I responded to an advertisement for a round trip ticket to San Antonio TX from Atlanta GA for $98 through Priceline. A note, the charge through Amex was to Frontier not Priceline. When I arrived at the airport and to the counter they wanted an additional $293 plus $150 for taxes plus $96 for luggage…one way.
$293
$150
$96
$637 total
And I was going to have to do this same process in order to get home. All that said, I walked away from the counter after telling the agent that this was the worst fraudulent bait and switch I’d ever heard of or worse yet, been a party to in my life. The man in front of me had the exact same ticket and offer. He had exactly the same experience. He left and rented a car then drove to San Antonio, 1,100 miles.
After all this, I requested that Frontier return what money I’d spent. After two emails (because they don’t provide a phone number) I received a response asking for my name and my confirmation number. Strange that Frontier couldn’t see my name and their own confirmation number but nonetheless I gave it to them. It’s now a month later and no reply. I called Amex and they deleted the charge.
Now a little back story. I was going to see family that hadn’t been together for three years because of the “pandemic”. I missed the trip. They all got together. My nephew, who I would have seen, had either a seizure or stroke yesterday and is now on a ventilator and in an induced coma. Odds are he’ll die. We’re a small family. Both my parents have died and I have one sister. Five children between us and three grandchildren. That’s it. I’m beyond angry at Frontier Airlines and I’m grieving that I’ll probably never speak to my nephew again. Thanks frontier for the wonderful experience trying to do business with your company. Never ever again.

I am livid. There is not one single person to speak with. A real person. Your chats suck and are useless. I suppose that is probably the goal though, isn't it? To not actually resolve anything and just charge regardless. The harder you make it to speak to someone, the less chance you may have to do the right thing. I sent an employee to Las Vegas-- 2,000 miles from home and 2 time zones-- from Buffalo NY. He checked in in Buffalo with his paper itinerary that I organized for him. His flight to Vegas was long, but went off without a hitch. He checked into Harry Reid International Airport this morning and presented his paper itinerary and was denied. He was told to download apps, check in remotely, then board. Because it took him so long to jump through the hoops imposed by your staff, he checked in "37 minutes before flight" and WAS DENIED. How are you going to be denied when there are still 37 minutes to check in?!
When I spoke to an agent on the phone (not by your customer service number, mind you-- by making my employee physically walk up to an actual human being) she said there were still 13 minutes before take off and yet HE WAS STILL DENIED. I re-booked him with another airline because I can't imagine the imposition put upon my employee to go through this again when he is just trying to get home to his wife and children. Frontier Airlines, you are a joke. Refund, cancellation, or nothing (likely nothing, because let's face it-- you don't care if you've lost a customer) I hope you have the day you deserve.

UNACCEPTABLE! ONE DAY after booking (30 days in advance) Frontier changed our flight from a NONSTOP 3-hour flight to TWO 3-HOUR FLIGHTS with a TEN HOUR layover and a 4:30 AM arrival time. They did not issue a full refund.

Frontier. Where do I even start… Here: if you pay for cheap, nasty flights, you get cheap, nasty attitudes. I had the displeasure of approaching gate A36 this morning for a flight to St. Louis. It was flight 698 to be exact. I was greeted by a woman, who appeared to be of the Muslim faith given her head covering, snapping her fingers and pointing at me to size my luggage. This rude and unprofessional gesture was unlike I had experienced with any airline in the past, even Spirit. This means of directing someone to size their luggage is classless behavior, much like the classless “big boss” as she was so named. There was a supervisor present who looked more adept at street walking for money or stripping than managing a gate at an airline. If you can’t walk in your heels, they’re too small and you have no grace. If you have to keep pulling your dress down, it’s too short (and too small). She was equally nasty and classless.
“You only have one minute! The plane WILL leave you and it’s $99 if you get left.” OK… I have experienced poor customer service in the past, but the individuals managing the gate this morning should be fired immediately. They have no class, grace, professionalism, or sense of customer service. When I asked to speak with someone about their behavior, they stated “She is the manager.” This explains why the proletariat is so ignorant. It all trickles down from the top. Don’t fly with Frontier. Save your money, and fly with airlines with more experience, training, competence, and knowledge. Frontier: You’re only losing money by getting these reviews. In summary, cheap, nasty flights will earn you cheap, nasty attitudes.

My children flew on Frontier from Las Vegas NV to los Angeles and it was the worst experience, staff was so rude to them didn't wanna help until last minute. They hollered at my mom and said she was lacking (smh) and kept jacking up the price of the bag when we were told that it was another amount. Worst experience ever and I won't stop until I let everyone know how bad this airline is and the customer service.

On a recent trip booked with Frontier we had a very customer unfriendly experience. At the gate we were asked to place our bags in a bag sizing device. To our surprise (and dismay) the bags did not fit. Only the small bump out of the wheels obstructed their fitting in the sizer. This was the first time in years of flying that we were asked to use a 'sizer' which was a new experience because our Samsonite personal item bags always fit under our airline seats.
We were directed to the gate agent to pay a fee for our oversized personal item bags. The fees amounted to $100/bag/person/flight and amounted to a total of $400. This fee more than doubled our original purchase. The agents 'matter of policy' attitude was not customer friendly nor was the gate surprise we experienced considering our past experience of using these exact bags and not ever having a boarding issue. With this awareness we will think twice about flying Frontier Airlines. It's as if they went out and measured the most popular personal item carry on bags and set their threshold sizing to penalize flyers who had been customers for years. Use caution when considering Frontier Airlines.

Unless it is the only choice in town, I would not fly Frontier Airlines. Prone to Delays, Cancellations. My previous 3 experiences have been sad. So now, I gave them plenty of chances. The last one was the straw that broke the camel's back. Flight cancelled when I arrived at MDW. No notification via email or text about this cancellation. Their website showed flight on time and included a gate number! Staff lied outright about that part, were unhelpful, could not book alternative flights as they had no choices from Friday departure all the way to Sunday. Even would not process a refund, had to be done via a code. Pathetic and deplorable.

My flight With Frontier was perfectly fine round trip. But my luggage was damaged on the return flight back. I had an international flight and my bag was fine picking it up from the international baggage claim. The damage occurred when you recheck the bag for the additional security check after exiting an international flight. When picking my bag up from the regular baggage claim area it had a big hole in it. There was no Frontier agent to make a complaint with at the airport so I figure I would go home and file the complaint. Being that it was late on a Sunday night I made the report Monday. Frontier responded and said I had 4 hours to make the claim and since it was outside of that time period it was nothing they could do.

We made a reservation 2 months ago with this airline and they canceled the flight 6 weeks before. Then they gave the opportunity to make another reservation, so we took another fly from a city 350 km far from our origin. We spent car rental to reach this airport. We check our flight, went to the airport and waiting at the gate to take the flight 2 hours and a half later (at 8:00 pm) they canceled the flight again. So I was at fort Lauderdale waiting to fly to New York and after that the only compensation was the return of my money and 50$ compensation to use on flights with them. I had to pay 4 tickets rush (January 5th) from Tampa for the day after, pay hotel, car rental, food, after that loose 1 day of work, my daughter lose 1 day of work and my other daughter a class in the university and the compensation was a 50$ to use with them.

After boarding the plane, I asked the flight attendant to assist with a man who was yelling on his cell phone with the speaker on as well. The attendant replied to me, "NOT TODAY, WE'RE NOT DOING THIS TODAY. HE HAS A RIGHT TO BE ON HIS PHONE". We were shocked at her attitude as she was clearly disrespectful and made it out to be that I was the problem. She then went on to humor the ** passengers in our immediate area. They were all laughing.
When she came around for drinks, I asked for water and she gave me a cup of warm water. I asked for ice and she replied, "You ask for water, I give you water, you ask for ice, I give you ice". I had it and snapped at her that I am a paralegal and that I would report her racist attitude and treatment toward me. My son, a law enforcement officer was seated next to me and was in shock at how someone like her could even work as an attendant. We are ** and the attendant was **. I filed a complaint with the airline but never heard nothing back from them. We flew December 5, 2022.

Flying Frontier airlines falls somewhere in between robbery by intimidation or extortion. After waiting in line 1.5 hours at MCO strictly because of their lack of organization, direction, and logistical expertise I was told by an extremely aggressive, confrontational, as well as condescending "customer service" agent that I was 1.5 lbs over the 40 lbs. I quickly reached in an exterior pocket and in less than 10 secs removed some candy gifts to discard.
Without provocation and quite aggressively I was told that I was not allowed to do that and must pay an extra $50 or make the line again from the beginning even though I had spent the previous 90 mins in line because they have a total of 4 Agents checking in close to 10 flights. Absolutely ridiculous. I asked to speak to a supervisor and instead of calling one over I was told I needed to go to a totally different area of the airport to do that which is absurd as she wasted more time making a big deal for 1.5 lbs, or solving the issue.

This airline is a scammer. They charge you $79 for bags even if they weigh 40 pounds and an ounce when they should be charging $62. $62 for a 40 pound bag is still a rip off. The same charges for the luggage you carry inside the plane and for everything you consume and exaggeratedly expensive. It is very difficult to check in before the trip because you have to communicate through text messages because they do not have customer service through phone calls. And as if that wasn't enough, when you arrive at the airport and ask one of their employees for help, they don't want to help you and they disrespect you. This happened to me at the Orlando Florida Airport and at the Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla Puerto Rico. Frontier Airlines and its employees are useless.

I don’t even know where to begin but Frontier, count y’all days because that’s the last of my money y’all have gotten on Jan 3. 2023. I fly Delta all the time because they do nonstop and I never in my life spend so much money on baggage. The money I spend on baggage ($836) is a scam of poor people trying to go visit love ones in the Caribbean. When I went to Jamaica I had 10 pieces of luggage and I travel with Delta and only paid ($336) with a television for my mom. And yes about 5 of my luggage was overweight.
So I don’t understand coming back to America Frontier think it’s right to scam me out of ($836) why 1 baggage have to be 79 next one 89. My husband fought for this country and to be scam by this airline is beyond me. The airline is not for people who works hard and decide one day to go on vacation. Then they don’t even give anything on the airline for free you have to purchase everything. People the scam of this airline is to make the fare cheap and then you pay back for the ticket in baggage fee and food so y’all better not be hungry flying on that plane. They carry on have to be the smallest piece you can find like your pocketbook, smh.
Then when I reach Atlanta it took us 1 hr exactly to get off the plane because they claim another airline is at their gate. Then almost half an hour to get my luggage. But what hurts me so bad is the ($836) I have to pay for my luggage and why the weight have to be 40lb when every other airline is 50lb, that’s where the scam is again. Frontier fix it. If this what y’all but in the fine print and federal decided to sign off someone have to put a stop to this immediately. Else sooner or later y’all gonna be out of business because in life it’s that much people can take. You need my REFUND OF ($500). Thank you.

This past summer (July) my wife and I traveled to Jamaica on Frontier Airlines. There was an issue with the return flight which led to a very late cancellation of the flight several hours after scheduled flight time as airport in Montego Bay was closing. Frontier refused to assist with finding evening lodgings for passengers. They stated that they would reimburse overnight lodging with a receipt. After submitting receipt (only $50 for wife and myself), they refused to reimburse because receipt was handwritten by hotel in Jamaica. Personally, we will not be flying with Frontier Airlines ever again anywhere, but we feel that at very least everyone should be wary of traveling outside of the US with this carrier who failed to look out for their customers in a foreign country where personal safety can be an issue.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Frontier. Gate agents in Philadelphia (PHL) made announcements to have passports and travel documents inspected by the agents prior to boarding the flight to Cancun (CUN). My fiance and I provided our passports to the agents who cleared us, which was a mistake. The agents knew that the flight was going to CUN and my fiance has non-US passport. The agents should have asked us if my fiance had her Visa or Green Card, as this is required to get into Mexico with a non-US Passport, which they did not. My fiance did not have her Green Card with her so when we landed in Mexico, she was denied entry. We were then made to purchase return flights back to the United States on Frontier (the representative at Mexico wouldn't even give us other airline options), but it only took us to St. Louis (STL) and not back to PHL.
So not only did the Gate Agent not properly ensure we had all the necessary travel documents to travel into Mexico (whether due to lack of knowledge or lack of care), we were also made to purchase return tickets back in to the States on Frontier because of this oversight AND return tickets from STL to PHL (We flew Southwest from STL to PHL and it was so much better) because we weren't given an option to return from CUN to PHL, where the flight originated from.
Because of this, I am now in the process of trying salvage what I can from the trip that never happened. The shuttle we booked from Cancun to the Resort offered us a credit for future use and American Airlines (the flight which was expected to take us from CUN back to PHL) also gave us credit back. I would like to note that both the shuttle company and American Airlines gave us the credits despite them not being involved and having a non-refund/non-cancellation policy as well. While it isn't a full refund, which I understand wouldn't be due to the policy and them not being directly involved in this incident, they made an exception to their policy given our situation and at least offered credit back for future use. This is excellent customer service, unlike Frontier.
I escalated this case to their "Customer Relations" team, who acknowledged the oversight of the Gate Agent and then went on to say that they are "unable to compensate" us for this inconvenience. How is it that American Airlines, the airlines that wasn't directly involved in the matter, was able to make an exception to their policy and offer us travel credits and yet Frontier Airlines, the airlines involved in the dissatisfaction and complaint, is unable to do anything?
At least American Airlines would have flown us back to our originating airport in this situation (as per the representative I spoke with). We were only given the choice of Denver or St. Louis and we couldn't even catch a flight from Denver or St. Louis back to Philadelphia. What?? If Frontier doesn't have a flight back to the originating airport, at least give us the option to choose another airline that will. All they saw was a situation to take more money from us. They didn't care where they sent us as long as it was with Frontier.
At the end of their response to my escalation, the "Customer Relation Specialist" stated "I am very sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused and hope that this will not deter you from flying Frontier Airlines in the future". As it currently stands, I have no intention of traveling with Frontier in the future given this incident because I know that if anything were to happen again, Frontier won't care about me and they won't care about you either. All the negative reviews that you see are 100% true. "Cheap" flights at the expense of the customers. Save yourself the trouble and headache.
Pay the extra $100-$200, if you can, on another airline. What you save on the tickets, they'll gouge you on seat selections, bags and food (no, there are no free drinks or snacks). Legroom is nonexistent, seats are extremely uncomfortable and there is no entertainment. If you plan on using your device, good luck on a long flight as they do not have any outlets. And if you have any issues, don't expect to get any satisfactory customer support, because there isn't any. They'll find a way to milk you of your money and call it a day.

Since no one was notified about the cancellation of this flight it was now too late to try and find a flight, and the only options available now had layovers and for my particular case had to pay an unexpected $1300 dollars with a different airline. To make things worse the refund won't be available on my card for up to 5 business days, making really hard for some people to afford this, in fact there was an older couple crying because they couldn't afford this and didn't have a place to stay or to afford food until they get reimbursed and find a flight they could afford. A gent even tried to help but it didn't work for him and I had to go to the agent. Never wanted to talk to an agent but I couldn't retrieve my bag tags. She said the reason was that I needed to pay for my seats 70.00 per person in the emergency exit! Why would have to do that? I asked her where is my seat that I paid for. Regardless of where it is she said I don't have one and the only way I could board my flight was by paying. It was seats open on that plane and yet you all robbed me of 140.00 when I just paid 182.00 for bags and 90.00 for the flight! She said you all changed something three months ago and buying a ticket does not guarantee you a seat (not a particular seat) but a seat at all.

Worst experience flying Frontier Airlines today. Get to Las Vegas airport at 3:30 am for 6 am flight to Chicago. Too many flights and not enough staff and self service kiosks were broken. Missed flight home at 6 AM because of them and we were unable to get another Frontier flight until Tuesday!!!! Had to pay $800 to fly Southwest home today. I need a refund and reimbursement! Frontier Airlines staff was so rude to make matters worse. Frontier Airlines knew there was an issue and did NOTHING to try to fix it.
Instead of delaying the flights because they didn’t have enough workers to check luggage for all their flights, They departed with a handful of passengers and stranded hundreds of us without so much an an apology. The self service kiosks didn’t work so it forced everyone to stand in line for over 2 hours to be told we have to rebook. Another hour in rebooking line to have zero flights for several days. I will never fly Frontier Airlines again!

We flew home with the same bags we started with and we traveled home with less, so our bags were even smaller. The gate agents were extremely rude and disrespectful, and wouldn't let us on because our bags needed "to be pushed" into the box. They wouldn't even let me speak. The bags did not need to be forced into the box. The man just kept shouting, if it doesn't slide in, you can't get on the plane. The woman at the podium kept interrupting me demanding $99 per bag. Every time I tried to talk, either the man said I was not allowed on the flight. I needed to remove two items of clothing from the bags and layer them on, and shove an item under my shirt.
All that nonsense and stress just so I can undress and repack my bag at my seat and put my bag, THAT FITS WITHOUT AN ISSUE, under my seat. In fact, I could fit my bag and my husband's bag in front of me. Once I got home, I measured my bags and they were SMALLER than the requirements listed on the website. SUCH A SCAM FOR MONEY!!! Once we got on the plane we looked around and realized the flight was less than 2/3 full and assumed the aggressiveness was because they wanted money.

I spoke to chat and they said they couldn't help me. I spoke to a manager on chat named Leticia ** (sorry for the name drop but this next part was absurd). She had me on the chat and was essentially telling me their systems were my problem, and then at some point just left the chat on me. No word or anything, just up and left. I had just flown Frontier from Philadelphia to Atlanta with no problem. When I was jumping on my connecting flight from Atlanta to Phoenix, Channel the manager informed me my backpack was too big and I would have to pay an additional $100. I showed her my backpack fit in the required space. She insisted it did not. Channel said, "if you do not hurry up and pay the plane will leave you." What kind of a manager says that? She is using FEAR tactics to get more money out of you. However, this was a plane I had to get on in order to get home to my family and sick wife. I could not believe it when I saw Channel doing this to multiple people. She would go as far as to ask guest to move their carry on in awkward positions so that a corner would be sticking out and then say you have to pay also.
I'm not sure if Channel, employee number ** did this because the flight was not sold out or for what other malicious reason. Maybe she gets a bonus for every person. It was a very uncomfortable situation she put me in. You best believe I will never fly Frontier again. Who in management uses FEAR TACTICS to get their clients to spend more money. This is definitely not a good look for Frontier. I would recommend for Channel to get better training. What she did was not ethical or morally right.

Then, after waiting hours I've been disconnected several times - the same happened both online and over the phone where disconnections have occurred. You then have to start all over. All of this happened while I was trying to cancel & change my flight within the 24 hour booking window. With the disconnections and long wait times, I finally was able to get a hold of somebody; however, they still charged me the change booking fee of $50 each person. This was such a frustrating experience and I don't feel comfortable at all trying this airline again if I know that it's so difficult to receive help or consideration.

Like so many other responses that I have just read, their fees are ridiculous! I paid $633.92 for two airline tickets. My son and his girlfriend broke up a few weeks before the trip. I tried to change the reservation and the end result after their change fees was a $175.92 credit. I tried to get the bot to explain to me how they arrived at this number to no avail. Additionally, I requested that all of the credit be put into my son's name and the bot would not do that either. Finally, I was asked for $75 more to put the girlfriend's ticket into my other son's name. At this point, I laughed because I have given Frontier Airlines my last dime and will spend a good amount of my time making sure other people don't. Buyer Beware of Frontier Airlines!

Bought a ticket from Hopper, Raleigh to SF, stop in Denver. At the time the ticket was purchased no disclosure about “carry on baggage fees”. When you go to check in your flight they try to charge you $68 for a small carry on bag and threaten you it will be double if you try to do it at the airport. Then they say Hopper split your ticket and your baggage fee only covers you to Denver and that I would have to pay another $68-$99 in Denver to carry on my small item. When I pointed out the absurdity of this and the fact the the “carry on” fee, which should be free is more than the cost of my ticket, they said that’s their policy. Oh, and if check in your bag it will only go to Denver, not San Francisco.
Two large bouncers were at the gate escorting people away and not letting them board their flight unless they paid their “baggage fees”. Bunch of people lined up frantically trying to get online to pay the fees or risk not making their flight. When I got into the plane I noticed water leaking through the roof. “Small maintenance issue” says the pilot, we’ll be on our way. People on the flight look panicked, pissed they had to pay $99 for a backpack and fearful their checked luggage won’t arrive at their destination. WORST AIRLINE ever! Don’t be tempted by the cheap fees through third party sites like Kayak and Hopper. I plan to complain to the FTC and a class action attorney. You should too!

I had the worst experience with Frontier airlines. First, I paid $110 for one way ticket for my 4 lb chihuahua who is 10 years old, her back legs are crippled so she can't walk and she has no teeth left. But, she is my world. So, they said because she was not a "service animal" I had to stow her under the seat in front of me. I have NEVER been told to do that before. She just sleeps on my lap under a lap blanket. This one lady in a yellow safety vest comes to my aisle (I am literally all the way in the back) and very rudely tells me I have to put my dog under the seat right after I sat down.
I said, why does that lady get to keep her much bigger dog out? She said she is a service dog. I said "what is the difference" and she said "It's a BIG difference" She was just an A.H. The flight attendants on this flight were HORRIBLE!!! Even all the other passengers around me told me to write a negative review because of how bad they talked to me. So I had to wake my dog up and put her in the crate and she screamed the whole time thus bothering the passengers but they all said they understood and were on my side. It was a lot of stress on my dog, me and other passengers for NO REASON other than the staff just wanting to be rude.
Then, I was deceived online to pay $112.00 for a carry on. They did NOT specify that it would be free if it were under a certain size, it just said all backpacks. I got there and the lady at the terminal said I did not have to pay for it but online it said it would cost me MORE at the airport. She wrote notes on it and told me to call customer service for a refund. Well, I did that and they refused to refund me for a service they DECEIVED me into buying. Never again will I fly this airline.

Like many of the other negative reviews here, my experience is with their aggressive, rude, and predatory staff scamming passengers out of baggage fees. On my flight from ATL to TPA, the gate staff made zero announcements, and the screen at the counter was blank, not showing any flight information, only a static image. Obviously there were no boarding calls. By the time I approached the counter, they were already ready to close the doors, and then 3 more groups of passengers approached the counter asking why there were no announcements made and the screen was blank. Good questions. They rushed everyone onboard with no time to repack luggage. The staff were incredibly rude to everyone, threatening to not let people on the plane.
Needless to say, they are running a racket. This is an obvious scam. Never have I seen airline employees make zero announcements for a flight, deliberately withholding travel information from passengers, and then rushing everyone on board while being exceptionally rude. This greed in the pursuit of profits. So now passengers can be incredibly uncomfortable not only while they're packed tightly into a Frontier flying school bus, but also while being threatened by nasty, or at least incompetent, employees before boarding.

Go online then they charge 99 plus a smaller fee to cancel. Wow. Then give you a travel credit for the rest of your so called refund. So basically you pay for the ticket on top of an 99 cancellation fee or 122 cancellation fee online then travel credits if you even get a refund. If you don’t fly but this one trip you're basically screwed not to mention the ticket wasn’t even made for 24 hours. My 70+ y/o parents' carry-on luggage fit in the compartment, they claimed we were trying to shove it, I stepped in to take things to put in my bag only to be told to step back! I told her no, I am taking her items, Cristi the agent pointed her fingers at my parents and told the other passengers it was because of us that they were delayed getting on the plane! After I took photos of their id badges, they told me they were calling security - I told them go ahead. (They never did.)
Cristi kept yelling at my parents which made my mom sick and she had to vomit in the trash can 10' away. Again, she screamed at my mom for moving to the trash can, thus embarrassing her even more. After every passenger boarded, she waited an additional 10 minutes and told us to board and that we were "Lucky to be getting on the place after we harassed her"! My poor parents had to walk down that plane aisle w/ everyone staring at them. And top it off, Cristi came on the plane to warn the flight attendants about the trouble we caused.
Another passenger spoke up and said, no, you caused the trouble yourself. "Those people were harassed by you!" After she left, the plane sat on the tarmac another 45 minutes before it departed. Once in the air, several people onboard approached us to let us know how bad they felt for them and that the treatment was uncalled for and unnecessary. Frontier Airlines should be hanging their heads in shame. Hopefully, people catch on and stop flying for them as well as Spirit since they are owned by Frontier also. And managers that only push the issue to an even worse state burning useful and valuable time during the process. After 5 hours of trying to get in touch with them and finally being able to do it, everything went entirely backwards thanks to those two people (Customer Service Agent (Erick) and Manager (Giselle)). Make sure you keep all conversations and discussions available because the Attorney General's office and your bank will need them in support of any complaint and dispute processes that may result in unfair business practice investigation. Was told I could go back through security, back to the kiosks at the entrance to the airport, to print new boarding passes. Time was now getting within 20 mins of doors closing. Sprinted to Kiosk only to find that at Frontier, one CaNNOT print boarding passes at their kiosks. Cut through the line to ticketing agent. SHe printed our passes and told us we had 20 mins to get on the plane.
We sprinted back on the train, through security and got to the gate at 1:58 pm. The doors were to close at 1:57. No agent was there for us to talk to. We talked to another nearby gate and they said "It is now 1:59." I pointed out that we had been the less than 1 min late. They would not budge. Saw an agent at our original gate so we ran back over the beg to let us on. Mind you this was still well under the "20 mins" the ticketing agent had told us. She saw my 7 year old was in tears. She let us know but not without a lot of scolding. This was our experience coming home. It was nearly the same on our way out since there is no clear way to pull up our passes on my phone at any point. I followed the directions that they has on their site...no luck!
Once on the plane, there is no screens or charging points for my daughter's entertainment for our 4 hour flight. It's like they get paid a commission to charge you the extra fees. Our flight was delayed solely because they were collecting fees from passengers. Ugh!! Fortunately, I wasn't carrying a very big bag but the rude Vulture agent asked if I had any personal items in my medical bag (which is exempt from being counted as a bag), that she was going to charge me if I did. Our flight was canceled with no reason given. My husband received $50 vouchers for each of us which expire in January. Because we had to take extra vacation days from work to get home (thank goodness we weren't fired) we can afford a trip betwwn now and January. I got a sorry excuse for an apology on Twitter, so I'm going to do all the reviews I can so others don't have to go through what we went through.
2. We had to keep our rental car an extra day, which cost us money.
3. We had to pay to get a hotel at between flights because of how we were able to arrange flights home. This cost US money.
4.We had to pay for a cab to get us to our hotel because we arrived so late there wasn't a shuttle available. Cab driver took cash only and we have no receipt. So that was an unexpected travel cost.
5. I had to pay for a bag in Denver that I purchased because of its exact dimensions, but for some reason it was too big in Denver. So that cost $$
6.We had to pay for two extra days of parking at our home airport. and that was an expensive parking payment.
With all of these expenses plus food for my family and I, we spent closet o $400 just to get back home. Also, ALL of their flights get delayed because of how they hassle people about their bags at the the gate. ALL of our flights left and arrived late. This airline is worse than terrible. Missed my flight out by a few minutes, I could have made the gate, small airport, they wouldn't even let me try even after explaining my father was dying. Cost me an additional $199 to change my flight to the next day, they did not care or bend on this extra charge regardless of family/dying/death. Made next day flight, $60 for carry-on 2 ways = $120. So now I'm in at $545. To get to Dad, customer service who changed my flight lied on layover time in Denver, said 5 hours, was really 18 hours, now I'm down 1 day, facing another due to 18 hr layover lie, but another ticket with American so I can get to Dad sooner, $200. Now I'm in at $745. Flight home needs to be changed, Dad didn't pass over on their schedule, airline wanted an additional $274.
To cover changes in flight cost, I refused and booked that same flight with Expedia for $179. Had to cry a lot to get $60 carry-on moved over to new flight. Now in at $924. Arrived at airport for flight home and checked in 2 hrs ahead of flight, meanwhile a few pilots showed up to hitch a ride on this flight. Went to board, was pulled aside and told the flight was oversold and I had to wait till last to board because I was one of the last to check in for the flight, 2 hrs ahead of flight as required. Was then told I with 2 other passengers were bumped due to this so called overbooked flight. (HOW do you over sell a flight, you know how many seats you have, I call **.) Nothing they could do, started crying.
Told associate at gate, I was just trying to get home with my dead Dad's ashes in my purse and so on... She was as helpful as she was allowed, refunded me 4x's the cost of the flight, sounds great right, nope, base price of my original flight home was $230, additional ticket, $179. The base price of my ticket was $53. Yep, the difference in price is mark up, so the $215. I was reimbursed didn't even cover an alternative flight that day, so I was faced with night at airport and leave next day or pay additional $179. To cover difference in cost of alt ticket, now I'm in at $1103. All for flying from NY to AZ and back for the death of my father. They don't care, no refunds. They don't even deserve 1 star. And I will be filling a complaint with BBB, FAA, AND spreading the word on every social platform possible!

1. Flying out of Orlando, Florida (MCO)... Gate 80... They started in on their announcements... If your bag doesn't fit... you'll be charged for a Carry-on. I attempted to put my laptop bag in... I collapsed the handle, the flexible material portion fit; however, the blasted rigid portion of the bag (bottom) stuck out. Keep in mind, there was still room in the bottom for the bag; however, this rigid rim (maybe 1/2") portion cost me $99. They asked for my boarding QR code... scanned it and then told me that would be $99.
Grudgingly (Under-duress of not flying), I said Okay. The guy just stared at me... I said okay... He said, "I need payment" (attitude)... I had assumed when he scanned my boarding pass he had all the account information that we had put into their system to purchase tickets... At that point I figured he wanted a CC. Once he ran the card, he then told his co-worker that the system crashed... which started to really irritate... They demand additional fees... then the system crashes... Of course I started to voice my dislike for their services.
NOTE: Come to find out, I could have saved around 30-dollars if I had done it through the app... but they didn't suggest this... It was straight to the counter and you incur that additional charge because you're tasking an employee. Sort of explains why you see the "buy bag", "buy bag", "buy bag" link all over the app... It's their cash cow... or maybe they just don't want you interacting with representatives for various reasons. Anyway, just irritating that my bag was smaller (by volume); however, they screw you on the dimension aspect.
2. Credit Card Offer ("This flight only"): On the LAST 35-MINUTES of the flight... we were subjected to a very aggressive FlyFrontier Credit Card pitch (#1)... I can't type it on here enough times to piss you off... because you'd skip right past it... We couldn't. I kid you not... He did a sales pitch for at least 5-mins... Then he walked to the back of the plane with applications giving a 5-second pitch (#2) to each row... Then he mumbled his pitch (#3) again as he approached from the back of the plane... not joking. He then did a trash collection from the front (#3.5) all the way to the rear... All while holding the trash bag (tapping the applications to draw your attention to them)... and again, while returning to the front (#4).
Then, yes, then he took another opportunity to spin (like he just been asked) a FAQ List (mostly canned) announcement (#5). Once we were on the ground... we were delayed because of ground crew... Do you want to take a guess... yep, (#6) what the bloody hell. As we deplaned, this guy was also standing at the front (exit door), where most attendants give you a warm pleasant good bye... He was still working his blasted sales pitch (#7). As I passed him, I told him 'No - I don't want your blasted card'. Would have rather sat through a time-share... than to listen to that crap again.
3. Kids Fly Free - don't fall for it. You still pay for each seat (not really free) and you'll pay for their bag, if it doesn't qualify as a personal item. See first item (mentioned above).
4. You'll be nickeled/dimed for everything on these flights... No cash... CC only. Maybe it's a streamlined thing, tracking thing, and/or don't trust attendant thing. I think the row in front of us was charged for just water... However, I think they got a paper towel (free) when their baby spit up.
Anyway... I've heard NOT to fly with JB, think I'm adding this airline to the NO fly list. Haven't checked out SW yet... Might be throwing them our future business.

We ended up driving back to Detroit and spending 600.00 for that experience. I would not recommend Frontier Airlines to my enemy! Horrible...

My flight was 2 hours delayed because they “accidentally” put gas in the plane twice and overfilled it. I’ve flown at least 200 times (many times with a Frontier, and I have never heard of such a preventable issue in my life). If I could give negative stars, I would. I woke up at 4am to board at 7am to wait for 2 hours (sitting in a tin can, squished against other passengers [and I’m tiny, so I can’t even imagine the frustration of others] because the plane is crap) without any compensation or reassurance. I used to count on you, but will NEVER fly with you again - I would literally pay double to have a good experience and on time flight instead of the crap show I experienced.

Don't fly with Frontier. I got a round trip ticket from PDX to LAS and back. This Airline is a total scam. I paid for my round-trip ticket online. Then 24 hrs before your flight they want to check in where they want to charge you and additional $20 then they have you pick your seats which will run you anywhere between $31 and $78 depending on what seat you pick. Then they want to charge you for your carry-on. Then if you need to check a bag you get charged again. Then once on the plane nothing is complimentary. You will be charged for everything. Water, soda, snacks, etc...
Then when you arrive at the Airport there are no agents at the counter till 2 hrs before your flight or later and if you think you can call someone on one of their 800 numbers think again or plan on being on hold for quite a while. Then once you get onboard the seats are just a hard piece of plastic w an ironing board cover. Very uncomfortable. By the time your done paying all their fees you could have flown first class with another airline. Run while you still can. You've been warned.

Predatory practices to squeeze more money out of the customer with no thought to customer service. Charges for every imaginable service most people assume will be offered out of human decency. ** seats (even for an airline), not even water offered on flights without more payments, and they charged me an additional $100 dollars for a personal bag I had already used on their airline on a return flight. There was even plenty of room left in the overhead bins if they wanted me to put it up there. Worst airline ever. Business run in a disgusting manner.

In June I was on my way back from Phoenix to Chicago. Other than my flight from Chicago to PHX, which was with American Airlines, I was able to get my ticket at the machines, but in Phoenix, the Airline Frontier did not offer this function, nor was it possible to check in online in advance. I had to wait in a loooong line, and we all did not see any progress for over 45 minutes. We saw the reason for that was the lady at the kiosk happily involved in a loud conversation with two women about private contents.
When it was finally my turn, she told me that it was too late for me, she was not able to print out my ticket. I burst into tears - it was obvious that it was her fault. She forwarded me to her supervisor, who immediately understood the situation and she did everything in her power to get me on the flight. She made it happen to print out the ticket after trying it with different devices - then she ran to the gate to wait for me and instructed me to be fast! I ran and, in the crowd, I saw her waiving, and she guided me quickly to the gate. I only had to pass the ticket through the control but then I was told “We are overbooked”. And I missed the flight so to speak twice. The supervisor felt so sorry (she was lovely by the way) and she tried to find another flight with another airline, as Frontier would only offer a flight 2 days later. I flew that day over Kansas City with SW Airlines and it had been a long, long inconvenient day for me.
Frontier made it super complicated to get in touch with them afterward, but I found a way after intense researches. Emails went back and forth and they kept on telling me that my documents were not complete or they said it has to be a pdf and nor a jpg, once it was a pdf, they said it has to be bundled, trying to play with customers patience. I just had the feeling they are not even really reading my case.
I gave everything what they wanted, but the final answer was just, that they do not refund me, not for the ticket I bought at Frontier, nor for the ticket I was forced to buy at SW Airlines. I would give Miss E., the supervisor in Phoenix 5 stars, but she is clearly working in the wrong company. I will never fly with Frontier Airlines again, and I think this is a bigger loss for Frontier, than refunding me the $500, which they owe me.

Frontier LIED to me and refused to refund me for a less than $100 ticket. All of my friends flew Spirit while I flew Frontier. They had no issues but here I am disgruntled. Upon reaching the gate and waiting to board, shortly before boarding, the reservation agent made an announcement that the flight was full so she had 12 free tickets for the first 12 customers to get in line who were willing to sit in the emergency row. I was one of the 12 and she printed me (and the other 11) a new boarding pass which I used for the flight.
Despite calling, chatting, using the feedback form, and filing a formal complaint, Frontier has refused to refund me for the flight I PAID for as if anyone would scam a $78 flight when my return trip cost double AND I provided both boarding passes. Do not trust ANYTHING that they say. Poor customer service and deceit. It is the principle of the matter. I am a public school educator. I have no reason to scam an airline for a $78 flight when I have PROOF of my claim. Either 11 other trusting customers also got scammed or I am being discriminated against either because I am **, a woman, or both. I have lost all faith in their integrity.

I chose Frontier initially because they seemed to have a better price than most competitors. I was booking a round-trip flight for my son. I had been searching flights for the better part of the day and was relieved to make my selection. My first disappointment… you had to pay additionally for a seat, no not an upgraded seat but a seat period. Standing was not an option so I selected the seat, but wait… I had to pay for a seat on each plane because of course this was not a direct flight. I had to pay for both planes on the return as well. Then it gets better. I had to pay for bags. I get checked bags as this is becoming somewhat the norm but no… I had to pay for his carry-on as well.
At this point, I have paid the same cost as the top airlines but I figured lesson learned. Do not fly Frontier. Fly SOUTHWEST or DELTA. I wish this was the end but here is the real kicker. On his return flight, he had the same bags, one checked and one backpack (his carry-on). He had his small game as his personal item, his skateboard was attached to his backpack. The boarding agent at the time of boarding stopped him and said he can’t take the skateboard. Keep in mind this was a return flight and it was not a problem coming here. She told him he had to pay $99. Or leave it. What were his options they were boarding. He paid them.
Now he was broke with no money for his long layover that he was headed to in Las Vegas. I wish this was it but it is not. He had met three other boys on the same flight and they all had their skateboards attached to their backpacks. None of them were detained or charged. My son was profiled… plain and simple. He was profiled because of his clothing and looks. He is a heavy metal singer. Clean, very kind and polite but doesn’t look like everyone else.

So basically, they change your flights, make sure you’re good and stranded and then offer a travel voucher that is good for a measly 3 months. Seems like a scam if I ever heard one.

I purchased an upgraded window seat #2A. On arrival the people assigned to 2B/2C were sitting in 2A & 2C. These persons were of a very large size by width and essentially eliminated the middle seat with their size making it impossible for me to take my window seat. Ultimately I ended up being offered the aisle seat #2C but because of the size of these people I was only able to use 2/3 of the seat and the arm rest to separate the seats was well behind the person next to me. I spent the entire flight folded over on myself with these persons entire arm resting on my arm and chest. At times I could feel the perspiration building up between our skins. Not only did I not get the upgraded seat I paid for, I did not even get a full seat.
The flight crew did nothing to acknowledge the situation nor did they speak with the two passengers to see if they had family members on the flight that would be willing to take the unaccommodating seat I was forced to use. The flight crew merely handed out seat belt extenders to the two passengers while I stood there. It turns out there was family members in the 3 seats across the aisle. One of them should have been asked to take the 2/3 seat I was forced to try and use..
I try to fly Frontier when I can and have always been very patient with the flight crews out of sympathy for their situation dealing with a sea of humanity. On exiting the aircraft I did as I always do, Thanked the crew. This was their opportunity to at least thank me for my patience. I got nothing. Not even the recognition of the "thank you". Regardless... I paid for a full seat and didn't get one.... I paid for an upgraded "more space" seat #2A and got less than I would have in row #31. Was I supposed to walk off the plane and hope to get a flight home somehow from some airline?? THIS WAS THEIR REPLY!!
"We respect that you are requesting a refund. However, we cannot honor that request as this should have been referred to a Supervisor that was present and able to witness that you did not fit in the seat. In fairness to all customers, the fee for seat selection is non-refundable, the flight was completed. My wife and I recently experienced Frontier Airlines for the time. Our flights were nonstop from Raleigh, NC to Denver, CO, and return. We left on Friday, July 22 and returned Sunday, July 31. Flight times were changed once, having a later one scheduled on both days. This did not impact our trip greatly, other than an overnight on July 22 at a Denver airport hotel.
Everything left, landed, and returned on schedule. We were toward the front row, having priority boarding access (my wife has a bad back and knees). The staff at the Raleigh and Denver airports for Frontier Airlines was helpful, friendly, and professional. Flight attendants and crew were very nice to us. Our seats were comfortable and offered plenty of legroom.
The only negative is that Frontier charges for checked bags and ones that would go in the overhead bin. We chose to check 1 bag through, with nothing going in the overhead. $60 for 1 checked bag, with a 40-pound limit. We were at 45 pounds, paying an extra $50 going to Denver. On the return, we shipped a box ahead from a UPS Store in Pagosa Springs, CO, paying $30. We were under the 40-pound limit on our return to Raleigh, NC. Having direct flights on Frontier Airlines made for a smooth trip, especially with all the cancellations/delays happening with other airlines. We would highly recommend Frontier Airlines based on our experience. Thank you.

At that time the CDC was also recommending that if you have been in close contact with someone that tested positive, that you should self quarantine for 5 days and if you are symptom free, test, and if negative it was acceptable for you to return to normal activities.
I was told when I cancelled my flight all I had to do was provide a positive Covid test. I did all they requested and Frontier REFUSED to provide me with a credit for my flight. The customer service person who could barely understand or speak any English told me I could not change my flight. It was not possible, which I have never in my life heard of, he proceeded to cancel my entire flight and told me all they could do was give an airline credit of $253. I’m so upset and out $1000’s of dollars because of this. This was a birthday trip for my best friend to Las Vegas. NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THIS ** AIRLINE.

I recently booked a "cheap flight" from CVG to MCO and paid for the ticket. Showed up at the airport and was told I didn't buy a seat(?). So, I had to wait to see if flight filled up, which it did. I was handed a piece of paper (with number) and told to call the airline, which I did. I was told I would be getting a refund. 2 weeks later, after hearing nothing, I called back and was told there was no record of me calling or giving a refund. I sent a complaint. Just got an email telling me there was no documentation of me not getting a seat and no refund will be given. I am a frequent flyer and gave used them before. I realize they are the bargain basement outfit, but that should not give them license to steal. I have made complaints with AG, not expecting much. One thing is for sure.... I will never fly them again, not will I let anyone around me too.

Now whoever took them from baggage claim had to dig because they were at the bottom of my luggage. I have made a complaint already and I’m hoping something is done rather the money I paid is reimburse and I’m not talking retail price or I get them back in the condition I bought them and the person who took them is caught. Frontier this is unacceptable and shouldn’t be happening at all when people are traveling. I am still waiting for answers and I will not stop pressing the issue until something is done.

Back in April my partner and I were flying back from Kentucky and our flight was delayed. I was already not wanting to fly Frontier due to all the horror stories. After waiting around for 2 hours they canceled our flight and told us there wouldn’t be another flight for a couple days. They told us we should receive an email with compensation if we couldn’t wait a few days. The representatives had put our email in wrong so we had to wait on hold and get transferred 20 times (no exaggeration) to then be told they were gonna take care of us at the airport.
They ended up putting us in a nearby hotel. We bought tickets with Spirit to get home the next day. The Frontier reps at the airport said. “Don’t worry. All you need is your receipt and everything will be refunded up to $500.” I had to charge 350 for both flights through Spirit. It’s been over two months and no resolution no refund. I’ve been emailing back and forth for days and they still need more information to refund me. Don’t fly Frontier. Pay the little extra and go somewhere else. If I could give negative stars I would. May someone from Frontier please call me to make this right!

After looking to change my flight online which cost 98.98, the very confusing website displayed a screen that stated the cancellation fee was 79.99. It also displayed a screen that had the same price as my ticket. There was no price difference so I pressed “continue” not confirm or book. I was just trying to get to a screen that would show me the final price difference. Then I got an email stating I canceled my ticket and that the cancellation fee was 98.98.
I called customer service immediately and the first representative told me the cancellation fee was 99.99 and I told her it was not Because I didn’t see any price difference which is why I didn’t think I canceled my ticket. She was very rude and transferred me to a supervisor who told me that the cancellation fee was actually $120. But they only took the price of my ticket. I was irate because if I had seen a price difference I would have been alarmed and not pressed continue. I had just purchased the ticket less than 24 hours prior but I was to leave in 3 days so frontier refused to refund me or give me a travel credit. Frontier has canceled so many of my flights, lost my luggage, and have had horrible flight attendants. This is the final straw with this airline. I don’t see how they can legally get away with stealing customers money. Buyer BEWARE and stay away from Frontier and their misleading tactics on the Internet that steal your money.

Just so everyone knows before you book a ticket on Frontier they do not care about your health or covid. They don't care if you spread covid. They don't have any reasonable policies that help you or support you in trying to be responsible and keeping covid numbers down. My daughter and my grandson have covid right now and live with me they and tested positive, but frontier will not let me Use my ticket at a different time period so I either have to lose my money for the ticket I purchased or fly knowing that I could possibly have covid and just haven't tested positive yet.
I personally will lose my money because I'm not going to take a chance on exposing other people to covid. But just know that because of frontier you could be sitting next to someone or expose yourself to covid because of frontier's lack of care for our health and their terrible lack of policies or support during this time. And understand that if you want to be a responsible person and you take a chance and buy a ticket you will lose all of your money if you end up not being able to fly or you choose not to fly because you have covid or have been exposed to someone who has.

My wife checked 2 bags 30-45 minutes prior to me checking mine (3rd bag) as I had to return a rental car. When I arrived to check my bag, the only 4 kiosk machine were out of order. I stood in line for 30 minutes. The agent said my family had already checked 3 bags. Knowing that was incorrect, she insisted I pay another $79.00 for my checked bag. I had no time to argue. I paid the $79.00, checked the bag and asked for the wheel chair that I had previously booked on the Frontier website. The agent it's be 20-30 minutes before someone could wheel me to the gate. Knowing that I only had 30 minutes to get to the gate before the door closed, I had to walk. The agent said there wasn't anything else she could do.
Once I was on the plane and after the door closed, I asked the 2 flight attendants if my 2 grandsons could move to the aisle from my wife and I as there was 2 empty seats. They were sitting in the back of the plane. Both of them said no. They said the seats were upgrades, but we could purchase them for $59.00 each. Needless to say, Frontier had already added so many additional fees for everything, we declined and both grandson sat by themselves in the back of the plane. When we arrived in Dallas, there was no wheelchair waiting on me. I was not shocked. After being home for 2 days, my back has not recovered from all the walking I had to do because of Frontier Airlines. This was the first time we flew Frontier and it'll be our last. We were then asked to stand in another line to get rerouted. The alternate flight they offered us was for the next day which was of no use to us as we would have missed our son’s graduation. No luck there. You could only use the kiosks to PAY more money for bags. Got to the gate and tried to get the gate agent to print my boarding pass -oh because of course the Frontier app wouldn't bring it up-so the gate agent although nice was SO unorganized she boarded Zone 1 then said 'ok all other zones come on up' which meant there was a mad cattle rush up to the gate. Delayed flight, of course. They don't even offer you a cup of water unless you pay for it.

The website is confusing and often hard to find information. They are not customer friendly AT ALL. When you need to speak to a representative on the phone, bless them, but they are difficult to understand. They charge you for absolutely EVERYTHING and it adds up. Their business model is to nickel and dime customers with charges for seats, baggage and change fees. Any way they can get a nickel out of you they will. They are so annoying.
Changes to flights are difficult and ALWAYS cost you. They mostly give out vouchers for any inconveniences THEY cause that must be used in 90 days or you'll suffer a loss of credit. Ironically my flight home yesterday from Denver to DC was canceled after my daughter's graduation, apparently for mechanical issues. Passengers were not notified until two hours before the flight when everyone was already at the airport checking in. I had to pay an extra $200-300 out of pocket to get home the same day on another airline, or wait a few days to get home. I am so relieved that my family doesn't need to fly Frontier anymore. Frontier had no personnel available at baggage claim to assist passengers so I walked to the ticket counter and found it was closed. I was able to speak to a security officer who attempted to reach out to a Frontier ramp agent. He told me he left a message but could not guarantee anyone from Frontier would respond. Eventually someone did come up to the counter to speak to me and help me complete a lost baggage report. The agent was pleasant and advised the bag must have been left off in Denver. She assured me it would arrive the next day and delivered to me via FedEx that same day.
The one comment I would make regarding my conversation with the agent that took my report is, she seemed to suggest in a roundabout way that my expectations should not be the same as I would have for another carrier that didn't operate on a Frontier or Spirit low fare model. I thought that was very odd but let it go. The next morning I made several calls to a local number the agent who took my report had reached out to me on after leaving the airport. I didn't get an answer until around noon. The gentleman that answered proceeded to tell me there was no way I would get my bag until Sunday unless I drove back to the airport to pick it up myself.
I was staying in Gatlinburg, more than an hour away. He also said the total recovery I could expect for my lost items if my bag was not found would be $75. "Low Fares Done Right", I don't think so. Someone telling you what they're not going to do for you rather than what they're trying to do to help in a bad situation they created for you doesn't instill a good overall feeling about the organization they represent. We'll have to wait and see how this all turns out but based on my own experiences with Frontier, past and present, I know I'll never consider Frontier in the future unless I absolutely have to be somewhere and Frontier is the only available option to get there.

I booked the flight from Columbus to Denver and was notified that my flight was changed from a 4 hour flight to a 12 hour flight ultimately making me miss what I was flying out for. They also cancelled my return flight with no alternative. Booking a flight after that cost me over $500 more than if I would have booked with a different airline the first time. I will never be booking a flight through them again.

They often change their flight time. Not small change, but a few hours change which significantly impact someone's day/plan for the whole day. Airport parking reservation needs to be changed, car rental, hotel accommodations, meetings, tickets to places, etc. They all need to be changed. Do not use Frontier! They have no respect for our time and plan. I have used Spirit, have no problem with Spirit as they didn't change the flight time. But frontier does.

Do not book Frontier. Their whole predatory system is built to pull you in for a low airfare purchase, then, they'll switch you to some ungodly red eye, or cancel bookings so that you'll have to pony $$ to fly the next available flight. Their '$0 penalty' for changed flights is bogus. They stick you in a workstream loop, so that you HAVE to accept the changed flight. There is no automated 'refund' email. THEN, you call customer service, and no one answers - ever. You have to finally go to their web site, cancel your flight (that was changed by THEM), and then you eat a $95 (or more!) cancellation fee.
The workstream loop on their 'refund' page is probably the most sophisticated, and tech savvy evil that I have ever witnessed. It's like being in a nightmarish scene from Dante's Inferno. Again. Do not even think about flying Frontier. Ever. Predatory practices in their UI and their 'automated' refund loop page, and in their overall business model. Makes one sick to the stomach. Also, they aren't BBB accredited, so in all honesty, it was a crap shoot, but, just don't do it, folks.

Lost an expensive IPAD that I was able to track with my iPhone, Find My iPad...It was showing up at Gate A 42 on the Frontier gate. I assume they couldn't break into it due to the code which would be tough to break. I went to ask about lost and found at DIA who is responsible for airport items, not airline lost and found. I asked several questions and was told quite frankly with Frontier hardly anyone gets their stuff back. Frontier has horrendous reviews on all search and should probably figure out a way to create a culture that caters to their customers instead of the investors. These people have little or no concern for the passengers.

Frontier Airlines is so grossly mismanaged and has such flagrant disregard for consumers that it is astonishing to me that they are still permitted to operate. The airline stranded hundreds of passengers at Orlando Airport this morning including myself and my 14 year old daughter. We all arrived at 4:45AM on time 2 hours before a 6:50 departure having already checked in online and prepurchased bag check. But there were insufficient staff to handle the bag drop and the line JUST TO DROP PREPURCHASED CHECK BAGS stretched around the corner of the terminal for MORE THAN 3 HOURS.
As a result, hundreds of people missed their flights and were forced to wait AN ADDITIONAL 3 HOURS TO rebook. Children were sleeping on the airport floor. After waiting for 3 hours on the rebooking line we were told that we would not be able to get another flight until Tuesday to Syracuse (3 hours drive from our original destination) so we took a refund and booked another, far more expensive flight tomorrow with a different airline. Frontier Airlines did this to hundreds of people this morning in Orlando. I will never book with them again even if it costs me double. They are an absurd and grossly mismanaged company.

I arrived 2hrs and 20 mins before flight. Have uber receipt for proof of drop off time. They were extremely short staffed. Took 90 mins to check my bags then proceeded to security, wait time said 33 to 37 mins..close but thought I would be ok. Took 50 mins. and I missed my flight..not my fault they are understaffed. I was told by Frontier attendant I would be refunded. She apologized saying it was busier than spring break and they didn't expect it. Well I'm sure they know how many people have booked. Do the math. I called customer service and was told I would not be refunded. I had to rent a car and drive 24hrs home at my expense. I will never fly or recommend this airline.

Wish I could give no star. Looking at previous reviews, I can tell this airline doesn’t care. I had had bad experiences with Frontier Airlines before with flights delayed or sitting on the plane for hours almost to the point of getting an anxiety attack. The customer service is horrible, so I decided to stay away from this airline. Unfortunately, Last November, I offered my niece in Puerto Rico as a birthday gift to pay for her flight to visit the US. She bought the ticket through Frontier before I could tell her not to.
I bought the tickets for them myself with my credit card and in the part for the refund I filled it out with my information, name and address.
First the check was sent on my niece's boyfriend name who lives in Puerto Rico therefore I can’t cash the check. After contacting them the representative said back in January they were sending a replacement check and since then I have lost count of the multiple calls and emails with this company regarding the refund. I even had to get the Better Business Bureau involved. Today is April 21st of 2022. Almost six month and no answer, no check.
