a crack infested area. So unmaintained, the light on the nightstand was even missing the bulb. Left first thing in the morning after a very bad night's sleep. Left the key in the room as I have for the 100's of nights I have stayed in hotels for business and split.
A couple of days later, Mr. ** decided to charge my CC for the second night making claims in never checked out and housekeeping said I was still there. This ** doesn't have an honest bone in his body. The day I checked out, I was on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean that afternoon, very easy to verify due to customs. This review is from a very experienced traveler who has given great reviews on great places and true reviews on places that should no longer even be in business. This is who runs this DUMP! We purchased a rental car through Priceline. 2 months in advance paid for it. When we arrived at the airport and tried to get ahold of them they wouldn't answer the phones. There was another person had same issue as us and used same place for car rental. After calling multiple times and no answer we had no choice but to rent another car through different car rental. I definitely don't recommend them it all. If I could give them zero star I would.

Will never use Priceline again! Why would you make us pay 18$ for protection to get our money back but ask us for stuff we can't do to get it back? Y'all are crooks! I don't have to explain why I need my money back. I did the claim saying that my cousin's mother was sick so I had to cancel both tickets to repurchase a ticket for myself since he couldn't go and y'all said that it wasn't a valid excuse, so you took over $200. I had no choice but to repurchase my ticket in such short notice but I promise I won't be using y'all again. Y'all should be shut down immediately. Makes no sense. My money is my money you thieves.

Priceline is absolutely awful, their reservations are not even honored by the companies that they set them up with. Multiple times I’ve showed up and not had a car available at the rental car place that I paid for in full. Not only that, but when I’ve paid for it in full weeks ahead, and I show up and not get my car, they are still going to charge me full price even after I’m having to take three sets of Ubers to get through my first day of traveling because of their screwup. Do yourself a favor, and stay as far away from this company as you possibly can, they are garbage, they are awful, they are going to insult you while they steal from you.

I booked a reservation thru Priceline for a 3 day rental for $120 that was charged to my credit card immediately on Feb 1st. I picked up the car on the 8th and immediately they go and try to sell additional coverage insurance, I explained that the car was covered with under my current policy and also had it cover with the credit car company. After returning the car on Feb 11th like the rental agreement I received a invoice for $193 dollars so I immediately called and they refuse to help me. I explained that I was already charged for the rental thru Priceline and they said that I had to call Priceline. After Calling Priceline they told me that I had to call Sixt because they are the one who charged my credit card again. Am still trying to get the charges reverse because for an rental that I reserve for $120 I been charged over $300 so far with Zero empathy or willingness to get this resolve by either parties. Sixt and Priceline are horrible and the reps got zero customer service skills. Stay away!!!

DON'T BOOK WITH PRICELINE! They rip people off! I booked a flight to Costa Rica and paid for a carry-on. I specifically asked if the carry-on was covered both ways through their help chat, which stated it was covered. I had no issue going, but coming back I was told I had no carry-on and had to pay $89.

Made Spirit Airlines Vacations reservation in December 2023 for hotel in February 2024. That reservation turned out to be Priceline. At the time of reservation the screen indicated cancellation up until 2 days prior to arrival. About 6 weeks prior to arrival the airline cancelled the flight. After numerous attempts to cancel or change the hotel reservation, Priceline cancelled it and refused to refund the funds.
