Reserved a car for our vacation in Arizona. Arrived at Sky Harbor this past Tuesday and went to pick up the car. Stood in a short line for a really long time. The agent talked us into upgrading from a Toyota Camry to a Chevy Camaro convertible. Fine, thought our son would love it. Ended up spending more than twice as much as we were quoted but the upgrade was our choice. The insurance and additional driver fee was a surprise. Put the top down on the first day and it wouldn't go back up. Also couldn't unlock the trunk with our luggage and medications inside. Called customer service and they suggested we take it to a local Chevy dealer. Great way to spend our first day of vacation!
The dealership was able to get the top up and open the trunk but said there was a warped part and we would not be able to put the top down again. Called customer service again (the rep was in Guatemala) and he said we could return to the rental office and create a new reservation. We had already spent the first day of our vacation dealing with the vehicle and did not want to have to drive back to the airport and wait in a 2 hour line again. The "customer service" rep said that was our only option. We decided just to keep the vehicle and not put the top down.
For the past 2 days we have been calling the direct number to the Phoenix location but nobody answers. We have left messages as requested. Our calls have not been returned. I emailed customer service and haven't received a response. I think we should get a discount for our trouble. I'm afraid of being charged for the warped part because this company seems very shady. Also, we found a bunch of garbage under the seats (a box of Triscuits and pop bottles). I wish I would have gone with a well known, reputable company. This company did not end up being more economical with the added fees, we wasted a day of vacation finding, driving to, and waiting at the dealership not to mention the time spent on the phone with "customer service". I hope things go okay when we drop off the vehicle tomorrow.

Rented a minivan from E-Z on February 22, 2017. The vehicle had bad tires. After driving it for 2 days, a rear tire was going flat. I called for service, and they actually had a team member bring me another vehicle where I was staying. All was well. On Monday, February 27, 2017, I returned the car. The agent there walked around the entire van with me, There was NO DAMAGE noted, and I was advised that everything was good. I boarded my flight and returned home.
On or about March 3, 2017, I received a "Notice of Claim" from PurCo Fleet Services advising me that a claim was being set up for a "Damage Incident" that occurred on February 28, 2017, and there was no need to respond. I called and spoke with Laura **. She advised me that there was a chip in the windshield on the driver's side, and it would probably cost $30.00 to repair PLUS a $10.00 administrative fee. I disputed the claim, as the date of loss was February 28, and I returned the vehicle on February 27, 2017, and it was inspected at that time and was advised I was good to go.
On April 3, 2017, I received a bill for a replacement windshield from Safelite Autoglass ($165.00), 2 days "loss of use" ($122.00), and a $50.00 administrative fee. There was also a handwritten note telling me the damage was on the car when I returned it, along with some pictures. The alleged damage was in the driver's field of view, so there is no way I could not see it. I again called Laura to dispute the charges, and advised her that I would not pay it. She advised me that she reports to credit bureaus and she would do so if I did not pay the bill. I advised her that I would contact my attorney if we cannot resolve this issue. I would like someone from E-Z rentals to call me to discuss this matter.

Reserved a car thru E-Z Rental prior to our flight into FLL. Agreement states balance will be $158.24. After check at E-Z Rental (Advantage Rental Car) my balance was upped to $373.89. I understand there was a $200 security deposit, but that was added onto the $373.89 for a balance of $573.89 when my original quote was $158.24. I looked over my rental record once I got to my rental car. The customer service rep billed me for insurance that I did not ask for, nor want. I went back to have her remove the insurance and I was told it is the law in Florida. (My Insurance would cover a rental, I looked in to this prior to renting.)
We leave the FLL & on our way up I95 my tire pressure light comes on. I stop and put air in it. We reached our destination... overnight it lost 12 lbs of pressure. We had a full day and I did not have time to contact E-Z Rental (Advantage Rental) which the Oil Change light and the Service Seat belt alerts came on. Again, I put air in the tire Thursday night (44lbs like the other tires) to wake up to 28lbs of pressure Friday morning. *Disgusted*
So, I call the number at the top of my rental agreement 1-800-777-5500 on Friday Morning. Call #1, I went thru the channels and spent 21 minutes being transferred around and was finally placed on hold. I'm on hold for 20 minutes and I use my son's phone and call again. Call #2, I explain the situation of Call #1... and as I'm explaining Call #1 it was currently 51 minutes and I was on hold for 30 of that, someone disconnects the line of Call #1. I was shuffled around on Call #2 again and I demanded a direct number that I was given... 954-359-8007 the direct line to E-Z rental in FLL airport. I call this number to be placed on hold AGAIN. Nope, I hang up and call back demanding a manager. She put me thru to Neil who I explained the situation to. I have a tire that keeps losing air, Oil Change & Airbag notification. By now I have been on the phone for over 2 hours with this company playing phone tag.
I am 100 miles from FLL & Neil states that he is short staffed and asks that I take the car to have the tire repaired at a tire shop, for this he will give me $100 off my bill. After much disgust, I agree. I am on vacation, I've spent more than expected on this car, this should not be my responsibility, and I am currently 5 hours in on the phone calls & finding a repair shop. Repair shop looked at the tire and could not fix it. There was a nail on the inside side wall. E-Z rental gave me a vehicle with a nail in the side wall! We could have wrecked if that tire blew!! I go back to our home and call Neil. I explain that the tire is not fixable and I ask for another vehicle. He asked if I was still at the tire shop to have the tire repaired.
This is NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY and I should NOT have to deal with this while on vacation! I spent 10am-2pm on St. Patrick's Day dealing with this car. I told him I'm done, I want another car because I did not feel safe driving it down I95 with a nail in the sidewall. I was told the car would arrive at 5:00, car arrived at 5:40... Yes we were late to our reservations. I received another rental agreement, charges $258.46. Returning the car 2 days later at the FLL airport where upon checking the car in, the lot attendant informed me everything would be sent via email. I questioned my refund and was told it would be taken care of.
2 days later... I'm billed the full amount. My first rental agreement was for $373.89, the revised agreement was for $258.46 and I was charged $341.70. That is not $100 off. So I call Neil the manager at FLL location on Tuesday, only to find out Neil wasn't in. Neither was the other manager for that fact. It was a Tuesday morning and there wasn't a manager on duty? I was told to call back the next day, which I could not do due to work schedule. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I emailed Advantage/E-Z Rental and was given a credit of $83.24. Basically, #1 they charge over what the quote, #2 their customer service is non existent, #3 they do not follow thru with promises, #4 you better hope you don't have issues with your vehicle. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

At the Phoenix airport, we waited in line while three (sometimes only two) clerks dealt with a very long line of customers. Two of the clerks took what looked like lunch breaks while we waited. It took us almost two hours to get to the rental desk. The clerk was very accommodating, but we did not plan for a two-hour wait simply to pick up a car we had already reserved and paid for. What a ridiculous waste of time. E-Z may be inexpensive, but it's not cheap. You pay for your savings in wasted time.

Reserved a Toyota Camry but Tammy insisted she would upgrade us to a Rav since we had golf clubs. We told her we were fine with the Camry but she said she'd get us a great deal. Ended up costing us $300+ more for the week. Our bad, didn't look at the rental agreement she had us quickly sign but verbally she told us it was $45/day, not additional, just $45/day. Ended up that was the upgrade cost. She acted like this was a real deal for us, we paid $900 to rent a Toyota Rav for a week. For that price, I'd expect a Corvette convertible. Complained to Casey at Phoenix airport (very unprofessional) and also called corporate customer service with no resolution. Will never use them again.

So I rented a car from this company. Pick up was a 1:00 am after a long flight. At the desk I spoke with a kind lady that help me through my paperwork, or so I thought. She asked me if I wanted extra insurance which I said no, and was very pushy on getting a fuel purchase option (fpo). Once we talked about all the options I was left it initial all the paperwork. This is done on small screen that you use to swipe your card, in which you can only read two line at a time. After glancing through the first 3 out of 7 which all read "by initialing here you declined to purchase...". Now I know this part is my own fault, but I initialed by a #6 in the list label RLP (renter liability protection) saying I agreed to this. Completely missed it! Now when the paperwork printed out the deposit of $200.00 was on the bill and I ask that seems pretty high. She then explained the deposit will be refunded and the red flag went away.
Later that day after I got a few hours of shut eye. I looked back through it and saw the $13.95 a day charge for RLP. So I immediately called the corporate number which they told me they couldn't help I need to call the ATL branch. So I called no answer. I call 4 times throughout the day then left a message for a call back. Never got a call back. I called a few times the next day... No answer. Keep in mind I am trying to meet family and enjoy my short trip with them. Then I called the corporate number the next day and when they gave me the same response. I told them I can't get anyone to pick up the phone at that location. Then they patched me through to the manager in ATL. This is the part where I don't have any leverage. Yes, I initialed by the statement I want insurance. And it could be a con on my part to ask for insurance and after my time is up say I don't want it. Seems like something someone would do right? Have the insurance and not pay for it.
The manager said he would meet me in the middle and refund half of the days. I said, "Fine, after 3 days of this I'm done..." Later that day I'm grabbing something out of the glove box when I find another rental agreement from the last person that rented the car. Surprise surprise! Line #6 "by initialing here, you agreed to purchase RLP". The person only had the car for 2 days and probably didn't notice. Their signatures were only a scribble. I think the best part is how they didn't put it all the way at the end. Second to last to try to hide it. They got me. Hopefully if you were patient enough to read this they won't trick you.

I could not get my money back, could not get my bill. I send three mails but they did not respond yet. They said they will pay 200 USD back but they did not. The attitude of the workers in Los Angeles airport was bad. It is the worst company I have ever met. I am still trying to get my bill and money and still no response.

When I rented the car the Agent at the counter charge for the one day rental and the Deposit and he says in 10 days they will return the funds on my account and it's been 3 months and they haven't reimburse me the money. When I call the customer service and claims they don't give a solution.

I wish I had read the reviews about E-Z Rent-a-Car making false claims to customers about damage before I rented from them last week. I was given a rental vehicle in Boston which was damaged and that damage was noted when I picked up the car. The associate said that "some kid" had severely dented the car. I returned the car the next day during normal working hours at 3 PM. NO additional damage was noted when the car was returned.
One week later I find that I am being harassed on a daily basis by someone from PurCo, a known scam organization, who is claiming that I damaged the vehicle. An internet search of this outfit shows that they are known for attempting to extort money out of rental car customers, threatening and harassing them. Obviously this scam organization obtained my name, personal phone number and email from E-Z Rent-a-Car. This is a serious data breach. At no time did E-Z Rent-a-Car say anything to the effect that I had returned the vehicle in an unacceptable condition or indicate that there might be a problem.
I have spoken with agents from EZ Rent-a-Car twice about this matter, both have assured me that I returned the vehicle in acceptable condition and that there was "nothing in the damage notes". I spoke with the first associate after being called by PurCo; she said to "ignore" the scammer. I called the second one after receiving a report from the scammer regarding the vehicle. The report was dated two days after I returned it, with 27 additional miles from what it had when I turned it in. The second associate said she would open an investigation and in the meantime not to reply to the scammer from PurCo. Nonetheless, this scam outfit PurCo now has my contact information and is harassing me on a daily basis. What kind of company turns over full contact information from their customers to a known scam organization to harass their customers? I find this unacceptable.

The agent kept upcharging me, pressuring me, adding hidden fees with acronyms that upon inquiry were things I did not want. Ended up costing me double the quote. The agent tried to add everything he could. I said no, he put something else in the agreement. I was quoted with all taxes and fees, $138. The cost after the strong-arming, hidden fees etc. was $244. I'll never rent from them again. Scam. Stay away.

I must say, I will never rent a car from here again. Upon arrival in Orlando, Florida we went straight to the EZ rental desk. I figured something was fishy when this desk had no line and all the other rental car companies had several people waiting. The man who checked us in was quite snide in his remarks when I declined all of his upcharges. Fast forward to when we get the keys. Usually an associate inspects the vehicle for damages before you leave the premises, right? Not here. My fiance and I were told to do so ourselves. So I kindly asked for someone else to assist us in this process (since I've read reviews that this company makes false charges). Now mind you, my fiance is extremely knowledgeable on vehicles and he sees EVERYTHING. We check it out, and we see a couple paint marks and a microscopic indentation. No big deal. The associate comes over a few minutes later. He assures us there's no damage, so we leave.
Here's where everything goes downhill. We return the car and an associate is examining it and says, "Everything looks good except this one dent." This dent was literally the size of a pin. And I tell him that it has been there. He says, "Ok no problem." Weeks after we return home I get a letter that the vehicle I rented sustained some damage during my rental period. I am extremely frustrated at the fact that they would make this accusation. Come on. I've rented several cars before and I've never felt so deceived. Why would you rent out cars that have slight damages to them and place the blame on your customers? If it wasn't the tiny dent I'm sure they'd find something else.
I take the blame for not marking the damages I saw, but I was very trusting and knew the representative would have addressed that pin size damage for us if it was necessary. EZ Rental Car does make false charges. They take advantage of those people who decline their coverage and the next thing you know you're being charged for damage. It's ridiculous. Beware if you ever rent from them.

We booked and paid in full for our car on 1/16/17. Card was charged and we arrived in Phoenix to pick up the car on 2/16/16. It was the only rental car company to have a line of people, and we stood in line for 45 minutes watching other travelers at Avis, Enterprise etc walk in and out with keys after only a few minutes. When we arrived at the counter after our long wait, I inquired as to why the process was taking so long, since we had already paid for our reservation. It should have been a quick process.
The man behind the counter shrugged and mumbled something about having "three employees call in." He was condescending and rude, repeatedly tried to upsell us, and when we stated that we were driving to the Grand Canyon he insisted that we needed a 4x4. When we declined, he shook his head at us like we were fools (if you have ever been to the South Rim of the GC, you know it's more like Disney than a rough Wilderness. Every single road is newly paved). We thought, after returning our car on 2/21/17 that our unfortunate experience with this company was over; however, we checked our credit card today and discovered that we were charged an additional $250.00 on 2/22/17... A full 24 hours AFTER we returned the car.
The customer service rep and her supervisor Raquel whom we dealt with spoke English as a second language, so it was frustrating to understand them. First we were told that we were charged an additional $250 because "you returned the car a day late." When we disputed this, we were told that the charge was "a deposit" that the company charges as per their policy. When we questioned why we were being charged a deposit on a vehicle that we had ALREADY RETURNED, we were told that the amount had been refunded to our credit card (it hadn't).
The rep sent us an invoice that she stated was a "Refund Receipt" showing the credit. The top of the invoice clearly reads "Payment Receipt" and shows "-$269.00" from our credit card. When I pointed this out, she tried to tell me that the minus sign actually means a credit. I was unsuccessful in attempting to explain that in no form of mathematics or banking does "minus" ever equal "plus."
We finally spoke with the supervisor Raquel who was equally unhelpful, telling us that we were "welcome to call our credit card company to sort it out." So, basically, no help. Unfortunately I will have to get my cc company involved, as I have a sneaking suspicion that this company is scamming money from us and other customers in the hopes that people won't notice or dispute it. I will NEVER do business with this company again, and I advise anyone who values their time and money to avoid them as well.

The car I received was defective. On the day I was to return the car, it wouldn't turn on. I found that oil tank had been dripping and even the filter came out of the tank. Since I could not turn it on I called E-Z Rent A Car and after waiting for 45 minutes to speak to a representative they told me to drop off the keys in the airport office, since I have a flight to catch and I could not wait for road assistance. I had to take an Uber to the airport and was already delayed for my flight. At the office in the airport I wouldn't receive any help. On the contrary they didn't want to believe the car had such a problem. They suggested that I may have even not used the appropriate fuel for the car, so until a mechanic could check the car they were going to keep my account open and charge me as if I haven't returned it. Unbelievable!
I ended up missing my flight and had to stay for an extra day in the US sleeping at the airport because E-Z Rent a Car didn't want to take any responsibility, pay for a hotel, not even for a transport to a hotel where I could spend the night or any extra expenses (such as meals) I had as a consequence of renting a car with such a big problem! I filed a claim and been trying to get a response from customer service ever since and they care so little. They don't even bother to reply to my emails or phone calls. Worst service and experience ever!

I rented a car from E-Z Rent-A-Car at the Atlanta airport from Jan 25, 2017 until Feb 8, 2017. I made a prepaid reservation for the car over 30 days in advance. Upon arrival I was told there were no cars available and I'd have to wait or go to another car rental company. Since I had pre-paid, discounted reservation it was unlikely I'd find another car at that price, so I elected to wait. I stood at the counter for over 45 minutes before a car came available. There was no apology for the lack of a car and no attempt was made to expedite getting one. When I picked up the car I found the electric seat would not move forward more than 1 1/2" from it's rearward most position, the tires were noticeably under inflated and very worn and the car was two years old with over 40,000 miles on it. I mentioned all this to the lady checking me out and she apologized for the car and for not having another replacement.
I took care of the tires, but was unable to ever get the seat to work right. During the time driving the car there was a continuous seatbelt warning light showing and the car would intermittently start talking through it's onboard verbal communications. I drove it to visit friends in Florida and during that trip the windshield took a rock strike and was cracked on the passenger side. When I got to Florida I contacted my insurance company, got a claim number for E-Z and attempted to call them and report the incident and provide the claim number. Once again nobody answered the phone OR returned the phone message. The car was parked 3 days while I visited. When I got back into the car to leave, the battery was dead and the car would not start. Fortunately my friend had jumper cables and got me going. The car restarted when I stopped for gas that day, so I thought I might be ok. I drove the car for one more day with no problems.
The day before I was to turn the car in the battery was totally dead again. I made three calls to E-Z Rent-A-Car to report the battery, but I was never able to get someone on the phone. I had not purchased the roadside assistance because I have AAA, so I called them for assistance. AAA sent a technician to my location, tested the battery and car electrical system and confirmed the charging system was working, but the battery was dead. Unfortunately the technician did not have the correct battery for the car, so he gave me a jump and directed me to an Auto Zone where I was able to purchase a battery and have it installed in the car. AAA provided me with a written report from the testing and a copy of the ticket for the service call. I got the receipt for the battery as well. When I turned the car in at the airport, the people checking in never even noticed the windshield, so I pointed it out, filled out a report and provided the claim number.
Next came the battery. I was directed to the customer service office. The ladies there took copies of all my documentation and then told me they would need a manager's approval to refund my money. They talked to the manager who declined to refund because I did not have an approval number for the purchase. I asked to speak to him, explained I had attempted to get an approval number but nobody ever answered the phone OR called me back. Mike the manager then told me he would have to get an approval from his manager and he would call me back within two days. I tried calling Mike back after two days, but as usual he never answered and after 5 days has not called back. So, I called the Orlando customer service, went through the entire story and they found NOTHING in their system regarding the battery, so that lady started a claim ticket and told me I would be contacted within 48 hours.
It's now been 3 days since I filed the claim and nobody from E-Z Rent-A-Car has contacted me. Obviously I do not recommend this company. The car I had should not have been in rental car service, their customer service is non-existent, their employees at the rental car counter at the Atlanta Airport have lousy attitudes and no clue what customer service is and Mike the manager is not manager material. Given the circumstances of the battery and the documentation I provided there should have been an immediate refund at least. E-Z Rent-A-Car is an oxymoron, there's NOTHING easy about it!

I'm so mad mostly with myself. I have never been treated so bad as a customer. After reading all bad reviews on Google and still gave them a try for they were advertising a great deal my advice STAY AWAY FROM THEM. From the porter lady to the branch "dis-manager" I really feel really sorry for all of them and even that they ruined my day and probably my trip since I have to spend 5 hrs dealing with customer service line and hotwire.com. I thank God for he gave patience and understanding over this situation and I pray for them but for the business really don't care much. I rarely take time of my life to write nor say anything negative but you guys Advantage really do honor your name taking advantage of your clients.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with Advance/EZ Rent A Car. We had a confirmed reservation for a car for a week. This car was confirmed and prepaid for. After a very long day of travel and arriving at the Phoenix AZ airport location, we were informed there wasn't a car available and there was nothing they could do for us. The reservation states that there are no changes or cancellation accepted, yet they are able to inform us that there is not a car for us, and we are dismissed by the employee in charge…
We were refunded our pre-paid costs but we had no choice but to go to a competitor and rent a car for over $100 more than we were planning to spend. We were lucky to find one. If I had not had a reservation with EZ I would have shopped around for a better price. I am extremely disappointed and confused how this can happen to a customer and the staff did not even apologize or explain the mix up. What was suppose to be a nice get-away began with strain between my partner and I. I would NOT ever use these clowns.

I accidentally left 3 winter coats in the trunk of the car I returned to the Phoenix airport location yesterday. I called less than 30 minutes later from the airplane and got complaint ticket #**. Before takeoff, I did get a call back from the site manager. However, an hour or so later, he left me a message with his callback number explaining that my items had not been located or turned in. I have not been able to speak with anyone, the manager or anyone at the Lost and Found since, though I called back many times on the last 24 hours and have left messages and my number. Is it company policy to steal or throw away left behind items?

Hands down worst car rental experience I have ever had. They advertise that they are right in the Denver Airport, then shuttle you elsewhere. They also send you outside to wait for your shuttle then don't alert the shuttle so you wait 30 min before calling upset then they send the shuttle. Then you wait in a 1 hour plus line to get the car. Awful experience. I left out a bunch of other negative small details FYI. By the way this is for 2 people who reserved a car in advance.

E-Z Rent-A-Car's price was half that of Enterprise, which is what I usually use, so I gave them a try when we had on our family vacation. I booked online and when we got to the rental place, I was surprised that there were lines everywhere except at E-Z Rent. You could see the people were waiting for a really long time while in our case, there was one person ahead of us. It took him five minutes and then it was us. It was great and the car was awesome. They upgraded us for free, gave us a brand new car and I loved it. It also went smoothly and easily with their rep.

My credit card was cloned and I was overcharged. I reserved thru Orbitz. Did not want to pay over the internet to protect my credit card. As soon as I left EZ Rent A Car, my bank contacted me due to 2 suspicious charges. I had not used the card before or after the rental car location. Not only my card was fraudulently charged, EZ Car Rental overcharged me without proper notification of an alleged hourly rate. They charged me 3 hours, for what I paid 2 days. They told me to return the car anytime before 11 pm. I did at 3 pm. WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. Of course, I will dispute the charge.

The card I received was a real wreck. I picked it up late in the day after traveling for over 8 hours. The next day after some rest I viewed the car. It had rust around the trunk, and no less than 50 dings all around the car. The whining from the rear of the car was deafening. The tires were worn, and needed to be replaced. This was a true RENT A WRECK, and I paid $537.62 for 8 days. The biggest ripoff I ever experienced. I was the fool! Find somewhere else to rent a car on Maui!

We found E-Z Rent-A-Car in Orlando airport and I liked their terms and policy. There's no upsell and trying to push insurance on me. It's just the way I like to do business. We've been very happy with the fees and their reps have all been fine. The cars are fine, too. One had a puncture in it, but it was no big deal. Nothing happened to anybody. I'm very happy with E-Z and we prefer it all the time. Unless we have something that puts us off we will keep renting with them.

I booked the car online and it was a reasonable price. And we arrived after a really long flight: the woman added 2 insurances policies. I told her I had an insurance with my credit card. She said that the first one was compulsory and the second one was a mistake from the computer and that at the end of the rental we wouldn't have to pay for it (what a lie we had to pay for it...). She said that we also had to add the electronic device for the motorway even if told her that we didn't need it. She answered: "I can see it's your first time in LA." At the end we paid 3 times the price that we were supposed to pay! And the customer service said it was our fault! We said no to every things she proposed and it's our fault! And because we are foreigners there is nothing we can do about it.

I rented a car with a prepay option. I paid $186.89 on 10/14/16. My contract number was **. The problem is although we hope to never have a fault as a customer, it does happen. The true measure of a company is how to help the customer through the issues. I lost a key at the beach. It is important to note when I took possession of the car, I received a key and a ring. No remote... Now the key was lost in the sand at Ft. Lauderdale beach. I called E-Z Rent-A-Car and was on hold for two hours. I ended up calling from second phone while being plugged in at a bar and the next person told me I should call a local locksmith. He stated that is what they would do and note my account. I called a locksmith, who made a key on the spot and I saved the receipt. When I returned the car, the manager Alfredo said "This is not a key from the dealer, charge him $150" and walked away.
I asked the person at the counter for a manager, and she stated that was him. I asked her if he could come back and explain his position. I followed directions, she stated he said he was busy. They charged my card an additional $150 in addition to the $160 I paid for the key in Ft. Lauderdale. I had to catch my flight so we went to the terminal and called customer service and spoke to Ariel. She informed me that someone would contact me about this poor service immediately. No one contacted me. I called again and they stated someone from the Miami management team would be calling me.
I then got an email from Frank ** on December 23, 2016 stating he would like to discuss the issue. I called Frank 3 times over the next five days and left messages that I was trying to reach him. I sent an email to Frank replying to his email on December 28, 2016 and till this day no response. I called customer service again on January 19, 2017 and they informed me, it was my fault and I was charged appropriately. I had to explain to her I did not receive a remote to open doors. She again stated someone would call back within an hour. No one did.

My sister told me about E-Z Rent-A-Car. And, I went with them because of their pricing. I had a problem, but it wasn't E-Z's fault. I got stuck in a blizzard and my flight was canceled. So, I had to change my reservations but I was caught in all these lines at the airport to try and get another flight. By the time I got it all straightened and I called E-Z Rent-A-Car, it was too late. I missed my reservation and I didn't get the same price and that was upsetting. I didn't think that was fair, but it wasn't the representative's fault. I missed two days of the vacation, which was horrible enough, and I got stuck in zero degrees when I was planning on laying on the beach. With that, I got a little unfriendly with the representative and it really wasn't his fault. So, I apologize but I took care of it over the phone not when I was at the rental car place.
In addition, I've rented a car from them several times already, and it's in like a garage at the airport and it's very dark and it's hard to see. I go over the car but it is hard to see there especially inside the car. Also, trying to get out of the garage was an ordeal. There was one teeny little lane and that was also the lane where people were dropping off their cars which made no sense to me. I couldn't get out of the easy section of the garage. It took about 25 minutes because people were dropping off their cars in the same spot that there was just one lane to get out. I've never seen that before. That was in the Fort Lauderdale airport car rental building.
There were more problems in the garage. They told me my car was in spot 13 and there was nothing there. I got in the wrong car and the key didn't work. It was down the lane and it was a different car after I got all excited about the first one. E-Z Rent-A-Car is still great. They have the best price and they're in the airport I go to.

I had a great experience with E-Z Rent-A-Car. The person who was at the counter was just fabulous. I was really happy. She was helpful, courteous, and gave all the required information. She was perfectly the kind of person who needs to be at the front desk. She did a really good job. However, the person who received the keys when I came back to return the car after 10 days was a bit rude to me. Due to the traffic I dropped the car about an hour and a half after suitable time. I asked for some consideration on the rate but he was really rude.
He could have been polite and given me answer, but he wasn't the most pleasant person to talk to. They charged me a whole day but I told them that I'm not paying $60. They shouldn't charge for the whole day but instead charge the person prorated. I had to go up and speak to the manager then I went back to the lady at the front desk and she resolved the issue for me. It took about 45 minutes to get everything resolved. If I would've been charged the whole day, I would probably not use them again.

I've only been to Vegas one other time, and we didn’t have a car so we had a rental car scheduled. When we got to the airport, we were looking for that particular rental place, and we were told that it wasn’t in the airport. Since we were tired from the trip, we just went ahead with E-Z Rent-A-Car which is at the airport. They met us, talked to us and placing a reservation with them has been good. When we were returning the car, we just dropped it off, their rep checked it out and we were told that we're free to go.

I made a reservation through carrental8.com and they sent me a voucher to pick up my rental car at E-Z Rent-A-Car. This was my first time renting from them. I've never experienced any trouble renting a car before. However, today was different. I get to the counter and show my ID. I was told that since I live in Las Vegas locally that there would be restrictions placed on my mileage as well as a $350 deposit held on my card. They also told me I could not purchase additional insurance through them, that instead I had to show them a letter from my insurance company stating that I have full coverage insurance and it is transferable to this rental.
Normally, I show proof of insurance by showing my card. The agent was extremely rude and when I offered to go get my insurance card so they could call my insurer, he said, very condescending, "No. You're not listening. You need a letter that explains your exact level of coverage and says that the coverage is transferable!" Then they asked me if I had a car parked outside already, then why would I want to be renting a car from them? I was sort of surprised by this question but explained that my husband was going out of town and we only have one car.
However, I needed to use a car for the weekend since I had lots of running around to do. I don't really understand how it was any of their business as to exactly why I was renting. In hindsight I wish I'd said, "Well, I was planning to rob some banks and needed a getaway car!" I mean... I have never been treated so poorly by a car rental company before. I was really appalled. So after I explained why I needed the car the agent explained to me that he just wanted me to know that I'm limited to 150 miles per day.
At this point I was really tired of this guy and I have no idea how many miles I'd be driving. I know I would be going all over town looking at some houses and land for sale. I was renting a car because I have lots of places to go and a lot of driving to do! My frustration is that there are no mileage restrictions for anyone from out of town and additional insurance options are available for out of town renters too.
Why are locals given such poor treatment at E-Z Rent-a-Car? We are paying the same rates as non locals so why are we not offered the same service? I told the agent that my gut feeling about this place was very uneasy based on an extremely poor first impression and that I needed to cancel my reservation. He told me I'd need to take that up with the company I booked the rental from. I was just floored at this guy's attitude. Obviously E-Z Rent-A-Car is out for the tourist's buck and could care less about those who actually live in this city. So warning to all Las Vegas locals - do not rent from E-Z Rent-a-Car.

I sent you multiple emails saying I needed only one reservation. When I tried to make reservation a message came up on screen that it was unavailable and try later. I tried again and same message came up. I discovered two reservations were made and charged. I emailed you immediately. You have no phone number and support did not respond. I reported to my credit card company. I will not use your services again.

Do not hire from this company. We had a terrible experience hiring a car for the duration of our stay from the LAX branch. Firstly our car smelt of smoke, but that was not our main issue. We arrived at LAX after a 14 hour flight, tired and ready to get to our hotel. The staff member who served us took us seemed to be in a hurry and asked us if we wanted to take out insurance on the car. We clearly stated NO as we had already organised car insurance coverage. The staff member then told us we were done and we had to sign where he had marked. We walked out and continued on our way. To our shock and horror we checked our credit card statement later in the trip and had been charged the additional insurance on the car despite advising we DID NOT WANT THIS. We immediately contacted the company and explained we already had insurance organised and this charge was an error.
We had many international phone conversations (at our cost!) and emails with them, and they informed us they will not refund our money. I believe this is a scam they employ and figure not everyone will notice right away. This is a form of fraud. I have since read many other reviews on this company and note this is a common complaint. Be aware of dealing with this company. We will certainly never deal with them again and will continue to review them on other websites as they are unethical and lack common decency and the right customer service skills.

When at the desk filling out the form the agent that was waiting on me to me that if I want to decline the extra coverages there are 8 questions on the left side just put your initials beside each question. Well I should of read each question because one of them was to purchase collision damage waiver for a 192.00 that I didn't want. So when I got back home and the credit card bill came there was 192.00 charge on there. I called E-Z rental and they did nothing about it. That woman should be fired for lying to me. Make sure you read everything on the contract. Also the car was a piece of junk.

We have never rented a car in a large airport so we were a little concerned at how long it would take and how complicated it might be. Instead, it was probably one of the easiest parts of our entire trip! The shuttle to the rental car terminal was fast & efficient. Our check in at the kiosk was quick and seamless. We were offered an upgrade which we took and the car was amazing. Returning the car was also very easy - didn't have to do anything but pull in and confirm what credit card we wanted to use. A great experience - I would definitely recommend E-Z Rental to my friends & Family.

I loved renting from this company. Was 1st time and we will be using them again. Service was great, fast too. I did have a hard time reaching someone by phone at store or 1800 prior to rental but when I did he was friendly and polite reassuring me about the rental. Comfort - I seen car was small and was like "oh nooo" but when inside was very roomy and gas was easy on the wallet so I was super happy! Thank you for making the return easy as well!

I liked E-Z Rent-A-Car's price so I went with them and made a reservation online. Everything was fine. The only complaint I have was when I went to pick up the car at the airport, the gentleman at the counter was non-stop trying to sell me extra add-ons. He literally took so long trying to upsell me and I was very, very frustrated. I rented a Prius and it was fine but the rep was insistent that I needed to upgrade that car. And he went on and on about how he can give me an upgrade and that he'd give it to me for a $100. Then he said he'd give it to me for $60. Then if I had AAA, he'd mark it down to $30. It was annoying and I told him that I just want the car I rented. He said his computer was working slow and we've been waiting all that time for the computer to load.
He also kept insisting I get tolled. I make this trip two or three times a year and there's no toll on the whole trip that I take. I was only renting the car to go to towns to get me back and forth from the airport so I really didn't care what type of car I rented. I was just looking for something affordable to get me and my family to the house where we are staying at my mother-in-law. It was Christmas week and I didn't need all the nonsense trying to get all the extra navigation systems, extra insurance etc.
Everything else was perfect - the car, the drop-off, the check in and the check out. I'm actually traveling end of this month and I had to rent another vehicle in Arizona. I'm a frequent traveler, a frequent flyer and I rent a lot of vehicles. I usually don't want a lot of nonsense with the check in and check out. I just want to get the car and get going. But I ended up going with Fox Rent A Car instead because they had the loyalty program. Otherwise, I would have picked E-Z. Their place was comfortable.

Airport: Seattle (SEA) with a consolidated rental car facility with reservations on 1 floor and auto pickup on floors below. COLD day, wind blowing, rainy (hey, Seattle!), and Res desk is EMPTY except for small sign saying "go to pickup desk downstairs". OK, go there, pickup floor is OPEN to outside temp & COLD, get in line. Nice, but cold/weary, staff trying hard, but res system slow & troublesome. Takes 20 minutes to get car, off to BAD start. Next time, if same sign, will go elsewhere. FAST!

I had reserved a car like a Toyota Camry. The guy at the desk tried three different cars, but they apparently weren't tabbed or something like that, so he could not rent them. Finally he suggested a Volkswagen Jetta. Having never driven one, I said okay. The car was fine overall. However, I found that I do not like Volkswagen. It was nearly impossible for me to get my legs out of that car--my legs are long, that car rides low, and it was a struggle, every time. I won't be getting another Volkswagen. Not ever.

Friendly greeting and no lineup at the rental counter was a very good start. The rate was excellent and we were offered a good deal on an upgrade which we accepted. The car was excellent. No problems with the rental period at all. The return was quick and efficient.

My experience with E-Z was great but I accidentally lost the suction cup part of my Garmin GPS. I likely dropped it in the backseat where I was repacking my carry-on bag. I reported this immediately but no one ever got back to me. Can you find it?

I rented a car with another agency at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. They did not have a car for me because of the high demand that weekend (Art Basel). The agent at E-Z offered a comparable car at the same price and I was thrilled. The service was top-notch and I was very satisfied! I will recommend E-Z to anyone!

Pretty much everything about what we did was wonderful. Car was great. The price was wonderful. The only problem we had was picking up the car. There were two people helping us and the line went out the door of the terminal area. Then one of the two decided to take a smoke break and was gone for 15 minutes. So our wait was about an hour and a half to get our car. Everything except that was extremely wonderful.

Actually 2 things. I had to bring the car back because the check engine light came on. I tried to call the LAX location to make sure they would have a car to replace it with. I spent over a half hour on hold just to speak to anyone and I got inaccurate information. Even with this the price and overall experience was pretty good. So when we headed back from our Christmas vacation we reserved another car from you. When we shuttled to your lot we were told we needed the entire declaration page from our insurance policy before we could rent the car. We had to Uber home and come back the next day. I understand the policy but you need to make sure if you are going to require that you tell customers ahead of time and in fact inform them prominently. Very annoying.

I picked up my vehicle with an easy process. The location was rather dark and I could not see the condition of the tires. When I arrived at my hotel, I noticed the front tires both had considerable tread wear, with the noise bands showing prominently. Over the days I kept and drove the vehicle, I had to allow for much more stopping distance than normal. During several periods of rain, I was concerned about hydroplaning and drove at speeds to avoid that. My feeling is that this vehicle should have had a new set of front tires to avoid this problem.

The sales reps are very knowledgeable and helpful. The cars are well maintained and at a good rental rate. Pick up and drop off was very easy and I found no problem in any area of this transaction. We were upgraded to a brand new SUV which was perfect for the snowy weather we encountered. It was a prompt pickup by the shuttle at the airport and great service at the counter. I would have liked a little more details on where and how often to expect the shuttle, however.

I have rented with this company before and have usually enjoyed the experience...but I was very surprised that my bill was $40 more than what I had reserved and when I talked to a representative about my return time, I was told that the reservation would be billed by every 24 hours. My reservation stated 420.00 and it was billed to me at 460.00. This is approximate and I just wish it was billed at what I reserved.

If you find any items in the car when customer returned a car, you must keep it with customer's name and let them know you found it unless you hired thief as your employee. I lost something and I reported it but you have so many found items but nobody knows who's it. Thank God it was not over 50 dollar. Other than that, your service was great. Thanks.

I did not expect much as I had never heard of EZ, but I needed a reasonable car that I could return VERY EARLY the next day since my flight was at 6:15 am. Called and verified hours, then made reservation online - very easy... the car was kind of dinged up but we noted all and that was not an issue (at that price). The car was super, fast - smooth and easy to drive. We had a great time in Miami and no problem with the shuttles or the early turn in. Great value!!

I reserved a car in September/October from E-Z Rent-A-Car on Dec 2nd, 2016. My options on the web were to pay immediately or to pay when we arrived at the rental car agency. I was unaware that the price would be remarkably different if I chose the latter. I rented this car months in advance to avoid paying the cost of a rental car on the spot when we arrived at our destination. The flight from Calgary was delayed due to heavier than normal traffic at the LAX airport. We were delayed in Calgary for almost 2 hours. When we arrived at LAX the shuttle bus service to the rental car agency took almost 25 minutes. As we stood there waiting for the rental shuttle as many as 3 to 4 other rental shuttles came and went from the same company, AVIS, ENTERPRISE, BUDGET etc. I assured myself that because I got a good deal on the rental car by reserving early I would put up with the delay in shuttle service. The shuttle when it arrived was standing room only.
Again I assured myself that this was worth the inconvenience. We stood in line for another 20 to 25 minutes for an agent to help us with our rental. There were only 2 people at the counter for service and approximately 15 people in line. When we were finally at the counter we were told that our rental car had been cancelled because we were more than an hour late. We were charged more than double the cost of the online rental in order to get a rental. Had it not been for the time of day (midnight) that we arrived I would have taken a taxi to a different rental car company. However, I was unfamiliar with the territory and it was late.

Terrible Service: almost a 2 hr wait for my reservation. They promised to make up for but never did. Their facility was extremely dirty, Poorly disorganized, I was concerned for my safety. Beware. Stay away from this fraud of a business in Dallas Tx.

I see reviews similar to my experience but still have to say I will never again rent a vehicle from their location in Denver, Co and hope to discourage others. My experience was a combination of things that cost me a lot of money before it was over with. First of all, a rental car company should not rent vehicles with damages. Maybe this explains why their prices are usually lower than other agencies, because they don't maintain and repair their vehicles. But, you have to very careful in checking out the vehicle before you leave the lot.
That was my first mistake in not demanding a company representative inspect the vehicle with me. Instead they handed me a 3 part form and said "mark what damages you see and leave a copy with the person at the gate as you leave". After being there almost an hour trying to complete the rental I was very agitated and ready to leave. In walking around the vehicle by myself, up close, I did not see damage under the front bumper until I stopped after leaving the lot.
Long story short, 1 month after my trip I get a claim for damages from E-Z Car Rental and no amount of protesting that the damage was there when they rented the car to me would do any good. Yes, it was my error in not seeing the damage before I left but like other agencies I have rented from there is a company person that checks out the car with you before you leave. So, that lower rental price wound up costing me 3-4 times what I could have paid from a much more reputable company.

E-Z Rent-a-Car is FALSELY CHARGING me for damage that I am not responsible for. Here is my story: When I arrived at the car rental, the line was not long but I waited for approx 45 mins. Finally when I got to the desk, the service rep kept pressuring me to buy toll road pass and rental insurance but I turned them both down. I think the service desk make commissions on these add-ons, so when I said no, he still kept pressuring... It was really annoying and stressful. Maybe this is why the line took so long.
Finally when we finished the paperwork process, he told me to go outside til I was called. I waited outside for about 35 mins but no one called my name. I noticed that people that came out after me were being shown to their cars. I finally went searching for someone but he was busy with other folks and he just pointed to where it was. I finally found my car. The car was a Yaris, it was in really bad shape with dents and dings everywhere and the passenger side door quite damaged, I had to circle about 25 things on the form that tells you to inspect the vehicle and circle areas that were damaged. Even though it was in bad shape on the outside, the inside was clean enough so I just took the vehicle, desperate to leave at this point.
Finally when I got out on the road and started driving, the loose part of the bumper started to flap, and on the freeway it was so bad that it seemed like it would rip off so I had to exit to buy some duct tape to tape it down. When returning it, I asked for a discount because of the bad shape of the car, my whole experience, and the inconvenience caused by this. The manager apologized and did give me a $40 discount. One month later I received a notice that I owe $290 for the damage of a cracked windshield. I did not recall anything about this crack and never experienced a rock or something hitting it while driving or parked that would have caused any damage.
I spoke to a service rep named Lucila and told her my story... She said to email her a letter that confirmed it was not my responsibility. I did this immediately and never heard back. 2 months later I receive another call from Megan, another service rep. She left a message saying that I still owe for damage and I have called her back twice with no reply. What a giant waste of time and bad experience!! I also looked up reviews for this company and it seems like many people have experienced the same thing. Never again!

Terrible car rental company, coming from somebody who has frequently rented cars. So many hidden fees and added on fees. Rented from them in Puerto Rico when we went there for a second time, the first time we rented from Dollar car rental. Had no problems from Dollar. Their rental car service included an EZ-pass for the multiple toll roads within Puerto Rico. EZ car told us that we could no longer pay the tolls cash so they recommended we PURCHASE the EZ pass for "an additional activation fee plus a daily rate fee." Well, come to find out, once our GPS accidentally directed us onto a toll road (b/c we were taking alternate routes the entire time, another option to the daily fee ridiculousness) we learned at the exit that WE COULD PAY CASH... LIES, LIES, LIES EZ CAR RENTAL.
They lied straight to my face and tried to super overcharge me for something that I didn't even need. Well, to top it all off, once we went thru that ONE TOLL, we were now required to pay for the 4 days previous (that we didn't use the toll roads and took alternate routes that took a significant of time longer after 4 days of doing it) plus the 2 more days we had the car for plus the activation fee. Overall, I found this company to be horrible and WAY TOO OVERPRICED.

We were in Vegas and needed a way to get around. We ended up with E-Z Rent-A-Car and my interactions with their staff was good. The process was great On the way into the airport, dropping the car was really easy and that was one of the most important things ‘cause that didn’t hold me up. I like the way that was done. The only problem was getting from the airport to the car rental place which can be confusing if you have never been there.

We went for a vacation in Florida and we also wanted to take time to see our relatives over there. I did my reservation online with E-Z Rent-A-Car. I paid using my credit card and I only have to fill blanks with my credit card information, so it was pretty straight forward. We got a discount because we paid in advance, seems we got a better deal that way. Everything was mostly already settled, the only thing that we needed at the moment was the passes for the tolls. We didn't set that up in the bank, and has to be done over there.
We dropped the car from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and when we got to Orlando there was a little small problem. We took the car from one city and turn it in another city but the authorization for that could only be handled by a certain people at the Orlando airport. So when we came in, we had to go through like four different person to turning the car. There was one at the parking, the one at the booth, at the counter and the supervisor. Overall, everything was pretty smooth and I was satisfied with the rental.

We had a trip to Florida and chose to rent from E-Z Rent-A-Car because my husband did not want to be confined. He reserved on the phone and the reps he talked to were friendly. Then the rep was pleasant when he picked the car up and also when he returned it. However, he thinks left around $2 deposit and only got back $1-something. But everyone was polite and they helped him with what he needed.

This is first time I was with E-Z Rent-A-Car in LAX airport. I was rent for 4 days to visit my mother. I trust their systems that why the car had 474 miles in the car. When I returned they said the car had 0 miles in there and they charge me for 1100 miles total 303.26 and the second problem I put my car insurance in the car rental but they still charged me for 72 dollars. I feel I been cheat and I talked to manager Yolanda. She said she didn't know and asked me to pay exactly amounts.

I was in the Florida area taking care of some business, and I had flown into the airport and needed a rental car. I went with E-Z Rent-A-Car based on their price and availability. The reservation process, which I did online, was fine. However, we had a lot of issues when picking up the car. When we arrived to pick up the car, there was a line of a couple of people ahead of me. The line steadily grew as we were waiting. There were two folks working for the company, and right about the time we arrived, one of them left to take care of something else. The company does not have adequate staff. In my opinion, one person is not enough for a major international airport.
In addition, there was a customer in front of us that was getting irritated with the wait and how long everything was taking, but I witnessed some very poor customer service towards that individual. And I felt like the person working at the counter did not handle things properly. Because of that experience, I would never rent from them again. You get what you pay for.

I have rented from this site three times and each time has been good. This last time was great though. The customer service was very helpful and efficient! We originally got a Prius but couldn't figure out how to turn the car on. We went to the kiosk to ask for help but instead were given a new car and an upgrade. We were so appreciative!

We were very pleased with the rental process as well as with the vehicle rented. Khalil who processed my rental as well as the return was very friendly & helpful. Suggestion: Put the EZ Toll device in every vehicle instead of making it an option please. We inadvertently drove through an automated toll. By the time we realized it was too late to move over to the pay lane.

Everybody at E-Z Rental Car was fantastic. There were a couple of people who were hard to communicate with due to a language barrier, but they were very polite and helpful. They weren't front agents, though. They were people parking and washing cars. Another thing that was very memorable with E-Z is that their signage to get to their booth was not good. I walked up a set of stairs and saw the signages of Hertz, Thrifty, and E-Z. The arrow was to the left, so I took a left, which took me into a giant parking garage. And as I entered the parking garage, there was another sign that showed Hertz and Thrifty, but there was no arrow for the E-Z destination. The signage was incomplete and it was very far away. From the direction I came from, it would help people if the signage was better. I was very frustrated when I got to the booth, but after that, everything was great. The car and the people were great, and it was easy to return the car.

I purchased my car rental online... and was quoted $200. By the time I checked out the price doubled! Not happy about that. Everything else was good. The service was nice and the car was suitable for my needs. The only thing was the "ding" once I got home and couldn't dispute it...

This was my first time renting a car and I was very impressed with the service and car. I was provided with an upgrade to an SUV which was very good because I was visiting the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. I was well treated when I picked the car up as well as when I returned it. I only used the shuttle service coming from the airport which was also quite fine. Everyone was very friendly. We had a good experience with E-Z Rentals and two things I remember quite well. The agent was a pleasant young man, however, when we were picking up our car he told us our credit card was not suitable for insurance purposes even though the bank says it is and which is why we use the card. The agent says it is a secondary plan even though we used this card in Ireland. That was disappointing.
On the plus side, when we left the rental place we inadvertently left one of our suitcases on the sidewalk, we realized it when we got to our condo. We drove all the way back thinking our worst fears. The young man who brought the car to us had noticed the case and took it into the office and stored it for us. When we got there we retrieved our bag and went on our way after compensating the honest young man. Later that day we found out your office had called my daughter back in California to tell us about our case, very professional. Everything else went smoothly except our car was pretty well scratched up and had some loud noises coming from the drive train. Would definitely use E-Z again.

Needed a car for a few days in Austin. Part of the trip required a drive to East Texas. Rented through Priceline. Folks at the counter were friendly and courteous and it didn't take very long at all. I figured that for the price, I was going to get a well-used, long-of-tooth, high mileage, beater. Not so. As I walked by their fleet in the garage, the cars all looked fairly new and in great shape. I got a brand new Camry. Under 2k on the odometer! Comfortable. Good on gas. Return was quick and easy. Based on this experience and the price, I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

E-Z Rent-A-Car is my usual rental company when I visit my house by Daytona. They are usually the lowest price and conveniently located downstairs in the airport with pickup/dropoff across the street. No waiting for a shuttle. They also are not high pressure sales people, like some of the competitors. Your counter agents are always courteous and helpful. Thank you.

Check-in process was good, but initial car had flat tire warning light on. Staff quickly changed it to a different car and the new one was a good vehicle. Had no problems during rental period, and return was fast and efficient, and the cost was reasonable.

We were at Disney World for the week and I needed transportation. I had booked through another company but when I got there, they were no longer at the airport. Somebody from E-Z Rent-a-Car was standing out in front and he thought we were struggling because we were looking for the counter. He asked if we needed some help so I told him what was going on. He said that other company wasn't there anymore and that whatever rate we had, they'll match. I said, "All right! Done!" But the rental car had some wear-and-tear on it! There was a panel up under the driver side where there's protected wiring that kept falling off, which we could not fix. It was a little annoying. I'm used to jumping in a car with 300 miles on it and the rental car had 25,000 miles on it.

My sister and I were both going to rent a car ‘cause we were going to Disney World. My sister used E-Z Rent-A-Car before and we went with them. I made the reservation online and it was a quick and simple process. Their reps were very helpful, but the problem I had with them was everything was done electronically on a little signature pad in front of me. I had to read everything, click okay and sign. We went over it verbally and I told their rep that I only wanted the minimal sort of thing ‘cause my sister did it two hours before I did it. He assured me that was what was going to happen. In the process, he added an extra $100 worth of coverage that I specifically said I did not want. But because I was going through it with the signature pad and was told to sign, I didn’t realize that I agreed to it until it was already printed out.
If it was done on paper where there were boxes and I can put my signature on each box, it would have been a lot easier for me to catch his mistake and understand what I was signing. My sister and I rented identical cars at the same time and only the colors were different. My rental bill ended up being $150 more than my sister's bill. When I called E-Z Rent-A-Car to complain about it, they told me that the only way to fix it was for me to turn around and go back to the airport that moment which I couldn't do.
When I returned the car, a lady came out with a little pad on her hand, went over everything and checked it in. I said something to her but she told me that I had to go to the customer service desk in Orlando Airport. The customer service desk was upstairs and I had 20 minutes to get through security and on my flight. I told her I didn't have time and that I would miss my flight if I stood in line at the rental car place to straighten my issue out. I had a manager give me a call and he left me a voicemail. I returned the manager’s call but he wasn't available so I left a message for him to call me back. However, I never heard back from anyone.
I called what happened my stupidity and moved on with life, but it was definitely irritating that the extra $100 got stuck on my bill. I was told it would come off my bill but it never did. Overall, the people were nice but their processing was poor. I'm also not sure if it was a miscommunication the way the paperwork was done. I won’t recommend E-Z Rent-A-Car to somebody.

Attempted to rent a mini-van from E-Z Car Rental's DFW airport location. When booking it on Travelocity, the booking clearly stated Unlimited mileage, and there were no restrictions or exceptions listed in the "Rules and Restrictions" section. Once we arrived at the rental counter on the day of the reservation, we were told by the attendant that the unlimited mileage did not apply to local residents and that a 150 mile/day restriction existed, above which a $0.55 per mile fee would be added. In addition they said that the vehicle could not be taken out of state. Well, given I had rented the mini-van to take my family to New Orleans, Louisiana from Dallas, Texas for Thanksgiving, this was totally unacceptable. The manager refused to assist in any way, even when presented the terms and conditions from Travelocity. He stated that the conditions existed to avoid high mileage on his rentals.
We ended up having to go elsewhere (Enterprise) to get a vehicle. Enterprise rented a mini-van with unlimited miles, and no destination restrictions, and were actually less expensive than E-Z. E-Z took the obvious attitude of thinking we were a captive customer and we wouldn't be able to find another vehicle at such a late date. Luckily they were wrong. Based on the miles we drove and the fees from each company, we saved over $300 by not using EZ. Customer service was also poor. The attendant and manager both made no attempts at all to assist with the issue, instead saying, "this is our policy, deal with it." Not only did EZ ruin their reputation for me, they also tarnished Travelocity, as I will now be very guarded on any reservations there since they sponsor companies that do not honor the terms signed up for on the Travelocity site.

Let me begin by saying that my experience and dealings with EZ Rent-A-Car has been nothing but horrendous over the past 7 months. I must say that this has been the worst travel related experience that I have encountered in my lifetime. I am not usually one to complain and I'm very easy to work with/go with the flow kind of girl, but this whole experience had me fuming.
I picked up my rental car on 2-13-16 in a very dimly lit lot at approximately 6 am in Tampa, FL after arriving on a red eye flight (it was pitch dark outside!) No customer service agent was available to assist me in a walk-through of the vehicle after I waited over 30 minutes to receive the keys due to under-staffing. I scanned the vehicle, but due to poor lighting, I was unable to see this so called $1000 scratch. I drove the car on the freeway to a friend's home in Lakewood Ranch, FL and parked the car in front of her garage in a gated community. I did not drive the car again until returning the vehicle to the rental agency on 2-15-16 via freeway. Therefore, I am certain that this alleged scratch did not occur while I was in possession of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, I was not able to resolve this issue with the risk management department, as it is nearly impossible to speak with an agent. I feel like I was bullied into paying this expense that I was not even responsible for. I was receiving notices that EZ Rent-a Car would be going to collections if I didn't pay. Being someone with excellent credit, I couldn't have that happen. I even had to contact my insurance (who contributed $500 to this expense) and American Express. This has been my biggest nightmare and the worst I have ever been treated by a company in my life. I have definitely learned my lesson the hard way, but I know one thing for sure. I will never be renting from EZ Rent-A-car ever again. I beg you to do your research before renting from the company. It is definitely not worth the savings. They will get their money somehow.

I rented a car at E-Z Rent-A-Car in Montreal (Dorval YUL); I did this through PRICELINE.COM. Priceline advertised ''Unlimited free KM!" I was supposed to get a Chrysler 200 and got a Toyota Corolla with bad snow tires. The rental agreement at the rental place was sneaky in having me pay attention to all other areas of the contract but avoided showing me the 200 free km per day (which I was not drawn to as the Priceline confirmation said clearly FREE UNLIMITED KM. Upon returning the car, I tended my contract to have it closed. They did so and from the projected fee of 39.39 per day, the bill escalated to 172.32 for two days. Part this I will assume such as the gas and the reasonable taxes. However, there are items such as $50.00 for additional millage, PLF (have no Idea what this is for) 16.95%... Energy tire fee at $6 per day... VLATR (what is this) at 4.95 per day. Total unadvertised charges: Approximately $88.00 cdn.
At check out, I submitted my contract and the owner then totaled the charges and gave me an amount which I contested. He became belligerent, aggressive and threatening and refused to give me back my copy of the contract so that I could compare. He gave me an invoice that he printed and said "you owe me $172.32" without explaining to me the different items that I questioned him on. There are three guilty parties here. Priceline.com, E-Z Rent-A-Car and 3960285 Canada Inc. I would discourage anyone from renting from these places and regret that I did not call the police when he became aggressive and slammed the counter. I called the Priceline customer service line on Thursday November 24 (day after returning the car and having a bad experience and got the run around; this is now unresolved. I on the other hand do have the resolve to go to any length to resolve this.

Our flight arrived 2 hours late. I had a reservation through Priceline for a full size car for 5 days with a quote of $257. Due to the 2 hour late arrival they would not honor my Priceline reservation. They gave me the same full size car at the full rate which came to $372. I had no other choice but to accept the rate. I feel they took advantage of me. There was no reason for them not to honor the reservation since they gave me the same car anyway. Stay away from these people.

Do not rent cars from this company please, is a total rip off. I end up paying more than $1,300.00 dollars for a SUV that at first the estimate was $580.00 for a Week, they start charge you without your authorization a different rate from the one that you agree at first. BE AWARE!!! And you try to make a complain and is an lose end. So DO NOT RENT FROM EZ RENT A CAR!!!

The automobile AC did not work. I had left Boston Airport and went to Newport, RI. They said I would have to bring it back to Boston Airport which was a big hassle due to distance and traffic. The customer agent say they would see if they could discount the car due to the mechanical issues. This did not happen. Second issue. I left a medical CPAP machine in the car when I turned it in at the Boston Airport. I called from the gate to have E-Z retrieve the item and they said they would call me back. No return call.
I made calls on 10/10, 10/11 (twice), 10/12, 10/13 (voice mail and email), 10/17 leaving voice mails each time. On 10/17, I called corporate and they said someone would call me by the end of the day. Talked with David in Boston and he said Elaine was off and she would call me on 10/18. Did not hear from Elaine so I called and left voice mail. Never heard from her. The medical device was never recovered. I understand that this was my mistake for leaving the item in the car but I feel that E-Z should have been more responsive in helping me locate the item and giving me callbacks. I also never heard back from my email.

WORST company we have EVER dealt with. They committed COMPLETE FRAUD. We SIGNED the paper saying WE would fill up the car with gas. We did. It was a Prius. It was $24.00 to fill up. We returned it FULL and they charged us $105.00 refuel fee. You cannot EVER get anyone to answer ANY phone number available. We disputed the charge and will NEVER use them again. STAY AWAY. It seems like you are saving money, but you end up paying more than if you just rented from an actual reputable company.

I was traveling for a vacation in California and E-Z Rent-A-Car had the cheaper price for the size of the vehicle. I reserved online which was easy. At the LAX location, it took a while for the bus that came by to pick up the customers and bring them to the location. I waited with a few people for a good 45 minutes to an hour but the bus never came. We ended up taking a taxi in order to get over the rental location. I paid for the taxi ride myself and they didn't reimburse me. Another issue is the cleanliness inside the vehicle when I received it. It wasn't like trash but didn't look like it's even vacuumed or dusted. It didn't look up to par as some rental vehicles I've been in. My E-Z Rent-A-Car experience could have been better.

I go down frequently to Florida to visit my mom and I needed transportation. I chose E-Z Rental because they have the exact initials as I do so it was like a natural fit, and their prices were somewhat reasonable. The folks in the return are usually behind and harried, but they don't affect me one bit. The car is also usually clean. Six times out of 10 I use E-Z. But I sure do like it when it's attached with Sirius radio.

I cancelled my car reservation ten days prior to pickup. I went to my confirmation email. Clicked link to cancel reservation. It ask me if I was sure I wanted to cancel. I clicked "confirm". It provided me with a cancellation confirm code. I never received an email for 20 days. Upon returning from vacation I contacted them. They said it was cancelled as I never picked up car... of course not. Further told me no email is sent if cancelled online. KEEP YOUR CODE!! I unfortunately am going through paperwork for it. I find majority of companies would send. I know date and it was in evening. Should have gone through esp when I cancelled ten days out. Based on what agent is saying links don't "cancel" so it's misleading. Told them I am not paying agent. Said I can't see that either. Not helpful at all.

This week I rented a car in Toronto from E-Z. Upon return the company wanted to charge me $150 for detailing the car as it had some dog hair inside. I refused to pay for this extortion. As a final humiliation, I was refused a shuttle to the terminal and I was made to walk. The outlet which also trades under "Trans Canada car rentals" has a very poor rating (one star - Google, Yelp, and Yellow Pages). I tried to cancel the pre-authorized CC payment but to no avail. I am $600 out of pocket for a 2 day, $203 car rental, told to ** off and walk to the terminal.

E-Z Rent a Car HOUEZ allowed my ex- husband to sign a rental contract with my credit card without permission and for which he has no signing authority. The agent at the counter did not verify identification of the credit card user as being the person listed on the card. In addition, E-Z Rent a Car HOUEZ fraudulently charged my credit card for a one way return fee of $1842.30 to LAX airport, while my ex-husband continued to drive the vehicle around Houston. Approximately 6 weeks later, after the mistake was discovered, my ex was forced to turn the car in and the charge has still not been refunded to my account. These irresponsible actions are not what I would expect from a reputable company. Calls to customer service to resolve this issue have been met with resistance since my ex-husband has no desire to discuss his fraudulent and criminal behavior.

We flew into LAX Oct 12 and rented from E-Z car rental. We waited almost an hour to get waited on and assigned a car but went to the space where the car was supposed to be and there was no car. We then waited another 15 minutes and were given a car that had been in an accident. The back bumper was almost falling off. The car smelled like cigarettes. It was in bad shape. It worked.. They gave me car with a bad tire. The car blew a tire on the highway when I was travelling 5am in the morning. Had to cancel work for that day. When I went back it took them 3 hours to resolve this issue. The customer service sucks. They tell you one thing today you come back tomorrow and is something different. I rather pay more to rent a car than get ** service.

When I arrived after traveling 12 hours at 7:30 in the morning to get my car, the ticket agent was not happy to be there. She took her time to find my reservation, rolled her eyes at me a few times, and asked me if "something was wrong with me." I said no to collision coverage. I was so uncomfortable with my experience, I initialed quickly in the spaces she indicated to highlight. Of course, she highlighted collision coverage even though I'd told her NO. I think it's criminal for a company to allow employees to charge customer $250 more than they agreed to and then fight with them to get it resolved. I will never use E-Z Car Rental again and will tell everyone I know to do the same. Cheats.

Took half an hour to get a car, and it was in mediocre condition. Other customers coming in & out at the same time reported cars that smelled like pot smoke, or had all the warning lights on. Mine didn't have any lights on, although the low tire pressure light came on during the rental. I figured out which tire was low and added air, but then it recurred later in the rental. I'm guessing there's a nail in the tire.
More important though were the ripoffs. First, when I got the car, I was told I either needed to pay $10/day for use of toll roads (which are hard to avoid going in/out of Denver airport, and they don't accept cash), and you pay that amount for every day you have the car, regardless of whether you use the tolls on that day. So I paid an extra $70 for two tolls, one from the airport and the other back to the airport.
Second, even though I filled the gas tank before returning, they charged me $60 to fill it. (The actual cost when I filled it, 1/2 mile from their facility, was about $20.) Had they asked me when I returned the car, or actually checked it, they would have seen that the tank was full. After sending a copy of the fuel receipt, they credited my card for the amount, but it took another round to get an updated receipt that I could use for filing my expenses. I only used them because my employer's travel agency picked them. And I will do whatever I can to never use them again. I rent cars 5-10 times per year, and I've only had one service experience as bad as this, and it was 20 years ago.

Do not rent a car from E-Z Rent-A-Car. Low customer service. On September 23, 2016 9:30 am we went to pick up a car that I booked in advance from the website. The price that we got on the website was $25 a day for 16 days was $400 plus fees and insurance $719. When we came to pick up the car the agent was very aggressive salesman that put all his power to keep sale me other services. In one point I lost my patience and told him to cancel my order. The agent came out of the desk and told me that price will stay $719 as we agree and the only thing that going to be extra is the $200 deposit and when I return my car that $200 will be waive out.
When we came back to return the car the agent that was there on day of pick up was not there and of course the price was $919. When I ask the agent to take off the $200 deposit he show me that this $200 it's part of the car rental. By the end I paid full price of $919 and they ask me to leave the place and if not they will call to the police. Never ever ever going to rent a car from E-Z Rent-A-Car. They are thieves!!! Ps. Location of rental car was on Fort Lauderdale airport and the name of the thieve agent was Breion.

If you are hoping to save a few dollars by renting from these guys, think again. I paid $425.00 for a 3 day $47.00/day car rental! We arrived at the E-Z Advantage rental facility at the Denver airport (off-site) and observed a lot full of vehicles of various makes and models in less than prime condition. There seemed to be no specific fleet, just a random batch of vehicles, but we were getting a decent price, so, no problem.
At the desk after a long wait the agent informed me that their computers were down, so we did everything by hand. He asked what type of coverage I wanted, and I said "just the basic deductible coverage, my insurance covers the rest". He acknowledged this and asked where I was going. I told him I had meetings in Colorado Springs, so he suggested that I take the E-Z Toll package, $9.95/day, as I would be driving mostly on toll roads. He then offered the Fuel fill-up package, which after some conversation I understood to mean that I was going to be charged their (E-Z's) rate for them to refill the tank upon my return, basically paying for the gas I used. Instead, they charged me for a full tank up front.
Well, by now there was a huge line behind me, so against my better judgement I initialed the contract where he specified, and went to find my car. The bottom line was, there was only one toll road in Denver, and my route did not take me on that road as he said it would. And he had added all of the insurance coverage that was available, so I got that too. And to add insult to injury, there was a cumulative 22.25% tax/fee assessment on the contract, so I paid an extra $50.00 in taxes just on those unneeded/unwanted services or coverages.
All in, my 3 day, $47.00 basic rental cost me $425.00. Yeah! By my calculations, if they had given me what I asked for, or actually needed, I would have paid $181.95 less. When I called to address these issues with Advantage (E-Z) they were completely uninterested in discussing the matter, let alone negotiating. As an aside, we were planning to go to Pike's Peak in that car as well, but the front suspension was making a noise that pointed to a pretty serious issue (with only 20,000 miles on the car) and was not deemed safe to make the trip. BTW, I have owned multiple automotive repair shops for over 23 years, so I am qualified to make that assessment.

Basically, the agent at the Phoenix Airport location ignored our request to decline insurance coverage. Confirmed to us that he understood we were declining to purchase the coverage. Then proceeded to add the coverage ($25.99 per rental day) onto the contract, handed the contract to us to sign stating the extra charges were "DEPOSITS" that would be returned to us. We signed never imagining that he would lie to our face to make more money for himself. When we returned the car and received the receipt, and called his manager, David **, to voice our concern, his answer was, "Well a contract is binding." I think that's another phrase for "You sucka!" I can only imagine how much money this sleazy agent has made on unsuspecting consumers such as myself every single day that he is at work. Shame on you.

I made our reservation over the phone through a discount agency (carrental8.com). I paid $124 at the time and was told I would pay just $64 in fees upon pick up. We flew from Illinois to Colorado for our honeymoon, went to Denver EZ Rental to pick up the car. The rep was very nice until I started asking questions. They charged us an additional $378 at pick up--on top of the $124 I already paid! When I started asking questions and telling her that those fees were not reasonable, nor what I was told on the phone, she got very rude with me. I didn't feel like we had much of a choice at the time. We had to have a car. She did say that we would get $200 of our deposit back (still overcharging us, but it was better than nothing).
Yesterday I received $150 back, so they decided to keep an extra $50 of my money. I called the 800 number for EZ rental and he said himself that the charges didn't seem right and he was going to have management call me. Manager from Denver called a few hours later and treated me like an idiot. He told me to forward my rental agreement docs to him and that he will go fire the rep immediately and send me my deposit back and then some if he sees that we were given incorrect info. I don't want anyone to lose their job. I just want my deposit back. Will never rent from them again and am posting negative reviews in every place I can find to post a review. Huge ripoff.

I know things happen in all businesses that are out of our control. I appreciate the effort made by this company to make things right. My initial reservation said 'no refunds' so I wasn't sure if that would be enforced under the conditions I stated. I am pleased to say E-Z Rent-A-Car has redeemed themselves in my eyes. I rented a car through CarRentals.com. Prepaid and bought insurance for my stay in Denver, Colorado. I arrived at the rental agency yesterday as scheduled to find the 'computers' were down and it would take 2 hours to be processed. I waited for 45 minutes without much process in the line. I had appointments I had to attend to so I rode the shuttle back to the airport in order to make other arrangements. On that shuttle, I spoke with a couple that had just returned their car. They said they had the same issue the week before! So was it really a computer issue? Or does it happen only on Fridays? I am very unhappy with the circumstance and at this point wasted $200. I have been unable to contact anyone by phone in Denver. I was not even able to tell them I was canceling my reservations. I will never use E-Z Car Rental or Advantage again and you can be sure I will never encourage anyone else to use it.

I paid for my sisters honeymoon, paid $130 for the car rental for a week. When they got to the airport and tried to pick up the car, they were hit with another $200 deposit. The rental ended up costing $330.00. Why couldn't I have paid that so they didn't have to? Why wasn't I told there would be another charge more expensive than the initial car rental? And if it's a deposit, are they getting that back? False advertising, big time. Never, ever, going to rent from them again.

I'm writing this in review of the E-Z Rent-A-Car located at the Denver International Airport on 23790 E 78th Ave. I originally booked a rental car from Kayak and paid for 4 days of travel, as I was heading down to Colorado Springs for a wedding. I paid directly through that website in the amount of $181.97. When I got there, a representative by the name of ** assisted me and immediately insisted that I upgrade to an SUV. I told him no thanks as it was just myself and I wanted to stick with what I reserved. He then proceeded to let me know he was adding the full coverage insurance. I asked if that was required and he said no, but the basic insurance is. He then proceeded to add on the toll package. What started out to be a $181 reservation, turned out to be a $360 total after all the erroneous fees were added. ** went so fast and led me to believe that these extra fees were required.
At this point, there was a line and ** was pretty much rushing me out. I drove down to Pueblo and the next day, checked my credit card statement and there were these extra authorizations. I called the company and was routed to a call center in Orlando and spoke with Cynthia **, who told me that the insurance nor toll road package was required as long as I submit my insurance information, but to dispute, I'd have to go back to the original location. I explained to her that I was two hours away and couldn't do that, so she transferred me to the office in Denver who never picked up. I called back and got someone in the same Orlando office who said Cynthia emailed the manager my information and I would get a call as soon as possible. I waited all day, and no one called so I called the Denver location at to my surprise, no one picked up once again.
At that point, I left a detailed message explaining the situation and asked if they can call me back. At no point did I receive a call from the manager. When I went to go return the car, I spoke with an agent who asked me why I waited until after the four days to dispute. I told him about the situation and he said his manager probably won't take it off, but he'll ask. I waited about 15 min to only get a lecture from a joke of a manager who didn't give an ounce of empathy and was so condescending and rude. He said and I quote, "It's not his employee's job to explain what's required and what's not, and they are in the business to sell. Actually, this is a rental car company, and my understanding of a rental car company is to take care of their customers and provide an affordable rate, as there are other companies that are out there. The manager didn't do anything and brought the original rep who denied saying it was required.
I didn't mind paying the toll road fee, as I used the toll road, but didn't use the insurance. I feel completely taken advantage of and can only imagine what other customers are being taken advantage of as well. According to their website, their company is supposed to have the best value in rental cars, and the staff receives specific training to provide the best customer service. I'm sorry but the way the manager and the agent handled my situation was actually the complete opposite of that. I will never use this company again. They will not only take advantage of you, but think about your family and your grandparents that they are slamming additional sales onto for their own gain.

When I rented from E-Z online, it really surprised me because they had offers like the pricing but I didn't know the kind of car I was getting. When I got there, it's a big 14-passenger van so I didn't take it. The other options I'm able to get were pretty expensive. The other thing I felt strange is they needed to copy my driver's license. Last week, I was in Albuquerque again and I was renting with the other company. Even though my situation from their point of view won’t be the same, no one needs to take a copy of my driver's license. But, the car I got from E-Z is fine and my experience was okay.

Arrived at SFO to find out the rental lot was 15 minutes away from the airport. Waited for over 45 minutes for a shuttle. Tried using the phone located at the curb, but got voicemail. Was later informed that shuttle are supposed to come by every 20 minutes. All in all, it took me over an hour from arrival to I had my car. The car was overly dented, smelled a little funky and was not washed. Had over 35K miles on it. I will not be using E-Z at SFO again.

Rented a car in Nashville. Pre-booked. When we got to the check-out, I told the clerk I didn't need any insurance... I have insurance that covers rentals on my standard auto policy. So they "tell" me what I'm signing so I can sign on the pen pad - no document in front of me or on the screen to see just a place to sign. The clerk prints out the document and hands it to us as she gives us our car inspection form, exit gate code, location of the car (while a line is behind us)... And off we go. Only to find out they did bill us $137 for insurance we requested not to have.
So we email the company (who says they will investigate) and they tell us - "Well you signed for it..." on the pen pad - with no document in front of us - just their "explanation" of what I was signing. I am very disappointed in E-Z Rent-A-Car and will never rent from them again. Very poor business practices... And the "investigation"was an absolute joke. Shame on your business practices E-Z RENT-A-CAR.

I needed to rent a car because I was traveling by plane and I didn’t have ground transportation at my destination in San Diego. It's a government rental, so it had to be at the lowest possible fare. This company is ridiculous! They rent us a car with bald tires and the heat does not work. The defrost won't clear the windows, and the tires are really scary driving in this hard rain. When you call, they will ignore your calls repeatedly. Then, if you do get through, the staff is rude. We drove to a local E-Z car rental and they refused to switch out the car for us! We have to drive all the way to the airport center to get any real help. Calling is a waste of time. Never again with these mean people.

I booked through Priceline and landed in LAX in the middle of the night. No bus, no answering their phone. A taxi later I was at their rental agency and they told me they were out of cars and they don't deal with third party vendors. I showed them my reservation and they said "not my problem." A day later I still can't get them to answer the phone. But it was the cruelty with which they behaved which is absolutely scathing. The two men who were working around 12:30 am on 9/17 should truly be ashamed of themselves and should be fired. You have been reported to Priceline as well as your headquarters. I will be reporting and reviewing your company on as many places as I possibly can.

I rented a car from E-Z rental at the Atlanta, GA airport, drove the car to Norcross where it stayed parked for several days. Then I drove it to Kennesaw, where, once again, it was parked. I came out the morning after driving to Kennesaw and found a huge bubble on one of the tires. I called the agency, which refused to do anything, so I had a relative switch to the "doughnut" spare tire, and I was unable to drive the car until I returned it, driving through Atlanta on the freeway on the doughnut tire at less than 50 MPH. I told the agency what had occurred and flew home.
Since that time E-Z has been calling me, sent me a letter and a threatening email insisting that I pay "damages" of $65.47 plus a "service charge" of $50, calling the experience "my accident." I did not damage the car in any way. On Sept. 1st I received a check for $65.47 from one of the insurance companies on the extra insurance I had taken out, even though I have filed no claim. I have not cashed it. This morning I received a call from someone from EZ at 6:30 AM my time, waking me up. NOT ONLY did EZ rent me a car with tire damage, but they are now harassing me. Avoid them like the plague.

I will not be using your rental service in the future. I waited for 20 minutes at the Denver Airport for the shuttle, and then another 45 minutes in the line to pick up the car. In this day and age, that doesn't cut it.

We were extremely disappointed with the E-Z rent a car. Horrible customer service, they tried to rip us off forcing us to accept additional charges, insurances and fees. Very rude employees, including the manager. We canceled the rental car and went to another rental car company. I will never recommend E-Z rent-a-car.

I used my travel agent, and she picked E-Z because they were the cheapest at the time. Normally, I'd rent from Hertz, so it was the first time I have ever rented from them, and I will never use them again at all. While working with their reps was okay, they had no clean or available cars, so I had to wait for at least 30 minutes. There were 6 people ahead, and 5 behind me, and they had to wait as well. Plus, when I got the car, it was dented on three different places. I was not satisfied with the experience at all.

I usually rent a car on Rentalcars.com and this time it leaded me to EZ Rent A Car. My husband and I arrived to the office which is located off side of Tampa Airport on Saturday, August 21 and were greeted by the female agent. She friendly started a conversation by asking us: where are we from and going to? Have we been here in the area or in Florida? What is the purpose of the trip/plans of the trip etc? So I shared with her that it's our first time here in Florida, we only have five days trip and just want to enjoy the warm beach on Anna Maria Island. As this individual was processing the papers, she asked if I want the add-ons such as upgrading the car, additional driver... on and on one after another and I said "no" to all.
When she talked about the collision damage insurance, I said I don't need it since I have my own insurance but the female agent stated that it is requirement if you drive in Florida. I was in doubt since I have never been requested to buy insurance for rental car in many previous cases. I then asked her again: "is it require even I have my own insurance coverage?" She firmly confirmed that "Under Florida State Law, Florida insurance is required if you drive in Florida". I then told her "If you said so" and reluctantly accepted the collision damage waiver in order to rent and drive in Florida. I now got home and noticed the paperwork stated that collision damage waiver is optional product. She also sold six days EZ tolls to me saying that it's convenient for every time go through the toll.
Because I don't know how often I have to go through it, I accepted the purchased for $59.94 and used only one round trip. If she were the honest person she wouldn't had sold that service to me since I already told her that we just stay in the Island. So the EZ agent lied to me, she apparently flay on people like me who are from out of town and don’t know any better, trying to upsell them on profitable insurance policies. When I booked it on Rentalcars.com, the balance due at pickup was $160.08, but it ended up on the contract is $451.31 and I was told that will be charged to my card when returning the car.
However, now I checked my credit account, they are not only charged me $451.31 but $454.57. Now you can see that they are scammers and try to steal from you in every way. It is the WORST possible experience I've ever had traveling. I assure you I will not recommend my families, friends or anyone to use E-Z Rent-A-Car. Don't rent with these losers. Chose a reputable company and well known firms.

The person at the desk was not very helpful and was even a little bit rude. She even seemed she didn't want to be there. We asked her for a car and she gave us one. We told her "Can we get something newer?" because the car had the mileage on it. She said there was nothing there. When we started the car, the check engine light goes on. So after that, she gave us another car and it wasn't very new, but it was okay. But it was all damaged. It's not the first time I rented a car from E-Z. We've rented a car there before and had the same experience. E-Z failed us so many times now.

My husband and I rented a car from the West Palm Beach, FL location for a week. The lady who helped us was friendly and explained what we thought was all of the information. We had signed up for a 267$ car for the week. We waived the insurance as we had our own car insurance and we paid on a credit card that would cover the rest. The woman explained that there was a TollPass in the car and we would be charged for the tolls we went through. After dropping off the car a week later we were told we were all set and we would be emailed a receipt. We were billed for a total of $727! We were under the impression it would be $267 plus tolls. We were charged an extra $10 a day for the TollPass and a $119 for the insurance that we had waived.
I called to see if we could discuss what had happened and the representative was completely rude, condescending and starting answer any question I asked with "call the 1-800 number" and that was it. I asked for the manager and he said "there are no managers". I asked to discuss the charges and he said he could not do anything and call the 1-800 number. I asked for his last name as I felt he was being disrespectful and he refused. His name was Bill who worked on August 27th, 2016 at 4pm. He was absolutely the rudest, condescending, arrogant individual I have ever dealt with in customer service. I will NEVER use E-Z rental/Advantage rental cars ever again. Watch for hidden fees and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I rented a car April 25-June 6, 2016, from EZ RAC at Seattle Airport, WA. Contract #**. I noticed after I had returned to Sedona that there was a charge of $159.90 for Renters Liability Protection. I don't recall having asked or signed for this service nor would I have done so as I have my own auto insurance. Also on July 19 I noticed that I was charged $25 by EZ RAC on my credit card without any notification from EZ RAC as to why. I called EZ RAC in SEATAC, WA and asked about the two charges. They said they would email me with an explanation. I have to date received nothing. If this is the way EZ RAC handles customers l will never use them again nor recommend them. And I still want to hear from them on this matter!

We made an online reservation with E-Z Rent-A-Car because they were the most reasonable. However, they tried to sell me an E-ZPass or a SunPass for $10 a day and it would have been very much a waste of money to me.

We were on vacation and needed a car. We did an online rental with another company but when we got to our destination, everything was messed up. They said they didn’t have our booking in their reservation. So we called E-Z Rent-A-Car and started a new booking that day. They’re very nice people and I had no problems with them. I’ll definitely refer them to a friend if they’re ever wanting to rent a car.

I rented an 8-day minivan rental from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas and was quote a better rate than big rental car companies. The pickup location was off-site, which is normally the case with smaller rental companies. For SLC, it's about a 10 minute ride. Line was long and with only 2 agents working. I was asked if we have additional drivers. I said yes and to add them if it were free. We finally got the minivan and joined our family friends who were waiting a long time for us. They used bigger rental companies.
When I returned the minivan at Las Vegas, I noticed that I was charged an addition $200 for one-way drop charge and more for additional drivers. LAS agent said they couldn't help and that I needed to contact SLC location or the customer service. When I called customer service, they wouldn't do anything as I had already signed the contract, even though I was never told about the drop charge when I made the reservation and that the agent said additional drivers are free.
Yes, I should have check the papers carefully. I was focused on making sure the minivan didn't have any damages and to meet up with my friends. But, even if I had checked, by then it would have been too late. I either accept the charge or go to another company and pay a lot more since I didn't have any reservations with other companies.
So, my complaint is that E-Z should have told me about the one-way drop charge up front during reservation and to not say that additional drivers is free when it isn't. If E-Z cared about their customers, they wouldn't make this their normal practice. There should be a certain amount of trust that you can rely on that they would do what they said they would.
For E-Z Rent-A-Car agents, if you decide to reply to this complaint with just an apology, please refrain from doing so as that does not help me and will frustrate me more. I have started a dispute with my charge card company. Pending the outcome, I will make sure to inform others using various means of this awful practice. I have included my order number in hopes that you will correct this.

I had gone on a family vacation with my daughter to Orlando FL for the Orlando Theme Park and Busch Garden Tampa May 28th, 2016 - June 2nd, 2016. MCO Rent a Car was recommended to me when I was making my travel arrangement with Southwest Airlines. The poorest recommendation I have ever received. Beware MCO Rent a Car. They charge excessive fees and so-called administrative costs!! They want to charge you $10.00 a day for tolls and the States tolls are not a fraction of what this company is charging!!!
We had arrived in Orlando and the check out was fast enough and when we arrived to get the vehicle, they made us walk the parking garage to locate the car. The car wasn't cleaned very well, it had no amenities such as power anything. Also be careful their cars have very high mileage!! The whole time we had the car we were worried about traveling too far and luckily our hotel was not too far from the airport or the theme park. The car ran somewhat rough but thankfully we made it through our vacation with no car problems. When we returned the vehicle and checked out the representative for the company stated that we could call the State of Florida and pay any tolls that we may have encountered.
Upon returning home I had called to the SunPass and E-Pass checking to see if there were any tolls that were charged to the vehicle during the time that we had the car. I had check for over a month and there were no charges. Now I receive a charge against my account August 18th, 2016 for a $1.00 toll and $25.00 administrative fee. I have asked to see the toll ticket which shows the vehicle and they send me a so called form that the state sent them charging them $1.00 for the toll. If the State is charging you with an infraction they are going to show a picture of the vehicle at and going through the toll booth. I am very unhappy with my experience with MCO Rent a Car Orlando and I will never use this company again!! I am making a complaint with Southwest Airlines so the will stop recommending this company for individuals to use.

So at first I was very excited to rent a car from EZ. I heard some good stuff about it, so when I landed in Dallas for transit, I went to rent a car from them. So I left my family in the airport and went to rent a car so that I could come back and pick them up. I asked the lady at the front desk for a 6 passenger car so that all of us could experience Dallas together. The lady gave me an SUV that the lady confirmed was a 6 passenger car, I was in a rush and didn't double check. When I arrived there and we were loading up, we realized it was a 5 passenger car and we were confused on what to do. The place I rented was far away and the transit time would be wasted if I were to go back. So my son volunteered so that we could experience Dallas and not miss it out since it was our biggest chance to see the city. We left and it ruined our whole experience and it is a slim chance to visit Dallas again.
So I returned the car and told the lady about what happened and the lady told me to call customer service. I tried to reach out to them for a whole day but no one picked up. The following day a guy finally picked up but then closed the line on me while I was trying to explain my story to them. Then I tried one last time to clear thing up with them and I explained to the lady everything and she just replied with "I can't do anything sorry" after I have paid around 50$ extra for nothing. I am really disappointed. I paid extra money, customer service wasn't that great and it ruined our one chance to see Dallas. Fortunately the car wasn't extremely bad, the car was fine, it wasn't amazingly clean, but it was fine. Thank you and have a nice day!

This was the worst rental experience of my life. I was alone with my two children under 3. Our flight was delayed and therefore we arrived 2 hrs and 18 minutes past the time I had approximated picking up our mini van. When I took the Link Train to the shuttle pickup spot, I called the shuttle and was told, by a very rude man, that my booking had been cancelled because I was late. When I explained my flight was delayed and I had no way of contacting them, he said too bad. It was cancelled and I had to go online and book again (for a much greater cost). Oh and by the way, the mini van I had reserved was gone... In the 18 minutes past 2 hrs they had managed to get rid of my van? Suspicious. I began asking how that was possible when he HUNG UP on me.
I called back with my kids freaking out in the background and continued to try and understand how my booking had been cancelled when there is NO mention of this in the policy. He then told me to go back to the airport and use a different company (this being late on a Friday night). I told him I booked with them in advance and he needed to find us a car, eventually they came and picked us up after waiting for 45 min and gave us a car, not a van. The car seats I had reserved were horrific, I rejected 2 before I was satisfied (one was missing an anchor strap and the other was filthy). This was the worst service, attitude and product I have ever used and I will NEVER use them again!

They're very rude when you meet them at their business place in Montreal, Canada. And beware, there is hidden fees! More, they never answer the phone or empty their message box, so you can't even leave them a message. Did call exactly 25 times in three days without success. Worst, they have no email either for their Montreal location. So, it's simply impossible to reach them...
And since I made a claim with my insurances about a damage on my rental car that I've been charged for, I now need an itemized bill from E-Z Rent A Car in order to get a refund. But there is no way to get in touch with them and obtain that ** bill, so it may cost a lot in interest on my credit card before I finally get that bill from E-Z. I just decided that I'll will exactly spend 3 hours a week for the next 6 weeks just to let every possible customer know how they are! I'll use every social media, every rating sites, every possible mean possible so they won't simply get away with it! They did ** with the wrong guy!

We recently traveled to Las Vegas for a short trip. We waited at least 45 minutes for an attendant to arrive at the desk. The attendant was extremely unprofessional and provided no explanations just pointing to where the car was. An additional charge was added to the account for insurance even though she was told no insurance was needed. The customer service personnel at the 800 number were not professional either. Will NEVER use this company again. Explains their low rating!

I had to go to LA for a function so I decided to rent a car. I rented from E-Z before and it was very easy as the title says. The customer service is the only reason why I go back to them. I don't care how good or how cheap the product is. I made the reservation through their website, the process was very quick and simple. They had a couple coupons that applied to me so I got the coupon.
I picked up the car and that's when I interacted with the customer service rep. He was great. He got me in and out as well as explained everything to my satisfaction to the point where I didn't have any questions to ask. They were efficient in explaining everything, and they put in anything that was already wrong with the car, like little scratches. They said that if I see anything else, make sure that I mark it. There was nothing else wrong though. On the way back, I just turned the car in, and they refunded me the deposit within a couple of days. I did tell other people about E-Z and they have rented from there. They said it was great and they loved it.

I reserved my car through Southwest Airlines. We were an hour and a half late past the reserved time, mostly because we waited for an hour for the shuttle at LAX and it took another 20-30 min to get to the rental place. I was told that the reservation was only good for one hour past the reserved time and was charged $130 more. Agent said that I had to go online and try to rebook. The agent told me that it will cost me $70 a day if I tried to rebook and advised me to take what he offered me. It was 11 PM at night, with young kids, and I was too tired to deal with it, and I feel I was taken. I will never rent from E-Z Rent-A-Car again.

Waited over 2 hours outside LaGuardia Airport for shuttle to arrive. It never arrived!! Called customer service multiple times but line was busy. Called local branch but they didn't answer or recording said unavailable. Called customer service again, and they said they couldn't reach office for update. Finally I took a taxi with 5 other different customers whom I met while waiting for shuttle. Took a taxi to the location and no apology at all from anyone. The car wasn't cleaned well but I couldn't complain because I was way behind schedule at midnight. Took me 3 hours to go from waiting for shuttle to get in my car. Awful experience! It was my first time to try your company out and will probably be my last.

Thanks to inefficiency of your employees I was unable to make it to my meetings the day I rented a car. I had to wait for my car for 45 minutes, while they told me to it was going to be 10-15. Had I known it was going to take that long, I would have taken Uber or looked into other options. In addition, one of your employees was flirting with a customer, while the rest of the customers were waiting for at least 15 min. There was a huge line, and she did not seem to care. She was also wearing clothes that looked wrinkled and unprofessional. Overall, I will never recommend this company to anyone.

This issue has since been resolved. Upon reading of my dissatisfaction, I was promptly contacted and the issue was resolved within a week. I am thankful for the action and would rent from EZ Rent A Car, knowing that the company is concerned with customer sat.

The car was fine - it had a number of dings and scratches, but I didn't care. I do think it was silly, however, for attendant to not provide any instructions on the differences in a hybrid (Sirius). However, what would prevent me from renting or recommending EZ Rental is related to the final cost. I was asked for return time - I stated 7/24 at 4pm. Since the pickup was on 7/20 at 1:10pm, my estimated charge showed 4 days, 3 hours. What was NOT explained to me was that if I went over the 3 hours, I would be charged a weekly rate. I returned the car on 7/24 at 4:19pm and was charged a weekly rate, which was $50 more than rate quoted.
It was explained to me that since I went over the 3 hrs by 9 mins, I was charged the higher rate. Had I been told that once it hits 4 days, 4 hours, I'd be charged the weekly rate, you can bet that I would have left the hotel 15 mins earlier. I followed up on 7/25 with customer service. The service agent took down the info and she would contact the local rental office (in Ft Lauderdale) and would be back in touch. That call took place on 7/25. I have heard nothing since.

I needed a car for about four days because I was going down to Florida to visit my son. I checked around a number of different sites on the web and E-Z Rent-A-Car had the best rate so I made my reservation online. On pickup, I went to the counter to show them my license so that they could get the information. It was pretty quick, taking only 10 minutes. Coming back, I dropped the car off and the gentleman just checked to see if the gas tank was full and I was on my way. The only issue that I had was that the car was not clean, especially the windows. Once I got out into the sunlight, I noticed that it was difficult to see with the sun glaring through all the windows. I even considered getting a car wash because it was that bad and the car itself was barely up to what I expected.

They are scammers and try to steal from you in every way. When I rented with them, they gave me a dirty and filthy car at pickup so I went back to the counter and complain. They gave me another car and it was also filthy and dirty, but my kids were tired and hungry and we just kept the car. I agree to pay $25 for gas so that way I didn't have to fill up the tank at drop off, and they still wanted me to pay $39 additional. I ended up paying $611 after all the unnecessary fees and lies they added (not $300 according to the website). They are thieves and scammers, please don't rent from them. Go to an honest and well known firm that do not hide highly cost details from customers. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE.

I was hoping for a small car. Instead I got the choice of a monster Ford Explorer or a minivan (presumably, even bigger). Frankly, I think huge cars give a false sense of security and are not safe to drive. The Ford turned out to be black with leather interior, which was a poor choice when it was 117 degrees outside in Phoenix. Expedia ended up charging me $30 related to the rental. Unclear why, but it ended up being $400 for 3 days. Far too much.

I thought the desk was helpful and it went well. No issues to report. But the car I was provided did not even have Bluetooth or anything the car rentals have. I get it I did the basic package, but even the most basic car reservation with any other company would be a car with a Bluetooth. In today's world, I am sure you want your drivers to be safe. I do appreciate your company offering a good value too, but safety do not be more important to pushing people to upgrade to a different car. I saw all this with love. Keep up the good work.

I had a reservation with someone else but they told me I had to catch a van to get there. I had all my luggage and I didn't feel like lugging it around. I also had my two kids with me. The representative from E-Z inside the airport offered me a lower rate and said I could just drop off my luggage there. Hence I decided to go for E-Z instead. However they didn't give that rate to me so I'm actually not pleased with it. When I got home, I called to asked why they charged me $30 a day when it's supposed to have been price-matched with the other place. The representative said that they got me off at $30 a day. I didn't argue with it.

I arrived on Friday 5 Aug 16 to pick up my rental which I'd reserved through Priceline. I was expecting a $46 rental after taxes, for two days. The E-Z stand had no one there, but instead had a sign that re-directed me to Advantage. As the associate continued asking me if I wanted all of the add-ons I expressed "no I did not want the add-ons", one after the other, after the other.
As this individual is processing the request, he decides to highlight the fact that I have lazy eyes, and asks if it's always the case. Completely taken aback, I let him know that it is inappropriate for him to point this out, and he continues to talk for the next 3-4 minutes about it. I go through the initialing process on the screen. At the end he highlighted the fact that there will be a $200 pending fee on my card until I have returned the rental. I note that it is a high dollar amount, but accept it. He does not discuss the actual price that was charged. As such I assume it is the $46-ish I expected. And to be honest, I do not recall seeing 103 popping up on the screen at any time.
I returned the car on Sunday at 5:30am. The gentleman who received the car informed me that $103 would be charged to my card. I asked him where that number came from, and why additional money was charged to my bill, and he informed me that the collision damage waiver was added to my bill upon check-in. He told me that there was nothing he could do about it, but to call the corporate number to dispute the charge and they should be able to resolve the problem.
I called the corporate number later that afternoon, and was informed that they couldn't do anything about the charge, that I needed to go in person to talk to an associate. As I highlighted that I had already left TX, they transferred me to the office. I spoke with an associate on site who looked up my ticket number and he said "sorry, looks like you signed for it. Nothing we can do." I asked to speak with a manager and he hung up on me.
I've tried calling the office three times now, without any response. I've also called corporate multiple times and they've simply transferred me to the location again where no one has answered the phone. This is unacceptable practice for a company, and it is HORRIBLE customer service. No one has tried to resolve this issue with me.
I assure you there is NO reason why I would have agreed to an additional charge. I have full coverage with my own insurance, and I set a budget for my trip that I intended to adhere to. It feels like this associate took advantage of a weary traveler, and he intentionally added this fee without my knowledge. Honestly, this is the worst possible experience I've ever had traveling. I assure you I will not recommend that anyone use E-Z Rent-a-car.

I was booking a flight and thought I would need a car too. I was looking for something not too expensive but reasonable. I pulled up a few extra sites and was comparing. E-Z Rent-A-Car came good with their price and I looked another website for coupons and got an extra discount off. It was enough for me to get back and forth, so it was perfect. I reserved online and they sent me my confirmation through my email address.
Picking up the car was simple. My flight was delayed and I called E-Z Rent-A-Car to let them know and they were eager to help me out. When I got to there, they pulled up my name and I was ready. I took off on the car the same day. The car was convenient and helped me get along considering that I broke my ankle while I was in Florida. I didn’t have to move around too much. I was very happy with everything. The salespeople were very nice.

The whole experience has been a total nightmare. We arrived at Montreal airport and walked over to the "non-existing shuttle" location pickup. Waited for 1 hour and spent the majority of that time trying to reach the local office by the phone number provided to us in the reservation email - +1 (514) 636-3332. Good luck getting in touch with anyone via that number. All of the calls went to the mailbox that was full and in the end hung up on me. There was another man waiting for the shuttle but after waiting for an hour. We decided to take a cab ($20) to the car rental location since we were already late for the event we came for to Montreal. What other car rental company in North America offers this kind of amazing service?
When we arrived to the office there were at least 4 customers ahead of us. The customer who was at the counter was very angry because he got "upgraded" to Toyota RAV4 since they did not have any luxury vehicles available for him. When our turn came, we were told that the car class that we reserved was not available either. The agent said that we could come back on Monday and maybe they will have the reserved car class then. I was not sure whether he was joking or he actually meant it. We reserved a luxury car and ended up with a "great" deal as per office agent John ** - Honda Civic since it was a new car. Yay what a deal I got.
I have to admit that I was not happy at all because if I wanted to get an economy car I would have reserved it. We called the office about 3 weeks prior to arrival to confirm that they have the reserved vehicle class would be available and were told that the specific car make was not guaranteed but for sure the reserved car class would be available. I always rent cars from Avis preferred and had never had any issues with them. This company on the other hand is a different story.
The following day I called the customer service office in the USA at least five times, in attempt to get some answers and help with this mess. They told me, that they can't help me with my reservation since it was an international one. I guess they just sell their name to losers like the one in Montreal. Well, after getting transferred to Montreal office (whose phone mailbox is full) I gave up and started writing my review here. So, for now we are stuck with this "great downgraded" vehicle since we can't just stay in Montreal and wait for them to possibly get different cars on Monday. Please save yourself time and money! Don't rent with these losers. Chose a reputable company, who stands behind their name and actually has cars in their parking lot available to their customers.

Well, let's just start by saying that I think that should be definite clarity about local drivers being charged .39 per mile. Also, most car companies do not charge you spouse or domestic partner $11 per day for an additional driver fee. Also, be prepared if you use a debit card to pay the full cost and $200 fee upfront. If I had not have to get the car because of an emergency again. Search for all the fine print, do not rely solely on what they tell you over the phone. If you have to rent from them be prepared to pay.

I’m in town for business and E-Z Rent-A-Car looks like it was the easiest route. We got to get in and get out pretty quick and they had a good collection of vehicles available. I made my reservation online and it was effortless. The representatives on the day of pickup and the day of return were very good, professional, and courteous. It was really a painless process. The best thing about them is that everything went well. They were quick and fast and the vehicle was in great shape. Out of the rental cars that we used before, they're the best so far. It’s been a very good experience and it's surprising that I didn’t know a lot about them. But I’ll definitely be looking for them next time and use them again.

I made a reservation with E-Z Rent-A-Car through Southwest for a business trip when I was going to attend a Tupperware convention. We chose E-Z partly because it was on the Southwest website and partly because it was the cheapest one on there. It's a very good price plus they're at the airport. The day of pickup, the rep asked me if I wanted to upgrade and I told him no unless he had a really good deal on a convertible. He gave me a good deal on a convertible and we ended up renting it for four days instead of a small compact car. Returning the car was real easy. We pulled right in, unloaded our stuff, the rep looked it over and we were done and checked out within five minutes.
The experience was absolutely hassle-free. Last year we tried to rent a car from another company and they wanted to sell us insurance on the car. They offered several different types of insurance which we didn't want to purchase. Before we could even pick the car up, we either needed to buy their insurance or show proof of insurance as to how much coverage we had which amounted to six different customers who were on the phone. There were long lines and we're trying to get a hold of our agents to see what they can fax us or send us. It was an absolute hassle and we'll never rent from them again.

I’ve used E-Z and had a good experience in the past. I needed a ride one time so I decided to reserve a ride again through them. I did it online and the process was fairly quick and simple. I even managed to make use of a coupon during reservation. On the day of pickup, I wasn’t too fond of the person that was working at the counter. She was pushy on some items, but nonetheless, she covered any issues with the car and the return policy. During the trip, the car lost its breaks in the middle of the desert. I had to drive it back to Las Vegas, 120 miles with no breaks. I let the people in Las Vegas know once I got there to switch it out for another car.

After arriving at the Denver International Airport, agent (Lorenzo) sold me extra rental car insurance that I didn't ask for. Agent didn't explain what any of the insurances were or what they did. The agent hurriedly told me to Initial the agreement without explanation and even told me I missed one or two. I didn't receive any "Brochure" which apparently would have explained the coverage I bought. I ended up paying more for the insurance than the car. I only wanted insurance that would cover the car against scratches and dings. I paid over $500 in coverage I didn't want. Rental Record # **. Also the customer service E-Mail they offer the phone doesn't work not to mention giving up after a hour on hold. If they'd being willing to work this out with me I would but as of right now my extended family and I will not be using this service in the future and would not recommend them.

If I could give a negative rating, I would have done so. They are scammers and try to steal from you. When I rented with them, they gave me a different car at pickup so I was forced to upgrade in order to get a car that fits my family and they charged me extra for that. They kept introducing new charges that were not part of the booking process. The website quoted me $400 but I ended up paying $728 after all the stupid fees and lies they added. They are thieves and scammers, please go literally anywhere else than here. I ended up using Enterprise the next time around and the same $300 I was quoted on the site is all I paid after using the car. Now there is an honest and well established firm that holds the truth and the value of its customers in high regard.

I had an urgent 1 day trip to Dallas. Went to E-Z Car Rental @2:33 and told Leslie that we needed a car till 5 pm the next day. Got GPS and 9.99 toll pass. Brought car at back at 4:15 and was told by gentleman that total was $246. I disputed this and was told to go to counter. Lined up for 1/2 hr. Talked again with Leslie. She had never told us that rental was only for 24 hrs and couldn't even recall yesterday's discussion and we were being charged three hours late fee as supposedly car should have been back by 2:33.
I disputed this and asked her why she didn't say anything yesterday when we organised car. I also disputed 3 hrs (2:33 - 4:15 is not three hours) and also said she didn't mention anything yesterday when we booked car and specified a 5 pm return. She was very unhelpful and then gave me a bill for $300!! And told me I had to ring a number in Florida. By this stage it was too late to speak to anyone and I was late for international flight. VERY VERY disappointed with both open disclosure and helpfulness of staff. I will be disputing this transaction. Beware of open disclosure even when you tell staff what you require.

Waited 1 hour for a shuttle from LAX. None came. Caught a taxi to the address given... E-Z had moved addresses without notifying me. The address I was then given was also incorrect. Third taxi later I arrived and was told the computers weren't working so waited another 2 hours before picking up my car... No discounts upgrades or anything given for my wasted time.
Then a few days into my rental I got a flat tire on the freeway in the middle of nowhere and the jack had been removed from the tire change kit... so I was stuck there for hours. Then when I returned the car I was billed double what my initial order was supposed to cost with a million stupid hidden fees and charges... Then my security deposit still has not been returned to my account over a month later. What started as a $500 booking has become over $1000 out of pocket and huge amount of wasted time. I cannot get through to their customer service via phone and they are refusing to respond to my email complaints.

I reserved a car through Priceline. I was told the car would be provided through Payless Car Rental in Las Vegas. When I arrived at the car rental pickup area in the LV airport, I saw the "Payless" sign over a desk; immediately a woman directed me toward the E-Z desk. I did not notice the E-Z sign and assumed I was at the right place. The woman behind the counter asked how she could help me. I told her that I had reserved a car through Payless Car Rental via Priceline. She immediately pulled up my information on her computer and began the rental process, never telling me that she was actually representing E-Z Rent-A-Car. In hindsight I assume she was able to access my information because the reservation was made through Priceline, and both of these companies are offered on the Priceline website. Since she pulled up my information, I assumed I was at the correct desk and she never corrected me.
I had been quoted $441.50 online, which was to be total price. By the time this agent was done with us she was doing us a "favor" of upgrading our car to a Camry for free and was charging us $607.21. She explained this higher amount by saying "taxes at the airport location are at the rate of 28%". We were sent downstairs to pick up our rental car. It was not until we approached the Payless kiosk that we learned that we had in fact been "kidnapped" by E-Z. We should have returned to the E-Z desk and started over, but as any vacationer can tell you, by that time you are so tired and you just want to get the car and leave. When I reserved the car on Priceline, I indicated a return time of 3:00 pm. I assumed that was the time that would be assigned to me since the woman accessed all my information on her computer without questioning me.
It was not until we returned the car at 3:00 pm on 7-22-16 that we learned that she had actually assigned a return time of 10:41 am that day. Therefore, as we dropped the car off, we were informed that we would owe approximately $71 more because we brought the car back late. In addition, the E-Z car agent had told us that the fee for adding an additional driver was $9. Since I have often rented cars without paying any extra fee for adding a driver, I assumed, mistakenly, that this charge was a total charge, not a per day charge. That led to another additional charge of $70.
By the time we asked to talk to Kayla, the supervisor, our charges had escalated from the original Payless quote of $441.50 to a total of $673.07. Kayla was very short with me and would not look at me as she said, "There is nothing I can do for you because you signed the contract." This is the WORST experience renting a car that I have ever had. Do not rent from this company. They are crooked!!

Reserved a car from this joke of a company 1 month in advance for our vacation in Montreal. Pickup was supposed to be at 8 pm. Turns out they are closed at 8 pm. Spent over $100 in taxis running around and getting to Montreal. Finally got a hold of them the next day and was told they had no more cars available. Horrible attitude from the idiot on the phone who actually answered with "yeah?" Not even a hello or good morning.

The initial price was the best we could find for Orlando, Florida rental. The car was as promised and was clean. We were offered a SunPass toll for $6-7 per day and declined since we were not going to be driving much once we got to our destination. We prefer to pay tolls in cash. We were not properly informed that some booths do not take cash. We went through two of these. I emailed them to offer to pay, including late fee ($2.50 per Fl website) with no response.
We were charged $52.38 for two tolls. When disputed, they say it's in the papers we signed. This needs to be explained by the agent at the counter. This is much higher than other rental car companies' fees for the same issue. Just beware. I feel like it was intentionally deceptive. It took us more than 30 min to get our car despite being "pre registered." Return was a breeze.

If you are thinking of renting from this company save yourself pain and do not. We had a family emergency and had to fly to Denver. We got the car and it was damaged. I noted it on the form and because we were frantic we took the car because they did not have another (Mistake - I KNOW!). 5 weeks later got bill for $500 + fees for damage we did not generate. I am fighting them now and they say they intend to send us to collections! Ridiculous! Do not rent from this E-Z Car.

This company rented my family and I a damaged car which we promptly returned to the nearest office once we discovered the damage. We rented from the Ft. Lauderdale airport location and returned it to Ft. Myers. The Ft. Myers office couldn't have been ruder, less helpful or downright negligent. I spoke to the corporate office on the phone who assured me we would not be charged for anything and apologized for the behavior and horrendous customer service. Today we received a bill in the mail for the damaged car which was rented to us. Not to mention the filthy vehicles, the even filthier child seats we had the misfortune of having to use, and the overall awful experience, compounded by the fact that we were in the area for my father's funeral. We have never experienced the level of callous behavior, filthy product, and irresponsible business practices. This company put our family in an unsafe car and is charging us for it.

I am hoping that Lisa of Ashland (see June 26, 2016) does get through and is successful with the Atty. General! I had a charge from this E-Z Rental Car Co. in Tampa Florida the following month of mid-July (after I already had returned to the state in which I reside the first week in June). It also was for a "toll violation" saying that the toll company was charging E-Z Rental with this fee for having run through a toll booth. I also never went through a toll booth while there, and it was not on the dates my credit card states the charges were incurred when I was in another state. They are keeping credit number on file for future fraudulent activity I guess?!

Overall satisfied with the service. The service agent at the Phoenix airport should have looked at the vehicle request information that I ordered online before trying to place me with a vehicle. He first tried to give me a smaller SUV than I had requested, but when I questioned him about the size and what I had asked for in my order, he quickly found the correct information on the computer and set me up with a Toyota RAV4.
I loved the Toyota RAV4. It performed perfectly for my vacation. However, on the first day of an eleven day visit, a rock thrown up by a pickup truck on the primary road to Casa Grande National Monument put a ding in the windshield. About a week later, on an extremely hot day, that ding became a crack. I noted the crack on the return form when I brought the vehicle back to the airport. I expected the Advantage / E-Z Rent-A-Car insurance to replace the windshield as part of their comprehensive plan which I am sure they have on every vehicle that they rent. The damage to the vehicle windshield was completely out of my control.
Well, I received a bill from Advantage / E-Z Rent-A-Car for the replaced windshield for $225, which was reasonable. I bought insurance through Orbitz online when I registered for the vehicle, but the deductible was $250, so it paid nothing. I feel that Advantage / E-Z Rent-A-Car got their insurance company to replace the windshield as part of a comprehensive plan and also collected $225 from me. Other vehicle rental agencies may do the same thing. Even with the cracked windshield experience, I would use and recommend Advantage / E-Z Rent-A-Car. Their rental rates are better than the competition and their rental vehicles live up to expectations.

Took a trip to Phoenix and needed a rental car. I selected E-Z because they were the most reasonably priced. This was by far the easiest and most pleasant car rental ever, from car pickup to car return. Every time I need a car rental I will be returning to E-Z. Best prices and customer service hands down. Rude desk clerk. Didn't have car that I reserved, kept trying to give me a VW Bug. Finally ended up with an SUV, which I didn't want. The SUV had keyless ignition, had to run back to the counter to find out how to start the vehicle. The best part of the experience was when I finally got to drive away. I will NEVER rent a car from this company again!!!

Please DON'T rent from them... What should have been a simple rental (I travel everywhere and have rented tons of times). At check in I was told if I didn't have a copy of my car insurance on me they would not rent to me. They also didn't tell me that on top of the rental cost plus insurance they charge you another 200.00 and it will be refunded after you return the car. Well I returned the car and still no refund of my 200.00. The associates assured me that by end of day it should be back into my account. Days later I call the 1-800 # and was told that this location hadn't even processed my return yet. The 1-800 # told me "I'll send them an email." Great except I still don't have my money even after I called the location myself... Understaffed, uneducated, rude and misrepresentation sums this location up.

Getting and dropping off the vehicle was quick and easy. When I picked up my friends for a road trip they realized there was crumbs all over the back seats and floor of the van. The cup holders had spilled drinks in them.

I reserved a convertible 1 week in advance. I called in to check and confirmed that the car will be available. Went to the counter and the guy said it is not unavailable. Very rude. Tried to downgrade me with a cheaper car and charging the same as convertible. Started negotiating the kilometers. Very very bad experience. Never had such a bad experience with any other rental company like enterprise, alamo and national. The person said not to book online as they always mess things up and E-Z car do not get any information. Everything is online these days. I am not sure what era these people are living in. They overbook customers so once the customers are there, they have no way but to take their crappy deals at counter. Never use EZ rental. Never go to E-Z Rent-A-Car. My fiance and I made car reservations for a car out of Phoenix Sky Harbor location. We rented Hyundai Sonata from their company a few weeks prior. They first give us a banged up Volkswagen Jetta when we arrived. They said because they don't have the same car I reserved available. We go back to the mini office they have in the parking lot and they say that is all they have available to give while I see that they have about 80 cars.
We go back to the car and decide it's too much so we go back again and then the me Hyundai Elantra which is smaller than the Sonata which is bigger and accommodates my height. I start the car and the low tire pressure warning signal lights up. So we go back after 2 cars for the third time and ask to cancel the reservation and the employees start to argue. My fiance asks for a manager and the third employee that was there being quiet says he is the manager. I think why he didn't help us from the start instead of starting our vacation with such a sour taste. He then gives us one of three Hyundai Sonatas they have there. I don't recommend them at all. Bad service. Not an honest company. Bad cars that are not maintained properly.

I will never rent from this company again nor will I allow anyone I know, or even speak to, to do so. My wife and I took a vacation to visit friends and family in Florida. We picked up our rental car at the Jacksonville location. The woman at the counter was unpleasant and rushed us through the rental agreement and had minimal answers or support. I kindly requested a waiver of the $75 transportation add-on fee since we had to return the car at the Palm Beach location, not Jacksonville, and they would not hear of it.
I refused their Toll Package (which I've seen numerous complaints about on Con Affairs, by the way) and they mentioned nothing about there being NO Cash toll plazas or the $20 admin. fee for each toll. Each toll! So I went through 5 unmanned tolls that the great state of FL has between Naples and W. Palm Beach & E-Z Rental scored $100 in admin. fees. And my credit card company declined my dispute because apparently Rental Car companies are entitled to add fees as needed. Unheard of.
This company is all thievery and deceit. Their low prices are just disguising their hidden tactic of up-charging you behind your back or taking advantage of a traveler's situation (such as needing to drop a vehicle off at a different location). The company does not even inform you of any violations or extra toll charges, they just charge you. And a Kia Soul is not a mid-size upgrade. But the car was fine otherwise. E-Z Rent-a-car made $435 on a $255... Nice scamming. Hope you're all proud down there in Jacksonville E-Z Rent-a-Car.

I flew into Denver for a family emergency with no reservations as it was a last minute unscheduled trip. I went to the ticket counter and said I needed a economy or compact car for two days. The agent asked me what my trip was for and after telling him my son was terminally ill and in the hospital, he upgraded me for free to a nice Sedan. I told him my return flight information was for the afternoon of the second day and he said everything was set. My rate was $75 per day. My charge was supposed to be $197.62 with a deposit of $397.62.
A week after I got home, I noticed the deposit of $397.62 was still on my account. I called and was told that because I rented the car for an additional 5 hours, I would be charged the amount of the deposit. I was put on hold for over an hour and when she didn't come back on the line I figured this is also another one of their ploys to get people. SO, I PAID $397.62 FOR A 5 HOUR RENTAL. I guess this is how they get you and how they make money from the so-called "cheap" rental rates. This company is a complete scam!

I needed a vehicle on our vacation, and E-Z was the least expensive one I found. I made the reservation online, and it was quick and simple. The reps were very friendly and about one of the easiest that I’ve ever dealt with.

Bad, Bad, Bad. One star is way too much. I found a great rate off Travel Zoo and booked it. Our flight was delayed 2 hours due to maintenance. Once we arrived in Orlando they told us our reservation was canceled since we were more than an hour late. Run away from these guys. I have rented three times with them. Once, no problem. Second the car broke down and it took the entire day to get it replaced (most of the time was spent on the phone to make them believe me). Third (last) time I didn't even get out the door. They were very happy to tell me other rental agencies would have cars at double the great rate I reserved this one at.

Did not save any money by renting through this company. The desk agent at the Orlando airport had me initial everything without a chance to read it and charged me for gas when I said I wanted to return it full. Then he told me I needed the toll pass for where I was going, but I didn't. The car had no windshield washer fluid, so I had to buy some. When I returned the car they said they would credit me for a full tank of gas, but when I called the 1-800 number she said they couldn't. This company misleads the customer on purpose in order to make an extra profit. Very dissatisfied!!

We rented a car from the E-Z desk at the Hilton Airport, West Palm Beach, FL May 25, 2016 for a week. When dropped off by the van, there were at most 4 people ahead of us in line. We didn't get out of there for almost an hour, because there was only one person at the desk, and they were engaged in trying to "upsell" every customer with insurance, E-Z passes, etc., and spending way more time in conversation than necessary to do the deal. I realize that some people rent a car without knowledge about insurance, but this was excessive. When another agent finally came to the desk, he did the same thing, selling additional fees and service. I will NEVER use this place again.

Rented a car from E-Z car rental at Orlando, Florida International Airport, January 2016. On May 25, 2016 I noticed a charge from E-Z car rental for $26.00. I called E-Z customer service, spoke with Melanie (**), and inquired about this charge. She said that it was for a "toll violation." I explained that I did not have any "toll violations" and that I would NEVER even consider driving through a toll without paying. She said that I would need to call the "toll violation customer service" number: 407-277-2943. I called this phone number over and over again, and have been unable to reach a live person. There is an outgoing message that says, "Customer service is not available right now. Leave a message...blah, blah, blah."
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They will charge you for violations that never took place on your part and you will have no way to dispute the charges with E-Z car rental. Imagine if they charged $26.00 to 1000 unsuspecting customers who do not go over their credit card bills many months later with a fine tooth comb. This is "E-Z" money for this rental car company!! I will be contacting the Attorney General's Office to investigate their criminal activity.

I was on vacation and needed to get from destination to destination. I rented from E-Z Rent-A-Car because they were the cheapest. I made my reservation online and the process wasn't bad. On the pick-up, the reps were trying to upsell me on a better and more expensive car. They also pushed me into getting a SunPass and were telling me how I couldn't get around without one and there would be huge penalties, even though I was told afterwards that there are ways around it. I was very upset with some of the upsells that they pushed on me.
I realized a little bit later after I got in the car that the radio display wasn't working well. I called them up and they told me that I would be able to get a discount or go somewhere and exchange the car, but I didn't have the time or the need to go and exchange it. When I came back upon the return, I asked them what they can do for me and they told me it's something I have to take up with corporate. The car itself ran well and I enjoyed it. The overall experience was underwhelming.

E-Z Rent-A-Car has resolved my complaint. I'm not happy that it took months for them to do so, but I do have to give them credit for ultimately getting it right.

Whatever money you think you will save by booking with this company: It is not worth it. They will get their money from you. Specifically, they will tack on a bunch of charges to your bill and you will have no way to dispute them. This company does not respond to emails. They will bill you and then dodge you. I have the worst taste in my mouth from dealing with E-Z Rent-A-Car. It's not even about the money they took from me; it's about being treated with complete disregard. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, truly.

I waited what seemed to be all day in line to rent a car. I believe it was close to an hour. It took up to 30 minutes for some customers to be processed. This is way too long.

We were on vacation and decided to rent a car, and E-Z had the best price. We made the reservation online, which was quick and simple. The only thing was that the line was a little bit long that day, so we had to wait 25 minutes. But we’re very satisfied overall.

When renting in Orlando the representative asked me where I was going and I told him I was going to ESPN WWOS. He asked me if I wanted the toll package and I said no. Then he went on to tell me that I needed the toll package because there were tolls that did not accept cash and if I went through the toll and didn't pay there would be a hefty fine. With this information given to me I purchased the toll package.
As I headed to my hotel I heeded his direction of staying to the left. As I stayed left I noticed there was a place to pay for tolls, IN CASH!! I called the number on the rental agreement, but they were closed and I left a message. The next day I called the same number and the representative told me to go back in to the store and speak with a manager. The following day I did so and was told that they could take it off, but I would be charged $25 for going through the toll by the company. I only paid $30 (9.99/day) for the toll package. Either way I would still come out on the short end of the stick. At the end of the conversation the manager told me I could call the number on the rental agreement and see if there is anything they could do for me. Today I called them and was told they cannot override the local manager's decision. Terrible! I was lied to again. They just lost a customer.

We went on a vacation and used E-Z Rent-A-Car. I made my reservation online. It took longer than it should have but it wasn't a big deal. The day that I picked it up, I had purchased the insurance online and the agent tried to get me to cancel the insurance that I had already bought and then buy insurance from him. I thought that it was out of bounds. And he was way overboard as far as being pushy. He started telling me Hawaii didn't have the same rules as the United States and stuff that I knew is not true. But once I got out of the rental place, it was all fine. Also, the day I returned the vehicle, it was extremely smooth and everything went like normal when I rent a car. My wife and I detailed all the damage to the car before we took it as opposed to going over it with an agent but they were busy. It was strange. I thought they will go over the car but they just gave us a form with the car and then we needed to mark it all up where it was and then put it in the box.

We were on vacation and I had reserved with some other rent-a-car company. But then we had to delay our flight to Florida by one day for some business stuff, so I changed my reservation with that company. When I got there, they had given away all their cars so they sent me over to the E-Z Rent-A-Car desk. I wasn't very happy with E-Z at all. The rep basically shoved the toll road fee out on my car. When I asked what it was for, he said that I was going to have a ton of tolls and it was a great buy because we flew into Orlando and drove over to Sarasota at this time. It was 7 bucks a day and I hit two tolls on the way to Sarasota and two on the way back. I asked them to take that off because he didn't explain it thoroughly and they would not. I'll never rent from them again.
