    Jane, I’m very dissatisfied with my experience. I requested a standard room at Canad Inns Fort Garry with either a king or two queen beds. You reserved me a two bedroom suite. As I was trying to correct your mistake you transferred me to a voice mail asking if I want to make a reservation. I do not want this reservation. I want it cancelled and my money refunded. I assumed I was talking to the hotel directly so I called the front desk and they let me know I need to call you at Expedia to cancel my reservation.

    This is the worst company ever to book you a room. First they will book you a room at the worst hotels possible. The hotel will have safety and code violations. The owners of this hotel will not care. You will call Hotel Planner back to escalate and the escalation team will NEVER respond or try to fix the problem. Instead both the hotel owner and Hotel Planner will BLAME THE CUSTOMER 100% for agreeing to the terms.

    Neither Hotel Planner nor the hotel will care about the safety concerns or even offer to book you to another room at a different hotel. Then when you're finally fed up, the hotel owner will talk to Hotel Planner and claim you must pay an extra $40 cash to get another room that you actually paid for that's "safer". This is false advertisement. The company Hotel Planner doesn't even disclose they are a third party reservation company when the contract is made. Hotel Planner falsely represents themselves on the phone. They never state they are not affiliated with the hotel.

    I’ve been staying slat the Fredericksburg inn for 4th of July for the last 4 years. Love it there. Had to make some last minute changes. Very accommodating but did have a little issue finding my original reservation. Zion was helping me. She said she would check it for me and call me back. She was able to locate everything and send me a text back confirming my original reservation number and all the changes within 1 hour.     You will not be getting any help from Melanie, her email address is fake! I just sent her a massage, and got a message stating that there's no such address!

    Horrible website, complicated and confusing! How hard is it to cancel a room that's been booked way in advance and refund or reverse payment?) AND... they charged our card already, for a room booked in October, which I've tried to cancel. I've also called the bogus "help" number... SURPRISE! No answer! And the chat? Nobody's online! Scam!     Dyan was very helpful overall but when I asked about the cancellation policy she neglected to tell me about the one-night charge + fees if I cancel. I opened the email with reservation details while speaking with her and saw it there. When I asked about it, she said she read it in recap. I questioned her, she repeated that she read it in recap, then hung up on me. NOT good customer relations. We have stayed at AmericInn in Rexburg other times and been very pleased, but are not happy with today's transaction.

    I was looking to book one night at the Hilton Garden Pittsford/Rochester NY. I thought I was talking to the hotel. They never said I wasn’t and charged me 150.00 more for the room. Also they charged a BS charge of 26.00 and when I tried to cancel it, the time to cancel had expired in less than 24 hours. They are deceptive and a huge rip-off.

    Booked a hotel - the Waikiki Heritage Hotel - based on the pictures on the website. When I got there it was nothing like the pictures - in this case "heritage" meant old and run down. My problem with Hotelplanner is that they have been stringing me along for a month now - refusing to refund the 2nd night payment. This is deceitful advertising at the very least.

    Was overcharged $169.96 from the time of a stoplight of trying to get into the hotel with the front desk they charged 376. They said should’ve been the charge you guys charge 540 596 was completely pressured by the lady on the phone horrible service will find out exactly what this company is and everything else until the cows come home if I lose $169 Seriously this is just been a horrible experience and your lady that I was on the phone with should be fired literally fired. She pressured and pressured that I have to do this. She’s gonna give my room away. Listen to the transcript. Listen to how pushy she was. You might as well have her pushing drugs on the street corner because she’d be really good at it.

    Extremely disappointed that I would never wanna call this company again and book anything and I would advise everybody.     The gentleman at Hotel Planner we spoke to lied to us 3 times... Please, please call the place you are trying to reserve to find out THE TOTAL cost. We were promised us twice the total cost was 826.00. Then he guaranteed us for the 3rd time this was the full total cost. When we arrived at the resort, they said we owed another 480.00 dollars. We called Hotel Planner and were run around or hung up on at least 5 times. Two other calls we were promised a supervisor would call us right back... still no call back.

    We were stuck in Las Vegas due to a car accident and waiting for repairs. We had to pay another place to stay costing us close to another 1000.00. Finally, 2 or 3 days later, someone send us a text and said we could get a voucher for the money, but it could take up to 5 days... NO HELP TO US!!! TO THIS DAY WE HAVE NOT HEARD OR GOTTEN ANY HELP FROM HOTEL PLANNER. We have had to contact legal advisor.

    I am writing to follow up on a refund promised to me after I made a reservation on May 7th, which turned out to be misrepresented—the listing was advertised as a hotel but was in fact an Airbnb. Within 24 hours of booking, I called to clarify the listing and was assured by your representative that I would receive a full refund within 2–10 business days, despite the non-refundable policy. I was also told the refund ticket would be expedited due to the inaccurate listing.

    It has now been over 17 business days, and I have not received any refund. Additionally, my bank declined the dispute due to the stated cancellation policy. Given that your representative verbally overrode the policy based on false advertising, I've kindly requested them to process the refund immediately and still no feedback.

    I am writing a review against HotelPlanner.com because I was wrongfully charged on a Hotel stay at a Hampton Inn that I sometimes frequent. I booked this stay using a voucher for 1 night that I had from a previous booking in another city and we wanted to stay 2 nights at the Hampton and paid for the 2nd night with my credit card. We received a phone call during the 1st night stay that there were bad storms coming to our hometown so we got up the next morning and checked out instead of staying the extra night that we booked using our credit card. The Hotel front desk lady was gracious enough to call Expedia to request my refund for the extra night and was told we would be getting $160.51 back on the card within 7-10 business days. I called Hotel Planners (aka Expedia) today to check on the status of the refund and was told it was denied and they could not give me reasoning why only that it was denied.

    I feel this whole experience has been shady from the very beginning. I am going next to the BBB to file a complaint and then to Google, and to TripAdvisor to leave more reviews. I will also dispute the charge with my Credit Card company as well. People need to know and the word needs to get out that people need to book using the Hotel's website and then be careful because these 3rd party companies piggy back on their websites making you think you are talking to the Hotel itself all to find out later it's a 3rd party. Very, very shady business practices Hotel Planner. Do Better guys, this is just wrong taking money from the elderly Disabled like this.

    We had a serious emergency at North Central Baptist Hospital that kept us there all night as we were not sure our daughter was going to survive childbirth. At the conclusion of her case at 6:00,a.m. I called to verify our room would be available for us to rest a couple of hours. We were refused, even after paying $170.00.

    This had to do with my stay in West Bend Wisconsin. I had the following issues with my hotel:
    The elevator did not work.
    The thermostat in the room did not work.
    The Exhaust fan did not work.
    The desk chair was torn up.
    The sheer curtains were tattered.

    The front desk was not staffed.

    I asked to have the chair replaced and was told “all our chairs are like that”. Hotel Planner said they would issue a credit voucher due to my bad experience. They said that the credit would be issued within 2-3 business days via email. It has been over a month and no voucher. Now, my follow-up emails are ignored. They don't seem to be interested in customer service.

    I was very much overcharged for this hotel. Plus I was sort of scammed by Jacob **. He quoted a price of $92, then after I agreed, he told me someone had just taken that room and upped the charge to $98. I made sure the facility would accept pets, but he failed to tell me there would be an additional charge of $30 for my pups. The area of town is a bit questionable and there is no way their regular rate would be anything more than $60 in this neighborhood. I’m extremely disappointed in the entire experience.

    Very rude agent. I called to make a booking about 10 PM Pacific time for that evening, because someone in my office forgot to advise me that a specific person would need a room. I was told the price for the room was well over $300, even though when I was online at marriott.com the rate was $189. But for some reason, I was not able to click there so I needed to call to make the booking. Then as we went through the phone call, the agent on the phone was extremely rude, was talking down to me, and was very unhelpful with questions that I had about the booking. Once I made the reservation, he was not able to spell my name correctly to email me the confirmation, but he was able to get a text message through to me and I forwarded that text message onto my boss, who then realized it was for the wrong date.

    I was finally able to get an email to come into me and it showed that I accepted the terms at 12:09 AM central time, but I am in Pacific time, which makes sense that the date was booked incorrectly. I had to call back to the Marriott line and wait on hold for about 20 minutes for nobody to pick up. I hung up and I called back and I explained all of this to the new person and they advised me that I should have just hung up on the first person I spoke with because no one should be talked to as rudely as I was! Again, I have worked in travel, and I don’t believe in hanging up the phone on people, but when it is late at night, and you’re trying to help somebody on the phone, I believe a little bit of respect should be shown both ways!

    Juvenal ** was an absolutely fantastic help in finding us a hotel close by to a wedding we are going today. We were exhausted from flights that were delayed, getting to the airport at 3 am instead of 12 am, which also delayed our rental car pickup. Juvenal booked us a stay at a lovely little hotel/motel and was courteous and super helpful. Extremely professional, unbelievable helpful in getting us a stay an hour closer than the hotel we had initially planned for (which was a bit of a mistake on my part initially) and getting a supervisor involved when we needed to get checked in about 4 and a half hours earlier than the places’ typical check in time.

    Although we did have to wait about 15 minutes once we arrived, the stay provided much needed rest and comfort after being awake for almost 30 hours straight due to all the earlier travel complications.     The customer service representative did not disclose she was a third party and when I asked she lied and said she was the actual hotel. When I called, I thought I called the Hotel directly. When I asked she said it was. She never disclosed I reached a third party. Which is a lie. When we reviewed the rate I then gave my ID number as being part of the rewards via Holiday Inn. She verified that she reduced the price based on being a member but that's very shady to pretend you're something you're not. Especially since we had to travel due to a passing of a family member. I would like to be credited back 25.00 since the real hotel told us the rate was 109.00.

    Marriott Downtown Jacksonville's "solution" to a horrible situation on my last stay, was to send me a $250 voucher to HotelPlanner.com. If they offer you this as a solution, do NOT accept it. It's a scam. "You can select ANY HOTEL worldwide, for ANY STAY DATES that are available to book on HotelPlanner.com/Voucher." it reads, but of course, there's a catch. I have to book and stay within 3 months; I have to pay 100% upfront (I can't even deduct the $250); I have to book via their website; no changes or cancellations allowed; you can only book ONE transaction (so you can't split this across two different reservations). Ready for the punch line? There isn't a SINGLE hotel available until the day BEFORE this voucher expires and it's not even in the United States! It's in the UAE and the price was $849/night! Frankly, I'd have been happier if Marriott had just told me to kiss off to my face than deal with this garbage.

    HTP website lies and they refuse to return calls. I called when I got to the hotel on 4//24/25 at 11 am and was told someone would get back to me asap.     The Hotel Planner rep did not disclose they were not the hotel. Did not disclose that full amount of reservation would be immediately charged to my card and that despite cancelling the next day they withheld one night cost for all rooms reserved —over $7,000—and for the last 15 days I have been futilely trying to get my money back. The customer service reps hang up on you, each one says something different — a real challenge. Will never use them again—their policies are misleading, they do not accurately disclose practices when making reservations and are evasive in trying to resolve problems.

    Thank you for your response and for allowing us the opportunity to review this for you. We were able to locate your reservation in our system and we show that you have disputed the charge for your reservation, and once a reservation is disputed we are locked out of the account or "charge" for 90-120 days. If you have a letter from your bank/credit card holder stating the dispute is withdrawn, we can make the request for the dispute review to be closed early.

    This is what needs to be included in the dispute closed letter, which is emailed to ChargeReview@HotelPlanner.com // CC: Melanie.Planelles@HotelPlanner.com.

    1. MUST be a screenshot of a message in the bank’s online messaging portal or a photo of a letter on bank letterhead (Cannot be a forwarded email from a bank rep)
    2. MUST state cardholder dropped or withdrew the dispute
    3. MUST include the following info, which must match the charge info:
    · Cardholder name
    · Last four digits of the card

    · Amount of dispute

    If you can present this documentation, we can work to have your dispute closed earlier, but we cannot promise approval. We will contact you with a status update as soon as we hear back from the merchant of record for this booking.

    This place is terrible. My wife booked on 4/27. Today is 4/30 a room to attend a wedding 30 days in the future. Refund protection was purchased and plans have changed. We asked for a refund HotelPlanner canceled our room but now says we still have to pay the full price. Incredible, room rate went from $190.00 a night to $399.00 with all of the inflated taxes and refund protection which was useless. Do Not use this company they suck and will rip you off.

    I requested a jacuzzi suite. Got to the hotel and reservation was not honored because jacuzzi suite was not booked by HotelPlanner. Paid hotel a higher rate than what was shown and received a voucher from HotelPlanner for the problem. Made the same request this weekend and stressed jacuzzi suite and paid a small premium for the jacuzzi suite after using the provided voucher from the prior stay. Got to the hotel, same result. Not only was reservation not honored, but the jacuzzi suite was booked by another party. In both instances HotelPlanner agent allegedly called the hotel to arrange for the jacuzzi suite prior to my acceptance of the terms of the reservation and subsequent payment. Ended up staying at another establishment last night. My experience with HotelPlanner was a waste of time and money. I believe I was deliberately misled, certainly on the second reservation. Caveat emptor.

    On my way back home from a week abroad, I needed an unexpected hotel due to exhaustion, pouring rain and a time change. Emmanuel’s hotel was full when I called en route, but he went the extra mile, checking available hotels along my route and in my budgets. He even booked the room for me over the phone! 15 minutes later I was checked in. This kind of service rarely happens!

    When we booked the hotel we were told that it has a pool and an elevator. I had my disabled mother in law with me and she had to climb the stairs instead of using her wheelchair. Also there was absolutely no pool for my kids. When we booked it I let him know we have 3 adults and 2 kids. When we arrived at the hotel they had the reservation for one person. The hotel kept my deposit since I had "extra people" even tho it was supposed to be reserved for as many as I had.

    Hugo was very informative and answered questions that I had concerning booking online and through the IHG app. I always book my room through the app but was informed if you do not receive a confirmation after booking with a booking agency, your room may not be guaranteed.     Was told during check-in there would be free breakfast. There was not. Upon checking in the front smelled like cigarettes and trash. Could not sleep. People next door were so loud it got very annoying. I definitely would not recommend staying here especially for the price.
