We are coming up to Silverthorne for birthday celebration and Mother’s Day this Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10th. Michael was very helpful at getting us the rooms at the indigo for my wife and myself and my son. My other son lives down the street so everything seems to be convenient and we appreciate it very much and hopefully we’ll stay there again someday if all works out because it’s kind of hard to get rooms in that area these days but anyway thank you Michael for a spectacular job and maybe we’ll meet you someday.

Reservation agent not very friendly, very short in answering our questions about the hotel. She didn’t check discounts, it was just a NO for everything we asked! She told us that this hotel was not pet friendly, we had to correct her and tell her that online it stated that it was, she did verify that it was after all…She was in a hurry the whole time.

Worst Customer Service ever. Absolutely unbelievable. Tell you one thing and never follow up. When you think you’re going to get a refund on a cancellation they tell you they put together a voucher and never got the voucher or a credit. This place is a joke. Can’t believe they’re still in business. The people that answer your call seem nice but after a while, you just begin to feel like you’re being played. And if you try and cancel a reservation that was prepaid, they refused to credit your card. They say they do but then they issue a voucher that you have to use on their site again even if you don’t want to use their site and it’s overpriced. Highly recommend you stay away …. Positive reviews have probably been purchased by this company to make them look good. We say this based on several phone calls regarding the same issue and at least an hour each time just to end in frustration and no results.

I called to make reservations. The representative was cheerful and helpful making those reservations. My hearing is not the best so I had to ask her to repeat instructions more than once. She was polite and didn’t seem to be bothered at all. Overall, a very good experience. The name of the representative was: Jamaica **.

I was very satisfied with the beginning of this with the operator setting the reservation. That all was great. Now that said. The room was inadequate for my stay. I stayed but was very unsatisfied with the room's look and location. It was very old and looked like it was ready for an overhaul of everything. The bed, furniture and the entire room was very outdated. I was looking forward to a comforting and relaxing night. I paid a lot of money for one night and I don't think it was worth what was paid.

Catharine was very friendly, but she was off shift when we arrived. I have metal knees and hips and a problem that causes my legs to stop working, she promised a ground floor....but it was 2nd floor. We have been on the road since 8 am. We are in our 70s. We would tell younger friends it is nice.

Horrible experience…. Pulled into the parking lot and seen a woman getting aggressively beat up by a man…. Continuous fighting outside to the point that if kept us up all night….Hard drug activity at the office door… bugs in the room… windows wouldn’t lock. Very unsatisfied.…

The Representative was polite, professional and patient. Unfortunately at the time my hearing aids were a hindrance 🙄 (never fails) but she was patient with me as I kept asking her to repeat herself. I am so grateful for her patience. I’ve had experiences with other Customer Service agents at other companies that weren’t as courteous… She is special. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name. Hopefully your system can track the transaction. 5 STARS.

At time of reservation, only criteria was a room to accommodate 3 adults in one room with 2 Queen and a pullout couch. When agent made reservation, she confirmed twice that the room could accommodate our request. At checkin, they said the hotel did not have pullout couches. We were forced to rent another room at a significant additional cost.

This is a scam. I booked through what I thought was the Hilton Site but it had a fake phone number. When I received my confirmation it was not for the correct Hilton. I have spent many hours trying to get a refund for my reservation. The site claims I chose a non-refundable option. However, the agent I spoke to offered a voucher. She sent me an email to receive the voucher but then wanted me to read the # to her. I did but she claims it wouldn't work. Then she was going to call me back. She didn't. Beware and check the URL before you book. SCAM!!!!

Al canceled my reservation that l booked in March for May. That sucked. Trying to get my money back is not easy. Most the agents do not speak English very well. It was not my fault. I had to go to the hotel desk to get a new reservation. And it was cheaper by $100.00. Wished I went there instead Hotel planner. I don’t know if I will get all my money back. I’ve been on the phone for a couple of hours now. I don’t want part of my money, I want all my money.

The first time I arrived there it was five o'clock in the morning. The lobby was locked. I call to ask can I use the bathroom. The man said we couldn’t use the bathroom. Only for guests. Well I thought I was a guest even though my check in time was at three that evening so we waited until two o'clock and went to the front desk and talk to the lady. She was very very helpful so in overall it was ok.

Never refunded my entire money for a reservation that was canceled 2 months in advance. $156.81 never received. I have bank statements to prove it. The cancelation policy states I'm supposed to get my entire refund. Still haven't got it. Talked to multiple agents, still not resolved. Never again will I use a third party agent. NEVER!!

Your operator failed to tell me they worked for Hotel Planner. I thought I was talking to Everspring Inn & Suites directly and your employee Alex misdirected me which ended up costing me $150 than what the hotel would have charged. This is piracy and I would appreciate a refund for your lies.

I needed to find a pet-friendly hotel in the Gassaway area of WV for my daughter traveling from Kentucky to Maryland. I am not familiar with the area and live in Maryland. In any case Nesarie was extremely helpful. She located a hotel less than 20 miles away, pet friendly that had availability. My daughter just called from the hotel and is very impressed with the hotel and the area overall. Thanks.

The customer support staff member was super helpful and quickly helped us find a hotel that accepted pets. All was good until the end and her system did not take the reservation. However, I with the hotel reservation customer service and when I checked in I had TWO reservations which caused a big problem. She was wonderful. Your system is awful and now I am dealing with 2 charges. Your system should not have told her the reservation did not go through but you did send it through and charged me the reservation. For that reason, an awful experience. Will never use your service again. However, she gets 5 stars!

Very calm, the staff is very welcoming and nice to talk with even in casual conversations, design is beautiful inside and out, smoking area is small but refreshing, breakfast was delicious. 😋 Also excellent sign up process, beds are super soft. Also a white padded head board hardish but soft for the most part.

When I spoke with Mark and made the reservation I told him I was traveling on state of Wisconsin business and could not be charged taxes. He didn’t listen to me and charged me the taxes and now the state finance department is after me to get the taxes refunded. I called a few days after the stay and the person I spoke with said that they would be removed and I would get a new receipt. So far that hasn’t happened. Very poor service and handling of this reservation.

There needs to be something in the Computer/ System that locks in Discounts for U.S. Servicemembers and Veterans and their Spouses, Children. Jolynn was very helpful and informative. Professional and courteous. I rate her work highly. However, as she was trying to finish my reservation, she said she was having trouble with her computer, said was going to transfer me to another rep, without giving me any confirmation on my reservation, she didn’t make sure the transfer went thru. I feel like I was mislead as a senior citizen. I was referred to another hotel because the one I requested was full and she told me it was right next to the other. It is not and the price is very high and not up to the quality- the added fees and taxes are 40% if the total. There is no breakfast. I am very disappointed and it says I cannot cancel. I feel bait and switch was pulled on me and would like this remedied. Thank you.

I believe this number is a scam. I was booking the Holiday in in Boardman, Ohio and Anna Lynn told me that the confirmation or the amount of $289.12 is refundable up until July 10 at 6 PM. I could cancel for free however when I got my confirmation it said it was the cobblestone hotel in Orville, Ohio, which is an hour and a half away from Boardman.
I didn’t book the cobblestone, but yet my confirmation says the cobblestone hotel and when I called back for a refund, they did not want to give it to me saying that there was a penalty for canceling my one night stay which Annalyn told me I had up until 6 PM on July 10 to cancel so I am extremely upset. I don’t think she knows what she’s talking about. I mentioned that Cox‘s wedding that we were coming for and she acted like she knew what it was all about but yet nobody has a record of that so I do believe it’s a scam and I will contact my credit card company if I don’t see a refund of $289.12 within the next five days.

This experience was horrible. I called to talk to someone but instead got a very lifeline sounding automated system. I asked for a suite and was told none were available so I booked what AI said was available. I had to repeat my email and other information multiple times yelling into the phone before it understood. Frustrating. Then after I booked unchecked on line to find a suite was available. Why wouldn’t it let me book? Then I called and asked for support call and finally a real person who was able to book what I originally wanted. What a waste of time, frustration, and energy. Also could have been lost sale opportunity for company. Why? Get rid of these BOTs who don’t help.

The woman with whom I spoke with yesterday night to reserve my hotel was very helpful. I had initially told her that I was looking to pay for a hotel in cash and pay as I checked into the hotel, but she checked several hotels in the area that I wanted and none were available that way. When I told her I was okay with booking online, she took my information promptly and made sure a spot was reserved for me in the area I wanted, and at the hotel I first requested. She was very helpful and easy to talk to.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, I reached out to Hotel Planner to reserve a room for me and my wife at the Holiday Inn Six Flags in Eureka, Missouri for May 15 -17. On Sunday, April 12, I was reviewing my credit card statement and noticed that two charges came through on card of $754 & $747. When I looked at the transactions, I noticed that I was being charged for 2 rooms.
On Monday, I immediately reached out to the customer service number on the Hotel Confirmation (1-888-972-9163) and found it was disconnected. I then called the number that I made my reservation on (1-636-223-8934) and was able to talk to a customer service person, who explained to me that I would have to talk to the hotel to get a refund. I then reached out to the hotel and was told that since the reservation was made through Hotel Planner, I would need to contact them for a refund.
I explained to them that I tried to resolve but they pushed the responsibility to the Hotel. Holiday Inn then provided me with a number of (1-855-437-8999) where I could escalate the issue to a manager at Hotel Planner. Upon reaching out, I was greeted by an AI Attendant who provided me with a partial refund of $956 of $1,501 total paid.
This left an unrefunded amount of $544.79, which I found out on the call was held back as a cancellation fee. Had I known at the time of booking that 30% of the total charges would be held back as a cancellation fee, I never would have made the booking. This practice is unscrupulous and preys on unsuspecting consumers. Needless to say, I tried to argue the point with a "Live" person but was only passed to different AI Attendants....what a way for a company to conduct business, especially in an industry where customer service is so important.
So, I will try to get a resolution with my bank and by filing complaints with the Attorney Generals in Missouri and Florida, where Hotel Planner operates. Please check the reviews for Hotel Planner, before doing business with them. You'll find numerous complaints about their cancellation policy. Save yourself some time and frustration and dial direct to the hotel to make your reservations.

Shady at best! Of course they know this already! Called the hotel's # and was connected to a Hotelplanner.com agent. Who never indicated I was not speaking to the Super 8 by Wyndham that I believed I was contacting. When questioned they lied. When about check in policies, they lied. When told they would provide best price and make certain my check in concern was addressed by reserving directing on that call, I said I have better rates in my 3rd party app. When I phoned the number back after I realized the scam, Patrick refused to say whom he was employed by. He denied working for a 3rd party. Yet he does. He then made bizarre statements like, "I can see you are checked in. I know your phone number. I can see you," and then hung up on me. Talk about unprofessional and sketchy behaviors!! Appalled that this is connected to Wyndham Hotels.

I called to reschedule the arrival date, and the AI assistant "Justin" that answers call cancelled the entire reservation even though I had said "do not cancel". After multiple phone calls and about 4 hours on the phone I was told there is nothing they can do to fix this and I would have to pay triple of what the original cost was due to price fluctuations. They would not honor the original price that was agreed upon months in advance and just kept giving the same response "we are sorry for your inconvenience". If you want horrible customer service, this is the group that you should go through.

My husband Googled the hotel where we have stayed several times when visiting Fayetteville, Arkansas to make a reservation for three nights this week. He dialed the number that was associated with the information Google provided for that specific hotel and thought he was speaking directly with the hotel desk. Turns out it was an AI "person" who sounded and performed just like an actual person and did not identify herself as a third party booking agency. Near the end of the call, she tried to get him to spend an additional $70 for our reservation that already included over $200 in additional charges. But then, due to a computer difficulty, she transferred the call to another AI "person" who completed the reservation. Less than 12 hours later, we received notice of a sudden death in the family we were planning to visit and so our trip is not going to happen.
My husband called the number associated with the Reservation Confirmation and the call was answered by the AI "person" who transferred him to another AI "person" who finally transferred his call to a live body. He was told he would still have to pay because the entire reservation was "No Cancellations". And, he was informed that the reservation was made with a third party agency and the best they could do was a voucher for use at another time. Another Consumer Affairs reviewer described this tactic as extortion and a scam. I agree wholeheartedly. Additionally, the use of AI "people" who sound and perform at such a high level that it is not obvious to the caller that they are not a live body is deceptive. This is an immediate disadvantage to older adults that are a bit slower in hearing and understanding.
We have alerted our credit card company about the pending charges and are disputing them. And now that we know who this agency is, we are aware of the many others that have been faced with the same issue. Going forward WHEN MAKING A HOTEL RESERVATION WE WILL FIRST ASK IF THEY ARE THE FRONT DESK AND IF THEY ARE A LIVE PERSON. We live in a day where you cannot trust that who you are speaking to is who you intended to call because the "person" on the other end of the line is probably not a live body and is not going to volunteer that information if they can make a quick buck by remaining silent.

I would give a 0 if I could. Representative lied after repeatedly clarifying what I wanted. I requested a one room, 2 bedroom suite. I ended up with a one room suite for almost double the amount had I booked through the hotel. Representative also lied about the cancellation policy. There are certain cancellation reason codes. You just cannot cancel because you are no longer going to use the room. In certain cases you must produce doctor's notes or event cancellation documentation. You cannot even cancel because they misrepresented and lied. I have called multiple times requesting supervisors and to no avail. I even asked that they go back and review the recording. Terrible Service!

The automated system was very frustrating. When calling to cancel a booking done with two separate hotels, both were cancelled. I had to call the hotel directly who could provide me a room that I now paid twice for. I am five days in to speak with someone who can get my refund back. I get the same it is not refundable speech every time. Even though I did not cancel but the AI system did. I know AI is good for many things, but this was not one of them.

My apologies for the late review. Edgardo is the single best customer service rep I’ve experienced in my 53 years. I would recommend he have a more significant role there before you lose him. He confronted me about my parking a large work truck in a professional manner. I'm not always an easy guy to confront. Advised me to park in more appropriate space as the truck could have obstructed handicapped people on the sidewalk. Additionally Edgardo recommended one of the bars onsite and had only good things to say about the property.

I would give 0 stars if I could. After the agent verbally confirmed my hotel dates of 6/21-24, I received 3 email confirmations: 2 for 6/22-24 and 1 for 6/21-22. The agent was so incompetent he booked 3 reservations, 2 of which were duplicates. I then spent an hour with a different agent and cancelled all reservations. I will never work with this organization again. I rebooked the same hotel myself in 2 minutes online.

I had to cancel my room for the 19th of February because we had our truck breakdown. The guy on the phone told me we would be getting a refund in 7-10 business days. I waited and still nothin. He never did cancel that room and now I don’t get my refund. So my experience was horrible!

I was sidelined with this reservation and grossly overcharged. I was required to pay extra for a refundable reservation. I was informed by another rep the reservation cannot be canceled!! I mentioned I wanted a full refund if I canceled the reservation. The rep confirmed. I have reported the issue. I have requested an audit of my conversation with the rep who I voiced all my concerns with. My credit card is already debited. I will dispute the charge. I want a full refund immediately.

My wife called the hotel, and the call was taken over by HotelPlanner.com. Which has additional fees of over $150 above the normal hotel taxes in Stubenville, Ohio, which are $14.00. Within 30 minutes I called back to cancel the reservations, but was still charged for one night, which was $216.00. I would call this extortion. I would not recommend anyone using the service voluntarily. Careful check the call to make sure it has not been hijacked by this service. I will also be making a consumer complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's Office to get these kinds of predatory services banned.

I have had the worst possible experience with HotelPlanner.com. First, I did not directly seek a reservation through this entity. I called a Marriott property in St. Louis (TownPlace) and made a reservation by phone. I specifically asked if any penalty would accrue if I had to cancel since I was trying to coordinate schedules with 5 other individuals. I was assured there would be no penalty.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel the reservation within 2 hours of making it. Then the nightmare began! When I called TownPlace back, I was referred to a Marriott link. The link did not recognize the reservation number! The next day, I saw in my email a "Reservation Cancellation Plan" I had NOT knowingly purchased. I did click on the "Refund Request" tab, but nothing happened.
I have been going back and forth through emails since October 2025 trying to get my refund -- getting nowhere. Finally, I spoke with someone at HotelPlanner (after realizing that Marriott was not involved at all). The best I was offered was a voucher for future reservation or a 50% refund of the $875.91 my account was charged. I am a senior citizen on fixed income. A charge like this is a blow to my limited budget. I continue to pay interest and an increased monthly payment to my credit card company for this charge. My only fault was calling TownPlace and being routed to a third party without my knowledge. I really feel that I have been ripped off; this third-party scheme seems very unfair. I am now leery of ever making a reservation at any hotel lest I be implicated in such a scheme without my knowledge. The price is too high!

The price online was $87 for a queen room with 2 queen beds for 2 adults. I called instantly and was put thru to you within 25 seconds and you told me the price was now $131.84 not the $87 shown online. You also put us as checking in as 3/21 and checking out as 3/22 when I told you 3 times that we would not arrive before 1 am so we would be checking in on 3/22 and checking out on 3/22 same day around 6 am so was only staying about 5 hours total. You did not care. You was not the least bit concerned.
You did nothing to rectify the situation between the price difference shown online vs what you charged me. I mean that was a huge difference. You just stated that room was no longer available. So I guess in that 25 seconds somebody took it, ya right. Even if that was true why would the same room be different prices anyway? I would have went with a different hotel had I known this. That is false advertisement!!! That is very bad business! You better believe I will tell everyone about this and hope they won't ever use your hotel! Your customer service was the worst I have ever had. Well actually there wasn't any customer service from you. None!

My aunt is celebrating her 90th birthday in Pulaski, Tenn. It was important to me to get as many of my Indiana family to this as possible. I wanted to stay at Hampton Inn but they were booked that weekend but I was connected to another reservation site which said it could help me with my hotel needs. I talked to Joeleen, March the 6 and we discussed a good deal on two rooms, but I was not sure. I made calls to other places, but decided to call your business back. I didn't get the name of the person I talked to but she gave me a rate that was too good to refuse; 50% off on the whole reservation. That would have been 2 nights, two rooms.
I am familiar with Pulaski so I know that there is a Giles County Quality Inn and a Quality Inn (formerly known as Richland Inn). Both of them or on College Street, less than a block apart. Quality Inn was an incredible place 30 years ago, but the rooms are not as nice as they were and now there is a solar panel (?) that stretches across the parking lot. When I was there the last time, there was a road crew grilling two doors from my room. So I was happy when she mentioned Giles County Quality Inn. Not knowing what the piece of each room was I knew I could not go wrong with 50% off. So I gave her my card number, got the reservations for 2 rooms and the promise that I could cancel anytime before March 27. I don't recall anything about penalty for early cancellation.
I have since been corrected about many things. I have been booked at Quality Inn, not Giles County Quality Inn. I see that each room was $98.99 a night or $255.74 with taxes and other charges. That is $511.48 for both rooms. What happened to my 50% discount? That would have been $255.74 total. Then I noticed that my account was charged $255.74 twice. I think this happened because of the two reservations: ** and **.
When I called about this problem Sunday, they kind of listened to my problem but offered no solution. They were almost clear that if I canceled, I would be charged for the room. How many rooms or nights were not mentioned. This is where I stand. I don't see many more choices in the area so Quality Inn would have to be acceptable. However, I want my 50% discounts for the rooms and if I cancel, I should receive the $511.48 that was taken out of my account. Please respond as soon as possible. I need that time I have left to make other arrangements.

I was pleasantly surprised to have recieved excellent support from the person I spoke with. I was in need of a one-night stay at a late hour and had no luck with 2 other hotels. I had been turned down with a simple, "Sorry, we are booked." When the assistant spoke with me, she ran into some booked-out spots but kept checking until she found one that was close, inexpensive, and available. She made my reservation quickly, and I am in my room getting set for tomorrow's rescheduled flight. Many thanks.

This experience was awful! I was talking to an AI assistant the whole time that kept cutting me off! I asked for a real person and they said they were real! I know they weren't. Also they got the wrong night so I had to call the hotel front desk and she was very helpful. I am very frustrated and I will not use this service again!

Angel ** was extremely helpful, considerate and very nice. MN is scheduled for a blizzard and she helped me cancel one day at the Days Inn in South Carolina and make a new reservation without paying for two days. I was on hold for 55 minutes but she didn’t forget me and called me back and resolved us perfectly. Please reward her as an excellent employee at Hotels.com!

I found a great rate on Priceline but I wanted to check in earlier than 3pm so I contacted this representative. He told me booking with him I would be able to get an early check in but not by booking online. I went ahead & completed the reservation with him at a cost of $75 more but worth it to me to check in early because I had just driven 14 hours. I arrived at the hotel & was told I could not check in early so she cancelled my reservation. Not happy with this service.

We needed to add another night to our reservation due to the expected severe weather tomorrow night. He tried to book a room such that we would not have to move rooms... but did a nice job of explaining the hotel's policies which limited his ability to accommodate our request. Personally, I think we should have been able to switch room size (at our expense) to avoid having to move rooms. Oh well!

Camilo told me next hotel with inexpensive rate $146.29 WAS PET FRIENDLY AND I (I AM IN ILLINOIS), paid for my daughter’s hotel room and Uber ride and they do not accept pets, It’s 10:45 pm Illinois time, are they supposed to sleep on the street? Want a manager to call and if I do not answer being a government facility, leave me a voicemail **.

So I "Called" to the Marriott in Myrtle Beach and unfortunately I had to cancel that same day. I called back and was assured the cancellation was within the time frame and it was cancelled. Dumb me believed them until I got my credit card bill for over 700 dollars. I talked directly to the hotel today and they were very helpful in looking into the records and that my reservation was actually cancelled. The hotel received NO money and that I never stayed there. So my question would be WHO took my money. Only once place could have taken it and that would have to be Hotel Planner. My advice is stay away from this shady organization. Thanks for NOTHING.

Alex was was very helpful and made sure that we could find the actual location of the hotel on a Google Map. It was critical to me that it was actually located in Silver city right next to Porcupine State Park versus the address, saying in the town of Ontonagon, Michigan.

Of all the people and robots I have spoken to over the last two months, finally, someone who knows what they are doing. I have endured so much stress over this situation it is unbelievable! I am so sorry, but my communications with the three agents I have spoken to about my refund for an accidental booking has been completely frustrating. I don't understand why a simple re-credit to our credit card fof $321.27 cannot be done. Instead, I have to jump through hoops by being offered a voucher, then having to reject the voucher to get the refund. It's confusing and aggravating. I do hope I can get that refund. Maybe at that time I can give better feedback.

Very nice young man. Courteous and encouraging, he made booking reservations a good experience. Our first phone call was cut off and my second call was with an AI voice. I was told there were no rooms at this particular hotel. We have stayed here several times and it was my preferred choice. When I called back I got Alfredo again and was very pleased that I could book the rooms I wanted for our family to assist us with my husband’s kidney transplant.

This platform has potential to be useful for hotels, but their "product managers" are very unprofessional and unreliable. I have reached out to Liz ** several times over the past month and have NEVER received a response back. I even tried calling her number and was sent to her voicemail every single time, without even hearing a ring. If she is a manager for this company, I can't imagine how helpful anyone else might be. DO NOT USE HOTEL PLANNER.
