    She did not give me the best price and did not ask if I wanted the protection plan, but added it. She overcharged me for a room. She did not tell me the reservation was non refundable. She also represented herself like she was at The Embassy Suites. I thought I was talking to the direct hotel. I even got transferred to sales to book my conference room.

    Not sure how I reached Jonathan with HotelPlanner.com when booking my stay at the Priory Hotel in Pittsburgh for a wedding. I believed I had called the hotel directly. The number I called was in the Pittsburgh area code, so I assumed I had reached the hotel. (Huge error in my part.) He said he found the couple’s reservation block and proceeded to “help” me with my booking. I asked for a room with a king bed and he said there were two left and that I could get one. My credit card was charged $284 which I thought was exorbitant, but having no knowledge about the hotel, I thought that was the rate. We arrived on Saturday, March 7 for our stay, wound up in in the tiniest, most uncomfortable room ever.

    I voiced my concern to the Front Desk Associate who informed me I had booked through Expedia which is connected to Hotel Planner. Upon examining my invoice for the reservation, I discovered a $96 charge for tax recovery and fees. Lesson learned—make sure 200% that I am indeed connected to the actual hotel and not a third party. I am not all pleased with the business practice of Hotel Planner and DO NOT recommend them when booking any type of travel.

    When calling to make a reservation for conference, I was unaware that I was working with a 3rd party and not the hotel directly. As a disabled adult, with vision and hearing impairments, my expectations were that my needs would be met with integrity regardless of which entity addressed my needs and this has not been the case. Upon discovering a prepaid charge of close to $4000 being processed on my credit card account a few days later, I immediately reached out to what turned out to be HotelPlanner.com regarding this entire process, especially since the $4000 charge includes a hefty amount of close to $200/night in "taxes & recovery fees" on top of an elevated room rate.

    At this time, I was informed that the nearly $4000 charge (for what should have cost less when booking with the hotel directly) was allegedly a non-refundable transaction, so a ticket was created to have the reservation cancelled and a refund request submitted. Instead, despite explaining the misunderstanding, a voucher that I never agreed to and will never use was offered. I am completely dissatisfied with the services provided and am requesting a full refund due to what feels like a fraudulent exchange of information.

    This is a scam, so was directed to this number through a website acting as if they are the hotel. I was charge $100 over the daily rate. When I called the hotel I learned the parking and breakfast claimed to be part of the reservation are not and there is an additional cost. When I called back to cancel I was told it is refundable, this was not shared during the call and I have asked for the call to be reviewed.

    Your service rep blatantly lied to us regarding our inquiry for reservation and was posing as if she was the actual hotel we were booking with. Never once did she disclose that she was a third-party booking agent and stepped around questions that would have made that determination clear. She said parking was included when it was not. Increased in our cost of stay by additional $160. We Specifically told that individual parking costs were important to us in our determination for booking and again flat out lied to me. The website used to call for the reservation inquiry, blatantly looking to pose as a legitimate hotel itself, and your practices are shameful and illegal.

    I am several days into trying to receive a refund for my hotel stay. I have continued to receive the run around with customer service on the phone. The agents explained that I will be able to receive a FULL REFUND to my credit card as requested by me (not a voucher or credit on an account) once the hotel accepted the cancellation. The hotel DID approve this and still nothing. I received a voucher/credit. We never discussed a voucher. We only discussed a full refund once the hotel approved. The "escalation team" is supposed to be getting back to me AGAIN. I'm not sure the escalation team is a real thing at this point? I will never use this site again - I feel like this site is a scam. Customer service and verbal agreements should mean something - especially with desiring return customers and word of mouth.

    THIS company is a FRAUD. I booked a hotel room for 3 nights at gave my debit card to put down a deposit. HotelPlanner immediately drained my checking account of the entire amount - $1500- and when I raised a concern and objection with my bank, HotelPlanner claimed that gave them the right to cancel my room altogether and keep the money! I emailed the company more than a dozen times. Contacted them on Twitter. Called repeatedly. Reported them to the BBB. But they refuse to give me back my funds - and sent me multiple emails lying to me and telling me that the hotel had cancelled my reservation! BEWARE of this company. Call the hotel DIRECTLY. They are SCAM ARTISTS.

Once completed and the call ended, and I printed off my email reservation, I saw that I was charged in US $$, I booked a Canadian hotel, I have a Canadian address (which I supplied in full to the reservations person) and I paid with a Canadian credit card.     Very frustrating experience reserving our room. It took about 1/2 hour on the phone. My email was incorrect when read back to me. When I corrected it, it kept on being read back incorrectly. I felt it was on a recorder. When she pressed on, it was as if she was over-riding my voice so that we could wrap it up. When she was actually talking to me, she was polite and acknowledged my frustration with the email issues. But honestly the longest part of the whole process was getting my email correct. I would hesitate to call Comfort Inn reservation line again to book a room. I couldn't find a phone # for the hotel online. So if there is no other choice, I would look for a different hotel chain.

    While I found your AI agent conversational (with a Southern accent no less) I was dissatisfied with the overall experience. It took three times as long as it would have with a human agent. While it was a conversational voice when it went to confirm my information the voice was so stilted I could barely understand it. Because of this my email was recorded wrong and I never got the email confirmation which caused me to call the hotel and they had no record of the reservation which made me concerned. Ultimately when we showed up it was there but I didn’t need that stress and it wasted more of my time. I asked them to be sure and include my Hilton Honors number. It said it got it but it was not included. Once at the hotel I had to correct all the errors in the reservation. Overall a very poor experience.

    I am submitting this complaint to formally report misrepresentation during the booking process, resulting in unexpected charges and financial harm. I was told over the phone that I was receiving the best available rate for a room and that there would be no issues at check-in, and that all I would need was my ID. I was charged $90 for a room that is only $65 total when booked directly through the hotel. The individual I spoke with, Orlando, explicitly represented himself as working for Days Inn. I asked directly whether he was affiliated with the hotel, and he stated that he was with the hotel’s reservations department. At check-in, I was informed that the reservation was not made through Days Inn, but through a third-party company. At no point during the call was Hotel Planner or any third-party booking service disclosed.

    Additionally, I asked whether the hotel was pet-friendly and was told yes. I was not informed that there would be an additional $70 pet fee charged at check-in. I am currently homeless, and the $90 charged was my last available money to secure safe shelter for the night. Misrepresentation of affiliation, failure to disclose third-party involvement, and omission of mandatory fees constitute a serious lack of transparency. I specifically requested to book directly with the hotel to avoid third-party complications, and that request was ignored. Referring to this booking as a “deal” is misleading, as it resulted in a charge nearly $30 higher than the hotel’s direct rate. I am requesting a review of your booking practices to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

    IT'S A SCAM. I booked a room through this website for two nights. I got to my hotel on the check in date, and the clerk had no knowledge of my stay.     This is a very deceitful company. They made me believe that they were actually embassy suites. Hotel, they were not, they ended up charging me $207, and some change, which was actually more than what the actual price was at embassy suites. I know that because I confirmed the price at embassy suites. For that day. They charged me $207 and some change, and the actual price with taxes and fees at Embassy Suites was $166.00 with tax included. They are very deceitful. If you are supposed to be a discount hotel rate service provider, you cannot charge more than what the actual hotel charges.

    HotelPlanner is a SHAM and a SCAM!!! I intended to book a room directly with a hotel, but accidentally called HotelPlanner, which masqueraded as the hotel. When I called back minutes later to cancel, I was told they would only refund ~$90 of a ~$290 bill because it was past the free refund date, which was actually the day before I booked. When I called, the CSR agreed to refund the entire amount, but, now, days later, only the $90 is being refunded. This is essentially robbery!

    The hits I was looking at had a pool, restaurant, pet-friendly and multi-room suites. He told me that one was completely booked, but he would find me a comparable one. He completely failed. The ”king Suite” he booked me in, barely has enough room in it for my luggage, the bathroom and shower are super small. There’s no pool, there is no restaurant, and there is not even a tub in the suite and being nonrefundable through this company, I am stuck with it for the night! Thanks a lot!

    I called from a landline and got an automated reservation. Made a reservation made for Feb.27. They quoted me $119.00 plus tax. When I got my confirmation, bill was $162.00 with no cancellation. And said I made it online. If I had made it online, I would have seen the no cancellation. I immediately called back to try to cancel. I have made at least 10 calls and they just keep giving me more numbers to call. I now put a dispute with my credit card, and now they are saying I have to cancel my dispute to resolve this.     I called this number because that’s the number that came up for Normandy Farms and I stated to the agent that I spoke to that the reason I was calling was because I had been trying to book on their website at Normandy Farms and the guest code for the wedding I was attending was not working, she said yes sometimes they don’t work well online. I proceeded to give her the name of the wedding party and the code that I had and she made it seem like she was accessing the Normandy farms direct booking not that she was a third-party. She gave me a rate cheaper than the rate that I saw on their website without the wedding guest code so I assumed that was the wedding guest discount. When she told me the total at the end, it was $299 which I thought was a little high but I thought maybe there were other taxes and fees that I didn’t know about.

    I went back to the Normandy Farms wedding venue site to look at booking a room without the code and it was cheaper, not even having a code than what I was given by this agent, which then made me realize that this was not an agent from the hotel as she had said she was and I was paying some other fees. Booking directly on their website without the wedding guest code would have been $259.26 in total .As a wedding guest, my total should’ve been $235 with all fees included. I would like a refund for the difference of $64.00 that I was overcharged under false representation or a cancellation and full refund of the reservation.

    I called what I thought was the number for Home 2 Suites in N Charleston to make a reservation for one night using a code given for a block of rooms that were held for the event I was attending. I was never told it was a booking agency I was dealing with. The group price I was given was for 2 queen beds at rate of $94.00. What I ended up with was a king suite! When I told them it was supposed to be a queen room and I needed to change or modify the room, I was told I would be charged for one night! I had to cancel 2 DAYS BEFORE THE RESERVATION WAS MADE!!!! Seriously???

    Then they told me it was not through the group rate but an individual reservation. I have been deceived and feel this should be able to be cancelled without charge so the correct reservation can be made!! I will never recommend this company because they use deceptive practices. My receipt shows refund protection offered and declined. That is not true! If it was offered, it was not presented clearly!

    This person is a liar. The room she booked for us was a lie. She misrepresented everything in this room and lied about cancellation policy. Do not book with this company. It’s a rip off.     First, I was told that they needed to contact the hotel. Second, I was told they couldn’t get through. Third, I was told they would reach the hotel and call me back in 15 minutes — that was six days ago, and I still have no resolution. The most recent response from the “support team” was that they are having technical issues.

    I prepaid for a Queen/Queen Larger Room, but after speaking directly with the hotel, I learned that a Double/Double was booked instead. Despite speaking with support five times over the last several weeks, I have not received the promised follow-ups, and I’m now being told that I “just have to wait.” It’s extremely important that the correct room type be confirmed now because we have extended our stay and made additional arrangements directly with the hotel for another night in the same room type. The hotel has advised that HotelPlanner.com must correct the room type from Double/Double to Queen/Queen Larger or the prepaid room may not be available.

    I also purchased the Refund Protection Plan because at the time of booking my mother's health was failing, so there was a possibility I would have had to cancel my trip. Sadly she has since passed away. The Refund Protection Plan Number is **. Please address this matter immediately. I have been patient and cooperative, but the lack of resolution and communication has become unacceptable. Thank you.
