Found same exact trip on Expedia for 380.00 less. Called to talk I someone about price and was hung up on by Donovan, Twice! Was also hung up on by Allison. Tried to cancel on your site, says an error has occurred and won't let me. Probably gonna hold me off for the 24 hours. Called my credit card company, it's all taken care of. You guys suck. Not an honest company.

For over an hour I was on the phone with someone trying to make sure my vacation was all set and just the way we wanted it. Which was a five night stay at the holiday in at Aruba, all inclusive package. I was assured multiple times that's what I was booked for. Two weeks later we come to check in and they say there was no all inclusive package booked for me. All I got from a BookIt rep on the phone was a pathetic "I'm sorry". After a 9 and a half hour day of travel coming to my resort and adding an extra 890$ on top of my 2,000+ dollar trip was the icing on the cake thanks to BookIt! I will never use this site again nor recommend it.

Wanted to add trip insurance and make sure my cc was updated. Had to call somewhere else but went to another company. Call was okay not friendly, but professional. Would have preferred a happier and friendly voice from the person on the other end of the phone.

Had to change the dates on my reservation and was really worried it was going to be an issue. Other than the fact that I have to wait on the refund from my airline tickets the process was stress free. The young lady was a great help and my reservation was changed successfully.

I had my package all ready and when I submitted it kicked me back. I had to deselect my flight, which then had increased by approx $30 pp. I had to remain on the flight due to booking with another couple.

I booked a special trip for my birthday milestone back in September through BookIt.com for Breathless hotel in Jamaica. I have friends/family joining me for my birthday celebration. They are currently booked with Secrets. Now that Breathless won't be opening until March, I'm out of a place to stay. I reached out to BookIt.com after they left me a message regarding the hotel delay.
I finally spoke to CS representative who said she would email her supervisor advising them of my situation and expect a call back today 1/21/17. The clerk said they are moving people at the Hyatt. I know for a fact that Breathless is moving their guest to Secrets and accommodating guest with a week voucher to come back to stay at Breathless. I don't want to be far from my party and want to stay at Secrets with them. Day two, I still haven't received a call from BookIt.com regarding my situation. I'm very disappointed in BookIt.com and Breathless. The reason why we are all going is because of me/Birthday, and I have not a hotel to stay in near them family/friends. I will continue to try to stay positive and hope for the best outcome.

I will never book a vacation with you again. Has been almost a week since I booked and everything has been screwed up. I did online spent all day doing and both times told me there was no flights after I booked hotel. Spent 1 plus hours trying to explain to a rep only to find out nothing was done correctly. I have three charges totally over 6000.00 on my credit card. I have called three times to ask to speak to a manager. I need someone to call me.

Initially I was excited to book an all inclusive hotel and flight package and I got a good deal. To my surprise only my flight had been confirmed, but not my hotel. After calling and holding for 10+ minutes a nice woman was able to book my hotel, but she explained the package deal and discounts was not available anymore because it is a live site. I went ahead and booked anyway. As I'm making my airport transportation arrangements I find out the hotel is almost 4 hours away from the airport when there's another airport 20 minutes away. I called to modify my flight again. After waiting I get hung up on.
I decide to modify myself online. I had to change the hotel because there are no flights available on my travel dates. I find another hotel, but I had to pay another $300 to book plus pay the cancellation fees. What was supposed to be an easy affordable trip ended up a messy upcharge that put me over my budget. Will not use BookIt again. If you do use it make sure airports/hotels match.

My representative, Christina, was 100% excellent! She was patient, helpful, and so accommodating! Christina was also very personable and enjoyable to talk to while we waited for the computer system's results. She went above and beyond to make sure we booked the best and most affordable flights that worked with our all-inclusive hotel in Playa Del Carmen. Sadly will not be using Bookit.com ever again. Not a good experience and will not recommend. Communication was poor and the fees I paid for something that wasn't even my fault was ridiculous. Everyone has their own experience. Mine was just not good.

I booked a trip on Jan 18, 2017. After I hung up I saw that I didn't get the 200 discount that was a promotion. I have been trying to call nonstop, left messages many times. No one has responded to my messages. This is very unprofessional.

Not helpful with anything and a little unhappy to speak with me. I paid a lot of money and the customer service was awful. I called 3 times and each time is was a bad experience. They rush you off the phone and before they hear why you're calling they tell you they can't help.

I messed up my reservation by not clicking the "make payments" option on the website. I called the bookit phone number and Traci ** was able to waive most of the cancellation fee (I understand not being able to waive it all), and re-book me with the same rooms, put in my discount code and set me up for payments that we can afford. Excellent customer service. Really saved us.

Easy to use website. I relied on other people reviews of resorts in order to select what resort we booked with. We haven't taken the trip yet so I can't say how nice the resort is yet. I have used BookIt before and they were good to deal with injuries at which they were much More kind on the cancellation policy when you call within an hour to fix corrections and my charged so much for the cancellation even though in rebooked the next day without error on my part.

I love using Bookit.com. Every trip that I have taken in the past five years I have used Bookit.com. In my most recent experience I had to do a little research. I suggest that when you book know if there are multiple airports. My initial search only gave me the option for one airport which would be 40+ miles from the hotel. I took my time and directly searched the city that the other airport was in and saved $600 bucks, this includes the shuttle which was $262 per person.
When I saw the shuttle price that's when I looked at the airport and realized that there was a closer airport. The shuttle service helped me with a little insight to the airport options. One shuttle price going to my hotel was $62 and the other was $262. I used my head and directly searched my vacation from that location. Like I said I love bookit.com and will continue to use them to book my annual wedding anniversary trip. Now I just know to check all airport options when I'm booking and not just clicking more flight options.

I was a little leery at first to book online on a website like Bookit.com but I am glad I did. Everything was exactly as they described, the payment delay was awesome and easy to understand. The hotel was exactly as described and I felt like I got exactly what I paid for. I have used Bookit.com again because it went so smoothly the first time and I have recommended it to friends that want to travel but can't afford to pay all at one time!

I was happy with the all-inclusive deal I was buying... travel to Cancun on the 17th and back to Boston on the 22nd. See attached screenshot. But in my order confirmation, they switched the 2nd leg out of Houston to the next day giving me an unexpected overnight. And then when I went back to try to get the flight I had originally the charge was listed more than $500 MORE than what I paid the day before. It looks like intentional systemic trickery in their process to get sales without concern about the damage to customers or their plans/schedules. When I called, the response was that I could cancel the flight (with charge left on my card for 7 days) and book a new one at more than double what I was told it would cost the day before... before the bait and switch online sale.

I want to start off by saying that I have used BookIt for several of my trips now; Aruba, Florida and Cancun. I am an easy going person and pleasant person and not entirely too picky. I want to get the services and accommodations I paid for. With that said, I will give an overview of my trip and experience with pros and cons. Firstly, my first interaction with BookIt or Coming2 the BookIt Representative at the Dominican Republic was off to an awful start. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be picked up at the airport. I am pretty sure that whoever is supposed to pick us up has that information. Being fair, I know that there can be traffic and other inconveniences that may cause a delay.
Moving on, on our way to the hotel we get a flat tire. Granted not the driver's fault that we got a flat tire but how he handled it was not reasonable for the situation. A trip that was supposed to be a 1 1/2 to 2 hours turned into a 4 1/2 hour trip to the Hotel. I was finally glad we were at the Hotel. Check-in was pretty smooth. By the time we got there, it was too late for us to make the reservation for a la carte restaurants so we would have to wait for the next morning to make reservations. What came the following day was an unpleasant and awful experience that I do not wish to happen to anyone on vacation.
We met with the Coming2 representative Andia ** at 10:00 a.m. the following day. She imprudently called at 7:00 a.m. in the morning to tell us that we must meet her at 9:00 a.m. This is our first day on vacation - honestly we did not want to be bothered so early. She said it was mandatory otherwise, we wouldn't be able to get our ride back to the airport and that if we needed to make reservations for the a la carte restaurants we needed to make them through her. So when we finally meet, Andia **, she is nice at first and then she starts telling us about excursions and this and that. We kindly declined and told her we were not interested in doing any excursions. We just wanted to relax and stay at the hotel. It went downhill from there; she was pushy, persistent and forceful. We get it that she needs to sell but her failure to understand that after the second time of saying no, the answer is no. She was now wasting her time and my time.
We wanted to go to the beach and relax but she kept insisting and insisting that we would waste our vacation if we didn't try any of the excursions. She resorted to unprofessional and unethical tactics as using personal attacks on me for not wanting to buy the damn excursions. After this meeting of an 1 1/2, we finally get to confirm our trip back to the airport - which she wrote the time at 10:20 a.m. and signed for 11/28/2016. Then she tells us that she cannot make the reservations for us that we have to go to reception and make them there. This whole back and forth and runaround the mill was a common theme among the staff at Be-Live Canoa.
We then proceed to go to Guest Services to make reservations for dinner. We are told that are restaurants are booked for the next five days and we cannot eat at any of the restaurants except for one. We were rudely shut down without given much of an explanation why this was so. We later came to find out that Coming2 and guest services are in cahoots and if you do not buy their stupid extra excursions they let reception know and they denied you of reservations at the a la carte restaurants because according to them they were full when in fact they were empty, which was confirmed to us by actually passing by and checking to see if they were full and by other guests staying there as well.
Reception would only make reservations for those people who bought their extra services from the Coming2 and other sale representative. When we bought the All-Inclusive we expected to be able to dine and enjoy the food at these restaurants and not at the will of the representatives. Thirdly, after being disappointed with the whole restaurant ordeal we decide to go by the pool and relax. You are given two towel cards which means you get a new towel every day. When we go to claim our towel at the Towel Center we are told that there are no more towels. That they ran out. Furthermore, you can't return the towels when you want to. It has to be done after 6:00 p.m. The whole system is inconvenient to their guest but they only care about the VIP members which is the next point I will discuss.
The hotel is swarming with these sales people that are constantly trying to sell you timeshares and VIP packages. There is a substantial part of the Hotel and their facilities that are for VIP members only. I cannot tell you how incredibly annoying this was. You can't be here, you can't do this or that because that is only for the VIP members. Furthermore, when you are trying to relax either at the beach or at the pool, you'll get bombarded by various individuals trying to sell you crap. One after another consistently. I have not experience such an annoying and disturbing practice.
When it was finally time to leave, we had already confirmed with Andia ** that we were supposed to be at the lobby by 10:20 a.m. to be picked up and dropped off at the airport. Our driver shows ups an hour and 15 minutes than the scheduled pick up time. I call her to ask for an update and she's like "No I told you it was at 11:45." Mind you our flight was scheduled for 2:15 p.m. This was just so stressful as we afraid of traffic and missing our flight. I felt so helpless because what do I get out of arguing with this woman on the phone? She wrote it down herself at 10:20 a.m. I was just beyond furious. The BookIt/Coming2 made us feel like we already got your money. You can complain and do all you want but we don't care. And that's how my trip ended which was very stressful. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this resort.

Very professional young lady, very patient, full of detail, took her time to make sure I understood everything that I was do. He explained about the car rental. She asked about travel insurance. Overall great experience and I recommend.

I always check BookIt for any trip we want to take. Always excellent prices. Great ways to pay for your trip. Check here first before going anywhere else. We had an issue with our flight and they helped us right away. We got straight flights instead for same price.

Upon returning from a trip I had to file a claim with their insurance company and BookIt wanted to charge me $25.00 for a Itemized Itinerary of my trip. In other words to find out how much they charged me for Air transportation, Hotel Room, Ground Transportation. These people really know how to sour a new relationship with a client. I will never used them again because of their policies. Let all consumers know of this practice before booking.

Red Roof Inn Athens Tn. - Motel was not clean. We got there at 10:00 PM room was not ready. Roaches in room. You should really consider taking this hotel off of your site. The other hotels we've booked through you have been very good. This was the worst hotel and most expensive one we stayed in on our vacation.

Once I understood why the rates were different when I put in 2 adults as opposed to with one kid who was free, the rest was easy. The missing link was the fact that 2 adults can stay in an adult only room! The rep at first sounded a little lost or disconnected but eventually came through with a plausible answer. The online process was smooth sailing after that. It even allowed me to use a coupon from yesterday to save 10% as opposed to smaller discounts advertised for today. That was pretty cool. Guess it paid off that I remembered the code. Looking forward to the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana. Seems Booking.com is the only way to get a basic suite or anything less than a villa.

I am upset that the representative I spoke with could not reassure me for a wheelchair. Ive requested 6 months in advance. I need to know I should cancel my reservation. I need reassurance and Im very upset on how it was handled. I even called the front desk long distance for me and I was not happy with the service. So please may I get confirmation. I book 3 trips a year online. (Cheapcaribbean.com) I liked your website because price + your site lets you pick your flights first, so you see the total cost of the package (hotel & flights you like) you are looking at. Most sites you pick them too & from airports and hotel, but when you go to buy, flights are 2 stops and/or overnight. Better flights are more money. It makes it harder to compare packages + it's time consuming. Anyways I picked the airport and inclusiveness packages in that area, and checkout. Hotel ad said 6 miles from the airport, it was 44mi... After I bought the trip you flagged my trip to tell me the airport was far from my hotel. Thank you, but I needed to know that fact sooner. So I added a transfer to the trip for $130 extra.
My wife's only 2 request when I book is 30 min from the airport & balcony room. When I put in Punta Cana (PUJ) airport & Punta Cana resorts on your website that what I expect, not a resort in near a another airport. Without your website changing the airport we are flying in to. Your website seemed easy 1,2,3, so I booked. I guess I'll have to go back to my old ways, research & compare (exhausting), or just go back to the websites I feel are more truthful.

We booked a vacation with bookit.com to Mexico. I called a few days before the trip to make sure all was ready to go, got information as to how to print off the transportation vouchers. I was never informed that there was a problem with the reservation. We found out at 2 AM the morning that we were to leave that the reservation to the hotel has been cancelled, and we would forfeit all that had been paid up to that point.
We had a lost credit card that the charge was supposed to go on, but of course we had to cancel the card because of fraud. There was never an email letting us know that the charge did not go through. We were very displeased with our customer service while trying to upgrade our rooms. We were left on hold for as long as twenty minutes on more than one occasion, and to make matters worse, the Bookit.com website went down for three days, and once it was fixed the price had gone up. Bookit.com would not honor their advertised price while the website was broken. There is more, but I think you get the picture. Would not recommend them.

This is my first time using BookIt.com. And so far I am very pleased with the experience. I had a hiccup here and there but the agent on the phone walked me through it and told me how to go on the website and do it myself. I was a little disappointed it still cost me a change fee. But I got to change my reservation to the new rate without a hassle which was great. So for that kudos. I am still recommending this website to my friends because it is a large group of us planning on traveling together. As long as I am satisfied I will scream their good name to the rooftops.

We booked a vacation package and there were errors. We called around 10:30 am cancelled and rescheduled with corrections. We asked for confirmation...5 hours passed and still no confirmation of purchase or details. My wife called and spoke with Jaime in the afternoon around 3:30 pm and because we felt uncomfortable now with the whole process she asked to cancel the whole package. Jamie kept asking were we sure we wanted to cancel and stated that a confirmation email was sent to us...well no there was no email. My wife waited on hold for long while...Jaime came back and said something was wrong with their server and the email was delayed he sent it out.
Yes we received the email at 3:56 pm...but by this time she ABSOLUTELY wanted to cancel the trip. She requested the cancellation. She was asked by this young man AGAIN was she sure. YES we were sure. He then informs us that a charge of 25.00 per person will be attached to the cancellation. The errors that were made were NOT our fault. Therefore we should not be penalized for their error. Also this all took place from within a 6 hour window. We should have the option to cancel without penalty!!! I have emailed all concerned parties and have asked for a refund back of the 50.00. This was not a good experience.

When I booked the vacation it did not go through stating an error had been received. I called customer service and they told me it was a security issue and it would populate shortly which it never did. After 4 consecutive calls to customer service to find out what the issue was they finally had to manually book my vacation for me as the online system never worked (but they wouldn't admit to that). I also was supposed to get $300 off with a coupon which never happened. They make it seem so easy and cheap but at the end of the day unless you're willing to jump through hoops to ensure it done correctly it not worth your time. I checked other sites like Travelocity and Orbitz after the fact who had the same vacation at the same pricing. Make sure you check around before just booking the trip.

Our family went on a trip in Cancun after using BookIt.com... So excited since first time. We've upgraded to better room for our 2 kids. When we get to hotel, building and Room was not ready. No Phone works, No Lights, No Hot Water, Room was Smaller than BookIt.com described, construction noise, a lot of interior items missing, Water drain didn't work etc.. Changed Rooms to Rooms. Still So much problems. I took all pictures and sent it to BookIt.com (will not mention person's name) a Day after our arrival because we were already so stressed. BookIt.com response was "I apologize" and wanted to talk to me. I replied. Stated that I will call back once arrival on Monday since my phone carrier does not cover Mexico area. 2 day before arrival, I received an email from BookIt.com stating this case was CLOSED since I did not respond back. I emailed them back stating I will call upon arrival But no response after.
I arrived on Monday and called her. No answer So left message. I got a callback 2 days after and I complained about hotel. She said she did not receive emails or pictures. So I Forwarded emails on all, Never replied to me after. On conversation, BookIt.com asked me directly, "What do you want Out of This?" "Excuse me??? Treating me like scam who went through a lot in this hotel, And here it is These nonsense question asking me What Do I want out of this?" I yelled. Is this how I need to be treated by Customer Service? I was VERY offended and Mad. Yet, BookIt.com stated they did NOT know hotel was Incomplete! So Guest has to go through to find out this hotel was incomplete???

I posted 3 times and It is very ODD that No one writes Review about this Hotel When I know few of guest also used Bookit.com and they complained about this hotel. Anyone can see review about this Hotel and see horrible pictures and complaints, There are good things as well But My building and My Room was not complete and Front desk was horrible. I was booking for a group of friends when I noticed that the third set of resort tickets was hundreds of dollars less expensive than the first two sets. Somehow the system had not recognized my login and so the first reservations had not included all the discounts, but the third had. When I called customer support, I was told that I would have to cancel my first reservation and start over -- and that it would cost us $75 per set. (The Terms and Conditions said only $50). Eventually I called back and Tanya pointed out a better solution, but the whole experienced cost me 4 hours on my day off.

I have used BookIt in the past. This will definitely be the last time we use them. Last vacation they made a mistake with the billing cycle and drafted earlier than the set date and charged me for it. Now January 2, 2017 I was in the process of making a reservation, I changed my flight then proceeded to check out. After I put all my info in and submitted the payment I realized they changed the flight, when I called to rectify I could barely understand the rep who had a strong accent. They threatened to not give me a full refund when they couldn't get me the flight I selected earlier. Then after finally doing the cancellation with the refund they charged me $50. Your booking software came up with a pretty bad suggestion on flights. Our return flight was scheduled for 7:00 a.m. and the earliest we could possibly get to the airport, because of the ferry schedule, was about 6:55, which is cutting it a little closer than I would like. Your representative with whom I spoke rescheduled the flight to one that made sense and was very pleasant in doing so (despite my probably not being as courteous as I should have been in complaining about the originally scheduled flight). Also, your prices are the best I found. I would give your service a five-star rating, but also suggest that anyone booking lodging plus flight make sure that the flight times make sense.

So I will be 100% honest! This has been a disasters affair. I booked online @ 7 am EST. I filled in appropriate filters, specifying non-stop flight. I was given a layover for 11 hrs. I have called back to correct this 6 times today. I have now been told the system is down. This is time sensitive and as of 12 hrs later, cannot get this problem looked after. My family has used bookit.com for quite a while now to book our traveling needs. This last experience was absolutely awful. While trying to book a family getaway for 5 rooms, we ran into every obstacle it seems possible. What really upset me was that the representative kept telling me cards were denied, but yet my bank and their website said more than enough funds existed. We gave over 5 different cards until they claimed 1 would hold it. Two hours later we received a call telling me it was their error but that they couldn’t correct it so we would have to book air separately and lose the discount of several hundred dollars. The whole experience was a disaster! We should have booked elsewhere.

My neighbors just came back from a resort in Mexico that I'm going to on January 16. I had a terrible experience. I called BookIt and they were 100% helpful and changed my reservation to another hotel in a matter of minutes. That is customer service.

The booking process was fast and easy. It was especially nice to be able to see the resorts in the Playa Del Carmen area. Many of the other sites would only show Cancun area resorts and we wanted to stay near Playa.

The prices were great! However it is not easy to book a group of 5 rooms with the company. When you call, they can only book 3 at a time, charging you for each transaction. In order to book as a group, you have to have 9 rooms. The agent was not helpful and hard to understand. We ended up booking ourselves online. We still had to do 2 different transactions, which was a pain. The system kicked us out several times and I would have to re-enter all information. Next time I will use a travel agent!!

The only thing I have been unhappy with is that the flights were not up to date. Otherwise, it was pretty easy and nice customer service. I feel that they have fair prices. Our vacation is not until June so we will see how well everything goes once we get there!

I am happy with the vacation I booked. But the customer experience I found quite lacking. The website doesn't always correctly log requests and required me to start the process over many times. In addition, the tracking/ad software made it almost uselessly lagging and slow. I ended up booking the trip on my phone because the desktop site was unusable. The coupon codes you have listed for your year end sale do not work and there is no explanation why they wouldn't. According to the requirements posted I believe they should in my case.
After I finally was able to book my trip I received an error message requesting that I call your office before the booking could be confirmed. I was on hold for over two and a half hours. No one ever picked up the phone. This was during regular office hours. Eventually I was able to secure a response through a different phone number but it took numerous calls and meant dealing with many confused employees. Though not to blame, they were little help. As I say, I am currently happy with my booking and look forward to the trip. But it has been a needlessly frustrating time and I'm not sure I would use your site again.

December 17-18 flights from MCI - Cozumel Mexico cancelled due to weather. Bookit.com assured me no rate increase to change an original week beginning 12/18 to a week beginning 12/21. When confirming departure on 12/20 Bookit.com demanded (and I paid) an additional $812.00. Customer Service at Bookit.com said "the rates changed" - period. Bookit.com is not open weekends so the problem couldn't be addressed at the time. 12/17 Sat. - 12/18 Sun.

Tried booking Bookit's advertised special 2 days ago on line. Filled out everything including cr card info-got an error message to call them. Spoke to Jing, "Must be a web site problem-I'll report it to tech & call you back" She did not. Then spoke to Elizabeth-same thing. Meanwhile my cr card was charged for the full price. Called Bookit again & when they tried to book my trip cr card company issued a fraud alert & froze my card since they couldn't remove chrg w/o a booking # (Bookit never reserved the advertised hotel & messed up my credit card). After several hrs with the cr card co. finally got it straighten out. Did NOT get hotel I 1st wanted at their advertised price. Finally got help from Drew, who did do his best to help me. 2 days & over 7 hrs on the phone I did get a different property booked at higher price. Scam, bait & switch, overbooking? I don't know. Not a pleasant experience with Bookit.com!

I booked this trip to the Dominican for March break today. I booked through ebates but as soon as I logged into the BookIt membership Area I didn't get my 2.5% from ebates. I spoke with 2 representatives and both were very helpful and addressed my questions and concerns. In fact, one of them completed the booking of my trip when I couldn't get answers to my questions at the online site. The online site indicated that the airline flights I wanted were unavailable. The first lady who helped me add on my friend to my room at the resort was kind, gentle, wise, and efficient. She was phenomenal. Unfortunately, she transferred me to another department to finish my booking to get another ticket for a shuttle to/from the airport. She didn't transfer info, and the other person said, "This is the activities department." We both had no idea why I ended up there. I didn't know that was where I could get the additional shuttle ticket. The lady freaked me out and was a bit aggressive. I asked for a manager, and she said that there was no one else to speak to. I called back to figure out what was going on and received help, but that middle person was quite disruptive. It really upset the flow.

Rating is presently below average and here is why: I booked my vacation online with agent. After one hour and additional assistance the next day, I was able to book a flight and hotel reservations. In addition, since we got a direct flight, the representative did tell me transportation would be included. When I called back to confirm trip I asked about transportation, a representative I spoke with said, they would look into this even though no such arrangements were made.
This was about four weeks ago, today I mention no such follow up was made by second representative. No notice in my inbox email. I wanted to know about our transportation to and from airport. Third representative said, no proof of any such arrangement was made and no notations made on account about transportation. I said I would not be calling if transportation was not promised with the booking.
The first, second and now, the third representative did not provide or clearly spoke their name. This is the first time booking a vacation with Bookit and I can only say that after about eight weeks no resolution has been reached. Once again I wAs told by third representative to ask for activities dept. for anyone in particular? No he said just call the number again and ask for anyone In that department. My question is if I called twice already why was I not told this by representative who said they would follow up? I feel like I am getting a run around rather than straight answers to questions like what happened to our transportation, why has this not been resolved and who is in charge at bookit? Someone over there has to be held accountable for misrepresenting a service or delivering the service of transportation that was offered.

We booked our vacation in March, and got a really good deal. No other sites could compete with the price we got, others required a time share sit in and we just aren't interested in that. We were happy with the resort selection, as well as the choices for flights. There is something for everyone. We were satisfied right up until the day we were to leave. We woke up to a house with no heat at 1:30 am (it's COLD in the northeast!!). I called the BookIt hotline at 1:30 am because I knew we wouldn't be making the early morning flight. The message said to call back during regular business hours Monday-Friday 9am-3am and Saturday/Sunday 9am-1am. Well, I was calling at 1:30 am on Saturday morning, which I would assume are still FRIDAY hours. Nope.
I called American Airlines, they told me we would have to pay $200 per ticket, plus the difference in face value to change the flight but I couldn't change any of my tickets because of the way BookIt reserved them, everything has to go through BookIt. If you read the fine print BookIt charges you a fee for any changes made after initial booking. That's fine, but they were closed and I had an emergency. At 9am sharp we were on the phone with BookIt attempting to get help, we had already missed both flights out at that point and considered no shows at the airline. The first girl told us that the 'flight specialists' are off on the weekends, but she could email them to have it taken care of, and 'it wouldn't take long'. We waited a few hours and still did not hear back.
We called American Airlines again. That girl was able to add us to a flight the next day and reserve our original return flight again since we had been kicked out of the system due to the missed flight. American Airlines told us they couldn't finalize any of the changes without permission from BookIt, but had added us tentatively. We called BookIt again. "Sorry, the 'flight specialists' are out on weekends'." We must've called begging for help six times. They told us the specialists were out till Monday and we would possibly have to wait until then (we were to come home on Thursday, who wants to wait until Monday to get help and fly out on Tuesday only to return on Thursday?!).
We finally drove two hours one way to the airport so we could talk to the airline employees face to face. The lady there said we were good to go the next day and printed boarding passes. She said we lucked out, there were no fees involved. Out the door we went with boarding passes in hand, no thanks to BookIt, which by that time we still had not heard from and we were going on five hours since our original call. Lo and behold, within 20 minutes of leaving the airport BookIt is calling us. They had been notified of the change in tickets by the airline. Imagine that, we begged for help and they wouldn't help so we went around them.
When they called, this is what we got, "Surely there are charges involved, we need to verify that and get back with you." We told them we were told there were no charges, and would they please notify the resort that we would be a day late. They said they would email the resort. Keisha called me back and told me up front the call was being recorded for quality purposes. I saw that as my chance to interject my comments about the lack of help. She did verify no additional charges were made by the airline. What a nightmare.
Moral of the story - do not have an emergency on the weekend. The 'flight specialists' are off and no one else can help with flights. I seriously doubt we would've gotten help all weekend. The only reason they did call us is because they were notified by the airline we made the changes ourselves. I will point out we did not have travel insurance. We didn't want to reschedule our vacation, we just needed to delay it a day and we were willing to pay the airline fees if needed. We just couldn't get help from BookIt in a decent amount of time.

I do feel that if the booking agent had been a bit more knowledgeable I could have saved more money and I probably would have given a bigger sale to BookIt.com. Anyways Andrea was amazing. I booked a trip to the bahamas and found out a few days before my departure from a family member in the bahamas that the resort I was staying at was closed due to a storm. I received no email nor phone call from BookIt.com to notify me about this and I had to call them to confirm that information. They accommodated me for another resort however initially wanted me to cover a cost because the new resort was more expensive. After sternly expressing how inappropriate and unprofessional this entire situation was, they decided to cover the cost for me. I am not sure If I will be traveling through BookIt.com again because this was unacceptable and inconvenient.

This is the second time that I choose to book with BookIt. I had a great experience with them on our recent trip to Ocean Maya Royale, so I decided to use them again. It was so quick and easy to use, the prices were better than the competitors and my Shop at home also gave me a bonus, a win win in my book.

BookIt made it very easy from start to finish. Will use again next time I am planning a vacation. Prices were most competitive I found on the internet and through phone calls. I'll tell friends to use BookIt as well.
