I was able to purchase a package and called to verify that my trip was booked. Something went down with the airline which my airfare was dropped and BookIt told me to figure it out so I called the airline and they want me to pay an additional 300 for a flight for 2. I contacted BookIt and they want me to pay a cancellation fee due to a system issue and or error on their part. Unacceptable.

Paid BookIt 60 days before our vacation. Arrived at the resort and front desk manager came out to inform me BookIt had not paid for my room! I called Bookit and after 1 hour on the phone, they finally paid the hotel for my reservation and when I asked for an explanation they hung up on me. The hotel said they deal with this all the time from Bookit! The hotel was awful and Bookit totally misrepresented this place. The pictures had to be of another place because the trees on the so called beach was not even there! Bait and switch, beware and stay away. They take your money and don't even pay their bills!

I booked a room at the Riu in Ocho Rios months ago and received a confirmation. I'm due to travel tomorrow. Last night I receive a call stating that the Riu is no longer honoring their bookings and that they will relocate me at a different hotel in Montego Bay. The customer service person had me on hold for 20 mins and promised me that someone will call me first thing in the morning to confirm my new reservation. I called them at 9.30 a.m. and once again I was put on hold. When she came back on the line, she said I have to speak with her supervisor at 11 a.m. as they still can't confirm my new reservation. After reading all the reviews regarding Bookit.com, I'm starting to think this is a scam.

They sent me an email at 9:00am the day before we leave and tell me that the RUI is not available and they will need to relocate us. They only offered 1 place the Villas Playa Samara. This is not the same all inclusive we paid for 10 months earlier. They took my money, sold me one thing and then at the last minute tried to deliver something different and not comparable. This is fraud. Do not use BookIt.com. I wish I could talk to the other party that was robbed by them in the previous post. BookIt.com should not be able to get away with this type of larceny.

I can say without a doubt, this is the most UNPROFESSIONAL JOKE OF A BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! Two days before we head to our "dream vacation" they CANCEL our reservations without being able to provide a legitimate excuse, claiming the Riu Cancun suddenly cancelled their contract with BookIt (apparently for good reason because this company is a SCAM). Then, after hours of speaking to their "representative", if you can even call her that because she clearly has NO idea about customer service nor how to do her job, she regrets to inform us that we can either wait for a return phone call the next day, ONE day before our vacation, to confirm a new hotel, accept a downgrade of our package or cancel our vacation entirely.

I'm supposed to drop what I am doing as I prepare for my sister's graduation ceremony and research a new vacation? A vacation that took WEEKS to plan?! No perks, no upgrades and certainly no way to FIX the situation. When asked to speak to a manager, "They have all gone home." HOW CONVENIENT! A business that has NO MANAGEMENT?! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. At 5:30 on a Thursday night their management has all conveniently left for the evening and they refuse to contact them to address the issue at hand.

You have now successfully turned what was supposed to be a phenomenal vacation with my family into a headache and DISASTER. NEVER have I ever received such CRAPPY customer service in my life. Your agency is a FREAKING JOKE!!! So I encourage all to avoid, avoid, AVOID this company. Save yourself the hassle and BOOK WITH SOMEBODY ELSE! Share at your will. I'm sure they could use some great word of mouth.

When I arrived at my Cancun hotel they informed me that they had cancelled my reservation the previous day due to a failure to pay. I searched for a flight+hotel on Bookit.com from Boston to Cancun, and got a message on my browser asking me to call Bookit.com for a "special" flight deal. I called them and the agent sent me the deal over email. However, I found another better flight on Bookit.com so went ahead and made my booking. I emailed the agent back letting her know that I had booked. She responded saying that she had an even better deal and that I should call her. So I did. The agent made me cancel a booking I already had, assuring me a full refund, so I could get a better deal. She told me that everything was confirmed on my new booking and that my old booking was completely cancelled. None of the 2 were true.

1st phone call: I booked a new package on the phone, then she transferred me to the cancellation dept. I logged in the next day to notice the my old booking only showed hotel cancelled. The flights with AA still showed confirmed. Also, with the new booking that she had made, the Delta flights did not have a PNR number or a ticket number attached.

2nd phone call: I called Bookit.com, again, and was told that the flight has to be manually cancelled, which I wasn't told the first time. They manually cancelled it and apparently that's when the cancellation actually went through. Following that, they transferred me to the loss and prevention dept. in order to get Delta flight PNR. Apparently the system wasn't working, so they transferred me, AGAIN, to customer service or sales. Those guys told me that they needed to send info to the ticketing people so I could get tickets. They also told me that I should have the PNR number by EOD yesterday. Of course that didn't happen.

3rd phone call: So I called Bookit.com, yet again, and found out that my flight tickets were never booked. So I had hotels but no flights!! She had assured me that the flights were confirmed! The agent offered to go to the Delta website and book my flight again. I had to go over my card details and passenger details all over again. Finally when that was done, I go online and check my credit card, and I've been charged for 4 seats!! Seems like the system finally came back to life and booked me for 4 seats on the same flights.

4th phone call: So my husband called Bookit.com, AGAIN, and had to go over the entire thing again! I wasn't expecting the cancellation and rebooking to be such a headache! The agent had assured me that everything was confirmed. She told me the refund would take a couple of days, and I haven't received it yet. This has been such a pain!!

Summary: BookIt charged my Credit card for $5874.xx for a vacation, but when I didn't get an email confirmation the next day, and called them, they did not have ANY record of my vacation and when they offered to re-book me, they tried to sell me the same exact vacation for $8000+. Not Good Service! Specific Details: On November 30th, 2015 (Cyber Monday), I followed a promotional email to Bookit.com to look for good deals on all inclusive Caribbean vacations. I went through the search process, and found a vacation I was interested in, but there was no way to guaranty that we would have adjoining rooms, and we have a 10 month old, so we really need an adjoining room.

I called the BookIt Support #, and spoke with 'Theodessa'. I gave her my search # and she pulled up my search, and read out the dates, departures and arrivals for our flights, the room level etc and even the price. She explained that they couldn't guarantee, but they could put in the request, and she offered to call the Malia hotel for me to see if they could offer a guarantee. Unfortunately when she put me on hold it disconnected. So after 10 minutes without a call back, I called BookIt again. This time another woman helped me, I believe her name was Alana(?). She basically said the same thing, and so I ended up calling Malia directly, and when they also refused to guarantee the adjoining rooms, I decided to go ahead with BookIt since it had the flights I wanted too and was a little bit less expensive than buying flights and hotel separately.

I proceeded through the check out process, filled out all the required info, and got to the payment option and decided to try PayPal credit (because of the 18 months 0% financing offer). I agreed to get transferred to PayPal (which I have done a million times before), and completed the rest of the payment info. When I clicked submit on PayPal I got a processing signal, and then complete, but it didn't take me back to the BookIt page. So I pressed the refresh button and I got a notice that I couldn't refresh the page. So I went to my email to see if I had gotten a confirmation. I had received a confirmation from PayPal for the $5874.xx transaction, but I didn't receive a confirmation email from BookIt. It was late, so I went to bed thinking that BookIt may be busy with Cyber Monday, and have delayed emails.

When I got up the next morning and still didn't have an email, I called BookIt at 8:15 am (but they don't open until 9 am), So I called again around 3:30 pm and ended up spending 40 + minutes on the phone because BookIt had absolutely NO record of any of my previous calls, or even any of my details regarding the vacation I had attempted to book the day before. The BookIt Customer Service Rep called PayPal, and PayPal confirmed that I had been charged $5874.xx on the previous night from BookIt. The BookIt Rep ask PayPal to cancel my transaction, and then asked me if I wanted to rebook. I wasn't sure, but ended up saying to "go ahead", because I was not able to get the same prince to come up when I was searching. After the Rep got all of my details about flight times, hotel, passengers, etc, she then informed me that the price for the package was over $8000.....

I understand that travel prices change, but I am very frustrated that I spent hours and hours selecting and booking my vacation, was charged for it, and then BookIt did not bother to save ANY of my information, and would not stand by the price that they had already charged my PayPal Account. Recommended Improvements: 1. Keep track of your customer service calls (All of them). 2. Keep record of your customers that attempt to check out (honestly this is best practices for marketing to abandoned carts!!!) 3. Stand by the prices you charge on peoples credit cards, especially when one of your payment partners confirms that the amount was charged on the customers account.

On September 5, 2015 I booked a flight for my cousin and her husband. I immediately noticed the same amount of $612.36 was charged to my account twice. I called BookIt and was assured that the transaction would drop off of my account. This was not true. My account cleared two different transactions in the equal amounts of $612.36, totaling $1,224.72 on September 8th. I called the company to inquire about this additional charge and was told an email was sent September 6th to my cousin (which she never received) stating that the same flights were "double booked" and I would receive a refund of $612.36 in 3-5 business days but could take up to 14 days depending on my bank. I called multiple times over several days to inquire about why it was taking so long to return my money that was basically stolen from me. I did not book multiple flights. There was no reason for this to have happened.

On September 24 I called again and another agent told me it would take up to 60 days for my reimbursement. I was very upset at this point. I was placed on hold again for over 30 minutes only to hang up and call back because the representatives are obviously trained to place callers on hold in order to avoid. The next agent told me it would take 3-5 business days for my return and I yet again expressed I was frustrated because I should have received my return by now. She placed me on hold and came back only to tell me that I should receive a credit from the airline!

This is totally unacceptable being that I DID NOT book anything twice! I was then told by the same agent that because the flight was cancelled within 12 hours that I should receive a full refund. She placed me on hold for about 30 minutes to contact the airline. When she returned she stated that I would be receiving a full refund from the airline within 7-10 business days. The email was sent to my cousins' address before she spoke with me. After all I've been through I do not trust that this is even true. It should not take over 30 days to receive money that should have never been taken. The above information was submitted to the BBB on September 24th. Only after having to contact them was I able to speak with someone I could understand and receive my refund on September 28th! #NEVER USE BOOKIT.COM

In May we booked our vacation for the third week of October at Grand Princess Sunset resort in Playa Del Carmen through BookIt. We have confirmation emails from BookIt and we called Grand Princess to confirm our reservations a few weeks before the trip. We arrived at the hotel about 10:30 at night to be told BookIt had not sent the money for our stay and we would have to either let them put a $1700 hold on a major credit card or pay $850 cash to cover a 2 night stay until BookIt's offices opened on Monday to "resolve the issue." We had no major credit card with us nor did we have that much cash.

After several minutes of arguing with the hotel and several unsuccessful attempts to contact BookIt we agreed to a hold on our debit card of $850 that remained on hold until we ended our stay. BookIt called to apologize and blamed the hotel. The hotel blamed BookIt. I'm glad we did have some cash to spend otherwise our money would have been held hostage the entire time. I would not book with BookIt again.

I called Bookit to get my money back and they wanted to charge $50 fee to give me my money. I had a fit and they waived the fee and said I would have my money back in ten days... a month later no money. I called and after an hour they said that they will not refund my money. Stay away from Bookit.com!!! I booked an all-inclusive 6-day vacation for 2 people to Las Vegas staying at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas hotel. I called Bookit to inquire about the drinks included with my vacation only to be told my vacation is not all-inclusive. These were my options as far as they were concerned: 1- full refund. 2- $100 credit and submit food and drink receipts after my vacation and they would decide on the back end if I would be reimbursed. 3- $250 credit with Bookit for future use and $250 refund.

If they just offered the $500 refund that would possibly be an option for consideration. According to the hotel breakfast can cost $27 to $35 plus tax. So lunch and dinner are probably a lot more not to mention drink costs. At this point the fight and room for the dates reserved are no longer available or considerably higher. I am glad that I printed the advertisement from their website because they tried to deny they even sold me an all-inclusive vacation. A customer service representative had the audacity to say all-inclusive meant hotel and airfare. As I explained to the customer service manager Shawn $250 credit is useless since currently I have not interest of purchasing through their website in the future. I just wanted what I paid for or something comparable not insulting offers.

Bookit.com kept my charge card number and charged over a thousand dollars without reason, permission or even due. They had NO right to charge this amount and all they want to do is say, "I AM SORRY" and give me a $100 coupon to book another trip within 12 months. I told them, "I can not book another trip within 12 months," and they know that. Nor would I book with them again... EVER.

I have spent hours and hours talking with them. Made phone appointments with them to discuss, and they did not call. I called and was on hold 20 min. and was told, "I am sorry. We can offer you a coupon." They charged my card over a thousand dollars and admit this was a mistake. This is so illegal. They are sorry. SORRY... how does this happen? Did they think I would not see the statement? Also was told there would be no fee to review my reservation over the phone and then was charged 25 dollars to review it with them. Received two confirmations for a trip saying nothing was due and it had two bookings for my husband and I at the same time, different place. One paid, one owing. "Sorry, system error." They said one was last year's trip. They have lied, stole, and disappointed. They say I can't cancel. But I am scared to go to Mexico with them now, when they can not be trusted. They gave me this PayDelay plan that breaks your payment in two so it be more flexible and gives you time to pay for the whole thing. Ok. The lady said the first payment would be on the 18 of Sep. Fine I paid for that. Then the next payment was supposed to be the 25 she said. So I went to deposit the money on the 24 so that they charge for a final time. When I check my email it says one of the bookings is cancelled because the payment was being charged on to my card by the 23 when this lady clearly said Sep 25.

So I called them, a lady picks up, she tolds me that the booking is nonrefundable so half of that paid trip just went out the window then she says my only option is to book again. And so I did coz I've had no choice since half the family had their rooms and another half didn't. Ok I told her "yes book me up again." And here it comeeesss... she says "sorry there no more room in this hotel." Over 400 dollars lost because we can't go there coz of the room shortage. There goes my wallet. Writing a positive review because everyone else here seems to complain. We did a 2-night getaway, and Bookit.com had a slightly better price PLUS they included daily food and drink credits for the resort! I was taken aback by all the negative reviews, but if you google "Hotwire.com reviews" or "Priceline.com reviews" (both VERY reliable sites), they are wildly negative as well. The bottom line: do your homework, people. Read the fine print. Read reviews on the hotel you are booking. Take screenshots of the terms & conditions if you feel nervous. If it says "no cancellations", don't get mad and leave negative reviews when you can't cancel without a penalty. Our experience with Bookit.com was great, and yours will be too if you only read and understand the details.

El Tukan is only a roach motel and not a resort as they portrait on website. Not a beach club either as the beach is about 8 blocks away and very dirty as it is a public beach and not a club. Getting back to the resort, this dump smells like urine and feces in every hallways and staircases. The rooms were smaller than a closet with no towels, no phone and no wifi (Bookit says "free wifi"). Mexico is very hot and air conditioner was broken and leaking in our luggage. Asked management to move us to another room but all the room are all the same and all below acceptable level. After several moves around this resort, we decided to settle in and contacted Bookit as they advertise as 100% satisfaction guarantee.

We sent an email on day of arrival 7/20/15 and we didn't receive a reply. We decided to contact them by phone on Monday morning 7/21/15 and after several hang ups and hours on the phone, we were told by a customer agent to check out and that she was going to move us at Dreams Buenaventura. We pay for a cab out of pocket and head to Dreams only to find out that there were no reservations under our names and that the last two rooms (we were traveling with another couple) were just booked by someone else.

Here we are at Dreams with no place to stay and it was getting late in the afternoon. Management at Dreams was nice enough to allow us to use the phone, internet and drink to make our plans. We're on the phone with Bookit for at least another 2 hours and were hang up. Called again and lasted another 1 1/2 hours only to be told that El Tukan resort never released the funds and therefore we could be accommodated. At the end we ended up making reservations thru Expedia.com and moved to a nearby resort at our own expense. We are now disputing the charges with our credit card company. WE will never use BookIt again and will make sure that anyone in the world that we know will NOT use this company again.

I booked a room from BookIt and the charge was going to be $536.47 and it would be charged to my credit card if I was satisfied with the amount. So I BOOKED IT and my conformation number came up. And the billing information... Well I was charged $667.47. So I called BookIt and told them my issue. Well they didn't care at all so I told them to cancel my reservation. They said it would be $25.00 plus the $19.95 cancellation fee. I explained that the amount that I agreed to and the amount charged wasn't the same. They said they couldn't do anything... NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE BOOKIT they are fraudulent in their pricing.

Do not use this online company. I researched all day before deciding on BookIt. My problem - I didn't research their reviews first. My $5000 credit line credit card was denied so I called. I was told by the representative that my billing zip code didn't match my address so he would help me book. He did and when it came to process he said I was declined again. I called my Discover card service center, they told me there was no problem with my card but I had 2 separate holds each for $658 for US Airways. So while on the phone with the Discover Card rep I asked the BookIt rep to give me the confirmation numbers so she could cancel these holds. He tells me there aren't any because the card did not process. UNBELIEVABLE!!! So my Discover Card rep has to call US Airways to get this removed. I'm still having problems with the hold on my card. NEVER AGAIN. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.

So I booked 2 rooms in Las Vegas. One for myself and my wife and 1 for my parents. My mom called me to let me know that my dad was not well and would not be able to travel. So I looked at my reservation confirmation and it stated I could cancel my room before a certain period and the cost would only be $19.95. When I called to cancel the "one" room, I was told that they would have to "modify" the reservation and cancel both rooms and re-book at the new more expensive rate! After waiting on hold for more than 25 minutes a supervisor explained this ridiculous scam to me and rather than give them any more of my time and money, I had them leave the reservation as it was. NEVER EVER use this company again. Oh, by the way... they're based in Florida which has some pretty lax business oversight. Beware!

All visitors to this website are advised to avoid this agency. The motivation to save on fares and room rates are the lure of this website. You soon realize the company has clever means of generating unjustified charges, simply unfair charges to generate revenues. I was double billed for a flight, paid twice the fare! When I tried to cancel I was told the fare is non-refundable, and my second charge would not be available for two weeks. After depleting your bank account and you have no funds to pay for the hotel, they charge you $25 for each time the payment is declined by your bank. So after being charged $100 in fees and you try to cancel they charge you another $20 to cancel your booking. It's a scam. Burned up 3 hrs of my time. The aggravation. Vacation ruined.

I waited over 30 minutes on hold, listening to the music and announcements. One of them suggested there might be a $25 agent's fee for calling (wait, they TOLD me to call....). I received three missed calls on my cell phone from BookIt.com, all on a holiday and within one minute of each other. I had never done business with this company before, so I called them back to find out what was going on. They told me that my number was associated with someone's vacation booking. The individual's name was unknown to me. I informed the customer service representative that the number was incorrect and requested that she remove me from the calling list. She said she had.

Later that evening, I missed another call from the same number. I called back and explained the situation again. The representative I reached was unable to help me. I requested to be transferred to a manager. I was on hold for a bit, and the person who picked up was not a manager. I requested, again, to speak to a manager. The individual refused and asked me to explain the situation. I did. She asked for my name, and I told her I was uncomfortable giving her that information, as my name would not be on any of their customer accounts. She became very rude and agitated at this point. I repeated my phone number, told her that it was an incorrect number for the person whose booking it was associated with, and requested to be taken off the calling list.

The representative put me on hold for a bit more, came back, and told me that was impossible. She said that only the person who had made the reservation could change the number, and my phone would continue to receive calls until that point. I asked to speak to a manager again and was put on hold for close to half an hour. Eventually I hung up, called back, and was immediately connected with yet another representative who was able to remove my number from the calling list.

Overall, I spent about an hour dealing with this situation. I never reached a manager despite multiple requests to be transferred to one, and I did not appreciate being told that this company would continue to place multiple calls to my cell phone until a stranger updated her contact records. I have never done business with this company before, and after dealing with their customer service department, I never will.

I called and was apologized to, it being their mistake that an error occurred and no money came through that week, so they needed me to pay now with a late fee. While on hold, I pulled up my bank record and had paid. I asked for a fax number so I could show proof that the money taken out of my account clearly said Bookit.com. I'm sorry I don't have the names in front of me when I came across this page. I was given a non-working fax #. So I called the hotel who said we had no outstanding charges. We were there one night.

Called Bookit back and said the hotel says we owe nothing. They said that it was because we paid them when you asked for a second night, which we did not do. They said since we paid it, you owe us. The hotel clerk agreed we were only there one night and gave me a signed letter. I finally got a manager who gave me a good fax number. An hour later, we got a call saying that the money owed was because I called back for tickets. I did call and ask if they had a deal on tickets, but said that we would get them at Ralph's Grocery store as they offered adult get in for child price. They then said that they charged us for those tickets as they had proof of my call. Kept my paper records and ignore their collection threats. If they sue us, I have those to back me up.

I WILL NEVER USE BOOKIT.COM AGAIN! They are LIARS and give you the run around! We booked a Cancun trip with BookIt for my daughter's 10th birthday. We were very excited. Our party consisted of my husband, daughter, myself, and my parents that also booked with BookIt. We booked with an agent named ** who was great and very helpful. We spoke numerous times and made our reservations to leave from Miami at 9:50 AM. All was great or so I thought!

So, we got to the airport at 7:30 AM and waited to be checked in. There was a flight for 9:50 AM however, when they scan our passports, they told us that our flight is scheduled for 9:50 PM!!! WTF! I immediately called BookIt and the waiting for a LIVE person to answer began (15 minutes to speak to someone). The FIRST person I spoke to, after telling her the situation, she informed me that "their flight dept" did not open till 11 AM. She reassured me that she would be calling them at 11 AM and that she would call me back with a update on a possible flight change. I also asked for rep #1 to speak to a manager and was on hold for one for 20 minutes and one never assisted me. I even called her again and asked to speak to her around 12 PM, she didn't answer so I left a message. Guess what, she never called! Still waiting!!!

So I called again, spoke to the SECOND person, I told her my situation again and wanted to speak to a manager due to rep #1 not calling me back. I informed her that I need to speak to the flight dept so guess what, she told me "our flight department doesn't open till 12 PM." Now I'm irate! Liars!!! Liars!!! Liars!!! All this while waiting at the airport with a 9-year old. Requested for rep 2 to get me a manager but never gets me a manager (they must not exist!) but tells me she sent their "flight dept" all our information for a flight change. She proceeds to tell me "I sent all the information to our flight department, they will call you in a few minutes..." (What is classified as a "few minutes," 5, 10, 15 minutes?). Well, an hour went by and NADA!

So I called them AGAIN!!! The THIRD person I spoke to. Again, I had to repeat everything again, telling her no one from the ** flight department has called me. She informed me that they sent it to American Airlines. (WHAT! American Airlines?!?!). My husband and I ran to AA and spoke to an agent while rep #3 was on my phone. Explained that they should be getting the information regarding our flight change. (Here's where I want to scream and scream) The AA agent tells us, to change flights, we need to pay per person, $750 new ticket plus change fee. My husband took over the call with rep #3 and basically, she said it's in the hands of the flight department.

After waking at 5 AM, all four adults missed a day from work and for what, to be lied to! I'm also losing out on a whole day in Mexico enjoying my daughter's upcoming birthday. Why would I choose to leave at night!!! We are all on our way back home at 3:30 PM after not hearing back from anyone, it's obvious that we will be taking the 9:50 PM flight BECAUSE NOBODY HAS BOTHERED TO FOLLOW UP WITH THIS SITUATION! What a wasted day of our vacation!!!

Upon checkout, I was told that I still owed money because all taxes had not been covered. There was 66.00 that was unaccounted for and the first BookIt rep told me that the hotel wasn't supposed to "disclose" the amount that BookIt paid them directly. Wow, all I can say is think before you book your flight with BookIt.com. I definitely got a good deal on my flights, but for good reason. The whole operation that they are running is shoddy. I booked a round trip flight a month ago form Boston to Moscow. The flight was through Lufthansa and I had one stop over in Frankfurt, both there and back. My travel plans changed and I needed to change my flight home to just be from Munich to Boston and on a different date.

I first called Lufthansa (I had called BookIt.com one time previously over confusion about my "E-ticket" that made me very nervous. Turns out you need to set up an account on Lufthansa to actually get your ticket that was booked through BookIt.com. BookIt.com customer service rep. was way less than pleasant or helpful so I figured I would just go through Lufthansa directly from there on out with any questions) and Lufthansa told me that they did not have the ability to change my flight because BookIt.com owned the control of my flights, and to call them.

I called Bookit.com and they told me "No, you need to call Lufthansa - talk to a supervisor! They are in charge of changing it, and tell 'em you booked your flight through Google Flights, it's a new thing, they are all confused over there!" So I called Lufthansa back, and they told me "no, ma'am, Bookit.com literally has control over your ticket. We cannot do anything until you are in route, then you could call the airport and have them change it." Mind you my flight is still 9 days out. But regardless, I called Bookit.com back again and told them my story and the guy told me he had never even heard of Lufthansa? What?

Okay. Weird thing to tell me, but regardless he told me he could cancel all of my flights (even the ones out to Moscow) and try and rebook them (probably would be more expensive and not the same exact flights) and that might work. Okay that might work? I told him no, because I have a domestic flight in Russia that I am trying to make on my way out there and I cannot miss it.

He tried to show me sympathy but really I could tell that he didn't care less, and he was talking to me like a baby. It is slightly ridiculous and I think that Bookit.com needs to get their ish together, and figure out how things work. If you can't fix my flight figure out a way to allow Lufthansa to do it - they actually know what they are doing. Or let me keep my flight out there and give me a refund for the flight home and I'll figure it out on my own! I will not ever book through them again.

This is the second time I have had trouble with their bookings. Will never ever use them again and would highly recommend no one use them for anything. Worthless thieving company.

We booked a family vacation for this summer for 9 people in excess of $10,000. We were travelling to Puerto Vallarta. The US has issued a travel advisory for Puerto Vallarta and cruise ships have also stopped traveling to the area. Yet they and united airlines would like to charge us each $250 to change our flights. This seem highly unethical and borderline illegal! DO NOT USE THIS BOOKING AGENT.

I regretfully used bookit.com to make my honeymoon reservations. Their advertisement is tricky. They post cheaper prices based on one person, even though you are looking for two people. I booked a $10 p/day car rental, when I arrived to Cancun the real price with insurance was $50 per day. I also paid around $1,350 for 3 night stay, 2 people, at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. When my wife and I got there the reservation was made for one. I called and the bookit representative couldn't care less. After two hours on the phone, pretty much he told me it was my fault and the only solution was paying extra, which I did. $225 more. I couldn't booked the stay with Orbitz for $1,500. Same thing happen with a hotel I stayed at Playa del Carmen.

I had to call and spoke with another representative who actually helped me to change the reservation for two. I had to pay extra again, and spend hours on the phone. To make things worse, my room were all double beds. I added a note that it was a honeymoon, but bookit didn't care. They only wanted more money. I will write their CEO a letter, but in the meantime I will tell my friends and acquaintances to stay away from this awful travel agency.

Then they're telling me because it over 24 hour limit I can't cancel the air flight. So they wanna send me to a different place now going from 4 and half star hotel to 3 star that was nothing like the place I was planning on going. I call the hotel to see what's going on they telling me BookIt never booked my room. So at the last minute now they're telling me I have no room so I had to cancel my trip 6 hours before I was leaving.

This is the worst company ever. They did not even try to help. All they wanted is to push me in somewhere I did not wanna go. And because they contacted me 6 hours before my flight they are saying it was past the 24 hour for canceling and they won't give me a full refund. Please do not use these people for nothing. They ruined my trip, also lost ton of money between this and work.

I called to find out pricing for my trip to Orlando. Me and my partner was both on the phone. I was at work. I'm a USPS city carrier so the lady was checking flight that worked with my time. She found one. A Monday at 7pm which I told her I wasn't sure if I can make that time. I need to speak to my supervisor. She us we can book and call back if we need to change it. I asked her, "will there be a charge." She said "I'm going to give you my line and it won't be a charge."

So I felt comfortable so I booked. When I found out I was off that day I called her to change the flight. Her line didn't work. I contact someone else. They tell me it's nothing they can do. It will cost 700 to change. I ask to speak to a supervisor. I was on hold for an hour. She came on and said she's sorry but it's terms. I explained to her I understand that but I would like someone to listen to the conversation and hear her say she can change it with no problem.

After she heard my partner say "let's call back later," the supervisor said she’ll have someone review the tape and in 5 days someone will contact me. Almost two weeks later past I called them. I was told "it's still under review." The next morning I got an email saying it's nothing they can do!!! I'm disgusted. It's non refundable. I'm stuck and feel so cheated I would tell anybody never book through them.

I have booked through BookIt several times and all experiences have been OK to say the least, except for this most recent experience, I must say I had the WORST experience EVER! BE WARNED! I booked the day of my vacation (yes it was the same day) but I never thought I would experience the WORST day of my life.

My family and I including 3 kids my husband and myself booked through a double bedroom at Radisson Orlando Celebration. When BookIt.com showed available rooms in the early afternoon, I received a confirmation email that my booking was confirmed. I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm when I was told there was nothing in the hotel's system with a reservation by our name because BookIt had never faxed over the reservation. After the hotel spent several minutes trying to look up the name nothing was coming up, so I was told to contact BookIt to have them fax over the booking reservation.

After I contacted BookIt I spoke to ** which was very helpful in trying to fax over my reservation and finally emailed it over. At this time it was around 12:30 am after several fax attempts and 2 emails I was told by the hotel that they received my reservation but it was too late because they did not have my room type available. The only room available was a sofa bed room at this time. It was 2 am. So I contacted BookIt again and spoke to ** which was helpful but could only offer me a full refund at 2 am because now it was Saturday and the check-in times at hotels would be after 4 pm.

I explained everything in the area I was in was sold out and a refund is no good to me. I should have been able to trust that my reservation with BookIt was good. So ** told me that with a refund I could go and rent somewhere else, correct with a refund that takes 24 hours to 10 days. WONDERFUL! But that was useless to me last night. I requested to speak to a supervisor who only apologized and offered a refund.

HORRIBLE NIGHT EVER! And I plan on making it known. I have referred many customers to BookIt as I vacation a lot and this will never happen again because I will NEVER book through BookIt again. I even asked to find me another hotel in the system and was told they could not do that because it was Saturday at 2 am, no kidding tell me that I am the one having to find something at 2 am. Hope this never happens to anyone.

Same day booking should not be allowed, I went on at 3:30 am and BookIt still showed available rooms at Radisson, the same hotel I am being told by that they are sold out and yet BookIt.com is still trying to get people's money for the weekend when the hotel stated they were sold out. Very wrong. I guess they like to make people arrive at their hotel, travel all the miles to arrive and waste their time. Horrible. Even if you save use another website not them!

This was a Christmas trip Booked in Dec for Apr of this year. Trip to Haciendas Tres Rios in Mexico Riviera Maya. Manager who promised all was fixed **. My wife and I have left several messages for this man upon our return from our disappointment and there has been NO RETURNED CALL OR EMAIL TRYING TO FIX THIS Situation Below!!! Very Unprofessional. I'm reaching out for the owner Arthur Bud Finlaw to make this right now! Customer service needs an overhaul. We were hung up on so much it would make you sick, stressed out! Please read my story.

I Booked my vacation to the Hacienda Tres Rios back in Dec 2014. My Wife found this smoking deal at this resort for 2 free kids and we could book 1 adult (without any extra Fee/penalty for the second adult) per room. We have 4 children all 12 and under, so of course we booked 2 ROOMS, 1 adult and 2 kids per room. We used www.bookit.com, paid for the all inclusive resort and received our 2 room booking confirmations a few days later. So I presented this package to the kids as it's their Christmas Present from mom and dad to them... We take the kids away every Christmas instead of wasting money on toys and stuff they don't really need.

So all is well up until about a month prior to departure, My Wife and I decided to bring a friend with us (A Nanny), so we called BookIt to have her added to one of our rooms. Rooms will hold 5 people each and seeing we only had 3 in each room, this shouldn't be an issue. NOT!! We were unable to add her through the site. So I called BookIt and asked them to help me get her listed even though it would cost me an extra $25 to do it. Well, Well, BookIt was unable to do it as well, and couldn't figure out why, so BookIT advised me to call the Haciendas Tres Rios hotel directly and have my extra person added.

OK... So here is where things go bad. I called and talked to a representative of the Haciendas Tres Rios and advised her that I'd like to add a person. The Representative quickly came back and advise that she wouldn't be able to do so as the room is already overbooked??? I quickly advised her that I have 2 rooms and neither one is at a full capacity, in which she quickly advised me that they (Haciendas Tres Rios) put me and all my family in one room only?? No calls to BookIt or to me advising of this. They said since we got a great deal and we were one family they decided on their own to jam us all into one room...

Now I'm sitting on the other side of the phone with 2 confirmed room booking... So after an 1 hour of arguing and the Haciendas blaming BookIt for the problem, I'm back on the phone with BookIt. It's BookIt's responsibility to make the situation right so my focus was on BookIt. I eventually ended up dealing with the manager ** at BookIt to have this resolved. BookIt was surprised as well since their department actually confirmed still 2 ROOMS??? The Haciendas had a footnote in their system to put us in 1 room only. Very misleading info was given from the hotel to BookIt. Sold out is what was said??? But We paid BookiIt for 2 Rooms.

The Hotel had no interest in fixing it and advised they would send us down to their sister resort?? Like what???? This Haciendas is 4.5 star and you want to send me to a 3 star??? Like wow, Just because I purchased a smoking deal they're trying to take my rooms. So after about 10 days of going back and forth with Book IT ** (Manager) tells us that the hotel and BookIt have finally got our original 2 rooms back that for sure they are guaranteed and all is good for when we show up. Promise there will be no issues.

So We fly 6.5 hrs to get to Cancun and jump on a private bus and head to the Haciendas, Upon Check in...and You guessed it!!!! I didn't have 2 rooms. Actually I didn't have NO rooms. So you can just imagine how nice I would be standing in a lobby with 7 people and being told "sorry!" So My first day was in the lobby arguing with the manager about my rooms. After forever the manager at the Haciendas said she would be able to put us up for 2 days while we straighten everything out with Book It and themselves. So first day is wiped out, 2nd day start had a great breakfast and went to the pool for a while, then back to the argument.

I advised the front desk that I would be back at supper time and this better be resolved. So 2nd day we didn't even unpack as we knew we we're leaving. Stress level through the roof!!! So at supper time 2nd day we find out that we can stay for the rest of the 5 days we had booked as BookIt had cancelations!!? If that's true or not who knows.

Now out of 7 days I have 2 ruined days. So day 3 we stay at the Hotel and enjoy all that it has to offer, and yes we unpacked. My Hope is that Bud Finlaw will credit me with my next trip with the 2 free days off my next vacation booked wherever to make this right. I've been a client of Book It for many many years, taking up to 3 trips a year.

Reserved and paid for flights & rooms, flights had more stops than I booked, arrived in Mexico - resort had no rooms for us. BookIt refused to resolve. Upon arriving to Sunset Royal Beach Resort on February 19, 2015. Our group was informed that none of the Hotel confirmations (4 separate rooms) booked on BookIt.com in Nov. 2014 was on file at their resort. Sunset Royal informed us they had not received any funds for our rooms. They informed us that ** was the person that Sunset Royal typically deals with at BookIt.com and that she had not followed through with our reservations to secure our rooms. I have an email confirming my reservation dated Nov. 24, 2014.

Sunset Royal called BookIt on our behalf, our group also was calling for assistance. BookIt was no help. We were told "We are sorry, you should be able to give the resort your confirmation papers and the rooms should be available." Our reply was "That's a fine concept, but our entire group (of 9) has flown all the way across the US, and we are standing in the lobby of the Sunset Royal Beach Resort and that is not true." A member of our group spoke directly with ** who confirmed she did not follow through with the reservation confirmations and admitted to dropping the ball. She was very rude and we were disconnected several times.

Our first day in Cancun was spent disputing this nightmare with the management of Sunset Royal Beach Resort. As BookIt offered no resolve for us at this time, we had to plead with Sunset Royal to provide us with a room as we had a large group that had flown across the US expecting rooms that BookIt had promised us. Sunset Royal informed us they had NO rooms to provide us even though we paid in full for 4 rooms through BookIt at this location in Nov 2014. We had researched months in advance before selecting Sunset Royal Beach Resort. The Sunset Royal location had the amenities that our group required such as elevator to our room and in close walking distance to the area we wanted to be. In our group we had an elderly man and a man with a recent hip replacement.

Sunset Royal first offered to transfer us 1 hour away from Sunset Royal to another resort that did have rooms available, we absolutely denied it. This was a complete fearful experience being in a foreign country for the first time and having deal with the thought of not having a place to stay. Sunset Royal finally offered us three rooms at their sister resort down in the marina - no means walking distance to anything. We had no choice but to accept in order to not sleep on the beach as they told us that was all that was available. Our hands were tied. We were at the mercy of Mexico and Sunset Royal to provide us with a room and food as this trip was All Inclusive - we did not bring that kind of cash with us. Two couples had to share a room. We told ** we did not want to share a room, we reserved 4 rooms not 3.. She told us to deal with it, that's all she had. (Very rude once again and no help.)

The ratings of the property location are inconsequential and have no bearing on the situation we were put in. I filed a complaint with the BBB on 3/17/2015. Speaking with ** from BookIt on 4/2/2015 I was informed they were working on compensation with the resort. Still playing the blame game. I spoke with ** from BookIt today 4/13/15. I informed her then, I am not happy with this at all. I feel they are prolonging it hoping I will just forget. That is not going to happen, this is now been going on about 2 months with no ending. Again BookIt is blaming the Resort and the Resort is blaming BookIt.

I really don't care who dropped the ball on this - all I know is I trusted, paid and booked my vacation through BookIt. I did not get the vacation I booked and paid for. I gave BookIt my money ($1800.00) not the Resort. BookIt needs to take responsibility and compensate me. If they feel the Resort is in the wrong then they can get their money back from the Resort. This needs to be resolved immediately. We never got any compensation for our miserable vacation.

When we tried to cancel the reservations we were informed that they already billed and we were forced to be cooked up in the tiny/dirty room the entire stay. More than that, the hotel charged another $200.00 for the 2 extra people. At the end we paid $299.00 for a low end hotel room. We could have stay at a luxury rental for the same amount!! Warning - Bookit.com did NOT book my hotel stay in Vegas with the hotel and I booked the reservation months prior to the stay. Several days prior I called the hotel to 'check' on my reservation and they did not have a reservation for me. I then called BookIt.com and their customer service rep ** said that she was faxing the hotel and emailing them. A few days before I had a bad feeling and called the hotel to make sure it was there... NOPE no reservation and they never received the fax nor an email. The HOTEL Reservation Manager had to Log onto Bookit.com and with my confirmation number verify that I actually did reserve. This is apparently, from what I am reading online, common practice. Bookit.com is PAID to reserve... it is fraudulent if they do not do what they contracted to do.

ALSO, we booked an activity to shop and dine... when we went to the Venetian to get our bag and items we paid for... there were no shopping bags full of things, coupons and a $25 gift card. We had to wait and run around to different managers for 2 hrs. They hurried and put bags together but I am sure they were NOT what we paid for. BookIt.com will not take ANY ownership in their incompetence. I have requested a partial refund and they will not. Beware - you are not getting what you paid for and you might have to do THEIR job for them.

This is not my first issue with Bookit.com. Years back I booked a vacation to Cancun... again issues with Bookit.com not booking correctly. We paid for an ocean view room and did not get it. Our spring break vacation was booked in September 2014, on Feb 6 we were notified by the airlines our trip was cancelled. However, United was so kind to put us on an overnight flight and we would arrive the next day. SO we would miss an entire day at our All-Inclusive resort and we would PAY for a motel. (We had 2 rooms at our resort). I was on the phone from approx. 8 am til 6 pm (from 4 - 6 pm my husband was also on another line). We were told the flight was cancelled due to mechanical, the airport cancelled, to the last one was the airline forgot to figure in time change and our flight would no longer connect. There was a 4 am flight to arrive the same day but we were not placed on that. When we contacted BookIt.com, they said there was nothing they could do about it.

Upon finally making it to the resort, which we have stayed at 2 other times, Park Royal in Cozumel decided to not stop harass about timeshares, and they decided, since it was spring break to limit alcohol and not to give any shots. Not that we are big lushes but we were there to celebrate our 2 daughters from graduating from college and I think we should make that decision since we paid for all-inclusive. If resorts do not want drunk people around, stop serving them, don't serve under age, but to limit alcohol and close bars early is not fair for all who paid for an all-inclusive. I thought BookIt.com should be responsible to put a disclaimer and all companies if this is how Spring Break is going to be handled with resorts they are doing business with.

The last time we were there, this was not the situation. And one time was during spring break. When you use BookIt.com, just beware it is the run around game. If anything goes wrong rather with flight or resort, the one blames the other!!! I have a co-worker that had a similar situation -- buyer beware. In the confirmation page, I notice that I was charged $550 more than the previous screen said. Noting this mistake, I called BookIt... after several re-directs I was told that BookIt.com could not do anything until the resort's reservations office opened the next day. Noticeably irritated, I requested to speak to a supervisor. After 45 min on hold, I was hung up on. I called back and demanded to speak immediately to a manager, after a brief hold, I was put on line with "**" who explained that the cost delta sometimes happens with airline bookings, but never with hotels and since I did not have an airline booking in my package, that I must have made a mistake and not the website. He said I would have been "redirected" if the rate had changed.

At this point, I was completely furious and explained to him that it was not my responsibility, but BookIt's to refund me the money. It would be their issue to take up with the hotel to get the money back. "**" said that this was impossible. He also said it was impossible to leave a note to have a BookIt employee call the hotel in the morning - that it was my responsibility. I informed him that I've already contacted my credit card company about disputing the charge. 1.5 hrs of calls and BookIt's customer service gave me no help whatsoever.

I've only had one e-mail address the whole time. We had to go to Westjet and buy two more tickets, over $1,100.00 more out of our pockets. Bookit will take no blame for this mix up, but did offer to give us $100.00 off our next booking. I think they should be remembered in the future as "DON'T BOOK IT."

I booked a trip to Cancun for my family in October 2014 to travel in March 2015. I had never used bookit.com and I should have read the reviews but I didn't. Unfortunately on the day of our trip there was an ice storm in Dallas where we live and American cancelled our flight. I was able to reschedule the flights but had to do it myself as bookit.com was no help and referred me back to the airline. I then called bookit.com to change the resort and after holding for an hour was told that they couldn't reach anyone at the resort to verify the change or the cancellation policy. I called the resort directly and within 10 minutes they were able to answer my questions. I called back bookit.com and this time around got a much better agent: **. She was wonderful but because of my overall experience I will never use bookit.com again and would warn others to proceed with caution.

My best friend is getting married in Cancun, Mexico and to help me save money on the trip she found a deal on Bookit.com for the exact resort and time of her wedding (May 2015). After talking with my parents the 3 of us decided that we should all go.... and that's when the nightmares started. We first booked my trip and it seemed fine. Then we booked the same trip for my parents and everything with theirs went through perfect. My flights unfortunately did not go through to the airline (US Air/American Airlines). So we had to book them again separately. The agent told me that I would see 2 separate billings on my credit card statement because of this - one for the hotel and one for the flights. When she booked the flights she got the travel dates wrong so my hotel was booked for May 3-10, 2015 but my flights were for March 3-10, 2015. So, she sent a cancellation and started over.

After my flights were booked for the right dates she re-processed my payment. Again, everything with the booking for my parents was okay. 3 weeks later I got my credit card statement and I had been charged the full price of the trip by Bookit.com plus the airline had charged me for the flights (like they were supposed to). I called Bookit.com and they said I needed to call the airline. Called the airline and they said everything is right on their end and to call Bookit.com. I called bookit.com back and waited on hold and waited and waited and waited..... only to be told that someone would call me back in a few days. NO ONE got back to me so I called Bookit.com again and was told that I indeed needed a refund and I would see that in 7-10 business days... I did get a refund but not for the same amount the airline charged me for my flights - it was for about $40.00 less.... and then the flight schedule changes started.

My parents got an email just the other day and they've changed the return trip and now the connecting flight to get us home from Calgary to Edmonton is scheduled to leave 2 hours BEFORE we are set to land on our flight in from DALLAS to CALGARY. Once again Bookit.com says to call the airline so my mom waits on hold with the airline for over 2 hours only to be told that they can't fix it - they did everything they could to search for a better connection and were very helpful but could not find anything to fix the situation for my parents' flights. So my mom made plans to call Bookit.com today to get the problem with their flights sorted out and then I get an email about my flights and Bookit.com has done the SAME THING to me and has accepted the schedule change on my behalf (How very kind of them)!!!

I have no idea how this will come out in the end because my mom is still in the process of making that call back to Bookit.com but, based on the experiences all 3 of us have had so far, I would not EVER recommend using them for any reason. Between all the phone calls and waiting on hold and all the running in circles we've had to deal with, it's really just not worth the effort. Use a local travel agent, you'll get better service.

I booked a trip last August to Punta Cana and had canceled my trip because I was going to Florida instead. I could not cancel my Jet Blue flight so I had a flight credit of 976.00 to use before 6/2015. I called BookIt on 2/22 to book a flight to Florida and I was told it would take 3-5 days to get confirmation and some one would contact me.

So finally today 3/2 8 days later I get a call that I have to pay $350.00 for the penalty with Jet blue to book my flight. So basically the flight credit I had has disappeared because I was now told I could not use the credit to pay for the cancellation. What robbery. So my flight from JFK to Tampa was now costing me $1326.00 when I booked it 7 weeks ahead of time. BookIt is robbing people blind. I was told when I book they would take the money out of my 976.00 credit but that was a bunch of bull. I will never use them again.

Last month I booked a room at Cardiff by the Sea in Encinitas, Ca. through BookIt.com for Valentine's Day this year. I received a confirmation from their site and my card was charged immediately just as the email stated. When we arrived at the hotel on Saturday, February 14, ready for our romantic evening by the sea, the hotel staff could not locate our reservation. When I handed her the confirmation papers she said that Bookit.com never sent them the reservation and of course being it was also a holiday weekend (President's Day) their hotel was completely booked. Their staff was so nice they even jumped online looking for a hotel for us caused by the mistake BookIt made.

After three phone calls to Bookit.com (and being hung up on once and being put on hold for over 30 minutes each time!) their reps kept calling the hotel to secure a room but the receptionist kept telling them there was no room available anywhere for 100 miles unless we wanted to pay $500-$600 a night. She told Bookit.com that it was their error and not the hotel's and that Bookit should be finding us a room for ANY cost and securing it. The Bookit rep even admitted to the hotel staff they forgot to forward the reservation and then sent it while we were standing there, and also faxed them another sheet stating the reservation was canceled by the Traveler, really? How can I cancel a reservation they never even made in the first place!!! We were over 400 miles from home and nowhere to sleep but our rental car which was a tiny convertible.

Bookit offered NO help to us whatsoever other than refunding our money which was the least of my worries. We needed a place to stay and could find nothing anywhere. Needless to say their company owes us big time since their inability to send the reservation to the hotel was apparently too much to ask! We will NEVER use their company again and I have freely told all my friends and family about their error and the mess they created on what should have been a very special night. I also book all of the corporate travel through Bookit but you lost that account also because I can't chance a member of my board showing up at a hotel and having no place to stay. Your customer service sucks to put it politely yet I know you will read this and dump it without anything happening. I will go on every site I can find and let people know what you did, or rather what you didn't do.

Then she told me that there was not available rooms for this date and I told her that void the booking and she told me that would not give my money back. I asked to speak with supervisor, I talk to him and explain what happened and told me they were going to review the call. This takes 1 to 3 days to have an answer for me. They will to contact through email or they will call me which never happened. Wait and call them again and told me that the call was very clear and they are not giving my money back. I asked the number of corporate and gave me the same for customer service and talk with another person and nothing - the same said the call was clear.

Well I hope and manager hotel may read these reviews because it affects also their companies and I will speak with some people that I know, they work in corporate. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. I tried booking a trip for my family to Disney. After noticing the wrong date on my booking confirmation, I immediately called them to fix the problem. The person I spoke with on the phone told me I could not change the date but I had to cancel and rebook. Upon canceling she advised me I had to pay $19.95 for cancellation. I thought that was ridiculous given the fact that it was not even 20 min since I booked but paid.

At the end of the conversation she advised me that I would be getting a full refund minus the $19.95 which was fine. She then calls me back half an hour later and tells me she cannot give me back a full refund because the round trip transfer to hotel/airport are non-returnable and either were the Disney tickets. So now we are being told that we cannot be refunded back about $1600.00. I then immediately requested to speak with her supervisor and after waiting on hold for him/her to get on the representative, hung up on me!!! BookIt is absolutely the worst company and I will never use them again.

I’ve asked to speak with a supervisor on several occasions but that only meant being on hold for 45 minutes and the call suddenly dropping. The closer it got to the traveling dates the lazier the customer reps were.

We were told last that the flights were non-transferable and that we had no choice but to be refunded or change the destination. We ended up canceling the honeymoon plans and were told we would receive a refund for the hotel and a partial refund for the flight credit that takes 7-10 business days. Once we realized on the 9th day that a refund wasn’t received they told us it was too late and everything has been canceled. We lost $1000 in flight credit because of the poor customer service. I did not see any reason I would need to cancel. We found out that the day our cruise is to leave from Texas, our nephew is getting married in Canada. I called Book It to cancel knowing I had to pay the fee. I wanted to make sure they had ample time to sell our suite to someone else. Our receipt showed that if there are more than 61 days prior to the cruise, we would not incur a penalty other than the $100. There are 186 days until the ship sails. They said we booked an early saver cruise which does not entitle us to any refund. I have been fighting with them for over an hour. I finally just told them to send me an email showing it's cancelled and that nothing else will be charged.

They can keep my money and I will never use them again nor Carnival Cruise Lines as they stated "It is Carnival's policy to not issue the refund." My receipt does say early savers get no refund in small print, along with many others that get no refund, but we thought we were buying a full rate. How does the average person know there is no refund if they don't know they are buying early saver? As you check out, it should come up, there will be no refund for you if you cancel since you are buying early saver.

Booked at trip (flight, car, hotel) on BookIt 1/16/15. Paid in full. Received paid in full confirmations from BookIt all 3 flight, car, hotel over the next couple days. The nightmare started 1/22/15 when I received an e-mail and phone call from a BookIt supervisor that I had to pay $187 more for the paid in full confirmed trip because of the hotel??? I told firmly NO and questioned if this was even legal to do?? Things went downhill quick and they put me through so much! 1/29/15 I get an phone call and e-mail from the same BookIt supervisor demanding this money or they will cancel my trip! I was in panic mode!! How can they extort me like this?? I called the hotel and a supervisor there states "we never charge more or request more than the charges BookIt charges" (remember I have paid in full confirmations!!). So the hotel was going to look into it.

I get a call from the BookIt Supervisor on Monday 2/1/15. She states "I have a solution that's going to save you $207 for all the aggravation we've caused you. We can get you the same hotel room for $207 dollars less (she was throwing around all kinds of costs and numbers) but we have to cancel the 1st confirmed hotel reservation and rebook it... do you agree to do this?" I said, "Yes as long as I'm going to be saving money that's fine." Then I asked for a complete breakdown of my bill showing the $207 dollars off my bill for all the aggravation. She says I can't do that. I asked "Why? It's my money and have a right to a receipt!" She says I just can't!!

Well that got me thinking what's really going on here?? So I wrote an email receipt to the BookIt supervisor and hotel supervisor of what the resolution was and how I understood I should see a $207 credit off my paid in full bill! Didn't hear anything back so I followed up with resending the e-mail the next day 2/2/15. The BookIt supervisor called me! Surprise surprise she told me that's not how it works. That I wouldn't see a credit on my total bill of $207 because I had owed the $187 (which I never owed in the first place) and because I agreed to re-book I wasn't getting any credit!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! It was horrible!

I said "THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAID OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!" She was talking all this fancy financing with my trip! I said, "But the hotel stated they do not charge any more money then what BookIt priced it at, remember??" She now states it was a computer glitch that caused the the extra charges, not the hotel!! More lies! Also halfway through this conversation she tells me I'm being recorded!!!

I was fuming and said it's illegal to record anybody unless you tell them 1st!! I was so done I told her to cancel my trip! Then she says "You can't get your airline money back of $352 if you cancel your airline reservation!" So I tell her to leave the airline reservation and cancel the hotel and car and reimburse my card for them!! She be-grudgingly agrees! I tell them not to call me again! Guess what -another supervisor from BookIt calls back 15" later and she's even worse with the financial finagling than the original BookIt supervisor!! So I told her the same exact statement "KEEP MY AIRLINE RESERVATION AND CANCEL MY HOTEL AND CAR!!" And hung up!!

It gets even worse. This BookIt supervisor not only cancelled my hotel and car but my un-refundable airline ticket as well! I send an email back that I never requested my airline ticket to be cancelled just the hotel and car! I hear nothing so I call the airline and explain my whole circumstance and spoke with a supervisor there! No luck, can't help me but would like me to send the canceled airline email from Bookit to their corporate offices so they can look into the cancelled statement because what BookIt states in the email is incorrect!!

Now, I'm not only out my trip but the $352 airline ticket prices for all this aggravation! I'm heartsick over it because I haven't had a vacation in a long time and I just went through a year and a half medical treatments with my brother and was going to visit my family. My credit card company couldn't believe my story and is disputing the charges!! None of this had to happen if BookIt hadn't demanded the extra $187 dollars a week after a confirmed paid in full trip was booked!! At least it all recorded right? And I have all this documented.

Please DO NOT use BookIt.com for anything. In early December, I, through BookIt.com, booked a trip to St. Croix for 1/28/15 ~ 1/31/15. A blizzard was expected to hit Connecticut (departure site) and dump three feet of snow there on the day of my departure. My travelling companion, meanwhile, booked her flight (same flight) independently through American Airlines. In anticipation of having our flight cancelled, we elected to move up our departure date to 1/27/15. I thought this would be an easy fix as I had verified the availability of a suitable flight on the earlier departure date. I called BookIt.com and made my request with the full expectation that I would pay a fee for this change. Meanwhile, my friend had no problem changing her flight directly through American Airlines. Instead, I began the single most frustrating and unsatisfactory dealing that I ever had with any business entity.

Bookit.com informed me that I needed to call US Airways (merging with American) to change my flight. When I did, US Airways told me that I had to call Bookit.com because they put a "code" on my reservation that only allowed them to make the change. I did then as I was instructed to do. BookIt.com then again redirected me back to US Airways. Over the course of the next unexaggerated 8 EIGHT HOURS, each company assigned the blame to the other. US Airways agreed to hold a seat for me on the alternate flight but would not complete my booking. I waited hours on the phone with BookIt.com while they said they would remedy the situation. Promises of a return call went unmet for hours. After 8 hours and still without a reservation, BookIt.com called me and stated that I would have to resume my attempt to resolve the matter TOMORROW!

I asked the Bookit.com representative how I was supposed to plan for a trip without knowing if it could materialize at all. I reminded him that the point of the change was to beat the blizzard's arrival. He suggested essentially that I work the phones from the airport and wait there in the hopes of getting on the new flight. I was flabbergasted and upset. After 8 hours, I was forced to cancel my entire trip. To add insult to injury, BookIt.com assessed me a $19.95 fee to cancel the trip that they ruined. PLEASE DO NOT subject yourselves to this misery. It was easily the worst customer service and business practice that I have endured.

I booked a Hawaii trip at what appeared to be a good price. Everything went smoothly but I specifically clicked on the BUY button for the best package which was advertised to include breakfast buffet for two each morning. I booked three months in advance and sadly after booking, I never really scrutinized the itinerary until arrival. Everything went smoothly until the hotel said I did not purchase the breakfast package. That was about a $200 add on. I clearly paid the higher price for the package but nothing on the itinerary other than the higher price would indicate I should have had the breakfast.

I called Bookit.com live and they told me that my itinerary did not show breakfast. I explained that I know that now but if you look at the price I paid you can clearly see I paid the higher price that is even advertised currently on your site. They would not look any further and said I must have purchased the wrong package that did NOT include breakfast. I realize I am also at fault for not scrutinizing the itinerary when it was booked but I basically wasted $200 booking a package deal I did not receive.

But it seemed to me that they should be able to easily go back and look at their pricing at the time I booked and verify that I paid a price that should have included the breakfast package and either fix the problem with the hotel or refund the difference. With this $200 effective overcharge, I would have been better off booking the package with United Airlines Vacations, which was only slightly higher priced for the base package but did not have a breakfast option.

Overall I will say that the Bookit.com experience went smoothly and if I had booked the base package the price would have been excellent. But their customer service was awful because they simply looked at the itinerary and said I booked the wrong option. In reality, I believe there is a glitch in their booking system and when I hit purchase on the correct package it directed me to the wrong package which I unwittingly booked not realizing the breakfast option disappeared but the price stayed the same. So disappointed and out about $200.

A few minutes later my research online showed the ONE good review was posted on the Book It site and other reviews by Travel Advisory and Yelp were terrible. I called to find out my options and was told if I could find another hotel they offered I would not be charged the cancellation fee.

I found a decent hotel and my research showed that Expedia had beat Book It's price by $100. Since they have a price match guarantee I called to change my reservation and have them match the price. I was put on hold, disconnected twice and was on the phone for well over an hour to discover they found some loophole NOT to match the price. When I cancelled the reservation they still charged me the $19.95 fee to boot. The representative I spoke with was located in Jamaica. Good thing I had already booked with Expedia and had a NO COST cancellation fee so I still got the good deal in spite of the feeble response from Book It. Worse site ever! Charged my credit card 3 transactions AND ONLY 1 of them was an authorized transaction! One of the unauthorized transactions was for $1211.98! After an hour on the phone, finally told me "oh, sorry it was an error, we'll issue refund." Few hours later, after no refund received, called again & spent another hour on the phone, had to explain everything all over again & agent couldn't find any history of previous conversation! Refused to transfer me to supervisor/manager, said they were all in the meeting! Refused to give me their direct lines or emails, said she had too many managers. Finally gave me extension # of one of her managers & a wrong # to call. LOL, so I couldn't reach a manager anyway! Finally after me (up to this point I was actually polite and very calm!) screaming at her, she said they processed a refund. Called my bank, refund processed. After all the stress & headache, I figured least they can do is some sort of apology & upgrade.

Called again & straight out requested to speak with manager. Again, refused to transfer the call but I just kept saying same thing over & over. Transferred the call. Manager (Jeffrey something) straight out told me he will not upgrade anything or do anything at all for me. And actually said that it's not a big deal that they basically fraudulently ran my credit card 2 times & it happens &, "oh well, we said we were sorry". Yep.. Literally lol. DO NOT USE THIS SITE FOR ANYTHING! They do flights, hotels, car rentals, events tickets, etc. I have never seen such horrible customer service in my entire life.

Book It told me any changes had to be made through the airline. I called and the only flight I could get was out of LAX instead of SMF. Without this change I would have been stuck in Mexico losing at least a day of my trip. I changed the trip because Book It told me I HAD to deal with the airline. SO (BTW there are 4 of us going), now it is going to cost us an additional $600 to get us to LAX that we have to pay. Book It is refusing to honor the contract we made with them. Additionally, I even just asked if they could throw in airport transfers for us. They said they did not have the "authorization to do that." What a load of crap!!! Since we had assumed that we had a room, I called the customer service and was told that "no there were no rooms booked and by the way, those rooms were no longer available." The rep could not locate what we had done online. However they knew that we had been there. I then asked for a comparable hotel at the same price and she proceeded to offer neither. While we are not out financially, it is extremely frustrating when with all of the technology, they only keep info in order to upsell not to fix Internet glitches.

I've read some other complaints of BookIt.com customers, and so far, my experience is much less damaging to my bank account. But still, I think they are thieves. Here's my experience:

I booked a hotel stay through BookIt.com last week (first week of December, 2014). I decided to cancel today because when I contacted the hotel this morning where the reservations were being made, they still had no record of me (it's been 3 days since I booked through BookIt.com). I decided to not risk having NOTHING in the end, and booked directly with the hotel. I got exactly what I wanted, and for not much more, by the way! I understand the $19 cancellation fee BookIt.com's charging me. I knew that upfront. What DID surprise me was that the customer service woman I spoke with on the phone, in a very unfriendly and uncaring tone of voice, by the way, informed me after I questioned her specifically that yes, I will have the $19 charge, PLUS they are tacking on a $25 charge. WHAT?! I had NOT read about or seen anything on BookIt.com's website about a random additional $25 cancellation fee. If it is there in some fine print somewhere, it's well-hidden, in my opinion. Highway Robbery.

I will NEVER use BookIt.com in the future. I should have read these reviews before I tried them out. Would have saved me the extra $25 dollars I was additionally charged, just because they felt like collecting a little more from me before I said my final goodbye to them. GOODBYE BookIt.com. Very unethical company. You're a huge disappointment.

I went to booking.com to book a hotel in the Riverwalk area of San Antonio. They were promoting a "mystery" hotel in the downtown/riverwalk area at a fair rate. I clicked on the BOLD link which stated Downtown/Riverwalk area and then choose the room type. I read the fine print that what I was booking was non refundable. Not worried that I was going to cancel my trip, I booked the room. After booking the hotel and address were revealed. To my surprise this hotel is NOT in the riverwalk area and is on the outer fringe of downtown San Antonio.

When I called bookit.com to tell them that this had to be a mistake that a hotel 2.5 miles away from downtown/riverwalk area was booked as their mystery hotel, I was told it was no mistake. I asked how could it not be? In BOLD print their website listed this hotel in the downtown/riverwalk area and it most definitely is not. They told me several times, "It's only 10 to 15 mins by car." I again stated that their listing for this hotel's area was misleading. I requested to be moved to a hotel that is actually in that area and they said they could do a new reservation but could not apply what I had already paid. That if I did not use the reservation I had made, then I was out the amount paid as it was non refundable. So I am out $326.97 due to their false and misleading description of the location of this hotel.

I was informed that the vouchers were gone, now that they are over a year old. I just spoke to someone in September over there, a year and one month from when I booked the tickets, and no mention of a deadline was made.

NOW I HAVE LOST $1,100. They gave my wife and I the runaround on two separate occasions, wasting our time as well. I hate BookIt for stealing $1,100 from me and not doing anything in the way of customer service, no vouchers, no transfer of balance, no nothing. That's not right. After paying for our vacation on Bookit.com and having traveled across the continent, upon arriving at the hotel we discovered that the hotel had hidden a $1200 dollar charge in the fine print at the bottom of the "contract" in their terms and conditions section. That is, they expected us to pay this amount in addition to the amount advertised on Bookit.com. Their excuse was that our kids, 14 and 15, were over 13 years old. Plainly, this is a deceptive bait and switch practice by the hotel. We had already stated our children's age at Bookit.com, and when comparing the various deals there, you're not supposed to have to parse the fine print for every listing: that would defeat the purpose of the site. Bookit.com states you may incur "incidental" charges at a hotel, but one's age cannot be interpreted as an incidental.

It's arguably also Bookit.com's fault for accepting such a fraudulent listing; however they probably did not parse the fine print of the hotel's listing either. I am following up with that web site also, but ultimately they too suffer in reputation and goodwill from such deceptive practices on the hotel's part. This is maybe the 4th time I've purchased a vacation deal via their web site and had never experienced anything like this before.

My wife and I booked a trip to Maui in May for a week in August. We realized a week before our trip that we would have a 4 hour lay over in Seattle and not get there till almost 9 that evening Maui time. Unfortunately there was no direct flights going there listed on our choices at the time. After calling Alaska Airlines we found there are 2 direct flights a day to Maui from Portland and there were 2 seats available for the day we were to leave. On our itinerary from BookIt there is an option of changing flights but we would have to call the airline directly.

After attempting to change to a better flight, the airline informed me that since we went through an online travel agent we would have to make the change through them. When I called BookIt back they said it was not possible for them to change flights. I was finally given my only option of cancelling the trip at a fee of $125 per person and rebook the whole trip.

After attempting once more to change flights with BookIt I asked to check the flight we wanted and was told there were no more seats. I had Alaska Airlines on the other line reaffirming that there were still 2 seats available. We are now worried that we may encounter more issues when we get to Maui. We called the hotel we will be staying at and they have no record of our impending stay.

I also discovered that the package deal does not have a breakdown of exactly what the price of the airline and the hotel; just a total price. With a little more research I found that if I booked the airline travel and hotel separately (with the option of making last minute changes) the total price would have been about $1500 less. After several attempts to find an answer for this I have come to the conclusion that this is the worst place to go for a vacation package. Do not use this site.

On sailing day I walked into my cabin and thought we had been booked into a room with a window because our balcony was enclosed. I called ** again who informed me there was nothing she could do on sailing day. She suggested I ask the front desk if there were any available cabins but of course our ship was completely booked. When it came time to settle our bill only a $25.00 onboard credit had been applied. I called book it from Victoria BC and spoke with another agent who told me I wasn't getting a $100.00 credit but a $50.00 dollar credit. She told me she was emailing ** and a supervisor right away. Never heard from anyone at book it.

I called ** the following day from the airport in Seattle. She claimed she never told me the onboard credit would $100 but I was entitled to the 50.00. A week and a half later, I finally got it straightened out but I was only getting a 30.00 dollar credit because of the way she booked the cruise. I made so much noise that book it refunded a $24.99 processing fee and another 20.00 to make up the 50.00 dollar difference. BIG DEAL!!! I will never use this company again. For future reference I'll either book on my own or go through another agency. This company is not trustworthy.

A couple months ago, we reserved a hotel in San Francisco and when we arrived, we were informed we did NOT have a room!!! We were STRANDED!!! The hotel and Bookit.com were both aware of the problem at 9am!!! But they did NOT think to call and inform us at all!!! Instead, we arrived at our hotel ready to check in and head to the concert we had tickets to, but instead had to sit on HOLD for an HOUR to even talk to anyone, then they preceded to put us on HOLD for another HOUR! Meanwhile, 2 other family with kids were in the same situation!!! San Francisco was totally busy that Saturday night!!! Every nice hotel was BOOKED!!!

We ended up having to book a room at a one-star hotel on our OWN for even more money than the 4-star we had booked through Bookit.com!!! Just imagine what a one star hotel is like in San Francisco!!!... Yes!!!... Cigarette holes in the sheets and plungers next to toilets... and who knows what kind of bugs we might have encountered!!! We FINALLY got a hold of an agent who refunded our booking and said she would talk with her supervisor regarding a credit... However, she NEVER called me back... even when I left her multiple messages!!! Then we finally decided to call one last time and NOBODY would get us a supervisor!!!... Instead we were placed back in the automated queue multiple times!! When we finally spoke to someone, they offered us a $50 credit ONLY if we released all liability for the the situation and would NOT be able to review them!!! This review was worth so much more than $50!... So we refused the credit!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

BookIt.com did not disclose refund policy and then upon cancellation issued unexpected refund "fee" of $300. BookIt.com totally scams buyers with a "No Refund" rule. Don't buy from them unless you are 1000% sure that all travel plans are going to work out (i.e., that you won't be needing to cancel for any reason, even a death in the family). The website functions off of a small team of employees who strictly read from scripts and cannot be expected to act professionally beyond what materials they are given. In fact, they become very rude and unethical with you, they flustered customer. If you cancel, let it be known that you will pay two nights for a vacation you will never see.

BookIt.com never mentioned to us that there was any kind of cancellation fees on the phone and went on to DENY this when we attempted to cancel our credit cards. They lie through their scamming teeth! Also, Goodbye hard work and vacation! It really hurts me as a human being and a nurse that I lost two days of work over this terrible company. I lost $300 for booking and then cancelling a 5 day trip to Mexico over the phone, ONE HOUR after booking. They will also charge you to cancel over the phone, so make sure if you really need to cancel, that you cancel via their scam ridden website. If you are lucky and cancel quickly after booking, the airline (which is not affiliated with BookIt, thankfully) will be full refunded. Do not expect any mercy from this business, they are a profit oriented contrivance that does not consider for any special conditions (whether it's in the form of a refund OR as special request-if you tell them it's a special birthday, forget it) that the customer may need. Do not expect any communication to pass between BookIt.com and the vacation vender to be received. I noticed this when we used the website before for a trip to DR, the vender had No Idea we even had a anniversary to celebrate.

This is strictly a one-time shop and pay without hopes of return (or any customer service) kind of business. I will never use this site again for "good" deals, they are comparable (at best) to other sites anyways, and they have lost a good customer for their crazy "policy" for life. I plan to use Expedia (who has never failed me and also has a reasonable customer return policy) for the rest of my trips requiring a flight. Overall, a terrible experience and terrible customer service from some totally rude and low class employees.

When I returned from my stay, I wrote to Bookit.com to let them know my experience and they emailed me and let me know that a member from their "resolution team" would contact me. A resolution team member contacted me to let me know that they would take my negative experience and use it as a tool. It was obvious that the "resolution member" was reading from a script. I felt as if they let me vent I was suppose to feel better. They also said that my experience would be "used as a tool". Seriously, a "resolution member" reading from a script is going to use my experience as a tool, LOL. Why even contact me? That isn't how a reputable company handles a resolution.

This is definitely a SCAM! I tried to cancel my Hotel reservation over a month before my Flight, they wanted to charge me one hotel night plus some other fees almost $200.00. They placed me on hold for over 20 mins. This call got "disconnected". Had to call back, talked to another agent who placed me on hold again (this time for 15 min) and conveniently they called the hotel and tried to have them waived the fees for me. Yeah right. They cannot obviously waived the $25.00 cancellation fee. I don't have the option to pay it online because I cannot have the hotel fees refund. Thousands of customer paying everyday $25.00, it is a very good profit. This company should be SHOT DOWN!!! TERMINATED! Not once but twice I have been fooled. In July 2013 and again June 2014. In 2013 I booked what Booklt called a resort hotel. When I neared the resort my GPS kept directing met words a dead end. I called the resort to confirm the address. The hotel said they address that matched mine with the exception of the state. I called Booklt and was told "whoops". They told me they made a mistake on their website. I asked how they planned on fixing the situation. They did not plan on helping me at all and worse would not return my money for up to 30 days. I explained I had four kids and two adults, two of the children where disabled and would require IV medication within the hour. They placed me on hold for over an hour. They said they rebooked me at a Ramada. Not at all a resort. I arrived an hour later at the address. The hotel was surrounded in barbed wire, shared parking lot with a gas satiation and an active drug deal happening.

I took video and sent it to Booklt. I once again called them, when I explained what happened they laughed. They rebooked me again at a Best Western 45 miles away. The hotel had no toilet seat and roaches. It was disgusting. They decided to give me a $75.00 credit and promised to call me with a formal apology (never happened). 2nd misguided adventure June 2014, I foolishly decided I would try and use that $75.00 credit. I booked once again a beach resort hotel. I received the confirmation only to see the dates were wrong. I called them back and spent 5 hours on the phone over two days. I called the resort directly and let them know the situation. Out of pure pity they called Booklt and begged them to refund my money. They did eventually and refused to give me the $75.00 credit back saying it was already used when I booked. The hotel told me that Booklt always caused issues for its customers and was always higher in price. The hotel felt so bad after they got of the phone with Booklt they upgraded my room and gave me a big discount.

Booked a trip to Disneyworld. They booked us through Delta with a layover in Atlanta. Our flight from Atlanta to Florida was scheduled to leave SIX minutes after our arrival in Atlanta. THANK GOD the flight was delayed, otherwise we would have missed our flight to Orlando. The shuttle service desk was closed because we arrived after midnight and the kiosk wouldn't scan our vouchers, so we had to pay $200 to get our family to the hotel, ONE WAY. The agency allowed us to book one bedroom for five people EVEN though it was against hotel policy. The hotel had to make an exception in our case because it was already booked. $15 a night for a cot. Our itinerary clearly read "1 room 2 beds for 5 people, breakfast included."

When we tried to redeem our breakfast vouchers the hotel pointed out that they only ever assign TWO breakfast vouchers per room. Something bookit was COMPLETELY unaware of. First day of vacation and I am ABSOLUTELY LIVID. The customer service representative I spoke with (after an hour of transfers and holds) was completely RUDE and CONDESCENDING. He refused to connect me to his supervisor and would not even repeat his name for me. This agency NEEDS to gather accurate information about the companies they book, present all correct information to their customers, and treat their customers with respect. DO NOT BOOK WITH BOOKITNOW. We arrived for our family vacation at the Iberostar Playa Mita on 6/11/14 and they had no record of our reservation despite our paperwork from Bookit.com reflecting a confirmed reservation. After a couple of phone calls, it was determined that Bookit.com had not paid for our reservation. We spent 3 1/2 hours on our arrival date at the Front Desk while Bookit.com told the Iberostar they would pay and never did. Iberostar was kind enough to put us in a room despite the lack of payment. We lost our first day of vacation.

We had assumed that Bookit.com would pay based on their promises, but on the day before checkout, the Iberostar tracked us down to tell us payment had not been received. I sent e-mails to all of the executive team, including the President demanding that payment be made. I received an e-mail back from the VP of Finance confirming that payment would be made the next morning. I checked back with the Front Desk first thing the following morning and payment still had not been made. I then received an e-mail from the VP of Finance and he said he spoke with the front desk and said that everything was resolved.

It took 5 days while we were on vacation for Bookit.com to finally make payment for our reservation. There must be some illegality to accepting our payment, confirming our reservation and then not paying the resort. Furthermore, we lost a lot of our vacation time working the phone and sending e-mails about the non-payment. Not to mention, the stress we had during our family vacation. Officials of the resort said this is a common occurrence with Bookit.com and to never use them again (which I won't). For information sake, the e-mails of the officers which is not public knowledge are:

My first reaction was that this was a scam and too good to be true so I set up a three-way call with Christine and my daughter. I asked a lot of questions and was told by Christine that there would be no problem in getting the cruise that we wanted to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday as long as I sent in my request 60 days in advance. I sent in my request on May 21st. They received it on May 28th, well in advance of the 60-day requirement. I did not hear back from them by the 30th of June so I called. I was told by the self-proclaimed "manager" that my cruise was not available.

I was FURIOUS!!! This "manager" told me I could not get a refund of the $784 that I had paid. I asked to speak to his supervisor and was denied. I called Christine and talked with her. She said that she is told to tell us that there will be no problem with getting the cruise that we want. That is a bold-faced LIE!!!! I called Royal Caribbean to see if there were cabins available and was told by their reservations department that there were over 100 interior cabins available on the cruise that I requested!! So Book It lied again. I have called, been put on hold, left messages with a promise to call back and have heard nothing. This company needs to be investigated for its business practices. Our experience with Booklt.com was HORRID!!!!! We have never been treated so unfairly ever! ! Our flight there was great (but with Westjet we wouldn't expect anything else. Love Westjet!). When we arrived to the resort (Occidental Grand Xcaret) in Mexico we were greeted very warmly, given a drink and smiles from all the staff until they found out that we booked our trip through Booklt. Then everyone was beyond cold. They started by telling us that unless we paid them a great deal of money we couldn't stay there. We ask what the issue was and they proceeded to tell us that Booklt hadn't paid them so unless we paid upfront we couldn't stay there. I immediately asked if they could call Booklt and let me talk to them.

They did of course. When I got book it on the phone they acted like it was nothing and they told us they would call the resorts manager and have it all straightened out. The resort manager had told us Booklt couldn't resolve it because it was after hours and their account staff weren't there. It was late at night. So we still needed to pay. After about an hour of going back and forth we learned that Booklt had owed the resort a great deal more than just our stay. While we were standing at the counter there were two more parties that were being told the same thing. The resort didn't care that we were from out of the country and didn't have anywhere else to go, they wanted their money (understandable I guess). So Booklt during all of this had finally said they had found us another place to stay.

I asked if it had the same amenities as the resort we had chosen and Booklt said no, they just wanted to find us a place to stay and is we weren't happy to give them a call the next morning and they would find another location. We after many hours at the front desk and other hours drive we finally got to the new resort. NOTHING like what we had booked. Look below and you'll know what I mean. The staff was friendly but there was nothing that we had asked for. We then gave Booklt a call the next day to tell them we weren't happy and they proceeded to tell us that because we accepted the offer of the new resort we couldn't go anywhere. I told them that it had nothing that we had asked for and I started listing off everything, they simply said the new resort has an ocean view so its considered an upgrade.

(We booked a vacation at a resort that didn't even have an ocean view option because that wasn't a priority for us). They then told us we were more than welcome to leave the resort if we weren't happy but would have to make our own arrangement and that any charges we would be responsible for, they wouldn't be reimbursing us for anything. Flights couldn't be changed so we had to stay there for the week. This was the first time my parents had ever been on a vacation like this and for Booklt to have ruined it for us all but especially them is unforgivable. It has been six months since that trip and I am just writing now because it has taken this long to calm down. I want to add that I am not trying to did the resort we ended up at but it just wasn't what we wanted and that was beyond disappointing. Look up these two resorts and please let me know your thoughts?

They increased the rate of the hotel and tried to charge me more. Instead of giving me what I requested they did not deliver a voucher and charged the rate for the voucher into my hotel fee. If you are considering using BookIt.com I would take the time to look at the reviews and see the numerous amount of unhappy consumers, like me, who were charge more than the quoted amount.

If I would have read the other complainers, I would have not used them. I'm in the process of seeing if I can get the difference back. I will update of they make a credit.

I booked a trip with Bookit.com and got my itinerary with all my confirmation codes for the resort, airfare, rental car and decided to go through Bill Me Later to make payments for my trip. I thought everything was fine. I came home from my trip and received my first bill from Bill Me Later and the price changed to a higher amount totaling 150.00 more than what I agreed to when I booked with them. My itinerary showed everything was paid for and they gave me all my confirmation codes so when I called them three times and spoke to multiple people who work in different departments they keep telling me that they didn't charge me for the car when in fact they did and I have my paperwork to prove it. They will not make things right. All I want is for their trickery to end. Don't fool people into thinking they are paying one price and then up it afterward. I will never use this company again.

I was on the line with my son and we specifically told her we were planning to go on a cruise at the beginning of July for my son's birthday. Ms. ** assured us that since we were calling 60 days prior to the scheduled date for the cruise, we were not going to have a problem. They collected the total amount of the cruise over the phone and now we are not going to be able to go on the cruise because of forms that need to be mailed in to a PO Box and imagine everyone mailing in their forms at the same time, there is no guarantee that our package will be process in a timely basis or anyone else's package for that matter.

This Company is a SCAM and they have employees answering the phones that cannot answer any questions, they transfer you to a voice mail where you leave your name and telephone number so they can return your call and they never call back. You have to keep calling them and nothing gets done. If anyone receives a call from this company, BOOKIT Travel, don't listen to their offers because it is not a good offer and there is no guarantee that you will take the cruise when you plan or want to go. Is a BIG SCAM!!!

My boyfriend and I returned today from a trip for my 40th birthday to Playa Del Carmen booked through BookIt.com. The trip was a quick 3 night trip from May 9-12. Our flight was cancelled due to weather on the 9th. We were not notified that the flight was cancelled. I understand weather cannot be prevented but when we contacted BookIt we were told that nothing could be done and that we needed to contact the hotel to make arrangements. We were stranded in Indianapolis and did not have international calling. We were told by Bookit that the hotel had considered us a no call no show for the first night.

Bookit was NOT helpful at all. We requested that they contact the hotel to see if we could extend our stay a night and for assistance in getting flights rescheduled and extending our stay. They told us it was our responsibility and we needed to make arrangements. Our flight was also cancelled on the way back and what should have been a 4 hour flight turned into over 14 hours and we were not helped or compensated for anything that went wrong with the short trip which ended up with us only being at our resort for 40 hours for $1600+. WE were also told that someone would meet us at our hotel to set up transfer back to the hotel but they never showed nor called. We had to have the wonderful people at our resort help us. Bookit was not helpful at all through the entire process and we will NEVER use them again and we will make sure that all of our friends, family and anyone we know do not use them. On the good side, the resort we stayed in was AMAZING and the people there were amazing. (Ocean Maya Royale).

Seriously? All of our paperwork said we would be in Liberia which was 20 mins. from hotel... Called them back and they say there is nothing they can do and we can't even get a refund! I have booking vacations for years using other reputable sites, but decided to try BookIt.com as it had the best deal. I was looking to book my vacation in June 2014 and had a great deal in hand. Me, my girlfriend and 2 other people decided to do on this trip, so we booked it. Right after my booking I looked at the total cost and realized it was more than what I was confirmed to pay 30 seconds prior on the last page before confirming. I called them immediately and they put me on hold for 15 minutes and come back and tell me they are not sure what happened but they could not refund me the 15 dollars I was overcharged. Instead they provide me with a future credit of 25$, which at the time I thought was acceptable.

2 days later I get my credit card bill and it was over $500 more than what I was quoted!!! I called and was on the phone for an hour before I get a response saying it was charged in US Dollars but there was no indication whatsoever during the booking process of this. Later they tell me that during the booking it is stated in the ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, which is a separate link than the regular terms and conditions. I negotiated and talked to different reps of different levels and nobody could help me with this issue. I told them that it should state clearly on each page that the price quoted is in USD or CAD.

I also suggested if a customer enters a Canadian address or airport that there should be a notification saying it will be charged in US Dollars. Bottom line is we each had to pay an additional $130 which brought the pricing higher than most of the other travel sites. I had a horrible first experience and will never use BookIt.com again.

I booked a Christmas all inclusive vacation 3 months ago with BookIt. I received a confirmation email from BookIt stating, "This indicates that your booking has been completed successfully and is now confirmed." Two weeks ago I get a phone call from them telling me the resort I booked is being sold and the new owners aren't going to honor the current reservations. I was offered an upgrade at a sister resort. After thinking about it over the weekend, I called BookIt to accept this offer and was told by the same rep to wait because they were trying to negotiate a better offer. The sister resort isn't quite as nice as the original resort but we wanted to book something because resorts fill up quickly for the holidays. Days continue to pass and I repeatedly send e-mails to this rep -- with only 1 answer to multiple e-mails.

The original resort contacted me personally and told me that they are not for sale, nor have they been sold -- matter of fact, they are booked full for almost the entire month of December. I gave them my confirmation number that BookIt gave me and their reservations department is trying to see if they can locate anything. I finally got BookIt to recognize my acceptance of the sister resort - I was concerned that resort would also fill before my reservation could be confirmed. So, long story short, the BookIt rep started out being very professional the first few times we talked but has now become VERY unprofessional. BookIt was not honest with me about my original resort reservation, and I am now booked (I hope) at a sister resort with another e-mail confirming this resort. I will NEVER use BookIt again.

I wish I saw these reviews on this website before using booklt.com. On January 26, 2014, I made 2 reservations (4-person each) for my family and my parents-in-law for a trip to Cancun next June on booklt.com. The reservations included an all-inclusive resort stay for 8 nights and air-tickets from Washington D.C. to Cancun. On April 1, 2014, I received an email from Booklt.com informing me that the airlines has made some changes to the flights. The new flights were ridiculously unrealistic. The new schedule was to start the trip a day earlier, spend a night in Mexico City on my own and fly the next day to Cancun. On the way back, I would fly from Cancun to Mexico City, but the flight from Mexico City to Washington departs 6 minutes before the first flight (from Cancun to Mexico City) arrives.

As these flights were completely unacceptable (and unachievable), we called the airline, but we were told that any change to the tickets has to happen through Booklt.com as they are the ones who made the reservation. We called booklt.com many times to address the situation. We requested that booklt.com talks to the airlines to either (1) find reasonable alternative flights, or (2) if not available, book us on reasonable, comparable flights on another airline without any extra charge to us as we already paid booklt.com for these flights back on January. We ended up calling Booklt.com 7 times so far, each time it took an average of 1 hour. While booklt.com representatives understand and agree with our request, they come back after checking with the airline to say that they cannot find other alternate flights and refuse to book us on other airlines unless we pay for the difference in price.

When we explain that we already paid in January for the resort and flights and it is the responsibility of Booklt.com and the airline to find us comparable flights without extra charge, we either (1) get push back from Booklt.com agents, or in most cases (2) they put us in hold and then we get disconnected somehow. After we suspected that the agents are trying to avoid us, we asked the agent during our 2-hour call on April 9 to call us back if we get disconnected and left him our phone number. The line was indeed disconnected while we were on hold and we received no call back afterwards.

Unfortunately, the customer service at Booklt.com has been horrible; we wasted so many precious hours, as we had to explain the situation every time we call, but we always ended up without a resolution, let alone the frustration when we get disconnected. Examples of the agents we spoke to during this ordeal include (not sure about spelling) Anastasia, Laura **, Jen **, Tania (or Tonya), Gabrielle **, Adam, Brenda and her manager (April 9).

We filed a complaint against Booklt.com with the Better Business Bureau. Even then, Booklt.com did not address any of my concerns. In response to my complaint, I received a call from Booklt.com's representative (Donna **). It was a continuation of the same rude and unprofessional attitude I have seen during the previous calls. The representative did not attempt to solve any of the problems, or help me with the travel situation.

When I said that I know of someone who had exactly the same problem with the airline tickets and Booklt.com was able to help him and change the flights to another flight at no extra cost, I was told by Booklt.com that this was a mistake and they are not going to repeat the same mistake. Booklt.com considers it a mistake to help their customers and resolve their issues!!!! Moreover, when I complained about the treatment from their customer service and the number of times where our calls were dropped intentionally by their agents despite fact that we gave them our phone number to call back in case we are disconnected, I received no reaction whatsoever; just silence.

Fortunately, being 11pm the hotel managed to give me a room. BookIt.com never assumed the responsibility. Customer service first laughed at my problem. Then on the next day when I called again, they said they would use what happened to me as a learning tool so that it does not happen again. Customer service matters! One day after I booked my honeymoon, the flights were changed. A quick look at the airlines website showed the flights I had booked were still available. I contacted BookIt customer support to try and change my flights and was given the run around. The support agents can't make flight changes. My request was forwarded to the "flight department." No, I can't speak directly to the flight department. I have to wait 48-72 hours for a response. A week later my request was still pending review. That's when things got even worse. The second agent I spoke with didn't understand the problem. Her comment was "you will be returning," as if I should be lucky to have a return flight at all. When I asked to speak with someone else, she refused. When I asked for her name and a supervisor, she hung up. When I called back I immediately asked for a supervisor.

After waiting, Jalisse (she gave me her name) told me the supervisor said to file any complaints online (his name was Peter). Jalisse then asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I told her, “Yes, I'm trying to address an issue with my flights.” She then became sarcastic and rude. "Why didn't you tell me that in the first place?" I had to explain to her that was rude and asked to speak with a supervisor again. She laughed and put me back on hold. After a long wait during which she kept getting back on line telling me my flight change request was pending, and making sure I really wanted to speak with a supervisor, Peter finally got on the line. He asked what was the problem? Peter sounded like he either just woke up, was high, or just didn't care. I told him I was having problems communicating with the support agents I was speaking with. He said, "oh," then hung up.

It's sad that due to globalization this is what customer service was become; there is no accountability. BookIt's customer support line is a dead end. I'm trying to contact their corporate office but a recording always says they are closed. If the airline hadn't confirmed my flights exist, I would think the whole thing is a scam. Unfortunately, it's simply horrible customer service. Use BookIt if you want a cheap deal but don't count on getting what you want.

In addition the beautiful photos of the gym are for the gym they are apparently building as there was no gym available during our stay other than a few free weights and tiny space. UPDATE: I called Bookit.com one more time and expressed with sincerity the distress I was in over the duplicate billing. She reviewed our account and advised me that we had indeed been charged twice for our vacation. She said that she could see where we had called twice before and had been told we were not duplicate billed. She was VERY helpful and placed me on hold while she spoke with a manager. She then informed me that I would receive a refund of both charges within 5-10 business days (except the original flight portion as it was non-refundable). Within just 3 days I checked online and had received all of the credits she promised. We are booked directly with a resort now and will be using our original flight. All is resolved!

    Original Review: April 12, 2014

Made an online reservation on 3/25. Received an email about 2 weeks later that our flight had been changed. When I logged in it showed our original itinerary NOT being the flight I had scheduled and new proposed itinerary as the one I thought we were already on. No problem! So we THOUGHT everything was okay. Then I check our credit card statement today and see that we have been charged TWICE for our vacation. AND the charges were 5 days apart. I called and spoke to 3 different people at BookIt and they all argued with me that the first charge did not go through and only the 2nd charge actually worked.

I then called my credit card company who told me BOTH charges went through and they thought it was very suspicious that (A) the charges were 5 days apart and (B) the company did not call to tell us about this issue. We cancelled online and we are opening a dispute on the duplicate charge. Who knows when we will get the original charge refunded but the credit card company said we could dispute it as well if they don't refund it in a reasonable amount of time.

I knew that I would lose money on the airfare but I wanted to at least get some of my money back from the hotel. It was a non-refundable room but the agent told me to call the hotel to see if they would ok Bookit to refund the money. I called the hotel and was told to fax a letter from the hospital to the hotel stating that my boyfriend could not travel. The letter was faxed from the hospital and it was approved for Bookit to refund me my money back to my bill me later account. I stayed on the phone with the Bookit agent for almost an hour and was told I would get credit for the airline tickets, less the fees from the airlines, and a refund of $669.13 for the hotel. I was told the refund would credit back to my account in 7-10 days. All this took place on February 28 2014.

I called them back on March 9 to check on my refund and was given the runaround. The agent was very rude and act like she had no idea about my refund. Even though everything that was discussed was in their computers, she kept saying that the room was non refundable. I had to keep explaining to her about the hotel approving the refund. I began to get frustrated and asked to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor finally got on the phone and he was very rude. I think he must got upset with my tone in my voice and he hung up on me. I called back and was told by another agent, after waiting on the phone for over 30 minutes, that I would get my refund in 15-20 days because it was a "manual refund." What's that?

After reading these posts and the rude behavior of the agents at Bookit that I received, I filed a dispute with bill me later for my hotel charge and filed a compliant with the BBB on March 21. On March 25, my account was finally credited $669.13 to my bill me later account. Please stay away from Bookit.com and use someone else for your travels. This was my first time and it will be my last using these people. Also I was told that I was going to be waived the $25 fee because of my circumstances. But of course I was still charged the fee. Not only did I have to scramble to find another hotel on my first night, I spent over an hour waiting for customer service to call me back. The guy I talked to first said they've "never had anything like this happen" and would have to contact a "team" to let me know what to do. I told him that I needed to have somewhere to stay and couldn't afford to stand around waiting for someone to call. He said they'd call right away. Wouldn't you know, no one ever called me that night?

Called again the next day, the customer service rep states they need to talk to hotel to find out what happened. Called again a few days later, they say they are "working on the ticket" to correct the transactions. A few days later another charge appears on my credit card for the entire amount. No refund. Called AGAIN, rep assures me that it will be "taken care of" and tells me there may be a $25.00 cancellation fee, for the cancellation of a room I never was given in the first place. I booked a package to Riviera Maya with Bookit.com last July. I wish I would have Googled them first, and now I am adding my "2 cents worth" about this company. The initial process went fine, and the agent who handled my trip was very nice and competent. I chose to pay in 3 installments, and no problem there either. In December, I received an e-mail, notifying me that our flight numbers and times had been altered slightly by American Airlines. I was told to re-copy my itinerary, and was not directed to do anything else.

Fast forward to the Monday of the week that we leave (on Saturday, 3/1) I actually called Bookit about another issue (names all matching on our reservation/passport/ID). The agent I spoke with told me she couldn't help me with that, and said I should call American. I called AA, and they said no, they couldn't help me with that, and that the 3rd party booking company would have to take care of it. So another call back to Bookit, and I actually got someone who knew what they were doing. Good for me, because I was pretty upset.

She informed me that I had taken care of the name change already, and then the light bulb went off, and I remembered. For my peace of mind, she sent me an e-mail, confirming what our names should be on our reservation. I called American (again) and asked them to please check their TSA database, and the agent told me that our names were correct. Then she said there was another issue. Great. I was informed that we were still on the original flight number and time on the reservation. AA told me that Bookit had failed to "re-issue" our tickets to the airline, and that I needed to call them (again) and take care of it. Remember, this is 5 days until we leave, and I am in panic mode/close to tears.

So I called this wonderful (not) travel agency, got an agent who listened to my problem, put me on hold 2 or 3 times, and then came back on the phone to confidently tell me that he had taken care of the problem. Did I believe him? Heck no, so I called the airline (again) and asked them to please check the details of my itinerary. The agent told me that it was still the same, and that's when the waterworks started for me. This was a big-deal trip I had been planning for 7 months with my daughter, and our trip plans were falling apart. The agent at American Airlines took care of the problem for me - bless her heart - and told me that it was really good that I had discovered this before heading to DFW. We would not have been leaving on either plane because the first flight number was either non-existent, or not going to Cancun, and the actual flight could have been full, and we wouldn't be able to take that one either. But wait, there is more!

Part of the package included ground transportation from the airport to the resort (65 miles) with Best Day travel. That went okay - it was a bit chaotic at the airport, and a significant wait before we left, but perhaps that is normal?? We received a booklet about confirming our return pickup time the next day at 4 at our resort. I went down to the lobby, and no rep was there from Best Day. So, I decided to take care of it later, even though I wanted to not have to worry about it (I'm on vacation - no worries, right?). A few days later, I saw a BD rep in the reception area, and sat down to talk about our return to the airport. He found my name & info, and he too had the wrong flight number and time for our return flight. I couldn't remember our flight # and time, so I told him I would go get my paperwork, and we could set things up. He informed me he would be there until 5:00.

I went up to our room, went back to the reception area, and did not see Leonal. I did see the back of a van with the "Best Day Travel" logo, leaving the resort and 4:45. I was livid. Who does that? I went to the front desk, and they called BD. She was put on hold. What a surprise. Meanwhile, I am stressing-out, and missing valuable minutes of my vacation. They go by so fast in the first place, don't they? The next day, I went down and called BD, spoke to a manager, and told him what had happened, including the name of their rep who ditched me the day before. He took care of the problem for me, changed the time and flight # on my reservation...finally.

Yesterday, 3 days after returning home from Mexico, I called Bookit to tell them what had happened. When I told them about Best Day, the agent told me that was a different company, and asked me if I had "reached out" to them. I said of course I did, but reminded him that Bookit works with them, and directs you while making your reservation to use this particular company for your ground transportation. I got an apology, and then I asked to speak to a supervisor after I was told I couldn't speak to a manager, that I would have to e-mail them, supply my information, and I would get a quick response. I said I didn't want to do that, and settled for talking to the supervisor. He was terrible, non-consoling, and in the end, he told me that it was "agent error", and that "people make mistakes". That's when I got really mad, told him I was extremely disappointed in their service, and ended the call.

They are terrible. Do not use them. The details are so important with these vacation packages, and there was a total disconnect between Bookit/American Airlines/Best Day Travel. I will make my own arrangements in the future due to this entire experience. I wish there was a no star rating, because that is what Bookit deserves.

On 3/8/2014, I began searching the internet for the best travel deals. Of course Booklt.com advertised the best prices. So I decided to use them for my plane and hotel reservations in Puerto Vallarta. Upon trying to book the trip, I noticed that suddenly the flight information was no longer available, yet much more expensive ones were. I wanted to see if this was actually true, so I used my wife's computer (different ip address) and suddenly the deal was available again.

I managed to book the trip this time, but now I had an even bigger problem. Booklt.com had switched my hotel date to one day after it was suppose to be. Before hitting the submit button, I verified the dates (3 times) and I even had my wife verify them behind me. There is NO WAY, I booked my hotel room for a different day than my flight. When I called Booklt.com to fix the problem, I was told that it would cost me another $500 to get the date I wanted and that there was no way their website could've changed the date on me.

Yea right! I refused to pay the extra $500 for their mistake, so I asked to cancel the trip completely (which their website says I can do within 24 hours) and I was told that I could not cancel it!!!!! I had also purchased the trip insurance with this package, but of course, this type of thing is not covered on their policy. In addition, since Booklt.com had screwed up the dates when I purchased my trip, the dates were also screwed up on my travel insurance policy. If the travel dates on your policy don't exactly match the travel dates on your itinerary, your claim will be denied.

The only reason I know this is because I used to be a customer service rep for a travel insurance company and we use to get calls like this all the time. Since I knew what to do, I called Travel Guard to correct the dates and the spelling of my wife's name????? I am quite sure that travel insurance companies are in kahootz with online booking companies, since the slimy booking activities make their policies null and void. If there were better regulations in place protecting consumers from this type of activity and high enough penalties for scam artists, consumers would not be taken advantage of so much!!!!

I would like to warn other consumers about the poor policies that this company utilizes. Number one, do not use this company to plan any travel itineraries. I, unfortunately, was awed by the low prices offered at some nice resorts and I booked a hotel in Hawaii. Our plans changed and I had to cancel my reservation and was charged a fee of 19.95. I am okay with that fee, however I have not received a credit as of yet. Book-it charged my account within minutes of booking but now I am told it will take 15-20 days for a refund. To me that sounds very illegal that the company can hang on to your money that long. Being naive, I booked another trip with them and I have the same scenario, waiting for another large refund. Book-it will be using almost $3,000 of my money, interest free. That just doesn't sound right. I would not recommend using this website.

When I checked out of my hotel, I was charged an additional $32.63/day for what was labeled "Taxes and Fees". The hotel informed me that the original charges were actually "Booking Fees/taxes" while those charged at Check out were resort/hotel Services and Fees. I consider Book its labeling to be very misleading. They should call it what it is....BOOKING FEES and TAXES.

Upon trying to book a hotel with bookit.com, I had an issue with the online service. I had entered my personal information on the site several times and it did not go through. By the time I spoke to someone the rate had gone up, and hotel rates that I was able to view from my I-phone apparently were not available for them to look up because it was a mobile site even though I had given them the page number they requested. Apparently they can not view the bookit.com mobile site when you call in. I kept being told that hotels I was interested in were not available or twice as much as what I was seeing them for on the mobile site, as I was speaking to them. At the same time I did not want to continue putting my personal information online because it had not been going through earlier. I ended up settling for a hotel that was more than I had seen it listed for and not the one I had originally wanted (which was displayed on my phone as available, but I was being told was unavailable).

To make matters worse upon checking in at the hotel we were extremely displeased. I called bookit.com to see about possibly altering our reservations for the rest of the week and I was told we would be responsible for one night ($110 dollars) and additional fees. What a scam!!! Why should I have to pay over $100 to alter my reservation, especially being that we called immediately after arriving and the room which was not as described! I work full time and have children. It is not often I get an opportunity to go on vacation with my family. This experience affected our vacation and our time together. The place was not kid friendly and the outlets in the hotel were not working. Why should anyone be penalized a whole night stay & fees when they are that displeased with where they are staying?

I tried to contact the customer service and I got a continuous run around. I spoke to one woman, whom when I asked to speak to a manager she said she was "kind of like a supervisor" so that was just as good. I then receive an email from Vaunette ** an Operations Support Analyst at Bookit.com, asking me to contact her. Upon speaking with Vaunette ** I had become even more concerned and disgusted with bookit.com. I had explained to her that I had issues originally with trying to book online and then upon arriving being dissatisfied with the place and unable to alter our reservations without being subject to high fees.

At first she denied having a record of my calling in upon check in at the hotel, until I had told her the exact time I had called and suddenly she had the information. I also offered to send her all of the information I had written down in regards to the page numbers I had given to agents and was being told the hotels I requested were not available, when in fact they were. She seemed very disinterested and unconcerned with the issues I had experienced, and her way of remedying the situation was to email me a link of coupon codes which were accessible via their website.

Well no thank you! I will not be needed to utilize any coupon codes for a place I have no interest in doing business with! They appeared to be very dishonest and greedy, at the expense of my family and I having a hassle free vacation.

To avoid an additional $25 fee I cancelled online but it kept saying that my car rental did not cancel so I called. They told me to call Cartrawler directly and when I did they said I had no reservation. After four hours on the phone with Bookit.com, I finally was told it was cancelled and it would be 15-20 days for a refund! Really? It took minutes for the charge to show on my credit card. This means I will have to pay the $604 for my entire trip I cancelled on my credit card to avoid interest and hope the refund comes. I am going to give 15 days and the refund does not show I will dispute the charges with my credit card. Priceline, Expedia and Hotwire are much easier to deal with and I will never rent from Bookit.com. The wait times are ridiculous and I seriously doubt I will get my refund after reading the other reviews. I travel quite a bit with work and leisure and I will never book with them again!

All units with those we traveled with found same. Ended up with respiratory infections. Also complaints went on deaf ears. Disappointed all around with both selections..... After calling an agent, I'm told that they have put a hold on the funds and now need to release them in order to process the transaction, not a dollar hold, the entire hotel stay, a lot of money. After working with 5 agents over the day, nothing was resolved, the funds are still frozen, and they failed to make money for themselves by booking the trip and left me very angry. To some agents' credit, they did care but seemed to lack the knowledge and resources required to solve what seems to be an ongoing or perhaps deliberate tactic by Bookit.com itself. Either way, the money saved is not worth the intense frustration and as of this post, the problem remains unsolved. I strongly urge caution and would not recommend this company for online booking.

I booked a flight and hotel combo deal Saturday February 1, 2014, but an error came up on the next page. This was my first time using Bookit so I didn't call the error number right away and since I needed a flight that same week, I booked directly with Delta. I received a confirmation email from reply@ian.com via Travelnow.com stating that my Hotel reservation is confirmed and "Your card has been charged. The booking you recently made on the Bookit.com, Inc website is confirmed."

I thought that was odd, but it confirmed me that my flight did not go through with the combo deal and I was o.k. to book my flight separate. I was totally wrong!!! I traveled like normal not realizing so when received a notice on my credit card expense report that they actually charged the entire combo deal and I double booked my flight travels, I was upset. So, I called Bookit.com to explain. They said they could not help me at all, since I did not call after the error message. I seriously think this is a scam and they are not consumer friendly. I did not receive an email on an error which could have helped. I personally will never use Bookit.com and Do Not Recommend it to anyone.

Called BookIt and they could not find our booking, was told to call Bill Me Later and see if they had the info, we called Bill Me Later and they stated that BookIt had to release the booking. Was on the phone for 2 hours. Gave up. Next morning there was a confirmation email from Bill it Later so we set up our profile and there was a pending transaction from BookIt. Was told to call BookIt. We called bookIt back and explained what happened the night before (by the way Bill Me Later does not have any cross booking numbers). Michael searched for my booking and could not find it.

We decided to start again since there was a transaction already. Michael went to process it and was told it was declined. Probably because there already was a transaction. Michael sent me a link so when I had the decline cleared I could click the link and have my booking. After 3 hours back and forth on the phone, Bill Me Later did clear the account and when I went to click the link surprise surprise, no link opened. I called BookIt and was told there was no booking for us. We threw our hands up and decided to go a different way. Grateful that the booking didn't go thru.

As per the terms of my reservation, I would be subject to a $19.95 cancellation charge which is fine. When I cancelled my hotel, I was told that it would take 10 days to process my credit. 11 days later, no credit and I called them. They told me the credit would be processed in 3 more days. 3 days later, no credit and I called them. They told me that my credit "was under investigation" and wouldn't be processed for an additional 15 days. "Under investigation". What the heck does that mean? I told them that I would be disputing the charge on my forthcoming credit card statement and that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I told them that they would be losing a customer. They didn't care at all. We flew in to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We arrived at the Occidental Grand Xcaret prepared to enjoy our all-inclusive resort vacation to find that Book It NEVER paid the hotel for our package. We spent almost 3 hours on the phone with Book It trying to get the situation remedied. Book It promised to send a check overnight to the hotel's corporate office to make sure we would be reimbursed for the money we had to pay to get our room. We paid the full amount that Book It had promised to pay the hotel, as we were already in Mexico and just wanted to enjoy our vacation. We checked with the hotel the next day to find the check had not arrived. We again called Book It who assured me they sent the check, and for some reason the hotel just couldn't "see it" in their system. We proceeded to check every day (calling Book It, talking to the hotel's corporate rep in the hotel) to see if the check arrived. It never did, and we left for Minnesota at the end of our vacation.

We had a fantastic time at the resort, we were treated great and with many apologies and special treatment from the hotel's side, but when we tried to contact Book It, we were constantly put on hold by Book It reps telling me they were "fixing" the issue. We talked to the hotel rep about the issue who told us that it wasn't just us who were in this situation, in fact several families left the hotel at check-in instead of having to pay AGAIN as they couldn't afford to re-pay for the whole package since Book It didn't pay. It's been 6 days and we have yet to see a resolution or refund. I will continue to re-post my negative reviews in the hopes of recouping my money and helping other avoid this situation. This was simply a huge mess.

By far the worst place I have dealt with. I booked a trip to the Bahamas for 5 days for 3 with meal plans. We accidentally booked the kids meal plan so we decided to call in and have it fixed. Keep in mind that it's only been 30 min from time of booking. The customer representative tried to stick us with the kids meals while telling us that the only thing for us to do was to additionally purchase the adult meal plans. They were very uncooperative until I mentioned that I just finished booking and threaten to cancel. She puts us on hold for over an hour to tell us that it will be reviewed and they would contact us within a few days. Yeah right, no this is not happening! We told her "** no" that it would exceed the allowed time to completely cancel our booking. She puts us back on hold for another hour. She gets back and tells us the that the time has been increased for another 24 hours and that someone will get in touch with us the next day. Ok, now that's what I'm talking about. Right?

So the following day we receive a call that we can upgrade to the adult meal plans. I give them my credit card numbers so they can charge the difference. Two days later we receive an email stating that the meal plans are no longer available and that we will be refunded. So we decide to call in to see what had happened because they were advertised and available when we originally booked the trip and why would they advertise let alone charge us for a service that wasn't available. They were quick to blame the vendor that offered the service, but I asked "what does the vendor have to do with you advertising the service they provide without knowledge if it's available or not?" They brushed us off like we meant nothing as a customer and that they didn't have to explain themselves to us!

So we get a hold of the vendor and he claims that the meal plans are available and that they don't understand why would Book It give us false information. And to add to it he said that they never received a payment for the reservation! Umm, but they were quick to charge our card... That's interesting, but not as interesting as finding out that not only did they never attempted to secure our meal plans but that they charged our card double the amount $$. So now we get back on the phone with book it to be put back on hold for hours because no representative or supervisor wanted to deal with us. Are you serious!!!! Really! So finally, a representative gets on and we explain everything. She said that she does see that the card has been over charged and she also sees that an email was sent out claiming that I was being refunded. So we explain to her that yes such an email was sent but the it would be for the original amount of the service and not the over charge. So we get put back on hold. Damn!!!

Another hour and a half later she comes back and said to us that she put it in the system and that I would be credited within 3 to 5 business days. Ok. Now she starts trying to sell us activities. We had to stop her in her tracks. No no no. We would not be dealing with Book it ever in our lives or the next. Thank you, but no thank, really! Now to mind you this was all within the first week. Starting, December 7th, 2013. We are writing this on December 17th, and still no signs of a refund! Still on the phone with these people to no avail.

Now, it's 10 business days that I should get my refund. And they claim that it's being processed today. Come on, are you ** with me! It was supposed to have been processed on the 8th it's now the 17th. People, steer clear off this site (Book-It). They truly don't care about the customer and they are not trying to help even when it's clearly their fault. They are just going to blame someone else (their vendors). It's funny that as soon as we booked, our card was already charged fully. Honestly, fully booked and charged. Not a cent to spare. And we have been waiting for nine days to be refunded and still not a cent, just excuses and blaming everyone else. And now that We have read everyone else's review, We know this is the beginning.. We haven't even reached our destination but I can only imagine what lies ahead. God bless anyone who books with them. You've been warned! They are going to ruin your vacation.

Let me add... there is NO customer service, no help, no emergency contact person when this happens. When you call, you get a different person every time and they just don't care.... You are on your OWN! People use a local travel agent or someone that you have used in the past. As posted here by other people, the "savings" are not always "savings" and the hassle is just not worth the worry and the time that you spend on your vacation to correct problems that they have created for you.

My husband and I cruise all the time and once a maid forgot/skipped cleaning our room. You would have thought the world had ended the way the cruise line acted but BookIt.com leaves me in Mexico to solve my own problems for two days. There was an airport information desk right in front of the WestJet kiosk where I asked if she could page a WestJet attendant.

The Information clerk then told me that she cannot because there are no more WestJet employees at the airport as the last WestJet flight was at 2:40pm. My flight on my itinerary showed at 4:30pm departure to Toronto. The information clerk looked at my itinerary and then looked at her computer and told us there is a 4:30pm departure flight to Toronto but only with American Airlines. She showed us that our itinerary was wrong and there was no such flight leaving with WestJet. By this time, we are extremely irritated lugging around a bunch of suit cases back and forth through the airport with no idea of what flight we are actually on. We've gotten back to the American Airlines counter where the attendant again told us that we should be flying with WestJet. I told the attendant what the information clerk told me and he suggested that I call WestJet on the number he gave me.

I proceeded to call BookIt.com to confirm my itinerary, where the CSR told me that their system shows American Airlines. I told her the itinerary I have shows WestJet and I read it off to her exactly as it was on my phone. She told me the reservation she has on file for me that was sent from WestJet shows operated by American Airlines. She then transferred me to WestJet and they told me they do not have a flight in their system for that time with a WestJet plane, but they do have one for that time with WestJet but operated by American Airlines. Once I told the American Airlines attendant about this, he looked into it and said that we were indeed supposed to be on the American Airlines flight; however, with the time back and forth through the airport and being on the phone, we could no longer get on that flight. I was extremely pissed at this point, but the American Airlines attendant tried to rebook us on the 8pm flight; however, it was completely full.

I then called BookIt.com again (using my roaming) where they told me there is nothing they can do about it. I would have to rebook through American Airlines! BookIt.com is the one who sent me the wrong itinerary and continue to pass it off as everyone else's problems! Every airline I spoke to genuinely tried to help me, whereas BookIt just kept saying "It's not our fault. You need to speak to this company!" At the end of this fiasco, I was transferred to American Airlines rebooking dept where a lady helped me book a flight for the next day with WestJet which I had to pay for! At this point, we were already missing a day of work, we were completely exhausted and just wanted to get home! I paid for the flight. I explained the situation to several people, where they all told me the only spot the error occurred was from the email sent from BookIt. Because of the extra day I had to spend at the airport, I incurred extra costs on flights, another night of hotel (3 girls, 6 suitcases, we are not sleeping in the airport), roaming long distance and not to mention the one day of pay we each lost!

When I called BookIt, when I finally got home, to ask to be reimbursed only for the extra costs incurred during that extra day I spent there if it had not been for one of their incompetent employees, they simply told me it was not their fault and I need to speak to WestJet about it. I understand people make mistakes, but take ownership for the mistakes you make and stop trying to blame other people!! Can you honestly tell me how was WestJet supposed to help me, when the flight I was originally given was non existent!? What really got me was when I spoke to the last CSR from BookIt and she told me to call WestJet. I told her WestJet will only tell me to call BookIt because it is part of a vacation package and BookIt is the one who booked my flight. The CSR told me, "Well, if you call us back, I'm only going to tell you to call WestJet again."

Are you kidding me!?! This was THE WORST customer service I've ever had to deal with! Bookit.com, you need to take ownership of your mistakes! I know several people who are planning vacations and I was sure to tell them NOT to use BookIt! I will never use BookIt again! I will be calling BookIt again soon to speak to a manager about my situation and the reimbursement for that extra day. And if they continue to refuse to help me, I will be forced to file a lawsuit and believe me, I will be asking for more than just reimbursement for that day! ESP with the stress and frustration this entire situation had caused me!

I booked a Las Vegas trip with Bookit.com and all I was told by the Book It Representative Ryan was my representative. Per my conversation with him, he stated that if I decide to cancel, I must cancel by 8/31/2013 for a full refund.

I cancelled on 8/7/2013 and was issued a cancellation based on paying a $19.95 cancellation fee, which I do understand. But today, 8/17/2013, I contacted BookIt customer service to see why I have not gotten a refund. Per the representative Lorna **, I am finding out that there is no true refund for my entire trip - the $19.95. Now I am stuck with a credit from American Airlines for $632.60. to have completed travel up to one year from the original purchase date of June 22, 2013. The value of this credit is $632.60 and must be used by the original ticketed passengers. When you are ready to rebook using your credit, the airline will charge change fees ranging from $100.00 per passenger, as well as any difference in airfare.

We hardly travel, and if I knew the above I would not ever have used BOOKIT.COM. This is bull. Be aware. Never book a trip with this company since their sales representatives are not upfront with cancellation. Sad thing is this site states no charge cancellation. I am ashamed that a company has the right to screw consumers over. God bless anyone who uses this website. Be aware and do not be stupid.
