I found a site confusing initially. I need to get help from time to time from online help and even then it seemed that I wasn't going to get what I was looking for. I nearly gave up until I understood that is a certain way that you must enter information. For instance I needed a certain hotel brand and date and the results kept coming back that I couldn't have the room and the date simply because they didn't have a size bed I wanted which could have been easily solved by message that read there are no more beds that size available at that hotel please choose another bed size, instead the message told me there were no hotels matching my request.

I booked a week vacation in the Dominican Republic. I want an upgraded room - the confirmation I received was very confusing. I called an agent to confirm the correct room was booked and she said it was. When I checked into the hotel it was not the correct room. It cost me $1200 to get the correct room. I have called Bookit.com 4 times and have been on the phone/hold for over 90 mins. This company can not be trusted and they do not care about fixing their mistakes or customer service.

I am still waiting to receive my money back from this booking! I booked airfare and hotel and by the time I was done booking it - I received an error message stating my airfare went through but my hotel did not go through. Then I received an email stating the same thing! I called the BookIt number in the email and called immediately to see what happened. Sure enough - just as the error message said - I had airfare but no hotel.
The lady was willing to help me book my hotel - she said, "You were charged the airfare but not the hotel." While I was on the phone with her, I checked my account - CHARGED AIRFARE & HOTEL!!!! "I'm ONLY seeing you were charged air"..."it will take 24-48 hours for the hotel charge to drop off". Well, IT HASN'T DROPPED OF AND I'M STILL WAITING TO RECEIVE IT AND IT IS NOW 3 DAYS LATER!! Give me my money back. I didn't screw this up - your site did and I am short over $830 right now - my vacation money!!!!

I am very dissatisfied! I WAS CHARGED TWICE FOR THE SAME TRIP AND THEY OVERCHARGED MY ACCOUNT, CAUSING MUCH INCONVENIENCE FOR ME. Now I have to wait to get my money due to their mistake. Would very much like a discount now on the trip that I'm going to take.

A friend and I were looking to book our first trip to Jamacia and found a great price at a hotel I have seen on other sites. So I booked it, come to find out it was not an adult only hotel, on the other sites it was. I am from Ut, how am I suppose to know there are 3 hotels on the island with exactly the same name? You should be more clear, especially since it's customers like me who purchase these vacations.
I called less than 20 minutes later when I finally noticed it, I was told my trip is nonrefundable, so they will have to cancel and I'd have to book it again. Their customer service is horrible, they didn't try and help me at all, just told me repeatedly I'd have to cancel a nonrefundable trip and buy again. I will not be using Bookit.com ever again. Now I will be having a vacation at a hotel not of my choosing. I am just hoping it doesn't ruin my experience in Jamacia. I was already thinking of my next trip back. Now I am not sure if I am going back or not. Thanks for nothing Bookit.com.

Thank you for finally resolving our problem with a flight credit. Shanon ** was very efficient and booked us in a matter of minutes - gave us our well deserved flight credit. Was on phone all day with first BookIt.com and whoever I was talking to was not efficient at all. Then Air Transat who said they don't give flight credits on pkgs - when I was told we did. Anyways got solved quickly and nicely. Hope our trip goes as smooth. Thank you.

This site was easy to use. I just wish we didn’t have to change flights three times to get to our long needed vacation. We end up spending the first day of our vacation traveling. If there is any way to have that fixed we would really appreciate it.

To start off my SO and I were very skeptical because the deal we found was amazing. He encouraged me to call customer service first for both the hotel and the site we were looking into. I was only on hold for 2 minutes and was greeted by a very agent who answered all of my questions thoroughly. Due to this call I felt more confident booking a trip through this site. Thus far I can say I am extremely pleased with my booking process. My trip is not until July so we will see how the end result turns out.

The ease of use with combining the best deals was great with bookIt and I loved the pay delay option. Only issue I had was right after I booked I got a follow up email that said you could use double coupon codes and take an extra $200 off. So I called customer care to edit my order to take the additional $200 off and they would not complete for me, said I could only use one coupon and apologized that I “misinterpreted the email.” Well that was not very professional. I am pretty sure I can read where it says “USE DOUBLE COUPON CODES" but nonetheless the package was still a great deal and was very simple to book but will follow up with customer care supervisor about my coupon issue.

I was on hold for a long period of time, which I expected because of the "pre-hold" message. Once an agent picked up, she was phenomenal... very helpful & polite; if she didn't know an answer, she would ask her manager... & they would answer... I appreciated the honesty...

Room selection is wrong on my itinerary, not what I chose. Try to change it, wants to charge me $232 more. On hold for 30m trying to speak to someone. No place to make additional comments and online people can not help.

The booking process was easy and simple but it’s not like you’re getting some amazing deal anyway. They should make it somehow available that you can reserve a room with a specific view. For all the money you’re paying, it would be great to know EXACTLY what you’re getting. I mean $2,000+ might not be a lot to some people but it’s a lot to most people. Descriptions should be a little more descriptive. Anyway, not a terrible experience as these websites are all the same but either way it was very user friendly.

I am very disappointed with the service, the agreement was that my card would be charge every month for five months and these people went ahead and charge my card for the entire amount. I won't be using the service again.

Way too long hold times to speak to a customer service rep. Makes me want to not use this company. I was on hold for 15 min. And never got to speak to someone.. Fix this issue or you will lose customers.

The customer service rep was very thorough and helpful. I highly recommend this company. He went as far as saving me time by helping me find a flight back home to Oklahoma with a much less layover time. I haven’t had the greatest experiences with the Houston airport, so he found me a flight to Dallas which I believe is a better option and with a shorter layover.

After booking a trip to Mexico I noticed that I had booked the wrong flight time. So I (less than 2 mins) immediately called to let them know time on the fight was wrong. They charged me again to re-book flight to right time even though the price for the flight I wanted was original price I paid. They suck, leaves no room for error.

I’m very happy with my booking experience. Very straightforward, clear and concise information. It took only couple of minutes to book. The deal I found was not available on any other booking site. I would recommend one improvement and that is adding a possibility to convert the price to other currencies i.e. Canadian dollars, pounds, Euros, etc.

Horrible. They messed up my reservation by misleading me and now it cost me 270.00 to fix it. I will never use BookIt again. I’m booking another trip in August and I will use a different company. They didn’t even try to accommodate me.

When I made my reservation I also purchased the airport transfer but when I looked at my confirmation it was not on the final cost. Contacting your customer service was a fine experience BUT I shouldn't of had to if the original booking was correct to begin with.

Flight was booked and was charged three times, and no refund. I bought a one way ticket to Mexico for $95 dollars through the mobile app and was charged for three tickets. Bookit refused to refund me for the extra two tickets. Horrible service and blamed me for their issue. Save yourself the headache and book through Orbitz.

Was hit with a cancelation fee. Although BookIt auto (drop down) tabs does not work properly and changed the second passenger information back to mine due to a glitch in the drop down auto fill. I book several vacations a year on BookIt as well as other websites and I know hot to fill out the information but due to the auto fill it changed all my information and I was charged fees $70 in total due to this.

He spoke too fast and had asked several questions because this was the first time I ever used this site and probably the last. When we went to hang up another question popped in my head and I said, "Excuse me. One last question." and he made a sighing noise as if I was annoying him. That was very unprofessional. Not to mention I had originally spoke with an agent with some questions on Monday didn't have luck processing online. I called that agent back cause he had sent me an email on Tues, left messages, never called me back and I sent an email back. No response. I called yesterday and just went through new agent in return. It cost me more. I believe I should get some kinda compensation. I would like a call back or an email from management. Booking the trip was easy and convenient. The only problem is that I had a question and I called and emailed the agent and she never returned my call. I never got my question answered and the result was that I missed out on the lowest price and over paid $100 more on my trip waiting on a response.

BookIt had to change due American airlines canceling a flight. They did a five star job in getting me the same flight two days earlier (had to extend my vacation... that was tough). Very impressed with their entire body of work. I use them all the time and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend them... and don't do that often.

The hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing. The room was clean, and up to date. Ronny who was the excursions representative was sweet, and worked hard in getting packages that catered to you, and what you were looking for. Security was up to par, and so was the food. The cuisine was so good. I gained 5 lbs but it was all worth it. The hotel was serene but was geared to mostly the older crowd, however taxis were readily available and close to most of the attractions. The casino/club Kaviar were close by, the hotel is also close to the mall and another club Miami. The concierge were super helpful and went above and beyond that guests got whatever they needed.

Jill worked diligently to get my reservation modified as requested. She was a pleasure as I had called in 3 times prior and the reps were rude or said the modification couldn’t be done. Her ext is **... she was wonderful in communicating. The day before I had a rude rep that told me to keep what I had in room type... she was horrible.

We have been trying to book a trip somewhere to use airline miles and have been running into a lot of problems. We finally found a trip and put it on hold to begin our resort search. Buyer Beware. IF you have the option to select seats on your selected flight during the time of booking they are still not guaranteed seats and YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE AIRLINE TO CONFIRM. I just booked a round trip flight and neither one of the trips to or from my destination had the correct seating or even assigned seats at all!! I added my trip to my airline app and found that the seats I reserved were not even available and I would be assigned seats when I get to the airport!!! We all know how that can go!! I hope the same don't happen with my hotel reservation. ANNOYED CUSTOMER! I will definitely be calling the hotel to confirm as well!

So, less than 12 hours before I should've checked in to the villa I got an email saying the villa was fully booked. I called the villa and they told me there was no reservation for me. I had to jump on to Expedia.com immediately to find a booking, and I didn't even get an apology from Bookit.com. Then I had to contact Bookit.com to organize a refund of my payment, this has been 7 days ago and I am still waiting. I will never use this site again.

I am writing to grant PARADISUS/BOOKIT.COM a last opportunity to refund ALL CHARGES in regards to this account. My bank has informed me to take this to next level of reporting to the Attorney General. I would like to give you an opportunity to settle this prior to me taking further action. As my itinerary stated "ALL INCLUSIVE" upon booking, incorporating 9 restaurants, access to several beaches, access to no-motorized sports...I WAS NOT GRANTED THESE SAME RIGHTS ONCE I ARRIVED. I was told I had to "UPGRADE", pay more, to have access...
THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING, ALSO KNOWN AS A SCAM! I was allowed to go to 2 buffets during my stay, the SAME BUFFET FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER!! The Staff was less than pleasant, front desk young girl rolling her eyes at me, treating me like I was an annoyance, as I am sure I was. I went to your Customer Service desk, was told Manager was out on meetings for ENTIRE DAY, and that there was no one else to attend to my issues. Not sure where the "customer service" role was involved here, as clearly your property DOES NOT care about customer service.
When I returned next morning to speak to said "Manager", I was again informed he was in meetings and no one had any clue as to when he would return. Same young girl at front desk, with HORRIBLE attitude told me I could use phone around corner to make RSVP for restaurants. Again, not sure if your staff gets around to traveling to other resorts, but THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ...A paid customer should NOT have to be harassed in any way, I should be able to make calls from comfort of my room to make RSVP at restaurants, correct? ONLY problem is NO ONE ANSWERS ANY OF THE RESTAURANT LINES!!! I tried repeatedly for the first 48hrs upon my arrival!!! Again, UNSATISFACTORY! When I finally did get through to restaurant, this ONLY happened due to front desk girl using her role to get through... We quickly were told there were no RSVP'S available during my entire stay! Again, UNSATISFACTORY!
And the beach... When I booked, I was told there were several beaches... ONLY WHEN I ARRIVED, THERE WAS 1!!! UNLESS I PAID MORE-ANOTHER SCAM!..FALSE ADVERTISING!! Once I arrived at the beach- WOW! What a scene!! The beds were laid out in area that was so unlevel!! And my Exit, I was grabbed by my arm and told by front entrance guard that I couldn't leave! In the U.S., this gets you arrested!! As he spoke remainder of instructions in Spanish ONLY, I had no idea as to what he was saying. He repeatedly stepped in between me and my entrance to my driver's vehicle. AGAIN VERY UNSATISFACTORY!!! I left your property as quickly as I could, unfortunately it was only a day early. This cost me another $199-hotel charges, additional $500 flight changes!!!
SO, as you can see from the FALSE ADVERTISING, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND COMPLETELY UNJUST STAFF TREATMENT, I am requesting last attempt to regain my loss. I am not even including the additional charges accrued from having to leave early. As a strong travel influencer, in U.S. and International, word spreads quickly of poorly managed properties leading to unsatisfied customers. As your reviews clearly indicate feedback that most people look at prior to booking.. I do hope your staff takes care of this problem ASAP!

I began to experience BookIt in February of this year (2019). I found and booked online but before I could complete it I felt I should call them because this was my first experience. Very informative, professional, thorough and smooth. After booking I received an email confirmation with flight intensity, hotel/stay details and ground transportation. The process was flawless up to some error glitch checking out. However a representative called me not even 60 seconds after and review the booking line by line again. She was really nice and able to take care of my reservation in a decent time (9 minutes) then reviewing the confirmation email some other issues arose (misspelling of 2nd traveler last name) and required her contacting the airline (this took over 25 minutes while remaining on hold). Pls fix the checkout online glitch and you will certainly getting 4/5 stars.

The room given to my was at a corner by the freeway. Not nice. I had to pay 300 to upgrade. So just upgrade online. Other than that everything was amazing. Food and staff was also awesome!! Clean hotel and cool activities. Alcohol mee but I enjoyed. It was 40 min from Vabis San lucas.

I called to change my reservation. I waited about 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone. I have lots of questions about the hotel, I have never been to Mexico. I am sure they were glad when I got off the phone. The only problem I had is that the room I wanted became fully booked prior to my turn with the guest services. I booked with BookIt because I found a great rate for exactly what I was looking for. The hotel I chose was listed under the “All Inclusive” so I booked it!!! As it turned out it was Not. I called back the next day to confirm my booking and was told hotel was not All Inclusive!!! I was very dissatisfied and disappointed and had to cancel my reservations. This was not my first time booking thru Bookit.com. I spent a lot of time to find the perfect all inclusive resort in Cancun hotel area to take my family on a trip they would remember forever. I had ten people to reserve for this travel and unfortunately was unable to accomplish this myself online. Had to call in which couldn't get the reservation all under one booking ID, it had to be done under two.
Unfortunately, 3 months before our trip I had to remove and cancel 3 people from the trip that couldn't make it. I had checked cancellation policy before ever booking the trip and thought I understood it. I was wrong and most disappointed that when I cancelled these 3 I had to cancel the rooms and re-book at whatever was available and at the cost during that time. It changed everything about my trip, including the rooms we had originally planned and reserved. I would have been better off not cancelling those people in the end, but that didn't make sense and was not at all customer appreciative to put me and my family in that situation! A last minor detail was customer service didn't cancel the transfers for the 3 people we removed from the reservation. I will not likely use Bookit for any future large group travels nor would I recommend to others.

If I could give zero stars I would, a friend recommended this site and I decided to book a trip. At time of booking an error message popped up instead of confirmation that instructed I contact customer support. Upon contacting customer service, the agent was unable to offer any explanation or any certainty that the issue would be resolved. When I asked if this was a common issue with the company agent stated she was unable to answer that. I asked be refunded as I did not feel comfortable rebooking with such uncertain service. Excessive hold time on phone when I asked for a refund, overall extremely disappointed with this service. Will not be using this site again.

I called to verify one of the All Inclusive Feature comments under the description of the rooms (Unlimited National and Imported Drinks Between 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 A.M., Including in the Disco). That comment is super confusing and conflicts with being all inclusive. The phone call didn't really clear anything up for me. I ended going to the hotel's website to verify. I was booking it while talking to the customer service rep. When I hit the complete button, the page didn't load and I received the error message below.
"Note: There was an error while trying to book the hotel portion of your package. The flight portion booked successfully and was charged to your credit card. Please do not attempt to re-book this package. Attempting to re-book the package may result in duplicate flight charges to your credit card which are charged by the airline and may be non-refundable." Thankfully the service rep was able to figure things out on his end. I will say that the service reps should know the promo codes that are available for the vacations being booked. I had to ask him to put it in. Other than that, he was very helpful.

Everything was fine and the agent was very pleasant. Only problem is that I gave her my middle name, which is on my passport and which she repeated to me, and when the confirmation came through it was not included. I am leaving the country and my documents must be exact and match my passport. When I called Bookit back about 45 minutes to an hour after I made the booking and explained the problem, I was put on hold for 5 minutes and told that I would have to call back the next day. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I booked a trip for my birthday today with confidence in believing this site was legitimate and cared about customers. After booking, and after confirming my payment plan and taking money out of my account for the down payment, I received an error stating the flight was not available. Now for one, all things including flights should be confirmed prior to money being taken from a customers account and for two, the customer should not be required to pay extra for a mistake made by Bookit.com. I called and the representative was not helpful in getting this situated. He wanted me to dish out an extra $140.00 for a new flight which defeats the purpose of the payment plan. I am very unhappy with the service I received and I will be taking this up with the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer if they do not fix my flight.

I booked Ocean Maya Royalle on 3/25/19 but decided yesterday that Reef 28 would be a better choice for the surprise occasion for my spouse. 1st off the customer representative had such a strong accent so it was challenging to understand him. Once we booked everything we went over the names and I realized he spelt my friend name incorrect so he said he would change it. I called back the next day because I didn’t get a new confirmation email. The new representative told me the change wasn’t made and I had to pay $65 to do a name change. I was pissed off because why should I pay for his mistake!!! I ended up calling me JetBlue and they made the name change for $25. This was my 1st time using BookIt and I was a little disappointed.

Hi, I’ve been to Jamaica over 8 times and last time there stayed at Jewel in Runaway Bay. They were building a waterpark and I wanted to bring my grandkids back! Well no one had Jewel as a choice till BookIt????

I have been unable to log in to member site since I booked hotel. I am unable to print out vouchers and have had to call each time and wait on hold to get help. They have been nice on the phone but highly inefficient.

For starters, 1st time booking with Norman at Bookit, he did wonderful job. There is a big group of us going, 2 families of 4 and a family of 5. We all got the same rate the 1st time booking. We did a lot of reviews and decoded to switch resorts so when we all individually called back to change, the other 2 parties got refunds due to the resorts being cheaper and I got charged 200.00 more. The representative told me it was because the resorts change their prices every minute, mind you my friends are on phone with other agents getting refunds same time I was on phone paying more. Asked for a supervisor to call me because I was very frustrated, she took down my info. 2 and a half weeks later still have not received a call.

When the agent was given permission to book there was a error with the system so the transaction was not complete. Only the airline portion went through. I was advised it was withdrawn and my card would be credited in -24 to 48 hours. I was a little taken back but still allowed him to redo the booking. Not a good look. The agent was however very good and helpful. Mr. ** thank you!

I checked several travel sites and BookIt.com had the best prices. BookIt was less expensive than Expedia, Priceline, and Tripmasters. I am very pleased with the hotel selections that I had to choose from. I wanted a hotel in the Old Town close to the Christmas Market, and BookIt.com had a great selection of hotels.

Very sneaky practice!!!! A $25 per person and $25 service fee is charged to cancel a reservation. When booking I made sure it I made a reservation that I can cancel. I even purchased the insurance offered. I had to cancel in less than an hour of booking due to a schedule change. Now I'm being charged $75. I always spoke highly of BookIt, will make sure to let everyone know to be aware.

I traveled from Tampa to Miami. Received a confirmation that I was all set to go. Needless to say when I arrived in Miami me and my 2 daughters had no room at 10:30 pm. The hotel was fully booked so they had to relocate me, they said it was a 5 Star and an upgrade from my other hotel. They sent me to Grand Plams which is a dump, dead roaches in the room, dirty carpet, old stained furniture. Me and my daughters felt very unsafe, couldn’t sleep. Called them several times and was told nothing they could do, I will never use their site again. BookIt, Expedia they are all the same company. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE representatives from Central America. And no not satisfied or resolved.

I was trying to book a trip for July to Riviera Maya Mexico and got into the booking for the flight and hotel. I input my credit card information, but was still hoping to find baggage booking and choosing seats, knowing those would have an extra charge. Little did I realize I actually booked the hotel and flight, but had seat charges later. I hit "cancel" hoping it would just back me out, but it canceled the whole booking after having a "non refundable hotel". Now I'm trying to reinstate the hotel in Mexico but not sure if they will, so might be charged. This website with BookIt is misleading as they do not tell you all charges upfront to know the entire cost. Now I might be out of luck due to a confusing website.

On January 21, 2019 our close friends and us booked a vacation to the Hilton La Romana Adult Only, All Inclusive Resort. On Monday, March 25th we found out by contacting the resort, that the adult only side was closed for refurbishment and wouldn't be open until the end of May. Our reservations were in April. I phoned BookIt on Monday evening that the resort did not have adult only available and wanted to charge us a change fee and had to cancel the resort portion of my of the booking. After a lot of talking and bickering, I was able to book a room with only a $25.00 charge at a different resort but not the upgraded room the resort had on their website, which was not available thru BookIt. I ended up with a garden deck room.
My friend called the next day and wanted to do the same but with the sea view. He had to pay $75.00 modification fee and $300 for a room that was only $150 more than what I paid for. When we checked with the resort today, they showed he had the same kind of room as me. After all we went through with BookIt this week and customer service being very inconsistent, we both decided to cancel or resort reservations and paid the $50 cancellation fee and ended up paying one night because we had to do it before March 28th. Had we known about the incorrect room booking yesterday, we could have saved a bunch of money!

I booked for only one when it should have been for two. I get it my fault. But when I tried to log in and modify my booking I kept receiving an error code. I then reached tried to reach out over phone to your customer service dept because the error message referred me to do so. I was on hold FOREVER!! Then I reached out via email. And still today no response! And I called several times last night to only sit on hold for over 45 min...ridiculous! I expect more from your customer service department but clearly you don’t have one! So I was forced to cancel my entire booking for a $25 fee that I probably wouldn’t have had to pay if you had a customer service department! Beyond disappointed with my first ever experience booking a trip through BookIt! I will be seeking other travel options in the future!

I called bookit at 7:30 pm. I booked a vacation package in Feb for my family of 6 to go to Jamaica. I called last night to add another family member, at first everything seemed fine but at the end rep was getting error message - here BookIt had no flights left so I called American Airlines. Got her a seat on our round trip flights and called back BookIt to add her to one of our rooms. Again everything seemed ok. I asked if she had transportation to and from airport and hotel as I ALREADY purchased for the other 6, glad I asked because she did not have the transportation. Now I am curious if she has the insurance as well she was to have everything the other 6 had. Needless to say was finished calls and trip confirmed complete by 2AM.
The family member I added just informed me her cc was charged twice - one for the price BookIt ya e me and then the price directly from American Airlines. If someone can contact me I would really appreciate it. I need to confirm everyone has same package as well as the insurance and what can be done about her double charge. Thanks. Faith **.

I upgraded the seating on my flight which added $45 per person. It increased my total from over $1900 to over $2000 yet the final package doesn't include the upgrade that I paid for and you refuse to fix it.

As soon as we hit submit on our booking it said, "Unexpected error occured. Please call customer service". Did that. Our booking was found but our $200 of promo was not. They said they couldn’t fix it and so we just lost $200 with them not trying at all to help. Said we could cancel our order and pay $50. Cool. Don’t buy here or you will have problems.

Booking ID **. Booking Travel Dates - 3/17/19 - 3/23/19. I booked this vacation for my wedding anniversary. I have always been a loyal customer to Bookit.com until learning the hard way with this trip. When something in the itinerary goes wrong, the customer has no rights or even ability to get in touch with an agent for guidance or to assist with remedying a situation. Bookit.com representatives added to the confusion after hours and hours of being disconnected when put "on hold" or "transfer" and ultimately wasted all possible time that we could've rectified a circumstance and then provided false information that ultimately cost us thousands of dollars. 3/16/19: At 5:30 pm (less than 12 hrs from travel and via email), we received an email indicating that our flight had been cancelled and Bookit.com wanted us to “Accept” an alternate schedule to miss our first 3 days of vacation (with no offering of an extension or refund for days missed).
I did not “Accept” the new itinerary. I immediately called customer service. I waited on hold for over one hour before connecting with a rep. In the meantime, my wife searched for alternate flight arrangements as it didn’t make sense that Bookit.com wanted to eliminate our first several days of vacation, and charge us for unused days at the resort. This representative said, “It is not Bookit.com’s problem”. There was not even an “I’m sorry” or “let’s see how we can help get you to your trip”. She was rude and indicated that we are not eligible for a refund or extension to the vacation and would not be compensated for the days they had us scheduled to miss had we accepted “Tuesday” as an option. I asked to speak with a Supervisor.
After waiting on hold again for a long period, I was “disconnected”. During this time, we continued to research alternate flight arrangements and checked the status of the flight that we were supposed to be taking to learn - Websites were still selling the flight and JFK Airport still showed the flight as scheduled “On Time” (I can provide screenshots and documentation for ALL of my statements). Highly confused now, we called Bookit.com again to repeatedly sit on hold and be disconnected for the duration of several hours and not speaking with anyone, as the first representative always says they will “transfer” you (this is when you get hung up on). It was getting late and our car service was scheduled to pick us up at 4 AM. We needed to know if we should make the alternate arrangements OR was our flight still scheduled as all websites indicated it was.
On our final phone call to Bookit.com that evening we finally got a representative that offered an apology. She looked up our itinerary and it showed as still “ACTIVE”. To be sure, she wanted to get in touch with the airline and placed me on hold. This hold was roughly 1.5 hours to which she checked in to let us know that Interjet also had high call volumes. After 1.5 hours though, this call too was “disconnected”. It was now a few hours before the car was to get us and we still had no answers. Not ONCE, did a representative call us back when the “disconnections” were each on their end and I’m certain that phone #s are attached to a customer’s Booking ID. Time after time we waited for 1.5 hours to explain ourselves from the beginning each time.
Time was of the essence and all indications including the Bookit.com agent and JFK’s website showed our flight to be active. Having not had the opportunity to even go to bed now, our $400 round trip car service arrived. Upon being dropped off, we came to learn along with about 50 other angry travelers that the flight had been cancelled. Further, Interjet couldn’t locate us as having ever been booked on this flight. After arguing (meanwhile Bookit.com is CLOSED and so sitting on another 1.5 hour hold wasn’t an option), we came to learn that Bookit.com put us on the Tuesday, 3/19 flight without our consent. We were now stranded at the airport and Tuesday the 19th makes international travel not worthwhile and quite frankly not an option as it cuts our vacation in half and we were already in over our heads with cost and at the airport. Again, we searched travel apps for flights on own (NOW LIMITED TO JFK airport).
There were 3 seats on outgoing flights for the entire day and roughly 50 other hostile travelers learning that the flight had been cancelled. Had Bookit correctly informed us, we could have and would have left out of Newark for $1400 less than we ended up needing to pay. This was why it was URGENT the evening prior that someone provide proper information and to that Bookit should have enough staff to not place customers on hold for hours on end and then not call back when they "disconnect". Bookit.com doesn’t open until 9AM (not that they ever demonstrated care, truthful information or guidance anyhow), but we were in a position where we did not know what to do. We booked our own one way flight for late afternoon out of our own pockets for far too much money that we could’ve been spared had someone given us correct info.
Not only did Bookit.com’s mistake/misinformation cost us $2100 for a one way fare to get to our destination out of JFK, it also cost the opportunity to make other accommodations as a reasonable cost, it took away the first day of our trip. It caused extreme frustration and lack of sleep for days. It caused my wife’s temperature regulated prescription medication to be destroyed. It caused me to fight with your people that STILL won’t take any accountability or offer any apologies over the duration of my vacation once I finally got myself to my own destination. We called Bookit.com several times on 3/17 once they opened to see if they can assist as we still had the “maybe” flight that we never agreed to scheduled for Tuesday in addition to airport transfers in Mexico that we would clearly not be in attendance for.
Not ONCE did Bookit.com contact us with changes, accommodations, an apology or to let us know they were managing all of the items that got screwed up. We had to fight for that too. I was told by “Monique” at roughly 12:30 PM on 3/17 that manager Tiffanie ** would review our information and get to us in 12-24 hours. That said, we should’ve heard from someone at some point on Monday, 3/18. This also did not happen. It was Friday 3/22 that we received an email from a different “manager”- Niema that Bookit.com takes no accountability for any of this and won’t do anything to remedy. We were told “Your flight is showing active” and I'm sure that if Bookit.com does "audits" as claimed, how is misinformation and hanging up on customers "NON AGENT ERROR"? What responsibility does Bookit.com have to customers?
I have been misinformed, disrespected, taken from, and not gotten MOST of the services that I paid for (down to the anniversary package below). I have been assigned "manager" after "manager", yet have never spoken with any of the "managers" and they keep changing the Manager. Finally, we were to have a Bookit.com “Anniversary Package” that we needed to travel with our marriage transcript for. Bookit.com never made these arrangements with the hotel, and none of the additional amenities were provided for (room upgrade, champagne, strawberries, etc).
Item after item that Bookit.com fell short on and that could’ve been avoided. Would I be happy if I was given correct information the evening prior and told to book my own new flights? I wouldn’t have been happy; but I certainly wouldn’t have taken a $200 car service on zero sleep, sat on hold with your people for hours and hours, hung out in an airport for 12+ hours, had my wife’s medication ruined causing painful consequences, and spent an additional $2100 on a one-way flight all due to your error. I would’ve left out of Newark airport, had the car service take me to the correct alternate airport, not lost a day of my vacation… This was a very pricy vacation that was supposed to be special and it was ruined by the ongoing misinformation and total negligence of Bookit.com’s awful representatives and there needs to be some accountability for this.

I've had problems with third party bookings before so was very skeptical about trying BookIt.com. I must say, I would highly recommend them. Our room was fantastic (top floor with an awesome ocean view), they responded quickly to a question I had, and even quickly answered a telephone call I made to them. The filters on their website made it easy to narrow down exactly what we were looking for and we will definitely use them again!
