I had the misfortune of having to stay at this chain of motel 6, for a month in July of 2022. My best friend is ARMY vet. And while at first it seemed like an ideal place to say until we could get into our apartment it was the worst experience of our lives. Motel6 at 3228 N Chestnut St Colorado Springs Colorado United States80907, is not a place I would send someone I hated to. The room smelled like cat pee and mildew. The floor was sticky and there was blood on the walls. To get a room with the microwave and fridge was an up charge of 20 dollars. The bathroom was a tiny closet thing with shower the size of a school locker. With a trip to the store I washed the blood off the walls and mopped the floor again until it stopped sticking as we did not have another choice but to stay there. I stripped the beds and found a used needle and something I can't put words to. I wore gloves and tossed them.
After finding the needle I went back to the store and bought two tarps and we placed those on the beds and sleep on top of them. I say sleep but that is a joke. It was too loud to sleep with the fights and the door slamming and the cops being called. Glass covered the parking lot and the staff didn't seem to care when it was brought to their attention. I spent 700 a week for 3 weeks at this chain and then we went to the other Motel 6 by Crackle barrel, I will get to them next. I asked for a refund for my 3 weeks of hell and was told no, the manager at the time yelled at me for asking him to explain why I had clean the room when it was a biohazard. I was very nice about it and didn't yell back or fight with him. I left. A friend of mine was in town and asked where to stay and I said anywhere but Motel 6. In a month's time I spent 2200 at two of the same chain properties and I had awful experience with both. Pay more stay at a better place.

Advertising bathtub in disabled rooms when there is not a bathtub on the whole property. Take pictures before you leave in order not to be charged additional cleaning charges up to 150 which they will even if left clean. Extremely low water pressure and water will stand on the flooring after you shower. Also have to get down on floor and flip reset button several times in order for heater to work. I turned back the blanket and bedspread because they were just awful. When I called several times to discuss the extra charges they never answered the phone and they finally did answer my phone call was 1 minute 12s because Jeff the manager hung up on me. He told me my dog urinated on the sheet (plastic covered mattress) but my dog would rather die than relieve herself indoors, plus I walked her twice. If you want to pay double and not get the room with a bathtub you reserved stay here. Remember to take pictures!

Spent last night in Troutdale OR at Motel 6. Needed to arrive at PDX early for a friend's boarding. We were assigned a room "around back"... the first thing I noticed was a railroad about 100 feet from the door. No trains were active until about 7 PM but they ran heavily from then until about 2 AM. Many trains and some sounded huge, though I didn't get up to see.
The shower head is mounted much higher than normal and difficult to reach up ad adjust for a small-height person. Bad design. Sink hot water was just barely above body temp. The shower floor was not slip resistant, and in fact was so slippery I used the floor towel to keep from falling. The TV choices were terrible. But the WiFi performed well. Bed was comfortable, but there was no blanket - just a heavy sheet, and the air system ran constantly providing noise and cool air so I did not sleep warmly. In fact I really didn't sleep more than an hour all night. Overall, I was surprised at all the items mentioned, for such a popular company. I'll shop better for my next hotel/motel.

To start, I’ve spent a career traveling and staying at various motels/hotels in the US and overseas. I’ve had good experiences and not so good ones. Now that I’m retired, traveled to Pennsylvania to spend time with a relative other the weekend. We decided to stay at a Motel 6 being I considered it a good value for the money. After an all day drive, checked in at the Motel 6 in Warminster, PA, on November 4. The first room assigned was 220. Walked into the room and it had an extreme long term cigarette smell and a very strong perfume smell. We could not even breathe in the room so we walked out and requested another room. New room was 218. This room was not so smelly so we decided to stay. This was our first mistake.
Went to bed and during the night we heard a dog barking and now a must stronger smell of cigarettes throughout the night. At around 5:00 AM, the dog (across the hallway) started to bark again and would not stop. The frig and AC were noisy and with the dog barking, we had very little sleep. Room condition - In the morning we noticed mold in the bathroom and the room had many bad plaster patches along with war torn furniture. The sheets were questionable with black spots on them and the room was just plain dirty. Checked out at the front desk in the morning and told the person at the desk about the dog and room smell. They were apparently were aware of the problems and said nothing else.
After a return nine hour drive we noticed our clothes and hair smelled like cigarettes and bad perfume. The room charge was $127.64. Later Checked the WEB site and noted the room charge listed was $74.00. Bottom line, a very bad experience for this traveler at this location in Warminster PA. We will not stay at a Motel 6 in the future and will not recommend this motel to family and friends. Apparently standards for Motel 6 are very low.

I have been coming to Motel 6 for a couple of years now and I have never seen it look so clean, the new manager has made several improvements. The new look of the rooms are great, and the property itself looks so clean now. The friendliness of the staff is always welcome. Kudos to everyone who works there.

I checked out a day early and was told my cc would be credited for that day. Over two months later, it still has not been. When I first contacted Motel 6, they said the Expedia Virtual Card on file had been credited. "Our records show that you were issued a refund of $77.61 to the Expedia Virtual Card on file. Please reach out to them by calling them at *******783." I did not use Expedia for my booking.
When I brought that to their attention, I was told, "Our records show that you were issued a full refund to the Booking.com Virtual Card on file. Please reach out to them by calling them at *******958." (Except for those sentences, the messages were boilerplate, verbatim.) I did not use Booking.com, either. Motel 6 is lying. They are engaging in fraud. WHY!
Besides that, there is overt prostitution going on, there. My room was never cleaned nor was I given fresh towels. The parking lot is filthy and looks like it has been carpet bombed. The door to my room didn't seal, letting in bugs and the hot night air. The bathroom door was damaged, the furniture was damaged. It looked like a seedy hotel in some old movie. Totally disgusting.

My experience has been excellent however I experience a horrible experience with customer service skills. I referred many friends to Motel 6 located in Branford CT East Main St however when I arrived with a friend one of the front staff members had to be in a bad mood which is unacceptable when you're in customer service department. She yelled to my husband and a very good friend of ours as we recommended motel 6 highly. But when he was yelled at for no reason at all he decided to go across the street to Holiday Inn hotel, that’s not very good for business. All in all motel 6 branford has stepped up remarkably with cleaning. Rooms tidying and properly stocked with towels.

But the Unprofessionalism and lies this company said about me to my complaint at BBB keeps me fighting for you the customer. Checked in early but never went to room. We went out to return at around 12am to find huge nasty stain on bed. After further inspection I found hair, dirt and bed bugs. Called front desk and told me he couldn't leave office. Told wife we are leaving and went to return key and get our money back. He told me to call back tomorrow for manager. She lied and said she couldn't return money because we stayed full night. Trust me. I wouldn't have stayed! Contacted BBB and they are trying to help me but said they received letter and in it was complete lies about me. This is personal now but more importantly it's for you. DO NOT GO!

I called customer service and reported it and found out that funds were not to be taken until arrival. This is theft. Now I have to wait 5 business days for a refund; it take them 5 days to take my money before arriving.

Have to jiggle toilet to stop it from running. Nails visible on bathroom door. No hangers. Panel under sink coming loose. No stopper for sink. Stains on sheets. Lobby reeks of curry. The few positive aspects of my stay - the bed was very comfortable, and the TV worked and had a multitude of channels available. The AC worked.

I have stayed, even resided, a short term at this hotel over the years. The last time was pre pandemic. Hollywood was in poor shape and more dangerous. However, the hotel manager, VIVIAN, was a true Boss. She and her staff handled unruliness, craziness, rudeness, or anything potentially difficult with ease and class and resolve. ALL of her amazing staff always took care of us. As a mother, I did not worry ever about our safety. There was an unfortunate incident at the time which a guest had a firearm. At the time, we had the rooms next to him. Vivian and her staff were quick and discreet at moving myself and my 3 kids and our wolf out of our rooms while the police were being phoned.
5 years later, in 2023 , the hotel has become immaculate, freshly painted, color scheme much nicer, rooms have new furniture and lights.
The carpets are shampooed every few days and the best thing? THE STAFF IS THE SAME AMAZING CREW AS BEFORE. VIVIAN IS STILL RUNNING THE HOUSE AND IS SWEETER THAN EVER. It is obvious money was invested and there is care for the hotel and for each other. HOWEVER Gone are lines of difficult situations and people in the morning. There are no dogs barking all day because a bad owner left them all day. Pets are allowed and treated so nicely here, but the policy is now as it should be: No furry family member left alone unattended! Bravo to the hotel! Now, this is a motel, and this is Hollywood. I am not glossing over what Hollywood is it's dirt and diamonds.
Everyone here is from somewhere else. There are all types of souls out there on the Boulevard. However, this street, through combined efforts of the businesses, buildings, police and Hollywood city offices itself, are working together on its beautification. There are a myriad of attendants cleaning, working security, and ambassadors to keep things cleaner, easier, and more fun to walk around. This hotel does not have people loitering or soliciting or homeless chilling in front. People are always walking, and the hotel is always full. The staff and a paid rotating security officer are always around. The lobby has a room of vending and a microwave as well as coffee from 6 am to 10 am every day.
Housekeeping is every 3 days and takes half an hour. They are quick, sanitary, and accommodating. Here you need only ask. The room is not stupidly overstocked, but the hotel has everything. The flow of clean items is non stop as well as any toiletries you need. Utensils and other things are also available, but this hotel is literally surrounded by markets, food, bars, and dollar shops. CVS and Target are around the corner. Everyone delivers. The hotel staff know all about the area. The price of the hotel is such a bargain. The cleanliness and ease of the hotel and rooms are 5 stars. Staff rates 10 stars if possible! There is parking and a dual washer dryer combo in a room off the lobby.
This is Motel 6, but as with any sleepover establishment, you get what you give. No matter if Motel 6 or the Hilton or the Bel Air hotel, all staff should be treated with warmth and respect. They work while you sleep in comfort and safety. *Motel 6 should grant a higher budget for better wifi for its high volume branches like this one.* Don't forget etiquette, eave a gratuity!

I found toenail clippings in the sink, bottom of bathtub looked like something died there, pubic hairs in the bath towels, hairballs in the bed, blood stains in the sheets, heater spit out dust everywhere. There was no toilet paper in the room. No shampoo. Room smelled like **. The list goes on. $120 was ridiculous for this room. Just horrible. Since the hotel was sold out I couldn’t change rooms. Motel 6 should be embarrassed to put their name on this property.

I made my reservation online for $104.38. This rate was not explained clearly on the Motel 6 site. The room rate was $62.99 which is all I have paid in the past. So I don't know what Motel 6 was doing in the past but that is a pretty steep increase. The issues I have with Motel 6 are the Paint was peeling off of the entry door. There were no stoppers in the bath tub or the sink. It's the middle of winter and a hot bath would be nice. There appeared to be mold on the bathroom ceiling. The phone didn't work. I was told that they did not have any rooms downstairs but the motel was obviously not full based on the parking lot, and you can't tell me that they didn't have a room downstairs. There was no longer a table in the room and only one chair. My husband was with me and he had to sit on the bed to eat. Daniel, the front desk clerk, was very friendly and polite.

Last night, October 8th, this Motel 6 resold our room, which was PAID IN FULL. They said it was because we'd not checked in by 6pm, despite the fact that we had notified them upon reservation that we wouldn't be checking in until 11 pm and they confirmed that notification. They were already charging a higher-than normal rate for the room ($300 a night for Motel 6?) because there was a major music festival (Aftershock) going on in Sacramento and they knew they could get that price. (Isn't this price gouging? And yet it happens all the time.)
There were no other rooms available, even if we'd been able to afford to pay for another room anywhere else. My partner, who was there for the music festival, slept OUTSIDE in a tshirt and shorts. He didn't have a car to sleep in or to drive anywhere else in. And THEY TOOK OUR MONEY ANYWAY. Essentially, they made more than double the regular price on that room while forcing a 56 YEAR OLD man to sleep on the streets.

I've been staying at this Motel 6 in Turlock CA for some 10 months or so. First let me say that the room I stay in is not completely finished or remodeled. There are 2 to 3 inch gaps along the lining of the walls where trim should be. Only there is no trim only open and exposed wall where roaches have a field day scurrying and laying eggs between rooms. There are holes in the walls where fixtures used to be but are no longer. Random patches of unpainted pieces scattered throughout the room and bathroom. The vents in air ducts look like a very shagged out rug from the 80s only its dust and dirt and God knows what else about 3 inches thick. The vents in ac were almost as bad. There was blood splatter on the walls from lord only knows. The bathroom had used needles left behind from previous guests. I had to bleach the room before I could let my partner and animals in the room.
One day the owner asked me if I would help Clean rooms because he only had one housekeeper so I agreed. Lo and behold he only paid $6 per room and the rooms were rather disgusting. During my stay I witnessed the owner go rather rogue on guests yelling at them and screaming profanities, allowing himself entry into their rooms without their consent and literally throwing out their belongings. I was shocked and embarrassed for the people I seen him do this to. Wait...it gets better. Then lo and behold, it was my turn. He without hesitation did the same to me. He has been trying to illegally force me out over a noise dispute that occurred around 9am in the morning. Since then he has illegally been locking me out since September 1, 2022 till present and as of September 28, 2022 he has since cut power to my room. So I have zero power, no lights electric, TV and air.
All of his actions are completely and totally in violation of California law and he is without a care or remorse about it. How inhumane and careless his actions are astonish me not as a victim of his abuse and harassment but more so in a way that he is a business owner. He is out of control and has no regard for the law or respect for other human beings. His shady business practices need to be investigate and stopped immediately. I am not the first guest he has done this to and I am more than certain I won't be the last. What chain of command do I have to bark up to be heard and helped to keep him from his unfair and illegal practices?

The Fairgrounds West Motel 6 in Oklahoma City needs to be closed, totally renovated and perhaps even re-staffed. It has 'good bones'. All of the amenities you want in an inexpensive motel are there: shower/tub, sink, beds, TV, table & chairs, pool, breakfast area in the office, etc. However, the breakfast area was closed, and they no longer offered breakfast. The table was rickety with an almost broken table leg. It could barely hold light items. The chairs had stained cushions, so we threw the quilts (which seemed somewhat cleaner) over them. I can't say much about the pool because it was too rainy and cool out to use it. It didn't look as sparkling clean as it does in the website pictures though.
Moreover, the bedsheets, quilts, towels and carpet were worn out, had holes and stains and one of the queen beds even had dog hair all over the sheets under the quilt. There were cockroaches crawling all over the place at night. The carpet was worn out and felt greasy. You didn't even want to walk on it barefoot. You'd walk across it, then sit down, wipe your feet and they'd have a brown film all over them. We'd wipe our feet off with Handi Wipes before we put them on the bed, or put our shoes on, it was so bad.
The bathroom looked like someone had put their dog in there then left it in there while they went out. Meanwhile, the dog had tried to claw the door open. The door and door frame were in splinters. We told the front desk about it and while we were out during the day (we stayed two nights), their solution was to spray paint the splinters white. They didn't spray for the roaches we told them about either because they were still going strong the next night. I got bug spray from a dollar store and did it myself. We also asked for different sheets, but they couldn't be bothered to bring them to our room. We had to walk to the office to get them.
Speaking of the office, when we got there the first night it was late (after midnight) because of delayed flights. The front door was locked, and no one responded to us pressing the button nor to calling them on the phone. We were just about to give up and go to another hotel when a car pulled up and the night manager got out and let us in. I wish now that we had given up sooner because it was not a pleasant experience staying there.
The only positives I can give them are that the plumbing and electrical stuff seemed to work okay, the air conditioner worked and wasn't very loud and the door did latch shut. The mattresses were firmer than we'd like and felt springy, but at least they weren't butt-sprung or creaky. Mattress pads would be nice. Other than that, everything else needs replaced and/or cleaned thoroughly.

Well after a four-week stay at this property, I must say it was a rollercoaster ride of an experience. The first two weeks were fantastic. Staff and manager professional and respectful at all times. Week three, however, yielded a Dr Jeckle / Mr Hyde type shift in staff and management’s professionalism and treatment of guests.
First, week three, and the headboard I was told the night I checked in would be fixed “in a day or two” was still propped again the wall in the room I was assigned to. Suffice it to say, maintenance of this property is not high on the manager’s list of things to do at this property. I’m not certain which is more concerning to me, the headboard propped against the wall, the endless running of the toilet (reported three times during my stay), or the constant dripping of bathtub and sink faucets. As I said, maintenance is not a priority at this property. Getting fresh towels was a challenge daily. Frequently during my stay, I would have to ask multiple times during the day to get fresh towels. My requests were met with smart Alec responses such as, “do you wash your towels every day at home?” “Are you so filthy you have to get new towels and face cloths everyday man?”
Another concern was the infrequency of bedding changes. In the three weeks I was at this motel, the only time the bedding was changed was when I changed it myself. When this event occurred, I asked an individual from housekeeping to provide me with a set of clean sheets as I had spilled soda on the bed. I was told I needed to “surrender” the dirty bedding in order to get clean linen. I surrendered the soiled sheets and bedspread as required. I did not receive replacement sheets or bedspread.
Instead, I was informed that I would need to wait for the laundry to be completed and ask for sheets. I asked multiple times over the next two days without success in securing replacement sheets. Finally, at 3:50 AM on the third day, I asked the manager, who was working the overnight shift at the desk, for sheets. I was informed she did not have clean sheets to give me, but that she would leave a message for housekeeping to locate sheets when the shift began in the morning.
Housekeeping overall is dismal at this property. That is a gross understatement quite frankly. In three weeks as a paying guest at this hotel, my room was not once touched by housekeeping. Not one single time. I emptied my own trash daily. I vacuumed my own room each day after securing the vacuum from a member of the housekeeping team. I wiped the surfaces in the room down with cleaner/disinfectant I purchased myself when I was informed on the third day of my stay that disinfecting or sanitizing supplies were not available. When I mentioned Covid and influenza transmission, I was curtly told that I was free to voice my concern about Covid to the public health office.
The security doors located at the exits of the hotel were not secured at 10:00 PM any night that I was a paying guest at the hotel. Per posted signage at the property, all doors were to be secured at 10:00 PM for the safety of guests of the hotel. Simply did not happen a single night I was at the hotel. I voiced concern about this to two individuals working the front desk.
My concern was outright dismissed by one desk agent and snickered about by the other. I suggested removing the signage if the promised action posted was mere “lip service” to comply with some law or ordinance. This voiced concern, I believe, comes into play a couple of days after I raised it - more in a bit about this. On two separate occasions, an individual unknown to me was in my room. The initial incident was my first morning at the hotel. I was awakened by a female clad in only a towel over her genital area. I was startled by this as I know I shut the room door securely when I went to bed.

Dirty place!!! Sheets (really the whole bed) smelled like someone had poured 2-cycle engine oil and gas all over them. The door didn't shut properly so of course, I couldn't sleep. People ran up and down the upstairs balcony sounding as if they were coming through the floor all night. Then the main manager informed us this morning that they don't offer breakfast as it's 'NOT a restaurant.' If we had known all of this beforehand we would have added another $20 and got a 3 or 4 star hotel.

Stay the hell away from this chain, it used to be a nice place to stay, clean rooms, fair prices and good customer service...it now appears as if the company sold its name to any cheap hourly motel willing to pay their franchise fee. Absolutely the worst staying experience of my life!
Dirty room with even dirtier bedding, sheets and pillow cases obviously hadn't been changed, sink with warm water only and that barely came out (no hot or cold), tub I wouldn't dare step into, toilet seat not secured to toilet allowing you to almost fall in, TV lineup card but very, very few of the channels listed, TV also stuck on Closed Caption, dirty floors, old and damaged furniture, old towels so thin you could see through them, room paint job looked as if Ray Charles did it, pool filled with concrete and used as a storage area for mattresses and old chairs...on top of all that, they refused to honor military or senior discount. It is very clear they are only in it for a quick buck and could care less about building and maintaining a long-term customer base. They can leave the light on all they want, I will never stop there again!

Tell Tom a sad story. Okay on April 28 approximately 6 pm. Sarah, my female fantastic friend, used her cell phone through Booking.com secured a handicap ready room at the Motel6 addressed 1800 N.E. 7th st Grants pass Oregon. Within 15 minutes we arrived on site to check in. Immediately she realized an error was made and the reservation made was for April 29th. At this time a cancellation was entered timed at 633. I Mitchell rented another room with my debit card.
Before checking out Sarah followed up on our cancellation/refund of 90 some dollars. Booking.com sent this motel an E-mail requesting a sign off for our refund. So Sarah called the office informing of the E-mail, and requesting the sign off reply to booking, she was told sure. Within a minute she was notified by booking, motel 6 signed but declined the refund. So I walked in the office explaining our situation. The manager, Michelle ** informed me motel 6 policy clearly states 24 hours notice required for cancellation. I reiterated the mistake that was attempted to be corrected immediately. Michelle ** stated, "No sir the cancellation wasn't put in until 10 pm. No refund."
I returned to the room and Sarah said "see, cancellation requested 6:32 pm on 4/28." So I proceeded to the office, showed mgr ** the time of the cancellation at 6:33 on Thursday 4/28. She stated I have no way of seeing this information. I asked again for my refund informing mgr. ** I am disabled on social security, my friend mobility depends on a prosthetic leg and social security, we cannot afford this on our meagar income. Mgr. ** said, "Sir policy is no refund." Angerly I informed her there is not a possibility of the 24 hour notice due to less than at initial renting this is not possible to do. Mgr ** very nastily stated, "Yes sir you are right. It is not possible to notify satisfying motel 6 policy, you should have read this before you rented and decided not to rent." I states you are going to keep our money really, mgr ** again informed me no refund. I was furious!
I stated to mgr **, "My son has a large social media following. If you're proceeding keeping my money motel 6 will get blasted all over the internet." She even nastier told me, "Are you, that is a threat, are you threatening me?" Immediately I said no threat, that's a promise. Mgr. ** stated, "that is a threat, leave the property". Replying "yes name". I walked away. So we sit not refunded. Treated unneighborly at Tom's. We'll keep a light on, maintaining policy enabling them to refuse refund on a simple booking mistake from disabled people immediately correcting a simple booking error to forfeit moneys they can't spare.
This is just wrong. This wasn't a waste of their time needing punishment. This was an overlooking accident by disabled getting older folks trying to find a light on, only finding robbers taking and keeping moneys with a policy impossible to satisfy. Please if you are AARP aged, avoid, Toms light it's only sucker trap and you cannot win.

My experience with this motel absolutely shocked me and has changed my view of Motel 6 totally & probably forever. It happened when I stayed there in Big Bear City, California on December 24, 2021. Admittedly a busy time of the year and a ski resort with many roads closed because of snow, but not an excuse for what they did. All motels in town that were reasonably priced ($60 to $150) were full. Only really nice ones that wanted $500+/night had any rooms, so I was surprised this place had any rooms at all, but I soon realized why. Imagine my shock when I was charged over $400/night. You must be kidding! $400+ for a Motel 6? A total OUTRAGEOUS RIP-OFF! So why did I pay it? Because in this instance I had to, because by that time everyone was full except them, many of the roads were closed and I wasn’t sure I could make it to the next town.
I have almost never paid that much for a hotel room, but when I did, it was pretty damn nice, and I don’t think I have ever paid more than $100 or so for a Motel 6. To top it off, they were an older property and NOT in good repair. I noticed and was not surprised when I saw possibly more than half of their rooms vacant that night. Of course, they were, probably because many people said “No Way”, and just took their chances to leave town. I wish I would have had that option. Had they been more reasonably priced, I have no doubt they would have been almost full and probably made more money also.
There is no doubt in my mind that they GOUGED me, along with everyone else who stayed with them that night, and I will never forget that they were even WILLING to do that. I don’t want to hear anything like “What-ever the market will bear”, because that has its limits, and it is an UNCONSCIONABLE way to do business. You offer a reasonable product at a reasonable price and a reasonable profit, and it should end there. Anything more than that is gouging, plain & simply. Taking advantage of high demand in order to charge a ridicules price for maybe even a bad product. LegalDictionary.net defines and describes Price Gouging as .... “It is this taking advantage of a bad situation, raising prices for much-needed supplies or services to an unfair, or even unethical level, that is considered price gouging….PRICE GOUGING IS AGAINST THE LAW, though the laws vary by state”.
No doubt in my mind that this is exactly what they did, and didn’t even feel bad about it because the annoyance and my anger did not end there. There were also no amenities in the room (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, plastic cups, Kleenex, water, coffee or tea, etc.), as well as just one small bar of soap for a room designed for up to 4 people. I went down to the front desk, asked for at least 1 more soap, which she gave me, and then complained that they couldn’t even put a bottle of drinking water in the room. I was floored and pissed with her response. She had the audacity to say, “We don’t normally provide things like that so that it helps us keep our prices low”. WHAT....REALLY?
I had to bite my tongue to keep from jumping down her throat at such a lame excuse as that, and I felt insulted that she figured I might actually be stupid or naïve enough to believe and accept that explanation. She compounded her ** by telling me that was their normal prices, which was of course a bold-face lie. So, as well as being crooks, she was a lying sack of **.
For many years I frequented Motel 6 and was reasonably happy with the company. I looked for the newer motels, if possible, which are a better value for what you get, because many older ones are not kept up and can be pretty bad. I have even defended the company from nasty remarks by many people of how bad they are by sharing experiences probably with those older properties, describing them as filthy, rude, ugly and even coining pet names for them, such as “Roach Motel”. I told them to try the newer and better maintained ones if possible before judging them. NO MORE!!! I will now look for another motel chain to patronize and I will no longer recommend or defend Motel 6 to anyone and will tell everyone I can about their gouging practices. They will never see me again.

I then went and paid cash for two more nights at the same price. This morning I wanted to pay for two more nights and was charged $90 for one night. Now, I understand that the original price was probably a discount for booking online but to raise it that much is ridiculous.
For $90 I could get a room at a much nicer place that would at least have a microwave and fridge. I have stayed at a couple of Motel 6s in the Columbus area and NONE of their prices are $90 a night. In fact, the most I see are at about $65 a night at other Motel 6 locations in my area. If you're looking to stay at a Motel 6 in the Columbus, Oh area don't choose this one. Blood, Bugs, Boogers, Spit, trash PLUS MORE! In a world of Air BnBs it's absolutely no wonder that people are switching to alternative housing for their places to stay while traveling. We walked into what could be described as a poorly cleaned up CSI crime scene in room 337, complete with blood, spit and boogers on the walls, dead bugs, alive bugs and a sticky substance on the night stand. Trash underneath the bed, a randomly placed highlighter pen on the bathroom floor and a non-draining sink in the bathroom. One of the rules that was very specific when we checked in was that there was zero smoking in our room but yet, the whole hotel smelled of ** and cigarettes, which was clearly covered up by a tropical perfume scent.
While I agree that I chose this room to save some money, the reviews were decent and the price was cheap, but never would I expect blood and boogers and spit. Some small dead flies, sure. 40-50 dead small flies, could have possibly lived with for the price. Everyone that we passed in the hallway and outside the building was high. Again, no problem with that but a slight turn off for me because I have a six year old. The front desk ladies were cool about it for the most part. The one who gave us the refund was pretty cool about it and I made sure to be a nice client of theirs when I came to her and let her know we weren't staying and that we wanted to refund. She had no problem giving me a refund and I did mention that I could show her the pictures of the blood and other substances but she said that she didn't need to see any of that and that they would take care of that. I still won't stay at another Motel 6 ever again.

The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because of one individual here by the name of Marsha. I've been staying at this Motel6 since March 1st. I've gotten acquainted with most of the staff since I've been here and some look forward to saying hi to my dog Leo. Sonia the general manager has been the definition of a leader and hard worker who serves by being the example to those around her. Her staff hold her in high regard due to always being on top of things and doing everything in her power to make one's experience pleasant.
The building itself is pretty old and it's in need of a heavy restoration but maintenance do everything in their power to be on top of things when it comes to maintaining the property. Ever since the pool opened again best believe that is always clean and ready for one to enjoy it. When it comes to individuals checking in you can expect to come across sketchy people but the staff nor the location have no control over that but they do have security between 8pm to 6am and they enforce the rules and stay on top of difficult guests. When there have been incidents, they're quick to resolve them and have Dania Beach police station less than 2 mins away who always handle the situation when need be.
People need to understand that this location facilitates guest with pets and their laundry staff work really hard like Ericka who has gone above and beyond for me making sure my sheets and sheets overall are up to standards. The cleaning crew here always make sure that my mom and my dog Leo are comfortable which makes me appreciate the staff here that much more except Marsha who must have a book of complaints but yet she is still employed as a front desk staff member. She belongs back in being in charge of the cleaning crew because as a front desk agent she lacks the common sense and who feels she's part of management when management is not around.
Overall my experience till today has been great but thanks to Marsha I'm deciding to leave because I now feel Marsha has made things personal. Individuals like her DO NOT BELONG at the front desk. Individuals like her need to be kept in the back away from guests because she is great at tarnishing people's experience here and the rest of the staff. One more thing, everybody including the people who work here TOLERATE her but nobody likes her. When you come to the front desk to check in ask for the person's name and if it's Marsha, talk to management because she will make you want to go to another location because that's how difficult and ignorant she is.
I've spent over $13,000 since March 1st, I dont expect any sort of special treatment but I do expect to interact with individuals who know their role and position, not individuals like Marsha who lives in her own world and plays victim and is rude when one is trying to talk and tell her thats she's completely out of place and in the way she interacts with guests.

The internet seems to cut out every 10 minutes or so, leaving me unable to logout of accounts that I have logged into sporadically. All I wanted to do was check my Emails, and after logging in, and checking a few of them, the wifi apparently cut me off for some reason, and I could not logout. As such, I ended up having to close the browser while still logged in, and so called the front desk to hear something to the effect of 'Sorry, but I do not know anything about the WiFi', and being told that she will ask the manager about this for me. It was a smoking room (I'm not a smoker) and she went to the trouble of doing an extra bit of wiping, spraying, cleaning to try to remove the lingering smoke odor, and did so with some success!
She was also very supportive: I had driven to Klamath from Ashland looking for my son, who had been riding a motorcycle from Salt Lake and was overdue. I thought maybe he'd broken down or run out of gas on the hill between Klamath and Ashland where there is no cell service. She listened to my worries and helped me to relax a little. I had made my reservation before I left home or I probably would Not have stayed there. I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. The lady who checked me in was very sweet and helpful. I went to my room (this is during the COVID Virus). I always travel with a large can of Lysol. I got the lysol out of the car and began to wipe down everything that I thought I might touch- to my surprise, I did not end up with a brown cleaning rag. They had linoleum on the floor (the place I tested there was also clean).
The room was dated, the bathroom was dated. Having said that, It had a microwave, it had a small refrigerator, it had a table, it had wi-fi, it was quiet, I slept well. I ended up booking 2 more nights- I called the front desk and the motel booked them at the same rate I got online. If you are looking for a fancy room with all the frills - you will be disappointed- if you only looking for a clean room and a good night's sleep you will be satisfied. The reason for 4 stars and not 5- the remote control had really old batteries and it was hard to get it to change channels and the towels were very thin. Staying longer than 1 or 2 nights could be a disaster, especially if you are a considerate person expecting same and don't drink or use drugs. The folks who merit stars Jill, desk, Josh the maintenance fellow, and the entire cleaning staff. If you only encounter these folks during your stay, you will have no trouble- so nice, all love animals.
I am a local home owner who needed major plumbing repair and flood damage restoration. I couldn't stay with friends or family due to COVID-19. The fortunes I spent on my stay, my lack of alcohol and drug abuse, and advanced age made me an ideal guest. The management, clearly was fine with meth users all over the building; but took an immediate unjustified dislike towards me, without any legitimate reason.
The ugly attitude, lack of civility, and grandiose illusions of power, of mgt. (Don't remember her name; she is heavy set with very long hair and a sour expression making a potentially attractive woman ugly) is a clue that my ** Lives Matter Face Cover was part of it. Can't say for sure. Definitely these incompetents didn't appreciate my legitimate complaints, confirmed by guest services, front desk refused to do anything about, and randomly made up rules to justify inaction. My legitimate complaints, to guest service, for desk staff inaction 1) on smoking outside my window (CA Law is 20 feet from building) 2) general manager taking off her mask to deliberately shout at me 3) inaction on people invading my space without masks; when I did his job, and told them to put masks on one of them spat on me.
The final blow was a staff person attempting to enter my $179 a day room without knocking or announcement or explanation; I had the audacity to call the front desk; the twenty-something guy, Eric, at desk said staff person could enter my room whether I was there or not; guest services denied that this is their policy. These particular desk staff persons (Heather, Eric) and manager mentioned above retaliated to my audacity to legitimate complaints against them by telling falsehoods to guest services about me. One of those many lies was that I had "unauthorized pets". My bunny, is one not a pet but a Service animal, second arranged with my reservation, and in my arms when I checked in.
These few dishonest and sadistic staff, including mgt, made several days a living hell; I actually feared for my safety. They threatened me and I was unable to get protection from customer service 800 #. I broke no laws, as confirmed by guest services, and they threatened to send sheriff (who probably would have laughed at them). The nightmare does not end there; out of concern for my safety my friend & her husband came to pick me with two price gouged PAID days left. Fortunately, my house was ready earlier than expected. Had the manager, mention above, with grandiose illusions of power, left us alone as we loaded the car with my belongings, Motel 6 would have had $400 of mine free and clear. She came to the door of the room and disrupted my escape to tell me I would be refunded and that I could not come back; she repeated this 10 times, even though both parts of that statement were a lie.
She has a whole lot of nerve thinking that despite the fact I was leaving, that i would consider going back. Does she believe I enjoyed it when she shouted at me? Perhaps the meth heads and second smoke would be something I can't live without and preferable to my beautiful, paid in full, home? I don't suffer Stockholm syndrome. I will fully forgive said mgt in a few days; anyone this mean has a joyless life and no friends. The staff reflects, at this motel 6, the culture of Joshua tree extremes: baffling incredibly nice you feel like you have walked into utopia Or so mean, dishonest, and vindictive you believe you are trapped in hell. An emergency (my home flooding sewage and the high price tag) causing a high level of stress, was elevated to a full blown crisis and abuse that no one deserves.

Both rooms were not very clean but exhaustion blocked our better judgement at this time. All we wanted was rest. My room wasn’t bad to the other room stunk really badly. The hotel's solution was to give you a spray.
The night manager was very nice and tried to be accommodating but the place was becoming very scary the later it got. 10 pm that night we were out at our bus and someone broke into the one locked room and stole everything. One of my employees had but left his knapsack. The police knew him well but said hey, anyone could have stolen his bag and left it in our room. What a joke! The night manager told us to see the day manager in the morning! As it got later the hotel became very dangerous with lots of activity and obvious drugs being done and sold in the parking lot. You didn’t feel safe outside your room at all.
Well it went to hell very quickly the next morning. The manager REFUSED to talk to us when we wanted a refund for the horrible night we experienced. After that the really creepy maintenance guy started taunting us for whatever reason that we are not aware of. We are packing up and getting ready to get away from this hole and we look at our rooms from the parking lot and see the maintenance guy and maids are attempting to go into our rooms 2 hours before check out.
We have dogs in both rooms and I yell across the parking lot to tell them not to open the doors of our rooms because we had dogs, which they knew. We paid extra to have them. I then overhear from someone in the parking lot say that these stupid people let out a guest’s dog that was black and had a purple collar. MY DOG IS NOW RUNNING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. The hotel doesn’t even tell us they let my dog out of the room. Luckily another guest saves my dog from getting hit on the highway.
Once again the management would not come out to even try and rectify this. The creepy maintenance man has now started threatening us and acting very threatening with his motions. We try once again to contact the manager to no avail. She stood behind the desk behind a partition and wouldn’t even acknowledge us. They never did refund us. Before we can even step foot in the room we had to bring cleaning supplies from home and spent hours cleaning dried urine next to the toilet stains. Everywhere the building is falling apart. Everywhere on the outside there are vital concrete walkways that look like they could fall and kill anybody at any time. This place should be condemned and torn down. It shouldn’t be open for business and for people to stay.
The kind of people this place Attracts is dangerous. I had to leave Multiple self protection tools just so I can feel confident with my girlfriend staying there overnight. There are up to all hours of the night fighting and doing drugs or who knows what. The people at this place hire are from out of state and they stay at the motel and they look like the worst bunch of all of them. Is a very dangerous place. I suggest people do not stay here and I am making a call to Bismarck code enforcement because this building should be condemned. Is not legal for people to be staying here. I do promise that I will be making multiple calls on this place. I have multiple pictures and I have been taking videos for days now. I have all the evidence I need to show The disarray of this building.

I have stayed at this Motel 6 in previous years. This year, it is better. Clean, comfortable rooms, staff friendly, caring, pleasant and accommodating, and made me feel at home. They take and adhere to strict Covid 19 restrictions with all staff and guests and delivery persons wearing face masks, being 6 feet apart, social distancing and only one person in the lobby at a time, with sterilization done daily. The signage is posted throughout, so one less worry. The best, safe, excellent stay I've had in many years!

I finally realized how Motel 6 carefully designed to steal your money properly.
- They make online reservation super easy but very difficult to change or cancel.
- Anything they say over the phone is NOT legit including changes of reservation and such.
- Upon complained, they request 30 days statement of credit card to verify before the refund process can begin. THIS IS IMPORTANT because if they charge you in the first place, why need a 30 day CC Statement in which of course you would NOT have it ready right away. By the time you get to it, perhaps a month later, you may forget or they may come up with new excuse.
Bottom line: STAY AWAY from Motel6. They are there to STEAL YOUR MONEY legally

During the pandemic where 4 million citizens are out of work, some homeless are seeking reason priced properties. This hotel has no breakfast, no coffee in the lobby and a closed swimming pool. I understand there is a pandemic but this property is charging excessive prices for a couple sharing one bed. On other competitive websites advertises this room for as little as $43 dollars a night. With proof I can say the manager at this motel is either stealing money or the owners have her frauding people. Anyone who stays at this motel watch your bank accounts. It might seem and look like a lovely motel but it's what you dont see. The manager takes it upon herself to your card without asking you or telling you when you're paid up and do not owe anything and still in the room.
If you're staying weekly and paid up your week she will say you still owe when you know you have paid up and they wont show you where you got behind and will try to use some b.s. For all those long term people staying over 30 days and dont know the tax laws here is a bit of fyi. The tax commission says any stays longer than 30 days become tax free and any taxes you have paid including the first 30 days of your stay are to be refunded. Well the manager will keep charging you the taxes if you dont say something. Now any taxes paid to the motel and that means all money paid in taxes is the tax commissions money not the motels, and the tax commission says what goes with their money. And they say no taxes after 30 days and all taxes after 30 days of stay is to be refunded. ALL TAXES, NOT JUST SOME BUT ALL.
We had to stay through winter due to my husbands personal injury case and like most we had no idea of this tax law and found out through my husbands personal injury attorney. By this time we had paid out 902.00 dollars in taxes from August 23, 2019 to January 3rd 2020. Now understand I can back up everything I'm saying on this review. When we brought this to the managers attention she threw a fit and tried to kick us out. Then when we brought up the missing 150 dollars we were charged in the middle of paid weekly stay she wouldnt give us a straight answer or show us so we asked for the owners number. My husband contacted the owner and recorded the call and on recording he says, "I will take my managers aide any day over a customers" followed later by text messages that we have saved saying we needed to leave and, "We are a franchise. We can do what we want."
Now we were not behind on rent and they were holding 902.00 dollars of tax money that we paid and they needed to refund to us laws of the tax commission. Their reason for kicking us out was because we asked about the missing money and because we requested the tax money to be refunded and it was made confrontational because the manager made it that way and so did the owners and then told us to leave.
Now I'm sure that I'm not the only person that would say someone in that motel was scamming money with a response like that. Why would they kick someone out or respond to a refund that doesnt affect the motel? They refund the money. Fill out a tax commission form letting them know they refunded these taxes back and the tax commission then refunds that money to the motel. Exactly my point. Sounds like to me some tax fraud is going on.
We only received 679.00 back in back taxes which we have now been refunded the remaining by just going Into the tax commission ourselves and showing them all our receipts and payment history, and the missing 150.00 dollars was never resolved so our bank refunded that money back to us and reported it as fraud. Be careful everyone because it happened to a little old lady too. We are not the only people they did this to. They have people and the manager themselves charging your card when you're paid up and they are changing rates making the rates go up in the middle of your already paid up week stay. And they are charging taxes after 30 days when the motels are very aware of the tax law.
If I couldnt back up my claims and can prove with messages and audio I would have never posted this review as you can get into trouble by posting false reviews. This is completely 100% proven. I have now recovered the money by taking the necessary steps. Watch your bank accounts and charges. The manager there Kandi ** is scamming people either for herself or for the owners.

My family and I recently had to make a trip to San Antonio, from West Texas for a medical follow up for my 1 year old son. Being that we're 300 miles away, our insurance arranged for us to stay the night at Motel 6, due to our arriving the night before the early morning appointment. Upon arriving about 10 P.M., my girlfriend went to the front desk to check us in for the night, and informed the clerk that our family was on the list for a room for her, myself and our two babies. This clerk named "Jennifer" rudely demanded that her guest (myself) needed to come inside and present an I.D.. My girlfriend was taken by surprise by this, as number one, we've never had to present I.D.s for anyone other than the person who made and paid for the reservation. She remarked that she thought this was odd, and "Jennifer" quickly snapped at her "I also need you to go outside and write down your car's license plate!"
My girlfriend then came out to the car to inform me what was going on, and I asked her to go back in and explain to the little girl that I had lost my I.D. but had a number of credit cards in my name that may possibly take it's place for the moment, as it was late, cold and all we wanted was to get some rest. My girlfriend walks back into the lobby to explain our situation, that this was our only option for the moment and if she could please work with us to arrange our lodging for the night. "Jennifer" then tells her "You know what, I'm cancelling your reservation right now!", and then proceeded to threaten us with the police is we didn't leave.
This all happened within the span of 5 minutes, and no sooner that my girlfriend returned to the car to inform me how she was being treated inside, one of Motel 6's rent-a-cops shows up and asks that we leave the property. We were no threat to the motel or the staff, we're a family of 4, tired and in desperate need of some rest, and instead were being treated like criminals by this rude little wench.
Needless to say, my family and I were forced to spend the night in our car, in a parking lot, in downtown San Antonio. Upon calling the Motel in the morning to explain what we went through the previous night, the manager "Nancy" was just as short tempered and rude to me, as was her little minion she has parked behind the front desk.
I have never been treated with such disregard, unprovoked by any motel employee in my life, and was literally sick to my stomach about the entire situation. This sad excuse of a human being, "Jennifer" not only inconvenienced us, but put us in a horrible situation, after talking to us as if we were common criminals. I would not recommend this particular motel to anyone, as employees there appear to be very unhinged and mentally unstable. What soulless animal calls the police to remove a couple and their two babies, for doing nothing more than requesting the room which was reserved for them?

I have been staying at this hotel for several months now due to a job placement. I can write many bad things about this Motel 6 in Whitby and some good things but I will keep this to one complaint that has extremely pissed me off. I was tired of waiting for the use of the one and only microwave to eat so I went and bought a small one and put it in my room. I have had it a month now and while I was using it tonight the breaker went in my room only. I went to front desk and told her what happened and she replied that I am not allowed to have one in my room (I never knew this) but anyways she said there is nothing she could do til 8am??? It’s 8pm now and people are still awake to call like a manager or maintenance, I even suggested to do it myself, she then replied, "I don’t know where the electrical room is."
I told her this was unacceptable and asked her to be moved to another room, she then sat down and continued to read her book and totally ignored me. I called complaints. They said they can’t do anything about it? So that was my rant. I am still in the room with no power for the night I guess. What if the whole building went down? I bet someone would be called then. I made a reservation for a senior disabled relative for 3 nights. I called Motel 6 and got their reservation call center. I didn't know: they have an internal war going on between their reservations call center and desk clerks. That no one at Motel 6 can agree on policy for reservations. And policy is made up as their desk clerks please. The customer is always wrong. The Motel 6 reservations call center made my reservation very quick and easy. No problem with 3rd party, just have relative give authorization code and show ID. I asked several times if I or she needed to do anything else. Nothing else needed. I got an email confirmation, including approval of authorization of 3rd party reservation. All set.
She arrived only to be told that 3rd party reservations weren't allowed at that motel 6 by the hotel clerk. She was Not allowed to check in. Desk clerk canceled my reservation. The desk clerks have all the power to do anything they please. It took three motel 6, and in a different city, just to get a clerk that would accept 3rd party reservations without other requirements. Each motel desk clerk had their own different set of rules. The Night Clerk was very nice at the 3rd motel 6, and got her a disability room even though by now quite late at night. She was enjoying her stay away from home so I made an extended reservation for one more night, early on the last morning. And I got the confirmation email at 7:11 am for the extended 1 night. I let her know everything was approved for 1 extra day to relax before leaving.
At about 11:30 am (hours after the reservation had been made for 1 more day) DAY Clerk, a evil minded, mean spirited, rotten, despicable, obnoxious, sadistic person Called her to rudely cruelly berate her and order her out of the room in 15 minutes. That my extra day confirmed reservation was not being allowed by this completely obnoxious incompetent clerk. She wouldn't even allow an extra 15 minutes to take a shower, she refused and ordered her out in 15 minutes no exception. She canceled my reservation, just like the 1st clerk 3 nights before had.
I spoke to their so called customer service for Motel 6 (No managers). All they did was call the sadistic incompetent hotel clerk and parrot what she claimed: That my 3rd party reservation was not allowed. (My relative had already been with them 3 nights on my 3rd party reservation which was allowed by this motel when she checked in 3 nights before.) That I had used their reservations call center and it was not allowed to extend room reservations except by desk clerks not the reservation center. (Obviously they are having a power struggle internally but they have no right to kick out customers with Email Confirmed Reservation just because of a petty battle between hotel clerks and their own reservations center.) And if only desk clerks can extend stays, then why did the reservations center not tell me that and direct me to the desk clerk. Total BS.
Motel 6 and their desk clerks can never be wrong, and the customer must always be wrong. Their final solution: that after my senior disabled relative had been so obnoxiously harshly ordered to leave, she should have checked out, and then rechecked back in paying for another night (on her own). They act like obnoxiously ordering a senior disabled person out of her room in 15 minutes, who had written reservation confirmation for 1 more day, Was not to kick her out, Just to force her to recheck in through the desk clerk instead of through their own reservations call center, To satisfy the sadistic power crazed totally incompetent desk clerk. The clerk certainly didn't invite my relative to continue to stay when she so despicably inexcusably kicked her out.
Motel 6 is Insane. And totally disgusting! Email confirmation by their Own Reservations call center are Worthless to them. They will Not honor them and the desk clerks have the power to cancel reservations on their end. Each desk clerk decides policy and has final say. Not just motel to motel, but each desk clerk at the same motel. There is no authority to regulate motel clerks nor provide a uniform decision. They apologize for the obnoxious treatment, but not for refusing to accept a Confirmed Reservation by their Own Reservations Center and kicking out a paying customer. If they don't want 3rd party reservations, they can just say No, Don't say Yes and then mistreat the customer. Despicable people.
No one from the Top will take any responsibility nor accountability. They seem to have no managers. Desk clerks are given the power to do whatever they please. Their corporate office won't let anyone past the operator, that it's not their problem. Their so called customer service won't do anything about itnor provide any compensation. They claim they can do nothing. And nothing is wrong. They did not charge for wrongfully cruelly kicking my relative out of her room, so everything is fine. Our fault for 3rd party reservation, and for using their reservations call center, and not rechecking in through desk clerk. Email confirmation meaningless. Their having accepted 3rd party reservation for 3 nights, meaningless. That they are invalidating their Own Reservations center, no problem.
They have major internal problems With no authority to direct nor resolve. So the customers are the ones blamed and mistreated, and left out in the cold. We the customers to not count for anything with Motel 6. Their bottom line is they don't care, they will not make anything right. They will not compensate, they will not address the problem. Their clerks can do anything they please. It is we the customer who must be always wrong. We the customers are worthless to them. Room: low water pressure in shower. Towels scratchy. No fridge, no microwave, etc. They provide bottom of the barrel and treat their customers the same.

Tiny little soap bar. No shampoo or conditioner.
However, the worst thing was the floor was dirty, maybe not ever mopped. My husband forgot his sandals at home. The floor felt so sticky, he had to use a towel to stand on. The maid obviously cleaned the bathroom, made the bed, but, never ever mopped the floors in years. The temps were in the 90s for the 4 days we stayed. THERE WAS NO ICE MACHINE! When I complained to Motel 6 corporate HQ they reversed their decision and returned my cash, then charged my card for the room. Upon checking out the next day I was informed by the hotel management that they were blacklisting me from their property in the future for complaining to corporate HQ on the violation of their own written policy. I am very disappointed that Motel 6 would allow such unprofessional conduct among their franchise managers. This whole incident has given Motel 6 a black eye from my perspective.

They advertise breakfast included on Trivago but it is a lie, They don't offer it. The room smelled like humidity and when I returned at night my clothes felt wet! The worst part is that I didn't use my three nights that were already paid for so they said they were refunding me close to $100.00 but to my surprise a few days later this was another charge instead. Now they owe me close to $200.00 because they charged me twice instead of refunding the amount. I feel robbed. And when I called they said they had a refund in their records. I hope my bank can solve this claim and that I never need to stay in a place like this again in my life. Someone should make sure customers of this company are respected.

She said her cameras showed a person entering, which was a friend that was there about an hour. She then pointed out her cameras were everywhere and she could watch everything I do. That creeped me out and I left. I feared for my safety and checked out, taking a big hit. Don't stay there. Flo ruined my July 4 weekend.

I'm not even sure where to begin. First of all the hotel has crackheads outside trying to sell you drugs, the rooms are gross, the beds have stains on them, not all the rooms have ice buckets or extra towels. I was given room 236 when I checked in, I went in the room and none of the outlets worked, the air conditioner blew out hot air, and the bed had what looked like bed bug stains on the bottom of the sheets. I immediately went to the office and asked for another room.
I was then given room 210 which only had 2 outlets that worked and the same nasty sheets on that bed as well. There was a guy outside that asked my husband if he wanted to buy any weed, pills, meth or cocaine. I highly recommend that this hotel be shut down and the building condemned. I will never stay at this motel ever again!!! We checked in at 7pm on May 18th, 2019 with a reservation. They told me the room was ready since 3pm and I'd have no problems. After arriving we had to wait an extra 15 min for the cleaning guy to finish cleaning the carpets with a carpet cleaner everything was left soaking wet. Why on earth would you clean carpets as soon as we get there and get them all wet?!? The carpets were wet throughout the rest of my stay there and it smelled so bad (like wet dog and smoke). Non smoking room btw!! I don't know what happened before we checked in but the room was obviously occupied. Besides we checked in despite what they told us. I had to leave the air on all night to have circulation (even though it was cold outside!) but I still couldn't sleep from the smell. It kept giving me a headache. Not to mention I had to leave my shoes on all night because the carpet was wet!!
Also for 230$ a night which is what I paid (they said that was the normal price however when I looked online average prices showed 65-85 which is honestly what this place is worth) I expected something nicer. We had cold stuff to eat and drink but the room had no refrigerator!! How can a motel that's 230$ a night not have a mini fridge or a microwave!! I called the front desk because my stuff would go bad if left out and she told me they some of them share a fridge in the front. I will not leave my food and drinks in a community fridge. I ended up throwing out all my stuff I couldn't keep it overnight anyways. What kind of motel is this?
Also the furniture is all marked up and do not look behind any of it - they clearly don't clean their rooms!!! The TV had static on every channel so couldnt get a clear picture. There was no dvd player to watch a movie. I ended up going to bed at 9pm and checked out early at 830 am. This was the worst night away from home I have ever had in my life not to mention the most expensive for such a horrible stay. Do not stay here! The place is nothing as described and definitely not worth more than a 60$ a night stay.

I checked in at 5:15 pm, left for a class at 5:30 pm, returned at 10 pm & left at 6 am the next morning. Almost $80.00 with a discount for 1 room, 1 bed. Why the harsh rating? Because the money is for a place to confidently lay down to sleep & be able to shower in the morning to get ready for the day. I don't feel I received that. A clean bed, clean sheets & a clean functional bathroom were my expectation. And I don't like to share my room with crawly things. Positive: First of all, the staff was friendly during my stay, my room was ready, the air conditioner worked, was cold & the toilet was fully functional & clean. So was the Mini-fridge. The towels were adequate.
Negative: the rest of the room & bathroom was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, some repairs & TLC. Sheets were halfway on the mattress & inside-out. Looking at the over-the-bed lights, there were mystery blobs under the glass. I had to share my room with a resident spider & nameless bug, the microwave still had food splatter from previous guests, the storage surfaces were dirty & the electrical outlets were so loose, that the charger kept falling out. I decided against a shower since there was unknown residue in the bathtub, the shower curtain rod was dented & not secured to the wall & the sink handle & other surfaces really needed that thorough cleaning. I found some questionable hairs on the Motel 6 sheets & slept on sheets & pillows I brought with me.
Note to self: this Motel has its washers in the hallway! Not a good idea to get a room anywhere near them! Do not touch the floor without shoes or gloves. Hallway carpets may be wet & squishy. There is no shampoo, hair dryer or coffeemaker provided. I remember Motel 6 from waaay back. No longer the Motel 6 where Tom Bodett “will leave the light on for you".

I've been staying at this location, 2551 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418, for more than 5 years, 6 visits per year, for work. The most serious complaint I had, in the beginning, was extremely low water pressure at the sink. Little by little in the beginning, they were making small but significant changes for the better, e.g. remodeling the rooms, gradually adding refrigerators and microwaves throughout. But of late, those changes have begun to move in the opposite direction, i.e. for the worse. Instead of increasing the water pressure, they've added a nozzle to the faucet to increase the intensity but not the volume. Now the spray is so strong, water splashes from the sink at even the lowest setting.
I've always used a "Do Not Disturb" sign on all of the motels I stay in and now, this motel at least, no longer permits that. And while I was en route to stay at this location this week, I stopped to get some groceries, knowing that I will be able to have access to a refrigerator and microwave. However, upon arrival, I've discovered that they are gradually removing the microwaves but not before I paid $30 extra for a room with a refrigerator BUT WITHOUT a microwave. So the groceries I purchased will go unused as well as the EXTRA $30! I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN NOR ANY OTHER MOTEL 6!!!

Let us start at the beginning; the website reservation had nowhere to request a handicap access room so I had to call the motel to ask for a ground floor handicap room. When we arrived we were told we had a ground floor room, but nothing was mentioned about it being handicapped. At the door; the first thing we were hit with was the smell, the cleaning person must have used an entire bottle of cleanser in that room because the smell hit you from the door and every time we came back to the room and opened the door it hit you again.
The room; there was 1 chair, hard molded wooden looking chair. No table or desk, just 1 chair. While a spacious room because of the lack of carpet and lack of furniture it echoed badly inside. This Motel 6’s website had showed a table and 2 chairs in the room. The bed; the sheets had been tucked so far under the mattress that the blanket was not even visible until we removed the bedspread and sheet and found the blanket mixed in between them, in other words they had “Short sheeted” the bed. The bed base was so creaky that every movement was loud and echoed. The pillows were the smallest flattest things you have ever seen.
The bathroom; WAS NOT HANDICAPPED, the toilet seat was loose and caused me to fall when it slide sideways. It was very difficult to get up from the toilet without any grab bars, had to use the door frame to pull myself upright. I was not even going to try to get in and out of the shower since it was a standard bathtub with high sides. The toilet flush was so loud it uncomfortable. Again, I had asked for a handicap room because the photos on their website had showed a roll in shower in their “Deluxe” King room. Which is what we had paid for.
The curtains; we discovered at night that the curtains were on a broken double rod system but there was only 1 curtain and it was placed 4 inches out from the window, allowing so much light around them that with the lights off we were able to read by the light of the porch light that was directly outside of our window, it actually got darker in our room in the morning when the light went out. Why there was not a second curtain or why the one that was there was so far away from the window I’ll never understand.
There was an uncovered power outlet just under the headboard that could have caused a fire or electrocute one of us if we slid our hand in the 3 inch space between the bed and the wall. The cleaning person came in the next day, but all she did was pick up the towel off the bathroom floor and did not leave a spare roll of toilet paper, I tried to call the front desk but the phone would not accept any key presses, and the only number I could find was not for our front desk but rather headquarters. So I had to get dressed and walk across the parking lot in the rain to ask for a roll of toilet paper. The little things; there was no Kleenex, the book they leave in the room for you to see what is available in the area had at least 3 businesses that were no longer in business.

I should have known not to book a room at Motel 6 in Hollywood. They tell you in fine print on the website that there may not be parking. But you don't find that out until you actually get to the motel and find out you have to park 2 blocks away and pay 15 to $20 for that parking. I will never ever ever ever stay at this Motel 6 again.

He told us to pack our things and get out from his Hotel and start to shouting saying that he doesn't want us there...my husband even asked if was because he was a ** guy and the guy just look at him and just kick us out screaming yelling saying for us to get out. We are very upset. My husband is sick with allergies from the Smoke of the campfire the air is very unhealthy and the guy just treat us like garbage. I want our money back...please do something about it because nobody deserves to be treated like that because of the color of their skin.
The Reservation was at the Motel 6 at San Rafael, CA. We want to be refunded, we want our money back. We don't deserve to be treated like that. Very disappointed, horrible people...no respect at all for the customer. We try to solve the problem over the phone but seems they don't know what to do in this case. Be aware of this place. Maintenance guy kept bothering us because he left stuff and couldn't find stuff. On top of it all some man walked back and forth, yelling, talking on his phone. I filed a complaint, no answer to a free day due to this one not being pleasant. Linen not stocked. It was unrestful and horrible.

I made reservation with this Motel 6 (#1251, 1101 Shoreway Rd, Belmont, CA) directly and received a confirmation email as usually, and printed it out just to be sure. But when I arrived here after 8 hours of long drives in the evening the receptionist at front desk told me they have no record of my reservation and said I need to call reservation center myself. I told them it’s not my problem. Why can’t they call and find out where went wrong. They said they can’t! So I did.
The reservation center personnel told me there’s nothing they can do because they have no access to whatever the system, and asked me to call another number. Again, I told her it’s not my problem, I made the reservation weeks in advance directly and have confirmation paper with me, why can’t they connect me to whoever directly instead of me making all the phone calls and repeating the issue?! She told me something about the system that they just can’t transfer me directly. Out of anger, tiredness, and frustration I began to raise my voice then she said maybe she can call the property management at Motel 6 #1251 and find out what the issue was. So she called them, and found that my reservation got cancelled shortly after it was confirmed due to overbooking, it was the computer that automatically cancelled my reservation!!!
The reservation center personnel offered to put me in another Motel 6 cross the bridge, I refused because it was in the totally opposite direction, the horrible traffic would add 2 hours extra traffic time to my planned schedule. The worst part in all of this was that, they had no decency to even send me a cancellation notification through text, phone or email, so I could make other arrangement!!?? Regardless how I expressed my frustration or asked them “How would you feel and deal with this if this happens to you??!!” Their standard bureaucratic response was, “I am sorry, but you can call reservation center...!”
Apparently Motel 6 was incapable and unwilling to take up responsibility, and doesn’t care about my situation. So my husband and I decided to look for another place to stay. But since it was high demand for lodging due to conferences and late booking, it took us a while to finally find vacancy at Holiday Inn near Fisherman’s Wharf, and it cost $594.91, including $53 overnight parking on the premise. I however did apologize to the front desk receptionist for my attitude, after all, it was the computer that took me off the system, not them!!
I wish this episode ended there, but no... what happened was, with the rather expensive $53 I paid for the Holiday Inn overnight parking (it was in the basement and required hotel card to get in), I found my car window smashed in the morning. Sigh... speechless...! Well, I asked the Holiday Inn front desk personnel, the answer I got was, “We have signs out there.” I guess the signs were something about hotel not responsible for cars or belongings! My question was, with the amount of money they charged for parking, they can’t hire a security? After I shared this incidence with friends both local and visitors, what we heard was, “it’s been a long term issues and city can’t do anything about it, so just DON’T GO TO SAN FRANCISCO ANYMORE!!!”

First, I want to say that me and my guests felt our safety has been threatened by the male front desk by putting fear in our hearts by saying he knows our identity and address including kicking us out in the late afternoon so we will not have a place to stay. I was asked by this very rude male front desk for my ID as I check in. I gave my driver’s license and then he asked again for the IDs of my 3 relatives. He was staring at me while I am looking for the co number of my niece as they are parking the car so I can tell them that their IDs are needed.
I told this guy I am contacting them and please wait. I gave the IDs after and he checked but told me I need their passports as they are not from USA but from Australia. I replied on him that he should have made it clear that next time he must be clear so people especially those that are tired from their travel will not get tired more. He said, "I thought they are from USA also because you have a USA ID." I answered that he should not make assumption because he can make mistake and make his guest uncomfortable. He said, "I can kick you out of this hotel if you do talk like that?" I said, "You asked for something I gave you and then you said it wrong" where in fact he should have been cleared on what he requires from their customer.
He said I am ruining his day and, "this is ridiculous." I told him you should not tell that to his customers because he was the first one who is not clear. He said again ok, "I kick you out of the motel." I asked him, "Where is your manager?" and he said manager is not availability and he can kick us out now. I told, "You are not the manager and I will call your corporate if kick us out here." He has not stopped talking and I put my phone focus to record him as he is being very rude and hurtful especially in front of my guests. He told me, "I know your address." He raised his voice again and repeatedly saying he knows me and my address. I asked him, "why you are threatening me." He said, "I can sue you because you are video recording me."
I told him, "I am supposed to video record you because you are maliciously demeaning me and my guests. You are treating us badly because I am with my guests who came from other country." I told, "You should not irrespectfully act like that because San Francisco (especially they are in the heart of the great city) is a tourist city and many tourist comes here" so he should be cleared in asking IDs and Passport for foreigners as he said its Motel 6 rules. The other lady who is a kind one dialed the phone of the manager and the manager appeared. Looks like just woke up with the eyes almost closed.
The manager just seems like not interested in his staff bad behavior saying, "You committed a mistake by trying to video record him," I replied, "He just do not want to stop besmirching us. That’s why I pretend I will record him." Manager not saying anything on his very rude front desk and I asked the manager, "So what are you going to say to your rude staff?" I went to the Motel 6 in Southington to spend a weekend with my husband and not break the bank. When I arrived the customer service rep was clueless about the room. And when I asked if there was coffee pots in the room he said no, but never told me that they serve complimentary coffee in the office from 6-10 in the morning. So I got up to the room and laid down for a bit. Then I got up and went to the bathroom then noticed hair all over the floor. So I then bleach the bathroom as I had a new bottle of bleach with me. While I was cleaning the bathroom the tub also had hairs. Next I got in the shower and the tub was so backed up that it filled all the way up to my ankles. Well I got out and went to brush my teeth. Well guess what the sink was backed up as well.
By this time it was late I knew for sure that the guy at the front desk wouldn’t do anything. So I waited until the next day to talk to someone else. So then the girl at the front desk Darnesha was very nice then called the manager. This was the worst experience ever. Not a sorry just, "You can either get refunded for one day or get your room switched". To me this seemed unfair since my stay was ruined. I would have just preferred a full refund as my stay was ruined but I took the new room, only to find out the tub did the same thing. Not to mention in the first room the toilet would not flush. We had to use the plunger each time we used it.
So the manager on duty didn’t seem to care and didn’t apologize. When I spoke to her she claims she did but I was waiting for that and never heard it so when she says she apologized that’s not true. Motel 6 doesn’t seem to care if your experience is bad and will just take advantage of you!!! The room they moved me into had the same issue. The tub backed up so bad that it went to my ankles. So upset about this stay and the fact no one cares to fix it.

Hello, I recently stayed at Motel 6 in Duluth MN. I checked in on Friday August 17th as I had a wedding to attend on Saturday. Upon entering I noticed that there was a strong odor of cigarette smoke. I mentioned to the front desk that I was not aware that there was smoking allowed, that the odor bothered me and my son, and asked to be as far from the scent as possible. I would have chosen to go to a different hotel if I knew that smoking was permitted as my son has a lung issue and smoke makes him ill. Duluth is so busy in the summer I was lucky to get this room and was forced to stay.
When we entered the room the smell was very minimal, so my son was fine. However, when we opened the bathroom door, the smell was very obvious. My son had to use the bathroom with the door open, or he gagged. Saturday my adult children came up and my family attended a wedding. We came back to the hotel, the smell was much stronger. Too strong. I had to send my son to stay at the hotel in Wisconsin with my other kids as a result. After my son left I stepped outside to walk to the gas station. When I returned the door G was not locked, I just pulled it open. Not secure at all, and I was in room 113 which is next to that door.
I also picked up a used needle and tossed in the dumpster next to the hotel/restaurant. I would have asked to be moved, however I heard the front desk decline a guest as they were booked solid. So I was stuck there. When I checked out Sunday, I voiced my concern to the person at the front desk. She was very rude and made the excuse that if a guest smokes in a room that is non smoking there is nothing they can do. Simply put she did not care that my son got sick. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. She refused to accept responsibility for the actions inside of the hotel, and did not even apologize. She said if I didn't like it, I could simply write corporate.
I do not live in Duluth, however when I explained to friends in the city what had happened with the smoke, the door and the syringe, they all expressed that the hotel was known to be the place to purchase heroin. I am both angry and disgusted over this stay. I rarely complain, but in this case it is required. As a professional I believe in feedback, all feedback is useful. My hope is your management team learns from this and does something to clear this up.

On 8/15/18 at around 1500 hours, I went into the Motel 6, located at 4585 S. Harding St, Indianapolis, In 46217. The receptionist had processed my information and was about to give me a room. One of the work knew me from renting rooms at this establishment on previous occasions, she said my name. The manager proceeded to inform me that she could not rent me a room, because she made a "Deal" with an individual not associated with Motel 6. I asked why, I'm not barred from this establishment? She said, "You are now!"
I asked this individual, dressed in booty-shorts and a Ghetto shirt, who she was and her name? She replied "**". I said, ok. May I have the number to the owner and Corporate? Both requests were denied. I then googled the Corp website and called to complain about this unprofessional behavior. As I was on hold with the representative from Corporate, the Manager ** went into a low-toned tirade: "This is my hotel... You're wasting your time, when will people learn they can't do anything to me because I'll still have a job at the end of the day, you need to stop acting like a little ** and leave, you're so immature, etc..."
Once she concluded her monologue, she called a gentleman name "**" to remove me physically, although I had not shown an ounce of resistance, I simply wanted a Logic explanation for the refusal of service. The gentleman **, proceeded to speak to me harshly, but my low southern responses seemed to abate his belligerent attitude towards me. I went to explain how on Aug. 11, 2018 at 0030 hours, he rented a room (Confirmation No: **, Room 106) ) and allowed me to borrow a wall charger, which I returned to the morning receptionist "**" (who was present). I asked him, did he have any issues with me, to which he replied "no."
Upon this revelation the manager **, called the corporate offices in an attempt to discredit and invalidate my complaint. I've been renting motels since Feb. 1999, I have never had a complaint against me, never damaged anyone's property. I am truly shocked that Motel 6 allows people, in a Professional position to dress in such a manner, that a customer would confuse them with the common help.
Lastly, the way I was spoken to was very disturbing, especially since I only requested a room. The way this Manager spoke to me, let's me know that this is a common practice at this establishment or franchise, as she was so proud to convey to me. I'm really disappointed at Motel 6 and the unutterable amount of unwarranted disrespect aimed at a Business. This particular establishment shows me, that no one is checking up on these Franchises. Where in the Corporate World, does a "Manager" wear Booty-shorts (see their Video cameras) in their Official Capacity and Represent such an entity? This is truly a shock. I'm fairly disappointed.

The Motel 6 in Kalama, WA looks reasonably well-kept from the outside, but it belies what the rooms are like. My room had a queen-sized bed which was ok except for a pillow which looked like someone had been lying on it before I got there. The two chairs had fabric seats were very dirty; there were small dried globs of something on the one by the table. Furniture holes were emitting wood dust. No carpeting--had been replaced by wood-look vinyl? floor covering which I prefer anyway. Had a decent small refrigerator and microwave. Worn painted steel sink was missing cap on the cold faucet where whiskers and grime were left from a previous occupant. Separate sink from the bath which is nice. AC unit blew warm air. Since it had been around 100 deg F. that day, the room air needed cooling.
Leaving the door open only did a little. Calling down to the office revealed that none of the air conditioners worked. Rough night of trying to sleep in the heat. Shower and tub both, but the faucet did not close off the tub supply when the shower head supplied water. Adequate number of electrical outlets, but they were too loose to hold the plugs in them. Thin walls. Picture windows seemed relatively new, but did not fit well enough to lock. Expressway traffic was loud, but not unbearable. I am writing this with the hope of preventing someone else from going through what we went through on our stay at Motel 6 in Branford, CT. My daughter (30), our Pug and I checked into the Motel 6 really not knowing how long our stay would be as we were waiting for plans to be complete to move to Florida. Upon check-in, we were put into a room that was not very clean, smelled bad, had no working phone and was infested with tiny fruit flies. The next morning we asked to be moved to another room and was told we could move next door. So, with no help from anyone, we moved our things. Mid afternoon, the toilet started to overflow and within 10 minutes the bathroom and the entire unit was filled with about 2 inches of water!!! Our dog thought it was great, but I was livid!!!
Again we were told we could move next door. And again with no offer of help, I moved our wet belongings as fast as I could. Nobody came to see what was going on or to even turn off the water so that the flooding would stop!!! That room stayed flooded for the next two days as no one even took a wet vac to remove the water so that mold would not eventually form!!! The situation just got continually worse every single day. The housekeepers Deb and Shirley are the absolute rudest women I have ever met and do not deserve to be in the service business!!! They stand in the hallway, like guard dogs, and instead of doing their jobs, they harassed the guests for whatever reason.
The Branford police are there at least once a day, and this place is not in a high crime area!!! There is absolutely NO security to the building. Anyone can get into the building at any time...the doors do not lock...or are not locked!!! I overheard another guest saying that a man had been roaming the hallways the night before, but wasn't bothering anyone. The front desk went to check a guest into a room that already had someone staying in it...unbeknownst to the staff!!!
After a week or so and having spoken to some of the other guests, I became suspicious that someone other than my daughter and myself was entering the room. I rarely leave the room except to take the dog out. Sure enough, upon re-entering the building with my dog I turned the corner just in time to see Shirley coming out of my room!! I NEVER has housekeeping do my room... I cleaned it and changed the sheets on my own. So there was NO reason for her to be in there. When confronted, she said she was just checking to make sure we didn't need anything!! I told her she was lying and if I ever saw that happening again, there would be big trouble. Other guests have told me that things have been missing from their rooms and they have seen her coming out of it!!
A few weeks before we checked in, a car ran into the side of the Motel 6 building, causing quite a bit a damage and they had it boarded up and cordoned off. The damaged room was, of course, right next door to our room!! About 10 days into our stay, the front desk informed me that they would be doing work in that room and there would be a lot of noise for a few days. And they just weren't kidding. It was so loud, I couldn't even hear the tv. When I asked the front desk if we could move (again!!!), they said there were no more rooms and it wouldn't be for long. I knew that was not true, there were plenty of rooms available, but it was more the unprofessional and uncaring manner in which it was said! By this time I had just about had it with all these so employees, who are there to make the guests' stay enjoyable.
The Motel does not offer any kind of a breakfast...just coffee from 8am to 10am. You would think that would be a fairly simple task to perform. But, on more than one occasion, I went to get coffee in the main office area, and it was empty!!! When I asked if anyone was going to make more coffee, I was told, "No...no sense I'm making a whole pot for only one or two people!!!"
And to wind things up, today (Friday), I received a phone call from the front desk saying that because it was past 12:30pm and I hadn't paid for tonight yet, that I was being thrown out and has one half hour to leave!!! I was beyond angry!!! I NEVER leave my room, I am very aware of what is going on (having been the Manager of a resort hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL a few years ago) and don't cause anyone any problems...unless they ask for it!!! I told her I wanted to speak to the manager (who only shows up for about an hour four times a week). He got on the phone and began screaming at me about having unsavory people in my room and letting my dog pee on the sidewalk. I am 70 years old and not really the type to have "unsavory" company...nor is my daughter.
When I tried to explain to the manager that he must have me mixed up with someone else, he hung up on me! I could go on and on, but those are the main complaints I have about this Motel 6. I certainly hope others heed my warning and avoid staying there. Unprofessional, rude, dirty, unsavory employees from the top on down and all in all A VERY BAD PLACE TO STAY!!!

We booked a room with Motel 6 in Enterprise Alabama. The most disgusting experience we've ever had. Room smelled of urine and other foul odors. Stained carpets throughout, most disturbing were the ones caused by the toilet having overflowed and no carpet shampooing. Someone's old soap sludge in the soap dispenser in shower, which provided an adhesive for pubic hairs of prior residents. Mystery brown splatters all over shower walls. Washrags, curtains, bedspread and pillows under the case stained or unwashed. Headboard of one bed had boogers dried on it as well as shower and shower curtain. Dried fecal matter inside of the toilet and on hinges of seat. Thick brown crud all around bathroom baseboards. The microwave looked as if it had never been cleaned. We were also expected to share the room with roaches and flies.
It was late when we arrived exhausted from a long day of traveling and the front desk was happy enough to check us in but when we promptly tried to check out, no one answered the phone or the night bell until 9 am the following morning. When they finally answered, we were met by a man in his red plaid pj pants and a mint green polo he had clearly slept in, with food stains all down the front of it. We asked for a refund and were told we had to go online and do it. I argued that we didn't pay online. We paid here. I came to the realization that the only English he spoke was, "GO ONLINE".
10 minutes after driving away, my bank sends a text letting me know that Motel 6 took not one but three nights out of my account. I called the same motel and was told, yet again, to go online and request a refund. I called customer care instead, in the lobby. Customer service had them refund the whole amount but that too was a nightmare. It took THREE CALLS! And not one of them cared about the experience, in fact I felt like an imposition and they had much better things to do. Not one apology, just huffs and puffs and what felt like eye rolling. I'm just happy for the refund. Moral of the story, stay anywhere else, even if it's your car!

Like I said it was late, so we decide to go next door to Jack In The Box, we ate dinner, then went straight to sleep. Then DUN DUN DUUNNN we woke up to the filthiest motel experience EVER. I’ll let these photos do the talking. Do yourself a favor and grab a barf bag, because you're gonna need it!!! I wanted to capture more photos of the grossness, but I couldn’t stomach another look at it all... I’ll walk you through the photos. Photo #1 This is the top blanket. Huge black dirt spots that are on both blankets. Photo #2 Non Smoking room. Cigarette holes all over the blankets. Photo #3 Middle blankets on both beds had these black chunks of disgusting matter embedded in them. Photo #4 The entire area of hardwood floors are caked with months and months of uncleaned black filth. Photo #5 And who knows what this crap can possibly be... like I said floors have not been cleaned in months. Photo #6... and more disgusting matter.

On June 8th I arrived at the Motel in East Point,Ga on Virginia Ave st approximately 12:15am. There was a line out the door. The receptionist Michelle ** was EXTREMELY rude to me and my other 5 guest that I had with me. She kept making rude comments then overcharged me for one of my rooms in which I had reservations for 3 rooms. She repeatedly asked me which reservation was I paying for and I told her I would pay for one of the King rooms first. She raised her voice and said "That's not what I asked you!" I told her that I want to keep all 3 because of the number of people with me. She was sighing deeply out loud and turning up her nose. When I paid for the 1st room and she asked me for $178 I told her that my room should have been $155.65. She showed me to show her proof, in which I did and she still charged me $178. My sister was paying for another room and her card got declined because we were traveling.
She told her (Michelle) that she had the money and would just get from the ATM, when the ATM transaction declined she laughed and said to her, "But you got it though?" At this point the East Point Police officer got involved because Michelle again, raised her voice. The Police officer asked the other person that had just gotten off work to step in and help because she was being so rude to the customers. When I came in the night of June 9th she was working again, when I came in the lobby, she looked at us, rolled her eyes and turned her head. I stay at this location at least once a month because I am there on business. This is the 1st time I have encountered bad service at this location and this really makes me question if I will stay there again. I checked out on June 10th and spoke with the manager, she did refund me $23. She was very pleasant and try to rectify my problem.

Fantastic Motel 6! It almost restores my respect for this motel chain... Almost! (avoid Motel 6 in Barstow VT and Childress,TX). This motel has a cozy feel- even with the new fake hardwood floors they've put in. It seemed clean, and everything was stocked. The classy lobby even serves coffee, fruit and donuts in the mornings! This is the first Motel 6 I've felt safe in. Most importantly, the check in clerk was welcoming, and didn't hassle me about pets. This motel chain has started to push it's "pet friendly" policy, but unfortunately, like the 7-11's in this country, the trend for this chain is to be bought up by foreign investors, who put foreign clerks in their motels, WHO ARE RUDE, HAVE A LIMITED COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, AND MAKE ISSUES ABOUT PETS! I wish all the Motel 6s would use Natchitoches, LA as their model for how a motel should be run!

June 8, 2018 we checked into the Studio 6 extended stay motel at 4100 W. John Carpenter Irving, TX 75063. The parking lot should have been a clue as to how bad this experience was going to be. Where do I start. I just caught my hand on a rusty nail when I was reaching for the light switch in the bathroom. The door frame is split from someone kicking the door in, causing the nail to pop out. The "beds" are a mattress on a piece of plywood with a base made of 2"x12"s. I decided for some strange reason to see why the pillows on one bed were so different from the 2 on the other. OMG they are pillows left by a previous guest and reused!
Check out the pics...yellow, drool stains and I'm not sure what that is on the label...makeup or blood. I take them to the front desk and tell the guy to look. He says, "I see it." He takes me to the laundry room...no more pillows, have to wait until morning. I'm thoroughly pissed and disgusted. Will be calling the City of Irving first thing Monday to file a health and safety complaint since I cannot find any sort of fire alarm/detector. If I could give 1/2 or no stars I would.

June 7, 2018 at approximately 11:00 p.m. My husband was just refused service at the Motel 6 in Weatherford, Texas, despite having a reservation. When he attempted to check in, the manager, Bob, said, “I am refusing you service. Leave the property.” Additional comments about skin color were made by Bob. I called Bob in an attempt to ascertain vacancy. Bob was rude to me. I admit that I was rude in response. My husband has already driven 500 miles today and still has about 500 more to go TONIGHT, thanks to Bob. He has severe health issues that this will undoubtedly exacerbate.
No more Motel 6 for us. Tomorrow, I’ll be calling every other number available to report this. DISCRIMINATION BY SKIN COLOR.

Motel 666 Montgomery, AL. Stayed a few hours... left at 3 a.m. after someone opened the room door with a card/key. The room had not been put into the computer, so they rented it to someone else at 2:30 in the morning! OMG! It was dirty, noisy, TV cable kept cutting out, and no cold water in the shower. This made it virtually impossible to take a shower! So many negatives here... very disappointed. I was charged $50.88 for this nasty room where we stayed but a few hours and got no rest. Nothing in the room... no microwave, no coffee pot, no hair dryer, no dresser, not even a Kleenex provided. Only one chair in the room, one nightstand, one small desk. They can surely do better than this!!! Desk clerk was nice... that's my one and only positive about this place.

Yesterday on Tuesday May 22nd 2018 I checked in at Motel 6 Highway 49 in Gulfport Mississippi. Soon as I came to the room which is 224 these sheets were dirty. Had black stains on it all over. Call front desk. Ask can anybody bring some clean sheets and blankets. They said they would take care of it. Time passes by still no clean sheets. Told them again by 6:30. They finally send a housekeeper. She gets his clean sheets. We say something about being reported. There are ants on the bed. Took pictures of that. The housekeeping lady was one of the witnesses. Showed her all the black stains black marks all over the sheets. It was fresh.
The blanket had stains on it. Took the pictures on the phone. Took it to the front desk to talk to a manager and they didn't do anything. One of my guest that I had to come visit has bites on her feet. She showed the housekeeper that and they still didn't do anything about it. It's not a place I would recommend for anybody on business trips or anybody with family. The beds have bed bugs. They have ants, unclean sheets, the rooms are not clean. The other day I rented out and the rooms were dirty. We had to wait 20 minutes before the room. When we got in the room there is no toilet tissue, no towels, no bath Clause, none of the stuff that supposed to be in a room after you clean it. The lady at front desk didn't give no receipt.

I have been trying to be just in my demands of "making it right"... so let me explain. I attempted to stay in your Commerce GA, privately owned facility on the night of April 10th 2018. Ok. So... We get there a little early and the cleaning lady is in the room, so I yelled across parking lot "make sure you do a good job now"... like that rooms been rented. I'm here. Do good job. This lady either in fact did not do a good job or deliberately put a USED SYRINGE IN THE BED.
I freaked out and bagged it up and documented leaving the room and even punched in GPS for directions to my home so there would be some kind of proof that I left and did not return. However... I waited till the next morning to call the hotel about it. He said it wasn't his employee... Well now I'm not sure who got that room before me but this lady didn't do her job in that... the most basic thing you do to a motel room is... CHANGE THE DAMN BED SHEETS. Right? Well the ONLY other option is that SHE DID IT INTENTIONALLY (because I told her do good job... is my opinion.). I even made a police report and everything. So now because it is privately owned... There's nothing corporate can/will do for me.
I refused the $68 refund I was offered the first time I had talked to the manager. Because I hadn't thought about it like that. But now the shock has worn and I know what I want... Free lifetime stays... No matter if it's for a month at a time. I want to be able to know if I ever need a place to sleep... PEACE OF MIND says I'll have it there. I need them to know that she... either way it happened because of his employee and he needs to be held responsible... But she endangered my life in more than just one way... I'm allergic to a lot of stuff... from tetanus shot to alone, ** to **... Let alone the blood could have HIV or hepc or anything. Very not cool... This is ** really.

There are just as many good posted reviews for Bellingham WA as bad, so for people it seems friendly staff doesn't work for everyone the same. My experience with staff was horrible, it started when trying to speed the process up of charging my card to reflect that the room was paid for instead of when I arrive, since I booked with reservation center I called and asked to do just that, I was told I needed to call the front desk where my stay was so I did. Front desk said to call res center so I call them back. They say they can't, I'm starting to fume because this goes for nearly everywhere these days, what happened to the term hospitality.
So instead of allowing this front desk person to tell me again call the res center I got angry and I let her know in so many words that I was... success!!! There is a 3rd party way to do it but call res center back, so I did explaining front desk said use third party, the child on the other end said once again call the front desk back... that was it, I went off like I wouldn't be able to tomorrow cussing out the reservation agent relentlessly, hung up on him finally. A few moments later I received confirmation it was paid for. I don't like to be that way, but the front desk nightmare continued on.
The final straw was I was outside smoking a cig and there were pigeons outside, the next door guest comes outside starts to feed them, 1 is being not allowed to eat, the guest goes back in, I decide to get a few crackers to try for the pigeon not eating, immediately some new control front desk freak approached me telling me to stop not the next door guest, that was the final insult on top of many I was going take, now I'm pretty sure I'm being watched and possibly abused. To cancel remaining stay is just as another nightmare so I will sleep and try again in the AM fretting getting refund on the card will actually take place since the agent didn't seem to know when either, I hung up on him too. The room was clean but not ready at 3pm as told, it was 6pm. I used 1 star rating in order to post, I wanted to give them nothing, and won't tell anyone to come here.

I had a need in April to book a room in Oakland, CA, and their reservation system said that Motel 6 had now become My6, and I needed to change my password. I changed it five times unsuccessfully. Each time I tried to log in, I had to see the same message saying I needed to change my password. I finally had to call the reservation center to make the reservation. They said they were having issues with the site, and that I should wait a few days and try again.
Well four weeks later, due to a death, I need to book a room in Las Vegas for a funeral on May 7. I get the same message all over again, and tried to change my password 4 more times, with the same message. Change my password... I have to now call the reservation system to book the room again. I even sent an email this time... Someone was supposed to call me to tell me my account had been reset. I have not heard a peep after 2 days. I waited for a week to do this review to allow time to see if my opinion changed and it hasn't. We were there just for an overnight stay and were totally disappointed. The first room (212) we were given wasn't clean - beds weren't made, case of empty beer bottles left in room, dirty towels on floor in bathroom, dirty cup with drink in it on nightstand, tried to call front desk from phone and the phone didn't work. Went back to front desk and the lady at the front desk acted like she didn't remember us, it had only been about 10 minutes since we checked in and there wasn't anyone else checking then. We were given another room (211) - that room was cleaner BUT the desk chairs were filthy, there was a stain on one bedspread and the desk table was sticky.
These things were bad but we were willing to live with it for just a stop over stay. Beds were comfortable and sheets clean. Then we went to leave and the door would not open (from the inside)!!! We called the front desk and reported we were locked in our room and needed them to get us out. Of course their first question was did we have the deadbolt on and we had but now it wouldn't unlock. It took about an hour for her to get us out of the room. Since this was a different person than the one that checked us in we asked her to look at the room we were first given so she would know it had not been cleaned. They did give us 30% off our bill and she was very apologetic. I don't think we should have been charged anything, but after being locked in the room for almost an hour I just wanted to leave and did not argue the point. To say the least Motel 6 will be on my do not stay at list.
