Bookit was the most cost effective site offering the trip I was looking for. They also made the process very simple in booking the flight, room and excursions. I will definitely be coming back to Bookit.com for my next vacation. It was a great experience!

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience I had with BookIt. I looked around for a few days and trying to find the perfect hotel and flight packages to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Finally I decided to book with BookIt because the flight time they had work for us, and they have many package deals. We were very excited. Few days later, we received email stating “our quality control system alerted us your flight does not land to the location of the hotel” and they had cancel our flights. It was 4 days before our vacation. On Friday night, we waited on the phone for 43 mins until a representative was available to speak to us. Only to find the person was very rude and did not want to listen to us. We told her the flight stated it was going to Cancun when we booked and now we are left with no flight, all we wanted was for them to find us a flight that can match to the time and match the price since it was a system error from BookIt.
She told us we need to pay $400 more for the new flights when it was already a $3000 vacation package. We requested to speak to supervisor which she replied “For what?” After our persistence on speaking with supervisor, she put us on hold for another 15 mins. Supervisor was more professional however refused to match our original package price. We ended up cancelling the hotel as well and spent more time to look for a completely different package. It was overall a very bad experience, especially with customer service. Total time spent on the phone was 1 hours and 17 mins. Does it seem to be a little ridiculous for you BookIt? I hope someone reads this and try to make a difference for us customers.

The most difficult frustrating customer service experience EVER. We were trying to change destinations for our upcoming vacation to DR due to all the negative press. After holding for 1.5 hours we finally got connected to a rep who had a strong accent and had a hard time explaining the process. It felt like we were going in circles. We clearly explained we are trying to pay as little more as possible to switch destinations but was open minded with dates and destinations. After another 1.5 hour we agreed on another destination with almost the same fees. She then comes back and says the difference is $1300!!?? Then says she has to transfer us to the airlines dept in order to change the flight which 88 people were in front of me!! Which would be up to 1.20 hours more!!???
We asked to speak to a manager with hopes she would be able to understand what we want to do. We waited an hour for her to get on. She reconfirmed it would be $1300 more for this new reservation to take place. AND that there is a $200 fee pp to change airfare. My husband waved the white flag and decided to stick to our original plan. We were cornered into going on vacation to worry about what to eat and drink. Total hours wasted = 4 hours. Unfair, cheated and unsupported.

As I write this review, I have been on hold since 9am!!! I called as soon as they opened and I still haven’t been able to speak with anyone! Yesterday, I was also on hold for hours and by the time I spoke with a representative, the flight dept was closed. I am so upset, I am ready to call 7 on your side and report this company! I understand that there may be a wait. But, for two days, I have been unable to get anyone and as I wait, prices just keep going up. The prices yesterday were a whole $100 less. I am ready to just cancel my whole trip.

We have been trying to change the destination as we are currently booked to travel to Punta Cana in 10 days. Very hard to get a hold of anyone, was on hold for 3 hours. We were told they would call us back with a resolution but still nothing. I would hope with so many news stories about the DR coming out, Bookit.com would want to help consumers and not work against them.

Changed our destination from Punta Cana to Cancun with all that is going on there. Staff was very helpful and patient as we tried to decide which resort to choose. Young lady who helped us was very pleasant. Only downside is American Airlines sucks! Charging us $200 per ticket to change destination when people are dying in Punta Cana resorts.

The service representative called me as I was having trouble finalizing my trip online. I thought "wow, did BookIt.com really just call me to assist with getting my trip booked??". I was 100% impressed with this type of service as we all know that anything not working online is very or can become very frustrating. I was referred by the Travel Zoo website to BookIt.com to plan our Jamaica Anniversary trip this fall. On phone for about 8 hours in total trying to re-book from Punta Cana to St. Lucia. Had to cancel entire trip. Quoted many different prices, trip went from $2800 to over $3700. The service was deplorable. Now cannot get my flight credit as Bookit and JetBlue are saying different things.

I was originally booked for Punta Cana and has already paid for half of the trip. With the recent events of American tourists dying I was afraid to go. Booking was able to change my resort to Jamaica. I paid a $25 fee which I feel is reasonable.. Thank you so much BookIt.com!

Sooo I booked my sister's flight directly through United Airlines and was able to switch it from Punta Cana to Cancun for only 34 dollars. I asked them to look up my flight that I made through BookIt and was told it was BookIt themselves charging customers a 200 fee to change even with everything going on in DR. I called bookit to change my hotel and flight and was on hold for 4 HOURS AND 15 MINS!!!! Just for them to give me the same hogwash lie about the airline not letting them transfer people tickets without a fee.. very disappointing especially since this isn’t my first time booking my vacation through them.

Waited over 2 hrs to speak with a representative and took an additional 2 hrs to change my reservation, on top of all this they wouldn’t waive the $25 fee. I would never recommend anyone to book with BookIt.

We initially booked our vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic earlier this year without incident. After the media publicized the mysterious deaths and illnesses in the Dominican Republic, we had second thoughts about going. We came to an agreement to change our destination. It literally took us two weeks and hours and hours of phone time (on hold longer than talk time) to make this happen. I will NOT be using BookIt.com again. The customer service was unacceptable while trying to change our destination. Horrible.com!!!

I have been attempting to contact BookIt for over a week about my upcoming travel on June 28th, 2019. Every time I call, I get a different response and the "Flight Department" always seems to be closed. I have been sent on a wild goose chase between the airline and BookIt and as I currently wait on hold 1 hour and 15 minutes in I am getting more and and more frustrated.
I am traveling with 5 other people and they all have called as well only to be told the same thing, that "someone would contact them". I paid over 2,000 for this trip only to get the run around for a simple request. I should NOT have to wait on hold for 2 hours at a time and wait for over 10 days for a call back. I will be sure to tell all of my family and friends to steer clear of this company and BS. The WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. What a shame, because everything was fine up until I needed additional answers from them. I HOPE that I get a call back today as I was promised. SHOULD YOU WANT TO LOOK INTO MY BOOKING, MY BOOKING ID IS **.

I booked a trip to Punta Cana with some friends to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. I called to cancel the trip when people started dying. One person actually died at the resort we were booked to stay at. The trip was non refundable and lucky for us, I did get travel insurance. I now have to submit a claim and hope I am successful at getting my money returned. It is disappointing that with so many people dying, the FBI involved a new travel warning on the country, they would not offer refunds. Will not be booking with them again.

Everything were so easy to do, they have plenty off deals to choose from. The only issue I had, I couldn’t picked ours seats when they said we will be able to do so after we booked. We are traveling with 2 teenagers, I would prefer if we all seats in the same row so we can keep eye on them.

I spent my 1st time calling you about a serious issue a whole hour on the phone and no one picked up my phone call. 20 minutes later I tried again for 45 minutes and no one picked up the phone. I'm not very happy with the lack of human contact or any contact at all. I had a problem and could not fix it because no one would answer the phone.

I went to Grand Palladium and the resort is beautiful and food and staff was great however it leaked in our bathroom when it rained one night. This resort is also not for friends. It's more for couples. We was bored by 9pm. If not for these two issues I would give 5 stars.

With chaos erupting in DR, Bookit.com was extremely accommodating when we decided to change our travel plans. I had sat on hold for over 3 hours and wad posed some questions that I needed to discuss with my traveling group before finalizing and Shaya set a time to call me back and actually called on time and still allowed me to call and ask additional questions. After we solidified all plans, she walked me through the breakdown and made sure I understood all changes and how the money was dispersed. I pray the trip goes amazing and I can come back and rave about the experience.

I just booked my second trip through BookIt.com because my first trip was so awesome. I went to Jamaica and it was pure luxury. My check in was fast, and easy. My payments were priced great. I had no problems with customer service at all. It's just a long wait time if you call. I changed my trip 2 different times and all my monies were transferred correctly. I called often and was always taken care of immediately, the agents were knowledgeable and super nice. I will review my second trip as soon as I come back. Don't doubt bookit.com.

This is my second time booking a trip with BookIt.com and the experience is always easy, helpful and user friendly. I will always recommend to family and friends and will continue to use this site when planning trips. I find that the deals at bookit.com are way better than any other sites and the descriptions are clear and informative. I love how I don’t have to go to the actual site of the hotel to get a better grasp of what the hotel looks like. There is even videos of actual guest stating the experience while they are in the hotel.

I called and modified my reservations 3 times! Finally on the 3rd attempt they got my reservations correct, spending 75 dollars! Each time I specifically said I wanted sea view and was only booked regular room, I almost said forget it but I really want to go to Jamaica, so hopefully now my room is correct... Fingers crossed.

When to call about flight changes you are on hold for over 1 hr. Specifically booked this trip because it was a direct flight and know I have stops and may not make my connecting flight but they can’t change. So disappointed in the service. Still on hold while I’m writing this!

Me and four other travelers had to cancel our trip to Punta Cana, that was set to leave in October of 2019. I called and tried to change our flight, so we would lose out on going on the trip and they said that there was a $253.00 fee so we decided to just cancel it and let them have the payments that we already made. So when we finally cancelled our trip (we read all the term and conditions). We had up until September 29th to cancel our hotel. Any cancellations after the 29th of September and we would be charged for two nights. This is currently the month of June and Bookit charged us for the hotel. This is ridiculous and I wouldn't suggest that anyone use Bookit. They follow a script in front them and can't answer any of the questions that you have for them. WASTE OF TIME! People are turning up dead left and right in DR and we didn't feel comfortable going out there and this is how we get treated?! UNACCEPTABLE!

We are always willing to help you get exactly what you want, however the refund and cancellation terms which you mention are set by the airlines and the specific hotel or resort and not BookIt.com. My online reservation showed an error and I called customer service to make sure it went through. It had not, the representative provided great service and made the reservation for me. She was attentive and kind, explained all the conditions of the reservation and sent me a confirmation via email.

Am not happy about the changes in price during the booking. But this site price is cheaper than other sites that I have visited. Customer service is very patient and helpful. But it’s hard to to get to your current booking sometimes.

Tried to cancel a booking within 30 minutes of the original call due to an error that the agent had explained. After discussion with their agent and the manager on site, they were unwilling to accommodate. I know that no transfers had been made yet they would not cooperate. In addition, their charges were more than the hotel prices. Very unpleasant experience.

Because of the violence and multiple deaths of American tourists in the Dominican Republic, we decided to modify our trip to a different destination. BookIt has hangup in our faces and refuse to refund or modify our trip. We were told that tourists who are traveling to Dominican Republic in June have first priority. Our trip is scheduled for July 1st and no one has returned our phone calls. If you call and try to speak to someone about a flight they will disconnect the call. I will never use BookIt again!

Hello, this is what I wrote them: "I booked a reservation a day ago and had to cancel thru bookit.com. I was deducted $692.41 for canceling a reservation I made within an hour of reserving it. Here is info of reservation: Property Name: Divi Aruba - All-Inclusive. BookIt.com ID: **. Cancelled: June 9, 2019 at 02:43PM. I think this is outrageous and I should be refunded all my money. How can you run a business by stealing people’s hard earned money. The computer glitched and booked it on the wrong hotel. I shouldn’t pay for someone else’s mistake." I have wrote them countless times to no avail. They should go out of business, total rip off.

A few weeks ago my best friend and I booked a 7 day vacation to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. Since that we have learned that 4 tourists have violently died and the FBI is investigating. While booking our trip I also purchased Travelers Insurance thru BookIt for an additional fee. After hearing about the 4th victim I decided to change travel plans to another Caribbean location. I contacted BookIt yesterday and was told that I would have to contact the flight carrier and cancel that flight and book to my chosen destination thru them, it would cost me an additional $200 per ticket from the airline plus $100 to BookIt for changing. When asked why my costly Insurance did not cover this I got double talk. This is the first time I used BookIt and If they are unwilling to change my travel destination and put my life at risk I will be forced to take legal action regardless of the small print I agreed to before.

Worst experience ever and I will never use this company again. I have tried for 3 days after booking to contact someone. Now I'm past my 24hr cancellation period and screwed. I was not given airline options. Booked with Spirit which charged me an additional 400 dollars to carry luggage to a surf destination. And because there is no contact from Bookit I have no recourse. They have cost me hundreds of dollars. Due to their lack of communication. Horrible horrible company and customer service.

Why did you take the money from my account this time, never ever did that before, not happy about it. I have always paid for it at the motel, the day I was there. Maybe the last time I ever use your service, also it is higher priced than ever before.

I attempted to log into BookIt.com and had no luck! Even with resetting my password. I had to call customer service in order to make changes to my reservation. The page kept on redirecting and then would state that page failed to open. Please fix the issue.

This process has been so stressful. We have our package booked. A week before the trip, I get an email from them, stating that my hotel has been shut down for 'mechanical' issues, and I need to rebook. I reply to the email to reschedule the hotel. No reply. I call the booking agent, and they send an email to the booking department as well, but cannot help me over the phone. It is now 2 days away from the trip, and I have no hotel, and have spent almost $3700 on a trip I don't even know if I will be able to take. Stressed to the max!!

I had to cancel my trip per my doctor's orders and this was by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. The customer services representatives can’t help you with anything but booking and taking your money. They transfer you to all these different departments. I sat on the phone for an hour and 1/2 to speak with the flight department after being transferred there by a customer service representative only to hang up and call back and was told by another representative that the flight department is closed until tomorrow. They make it nearly impossible to make changes too or receive/redeem your flight credit. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN. I WON'T USE ANOTHER AGENCY LIKE THIS JUST BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE. I can go on and on about my experience and how horrible it was but I think you get the point. Shame on you BookIt.com.

Customer service Needs some work. I was on hold for a very long time and when I got through I still couldn’t get any help. I had to call the airline myself. I was calling regarding my seating for our flights. I was unable to get insurance for my flight because the site was in there and we get through. I wanted to see what actions was available so definitely your site and customer service needs a little work. This is my first time using BookIt. I usually use Expedia So hopefully all goes well with my trip.

I have used Bookit to book my summer vacations for the past few years, and had good experiences until now. I attempted to book my flights along with hotel accommodations, it was a total fail. The flights offered were through Interjet, which is an airline I like. Each time I attempted to confirm the booking and pay for it, the system kicked me out. After making several attempts I called the customer service number. The representative attempted to help as well but kept getting the same response. We were on the phone for a while. She conferenced the airline representative and there was a language barrier. We were hung upon, and made a second attempt. It did not work out. I was tired and frustrated with something I thought would be so easy. I ended up having to book the tickets separate from the hotel accommodations, as was suggested by the representative, which was a bit more expensive.
I then called Bookit again to book hotel accommodations, well the person said the price I was paying was because I was not purchasing hotel and flight together. After going back and forth, which I don't feel I should have done, he did give what I believe was a 100.00 dollar discount. I was also told I could add my flight information into the booking myself. The experience took all day to handle, and it was absolutely not what I expected. This, I believe, would have been the first time I was going to book both, accommodations and flights through Bookit. I may still use Bookit in the future, not quite sure at this time.

I booked my trip online. After booking I checked the website for the actual hotel. The hotel website was a cheaper rate than BookIt. Yet Bookit says they have the “cheapest rate, guaranteed”. I spoke to customer service and they said that there wasn’t anything they could do. I will not use bookit in the future and will not recommend it for anyone else to use. The total bookit was going to charge me was $1,436.16. The total the customer service agent from the hotel (named Leo) told me it would only cost $1,091.

I will never book travel with this site again. After paying and booking I received an e-mail saying my flight was no longer valid. I called to change it and was told I needed another deposit and to wait to be refunded for the first deposit. The only option was to cancel the entire trip and wait for a refund or to pay for the flight in full now. I am very disappointed. I kept my hotel reservation and will book the flights on my own because of the poor customer service and the customer service rep who I could hear laughing at how upset I was by this booking error.

I will never use this company again, before you use any site like this read the terms a first. However, the terms are so pro vendor that the consumer will lose every time. I scheduled a vacation for 6 days, but I received an email that my flight had changed which shorted my trip to 4 days, but my hotel stay didn’t decrease. I was on the phone constantly trying to correct the issues, but the hold time is ridiculous and once you get them on the phone it's more hold time and then you have to wait for a response. Bookit has to reach out to the venue where I’m going to stay to see if they will adjust my stay, however an email was sent a week ago and after calling again the email from the vendor hadn’t been addressed. If this matter isn’t resolved I will lose $540.00 which is unfair to me THE CONSUMER. This is deceptive and I hope I get a response soon or I will continue to write reviews monthly.

Terrible experience with the automated password reset process and customer staff (Giovany). I didn't book with Expedia because rates offered in Bookit were lower but as the booking process progressed I ended paying the same thing. Very disappointed with the slow "automated" password recovery process and offended with the responses I received from the two customer service agents I followed up with to try to resolve my issue. Since my upcoming reservation is mandatory I will have to pay more for the expenses of the lodging due to the Bookit.com.

Easy to navigate and simple to use. Functional with user rich content. Two suggestions: First, it would be nice if the site would allow for the user to select multiple adjacent/area locations following the initial search (left side frame bottom, after the search results are provided in the right pane/frame). Second, it would also be nice if the "map it" function was also placed on the hotel details page, and not just on the search results page.

Their customer service department is NOT customer service friendly. I have spent countless hours on the phone with them in the past few weeks regarding a cancellation of my son’s trip. The overall process was OK but not great. The agent I spoke to seemed in a hurry and not very personable. They also had a heavy accent and was extremely hard to understand. I ask several questions and they either didn't know the answer or didn't want to take the time to explain, again appeared to be in a hurry to just get the transaction completed. I had an insurance question and was told I would need to speak with someone else and needed to be transferred. When transferred I was cut off. The agent did call me back and transferred me again but to another agent that didn't know the answer to my question. This agent transferred me to yet again to another line and I was on hold for over 5 minutes and I finally just hung up without getting my question answered.
I did end up looking up the answer myself but would have had a lot better feeling about BookIt if more time was spent helping me as a customer as opposed to feeling like I was rushed into just getting a 'sale'. This is my first time booking with Bookit due to better price offered. My past trip was booked with Apple and the agent there not only took time to answer all of my questions but went over the full trip with great detail and did not rush me to just hurry up and sign. They also encouraged me to call back if I had additional questions or concerns, a much better service experience by comparison.

I have been trying to get a rebooking situation handled since Thursday immediately following the email I received. I have gotten completely different answers from everyone I have spoken with. In addition, the other couple that booked the trip with us received completely different answers and had their trip handled in a more timely manner. Here I sit typing this message while being on hold for the past 40 minutes....and this is my 8th call to them today to try to get answers after I've been sent on a wild goose chase to contact the old resort, new resort and travel accommodations that they supposedly handled on the front end. Hoping I get answers this time...oh yeah and my flight is in a week! Lovely way to spend my day, maybe I should note I've been trying to contact them for the past 3 hours as well. The agent over the phone who did my booking should be fired!! She lied to me! I reportedly requested to fly through Atlanta. She stated that there were no flights available through Atlanta which was a lie. She was only looking through United Airlines flights and not Delta. She now has me on a three hour layover which I did not have to be on and I could’ve flown through Delta. Because of your ** customer service you refuse to change it and own up to it. You were supposed to pull the tape and listen to her incompetency so that I can prove my point and switch out. You also refuse to do so! You stated because I agreed to the terms and conditions. That is correct but it was based on her lie that she told me. Even given that she also lied and stated there were no earlier flights available which there are so now she has me on this three hour layover which I do not have to be on. I still want my flights changed and I want Bookit.com to own up to their mistake.

While on hold trying to work it out with customer service my cell phone rang and it was Sarina ** who advised me what was going on and apologized, Sarina said there would be resolve today and she would call me back to fill me in. Maybe hour and half later Sarina called back again, apologized for taking so long and told me that it was all worked out and that the cost would not change... That's why we use BookIt.com.

The pricing for our booking was very reasonable and the whole process was efficient and provided many different options. Having done considerable research through various other avenues, I am certain that the prices offered are lower than I could have achieved through my own booking. There are two, IMO, which could be improved: 1. Detailed room information with more room photos - I have to go to hotel web site to check that; 2. I really liked that you can make payments on certain trips and luckily I was able to take advantage of it on my trip to Cancun. If I can give BookIt.com 0 stars I would. They pride themselves on having great customer service but that has been a complete fraud. I received a flight credit for a cancelled flight and I have been trying to redeem that credit for the past two weeks. I have called customer service to help me with this about 8 times in the past couple of days. They transfer me to the flight department because apparently that is the only department that can assist with flight credit. Every time I get transferred, I've been on hold for over an hour and then it hangs up. I tried calling again yesterday and the customer agent told me that sometimes the flight department closes if there are too many calls??? What?! Anyways, I need to book this flight last week for an emergency trip to see my family and that didn't happen and I had to pay out of pocket. Stay away from this website. I have never dealt with such terrible travel customer service and I am a frequent traveler.

Hotel services were amazing. Food was excellent. Only thing is too far away. Too much walking. The hotel shuttle takes forever to pass by and if you book the transportation with bd travel was horrible. They don’t explain anything to you. They don’t confirm anything with you. They don’t know their cancellation policy and when you ask to speak to a supervisor they never have their info. Also they left us the day we were traveling back home and they didn’t call us not once to let us know they were waiting for us or anything. Two other people that were supposed to go on the same bus got left also and missed their transportation and no one had answers as to where this person was. It seemed as if he already had his money so he didn’t care enough to help us or refund us or show face. He kept sending people under him to deal with us that were catching attitudes and not being helpful.

Bait and switch. We booked our vacation to Cancun for our family of 5. I specifically chose nonstop tickets because when traveling with small children you don't want to be stuck in an airport for hrs. Well when I called to verify my flights as the trip is approaching I was informed my flight was changed and now we will be stopping at another city and not only that it leaves 6 hrs earlier. Which in turns I lose an entire day of vacation because now we leave in the morning instead of in the evening. I called BookIt and was unable to reach a representative for hours, after calling multiple times and waiting for about 49 minutes I got a rep that informed me she couldn't help me because that belong to the flight dept but they closed for the day due to high call volume (does that even make sense?)
I emailed BookIt and no response. The next day I called again and the same issue after hrs on hold. They couldn't help me because the flight dept was closed. I asked what time does it closed and they said noon, which I said, "Funny. I called at 11 am," and she said, "Ohh today we closed at 11 because of high call volumes." AGAIN RIDICULOUS. I call the airline and they said that BookIt had agreed to that flight and therefore they can't change it and if they do it will be to a flight that was worse than what they changed it to begin with. So there I was stuck.
Finally 3 days later BookIt calls me and told me that I agree to the change in flights so they can't go ahead and offer me anything else. Are you kidding me? I didn't agree to any of this. I was getting nowhere with this rep. To top it off I asked her for my hotel reservation number. So I call the hotel and they told me that reservation has been cancelled. Like are you serious?? I called BookIt and it took me 3 days to get a hold of a rep and she just said, "Are you sure? It shows on our end." That was the extent of the help offered. She sounded annoyed with the call and really didn't care what I had to say. It was like since she saw it on her end then I had to be lying and there was nothing she was going to do to solve my issue.
Days later I get an email telling me to contact them because I tried cancelling my reservations. I NEVER DID. Again spent hrs on the phone and emailed them and no response. Definitely do not trust this company. Their customer service sucks. They sell you one thing and once they charge your card they change it around. I contacted my bank and filed a claim. I know it may not be much but it's not even about the money at this point, it's the principle. I will fight this even if I have to take legal matters.

I think your phone system is one of the worst. I was on hold for 59 minutes before I got in and then was transferred to a second area and put on hold for another 20 minute. Once I got to talk with a live person she was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to fill our needs and request.

I just want to let you know that I had talked to another couple and we had all decided to book for your company. They have never traveled with your company before. They were pretty excited about when we went to book our trips. We both showed the same price, same place, same airline, everything and I hit my button. She had her button to book at and for some reason I don't know what happened with your system but it started giving her all different kind of prices and then the next thing you know it kicked her out so then we had to fumble to try to get the same airline and the same hotel and everything and then because it was after midnight. Because we had to try to get everything the same it actually charge them $150 more which to me is just not right because I understand the price of the airlines went up but we booked it or try to book it before midnight.
Mine went through with no problem and when she put her through with your system it didn't take it properly and yes you guys did give her $50 back but in my feeling it should have been at least $50 per person and that would have made a better impression on them because honestly I don't know that they'll book for your company again which is too bad. So the name on that booking is Audra ** and Mike ** so I'm if someone wants to look at it great and that would be great if you could maybe help them with an additional $50. Other than that in a we've used you several times and that's why we decided to go with you again because we normally don't have any problems. This wasn't my first time booking a trip with BookIt. In the past, I've found my experience to be flawless. However, most recently I had a representative that did not understand and pronounce English well. There were a lot of mistakes with the spelling of names, numbers etc. The call lasted much longer than it should've (43 minutes) because ALL information was repeated several times. At the end of the transaction my flight was double booked and my account was charged unnecessarily. A different agent called me back immediately (less than 5 minutes) to resolve the issues and provided a $25 discount for the inconvenience. (Thank you!) Overall, disappointed with the hassle.

We attempted to book on another website and the price changed upon purchased by a couple of hundred so we tried another website and again the price changed upon purchase but this time by $2k, a ridiculous increased. Final attempt to book this resort using Bookit and no changes and we were able to confirm at the price shown. Thank you for saving us and now we are looking forward to an awesome trip in 3 weeks!

I was directed to BookIt.com by the Trivago website. I completed twice the reservation process for a room indicated as being available at the Royalton Riviera Cancun in Puerto Morelos, and both times, after putting in my credit card info, the system told me the room was not available. Therefore, I had to select another hotel, although I will attend a wedding reception at the Royalton Riviera Cancun and needed a room there. I ended up reserving at the Marina El Cid, but this was not my first choice. My friends found a room for me directly with the Royalton, so I now want to cancel the reservation I made very late last night. I hope this will not be an issue. Why do you advertise rooms that are not available???

I book my first reservation through the BookIt customer rep and was told, it was the resort I wanted but to come find out when I double check a few months later it was the wrong resort (similar name). So I had to cancel my reservation at the time and lost out of 75 dollars. I end up booking the right one at the very last minute.

We had booked through this website last year and had an amazing time, but this year was a bit different. We booked our trip and then half way through the payments we received a notification that we were going to be transferred to a different hotel. We called to see if there were other options, because the hotel they transferred us to was not to our liking and not worth the price we were paying. The Customer Service was terrible, they did not help us one bit, they told us nothing could be done. They told us we could either cancel the trip with no penalty, keep the hotel they transferred us to or change it to a different location for an upcharge.
We went ahead and cancelled the hotel we were given and changed location because our flights were non-refundable but they still charged us the cancellation fee they said would be waived and wouldn't refund us the money they said they would. Overall this ruined our outlook on this website and will be looking for other places to book through in the future.

Site will not allow you to pick airline seats. I get all the way through multiple times and hit to purchase and an “error” message pops up. You HAVE to call customer service. I got so frustrated I wanted to cancel my reservation and another “error “ message asking to call customer service. I call customer service. Of course you're on hold forever. I hung up. Hidden fees and not very easy to get a hold of them to help. I’ll try again to call. If any different I’ll update my rating.

I received an email stating the resort we booked was going to be closed during our stay due to renovations. I did not like the resort that was picked out for us as a replacement and when I called did not get any help in finding another property. It seems like we should've been given several choices instead of being made to stay where you want us to stay. The resort didn't even compare to the one we originally had. I'm very disappointed in the service and customer service. I was told "there are no other resorts we can offer you." I don't believe that for one minute. I will not be going through BookIt ever again.

If I had the opportunity to rate it without a star that would be my option. Being away with the military I finally was afforded the opportunity to check my emails on 5/13 to find out that I received an email from Bookit.com stating my trip was cancelled on 5/4. May 4th was my last payment date and on that same date two additional emails were sent stating that my booking would be cancelled and has been cancelled due to nonpayment. Needless to say my card had expired and it needed to be updated which caused this mishaps.
I find it hard to understand or comprehend why I was not notified by other means to correct this mishap. Altogether it appears the payment plan is fraudulent/scam and I would not recommend it to anyone. I immediately contacted a rep to find out that I will lose my requested room as no more were available. (downgrade) Here it is 5/14 and I am still getting the runaround as to rebooking. But the BEST part is that I am not being compensated for my inconvenience nor the countless hours I am spending to rectify this issue. The representatives (2) have been unable to provide accurate information and I was advised that a Supervisor would only document my complaint and could not offer any assistance. I will not book again with this Company.

Updated on 05/14/2019: I am not happy with the resolution. Due to the flight departments closure on date I called initially, I paid a higher cost for the same airfare. In addition to a $200 change fee?!?! And what is this $100 - 300 range? Why did I not pay $100 and who is this fee going to anyway. My understanding was the airline but this is double what American Airlines charges. Your email stating I can rebook directly with the airline is deceitful. The email from BookIt company says they charge a $25 booking fee. I am now paying $850 to go to Florida when I should be halfway around the world at that cost!!
Original review: Today, I called to get information about my flight credit I received from a trip I had to cancel. When I cancelled in April the BookIt rep informed me that I would have a flight credit for $563. Currently, I need to book a flight with the same airline provider, American Airlines, from the cancelled flight. American Airlines informed me that they cannot assist me with a third party fare, as it is a deeply discounted fare and they had no information as to credit amounts. So at this point I assume my money resides with BookIt. BookIt states in my trip cancellation email that I can rebook with the airlines (false - blatant lie) or book through them for a $25 fee (however, they don't even help when you call them). BookIt company is taking no accountability to resolve my flight credit.
BookIt informed me today that their Flight Department was "closed" due to unusually high call volumes. They said I can call back later to try to reach them. This was after being on hold with BookIt twice for 30 minutes to reach a rep. However, they were still assisting new customers with booking new trips. This is terrible customer service! My money is now held hostage by this company, while I stress about whether I can make my upcoming scheduled travel and keep hotel accommodations. The flight I need to schedule is 5 days away and I am no closer to understanding the flight credit booking process.
The rep I spoke with noted the travel dates I requested and completed a ticket for someone to reach out to me. He could give me no estimate on the amount of time it would take for another rep to reach out nor could he give me an individual's contact number. He also said he would not quote me a timeframe to hear from the company, because if it's not within the period of time he quotes me then "It would make him a liar." Seriously!?! This has been a ridiculous experience. I feel lied to and defrauded. Not to mention the incredible amount of stress this has caused me and time it's taking away from me at work at my job to get resolution with these shenanigans by BookIt. Shame on you BookIt.

I found your website fairly easy to navigate. Some screens are a bit busy. It was hard to find the flight information until late in the process. Also, not very intuitive on how to select seats. It shows some as being handicapped but you are able to select them. Overall it was pretty easy. This review is only for the booking process. Not the travel experience as I haven't gone yet.

The customer service rep that took my call maintained a calm tone but was sarcastic and rude as if she were doing me a favor when I am spending over 4 thousand dollars on 2 hotel rooms for my family. I was originally told I will not be charged a cancelation fee as long as I am rebooking immediately. While advising the rep of my initial conversation, she interrupted me with "alright alright alright" but I will note your account no further courtesies. I did not ask for a favor, I asked for BookIt to honor what I was told by my original customer service rep.

Much difficulty re changes to booking. 2 reps disconnected call due some complexity of request. Long wait times. Finally a Paul was able to make all necessary changes, although took long time to do so. Took several minutes for BookIt to answer phone.

I just booked our vacation in Cancun. Two rooms and four adults. There wasn't anywhere to check that we wanted two beds in each room, not a King. I like my friends, but I don't want to sleep with them. I called customer service and had a difficult time understanding what she was saying. A lot of background noise and strong accent made it difficult. She was very nice on the phone. I just hope my request is taken care of. Thank you!

Good prices and quality hotels. And lots of amenity choices. This is my second time getting from BookIt and I am pleased with the outcome. And both times I went to Cancun, Mexico. I highly recommend to anyone looking for good deals.

OMG the woman who helped me plan my vacation was so helpful and patient with me. I had so many different criteria to meet I couldn’t figure it out for myself. She was amazing. She was able to sort thru all the different options and find the perfect one for me and my family. I honestly don’t think I could of gotten such a great package if not for her help. Thank you.

Since I book these vacation I’ve been trying to get in contact with a person at BookIt now for over a month. I wanted to upgrade my room and add transportation and insurance. I’ve been on hold everyday for hours. Finally got some on the phone he just hung up on me. Told me he could access my ID. His name is Tonny **. I waited on hold again. I wanted to speak to a manger and women by the name of Tammy. Wouldn’t transfer me and told me she’s from corporate. I just wanted to cancel everything. She told me out of the money I already paid over 1,000 I would only get 127. I told her I’m writing the Better Business Bureau and I will never book with BookIt again. I will continue to use Cheap Caribbean. I never went thru these with them and at least when they say they have someone answering 24/7 days a week they mean it. You're all lies. Never again and I will tell all my friends.

Please remind customer service they need more operators to answer phones. I waited 85 min to cancel a flight. I love you guys but can’t hold for that long! I ❤️ BookIt and try to always use you for our MX trips!

The booking process was easy. The only thing I wish they would change, is accept American Express as a payment. I hope the Ocean View room that I booked will be the room I get when I arrive to the resort. We shall see.

I wanted to add a child to my reservation and they were so accommodating in making sure they took care of everything. Very easy to deal with and very pleasant on the phone. She ensured that our addition would not be an issue and gave me instructions on how to take care of the transportation part of our reservation. I would definitely book with BookIt again.

Your website makes it very easy to view many different types of resorts. Each resort has great pictures and descriptions of activities. Appreciate reviews from other travelers. Also, it's very easy to book everything online. Great prices on packages and airfare.

I found a great price online for a package to DR but had to call in to book rooms for our group. The rep was super friendly and was able to apply discounts to each room, although I had to tell her which codes would give the best discounts. It took an hour but she did it all with ease and confidence. However, when I asked about travel insurance, she had to transfer me to another department. After being on hold there with no response for 22 minutes, I hung up. That area can use improvement. Also, there is nothing about insurance on their website.

I am going to Jamaica for my very 1st time and I am so excited about it but I was overcharged and I can't get anyone to fix that for me. I have called many times to get the same answer which is we didn't overcharge you but my bank account say different. They asked me to screenshot it and email it to ** and I did that but no one has contacted me about the overcharge. I call that bad business...

By far the cheapest price we could find! Easy website to navigate and a lot of options to choose from for any vacation. We did a price comparison with other sites and Bookit was definitely the most affordable for the vacation package we were looking for.

The wait for customer service to answer is too long. Only for someone to answer and there is a communication barrier between customer and agent. Proper confirmation is not emailed to customer in timely manner, having to call and wait just to receive documents, please do better with your service. As I am typing I have been on hold for 20 mins with this annoying music.

I take vacation 2 times a year, I don't speak english and I don't understand neither but this isn't difficult with me because the people understand me. Rasheen was awesome. He was very quick, but thoroughly answered all our questions. He successfully booked a trip for 3 couples with a ton of questions in less than an hour. We travel together all the time and this was the best service received to date. We all put Rasheen's information into our cell phones for future use.

Wasn't pleased. Because I booked as a single person I missed out on promotion code package225. Got only $50 off but I'm close to paying almost $2000 just for traveling alone. I feel as if I would have gotten a better promotion code I would be happy. Please feel free to apply an additional discount to my reservation if you want bookings for the future. We travel often.
