    The representative at the San Antonio Airport rental center location did not honor my Priceline quote, and charged me a regular price. I had to have Priceline intervene to correct the issue and obtain the price adjustment. Either more training is needed or he was directed towards deceptive practices.

    I had to pay for the oil change within a week since I got the rental car. I rented for a month. I asked for the reimbursement after I dropped it off but have not heard from the local office for last 2 weeks. I was ok with the car but I think the local office should pay for the oil change.

    I waited in line for over 2 hours, along with many other disgusted people, to get my rental car. Once I was served, I was asked if I needed the E-Z Toll box and was told any toll road required the electronic toll box. Never having been in Colorado I didn’t know if I would be on a toll road. I told the agent where I was going and he said I wouldn’t need one. After going to my car, my wife and I decided we didn’t know where we were going and, if we did drive on a toll road we probably should have the box. I went back to ask the agent again if I should have one and was told, I probably should, but if I didn’t use it they would take it off the bill when I returned the car.

    When I returned the car, the yard person was checking cars in. I waited for him to check me in, but was told they would email me my receipt. I called Customer Service and asked to have the cost of the E-Z Toll removed from my bill, because I never needed it and was told by an E-Z Agent it would be removed from my bill. I was told that it would be investigated. Almost a week later I received a bill from E-Z that not only still had the E-Z charge on it, but was for 2 weeks instead of the 11 days I rented the car, and included a re-fill charge for fuel. I returned the Car with a full tank.

    I called Customer Service again and was told I never returned the car and I had to send proof it was returned and full of gas. I immediately sent them what they needed and a few days later received a new bill. Most of the taxes and fees were still higher than they should be. I sent another email to Customer Service with what I felt to be correct taxes and fees. I also told that the charge for E-Z Toll was still on the bill and was almost $40 higher than the rental agreement. I received an email yesterday in saying they agreed with my tax and fee calculations, but didn’t remove the E-Z charge. Yesterday I received a certified letter accusing me of not turning the car in. Unbelievable! I have rented a lot of cars over my lifetime and have never rented a car from a company as screwed up as E-Z Rent-a-Car. Sorry for rambling on. It takes a lot to piss me off, but they did.

    I enjoyed the vehicle provided, a Hyundai Elantra. It had the backup camera feature which was nice for parallel parking.     When departing the EZ location at Denver Airport, I was asked by the "Security person" if my gas tank was full. I looked at the gauge and told her that the tank was 3/4 full and asked if she wanted to look at the gauge on the vehicle. She said no. Later I looked at the paperwork I had signed to escape the rental location and get on with my vacation. The attendant had written "1/1" as the fuel contents. I felt cheated. It was not a lot of money to return the car full of fuel, and It was my fault I signed the paper, but I felt victimized. I did enjoy the Hyundai Santa Fe that I was upgraded to as the only Hyundai available, as the other models in the car class were Toyotas or Nissans. No thanks. So I guess the next time I need to rent a car I'll just have to think about whether I want to take a chance on your Company again.

    I was at the Denver location. The representative didn't explain the gas charges and all he said was "dont stop to get gas on your way back, you will get it here at a discount rate". I follow his instructions and got back with 1/3 of gas full. I was expected to get a bill for gas for about $30-$40 USD... When I got the bill in my email. I got a charge $80USD for gas! How in the world. I didnt rent a boat, it was an SUV. Then I called customer service to talk about the charges, and I got a really rude representative on the phone, I asked for a supervisor, and this one was worst than the associate. It was a terrible service and bad experience.

    According to the website I supposed to pay $30. They ended up charging me $138. They said I would save money using their E-ZPass, they lied. I told them I don't need additional insurance, the person charged me for it. I only noticed afterward and they refused to refund me even though it was their error. NEVER USE THEM!

    The car was fine, I was asked at the desk what city I was staying in. I said Aurora and was told I wouldn't have to worry about tolls. I was charged $25 a day for the days I was on the toll roads. Literally 5 mins after being told I wouldn't be on a toll road, the first freeway from the rental place was considered a toll road. I was told by the toll administration that I should have been offered something to avoid the $25 but never was or I declined it, which was not the case. The lies and lack of information from the rental car rep is unacceptable. I hope from now on all information will be properly explained.

    Check out and turn in were pretty chaotic, one attendant servicing a long line without much guidance once done and no attendant during turn in, was a bit confusing on process. Other than that, car was a good price, was not very clean, had been through a wash but lots of bugs, etc in grill/windshield and interior was ok. Would rent again due to price but suggest better signs/info on check out and turn in.

    I rented a vehicle at Phoenix airport. It was midnight by the time I arrived and thankfully there was no line. I was told by the employee it's a better deal to pay $2.85/gallon for the gas I used and to let Advantage refill the tank than to pay $3.50/gallon before returning the car to Advantage. I agreed. However, I was charged $52 even though I used less than 2 gallons of gas! I was never going to use much gas, and would have never agreed to these charges had the employee not been misleading.

    Upon reaching out to Advantage customer service (20 minutes on hold before I just sent an email) I was told they would not be assisting me and instead they will be keeping the windfall for themselves. I am a frequent traveler and have learned my lesson. I will let everyone know to avoid this company and am taking steps to ensure my company removes them from our travel app. Very disappointing.

    My name is Tawana **, I would first like to start off by saying Im a "rental member" with E-Z Rent A Car. I rented vehicles from E-Z Rent A Car a few times and never had a problem until now. On September 24, 2018 I rented a car from their Dallas Lovefield Airport (rental agreement **). I came in town for my Godson funeral (he committed SUICIDE). The young ladies at the counter were very helpful. After receiving my rental agreement forms, I was told that my car was ready. I walked to my rental, inspected it for any damages, then proceeded to leave the lot. The next day as I attended my Godson funeral, the car stopped on me, the service light displayed across the dashboard, so I had to have my AAA Roadside Assistance come out.

    I contacted E-Z Rental about my situation and asked how I can be compensated for my trouble and to extend my rental. I was told it was nothing they can do and it was going to cost $51 extra. Are you kidding me??? This how you treat your member who received a busted, broken down vehicle? Not to mention the day of me returning the rental the car stopped and my AAA roadside assistance had to come out... again. I contacted them to let them know my situation. They made it seem like everything was cool. I was told they discounted my rental and that my $200 deposit was placed back on my card. That was a LIE! They only placed $107 on my card. I was charged $34 for extra hour fees among other things. I contacted E-Z to asked what was going on with my full $200 being placed back on my card. The young man had no clue of what to explain to me.

    I was then told they was going to contact the Dallas Rental Department then call me back in 24 hrs. What??? I asked can I have the # to the Dallas office, I was told they didnt have one for me. So the only way you can talk with this company is through their 1-800#. They dont have a # for their other rental offices. I find this very disturbing. As a "rental member" I'm very hurt by this and will like for my funds to be placed back on my card as well as being compensated for my rental experience. This company is becoming shady with their hidden fees, misleading rental prices, and renting out damage vehicles that are not safe to drive. Something needs to be done!!!

    Reserved a car at E-Z Rent-A-Car online through holidaycars.com. Upon arrival to pick up car I was told they have no full size cars on the lot. If I cancel reservation I lose the total amount and still have to find a rental car, or upgrade for an additional $250.Went ahead and upgraded. You must look over your car in the dimly lit parking lot by yourself at 1am in the morning to check for damage to vehicle. Checked the website the next morning and it said they had all kinds of full size cars available and that my full size rental is guaranteed.

    After getting back home I called to ask for the upgrade fees to be reimbursed and they said I have not returned the vehicle. Next day got a certified letter that I have 10 days to give them their vehicle back or be charged with grand larceny. They put my name on a different vehicle than the one I rented. Got all of that straightened out then I get charged for toll road charges that were charged to the wrong vehicle. After 3 weeks of calls and emails and fighting with them I did get the tolls reimbursed and the difference for the upgrade. I was lied to, cheated out of money, and accused of stealing a vehicle. Will never do business with Hertz, Advantage, or E-Z Rent-A-Car. They are all the same company.

    We went with E-Z Rent-A-Car because we've used it before and never had problems plus they have good prices, but this time that was not the case. Me and my daughter's mother-in-law traveled from Puerto Rico to Toronto, landing at 11:30 pm and getting to the rental place at around 1 am. They get us the car and partially checked for scratches and damages using a cellphone flashlight. They noted a decent crash on the lower area of the frontal bumper and that was it. After traveling for 17 hours we were exhausted so we took the car and left. The next morning we all noticed some pretty decent scratches on the hood of the car, scratches that weren't noticed the previous night with the cell phone light, but we were on a pretty tight schedule and assumed they had seen them the night before so we used the car the rest of the week without saying anything.

    We got a Hyundai Sonata, great car, super efficient on gas, there was 4 of us in the car practically all the time and it was always comfortable. We were very pleased with it. I was supposed to take it back at 11 am, before my flight. It's the first time I drive on my own in Canada, so I got a bit lost even following the GPS, and got to the car rental closer to 12 pm, and this is when things went wrong. They started by charging me an additional day for the car. Even though I only got there an hour later than supposed to, and then blamed me and charged me $650 dollars for the scratches we had seen that first morning.

    I tried to explain the scratches were already there but my English is not the best, and the guy behind the counter didn't wanted to listen. I had to call my daughter, who was with me the whole week we were using the car and who speaks better English, to try to explain to the guy that the scratches were already there but he kept insisting even saying they had a specialist check them and determine they were very recent and fresh. The guy behind the counter went as far as to imply they were done that morning and that's why I got late to the rental place.

    Then proceeded to loudly humiliate me for not having the money to pay for the whole rental, which at first was supposed to be around $250 and ended up being $948, with my daughter on the phone. We ended up paying everything because my flight was in an hour and a half and I didn't wanted to miss it. I've never had a more humiliating and infuriating experience. It was obviously a scam to get more money out of a tourist, and it's a shame I had to leave such a beautiful country with this as my last experience.

    In January I purchased a pre-paid rental car reservation for 4 days (Jan 4th-8th) for the Las Vegas location. Jan 4th Boston was hit with a massive snowstorm and the airport was closed. I contacted E-Z Rent-A-Car to change the reservation to a 3 day rental (Jan 5th-8th). I was advised that I would have to cancel the first one and then re-book. I did that and received a refund and then a new charge. On Jan 5th I was still unable to leave Boston due to the storm and I canceled my trip. I called E-Z Rent-A-Car and was advised that they would not issue a refund as I was not making a new reservation. I had to cancel because the Mayor and Governor closed the airport. I contacted them by phone, e-mail and certified letter and they ignored me so I filed in small claims court. I won my claim but had to take a morning out of work to go to court and have them not show up. Shame on them. Not only did they lose the case, they lost a customer for life.

    This review is to override a bad experience when we picked up our car. We were fortunate to get a Toyota Camry that we used for ten days. That option is not usually available with car rental companies. We also found that the manager, James, was excellent and very helpful in helping us to have one of the best car rental experiences we have ever had. I would still advise against getting the Mitsubishi Outlander based on Consumer Reports but having the gem of a Camry was great.

    SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I made my reservation through Expedia, and was really happy with the rate of $40 a day. Once I got to the pickup location, first, the guy was the most unprofessional guy, leaning back in his chair with his feet on the counter, casually opening some container with fruit in it, sharing with someone else, and being uncooperative. It was 9pm. I was given an estimate of $84.12, which included liability insurance of $14.99, which was my option, toll pass (which was pushed by the counter person and didn't even need) at $9.99. I left the airport in the car, and it had already started raining pretty bad. It seems that the seal on the car door wasn't right, because it started leaking straight on me.

    I immediately called their 800 number, which by the way, is a hot mess to get through and at some point I even heard an option of "if you got a home bill collections letter" and "if you need an attorney", press such and such number. I finally get through an operator and she says I have to call back in the morning to see if they have another car to exchange it for. I ended up keeping the car and driving the whole next day 8 hours to Atlanta. I tried several times to call their customer service number to let them know I'd be there right on time, but never got a person. I finally get to the location, only to find that the EZ Rent a Car booth was closed, lights off, and no person in sight and no sign. They are listed to be open 24 hours. I went to another agency booth and they told me I had to turn the car in with a different company.

    Getting around the Atlanta airport to "the other company" took almost 30 minutes. Once I got there, I had to wait another 25 minutes for the lady to process the return. She just handed me a receipt at some point in between other clients and that was it... until I noticed that the "new" and previously undisclosed amount, came to $137.18. Not only did they charge me for the (unnecessary and unrequested) toll pass, and liability insurance, both per "calendar day" instead of a 24 hour rental (total scam), but they tacked on a bunch of other bogus charges, like a "tire battery fee" and some "concession fee", PLUS, they had the audacity to charge me $13.33 for a one hour late drop off fee.

    When I called their customer service, and finally got a person, all she kept saying is that they have my signature and can charge me anything they want. She REFUSED for 45 minutes to let me talk to a manager, saying "at this company, it is not possible to speak with a manager". She finally took off the one hour charge (how gracious), and never even addressed the fact that they gave me a messed up car. My phone was plugged in the whole way for GPS and kept getting kicked off. Such a crap car (Kia). I did call my cc company and they are disputing the bogus charges. We'll see. Meanwhile, save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company. Even my cc company felt that there is something fishy about this company and the way they scam people.

    Avoid E-Z Rent-a-Car. When I arrived at Dallas-Fort Worth, a visitor to the United States, I was talked into paying $12.99 a day for 22 days ($285.78 in all) for use of the E-Z Texas toll road transponder. There are very few toll roads in Texas. As far as I was aware I went on either one or two, and the toll per usage was about $3. So $6 of tolls cost $285.78. Welcome to Texas and have a nice day: you have just been ripped off by E-Z Rent-a-Car.

    As an alternative, E-Z charges a shocking $25 "administration" fee per toll (payable to E-Z, not to the toll-road company). Another rip-off from a rip-off organisation. E-Z gouges its customers. Other companies with much better reputations charge FAR LESS. Hertz charges a $4.95 daily fee plus tolls, with a $24.75 maximum fee per rental. Avis charges $3.75 a day up to a maximum of $19.75 for a month (plus tolls, which are negligible). Even E-Z's own parent company, Advantage, charges only around $25 per rental. I was overcharged by more than $250. E-Z Rent-a-Car took outrageous advantage of their superior local knowledge. Do not rent a car E-Z Rent-a-Car.

    Crooks. DO NOT RENT FROM E-Z Rent-A-Car. I noticed a dime size scratch at the bottom of the windshield right after we pulled out. I didn't return the vehicle as I was meeting my son after landing in Denver. Big mistake!!! I assumed they were aware. Rather than contact me, they turned me over to a collection agency and sued me for $271.50. This is a very unethical company. Do NOT rent from them!

    The worst, uneasy place. Guy at front counter was denying us our car in Nashville TN airport. Refusing to reimburse us because I didn't have a credit card in my name even though I had all identification included my birth certificate. He expected us to return home and come back. How the heck would anyone afford to do anything like this when you are supposed to be on a vacation. He refused my husband's to be a driver, made us pay extra two hours for rental and then gives us inaccurate directions to get the car and took an hour to get the vehicle. We even had our dog with us. Nothing seemed to matter to this guy. We reported it. They are defending this person that shouldn't be employed. The worst, difficult, disrespectful place I have ever dealt with. Run. Do not rent from this place.

    I reserved a car online with a specified amount. When we arrive at the counter the agent didn't know about my first deposit to reserve the car and additionally charge me for "other" services. The total came out to be twice the amount initially specified. Then your option will be to lose the initial deposit or get overcharged. Is that fair? Not in my book.

    I had a reservation for a Sonata, but received an Impala, which I will not take again! The car's seats were not at all comfortable. The car kept saying the oil was down to 30%, then 20% & 10% & needed to be changed & it was low on oil. It also gave warning of bad tire pressure, which turned out to be correct. I had to go to 3 different places to buy the specified weight of oil it required & a tire gauge. The tires were 40 psi, 30, 36 & 20 psi. There also seemed to be an issue with the car engine and air conditioner shutting down when pulling up to a stop light or stop sign. It cut the air off & the engine went quiet. When you started off again, it did come back on & it was very hot there the whole trip to keep having the A/C quit. There also seemed to be a problem in the rear-end that showed up while stopped at a stop light. I did call in & report it to 3 different people. Two days before I was to turn it in, they did say I could return the car for a swop.

    Rented from E-Z in Toronto. As others have mentioned the off site airport pick up is confusing and long waits. I called the number for pick up that was given in our confirmation email and was another car rental name. I had to ask if I had the correct rental agency. The shuttle that eventually showed up had yet another rental company name on it. Had to ask to be sure we were getting on the correct shuttle. The actual rental office was in a small strip mall. The office was also a low budget hotel lobby. Very busy but the customer service people were friendly. Their fleet of cars were newer models but damaged. Ours had several scratches, scrapes and dings. I did see several others that were in worse shape. Drop off took an extremely long time.

    Usually with other rental agencies there is an attendant that helps with the return process. Here we had to fend for ourselves. We had to wait in a long line inside the office. When we pulled in to the parking lot there was no place to park. The parking situation was comical. No place to navigate turns or park with additional cars coming in. I would not recommend E-Z rental. It definitely was not EZ. The rental rates are not much different than some of the bigger name companies. Beware if you decide to rent from them, this is definitely a low (very low) budget car rental company. My opinion is they make too many budget cuts.

The salesman was very pushing and aggressive about me needing to get insurance and road side assistance with them. I had to be very stern and it seemed like I would not be able to rent the car without their insurance (though I have my own personal insurance). I ended buying the smallest policy and wish I did not spend the extra money.

    I wrote into EZ Rent A Car to make them aware of my experience and was communicating with Julio ** a customer service specialist who ultimately did nothing but offer an apology. (Poor customer service). Here is why I am so upset with my experience: My wife, my grandfather who will be 97 years young in two days and I traveled from New Jersey to Florida. We flew to Florida to accompany my grandfather back to his residence in Cape Coral, FL.

    My wife and I visit Florida at least 4 times a year and we always use the same rental car service, however this time we saw that there was a much cheaper option with EZ Rent A Car and decided to try it out. The only difference we noticed was that for this particular rental car service we would have to take a shuttle to pick up our vehicle. This was not an issue since we have taken shuttles to rental cars at many other airports and locations when traveling for business or leisure. Our reservation was for Sunday August 26-Sunday September 2, 2018 for pickup and drop off at RSW Airport and our confirmation number is **.

    We landed at RSW airport and proceeded to follow signs to the rental car shuttle. We had to walk outside in the sun, only to wait in what looked like a bus stop cubby which was even hotter. We arrived at the shuttle stop at 11:21 AM. About 5 minutes later a different rental car shuttle came and we asked when our shuttle would arrive. The gentleman said that “EZ rental car was downsizing and there was only 1 driver on duty and he should be here soon”.

    Fifteen minutes later which felt like two hours we were soaked in sweat and no shuttle. Various other shuttles had come and gone, some more than once. My grandfather became dizzy and I decided it was best to walk him back to the airport to cool off. During the same time my wife called EZ Rent A Car to see when the shuttle would arrive. They said the driver was on his way. Our shuttle arrived at 12:33PM.

    I had to leave my grandfather in the airport, take the shuttle to pick up the rental car and then drive back to the airport where my grandfather had to wait alone.

    This was absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of our time. The delay in the shuttle and downsizing of the company is not my issue and should not have affected us the way it did. My grandfather who is 97 should not have to wait outside in the sun in 93 degree weather. The customer service and time management for this company is horrible. As a business owner myself I would never allow this type of delay in shuttle services especially knowing many elderly people live in this area. This should be on the news letting people know how EZ Rental car lets their customers wait hours in the sun!

    The you front counter worker was very rude and not helpful. Was on a personal phone call all the time I was there. If you have a camera at the counter you can see. I let her know this was my first time there, she recommended I use another rental car place cause, question her on the price.     Located car in parking garage. Started car and saw “low tire pressure” indicator light was on for front passenger tire. Walked around, looked at it, saw it appeared low. Flagged down an attendant who pointed me in the direction of the mechanic shop. Drove to shop, got out and explained to mechanics about tire. As I looked more closely at the tire I observed a nail/screw head sticking out. One of the mechanics yanked out a large screw and plugged the tire.

    As I was driving to my destination, I noticed the windshield needed cleaning so I squirted washer fluid along with the wipers and... no washer fluid! As soon as I found a store, I stopped and bought some. In the parking lot of the store I opened the hood and poured in the entire bottle! The inside of the windshield also needed to be cleaned. Next day, passenger seat belt alarm (“ding-ding”) wouldn’t turn off until I clicked the seat belt, even though I had no passenger! I trust I will be offered a deep discount for these inconveniences! If so, I’ll consider using E-Z Rent A Car in the future.

    My experience renting from your company was greatly impacted by misleading information from EZ customer service. I originally booked through AMEX travel, my travel plans changed and needed to add an extra day to my itinerary. I EZ called customer service 48 hrs before pick up to ask how I could add an extra day at the same rate I had booked through AMEX travel. I was told to ask the desk agent to add the extra day at pick. The desk agent did add the extra day but charged me double the original rate ($64). When I questioned this, she told me that the system would not let her change the rate & suggested I call AMEX travel.

    I called AMEX who put me through to EZ but the agent refused to refund any part of the charges (I simply asked to be charged the daily rate that I had originally booked through AMEX travel $32 per day) I did not understand why I was charged double for the extra day. I was told that I should have cancelled & rebooked, this was a direct contradiction of the EZ original agent. I am still very upset, I feel I was misled by your company.

    Paid for my E-Z Rent-A-Car reservation through Priceline, it was nearly as much as my flight. Upon picking up the car, they wanted my credit card info to charge deposit of 200 that they explained will be returned. Ok, I gave it to them. THEN, they tried to get me to buy insurance. Be very careful here. I refused, I said I have my own insurance. They said I must pay for a waiver?? Why? I have my own insurance, end of story. They said it only costs $25 -- they led me to believe it's a nominal one-time $25 fee. They didn't tell me it was 25 a day and thus charged my credit card around $451. Why do I need to pay to waive insurance everyday?

    They returned the 200 deposit but got away with $251. They refused to refund me. Thieves!

    I reached at Boston airport center to pick up the car reserved at 6am. No one at the desk with sign saying go to garage to get car. I went down to garage and met an employee who said he did not have authority to give cars and neither did he have a single clean car ready to be rented out. He asked me to wait at the desk. After no one showing up, I went down again to garage and called his manager. Long story short after much hassle and significant delay was able to get a somewhat clean car. Quite bad experience.

    When I collected the car I had asked for a different drop off location for $50. I was then informed that despite the collision damage coverage I bought, it is compulsory by state law to have these 2 additional insurance policies; Supplemental liability & renters liability protection.     In the end I paid $933.36 plus a $200 deposit to rent the most basic car on the market for 10 days. Clearly something must be wrong here. The website gave me no information on the additional fees I would be paying with the service provider yet the whole reason I chose EZ Rental is because it had the best online listing price which was $305.77 + $110 for insurance. So, 305.77 + 110 + 50 = $465.77... $933??? Waiting for your feedback.

    I have never had good service with Advantage or EZ. When I arrived in LAX I had to wait 25 minutes for a shuttle to come through the airport terminal. I watched the other rental car shuttles come through at least three times before the EZ shuttle came through. Once I finally got to the EZ rental car building, there was at least 30 people in line and one EZ employee issuing cars. I had to wait another hour before I was issued a car. The entire process took about an hour and forty minutes which is ridiculous.

    I barely drove my car. I drove it from the rental car lot to the Hilton Garden Inn at Redondo Beach and from the hotel back to the car lot. I barely used any gas and only drove about 25 miles. You couldn't even tell I had driven on the gas gauge, but the lady charged me gas AFTER I had to wait 15 minutes on her to check me out after returning the car. I will never rent from this company again and I will not approve travel for any of my employees that have this company in their travel reservations.

Lady behind counter then told me I HAD to have EZ pass for tolls or I'd be fined $25 per toll, WHICH IS WRONG WITH RENTAL CARS. BECAUSE OF THAT I LOST ABOUT $45. SHE IS TRICKING PEOPLE! I was then given a car with bad alignment, 3 broken hub caps (one that was held together with tape). Very very disappointed, I was in town to bury my mom. The last thing I needed was a dishonest rep, and a bad car.

    My wife and I rented a car from EZ Rent-A-Car in Quebec, Canada. We incurred the following issues: On the original rental agreement from Expedia, the rental was supposed to be for unlimited mileage. When we arrived to pick up the car, it turned out it wasn't unlimited mileage. It was too late to rent from another rental agency so we had no choice but to accept their terms. They added a $195.00 drop off charge which we were not told was part of the agreement. We arrived on time to turn the car in, but we had to wait over 30 minutes to return the car. This went over the return time, so they charged us another day. We would happily pay the original estimate of $373.00 but ended up paying $660.00. We believe that we are owed the difference of $287.00 back on our credit card.

    I recently rented a compact car from E-Z Rent-A-Car at the Orlando International Airport MCO for 4 days. The cost of the rental was less than 150.00 with taxes. So why was my CC charged more than 273.00 for my rental and ripped off by this company. I called today to find out after waiting a week to see if they were returning a deposit. The night before I filled the car up and even topped it off one last time before returning the car very early in the morning to catch a flight. When I called they said I had returned the car with an empty gas tank. They charged me 120.00 at 9.00 per gallon to fill up a car that was already full and topped off. So I sent the CC statement showing my gas purchase the day before. Further, the 2017 Hyundai Accent which only holds 11.4 gallons of fuel at 9 per gallon would only be 102.60 if the car was indeed empty.

    Should you rent from this hose bag company? Absolutely not! I intend to post this information far and wide across FB, Twitter, you name it to inform people about this company. A customer should never have to go through something like this in dealing with a rental company for a weekend trip. No matter if it was a mistake or not, I have not had any response to my emails to the company, no refund and by the time I am done writing on every forum on the internet I hope to save other customers the hassle. Go with a name brand company well know. E-Z Rent-A-Car money stealing thieving fraudulent car rental, no way, stay away!!

    I rented a car from them for 2 wk due to an accident I gotten into. I inform them that I might return it early if my claim is settle. They told me I'll be reimbursed for the days that I don't use. My total charge for 14 days was 594.00. I return it 2 days early and was charge 590.00. I call in to see if it was an error but was inform that it was prorated. What a joke. Stay clear from E-Z RENT A CAR. I'll be reporting them to the BBB and write to all the new channels with PROOF to let them know what kind of company they are.

    2nd off!!! If you disregard all the negative comments and do rent with these scammer. Make sure you mark every dent and take picture before you drive off. Before I drove off I told them about the back and front being dented up. They told me they got all that down etc., etc. Came back to return the car and they told me that one of these dent wasn't on there. Try to make me sign a report. Which I didn't sign and told them I'll fight them on this all the way to court. They told me that the car was gone way too long and the dent wasn't there. What does renting it for a day or 14 day got to do with a dent. Then they told me to, "Get the hell out of here, just go." I remain there wishing they would try to make me go.

    WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. First of all me and a bunch of other travelers waited at the pickup spot at Island 4 under the E-Z rental sign for an hour. THREE full shuttles passed us by. The driver just threw his hands up when he saw us and kept driving. Two of us called customer service and they said to keep waiting. Finally noticing ADVANTAGE on the side of the shuttle a traveler said 'let's go to the other end where Advantage is picked up.' (They are on the opposite ends of the island from each other.) We did and that's when we finally got a shuttle. WHO KNEW?? Then we waited an hour in line at E-Z to get our car, the place was packed full of customers waiting. THEN I was charged a $200 deposit which I've never had to pay when renting a car. The agent explained nothing to me.

    Luckily I found an employee in the parking lot who told me to mark the damage to the vehicle on the slip of paper and have the security guard sign it. I'm very uneasy as to whether I'll be reimburse even though I filled the tank and took photos of the car when I picked it up. The car had dings and smelled like pot inside. I would never recommend E-Z Advantage to anyone. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'll pay a little more and rent from a big name. Terrible experience, terrible customer service. Worst of the worst. I'd BETTER NOT be charged for anything above my rental fees or there will be Hell to pay. I used no toll roads and sustained no damage.

    DO NOT rent a car from this company!!! From Boston Airport - Was the WORST experience I have ever had renting a car! I will never use this company again! The car was absolutely disgusting and so dirty you couldn’t even see out the windows (any of them). Plus I found use napkins and somebody’s hair comb between the seats. They don’t clean their cars inside! It wasn’t even vacuumed! Then they overcharge you. My reservation was for $463. I ended up paying $601 for almost a total of three days! Granted I added the collision insurance and a $29 EZ pass which only use probably the max $10.00. I’m just be careful if you rent from them!

    My daughter went to pick up a car that I reserved for her at the Atlanta Airport. It had on the reservation that the car had unlimited miles. When she got to the counter they told her that it was not unlimited miles and she had to pay $20.00 a day to get it unlimited. She went ahead and agreed to that because her grandmother is passing away and she had to get home as soon as she can. I tried calling but the customer service is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. I so do not want anyone else to deal with such a bad company so please be aware that this company is a rip off and next time we will so rent from one of the other ones that are available. I hope they go under.

    I went to the company at the Atlanta airport. This is one of the worst companies I have ever encountered. Not only did they overcharge me on taxes and fees that they had previously quoted me. They gave me a car with bald tires that blew up and didn’t provide a spare. I had to use my AAA to tow it over 130 miles back to the rental company, and was charged for not filling it up with gas!!! I tried contacting customer service 10 times to come to some resolution, but they wouldn’t talk to me or amend the situation. They are shady and unconcerned with their customers. They give completely unsafe cars to their guests. I would I rather take the bus for an entire trip than deal with them again. I feel completely violated and unnerved that they are in business.

    After waiting almost 2 hours in line to rent this car (with a reservation), I received the car and was eager to leave the lot. 1.5 hours down the road, I discovered that they hadn't given me a key fob for the push-button-start car. Had to call and spend another hour on the phone trying to figure out if it had been put in the car. After tearing the car apart, I found it under the driver's seat. I assume the attendant put it on the center console, and it fell off when he drove it over to the building.

    Upon returning the car, I filled the gas tank, and returned the car to the lot (1/8 of a mile away from the gas station). I checked my credit card statement 2 days later and found that they had charged me $142 for filling the gas tank! Called and was on hold for about 30 min, spoke with KC who assured me she'd call me back within 24 hours, but no call. I'm now in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company. What a headache. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LOVE A HASSLE.

    My rental was Aug.12, in Bar Aguadilla location. I was propelled to write this review, because in my years renting vehicles, never have I been more disappointed in a vehicle rental place. Initially I had placed the reservation through Expedia, where I had purchase their least expensive insurance. When I reach this E-Z car location they immediately they claim I needed to present proof of prepaid insurance. I had to leave the premises, drive 6 miles, in order to get wi-fi on my phone, to have Expedia send them an e-mail. (Where’s the customer consideration?) As I return to culminate my rental, I get attended by another employee, this time a female, which just wanted to destroy whatever hope I had left for this company to make it right.

    Apparently, their employees don’t want you to speak out for your rights, so that way they can reach deeper into pockets, with hidden fees. I have names of both employees, that seemed destined to drive this company out of business. (10 dollars toll act. fee + 9.00 daily.) even if you go through it once in entire vacation. (Really). One time authorization fee of 250 dollars ++ rental fee of vehicle for whatever days. Why not a one time hold of whatever your rental will be? Unfortunately, as a responsible consumer, you only get taken once. They have a mere 20 to 30 minutes, to make the best impression ever on a customer, but instead take the unpolite, rude, selfishness ways. Give them an (F).

    We rented a van in Atlanta to travel down to Florida. We found when driving in the rain the vehicle did not grab the road as it should. We found the front tires were bald. We had taken pictures of the car in the rental car place but it was dark so we didn’t realize how bad the tires were. We had to waste a day of vacation fighting the car company to get the tires replaced.

    We called the 800 number and were told to call Atlanta. The clerk in Atlanta said we would be fine. I said I would send a picture of the tires. He said not necessary. I hung up and called the local sheriffs’ department to come and advise us. He said the car was unsafe. Told us to call credit card company and to stop payment on car rental. He said they generally have more clout to get a solution. He said call car company back and say car is unsafe to drive and since there was no Advantage car rental place in Destin or Fort Walton, Fl we should be able to take car to get tires replaced or we will stop payment and leave car in condo parking lot for them to pick up or at Ft Walton airport.

    This time I called the corporate office with this information and finally after 3 hours, the corporate office said we could go to a local Pepboys to get tires replaced. We drove there and the rep said as soon as he saw the tires “How could a company ever rent a car with tires as bald as they were. Two hours later we were able to drive back to our condo with good transportation. Eight hours of beach recreation time was wasted fighting for a safe car.

    I would have given no stars (if I could have) had I not gotten satisfaction when I called the corporate office. I know we rented from a new economy company (only saved $3 a day off of rate from Enterprise) and I will be more careful that I check the tires along with checking for any scratches, and I will make certain that the rental company has sites near our destinations for better service. I don’t think I will rent from E-Z again.

    I did not sign up at checkout for refill by EZ Car. I filled the tank before I returned it. When I got back to Tennessee, I noticed that I was charged $30 to fill the tank. There is no way it could have cost $30 to fill the tank when I had just filled it even if EZ Rental had to top it off.     I feel like this company has stolen $250 of my money. They charged me more than $12 a day to use their Texas toll tag on a 22-day hire. I have since discovered that other companies charge less than $5 and have a maximum monthly charge of under $20. As an overseas visitor arriving at Dallas I had no idea about this scam and it was presented to me as a perfectly normal charge. The directors of EZ are no doubt proud of themselves. They should be ashamed. Welcome to Texas, you have just been ripped off.

    This company has the worst polices, our flight was delayed and they gave away our rental. We arrived at 3 am only to be told they are out of vehicles. I made my reservation 3 months in advance and called the day of to confirm all was good. After being told "sorry we are out of vehicles, come back in morning" I contacted the company and was told maybe by 3 pm I had to pay for a hotel because we had no vehicle. Customer service was extremely rude and no one cared that we were stuck with no car and nowhere to go.

The issue of fuel has been resolved but they need to improve their service in denver area. May be a self-service Kisok would help in reducing the wait time if they don't have enough agents on duty.

    I rented Chevy Tahoe from the Denver airport on 7/20 for 3 days. It took unusually long time to get the shuttle, and when I was down to the rental place, the line was also very long. I had a confirmed reservation number for the quoted price. Finally, when my time came, the agent was not able to provide me the vehicle that was quoted (Chevy Suburban) instead I had to settle with Chevy Tahoe.

    I needed Suburban with all our luggage and etc. Because of that I got into another technical problem with Tahoe, and was stranded in the parking lot at Estes Park for hours, the car would not back-up because of all the luggage in the trunk, and park assist was disabled for some reason due to overcrowding of luggage. The car would start but would not engage in drive mode at all. I called the company for help, and later google the problem to find a solution. I was able to drive the car after rearranging luggage. We had to rearrange the luggage which took off the leg room for 2 passenger of the 3rd row. It was a very uncomfortable ride for them for many many hours (trip to Rocky Mountain Trail Ridge Road, and Aspen).

    During the rental process, the agent raised the rate by $270 and brought the final price to more than $750. I had to argue with him to honor their quoted price. The agent did not properly explained me what I was being charged for, and did not ask me if I wanted to purchase the fuel. While returning the vehicle, I filled the tank to full and it was only after returning I came to know that I was charged for full tank of gas without my knowledge (the agent did not explained me and I unknowingly signed the rental agreement). I would not have bought the fuel from them and as I had never purchased fuel from rental agency before.

    I always prefer to return with full tank of gas, and as always I returned with full tank. Now after returning the vehicle I came to know that I was charged for the fuel $78.49. The receipt says, "Fuel out: Full and Fuel In: 3/8," although I returned the car with full tank of gas. The charge was $78.49. Where did the remaining 5/8 gas go E-Z Rental?? How nice of you to add fuel purchase order without even asking me, only to later find out about that? I will never ever rent from this rental car company again. This is not the way a business should be done. I have rented many, many time for personal/business trip from other leading rental agencies in the past, and car rental was never such a disappointing.

I was charged for the small car plus the full size car. My total bill came to 301.00, I tried calling their customer service during the hours it says on the voicemail, I said they are closed...     My flight was three hours late to Denver due to weather. Upon arriving at E-Z Car Rental the line was out the door. It was apparent that they were severely understaffed. I waited patiently in line for over 2 1/2 hours. When I finally made it to the counter I was informed that I missed my pick up time and they did not have any full size cars available. I was forced to upgrade to an embarrassingly dirty SUV for $254.00. I believe this is their business model, charge an initial low price and force the customer to upgrade. Never again will I use non E-Z Car Rental!

    Their ad leads one to believe the rental counter is at the Salt Lake City airport. You will actually have to take a shuttle 10 minutes to the rental car location. When we returned the rental vehicle, my husband requested a receipt and was told “the receipt you have when you rented the car is your receipt.” When we returned home, my husband received an email and the amount charged was for $190.00 more than the amount on the signed receipt.

    On the itemized list was a charge for “cleaning up cigarettes.” Neither of us smoked in the vehicle and the vehicle was quite clean when we returned it. My husband called and was told there was cigarette smoke and a cigarette butt on the passenger floor. Well, I don’t smoke and am allergic to cigarette smoke so there was no cigarette smoke or butts when we were occupying the vehicle. This is why the car should have been inspected and we should have been given a receipt. This is a very bad policy. Beware renting a car with E-Z!

    When we arrived at the E-Z rental counter at MCO, it was 11:55 pm. We had gone through several issues with our flight being cancelled, and were arriving in Orlando a full 12 hours later than we had planned for. We were greeted by Ahsan, who was very kind. We chatted about our terrible travel day, and that his family worked in a school, same as myself. He noted that I was in a wheelchair, and asked if we were going to be transporting it. We let him know we had rented an ECV scooter, which we would be moving between our hotel and Disney. He said that he was worried it wouldn’t fit, and since he felt a connection with us through his family also being educators, that he would upgrade us to a van at no cost.

    He then asked if my daughter who was with me would be driving the car. We said it was possible, but we weren’t sure. He said that it was usually about $13 a day to add a driver, but he would do that for us at no charge as well. We were very grateful for his helpfulness, as we were exhausted after a long day of travel mishaps. When it came time to sign, I repeatedly asked if he was sure that the additional driver charge and upgrade were free. He assured me that there was no charge. I was not understanding why my total was $371, when my confirmation had said that I would owe $207 at the counter. I had also prepaid a $94 deposit at the time of booking.

    Since I had added on the SunPass option, I was expecting about $267. He said that he could not find my $94 prepayment, that he was sure it was accounted for in the total, and that I wasn’t being charged anything extra. He said I would have to call to find out about it. With his assurances that we were not being charged for an extra driver, and that I would be able to call to inquire about my $94 deposit. We signed and took possession of the vehicle.

    I thought it was very strange that I was told to inspect the car myself for damages, which I did, finding a big scratch down the side of the van. We pointed this out to the attendant who notated it on our paperwork. The car itself was wonderful and perfect for our trip. During our vacation, I was bothered by the higher than quoted amount. I looked at my paperwork and sure enough there was a $10 per day/$70 charge for an upgrade!! Since I wanted to discuss my apparently missing deposit with a manager as well, I opted to discuss it with management when I brought the vehicle back.

    I ended up speaking with Cassandra upon return, who was unbelievably rude and dismissive. She barely glanced at my paperwork, told me it was signed for and that was all she could say about it. She told me that the $94 must have been a booking fee. No way!! My paperwork clearly shows it being a prepayment. She refused to further investigate, adjust the charges, or escalate to another manager.

    As for the upgrade fee, she said it was “he said/she said” and there was nothing she could do about it. When I expressed how frustrated I was that their employee seemingly lied, she said that he charged me the upgrade fee instead of the additional driver fee. She said if I wanted, she could charge me both!! How rude. I couldn’t believe how dismissive she was about the situation, offering no assistance whatsoever. I need to know what happened to my $94 deposit which I have a receipt for, and a reversal of the $70 upgrade fee that I was told was going to be at no charge.

    When checking in the individual told me I could bring the vehicle back empty that the government rate already included fuel. On two occasions I asked him if I was getting charged for fuel up front or after the fact and he told me no. I did not pay attention and he had charged me for pre-paid fuel. The government will not pay for pre-paid fuel so I had to pay the $65 out of my pocket. Another issue was that the vehicle only had a half a tank of fuel when it was given to me but I was charged for a full tank of fuel. I asked the guy at drop off about it and he said they would take care of it.

    If it is lawful to do so in the state you are in, make sure you make a recording of your transaction at the customer service counter. E-Z slipped things in to the fine print and charged me for things that I explicitly stated I did not want. The price at the counter was different than what Priceline had quoted and the guy behind the counter assured me that everything over the amount originally quoted by Priceline would be refunded upon the return. It was a different story when I returned the car.

    Reserved and paid for a minivan to transport my party of 7 from Atlanta to Birmingham for a wedding. I did this on the EZ Car website. Upon arrival I was asked how many in my party and then was informed that there was no van available and the only vehicle that was big enough for my party was a Yukon at an upcharge. After the weekend was over I called to voice my displeasure. I had the rudest customer service representative. I told him I didn't feel it was right to charge for an upgrade when they couldn't accommodate my reservation. The representative informed me that I had options...     Being a long time E-Z (L&M) customer, I made a mistake during our last visit. After leaving the toll road we always travel I drove through the wrong gate on another toll road. Although I immediately pulled over, telling the attendant my error and offering to pay, he assured me that was not necessary and he would see to it that I would not be charged. Several weeks later an additional E-Z charge did show up on my credit card statement. I called E-Z and explained what happened. I admitted it was my error and was not contesting the extra charge.

    My concern was that I would be penalized with some type of surcharge next time I rented from E-Z. The patient, wonderful lady I spoke with stated she very much appreciated my honesty and that my future account with E-Z would not be affected by my mistake. This was good news for me since I have used E-Z (L&M) exclusively for the past decade (and longer) during my 2-3 trips to FL each year and have always been treated very well.

    After not having the right size car I reserved I had to pay to upgrade. Then not been told about tolls in Florida I was charged another $93 for tolls. Customer service is not in the USA it is in the Philippines and hard understand who you are speaking with. The rate of 133+ taxes and fees of $218 I was quoted turned out to be $491. I am not happy about this.

    Overall I was very happy with the service. The process was very smooth and quick. The lady I worked with was very friendly and professional. However, although I understand it is her job to sell things such as SunPass, I feel like I was deliberately mislead. I specifically asked if SunPass was needed where we were going (Key West). She said yes because there were spots the entire way that used it. Trusting her I paid the $10 per day for it. It was a HUGE waste of money. Outside of Miami we never saw one SunPass. Next time I'll do my homework, but being able to trust what I'm told would make huge difference on my opinion of a company.

    Myself along with a few other customers arrived to return the rental at an hour the office was closed, approximately 4:30AM. Not a single customer was informed of how to drop off the car or if there was a shuttle available to transport to the Fort Myers airport. No information was available online and no one was available on the phone through the toll free number. We called a location in Orlando for instructions. I shall not rent from a place that is this disorganized and leaves in customers in the dark as how to make their flight on time. The return time was listed on the rental agreement so there is no reason we should not have been informed of the policy during the initial checkout.

    The car I rented was a Chevy Cruze. It was ok to handle but did not have a comfortable ride. It looked ok at first but after I had it for a day I noticed the passenger seats were stained and I had been the only one in the car. It shuttered off at stop lights and burned a lot of fuel. Poor Car.

    Headed to Colorado for a week with a diving buddy. We made all the arrangements in January, for a May trip. There was a wait at location, but that’s what I expected. What I didn’t expect was the agent flat out lying to us. I asked what the charge for second driver would be? He said there was no charge for drivers over 25. He filled out the computer forms. He asked if we wanted the guaranteed $2.50 per gallon for gas, allowing us to bring car back “empty”. I asked for the charge. He said the car had an 18 gallon tank. I checked. It was 14.5 or 16, depending. I agreed to 16 gallon charge at 2.50 per gallon. I refused insurance because I have the necessary coverages. My friend came to counter and asked again about 2nd driver charge and was told no charge. He took her license info. He had me initial places. I told him I couldn’t read small print. He said it was what he just went over about insurance and fuel.

    Our $267.74 car rental went to $404.63. I’m told it was 2nd driver charges and taxes. I asked for exact fuel charge and it wasn’t available. The taxes went from $20.90 to $45.10 on concession fee. Why? From $25.21 to 33.51 on state tax. How? County rental fee from $4.48 to 34.32. Are you kidding? Why? What caused that to happen? I was also told we were taxed on the fuel. What was the ‘savings’ to buy the fuel from EZ if you added taxes? Never again! When we returned the car the people on both sides of me were having the same conversation about misrepresentations by agents. I never drove the car. Altitude sickness made the week not great. Checked with two other car rental places. They agreed the charges were padded. Their words. As a retired Insurance agent with decades of car rental experience, I can honestly say this is the baddest of the bad.

    I was really disappointed with E-Z representative. We rented a Kia for 3 days. The wait was a little long because the agent was dealing with a customers that did not speak English very well. When it was my time to be service, I was not bothered by the wait, however she began to complain to us about the language barrier which really took me by surprise considering she worked at an airport where she would encounter customers from around the world. I have two major complaints about my encounter with Sharon.

    First she told me that we needed to add the toll fee because we could not get into Seattle without traveling over the toll bridge and if we did not pay the fee we would be charged $25.00+toll. So I agreed to add the 9.99/day. I asked if we did not use the tollways would I be reimbursed and she said yes. I did not use tolls because I wanted to get my refund back. When I received my invoice, I was charged for the tolls for 3 days. I then called E-Z and was told that I had to pay regardless if I used the toll or not. The fees were for the service not the tolls.

    Secondly, she mentioned the gas if we wanted to prepay. I said no. She then stated that they charge the same amount as outside whether I prepay or not. I still declined the offer and I am happy I did because as noted on my invoice E-Z charges $8.99/gal. I don't know if it was a training issue or if she was just trying to sell additional service. I filed a complaint because I don't feel I should be charged for the toll fees when I was not given correct information. She lied twice to me. My sister was traveling with me and she heard too exact information she gave me. I recommend that agent should explain in full details when adding additional charges to a contract.

    I booked through Priceline and paid $86.14 for 4 days. When I picked up the car there was an extremely long wait. The representative asked if I would like to prepay for fuel at $2.50/gal, which I agreed to. My girlfriend was with me and he asked if she would be driving and I said maybe, he then said that is fine I will just need to see her license. No mention of any additional charges or anything else. I had declined liability insurance as well. He then asked for a credit card because I would need to pay for a $200 deposit. My card was then charged $239.33 for what I assumed was the deposit and ~$39 for fuel. I then initialed a few tiny boxes on the credit card reader without ever seeing a summary of the charges.

    When I returned the car I noticed that I had been charged $2.81/gal, $53.96 for an additional driver, $103.96 for insurance, and ~$100 for other taxes and fees. I was not getting any deposit back... The representative lied directly to my face about the fuel and was deceptive about what I was being charged for. You are expected to sign a screen with nearly illegible print and unclear terms before you even see a complete bill of what you are agreeing to. This is unacceptable and nobody should support this business and their practices. I was charged a total of $325.47 for a vehicle for 4 days, when I expect it to cost $86.14 when I booked it through Priceline.

    I should have read the poor reviews. I booked and the confirmation date came back with different dates. I called and they said they will cancel with full refund and to book again. I did and the date came back in confirmation wrong again. I called within 10 minutes, spoke to a rep and was told it would be fully refunded in 2 business days. They refunded all but $50. Called my credit card and credit card company disputed with me and I did not pay nor will do business with this E-Z rental company. I heard this happens with them before. Shame on them. The first agent did not document our conversation honestly. Common sense says I called right away because there was an issue. All I wanted was to fix it.

    I rented a car and was told the deposit was 200 hundred dollars then charged me 391 for the total rental and 140 as well so they ended up refunding the 140 but then said they only charged the card 331 but I never got the 60 bucks so the 140 and the 60 bucks was really the 200 deposit that they sent back because they said it was for the refund but I would of liked it to be the 200 refund then the amount of the rental. That way there is no confusion then when I called to see where my deposit was the agent was very rude.

    The counter was closed as it was late so I had to go to Ace. Stood in line for over 40 minutes. They only had minivans and the huge SUV they gave me. I ordered a mid sized car. The side view mirror was not attached properly. I did not know this until I pulled out of the garage and went about half a mile. The mirror then came off and was dangling. I immediately called EZ's toll free number and reported it. I was told that the rep would make a note of it, which I found out did not happen when I was contacted to pay for the damages. This was my first time using your company but it will not happen again. I've already canceled another reservation with you.

    I arrived at 11:45pm, right before they were closing. I was happy they had no cars, & I was upgraded to a SUV. Perfect for only $30 for 2 days! The car pulled up & was completely drenched from a car wash, and it wasn't dried. The next day it looked like it was in a mud bath! On day 2 I returned the car & was told there was a rock chip in the windshield. Absolutely not from me, & we never did a walk through beforehand. My $200 deposit was pending for 3 weeks & I finally called to see the problem. She apologized for the delay & released the funds w/ no explanation. For the price, I absolutely recommend this place, but bc I was initially blamed for the rock chip it gave me stress for weeks worried I'd get charged for something I didn't do. Also, receiving the car drenched was inappropriate, so I have mixed feelings.

    Have rented with E-Z several times at Boston Logan Airport. The Counter Agent (Barbara), remembered me and my wife on the second time we rented. She always greets us with enthusiasm and is very professional. The central car rental facility at Logan is pretty easy to navigate. The bus system to and from the airline terminals is pretty efficient.

    I did have a somewhat bad experience arise last month (April 2018) with the vehicle we rented. I immediately brought the matter to the attention of the Manager (Curtis) by email. His email response to me was quick. Curtis’s apologies and action in the matter far exceeded my expectations. He turned a minor negative experience into a good and satisfactory experience. The E-Z team in Boston is professional and customer service focused. Because of them, I’ll absolutely use E-Z Rent-A-Car in the future.

    E-Z Rental was great. I was still able to book a car a day before my flight. Upon arrival, I took the shuttle to the rental center. Staff was friendly, did not push products onto me and provided me with various options, which I respectfully declined. The car was clean, gas was full, I annotated minor scratches, and it was "easy in, easy out." I rolled back in 4 days later, dropped the car off, checked the mileage, and the fuel and I was done. I would definitely book through them again.

    It took nearly two hours to get through the pick up process, even with a confirmed reservation. Staff was very nice but there were way too many customers than could be served in a timely fashion. By the time I got down to the garage, the car I had reserved was no longer available. I was given a very large Minivan (for one person) and was stuck in Friday rush hour traffic, even though I had scheduled my flight to be able to avoid this. No fun.

    Rented a vehicle from the Denver Airport location, the gentleman (Aric) stated he could give us an upgraded vehicle and I asked numerous times would there be a charge for the upgrade. Every time he stated "No, there would not be a charge". I accepted the upgraded vehicle and also the re-fueling option and EZ toll option for the convenience with the rental. When I returned the rental there was a $183.96 charge for the upgrade which I did not agree to. When I called the 800 number they stated I signed the rental agreement agreeing to the upgrade charge. When I tried to call the local 303 number, no one ever answers. Worst rental car company EVER!!!

    If I could give a negative number review I would. My husband and children flew into LAX and took the shuttle to the E-Z Rent-A-Car Inglewood CA facility. When we got there the line was LONG and winding. We arrived at the facility at around 11:45 am. It appeared that they had 6 workers available to check you in and facilitate the rental, so we weren't too concerned. However, within minutes of waiting in line all of a sudden there were only 2 workers. Where did the other 4 workers go? Who knows.

    By now the line was nearly out the door and instead of having workers get us checked in there were numerous employees wandering around, sitting in a front office doing what looked like nothing, and one of the two workers left to check patrons in was giving a customer a tour of the vehicles in the parking lot like a used car salesman. We were in line about 1 hour and 45 minutes. We saw workers leave and come back from what we are guessing was their lunch break. It was ridiculous. By the time we left we were already wishing we'd gone with Enterprise.

    Upon returning the car we also had issues. Granted this is not the fault of EZ as our rental car was hit by a bus as it sat parked in the hotel parking lot during our hotel stay. The hotel provided us with detailed information on the bus driver, including her insurance and all other information. When we returned the car we told them what happened and produced the insurance information and witness statements provided by the hotel. Somehow we knew this was going to be a fiasco based on our previous experience with EZ days before.

    Sure enough we have been contacted by a collection agency that works for EZ to collect money we owe for the accident. They claim they have no paperwork indicating that the car was hit by a bus driver and that they have no third party insurance information. Thank goodness we insisted they make and give copies of the paperwork to us before we left. Horrible customer service on all accounts. We will never use or recommend E-Z Rent-A-Car.

    Rented a car from E-Z Rent-A-Car for the first time from Southwest Airlines from 4/27/2018-4/30/2018 for Denver trip. When I got to the counter at Denver airport, I was asked to sign in couple boxes and the content in the agreement was not even clear. It was very busy as people at the counter were too slow and was 10 at night. She told me to sign in a couple boxes on the pin pad and told me it was just agreeing to the refundable deposit of $200. I did agree to have the collision damage waiver and asked her the total which she said was $73.02 in total.

    She said I would get my receipt in email which I never did. Until I was saw the charges of 173.02 in my credit card I called the customer services and she said the Collision Charges were $79.47 in addition to the $73.02 for renting the car. I got my receipt via email as we were talking on the phone. It's not about the money but I feel cheated as things were not clearly stated and Customer Service didn't even care to help me. As the saying goes First Impression is the Last Impression. Disappointed and won't rent it from here again.

    Rented a car from Denver 4/19-4/21. Told Micheal I had my own full coverage insure that I did not need yours and he had me initial boxes while he was explaining to me that one was for opting out of the CDW. Another was for declining. I didn’t want their liability insurance and another was for me to not have to fill the gas tank!!! They lied to me. All of them was for everything he said it wasn’t to be for!!! This business lies and will rob you without knowing. I suggest you rent from somewhere else because they have scammed a lot of people for money the same way as me!     I had the worst rental car experience with E-Z Rent-A-Car. I had an early flight and dropped the car off at 6:30 am. There wasn't an attendant or instructions on how to check in the car. There was a key drop box next to the EZ booth, so I dropped the keys there. When I got my final invoice I was charge an extra day. When I called Customer Service they directed said I had to email my dispute. I emailed my flight information and explained the situation that I was charged an extra day in error. I have yet to hear back from this company about my refund.

    Also, when I picked up my car the wrong car was in the stall I had on my reservation printout, the keys I was given didn't work for that car. I had to use the lock/unlock fob on the key to find where my car was in the lot because the attendant was nowhere to be found. The E-Z signage was horrible in ABQ, there wasn't an E-Z sign showing which area to return the car to. That's super frustrating when you're trying to drop off the car. Again, no attendant at the front desk to help me. I will never use this company again and will tell everyone I know to avoid them.

    I prepaid for my rental which included 9.99 a day for tolls which I didn't know until I got a receipt when I returned the car. It said I owed no more money. The next day, they charged my card $109.22. They said it was for tolls and gas. The woman I spoke to in Denver explained that's what Boston does. BS!     Do not take the car with full gas! When I picked up that car, I said that I want it full gas. When I use the car it decrease at rate of 1/8 in first 15 minutes. It was almost 10 miles because I am inside the city center. Then I noticed that second 1/8 did not decrease like in the first 1/8 rate of tank. I am not sure it was full. If not it is very unfair.     We booked a car from E-Z Rental through Southwest airlines when we booked our plane tickets. We had to change our flight reservation resulting in us having to keep the car an extra day. When I tried to pull up the reservation through Southwest I could not pull it up so I contacted E-Z Rent-A-Car to see about extending my rental for one day which would take it into a 5-day rental. They told me that since it was for 5 days instead of 4 days we would be charged for a week regardless of only needing it for 5 days. I was told that weekly rental is 5 - 7 days. I explained I only need the car for 5 days not 7 to which I was told it is the same price, why am I paying for 2 days I won't be using?

    The price of the car went from approx. $92.72 to almost $180 so for one day I was going to be paying almost $100. They then explained that we could call the day we were supposed to return the car and let them know we can't drop off and need to keep one more day which cost us an additional $38.91 not $100. When I asked if they could match the price we got when we reserved the car they told me no that, that was through Southwest and I would have to go through them which I had already tried calling them and they could not pull up my reservation.

    This company is a ripoff. On top of that our GPS took us on the Express lanes in Miami FL (I'm from NC) which is a toll road with no toll booths which wound up costing us $61.94 for 2 tolls ($25 admin fee per toll) and $10.94 for the tolls. Maybe instead of just asking do you want to get a SunPass they should explain the charges that will be incurred if you accidentally get on a toll road with no toll booths. I have now gotten 4 charges to my account, two of which I knew about and 2 of which I did not know. We landed at around 12:00 a.m., went to get our car and waited in line for over about an hour with only 2 - 3 people in line in front of us. I will never rent from them again and I will never recommend anyone rent from them. They rip you off and don't take care of you. Very dissatisfied.

    I echo the comments that many others have left. I rented a car this past week from the Denver, Colorado location and was simply flabbergasted at the poor customer service, the outright misrepresentations and the fraudulent activity of this company. I am surprised this company is still in business and wish I had checked the reviews before renting from them. I booked a reservation through Priceline. I stood in line at E-Z for over an hour waiting for my vehicle. When I finally got the counter I was asked if I wanted to add any additional services, to which I clearly stated "no." I was asked to initial some boxes and told that the initials were just confirming my rental. I again asked if I was being charged any extra fees and the agent assured me I was not. I relied on that representation (which I twice received) and went on to my vehicle.

    I later looked at the receipt and saw that I had been charged a fee for a "roadside assistance program" for each day of my rental. This, with taxes and fees, was an additional $80. I called to dispute this and was told that since I had initialed the box I had already agreed to it and they would not adjust it (again, when I spoke with the agent originally he confirmed twice that I was not being charged any additional fees). I also needed the car for an additional day and asked that I not be charged the roadside assistance fee. The agent told me that he couldn't take off the fee because he had already processed the transaction (even though I had just booked the extra day less than 5 minutes earlier).

    The customer agent then proceeded to YELL at me (completely inappropriate). I asked to speak with a manager and was told that no manager was available but that I would receive a return phone call. I of course never received a phone call. When I returned the vehicle I again asked to speak with a manager and she gave me the EXACT same response that I had gotten from the customer service agent earlier, suggesting that they are trained to give these "cookie cutter" responses. She, like the other customer service agent, was rude and condescending. Clearly, their game is to tell at the desk that you aren't being charged any additional fees, rely on the fact that you won't thoroughly read through the document and then have you initial next to boxes agreeing to additional fees.

    That way they can later come back and say, "you initialed the box so you agreed to it." This is fraud. To make matters worse, when I got home I discovered that my credit card had been charged a fee of $116. The "roadside assistance" fees were $80, so they AGAIN added another unauthorized fee on top of that. I am aghast at the way I was treated by the employees at this company and their company model is based on fraud, misrepresentation and dishonesty. I will be pursuing legal claims against this company because they should not be able to conduct business in this fashion. I also strongly believe that someone should look into their labor practices to ensure that their non-management employees are paid a fair (at least minimum) wage. When I returned the car I observed that this may not be the case.

So far I have experienced a lack of response from the management office, poor customer service (employee texting on cell phone causing customer to wait, and no support from 1800# when experiencing issues with vehicle), misfiling of insurance claim despite a known issue being the fault of the facility, and false gas charges despite customer decline of FPO and having brought the car back completely full with gas. I have filed claims with the company for multiple issues and have not received any response on these matters. The quality of service and support is severely lacking with this company. I would like someone from leadership at E-Z Rent-A-Car to contact me about this matter. In the meantime you will be pursuing the issue with my insurance and credit card company.

    We made a reservation with E-Z Rental back in August for a vacation this last March. Picked the vehicle we wanted, everything should have been good to go. Upon arriving to the desk at MCO, we immediately felt bullied into renting another vehicle (a van) and was told that the vehicle we had rented wasn't going to work for us even when I insisted it would and continuously tried to get us to rent the van and pay a ton more. After going back and forth for many minutes, we agreed to take the van at a "discounted" rate. I told him that I still wanted to see the inside of the Toyota Sequoia and he said they would be able to take care of that for me, except when I went up to get the rental, that vehicle wasn't even available (how convenient...) I felt taken advantage of.

    Additionally, I have now received a bill almost 2 weeks later to pay for tolls throughout our time in Florida. I called E-Z and they told me there was nothing they could do and passed me off to some "tolling company". I talked to them and they said I was sent a charge because we used the "sun pass" that was in the car. We declined this option at the desk when we processed the paperwork for this rental and paid every toll. E-Z rental is an absolute joke, they take advantage of people, nickel and dime people and have a low moral compass as a company. I will never rent a car here again, will tell everyone I know and will blast this company over and over again through social media until they are out of business. But I guess they'll just say "good luck".

    I booked a car with E-Z rental car, when I went to pick the car up they told me the car I reserved was not available. Although the car they had available for me was an upgrade. There was nothing said about a price increase, that basically doubled the cost. I was led to believe they offered the car as a courtesy for not having my car ready. The car had numerous dents, it would hesitate when taking off and then accelerate wildly. I will not rent from E-Z rental car again. Buyer beware.

    Rented a car on their website and paid in advance. When I got to the counter at Orlando airport, Ahmad ** tried to upsell me on everything. It was very busy as spring break was just kicking off, noisy at the counter, and his English was difficult to understand. He told me to sign in a couple boxes on the pin pad and told me it was just agreeing to the refundable deposit of $200. I didn’t agree to any additional charges and sure didn’t need the collision damage waiver. He sent me with my receipt which didn’t have the box checked for insurance but when I got my receipt via email it showed one of my initials agreeing to the CDW insurance (@ $25 per day)!!!

    Super shady company!!! Lesson learned not to trust and not to sign on a pin pad without knowing what the initials actually go to. I verbally told him I didn’t want extra insurance. I was lied to and when I talked to customer service they just kept telling me I agreed to it because they have the signed contract. I sent a picture of my receipt to them and waiting to hear back. The counter people must earn a hefty commission for upselling the insurance and “preselling” a tank of gas. Ahmad tried to tell me that I should prepay for a tank of gas because all of the gas stations around the airport are over $5 a gallon and if they have to fill up the tank they charge $9 a gallon. Bottom line... terrible company to do business with. Wish I would have read the reviews.

    I booked through Expedia and told there would be no extra charges. When I showed up to pick up the car, I was charged $25 per day extra. There was nothing I could do at this point because I had already been charged through Expedia and did not want to pay again at another rental car place. I figured I would call and complain when I got home. They did not care. I did not have cash for 2 $1.00 tolls while in Florida. There was no attendant available when I dropped off the car to talk to them about this. A month after I returned home, I was charged $26.00 for the $2.00 worth of tolls. I called and again, I was given the runaround only to be told they are not refunding the charges. I will never use them again. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

    This was not a good company. We were picked up in a small 6 person van that took a while to arrive. The luggage was thrown in the back of the seats. The driver drove crazy. When arrived at the pickup, there were two people working and two guys in the back just sitting around. The line was almost out the door and this was at 11pm at night, I'd hate to see this in the afternoon. It literally took over an hour to reach the counter, we were checked in and given a piece of paper and told our car was two rows back and to please record any damage and give the sheet to the guy at the gate. It was pitch black and no lighting at all. Forget about being able to review the car, just trying to figure out the car in general in pitch black was a joke. The guard at the gate literally used one of the cars to block the entrance instead of gate arm, he got in the car and backed it up so we could get out and then pulled it back when we drove through.

    The car was dirty and the maintenance light was on. When we returned the car, a guy took the keys and said, "You're done. You'll get an email receipt." He rushed us out of there quickly. I was so rushed I forgot my expensive ski jacket in the back seat. I called and reported it while on the shuttle to the airport. I was given a ticket number and told someone would call me back. Of course no one did so I tried for two days to get ahold of someone, finally day three I got someone who told me that the ticket was closed because nothing was located. He said he would open it again but if I didn't receive a call in 24 hours then it was never found. I replied, "Of course not, I guess my jacket is gone." And he said, "I guess so." This place is so shady and not worth trying to save an extra couple bucks.

I received a bill from a company called Viking Billing Service on 5/7/2018 stating I owe 101.40 for unpaid tolls. The tolls totaled 26.40 but they added 75.00 in fees to this. This is total BS, first I was never notified of owing anything at all on this car and they actually should have given me money back after the horrible service I received. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Insurance I declined, 600 miles (even) driven when we drove 60. Also they have put an address I haven't used for 8 years. Obvious forgery. Charged me $350.00 when it was supposed to be $118.00. I will be suing this place.

    E-Z Rent-A-Car Orlando Florida, is by far the worst rental company I have ever used. My husband and I inquired about the weekly rate which was $70, we then said to the gentleman by the name of Muhammed, that we would like to go ahead and rent the vehicle for 2 weeks. He then proceeds to ask the normal questions like, “Would you be going through tolls,” which we said yes. And then asked do we require insurance we then said that we were covered, so no. He then types on the computer asking for a credit card which my husband hands to him thinking he was going to take off a couple of dollars. He tries swiping the card for $847.00 without informing us of his intentions, so the card declines, being a ** our card had a limit to avoid fraudulent transactions.

    He then asks me for my credit card, so I proceed to give it to him thinking that my husband’s card was faulty. He then swipes my card for $500 telling me that I would receive $200 back when I return the vehicle as this was a deposit. At that point I said to the gentleman, “Please cancel the transaction.” His words were I would only receive a refund in 2-3 working days. Keep in mind he had just taken off $500 and we tired from our flight from South Africa, so I said to my husband, “Let’s just take the vehicle for now and let them know if we do decide to keep it for the additional days.” Only to find that they charged my husband the additional $347.

    We had no choice but to keep the vehicle for the 2 weeks. Upon the return of the vehicle we were assured we would receive our $200 refund. We are still waiting, but that’s not all. I checked my bank statement, they took off another $120, we returned back to SA on the 02 February, these transactions were taken off the 28th Feb so in total, they have charged us for the vehicle $960 for a standard vehicle for 2 weeks.

    We rented a car from the Denver location 2/15/18-2/19/18. We originally booked an economy car through Orbitz but upon arrival the staff member serving us offered an upgrade to a small SUV. Upon seeing my husband's military ID the staff member stated, "Let's get you an upgraded vehicle as a thank you for your military service." We were charged an upgrade fee that was never mentioned and never on the electronic documents we were asked to sign. My husband never feels entitled to or requests perks and discounts related to his active duty but we do accept these things when offered.

    It is disheartening that we were charged for an upgrade that we never asked for and were offered because he is a soldier. I have called the customer service number to discuss this three separate times. The first time I was informed that a manager from the Denver location would contact me by the end of the day. Two days later I had not been contacted and called back. On the second call I was informed that the notes in the system stated that I had spoken to a manager. Since I had not I was informed that a manager would contact me within 24 hours.

    After 48 hours I had not been contacted so I called again. On the third call I was informed that they could not share information with me because the car was rented in my husband's name and not mine. My husband is now gone for his job and unable to call. I have power of attorney paperwork that I offered to provide and as told this would make no difference, although, it does.

    I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold. When the customer service rep returned to the phone I was told a supervisor would have to call me back by the end of the day. I told the representative that I did not trust I would be called back and would hold. After a brief hold the customer service rep informed me that he could not keep me on hold and assured I would be contacted by the end of the day which has not happened. I am very unhappy with the level of customer service on all levels and do not believe this company, especially the Denver location, is at all concerned with the integrity of their business. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated.

    I rented car at LAX airport on January 18th and returned January 22nd. I made a reservation through the internet. The price was 25 dollar a day. And I choose economy car option which is similar to Corolla. When I got a car at the station, I got Toyota LAV model without any explanation. I expected some tax for sure. But I finally got a bill which is 289 dollars. I do not understand why do I have to pay this amount money. I will not ever use this company again.

    I rented a car at Miami Airport 2 days from Feb. 19, 2018. I was required $200 of deposit but the person there told me “this is just deposit and I will not be charged when you return the car”. I returned the car with no accident, with full gas, a hour before due time. When I return the car, the person there checked out everything and I was told “you are all set”. In fact, they charged me only the fee of the rent at that time. However, a week after, Feb, 26th, they charged my card $200 without any explanation. If you charged the deposit on 19th and returned it a week after, that readily understandable. But, why you charge deposit a week after.

    Actually, I felt like not being able to trust the person from a beginning. For example, he recommended me more expensive car than I reserved. It took long time until I can say NO. Also, I paid for load-safe, but I said as I am a AAA member, I do not think I need it. But he said there are not such thing like AAA service in Florida. Is that true? Also, he said I should better to pay toll load beforehand ($10 a day). Otherwise, the city will fine me $250 a day. I do not think it true. But these are OK, I signed it because I wanted to save time to argue with him. But I believe that he should return the deposit. I need you to investigate this.

    I would give a zero if I can. I rented a car at Boston airport for the weekend from 9th Feb. I returned it on time 11th, Feb, however, I received a receipt with three extra days charged. I immediately called them after that. The customer services said it would be resolved. After a week, I found out it was not fully refunded. I called again, the same thing, they said it would be resolved. As the third time I was calling, it is still not yet resolved. This time they told me that this process need to be done by e-mail. I feel like they are testing how seriously you want to resolved the issue or counting on people to forget after customer services said "it will be resolved". BE AWARE WHEN YOU RENT.

    I was taking a family trip to Colorado and picking up my car in Denver and made my purchase online. I was expecting a Camry full size sedan to something similar to that because of the trunk space and efficiency in gas. After 20-30 of waiting to speak with a representative, I was told that they didn't have a Camry, but a different Chevrolet model that wasn't comparable to a Camry.

    The rep then tried to upsell a 4x4 claiming that I "needed it for this weather" and which would have been over $300. After explaining my displeasure, he finally gave me reduced rate, but only if I purchased insurance which was more than the actual rental. He claimed that the insurance was necessary because a blizzard was coming and I needed a 4x4 SUV and also claimed that Colorado was a no fault state and that my car insurance wouldn't cover it. Both claims were fabrications.

    At this time, we are 45-60 minutes into this process and my family is outside waiting. My cost went from $146 to over double that amount plus a $200 security deposit and I had no choice because we needed a vehicle. I firmly that these tactics are unethical based on lies. When I called EZ Car customer service, they said that management would call me back to discuss the issue. I received no call back. When I called back a few days after my first call, I was told that there was nothing that could be done without any offer of resolution. I am requesting that EZ Car refund these insurance costs to resolve this issue. I will not be using them again and if no resolution is offered, I will also be going to the BBB. This cannot be tolerated.

    We rented a car online at Advantage Rent a Car. Got off our plane at DFW and went to pick up the car. Was told cars were not available, and the wait would be 20 minutes which turned out to be 30. In a hurry to get a car - late to a meeting - my husband went to the next company – E-Z Rent-A-Car. We got keys and jumped in the car and drove. When we returned the car 1 and 1/2 days later and the attendant claimed that we were at fault for a small dent on the door. We absolutely are not at fault, this was pre-existing and our bad for not insisting on a walk around prior to accepting the vehicle. We now have a bill for almost $1000 for this. Be VERY careful with this really awful outfit. Better yet. Rent your car elsewhere.

    THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION. A better name for this place would be Sleaz-E Rental Car, if I could give 0 stars I would. In planning a ski trip in the Colorado Rockies, I made a reservation for a premium SUV at $109/day. Prior to making the reservation online, I called their phone number to confirm that the vehicle I was renting would have 4WD or four wheel steering which is required by law when driving in snow conditions in the Rockies. I was told by the call center that all their premium SUVs at the Denver location had that. I then made the reservation online. Then when I arrived with my wife and two young kids, I am informed that the reservation I made did not guarantee a 4WD/4WS vehicle and the only thing they could offer me that had that would cost about 3 times as much.

    So there you are, sitting there with your family, it's starting to snow hard and you're supposed to drive up to the ski resort that evening to start your ski vacation the next day. You are sitting in their building without a car, other agencies are outside their gates and down the road quite a ways, what are you going to do, walk around with your family and luggage in a snowstorm to see if another company MIGHT have a better price. Yeah, they have you by the "you know whats" and they know it. So I had to take what they offered; I figured I might be able to dispute it with my credit card company but they told me since I accepted what they offered I could not. Just for kicks, I called again when I got back and asked about the premium 4WD/4WS vehicle, they guaranteed it again. This time I have it recorded, thinking about taking them to small claims court.

    I initially reserved a full size car at Denver Airport. Once I arrived to pick it up, I was told that E-Z won't rent me that type of car since I am headed to Aspen and there was expected to be a bit of snow. They claimed a full size car won't be able to handle the snow well and only allowed me to rent a 4 wheel drive car for 2.5 times the price I reserved!! I was not happy with the rate I received, especially since other car rental companies were offering better deals, but ended up taking their offer anyways since I had my friend waiting for me in downtown Denver and I wanted to leave the airport asap.

    When we started driving in the snow (not even an inch of snow on the ground) the car started losing traction, we were sliding sideways and the brakes weren't functioning well, which put us in serious risk of getting in an accident. Miraculously we didn't. In addition, it was snowing again the day we returned the car, this time 3-4 inches. The car got stuck in the middle of the highway few times and we had to get TOWED TWICE!! We were again extremely lucky we did not get in a bad accident, as we were blocking one of the lanes on the highway from Vail to Denver at a low visibility day. We called E-Z to inform them that the car was stuck in the middle of the highway and that we needed help, they said they would call us right back and never did! The only good experience I've had with E-Z Rent-A-Car was with the staff at the pickup location. They were extremely helpful and friendly the day I picked up the car.

My plane was delayed and baggage claim took a bit so I arrive 3 hours after my reservation time (5 day reservation) and arrived at the counter to be informed they gave my car away because they were overbooked and I was more than two hours after my time. Really? I looked at the fine print in the email and there was nothing on the time. They weren’t even apologetic. They said an email came down saying they were overbooked and to give cars away and cancel reservations. Horrible business practice.     I rented a car in Vegas on Feb. 3rd and gave it back the night of Feb. 4th due to a malfunction of the car. I am now being charged 548.32$ instead of 241.21$ due to giving the car late and due to the malfunction. I called the 800 277 5171 MANY times (opening 2 tickets!) before giving back the car to make sure I was doing things correctly and I was told not to worry. I was also not given the "Agreement" at the time of rental and was forced to sign in hurry at the desk.     If I could give zero stars I would. Rented a car from them in Denver. I specifically asked for a four wheel drive vehicle and was lead to believe that is what I reserved. Over the phone I reserved a Toyota RAV4 with four wheel drive as I was traveling up into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I get to the counter located near the airport to pick up the car I had reserved months ago with them. I was told they didn't have the car in stock that I reserved and that any car they had in that class (mid-size SUV) doesn't have four wheel drive, which over the phone when I reserved it I was not told that. Meanwhile any other Mid-size SUV that was comparable wasn't available. They charged me 250.00 to upgrade to the next class of SUVs. I called right when we left and explained that this was their mistake and that they knew they didn't have the vehicle I reserved before I even got there and knew I would have to upgrade.

    So basically they falsely advertise that they have the Toyota RAV4 with four wheel drive in stock even though they didn't and I was lead to believe that they did have it in stock. They falsely advertise and it isn't right and needs to be addressed. This is the second time this has happened to my family and they should reimburse us for both times.     On the 12th of December, I was at the Orlando Airport pick up desk to collect a car I booked online. The lady who attended to me insisted on me purchasing the Collision Waiver and said I couldn’t get a car without it. I later found out from my friends who had recommended and rented from EZ that I didn’t have to. I felt the lady took advantage of the lateness of the hour and my distress in getting a car to sell me a waiver when I didn’t want it. I complained about via the email sent asking if I was satisfied with the service and I didn’t get a response. I got to the car, the boot space was too small for my husband’s wheelchair. I was told to pay $55 for an upgrade and all the previous terms to which I signed for would still apply.

    When I returned the car on 30th December, I was told I had to pay $68.58 because I had returned the car with an empty tank. But I had already signed and paid for the car being returned empty. I was so confused because I felt had already paid for that. I also needed to get back to my family. But they insisted I didn’t. When I got home and checked my records, I found out that I did. So, I was forced to take a collision waiver which I didn’t want to which I want a refund for, that was for the amount of $280.39. I also want the $68.68 additional fuel costs refunded, and a further $27.50 was taken from my card for which I don’t even know. And I want my $200 deposit paid back because it still hasn’t been paid back although I was promised 5 days from the car being returned. It is now been a month. I have completed a form online and awaiting an acknowledgment so I can upload proof in documents.

    We rented from the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport E-Z rental. When we arrived to pick up our rental car we were offered to receive prepaid gas at 2.19 a gallon. This way we save time when dropping off your rental. This sounded like a good idea. We actually were being a little overcharged because there was still a quarter tank of gas left but it really did save time. When we arrived home and received our email with the charges, we were charged with a fee of 8.99 per gallon for a total charge of 149.65 to fill up a car that already had a quarter tank of gas.

    I have my receipt from when I picked it up and it clearly shows where I signed up for the pre pay gas. I feel that this is a bait and switch and I am concerned that a multitude of customers are not paying attention and being overcharged. I called them and they told me they put a ticket in and it can take up to 48 hours for them to get back to me. Very poor customer service and it is my money. I will never rent from E-Z Rent-A-Car or Advantage ever again. They should be ashamed. What a scam.

    In 2015 I had rented a car from E-Z rental. Time has gone by so much legal work had stricken me. I had gotten arrested because of the contract with my car from E-Z rental. The clerk not paying attention had taken a woman information and put it on my rental car. Yet ran my major credit card under her information. Now I have rented a car where I had to fine line my contract. Once you are there so long you can't wait to hear them say initial and sign. I did that without looking fine line to see what name and address that was on my contract. My name is Kim and the person name they put on the contract says Kimberly. I am Kim **. The renter and that person is Kimberly ** same last name, same date of birth month, different date but same year.

    I want y'all to be cautious because it has now taken two years to get this what should have been a mistake turn into identity situation between two people at their mistakes. Loss of my job, shameful, stress out, the back and forth to courts. It all fell in my favor with the court in Miami Dade County and I want all of y'all to read even your name and info on the contract please. This has really devastated me and my family. This was cleared up January 23rd 2018 by the courts and in my favor.

    I had an awful experience with E-Z Rent-A-Car in Fort Mayers, Florida. I booked through holiday cars and paid in full. When I finally reached their rental place, which is not at the airport, and you have to take a shuttle, the person at the counter was eating at work. Without explaining anything about the prompts on the small screen of the credit card machine, he asked me to say no. Once I got the car it was filthy and there was no walkaround for damages.

    Here comes the kicker, 4-5 weeks after returning back home I saw a charge for $204 on my credit card from this car company. I called them and they told me that it was for tolls. I was expecting to pay the tolls but not this much. I asked for the breakdown of tolls. Shocked to learned that the actual toll charges were 29.57 cents and they had charged $175 in admin fees. $25 per day. And not for the days I went through tolls but for each day the car was rented. What is this but fraud in broad daylight. See attached image for charges.

    I don't agree at all with their contract. I made agreement with E-Z car rental company previously. Price suppose to be the same as the contract paid on December 22. Secondly for the extension we have only one driver. So you cannot charge for second driver. GO AWAY FROM THIS CROOK COMPANY. Please correct contract on the same basis as the first one... then I will pay my bill. See 1st contract and 2nd contract WITH THE SAME CAR. WE DON'T RETURN THE CAR FOR TAKE ANOTHER ONE.

    You are crook. You abuse of people charging 5 times the week rental for the same car which was not returned!!! You even charge for 2 drivers!!! Who are the 2 drivers? Give me names??? You have been charging illegally the credit card in France when you set up the bill to Alain **. If we not set up agreement before 5 days I will sue you to Court in France and in the same time claim for criminal abuse... Yes you have been charging and abusing a French client... You will have to take an attorney in France. Good luck!!!

    Charged me $101 for an additional driver that did not exist. I tried to fight it with customer service, but they were rude and insisted I signed for it. I made a fraud claim with my credit card company in order to get a copy of this supposed agreement, and there is no signature on it approving an additional driver. I went on their website to confirm the policy on adding additional drivers in the state of Texas and it says:

    "ADDITIONAL DRIVERS. Additional authorized operators can be added, for an additional charge, at the time of rental or at any rental location. The primary renter and each Additional Authorized Operator must be present to sign the rental agreement and must meet normal rental qualifications, such as showing a valid driver license, and meeting all age requirements." They are in clear violation of their policy but still refused my refund. I tried escalating the problem... they gave me ticket numbers but never responded. I am going to report them to the BBB because this illegal.

    I just had an absolutely awful experience with an E-Z Rent-A-Car rental location at the SeaTac airport (Seattle) location at around 9:00 PM on 1/11, and am writing this, so I can speak to a higher level executive who can explain me what just happened. We could not get the name of the rep at the counter (she was the only one), since she refused to give it to us, because she knew she was rude, belligerent, and was way out of line.

    We had a reservation for a full-size car for 3 days. Upon getting there, we were asked if we intended to take the car outside of Washington - I had never been asked that before, so I paused and said no we don’t intend to, but what would be the cost to change it if we do decide to visit our relatives in BC (since we were in town for 3 days). She said you can’t do that as I’m a “local” (I had a WA driver’s license, but I recently moved to CA). I said that’s fine, as I don’t really know if we’d had time to go. She said if we can move the reservation to my wife’s name, as she has a CA license and that way if we want to go to BC we could.

    She said she’ll have to cancel and book a new reservation and it’ll cost 3 dollars/day and I said sure. She cancelled our existing reservation and then looks at me and says that the quote she gave me for 3 dollars increase was for a full-size car and she doesn’t have any. She has an SUV, but for that were looking at a 24$ increase/day (total of 66ish dollars).

    I told her that’s not something I signed up for. She said since she already cancelled, there was no way to retrieve the reservation, so the only way to do it is to pay 60$ more (for 3 days) and book this new car. I told her that’s unacceptable, and this is really bad customer experience, since I wasn’t even planning to go to BC and at this point, we'd just like to get on with our initial reservation for me. She said she needs to talk to her manager, and stepped out from the counter in the back. A few moments later, she comes back and says she talked to our manager and they can’t rent a car to us at all- any car! My wife and I were fuming at this point, as we had no idea what’s going on - our reservation was cancelled and we were told we can’t be rented any car at all! We demanded we wanted to speak with a manager, and the employee connected us over the phone.

    The manager, who also didn’t give us his name (had what looked like a Mexican accent) told us that we can’t be rented the car because of company policy, and when I asked what policy, he replied “Company Policy”, and refused to say anything else. He was rude and said he cannot talk to us right now, as he’s “out somewhere” and that his decision was final. Upon hanging up the phone, your rep said we need to leave or she'll call the cops, and she hoped there are better humans in the world than us. This was said to us completely unprovoked! If you have recordings at that location, please look at them. I wish I had recorded this.

    This left us without a rental car at 10:00 PM on Seattle-Tacoma International airport. I want you all to know that we Ubered back to our hotel and will be looking for a different rental company tomorrow, as almost everyone was out of vehicles that late. This is unacceptable on a lot of levels, as we are now stranded, without any vehicle for the weekend, a weekend that was supposed to be fun and relaxing. I would like to speak with whoever runs the show in the pacific northwest for your company, as this was a disgusting experience that needs root cause and compensation for all the time that wasted and emotional stress that it caused.

    It was my first time renting with EZ Car Rental. It was a good deal and I paid in full for my rental before getting there; assuming I'd be guaranteed a car when I arrive. My cousin and I got there at midnight on December 20th, 2017, only to be disappointed by the very long line that we had to wait in. There was only one person working and he decided it was ok to hold up the line for one difficult woman who didn't make a reservation and refused to give him a credit card for her rental. Although I did feel bad for the man because the lady seemed a bit crazy, he allowed her to make some phone calls so someone can transfer money into her card, holding up the line. Everyone was tired and frustrated. She eventually came back and everything went through and he was able to take two more groups until he decided to tell everyone else that was waiting in line that they ran out of cars and he told everyone to come back at 7 am.

    It was 2 am now, we waited for 2 hours of complete BS. I then went up to the counter and kindly told the worker I paid in full and he rudely told me, "Like I said, we ran out of cars, you can come back at 7 am." So then I told him that our original plan was to leave Vegas at 6 am to Cali and he, again, rudely told me to go find another rental place and walked away. EZ Car Rental needs to work on their customer service and keep track of their inventory.

    Called E-Z Rent-A-Car and asked if they rented to underage drivers (18-21). Was assured they did and continued with the rental agreement. The rental agreement says Extras-Underage driver 18-21 and shows the extra fees associated with it. My son arrived at the Orlando E-Z Rent-A-Car counter at the airport and was told they do not rent to underage drivers. He gave the reservation number and the agent refused to help him. I called E-Z Rent-A-Car and told them the situation. I told the agent that my son was stranded at the airport and that I had a rental agreement. I was told that he would make notes in the computer and that their agents in Orlando would work with us. Again my son attempted to rent the car and was told no. What is the purpose of a contract if it means nothing? How can you leave a 19 year old stranded at the airport? I thought contracts were there to protect consumers.

    I went to see my son graduate basic military training and even though I had full insurance on my vehicle, they told me that because my insurance ID cards were printed from my computer (aren't the usually nowadays?) that the guards at the base would not let me in unless I had EZ Rent A Car's insurance which was an extra $140. So because I did not want to take a chance of missing my son's graduation, I felt I had to get their insurance or miss his graduation. I am currently trying to get EZ Rent A Car blacklisted by people going to see their loved ones graduating in San Antonio TX. When I told the desk people at the office about my experience upon check in, they even said how they have a few people working there who take advantage of situations. Wish I could give them a negative star!
