    Booked resort and airline with this company. Aug 27, five hours before departure was notified that the flight was cancelled due to the arrival of Hurricane Harvey. Emailed BookIt to cancel the resort immediately. They responded with a email to confirm cancellation. They say they did not receive my cancellation so I emailed them a copy of their confirmation to them. They credited my credit card minus $560.00. I have tried to discuss this with them but the people in Jamaica are no help and will not let me talk to anyone in Florida where they are located. The cancellation terms show that I should pay a $60.00 penalty. We live 10 miles from downtown Houston. This adds insult to injury considering what we are dealing with the flood. Do not use these people. They have no heart.

    Unhappy. May not use BookIt again. Scheduled 3 inclusive 8 days to Cancun Mexico. When arrived for unseen events 1 of 3 could not enter country. When arrived of reservation was not even in the system. Had a really hard time calling internationally and took about 45 min to correct. Was very frustrating. Tried to get credit for 1 but got the runaround. The location is very pretty, great for couples, families and newlyweds. So so for nightlife. Our room view was amazing. Not sure if we were upgraded because of our ordeal. But it helped a little.

    I will never use Bookit again! I was double charged for a trip triggering my credit card company to deny certain charges. Contacting Bookit is a nightmare! Long waits to get to reps who have to further put you on hold to find out answers to questions asked. The last straw was being put on hold, again after asking Shanik(?) to stay on the line while I could confirm what SHE told me. So it is ok for me to be put on hold for hours yet when I ask that she wait while I confirm what SHE told I get transferred (might as well say hung up on since she did not want to provide customer service). Also, the itinerary that she asked me to review could not be accessed from the Bookit confirmation email (another issue I have). It showed the capability but would not allow me to do so. Shame on Bookit!!! Last time customer!

    I Received a callback. The girl said my airplane was booked but the room wasn't. Then she said she had to rerun everything and I said fine as long as price didn't change. I couldn't buy insurance and she gave me an amount. After running my card I asked if she had included the coupon code I had on my order. She said no. I said, "can you give me a refund for the coupon code." She said no. I asked for a supervisor. She balked but then transferred me. Supervisors gave me the 100 value of the coupon as a refund. I don't think it should have been that hard and customer service needs to be improved.

    My wife made a reservation for a resort a few days ago on BookIt and somewhere during the process missed adding the flights. She called the next day to fix this issue and instead ended up having our reservation canceled and re-booked several times by the person over the phone. After this mistake she just decided to cancel the whole reservation due to the stress and time wasted over the phone. There were multiple times where she waited 30 minutes to talk to one person. After the cancellation, we were charged 75 dollars. So my wife called and I emailed the company and requested a refund because we were in the 24 hour time window. They denied the refund to my wife over the phone and never even bothered to reply to my email. I'm so upset with this company now. I will not use them ever again, and I tell everyone I know not to use this website. God forbid you mess up one part of your itinerary and have to call them.

    I booked a reservation for Jamaica but once I pressed "Book It", I received an error ID number string the flight has been booked but there's an issue with the reservation and to call them. So I did and was told my flight was no longer available. This became frustrating because I got a pending charge from the airlines portion of the rate, blocking available funds to book another trip. The lady told me that once I make another reservation, to call back and they will waive the additional charge of the flight changes for the trouble. I even clarified that with her before I ended the call to make sure we were on the same page.

    I started another booking and called them about it and was told they cannot waive the extra charge. This frustrated me and ask why I was lied to and they said they don't know. They would have to look into the phone call recording to see what was said (I requested they review the call which they are and should hear back within 10 business days). Then I was offered $**off my next trip for the inconvenience but is pointless since they always have a minimum of $** off promos for which you can only use one promo at a time. On the end, I didn't receive any help or consideration for the mishap and had to pay about $** more than when I first tried to make the reservation.

    Beware is a scam! BookIt.com advertise Holiday Inn Aruba as all inclusive hotel but when you get there, Holiday Inn tells you that they are not all inclusive hotel. That you have to pay an additional fee per night per person to have the meal and drinks. We were told by the hotel personnel that BookIt does it to everyone. I called BookIt.com after being on hold for 50 minutes in a long distance call I was told by (Susanna) BookIt that they couldn't help me, that the hotel wasn't all inclusive.     When I was booking my trip, the total amount stated was $2,630.87. I then applied a $15 coupon which the total price upon my booking became $2,615.87. After I paid, the total amount charged is $2,632.87 (including the $2 PayDelay fee). I called customer service 2x about this. The first time, I was placed on hold then got disconnected. I called the 2nd time and waited for a long time before a person answered then was placed on hold again. The lady then informed me that the coupon was already applied because the total was $2,647.87 which was not the total stated during my checkout. I explained to the lady that that's not what was stated while I was booking it and I should've been credited the $15. The customer service lady just hung up on me instead of trying to assist me with this matter. Very poor customer service.

    I have to say I have never written a review before and usually very easy to please. I planned a vacation a year ago this November and unfortunately had an accident 4 days before leaving for vacation. I broke my knee saving a child from drowning in the lake. I called BookIt to see what my options were because I was told by orthopedic I could not continue with vacation plans and that I would be immobile for 10 weeks. I received 3 different answers from 3 different representatives. I was given till midnight the following day to make decisions otherwise we would pay more in cancellation fees.

    Your customer service really needs help with not only providing accurate information but to show a little compassion as well. I was told that the only way fees are waived is if I was dead. I realize there are reasons for cancellation fees but I do feel there should be a clause if for medical reasons and the proper documentations from a medical doctor. I did give a call to American airlines a call and told them my story and without any hesitation, they have offered me $400 dollars back in fees after our vacation is done. I was so beyond grateful and in the future plan on using this airlines for future travel. I will however try to avoid BookIt. I have to say when booking our package, you were awesome. As soon as you have to change your booking, not so awesome.

    I had previously booked a vacation package for the first time with BookIt.com. I was paying for it monthly. I had a baby that was sick and didn't feel comfortable leaving him with anyone and cancelled my vacation. I received the money back for my hotel portion and was informed that I would have the flight portion held as a credit for future travel to be used within a year. Now I am ready to go on vacation so I called BookIt since the year is about to be up. I was put on hold for 45 minutes, transferred to the wrong department and put on hold again for another 30 minutes. When I finally spoke to the representative Taina she informed me that the cheapest flight she could find was for $589 but I was looking at their website for flights totaling $284. I would have to come out of pocket for the flight almost double the amount that I could get a new reservation for.

    I asked if there was anything she could do and if there was anyone I could speak to because I felt like I was getting robbed and she hung up on me. I had spoken so good of BookIt.com before not knowing that they would do this to me. I am sure I am only 1 customer and my opinion doesn't matter but I will put this review up on every social media site that I am part of hoping to discourage more people for using them.

    My experience with BookIt was a bit lukewarm unfortunately. Although I got a good price for my trip, I have to say they dropped the ball on the timing on this one. I scheduled the trip to PR for 8-30-17 to 9-3-17. Online it indicated that check out was for that Sunday so I booked it. Once I received the email to confirm the trip, I noticed that check out was Saturday at 12pm. My flight does not leave until Sunday at 3am so I am without a place to stay for approximately 14 hours. I called and informed them and their response was that I would have to pay for that extra day. Really? It's not like I'll be staying the whole entire day.     I waited a total of 90+ mins to speak with someone about the details of making a changes to my reservation and/or canceling. My call was disconnected and I had to wait back in queue. I called the line for making a reservation and they were able to pick up the line less than 2 mins. This is concerning and not very good follow up support. This is the 1st time I have booked any type of international vacation plan and 1st time using Bookit.com. Not a very pleasant 1st time experience. Just make sure you are 100% certain of where you'd like to stay. I originally booked an all-inclusive resort, but immediately after booking I read reviews and wasn't impressed. My 2nd option resort was about $50 cheaper at the time of booking and the same price during next day when I wanted to make a change. However, due to the refund processing delay (7-10 business days) I just made an update to the reservation.

    If I would have canceled my reservation all together including cancellation fees, the other resort would still have been a few bucks cheaper if I re-booked everything. Instead my trip to the cheaper resort has ended $100 more expensive than my original decision. This industry is not really customer satisfaction oriented, or maybe this was not a good site to work with for booking. Either way I hope the trip will be better than my initial experience while booking.

    I booked 5 nights all-inclusive hotel at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at a price of $85 per night per adult. I booked for two adults at a rate of $190 per night. When I looked into the receipt in detail, it charged $342.49 for taxes and service fees. If the taxes and fees are the same for all clients, then I would not complain. However, when I go back to the website the next day, I did the same booking but with a higher rate of $119 per night per adult (The deal of $85 per night was expired yesterday). The point is about the taxes and fees, which was much much lower at $47.47 (the difference is $300 for the same hotel, same room and same service). So I called in to bookit.com representative. They gave me the following explanation: due to the nightly rate is lower, they charge higher taxes and fees. And the fees are not decided by bookit.com, it's decided by the hotel.

    It totally doesn't make sense to me, they are frauds. They make a deal for clients at a lower price to make it look good, then they charge back the cost from tax recovery and service fees. At the end the price is the same with deal or not deal. I find that totally unacceptable. Plus they blame the hotel for the fees. The fees are established by the third party as commission but not by the hotel.

I don't feel it was a coincidence that our cards were used, I feel it was the woman I spoke with that sold the cards for use of fraud! Sorry to say but I do not trust BookIt any longer and will never use them again and have reported this incident to the BBB!!     I booked a trip with Bookit.com and when I booked it said all taxes and fees were included. When I tried to get my airline seats assigned there were no two seats together for my minor child and me to choose. The only seats to get were at a charge of $19 to $75 per flight and we had 4 flights! Then when we checked into the hotel we were charged a resort fee per day. When we returned home I called Bookit.com and was put on hold for more than 20 minutes and received rude customer service. Very disappointed with Bookit.com, as I have used other online travel sites and never had these problems!

    Wish I could've given them zero stars. BookIt was recommended to me by a friend. I bought a 7day round trip to a Punta Cana all inclusive resort for my wife and I. I felt I received a good deal so I called my sister and cousin, who would eventually buy as well. 3 couples in total. My cousin on the same day, my sister a day or 2 later. In total, I just gave BookIt close to $8,000 in business. Actually my sister got the same exact deal for $250 less than my cousin and I did. All she had to do was join their mailing list to get the discount.

    We arrive to Punta Cana and my cousin and I are told we do not have transfers for the ride to the hotel from the airport and from the hotel to the airport. Somehow my sister was covered. We had to pay cash on the spot to get to the hotel. Once at the hotel, after check-in, I call BookIt, speak with Ornella and explain to her what had just occurred. She stated unfortunately there's nothing she can do for us because we didn't pay for the transfers. I told her we did check the box on the site for the transfers. She said we didn't, but she would be more than happy to charge us a fee for transfers to and from the hotel even though we already paid cash one way.

    I explained to her that I was hoping BookIt would just pay for the one way back to the airport as something must've went wrong when I and my cousin booked these vacations. I further explained to her this was not the first time we've traveled to the Dominican Republic and have ALWAYS gotten transfers. She would not budge. We ended up paying for another cab back to the airport. BookIt has lost my business, (and references), for any future vacations my family and I take. It's not the point of the $130 we spent on cab service to and from the airport, but it's the principle. They traded away thousands of dollars worth of future business for their poor customer service and their Stubbornness.

    Where do I start? I called Bookit.com to change my itinerary due to death in the family 3 day prior of my trip. It cost me $441.00 to change the trip by 1 day.

    After waiting on hold for 15 I decide to log on to bookit.com to check my itinerary. Come to find out that the agent who was helping had booked flight from Boston to Punta Cana, my flight was from Norfolk to Punta Cana. When she comes back I told the flight she booked was incorrect. She said that was the original reservation. I told no she need to go back to my booking so she checked and there it was black and white. My point here is I had not checked while I had her on the phone I would had lost my money and repay once again. Then I was told I would have lose a day of the hotel but that I would not have a problem checking in 1 day later when and my transportation was modified. When I got to airport I had to repay the transportation company because I was not found.

    I showed my paperwork showing that it was paid for. They did not care. I had to repay them so that they would take me to the hotel. When I arrive at the hotel they dumped me to a sister property telling me that they were overbooked. I would have to stay at the other property for one night. When I arrived to the other property it was so much better than the original hotel. I arranged to stay at Secrets Resorts for my entire stay. I enjoyed myself at Secret Resorts. At the time to book my transportation again not found I had to repay 35.00 dollars more to get to the airport.

    When booking to playa del Carmen system will give you Cozumel airport as one of airports of choice and offers ground transportation to resort without any explanation that you will need to take a ferry and is not included with ground transportation to the resort and need to travel for 45min on the ferry. Bookit in my opinion needs to have an air message that will explain that the resort in playa del carmen is not in the closest vicinity, so when a customer that has no clue where Cozumel is does not book a resort in Cancun. On another note bookit personnel is not willing to help and will blame everything on the customer even if they are not experienced or savvy in regards to airport and distances between airport and resort. Bookit has no customer service, it may be an ok company but needs to have some respect and understanding to become a good company but needs great customer service to be a Great company.

    I booked a trip via BookIt.com for a family of 4 to Aruba and specifically asked the agent for an OCEAN VIEW room. When I looked at my itinerary, THE AGENT booked a GARDEN VIEW room. When I called BookIt and spoke with another agent and a manager, an investigation was done and they told me it was clearly their agent's mistake, however, there was nothing that they can do to accommodate me.     On arrival my transportation pick up was not at the airport since my flight was delayed, which had me upset and scared seeing as though I had paid for this service ahead of time to avoid being stranded in a foreign country. Had to find another transportation service. The front desk at the hotel said to get a receipt too from the cab driver and provide it to Bookit. When checking out of the hotel, the front desk told us that the transportation service was there that the driver had left an hour before our check out time. When I called Bookit, Bookit had to contacted the vendor to provide a refund. Bookit contacted me and told me that we were a no show that the refund would not be provided. The Bookit representative told me that I should have arranged the times with the transportation company.

    And if I want a refund to contact the transportation company. How was I to know that my flight would be delayed, and what exactly was I paying for? I didn't have to arrange flight times with the airport or check in dates with the hotel, why did I have to arrange transportation times. Of course the transportation company is going to say we were a no show to pocket the money. I double paid for transportation. Service was not worth it.

    On our recent vacation (July 14-20) we went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. There were 9 family members in total that we went with, 6 adults and 3 children. In the following summary “we” generally refers to me and my wife who as the primary English speakers were handling most of the travel arrangements.

    Our trip was booked through the online travel agency BookIt.com. The flight to Punta Cana and the vacation was enjoyable but our trouble started when we got to the airport in Punta Cana on our way home on July 20th. We left the hotel at 11:30 to give us plenty of time for our 2:45 flight. At the American Airlines counter we were told that the first leg of our flight (AA1966 to Charlotte) was okay but that the second leg of the flight (AA2079 from Charlotte to Austin) did not exist!!! Let me repeat. The flight doesn’t even exist anymore. The flight number lives on but it’s for a Philly to Atlanta flight now.

    Our trip was booked in late January with BookIt.com and both BookIt.com and AA both neglected to notify us of the change. Anthony at AA in Punta Cana was extremely polite, sympathetic, and professional in helping us change the flights to get back to Austin. There were no more available flights to Austin out of Charlotte that day or the next so he abandoned the original first leg of the trip. The best Anthony could do was to fly us to Miami that day at 3:37 and then to Austin the next day at 6:57AM. He also offered to fly us to Philly and then to Austin. But Philly is a much longer flight and we have friends and family in Miami anyway so we opted to fly through Miami and spend the night there.

    We had an extra hour at the Punta Cana airport so my wife call BookIt.com to explain the situation and see why it happened. Why did they not contact us? AA said it’s the travel agents responsibility to notify the passengers about changes to the schedule. She also wanted to see if we could be compensated for the 2 hotel rooms we would need overnight in Miami. In my opinion it is the least they could do (AA was unwilling to do it). She was passed from person to person and put on hold several times over the course of about an hour and a half. At this point we had to board the plane. She got nowhere with them in that time frame. I told her not to call back when we got to Miami and that we would handle it later.

    We arrived at Miami and got two rooms at the Courtyard by Marriot at the airport (MIA). Then had a late dinner with friends and family at Havana 1957 (excellent Cuba food). The next morning we took the hotel shuttle at 5:35AM to the airport for our 6:57AM flight to Austin. We arrived at the airport about 5 to 10 minutes before 6:00AM. This gave us a little more than an hour to check-in our 3 suitcases and get to the gate. It was early and not very busy so the timing seemed reasonable based on previous trips. The previous day in Punta Cana we paid $88.12 ($75 plus 18% tax) to check our 3 suitcases. When asked if we had to pay again when leaving Miami, Anthony told us we would not have to pay because it was technically one trip with a connecting flight even though it was overnight.

    So at Miami International we are at curbside check-in and the guy cannot check our bags without us paying again. We explain the situation and he tells us to go inside and talk with a supervisor. We go in and walk past the line to the counter to ask and they told us to get in line. We got in line and there was probably 20 people in line ahead of us. A few minutes later another AA rep pulls us from the back of the line along with 3 other people and leads us to a shorter line. The walk to the shorter line was about a 10 minute walk. By this time it was probably 6:10AM. We waited another 7 to 10 minutes in that line before getting to the counter.

    When we got to the counter we explained our situation and our baggage fee that was supposed to be waived. It seemed to make sense to the AA rep Carlos. Then he looked up our flight and told us quite rudely that we had missed our flight and it was too late to check the suitcases. I asked him if we could put the suitcases on a later flight to Austin so that we could hurry to the gate and make our flight. He said that the bags must go with us. Now I am not sure if this is an AA rule or a Federal regulation. I’ve read differing view and experiences online.

    AA Carlos did not offer any alternative or attempt to help us in any way. He said we missed our flight. That’s it. We protested and he went to get his supervisor. He came back without the supervisor and said she was in a meeting. Ten minutes later he walked us over to the supervisor. By this time it was about 6:40AM and I knew we had really missed the flight to Austin. It’s basically our view at this point that we missed the flight because of AA’s extremely slow, rude, unhelpful, disrespectful, and unprofessional staff at MIA.

    When we got to the AA supervisor named Caridad she said had the same unhelpful approach as Carlos and was somewhat accusatory saying it was our fault we missed the flight. We protested, I mean we completely lost it, voices were raised very loud and tears were shed. My wife was upset far more than I had ever seen before and our youngest son (7 years old) was crying because he did not understand what was happening.

    To make matter worse the accusatory remarks from Caridad continued. She said that because WE missed the flight we had to fly standby, pay an additional $75 per person, and hopefully get home today. That’s when I completely lost it too. I told her to ** or something like that and I walked away for a few minutes and let my wife deal with her. Imagine 9 people in a group on standby. I’ve flown enough to know most flights are pretty close to full and accommodating 9 standby passengers on the same flight would probably be impossible. And adding insult to injury, saying it was our fault. We were late after our fairly solid argument on the timing and wanting to charge us $75 per person extra ($675 total).

    I manage to cool down and was asked by AA supervisor Caridad to come to the counter. They had manage to find us a flight to Austin through Charlotte that day. They said they were doing it for the kids!!!! That pissed me off even more. But considering the alternatives going through my head of abandoning AA altogether and finding another airline to accommodate 9 people or driving to Austin, I bit my tongue and agreed to the new flights. They should have tried to accommodate us from the beginning because they are in the business of flying people around the world. Instead we were greeted with, “Nope, it’s your fault, pay up!”

    So it took a while to get the 9 tickets ready for Miami to Charlotte and Charlotte to Austin. I was at the counter a long time waiting. My wife came over to check on what was going on and started explaining the story of how we got to this point and the other ticket agent (I did not get her name, I’ll call her AA-no-name) said to my wife, “If you don’t like this ** why don’t you leave.” AA supervisor Caridad was not around to hear that by the way. This woman, AA-no-name was actually trying to escalate the situation after everything had been resolved.

    My wife did not approach the counter to fight or yell again. She was cooled off and was relaying the complete story and really wanted to make sure we were not being charged the $75 per person (we were not). I had to walk my wife away from the counter. I didn’t know what else to do. It crossed my mind again to go find a Delta, Southwest, or United flight or to drive home. But weighing the cost of either dollars or days I stuck with it, bit my tongue once again and got the tickets home.

    They know they have you over a barrel and they have the upper hand. It’s an emasculating position to be in. Being in charge of the travel for 9 people including my 2 young sons I had to get the tickets and take the abuse from these AA **! All of this trouble would have been avoid had the inept people at AA and BookIt.com notified us of the flight change. And then the following Miami problems all because we were trying not to be charged for our baggage a second time.

    I will never fly AA again. The Miami AA employees need to be monitored and purged. AA-no-name needs to be fired. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. AA Anthony in Punta Cana was the most helpful and the AA people in Miami could learn a lot from him. BookIt.com reminds me of the company in the movie Boiler Room when Seth tries to turn in a sell ticket to his boss and he quickly discovers the whole business is a scam to rip people off. BookIt.com won’t be around in 10 years, they are that bad.

    Using their website is fairly straightforward and similar to their competitor. The company's phone support is horrible. I had an issue with the airline ticket having a mistake on my wife's name. This was noticed within 12 hours of booking the trip and the company said they couldn't help me until after 24 hours when a change fee could be assessed. My only option was to cancel the trip and pay more money than the change fee! H O R R I B L E customer service. Avoid at all costs and review their competitor. The airline said this was a routine change for the booking agency (BOOKIT.COM) which makes this extremely frustrating. Their prices were the same as the competitor, so this is on me.     Overall the booking was easy, it was a good experience except of if you're flying out and staying at a hotel it would be good that you all would schedule the flight within the hotel check in timeframe so that you can check in when you arrive. I will arrive in Las Vegas at 12:15 a.m. Now I have to wait all the way until 3 p.m. just to check in. So I paid for two nights and can only stay one night.     I booked a room and when I got to the location I was told it was sold out. When I called back they booked me at another location but when I arrived at the new locations I was told that they too had been sold out for that day. When the agent behind the counter checked it was book for the next day and that it’s normal for Bookit to do this.
