I wish I could give negative stars. This is by far the absolute worst flying experience I have ever encountered. We booked 2 tickets to fly from Seattle to Austin TX and back. The fares seemed great until I finished the booking. That’s when I found out if my wife and I wanted to sit together it was going to cost us more, a lot more. Also if our personal item did not fit in their little box thing then it would be an extra $95 because now it registers as a carry-on. Yeah a carry-on that is free with other airlines is almost a $100 here. That’s a person also.
Next the day after I booked we got an email with our itinerary. Our flight was no longer round trip from Seattle to Austin. Now it is Seattle to Denver. 2 1/2 hour layover and then Denver to Austin. Not horrible but still not what we booked. Then comes the return flight. Not Austin to Seattle, no sir, now it’s Austin to Las Vegas and a 16 1/2 hour layover. Then Las Vegas to Seattle. When on the flight if you needed something or had a question good luck finding a flight attendant. On one of our flight we witnessed two of the flight attendants go to the first row of seats and lay down and go to sleep the entire trip. Yep sleep. I really think that Frontier should refund all the money they have received from flights and then just close up shop. It is absolutely horrible and in not ran in a way that makes its customers want to return. Stay Clear and BE WARNED. FLY WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

We booked 3 premium seats in row 2 for the extra leg room and early boarding. We confirmed our seat choices only to have Frontier change our seats splitting our family up where our child can't sit with his parents. Despite communicating with them that our family paid extra to sit together, we were told our only option was to downgrade but at “no extra cost.” They said they couldn’t put us back together despite separating us in the first place. Now our family is forced to fly separately. What’s the point of paying extra and booking seats if it can be changed at any time without warning, notification, explanation, or remedy? We are frequent travelers on multiple airlines and have never encountered such lunacy. We will NEVER fly Frontier ever again.

Terrible company. Avoid at all costs. 100$ for very small personal item. Rude customer service. Don’t do it. Could have flown direct with extra baggage fees on Alaska for less money. The cheap cost you see online is not the price you pay. 2 very small Bags over doubled the cost of flight… Run away.

Frontier made it look like their fares are always cheaper. But their fees on luggage are very high, and they charge for seats! I arrived at their counter 70 mins before the departure time. The girl told me they oversold tickets and no seat left for me. They refused to let me check in and I had to buy tickets with Spirit in order to get to NYC on time. Frontier then refused to give my money back! Totally unbelievable that an airline company thinks they can rob people like this! From doing online research, I found out that apparently they have robbed many other people the same way! There should be a class action lawsuit against this company!

I finally understand why people refuse this airline. They overbooked our flight causing many of us to have check-in errors that prompted us to go to an agent. Because we had to wait forever in line, check-in closed and we had to be moved to the next flight stating it was out of their hands after check-in closes. Still baffled on how flights can be overbooked in the first place. I'd rather fly Spirit.

Frontier Airlines is scamming people out of money, making the most as flights on purpose, the manager in Orlando Florida, name Annie is rude. She closed the airline gates early and made 15 people miss the flight, and changed the gate at the last minute, Frontier doesn’t give refunds or will they move your flight, Frontier Airlines made everyone pay full price for another ticket, it was the worst stressful feeling, I have ever had, with any airline. Don’t fly with them, I rather pay 400 $ for a airline ticket, instead of flying with Frontier.

Worst experience just trying to book a flight on this low cost carrier which actually may be worse than Spirit. Frontier will change the price of a flight while you are paying. I was actively putting in my cc number and when I clicked submit they decided to change the price. There are no other airlines that do this. I fly every single week and can assure you that even Spirit does not change prices while the customer is paying.

Frontier cancelled my 0515 flight after midnight via email. Told me they had no other solution and to fill out a form to see if I qualify for a refund. Gave me a customer service number to call and told me they could not do anything for me in person. I called customer service and the rep hung up on me!!!! I bought a ticket through another airline and made the trip. Still no refund from Frontier. They are a sorry excuse for an airline and will never see another dime from me. The plane was delayed four hours. The counter people extremely rude. Wouldn’t give us any information. They just kept pushing back 1hr at a time. They acted like they were doing us a favor by talking to us. You think it’s a reasonable plane ticket but by the time they get done with all the up charging, it comes out to be more expensive than some of the other airlines with better service.

Frontier is a scam. They cancel our flight 12am in the morning when it was scheduled to leave at 6am. They canceled the flight in the middle of the night by email. This was a family vacation we had planned for months. They said they would refund us for the cancellation. We paid $1900 total for round trip tickets from Denver to Florida. We had to schedule another flight with another airline and paid $2000 for one way tickets to Florida. We flew the return flight on frontier airlines which was still scheduled. However instead of refunding us half of the $1900 we originally paid they would only give us $600 back. Frontier airlines is terrible. The company is a joke. I will NEVER fly frontier airlines again. They cost me over an extra 1k to get to Florida. Frontier airlines are thieves!

The only reason I don't give Frontier Airlines zero stars because it's not an option! The customer service is absolutely horrible! I had a connecting flight from Miami to Chicago and then to Las Vegas. Once I got to Chicago I realized that my flight from there to Las Vegas had been cancelled by Frontier last minute. When I asked the Frontier service rep what will happen to my bag, the response was "I don't know. Usually they fly it out on the next flight." Then I asked when was their next flight to Vegas, the response was "There are no flights for today."
My follow-up question was how was I supposed to get to Las Vegas. The response was "You'll need to find another airlines that might be flying to Vegas". When I asked will I get a refund for the cancelled flight, they just gave me a card with a number and said "Call that number to see if I even qualify for a refund". Long story short - horrible customer service - absolutely no compassion for their customers. I will NEVER fly them again.

Flight was delayed 6 hours and went to the ticket desk because we would miss our connection. She said crowded air space and not their problem even though there was not any other airline in Miami delayed. Told me us missing our flight was not their problem and told us to figure it out when we get to Atlanta 8 hours late. She then threw a card in my face and said, "If you don’t like it scan the card and go to another airline." Supervisor was telling everybody else to get away and they sat there talking. We finally got home 24 hours later and 1700 more spent to get home. Plus they would not give us our luggage back and we have no idea where it is and they won’t help us. Worst airline. So my first issue came as I was on my way to the airport. I was flying out for a funeral. I had paid for a seat, but when I looked they had changed it. Apparently they switched planes and the seat I paid for no longer existed. I received no contact about this. Add in, my ticket stated I could walk short distances, but needed a wheelchair. So tell me why they put me in row 41, the last row on the plane. My initial seat was in row 28 with my daughter who could help me. She was still in her original seat. I would have been in extreme pain trying to get to my new seat.
As I was arriving to the airport I got a notice that my flight was canceled, less than 10 minutes later I got another notice it was delayed. So I get dropped off thinking I have a delay (which I verified with there app) only to get to the counter to be told it was canceled. I had to call my ride back in D.C. traffic to come get me. Their app never showed the cancellation, they just deleted the flight altogether from their list of flights. Oh but 4 hours later in my flights on the app, it still shows it is delayed. The app shows all these on-time flights, but quick check with the airport shows more than half delayed by an hour or more. In the end I missed the funeral because there was not a single flight that could get me there on time, and they don’t work with other airlines to help people find flights.

Frontier Airlines was the complete opposite of accommodating. I normally don’t leave reviews but I’ve never had such a negative experience with an airline I could not stay quiet. This has been my fourth flight in the last couple of days with them and those will be my last. They do not care about their customers, no matter how many fake smiles they show you. Hated my experience with them. Would not recommend to anyone. Choose any other airline.

Do not fly Frontier. We had a 20 hr delay going one way and 4 hr delay going back costing us roughly $600 in extra expenses because all our arrangements at the destinations fell through because of the flight delays. They promised $10 food credit due to the lengthy flight delay and never credited us. Anyways, $10 at the airport is only good for 2 bottles of water. We couldn't even get access to boarding passes because their app didn't work and website didn't work. Airport kiosks didn't accept our confirmation code.
Their customer service rep watched us struggle with their "technology" but wanted to charge $25/person just to print our boarding passes and refused to help us though the technical issues were on their end. They also said, there is no supervisor on site to help us and commanded us to step aside and called next customer in line. Very rude, very unprofessional. Frontier has zero respect for the customers and their reps don't know what customer service means.

Frontier customer service is non-existent and they don't hold their employees accountable for terrible customer service. If you check into a busy airport plan on being at the airport 2 1/2 to 3 hours before flight to get through. You will spend 20+ mins in bag line because not enough employees and good luck getting through TSA to your flight. We arrived at airport 2 hours before flights, and waited 20-25 mins for bag check and an hour 1/2 for TSA. I arrived at my flight when employee was about to close door and she totally ignored me and shut the door while I was standing at the gate talking to her. Flight leaving cost me $200 in car rental/gas, etc. Customer service basically said, "Sorry for your luck," even when another Frontier employee said I would be refunded since it was out of my control of missing the flight. Will never use this company again.

DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR GOWILD PROGRAMS!!! This is the biggest marketing scam since Charles Ponzi invented the Ponzi scheme. Hats off to Barry Biffle for coming up with a program that you buy and can’t use. I tried. I am retired and have the most flexible schedule. I even based out on Florida to get what I thought was the best origins to locations in the Caribbean. And alas, I could only use it once in 6 month term or program AND the cost of the same flight was like $19!!! HUGE SAVINGS- NOT!
Here is what they do:
1) They severely limit the number of seats on each plane. I expected this program to be one which if there was an empty seat, you flew. Not the case at all, which is REALLY STUPID BARRY because if you considered the true economics of your airline, you know it costs nothing to fly an incremental passenger and you could build some great customer GOODWILL (I hope your MBA program taught you that term….) as well as 100% load factors which is always good instead of limiting the frequencies to the lowest fare buckets.
2) They only have seats available at the lowest fare tranches to begin with. You are better off buying the fares as needed.
3) And with the limitation on when you can reserve the seats, the low end fare buckets are full.
This is an ingenious plan by the Ivy League MBAs to maximize forward revenue without the commitment to deliver. GREAT for the corporation. HORRIBLE for the customer. Frontier and Barry Biffle- you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Flight got delayed from 4.04 pm to 9.07 pm. More than 5 hours. No meal vouchers provided even after many request. It was verbally confirmed but no action after that. Supervisor on Gate 12 was very rude. It was mentioned, "There might glitch in system and we are not responsible." It was complete mental harassment with my 2 kid 5 and 11. No flight staff was supportive.
I booked option Flight 4919. This flight also got canceled. Even after many request from everyone it was confirmed for hotel voucher. Only 1 staff was handling issuing new flight option. Arrived at Denver at midnight, slept on the airport floor waiting for our flight out at 4 am. to Minneappolis. We had traveled with backpack as our personal item the whole trip two airlines and it was fine. They fit under the seat and was not an issue. Never had to pay a carry on fee until we went to board in Denver. After scanning our boarding passes the ticketing lady said, "Wait up check those backpacks. You need to pay for those." I said, "We havent had to pay for these. This is our third plane. It is our personal item." She said, "If it doesnt fit You will pay. I am just doing MY JOB." You bet! When I took my card back she went on a power trip stating SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO DENY ME ACCESS FROM THE FLIGHT. I said for what taking my card back. She stated I grabbed it from her. I took my card back and put it away then she repeated three times She had the right to DENY ME ACCESS to my flight do you know that MAM! I have never in my life been so face to face with someone on a power trip. Give her employee of the year, she got you an extra $200 for backpacks, and lost a customer for life. I will never ever give this company a dime of my money again. The most ridiculous experience of my life. When I contacted customer service about this they said well your bag was over the weight limit? My bag was never weighed? It was over the size of the tiny personal item box by an inch but ok. Without a doubt the worst airline experience I have ever had! It isn’t the flights or the flight attendants. They are fine. The seating is like being on a park bench but I can deal with that. They are, after all, a discount airline. The problem is administration and the reservation system and web site! They are beyond miserable! I can’t believe they are still in business! My daughter joined Discount Den and has literally spent eight hours in trying to make reservations for a flight to Colorado. My wife and I have spent countless hours trying to deal with their web site and communicating via text with rude people that are untrained and unhelpful.
We paid the $300 to get their discount fares and have spent hours trying to book flights. We even got the Frontier Master Card and tried to build points toward gold status only to have them tell us via text message that you have to have flight miles to gain toward gold status and purchases don’t count. I could go on and on but if you are considering these guys, I would seriously suggest another airline. We have not had this level of frustration with other discount carriers and of course the majors such as United are terrific.

I will NEVER fly Frontier ever again. Frontier cancelled my flight from Houston to Orlando due to their airplane being out of the required regulatory maintenance schedule. After 5 hours of delays Frontier cancelled the flight because after a certain time the airplane would not be allowed to fly due to it violating its maintenance schedule. Frontier then made believe they were being proactive in resolving the issue and told us an airplane would be coming for us from Denver. After just minutes they said the airplane from Denver was no longer coming and that the flight was just going to be cancelled all together.
You’d think at that point you would get an alternate arrangement for the next day… WRONG they offered a 20 hour total flight from Houston to Arizona then to Orlando not one but three days after the scheduled flight. Your choices were simple. You either take the offered 20 hour flight 3 days later or receive a partial refund and make it your problem to get back home. After experiencing all of this I decided to rent a car and drive back home to Orlando. After arriving in Orlando I made a refund request to Frontier requesting a full refund for all legs of the trip and some compensation for the additional expenses that were incurred due to their negligence, only to be told the cancellation was out of their control & that nothing could be done besides an $81 refund.
Meaning this $300 round trip ticket was now costing me $1100 after the rental expense. LESSON LEARNED. Try to cut corners and fly with these “cheap” airlines, just be prepared to spend way more after being left behind and stranded or worst. At the end of it all you will have paid way more than just buying the expensive ticket to fly with one of the established airlines. Until the DOT or FAA step in and start holding these airlines accountable we will continue to receive the short end of the stick. BUYERS BEWARE. DO NOT FLY FRONTIER, MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS OR PREPARE TO BE SCREWED.

Once we finally boarded the plane the flight crew hung out for about 5-7 minutes chatting and laughing before closing the door for departure. As we begin to finally move in hopes that yay we might actually be leaving after sitting and waiting for 6-7 hours of new ETAS and no updates… then we are grounded due to weather. This was very disappointing and could have been better handled by your crew and staff.
I literally heard a flight attendant or crew behind desk snap at a passenger because he simply wanted to know if a refund was available and he could be moved to another flight since it had been 4+ hours. Tips for improvement: it’s okay say to say we don’t know and we apologize. I didn’t hear that once today. We know it’s spring break but it’s the way you communicate and when you communicate that allow others to be heard even if there is nothing you can do. Align on customer service training and what best practices should be followed when a delay occurs. Ensure that updates are given otherwise all passengers are forced to listen to someone around them instead of knowing for sure what the actual issue is.
Lastly and most importantly: treat others like you want to be treated. A lot of the staff seem pretty annoyed but the batter, eye rolling and profanity could have been minimized with announcements, a bit of emotional intelligence and accountability. I will never fly your company again unfortunately, I love a good nonstop flight. But for the $75 I paid for my bag being 4 pounds over 40, the lack of care from your staff and the fact that the plane has not taken off. It’s a no.

I recently had a deeply troubling experience with Frontier Airlines, an incident that led me to delve deeper into the company's history and business practices. What I discovered was shocking. It appears that my experience was not unique; rather, it is part of a long-standing pattern of customer mistreatment and fraud by this airline. Countless stories echo my own - missed and cancelled flights without proper compensation or recourse, excessive fees, penalties imposed without justification or explanation. These are not isolated incidents but seem to be part of the fabric of Frontier Airlines' business model. We live in an era where big businesses often overlook their most valuable asset - their customers. This petition aims to change that narrative starting with Frontier Airlines. We demand better business practices from this company – fair treatment for all customers should be non-negotiable. My husband, brother, daughter, and I were all booked on the same flight to fly to Florida to see our grandmother. 2 days before our flight was due to depart our grandmother passed unexpectedly. Frontier was far less than accommodating. Offering $186 future airline credit (valid for 90 days) out of almost $700 spent on these tickets. We could not simply change the dates due to the departing flight being so close and not knowing the exact date of funeral arrangements and the funeral being in an entirely different part of the country. We were met over and over with 'as an airline company our policy is'... it's just baffling to me that they have such little compassion and empathy in such a time of tragedy for a family. Other airlines such as Southwest and even Allegiant have been FAR more accommodating in far less of a crisis as death in the family.
I will utilize my credit if able within the next 90 days and then I will NEVER use this airline again and will never recommend it to anyone. I have spent the last 4 hours jumping through absolute hoops to get to this point because they have NO customer service contact other than a chat option or automated system in which the chat option disconnects frequently then you have to start from scratch. I went through 6 different 'assistants' in 4 hours. My brother went through 5 for his reservation. The final conclusion we got "send a copy of your grandmother's death certificate to get $99 back". Respectfully, I hope the CEO of this airline gets what is coming to them. Absolutely disgusting.

My $50-advertised RT ticket was not $50. It was $167 upfront. Not nice. My flight was canceled at the last minute, and then the new flight (which got me up at 3 a.m.) was delayed twice for a total 23-hour late departure on a weekend trip. After the cancellation, I discovered Frontier Airlines does not have humans handling customer service. After trial and error and 45 minutes spent with a chat bot, I rebooked another flight. At Frontier, when you buy a plane ticket, a SEAT IS NOT INCLUDED. I guess they expected me to hold onto the wings. I didn’t know this until check-in when they added to my bill. At this point, it was too late to cancel my trip. They also charged $70 to bring a carry-on. Now my cost was over $360.
Frontier ruined my trip and charged me 6x the advertised price. I wrote an email to Frontier’s Leadership Team members. ALL the emails bounced back. It seems they are not only unavailable for comment, they are banking our money and probably laughing on a yacht somewhere in the Caribbean sipping champagne. FRONTIER. BAD. ALL THE WAY IN EVERY WAY.

The stewardess ask me was I ok, I said and went to sit back down in my original seat. Next thing I know a young ** supervisor approached me, asked me was I intoxicated. I told her NO that I was not intoxicated. She then asked me to come off the flight to speak with her outside. I was confused and repeated that I was fine.
After leaving the flight She said we were going to speak with her manager to make sure I was ok to fly. Next thing I know she said I was not getting back on the flight. I asked her why did she tell me that we were going to speak to a supervisor then? She acted as if she was going to get the supervisor off the plane. She called her coworkers who was standing in front of me on video chat for her to ask me where were my belongings. She claimed she couldn't find them and allowed the flight to leave with all my personal belongings. She also lied and said that she told me I wasn't allowed back on the flight. Why would anyone leave their flight with nothing? My carry on bags, wallet, 2 cell phone, money everything.
They then booked me another flight to Cincinnati which I had a 8 hour layover with no money or nothing. I even had to go through a special clearance to get through TSA because I had no identification. I then went to the Frontier ticket counter to fìle a complaint. After explaining everything I was just told to go online and file it. I was humiliated, angry, embarrassed and I felt powerless that no one did nothing. The supervisor name is Brittany J. Where to start. My wife and I booked a flight to Little Rock for my best friend’s funeral. We were extremely early. Checked in our bag and waited by the gate for hours. The flight was delayed multiple times which is understandable as things happen. They then switched the gate multiple times and in the miscommunication if there was any communication at all, we missed our flight. Even the information desk and boards could not keep up with the correct information.
My wife and I left the airport and have now rented a car to drive 15 plus hours to make it to the funeral tomorrow. Our luggage is in Little Rock and I am told that I can not receive that luggage until after 4pm. The funeral is at 11 am. So we must now either go buy new clothes to look presentable or show up in sweats. You know comfy flying wear. I am appalled by their tactics. No Customer Service to talk to, only through a dang app! They did say that they will refund the flight out but will not refund the flight back. I think it’s the least they could do is comp the flight back as well as we are now out another $800.00 for the rental, gas, sleepless night and now clothes, so I can say goodbye to my best friend.
I am not asking a lot of them. Admit you were wrong and make it right! I plan on being extremely loud about this. I don’t care if I have to find the CEO or the President of the company. This is wrong in so many ways. I don’t want your voucher, your excuses, your customer reps through an app. There is a reason their ratings are so very low and I hope everyone sees this review and makes a better decision about who they will fly with. Also your bag “policy” is a joke. Making people pay $100 for a personal item as a carry on when their bag FIT in the personal item.
Staff were super rude to people that just wanted answers. One passenger had to pay the $100 for a small poster tube and for her personal item that was apparently too big. So overall she had to pay $200 or wasn’t allowed on. For all the fees and baggage fees you might as well fly with a better airline that’s a little more expensive. Because it will more than likely be the same price. We left Minneapolis 30 mins early before our scheduled time to leave. We got to Orlando airport but were not able to get to a gate. We then waited there for an hour on the parked plane.
Most uncomfortable seating, Limited outlets at gate. Staff waiting til the last minute to help people at the counter. Never announced for children under 3 to board before they start calling zones. I'm deeply dismayed by the shocking treatment we endured from Frontier Airlines in Salt Lake City. In all my years of traveling, I've never encountered such appalling customer service. It all began with a simple inquiry about an excessive additional baggage fee. Instead of a polite explanation, we're met with hostility and disbelief from the staff. To our disbelief, we're pressured into paying an extra $100, falsely led to believe it would secure our place on the flight. This marked the beginning of a nightmare. After making the payment, we're abruptly informed that we're not allowed to board due to our 'persistent questioning' about the fees. This arbitrary decision left us shocked and distressed. Adding insult to injury, Frontier made baseless accusations of aggression and even summoned security to intimidate us. Fortunately, the airport personnel, showing more sense than Frontier, attempted to help mediate. Despite their efforts, we're heartlessly denied boarding without any valid explanation.
Desperate for solution, we turned to customer service, hoping for assistance. However, we're met with indifference and apathy. Hours spent in futile online chats yielded nothing but a refusal to refund our money. How can a supposedly reputable airline treat paying customers with such blatant disrespect and dishonesty? Frontier' disregard for basic decency and consumer rights is truly reprehensible. After paying our tickets and luggage, Frontier effectively left us stranded in a city that wasn't our home. We're forced to scramble for funds to book alternative flights. People informed us that this mistreatment was common with Frontier. It's utterly unacceptable to leave paying customers stranded and helpless, especially when it's a recurring problem that the airline refuses to address.

Booking with Frontier Airlines for a family trip to Cancun turned out to be an absolute nightmare. Initially, we thought two checked bags would suffice for our family of five. However, as departure day approached, we realized another bag was necessary. Trying to purchase this additional checked bag online became the first in a series of frustrating failures due to persistent errors stating “passenger details are missing,” both on the browser and the mobile app. Attempts to rectify this through the app only led to more confusion and, ultimately, unintended charges.
Adding insult to injury, our flight to Cancun was delayed by over an hour, with little to no communication from the airline about the delay’s cause or expected duration. This lack of communication became a recurring theme when attempting to resolve the overcharge for baggage. The Frontier customer service was practically non-existent. Attempts to reach out for support through their prescribed channels were met with silence. There was no way to chat or speak to anyone in real-time when we needed it the most.
At the airport, confusion continued. The check-in staff could only confirm three bags were purchased, hinting at a system glitch. This suspicion was confirmed when I later found double transactions for the baggage on my credit card. Despite reaching out to their support via email to explain this clear error on their part, I received nothing but standard, unhelpful responses reiterating their no-refund policy on baggage, completely ignoring the crux of the issue.
Frontier’s handling of this situation showcased their appalling customer service. It seems their low ticket prices are a facade to mask the real costs and headaches. Their system is flawed, customer support is unresponsive, and their policies are rigid to the point of unfairness. I strongly advise against flying with Frontier Airlines. The money you save on ticket prices can quickly be overshadowed by unexpected charges and an utter lack of support. I, for one, will never be flying with Frontier again and recommend others to steer clear if they value their time, money, and sanity.

I have made excuses for Frontier for quite some time. In regards to Frontier, you get what you pay for. The only thing lower than the fares are their standards. They do not communicate when problems arise. Multiple delays. On a return flight from Puerto Rico, the wrong-sized plane arrived all together. Passengers were disembarked, and multiple passengers had been assigned the same seat. After half the plane was unloaded, Reps refused to give any explanation of what was happening, leaving passengers confused and stressed.
The issue I encountered today took over 5 hours of chat to get reconciled. I ended up canceling my flights and fought to have the misleading Discount Den membership refunded the same day it was purchased. My advice to Frontier, raise your fares by 10 percent and improve your horrible customer service. You lost 8 tickets and 7 potential clients today. I have flown with Frontier almost exclusively just about every time I have flown in the last 2 years. I have always been happy with the price and timing of the flights I needed. Up until now I have had very little issues. For both of my flights they split me and my daughter up. We bought the tickets together and we couldn’t be seated together? Of course to be together I had to pay to select the seats. When I arrived at the airport I did the self service check in and tagged my daughter’s field hockey goalie bag. When I went to the bag drop they told me it was overweight, it always is. Sporting equipment is not light. The lady looked at me and said that will be $125, I responded to her that I had already paid for my bag prior to coming. She said I had to pay the overweight fee. I have never had to pay that. I didn’t pay it on my way down 4 days ago. I mentioned to her that they always waive the overweight fee for sporting equipment.
She simply said no and that her supervisor said she had to charge me. So now I have to pay the service fee and over weight fee. I am honestly not upset if this is policy but how is a person supposed to be prepared for this if they are not consistent. Not to mention the sheer lack of caring about the person in front of them asking for clarification. They have absolutely lost a customer after this. Not to mention on the way down they covered my daughter's bag in airplane grease and when I asked the attendant that handles the baggage, she told me that it was just a risk you take when you fly. Only to go online and find out I can file a claim but I had to be within 4 hours of arriving. Glad I didn’t trust her and tried to file the claim but SUPRISE it would not let me. The website does give you the option to talk to a “person” through a chat. After about 10 minutes of trying to get past the auto prompts I finally got a real person I think and they kind of help.
She told me to go online and fill out this feedback form. I told her ok but what about the 4 hour window? She said I will document your account. So we will see if they do anything about that or if it is just another way to screw your over. Thanks Frontier for being America's WORST airline! I truly saved nothing by choosing this airline. I've been a United Airlines fan for years, but recently got hooked into Frontier because of needing to fly DEN to STL for a year. I made the mistake of signing up for their credit card. Similar to their flights, it looked like an amazing deal. After a few months of winding through the Frontier AL maze of add-on charges and loopholes and restrictions, and never getting the miles from the credit card (with mafioso interest rate), then comparing the actual cost for a flight with United AL (which makes everything so simple and easy and clear and fair) it turns out the cost is only a bit higher with United AL. And I get to keep my sanity. And I'm shutting down the Frontier mafioso interest rate credit card that never gave me the miles it promised. I like life without feeling scammed. And I'm willing to pay a bit more for that. Thank you United AL.

I could have got a flight elsewhere to meet my needs on time if they had good customer service.

This is the first and last time we’ll ever take Frontier. We took this flight only because our previous one was canceled. Both airports were somewhat out of the way which is inconvenient but we took what we could get. When buying the tickets, we thought it was ridiculous to be charged $100 extra for a bag over 40 lbs but we went ahead anyway.
When we went to claim our bag, one wheel was missing, one was broken, and another was likely structurally compromised as it broke soon after. I honestly don’t know how a suitcase could be broken that badly if someone tried, let alone if only carelessness was involved. We filed a claim for a refund but they said they wouldn’t help us because we didn’t send the file in the time period that they wanted. Even if there was good reason for that policy, it was unreasonable to expect customers to just “know” that. I tried to explain that and I posted photo proof of the damage (including the time it was taken, which was soon after landing), but they didn’t respond. They didn’t care about proof or security cameras or anything. They just want to penny pinch I suppose, to the expense of their reputation.
This airline doesn’t treat their customers well. Even if you encounter no problems on a flight, they won’t help you if problems arise on the next flight. We wasted too much money on this rip-off of an airline. Steer clear and don’t make the same mistake! Their customer service is awful. It’s better to pay lots more for better service somewhere else.

The pilot said he didn't feel comfortable flying the plane yet they were pushing him to fly the plane with gas leaking and other engine problems. They purposely charge well below every other airline to lure people in to thinking they are the cheapest but once you have the ticket and come to check in that’s when fees start to pile on and not make sense. Literally, they charge you to speak with or check in with a rep for your flight, they are actively looking for any 1lb or 1 inch size difference in your bags so they can tax you an extra $100 for any little thing. I was a fan of the low prices but after watching them charge extra fees to 2 out of 3 passengers on my last flight it disgusts me that they are playing with people who are literally looking for a cheap deal and then taxing them before they jump on the flight where they have no choice but to pay or lose their flight. Many frustrated passengers. I had to pay an extra $200. I would’ve gotten it cheaper at another flight, after you do the math it don’t make sense. Very bad business.

I wanted to cancel my ticket and get reservation credit because the following bookings of rental car and hotel were getting delayed. The original departure time was 6-41pm. But the new departure time was given to be 9-30pm which was 11 minutes before the 3hr mark for free cancellation and getting full refund. We boarded the flight all set for departure at 9-30pm and they made us sit in the flight. It is 10-45 now, 1.5 hrs since boarding and flight hasn’t taken off. This is ridiculousness and cruelty to the core. Just to avoid cancellations they set new departure time to 10mins before 3 hr mark and made us sit in the plane: Also received an email at 9-54pm saying that new departure time is 9-45pm. After waiting 15 more minutes they said the de-icing didn't work and we may have to do it again or return to the gate. More waiting. First time used Frontier in December 2023. I enrolled for Discount Den, then I booked flight from ATL to MIA. I also purchased a checked luggage >40 and 50 pounds for $75 one way, $150 round trip. I got into the airport and to my surprise, I was told that I must purchase the default checked baggage for $63 one way that allows upto 40 pounds before the above purchased checked baggage can be applied. Question: Why did the website allowed me to purchase >40 pound checked bag purchase if <=40 pound bag purchase is a MUST?
I tried purchasing <=40 pound checked bag in their website on my phone at the airport, it threw error and showed the error to the Frontier kiosk member, she suggested me to try from another phone, then again tried using my son's phone, yet it threw error, she looked at my account in her system and found that it has charged 2 transaction of $134 twice for the checked baggage, though it threw error both in my phone and my son's phone. When I reported this issue to the customer care, their blind response is that once the checked bag is purchased, they will not refund. Well it is their BUGGY website using deceptive practice to charge the credit while it throws error to the user, I wanted only one checked baggage, but due to their website issue, it charged twice. Customer service is useless and I did not get a refund of duplicate checked luggage charges from them.
Beware of this issue, they will not refund the money even if it is their website fault. I will never use them again. In fact my checked luggage was 40 pounds only and I also asked the customer service that their website allowed me to purchase >40 pounds if <=40 pound bag is a MUST, asked for refund of $150 as well, but again they did not honor my request as well. You will not save any money flying this airlines. What is strange is there are 2 employees working the self check in baggage and 3 agents at the customer service. So if you are already paying employees to work, then why not keep them busy by checking in baggage and printing out boarding passes. 2 agents were just standing there with nothing to do. I was on the flight last 11/22 from Philadelphia to San Juan Puerto Rico. Frontier assigned me my seat 25A at the emergency exit. I really didn't know about this new protocol and I have used these seats on other occasions without any problems. That day I was using my headphones and I didn't hear well what the flight attendant was saying. As soon as she made her protocol about the emergency exits we all answered "yes" but she looked at me and said: do you understand English? I answered: "a little." She Immediately she told me: I need to change you because the person who is there must understand commands in case of emergency (which is understandable). What is not understandable is the negative attitude with which she treated me. As if I had done something wrong. This happened in front of all the passengers.
She moved me to the second row on the right side of the previous emergency doors. Next to the emergency door there were three young women. And I myself saw how she sold alcohol to that women, and they ended up drunk next to an emergency door. So what's worse? Although my English is not the best, I have the ability to act quickly. On the return trip on 11/26, I sat in seat 12D at the emergency exit and had the ability to tell the young flight attendant to remove the passenger from 12F from the door because she was acting strange and she told me that she consumed **. I also think that they should NOT sell alcohol to people who are at the emergency exits and they should be average adults.

My experience with Frontier: Our family of four arrived at MCO at around the standard two hours before departure and checked in one bag. The security checkpoints power WENT OUT for about half hour and it took us much longer to get through. By the time our family reached the gate, it was closed. Not only did Frontier not take into account the delay through security, the flight left EARLY by their own admission!!
I proceeded to the ticket counter and was told that “the delay wasn’t really all that long” and that we would need to PAY an additional $100 PER PASSENGER to reroute trip- NO EXCEPTIONS. We could wait two more days for next available flight to Laguardia from Orlando or fly to Trenton because “It’s only about a half hour drive or you can take a train into Manhattan” per Frontier agent. We also had to ‘reroute’ our hotels and eventually arrived in Trenton close to midnight, with no luggage. We then realized that Trenton is about a two hour drive to Manhattan, so we scrambled to reserve a rental car.
The following day (the only Saturday of our vacation) we rent a car on our own dime and drive early to NYC and head to LGA to pick up our luggage. (I quickly find that there is no Frontier staff available on a Saturday until 3:30 pm.) I finally reach the counter and attendant tells me that our luggage is not at the airport, but that it was in the next incoming flight from Orlando (5:30 pm arrival). I wait an additional two hours only to find that our luggage did NOT ARRIVE IN THAT FLIGHT. I speak with another Frontier agent who also searches for the bag and tells me that she has no clue where it is. I then ask to speak with a supervisor on duty and am told that I have to wait an hour.
At around 6:30 pm, I explain AGAIN the situation to the supervisor and she tells me that the luggage MAY be in Orlando because it would not have boarded the plane if the associated passenger did not (this would mean that the luggage is placed in plane after the passenger boards – this is completely absurd), or that it MAY be in Trenton, but that I nevertheless need to file a missing luggage claim.
At this point, I was obviously very upset and let the supervisor know that as supervisor and customer service agent, she should call Orlando and Trenton to VERIFY if the luggage was at any of those locations (customer service 101). I was literally told that I was ‘ACTING LIKE A VICTIM’! I again explained that it is reasonable for a paying customer to expect the airline to try to find missing luggage, and asked if I should wait there until she called the locations or if I should go to hotel and wait for a call. The supervisor asked me to sit while she called Trenton. A minute later the supervisor comes with MY MISSING LUGGAGE. She said that it was in a closet, turned around and left without issuing any sort of apology. Perhaps she expected me to apologize for complicating her shift.
Result of trip with Frontier: Down about an additional $500, LOST ONE FULL WEEKEND DAY OF VACATION, and extreme STRESS. To rub a little salt in wound I was offered a $50 voucher per person for next trip with Frontier (the one thing Frontier does not lack is humor). Below is excerpt from Customer Relations ‘Specialist’, Lisa C’s reply for refund of additional fees and costs. Corporate CYA at its finest…
“I've taken this opportunity to conduct a final review of your case and we find out your original flight departed before because it was ready having on mind all our times to ensure your flight policies. I am glad to see that you ultimately completed your trip and arrived at your destination despite the temporary disruption. Since you were able to use your ticket and complete your travel, we are unable to honor your request for a refund.“

This airline is very deceiving with the charges especially for luggage. There is no longer any way to get help for the consumer in a reasonable way or time. No phone number, no agents that can make any changes. The online check in is not upfront about the fee system. While choosing my luggage to pay for, a button popped up saying save over $300 by clicking here and bundle your luggage. I ended up being $330 more. I tried to check in with the agent at check in and she said there is nothing she could do. I asked at the ticket counter after getting off the plane and they said there is nothing they could do and to ask for a refund at the online chat with Frontier. I have spent 1.5 hours with online chat and they say there is nothing they can do after the flight. Flying with Frontier feels like getting scammed by a major airline. They show cheap flights and then end up being more expensive with the worst flying experience and horrible customer service.

The customer service is absolutely terrible and rude. We flew a Frontier with brand new luggage less than a year old and frontier damaged the bag so bad on the return flight it was completely unzipped and our clothes were hanging out when it came off the carousel. I reached out to them and they were so rude, unwilling to help at all, they said it was normal wear and tear - normal wear and tear doesn’t happen the second time a bag is taken on a trip when it’s less than a year old.
I filed a claim as soon as we got our luggage while we were still standing in the Atlanta airport and went days without hearing back so I contacted them on social media, and from there I was passed along to a couple different people in the message chain like I wasn’t important to them. I don’t understand how an airline company refuses to refund the less than $100 for the luggage THEY damaged. They were extremely argumentative. This will be our last frontier flight. They charge for everything. I’m surprised they don’t charge for air on the flight too. The flight attendants and the flight crew were amazing. But their customer service that helps on the backend is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. It’s worse than AT&T. Frontier, learn to treat customers respectfully and you might have more.

I was told that I should have done my check in on their app the app, added fees that I didn't want or need and when I talked to the agent upon check in I was told that they couldn't remove the charges and I would have to pay them or I couldn't get my ticket. The app added a Carry on bag that I didn't have and the agent was really nice. She did everything she could to help me get the n the plane. She did tell me that my bag wasn't a personal item and I would have to pay for it so I went back home and changed my bag and by the time I got back to the airport I had ten minutes before I could complete my check in.
That's what the agent told me and then told me that I would have to pay 25 dollars as fee plus the Carry on fee and I was told that I would have to go through the TSA check point in order to pay the 25 but after I did go through the check point I was told that if I didn't pay for the personal Carry on I wouldn't be able to get on the plane if I did pay for both and then I assume a supervisor walked up and looked at the computer and said, "He ain't checked in so he can go back to his house," and so I called their customer service on the phone and tried to reschedule the ticket for another day and they told me that I would have to pay for another ticket and all and it wasn't their problem that I wasn't able to get on my flight and they couldn't move the flight to another day or anything at all so in closing DON'T FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES UNLESS YOU HAVE A UNLIMITED SUPPLY OF MONEY THAT YOU WANT TO GIVE AWAY.

That I had to stand in another line and book another flight. This costed me another $163, $99 for the new flight which didn't leave for another 15 hours, so I spent the night in the airport. Then $63 with the baggage fee to check it in otherwise it would have been $74 to bring it with me on the plane to put in the overhead compartment. The fare rate was good, to fly. To bring the things you need for your trip? Not good! $68 for a backpack or small suitcase? $23-45 to choose a seat. No beverage service unless you are paying for your drink. A lady on my flight had to “order” water because they don’t do a beverage service. The seats on their brand new plane were like recycled milk carton yard furniture. They spent 20 minutes talking about how good of an airline they were and ended the spiel with an advertisement to get their credit card. The crew was nice, but the counter lady in Minneapolis seemed like she didn’t want to be there and her only role was to say which group to board and monitor bag sizes so you could pay. The guy who scanned tickets was dressed like ground crew. One of the flight attendants looked like she didn’t comb her hair that day. Like she got out of bed and threw it in a clip. They were all nice, friendly and helpful.
Overall, I felt like this airline’s isn’t really about customer service. Their focus is on charging their customers for everything but not providing anything but a ride. If I had added a backpack, a seat closer to the front and a beverage, my ONE-WAY flight would have been around $300. Wow! Thanks for being the affordable airline choice. No, I won’t be flying Frontier again.

We 4 (2 Adults and 2 Kids) travelling from Orlando to NJ back home. We have been trying to check in system way before the departure 6-8 hours prior. They gave 2 separate reservation not sure why. System allowed us to check-in 3 passengers reservation but not 1 PASSENGER reservation when trying to do at the same time.. maybe couple of minutes of interval.. We have been trying to check in 6 hours prior to departure since morning and continuously tried and were getting server errors. Reached airport and no customer service addressed the check-in issue, so no boarding pass. I decided to stay back and work with Frontier staff and asked my family to go ahead. They went thru the security and reached there will before the closing time but staff denied my family to on-board the flight who were there at the gate at 2:00 pm. Well before boarding closing time 2:08 pm and flight take off time was at 2:23 pm.
Not sure what's the reason while they allowed other passenger to onboard while they stopping my wife and kids. My family felt that they have showed discrimination against our race/nationality and felt very bad, argued but nothing worked, Not only my family, they stopped several passengers of the same race/nationality. This is not at all tolerable. Also it looks like they have assigned our 3/4 seats to someone else. How can they do? Initially they treated it as separate reservations now they treated it as one group. My family had to came back and Frontier charged 99.99 for each passenger for re-booking and they did not provide the flight for same destination.
If there is no mistake from airlines, why did they allow us for rebooking, so that means definitely there is issue with their system, proof is several other passengers faced the issue and racism/discrimination by the onboarding staff not allowing particular race/nationality to onboard while allowing others. Due to the above issues, we had to book the hotel, rent car and cancel my plan over the weekend home and Monday. In addition we had to take Lyft from one airport to other airport to pick up my car and pay for extended parking. This is not just me or my family feedback, but 100s of passengers affected by these on that day, you might have received similar complaints from several passengers. We still did not come out of the nightmare, trauma and stress that me and my family had to face, not in a position to think of flying with frontier again or recommend others.

Very rude personnel and very uncomfortable flight. Baggage made its way back the next night and a random person whose luggage was apparently also missing from that flight found my mom's luggage and called us. Insane.

Worse experience of my life traveling with this Frontier Airlines from Cancun. We had a great anniversary trip till the day we’re suppose to fly home which unfortunately did not happen. Here begin the story of the nightmare. We arrived to the airport 3.5 hours prior to take off. We went to the airport lounge to wait for the flight. We left the lounge with plenty time prior to flight leaving and once we got to the gate the ticket agents said they wouldn’t let us on even though we had another 20 plus min before they take off. Instead they told us because they boarded early and we weren’t there they were looking for our luggage to remove it from the plane (doing this wasted more time than letting us on the flight). I then asked what will happen? How do we get home since at the time we had nowhere to go or stay. All the ticket agents would say is, "Sorry. Nothing I can do. Please go to immigration."
We tried to change the flight but they weren’t accommodating. So at this time we’re taken to baggage claim and have nowhere to go or another flight. I was told to speak to customer service to see how we can get another flight. Well I walked to customer service and they were all walking out for the day. They told me, "Sorry we’re closed. We’ll be back tomorrow." Sayyy whattt. What airport closes and doesn’t have the staff to help!!!! Insane!!!! AT THIS POINT CANCÚN FRONTIER AIRLINES AND AIRPORT LEFT US STRANDED WITH NO HELP.
So then the next day we’re back at the airport present for the flight and get on this time. Now boarding time should have ended and then we overhear the flight attendants speaking with the same ticket agents from the day prior saying they’re waiting for two more before taking off. WTH and they wouldn’t let us on. I’m so disappointed and need answers!!!!

Management needs to address the luggage size and pricing of carry on items because it is absolutely unacceptable what happened to me and many others in this flight. I was able to fly with my backpack/personal item under the seat from Minneapolis to Denver with no problems but upon my return flight I was forced to pay for a carry on bag which cost DOUBLE at the gate ($100) than what it would have cost online ($45) and was the price of the flight ticket ($98) itself!!!! On top of all this, on the departing flight from Minneapolis to Denver, our flight was delayed 1.5 hrs because of weight distribution issues due to the plane being top heavy.
The plane was top heavy because no one had a checked bag; instead everyone paid and planned ahead to have either a carry on bag or personal item. So people were forced to check their luggage in order for us to take off. So what this business model shows is that even when you plan ahead and have either a personal item or carry on item you will still be forced to pay more and NOT get what you paid for because of this airline’s poor pricing and management of baggage. I’ve flown on MANY different airlines and am a frequent traveler and never have I encountered this type of robbery.

A half hour later I didn't hear anything from Frontier or its employees, so I went back up to ask when we can board the plane. They assured me that they still didn't know, and that they would update me as soon as they found out. This continued for the next two hours. I am an ELITE Frontier member. Upon boarding, I had simply asked what time we arrived in Ontario as I boarded. Tony replied “230”. I was confused to what 230 meant. Tony must have overheard my Conversation incorrectly as I stated to someone “I don’t understand why that was so hard for me to understand”. Tony thought I was talking about her and became upset. She said aggressively “It’s two hours and 30 minutes from take off. I DO understand!”. We continued to exchange a heated conversation.
I was told “Do you want to get kicked off this flight? YOU DON’T HAVE TO FLY”. Emily came over to rectify the situation and apologize for Toni’s behavior and asked me to not to continue with her. Emily stated “I apologize. I’m not going to kick you off this flight, but I can’t have you escalate. You can go to frontier.com to file a complaint”. I then informed Emily that she did not have to apologize but Tony was the one that should have been the one to apologize. Tony clapped her hands directly in my face and stated “You’re absolutely right… BUT I WONT”. I was then seated and buckled in. Tony did not like the responses I had, was on a power trip, and asked the floor manager to deplane me. The manager informed me (to my surprise) that he was told the staff said I was pushing people out of the way (A COMPLETE LIE) and Tony requested I be deplaned.
I then asked to have the passengers that I allegedly pushed identified but they could not be. In order to continue my flight home and prevent further inconvenience and delay the other passengers on this full flight, I was told that the only way I could continue was to speak Tony to okay me to stay on. After a forced, degrading, belittling and humiliating conversation with Tony where I promised “…not to have an attitude” I proceeded with the flight. I know you get what you sign up for with frontier (and this review probably won’t get me anywhere). I am compelled to write this review. Tony's behavior towards me was far from unprofessional… It was disgusting.
Tony needs to get off her high horse and stop abusing her title as “flight attendant” by speaking to paying customers disrespectfully and using her threatening behavior on the flight. She felt empowered with her threats when in fact she was in the wrong by misunderstanding what I said in the first place. Do better frontier. Hire people with some morals!

I accidentally booked a flight on Frontier Airlines after my husband had already done so. I caught the error immediately and called Frontier to cancel. They went through their whole no refund deal but then said they’d make an exception. After going on and on about how they will fix this for me, not to worry, they told me they would give me credit that must be used in 90 days. OK… not the best deal but I was ok with it UNTIL they said I have to pay them $99! WOW!! Talk about taking advantage of your customer. I will NEVER fly Frontier.

I reached the check-in line 2hrs earlier to the boarding time. There is a long line running approx ~60 people but there is only two members present at the desk - one helping with the luggage and other checking the ID’s. There is no preference for the passengers as per the flight timings - ridiculous. When asked to allow us to check in ours first as we are getting delayed, their response “we are not bothered about whether you are left with 10mins to board, stay in the line and wait for your turn”. Due to which I missed my flight. And they force us to reschedule concluding no refund - left with no choice and paid additional $100 for the ticket. Frontier: NOT RECOMMENDED.

Flying out of ATL on Oct 09, 2023, I arrived at the airport 2 hours early as they say to. Once I arrived only to see a Frontier Airline line that is wrapped around the parameter of the airport lobby. They had an attendant supervising both line one that wrapped around the airport lobby and the other one to precheck bags or see the attendant. Once I approach the counter with an agent she stated to me that I was 5 minutes too late in order for her to drop my bags. I responded by saying, "Ma'am I have been in line since 5a.m." I also asked her can she send my bags on another flight and allow me to go through security to catch my flight, she said no that I would have to come back in the morning to get the next day's flight. She also said be on time tomorrow.
I stated to her that it was not my fault that Frontier had only one customer rep in the beginning and they slowly add reps. I said, "Ma'am I have already turned in my rental car and have no family nor friends in this area." She said just hang out here in the lobby, I said that doesn't work for me. She said that she could get me on the next flight to North Carolina, stay there for 8 hours then catch the next flight to Denver getting to Denver around midnight (no certainty that I won't have a layover there too.) So I had to purchase a 400$ ticket another carrier in order to get to Denver.
My cheap ticket with Frontier was really expensive and cost me. This very unprofessional airline cost me more money than it did if I would have gone with a reputable company such as Delta, United, and American. At this point Southwest is better than Frontier. The U.S. FAA need to suspend or revoke them for 2yrs or until they get better services. I am closing out my account with them and giving them back their credit card. If I knew how to make them pay for my second ticket with Southwest I would. This was a lesson well learned never fly cheap!

The most ridiculous experience I have ever had traveling. I would rather rent a car and drive than fly with Frontier again. The agents only care about collecting as many extra fees as possible. A normal/good airline is the same price once you add the fees (checked bag fee, bag overweight fee and if it is over 39 lbs., it is considered by this low budget airline to be overweight and carry-on bag fee). Who charges for a carry-on bag - what nonsense. Zero entertainment on board.
*If you PAY FOR and take a carry-on bag of any kind, they will require you to stuff the bag into the UNDERSIZED bin at the gate - this bin is not a "standard airline" sized bin, it is a undersized bin that Frontier has fabricated to collect yet another fee, so prepare to pack undersized and underweight in every category or pay extra. Here is the best idea - take any other airline to avoid the stress and added cost by traveling with Frontier - Thank God it was just my wife and me traveling this time.

My flight landed at 4 pm on a Wednesday, it’s now Friday at 4 pm and no update on my lost suitcase which I PAID to have checked in. We booked through Priceline which saved money, but caused an even bigger hassle losing all my stuff and having to buy new things. Next time I will pay more to go with a more reputable airline. Most people who have been in this position with other airlines have got their luggage returned to their home within 24 hours. DO NOT FLY FRONTIER, they are irresponsible. Absolutely the worst airline to ever exist in the USA.
1st NO customer service direct on the phone with NO phone number to call as of 3 months ago which is unacceptable.
2nd You can't make any changes if there is a problem and they have NO alliance with NO airline if a flight cancels or if you are delayed and miss a connecting flight leaving you either stranded at a airport till the next day or two and worse you can't even get a refund if it the same day if you decide to go with a different airline to get where you need.
3rd The worst part is you will end up paying 4 times the orginal ticket if you end up booking a different airline the same day on top of no refund.
4th Frontier charges for even a carry on and if you have to check a bag on top of it" it's around $100 more dollars per person and anywhere from $25 to $75 to pick a seat costing on average above your what you thought was a cheap ticket. Long story short it's an average of $150 to $200 per person after you book. That is so blindsiding and should be illegal and ends up being the cost of a good Airline like American, Delta, United all of which have alliances with other airlines reducing your risk in my opinion by 80 percent compared to this big time loser as an airline pointed out.
I booked and gave the benefit of the doubt stupidly 3 dumb times and got burned all 3 times losing the money I paid because I had to book a different airline each time with it impossible to get my money back. If you have a half of brain do yourself a favor and truly don't put yourself in any situation with this airline.

This is the first I use Frontier. A lot of friends told us to stay away with Frontier, but I made wrong choice. Now let me tell you my experience.
1, I booked tickets 4 month earlier, fly itinerary change 5 times. Last change they put us arrive next day without any notice, caused big problems.
2, Unable to print out boarding passes after checking in. We used 5 printer, passes came out half of it was covered with ads. Later we realized, Frontier change $25 each to print out boarding passes.
3. We used Frontier check in link (Frontier emailed to us) to check in, found seat were separated. They wanted us to buy bundle which covered family members and round trip, seat and carry on luggage. My husband paid $242 +6+68=$316 to resolve this problem. But when we checked in for returning trip, we found we are separated again. Chat with Frontier representative. He couldn’t not find any records that we bought bundles. Where the money went? He said maybe thirty party. How third party got in your system and changed our first half fly statuses? He couldn’t answer. Just said, if no further questions, goodbye.
When got back used big computer, we printed out receipts Frontier changed credit card another $256, if $132 is for checking luggage, what is $124 for? The representative insisted he could not find any transactions that we paid bundle, why we can print receipt from Frontier website? No choice. We paid $132 for 2 bags check in. As a result. One bag lost. With all these frustrations. My husband became dizzy, fell at car parking place. Although we got our bag back, damage already done. We found you sent our bag to Denver.
4, Besides our experience, we saw some other passengers suffering also. One lady destination was Phoenix, appeared in our plane to California. Found out before door closing.. One family’s seats were separated randomly, a 2 year old boy in front of us was separated from parents. Could not stop crying. Luckily, there were a lot of empty seat for this flight, finally the boy was able to stay with his dad.
I share my experience with everybody, just hope everyone make good choices to have a peaceful and safe trip.

It does not work and if you are Lucky and get the Flight, IT WOULD BE CANCEL, without any notice. Frontier Airlines has left me with the impression that They are more interested in taking advantage of your customers than in providing a reasonable level of service. Arrived in Dallas to seat on the tarmac for 1 hour waiting on ground crew. I've flown a lot for business, but Frontier Airlines is by far the WORST airline I have ever experienced. When she went to retrieve her bag it was nowhere to be found. A lost bag complaint was immediately filed. Frontier staff stated they thought it had to be stolen by another passenger. Twelve days later we were contacted by Houston airport to arrange pick up of a bag reported missing 12 days earlier. Houston Frontier had no clue the bag had been reported missing. We had to request that the bag be flown back to Conn. We filed claim for $100.00 worth of dated medication boxed too large to carry on the plane so it was packed in luggage. I recently had the unfortunate experience of flying with Frontier Airlines, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. My flight, F9 2271 from New York to Atlanta on September 24th, was plagued by a series of issues that left me deeply frustrated. To begin with, the flight had a substantial delay of over an hour. The real problem, however, emerged during the boarding process. The airline staff, who seemed ill-prepared and stressed, mishandled the situation. The announcement that the flight would be canceled if not airborne by midnight added unnecessary tension for all passengers.
My frustration reached its peak when I realized that the Frontier Airlines mobile app had deleted our boarding passes due to the delay, rendering them inaccessible. Despite completing check-in at the airport, the boarding passes mysteriously vanished from the app. This issue was poorly managed by the staff at the gate, who were both unhelpful and rude. What truly bewildered me was the sudden demand for a $25 fee per ticket to reprint my friends' boarding passes, even though I had just received mine without any charge. This arbitrary fee felt like a punitive measure rather than a reasonable solution to a problem caused by the airline's delay and app malfunction.
In summary, my experience with Frontier Airlines was marred by delays, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior from staff. The arbitrary fee for reprinting boarding passes added insult to injury. I sincerely hope the airline addresses these issues to improve the overall passenger experience. My advice to future travelers would be to carefully consider their choice of airline, as Frontier Airlines left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.

Upon arrival the area in front of Frontier was full of people, and as I went to check in on the kiosk it told me I was not checked in. I got in the long line to speak with someone and while I was waiting, someone got over the loudspeaker stating our flight was canceled and we needed to get in the line where their international flights were to get a new flight booked. As we waited in the international flight line for two hours with only one clerk occasionally two clerks, they were very unhelpful, unfriendly and didn’t really seem like they wanted to help at all.
When I asked about new flights the only ones they had were 10-12 hour layovers that were going to put you the next day or evening at your destination which in reality would’ve been more than 24 hours that we would’ve been waiting between airports, and that was not an option as we were traveling with a two month old baby. I even watched one of the clerks grab her purse and her water jug and leave when there was still approximately 30 people standing in line, and now there was not a single attendant to help them. Customer service phone number is not helpful either and they don’t seem to understand what you’re trying to tell them. This time, I booked a trip for two people. My flight coming back had a layover. I had to pay $65.00 x3 for my bag instead of 2x. Then I received an email saying we were assigned seats. I never been assigned seats prior to checking-in for my flight (even when I flew with them back in May). Well, they assigned us seats that aren’t together either. I mean.. isn’t that why people book seats together vs separately? I get if I purchased them separately or if I forgot to check in, but looking on their website and the seat availability, they still have a lot of seats left. This is just a clear indication what a scam this airline is!
The minimum cost to pick a seat is $25 per seat, so now they want me to pay $50 minimum just so we can sit together on one of our three flights that we have with them.
