    Dear BookIt.com Customer Service, this is the second time I am writing to you. I have raised the issue that the La Quinta Hotel has not been paid when I checked out on December 29. You have already charged me the amount of $273.47 and it has been debited against my account when I booked with you on December 26. Now, I have also been charged by the La Quinta Hotel the amount of $293.84. I want this amount returned to my credit card because it is unfair that I was charged twice and more than the amount you have advertised with the $20.00 coupon applied. I don't understand the system that you have. I have had no difficulty with Agoda, Booking.com, and Hotels.com, and thought that BookIt.com would be an improvement on their service.     Reservations were great. Service and communication were subpar. Contractors used for shuttle service to our hotel were lacking in customer service skills and frankly didn't care. Arrived at hotel almost 2 hrs later (12 pm): not happy!

    I booked a room thinking it was all inclusive. When I got to the hotel they gave me a non all inclusive band. I told them I booked an all inclusive room. They told me Bookit.com does not book inclusive rooms for paradise village. When I booked the room it said very clearly in the picture and description All Inclusive. Now I only have 100 dollars to spend for food and drinks for 5 days!!! Why would you even advertise All inclusive if you're not selling it!!! Bookit.com sucks!

    The resort does offer a choice of rooms with All Inclusive Plan and Room Only Plan. In looking at your booking now, the room you booked does state "room only" and was stated in the booking summary and payment details prior to booking.     The room was alright until I found a used condom in the room. Then on Saturday morning someone knock on the door once or twice and just came in.     We booked a vacation to Punta Cana last summer, only to get notification 1 week prior to departure that our reservations were cancelled. After numerous phone calls to BookIt staff that didn't know anything about the cancellation, we called the resort, who stated that BookIt refused to transmit our payment (we paid in full at the time of the booking), so the reservation would be cancelled. During subsequent phone calls BookIt staff blamed the resort, and the resort continued to blamed BookIt. BookIt provided two options, to either get a refund or be re-booked at another property. When I asked what other resort options were available, they provided only one. We attempted to book directly with the resort, but only a week out the prices were significantly higher than when week booked months ago.

    Further complicating the situation, our friends and family had also booked at the property through other travel websites that are apparently better custodians of its customers' payments. The only options were to choose between telling our kids that we weren't going on vacation, although we are already packed, and going on a family vacation without our family. Thank you BookIt for ruining our vacation before it started. BookIt staff was apologetic, but their apologies were insincere and cold. I will never book through this website again and tell anyone who will listen about this debacle.

Then, when I attempted to rebook it, suddenly I couldn't because the flight was apparently not available, but instead of getting that info, it told me I had to call again.     I booked my family trip (6 members) in October for a vacation over christmas break. On Dec 25th I received a call that my reservation was cancelled due to non-payment by BookIt. After nearly 4 hours on the phone we had a new resort arranged by BookIt. We left on the 26th. When we arrived in Mexico at our resort they had no reservation for us and BookIt was unable to help. Only on the 28th and me supplying my credit card to the resort were we able to get the situation resolved. Very stressful and BookIt can provide no explanation on how they charged me for the trip but failed to pay the resort. I will never use this service again.

    I used BookIt for the first time, and last, to make a hotel reservation. I put the dates in incorrectly, my fault. I booked an additional day that we could not stay. I tried to correct it online within hours of making the reservation and BookIt wanted to penalize me one night's stay! One night is all I was cancelling! I called, held for 45 minutes for a representative who waived the one night penalty, but it cost me $25.00 to change the reservation. When I arrived at my destination, I had no room. Even though I was given a new confirmation number, my entire stay was cancelled, not just the one night. The hotel put me in a cheaper room, but BookIt already has my money for the suite I booked and I have not received information about a forthcoming credit. I do not recommend BookIt!!!

    Flight was cancelled at 11:30pm the night before we were suppose to leave. Our plane was scheduled to leave at 6:50 am. On top of our plane being cancelled, which I get isn't BOOKIt's fault, they failed to actually reserve our hotel room. So we lost a full day of travel time and resort time and they offered us a $100 credit voucher, when in total we lose $700 in real money for the day. They did nothing to help us.

    I am extremely displeased with BookIt.com. I booked my vacation six months in advance only to be notified by BookIt.com one week before departure that my reservation was no longer being honored at the Riu in Jamaica. I then called the Riu and they said that my reservation was in their system so I asked BookIt.com not relocate me. BookIt.com again tried to convince me that I could not stay at the Riu and still tried to relocate me so I called the Riu a few days later and they assured me that my reservation was still good and the only way it could be canceled was by my booking agent so I thought I was good to go.

    The day before my vacation I called the Riu a third time just to be safe and magically I had no reservation in their system any longer. This forced me to call BookIt.com again and relocate to a different resort. I do not appreciate the stress all of this chaos caused and feel like BookIt.com was being dishonest. I no longer trust this booking agent and will never use their services again and will warn family and friends of the experience I had.

    We traveled to PCB for the New Year!! I booked through BookIt.com. I made sure I choose a place with an indoor pool because of the weather. Positive: We got to check in a little early. Negative: We are not able to sleep in the bed because the box spring mattresses are broken and squeak loudly. There are two remotes and neither work. Worst of all, I was asked to pay $31.00 extra to use the pool, after paying $390.00 for the whole deal. The picture below clearly states/includes indoor/outdoor pool (The Unit PTP 1210 at Shores of Panama). I was told that if the owner doesn't want to fix things that have been reported, they can't do anything about that. I WANT TO KNOW WHY BOOKIT STILL ALLOWS PEOPLE TO RENT FROM THIS OWNER???

    Arrived December 25 to discover that Bookit.com had never transferred our payment to the hotel. So we were told to pay for the room again or get a hold of bookIt.com. It took 3 hours to get them to pay. How embarrassing. They would not give anything for the inconvenience either. The hotel services said they do this all the time. They may be going out of business so beware.

    I received an email New Year's Eve stating that my Jan. 10 reservations at the Iberostar Grand Resort in Montego Bay were canceled. I attempted to call the number and extension listed in the email over 20 times with no one answering the call. It just kept repeating the message to enter the extension. Out of frustration, I call the guest services number and got Clev at ext. **. He was able to get me relocated even though we were on the phone for over an hour. He was amazingly patient and took ownership to get me satisfied.

    I don't mind the cancellation because Bookit.com thought their customers were experiencing bad customer service but they should have several reps at the number indicated in the email and at least give the customer a free upgrade on one of the flight or tickets to an excursion. It's frustrating to get an email that your reservations were canceled and you are traveling in 7 days. The rating is for Clev at ext. **. Wishing you an early Happy Birthday, Jan. 7.     Very disappointed. Me and my family arrived at the hotel on 12/31/2015 @ 3:00 pm. Getting check in was a problem, the representative at the desk had to call BookIt to get some information. BookIt had us waiting on hold for fifty one minutes, ridiculous, and we finally reached someone explained the situation. She tried to put us on hold again, I refused. Me and my family was for an hour now, I just told the representative to just cancel our stay and I just paid for a room. Very disappointed. This the first this ever happen.     I booked a trip with BookIt.com on Sept 29. for 9 people leaving on Dec 25, 2015. I was called exactly one week before to say that the Riu in Montego Bay was not accepting their guests anymore and they need to relocate me. I was very upset because I really wanted to be in Montego Bay. They said they will try to get me into the Moon Palace in Ocho Rios and I was okay with that. Not happy but I didn't want to cancel my trip on my family after several day on calling and getting no answers as to where they would relocate me. Finally they called me on Dec 22, 2 days before my trip to say they have to refund my $ because they cannot find me a place not even Moon Palace. I got on the website that day and finally rebooked for additional $ because I didn't want my family again to be disappointed. I want all the excess $ I spent on those rooms reimbursed immediately.

    I'm totally disgusted with this company and I will definitely take this further if I don't not receive my $ back. This company has stressed me out considerably and this could have been avoided but no one wanted to help. I spoke to Shannon, Tiffany and Sandra. I have emails from them confirming they will find me somewhere but instead 2 days before my trip they left me with nothing. I had to overpay in order to get three rooms and I want my $ back. Thank you for taking care of this asap.

    Updated on 04/10/2016: Please know that a manager called me back, Janet ** regarding the issue and took absolutely no responsibility for the problems that I encountered which was in fact their fault because Rui in Jamaica did not want to accommodate their guests. I regret to inform you that this company has treated me in a very disgusting manner which I will never forget nor will I keep it to myself.     We booked an all-inclusive trip to the Riu Palace Paradise Island Bahamas thru BookIt.com. We opted to use the 2 payment option to pay for our trip where we paid 1/2 in November & 1/2 in December. Both payment transactions were processed against our credit card and we received an email we paid in full. So off to the Bahamas we went booked and paid for 27 Dec 2015 thru 01 Jan 2016.

    We arrived and Leisure Travel picked us up at the airport and dropped us at the Riu just like we planned. Upon check in, the hotel frontdesk manager said bookit.com cancelled our reservations and we had to pay for our room - AGAIN! I thought it was a joke! We attempted to call bookit.com and no one answered - of course it was a Sunday so no customer service or representative was available - just placed on permanent hold then hung up on.

    I sent an email asking bookit.com to contact us about our reservation at the Riu. In the meantime, our resolutions were to either pay for the hotel again, look for another place to stay or return home. Good thing we had the $3000+ to re-pay for our room and the Riu had availability. Apparently we were not alone, there were at least 4 other customers that had their reservations cancelled as well by bookit.com. We actually met one of the couples in our same situation.

    Bookit.com called us on Monday afternoon. They did not want to help us and required proof that we paid the Riu. They were not going to refund our payments without proof that we paid the Riu which should not have been the point where we stayed at that point since they took our money with good faith pay for our vacation. After 3 phone conversations and finally being "allowed" to talk to a supervisor we find out that bookit.com was aware of the hotel cancellation by Riu on 17 Dec 2015.

    Yes - this is a full 10 days before our trip was to begin. We were not contacted via phone or email by bookit.com to tell us that this happened. Bookit.com let us get on the plane and fly to a resort that our reservation was cancelled. We demanded that bookit.com refund our money immediately which they denied. After several minutes and debate about the fact that bookit.com committed fraud, they agreed to refund our money that day. We are still contemplating contacting the FTC to report bookit.com on grounds of fraud.

    I was very disappointed with my experience. I booked a hotel + air vacation. Our airline tickets were not reserved due to a "glitch" in the system. I do understand these things happen. However I was surprised when I heard your company would not be reserving our flights once the problem was fixed. This forced me to make my own airline reservations at a higher price. I was very nervous about trusting the entire reservation so I cancelled it. At my request you did waive the cancellation charges.     First of all I would say please stay away for bookit.com. The money you might save if you book with them is not worth it. I booked my stay to Cancun in August 2015 for December holidays. One day before the I am supposed to fly, I got a call that my hotel booking is cancelled (Omni Cancun). I spoke with the hotel and the reason was Bookit never paid for the hotel. So, Bookit made a new booking to Barcelo Maya Palace hotel in Riviera Maya, and agreed to pay the difference. That is the only reason I agreed to go ahead with my plans. I arrive at the hotel on Dec 25 2015 at 11:30 pm and the hotel staff informed me that they have NO information about my reservation. They allowed me to stay in the hotel for that night. Next day they confirmed the reservation after talking to Bookit.

    On Jan 1 2016, at 4 am when I am trying to check out, I get the news that the hotel never received any payment from Bookit. After fighting with them for 30 mins and no option but to pay or leave my flight, I paid for the hotel stay. I came back home and called Bookit and they conveniently apologized and said they will refund the original payment I made for hotel, which is half the amount I paid for the stay. Also Bookit agreed to pay for the difference and that is the only reason I agreed to carry on with my vacation.

    They are conveniently getting away with this and I will not rest till this comes out in public in all the forums and news. I will make it a point to keep spreading the word about the most unprofessional treatment I have seen from any company in US. Bookit should be closed because of their reputation. I hope this message reaches as many people as possible and they stop going to their website for any kind of booking.

    The hotel booking/reservation was completed on 2/18 for a check-in date of 12/30 - 10 months in advance of travel. Hotel had no record of a reservation having been booked, let alone paid for in full, for the given booking ID, customer name or a reservation completed with the hotel's reservation area. This was quite embarrassing when trying to check-in with many people in the lobby and waiting in line to complete their check-ins. Had to step out of line and wait approximately 20 minutes for the front desk staff to communicate with another area to find the booking information and record of a hotel room available to us for our pre-paid room reservation. It was an unpleasant beginning to a holiday celebration event. Will not recommend the use of bookIt.com in the future to any friends and/or family.

    My husband booked our first anniversary trip to Cancun and paid for it in full 3 months before our departure. 6 days before we were to depart Bookit.com contacts us to cancel our booked accommodations at the Riu but would move us to Barcelo Mayo Colonial. When we arrived, the ground transport doubted that we were staying there as they had us still at the Riu. We get to Barcelo and they have no record of us being booked at the Colonial and sent us to the Caribe who then sent us back to Colonial. 4 hours later we are booked in our room and our vacation began.

    However, the day before we checked out the hotel notified us that Bookit had not paid for our stay and that we would be responsible for paying the entire rate, which we paid already in October, plus our additional incidentals! We do not have that $2k+ and must pay that to checkout! We are stranded! I've called accounts payable that was supposed to fix this and nothing has happened yet. I've also talked and emailed with an agent directly all day. Nothing is resolved and we need to leave by 4am! This is the worst experience ever. Due to all of this running around my husband and I have lost nearly 2 days of our vacation and loads of money being on hold internationally by phone. No one picks up at their numbers and we've been on hold more than 4 hours today alone.

    Had a great experience booking the trip and talking to the agent on the phone to finalize payment details. Love that you can set up payments and love the special coupons. Have had to make a change to the itinerary due to medical reasons and have been trying to cancel first booking and replace it with a second one. It doesn't let me cancel online and says I have to call. When I call I have been on hold for over 15 minutes twice. I believe there may have been weather delay going on. Frustrating to try to make these changes.

    It also says in the recording that I can cancel online and that if I don't, and I call, I will be charged a fee. This doesn't make sense since it won't let me cancel online. To be fair, I expect this will be clarified when I do finally get to speak to someone. Generally I have been very impressed with BookIt and will definitely use again, as soon as I can figure out how to get through to someone and get my necessary changes through.     Nightmare!!! 6 of us booked a trip to Cabo San Lucas in May 2015 for January 2016. We had a confirmation for air and hotel, and payment was received in full in May. A week before our departure, we tried to call the hotel to verify and couldn't get through so contacted BookIt, and they said all was good a week ago. Today, contacted the hotel directly and "No Reservation." No one's name on our list is known to the hotel. Call back to BookIt who said we were confirmed at hotel. I told them direct contact with hotel said, "Wrong! No reservation."

    They then said they would offer alternate hotel as the one we were booked for was full. They then asked for a credit card for the second hotel. I refused and said they (BookIt) had been paid in May, so I wasn't giving them another credit card #. I told them it sounded like a scam, theft or fraud...choose one! Said if they got another call, it would be from my attorney. Action was fairly immediate after that comment. My advice: Don't use BookIt!!! A nightmare!!

    Beware! This is not an ocean front hotel room as Described. It is 3 condo buildings down from the ocean. You have an ocean view between the rows of condos. Cannot hear the ocean and am very disappointed. I was very specific on being assured it was on the ocean front, but the owner has been deceiving about it being such. The floor in bathroom grungy, bar stools stained and dirty looking. Fridge is rusted around the door, no dishwasher, no toilet paper holder. Sliding door lock does not work. Not quality I was looking for. I have stayed at this resort many times and was satisfied, but not this time.

    Booked a vacation (2nd time) through this agency. They called to switch my reservation to a different resort hours before I was to leave. I was attending the resort for a wedding and could not switch. They knew of the "issue" causing them to switch all reservations with Riu hotels to different resorts for days but phoned me last minute. They spoke to the resort (as did I) and confirmed there would be no issue with my reservation.

    I showed up and they had canceled it on me. Had to pay thousands out of pocket. No communication from the company. Had to wait on hold for 40-60 minutes each time I called them. Had to call them and argue for a refund upon my return from the vacation. They disputed the amount of the refund, gave me three different, conflicting excuses as to why, and then indicated what I had in writing was not what they were seeing in their system and they would be happy to waive a fee and provide me with the "accurate" breakdown. It's been several days. I have yet to receive this. I have written to their executive for further resolution. They were rude on the phone and incredibly unprofessional to deal with and did not care about the impact they had on their customers.

    Booked my trip through the phone, the gentleman named Raymond was very nice. Although he spelled my friend's last name wrong (who was sitting right next to me) and I tried to call back. I was on hold for an hour and half before anyone even talked to me... Then the lady I got Coleen was extremely unprofessional and very rude. And did not know what she was doing. As she told me that the guest is suppose to call the airline services directly to change the name, so I did that and they told me only the people you book it through are allowed to do it? Shouldn't she be aware of that?

    So overall I was on hold for 3 hours 10 minutes total. And was then told that I would get a call back from the supervisor, I never received one. But I did receive an email telling me that the spelling was my fault? I'm pretty sure she and I know how to spell her last name. Just know I will never be booking through this company again, and I will be telling all my family friends to never go through BookIt.com, as their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. I'm honestly not even excited to go on my trip through this company, because of what I had to go through to get it.

    I travel a lot and I've used a lot of travel sites. First time I used BookIt.com and I will never ever use them again. I book my trip while calling them, then I called them back to confirm it was all ok and they said "Oh sorry, we don't have your flight booked" after I already received email confirmation. They said "Oh sorry, it was a system issue" whatever that means. So they wanted me to purchase another $900 airfare thru AA and then I'd get my other airfare credited back to me in 2 weeks. I spent $2600 for a vacation hotel and flight and then because of their mistakes they were like "Oh we will call American Airlines and book you other tickets for an additional $900 and you'll get your flight credited from us in 2 weeks".

    I was on the phone for 3 hours trying to get help with the worst and most stupid operator who NONE could transfer me to an American operator. Worst experience for booking. If I didn't call back I would've went to airport with no flight. They didn't even send me an email or anything saying it. I had to call. Worst site. And any site who you can't be directed to a supervisor and/or a U.S representative is bad to begin with. This site is a scam.

    I booked a mystery room and pricing information was purposely omitted. The room was offered at $65, with Florida state sales tax at 6%. The total should have been $68.90. However the sales tax and other charges including a parking fee, which I will pay upon check-in and did not know about until after completing the non-refundable reservation, the total is going to $ 93.00... which is 43% more than the bait-and-switch price advertised. I made darn sure my profile and the booking read as my passport. Now I get my confirmation from bookit.com and my middle name is missing from it. No worries, I think, cause it says to print the voucher from the link provided. Off to the link I go... to find my name printed out wrong, half my middle name missing. Now I've been on hold for 20 minutes, so far, to talk to someone and find out if I have a problem. Which would not be my fault. Not impressed so far. What seemed like a trouble free way to book a trip has turned into a hassle.

    Website could be a little more user friendly re: airline payments. We needed to pay for the tickets separately and using separate credit cards so we could then put the hotel on a payment plan. Unfortunately, we had to call in to do this. Not sure why the option is not there to pay the airline using separate cards first-then book the hotel instead of having to call in. The girl we spoke to, however, was patience personified. She took good care of us and answered all our question (and I know we were on her last nerve!). Lol. She was pretty doggone awesome!!!

Now it is one week till they depart, and they called BookIt.com to confirm their reservations. BookIt.com did confirm the reservation. They then called Riu Palace to double-check, and they were informed they did have not reservations. BookIt.com and Riu Palace had a contract, it but it has expired and Riu Palace are not accepting reservations made thru BookIt. The Riu Palace does not have any rooms available for the dates of their honeymoon. BookIt.com never notified them of this problem. They had to find it out for themselves. Do NOT use this website!

    If anyone is thinking of using Bookit.com for a vacation, you might want to rethink those plans. We just used Bookit for annual holiday trip to Mexico for our extended family of ten people. The trip was all paid for in advance but when we got to the hotel we were told that Bookit hadn't paid the hotel, so the hotel said we had no rooms unless we paid again.

    One of the hotel staff said this had been a problem with all Bookit reservations that day and it was because of a feud going on between the hotel and Bookit. Apparently Bookit.com has no problem taking your money weeks in advance, but they do have a problem paying on the other end. It took a three-hour international cell phone call to get this resolved. The hotel refused to even let us use their phone. Bookit.com gave zero explanation about why this happened. They definitely don't seem to give a crap about customer service. The only compensation they offered was a $100 credit for future use, like we would even consider using them. That wouldn't even cover the cost of the phone call. Very unprofessional to put the customer into their disputes. Use this company at your own risk, knowing that they don't really give a crap about the customer.

    We booked an 8 night package with BookIt.com for Paradisus La Perla. We arrived at our hotel and they refused to check us in because BookIt.com didn't forward them the funds for our stay. There were 2 other parties that booked on BookIt.com and suffered the same experience. As it's Christmas prices are high and availability is low. The hotel offered us the hotel at the BookIt rate of $4984 US for our stay. We had to pay that amount on top of what BookIt charged us just so we a roof over our head and our vacation wasn't ruined.

    We spent hours on hold trying to solve the issue on our cell phone ($$) hoping we could resolve the issue with BookIt. We hung up after being on hold for 2 hours and paid the $4984. BookIt has to be the worst company I have dealt with and failing to pay the hotel where you booked is completely unacceptable. We were lucky enough to have $5000 room on our credit card, but for many this wouldn't be an option. BookIt.com is potentially putting people in harm's way in addition to ruining their vacation.

I was told "too late, airfare has been booked." I missed an appointment that day because it took more than one and a half hours to complete. The room is in major need of maintenance.     When our family arrived at the Ocean Sand & Beach Resort in Bavaro, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on 12/19/15, we were told that there was no payment from Bookit for our stay and we weren't the only family for whom Bookit didn't pay. As a courtesy from the hotel, we were allowed to stay under one condition - the copy of our credit card. We had an appointment to come back on Monday and confirm that the issue has been resolved. We didn't receive any clarification and had to call Bookit again next day.

Then the representative asked to transfer the call over to the reservation desk at the hotel. When we clarified what sort of confirmation was provided to the hotel, we were told that nothing was resolved and Bookit representative told them that they are still working on the issue. 6 days later, we have been told that our credit card will be charged directly by the hotel. Right now it looks like we're paying double for the same vacation!!!

    Paid BookIt 60 days before our vacation. Arrived at the resort and front desk manager came out to inform me BookIt had not paid for my room! I called Bookit and after 1 hour on the phone, they finally paid the hotel for my reservation and when I asked for an explanation they hung up on me. The hotel said they deal with this all the time from Bookit! The hotel was awful and Bookit totally misrepresented this place.     I booked a room at the Riu in Ocho Rios months ago and received a confirmation. I'm due to travel tomorrow. Last night I receive a call stating that the Riu is no longer honoring their bookings and that they will relocate me at a different hotel in Montego Bay. The customer service person had me on hold for 20 mins and promised me that someone will call me first thing in the morning to confirm my new reservation. This is not the same all inclusive we paid for 10 months earlier. They took my money, sold me one thing and then at the last minute tried to deliver something different and not comparable.     I can say without a doubt, this is the most UNPROFESSIONAL JOKE OF A BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! Two days before we head to our "dream vacation" they CANCEL our reservations without being able to provide a legitimate excuse, claiming the Riu Cancun suddenly cancelled their contract with BookIt (apparently for good reason because this company is a SCAM). Then, after hours of speaking to their "representative", if you can even call her that because she clearly has NO idea about customer service nor how to do her job, she regrets to inform us that we can either wait for a return phone call the next day, ONE day before our vacation, to confirm a new hotel, accept a downgrade of our package or cancel our vacation entirely.

    I'm supposed to drop what I am doing as I prepare for my sister's graduation ceremony and research a new vacation? A vacation that took WEEKS to plan?! No perks, no upgrades and certainly no way to FIX the situation. When asked to speak to a manager, "They have all gone home." HOW CONVENIENT! A business that has NO MANAGEMENT?! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. At 5:30 on a Thursday night their management has all conveniently left for the evening and they refuse to contact them to address the issue at hand.

    You have now successfully turned what was supposed to be a phenomenal vacation with my family into a headache and DISASTER. NEVER have I ever received such CRAPPY customer service in my life. Your agency is a FREAKING JOKE!!! So I encourage all to avoid, avoid, AVOID this company. Save yourself the hassle and BOOK WITH SOMEBODY ELSE! Share at your will.     I ignored the BBB reviews about this company and gave them my money anyway. Big mistake. When I arrived at my Cancun hotel they informed me that they had cancelled my reservation the previous day due to a failure to pay. I called BookIt and after 40 min on the phone they payed up with the hotel. The hotel told me this was happening with all the hotels in Cancun. The good news was that the Flamingo Hotel upgraded my room to the ocean side at no charge. Never again!

    I searched for a flight+hotel on Bookit.com from Boston to Cancun, and got a message on my browser asking me to call Bookit.com for a "special" flight deal. I called them and the agent sent me the deal over email. However, I found another better flight on Bookit.com so went ahead and made my booking. I emailed the agent back letting her know that I had booked. She responded saying that she had an even better deal and that I should call her. So I did. The agent made me cancel a booking I already had, assuring me a full refund, so I could get a better deal. She told me that everything was confirmed on my new booking and that my old booking was completely cancelled. None of the 2 were true.

    1st phone call: I booked a new package on the phone, then she transferred me to the cancellation dept. I logged in the next day to notice the my old booking only showed hotel cancelled. The flights with AA still showed confirmed. Also, with the new booking that she had made, the Delta flights did not have a PNR number or a ticket number attached.

    2nd phone call: I called Bookit.com, again, and was told that the flight has to be manually cancelled, which I wasn't told the first time. They manually cancelled it and apparently that's when the cancellation actually went through. Following that, they transferred me to the loss and prevention dept. in order to get Delta flight PNR. Apparently the system wasn't working, so they transferred me, AGAIN, to customer service or sales. Those guys told me that they needed to send info to the ticketing people so I could get tickets. They also told me that I should have the PNR number by EOD yesterday. Of course that didn't happen.

    3rd phone call: So I called Bookit.com, yet again, and found out that my flight tickets were never booked. So I had hotels but no flights!! She had assured me that the flights were confirmed! The agent offered to go to the Delta website and book my flight again. I had to go over my card details and passenger details all over again. Finally when that was done, I go online and check my credit card, and I've been charged for 4 seats!! Seems like the system finally came back to life and booked me for 4 seats on the same flights.

    4th phone call: So my husband called Bookit.com, AGAIN, and had to go over the entire thing again! I wasn't expecting the cancellation and rebooking to be such a headache! The agent had assured me that everything was confirmed. She told me the refund would take a couple of days, and I haven't received it yet. This has been such a pain!!

    Summary: BookIt charged my Credit card for $5874.xx for a vacation, but when I didn't get an email confirmation the next day, and called them, they did not have ANY record of my vacation and when they offered to re-book me, they tried to sell me the same exact vacation for $8000+. Not Good Service! Specific Details: On November 30th, 2015 (Cyber Monday), I followed a promotional email to Bookit.com to look for good deals on all inclusive Caribbean vacations. I went through the search process, and found a vacation I was interested in, but there was no way to guaranty that we would have adjoining rooms, and we have a 10 month old, so we really need an adjoining room.

    I called the BookIt Support #, and spoke with 'Theodessa'. I gave her my search # and she pulled up my search, and read out the dates, departures and arrivals for our flights, the room level etc and even the price. She explained that they couldn't guarantee, but they could put in the request, and she offered to call the Malia hotel for me to see if they could offer a guarantee. Unfortunately when she put me on hold it disconnected. So after 10 minutes without a call back, I called BookIt again. This time another woman helped me, I believe her name was Alana(?). She basically said the same thing, and so I ended up calling Malia directly, and when they also refused to guarantee the adjoining rooms, I decided to go ahead with BookIt since it had the flights I wanted too and was a little bit less expensive than buying flights and hotel separately.

    I proceeded through the check out process, filled out all the required info, and got to the payment option and decided to try PayPal credit (because of the 18 months 0% financing offer). I agreed to get transferred to PayPal (which I have done a million times before), and completed the rest of the payment info. When I clicked submit on PayPal I got a processing signal, and then complete, but it didn't take me back to the BookIt page. So I pressed the refresh button and I got a notice that I couldn't refresh the page. So I went to my email to see if I had gotten a confirmation. I had received a confirmation from PayPal for the $5874.xx transaction, but I didn't receive a confirmation email from BookIt. It was late, so I went to bed thinking that BookIt may be busy with Cyber Monday, and have delayed emails.

    When I got up the next morning and still didn't have an email, I called BookIt at 8:15 am (but they don't open until 9 am), So I called again around 3:30 pm and ended up spending 40 + minutes on the phone because BookIt had absolutely NO record of any of my previous calls, or even any of my details regarding the vacation I had attempted to book the day before. The BookIt Customer Service Rep called PayPal, and PayPal confirmed that I had been charged $5874.xx on the previous night from BookIt. The BookIt Rep ask PayPal to cancel my transaction, and then asked me if I wanted to rebook. I wasn't sure, but ended up saying to "go ahead", because I was not able to get the same prince to come up when I was searching. After the Rep got all of my details about flight times, hotel, passengers, etc, she then informed me that the price for the package was over $8000.....

    I understand that travel prices change, but I am very frustrated that I spent hours and hours selecting and booking my vacation, was charged for it, and then BookIt did not bother to save ANY of my information, and would not stand by the price that they had already charged my PayPal Account. Recommended Improvements: 1. Keep track of your customer service calls (All of them). 2. Keep record of your customers that attempt to check out (honestly this is best practices for marketing to abandoned carts!!!) 3. Stand by the prices you charge on peoples credit cards, especially when one of your payment partners confirms that the amount was charged on the customers account.

    We just returned from a trip to Jamaica. We have booked the last 10 trips through BookIt. Something has changed with BookIt. My last trip the airline seats that I chose were not available and I had to pay $250.00 extra to get a seat with my husband. My prior vacation our seats weren't available and we were placed in seats apart from each other. I spoke with BookIt and they are unwilling to compensate us for the extra money we spent. DON'T BOOK AIR THROUGH BOOKIT!!! We will never use them again!!!

    BEWARE. Bookit.com DOES NOT stand behind their customers! I had an issue at the car rental counter and they offered no assistance. I was traveling with a disabled person and had no choice but deal with the car rentals terms. I called 1st thing in the morning and was told to fight it out with the car rental! ACE RENT A CAR OF FLORIDA also refused to assist. A $58.60 booking became a $208.13 charge! Bookit used CarTrawler for the booking. I would say stay away from all three! Bookit has found a way to set you up to fail! Ripped off Michigan Resident.

    On September 5, 2015 I booked a flight for my cousin and her husband. I immediately noticed the same amount of $612.36 was charged to my account twice. I called BookIt and was assured that the transaction would drop off of my account. This was not true. My account cleared two different transactions in the equal amounts of $612.36, totaling $1,224.72 on September 8th. I called the company to inquire about this additional charge and was told an email was sent September 6th to my cousin (which she never received) stating that the same flights were "double booked" and I would receive a refund of $612.36 in 3-5 business days but could take up to 14 days depending on my bank. I called multiple times over several days to inquire about why it was taking so long to return my money that was basically stolen from me. I did not book multiple flights. There was no reason for this to have happened.

    On September 24 I called again and another agent told me it would take up to 60 days for my reimbursement. I was very upset at this point. I was placed on hold again for over 30 minutes only to hang up and call back because the representatives are obviously trained to place callers on hold in order to avoid. The next agent told me it would take 3-5 business days for my return and I yet again expressed I was frustrated because I should have received my return by now. She placed me on hold and came back only to tell me that I should receive a credit from the airline!

    This is totally unacceptable being that I DID NOT book anything twice! I was then told by the same agent that because the flight was cancelled within 12 hours that I should receive a full refund. She placed me on hold for about 30 minutes to contact the airline. When she returned she stated that I would be receiving a full refund from the airline within 7-10 business days. The email was sent to my cousins' address before she spoke with me. After all I've been through I do not trust that this is even true. It should not take over 30 days to receive money that should have never been taken. The above information was submitted to the BBB on September 24th. Only after having to contact them was I able to speak with someone I could understand and receive my refund on September 28th! #NEVER USE BOOKIT.COM

    In May we booked our vacation for the third week of October at Grand Princess Sunset resort in Playa Del Carmen through BookIt. We have confirmation emails from BookIt and we called Grand Princess to confirm our reservations a few weeks before the trip. We arrived at the hotel about 10:30 at night to be told BookIt had not sent the money for our stay and we would have to either let them put a $1700 hold on a major credit card or pay $850 cash to cover a 2 night stay until BookIt's offices opened on Monday to "resolve the issue." We had no major credit card with us nor did we have that much cash.

    After several minutes of arguing with the hotel and several unsuccessful attempts to contact BookIt we agreed to a hold on our debit card of $850 that remained on hold until we ended our stay. BookIt called to apologize and blamed the hotel. The hotel blamed BookIt. I'm glad we did have some cash to spend otherwise our money would have been held hostage the entire time. I would not book with BookIt again.

    Stay away from Bookit.com!!! I booked an all-inclusive 6-day vacation for 2 people to Las Vegas staying at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas hotel. I called Bookit to inquire about the drinks included with my vacation only to be told my vacation is not all-inclusive. These were my options as far as they were concerned: 1- full refund. 2- $100 credit and submit food and drink receipts after my vacation and they would decide on the back end if I would be reimbursed. 3- $250 credit with Bookit for future use and $250 refund.

    If they just offered the $500 refund that would possibly be an option for consideration. According to the hotel breakfast can cost $27 to $35 plus tax. So lunch and dinner are probably a lot more not to mention drink costs. At this point the fight and room for the dates reserved are no longer available or considerably higher. I am glad that I printed the advertisement from their website because they tried to deny they even sold me an all-inclusive vacation. A customer service representative had the audacity to say all-inclusive meant hotel and airfare. As I explained to the customer service manager Shawn $250 credit is useless since currently I have not interest of purchasing through their website in the future. I just wanted what I paid for or something comparable not insulting offers.

    We have traveled several times with Bookit.com. However this trip has had three huge errors. The worse of the errors... Bookit.com kept my charge card number and charged over a thousand dollars without reason, permission or even due. They had NO right to charge this amount and all they want to do is say, "I AM SORRY" and give me a $100 coupon to book another trip within 12 months. I told them, "I can not book another trip within 12 months," and they know that. Nor would I book with them again... EVER.

    I have spent hours and hours talking with them. Made phone appointments with them to discuss, and they did not call. I called and was on hold 20 min. and was told, "I am sorry. Received two confirmations for a trip saying nothing was due and it had two bookings for my husband and I at the same time, different place. One paid, one owing. "Sorry, system error." They said one was last year's trip. They have lied, stole, and disappointed. They say I can't cancel. But I am scared to go to Mexico with them now, when they can not be trusted.     I book a hotel resort for 9 people. But since they could only book 3 rooms at a time I had to do 2 separate bookings of a five rooms in total 3 in one booking and 2 on another. They gave me this PayDelay plan that breaks your payment in two so it be more flexible and gives you time to pay for the whole thing. Ok. The lady said the first payment would be on the 18 of Sep. Fine I paid for that. Then the next payment was supposed to be the 25 she said. So I went to deposit the money on the 24 so that they charge for a final time. When I check my email it says one of the bookings is cancelled because the payment was being charged on to my card by the 23 when this lady clearly said Sep 25.

    So I called them, a lady picks up, she tolds me that the booking is nonrefundable so half of that paid trip just went out the window then she says my only option is to book again. And so I did coz I've had no choice since half the family had their rooms and another half didn't. Ok I told her "yes book me up again." And here it comeeesss... she says "sorry there no more room in this hotel." Over 400 dollars lost because we can't go there coz of the room shortage. There goes my wallet.     I booked 2 months ago at Grand Riviera Princess Cancun through BookIt and at the time I was checking carefully about the activities the room I picked. I called customer care and I asked them for the room I wanted to pay - it doesn't include all the places the children swimming pool. I asked them "can I access or not?" and the answer I got it was, "oh don't worry about that. You access everything." The only difference is for what you paying is your room. It's a bit smaller than the others." I called them again the next day because I wanted to make sure if I was able to access that swimming pool because I was going in family vacation, and another agent assured me that yes. When I arrived at the hotel and I went at the family club they told me "you can't go in because you didn't Pay for that. If you want to there you have to pay $10 each person."

    I was so pissed off I called BookIt. I explain to them and after that one lady she told me "I'll speak with my managers" my phone hang up and she didn't even try to call me back. I called them back and I got the answer "the lady you spoke is in lunch break, leave message." I left a message but I didn't have any call back. I called again another agent answered and I had to explain him again. He told me the same thing "I will speak to my managers and I will call you back," and he never called. Also when I booked it WiFi free but when we asked at the hotel they told us it costs $20 per device a day. So I wasted the whole day of my vacation and I didn't get any solution from those liars.     Writing a positive review because everyone else here seems to complain. We did a 2-night getaway, and Bookit.com had a slightly better price PLUS they included daily food and drink credits for the resort! I was taken aback by all the negative reviews, but if you google "Hotwire.com reviews" or "Priceline.com reviews" (both VERY reliable sites), they are wildly negative as well. The bottom line: do your homework, people. Read the fine print. Read reviews on the hotel you are booking. Take screenshots of the terms & conditions if you feel nervous. If it says "no cancellations", don't get mad and leave negative reviews when you can't cancel without a penalty. Our experience with Bookit.com was great, and yours will be too if you only read and understand the details.

    Not only does BookIt not follow through with your "reservations", but they also have TERRIBLE customer service and refuse to refund your "reservation". I thought I booked a room through BookIt at the Hotel Pennsylvania in NYC; I booked it around 8 pm and I received a confirmation email. Then, I got to the hotel around 3 hours later to find that I didn't have a room.

    I then spent the next three hours on the phone with their customer service, who puts you on hold and claims to be "calling the hotel", but they never actually called Hotel Pennsylvania. Instead, they put you on hold indefinitely until you hang up and recall, so the cycle starts again. Around 1 am, I still had no room, so I asked them to cancel the reservation, and they told me I wouldn't get a refund. I had no reservation, no room, and I wasted over 3 hours of my vacation in NYC trying to get BookIt to make my reservation. So what was I paying for? Nothing. BookIt is a scam and I will never use it again.

    I had to cancel a reservation due to a death in the family. I was given a credit. But when I went to redeem was charged changing fees, booking fees and was charge $220 more per person for the same flight I could have got online from airline site. Please beware of this company very bait and switch tactics...

    Made a reservation with BookIt that took about 2 hours on the phone with a representative. We leave for Playa del Carmen in Riviera Maya, Mexico and check in at El Tukan Resort and BEACH Club. El Tukan is only a roach motel and not a resort as they portrait on website. Not a beach club either as the beach is about 8 blocks away and very dirty as it is a public beach and not a club. Getting back to the resort, this dump smells like urine and feces in every hallways and staircases. The rooms were smaller than a closet with no towels, no phone and no wifi (Bookit says "free wifi"). Mexico is very hot and air conditioner was broken and leaking in our luggage. Asked management to move us to another room but all the room are all the same and all below acceptable level. After several moves around this resort, we decided to settle in and contacted Bookit as they advertise as 100% satisfaction guarantee.

    We sent an email on day of arrival 7/20/15 and we didn't receive a reply. We decided to contact them by phone on Monday morning 7/21/15 and after several hang ups and hours on the phone, we were told by a customer agent to check out and that she was going to move us at Dreams Buenaventura. We pay for a cab out of pocket and head to Dreams only to find out that there were no reservations under our names and that the last two rooms (we were traveling with another couple) were just booked by someone else.

    Here we are at Dreams with no place to stay and it was getting late in the afternoon. Management at Dreams was nice enough to allow us to use the phone, internet and drink to make our plans. We're on the phone with Bookit for at least another 2 hours and were hang up. Called again and lasted another 1 1/2 hours only to be told that El Tukan resort never released the funds and therefore we could be accommodated. At the end we ended up making reservations thru Expedia.com and moved to a nearby resort at our own expense. We are now disputing the charges with our credit card company. WE will never use BookIt again and will make sure that anyone in the world that we know will NOT use this company again.

    I booked a room from BookIt and the charge was going to be $536.47 and it would be charged to my credit card if I was satisfied with the amount. So I BOOKED IT and my conformation number came up. And the billing information... Well I was charged $667.47. So I called BookIt and told them my issue. Well they didn't care at all so I told them to cancel my reservation. They said it would be $25.00 plus the $19.95 cancellation fee. I explained that the amount that I agreed to and the amount charged wasn't the same. They said they couldn't do anything... NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE BOOKIT they are fraudulent in their pricing.

    Reserved a room for 2 nights for a party of 5. At check in only got a double. Hotel was booked solid w/no cots. Picture on site showed double w/ sleeper sofa. Was on hold 30 min w/ Bookit only to be told a supervisor would contact me.That call never came. Used Bookit before never had a problem. Truly disappointed.

    Do not use this online company. I researched all day before deciding on BookIt. My problem - I didn't research their reviews first. My $5000 credit line credit card was denied so I called. I was told by the representative that my billing zip code didn't match my address so he would help me book. He did and when it came to process he said I was declined again. I called my Discover card service center, they told me there was no problem with my card but I had 2 separate holds each for $658 for US Airways. So while on the phone with the Discover Card rep I asked the BookIt rep to give me the confirmation numbers so she could cancel these holds. He tells me there aren't any because the card did not process. UNBELIEVABLE!!! So my Discover Card rep has to call US Airways to get this removed. I'm still having problems with the hold on my card. NEVER AGAIN. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.
