It is literally 9:06 pm and I’ve called the front desk five times about my heating system not working. I’ve been calling since 6:30... 4 times (by two different people) I’ve been told someone would be up to look at it, once I was put on hold by a Sonya whom never got back on the phone. My room smells like smoke and the door and window have a draft. The conditioning unit is old and broken. I’ve tried speaking with a supervisor but was told no one was available. I hate that I spent my money here.

My husband, daughter and myself stayed at Motel 6 and it was great. The room was clean and well stocked. The updates to the rooms are really nice. The towels, sheets and bedding were very clean and the room smelled amazing. The bathroom was spotless. The motel is quiet all night. We all slept like babies. The cleaning crew were so nice and polite. They made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. When they promise to bring something back they always did. The front desk staff was super. They were polite and so friendly. Shoutout to Sandy (housekeeper), Channing (front desk), Demetria (front desk), Marie (front desk) and to everyone else who names I didn't learn. Overall the rooms are clean, staff friendly and the prices are right. Thank you all.

I checked in at 5:15 pm, left for a class at 5:30 pm, returned at 10 pm & left at 6 am the next morning. Almost $80.00 with a discount for 1 room, 1 bed. Why the harsh rating? Because the money is for a place to confidently lay down to sleep & be able to shower in the morning to get ready for the day. I don't feel I received that. A clean bed, clean sheets & a clean functional bathroom were my expectation. And I don't like to share my room with crawly things. Positive: First of all, the staff was friendly during my stay, my room was ready, the air conditioner worked, was cold & the toilet was fully functional & clean. So was the Mini-fridge. The towels were adequate.

Negative: the rest of the room & bathroom was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, some repairs & TLC. Sheets were halfway on the mattress & inside-out. Looking at the over-the-bed lights, there were mystery blobs under the glass. I had to share my room with a resident spider & nameless bug, the microwave still had food splatter from previous guests, the storage surfaces were dirty & the electrical outlets were so loose, that the charger kept falling out. I decided against a shower since there was unknown residue in the bathtub, the shower curtain rod was dented & not secured to the wall & the sink handle & other surfaces really needed that thorough cleaning. I found some questionable hairs on the Motel 6 sheets & slept on sheets & pillows I brought with me.

Note to self: this Motel has its washers in the hallway! Not a good idea to get a room anywhere near them! Do not touch the floor without shoes or gloves. Hallway carpets may be wet & squishy. There is no shampoo, hair dryer or coffeemaker provided. I remember Motel 6 from waaay back. No longer the Motel 6 where Tom Bodett “will leave the light on for you".

I've been staying at this location, 2551 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418, for more than 5 years, 6 visits per year, for work. The most serious complaint I had, in the beginning, was extremely low water pressure at the sink. Little by little in the beginning, they were making small but significant changes for the better, e.g. remodeling the rooms, gradually adding refrigerators and microwaves throughout. But of late, those changes have begun to move in the opposite direction, i.e. for the worse. Instead of increasing the water pressure, they've added a nozzle to the faucet to increase the intensity but not the volume. Now the spray is so strong, water splashes from the sink at even the lowest setting.

I've always used a "Do Not Disturb" sign on all of the motels I stay in and now, this motel at least, no longer permits that. And while I was en route to stay at this location this week, I stopped to get some groceries, knowing that I will be able to have access to a refrigerator and microwave. However, upon arrival, I've discovered that they are gradually removing the microwaves but not before I paid $30 extra for a room with a refrigerator BUT WITHOUT a microwave. So the groceries I purchased will go unused as well as the EXTRA $30! I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN NOR ANY OTHER MOTEL 6!!!

We conducted our 5 day stay at 3300 Queen City Dr in Charlotte, NC. We were moved to 3 different rooms. All of them have had issues. The first two had black mold on the walls, which I am deathly allergic to. The third room had a water leak in the wall that was causing the ceiling to fall in. I wrote corporate with my complaint and photos. At this time, I still have no response. The rooms at this location have no microwave and no refrigerator. The night before our last scheduled stay, while sitting in my car another renter asked if I had any ** he could purchase. The rooms are unsafe and repulsive.

I’m so disappointed. I can't believe I wasted my money and time staying. I booked a room for one night 02/03/2019. Upon arrival I was caught up with work on my phone and laptop. I was sitting at the desk working away. About and 2 hours later I needed to use the washroom. The toilet seat was nasty. Dry piss all over the seat that means housekeeping did not clean the room. I noticed the floor as well as the sink was dirty. I even have photos to prove it. I then proceeded to check the bed. The sheets were dirty no clean bedding. I contacted front desk and explained to him the room was dirty. He said no refunds and that it's a full house. I told him I would like new clean bedding. This was around 9-10pm he agreed. I waited and waited by midnight still no one had showed up at my room with clean linen and front desk didn't show up.

I was pissed but had to leave for work was running late. The motel smells there's lots of activity in the hall doors slamming, vomit in the stairwell. The place was nasty dusty over all. Management was rude. I would never recommend anyone to stay here not with your family not even for business. This place is absolutely a ** hole. This is what you call the slums. I should have spent the extra $30 and stayed at the Fairfield Inn which was 1 minute away around the corner. Which is way cleaner than Motel 6. Never again. :(

We slept for a little bit and I woke up with something crawling on me and I was itchy, I ran to the bathroom and a bed bug was crawling on me, I woke my husband and we checked both beds and there were adult bed bugs in both beds, we called the front desk and started packing, it took 20 minutes for them to come look and he accused us of bringing them in, are you kidding me? I asked for a refund so we could get out of there, he said no refund, the manager will be back in 1 week and he said, "You can have another room", that is not acceptable, I am sure they all were infested, we are so upset of the attitudes and had to leave in the middle of the night tired and cold and another 770 miles to drive.

So me and my husband rented a hotel for a couple nights to get away... Paid 145 total for two nights and both nights there were people running in and out of the rooms constantly slamming doors and smell of drugs and then selling drugs out of this establishment! We hardly slept. Could not enjoy ourself at all! Went to front desk and she tried to get rude with me when I already called and complained once about this and it kept happening. They didn’t offer to do anything about it etc. This place is a joke. By far the worst place I’ve ever stayed and wasted our money on! Something needs to be done about this.

If I was you I wouldn’t stay at the Motel 6 in Southport Indiana! We are very upset about this situation. Even more so no one is willing to do anything about it! Hopefully they will at least try to make this right because the BBB will have a field day with this place also so would FB word of mouth from your guest is your future business and the reviews I have and will make known will have a effect!

Beds were comfortable to sleep on, towels provided and the walls looked spacious compared to many places I've seen before priced at this rate!!! There isn't any complimentary breakfast, however they make up for it in the rooms provided, given the many outlets and how you can bring your pot cooker if you wanted to, lol.

Me and son just arrived from Florida. If I knew, what it was like, would never have stayed there. I paid for 2 weeks in advance. First got there, bathroom light was hanging by wires. Went downstairs, told office (they seemed passed off, that I bothered them), maintenance guy came to hotel room. Brought no tools. So popped it back in wall. Still didn't work, said he would be back next day. Not good enough, paid for 2 weeks-light is going to work. Went to office again. I said, have him bring his tools, this time. Got a lot of eye rolling and a sigh! Ice maker - on both floors, not working. People leave trash in hallways. Prostitutes and people on drugs, dealing drugs. No bureau in room, washer and dryer broke. Fights always breaking out. Police there A LOT. Would not send someone's dog there. I called the main, Motel 6 - they did not care. DISGUSTING is what it is.

Let us start at the beginning; the website reservation had nowhere to request a handicap access room so I had to call the motel to ask for a ground floor handicap room. When we arrived we were told we had a ground floor room, but nothing was mentioned about it being handicapped. At the door; the first thing we were hit with was the smell, the cleaning person must have used an entire bottle of cleanser in that room because the smell hit you from the door and every time we came back to the room and opened the door it hit you again.

The room; there was 1 chair, hard molded wooden looking chair. No table or desk, just 1 chair. While a spacious room because of the lack of carpet and lack of furniture it echoed badly inside. This Motel 6’s website had showed a table and 2 chairs in the room. The bed; the sheets had been tucked so far under the mattress that the blanket was not even visible until we removed the bedspread and sheet and found the blanket mixed in between them, in other words they had “Short sheeted” the bed. The bed base was so creaky that every movement was loud and echoed. The pillows were the smallest flattest things you have ever seen.

The bathroom; WAS NOT HANDICAPPED, the toilet seat was loose and caused me to fall when it slide sideways. It was very difficult to get up from the toilet without any grab bars, had to use the door frame to pull myself upright. I was not even going to try to get in and out of the shower since it was a standard bathtub with high sides. The toilet flush was so loud it uncomfortable. Again, I had asked for a handicap room because the photos on their website had showed a roll in shower in their “Deluxe” King room. Which is what we had paid for.

The curtains; we discovered at night that the curtains were on a broken double rod system but there was only 1 curtain and it was placed 4 inches out from the window, allowing so much light around them that with the lights off we were able to read by the light of the porch light that was directly outside of our window, it actually got darker in our room in the morning when the light went out. Why there was not a second curtain or why the one that was there was so far away from the window I’ll never understand.

There was an uncovered power outlet just under the headboard that could have caused a fire or electrocute one of us if we slid our hand in the 3 inch space between the bed and the wall. The cleaning person came in the next day, but all she did was pick up the towel off the bathroom floor and did not leave a spare roll of toilet paper, I tried to call the front desk but the phone would not accept any key presses, and the only number I could find was not for our front desk but rather headquarters. So I had to get dressed and walk across the parking lot in the rain to ask for a roll of toilet paper. The little things; there was no Kleenex, the book they leave in the room for you to see what is available in the area had at least 3 businesses that were no longer in business.

I made reservation with this Motel 6 (#1251, 1101 Shoreway Rd, Belmont, CA) directly and received a confirmation email as usually, and printed it out just to be sure. But when I arrived here after 8 hours of long drives in the evening the receptionist at front desk told me they have no record of my reservation and said I need to call reservation center myself. I told them it’s not my problem. Why can’t they call and find out where went wrong. They said they can’t! So I did.

The reservation center personnel told me there’s nothing they can do because they have no access to whatever the system, and asked me to call another number. Again, I told her it’s not my problem, I made the reservation weeks in advance directly and have confirmation paper with me, why can’t they connect me to whoever directly instead of me making all the phone calls and repeating the issue?! She told me something about the system that they just can’t transfer me directly. Out of anger, tiredness, and frustration I began to raise my voice then she said maybe she can call the property management at Motel 6 #1251 and find out what the issue was. So she called them, and found that my reservation got cancelled shortly after it was confirmed due to overbooking, it was the computer that automatically cancelled my reservation!!!

The reservation center personnel offered to put me in another Motel 6 cross the bridge, I refused because it was in the totally opposite direction, the horrible traffic would add 2 hours extra traffic time to my planned schedule. The worst part in all of this was that, they had no decency to even send me a cancellation notification through text, phone or email, so I could make other arrangement!!?? Regardless how I expressed my frustration or asked them “How would you feel and deal with this if this happens to you??!!” Their standard bureaucratic response was, “I am sorry, but you can call reservation center...!”

Apparently Motel 6 was incapable and unwilling to take up responsibility, and doesn’t care about my situation. So my husband and I decided to look for another place to stay. But since it was high demand for lodging due to conferences and late booking, it took us a while to finally find vacancy at Holiday Inn near Fisherman’s Wharf, and it cost $594.91, including $53 overnight parking on the premise. I however did apologize to the front desk receptionist for my attitude, after all, it was the computer that took me off the system, not them!!

I wish this episode ended there, but no... what happened was, with the rather expensive $53 I paid for the Holiday Inn overnight parking (it was in the basement and required hotel card to get in), I found my car window smashed in the morning. Sigh... speechless...! Well, I asked the Holiday Inn front desk personnel, the answer I got was, “We have signs out there.” I guess the signs were something about hotel not responsible for cars or belongings! My question was, with the amount of money they charged for parking, they can’t hire a security? After I shared this incidence with friends both local and visitors, what we heard was, “it’s been a long term issues and city can’t do anything about it, so just DON’T GO TO SAN FRANCISCO ANYMORE!!!”

First, I want to say that me and my guests felt our safety has been threatened by the male front desk by putting fear in our hearts by saying he knows our identity and address including kicking us out in the late afternoon so we will not have a place to stay. I was asked by this very rude male front desk for my ID as I check in. I gave my driver’s license and then he asked again for the IDs of my 3 relatives. He was staring at me while I am looking for the co number of my niece as they are parking the car so I can tell them that their IDs are needed.

I told this guy I am contacting them and please wait. I gave the IDs after and he checked but told me I need their passports as they are not from USA but from Australia. I replied on him that he should have made it clear that next time he must be clear so people especially those that are tired from their travel will not get tired more. He said, "I thought they are from USA also because you have a USA ID." I answered that he should not make assumption because he can make mistake and make his guest uncomfortable. He said, "I can kick you out of this hotel if you do talk like that?" I said, "You asked for something I gave you and then you said it wrong" where in fact he should have been cleared on what he requires from their customer.

He said I am ruining his day and, "this is ridiculous." I told him you should not tell that to his customers because he was the first one who is not clear. He said again ok, "I kick you out of the motel." I asked him, "Where is your manager?" and he said manager is not availability and he can kick us out now. I told, "You are not the manager and I will call your corporate if kick us out here." He has not stopped talking and I put my phone focus to record him as he is being very rude and hurtful especially in front of my guests. He told me, "I know your address." He raised his voice again and repeatedly saying he knows me and my address. I asked him, "why you are threatening me." He said, "I can sue you because you are video recording me."

I told him, "I am supposed to video record you because you are maliciously demeaning me and my guests. You are treating us badly because I am with my guests who came from other country." I told, "You should not irrespectfully act like that because San Francisco (especially they are in the heart of the great city) is a tourist city and many tourist comes here" so he should be cleared in asking IDs and Passport for foreigners as he said its Motel 6 rules. The other lady who is a kind one dialed the phone of the manager and the manager appeared. Looks like just woke up with the eyes almost closed.

The manager just seems like not interested in his staff bad behavior saying, "You committed a mistake by trying to video record him," I replied, "He just do not want to stop besmirching us. That’s why I pretend I will record him." Manager not saying anything on his very rude front desk and I asked the manager, "So what are you going to say to your rude staff?" He cannot answer straight and he said finally, "I will talk to him."

I went to the Motel 6 in Southington to spend a weekend with my husband and not break the bank. When I arrived the customer service rep was clueless about the room. And when I asked if there was coffee pots in the room he said no, but never told me that they serve complimentary coffee in the office from 6-10 in the morning. So I got up to the room and laid down for a bit. Then I got up and went to the bathroom then noticed hair all over the floor. So I then bleach the bathroom as I had a new bottle of bleach with me. While I was cleaning the bathroom the tub also had hairs. Next I got in the shower and the tub was so backed up that it filled all the way up to my ankles. Well I got out and went to brush my teeth. Well guess what the sink was backed up as well.

By this time it was late I knew for sure that the guy at the front desk wouldn’t do anything. So I waited until the next day to talk to someone else. So then the girl at the front desk Darnesha was very nice then called the manager. This was the worst experience ever. Not a sorry just, "You can either get refunded for one day or get your room switched". To me this seemed unfair since my stay was ruined. I would have just preferred a full refund as my stay was ruined but I took the new room, only to find out the tub did the same thing. Not to mention in the first room the toilet would not flush. We had to use the plunger each time we used it.

So the manager on duty didn’t seem to care and didn’t apologize. When I spoke to her she claims she did but I was waiting for that and never heard it so when she says she apologized that’s not true. Motel 6 doesn’t seem to care if your experience is bad and will just take advantage of you!!! The room they moved me into had the same issue. The tub backed up so bad that it went to my ankles. So upset about this stay and the fact no one cares to fix it.

Hello, I recently stayed at Motel 6 in Duluth MN. I checked in on Friday August 17th as I had a wedding to attend on Saturday. Upon entering I noticed that there was a strong odor of cigarette smoke. I mentioned to the front desk that I was not aware that there was smoking allowed, that the odor bothered me and my son, and asked to be as far from the scent as possible. I would have chosen to go to a different hotel if I knew that smoking was permitted as my son has a lung issue and smoke makes him ill. Duluth is so busy in the summer I was lucky to get this room and was forced to stay.

When we entered the room the smell was very minimal, so my son was fine. However, when we opened the bathroom door, the smell was very obvious. My son had to use the bathroom with the door open, or he gagged. Saturday my adult children came up and my family attended a wedding. We came back to the hotel, the smell was much stronger. Too strong. I had to send my son to stay at the hotel in Wisconsin with my other kids as a result. After my son left I stepped outside to walk to the gas station. When I returned the door G was not locked, I just pulled it open. Not secure at all, and I was in room 113 which is next to that door.

I also picked up a used needle and tossed in the dumpster next to the hotel/restaurant. I would have asked to be moved, however I heard the front desk decline a guest as they were booked solid. So I was stuck there. When I checked out Sunday, I voiced my concern to the person at the front desk. She was very rude and made the excuse that if a guest smokes in a room that is non smoking there is nothing they can do. Simply put she did not care that my son got sick. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. She refused to accept responsibility for the actions inside of the hotel, and did not even apologize. She said if I didn't like it, I could simply write corporate.

I do not live in Duluth, however when I explained to friends in the city what had happened with the smoke, the door and the syringe, they all expressed that the hotel was known to be the place to purchase heroin. I am both angry and disgusted over this stay. I rarely complain, but in this case it is required. As a professional I believe in feedback, all feedback is useful. My hope is your management team learns from this and does something to clear this up.

On 8/15/18 at around 1500 hours, I went into the Motel 6, located at 4585 S. Harding St, Indianapolis, In 46217. The receptionist had processed my information and was about to give me a room. One of the work knew me from renting rooms at this establishment on previous occasions, she said my name. The manager proceeded to inform me that she could not rent me a room, because she made a "Deal" with an individual not associated with Motel 6. I asked why, I'm not barred from this establishment? She said, "You are now!"

I asked this individual, dressed in booty-shorts and a Ghetto shirt, who she was and her name? She replied "**". I said, ok. May I have the number to the owner and Corporate? Both requests were denied. I then googled the Corp website and called to complain about this unprofessional behavior. As I was on hold with the representative from Corporate, the Manager ** went into a low-toned tirade: "This is my hotel... You're wasting your time, when will people learn they can't do anything to me because I'll still have a job at the end of the day, you need to stop acting like a little ** and leave, you're so immature, etc..."

Once she concluded her monologue, she called a gentleman name "**" to remove me physically, although I had not shown an ounce of resistance, I simply wanted a Logic explanation for the refusal of service. The gentleman **, proceeded to speak to me harshly, but my low southern responses seemed to abate his belligerent attitude towards me. I went to explain how on Aug. 11, 2018 at 0030 hours, he rented a room (Confirmation No: **, Room 106) ) and allowed me to borrow a wall charger, which I returned to the morning receptionist "**" (who was present). I asked him, did he have any issues with me, to which he replied "no."

Upon this revelation the manager **, called the corporate offices in an attempt to discredit and invalidate my complaint. I've been renting motels since Feb. 1999, I have never had a complaint against me, never damaged anyone's property. I am truly shocked that Motel 6 allows people, in a Professional position to dress in such a manner, that a customer would confuse them with the common help.

Lastly, the way I was spoken to was very disturbing, especially since I only requested a room. The way this Manager spoke to me, let's me know that this is a common practice at this establishment or franchise, as she was so proud to convey to me. I'm really disappointed at Motel 6 and the unutterable amount of unwarranted disrespect aimed at a Business. This particular establishment shows me, that no one is checking up on these Franchises. Where in the Corporate World, does a "Manager" wear Booty-shorts (see their Video cameras) in their Official Capacity and Represent such an entity? This is truly a shock. I'm fairly disappointed.

We checked in after lunch, went to our assigned room and the previous occupants were still there with their belongings. We went back to the front desk and told them and she assigned us another room. When we walked in, there was a hairball on the floor, the bathroom toilet still had urine and feces in it, the bathroom mirror still had toothpaste on it and the bed was made but was all wrinkled from the last occupants because the linens weren't changed and had a smell. I went downstairs and asked for a change of linens and was told they didn't have any. At that point, we went checked out and went to the hotel next door. This was the most poorly kept room I have ever seen. Obviously housekeeping didn't clean the room and felt it would be fit for the next person. We were very dissatisfied especially since we drove from another state and will never stay here or at another Motel 6 ever again.

The Motel 6 in Kalama, WA looks reasonably well-kept from the outside, but it belies what the rooms are like. My room had a queen-sized bed which was ok except for a pillow which looked like someone had been lying on it before I got there. The two chairs had fabric seats were very dirty; there were small dried globs of something on the one by the table. Furniture holes were emitting wood dust. No carpeting--had been replaced by wood-look vinyl? floor covering which I prefer anyway. Had a decent small refrigerator and microwave. Worn painted steel sink was missing cap on the cold faucet where whiskers and grime were left from a previous occupant. Separate sink from the bath which is nice. AC unit blew warm air. Since it had been around 100 deg F. that day, the room air needed cooling.

Leaving the door open only did a little. Calling down to the office revealed that none of the air conditioners worked. Rough night of trying to sleep in the heat. Shower and tub both, but the faucet did not close off the tub supply when the shower head supplied water. Adequate number of electrical outlets, but they were too loose to hold the plugs in them. Thin walls. Picture windows seemed relatively new, but did not fit well enough to lock. Expressway traffic was loud, but not unbearable. Coffee was gone and not refilled in the office lobby the next morning. Try a different motel until they fix this one's problems. (I am staying at another one in OR which is much more kept up and clean with a functional AC.)

I am writing this with the hope of preventing someone else from going through what we went through on our stay at Motel 6 in Branford, CT. My daughter (30), our Pug and I checked into the Motel 6 really not knowing how long our stay would be as we were waiting for plans to be complete to move to Florida. Upon check-in, we were put into a room that was not very clean, smelled bad, had no working phone and was infested with tiny fruit flies. The next morning we asked to be moved to another room and was told we could move next door. So, with no help from anyone, we moved our things. Mid afternoon, the toilet started to overflow and within 10 minutes the bathroom and the entire unit was filled with about 2 inches of water!!! Our dog thought it was great, but I was livid!!!

Again we were told we could move next door. And again with no offer of help, I moved our wet belongings as fast as I could. Nobody came to see what was going on or to even turn off the water so that the flooding would stop!!! That room stayed flooded for the next two days as no one even took a wet vac to remove the water so that mold would not eventually form!!! The situation just got continually worse every single day. The housekeepers Deb and Shirley are the absolute rudest women I have ever met and do not deserve to be in the service business!!! They stand in the hallway, like guard dogs, and instead of doing their jobs, they harassed the guests for whatever reason.

The Branford police are there at least once a day, and this place is not in a high crime area!!! There is absolutely NO security to the building. Anyone can get into the building at any time...the doors do not lock...or are not locked!!! I overheard another guest saying that a man had been roaming the hallways the night before, but wasn't bothering anyone. The front desk went to check a guest into a room that already had someone staying in it...unbeknownst to the staff!!!

After a week or so and having spoken to some of the other guests, I became suspicious that someone other than my daughter and myself was entering the room. I rarely leave the room except to take the dog out. Sure enough, upon re-entering the building with my dog I turned the corner just in time to see Shirley coming out of my room!! I NEVER has housekeeping do my room... I cleaned it and changed the sheets on my own. So there was NO reason for her to be in there. When confronted, she said she was just checking to make sure we didn't need anything!! I told her she was lying and if I ever saw that happening again, there would be big trouble. Other guests have told me that things have been missing from their rooms and they have seen her coming out of it!!

A few weeks before we checked in, a car ran into the side of the Motel 6 building, causing quite a bit a damage and they had it boarded up and cordoned off. The damaged room was, of course, right next door to our room!! About 10 days into our stay, the front desk informed me that they would be doing work in that room and there would be a lot of noise for a few days. And they just weren't kidding. It was so loud, I couldn't even hear the tv. When I asked the front desk if we could move (again!!!), they said there were no more rooms and it wouldn't be for long. I knew that was not true, there were plenty of rooms available, but it was more the unprofessional and uncaring manner in which it was said! By this time I had just about had it with all these so employees, who are there to make the guests' stay enjoyable.

The Motel does not offer any kind of a breakfast...just coffee from 8am to 10am. You would think that would be a fairly simple task to perform. But, on more than one occasion, I went to get coffee in the main office area, and it was empty!!! When I asked if anyone was going to make more coffee, I was told, "No...no sense I'm making a whole pot for only one or two people!!!"

And to wind things up, today (Friday), I received a phone call from the front desk saying that because it was past 12:30pm and I hadn't paid for tonight yet, that I was being thrown out and has one half hour to leave!!! I was beyond angry!!! I NEVER leave my room, I am very aware of what is going on (having been the Manager of a resort hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL a few years ago) and don't cause anyone any problems...unless they ask for it!!! I told her I wanted to speak to the manager (who only shows up for about an hour four times a week). He got on the phone and began screaming at me about having unsavory people in my room and letting my dog pee on the sidewalk. I am 70 years old and not really the type to have "unsavory" company...nor is my daughter.

When I tried to explain to the manager that he must have me mixed up with someone else, he hung up on me! I could go on and on, but those are the main complaints I have about this Motel 6. I certainly hope others heed my warning and avoid staying there. Unprofessional, rude, dirty, unsavory employees from the top on down and all in all A VERY BAD PLACE TO STAY!!!

We booked a room with Motel 6 in Enterprise Alabama. The most disgusting experience we've ever had. Room smelled of urine and other foul odors. Stained carpets throughout, most disturbing were the ones caused by the toilet having overflowed and no carpet shampooing. Someone's old soap sludge in the soap dispenser in shower, which provided an adhesive for pubic hairs of prior residents. Mystery brown splatters all over shower walls. Washrags, curtains, bedspread and pillows under the case stained or unwashed. Headboard of one bed had boogers dried on it as well as shower and shower curtain. Dried fecal matter inside of the toilet and on hinges of seat. Thick brown crud all around bathroom baseboards. The microwave looked as if it had never been cleaned. We were also expected to share the room with roaches and flies.

It was late when we arrived exhausted from a long day of traveling and the front desk was happy enough to check us in but when we promptly tried to check out, no one answered the phone or the night bell until 9 am the following morning. When they finally answered, we were met by a man in his red plaid pj pants and a mint green polo he had clearly slept in, with food stains all down the front of it. We asked for a refund and were told we had to go online and do it. I argued that we didn't pay online. We paid here. I came to the realization that the only English he spoke was, "GO ONLINE".

10 minutes after driving away, my bank sends a text letting me know that Motel 6 took not one but three nights out of my account. I called the same motel and was told, yet again, to go online and request a refund. I called customer care instead, in the lobby. Customer service had them refund the whole amount but that too was a nightmare. It took THREE CALLS! And not one of them cared about the experience, in fact I felt like an imposition and they had much better things to do. Not one apology, just huffs and puffs and what felt like eye rolling. I'm just happy for the refund. Moral of the story, stay anywhere else, even if it's your car!

She kept making rude comments then overcharged me for one of my rooms in which I had reservations for 3 rooms. She repeatedly asked me which reservation was I paying for and I told her I would pay for one of the King rooms first. She raised her voice and said "That's not what I asked you!" I told her that I want to keep all 3 because of the number of people with me. She was sighing deeply out loud and turning up her nose. When I paid for the 1st room and she asked me for $178 I told her that my room should have been $155.65. She showed me to show her proof, in which I did and she still charged me $178. My sister was paying for another room and her card got declined because we were traveling.

She told her (Michelle) that she had the money and would just get from the ATM, when the ATM transaction declined she laughed and said to her, "But you got it though?" At this point the East Point Police officer got involved because Michelle again, raised her voice. The Police officer asked the other person that had just gotten off work to step in and help because she was being so rude to the customers. When I came in the night of June 9th she was working again, when I came in the lobby, she looked at us, rolled her eyes and turned her head. I stay at this location at least once a month because I am there on business. This is the 1st time I have encountered bad service at this location and this really makes me question if I will stay there again. This is the first Motel 6 I've felt safe in. Most importantly, the check in clerk was welcoming, and didn't hassle me about pets. This motel chain has started to push it's "pet friendly" policy, but unfortunately, like the 7-11's in this country, the trend for this chain is to be bought up by foreign investors, who put foreign clerks in their motels, WHO ARE RUDE, HAVE A LIMITED COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, AND MAKE ISSUES ABOUT PETS! I wish all the Motel 6s would use Natchitoches, LA as their model for how a motel should be run!

We get there a little early and the cleaning lady is in the room, so I yelled across parking lot "make sure you do a good job now"... like that rooms been rented. I'm here. Do good job. This lady either in fact did not do a good job or deliberately put a USED SYRINGE IN THE BED.

I freaked out and bagged it up and documented leaving the room and even punched in GPS for directions to my home so there would be some kind of proof that I left and did not return. However... I waited till the next morning to call the hotel about it. He said it wasn't his employee... Well now I'm not sure who got that room before me but this lady didn't do her job in that... the most basic thing you do to a motel room is... CHANGE THE DAMN BED SHEETS. Right? Well the ONLY other option is that SHE DID IT INTENTIONALLY (because I told her do good job... is my opinion.). I even made a police report and everything. So now because it is privately owned... There's nothing corporate can/will do for me.

There are just as many good posted reviews for Bellingham WA as bad, so for people it seems friendly staff doesn't work for everyone the same. My experience with staff was horrible, it started when trying to speed the process up of charging my card to reflect that the room was paid for instead of when I arrive, since I booked with reservation center I called and asked to do just that, I was told I needed to call the front desk where my stay was so I did. Front desk said to call res center so I call them back. They say they can't, I'm starting to fume because this goes for nearly everywhere these days, what happened to the term hospitality.

So instead of allowing this front desk person to tell me again call the res center I got angry and I let her know in so many words that I was... success!!! There is a 3rd party way to do it but call res center back, so I did explaining front desk said use third party, the child on the other end said once again call the front desk back... that was it, I went off like I wouldn't be able to tomorrow cussing out the reservation agent relentlessly, hung up on him finally. A few moments later I received confirmation it was paid for. I don't like to be that way, but the front desk nightmare continued on.

The final straw was I was outside smoking a cig and there were pigeons outside, the next door guest comes outside starts to feed them, 1 is being not allowed to eat, the guest goes back in, I decide to get a few crackers to try for the pigeon not eating, immediately some new control front desk freak approached me telling me to stop not the next door guest, that was the final insult on top of many I was going take, now I'm pretty sure I'm being watched and possibly abused. To cancel remaining stay is just as another nightmare so I will sleep and try again in the AM fretting getting refund on the card will actually take place since the agent didn't seem to know when either, I hung up on him too. The room was clean but not ready at 3pm as told, it was 6pm. I used 1 star rating in order to post, I wanted to give them nothing, and won't tell anyone to come here.

I have been Motel 6 registered user for the past 5 years. I have always booked with them online. I had a need in April to book a room in Oakland, CA, and their reservation system said that Motel 6 had now become My6, and I needed to change my password. I changed it five times unsuccessfully. Each time I tried to log in, I had to see the same message saying I needed to change my password. I finally had to call the reservation center to make the reservation. They said they were having issues with the site, and that I should wait a few days and try again.

Well four weeks later, due to a death, I need to book a room in Las Vegas for a funeral on May 7. I get the same message all over again, and tried to change my password 4 more times, with the same message. Change my password... I have to now call the reservation system to book the room again. I even sent an email this time... Someone was supposed to call me to tell me my account had been reset. I have not heard a peep after 2 days. Tom Bodett says, “He'll leave the light on for you”, but the reservation system sure doesn’t leave the app on for you... Frustrated.

She tells me I have to wait until tomorrow or I could come get the sheets and change them myself. I then spoke to a man who then brought me everything to turn down my bed. I did. I finally cut off the lights. I lay down and my body was being chewed on by adult bed bugs. I was then removed from my room without my wallet, clothes, jacket, everything for hours. I waited for a week to do this review to allow time to see if my opinion changed and it hasn't. We were there just for an overnight stay and were totally disappointed. The first room (212) we were given wasn't clean - beds weren't made, case of empty beer bottles left in room, dirty towels on floor in bathroom, dirty cup with drink in it on nightstand, tried to call front desk from phone and the phone didn't work. Went back to front desk and the lady at the front desk acted like she didn't remember us, it had only been about 10 minutes since we checked in and there wasn't anyone else checking then. We were given another room (211) - that room was cleaner BUT the desk chairs were filthy, there was a stain on one bedspread and the desk table was sticky.

These things were bad but we were willing to live with it for just a stop over stay. Beds were comfortable and sheets clean. Then we went to leave and the door would not open (from the inside)!!! We called the front desk and reported we were locked in our room and needed them to get us out. Of course their first question was did we have the deadbolt on and we had but now it wouldn't unlock. It took about an hour for her to get us out of the room. Since this was a different person than the one that checked us in we asked her to look at the room we were first given so she would know it had not been cleaned. They did give us 30% off our bill and she was very apologetic. I don't think we should have been charged anything, but after being locked in the room for almost an hour I just wanted to leave and did not argue the point. To say the least Motel 6 will be on my do not stay at list.

The manager came up and said that I can't have them outside. Fine. I was willing to move them INSIDE. Not even ten minutes later I heard a banging at my door. It was the manager and about 6-8 staff members barging in my room. Meanwhile there are guest all about the property outside as the world's largest gem show is taking place. They were acting like I was committing some kind of crime by not having housekeeping come in. I've never stopped them from coming In My room. I just didn't need vacuuming and all that every day.

I'm disabled and have medical conditions that just don't go with hotel living. So I felt very invaded, embarrassed and harassed and then two days later here she comes again talking about the fire alarm needs inspection. Why would someone who's paying top dollar now (gem show) want to put themselves in such a place. When my neighbor's walking around naked with his window curtains opened, people sleeping in their cars, vans tweakers running around the property all night yet they're not talking to any of them at all. I even paid for another week. However I'm looking for another place to go and will always speak bad about MOTEL 6 and how nasty they're to paying guest versus the ones coming out here for free. I reserved a room and when I showed up I was blocked with no one to explain why? I had dealt with some young kid who was new and I had dealt with him before. My senses told me he was a problem.

A week later I called to ask why this has happened? I was told it was because I had checked out at 4:30 pm, which is a total lie. Whenever I have checked out it was always at 1 pm, which I would ask and they allowed. Why the hell would I stay until 4:30 pm? I spoke with Brittany who does work there claiming to be a manager and she had checked me in several times so she knew who I was. I questioned this and all she would say is "My computer says this"? Really and who wrote that? Where is the proof? I would think housekeeping would know if I stayed that late?

There is a difference between arguing and making an argument, she goes by her computer to be true and accurate with no proof to provide. However I questioned her that she can't prove I stayed that late any more than I can now prove I left at 1 pm because I didn't go to the office. I would leave with leaving the key on the desk and closing the door. She wouldn't even hear me out and hangs up on me, then I call back and she slams the phone down hanging up again. As I called from another number she ignored the phone and let the fax pick it up. This is a manager's professional customer service, really? Then Brittany you should be fired!!!! This location is not perfect. It has many flaws. I don't expect 5 star service at a 2 star motel. This corporation is greedy and cares nothing for people. We didnt know of the laundry room either until we found it by accident. We didnt know about the room service either until I overheard another customer asking where he could get something to eat. They definitely need some real security guards, and not the one guy that just sits down in the lobby playing on his phone, to actually walk the hallways and enforce some rules like no ** smoking allowed in the motel or on its grounds and actually make the other customers feel a little safer.

One more thing, if you're going to allow pets, which I have 2 dogs, then supply bags to pick up the feces. For the past 3 weeks there has been none but they tell you to clean up after your dogs when youre outside walking them. They have the little doggie poop stand but no bags and hallways should also be vacuumed if they are going to be carpeted. Such a disappointment.

I called the front desk and they could not be of any assistance. Yes. The next morning I went to speak to the manager who is never onsite when needed, and they offered a 10% discount on my next visit. It was for about a week and part vacation and part Judo tournament for my youngest child. So we where on a budget. My husband found a bunch of motels online. We looked through the pictures together, Motel 6 had some good pics and very colorful blankets, sheets, walls, etcetera. So we went with it. When we got there we were surprised how small the room was. We barely had enough room to walk around the beds. The shower was big but all the water went out on to the floor. Also they would not provide us with any more towels than what was allowed. All in all we won't be staying there again. We have found better places to stay at that only cost a little bit more.

On Nov 14, 2017, in the Benson AZ Motel 6, I found a bug on my bed and videotaped it, with a sweep of the room to ID it as Motel 6, then squashed the insect, which spurted blood, and video'd that as well. A close-up of the insect video shows it identical to a bedbug on Wikipedia, and its coloration matches perfectly the description of a bedbug about 24 hours after it has feasted on someone - so it wasn't me, thankfully.

The hotel moved me and later refunded my money after other guests had woken me at 3 am with their non-stop yelling for over a half-hour across the hall (sounded like a drug deal), but they later insisted the insect was a "water bug" (roach, I think that means, which it was not). Because they were in denial, I called the Cochise County Health Department, but was given a wrong email address to send my photo and videos to. When I called back for a correct email, the health department no longer wanted my photo or videos, said they'd already inspected the room, and also concluded it was some other insect. Check out my photo and compare it to insect photos online. I'm willing to be shown any other bug that looks like this and when squashed produces bright red blood - please - or I have to assume this is a cover-up.

I arrived at the Freemont, CA Motel 6 and checked in on Oct 8, 2017. The motel appeared to be nearly full judging by the full parking lot. After checking in, I was pleasantly surprised to see an open parking spot directly in front of my assigned room. I got out of my car & opened the door of my smoke-free room only to be surprised by the strong smell of cigarette smoke. I have COPD & had specifically asked for a smoke-free room & was told all the rooms were smoke-free. I walked directly to the office & told them about this. After they told me they would tell the cleaning staff about my complaint they finally realized I was asking for another room. They then told me I could have one adjacent to the pool or one on the second floor. I explained there were no parking spaces available near these rooms. They then made it clear these were my only other options.

The pool area is very noisy and I was exhausted. I have total knee replacement so the second floor was not an option. I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to sleep in a room reeking of cigarette smoke and proceeded to my car to unload. Having went directly from my room to the office after checking my room I had not noticed the large spot of dried up vomit on the passenger side of my car (see attached photo). The parking spot was directly in front of my door and I was exhausted to complain further so I unloaded my car from the driver side. As I unloaded my car I noticed several cigarette butts around the front door of my room. I then went to brush my teeth and turned on the water at the sink to rinse. The water came out in different directions spraying all over me and the mirror as well. I was finally able to use it by carefully turning the water on at a very low flow.

I then went to get a shower. The shower had not been cleaned so I cleaned it with a hand towel and my shower gel. After beginning my shower I looked up and noticed that what I believed to be mold was on the ceiling (see photo). I finished my shower & went to sleep. Upon awakening I decided to turn on the TV as I was packing up. The TV didn't work and the remote batteries were held in with duct tape (photo attached). This wasn't a big deal but added to my Motel 6 experience. There are other small things that were wrong as well which were small but telling.

I called a friend before I left & he recommended that I take photos. Wish I had taken one of the bathtub before I cleaned it. I have stayed in other Motel 6's and found them to be generally clean and comfortable. This was an exception. Just tried to download images. The mold, vomit & remote photos came through but the sink video would not download. I will save it if you need to see it and on a medium that will accept videos.

Though I was holding my confirmation number, he only asked me to use my credit card. I was given a room, moved in, and went to visit my grandchildren. I returned later that evening and left the next morning to see them again. When I returned that night, the 14th, my key card only opened the door to the point where someone inside had slide the security bolt on. When I went to the desk, they said they had only booked me for one night, and, there, behind the desk, was my luggage. They had gone into the room and packed my belongings. Clearly, when I left my clothes hanging up and medication on the table, I was returning.

They did not bother to check to see their mistake. They gave me another room on the top floor, a challenge for me with replacement hips. When I returned home, I discovered that my medication and phone/tablet chargers were missing. The motel had also charged 3 nights on my credit card. Though these charges have been removed, they made no effort to rectify their mistakes. Clearly, this could have been worse had I walked in on the people who were then in "my room." I have been using this motel for the past decade and had no problems. However, I would never return and would warn anyone against going there. They handled my personal belongings, packed it up, without ever checking to see if there was an error on their part. Terrible management and dangerous use of key cards.

Sept. 8 I needed a room after days without rest due to botched Mexican surgery on my daughter who was admitted to San Diego hospital to save her life. I got a list from the hospital of cabs and hotels that they recommended and gave good deals to their families in need. I made a reservation for the 8-9th. Cab was called and away we went to San Diego Chula Motel 6. I live in Louisiana and know nothing of California. I had not had a bath in days and no sleep either. When I checked in I was given directions to my room on a third floor by pointing... When I got to the room I showered immediately although I did note mold in the shower. When I got out I had to cancel a flight and rearrange. I did this and something bit me.

I was on the phone and scratched but waited about 15 seconds before I realized something had bit me in the bed! When I jumped up a bug was crawling where my ankle had been and the bite had occurred. The room was filthy, smelled like a bar with cigarette smoke and had an ashtray in a non-smoking room. I threw back the linen and was horrified. There were crawling bugs, bugs playing dead and human hair, dirty feet area, and I was horrified. I was dressed and down to the lobby with luggage in less than a few minutes. I reported what I had found and they just looked at me. I requested a refund but they couldn't do that without the manager. The manager was not there of course. They called her and she said she could not do anything till the Terminix man examined the room and told her it was bed bugs. WTH! Bugs in a bed = bed bugs.

I produced photos of bugs, dirt, hair, mold, etc. and a video of the bugs crawling on the sheets. They just kept smiling in that innocent, I don't know what to do way. I told them I was checking out and gave them back the keycard. Called a cab and waited. That is when I noticed these were not the normal traveling clientele. These were people who lived there all the time. Junk cars, cursing women who would fit on a street corner better and partial payments with threats of having to leave if they did not pay what they owed in full. They had mentioned that they had guards on the premises at dark and I would be challenged if I was to wander around. I thought they were just extra safe. Seems this is a regular stop for dope dealers and crime according to other encountered.

I did not get my money refunded. Did not get the advertised senior discount, the no smoking room I reserved or the queen bed let alone bug free. I am aware sometimes things are gonna happen but not this. I know now that Motel 6 has a 1 1/4 star rating. I can't understand why it is that high. I have contacted corporate but nothing but runaround... I did receive written promise that their reservation specialist will be with me as quickly as possible. Guess he is booked up. Way over a month now. NEVER BUT NEVER WILL I DARKEN THE DOOR OF A MOTEL 6 ANYWHERE. MIGHT AS WELL TURN THAT LIGHT OFF.

I never thought too much on Motel except that it was cheap and available and mediocre on crimes and such. But one particular location I stayed at one of the days had such an amazing manager and staff. I really know a good business when I encounter one. Not only do they have a great manager who has customer skills naturally and you know when she manages well when you see her staff demonstrate similar hospitality (or same shift staff). Her staff are really friendly people (you know the workers that doing their job but don't really care or care about you or the business or service you receive?). Yes, they actually make at least an effort to give you satisfying service and I'd say is a promising deal and makes your stay so much better.) Not only did I really receive a real 5 star hospitality from every maid and worker, and (maybe by luck), also an amazingly friendly environment.

I was not asked to do this survey, and I was not whatsoever unconsciously writing a meaningless star act out of kindness. I haven't received this great of service for a long time and I have visited at least 11 different locations this last six months. I didn't realize they had such a low score and don't feel they deserve it. I honestly give them a better rating than Extended Stay San Jose staff members by far and a little safer or head to head on that one. Extended has more cops patrolling, and Hotel 6 has a better staff patrolling by far watching and following policies. A staff that appreciates feedback is one who does care about improving and being better. Today was fantastic experience thanks to Motel 6!!!:) I am happy and satisfied. Upon checking into the Motel 6 in Thibodaux Louisiana several nights back after a long long long trip with three friends and two dogs decided it was time to pull in and get some rest. If only we knew what was ahead of us. We checked into a room that was damp. It was so damp that the walls were sweating. There was mold growing on the roof. The AC was not working. Contacted the front desk several times. No one answered. We had to go in person to the front desk to report the room and its conditions to only find there's only one person working at the hotel and she was outside smoking and on her phone. Seems it had an attitude. When she had to rekey a room and make us move we move to the second room. We checked into that room. We noticed dead roaches in the tub.

The icebox had standing water. On the inside of it with mildew and dead nuts and was not working. The beds were not made. Look like someone woke up and left in a hurry. Again we had to go to the front desk. She was outside still smoking and on her phone. We got moved to the third room. Finally some relief. It was cold. It seemed very clean. The icebox did work. However the TV cord was cut but we didn't care. The next morning we were woken up by a maintenance lady who just walked into our room and our dog was in bed with us.

Our dog did with any other dog would do in this situation. We are all asleep. The door abruptly opens and someone that the dog has never seen before comes barging in. Say "excuse me. I have to look at the ceiling to make sure that there's no water". The dog charged after her and did not bite her and she leaves screaming down the balcony like a maniac which is the wrong thing to do because that'll only make a dog further its attack. I don't understand how policies are written for these hotels when you say it's pet friendly but you don't enforce people to have camels. If people need to keep their animals in kennels to prevent these types of things from happening then it should be made aware of at check in at the front desk.

This lady that likes to smoke and play on her phone could clearly see that we had two dogs and no kennels. She watched just move to three different rooms. Keep in mind further I don't see how anyone of any type of personnel can just walk into a room without knocking first making themselves heard. These employees need to be trained properly. You work in a pet friendly hotel. You are walking up to a room. You do not know what is on the other side of the door. You need to make yourself heard and please request that your dog is restrained or picked up that you have to enter the room that would be the professional thing to do. But clearly this place doesn't know anything about professionalism.

I am now going through a lawsuit right now with this hotel because of their lack of better judgement and I do not think it's right but all good things come in good time. This is a full-out warning for anyone who thinks about checking into this hotel. These are the type of things that you will be subject to. We were also kicked out of the hotel as if we did something wrong. My dog ran away out of a frantic state and ran in the road and a few days later we discovered that she had been killed by a car on the road. Now comes my lawsuit.

My friend and I along with our sons' was traveling from Atlanta, GA to Chattanooga, TN. We decided to stay overnight in East Ridge, Tn. We arrived at approx 3:50 pm and paid 70.00 cash for a room with 2 double beds. It was hot out and boys wanted to go swim. So we put our stuff in room and went to pool for couple hours. About 10:00 we were all ready to settle in for evening, I pulled a nasty stained thin bed cover back and to my surprise there was a dead bug on sheet. EWWW... It gets much worse. I just took that sheet off bed and was ok with just one sheet. Around midnight I was awoken by an intense urge to scratch my feet and legs. My friend Christy was already awake with same problem. So were our sons - we pulled covers back and was shocked -- there was bed bug feces along with blood stains on mattress. I ran into the bathroom and threw up for 10 min.

We took pics of the vile and unsanitary conditions we saw. Around 2:30 in morning we all agreed to cut our vacation short and go home! So I went to the office and told lady working (didn't get her name but she was a ** lady working the night shift on Fri Aug 18th thru Sat am Aug 19th 2017.) that we were leaving due to bedbugs and I wanted my money back or at least half of it. She said No she couldn't do that, I advised her I was calling Tenn board of health, BBB, filing a bed bug report -- and by the way Motel 6 has another complaint from 2016 that never got any attention or resolved. DON'T STAY AT MOTEL 6 -- EAST RIDGE TN!!!

Motel 6 in front royal VA - I arrived at the motel to find out that the pool outside was drained and that's the main reason I have stayed here in the past. I specifically reserved a room with 2 double beds on 1st floor a month in advance and I ended up with a King bed and the room had no table to sit at. The sink in the bathroom was so small that I had no room to put my toiletries. The door had a gap around it after it was shut big enough to see thru if needed.

The Lobby had to have been 90 degrees and there was no coffee pot in the room and the coffee pot in the lobby was so small that it had to continuously be filled and the coffee was so bad that we ended up at 7-11 getting coffee. This is a ridiculous place and we will never stay there again. Housekeeping came in and emptied my trash and did not even clean bathroom or make bed up.There was hair in the bathtub :( When I opened the drawer in the nightstand it fell over because it was being held up by a piece of wood...

So, I came here. Disgusting and dirty room. For $141, all I got was a bed, 2 hard chairs, table with TV, dirty and disgusting bathroom, toilet seat not secured, microwave and fridge (which I didn't even want to look in). Everything skeeved me out. There were no tissues, no alarm clock, no toiletries, no hair dryer, no extra pillows (king bed only came with 3), no extra blankets, no closet, no coffee maker. The walls had holes and were very dirty. I felt very dirty and unsafe. I didn't even shower there in the morning. I would have preferred to sleep in my car. DISGUSTING!!!

Okay I stayed in Sylmar hotel Motel 6 and I was very disappointed to say the least. The people in front were absolutely the rudest people I've ever spoken to. They judge me because I was dirty from work they spied on me the whole time. I could hear him walking outside the door making rude comments. Later that day I got back to my room late and it seemed like someone was going through my stuff so I looked around things seem weird. I look up in the AC vent and there I found liquid LSD believe it or not wow I took it with me for sample. Then the next week I try to check in on Monday and they said that I had damaged room call my boss made a big stink about it claim that I broke everything in there and I had thousands of dollars worth of damage obviously the maintenance wanted his LSD back... That wasn't going to happen so they called my boss and said I damaged the room.

I have not done anything wrong I might have left a couple pieces of trash on the ground but other than that the room was just like I found it. These people are drug artists and they seem to be running a racket of prostitution or something and over there this is a rooms and Sylmar you probably can't sleep there cuz all night long I hear people babbling and stuff going on around me this is the worst place I've ever stayed.

DO NOT STAY AT THE MOTEL 6 IN FARMINGTON, NM OR THE MOTEL 6 IN SANTA ANA/IRVINE CA AT 1717 DYER RD ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT LOCATIONS!!! Let me start by saying that I have stayed at Motel 6 since I was a child with my mom on vacations and they were always clean, safe, and reasonably priced! That's when they were American owned and operated. Now they're mostly owned by middle eastern people who are very rude and the rooms are nasty and the types of people that hang around them is appalling! I recently took a two week long road trip with my 12 yr old daughter and my sister from north central Texas to the four corners, Winslow AZ, Grand Canyon, Sequoia National Park, San Francisco, Los Angeles, White Sands NM, and Roswell NM.

Our first stop was in Farmington NM at a Motel 6 on June 27, 2017. We got there and the room was DISGUSTING. Huge stain on the carpet that appeared to be blood that hadn't even attempted to be cleaned and the same thing splattered all over the drapes. The stench in the room was atrocious! To the point we wondered if someone had been murdered in there. My daughter would start coughing every time she walked in the room and she has asthma. After 2 hrs of trying to air the room out and soaking everything with Febreeze, while my daughter was in the pool so she didn't have to breath it, we still couldn't get the horrible smell out and my daughter continued to cough every time she walked in to the point her chest and throat were burning and I was afraid of a full blown asthma attack.

So despite the fact that we had just driven 20 hrs and it was getting late we decided to get a refund and found somewhere else to stay. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and understanding. I would like to point out that she was an American. She had me fill out a form and my refund was back in my bank within 48 hrs. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone simply because of the nastiness and the people that hung around outside that had apparently had their brains permanently fried from drug use. But the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and hospitable.

Now for our next Motel 6 experience on the same trip. This was on July 3, 2017. Motel 6 Santa Ana CA 1717 Dyer Dr near the Orange Co Airport. Again it was late when we got there and there was a gentleman in the lobby waiting on a manager for a refund because his room was so disgusting. Staff was extremely rude and unaccommodating from the time we walked in. But we decided to give it a shot thinking maybe the other guy was just really picky and we tried to just ignore the rudeness of the staff, it was late and we knew it would be hard to find a room around LA that was reasonably priced the day before a holiday. I asked for a room downstairs Or a building with elevators because im disabled and stairs are hard for me. We were given an upstairs room but in a building that had no elevators. Still we decided to tough it out.

We finally found the building with our room in it with no help from the staff. It's a closed building with the room doors inside. We asked for nonsmoking as my daughter has asthma. We opened the outside door to the hallway that our room was on and the smell of ** smoke was so strong it almost knocked us down and the smoke was thick. We hurry to the room to get out of the smoke and it was so bad our empty room smelled like it too! There were cigarette burns all over the floor, furniture, and bedding. The sheets were filthy and there was an ashtray in the room. I called the front desk and the man who answered was rude. I explained the situation and told him we asked for non smoking. He told me that the side of the hallway we were on was non smoking but the other side of the hall was smoking. (Like smoke doesn't travel). He said we could have a refund so I told him I would be down to discuss it and hung up.

My daughter and I went back to the front desk and I asked the man to do something about the other guests smoking ** so much that it was getting into our "nonsmoking" room. He told me I would have to call the police. I told him that it was not my job to deal with other guests and he should call them. He called and after a very short phone call he told me there was nothing anyone could do because ** is legal in California so I told him I would be back and we went back to the room where my sister was waiting. Between my sister and I both searching we finally found a different motel that wasn't too far away and was more expensive but we kind of had no choice. I could NOT let my child stay somewhere and breath that in. Not to mention the way the justice system works today I would've gone to jail for child endangerment for staying there and "letting" her breath it.

I went back down to the desk and asked for my refund. He got out a piece of paper and wrote our room number which was the WRONG room number. I asked him to change it 3 times to which he finally replied "I'll change it when I get ready to change it." After he filled some more stuff out he told me he would give it to the manager in the morning because he couldn't do the refund himself. I asked for a receipt or something in writing showing I would get my refund. He told me they have no way of printing receipts but he would give me a copy of the little paper he filled out for the manager which STILL had the wrong room number on it so of course I refused that. He said he could call the police again. I asked for what. Calling the first time didn't help any and he proceeded to tell me they would remove ME from the property for causing a disturbance! Because I wanted proof I was getting my refund?!

I told him it was ** and slid the room keys across the counter so they would be on his side of the desk and he wouldn't be able to claim that I didn't turn them in and I left. I called the motel back the next day to speak with the manager, who was of middle eastern descent by the way, and was told he didn't know if I would get a refund because the clerk from the night before told him that I THREW the room key cards at him! He would need to review the security video. I told him "Please do. I didn't throw anything." He also said since the police were called I was probably not entitled to a refund. I explained that the police were not called ON me they were called FOR me about the other guests smoking marijuana. He said it was up to corporate so I asked for corporate's number. Got it. I called and asked if it was corporate and was told yes so I proceeded to explain everything.

She put me on hold and called the manager and was told that I would be refunded the entire amount but the first night had already been refunded and the second night would be refunded but it would show up in my acct a day after the first night. "Corporate" told me that if it wasn't back in my acct within 3 days then I should call them back. Ok. Fine. After 3 days I still had no refund so I called corporate back to find out that it wasn't actually corporate it was the customer relations dept which might be part of corporate but not the main part I wanted to talk to. Anyway the man that answered escalated the issue and transferred me to someone "higher" up. This lady also checked with the manager while I was on hold and told me only the first night was refunded and I explained to her the separate dates yadda yadda yadda so she puts me on hold again.

Comes back and confirms that yes I was getting the entire amount but in two separate transactions. And when I told her I still had NO refund at all she puts me back on hold. While I was on hold I googled Motel 6 corporate and got a completely different number and called from my sister's phone. During this time I had been on hold for 24 min with the customer relations lady on MY phone at which time the call "disconnected." I continue to go over everything with the lady from the new "corporate" number and after being put on hold several times she also tells me I get a full refund but in two separate payments but it could be up to 15 days but their end shows it's been refunded so I should call my bank because they probably have it on hold. Finally the first nights refund shows up in my acct.

Days later after I'm back home from our trip. I still don't have the second night's refund and no manager has ever called me back. I had made calls to the actual Motel 6 in between calling corporate and customer relations to speak with the manager. Manager was either not there or was in meetings etc but never available to talk to me so a msg would be left for him to call. Never did. Still hasnt as of July 15, 2017. So I call my bank. They're not holding anything. There simply hasn't been a refund issued. Call "corporate" back. Now the story is "we don't know if you're getting a refund or not for night 2. It has just now made it to the motel';s assistant general manager and if you file a dispute through your bank then you definitely will not get a refund. Someone from corporate or the asst gen mgr of the motel will call you back within 24-48 hrs to let you know whats going on."

Surprise surprise it's been well over that timeline and no call. I called my bank back and was told to wait the full 15 days and if I still don't have a refund for the second night then they will refund my money and go after Motel 6 to get reimbursed since I didn't stay either night at the motel. Well what do you know? I FINALLY got my refund for the second night also just ONE day before my bank would've gone after them! No one should be treated the way we were treated and I'm sure I have been added to the "no rent list" that I've seen other customers talk about but no skin off of my back. I didn't plan on using a Motel 6 again anyway!?? I will miss the American owned or operated one on beach blvd across the street from the beach in Biloxi Beach MS. They are always clean, safe feeling, accommodating, and reasonably priced!

Stayed here very many times and the price on the rooms is a set price and pets are always free at Motel 6 yet he charges more at times and always insists on cash. And charges me ten dollars more for each person. Says price set is for one person and ten additional for each person. I’m paying 80 for a single bed 2 people when price on ad says 58 for 2. I asked for my money back so that I could leave and was told no and asked to speak to a manager and was told no and given a number to a housekeeper pretending to be the manager, I tried to call and reserve another room and the staff was very rude and kept hanging up on me each time I tried to ask them a question.

After I tried to pay for another day I was told to leave immediately, that I was not welcomed to stay at the motel ever again because someone called the cops on me and told that I could not speak to a supervisor or manager to just leave. I would like my money back for the inconvenience of rushing me out within a 15 minute notice and harassing me with the police.

I thought Motel 6 was supposed to be designed for those love to travel but are on a budget. I chose Motel 6 because I have a friend that loves to enjoy life like everyone else but not rich. I certainly don't expect it to be anything like the Waldorf Astoria Hotel but the most important requirements are that it be clean and decent and in working order. At least the air conditioner and the shower and lights were working but the sheets were dirty with lipstick stains, the bedspread was damaged with cigarette burns and the room reeked of cigarette smoke and we chose non-smoking.

The cashier was unprofessional, I had to ask for my receipt after I paid. I can forego amenities including TV, pool, free coffee and free breakfast but NO ONE should have to sleep in dirty sheets. We are human beings, not pigs. Never again will I even give second thought to Motel 6 nor would I even recommend it to my worst enemy. Better get your act together and improve or you will spiral downwards and eventually be out of business.

After a very exhausting and stressful day, around 3 a my hubby and I went to Motel 6 Old Sacramento off Richard's Blvd in Sacramento, CA building #1305. First off let begin with while checking in mind you it's 3a... They're in the process of already "evicting" a family of two boys younger than 5. One of the workers were new! So I tell him I want one night not knowing how this hotel policy is and get checked in. Around 12:30, one of housekeeping came and knocked on the door hella loud and kept knocking til I answered, then questioned me if I'm supposed to be in the room and asked if I paid, umm yes I paid just totally rude. So an hour passes by she comes back, knocks on the door and then even opened my dam door but she couldn't open it completely 'cause I had the lock on so I tell her that was wrong, hear the lady from HOUSEKEEPING telling me I didn't pay, where's the staff??

So I go talk to the office and I basically told her I paid and blah blah, so then she said, "Oh I'm sorry bout that I'ma leave a note for my manager," okay thanks then I get a call back in 45 mins later from her saying basically her manager said I gotta go 'cause after a certain time I guess then it counts for the next day. Wait. what??? Let me talk to him myself please, he now gets on the phone, sounding frustrated and now rude and basically treating me like I'm one of these bums tryna get over on him which is not the case. I never ever... left after check out time which I thought it's 11a but now it's 12p. I'm trying to explain everything to this man, and telling him if I knew it was just 4/6 hours I would of never paid 102 dam dollars. I even had my kids with me at that time. He straight told me I'm way past my time to check out, and I have 10 minutes to leave his premises or he'll call security!!!

Woohh I'm leaving, I'm leaving... like dude at least understand the confusion we had not flash on me and treat me and my kids like crap. Ohh but he did offer 5 percent discount if I wanted to say... umm no I'm leaving, not gonna be around all these people that hates their jobs so makes my stay hell. Asked the manager what his name was and he said PJ I believe I said what's your last, he cut me off and said you don't need my last name. That's all you need. I have NEVER been treated with messed up customer service on top of him saying I need receipt, the guy never gave me one.

So basically me and my family left, felt the uncomfortable hospitality and drive off. Just found my pink paper you're supposed to have in your car at all times... and I knew I wasn't crazy... but I honestly feel I shouldn't been treated like that way. He shouldn't be a manager if he can't even lead in his staff about customer service and hospitality when those are the main two things that should be judged when hiring.

OH and when my family tried to go to the Motel 6 in West sac later that day, the lady scanned my ID and told me she go not rent to me, and that I'm banned from EVERY MOTEL 6!! I'm just so disrespected, frustrated and just wanted to break but I know I could tell my story so they know what kind of employees they have at that location. All the other ones... thumbs up!! It's been awhile since we stayed at Motel 6. It was not fancy but it was always clean. I was astounded that anyone has the nerve to charge guests to stay here!!! I asked for a new bedspread, as the old one had cigarette burns and old gum stuck all over it and received one that was worse. It has cigarette holes, bodily fluids, some kind of sticky black matter all over it. It smells like cigarettes and sex... And this was supposed to be a better comforter? I'm so angry... I'm laying on my rain coat, as there are sex stains on the bed. My beach towel is over me as I dare not use the sheet or comforter. I kept my clothes on, as did my husband. He used the beach towel under him with his rain coat as a cover. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel this nasty.

SHAME ON MOTEL 6. The only positive note, the lady who checked us in was pleasant. My husband was also upset thinking that a company like Travelocity would NEVER list such a hotel. Shame on them too! They are going to lose our business. If things were not bad enough I went to change the toilet roll... What I thought was all rust isn't. There is human feces where the toilet paper hangs. Thank God for hand sanitizer as there is not any soap or shampoo! This was beyond disgusting. I have dogs, while they can have some nasty behaviors. They have the good sense not to soil where they lay or eat. I can't say the same for whomever stayed here and for Motel 6, who steals your money with false advertisement, that thinks this is nastiness is acceptable to humans.

He said he had only been doing the front desk job for about a week and he probably would quit... Good attitude. There were six people waiting ahead of me with one woman had been waiting since 3pm to check in. She finally got a room and a key, came right back and said the door was open and there was stuff on the floor. Another person got a key and came right back and said the key did not work and it sounded like someone was in the room.

When they finally got to me, they checked my info in but said they could not give me a room for at least an hour because of the lack of room that were ready. At that time I said the hell with it and took my name off the reservation list. Went about a mile down the street and immediately found a room and paid double the rate Motel Six charged which was $200. Motel Six was a $100. I guess it is true that you get what you pay for. I will never book a room at another Motel Six and Tom Bodett will not be leaving the light on for me. Maybe Motel Six could refund the $100 difference between the two places... Ha! Ha!

Stay at Motel 6 room 150 in Americus Georgia. This room was totally disgusting!! I don't think the room has been reminded since the motel was built. The tub, toilet, sink was old. Finish coming off the tub. Opened soap left on sink. Soap paper left in shower. Smoke detector on counter. Shower handle loose and corroded. TV had 2 remotes. One to turn TV on and another to change channels. A gap in front door about a 1 1/2 wide. Real safe! A.C. unit had filth in it. By microwave looked like coffee had been spilled. The only thing clean was the bed. We drove all night. We were exhausted. Had planned on two nights there. We spend about 2 hours there. I paid $66. For a dump. Called Motel 6. When they called the motel. They said they didn't have a room 150. Well we have picture of the room's door and everything else. Don't book at Motel 6 @ Americus Georgia.

I have stayed at Motel 6 everywhere for years. Always a good experience. But on June 19, 2017, I had a reservation at the Motel 6 in Orange, TX. on 27 Street. I had stayed there the previous week for 3 days, checked out and went to visit relatives for a few days. Come back on the 19 to check in. Went into office there. I was meet by a very rude clerk. I noticed the manager was standing off to the side trying to hide down a hall, then heard the manager tell the motel clerk something in a different language that I couldn't understand. The clerk turned to me. Then said, "I'm not renting you a room, you owe us money." I ask how did he figure that??? He said I owed 57.00 from my last stay. I told him that I didn't, I checked out when I was supposed to, and if I had owed them money why wasn't it brought to my attention when I checked out...

He and the manager continued speaking in a different language. I was then told, "I'm not renting you a room, get off of my property." I was furious and shocked. I have seizures and a service dog for them. When I left the property I got back onto Interstate 10 heading towards Lake Charles in 530 rush hour traffic. While driving I started feeling really funny, my dog Cheyenne started doing like she does when she knows something is wrong, she gets close to me starts licking my face and arm to try and calm me down. She probably saved my life and others this day, I pulled to the shoulder and she and I did what we knew to do help each other out. Thankfully she kept me from having a FULL BLOWN seizure.

After I got to where I thought I could safely drive I found me another motel, checked in and rested. The next morning I called my doctor to make an appointment to see how bad the seizure was. Waiting to see doctors now. Hope Motel 6 and the employees of the property in Orange, TX really think before they treat people that way. Will be speaking with an attorney to see what he and my doctor think I should do. I can promise that I will NEVER STAY OR RECOMMEND STAYING AT MOTEL 6 ANYWHERE.

We purchased a 4 night stay online at the Motel 6 in South Eugene, Oregon, right off the I-5 freeway, starting Monday, June 12, 2017. Our experience was not good from the time we got there. We got there around 11:30 am, and we were told that there were no clean double bed rooms on the first floor at that time. The clerk said we could have a room down the hall, but we would have to wait for a few hours. She said she had no idea when it would be clean. We went to visit my family here in Eugene, and got to the room around 8 to 9 pm. When we got there we found that there was no refrigerator nor microwave nor coffeepot. We also found 2 wash rags that were dirty with makeup on them. He also checked the water, and it took forever to get warm water. While we were unhappy with all of this, we still stayed one night.

Also, I decided I wanted to go online, and went down to the office to get the password, and I was told that there were 2 prices if I wanted to go on, and it cost $2.99 or $4.99 for premium. (I have used the internet for years, so I didn't understand what that meant, but I didn't buy it anyway.) This motel has WiFi advertised on very large signs that are very visible from the freeway, and I thought this was terrible that we get there and we had to pay. I told the clerk no other place charges for WiFi and left the office. (This is crazy because even McDonald's has free WiFi.)

The next morning when we got up at around 6:30 am, and my husband had to use the bathroom, and it got plugged up. That was the last straw. We checked out and have gotten into a much better motel down town. We ordered this stay at Motel 6 because of staying at your motels in the past. We have stayed at a couple of them in Washington near the airport that have everything, so this is what we were expecting at the Eugene location. I have always had good thoughts about Motel 6, but this visit was disturbing, and now I don't know what to think.

Because of a baseball tournament we booked a room for Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Hotels.com. When I booked the room it said $66 a night, $76 and some change after taxes but was charged $81.23 when we got there. When I asked why the total kept changing I was told it was because the computers don't update till the weekend. Needing the room, I paid it but not before questioning the sign on the counter that stated if we were checking in a pet it had to be checked in at the front desk. I explained that when booking the room I didn't see anything about them allowing pets. I was assured that the rooms were cleaned properly and there shouldn't be an issue.

So we pull around to the side of the motel and go in. I can smell pet odor in the hallway and in the bedroom. So I go down the street to get food for us leaving my son's dad, my son and his friend at the motel. While I'm gone my son and his friend go to check out the pool. These are teenage boys and anyone with a teenage boy knows they don't really care about the conditions of things but these two teenage boys come back stating that they will not get in the pool. I asked why and they stated that it smelt bad and was disgustingly gross and dirty. So we sit down to eat and a bug crawls across one of the beds. This was the last straw and we had decided we were not going to stay there. We had strong storms rolling in so we received a message from the coach stating that they wanted to get the final game in before the storms hit and that we needed to get to the field ASAP.

So we went to the field actually hoping they lost because I didn't want to have to spend money on another motel/hotel. While at the game I talked to a few other people and they had some issues with cleanliness and a few other things as well. I had another parent who stayed at the Econolodge for not much more than I paid for the room at Motel 6 and received 2 King size beds without bugs and a pool that could be used. So we lost and we went to the motel to talk to the manager and explain that we would not be staying and why. They wouldn't even entertain the thought of even a partial refund so I drive 3.5 hours back home, getting home after midnight and being out $81. With Monday being a holiday I call the Motel 6 Corporate office and state my complaint. I receive a call later that day (6:30 pm-ish) with the name and phone number of the owner of the motel.

Ok first of all, it is good business practice for the owner to contact the customer but whatever. So I call the next day and it is the motel. I ask for the owner and he wasn't in yet. I was asked to give my phone number so he could call me back. He would be in at 10 and give me a call. 11:45 rolls around and no call. So I call back and Mr. **, the owner answers the phone. I explain everything and he says he will speak with the manager that was there that weekend and give me a call back. Never heard from him so I call him again. He says he cannot give me any type of refund. When I asked why and tried to state my case, he hung up on me. I called the Corporate office again and they said I had to speak with Mr. ** as he was the owner. I asked how I'm supposed to talk with him when he hung up on me? I was told he is who I have to talk to.

So I call him back and asked if he hung up on me. He said yes because I was being rude and not listening to him. I find that interesting that I was the rude one when he is the one who hung up on me. Again, not good business practices. To make a long story short, I'm still out $81 at a place that was so disgusting we were not about to stay there, the manager hung up on me and the Corporate office won't do anything to help me. To top it off I called just yesterday again and I'm almost positive it was the owner Mr. ** who answered the phone but acted like it wasn't and said he would give the message to Mr. ** to call me.

Guess what... no call, SURPRISE SURPRISE. So as for a review, the Motel was nasty, the owner's customer service is beyond the worst, I'm pretty sure they charged me more than they should have, and the Corporate Office doesn't care anymore for the customer than the owner of the motel does. So if you must stay in Hannibal I recommend paying a little more or driving to the next town rather than staying at the Motel 6.

I recommended this motel for my Son's wedding guests. I had stayed here several times. He reserved a block of rooms for May 19 thru the 20th. I called Feb 16th to reserve 2 rooms for May 19th and 20th. My confirmation # **. I had it with me when I got to the motel on the 19th. My other son had made reservations also that week of the wedding. He also arrived on May 19th. I was told that all of the rooms were cancelled by corporate that morning. We had no room; any of us. We had to take what they had, no explanation as to why our rooms were cancelled or the block for the wedding. That was 3 rooms that were cancelled supposedly that morning. I asked for the corporate phone number because I needed to know why.

The room floors were filthy. My one son's room had used sheets, bugs in the bathroom, filthy floor. They got a handicapped room; which was all that was left. 5-24-17 I called corporate to get to the bottom of this. I told them what happened and they said that it was the site motel that cancelled the reservations and that was done on 4-9-17. Again no explanation. Corporate called the site motel 2x while I was on the line, with no one able to give a reason for it. Then I was told that the manager of guest relations would call me about the complaint within 72 hrs.

So according to corporate they were not cancelled 5-19-17. They were cancelled 4-9-17 with no warning and they also said it was not because of my credit card because they would not check it at the time anyway. So I waited for a call from corporate that never came. I called again 12 days later 6-5-17. The manager would not talk to me. She would have to call me back. She did not. I called 6-6-17 same run around. Then I was told that the property manager told corporate that she was going to call me on 5-25-17. This did not happen either. So I called the property 6-6-17. Again the run around. They refuse to explain their actions; everyone blaming someone that is not there to speak to. They have no intention of speaking to me about this Blatant screw up and mistreatment! This is their business! This was my Son's wedding! We were 6hrs from home! I recommended this motel! I had been very happy with it in the past! I will never stay there again!

I stayed at Motel 6, Jersey Village, Houston, Texas for an extended period of time. A total of 12 weeks in the last year alone on three separated stays. The hotel management team was very unprofessional. I had not had a problem there until I mentioned that I noticed the really large blood stain on the mattress. I was concerned for my health and I was told that if I wanted to see a doctor, that they would not pay for it. I was also told that they would not refund me for the time I had been sleeping on the bloody mattress. The way the matter was handled was that I was put on a DNR (do not rent) list. The manager also lied and said that I created a disturbance. When I call to report this, I was told that they could not refund my stay because of the DNR due to the disturbance. I was shocked! I asked "What disturbance?" I had no idea, because there was none.

Motel 6 never even made an effort to repair or even investigate the problem. The hotel is old and rundown and the only reason I would stay at that hotel was because it was pet-friendly. One room was really moldy, one had ants and roaches, another the water wouldn't drain because the tile was set wrong, and another wouldn't drain. They don't keep extra sheets and towels, so you always have to wait for stuff. I never complained about any of problems, until the bloody mattress incident. The nasty mattress was just more than I could take.

My wife and I checked into the Motel 6 on 125 Arsenal Road in York PA on Friday night April 28th 2017. After a bunch of confusion as to whether or not we were confirmed there or not we started to unload our luggage onto one of their rolling carts only to find out that the carpet on the cart was soaking wet and soaked all of our luggage including items I had just purchased at a trade show. We complained and they did nothing so we carried everything to our room by ourselves. That is where all the trouble began. Upon entering the room (105) we found the floor which was NOT carpet but fake wood or something else covered in water.

I noticed a small refrigerator in the corner of the room and assumed the water came from that. I slowly moved the refrigerator aside and I was shocked and disgusted at what I found. I was not exactly sure of what it was so I asked my wife to confirm what I found. What it was, was a completely USED feminine sanitary period pad soaked in blood floating in the water. Even worse than that there were TWO of them in the water. I asked my wife to come and take pictures with her cell phone and could only get so close as she did not want to step in the water. I immediately went down to the front desk where there were 3 women working there and explained what I had found. Not one of them wanted anything to do with it and were actually afraid to go and see what was there (even though they use them their selves not me).

I was never offered a room change and they expected us to sleep there with the pads and the water on the floor. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was not available to speak with me at all. After going back and forth for about an hour and NO ONE inspecting the room at all we decided to leave. While all of this yelling was going on a 10 or 12 year girl was sitting the lobby with her eyes wide open while we discussed period products and how to properly dispose of them. I have had 2 wives and a daughter and even I know how to do it not just drop it on the floor in a motel room. After a while the little girl's father decided it was enough for her to hear and went to his room to check for similar products with traumatized daughter in hand. We left the hotel and slept somewhere else that night.

Since then I have contacted the PA Dept. of Health since this was definitely a health hazard since we had no idea what could have been on them from AIDS to HIV. None of the females would touch or go near any of it and never even saw the room so we have great pictures to show. I even contacted the local Fox TV Station and after hearing my story said they would send a reporter to check it out. I even contacted the largest newspaper in town and they offered the same thing. Both places asked for and received the pictures my wife took and the TV fellow said it was one of the most disgusting things he had ever seen (and yes I have his name and title). I also contacted Motel 6 by phone and explained the same story and the woman (have her name too) asked for the pictures while we were on the phone and we sent them and she too said it was disgusting.

I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and they have already refunded me the money. The manager (**) has still not contacted me as I write this. The only thing that would make me happy is for all four women to be fired from their jobs immediately and put out on the street. I have not as yet decided to go the attorney route for what we suffered but will say my cousin works for the premier Law firm in Philly backed by both a State Senator and a US Senator. My costs will be none at all and Motel 6 will be paying all the costs. I could keep this going for 5 years if I want to. I do not care at all. I want them terminated and will continue to work to have that accomplished no matter how long it takes. They are going down for what they did not do or offer to do. ** if you are reading this you are in charge so you come first.

If I have to speak to the President personally and will fly to wherever corporate is and present my case in person with all the gory pictures. Never stay in a Motel 6. They are one step higher than a tent under an interstate overpass. And guess what it smells the same! I read all the way to the bottom of the page and believe me this is not fake and the zero tolerance should be for your employees and not for your guests!

I noticed my camera was missing around an hour after leaving after seeing a storm I wanted to get a photo of. I am a storm chaser after all. I called the motel in Terrell, Texas and asked the reception about my missing camera. She was cagey, and hung up twice and after I mentioned the police, she took my number and assured me that a call would be made to me if it was found. I however don't believe her and neither does my friend. I am suspicious that they have it and don't want to return it to me as it is not their property and I have had to shell out $250 for a new camera because of their inept attitude and lying. I suspect that one of the cleaning maids took it and sold it perhaps for drugs.

I have said to myself that I will not be staying there again, even if I am low on fuel, I will find another hotel where they don't steal from their guests. Note to Motel 6, return my camera and I will remove this post for you, and it will be all over. I doubt it will be because you would be admitting to theft and I could involve the police. However, if my camera is returned, I wont report the matter to police. Again, I don't see that happening. It was a white Samsung WB350F digital camera in a black pouch with a 64GB SD card in it. The first 3 days was okay and afterwards she gave me hell. I asked one housekeeper if I can use the broom to sweep the room because I didn't want to awake my baby that was sound asleep. She told me the manager had informed all the staff members not to let me use the supplies nor broom.

I then contacted the manager and asked if I could use the broom. She started rudely yelling at me telling me she sick and tired of me asking her staff and asking her to use the cleaning supplies and if I asked again she would put me on a do not rent status. I said “but I asked once but was told no,” she said “I don't give a” almost said the f word but quickly corrected herself and said “care” and said “if you don't like it you can come down and get a refund,” but I wasn't able the fact that I had my two small children and no transportation and the fact I hadn't caused no problems there. I just said okay and hung up. The manager is not professional and does not deserve that job at all.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!! I stayed at the Motel 6 on 1450 W Dundee, Palatine, Il, #4722. I was in room 127. I was scheduled to stay from 4/9/2017-4/11/2017 but I was forced to leave a day earlier and find some other place because the place stunk so bad of cigarette smoke. The entire hallway and the room. This really bothered me because it says no smoking and has no smoking signs everywhere all over the hallways yet this place reeks of smoke. I could not breathe.

The toilet in my room was leaking water all over the floor from the bottom of it. A lot of water which I notified the staff about and was only giving some extra towels. The nightstand on the side of the bed was not properly attached to the wall. It would move anytime I got on the bed. The TV reception was fuzzy on every single channel. Was no point in even trying to watch any TV. The room did not have a blanket on the bed, only the sheets and some bed cover thing.

The Pakistan woman and man were so rude! Once I came into the lobby with elderly mom and service dog. The woman told me "The dog was not allowed in lobby area so to take him out", in a very rude voice and she said "Who told you dogs were allowed." I told her I called the night before to verify it and was told I could' and that he was a service dog. She shook her head and said ok! Then the man comes in and they spoke something in their language and he checked our reservation and told me it was only for two people but no I said I made it for three people through expedia. He insisted that it only showed for two so I had to pay extra to not argue. Told him we requested upstairs room he said you have a dog you stay downstairs so gave us the keys and went to the room. Went in, my mom was so tired from drive and had to use the bathroom so bad but I got to tell you the room smelled like cat urine.

It was not good for my 87 year old mom to smell or anyone for that matter. We had to get out of there! So went to the lobby to the desk and I told the man that there was no way we could stay in that room. It was very humid and it stunk so bad I almost vomited. He tells her to check the room. She calls him and says "You used the bathroom" and I told him "My mom really had to use it. I'm sorry." He just was angry and said "You shouldn't have used it", got mad. I told him I was so upset that they were so rude to us he told me to get out, shoved the money on the desk and I told him I would never recommend that hotel to anyone. The worst experience I ever had I just don't know how anyone could sleep in that filth and smell. We will never stay at a Motel 6 ever again I can promise you!!!

I don't recommend anyone to stay at Motel 6 in North Little Rock off Mccain Blvd! As I persisted to check-in went to first room and was moved to second room due mechanical problems with TV. Then proceeded to go to second room and got there as well. Tub had tissue in tub. Cleaned. Run. As taking bath still tissue floating in water. Then I thought might have plumbing problem. So contacted maintenance and maintenance mgr came to assist with problem and had stated there was a plumbing problem but had been rectified! So she persist in plunging tub and she retrieved hair, nail (both toe and fingernails), tissue clogging and I stated "gross." Still she did not recommend move. Also complained of this TV as well not working. Line going across picture. Maintenance mgr. stated she had put in for 12 new TV and did not know if she was going to get.

Nevertheless I stated my grandson had taken a bath as well in that tub so thereafter I bought bleach and detergent and disinfect tub. Then there was problem with blood splattered on wall. OMG! I'm like "I'm not disinfecting that" so I stayed away from that problem. Then there was case of a perfectly fine microwave did not WORK plugged in and everything. Then the problem with toilet as well which when flushed it receded to top as if an overflow. Called maintenance states nothing wrong but then ask if I wanted plunger and my answer was "No."

So then I proceeded to call Corporate and Customer Service. Stated had to take up with General Manager and really when her desk assistant was dumbfounded in who to contact. Then she gets her General Manager and when I say "ghetto" just because you acquire some skills does not mean you're qualified! General Manager states why didn't report problem and I did so she stated they're not marked down. OK I have keys still from room 207. Now problems escalated in room 229 so she started by asking my name but looking at profile but curious by my name and room that I'm in. Not only that General Manager states that I'm in discounted room and I have stayed 3 days. Not getting partial or complete refund at all due to those factors and true maybe I should have left.

But like situation now who would say I would have gotten money back because this General Manager became "argumentative" about situation and about problems and I stated NOT going to argue about this. I will call Corporate and Sanitation Department. And I mean real Sanitation Dept. not someone they pay to say said property is OK to pass and a TV news team as well and as well if customers take pictures and video this crap and they charge all this money for rooms look like "cutbacks" to me!

Send mystery customer to your business and really see how said property being ran. Not only that who running?!! But I took pictures and video on my phone!! Now where is SANITATION DEPARTMENT??? No renovation- need badly because I'm nice neighborhood goes to show everything look good. Not good for you! To General Manager and others just know even discounted still should have had A1 service.

Issue 1: I had booked the hotel online earlier that day then called immediately to confirm the booking, and told the woman answering the phone just one adult not two. She said that would drop the rate. She then gave me the recalc amount, and then I said to her I would be arriving at X time. I arrived when I said, and ran my card to find out denied, and so I had to dig why. The manager, who I have always dealt with, said rates change throughout the day. Ok. But the person checking me in insisted I was wrong, and I of course pushed back. Then I remembered I had the confirmation email and I had to show it to two different staffers, and only then did they override the charge to match what I had been told originally. Not sure where the problem here is, policies or faulty computers?

Issue 2: I just minutes ago asked the night auditor when morning coffee would be ready as I have to leave in less than 2 hours. He said 6, though I knew the previous night's auditor made coffee before 5 at a guest's request, but this guy hemmed and hawed why he won't til 6. I think if a guest requests a minor and it is just that, minor, break from policy just to put coffee on, why did he resist so much? I am very disappointed this time, but will continue to use this hotel. All the same.

The comforter also had multiple holes in it which I assumed were from cigarettes. Overall, the service/staff were good but the beds -- I wouldn't recommend staying there just because of them. Motel 6 Santa Barbara - Carpinteria North, Carpinteria - Disgusting isn't a bad enough word to describe how dirty and neglected this room was. I booked through Hotels.com. The room was supposed to have been $89. I checked in at 10:30 that night... no rooms left. I had paid for the room before heading up to 3rd floor. Empty Rum bottle under the 1st mattress. Wet plastic and garbage under the second mattress. Dead bugs on floor, Sheets stained and dirty... inner and outer. I asked for a refund or another room and was told there were no other rooms and the money I had paid was nonrefundable. No box springs under the very old mattresses. The empty plastic rum bottle had worn a pattern 24" wide and 18" across. I pity the couple that spent their time on that bed. LOL. Hair in the shower and drains and bathroom floor. The manager put on plastic gloves. These should be provided to all people that try to stay here as a safety precaution.

The room was to have been $89 through Hotels.com. The hotel charged me $149. I paid the amount before knowing the place was a dump! The manager said the money was nonrefundable because that is their policy. Stay away or be prepared to burn your clothes. A great place to send your annoying in laws as a goof gift. I would let me dog stay in that room again. There are no excuses for that level of dirt. The manager agreed. Again... my refund was $30... not the $149 I paid.

We have never stayed in a more dangerous and violent motel. Every other day there were police raids, the U.S. Marshals were there looking for people. The amount of criminal activity was something I have never seen in my entire life. Drugs being bought and sold, prostitution and you name it and it was going on there. I brought this to the manager's attention and it did not seem to bother or phase him as long as he was making money and would rent a room to anyone as long as they had money.

The best was one night and I am in a wheelchair, I was assaulted, beaten and robbed and I had to call the local police immediately and they came, filled out a full police report and left. The management there offered no help or assistance and did not offer any refunds at all and simply did not care. So, in turn I had to hire a private attorney and commence legal actions against them to get my full refund and other damages associated with the incident. Whatever you do and trust me on this, do not ever stay at the Motel 6 in Fayetteville NC as you will regret it for sure as they do not care about anything. Good luck to you all.

I have stayed at least 10 times at this Motel 6 10694 Olson Dr., Rancho Cordova, CA. Last night was around number 11. Let's see, that's around $1,000 dollars total. Now, that might not be much to them or whoever reads this, but it's a lot to me, the widow of a United States Army Veteran. That is about what I get every month as his widow. It was late and I went to the Motel 6 that I knew to be the usual and expected with an AARP room as before. It wasn't. I didn't know AARP and Motel 6 broke their "6 dollar love connection".

I am not an unreasonable person and was not asking for the Sun, Moon and Stars. No, I was not. Just to honor that 10% since I didn't know. The night old lady with the teenage hair, refused to acknowledge my long time customer status. I had to stay because it was late, so I had no choice. Then she tried to sell me wifi too. How many older customers is Motel 6 going to push out the door to Wyndham Rewards? I know! Me and 103! I am telling you, If word gets around, and it will, that Motel 6 does not care about almost 60 year old people, they will lose customers rapidly and gain rough people. That's why there are multiple security guards on site.

She put me next to the ice machine as an obnoxious loud noise (that repeated every 2 minutes), woke me up through the night. After only 5 hours of sleep, I talked to the front desk woman, who had no better words of customer satisfaction, but kept saying, "It's just the way it is" as she dismissed me roughly. Same thing happened with the 18 year old foreign voice at 1 800 557 3435 customer service. I just checked their website online and it looks like Motel 6 has been bought by Blackstone Group. By my experience last night, Motel 6 is no longer the Beacon of Light, but another trashy motel that don't regard older long time customers and probably not new ones either.

When we arrived the room was cold so I assumed because it was empty they had the heat off. So we turned it on and left for the store. When we got back we thought we had the air on instead of the heat but we didn't so we figured it was a trick to it. Let me back up a little. When we came back from the store they had the handicapped ramp blocked with ironing they were throwing out. Well my sister is in a wheeled chair so I had to clear the ramp to get her up the ramp. So we had to leave for a funeral. When we came we tried the heat again. Still it didn't work. We called the front desk and she told us we had to turn it off and turn it back on again and make sure it's on 71 degrees so we did.

Now we leave to try to find something to do. By the time we returned my 7 yr old granddaughter was asleep and my sister in the wheel chair was tired. I tried the heat again and called the front desk and told her the heat didn't work. She told me she could move me to the second floor. I walked past at least 3 empty rooms so now I was supposed to leave my granddaughter in a room by herself while I tried to get my sister to the second floor. I turned it down and thank goodness I brought a extra blanket for our 6 hour drive so we curled up and called it the night. There was no fridge like advertised, handicapped ramp was blocked with debris, no clock and no heat. I'm so glad we only needed it for one night.

Very happy when we checked in, area not the best but fine, clean room to start with. They do not however change sheets but every 3 days which I can handle. The 4th day we spent 12 hours with mom and came back to the motel bed was made, bathroom looked fine until I realized there were no clean hand towels and washcloths but the dirty ones were still there. Hmmm? Ok mistake no problem I can live with that. After all I have done housekeeping lots to do (if done right) Then shower and bed.

Well last night my fiance cut himself so there was a little blood on the sheet, well lo and behold the sheets were the same ones we have had since we got here. I went to the office on the 5th day and asked for clean sheets and towels, hand towels and washcloths. Please take dirty ones, no problem... 12 hours at moms back to Motel 6. Night took shower. No wash cloths or hand towels. Took the dirty ones though. Went to get into bed, blood stain same spot no clean sheets 5th night!!! I was mad.

Please if you decide to stay insist on bed changing and whatever else you need or want or need. I will be talking to the manager when she comes in at 6:00 am. I have stayed in Motel 6 motels all over North America. Normally, my stay in any one of them is fine. But I want to alert consumers about the motel that I just stayed at in Miles City, Montana. That sorry excuse for a business should not carry the Motel 6 brand name nor should it be in business at all. I came off a bus in the middle of a snowstorm and my room was already bought and paid for. But when I got to the motel, I discovered that the heat didn't work in that particular room. The spreads were terribly wrinkled on the beds and the glass in the mirror sported a large crack. So the "management" offered another room but when we opened the door we discovered that the room had not been cleaned. The heat worked but the room was a mess! So I had to sit in the corner, late at night and after a harrowing bus ride through a storm... and wait while the "management" performed her version of cleaning of bad service.

The room was not totally cleaned nor was it cleaned properly. But I was too tired to make an issue out of it, at that point. I was just exhausted. I tried to watch TV this morning but the TV was all messed up. But the REAL kicker was when I tried to take a shower and discovered that there is no hot water available. So guess who gets to walk out of here today without a shower? To the buyer beware: Don't rent a room here. This motel has absolutely no business carrying the Motel 6 brand name.

They refused to refund me from the start and I left in tears, receiving no compassion from the manager. They treated me like dirt.

There was 0 solutions offered, and the manager at the front desk literally said to me "no one can help you. Go to your room".

After losing my apartment to a house fire I booked an extended stay at this Motel 6 on Ogeechee Road in Savannah. After checking in for $293.00 for 6 days I discovered horrible conditions. Upon entering the room #323 I first noticed the boarded up window missing its glass. I then noticed the dirty floors and carpets, broken cabinet drawers, iced over mini refrigerator, soiled and dirty microwave and the ROACHES!!! I notified the manager of my disgust and he stated "There are no refunds" and I was stuck with that room.

The first evening I witnessed numerous acts of drug dealing right outside different rooms on the 3rd floor in the open, no effort to conceal this abhorrent behavior. Throughout many nights my door was often knocked on at all hours from prostitutes and dealers looking to see if I "needed" anything? Management cares nothing to rectify the problems at this facility. I notified the local police department to share my concerns about the prostitutes and drugs readily available and was told it is a "hotspot" for these shady practices... Never will I ever stay at a Motel 6 again, I would prefer to be homeless or sleep in my vehicle.

When I was younger I stayed many weekends in Motel 6's with my dad. I can remember how cheap it was because I stayed for free and the rooms were always really nice and most had pools so for a young kid that was pretty exciting. Now that I'm older and have kids I was in need of a place to stay for a month while looking for a place to rent in Roseburg Oregon. I decided to stay at Motel 6. I soon realized that I wasn't a little kid any longer because the rooms were not cheap and there wasn't a pool for my kids to enjoy, not to mention nobody could stand a chance to sleep in cause the employees who worked there were so loud, it felt like our room was where all the cool kids came to hang out lol, there was constantly people talking loud and banging the clean up carts into the walls, dogs barking, etc, etc.

I couldn't believe it, I was paying on average 65.00-70.00 a night and couldn't even sleep past 8:00 am. The employees were always sticking their noses in our business and it made it a very uncomfortable stay for me and my wife. Honestly I don't ever remember staying in a Motel 6 and not leaving there happy and wishing I could stay one more night. I'm sad to report that from now on, don't bother to leave the lights on for me because I will be staying at Howard Johnson's for about 5-8.00 less a night and I'll be swimming with my kiddos.

Rented a room for a week and the first night I am getting settled in and see a bedbug. I immediately contact the office and am told that they can't move me or refund me for the night. I packed my bags and am thinking about taking legal action. They were so nonchalant.

My room was burglarized and police were called. There was no forced entry. A week has gone by and the manager/owner has yet to turn over surveillance footage and the key card data. Management has reviewed the video and are aware a master key was used. I have not had any contact with management. 1 staff member has been excellent, she did apologize. I feel this motel should have turned over this vital information to police immediately. In my opinion they are acting shady. This motel should have taken this situation more seriously. I'm so upset and feel violated by this thief and this motel. I feel this motel has not treated me with respect.

I always book a room here. This time was by far the worst. I started off in Room 220. Used the restroom, flushed the toilet and water started coming from nowhere. But before that there was roaches on the floor that were moving so I went to the front desk and asked for my room to be changed and it was changed to Room 218. That room was fine until I seen something really red and small crawling on my pillow not once but twice. Got up, pulled the cover back and their was a damn bedbug crawling in the bed. I went to the front desk and said I was upset. I had my proof.

The lady that was at the front desk said all she can do is change my room for right now. I paid for a king size bed then I was transferred to a double bedroom. I was told I couldn't get a refund until the exterminator checked the room out. Then I said "since you can't refund me can you comp me another night's stay." I was given the same answer. I'm so upset. Will not be booking rooms here anymore.

I checked in after a hospital stay and was quite upset. The desk clerk was completely professional, courteous and genuinely friendly. He was a gem! From the cleaning crew, housekeeping, grounds, all were wonderful. This is an active area, staff is hoping, all with smiles. I am enjoying my stay very much. My original booking thru Hotels.com then I extended my stay through the Motel 6.

I like Motel 6 reliability and consistent cleanliness. I stayed at Motel 6's when visiting family as I traveled up and down I-5. You don't have to haggle with the front desk over prices. I hate that every person gets a different price like a used car lot at so many other motels. There is a sense of honesty, and cleanliness. The slightest thing not right and so quickly they make things right. Like when German fixed my heater in minutes and it's been cold. Thank you Motel 6.
