I have been trying to contact this company on 3 occasions! For time I was on hold for 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and today 25 minutes! This is unacceptable when all I am trying to do is upgrade my trip! I NO LONGER WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! What kind of piss poor customer service is this?? No place to email to contact! Just one number and I am on hold forever!! I am currently still on hold! Cancel my trip and I refuse to pay a cancelation fee! How dare you? I will also report this to Yelp as I am a writer, TripAdvisor and the Better Business Bureau. I will be waiting for a response but based on your track record I probably will not get one! **This is the 4th place I left this information and still nobody has responded!!!**

We booked a hotel at the Holiday Inn Arenas in Cancun, Mexico. A day later we found another resort we wanted to stay in instead. I called BookIt.com and the woman who helped us was awesome! She listened to my concerns and helped figure everything out in a matter of 20 minutes. We got the resort and didn't have to spend too much extra! Thank you so much.

For my daughter's 21st birthday, we were looking for an all-inclusive resort to take 8 people to in Cancun, Mexico. After searching around, BookIt.com had the best prices. First, we wanted 4 rooms. After sitting on hold, we were told only 3 rooms could be booked at a time (meaning the operator could do the same I could - plug info in and click search). That was call #1. Then we wanted to book and split payment. We were told that payment could be applied on up to 8 credit cards since 8 guests were attending. Thanked and hung up to get payment in order.
Got all 8 people to agree. Called back, and was told no. All payment had to be upfront on one card. Okay. We'll do that. Try to book a resort, are told there's an error and a manager is called. After waiting, we are told that all the rooms are booked and the hotel we want is unavailable, but is still listed for some reason! Okay. We'll just find another hotel. We finally find another hotel in our price range, and book it for $3282. Yay. We should be done! Nope. My account was charged for $4376, NOT the amount I authorized or was billed for which is ILLEGAL.
I call Bookit AGAIN! And am told that the hotel billed us that. Well after explaining the price discrepancy as well as the fact that my account is now being charged an overdraft fee, I am put on hold. After speaking to 3 different people, I am told my reservation will be canceled and refunded in 7-10 business days. I ask "what about the fact that this is illegal and now I have overdraft fees"; I am put on hold. After sitting on the phone for 1 hour and 36 minutes, Ella (who refused to give me her extension), hung up on me! I then sat on hold for another hour before being disconnected again. I left a message with the executive office and am still awaiting an apology. An acknowledgment. Something. Very unsatisfied and we now have a flight booked to Mexico and nowhere to go.

We reserved a 3 night stay through BookIt.com on 9/14/2015. Upon our arrival at our hotel on 12/29/2015, the front desk would not check us in due to lack of payment from BookIt.com! It took us over 40 minutes waiting time to finally speak to BookIt.com customer service. Our hotel had tried to contact BookIt.com many times prior to our arrival and each time received credit card information, which were declined in retrospect every time. Our hotel (Quality Suites) decided to cancel contracts with BookIt.com for 2016 on due to the repetitiveness of not getting payment up front.
When asked to speak to the BookIt.com accounting staff, they declined stating they were not authorized to speak to me. All my follow up calls took at least 30 minutes waiting time and no supervisor has stepped up to apologize. This ruined my day and first day of vacation. For BookIt.com to sit on customer’s money for over 3 months is unacceptable and breaching their contract with the hotel. Having me as hotel guest wait forever in their waiting lines is unacceptable!

Shelley was helpful while I made this booking. But today I called the hotel to confirm and they told me that my booking has been cancelled because BOOKIT.com did not pay them. I am disappointed because my credit card has been charged full amount and I still do not have the confirmation of my booking at the hotel. I have to fly next week and I do not know if my hotel is booked or not.

I am needing to TALK with an agent and after 4 phone calls, am still on extended hold, with no one picking up the line to help me with an existing booking. This is my second time using BookIt. My experience with BookIt.com was a very good one. It is simple to use and gives all the important information. The one thing I wish BookIt.com had more of is reviews for the hotels. If I visit the hotel's main webpages I see all the reviews, which is very helpful, but BookIt.com does not have reviews, at least for the hotels I looked at. Reviews are a great tool for choosing a hotel or company to work with.

I discovered that an error had been made when I received confirmation of the above booking by email. I discovered "BookIt.com" as I made arrangements to travel to Panama City, Panama after I was notified that my father had suddenly died on 01/13/2016. You advertised the convenience of travel and accommodations, all with one click. I fell for it and paid $1,600.00+.
A request was made, for travel to start on 01/16/16 with a return on 01/23/16. However, confirmation of my return reflects a stay over. My intent for was in Miami from 7:50 pm on 01/23/16 with a departure on 01/24/16 at 4:40 pm. This was not my intent nor was it what you advertised. In addition, I checked the Doubletree by Hilton Panama City to confirm my reservation. The hotel DOES NOT have a confirmation of my stay.
THE PROBLEM: I am in a wheelchair, disabled and traveling alone. This is an URGENT matter. I have not been able to reach anyone at "BookIt". I remained on the phone for 2 hrs., to no avail. Please, I need your assistance to resolve the issues identified. I've read the current "complain Blog". It IS NOT POSITIVE feedback. Please, I do not want to contribute to the ongoing negative feedback about the services offered "BookIt".

I decided to go with the multiple payment option on your site. The final payment for my trip was flagged as fraud and did not go through. Instead of contacting me about it BookIt just cancelled my trip. After 6 phone calls to BookIt each lasting over a hour I had to spend 1300 extra to go on the same vacation. During the first 3 phone calls I was given no assistance in solving the problem. I was told Sherona was the manager on duty and her team was trying to resolve my issue and would call me back later that day. She never called back and never resolved my issue.

Booked through BookIt.com for a trip to the Riviera Maya at the hotel but Luxury Bahia Principe. When we got to hotel we were told that they needed a credit card because BookIt.com has not paid them. Was very stressful because the hotel was going to charge our card again even though we had proof that BookIt.com already been paid. Staff was not at all helpful with the problem. After spending a few hours on the phone and all with BookIt.com they finally paid the hotel the day before we were to leave. I have always booked with BookIt.com but this will be the last time as I felt like it ruined a good portion of our vacation. The next time I come to the Riviera Maya I think I will also choose a different hotel besides the Principe.

I have booked my vacation package three times with twice cancellations by hanging on phone hours long. Booking ID ** and ** booked on Jan 7th and 8th, even I was not informed second cancellation. I have nothing to say. I was told second booking was cancelled too by Loss Prevention Cory (888-874-1775 ext. **) this morning. I have done my third booking with more expensive today (Jan 14th 2016) and left voicemail to Cory as she requested me to do so. I am hoping Cory will take care third booking with putting note in my account not to allow anyone to cancel it again.

Booked vacation and completed 9/08/2014. Have been trying to work with the resort and BookIt directly, getting the runaround. There were around 30 in our party for our daughter's wedding. Everyone got it. I got an eye infection. I had just completed cancer treatments and was exposed to these conditions. I want it resolved now.

Could not find first booking number, cancelled within 24 hours, lost $19.95 but booked another one, then found $500.00 cheaper! Of course we cancelled. BookIt charged another $19.95. They nickel and dime you to death. New place lets you cancel no charge up to one month before leaving, also guarantees price same way. Book it, 24 hours, say they will call you back, no such thing. Politeness of customer service does not exist. No more BookIt for everyone I know, about $20,000 a year! I have been owning my business for 40 years, they have no knowledge of customer service.

We recently booked a trip with BookIt to Cancun Mexico, Golden Parnassus. Upon arrival we were pulled aside and told BookIt had not forwarded payment to the resort and as a result we could not check in. They wanted us to pay again for the stay using our credit card, but the catch was we would be paying the "walking in off the street rate" of almost 1800US. Firstly who walks in off the street in Mexico and secondly 1800 is more than our entire trip including airfare and transfers. They called BookIt and handed me the phone saying it was my problem if I wouldn't pay. I was on hold waiting to speak with a customer service agent for almost 45 minutes. No one from BookIt ever answered the phone.
I refused to give them my credit card and asked to speak with a manager. After over an hour we were finally given a room but still had not the payment issue. I called and emailed BookIt numerous times during our stay. No one responded to me. On our third day at the resort a member of the hotel team who said they represent BookIt called us at 8 am and told us he would like to speak with us in the lobby before 10 am. We went down to the lobby as this was the first we had heard about having a rep from BookIt on site. When we got down there he seemed only concerned about our transportation to the airport and selling us off site tours.
When I became frustrated and asked about payment for our stay he said it had been worked out on the second day but he hadn't been able to get a hold of us. This seemed funny to me as when he wanted to sell us tours he didn't seem to have an issue locating us. Needless to say our 4 day trip was ruined, three out of four days we were concerned about additional payment and by this point I had become extremely ill, probably from worry and their under cooked food. I will never book with BookIt again. The hotel told us this is an ongoing issue with your company and we are not the only customers this has happen to.

I have decided to try BookIt one more time. On my last BookIt vacation to Playa we were dropped at the wrong resort and were required to pay cab fare to the correct resort after we purchased transfers, didn't have our room on the first day, spent second day waiting to move to another room, didn't have any rooms with king bed the entire stay. New room had frozen AC first night. Room next to ours got remodeled during our stay (very noisy).

I have been trying to cancel this reservation for the last two hours. Your website won't let me cancel it and provides a telephone number that no one answers. My plan was to modify it to get a higher rated hotel but instead I get a message saying that will do any change over the phone for a $25 fee. Really frustrating.

The BookIt experience went well. I will address the positive points first - pool area is very nice and we never had a problem finding a lounge chair. Hotel is conveniently located across the street from Surin Beach and is less than a five minute walk. 7-11 and minimart are just around the corner and there is a fridge inside the room. This is a great family resort - so if you are looking for a kid free pool experience this is not the place. For you as kids are having a great time everywhere. I read several comments regarding this being more like a three star resort than a four. I would agree - but that being said the room prices seem more in line with a three star than four. We ate at restaurants nearby in the evening - and enjoyed the pool bar and menu during the day and afternoon. I don't think I would stay here again just because there are so many other options.

The Ramada was less than satisfactory. The toilet didn't flush, the doors to the balcony were so loose that when the wind blew they rattled and so did the door to the room. It was so so noisy that you could hear every person that walked down the corridor and when the cleaners started their cleaning at 6:30am (6:30am?!?!?!) it felt like they were in the bedroom. As for the breakfast, not sure when my stomach will recover!

Joan was amazing!!! I was having trouble with the website and even when I selected a flight the next page would change the flight automatically to another airport that was 4 hours away. After trying a few different things, I called and got Joan. She was the most helpful person that I have encountered at a call center and I would like if she could be commended by management for going above and beyond. She was patient with me and my indecisive husband over the phone and even dealt with screaming kids in the background without pause. Thank you Joan! Her level of support will ensure my return business.

So I booked a trip to Atlanta from 12/29/2015-1/3/2016 for the Hilton Garden Inn in Midtown. I get to the hotel and can't be placed in a room because the card that Bookit.com uses to pay was not working. So they didn't inform the hotel they were having issues or me. So as a result, I had to call customer service and was placed on hold for over an hour. The issue still didn't get resolved and the front desk tried to assist me. As a result, I had to use my card for the night even though I had already paid. So I call again, and still nothing resolved. I get told that I may have to pay again for the second night but they weren't sure. So again I had to call back in order for Bookit.com to provide accurate information to the hotel about my stay.
Bookit.com did nothing on their end to help me whatsoever. Now I am dealing with an issue with receiving a refund from Bookit.com because the Hilton could not pay me directly. I was on hold for over thirty minutes and was advised from the representative that it would take upwards to thirty days to be issued a refund. I filed a complaint with the BBB.org because the service has been unacceptable and Kelee ** is trying to debate with me instead of using customer service skills telling me the representative informed me it would be 30-60 days.
I firmly stated no, because I would have an issue if it would take sixty days. Then instead of using her listening skills, she tries to argue with me again on how much I am supposed to be refunded. So I had to send her the email from the Director of Operations for the Hilton to prove I am supposed to be refunded more. It has just been an absolute mess.

Called in due to the fact was concerned with the time of arrival and how the resort would handle it. In my panic of the situation I was a tad crabby to the young lady. She (did not catch her name - so bummed) did not let this bother her at all and was very professional, friendly and calm. She went above and beyond to find alternatives for us as well as doing this with a friendly and happy demeanor. Best customer service received and this is our 4th booking. She was able to accommodate us in a better resort for a minimal price increase!

I tried to book online a vacation package for Vegas, thought the price on your website was accurate...it was not! Could not book the hotel, only the flights. Waited on hold for over 30 minutes to book the hotel, rep came back with a price of 254.75 for hotel, taxes and transfers. It didn't go thru because BookIt already took out the money for the hotel which I was not able to book so my daily limit from my bank was hit. I had to call back and wait another thirty minutes on hold and then my call was disconnected. So I had to call a third time and waited another thirty minutes to reach a rep who then told me the price went up $40.00 from what rep #1 had told me. So why publish prices if they are aren't accurate? Isn't this false advertising? Apparently you don't have to honor the price you publish. I have used BookIt.com many times but now I am rethinking this, especially if you're able to publish FALSE prices.

I thought I was looking at 2 adults when I booked and after it was only one. So I am in a panic calling to cancel and have been on phone for 22 minutes and no person tried to do it online and could not just had someone answer and they hung up on me.

Use care when scheduling through BookIt. Our group of 8 was making reservations simultaneously through BookIt agent. Agent promised all 8 would have same cost and itinerary. During booking process, flights and costs changed resulting in different flights, increased costs. Too much frustration for 5% savings BookIt offers.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction of BookIt.com. I cannot believe the experience we had and that a business claiming to have “fantastic guest service” (taken from the BookIt.com website). Our experience began Monday December 21, 2015 at 1:42 pm when we happened to call our resort, RIU Tequila in Playa del Carmen, that we booked September 26, 2015 through BookIt. We called with a simple question about towels and soon learned that we did not have a reservation (although we had a confirmation number ** from BookIt). We then immediately called BookIt at roughly 2:00 pm where a representative called the hotel himself and learned that the hotel no longer honors BookIt specials during the holiday, or, as the agent put it, “no longer honors their relationship with BookIt.com.”
He assured us that we would be placed somewhere similar or even better due to the inconvenience and that someone would be calling us within a couple of hours with options to choose from. My husband called BookIt back at 4:00 pm and was on hold until 4:30 pm when Cassandra answered. She said she would look into relocation options and put him back on hold until 4:56 pm. At that time she said that an option might have been found, but needed to be confirmed with management and put my husband on hold again until 5:06 pm. At that time, nothing could be confirmed but Cassandra said we would get a call back that evening, hopefully in the next two hours. When no one called, my husband called her direct extension back at 8:17 pm, was on hold for 24 minutes and was then somehow disconnected. He called back and left a voicemail for Cassandra at roughly 8:45 pm.
He then called the basic line back at 8:48 pm and was on hold until 9:07 pm when Heidi answered. She said “yeah you will be relocated for sure. Someone will call you within the next day.” Cassandra seemed genuinely concerned about our situation, but also seemed as if "relocating" is a regular occurrence. The next day a woman (who’s name I didn’t catch because I was at the store and was very distraught about the situation) called around 10:20 am, telling me that nothing was found and that she searched for over an hour. She said that BookIt would refund the cost of the hotel only and we could do our own search for somewhere to stay. I asked to speak to a manager and she asked why. I told her that it was “unacceptable” how we were being treated and that BookIt should be doing everything possible to make it right.
She did not let me speak to a supervisor, rather she told me that she would look a little bit more since I deemed it “unacceptable”. She was very condescending and knew I was upset and crying. Honestly, I was exhausted from the lack of sleep due to worry about our trip. At the end of our phone call, she did use the “it has been a pleasure to serve you” line from her training, which made the phone call that much more disingenuous. Knowing about my experience, my husband called back at around 10:35 am and Tara answered at 10:51 am. She said she would look into our relocation and check the account at 10:54 am and came back at 11:03. She offered the Great Parnassus, as a one room with bunk beds. We told her we would take it (because at this point we were desperate) and she put us on hold at 11:06 pm to check with a supervisor.
At 11:19, she told us that someone was still trying to find 2 rooms and put us on hold at 11:21 am. She came back at 11:56 and said that Parnassus had been booked during our wait time and was no longer available. Once again on hold at 11:57 am until 12:15 pm where she told us we would be booked in Cozumel, but had to take the ferry to get there. A $100 credit was given to us to cover the ride. Tara was the only one who stayed on the line with us until it was solved. Thank you Tara.
I hope you understand how stressful this situation was four days prior to leaving for our trip. My husband and I are both teachers and don’t make enough money to take vacations with our 3 kids very often. One of our daughters had serious health issues last year at this time, so we wanted to make this year special for her. This was a Christmas present to the kids and to find out three days prior that it might not happen was horribly upsetting. We do not feel that we got the vacation we deserved. The hotel we stayed at was disappointing and our experience was not good. We have already left a review for the hotel, being very truthful that it was not what we had paid for. I am not sure what we would have done had we arrived at the RIU Tequila without knowing that our reservation did not exist.
Since we live in Colorado, many of our friends, family and colleagues like to travel to warm destinations, particularly in the colder months. We had originally told them about the great deal we got with BookIt, but have now shared our experience. Needless to say, they will be looking into other companies, as will we. BookIt should have done the right thing and done everything possible to make sure our accommodations were equal to or better that what we paid for. This was a nightmare. From what I have heard, this happens more than it should. Unacceptable.

Elizabeth was amazingly helpful and patient during the long and difficult process of booking a trip for my friends who are going on a trip with us but weren't able to book it themselves. The arrangements had to be revised several times and Elizabeth was continuously very positive and supportive. She also made recommendations for and helped us plan parts of the trip we had not yet considered. I waited for over 30 min before a rep came on. I told him I wanted to book an overnight stay and that I had a gift certificate from work that I wanted to use. He was very argumental that he had never heard of such and that he had been employed there for X number of years and this was the first. He then looked up my request for the overnight stay and told me I would have to be transferred to another agent. I waited another 10-15 mins. A lady came on, verified I did have credits, placed the booking. When I got to the hotel I was asked for a card. They ran my own credit card. I told them I had gone through BookIt and it should be no charge to my card. The stay was ok. It was a weekend getaway for me and my husband. As I left the hotel we were driving I checked our mobile banking and noticed my card had been charged. Still trying to get it straight as I speak.

Booked 7 day trip to RIU PALACE PUNTA CANA in Sept for Feb 3rd trip. Called RIU today to confirm my reservation and was told we didn't have one. Called BookIt and was told they don't use RIU anymore but I can stay at another resort. I exploded on rep and asked to talk with a supervisor and was asked why I needed to speak with a supervisor??? I was able to explain what happened and she would look into and call me back. While waiting I called RIU and asked if they still had a relationship with BookIt? They stated they did!!! BookIt called me back and DID get me a room at the RIU but if I never called to look into I wouldn't be in Punta Cana without a room!! Thanks for helping me out BOOKIT rep.

I was happy with the prices of which I paid for the ticket but they made a huge mistake and put the passenger name twice on both tickets, DOB was correct on both tickets just not the name. When I called the guy said "Well it seems you made the mistake" which I thought was very rude. I rather buy direct from the airline to know it's done right and the customer service is great. I would not use them again.

After getting my trip ready to purchase, the coupon code would not work. Had to call in and the agent booked the whole trip over. She had to manually give me coupon credit on my charge card. Then I received an email the same day few minutes after I booked it-- a new code came out for an additional 50 dollars off 5 night stay. This should have been told to us and we should have been given the additional $50 dollars.

Had a booking error due to limit on debit card. I was 2 hours on hold waiting to talk to customer service. Now I have to call again. The hotel was booked under the wrong name. The name they used wasn't even one of the names used for the flight or the name on the debit card.

Your site had a glitch with credit card. When it came back the dates were changed and card was accepted. I called, was told could not help because I was not an agent. My bank gave me a different number to call. All I wanted was date changed to what I entered originally but again did not receive useful help. Now I have a room which I cannot use. As far as I am concerned this is a scam site and have told many people not to use you.

One of my guests had to drop out today due to Cancer treatment. Modifying booking made me lose another comp booking. Tried to reverse the cancellation after 30 minutes... Representatives couldn't do it. I will never use BookIt.com again, neither will my friends. Details: 3 separate Booking IDs under William **, for my 40th Birthday in Cancun with friends and family. 8 guests, 6 rooms. 6th room was free via promotion. 1 guest dropped out on 1/09. Called to hear about our options. Refund of $592 was offered to modify. Modifying reservation made us lose the 6th room comp/free. I called back 30 minutes later to reverse the cancellation, to keep our bookings as is, but the representative said that wasn't possible anymore.
So now I was either out of a room, or had to pay full price for a room. I was misled by Customer Service, I was denied going back to original price, and now I have to pay $700 more. This was supposed to be a birthday vacation, and via being manipulated by Customer Service after a guest had to undergo cancer treatment, I now have to pay $700 more to attend my own party. This service needs to be improved so that it doesn't hurt any more customers.

Booking was all wrong after all said and done and was charged 200 extra for the flights I booked which was not on my original booking. Flights had to be double charged to my account. Since I see BookIt trying to remove all other reviews from people who have experienced the exact type of issue in this same time period, I want to write a truthful and honest review as to the nightmare I experienced over this past Christmas holiday. After having booked and paid in full in August a dream vacation for 10 days through Christmas and New Year's and the Riu in Punta Cana Dominican Republic, we had nothing but smiles as we got off our airplane, and headed to the hotel. Upon arriving to the hotel to check in, the person at the front desk informed us they had no such reservation under our name. A quick hotel error, I thought. Big mistake, this would end up becoming a nightmare.
The person at the front desk asked us to show the reservation which we did. Immediately upon seeing it was reserved through BookIt.com they said "Oh no, you used BookIt. We've seen a lot of these recently. BookIt has not paid for any of the hotel rooms, and we therefore had to cancel everyone's reservations" "WHAT?" was my reaction. How could this be if I had already paid in full? Why wouldn't BookIt notify me even a day before getting on the airplane to tell me what had happened, and either offer me a solution or at least regret to inform me they would have to cancel everything and return back my money so that I wouldn't have to travel halfway around the world before finding out. At the exact same time, there was another couple there, with the exact same problem, having arrived something like an hour before us and on the phone trying to get it resolved.
So I get on the phone, using my cell phone on roaming, and begin the process of calling BookIt the day before Christmas eve. After about an hour of waiting on the phone, I talked to a representative who began trying to resolve my issue. The first thing she told me was there was a "Fallout between BookIt and Riu, and Riu is no longer offered via BookIt". My first question was why the hell they didn't tell me these even a day before? Crickets... I also logged into my BookIt.com account, and checked the status of my booking which read CONFIRMED. (I have saved a screenshot of this as proof!)
So the woman called the front desk of the Riu hotel, the hotel employee told them what they already knew, that they had not paid and therefore cancelled all reservations. The representative from BookIt got back on the phone with me, and told me since it was past working hours, we would have to wait until the next day for the payments team to call and pay the hotel. She assured me they would pay tomorrow and I would be all set. Given the next day was Christmas Eve, the hotel said tomorrow their booking department was only working until noon. She ASSURED me, that in the morning they would pay the hotel by noon and I would receive a phone call much earlier to confirm this. I asked to speak to her manager, but I was told the manager was out on vacation.
Based on this, I asked the BookIt rep to give me her direct name and number, and direct name and number of her manager, and whether they were both working tomorrow. The BookIt rep told me she would be on vacation tomorrow, but her manager would be working. (Guess what people, I called the manager directly the next day and got out of office answering machine. If BookIt says this is BS, I will repost this with her direct line and name. In the meantime I will give name only - Sharona).
In the meantime, the person and the hotel check in told me that they didn't even have any hotel rooms available for the dates I was seeking, as it was the busy holiday period and only had availability for the next 3 days and after which was sold out. So even if BookIt did pay, I would have to figure something out for the next 7 days. In addition, they told me that based on what had been going on in the past week or so with others from BookIt, he was sure they would not pay the hotel. So in the meantime I reserved a hotel room for the night, out of my own pocket, hoping they would pay the hotel tomorrow.
Next day I wake up, look at my phone, no phone calls. I head over to the hotel lobby and ask if BookIt had called. Nope, nothing. I go have breakfast, return to hotel lobby and ask again. Still nothing. It is now 10 am, and the hotel booking department closes in 2 hours for the holiday. I get on the phone again, roaming call, wait another 20 minutes before I talk to someone, explain the situation again, they tell me the accounting department will be paying within the next 2 hours. In the meantime we see the same other couple that had used BookIt, also on the phone waiting to resolve their issue, whom had also paid out of their own pocket for the previous night at the hotel.
I decided to head to the pool, stressed out as ever, wondering what the hell I'm going to do if this isn't resolved. It's Christmas eve, I'm in a foreign country, and almost all if not all hotels are fully booked for the 10 day duration I was supposed to stay. My girlfriend has an emotional breakdown and begins having a panic attack. I try to get her to calm down and say that hopefully by noon this will all be figured out. Return to hotel front desk at noon, and guess what? STILL NO CALL FROM BOOKIT! Another roaming call to BookIt, another 30 minute hold time until I can finally talk to someone. Explain the situation again, she puts me on hold, taking me off periodically to tell me she is talking to the accounting department to figure out how to resolve this.
1 hour later of being on hold with them trying to resolve this, she tells me there are no hotel rooms left that were within a range they could pay for to accommodate me in, and the only thing BookIt could do was refund my hotel portion of what I had paid. What? Are you kidding me? In the meantime I am on Expedia, and see there are some hotels left for the duration of my stay but at MUCH higher prices. It should have been BOOKIT's responsibility to pay whatever out of their own pocket to get me into any other hotel. Actually, it should have been BOOKIT'S responsibility to tell me all these before getting on that airplane. So basically, 7 am stuck in the Dominican Republic with ABSOLUTELY NO SOLUTION. NONE, ABSOLUTELY NO SOLUTION STUCK ON CHRISTMAS EVE, WHILE EVERYONE IS ON VACATION. My Christmas and New Year's RUINED!
I demand to the BookIt rep that I be refunded in full for the cost of the flight I booked through BookIt as well or I would seek legal action. She tells ok, that they would do that but that would have to go to the accounting department to cut me a check. It is January 9th, and I still have not received this money back. I was refunded the price of the hotel, after this entire ordeal, but still not the flight. This vacation never happened. It was ruined, and so much money was wasted. We were forced to fly back home after sleeping at the airport, and purchasing a new return flight out of pocket. In addition I am stuck with $200 roaming phone call charges, and a $300 hotel charge for the night we paid out of pocket at the hotel.
I have been trying to get on the phone with BookIt for the past week, to get my refund that I demand for the flight of the vacation I never took and fully paid, but the hold time is too long. I will try again over the next couple of time when my work schedule allows me to have over an hour of free time, but I want to make it clear that if I do not receive a full reimbursement for the flight that I booked with BookIt as part of this vacation package that is over $2200, I will take legal action.
BookIt absolutely 100% scammed me. They took my money, sent me to a foreign country, to a hotel they never paid, and offered absolutely no type of solution. To me, the most ridiculous part is that they didn't notify me, or anyone else that had this same issue (which from reading these, from the other couple that had the same issue, and from the hotel telling us, there have been A LOT) before the start of our supposed to be vacation, and also the fact that they offered absolutely no solution. Just left us there.
This was a very very stressful period for us, imagine being stuck in a foreign country over Christmas with no place to sleep or go. I will never ever use BookIt ever again, and most importantly I hope this review warns others to also NEVER use BookIt.com. Stick with well known trusted companies, such as Expedia.Hey BookIt, I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY. FULL REFUND FOR FLIGHT AND HOTEL BOOKED AS A PACKAGE THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE.
BookIt has STOLEN thousands of dollars from me, and I demand a refund which has not been paid in full yet, or will seek legal action.

We used BookIt for the 4th time to book our current trip to Jamaica and have always had great service. Last night was no exception. Our agent, Sharon, was great. We were booking 3 couples and the flights kept changing. Sharon took time with each of us, making sure she explained all the details. I booked this based on the price shown to me prior to booking the reservation. I am very unhappy and may have to cancel. I was sent an offer via BookIt.com and I was giving a price of $161 per nt and instead it is $269. Suppose to be $1218.06 and now it shows $1324.78! I need an explanation as to why?

When I searched for my trip on BookIt.com, the price quoted was $1513 per person, with $200 off when booking 7+ nights in an all-inclusive resort for 2 or more PEOPLE. With a direct flight on Frontier, it quoted it would be $9.40 more per person. When I tried adding the direct flight, the price went up to $1675 per person and the discount code, BKPF200, would not work.
I called the number BookIt.com provided so I could speak with an agent. The agent said that the vacation on her screen showed the trip would be more expensive. The agent said the direct flight was $162 more so it probably had just increased in cost. I entered the info on my computer once again and the direct flight still said $9.40 more. I told her to go ahead and add the direct flight to my trip and use the $200 discount and I would address the additional cost for the flight at a different time. She said the discount wouldn't work for my trip. She told me that the discount was only for trips with 2 or more ADULTS. I explained that the BookIt website said it was for 2 or more people and made no mention of adults vs. children.
I asked to speak to whoever was in charge for the evening so they could help and she said no supervisors were working that night. I asked to speak to whoever was in charge when there was an issue and she said no one was there. I asked if someone else might be able to help figure the situation out because I was being charged an extra $362 per person than what the BookIt website showed the trip should cost, an additional $162 for the flight and the extra $200 I was being charged since the discount was not being allowed. I was on the phone for over 45 min with your representative.
I asked to speak with anyone else who might be able to figure out how to apply the discount. The agent put her friend on who yelled at me and said that the price her friend had said was the only price I was getting and that the price of the trip just increased in cost, so it now was going to be even more expensive than they originally had quoted me. Frustrated, I said my lawyer or I would call back to get the price of the trip straightened out since the BookIt.com website was advertising a different price and a discount that the BookIt.com agents weren't willing to uphold.
I went online when I got off the phone and booked the trip to ensure that I wouldn't lose out on the hotel or direct flight that I wanted, since the BookIt.com contract states that I will be able to cancel for only $20. Because the agents took more than 45 minutes and weren't able to properly do their jobs, the price of the 8 night all-inclusive trip increased again and I ended up having to pay $1710.46 per person for the trip that originally showed should have been $1513 (plus $9.40 for the direct flight) per person, or $1522.40 per person. I entered my trip on BookIt.com many times to show the representative that the pricing hadn't changed online.

I booked a vacations online. When I needed help with existing booking I had to wait over 50 min and nobody picked up my call. After I asked for a new booking they picked up my call in a second and they didn't help me but put me through the same waiting line again for unlimited time. This sucks with you guys. I am a long time customer of yours but maybe not anymore.

I reserved a room at Knights Inn on 1025 Frio St. San Antonio TX 78207. I was very unsatisfied with the room given to me. It had bedbugs and Roaches on bed linen. Mind you I have 2 girls. They did not wanna move me to another room.

Everything went great with your site however, very disappointed that when we booked we couldn't get on the same flight as our daughter and granddaughter. Called the airline but they wanted $200 a person to change. We would all be traveling together to the airport and now have to fly separate. We were unable to go when she booked and now we can but it's so unfair they would not change our flight since it was not until May. Our granddaughter is so disappointed that she can't fly with us. It would be awesome if we could get help changing it at no cost. Had we known we were going she would have waited to book. We had to jump thru hoops to get the time off and ended up not getting to go together. :(

Just book a family trip to Cancun. I had to do two separate bookings due to scheduling conflicts. Did that without any issues. The pricing is reasonable compared to other websites. I do like the option where we can split the payment up in three payments without interest.

Cannot believe my last experience with BookIt. Receive an email at 7 PM the night before I am to arrive in Aruba canceling my hotel reservation. Leave a number/extension that doesn't work plus there is no one available at that time nor anyone available until 9 AM the next day. Flights already booked so I was expected to either eat the cost of the flight and cancel, or accept BookIt trying to put me up in accommodations that were 1/2 the price of my original booking. So glad I was smart enough to find accommodations on my own, as the place BookIt wanted to put me up at was frowned upon by quite a few residents of Aruba.
What a nightmare trying to scramble in an airport to find accommodations after having been on the phone with BookIt for 2 hours thinking I was being confirmed in accommodations similar to the ones they had canceled; but I should have known BookIt would not do the right thing and pay the difference to give us equal or almost accommodations to the ones they canceled last minute since they do not pay reservations timely even though they have no problem taking the consumer's money.

Well my hotel was great for the night, BUT when I went to check in the front desk and was told BookIt.com's credit card was denied. It took me 1 hr on hold with BookIt to finally get someone on the phone. What a waste of an hr.

The ease of booking is nice and so is the flight options, but unfortunately you won't price match or give you a lower rate on packages when found within 24 hours. Cheap Caribbean will upgrade a room for $87 per person and you want to charge $500 per person. That seems a little ridiculous. I'll be telling the rest of my party to book through Cheap Caribbean instead of BookIt.com.

I have been using BookIt from the time it first showed itself on the net. Most of the time I spend the bit extra to book by phone. Not because the app isn't easy but, because I might forget, miss something or not notice a bonus or inform myself of something I didn't notice on the website. Anyway, as always, the lady, whose name, I should have but don't remember, was wonderful to speak with. What a pleasant person, with a sense of humor. I know I reserved what I wanted. She made suggestions that I could add and did. She is one of the outstanding agents that you have. All customer service agents should be like her.

My brother booked flight and hotel in Mazatlan. Went to the hotel that Bookit had confirmed the booking and was told there was no reservation for him. Had to pay again and make several expensive calls to USA to me to call the bookit to straighten the situation. Had to pay for his meals although his reservation was all inclusive. When I called bookit I was on hold for 1.5 hours to finally speak to a person, who promised to fix their error next day when their reservation opens! This company is so incompetent and has no understanding that when people go out of country without means to contact them and counting on the accommodation they already paid for will have their trip ruined by their mess up. Terrible company. I will never use them and would not recommend others to use them.

This is my first time using BookIt.com and all was going well until the confirmation was processed and the representative (Elizabeth) reviewed the info. Initially, she provided the two payment dates as 4/2 & 6/28. However, once the reservation was processed and she reviewed the data, the two payment dates were 3/31 & 6/24. This may not be a big deal to someone else; however, it is a huge difference. She did apologize.

I used to use BookIt often for all my travel however after my new year's eve booking I will never use them again. I spend 1300$ on a hotel room booking. When I check online the 30th for a 2nd room to book for friends I notice the price of the same hotel I booked had dropped to 900$. I called to get a price match or upgrade my room for the costs I've already spent... I was addressed by not 1 but 2 reservation associates as if I was bothering them at their job and that they had no time to talk to me nor did they want to help me. "Tough luck, bye," rude and hung up on me.
I did file a complaint with BookIt and the manager was no help either. They said the option was to cancel my booking and rebook it again... So I would cancel 1300, lose 350$ and rebook for 900$ to spend a total of 1250 this time? That makes no sense. I went to the hotel and asked them for some help. They were rude too (it's like no one wants to work anymore or be bothered at their cust serv job). The room was dirty, the staff was rude... I will never use BookIt again and I hope no one else does either.

The price I paid through BookIt.com is the lowest I found anywhere. We booked at the Holiday Inn Montego Bay Jamaica all inclusive and we're amazed at the low cost. Expedia had $395 for the same dates. We booked for $105.

Great price and experience. Had to call and ask a few questions and Raymond was awesome. A few neat suggestions: Your search engine has trouble with multiple pages. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means but you should be able to easily fix that. Adding a feature to suggest different dates that might be cheaper would have been cool. When sending the link to do a customer service, you should provide the booking # so I don't have to look it up. Still, excellent and Raymond was great.

I booked packages for three couples. Price was awesome as were the flights. However, when I tried to upgrade to an ocean view room, it threw off the flights (turning a nonstop into one stop). Tried numerous times and finally gave up and went with a mangrove view. Very disappointed about this.

This hotel is nicely renovated. One of the best breakfast buffets included in price. Also able to leave our car here for 2 weeks while cruising. Staff extremely helpful. Many restaurants within walking distance. We would stay here again. Enjoy.

I have always had a great experience with BookIt.com's vacation packages however, this one takes the cake. First, they booked TWO flight tickets with United, one for Joanna ** and the second for Joanna ** (maiden name) **. I had to call the airline instead of BookIt handling the refund and mistake. United has to refund BookIt. 10 days later BookIt refunds your money?!?! Then I get to my destination and one bag is still at original destination and second bag is in Houston, Texas (connection was in Denver). Why it went to Houston I don't know? Lastly, my rental car reservation didn't exist when I went to Alamo!!! I am extremely tired and frustrated not to mention I have no jammies!!!

I copied the coupon promo code to the box on the billing. It copied to the box. Then when I went down and completed the billing, pressed the continue, the billing was completed without the $20 discount for a three day stay. I would have used that hotel anyway. It was in just the right area for my three day visit with my son. But, I won't use BookIt again and I'll tell everyone in conversation about what happened with the disappearing discount code.

We booked this trip on 9/23/15. But we were told that the hotel reservation had to be changed from Riu Cancun to Royalton just 15 minutes before we went on boarding our flight from Denver to Cancun on 12/24/15. That was ridiculous! We didn't see our new reservation until we landed in Cancun. The main purpose that we chose Riu Cancun was because it is located at the center of the hotel zone so that it would make it easier for us to go to Cancun downtown and walk along the beach of hotel zone. Royalton is an isolated hotel and it cost us $90 one way by taxi to hotel zone. For a party of 6, we had to call two taxi to go to hotel zone and a round trip cost us $360! I had selected the wrong dates on my trip to Mexico. I noticed it when I printed out my travel details. I immediately contacted your customer service team where I had to wait 55 minutes (I was disconnected twice). I thought since I was contacted you asap you should be able to make the change without cost to me however I had to spend $400 USD (even though I purchased your cancel anytime insurance). Even more funny is the cost for the vacation was lower than the dates booked... lol. Honestly, part of me just wanted to cancel the whole booking and start fresh with another company.

I made a hotel reservation allegedly using their "Pay Delay". The checkout page specifically said the amount I would be charged today was $16. I entered my credit card information and was immediately charged nearly $500. Now I'm being told a refund could take up to a month! Ridiculous, fraudulent, false advertising. Three days before we are going to leave we were notified that we had to change hotels!! Last evening I was on the phone either on hold or talking to an agent for TWO hours to get the change made. She said we would get a discount at this hotel. This morning I was notified by e-mail that I (not my husband) had gotten a refund!!! Now, do I really want to spend half my day on the phone with you people again?? Unacceptable!!!
