We booked a hotel.. no towels .. no tv.. no toilet paper.. Front desk said maid left for the day and nothing they can do. We called Priceline and asked for refund and rebooked with Priceline.. Both hotel and agent agreed to full refund. Only to get an email with a 13.65 credit and both agent said we need to cancel 24 hours ahead of time. How can this be done when you get to room and this happens!! Book elsewhere and save yourself the hassle!

I have booked a few times with Priceline. Every time has been a Circus! This last time took the cake. I booked a vacation to Hawaii. I just got back and what went on completely ruined my vacation!!!. Hidden charges when I got there. The photos of the room I purchased was nothing like what I got when I arrived. Not even close!!!! And the Hotel would do nothing about it! Priceline offered me 15% off my next travel booking! 15%!!! I spent thousands on this nightmare! You think I'm booking again? Not a chance. We got to the hotel and was taken to a linen closet to check in. Then extorted another 211.14 for cleaning fees. Which the hotel didn't clean your room. They gave you towels every other day if you went to the linen closet and asked. Cockroaches in my room. And even in my refrigerator!!! I could go on and on. What a miserable trip!!!

On July 24, 2023 I arrived in Salt Lake City and needed a hotel. I booked through Priceline and then the nightmare began. I arrive at the hotel and they inform me I need to give them $100 cash as a security deposit. I told them I wouldn’t be staying with them under those circumstances and asked for a refund. They ignored me too. Got on the phone with Priceline and held for 30-40 minutes till one of their agents assured me I would be getting their best effort to secure my refund. A few days later they determine they can’t do anything and give me back to the hotel (who has now refused me and Priceline) to refund my reservation. Still no money

Purchase a flight with Priceline (express). Very reasonable pricing and states guaranteed to have flight with one of the four airlines (American, United, Alaska, or Delta). When I received my itinerary for my reservations, I was not booked with Either airline guaranteed. Instead I was booked with Mokulele airlines (which is a very small plane with horrible reviews). I called Priceline to inquire about this because per their website and guarantee of one of the listed flights Mokulele was not listed. After being on the phone with Priceline and getting transferred to several departments totaling to 2 hours and 13 people including supervisors all I was left with being advised by several agents and both supervisors "The website is incorrect and there's no way for them to honor the price listed on their website for one of the airlines they guaranteed." I advised them that this is false advertisement and my price paid should be honored with one of the airlines guaranteed on their website.

We were on a twelve hour road trip and decided to pull over to get some sleep. We got online, booked the hotel and was there within two hours. No one is at the hotel to let you in. There's a sign on the window that says, "You may have made a reservation but we don't have any rooms." I was not the only customer that they sold the same hotel rooms to. There was another gentleman in the parking lot trying to check in at the same time. An hour on hold after being on the road for 10 hours and it being midnight. Just to get my money back for something. They should have never sold in the first place. Do yourself a favor. Use another company and do not use the OYO Hotel.

Dear Sir, You should know Ace Car Rental is a complete scam. I’ve never before heard of a rental car service at an airport closing for the day. However when we arrived in Charlotte at 9PM and went to pick up our car, we were told the staff had all gone home for the day. They said the mistake was ours because we indicated we’d pick up our car at noon. The company said we’d lost our car and would not be refunded. Yes, we indicated a 2PM pickup but thought that was flexible given this was an airport rental service. It never occurred to us an airport car rental service would be shut down. I’ve learnt my lesson. My use of Ace Car Rental, and Priceline, has come to an end.

I booked a hotel a couple months in advance for my anniversary. It was for February but did not verify, I usually do and it booked for current month November. I received email of thank you for your stay. I realized the mistake and contacted the hotel I reserved for. They verified I did not check in but said only Priceline could resolve this. I contacted priceline three times, two times I was told reservation would be corrected. The third time I received an email I could not be helped. I have lost $300.00 with no compensation of anything. My husband and I do a lot of traveling, we have reserved most of our hotels through priceline. I will make sure we no longer use priceline. Their customer service is misleading.

We had purchased an air/car bundle from Priceline for my daughter and her new husband's honeymoon in Orlando FL. When they got to Flexways Car Rental they were informed that they would need to put up a $750 deposit for the rental car. Then it somehow was raised to $1,000! They did not have that much on a credit card and asked if they could split it between two credit cards and they were told no. Nowhere in any itinerary that we were emailed did it say that they would need to put up such a substantial amount of money for a deposit. My daughter and her husband are in their early 30's, insured, and both have good driving records. And going back and reading the rates and responsibilities page on their website, it doesn't make any sense. They say "US dollar", but then put numbers like "US dollar 400,00." There is not one correct number in their policy.
My daughter texted me with her problem and I told them to use the credit card that I had made the reservation on. I had given it to my daughter in case the car company wanted to see it. Which of course is not in her husband's name, so they would not or could not let them use it. So they contacted another rental car company that had a comparable car for less money and a much less deposit. We cancelled their Flexways car and they were able to finally start their honeymoon, hassle free.
I think that Priceline might want to reconsider using Flexways, for their car rental company. Especially the way they treated my daughter and her husband. Not only did they want a ridiculous amount of money for a deposit, they were extremely rude. I would be concerned if you purchase a package deal that includes Flexways as your car company.

I checked into the Wyndham located at 124 Royal Street on November 9th. On the evening of the November 9th a few hours after checking in I was resting in the room. There was an unexpected light knock at the door. I got up to answer the door but as I approached the door it opened. My eyes were WIDE open as the man stood there. I asked, "What you are doing?" He stated, "Oh this is the wrong room" and left. I opened the door and started to speak as he walked away with his back turned. I asked, "Who you are and why did you enter my room." He stated, "I'm security" and continued to walk away.
I became angry, violated and fearful. I called the front desk and spoke with Greg (MOD). He asked to describe the man. He agreed and said that he was in fact security. I called the front desk and began to speak getting nowhere so I disconnected the call and went down to the front desk for an explanation. I asked but "WHY did he enter my room unauthorized. Nevertheless why was he there? What just happened? Why did that occur?" I left the desk without a transparent explanation. I returned to the room.
Greg called and asked if he could come up to explain what happened. He came up and showed me a two-sided white tag. One side had 1401 and the other side had another four digit number. He said that's why security came to my room. That provided no explanation to provide an understanding to determine WHY security entered my room without prior authorization or knowledge thereof. I trusted the Wyndhan facility to provide me with a safe, secure, clean, professional environment for five days. Your facility failed to provide. I refused to go to my room alone.
Our family occupied six different rooms at this facility. There was no empathy, reassurance of safety, upgrade, compensation or anything offered under such circumstances. I'm hoping you will resolve my concerns. I decided to email you to further investigate. What can or will be done to address my concerns? What can or will be done in the future to be sure such incidents will never occur again? Why wasn't security dressed in security attire? The interaction with the gentleman was less than professional. I asked for a receipt when checking out I was advised since I reserved through a 3rd party I had to call for a receipt. I called Priceline to describe my experience all he could say is we don't offer refunds.

The area was shady but I have already paid. I was chocked to be told I can not wait in the lobby for check in time. I called the customer service and the gentleman told me there is nothing he could do. I requested to speak to the Manager or Supervisor, she told me the same thing. There was nothing she could do to delete my payment info.
However, she said the only way would be to delete all your profile from Priceline, which I did. Never will I ever book anything on Priceline again, they, without the customer's knowledge store all the customer's info in their system. I am writing this to let others aware of what Priceline does. I have used Priceline for 20+ years and they used to have very good common sense customer service personnel. I made a hotel reservation over a month before my planned travel. I found a hotel in the place that I was visiting and booked directly with them. I canceled my original PL reservation 30 days in advance of travel (well within the 48-hour cancellation window stated on Priceline's own website) using the Manage My Reservation Button on Priceline's confirmation email. Subsequent logins showed that the reservation was cancelled in Bannered Red. Well, just because I cancelled with PL didn't mean anything? I was billed for a no show and later told that I needed to cancel with the hotel directly. What the Heck? Priceline dropped the ball. Why even have a cancellation button it doesn't do what it is supposed to do?

My recent vacation to Mexico, booked through Priceline.com, turned into a nightmare due to a major oversight on their part. I booked a package for 2 adults and 2 children (6-year-olds) encompassing flight and hotel. While we successfully secured our flight tickets for all four of us, the hotel arrangement fell short, causing substantial inconvenience and unexpected expenses.
Upon arriving in Mexico, we were shocked to discover that the hotel reservation only covered accommodations for 2 adults. To add insult to injury, the hotel insisted on charging an exorbitant $100 per child per night, amounting to an unforeseen $1000 expense for our 5-night stay. The ensuing customer service experience with Priceline.com and Booking.com was nothing short of frustrating. Priceline.com informed me that the hotels are booked through Booking.com and transferred me to their customer service. However, Booking.com redirected me back to Priceline.com, creating a maddening cycle of finger-pointing. Both companies acknowledged the error but refused to provide a resolution.
After two hours of back-and-forth calls, my frustration reached its peak, leading me to suggest a three-way call to resolve the issue promptly. Shockingly, the call was abruptly terminated by both parties, leaving me stranded without a solution. This level of customer service is disappointing, to say the least. Priceline.com, it's time to address these fundamental issues; otherwise, your standing in the industry may suffer irreparably. Such lapses in service can tarnish your reputation, and customers deserve better than a runaround between two companies.
I am now considering legal action to address the financial and emotional toll this ordeal has taken on my vacation. It is my hope that Priceline.com takes swift action to rectify the situation before such measures become necessary. Customers should not be left with no alternative but to seek legal recourse for issues that could be resolved through fair and responsible business practices.

I rented a car through Priceline at Next Car. This rental cost me an additional $297 because Next Car ONLY recognizes their own list of insurance companies. This list is never disclosed until you actually pick up the car. I am insured by the highest rated company in my state. Not on their list. I could have rented a car at one of the legacy car rentals for what I ended up paying for this rental. Three people in front of me at the rental counter had the same problem. This is a case of hidden information and hidden costs because the only option after your insurance company is rejected is to insure through them.

No cars were available and the lobby was full of people waiting or sleeping hoping a car would show up. The attendant told me to come back at 7:30 am and I might be able to get a car then. Priceline would not try to find me another car. I walked to AVIS at 2:00 am and found a comparable car there. I called Priceline and they said they would refund the difference in fees from my original reservation. As per their instructions I filed a claim with them on Sep 27. No word from them. I called Nov 9, 2023 and they said to file the claim again. Never again will I go with Priceline. This company offers you discount on the price and then puts that difference in price in your taxes and fees. So when I called company to ask for the breakdown on taxes and fees nobody at call centre was able to give me what percent was taxes and what fees were charged. Even I was transferred to manager (who seemed less knowledgeable than initial agent I spoke to) was not able to give me detail on taxes and fees. Manager ended call saying he will send me details by email and ended call. And guess what? He send me generic email with information in taxes and fees different from different places but no information on what percent was tax and fees. I also tried to double check the price again using same hotel and same Priceline website.
Guess what? My tax rate was 13% like all other website including hotel's official website. (Room price $78.17 per night for 6 nights = $468 plus tax was $70) so I calculated the taxes they charged me on my express deal discount was 25%. (Room price $56 per night for 6 nights = $336 and tax was $85.20). So in reality they didn't offer any discount on express deal. All they did was take some price off room charge and add them to taxes and fees. When I called agent just kept saying I agreed to price and kept repeating same that my room price is 56 per night and my taxes are $85 for about 25 minutes but no one was able to give me tax percentage or fees that were changed. He blamed that system generates price automatically. Be watchful for future and never trust Priceline again.

I told her I could email her the copy I received prior to check out and the policy I agreed to by continuing to purchase the ticket because I screen shotted it in case I needed to refer to it later and that’s when I got hung up on again. Recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Priceline.com that left me with no option but to leave a zero-star review. Priceline.com provided me with the wrong location for the property I booked, rendering my reservation completely useless. I had no choice but to cancel my stay, and the way Priceline handled the situation was beyond disappointing.
When I arrived at the location indicated by Priceline, I was shocked to discover that the property was situated somewhere entirely different. This mix-up was entirely the fault of Priceline.com, as I had relied on their platform for accurate booking information. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. When I reached out to Priceline's customer support, I expected them to take responsibility for their error and help me find a solution promptly. However, I was met with indifference, a complete lack of empathy, and an unwillingness to admit fault.
Their customer service representatives seemed uninterested in my predicament and were uncooperative in resolving the issue. Despite the glaring mistake on their part, Priceline refused to take any responsibility and insisted that the error was mine. This is not the level of service I expected from a company that I entrusted with my travel plans. Priceline left me stranded with no assistance and no effort to rectify their mistake.
In the end, I had no choice but to make a new reservation directly with the hotel, incurring additional expenses. This left me not only financially worse off but also deeply dissatisfied with Priceline's incompetence and their inability to rectify the situation they created. I strongly advise against using Priceline.com for any travel bookings. Their customer service is subpar, and their unwillingness to admit fault or rectify their mistakes is unacceptable. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I will never trust or use their services again.

Sorry in advance as it is gonna be a tiny part of a very bad experience but still too long. But Please read it before buying their product. We booked our trip as a package via Booking.com and Priceline. A couple of weeks before the trip something came up and we were forced to cancel the package. When we called them to cancel it, they told us you have to cancel the hotel separately and each flight separately and you have to personally do it. So we paid for international calls to call the hotel to cancel it and lost 2 night money as penalty. Then we asked them to cancel our flights but they cancelled them separately and deducted $100 from each leg and they would not give us our money but travel credit.
Oh! it will get worse! The credit is limited to a year to use it otherwise it will expire! and you can not use it any other way you have to call us only to find you a flight to use it. A year passed and we were forced to use it or let it go. So we paid for data roaming again and international calls to call their number and they booked us 2 flights separately with no checked bags, separate legs that on return we will end up on Edmonton instead of our home city Calgary and we had to pay another 300 USD as they billed us. Not to mention for one leg they told us it is $144 and asked us if you confirm. We confirmed and then they emailed the invoice for 200 USD!
The customer service staff were inexperienced and to be honest kind of indifferent toward travel concerns of a passenger. I will never ever buy a package from Booking.com and absolutely recommend not to use Priceline services as they had me my worst travel experience in my whole life. It's not about the price, it's the principle of this debauchery and tomfoolery... and if I were on a budget like the poor people here in the Philippines, this would be a real big problems as 3x 730 pesos for breakfast is some people's entire week's salary here. Nonsense.
Plus no ac was listed and they told me it wasn't an amenity lolol? But I had one anyways, that didn't work. I go to priceline to see about the issue of breakfast and they kept telling me to talk to agoda about it... I don't remember ever using Agoda... total trash of a company. Never use them. Ever. This is regarding a motel room I booked through Priceline. My family and I had a flight delay that was going to cause us to miss our connecting flight in Raleigh-Durham. At approximately 6 pm in Fort Lauderdale I become aware that getting to Raleigh-Durham in time to catch the connecting flight to Nashville was not going to happen. I then booked and PAID for a motel room at Extended Stay of America in Raleigh-Durham.
The Priceline website said that if you were not going to be able to make check in by 9 PM, you should call the motel and let them know (I don't see why that is necessary since I have ALREADY PAID for the room, but whatever). So at around 6:30 I called the Extended Stay motel and informed them that according to the airline's approximation we would not get into Raleigh-Durham until around 9:30 PM, but that I would DEFINITELY be there and to hold my room. They said, "As long as you're here by 12 AM, you should be okay" (once again WHY? When I have already paid for the room). So as stated, we arrived in Raleigh-Durham around 9:30. I then get a $28 taxi and have them drop us off at the Motel around 10:20 pm. After the cab pulls away, the motel informs me they don't have ANY rooms. I tell them I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to do, but that made no difference.
Incidently, another gentleman comes in to get his room that he had made reservations for through Priceline, and his room was not available either. So I then call Priceline and speak to multiple non-American representatives that do nothing to solve my problem. I then spend another hours attempting to get a $35 taxi back to the Raleigh-Durham airport. Me and my family attempted to sleep on a cold hard floor in the Raleigh-Durham airport for 6 hours until I flight back to Nashville departed. Let me also say that the Extended Stay of America motel (the motel Priceline.com represented) was a terrible place! There appeared to be a gang convention going on, and the place smelled like month old cigarettes butts. And what did I get for ALL my problems and the extra $63 I paid in cab fare? Priceline.com saw fit to give me $13 more than I was originally charged for the room. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Priceline.com is dead to me.

I showed them my confirmation details, they verified that everything looked correct, but they still could not locate me in the system. They did have an available room which I was able to reserve directly, but at a higher rate. Although Priceline did arrange for a refund/cancellation, no explanation could be offered as to why I disappeared from the hotel's system. When I asked Priceline about getting a voucher/credit for the additional amount I had to pay, the first agent told me no. Their supervisor just sent me a "5% off" coupon with restrictions and only a few months to use it. I will not be using Priceline again.

Used Priceline to book a rental car at Orlando Airport where there are 10 onsite car rental companies, some of which are smaller. The default suggestion booked me with an offsite company and was non-refundable. I checked the address before booking and the address said MCO (which is the airport initials). I guess I have to actually compare the address of the airport to the address of the rental company in the future. The shuttle runs every half hour and not 24 hours. I tried to get in contact with a live person at the car rental agency for an hour but was unsuccessful. I can't imagine why Priceline didn't just suggest an onsite car rental company instead of this two bit operation? Awful experience, I'll never use Priceline again.

I placed the order, it tells me it was unable to purchase flight protection, then says it charged my card $529. I saw that the baggage charge was $265. Makes no sense if bags are $61 each. I call and was told that 2 bags each way were purchased. Again if bags are $61 x 6 = $244 not $265. Checked my credit card and they actually charged me $552 in 2 separate transactions. ($514 + $38) Call Priceline and they automatically send me to Spirit. After being on hold for 50 minutes Spirit said they could credit me the difference in the baggage, I don't fly often so the credit is pointless.
Called Priceline and after being bounced around for 4 hrs, I just canceled the entire flight and wanted to purchase with a live rep, transferred me and after another 30 minutes was given a quote of $392 and I had an online quote of $263.78 with $18 trip protection and the rep tells to order online and hangs up. So I order online for $263.78. Check my account and I have 2 charges again 1 for $263.78 and another for $19. Upon checking with Priceline, they told me that with my order they give Spirit Airlines permission to charge my card, I gave Priceline permission, not spirit.

This time I made a reservation through Priceline’s online platform paying for the room in advance. Sometimes just being more convenient to do so. I made the reservation for the first of Nov 2023 and did it on the 23rd of Oct 2023 for one night. The next day the 24th. However, I went to print out the confirmation and it showed the reservation for that day the 24 of Oct 2023 leaving on the 25th. I called the motel directly but there was no answer. I figured they were busy with a customer checking in or out and call back a few minutes later. Again no answer. After another try I called Priceline and explained the issue and the customer service agent said he would call the motel.
He came back and said Days Inn would make no corrections or cancellations and he said there was nothing he could do to help me. I asked to speak with a supervisor and explained the problem to him and he called the hotel and came back with the same “sorry, can’t do anything to help you.” I guess I should have looked at the rating of this Days Inn because it had a overall rating of 2 point something. I never had any problems with Days Inn in the past so I never thought to check that. I made my arrangements for my daughter's two wedding celebrations using same credit card. My car rental went smoothly at O'Hare Airport. Skyways Hotel stranded me in Los Angeles saying the were not able to make a charge on my credit card. I was counting on a late check in at Skyways Hotel after 2nd celebration for my daughter's wedding.
When I tried to checked in I handed my driver's license through the bullet proof glass and the rude lady, in broken English, said my reservation was canceled because when the tried to make a charge they were not able and there are no more rooms. I asked for a supervisor who said there is nothing he can do. No more rooms. I called Priceline who transferred me to booking.com. I kept trying to get somebody to understand but all the people at Philippine call center, including supervisors, could not understand. I asked to have the incident investigated. I was told a supervisor will call back. One week later I called for update on the investigation. I was told I need to call Skyways Hotel. There was nothing they can do or give credit for my inconvenience.
I called Skyways Hotel and escalated up to Kash **. I asked for the return of my driver's license, investigate why my reservation was canceled (if problem with credit card, what was the error code), and for credit for the inconvenience since I was stranded in Los Angeles when I know there's no problem with my credit card and I had to pay for a more expensive last minute hotel. Kash ** looked at security video and said he said he saw his personnel take my driver's license but not able to verify them returning it back. Kash ** promised to investigate and sent an email to show his sincerity. Kash ** never investigated and booking.com can do no more.
I called Priceline and asked if I did my reservation through Priceline, shouldn't Priceline do the right thing to resolve issues instead of being passed off to booking.com? I booked a weekend trip in July for the month of September..I also paid for insurance coverage just in case. The day I was suppose to fly out, due to bad weather, my flight was cancelled and I was no longer able to attend the trip. The airline refunded me right away and notified Priceline, however, the hotel needed proof of cancelled flight in which I provided. A week went by, I called Priceline again, was given the run around being told they’re waiting for hotel. After several weeks of calling and advocating for myself, I finally called the hotel in which they stated they provided Priceline with the approval..
I notified Priceline and they again, gave me the same run around and advised the person who submitted the email didn’t include a job title.. then placed me on HOLD for 3 hours before disconnecting. Attempted to call again and was given the same run around they’re waiting for hotel to respond. Will never book through Priceline again. Awful business. Awful customer service and even worse follow-up/through. The hotel even told me to just book through them next time it’d be cheaper and offered me a free weekend stay due to Priceline doing NOTHING!! My mother and father used Priceline to book their rental vehicle for a romantic trip that they were beyond excited for. My mother booked with their online system; while booking the website glitched back to the default dates (not the dates my mother selected) without warning or notification. After getting the confirmation email my mother politely called Hertz; Hertz advised they can’t do anything and to call Priceline. My mother then called Priceline whom sent her back to Hertz, Hertz hung up on my mother and left her in tears with an unauthorized additional charge and canceled her reservation with no explanation or confirmation.
After this she called Priceline; whom advised the reservation was canceled and they can’t help. They then told her that the reservation rental insurance was charged but they can’t assist her. After being understandably upset she spoke with a manager who did not provide any customer service either. The expectation was that my crying mother whom was confused and concerned had to call the rental insurance herself without any information to action this. I have never seen such bad customer service which is shocking as in Canada all we hear is how extraordinary customer service the USA has; this was the exact opposite of what my mother experienced.
I completely understand human error but to blatantly tell another human being who is begging you with panic in their voice for some sort of genuine guidance and support to, to then tell her to “figure it out” and mute your mic to hope she hangs up is truly heartbreaking. Do not use this company. They don’t have any form of customer service or human decency.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the appalling experience I recently encountered while booking a vacation through your platform. My family and I had planned a long-awaited trip to New York, consisting of flights, hotel reservations, and car rentals, all arranged through Priceline. This was supposed to be a memorable family vacation, but it turned into a nightmare, thanks to Priceline's incompetence and negligence.
To begin with, I received confirmation emails from Priceline just a day before our trip, which led me to believe that everything was in order. I took time off from work, made all the necessary preparations, and eagerly looked forward to our vacation. However, on the morning of our departure, things took a disastrous turn. When attempting to check in for our flight to New York, I encountered constant errors and ultimately received a notification stating that my flight had been canceled.
Distressed and confused, I immediately called Priceline's customer service, seeking clarification and assistance. Instead of receiving any helpful information or resolution, I was met with assurances that everything was fine on their end and that my booking was still active. They instructed me to proceed to the airport, assuring me that I would receive assistance there.
Upon arriving at the airport, the situation went from bad to worse. The Spirit Airlines staff informed me that my flight had been canceled a shocking 10 days prior, and they had already processed a refund for my ticket. I attempted to contact Priceline repeatedly while at the airport, but each time I called, I was either placed on hold indefinitely or transferred to another person who couldn't provide any answers. In a disgraceful display of negligence, some Priceline representatives even called Spirit Airlines on my behalf and promptly vanished when they realized they couldn't help.
My entire day, my precious vacation leave, and my family's excitement were utterly ruined. After three hours of futile phone conversations, not one Priceline customer service representative had the decency to inform me that my flight had been canceled and that going to the airport was futile. This level of negligence and incompetence is simply unforgivable.
As if this ordeal wasn't enough, I was also unable to secure a refund for the hotel I had booked through Priceline. Despite the fact that the cancellation was entirely beyond my control, Priceline insisted on holding me responsible for the hotel charges. This experience has left me feeling scammed and deeply disheartened.
In all my years of traveling and dealing with various companies, I have never encountered such a colossal failure in customer service. The stress and frustration I endured during this ordeal were indescribable, and I hold Priceline responsible for this entire debacle. Your customers deserve better than this. It is imperative that Priceline takes immediate action to prevent others from suffering through such a horrendous experience.

I wish I could leave a zero-star review, as that is exactly what this company deserves. When I arrived at the MSP airport to pick up my vehicle, the Thrifty representative said she could not find my reservation (and was quite rude, to be honest). I was forced to rent directly from Avis, as none of the other car rental companies had available cars and I was forced to take what Avis currently had in stock. As a result, my cost was more than double than the amount I had pre-paid nearly two months prior to the pickup date of September 2, 2023 (I made the reservation on Sunday, July 9, 2023). The original amount that I pre-paid was $315.73. The amount I had to pay at the Avis counter was $695.39 plus the deposit of $200. I did get my entire $200 deposit back once the car was returned and processed—which turned into an entirely different nightmare.
When I submitted my request to be reimbursed for the difference, I explained in detail why I needed to get a different size car than the original reservation: BECAUSE THE AIRPORT ONLY HAD THAT SIZE. I had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of me to rural Minnesota and I had no other choices available to me (e.g. shuttle, ride share, etc.). I submitted all of the necessary forms/explanation on September 16 and I only JUST today (September 29) received an email saying they would not fulfill the reimbursement. This company is a mess; non-feeling, horrible customer service, terrible practices. I'm not quite sure how they are still in business.

I rented a full size car through Priceline for Las Vegas September 28-October 2, 2023. The option I chose was 27/per day. When I received the confirmation I was actually charged $62.61/day. I spoke with customer service about the error and they told me there was nothing they could do because the price changed during booking (which literally only took 2 seconds if that), however the price did not change because that option was still available even the next morning when I spoke to a supervisor who said he would escalate my case but I never heard back from him. I filled out the online form and they denied the refund because they said I did not submit all the information they needed. I submitted the itinerary which included all dates and times as well as location of the rental and billing info. I also included screenshots of the advertised price option that I chose and was still denied. I will NEVER use Priceline again.

I’ve used Priceline for many years with great results. However they are no longer the same reputable company. The rates they list are much lower than the price you pay. Once you check room rates you will find additional fees, like ‘resort fees’ on top of fees and taxes. One hotel I nearly booked had a hotel fee well over $100 due at check-in. Customer service has always been nonexistent, so there is little reason to use this failing company.

We had a horrible rental car experience out of Toronto Airport (offsite pickup with NextCar) last week. Turns out, this rental car company was featured 3 years ago on a hidden cam TV show that exposes scams and bad business practices. This company gets people in the door on the lowest rates and they insists that people pay for additional insurance coverage and they charge an additional 8% PER DAY if you pay by credit card. A 3 day car rental for $154 total was going to cost an additional $199.95 for insurance. The problem is that Priceline takes no ownership even though they are involved in the process. They have no procedures in place where companies like NextCar in Mississauga (also rent cars under Economy Car and Fox Rent A Car) can be blacklisted to protect future customers. The reality is they just want their commission and really aren't interested in whether the transaction goes well or not.

We made a reservation through Priceline. We were traveling on United Airlines and our 1st flight was delayed which caused us to miss our second or connecting flight. We called both parties; Hotel and Priceline at the AIRPORT. Hotel said they can't help because we used a 3rd party (Priceline) and Priceline said they can't help or make changes to our reservation and that we would be a No-Show. When we arrived the next day the hotel made us pay for the rooms that we already paid for through Priceline. Essentially we paid Priceline for our rooms ($2,300) and had to pay the Hotel again for the same rooms. We have reached out Priceline about 7 times to resolve this issue, but they have not refunded our monies. Take caution when using Priceline because the entire process is a time consuming hassle. We have paid close to $4,000 for Hotel reservations that should have only cost us $2,000.

Upon arriving at the counter desk of Thrifty I saw several families with small children left to fend for themselves. I was heartbroken and glad that I had the resources to get a hotel in close distance to the airport. That cost me over $200 and a lost day from my business trip.
This is a regular practice of this location from what I was told by the neighboring rental car service. Thrifty plan of action was to give us a flyer with a customer service number which leads to a maze after regular work hours. Here is the number 1-800-334-1705. Priceline is not a reputable company. Customers must be made aware of the full on reluctance and blatant disrespect of our hard earned money. The company's third-party booking services is a money grab, so be vigilant if you decide to use this so-called- 'service provider'. The communication is egregious with unfair policies. The companies agents are unhelpful, so don't bother to call. I booked 1 night and cancelled less than 1 hour due to circumstances beyond my control. There was a safety issue with UA. Flight delayed almost 10 hours. Priceline did not offer a solution, they did not offer a compromise, they did not offer a courtesy for up to 1 year to honour the booking such as a gift card...nothing. The company simply wanted to take my money.
Even the hotel that was booked was willing to compromise with their cancellation policy. As far as consumers are concerned, third party booking agents are always a risk. There needs to be more regulations where they are concerned. Airlines are already getting away with all these obscene hikes in their airfare, then we have to contend with booking agents who also use this to take advantage. Something must be done, starting with Priceline. I've never heard one good thing about the company's services. Not one.
More regulation and accountability needs to be enacted. The policies are unfair and downright robbery. Emergencies with airlines happens all too often, delays upon delays. Priceline needs to take these occurrences into consideration pertaining to the company's so-called refund or cancellation policy. Consumers are suffering. And where would companies, such as Priceline be without that? Where is the line? Offer solutions and stop creating more angry consumers.

Priceline. The people that work at priceline are incompetent, heartless monsters. I deserve a full refund for what they did to me. On sept 9, I booked a room at Extended Stay America. It was particularly important that you understand I booked this room specifically to relax before a very stressful event taking place on the following Monday. At 8 pm Sept 9, I received an email that said “extend your stay for only $62”. I was thrilled as I didn't have much money, and I really needed the extra day to sleep in, and relax as I have Crohn’s disease.
When i clicked the link, it would misdirect me to another site entirely. So I made a phone call and spoke with a man named Louis. I asked him to extend my reservation for a second night for the price I was offered in the email. He took all my information, including my money - $77 to be exact. Charged my card and gave me a confirmation number. The next day at the lobby, the manager of the hotel informed me Louis had made a drastic error. He reserved me for a room at an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT HOTEL. This was terrible. The managers of both hotels spoke with each other agreeing to cancel the reservation due to the late cancellation policy, but priceline did not care.
I called customer service at 1030 am, right before I was about to be kicked out of my room. I was sick, vomiting and other personal things related to Crohn’s disease, yet I had to wait for priceline to call me back, and once they did they told me over and over again there was nothing that could be done. “Sorry for the inconvenience but there's nothing we can do.” Their only solution was to give me a refund and for me to make new reservation. This was unacceptable as I would not have the refund immediately to make another reservation. I spent my last bit of money to extend that reservation.
While on the phone with them I explained how severe it was that I needed to be in a room immediately. That this was THEIR FAULT. Louis put me in the wrong hotel and charged me. I then had to stand outside my hotel in the rain while I argued with priceline that they were ** me” because they were. They had made an error. Refused to fix it. And refused to help a sick person in need. Their response was “Ma'am we do not tolerate that profanity”. Well, I don't tolerate people who lack sympathy. Especially when it's their fault. Priceline should have taken full responsibility and got me a reservation at the hotel I was already at, as they should have done in the first place.
After that customer service agent was of no help, I asked to talk to their supervisor. After explaining i was suffering from a chronic flare up, her answer was “I will escalate this and have a resolution in about 24 hours.” Again, this was unacceptable. Pleading with priceline I BEGGED this supervisor to try and understand just how bad this hurt me physically. But they did not care. There was nothing that could be done. LUCKILY, the manager at extended stay gave me time to remove my things and helped me get an early check in at the other hotel.
JUST as I was about to hang up with priceline, they said “okay well we are going to just cancel the reservation” and again I had to say! "WHAT, NO, NOW I HAVE TO GET EVERYTHING I'VE TRAVELED WITH AND FIND TRANSPORTATION TO THE WRONG HOTEL YOU PUT ME IN TODAY." I don't understand why after telling me over and over there's nothing that can be done and my only actual option was to move to the other hotel they would then suggest cancelling it. The lack of empathy is pathetic. The lack of accountability is garbage. This is the WORST company I have ever spoken to on the phone regarding customer service.
Once i finally got my stuff moved and over to the other hotel, the hotel priceline moved me into was MUCH worse. I was so disappointed. I was so sick. And I will never use priceline as long as I live. And to the people talking to me that day, you never really know what a person is going through, so you really should starting owning your mistakes and start treating customers with respect. I don't think even if I had died from the amount of stress this added to my already stressful life they would have even blinked. I deserve my $77 back. And a VERY deep apology.

I had requested a handicapped room but was given a regular one with a very dirty, moldy bathroom which had a very deep tub, I requested them to give me a handiCAPPED room again and they officered me to the basement room with a very nasty bathroom. There was no phone service in the room, I called from my cell phone and they never fixed it.
They need not provide any housekeeping. My mother could not take shower for 5 days. When I called them to report a Very uncivilized ** guy who did not even know how to talk like a human yelled at me. I had to hang up. I had 500 dollars in cash in a bag and my very expensive Bulgari Sunglasses were STOLEN. I was charged 2 nights before I even checked in the hotel. I filed a DISPUTE with my bank and this company again claimed it back? PLEASE DO NOT USE PRICELINE OR YOU WILL REGRET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE LIKE ME.

Booked a flight reservation on August 28TH and cancelled within two hours because I had the wrong date. Their policy states that you can cancel within 24 hours and get a full refund =. We are now two weeks in and they told me to take it up with Spirit Airlines. Spirit told me I must deal with Priceline because that’s who sold me the tickets. Every day Priceline tells me I’ll have a refund by end of business day. I just called them again and the same story. I asked her why they can’t refund me and they deal with Spirit and she told me she is disconnecting me and hung up on me. So unprofessional. Never booking through them again.

Made a reservation for a hotel and was overcharged by $100.00. I encourage you to go directly to the source hotel by email, a phone call, or on their website FIRST before you use Priceline to make a reservation. Priceline will "sneak" an additional charge per night without it being obvious at checkout. WATCH OUT!!!

As someone who travels regularly for work as well as family commitments I have used this service and others regularly. However, this is the second time I have been suggested to wait on booking, booked a “flexible cancellation” room, and then when one slightly closer to my destination (that was actually going to be more expensive) or due to a flight issue have been told that I cannot cancel the reservation. A reservation I had made not even an hour earlier with the reason being due to it being less than 24 hours from check in.
I understand that is a policy, but if it is still advertised as flexible when I make the reservation, which is within that 24 hour window, then I should still have that flexibility to some extent. It is a blatant example of false advertising. I will most likely not be using this service again as it does not value the human element of planning nor does it seem to have the capacity to work with its customers when events outside our control occur. A small fee or the first day's fee would be unreasonable with the timeframe, but not a complete refusal of refund for a week long stay.

I made a reservation in Lake Wales Florida two weeks prior at Royal Inn on S hwy 27. My email says check in is at 12pm. I went at 10am because we made it in the state a couple hrs early so I wanted to pay ahead of time. The guy there Sam or Sammy said, "Check in is at 3pm but you can try back at 1pm." I said I will have to contact priceline because they said 12pm is check in and he said that's fine but with an attitude. I tried calling Priceline and their automated machines all say, "We are having problems. Try your call again" and automatically hangs up on me. I drove 18 hrs just to be told I can't check in when I was told I could.

I booked a rental car through Priceline website for my recent trip to Charlotte with Hertz. I first was charged for the 4 day rental from Priceline for 330 dollars. When I arrived in Charlotte and picked up my vehicle they asked for a credit card in case of an incident, but then charged me 344 dollars in the end. When I reached out to Priceline they said there was nothing they could do because of the “extra purchase” of gas that I made at the desk. I need to go through Hertz, when I went to Hertz they also said there is nothing they can do. So rather than paying the difference of 14 dollars I had to pay twice for a vehicle. It makes absolutely no sense to me and I don’t understand using a booking website if they can’t handle the simplest of issues like a bill or difference in charge or refund. I will never use either company again. Customer service is nonexistent.

I booked a hotel through them and was charged more than the actual hotel charges. Also, the hotel charged me so now I’m paying $700+ dollars for a 2 star hotel for 2 nights. Priceline told me they would cancel my reservation. They have not. Also, the website states clear as day no cancellation fee. Yeah, I guess that’s not true. They are trying to make the hotel refund my money while they still charge $460 and the hotel charge is $362. So how is that fair to be out almost $100 that’s not a no-fee cancellation!!!! I’m super mad. I could have just walked into the hotel and paid $362 but now pay that plus $460 because I used Priceline. Huge mistake! Never again. Don’t use them, people. I would still have $460 in my account if I had not used Priceline.

We purchased airfare, car rental & hotel through Priceline. The review is specifically on Priceline horrible customer service with regards to our purchase of 3 nights at Silver Lake Hotel LA, California. My reviews on Silver Lake are already listed, basically the hotel is horrible beyond belief! So I won't repeat that here. We contacted Priceline to confirm I only stayed at Silver Lake 1 night vs the original 3 nights paid for. Priceline was already aware of that, they could see I reserved new hotel for the other 2 nights. However told me unfortunately no refund, period end of conversation. So Priceline decided keep our money for those 2 nights and just told us essentially too bad! Priceline, hope those 2 nights were worth it, you just lost family of 10 as customers.

Priceline put me with Dollar Car Rental, with a quote of $86.79 for 2 days of rental of an economy car at Raleigh-Durham airport. I ended up with a bill of $150.05. First the daily rental charged was $34.99 instead of $27.65 as quoted. Then Dollar gave me 3 options and I picked the basic option of coverage. They did not give me the option of opting out. Ended up adding another $19.98. Then they sold us the Toll Charges package for $27.98 when we absolutely encountered no toll at all. We tried to call on the first day but were never able to talk to an agent about these charges.
We decided to go back to the rental at the airport (as there is no other Dollar Car Rental in the city). There was a line of about 40 people waiting for 2 agents at 3:30pm, probably about a 2+ hours wait. We left and came back at 6:30pm, there were still about 30+ people in line. We had to give up the appeal. I would never rent from Dollar Car Rental again with such poor and deceptive service. Priceline can do better in protecting their customers.

I was traveling to Louisville to spend the weekend and then pick up my car rental to head to business in Georgetown KY. I booked my flights and car rental through Priceline. Two days before picking up my car at 4 PM I attempted to change the pick up time by 4 hours to 12 noon. Through chats, both Thrifty and Priceline told me that the other Company would have to change the reservation.
Ultimately I chatted more with Priceline and they told me that they could not adjust the time. I also called Priceline Customer Support and they verified that they could not change the pick up time by 4 hours. Most disappointing is that both Companies pointed the finger at the other company as the one I needed to go through. Ultimately it was Priceline who lied repeatedly through the chat (which I have). It’s bad enough that they could not adjust by 4 hours two days ahead, but to Lie several times leading me on a two hour wild goose chase is Pathetic. Take Ownership, Priceline!

Priceline promised they'd hold the funds for me and I could rebook at any time. They didn't put any time stipulations on it. We're finally in a position where we can travel again, so I checked my Priceline account. They didn't have any record of it. I contacted them twice and they told me to contact the airline. I contacted the airline and they told me to contact Priceline. Priceline says they can't help me, so essentially all the money I put towards this vacation is gone. I would use extreme caution booking anything in advance through Priceline in these uncertain times because they will take your money and won't give you anything in return.

The prices are not discounted…They are actually higher than most other sites so it's not like I got a good deal to begin with. So after giving all my information with booking and hotel cancellation I still do not have a resolution.
Please save yourself aggravation and do not book with this company. In their policy, it does not mention using a third party to book reservations. The customer service experience was the worst I had with a travel company. Calling, you wait ...then you get someone who can’t help you.
