    I booked a trip with their own coupon code - it not only changed the dates but it did not give me the discount. I called and was told I must've not put in the coupon code and the dates wrong, which is not correct. So I had the insurance and cancelled. BookIt charged me a $50 cancellation fee to a credit card with numbers ** and then charged me another $35 saying the $50 didn't go through. I called, held for 49 minutes and was told basically too bad. Horrible customer service. Too many fees. Shady practices - I absolutely put in my coupon code and the correct dates. Now this cancelled trip will cost me $487 in fees.

    Received coupon for Cyber Monday in an e-mail at 7:55pm on Nov. 26th allowing me to use early. Booked my vacation after 8:00pm and used CM300 for my discount and unfortunately the coupon did not work which I did not see until I received confirmation. Called Book-it immediately and was basically on hold for 2 hours (hung up at 10:30PM). Called them first thing in the morning and was told the coupon was not valid and then I let them know about the email I received. After I put that lie to bed they said they could not apply coupon because it's a non-refundable room. They put me on hold to call hotel to see if they would allow me to cancel and or re-book. They stated the hotel said no after being on hold for 30 minutes.

    I personally called hotel and I was told they have nothing to do with this and it is at the discretion of Book-it. I have family and friends that use Book-it and after this horrible experience I'm done. I have contacted BBB and I suggest anyone who wants to use Book-it, DON'T!!!! I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOOKED THIS VACATION WITHOUT THE $300 COUPON!!!

    Buyer’s beware on all-inclusive hotel bookings trying to use the Cyber Monday CM200 coupon. There are other excluded hotels on the BookIt website not listed on the coupon. When I called, they refused to honor the $200 coupon after I booked the hotel, then offered me a $100 courtesy refund. Put me on hold, and 5 min later that was changed to a $100 credit on a future booking. Needless to say, this frequent traveler will be dealing with more stand-up vendors in the future that will honor their coupons...and definitely NOT BookIt.

    So I booked what I thought was a decent vacation deal through Bookit.com. A few days later the price goes down $800 on their own site! They charged me $75 to cancel and re-book at the lower price and tried to charge me another $25 because I called them. So I pay the $75 to save $800 of course. Now today I look again and the price is another $100 lower! This seems crazy to me, how hard is it to just honor your own pricing? Not sure I will book with them again...

    I booked a room at Sunset Plaza in Puerto Vallera for today for my daughter Mary Angela **. I could not get it thru as it said I already had a booking here. When I answered that I wanted to make the booking anyway, it finally made it. However you booked 2rooms and no one answered your phone to straighten it out even the hotel tried. No answer.     When online, the price kept changing, so I called to book. Although the customer service person was pleasant, she got the dates wrong, and had I not asked her to double check, we would have the wrong flights. She was very apologetic, but it was still unnerving. Also, she kept repeating back to me wrong birth dates and names of our party. All ended up fine, but it was again unnerving. Finally, I checked the website the next day, and there was a 10 percent promotion. This was less than 24 hours after we had booked. I was rudely told that I'd have to cancel the entire reservation and rebook everything, and that I'd be charged $150 for doing so. I feel like once they have your money, they don't treat you well.

    We have booked with BookIt quite a few time and never had any problems until this trip. We pre-paid $153.44 for a return trip from the airport to our hotel. We arrived in Panama at 2:00 pm on Sunday Oct. 8/17 and we went to the desk to get the taxi, no one was at it, we tried calling the hotel but they knew nothing because it was not one of their services. So we waited around the airport until 4:00 pm to see if anyone would turn up and no one did, so we ended up paying for another taxi to take us to our hotel. Coming back it was ok there service arrived to take us back to the airport, I want a refund on our arrival. I have called BookIt several times and they will not refund the money, so I am writing to you to see if you can resolve it. Our booking number was ID **. We have booked with them the last 4 years but if this is how they treat customers I will not be travelling with them again.

    Grand Oasis Cancun - I requested a ocean view double bed but got an ocean view king bed. There were not any slippers or bathrobes nor was there an upgraded mini bar as the description said. I paid a different price for this and it was not included so you may as well just get a regular room. When I called about it, I was told they would get back with me and never did. The drinks are horribly watered down. We bought some liquor from the airport, thank goodness??? The drinks were ok watered down but I like better liquor so bring your own or drink 10x more than usual.

    The restaurants were good but you got to put your name down hours early for dinner. I ate at the Mexican and seafood restaurant which were really good. The breakfast buffet was good, omelettes were the best part but the dinner buffet was not good. Not enough choices. The late night or after hour food spot is horrible???     I booked a room in Florida with BookIt.com, paid for the room online and was given a confirmation number. When I got to Florida I was told there was no room and I was booked in a cheaper room at a older resort and not given a refund or credit of any kind. Tried to resolve this with bookit for over a month now with absolutely no success. They count on people just giving up and I have. Their customer service representative don't really understand what you are saying because most of them don't really speak English. Beware of this company because their confirmation number means zero.

    My wife back in October 2017 booked a flight and hotel package. We were multiply billed 4 times by an agent of BookIt that cost us over $2000 for a trip that was supposed to have been $823. I advise you if you value your financial security don't use this company. They don't use citizens speaking English and once they get th your banking information they will screw you. We will never use them. Not even for a free flight or hotel, trust me.

    UPDATED ON 12/26/2017: My fiance and I booked airline flights with BookIt and ASL hotels and was multiply billed on our bank card two extra flights and hotel for almost $1800 back in October 2016. We only received a small portion and we still owed more than $1100. 4 weeks we've gone back and forth from BookIt to American Airlines back to BookIt. BookIt doesn't seem to know what happened. American Airlines doesn't seem to know what happened but we find out that the reservation numbers that was paid for on another person's name and we will never book it with crooked again.

    And what's worse is the original agent knew he was doing a multiple bill back when we first book but BookIt told us that he a mistake and that the added charges would be immediately reversed which they were not. It seemed he intentionally bought extra times and as we did our research we found out that the tickets that were bought in the US around his leg had other people's names on the tickets and not ours and now no one seems to be able to find the money connected to those tickets and we spent which turns out to be a good commission for him.

Overall, I'm happy with our reservation, but I do believe they need to update some of the details behind their deals. Most of family friendly resorts in Cancun offer some sort of "Kids Stay Free" deal. We liked the reviews for the Royalton and loved the room with the swim-up pool. All the l rooms options had "Kids Stay Free" option advertised, but once I was finalizing the reservation, it was charging me for both my kids. I had to call bookit.com twice, for them to tell me the only room I could book was the family suite - Diamond Club for the kids to be free.     After entering all information for online booking, I clicked on the bar to confirm my booking. I received a screen stating there were errors in my booking and asked me to try again, which I did.     As a consumer I believe it is for a company such as BookIt to respond and attend to customers' valid complaints of careless mistreatment and unfair business practices. After reaching out to a BookIt service agent and providing the specifics about their contracted taxi service leaving my family without proper notification while in the driveway, in front of the vehicle and having acknowledged we were the customers. As I was to aboard the taxi moving my babies from the stroller I was told by the valet working for Azul Five Resort in Playa Mujeres Mx, then speaking to the taxi, both outside the vehicle, to go to the lobby and remove my bracelet. He said he would load the luggage and that the taxi would wait. Don't worry he said. Both the driver and the valet were standing next to each other.

    Never was I told that he would leave once I turned around leaving us without the prepaid transportation we had arranged. We had to wait and pay additional transportation and go through the stress of running through the airport halls to avoid missing our flight. I was advised by the resort manager to contact the BookIt company and provide the details of the experience. When I called and requested a refund for the unused portion of the prepaid service I was merely given a notation of arrival and departure taxi time without acknowledging the situation in which my family as consumers had been subjected to.

    They noted the taxi waited 10 minutes which is actually false for again we met our taxi not more than five minutes after our scheduled pickup time. We met, he spoke to my husband, he saw me and my babies go do what the valet had instructed me to do did. He did not give me a word of advice that he would leave once I turned around. I was left in denial as I saw the taxi leaving!! I have a great deal of expectation when I contract services through an agency such as BookIt and I feel that they have not taken into consideration my customer complaint. This was not a no show situation. The taxi did not wait ten minutes... We showed up. We're told our luggage would be loaded and the taxi left.

    It's more about customer service appreciation and respect. It's about the neglect the company has shown to have for the experience undergone while using their service. Their lack of customer service and diligence in observing the ill demeanor in which we were treated is of revolting nature. As a consumer I feel it's my obligation to denounce bad business ethics so that maybe companies such as these that boast about great reviews take note and better their consumer complaint notices.

I was searching for Riviera Maya Hotels, it was for El Sid Marina Hotel in another part of MX.     The website is laid out fairly well compared to other sites and the deals seem fair. However when trying to book expect LONG waits and numerous transfers with the MOST obnoxious and pungent music known to mankind. The people we talked to were rude and at one point we were "disconnected" after being on the phone for nearly 3 hours. In the background of several service agents we could hear people yelling and kids screaming which was a bit unprofessional in my opinion.

    Also, most of the service agents we talked to were absolutely clueless about common questions regarding the booking/travel process. I think Bookit would greatly benefit from more representative training and filtration of its employees. The prices are arbitrary even when booking on the same phone call for 2 separate parties. After booking the first, and handing the phone off to the second we were informed that the price had "changed". Very disappointed in Bookit customer service.

    On October 14th, 2017 I booked 1 room for two (02) at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana on BookIt. At first I thought that I had received a great rate until my cousin who would be rooming with me told me she got a better rate on Expedia. I called BookIt on Sunday, October 15th to cancel my booking the previous day. When I spoke to a customer representative named Najeem who asked me whether I knew that there was a cancellation fee and I said, "Yes, $25 dollars." He then corrected me and noted that it was per person to which I confirmed after review the cancellation policy that it would be $50. I then asked, so what was the initial fee of $5 that was charged to my account, and he just said it was non-refundable. I had chosen the delayed payment plan which was supposed to be debited for the first payment on 10/17/17.

    After confirming that the cancellation would be $50, the customer representative sent me a confirmation email shortly after hanging up. Upon reviewing the cancellation email, I noticed that the cancellation charge was for $75 and not $50. I immediately called back BookIt and was told that the additional $25 was a "manual fee" that I may not have been aware of. I responded, "It's not that I was not aware of it, it was not noted anywhere or at any time during my booking, therefore that makes it fraudulent." He then asked me to hold so he could speak to a supervisor.

    After what seemed like 10mins on hold, the customer rep returned and informed me that his manager said, "Since I was not aware of this additional charge they would be refunding me this amount-$25. I then requested that he send me a new revised cancellation confirmation for only $50 which he agreed he would do. I have yet to received that email. Before hanging up and did inform the customer rep. that I will be contacting my bank to dispute this fraudulent charge which I did. I was told to monitor the account and if a credit is not issued within the 7 day period that the customer rep. told me I should see the credit of $25, I will be moving forward to file a dispute form. I will NEVER use BookIt again and will be advising my friends and relative not to use their services!!!

    This company will keep finding ways to pull more and more money from you. When I first booked with them I did it over the phone. The lady gave me a quote and the call “dropped”. I called back and within 5 minutes of my original quote the price had gone up $150, and they would not honor the original quote given just minutes before. Then after I booked it, and used the payment plan they offer (DON'T USE!!!) one of my automatic payments didn’t go through for some reason. I had already paid most of my trip at this point, but they never called or emailed me to tell me my automatic payment didn’t go through. Instead they CANCELED my trip without even telling me!! And then told me they could re-book it for me but I would now have to pay a higher rate. This company seems very sketchy and I do not recommend them to anyone!

    What a disappointment! We booked our resort thru BookIt.com to go to Majestic Mirage All Inclusive Resort in Punta Cana in June 2017 to travel in August 2017. There are six of us going for a girlfriend's 40th birthday. My husband and I arrive first, and we are taken into a holding room instead of check in. We notice there are several upset people in this room. They sit us down and proceed to tell us that they are overbooked and will be sending us to another resort.

    We are a little disappointed, however, we don't really have much choice. They take our drivers license and passports and leave us sitting for about 15 mins. I get up and ask one of the hotel staff in the room why we weren't notified of this before now seeing we booked with BookIt.com over two months before traveling. They told us that was a Bookit.com issue and we would be helped as soon as someone was free.

    While we were waiting for someone to assist us the room started to get more crowded and the emotions in the room began to rise. There were approximately 100 people in there at that time. The rest of our party arrived and they were greeted by resort staff telling them the same things. No rooms and we would be transferred to another resort.

    Well obviously everyone in our party asked questions about the other resort. Wanting to know the accommodations, pool, beachside etc. Just normal questions you would ask since you have no idea about the other hotel you are about to be staying 6 nights in. NO one wanted to answer our direct questions. We asked to speak to a manager and she came about 20 mins later. We wanted to know what really happened. She informed us at that time there were no other rooms available in their sister property and we didn't have a place to stay.

    I told my husband to contact BookIt.com because surely there was something they could do about it. We paid them $1,700 to book us a hotel and we don't have a place to stay now. He then got on the phone and spoke with a customer service rep of BookIt.com and that rep asked a few questions, my husband of course answered. The rep asked to speak to the resort manager, he handed her the phone and she spoke to BookIt.com. She then handed the phone back and we thought we were all good! After a three hour deal... we are finally going to a place to enjoy this perfect vacation we booked.

    Well that was not the case. The BookIt.com rep told my husband that there was nothing they could do. He told my husband to read the "Terms and Conditions" of the reservation he made. While he was on the phone with the rep I read the "Terms and Conditions" and it does say in there that the resort/hotel can accommodate you to another hotel without you due any refund and/or cancellation.

    That wasn't the case here, we didn't have any other means of accommodations. They had so many people they were moving to another hotel that by the time they got back to us they filled all the rooms. They overbooked them self by hundreds of people. It seems very unethical that BookIt.com can take our $1,700 and not provide a room for us for the stay we booked. They wouldn't give us a refund, basically they did nothing to help us.

    You don't send someone to another country and leave them high and dry without accommodations EVER... much less when something was booked two months prior. Horrible experience and will never use them again. Very justified. We were willing to be moved when they had rooms. Needless to say we had to be out more money and find other accommodations on a whim in a very unfamiliar country.

    I made a reservation for a friend through BookIt. She was going to be joining my husband and me at the Bougainvillea Resort in Barbados. Because she got a better deal through JetBlue, I cancelled the reservation I made for her, with the understanding that I would have to pay a $25 cancellation fee. When I received the credit on my Mastercard, I noticed an additional $25 deducted.     Booking online was easy (that was the only positive so far to this site). However when I realized the correct promotional code was not applied, I tried to call the customer service. I waited about 45minutes (called 3 times, 30-45 minutes wait each time), but no one ever answered to assist me. I tried many different options as well. I also reached out by email, no answer/response again. I ended up canceling the initial booking, lost $50 due to cancellation fee. I did rebook with the site using the correct promotional discount code, but I am still out $50 and hours of my time. This is why they get a 2-3 at this time, I just hope I don't run into any problems when I got to check in at the hotel in Feb 2018, knowing that no one will be on the other end to help me out.

    DO NOT use this site to book anything! They reel you in with best prices but in fact it's a huge lie!!! In the end they had sooo many taxes and fees and say it's all included. Then you go to check out of the hotel and you get slapped with additional fees that apparently BookIt didn't actually include in your price. Then you go to rental car and you owe the total price because they didn't include that either. So tell me then, why do you mask yourselves as a package deal if you pay the bare minimum and I'm stuck paying $500 more out of pocket when you advertise a deal for $1,900.00???

    Terrible customer service also!!! I was on hold for 20 minutes before someone answered and when they did, they were from a country with terrible strong accent, did not even try to understand me, just started reading a script. Then puts me on hold for another 10 minutes to look into my booking and gets back to tell me they're not responsible for the extra fees. No thank you never again booking with BOOKIT.COM!!!

    My vacation through BookIt was interrupted by Hurricane Irma. I have travel insurance but the site has been an absolute nightmare to deal with to get documentation. They are also fraudulently withholding my refund that was issue due by the resort. The resort told them to refund me two nights. After I had to call them daily with hours of hold time at a time, they eventually issued me a very small part of the refund.

    More calls to different people and I finally found out that they had applied to my refund a coupon that they say was given to me when I booked. No terms and conditions were ever disclosed on that coupon. And to take away an entire coupon that was against a whole vacation package and apply it to two nights of refund resulting from hurricane evacuation is pure evil. And they are not refunding me the taxes for those two nights. And are ignoring all my contact attempts. They put me in indefinite hold until I hang up after several hours. Horrible fraudulent company.

    After checking in to the Secrets Silversands we got to our room that was supposed to be a full ocean view and we were explained we would walk right out to the ocean. By far it was not as promised. We called the front desk and the lady was arguing with us that it was the correct room we paid for. We called BookIt.com and spent the rest of our first day trying to sort out the room which was never rectified as the manager was eating dinner and they would call us back. The pictures on BookIt.com are not as they seem if you want a beach according to their site go to another hotel, there is none. The rooms are beautiful but the categories BookIt.com describe is false. Ocean view is any room on the 4th floor even if it's a crack between 2 buildings but you pay extra. Think twice before you book with BookIt.com!!!! The 5 star hotel we were promised was More like a 3.

    Booked a room through BookIt for one day and decided to extend where I was staying. Made the small mistake of booking 1 room 1 guest instead of 1 room 2 guest on the second night. Called them after the hotel acknowledged the mishap and it took over an hour to speak to someone. Finally get a representative and explained to them what happened & they refused to fix it. Remind you it doesn't alter the price of the room at all. Just a simple mistake.     Me and my wife are coming up on our 3 year anniversary, so I decided to surprise her with a trip to the Riviera Maya. We were so excited as this is the first time we ever planned a trip. So after setting everything up to make payments I decided to upgrade our room at the resort. I spoke to a lady over the phone for around 1 hr. 1/2 due to waiting for a representative. She told me what my last payment would be and since they were having problem with the system I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. I waited to receive some form of communication for a "Week" before "I" had to call back to figure out why I was being changed $80 more than I was told. Again I spent over an hour on the phone explaining everything that happened as the "new lady" acted as if she couldn't find any notes on the price I was promised. Finally she finds it and tells me I'll be reached in 24 to 48 hrs "again".

    While not 2 or 3, but 4 times I was put though this scenario, into finally I get it fixed over 3 weeks after upgrading the room. "And all it took was 4 phone calls, 3 months, and literally begging them to fix the problem so I could give them my money". And after all of this, not "ONE" person went out of their way to compensate me "ANYTHING" for all our trouble. As a first time customer and not once speaking to management, even though I requested to. I have a hard time believing this company cares about me as a customer.

    I booked a vacation in November of 2016 to visit the Chic resort from September 22nd to the 25th. I arrived in Punta Cana the afternoon of the 22nd and took a bus (provided by Coming2) to Chic. When we got there the guard told the driver that everyone was relocated to the Royalton. I was shocked and embarrassed as the rest of the people on the bus were asking us if we knew prior to flying out. Of course the answer was NO! There was absolutely no communication or notice given of any closing or cancellations!!!

    We were told at the Royalton that Chic had closed on Wednesday the 20th! We did not get Punta Cana until Friday. We could have delayed our trip a week or two until the Resort was back in working condition, HAD WE BEEN NOTIFIED. Instead, we find out when we are on a bus trying to gain access to the Resort. When we arrived at the Royalton they said they could not find us a room because we were not in the system. They told me I needed to have the actual paper saying I had a room confirmation. They said I could not show them the confirmation on my phone. THANK GOD I THOUGHT TO PRINT IT OUT BEFORE I LEFT.

    After I showed the manager a paper copy he made us wait for an hour before we were helped. I asked would we be getting the Diamond Club Membership that we paid for and he said NO. He said all they had to provide was shelter. He said that the Royalton was doing us a favor by housing us and we had to take what they had available. He said we could not have access to the Diamond Club lounge, premium alcohol, or an upgraded room.

    When we finally got a room we had to walk through a complete construction site. There were down trees, falling drywall, flooded hallways, flooded entryways to rooms, the beach was eroded and you could see the roots of trees. The canopies were destroyed and hanging off poles, the pools were dirty and filled with sand and debris, signs were in walkways, restaurants were closed, the theater was flooded, the main building had wires hanging from the ceiling, water buckets and fixtures were everywhere and trash was everywhere.

    We go to our room only for it to be dirty, water entering under our door, the sink was clogged, the bed skirt was dirty, the furniture was dirty, the view was of alley with debris, and it smelled like mold. I paid for a swim out room on the first floor of the Chic, with a bar, Jacuzzi tub, amazing view, no kids and all the upgrades! We called Chic 10 times on the 22nd and they hung up on us every time after saying they don’t speak English. This was my anniversary vacation and I spent the whole first two days crying and trying to find answers!

    I was lied to by Marina ** on the 23rd. She told me I could file a claim and I could go home. There were no flights out of DR until Tuesday and I was leaving Monday. I asked her why didn’t they send out a notice so people at home could postpone and she had NO ANSWER! She said Chic would talk to travel agencies to work out the issues but all I get are emails with generic messages and lies. NO ONE has offered to compensate me for this HORRIBLE situation.

    I spent my entire vacation in a hotel that did not compare or offer me close to what I actually paid for! There was only one pool open, we did not get the exclusive access to Diamond Club Membership, restaurants didn’t open until Sunday, all water excursions were canceled until Monday, the beach was wreck, and there were kids... I paid for an adult RESORT. I didn’t get to even see the Chic! How are you not offering me any compensation for not getting ANYTHING THAT I PAID FOR!! THIS IS THIEVERY and CRIME! I'm tired of getting the runaround and lied to! You are deleting comments on social media and continuously lying.

    Patricia **, Wendy **, Bryan **, Marian **, and Jose ** are all LIARS!!! They have not aided me in this process AT ALL! I have provide pictures and detail after detail with compensation. I was sent an email saying the relocation was in my best interest and safety. I didn't arrive to DR until Friday afternoon!!! I could have pushed my reservations out a week or two. No one knew about the closing until they arrived in Punta Cana.

    Are you more interested in making money than the safety and satisfaction of your guest??? I would think if you were concerned for my safety you would rather me stay in the states than to stay in a hotel that is flooded, has construction going on, falling drywall, down trees, and much more devastation. Clearly you were not thinking of your guests who could have stayed home. As a military member who has only one chance for vacation a year I am completely disgusted at the poor service.

    Booked a flight. Got charged twice and received 2 different booking id. Cancelled second booking immediately. Poof $1400 extra got taken from my account immediately. Called customer service, got put on hold and ended up giving up after sitting on hold for over an hour. Called again, same results. Sent 2 emails, never received a response. My only money is gone and my mortgage payment is due. Not sure what I'm gonna do but I can promise that I will never trust BookIt.com with my bank account info again.

    The BookIt.com representative that we spoke with was really awesome. She called us because there was a problem where it said my card did not go through but when I looked at my bank account the money had been taken out. It was this weird glitch with my ZIP code but she ended up figuring that out plus getting us $50 off of our trip. She fixed everything, put a note in our account saying we were on our honeymoon, and got us our confirmation email we needed which was super important since we were traveling in less than 48 hours from the time we were booking. She was really nice and super helpful and professional. It could have been a really bad night but she made it into a happy one. Now we get to just pack for our honeymoon and know that everything is fine. Thanks BookIt.com customer service!
