I love Bookit.com and have recommended the site to many friends. I have booked multiple trips and have always gotten the best prices. The site is super easy and friendly to use.

Apparently there is a $19.95 cancellation fee EVEN IF the reservation is cancelled well prior to the date of travel. While this cancellation policy may be stated in the "fine print", if you go by the email confirmation, there is NO PENALTY for cancellation. This misinformation caused me to make a decision to cancel a reservation well before the dates of travel, only to find out later that there would actually be a cancellation fee. When pointing out the mistake to customer service, they refused to even acknowledge it even though the proof was right in front of them. I forwarded the email showing the mistake, and they still would only continue to refer to the fine print on the initial purchase screen.

I feel when you advertise a price that includes ALL taxes and fees that it shouldn't be after the fact that oh by the way there is an additional charge of $25 per night for the hotel that they charge upon your arrival, and you have to pay $50 for a carry on and $45 for a checked bag. In addition I spent a lot of time online to book it and after putting in all my info there was an error that occurred and so then I had to call the number and re-spend another 25 plus minutes on the phone trying to re-book what I had online. Not a short process and one I greatly considered just forgetting and going to another provider!

The pricing on the hotel and flight all inclusive vacation I recently booked was the best I could find. However, I was booking at the same time as a friend, as we tried to plan a couple's vacation. We had selected our seats by each other on the same flights and we're excited as we hit submit, but hers timed out as mine went to a confirmation page. Despite there being 30-40+ open seats on each flight, her screen claimed that the flights were sold out. We called to try to amend, but the woman said the same thing and suggested that all seats got full in that second from americanairlines.com.

I love booking through BookIt but I would prefer free upgrades and/or gifts that would motivate to book more frequent vacations. My husband and I just got married last year and have started booking all our yearly vacation through this website. This website is very reliable and although my husband has tried to convince me to book elsewhere, I have denied that good offer to book with a website that I truly trust. We also recommend BookIt to all our friends and families! I just wish that our customer loyalty could be rewarded more. Besides that I love booking through BookIt and I would not change it for the world!

I enjoyed using the website. It was very easy to use. Some of the details about the hotels I noticed weren't all under the same details page but I think that's based on the data pulled from the hotel. I enjoyed my experience and hopefully see more promotional offers which bring me back.

Orlando Booking. I searched for weeks trying to find the best deal for an early summer flight and hotel and finally at BookIt.com, I found the best deal. It was $100 cheaper than anywhere else. I would book again with this website.

Went to the Platinum Yucatan Princess in Playa Del Carmen. The resort is a long way from anything. They do offer transport into shopping in Playa Del Carmen a few times a day for $4.00 each way. The resort was billed as a 4 and 1/4 star I believe, and it was more like a 3 star. There was NOTHING luxurious. No hot tub, the pools are not heated. NOTE ***NOT EVERYONE COMES FROM CANADA*** and thinks a 60 degree pool is warm! We had a swim up room and wasted our money as it was too cold to enjoy the pool. The nicest thing was the rain shower in the bathroom. The food was your average all inclusive. We ate at the steak house, Rodeo, and the steak was very gristly. Ate at the Italian, the Bruschetta and our server Benedicto (Benny) was fabulous. The food however was totally greasy! The buffet was tolerable, but nothing was great! Nothing fancy or great about the resort either. Feel like I wasted $3500!!!

Very nice, 4-star hotel. I appreciate the low rate. I enjoyed my stay. All hotel staff are friendly especially the front desk who help me check in. I will definitely do this again and visit San Francisco and not spending a lot of money for my hotel accommodations.

I watched for a price drop for a trip. 4 different groups of people were going with me. As I was making the second reservation I received an error message that a trip similar was booked and it wouldn't allow me to book my families. I called the number on the screen. The lady told me "wait a few hours and try again." I explained the price will change. She agreed then helped. But by that time the price increased again.

The overall experience was good. The deal is interesting and it has been easy to change our flight to get a non-stop flight. So I was pleased with your services until I discovered that your delayed payment offer was not free as you were suggesting. If I am not mistaken, it costed me $15. I would be pleased if you were giving me back this $15 and I will always remember if you don't.

I called BookIt.com to cancel one of the two rooms I had reserved at the Luxor in Las Vegas. And they charged me a $25.00 processing fee. This is absurd. It was the first and the last time I will use this service. Buyer beware!!!

We booked a vacation to a Mexico all-inclusive property for a week this summer. We had to change reservation due to realizing the property we had reserved was not on the beach as shown in the property's video. The first customer service person we dealt with told us it was going to cost an extra $230 to change the reservation, even though we were told when we reserved the vacation originally it would only be $20. He refused to understand or work out the problem. We were then transferred to the sales queue and spoke to Jennifer **. She was completely amazing! She quickly understood the issue with the overcharges and made the change of reservations efficiently. She was kind, considerate, and thoughtful. I would have given five stars, if I would have dealt with her initially. She is a great employee. If I make another reservation with Book it, I will request her by name!

While trying to book my trip, I got just so far then was stuck. When I noticed a phone number. I called and was able to complete my booking. After getting a confirmation e-mail, I did as instructed to get the vouchers that were necessary. Oops! Another brick wall! On the third call, I finally talked to a young lady with a strong accent. I was able to communicate with her O.K. because I was having so much trouble. She said she would send the vouchers to my e-mail within the hour. Next day, still nothing. Back to the phone again, this time a gentleman who said HE would e-mail them and to stay on the line until they came up. At last "My Vouchers" appeared! Now I'm ready. When booking the next trip, I will probably go to the local travel agent and let her get the headaches and ulcers.

Room was old and antiquated. Loud noise from bathroom every 15 minutes caused me to lose sleep. Bathroom switch, loud sounding until turned off. Shower never cleaned. Reused towel once out the shower. Told maid don't come. After examining room upon arrival, requested room change, but denied.

I compared prices with a couple of other websites. This still turned out to be the best price. Some sites would not even calculate 3 adult and 2 kids. Their packages were standard 2 adults 2 kids. Family is not a cookie cut package.

I think BookIt.Com is a racketeering scam. Everytime I attempt to do something online (which is free) a pop up screen tells me I have to call customer service to complete my transaction. When you call you are then charged a fee for the transaction. I believe the website it set up to malfunction so you are forced to call the customer service number without a choice of being charged fees.

I did not like what I read in the fine print, but not so bad I would refuse to use the service. BookIt charged me an extra fee that some other reservation services don't charge [it seems] so I may not use them again, depending on what savings I derive from using them. Trivago has proved to be a good resource and BookIt is benefiting from having this association with them. I have not actually used the booking yet, but expect to have no problems.

Book.it is misleading. Zero customer service... When call you disconnected. Tried several time to talk to an agent no respond. Somebody picks the phone and immediately you get disconnected!!! Didn't stand behind promises. I will never never use them again. I spread the word be careful with book.it!!! We paid much much more than promise on site...

We spoke with 2 different people and both did not know how to help us. WE received erroneous information from each rep. It took us almost 2 hours to book our vacation. 2 hours is not acceptable. If it wasn't for the fact that I had already paid for my ticket I would of hung up the phone. This was my 3 experience with Book it. The other 2 were good. I'm very disappointed and now I'm not even excited about it. I hope the trip is better than the booking.

I was booking a package deal and the total came out to be 2775 with all taxes and fees - I went to checkout and press confirm. When my booking was confirmed it told me I was charged 3170 (BIG DIFFERENCE)... There was no screen in-between to tell me that the price has gone up. It just went ahead and confirmed a reservation for a different price. When I called I was told all bookings are final. I said I understand all booking are final but how can they be final when I am charged a different amount than I was supposed to be. Finally the woman on the phone (after being on hold for 30 min.) told me she will "try" to cancel my booking. Thankfully, she was able to cancel my booking. I can't believe a booking website like this wouldn't warn you that prices have gone up before confirming your reservation. I will never again use BookIt.

I was pleased with the ease of booking and the ease of modifying a mistake I made. I was certainly pleased with the accommodations and the cost. I was not pleased with the wait time of 20 minutes on the phone to speak with someone to make the modification. I was not able to register. It kept say my passwords were already being used (I found that hard to believe). However, the agent Lisa was great. She was very professional and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was correct.

I was disappointed that the hotel I wanted didn't go through at the last process but automatically booked air tickets without the hotel. (Yet, booking status is saying "cancelled"). Then I called customer service and she was very helpful and booked alternate hotel for me. However, after I checked back on website, the hotel she told me fully booked was available and the hotel she booked for me had cheaper room rate. This is for my mother's 80 years old surprise trip and I was disappointed with website booking system and customer service inconsistency. I liked BookIt for years...

Frustrating because price change with different dates. I know the dates I want to go but would find deals and then put in my dates and prices would change. Airfare was another problem. Just could find the right flight. Either long layovers or red eye morning flights. Overall I found a trip and just happy to final have it booked and ready to enjoy my vacation!!

I booked 6 days in Ormond Beach Fl for 2016 Bike Week and had confirmed reservations. I did the booking over a month ahead of time. Four days prior to my check in I get a call from BookIt stating that the Hotel refused to honor my booking. They sure didn't mind taking my money though. Now they want to switch to another hotel near International Speedway Blvd in Daytona. If I had wanted to stay in Daytona I would have booked a room there instead of Ormond. The Hotel and/or BookIt will never get another cent from me. Thanks for nothing.

It took over 70 minutes to book 2 flights, 2 ground transportations and 1 resort/hotel room. It took a very long time. The following morning I received an email requesting flight information for the ground transportation which I gave to the agent 3 times on the phone. Frustrating! However, I had a great experience booking on their website without the help of their agents on another booking.

While I am satisfied with having booked with you once before, your customer service was a bit confusing. I called to ask if you do a price match for packages as I found the same exact hotel, flights, and transport service through another site. I was put on hold 3 times with an uninformed representative. I booked for $1,676.86 with you and found the same deal for $1,537.56 only to be told that you only match hotel prices which would save me $6 but I'd have to pay $20 to cancel and re-do. This makes no sense, I would have rather just been told that I wouldn't have been granted the price match. Just a little feedback...

I need to fix a name on my booking, but I can't do that on the website. So I called but I got music for over one hour each time and no one picked up my calls. I had to spend all day dialing them again and again and after 4 tries, I finally got on the phone. She asked around how to fix my name and E decided that she had to conference in the airline (now we needed to wait for another 15 min), but only to be told that the Bookit agent should have dialed another # at the airline which covers agents. I thought she would now conference in the airline again but she disconnected me.
I tried calling back but was put on music hold again and again. I can't reach them. I will have to try again but this is painful. Why don't they adopt a "call back" system like some other companies? Also they separate sales department from customer service. They are quicker with sales but they really suck when it comes to customer service!!! Huge improvement necessary. I won't ever want to waste my time like this again. The savings is not worth it.

This was by far the worst experience I've had booking a trip. Not only did I have to book and pay for it 3 times but I also received horrible customer service from one of their supervisors as well as one of the sales associates. Apparently it is ok for their supervisors to return their customer's calls @ 11:08 PM. I am extremely disappointed with my overall experience and will definitely not be going through BookIt in the future.

Our hotel had to be cancelled and the staff was very proactive with contacting me and assisting my friends and I with new bookings. The best part of the deal was that our hotel was replaced with a facility with even better amenities. I am extremely happy with the service provided and spoke with Kati ** twice who was most helpful. I was impressed at first but I get all the way through the online process I hit "book it" and their system brought me all the way back to the first page. I had to reserve it all over again. 10 mins later I am paying and extra 150 to book the same reservations. Very annoying! I call the customer service line, get place on hold, hung up on, called back (which was nice) but then put on hold again for another 20 mins. That was very annoying!

Never will I use Bookit again. I was referred by a co-worker and loved the deals and prices. It was going to be my first time in Orlando and my first time at Universal and I was excited to go. On Jan 6 2016 I booked 4 nights at the Hilton at Seaworld which was a suites hotel. A flight and park admission through the site. On Feb 25th, the first day of my trip while my flight was still in the air I get an email from rep. Tiffani ** saying my reservation at my chosen hotel was cancelled. You can imagine my confusion and anger at receiving such a letter before my flight landed because now in a city I've never been with no hotel. It's 1pm my flight landed and I call customer service who has no idea what's going, puts me on hold for about 20 mins before letting me the person who supposed to handle my case is on break. Break!!! I have nowhere to go and you're on break.
Finally I get a hold of Tiffani after an extended wait time. The reason for a cancelled reservation changed throughout the 3 hour conversation. First, it was internal error, then no available reservations. I did NOT want to change my hotel whatsoever. I made this reservation January 6th and you mean to tell me the day of my trip, before my plane lands it was cancelled? And the two other "comparable" hotels they sent me as an alternative was no alternative AT ALL. None of the hotels in the area I recommended to be placed at "were not showing up on their end" as being available on that day but, it sure was available on Bookit website and the said hotels website. It was even suggested that a book another hotel and they'll refund me what paid originally. My boyfriend who was with me was not a fan of that option.
So, I finally gave in and picked Westlake Resorts hotel which was another suites hotel. And would you believe it? They were having more "internal issues" and the room I wanted was not available to be booked. But, like in said before it was available on other sites. Lastly was the Rosen Centre Hotel which I was NOT excited about staying at whatsoever. How can you "give me" 2 choices of hotel when I can't get the one I wanted... Again (Westlake) and I don't want what was left (Rosen). At this point I asked to speak to a manager who was of NO help at all. We were basically having a screaming match. Nothing was done to accommodate ME, the paying guest. All they did was give me what they wanted. I should not have to find out my reservation was cancelled a few hours before check in. The only answer I was given was "we only found out this morning".
They should have went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I was not. I settled. I don't care if they paid a little extra $100 to cover the extra cost at the Rosen. The situation should have never happened and it was handled very poorly. This was not how I wanted to start my trip. And to add insult to injury, I bought my universal tickets through Bookit, and found out the morning I was on my way to the park, that I was supposed to receive a separate email ticket confirmation. I never received it. Keep in mind I booked this trip January 6th and was going to Orlando Feb 25th. Almost 2 months in advance!!! I called Bookit customer service at about 8:20am Feb 26th just to be transferred to and dance department that doesn't open until 8:30am!! Why doesn't your representative know this??!!! I waited until 8:35, to all again and got the same recording about times but no answer. I called about 2 more times to no resolve.
And I gave up and danced just went to the park and gave them the vouchers I printed out from my Bookit reservations page. All it was 2 vouchers but no confirmation number. Got to the park a little after 10:15am. A manager at Universal studios had to call Bookit himself and was on hold for a minimum of 45-55 minutes because it was 11:20 by the time we got our tickets and made it into the park. Two days of dealing with terrible customer service. I should not have started my trip off like this and I will never use this service again. I will sure none of my friends and did family will either. For such a "reputable" company these were rookie mistakes.

When I first tried to book my vacation I was trying to use a booking code that would have given me a $300 discount. I matched all the requirements. I couldn't get it online so I called an operator and she booked my flight and everything then when she was done she said I got a $200 discount. I asked her why and she didn't know. She told me that the $200 was all I got. That didn't sit right with me since I met the requirements and it was a discount that ended at midnight just a few minutes away. I asked her to try to find out why and she said since the flight was already booked that she couldn't apply the other discount anyway. This is the reason I have to go on a vacation. Other than that, service was good.

This was my second time using BookIt and my agent was wonderful and very patient. The representative was knowledgeable about the area we were looking to visit. Due to a little glitch she still remained professional. Overall I would use BookIt over any other travel site.

I contacted BookIt.com three separate occasions in attempt to get a refund on a reservation that I was charged for in error, as a booking error occurred online and no booking confirmation was provided yet my card was charged. NO ONE was willing to assist me, they said that the reservation went through even though on their side, therefore there was nothing they could do. I advised them I would be happy to provide the screenshot of the error and they said that would not help. Now disputing the charge with American Express, which I am sure they will resolve. Terrible customer service experience, will never look at their website again. Ridiculous that no one was willing to assist, nor own that there could be an issue with their website.

After planning what we thought would be a super vacation with a deep sea fishing trip and a boat cruise turned out to be the worst booked at paid like idiots with BookIt just to get up early 2 mornings in a row on our vacation for activities that were never there. I got an email from BookIt.com notifying me that my hotel room was cancelled 3 weeks prior my trip. I called them and they confirmed it was true. I had booked this vacation for 9 months in advance, trying to avoid the extra cost of booking airfares and hotels at the last minute. When I try to get something similar to the one that I had paid for they only offered solutions that were either inferior or would cost more. I wanted all my money to be refunded, they would only refund the hotel money. They ended giving me another hotel that compared to the one that I have originally booked it was like comparing hotel Hilton to Motel 8.
I couldn't get a hold to a supervisor and when I finally did, he was a complete jerk. They should have made up the difference in the hotel cost. Instead, I ended up paying more money for a mediocre hotel. I will NEVER EVER, use BookIt.com again. And the way they are doing business, I don't think they will be in business for much longer. This is my first vacation to the Caribbean, and thanks to BookIt.com, I am not excited at all.

They stated to me yesterday that I could cancel one of the persons in my room reservation as that person was not able to come with us and granted I originally did room for 3 people to stay in and one could not. So I look at my itinerary today and they did not cancel the one person. Called them back and they stated now they could not do that. I would have to get another room. Told them also I am doing is cancelling out 1 person out of room, bad faith effort on their part.

Booked a trip to Cancun in mid Sept 2015, for Dec stay. We were to be joined there by family from Europe - both the families were booked to stay at the Omni in Dec. Paid $8300 in full for a 6 night all-inclusive vacation package for my family of three people. 2 days before our scheduled flight in Dec, we were informed by BookIt that our reservation at the Omni had been canceled and that they would help us relocate to another hotel. They could find us a hotel 90 kms away, in Playa del Carmen. As we did not want to be separated from our family at Christmas, we had no choice but to go with another hotel in Cancun, but one that was not an all-inclusive, and located 11 kms away from the Omni. Bookit offered to pay for our breakfasts (HA!) and for travel between hotels, and asked me to save our receipts. We felt cornered and had to accept, considering it was last minute.
HERE IS THE SCAM PART: I checked with the Omni about our booking - they informed us that Bookit had cancelled our reservation at the end of September, 2015. Bookit could have informed us sooner (instead of Dec) and given us options to get a refund or another hotel well in advance. By not informing us immediately, and holding on to our funds, we were left with no recourse whatsoever - it was obviously too late to dispute the charge with our credit card company or withhold any payment to them.
Over and above the cost of the all-inclusive package, we incurred additional costs of $1766. After I learned that Bookit could have informed us about the cancellation at the Omni in September, I wrote to them with a list of additional expenses incurred and asked for a full refund. After all, the hotel change was not my asking and why must this expense be borne by me and my family? The lady I spoke with, told me that she was working on it and would get back to me - but of course, I have not heard from her since mid-Jan and all my emails have been ignored.
As a caution, please do not book with this company, for they will not only deplete you of your money, but will also rob of your vacation experience. They are scammers and the order of events indicate that this was deliberate and Bookit planned to hold on to customer's funds and push them into a spot where they have no choice but to go with what is offered at the very last minute. Horrible, horrible experience with this company.

If you read nothing else, please read this: BookIt.com is without question the WORST company I've ever dealt with. Please steer clear if at all possible. Now, allow me to explain. Gearing up for our honeymoon, my fiance and I researched tons of places throughout the world, with the goal being to book the best all-inclusive resort we could find. After months of searching and weighing pros and cons, we decided on a resort in the Dominican Republic that was rated by TripAdvisor as the #1 resort on the island. We booked, and began the process of anticipating what we knew would be the perfect honeymoon for us. 9 months later, and about 2 weeks before we were about to hop on a plane, BookIt sends us an email saying that because of internal issues, our reservation was no longer valid, and they would have to relocate us. We figured there had to some sort of mistake.
Well, we called and quickly learned that indeed it wasn't a mistake. Due to BookIt's negligence, incompetence, or greed, BookIt had lost our reservation. To this day the only explanation we received is that it was due to "internal issues". As recompense BookIt magnanimously offered to relocate us to 1 of 5 available lesser resorts; none of which we were remotely interested in staying at. With just 2 weeks away from our departure, we were forced with the decision of moving forward with a honeymoon we weren't happy with, or cancelling it all together. It was a truly devastating experience. I understand that sometimes things like this happen, but we expect that if it does, there's more of an explanation than just "internal issues". The reality is that they couldn't give us a reason this was happening, and what's worse, they were totally unwilling to work to fix it.
For our troubles, all they were willing to do is cover up to $500 of the difference it would take for us to relocate. So, if we found a place that actually had available rooms 2 weeks away from our arrival date, and the place was more expensive than what we original booked, they'd cover $500 of the cost. Why not make it their mission to fix the problem they caused? Why not do everything in their power to make us whole? My only explanation is that this must be standard operating procedure for them. It wouldn't be the first time I heard of a company using the old bait n' switch. My guess is that they've decided on the $500 amount because they have to do it regularly...
In other words, this must be part of their internal business model. If it wasn't, they're be willing and able to afford to do more. I really hope there is some recourse for the treatment we received. This happened yesterday, so it's still fresh, but I intend to take this as far as I can. I'm now making it my mission to tell everyone who will listen about the horrendous business practices of this second-rate hack company.

I booked trip on line in BOOKIT.com; it was good experience: fast booking with good price. As always I checked several travel sites and at least for this time BOOKIT.com was the best. Immediately after booking I found that on the top of the screen was the information about coupon, which I could (If I want - tell me who does not want) apply to the purchase. But it was a minute later, after I clicked submit button. I found phone number on the website and I call. And after that I had a fun with this very simple situation, which could be resolved for one minute in any department store.
I could make connection with sales department in 10 sec. The sales representatives were very polite. They immediately re-direct my call to appropriate department with as I was told was in the same building. I spent probably more than 30 minutes on the phone and I could not reach anybody to speak. After that I decided to cancel my order. For these 30 minutes I heard several times the automatic message, that I can cancel order very fast on the web - I need click cancel button. And I did it.
The result was predictable - the text call (same phone number) and Cancel was opened. To this time I knew that nobody will take my call. I gave up and sent email. It was 9 pm at 02/17/16. Next day in 9:30 am I received email from Nicole **, Operations Support Analyst. She informed me that it is impossible to correct this small issue! What is possible everywhere is impossible for this company. What was very good, she gave me new phone number and new extension. The result is the same!!! Nobody answered. I am sure that customer support in the BOOKIT.com is awful. Finally it will kill BOOKIT.com.

My reservation for RIU Guanacaste was cancelled last minute. Suppose to leave March 6th. Sending me to the Occidental Grand which is obviously not equivalent to the RIU. Was suppose to meet my sisters. Asked if they could at least send us all to the same resort they said there may be an additional charge. Completely unacceptable when I am quite sure BookIt is pocketing a substantial amount just going to the different lower rated hotel. These trips were booked April 2015 so there is no excuse for this. I should have the option of cancelling and getting my airline tickets refunded as well. I am willing to go to the Occidental as long as my sisters get booked there and we should be compensated for the serious inconvenience, not to mention this was not my first choice for resorts. I am seriously concerned about what level of service I can expect from a company that treats its customers this way.

I made my first booking through BookIt.com in late January at a Best Western. There was only one Best Western available as everything else was booked due to a big softball tournament. Because the rooms on their site did not indicate whether or not they were non-smoking rooms, I actually called a BookIt agent and he promised me (literally) the Suite Double I booked would be a non-smoking room. When I arrived that night, I was told there were no more non-smoking rooms and that BookIt had actually booked me a smoking room. After a lot of conversation, it was clear I was not getting a non-smoking room.
I called BookIt and they were completely unhelpful. They said they would do a review and get back to me. In the meantime, my ex-husband said he would switch rooms with me as he had a non-smoking room (my son and I are both allergic to smoke which is why I actually called to talk with the agent). Unfortunately, his room only had one bed, so my daughter slept on the floor. After 2 weeks, BookIt guest relations finally called me and said that there was indeed a "communication error," but because I had stayed in the hotel, the best they could offer me was a $50 future credit on BookIt.com. I think they know what they can do with that credit as I will never ever use BookIt.com again. Also be advised that if you cancel, you not only lose the full night, you get charged an extra $20. A horrible way to treat your customers!!!

Interesting that I come on here to rate them and I see they cross out anything they don't like. Hope they leave this one since it is all true. I recommend avoiding Bookit. For our 10 year anniversary we decided we were past due to take a trip somewhere warm without kids. We also chose to go with a group of friends. We took our time researching and choose a trip to Puerto Vallarta at Riu Jalisco. We went through the trouble of setting up child care, getting our things ready, recruiting other friends to go, and all the other investments it take to make a trip like this work. We have been very excited to leave.
Today we get a call that we no longer have rooms. They shared something about their rates being too low. After a friend calling the resort we were told that they cancelled their contract with Bookit. I can only imagine why. The response has been to either get a refund and now we are out a trip we have been looking forward to for a long time, and go to a resort that does not seem nearly as nice, and almost a little sketchy. This is clearly on the shoulders of Bookit as far as I'm concerned, and they need to step and provide us with an option that is either equal or better than what we had. That has not happened. Not sure how they messed up their contract, but it's not our fault yet we are paying the price. Book with somebody else, anyone. We went with them because they appeared to be a company to trust... boy were we wrong.

Confirmation email stated no need to contact hotel. When I got to my hotel, the charge to BookIt was declined. I had to pay the hotel and luckily had enough credit on my card to do so. After returning home and putting a dispute on my credit card because I had been charged by both bookit and the hotel, bookit paid the hotel, but shorted them $169 of what they had charged me. Still trying to get it straightened out.

I got an email notifying me that our hotel room was cancelled, 7 days from our trip. I called them, they confirmed this was true. They only offered solutions that were either inferior or would cost me more. They should have made up the difference in the hotel cost. The solutions were either 40 minutes away or in hotels that were rated and cost much less than our original hotel. The representative only gave me "canned" lines, but really didn't offer a solution that was satisfactory to us. They refunded the hotel amount and I called the hotel direct and made a reservation. It cost us a couple of extra dollars. I was very disappointed in their response.

On August 31, 2015, I used bookit.com to book a trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for a 7-night stay starting January 23, 2016. I had been watching prices and waited for a good deal, and when I saw lower prices on August 31st, I booked it. We were so excited to go to Ocho Rios for our 15-year anniversary. It's a trip we'd been saving for for over two years.
On January 11, 2016, a mere twelve days before our trip, we were contacted by bookit.com to advise that they were in the midst of re-negotiations with the Riu resorts and that our reservation would not be honored and they needed to put us into a different resort. I called immediately at approximately 12:30 pm. After being on hold for more than 45 minutes, I finally reached a representative. She kept suggesting that we could stay in a less expensive resort in Montego Bay. I informed her that I had paid good money to stay in Ocho Rios and had booked MONTHS before, and that I was unwilling to accept a resort two hours away from Ocho Rios. I wanted a comparable resort IN Ocho Rios as this was not my fault, as the customer, that their negotiations fell through and Riu no longer wanted to conduct business with them.
Due to the last minute timing of this, comparable resorts in Ocho Rios were going for $1200 more than what I had paid. Bookit said that they would pay $500, but I would have to come up with an additional $700 to stay in a resort in the same city as I had originally booked in. WHAT? This was their company's mistake and they are asking their customers to cough up more money to switch resorts. I begged them to keep me in the same city that I had paid for, but they would offer me no alternatives in Ocho Rios without me coughing up more money 12 days before our trip, which we couldn't afford to do. After spending from 12:30 pm - 11:00 pm on the phone either holding or talking to different reps, team leads and managers, I finally had to cave and accept a resort in Runaway Bay, more than 30 minutes away from Ocho Rios.
I have contacted bookit.com again to inquire about a refund to help with additional costs we incurred for the inconvenience of having been forced to have a vacation in a different city than we had paid for and they are unwilling to provide any type of refund, other than a $200 credit on a future booking through them at one of their bookit exclusive resorts. No thanks. Not interested in having another future vacation ruined. I incurred additional costs to do the same excursions out of Runaway Bay as the costs they would have been in Ocho Rios due to it being 30 minutes each way to come and get us. I am VERY disappointed in their service.

On 01/11/16, PayPal transferred payment to BookIt.com for a one day hotel stay in Anaheim. On 02/01/16, we arrived at the hotel and I was advised payment was not received from BookIt.com. That night I called BookIt.com and I was told not to worry. The representative said the hotel would receive payment the following day before I check out.
On 02/02/16, at 1100 hours, I checked out only to find payment had not been received. After both the hotel manager and I were on hold with BookIt.com for at least 30 minutes, we were both advised the Bookit.com payment system was down and they could not send the payment. The hotel manager told me the same thing happened to another guest 3 months prior with the same excuse of the system being down.
I am thankful it was only a one night stay and not a financial hardship to pay a second time for the room. Book it.com said they would credit me back my original payment, but that of course is not an immediate reimbursement because I used PayPal (up to seven business days to hit my checking account). I write this complaint to prewarn anyone using this vacation site to beware of their system failure.
I give them two stars because I have used them in the past without issue, but this was a huge error that is unacceptable in my opinion. The representative could see I paid for the hotel room, but claimed there was nothing they could do because of a system problem. When I asked representative if I could voice my complaint to a supervisor, she advised they were at lunch (of course).

I recently went to Costa Rica and used BookIt.com. I booked the trip in August of 2015. 5 days before my wife and I get a call from BookIt.com. They were calling to let me know that my hotel reservation was now being cancelled. We were going on the trip with a group a friends, so getting the specific resort was very important to us. They let me know that I had no choice too but to accept the cancellation, however my flight could not and would not be refunded. They told me that the resort was no longer accepting their reservations. I happened to find someone on Facebook that had the same experience, a few weeks prior, with a different country and resort. I posted on a comment, but BookIt.com later deleted the post. We were lucky enough to get a reservation directly with the resort, saving some of the frustration. However in doing this it cost us some additional money.
It took a few phone calls speaking with BookIt.com representatives, but I was finally able to get the supervisor to agree to reimburse us for the additional money it cost us to book. We exchanged some emails and I provided them proof of the cost I incurred, since they were not able to deliver on the package that I bought from them. It has now been about a month, and after multiple phone calls and emails to the supervisor, BookIt.com is no longer responding to me. As someone who works in customer service environment, I can sure understand difficult situations, however their behavior here is simply terrible when it comes to customer service. I booked and paid for a package from them. They were not able to deliver on that, and thus I should be compensated for the additional out of pocket expense.
Additionally, through the cancellation, not once did they even offer to help me re-book with another resort. Isn't that what they do? For them to agree to cover the costs and then stop responding is simply inexcusable. What was even more interesting was the fact that at my resort (Riu Guanacaste), who had a table set up right next to the front desk? BookIt.com had an agent there working to place people for excursions. Had I received the payment they committed to providing, I could move and perhaps say, that maybe we just had a difficult experience, but seeing that others have the same problems, and now them ignoring me, it points significantly to some poor practices in customer service, for a company that should exude top level service.

I booked via BookIt.com since they say you can pay upon arrival at your hotel. However, after reading the reviews & upon arrival I checked out the room & of course it was disgusting w/ roach poop & the area seemed a bit shady guys sitting around in hoodies so I cancelled. BookIt.com how can I cancel the day before if I'm not there to see what I'm getting. I left this up to you to make sure you are advertising at least decent rooms and nice security. I want my refund. Of course I didn't stay and will NEVER use BookIt.com again. Not recommend.

Never ever again will I ever use Bookit.com. And anyone I come in contact with I will always advise, DO NOT EVER NEVER use them!!! My experience was awful, my trip is still in the air, after it's been paid for, yet they tell me there is nothing they can do to fix the situation. No only that, they didn't even contact me to let me know half my vacation had been cancelled. I found out only because I logged on my account to purchase bags for our flight.
I've spent hours on hold and talking to reps to get NOWHERE!!! So sad. It was a surprise for my husband's birthday, that is ruined now, I also purchased as fishing trip that cannot be refunded, and our options won't let us get there since they changed out of the blue and no one let me know. As many of my friends know we were heading to Mobile, AL for Mardi Gras, I normally don't ask for my friends to pass negative information around but I want people to be aware. I used BookIt.com to make my reservation with a Holiday Inn in Mobile, AL. I've used them before along with Wyndham reservations and Orbitz. Please don't make the same mistake!!! Don't use BookIt.com. I drove 5 1/2 hours to get here. We are, and I called my hotel that we were going to have a late check-in. Get to hotel at 8:30 pm to find out our reservation had been cancelled. I was furious and thinking we were going to have to go back toward home to get a hotel. It was not Holiday Inn's fault!!! I had paid all my money $200+ days ago but BookIt.com didn't pay the hotel!!! Holiday Inn said after 700 pm they let room go to another person.
When I spoke to BookIt.com they said their computer system was down and she could refund my money in 10 days or book me another room in Mobile without indoor pool. Those of you who know my kids are aware of how they love to swim!!!! The lady from BookIt.com Naomi said she couldn't find one hotel with a indoor pool in all of Mobile or surrounding area. She could put us in a Hampton Inn 10 miles down the road for the same amount of money. Then the lady at Holiday Inn said they had a room available for Saturday which is where we originally wanted to stay with indoor pool. BookIt.com said we had to stay at Hampton Inn both nights because they had no one in their billing department that could pay the Holiday Inn. Hampton Inn was letting us stay even though BookIt.com couldn't pay them now for the room.
So I asked what if we pay the Holiday Inn for the second night so the kids can have a pool and just have them refund for our Saturday night stay. They said they couldn't do that because it was less than 24 hr notice. I have never and I mean never had such a hassle in my life. Kids upset in car and crying so we have to go back home. One upset because no pool! We paid our money and they wouldn't give it back or give us the room we rented. Their system was down! Not professional and I'll never use again! Please pass on. DON'T USE BookIt.com.

I booked an all inclusive trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I paid BookIt.com a total of $2507.24. I paid this in full on May 26, 2015. My trip was scheduled to Arrive Barcel Dominican Beach hotel January 10th, 2016, and depart January 16th, 2016. Upon arrival at the hotel I was told by the person who would check us in that Bookit.com had not yet paid for our room, and I would be required to put up a credit card and allow a hold of $1728.00 in order to check into the room.
Since my choice was either allow the credit card hold, or go home, I gave them my credit card. I contacted bookit.com via phone, and was told that there was a problem transmitting money to the hotel, but it would be resolved "soon". This issue was not resolved until January 15th, the day before we were to leave the hotel. Eventually the hold was taken off of my credit card, but our trip was ruined with worrying about if we would be charged the additional money or not. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE who is considering booking a vacation. This trip was a disaster.

The BookIt.com site is very easy to navigate - the option to change flights is extremely useful. The prices are a very good value and lower than airline vacation sites. I have booked 2 vacations this year and have used BookIt in the past. Keep up the excellent work.

On Saturday 23rd I made a reservation for 2 nights at the Quality Inn Halifax NS starting Sun Jan 24th. Upon arrival at the hotel, I discovered there was no record on the reservation. I called on my cell phone your call centre. After a wait time of about 20mins, an operator answered and took note of my problem. She went offline to investigate came back about 10 mins later and apologized and will contact the hotel directly.
While I was placed on hold during this wait time I discovered the hotel was undergoing renovations to a number of floors and really was in a construction zone. We decided that this wasn't suitable for us to stay after checking the potential room we could have. After another 20 mins or so the operator came back online and advise she had contacted the hotel directly and had confirmed our reservation with hotel front desk. By this time we had decided to move onto another hotel and told her to cancel and arrange a refund to my credit card. She advised she would need to seek authority for that In the meantime we moved out and went to another satisfactory hotel. During the journey my cell phone was still on and maybe 15-20 mins later the operator came back on full of apologies and advised we would get a full refund.
So my airtime usage was about 60 mins, consuming much of my allowable airtime on my cell phone plan. Conversational time in all this was about 10 mins in total but in between I was subjected to a constant bombardment of useless US BookIt advertising which was driving us crazy about "Do you know that ---". Why can't you play soothing music for frustrated customers?? Why can't your operators respond without delay - I guess you have a staffing shortage. Why are they not tried to handle emergencies like this??? I am sorry but I will not use BookIt.com again.

The ease of booking our trip was great. The only issue I had was when we pushed "Book It", the next page the price had gone up about 125.00. We still booked the trip, we had our hearts set on it, but the price change was ridiculous. We are thinking of looking around for another price, to compare. If we find a cheaper price we may change to that one.

Filthy and outdated interior of hotel and especially the rooms. Checked into my room, bed linens had not been changed, window locks were broken, greasy night stand, no coffee pot, hallway reeked of pot or? Checked out to their sister hotel, Holiday Inn for an excellent stay!

Bought my first vacation package using the site. A flight and hotel for 2 people to Mexico. Checkout - I had to use 2 browsers to check out. One browser didn't show an "airport transfer" option at checkout. I had to re-add-to-cart to make the option show again in another browser (must be a website bug). Vacation package SHOULD have included that in the price. Cost almost another $100 to get from the airport to hotel and back. NOWHERE did it show me that Spirit airline would GOUGE us on luggage fees. 2 people with one carry on and one piece of checked luggage, round trip is almost...DRUM ROLL...$400 added to the vacation.
That is WAY TOO much of a hidden fee/fact. It is not till after checkout does this little fact rear its head. Lastly. Now that I paid, the emailed receipt left off important flight information. Spirit emailed and said I "could" get a luggage discount IF I give them my last name and confirmation number and prepay. I wasn't given that information on my receipt. When I tried to find BookIt.com customer support link on the website (of course it is hidden) I decided to call. After 20 minutes of wait time, I hung up. So here I am with a good priced deal...add $100 for a cab, $400 for luggage and still I don't have the flight information I need and I am not sure when or if it will be emailed to me.

After all the struggle to get to my destination in regard of time, after getting to our hotel to check in, we encountered probably the biggest and worst case scenario a travel agency can give you: "There's a problem with your reservation sir, the reservation is here but your travel agency Bookit.com has not made any payment for your stay here. Please contact them, we are not responsible for this." We were on the phone on hold for around 3 hours and the when finally someone answered it was this lady with terrible and very low english speaking skills, which just made everything worse because I couldn't understand her a bit! Call after call we ended up having to pay for the first night out of our pockets because they still couldn't do the payment. Never again with bookit.com!!!

My son's hockey team is traveling for games. They booked rooms at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Wentzville, MO. I missed the deadline for booking with the group rate so I went to BookIt.com. I typed in Wentzville and I just looked through the hotels until I found the Fairfield Inn and I booked it. However when I looked at my confirmation email it stated I booked the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in St. Charles, MO, not in Wentzville, MO. Had I known this was the wrong hotel I wouldn't have booked it. I had the opportunity to book a nicer hotel (4 stars) for $25 cheaper than what I'm paying to stay at the wrong hotel. On top of all of that I'm in a room that smells so bad of mildew it's giving me a headache. I travel a lot (this is my third hotel stay in 3 weeks) and I will never use BookIt again.

On 12/21/2015 I purchased an all inclusive vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from BookIt.com. The advertised price was $1482.00 (clearly said 3-night package with flight, all inclusive, departure flight info, return flight info, includes tax, recovery charge and service fees. Guest 1: adult hotel&flight $741, guest 2: adult hotel&flight $741. Your BookIt.com total $1482). When I went on with the purchase the amount charged by BookIt.com was $2136.00. I called right away and was promised a refund of $631.00 and received a confirmation e-mail stating that my credit card was refunded. I went on the vacation as planned and did not receive a refund.
I called 2 more times and was assured that I was charged the wrong amount and should be getting a refund any day now. The agents kept blaming "the system" and various excuses as of why I did not get my money back but after every conversation I requested an email confirming that I am due money. After a month I did not receive anything and I called again. The supervisor told me that my card was charged the right amount and I am not getting any refund. I told her that I spoke with 2 different representatives and they all said that I am due money. I also stated that I have confirmation emails proving all that and that I have a screenshot of their site with the 1482.00. She had the nerve to tell me that refund confirmation email was send by mistake and that all the representatives were wrong and the 2136.00 was the right amount.
So to conclude, I bought something for 1482.00 my card was charged 2136.00. I was promised a refund from 2 agents before my vacation (otherwise I would of cancel it) and received emails that my card was refunded and after I got back from vacation the supervisor from that business explains to me that I was charged the right amount, I just didn't know it!!! So I decided to play along and asked why I was not notified. The supervisor said that they have the right to change the amount of the product. When asked how is that legal I was told again that my frustration is being understood.

I would warn people not to book your vacation with this company. In October I booked a romantic January getaway in Mexico for my fiancé and myself with this company. After 10 hours of travel and very little sleep we arrived at our hotel to find out that BookIt had not paid our hotel and we were forced to pay AGAIN just to get into our room. Our credit card now has two charges for the same room. One from October with BookIt and one from January from the hotel. We tried to avoid these charges by calling the customer service number listed on our confirmation and I remained on hold in the hotel lobby for nearly an hour. Exhausted and out of options we simply paid again.
Now, 24 hours later we have called again, emailed, tweeted, and Facebook messaged to no avail. I believe this company doesn't care about their customers nor their clients. What use is a romantic tropical getaway if you are double charged and spend the entire duration wondering if you will ever hear from a cs rep and get your money back. This is a terrible first impression and I hope that everyone books directly with hotels rather than relying on this questionable company. I don't know if I will ever get my money back, but my next steps are to contact my cc company and pursue as fraudulent charges.

I was traveling in the dominican republic jan 29th to jan 19th 2016. I used bookit as I usually do every 4 months when I travel. When I went to check into the hotel I was told that bookit did not confirm the reservation and didn't release the money to the hotel. We were left hours being denied access to check in. We called the bookit over a dozen times only to be on hold and wait hours on the phone and then hung up on. I had my documents to show my hotel was paid in full and still could not check in to the hotel. Once I did get a hold of two customer service agents and explained the situation I was either immediately hung up on or placed on hold for 30 mins and then the call was disconnected.
Between roaming charges and the hotel charging us 20 pesos a minute it cost us over $100 out of pocket to try to get this situation resolved and still not one person from bookit would speak with us. We ended up having to pay out of pocket for the hotel otherwise we would still be standing in the lobby. I am an avid traveler and recommend bookit to all friends family and clients but after this I will no longer use or rely on this company to do business with in the future. In the last year I have given bookit $1000's of dollars in business and it's a shame this is the type of service I receive.

My 87 year old father paid for me to arrange a trip for 11 members of his family through BookIt.com to travel to Excellence Riviera Cancun from January 9th thru January 16th, 2016. All payments made by me via my American Express were paid in advance (with my BookIt.com booking ID profiles showing the exact dates and times of all payments received). This trip totaled over $22,000. BookIt.com provided our family five (5) hotel confirmation #s via email months in advance of the trip (#**). My BookIt ID# was **.
Our flight to Cancun and our transport to the hotel went smoothly. Upon arrival at the resort, management informed our group that BookIt.com had not yet paid the resort for our rooms. They said that they should be able to resolve this issue within a couple of days, but they would not let us check in to our rooms without a credit card to cover the costs. Therefore, I provided a credit card for the entire group of five (5) rooms.
Each day during the supposedly relaxing vacation, I had to go to the concierge desk and call BookIt.com to try to get information proving that they paid the resort for our rooms. I spoke with BookIts accounts payable representative, Leslie several times during the weeks (and even several times a day) in an attempt to resolve this issue. BookIt (and Leslie 888-782-9722) were unable to provide me with any confirming information for payment for our resort reservations. They wouldn't even fax/email me a copy of the payment, claiming that they paid for a large group of rooms in one lump sum payment and I was not allowed to have records other than my reservation payments. She claimed she couldn't even give me the transaction # for this payment, nor would she send me a letter certifying that BookIt had made the payment.
The resort claimed that BookIt did in fact make a payment via a credit card, but the card was denied due to insufficient funds. This daily effort occurred throughout my family's 8 day stay at the resort and upon checkout, BookIt was unable to confirm payment to the resort. My credit card was charged over $15,000 for payment of the resort reservations. Of course, I am disputing this charge with American Express, and am hoping that I can get these charges reversed, but the resort would then be out the money for our reservations.
BookIt was absolutely ZERO HELP in confirming what they did with our funds that were paid well in advance for these reservations, nor were they concerned with my dilemma of being charged (twice) for one vacation. Upon returning home, I did a simple search on Google for Bookit.com complaints and found out that many, many people were in my same situation since about the beginning of December 2015.
It amazes me that BookIt.com doesn't seem concerned with my loss of $15,000+ nor even attempting to give me any confirming documents that they paid the resort for my reservations. I guess they are near bankruptcy and trying to use new booking reservations funds to cover the costs of the past reservations they have already committed. Now a large group of customers are being screwed over, and yet Bookit.com continues to do business as usual. I hope to find an organization (investigative, press, lawyers, other) who will try to find out the true story at BookIt.com and hopefully prevent other people from losing their hard earned money, while BookIt.com continues to use their revenues as a large Ponzi scheme. I will not be screwed over without a fight.

I initially called and had a long conversation with a female agent- over 30 minutes. She put me on hold to call the hotel for me at my request and I received valuable room details. Everything was going well. Finally, I gave her my card number to book and there was an airline error. She put me on hold to research the error and we got disconnected. I waited 30 minutes for her to call me back to finish the sale- she did not call me back. I called back and had to start all over because while I was waiting for her call, my search ID number online changed. This made the whole process extremely frustrating. There needs to be policy that your agents call back when disconnected in order to continue the sale. I lost an hour trying to book one trip!

Overall a good experience with BookIt. I ended up having to call in because online I couldn't get the same deal as my friend. We are going as a group. We wanted to fly out together. It ended up costing me a little ($150) more too, which I wasn't thrilled about. She was the first and only of our group that was able to book online and get the deal. Everyone else had to call to get the same flight and it cost more. The customer service rep was very nice!

I am so displeased with your service that I can't even find a bright side to look at and forget about this. My wife had planned a surprise vacation for us for our 3rd wedding anniversary by booking a trip to Cancun, Mexico from California. We were so excited to travel to Mexico for the first time. However, our excitement turned into frustration when we reached our Hotel only to find out that our reservation has been cancelled due to non-payment from BookIt. I have traveled to many places in my life and I have never had something like this happen before.
How can such an important change go unnoticed by BookIt? We were left stranded in the hotel lobby for 2 hours while tried to reach customer service. Could you imagine the anger and frustration going through our minds for those 2 hours? We lost valuable daylight and couldn't do the activities we had planned that day and it was a short vacation anyways. We did reach customer service and they were able to book us in a different hotel but it was not close to what we had originally booked. We had booked a romance room package which had Jacuzzi in room but our new room though good did not have any romantic element in it. It basically took away a chunk of our excitement. I am very displeased with BookIt and never going to book through them again. I have already advised some of my friends to not book through them who were going to book the same vacation package from them.

This was my first and last time booking through BookIt.com. I usually book through Hotels.com, but found a room cheaper through BookIt.com - so what do I do? I book the room. Today I found a better deal through the agency that booked my flights, so I decided to go online to BookIt.com to cancel my reservation and my reservation was not available. It said "There are no upcoming bookings planned", so I double check my bank and they processed the booking twice - one went through, the other is still pending.
I decide to call and I am on hold for 40 minutes. I get a representative that asks for my BookIt ID, I give it to her and obviously she is not listening because she then says "Whenever you are ready to give me your BookIt ID". I then say "You need me to repeat it again?" I give her the information again and she pulls up the reservation, I advise her I want to cancel it; although I read there is a price match guarantee and I am within the 24 hour window. I am hoping she offers me the price match to keep me with them since they already charged me. It came out of my account and I really didn't want to wait for the funds to be credited back to me. But nope, she tells me she is going to place me on hold to process the cancellation.
I am on hold for 10 more minutes, comes back and tells me she has cancelled my reservation and I will be charged a cancellation fee of $19.95. When I booked the reservation, it said "Free cancellation". There is no "Free Cancellation". There is a fee attached to ALL cancellations. This whole ordeal put a bad taste in my mouth and I will NEVER book through them again nor will I recommend it to anyone else. I travel A LOT and everyone always asks where I go and I tell them, but when they ask next time I will be sure to advise them to stay away from BookIt.com. I have had way better service through Hotels.com and I plan to book exclusively through them for my hotels.

I made 3 attempts to contact the customer service department. First attempt I was on hold for 22mins, talked to a girl for 5 mins. She put be back on hold for 17 mins and then the call was dropped. 2nd the call dropped after 5mins on hold. 3rd attempt was on hold for 28 mins. A guy picked up the phone with no record of my prior call and before I could get across what I needed the call dropped again and I am calling from a land line phone NOT a cell so it wasn't me! No attempt to call me back! I am a 5-month long pregnant women who is trying to rebook her trip to Puerto Rico to a new destination because of the Zika outbreak as recommended by the CDC but I can't get a hold of anyone at BookIt to help me.

My experience in Puerto Vallarta was wonderful. The flight and the hotel were beautiful and more than met my expectations. My problem was with Bookit and the hotel bill. When I arrived at the hotel the management had their hands out asking for a credit card to guarantee my room because had not been paid for. I spent hours on the phone with concierge trying different numbers and I never got in touch with Bookit. I finally used another credit card and charged my room. In the meanwhile I phone my daughter at home to try and reach bookit and they said they were aware of the problem. 6 days later the problem was not resolved and my American Express was charged for a hotel bill that I thought I had paid for. You cannot imagine how upsetting that was.

I have used many travel sites as well as travel agents and BookIt.com is by far the easiest, most user friendly, as well as the cheapest. I'll never book another vacation elsewhere!

My brother and I booked 1/10/2016 through 1/16/2016 trips to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. His trip was booked and paid for in Feb, 2015, and mine in November, 2015. When we arrived at the Dominican Beach hotel we were told that BookIt.com had not paid the hotel and we would have to put up our credit cards for payment until BookIt.com paid the bill. This maxed out my credit card and I was unable to charge any additional trips or events for the balance of my stay. Each day we would check with the hotel desk and each day we were told that BookIt.com still hadn't paid.
Finally, on 1/14/2016 my brother called his credit card company who placed a third-party call to Bookit.com. BookIt.com kept us on hold for nearly 45 minutes at international call rates. Eventually we were assured the problem would be resolved the next day and on 1/15/2016, the day before we were to check out, the problem was resolved. The phone call cost over $60. Additionally, while we were talking with hotel personnel we encountered at least 6 other couples who had the same, identical problem with BookIt.com. At least one couple was unable to put up a credit card and were forced to use all of their available cash to secure their room. BookIt.com ruined our vacation and I will NEVER use them again.

We booked a hotel in Vancouver expecting to pay in Canadian dollars. We are charged in US dollars with exchange that really negated the deal. The detail of rates US is on page 5 of 8 pages in the confirmation. I didn't think this was fair.

I booked a trip through BookIt.com to Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas 7 months prior to departure. Today (one week prior to trip) I get an email stating that no reservation was ever made. In complete shock, I thought there was no way this could be true. How could I book a trip 7 months ahead of time and at the last minute be told that I had nowhere to stay. Sure enough, I called Riu Palace and they confirmed that they had no record of me. BookIt.com offered to switch me to another hotel but how completely worthless is that? If I wanted to stay at another hotel I would have booked it, and why would I go down to Cabo and not be in the same resort as the rest of the group. They all actually did have reservations because they booked through Travelocity and Expedia.

This is the first time I write bad review to any online travel agency. BookIt.com simply offered me the worst experience. A simple date change on a flight itinerary literally took me 3 hours, and I still was not able to reasonably rebook with them. I ended up directly calling the airline, paying additional $25 to bookit.com for their "manual processing fee". Their agents were so disorganized and unhelpful. Their phone call waiting time was so long. Their system was so broken. I was surprised I did not say the F word in the end. NEVER BOOK WITH IT. - Angry customer.

I recently booked a trip on BookIt.com. Less than 24 hours later the price had dropped on their website and also Travelocity. Their website mentions that if the price drops within less than 24 hours, they will issue a refund for the difference. I sent a few emails to inquire about this, and now a week later, no one has responded to my emails. I tried calling a few times and waited on hold for at least 20 minutes and no one answered my calls. I am very disappointed that there is zero customer service and that no one bothered to respond to the emails or answer the phone. I will likely not book through this site again. Other than that, the booking experience was fine, the system was easy to use and navigate.

Bookit.com did not pay the resort and we had to pay a second time at the resort. We made 4 one-hour long phone calls to bookit.com, 2 were dropped, 1 promised to pay… never did, 1 never connected. Dismal customer service. Bookit.com reimbursed us ~$7,300 although we had paid at the hotel ~$ 8,300. Now they do not answer my e-mails. Let's see what the attorney general can do? Bookit.com is a fraud. They quote you a low price, then don't pay the hotel, and thus it costs much more at the end! Plus you have a ruined vacation because of the hours spent on the phone and the aggravation to get (partially) reimbursed. I do NOT recommend bookit.com.

We vacation frequently and this time wanted to give BookIt a chance. We booked on Jan 6th and due to work we had to postpone our vacation. We called BookIt and explained the situation. They told us we had to cancel with Spirit Airlines first. We called Spirit Airlines and cancelled, however, we were charged cancellation fees and passenger fees, and we are not getting the rest our money back. Spirit Airlines said we had 60 days from today to use our available credit. The reason we had to cancel in the first place is because of work, and now they say we have 60 days from now to use our credit!
We asked to re-book for December, they said we couldn't as they did not have a flight schedule yet. Therefore, we lose all our money. We called BookIt again, and they told us, they could not do nothing, even though, we booked through them and not through Spirit Airlines. I have submitted a complaint on DOT, and at this point, since I don't think it's right for BookIt or Spirit Airlines to keep our money and not be able to use our credit we have no other choice but to take legal action. BookIt is the worst experience ever! Do not waste your money or time with this company! You will give your money away!

I booked a room at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas on 1/8/2016, the photo that was on your website is totally different from the actual rooms. The photo shows a king size bed with a spa tub. When I checked in and got to my room there was 2 queen size beds with no spa and the smelled like an ashtray. I was very disappointed because at the time of the reservation I specified what I really wanted. When I called bookit.com and spoke to Dana she apologized however she was unable to assist me. After I requested a supervisor she transferred me to Ian who identified himself as a supervisor and final decision maker. I had to explain my situation again and he was unable to assist as well. All he kept saying was that he apologized for any inconvenience. I was finally (after 2 hours of going back and forth with him) was upgraded to a king size non smoking room however no one cares if I was dissatisfied.
