    We made a hotel reservation in Vegas through Bookit, but Allegiant airways cancelled our flight causing our trip to delay one day. Some members of our party made their reservations directly with the hotel and were not penalized for the schedule change. We were charged a full night's stay plus tax and fees for the night. We missed because we made our reservation through Bookit. Bookit claims to save you money, but if something happens to change your schedule, you're much better off dealing directly with the hotel. Lesson learned.

    My new wife and I booked our honeymoon through Bookit.com. This is not the first trip that we booked with them and up until this time we have had good experience. Well this trip turned into the worst trip we have had... The night before our trip we printed out our itinerary showing that our flight was to leave at 630am. We had arranged a limo service to and from the airport. We arrived at the airport 2 hours early like you are required to do only to find out that our flights were changed without us being notified and according to the airlines they were changed over 6 months prior. The flights we were on now left at 830am. Finally when we arrive at our destination it is 3 hours later than we originally booked. On the resort we meet with our representative to arrange our transport back to the airport from the hotel. We are advised that we are leaving at 930am and our flight is departing at 1230pm.

    Ok that is the same as what we had on our itinerary. We arrived at the airport for our flight home check in, only to find out that now the flight we are on does not leave until 345pm!!! We immediately bring out copy of the itinerary we printed out over to the ticket counter and the rep from American Airlines was very nice but stated that our flight numbers that were showing on our itinerary again were removed over 6 months prior and that these flights do not exist anymore. The rep, did everything she could to try and get us on a earlier flight home even switching our route home. The new flight she was able to get us on left at 1pm but had to go further away and we would get to our final destination a hour and a half later than our original flights we booked.

    As previously stated I had a limo company picking us up from the airport so now while outside of the country I had to try and contact the company with our new flight information to make sure we could actually get home. When we finally arrived home and called Bookit.com's customer support phone number the lady on the phone was rude and very unprofessional telling my wife that it was our fault that we were not aware of the flight changes when we were never notified and our itinerary was never updated by Bookit.com. This we found very odd considering on the bottom of their webpage it states "At BookIt.com we take Guest Support very seriously. In fact, one of our Core Values states that if our guests are merely satisfied, we haven't done our job. Total guest relation is our goal, and we work tirelessly to ensure that each and every guest is so elated with their experience that they stop conversations to tell others about us."

    I did enjoy using your site to book our vacation. A concern would be to make it easier to go back and compare amenities and different rooms available. That was often frustrating.     I booked my honeymoon package with BookIt.com through the online portal. I had no problem finding the hotel and flights I wanted but ran into trouble when attempting to book the correct flights and seating. Each time I tried to book the preferred flight, the site defaulted my order to another flight each time. Not wanting to lose the room reservation, my fiance and I booked, thinking it would be no problem to change or upgrade the flights once initially booked. This is where BookIt.com really failed us.

    We called the airline first, and United told us that we would have to make any changes through BookIt and not them. I logged into the BookIt.com reservation portal and attempted to change the flights, but they have a big red "Important: Please Contact the Airline directly to modify your booking" message. Seeing this, I called BookIt. After spending many, many minutes on hold and placing my Booking ID and purpose for calling into the automated system, the first thing I hear when a person picks up the phone is a request for my booking ID and my reason for calling. This happened each of the three times I called, and I will summarize each call below:

    Call 1: I made this call the night after booking. 30 minute hold time on Monday night. I was informed that I had a 24 hour hold on making any changes (I booked at 9pm Sunday night, called around 7pm Monday), but once the hold expired I could make changes. I was told I would not, however, be able to call again later as the flight reservations portal closed at 8pm PST. I hung up and decided to call back the next day.

    Call 2: Tuesday morning before work. 45 minutes on hold and no answer. Hung up to go to work. Call 3: Tuesday evening after work. Wasn't able to get home until 7pm, called and spent 40 minutes on hold before the first operator answers. As it was about 15 minutes to 8pm, I asked her to please transfer me to flight reservations so I could talk to someone before they closed. Was transferred and put on hold until 8:10pm, at which time I hung up.

    Call 4: Wednesday evening after work. Got home and called at 6:30. Hold time was about 55 minutes. Spoke to a lady who informed me I would have to pay a $200 change fee to get the flights I wanted, independent of any difference in seating price. I told her I would pay no such fee, as the flights I had booked were not what we intended to book in the first place, and it was their website which forced us to select them. Furthermore, the flights are 3 1/2 months away, so it is completely ridiculous to charge me a fee as though I was inconveniencing someone.

    After telling my 10 reasons she can't help me, the lady finally says that she will call United and see if they will waive the change fee since. She places me on hold, then tells me 15 minutes later that United has refused to waive the change fee. I ask to speak with the person from United, since I can't call United myself to make any changes, and she says she can't connect me because she's some special representative for only BookIt to use. She says she can call United's regular number and we can talk to them together, which I agree to. She says she's going to connect me, but then promptly transfers me to the regular United airlines call line and disconnects herself.

    BookIt.com is unhelpful with what I consider a completely reasonable request, especially in light of the initial problem being their website. I would recommend no one ever use this service. Especially hilarious of these people is their Guest Support website portal, which leads to a "page no longer exists" error. Try it yourself at the below address: http://bookit.com/customer-support/ It's ok, though, because their customer service doesn't exist in actuality, so at least that part of the website is telling the truth.

    This was about the worst booking experience I have ever experienced. If you will check your records you will see that everything was cancelled. All of the cancellations came with two nights the same Hotel same weekend with just myself. Interesting right? And only be topped by Spirit Airlines booking me 7 flights on the same flight same weekend and then your representative had the audacity to tell me it was my fault! Yes well why would I book 2 rooms on the same weekend? And why would I book six flights on the same flight really? I dealt with probably four different people at 2 hour increments. This was the biggest waste of time of my life! And I can assure you I have told everybody about what a nightmare it is to book with you. Let alone get a hold of you after I realized everything was screwed up. And maybe don't send me anymore "thank you for booking with us" because you didn't understand I didn't book with you right?

    This site was a breeze to use. I would like the option of having more filters on the mobile site and the desktop version. Compared prices and options with other sites and this one was best the majority of the time. They offered hotels that CheapCaribbean didn't. One thing I did get frustrated at is the number of times we had to try to finalize the booking because the flights - times/prices - are constantly changing. We ended up with a great one though.     I was told by a representative with BookIt.com that if I modified my trip on my own, online, there were no fees. I went in and changed the dates of my trip and later received emails from BookIt that they were charging me a $25 fee. The website also does not indicate anywhere when modifying the dates that there will be a charge for this. I am not happy. I have used BookIt.com for over 5 years when scheduling travel. I like the convenience of the pay delay. However, going forward I may just book through my travel agent and save myself the annoyance and surprise fees. This trip may be my last one booked through BookIt.

    My experience with BookIt has been absolutely horrible! They are completely unprofessional and put you on hold for (at least) a half hour at a time because they have no clue what they're doing. They charged my card 4 times and it took over 3 hours to speak to a manager to fix it! 1 month prior to the trip our flights were changed with 8-hour layovers to and from our destination! Defeats the purpose of a vacation! Would not recommend to anyone ever unless you like wasting your time and money!

    Tamara was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made sure that all details were covered. I booked a vacation for 12 people with half of them coming in from another city. She was able to get us connected at the layover so we can fly into San Juan together. The only downside of this experience is that it took 2 1/2 hours on the phone to make it happen.     I had to stay in the hotel because my flight was rebooked for 24 hours later. The hotel was clean and the room was nice. Breakfast was not included in the price. When I asked them for it they mentioned breakfast was an extra 30 dollars. I work in a Hampton inn in Indiana and the standards of this hotel are horrible and should be shut down! Couldn't believe how dirty!!! Would not refund my money back or walk me to another hotel for the night. Very poor hospitality skills. Who is the inspector of this place? They need to come more often or a new person needs to inspect!

    DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I am so upset! I thought this site was like most that strives to service its customers... NOT so. After filling out the booking date, info, terms & conditions, I hit 'BOOK NOW'. When the next screen came up I noticed it was for the wrong date. I immediately called the number and was SHOCKED to learn I had to pay not only a $25.00 hotel fee but an additional $25.00 cancellation fee!!! A total of $50.00 for a $66.00 reservation. Really???

    The call representative was very adamant the 'terms & conditions' spell out this feature. I felt I had been scammed and taken advantage of for a predatory $50.00 fee. I told her all I wanted to do was change the date two days and it wouldn't affect the reservation at all. She continued to spout the Terms & Conditions mantra. I told her 1) They need to add a 'review' screen to their site; 2) Need to warn buyers of the cancellation fee upfront; 3) Put BOLD print on their precious 'Terms & Conditions' so buyers will see it. I booked it direct with the hotel.

The charges include "cleaning fee", "registration fee", "amenity fee", "additional fee", & "damage waiver fee" with extra charges totaling $227.     This is the first time that I book with your website and I was looking forward to the $50 gift card to restaurant.com that you advertise free on your website with the hotel and nights that I booked. When I informed the person assisting me she told me it was too late to provide this that I had to tell her before. I don't agree with this as I am the customer and your company is the one providing this incentive so I don't understand why I would have to tell your agent in the beginning of the reservation as this should be known by the agent that is helping me on the phone.

    To be fair, I found the website to be well designed and easy to use. Also, the BookIt rate was slightly cheaper than almost all competitors, although the customer service was subpar. I booked my vacation at 9:30 am and by 11 am BookIt was offering the exact same package for $30 cheaper (which I believe was attributable to a change in the service fees charged). I realize this is not much. Albeit, I called, explaining this change in less than 2 hours, and requested a credit for the change in fees (which is really unexplainable in my opinion).

    Customer service denied my request, offered no explanation, but a simple read from a cue card of their policy on price changes and how credits cannot be issued. I was disappointed to say the least. I have had similar situations with other travel agencies and as long as it's within a 24 hour period they're usually much more accommodating. Hopefully the actual trip booked will turn out much better. Customer service experience will have me re-considering future trips using this travel agency.

    I booked a trip to Costa Rica through them. I looked at the nice pictures of Cocoon Hotel and I thought it would be ok for me. The shock came when I was there. The room dirty, smelly, not Tv, not enough light to read, no warm water in the morning. I don't know if these internet companies if ever visit a place or if they know what they are selling. Anyways, I will never book through them and I will post all over the internet for others to be careful. They do not respond to email complaints and don't do anything to resolve the problem. I called them from Costa Rica and they said that they are not able to refund my hotel. The locals of course do not want to refund. In one word, a totally ruined vacation. Thank you Bookit.

    To be fair my online experience today was very easy and flawless. No real issues to speak of. But that was not the case yesterday when I attempted to book the same trip but with very different results. At the end of booking yesterday I was shown a message advising that my flight bookings were fine but my lodging had an issue against error code 18458466 and for me to call a toll free number to get the issue resolved. That's when things got bad. The rep that handled my call was first off in a very loud area. I could overhear several other reps assisting customers on the phone. Granted this is not the rep's fault but something should be done about that.

    The rep however made things 100 times worse by apparently not understanding what the error code I provided her meant. She placed me on hold for a couple minutes and came back and said the issue is that there are two guests that have the same name and that was an issue. That made no sense to me but whatever but I explained that my son and I have the same name. Kinda think that's a pretty normal thing so I'm not sure why your system would flag that. After making that distinction with her I was placed on an even longer hold and the rep comes back on the line and says that my son is not of qualifying age for the hotel I selected. Again, made no sense to me because other family members of mine booked this trip through you guys for the same hotel and they have kids around the same age so I was not understanding nor accepting that as a problem.

    I was placed on hold AGAIN and was advised that I'm all set and that she's going to secure my reservation now. After reading my credit card number to her three times she finally got it. She asked if she could place me on hold for a 3rd time and then came back and said that the hotel I selected is no longer available and that she would have to switch it to another location. AGAIN... MAKES NO SENSE!! How could this hotel be unavailable and yet you guys are offering it as part of a bundle package for the dates I selected. Makes even less sense when you consider I was able to secure the same hotel today online without dealing with a rep. This conversation with your rep lasted 50 minutes and it amounted to NOTHING. I told her to forget about it that I would figure something out and this rep couldn't care less about all the issues that came up during this call that shouldn't couldn't resolve.

    Nearly an HOUR on the phone and it amounted to NOTHING. I was hell bent on making other arrangements with another site but because so many other family members are part of this trip and booked through you guys. I decided to give it another try this morning so that all of our arrangements would be similar. I think it's important that this feedback is provided so that you guys can do things to fix them. As it stands right now I can't see myself using this again and I'd imagine more bad experiences like this will only lead to more and more customers never returning.

    When making a modification to the hotel reservation when using PayDelay, the Bookit site does not accurately reflect the total cost of the trip. If a prior payment was made, the total amount paid did not carry over to the new booking in full. When you speak to a customer service representative, they tell you it will cost $19.95 to get an complete statement of charges. Outrageous!!! In order to find out the total cost of the complete trip, you have to calculate it yourself.

    We just planned a trip to St. Martin for our anniversary prior to me deploying to Afghanistan (4th deployment). The websites we viewed and the resort concierge assured us that we did not need a passport. It wasn't until we drove several hours to the airport where we found out this was not the case. The Bookit.com website did not indicate otherwise. Even when you go to the government passport/customs page the information is not easy to find. We called Bookit.com and they told us we'd be reimbursed $150 out of $2000 we paid. Also, we could book another flight for a fee of $450. Talk about ruining our first true romantic vacation (without kids). I recommend a feature that ensures travelers verify travelling documentation prior to purchase. We fell prey due to lack of knowledge and trusting in the system itself. Customer service showed us no mercy and therefore we will never use or recommend this website ever again. Not military friendly!

    I tried to reserve a hotel through BookIt.com for 7/7-7/8. These dates were confirmed and reviewed by my wife and I. Upon confirmation it shows 7/8-7/9. We immediately called customer service to make them aware of the situation. A rude lady said it's customer error and it cannot be changed without paying a fee. We told her numerous times that this was not a customer error as she needs to review the original dates selected. She put us on hold and did not come back for several minutes. We have been charged the full amount with no reservation. While we will look for additional consultation as to how to deal with this unethical practice, we are shocked how poor the process and customer service is with BookIt.com. DO NOT USE! There are other options. We learned the hard way!

    I wasn't pleased with how flight wasn't able to change our seating so my daughter and I can sit together. I had to ask the kiosk to help me get seats together. Luckily did. I also didn't like the fact that BookIt didn't send me notification of my upcoming flight info as well as no information on the rental car company. When we arrived to Cabo, San Lucas I had to scramble around trying to find one I had reservations with and it's 4th of July weekend. There was hardly nothing left. I luckily after 40 min and not knowing where to go finally Thrifty rental had a car I ended up through them spending more money than what I was quoted. I won't be using this service again.
