    I called in to change the hotel on my booking and was put on long holds, hung up on and addressed unprofessionally. It appears that the level of training is low. The rep was unclear of the charges, couldn’t explain and decreased my level of confidence in the site all together! I will never book again using this website!

    My wife did the booking, I had not heard of BookIt.com so was a bit apprehensive. BookIt.com had the best prices by several hundred dollars. Direct flights to and from MSP; we added ground transportation. Everything was as advertised. Sun Country had everything on file, no issues. The ground transportation was top notch, easy to find the agent at Montego Bay airport. They said it was a 15 min wait and they would find us at the bar, and they did! The resort had our reservation, we checked right away with no delays. Reverse trip was just as smooth. The van driver came right on time and we had a smooth and fast ride back to the airport with plenty of time to go through check in and security. I'll be a return customer. BookIt.com did everything that we could have asked for.

    This was my and my sisters' very first experience planning to travel out of the country, and Bookit has completely ruined the experience for us. I was excited to press the Bookit button on my computer, only to be brought to an error page saying that my flight was booked and nothing else. An agent called me soon after, but this only lead me to believe that it was set up this way on purpose since the site did the same thing to my youngest sister. Since she got hers booked somehow, I continued. SOMEHOW I got charged twice for the hotel accommodations, but the kicker is that the charges were not the same price. How is that? My bank deactivated my account, but not before one charge seemed to be processed.

    The agent insisted that the charges had not gone through and it would fall off my account and I need to book asap to keep the current rate. I ended up transferring money from that account to another account just to pay for my vacation and currently I am still waiting for the charges of $842 to "fall off" my other account. That would be all the money I have at the moment. So, thanks Bookit for Booking up my money, my time, and my experience. I'm beginning to feel that I've been scammed because the same agent did the exact same thing to my older sister the same day!!!

    Website was a bit confusing... as we couldn't find all flight options available so we called instead. The customer service rep on the call was pleasant. She was polite and answered all my questions. The biggest turn off was all the background noise, with other agents talking. So, if you're hard of hearing this could be an issue... BUT the best thing of all was that BOOKIT had what we were looking for and was the cheapest--we compared them to Hotwire, Vacationstogo, and CheapCaribbean.     Pricing information is a bit deceiving since prices are posted per person instead of the standard double occupancy pricing so pay attention! Pricing ended up being more than on other travel websites. Also, some of the information on what is included (meal option) is not clear - listed information made it seem like meal option was only included for adults (not children) even though child was staying for free. I called BookIt and the representative couldn't confirm and asked that I call the hotel directly. Overall, a bit confusing experience for me requiring multiple follow-up calls.

    Grand Sunset Princess was absolutely a joy! From the moment I walked in to the moment we left. The staff is amazing, everyone went above and beyond when servicing us. Check in was fast. The food was great especially the buffet, so many option to choose from. The staff at the bars was awesome, especially the swim up bar. The rooms were petit yet cute. We did a Deluxe suite but the next time I think we will opt for the swim out rooms, those looked awesome. The only thing I would say is to make sure you visit the excursion area behind guest service when you get there because they pick you up as early as 7am so you want to make sure you have all that squared away as early as possible.     Tried to book a resort and after getting an error code, and waiting an inordinate amount of time on the phone for an answer, found out that the rooms were no longer available. I was trying to book with friends and after talking to them, decided to go with the more expensive room. Called BookIt back, gave the error code, told the girl what I wanted to do, she told me she would have to place me on hold for 3 to 5 minutes to do this, and that she would be unable to book the trip insurance. Got off the phone, did it myself online and was able to do it in under a minute. What's up with your customer service department??? Called my friends back, who were booking via the phone and they were still on hold, waiting for their booking to be completed. This is not good!

    Shame on BookIt.com! My account was flagged after I purchased a package deal set up online. Turns out the company made a mistake with their package deal online, me unaware of it selected that package deal. Luckily the 1st representative did admit to the error over the phone while speaking to me, assured me that once the company noticed the error they quickly pulled that it offline. Now BookIt.com has not taken responsibility for their error and are currently asking me, the customer to pay $200+ for transportation since the package deal I selected is a 5hr drive from airport to resort. Instead of them searching for a solution of possibly changing airports by looking for a flight with a similar price, I was told by Veian to work with it and schedule transportation, at that time he quoted me $62.50.

    Now since the activities department was closed he could not book it, I was asked to call the next day and of course when I did they were unaware of what was going on even though Veian told me he would put notes in my account, instead the note read that I the customer agreed to purchase the transportation without the option of canceling. So then I ask to speak with someone in charge and instead I was told that my account would be reviewed and to expect a callback, my vacation is in 12days and this is day two and I’ve heard nothing from the company. And if I cancel I’ll be charged a cancellation fee and of course the flight price is non-refundable! I’ve also unloaded a screenshot of the wait. The 1st representative placed me on hold for 39mins obviously he forgot about me but luckily I got to speak with him since he has been the only one who admitted to the error. Way to go BookIt.com.

    Updated on 03/29/2018: Honestly the worst experience by far, the lack of communication from Bookit.com representatives. Even after several phone calls to the company speaking with different associates and 2 emails the company chose to ignore me as customer. I also asked several times to speak with a superior and only one representative allowed me that the rest just put me on hold and came back only to repeat themselves...

    The supervisor Fay did apologize and acknowledge my multiple calls to the company and offered me a $200 credit towards a future all-inclusive vacation, good for one year however the stress these different representative caused me during a time where I should be relaxing and planning my vacation ruined it for me. And of course I can't cancel without being penalized a fee. Yesterday alone I was back and forth on the phone with the company even after speaking with Fay...the representative who I spoke with next transferred me to the actual transportation company in Costa Rica who only speak Spanish when I asked him to transfer me back to a superior.

    I am not pleased at all with BookIt. I booked my hotel back in February and was trying to do a name change. Biggest mistake of my life. I booked three rooms and got a decent price especially for the two and three year old traveling in the group. With the name change they end up canceling my booking and re book me at a higher price. I was going back and forth for five hours on the phone talking to different people and on hold trying to talk to a supervisor. After wasting all that time still not pleased.     It’s literally been an hour since I booked a trip with Bookit.com. I found an error in the pricing from the Barcelo Website and what Bookit offers. It’s a $600 difference, I called Bookit and asked them to adjust and they refused—even though they have a price guarantee. I then asked them to cancel and they refused. Said I would not get back the $4k I was charged. I’ve had so many issues in the past with this company. Charging me double on my credit card for a trip last year. Took over a month to get it fixed. Avoid this site.

    Updated on 07/16/2018: I wrote previously about dealing with BookIt, but trying to deal with them during check in and the resort management trying to deal with them, was a nightmare. They hung up on me and the manager at the resort three times. When I wrote about this in my review on their site, they edited my review. Said they reserve the right to edit or censor reviews.     We called to cancel our trip to Playa del Carmen scheduled for July due to the US travel warning. We were told by Liang that the full refund would be given and flight vouchers to be used with ANY AIRLINE. He even repeated that yes we can use Spirit, American, United...any airline. It wasn't until I received the email that said only United can be used and that a flight change fee of 200 dollars per person would be charged. If we had been told by Liang that this would happen we wouldn't have cancelled our trip. Also we received an email that very morning that our flight times had been changed which would have made us miss a scheduled event due to a later arrival time. It is a shame that companies such as this one doesn't properly train employees so that we are not penalized like this. Our vacation was already ruined by unrest in the area we were traveling and now we have to pay even more because of misinformation.

    I booked a trip to the Dominican for our 30th anniversary through Bookit.com. The resort that we chose, Majestic Elegance, was great! The excursions and transportations were handled by their DR affiliate BD Travel. We had some little problems with excursions, but nothing compared to the trip home. The agent was over 20 minutes late picking us up for the trip to the airport. We hustled up to the ticket line and when we tried to check our luggage we learned that we missed the cutoff for luggage by three minutes, so we were put on standby around midday on Saturday. The only other flight leaving for Miami that day was full except for one seat, so I told my wife to take that one. The next flight was on Sunday morning, so I had to get transportation and a room for the night in a foreign country.

    On my way to find transportation, I saw the BD Travel counter and went up and explained what had happened and asked if they had any suggestions for spending the night since I was having trouble finding a room. They told me that since their driver was late that they would get me transportation and a room for the night. I said thanks, but I only need a place to sleep for a few hours since I need to be back at the airport at 4:30 am. They told me not to worry because they would take care of it. I was taken to a smaller, fairly newer resort that seemed to have a large BD Travel presence there.

    The next morning I was not allowed to leave this place until I paid them $186. Apparently someone from BD Travel told them that they were not responsible for my situation and I would have to pay, although I did not select the place, agree to a rate or even asked them to cover it. I was very disappointed at being conned and held hostage for payment. I shared this via email with Bookit.com, but have received no response. It appears that they could not care less about what happens to their customers as long as they are paid. If this changes, I will give credit where credit is due, but for now, I am warning travelers to be wary of Bookit.com and stay away from BD Travel for your own protection.

    I called to speak to customer service as I was having difficulty booking a 2nd room to match my Booking ID. The gentleman was rude and very short with his questions. For example, he wanted to know the abbreviation of where we were going. I explained that we had hotel only booking, no flight. He got exasperated and yelled that he still needed an abbreviation (which is not on the booking id). He went onto find the hotel and said it was now $148pp a night and I explained that I could see on my end that it was $110 a night and that is what we paid with our completed booking for 5 night stay.     This Canadian won't use Bookit.com for flights next time! We have a all inclusive vacation booked for April 2018. The price of the vacation was great and the resort appears to be impressive, however time will tell. I am crossing my fingers, that there are no further problems. We are from Canada and booked our trip to Cancun Jan. 1, 2018. Come March 2018 we received notification that our flight via AeroMexico was no longer available and we had to select a different flight option. Initially our flight was scheduled for an arrival time of 4 pm on a Saturday, with one stop. Our new flight options for the same day ended up being a late evening arrival with two stops. For us it is unacceptable to go from one stop, to two, to spend an entire day in an airport rather than at a resort which we paid for.

    After numerous phone calls, many phone disconnections, and over three hours on & off hold, it seemed the Bookit customer service rep. found a flight that would work for us. The flight was leaving early in the morning, but the night before, and arriving about 4pm in Cancun, with one stopover in Mexico City. When my husband questioned the arrival time (it seemed off) he was assured that yes, it was correct, so we confirmed the new flight option over the phone. With that in mind we went ahead and booked an additional night (at an additional expense), at another resort to match the new flight arrival on Friday. Unfortunately, when we finally received the email confirmation it was not what we had discussed. Our correct arrival time in Cancun was about 9pm (very late). Once again, an entire day wasted in airports, and on a plane.

    We expressed our grievance, during ANOTHER phone call, and lengthy wait times, regarding the mix-up and were assured that our issue would get addressed. The rep. explained that she was escalating the call to another department, but that it would take a few days for them to get back to us. After one week, we never received a call, and once again I had to call in myself to see if a resolution had been reached. Once again, I had to explain the situation to someone who didn't not know what is going on, and be put on hold numerous times while they tried to figure out was being done or if they could do anything. This time I am advised that they might be able to provide a credit on the flight and might be able to re-book the flight through another provider, but they wouldn't know for a few days and will get back to me.

    Here we are at week three, and surprise... No phone call, but we did get a flight itinerary option via email. Upon perusal, I see nothing has changed. I start the process all over again... Call in... Hold. Ask the rep. what has changed? Get put on hold again, and... Am told essentially, nothing has changed. To sum things up, I spent all this time trying to get some assistance for a resolution to a flight issue that was no fault of our own. We get to spend an entire day on a plane or airport, incur addition costs for another night's stay at a different all inclusive hotel that we really won't get to utilize. A very disappointing experience.

    Something has got to be done to offer better service under such circumstances. I understand that sometimes flights change, but where is the customer service? I will say to their credit, that the Bookit employees always remained calm and courteous while dealing with us, however from a customer standpoint, it is very frustrating when you have to remain on hold for hours on end, repeat your grievance to numerous individuals, get disconnected numerous times, have to call in again, and repeat the process. In the end you are left feeling like you had been totally taken for granted.

    Why Bookit does not take a client's number at the beginning of a call so clients can talk to the same customer service representative, if needed, I do not know. The clients have to remain on hold anyway, so what difference does it make?? Would that not be offering better service to clients? Anyways, after our experience, we won't be using Bookit for flight service going forward. Crossing fingers that our transfers and hotel experience is good, or I will be posting another review.

    I have purchased vacation packages through Bookit on a number of occasion over the past 6 years. Until now the process was fairly quick, clean and easy. This year March 2018 I was interested in booking a package for a family of 6 (4 flying from Chicago and 2 from Denver) going to Costa Rica and staying at the Riu Guanacaste. As you do with most online reservation you need to select the date of travel, number of travelers, location/destination, return date etc. On this particular afternoon Bookit advertised a sizable discount of $225 per reservation for All Inclusive reservations of 7 days or more. Good news our trip was 8 days and it met all the requirements (I thought).

    When I went to review and pay on the Bookit site it would not allow me to utilize the "special code" to receive the $225 discount so I called Bookit Reservations and was connected with Romero **. Mr. ** was more than willing to what it appeared for the get go to get this miscommunication corrected and to honor the discount. After several minutes on hold and multiple times being put on hold, Mr. ** finally came back and said the issue was that the Riu and Sandals both do not allow for extra discounts and that is why the code would not work.

    I asked him to show me where I could see that considering the landing page which announced the deal had ZERO restrictions not to mention even a statement like "Restrictions Apply". So Mr. ** set out to show me my errors and took me to a back page which highlighted all the restrictions at that particular point in time. Mr. ** then said "see right there Riu doesn't allow discounts". The strange part of that whole conversation was I was not seeing what Mr. ** was so kindly pointing out. There were multiple restrictions listed about this resort or that resort but not a word about Riu. So again I asked about getting the discount and the simple fact that there was nothing mentioned on the public's site about a Riu restriction.

    Here's where it gets good... Mr. ** was obviously coached into not letting me get my way and as I would restate my position. Mr. ** would constantly talk over me and not let me finish my sentences. Then to top it off he finally gave in and admitted I was in fact correct and he was going to "get this mess fixed and somehow honor the discount". He asked if he could call me back within a few minutes with the details of how they were going to honor the $225 x 3 reservations. I said to Mr. ** that I know how this works and I will not hear another word from him and he assured me that Bookit prides itself on providing the very best customer service possible and they strive 100% customer satisfaction and he hung up.

    I waited the rest of that day, waited all weekend constantly checking my phone for a missed call and finally Monday I decided to contact Bookit knowing I am going to have to go over this detail one more time. When I finally got a hold of someone (due to heavier than normal volume wait times will exceed 20 minutes...). I was able to explain my position, dissatisfaction and wanted to register a complaint against Mr. Romero **. Once again they asked if they could call me back.

    Now remember we are in the middle of Spring Break Vacation Scheduling and every couple of minutes the rates and fares were going up. I waited another day and finally connected with Cheap Caribbean and made my reservations. Well as luck would have it Bookit did finally reach out after I had spent $10K with Cheap Caribbean and they offered me the "original" $225 per reservation deal but it was already too late. They also said that someone from Bookit would be in touch to discuss the details of my unfortunate event. I received two calls, one from someone who asked if I was still interested in making a reservation and the second from someone in a department that investigated this type of customer/agent issue.

    She and I played phone tag for a day and based on her tone and sincerity I thought they really wanted to get this resolved and to prevent this from happening again. Well she stopped calling me and I have left 4 messages and made multiple attempts to reach her without leaving messages. Her name is Serena and unfortunately I will categorize her as just another Bookit employee who on the outside provides all the signals that she is there to help but in all reality they hope that customers like me who have a legitimate issue just simply go away. Unfortunately that is not who I am and if you say you're going to fix it then FIX IT! I left Serena another message a day or so ago and said that if I don't get a call back I will utilize the powers of social media to tell my story and that is exactly what I intend to do.

    Based on that experience with Mr. ** condescending and somewhat arrogant attitude and Serena's lack of follow-through I would be hard press to recommend Bookit for any reservation. Now if Bookit would come back to me and assure me that Mr. Romero ** was fired and they would be willing to hold a $675 credit for a future trip then I may consider writing a favorable response and resolution. For now be aware of Bookit and who you are dealing with on the other end of the line because their claim of high standards and complete customer satisfaction is 100% BS!

    I booked a 5 night stay at the Occidental at Xcaret destination. I was paying with 2 different cards. After booking I got a message saying my flights were booked however there was a problem with the booking of the resort stay and told me to call BookIt to fix it. So I called and they said the second card I used was declined. So I login to my account and that card had over $5000 on it. The lady I spoke to told me not to worry. I was putting $2000 on the first card and about $1600 on the second card. She asked for all the passenger's info again and I asked, "Why. It should already be there." She said she doesnt see it. I give her all the info again and tried to charge the card again which it was denied again.

    Okay so I call the bank this morning and try to find out why it was declined. The bank then informed me that I had a 1500 limit a day on that card and was told the Spirit Airlines went through on that card. Well on my first card I was putting 2000 on they already charged me for the airline tickets and a little for the resort. So the lady I spoke to last night made a whole new trip and then tried charging my second card that was denied the first time 1257 for the airline tickets which went through and then tried to charge it again at 1697, 1899 and 2250. The last 3 were denied cause of the spending limit set on that card. Now I have 8 plane tickets only needed 4 and the trip was supposed to be around 3600 and they tried charging 7103 with all those charges and on the first card was already charged 1257 for airline tickets bringing a total of 8360 they tried charging me total. This was a waste of time. I have since gone to someone else as they got it right the first time.

He didn't send any vouchers to support it. When I called back, I was promised a callback with a solution That didn't happen. After waiting a week for a callback, I called and spoke to another agent who summoned the manager who told me that the agent made a mistake and there is nothing he can do except give me a $25.00 voucher toward a future travel outside the United States.     First of all it has not been the best Western in about six years. It was bought out! The room Was dark and smelly. I was sick every time I stayed in the room for more than 10 minutes. I was sick the whole time with runny nose, having a hard time breathing and headaches. The hotel description says they have a private beach and it cost five dollars to get in. But that beach does not exist. They do have a pass to a different beach but it cost $25 but you forget $20 in Food and drink credit. After the first night I wanted to get out of there but I couldn’t reach BookIt. I couldn’t find a phone number to call internationally. The second day I put a do not disturb sign on my door but the housekeeping ignored it anyway and came into my room while I was not there.

    The hotel was so bad that left A day early. I would like to give them a zero star but I’m giving them a one being that they do have a decent restaurant and from Thursday through Saturday they have local singers come and perform. The music was very enjoyable. I would never stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend anyone to stay there. Another issue that I had was the transportation. I call them the night before I was coming home to schedule a ride but they cannot find me in their system and I was on hold for a whole hour while they looked. In the end I just took a taxi back to the airport.

    I paid for 4 all inclusive tickets to DR. We arrived to the airport almost 2 hours early only to be told the flight is already closed. We were stranded at the airport for 3 hours to contact someone at bookit. Then were told that we lost the money and the tickets. Worst thing that ever happened to me. They wouldn't give us back the money or connect us to another flight. Absolute fraud, they overbook people and if you show up after the plane is full you lose. Worst customer service and worst site.

    I booked my flight+hotel package for a 3 night stay from 3/11 to 3/14 for $2600. I wanted to purchase an insurance to make changes in case of price changes or emergency, but could not find it. Now price is $1500 for same package. I'm paying $1100 more for booking early and for the website offering no insurance. Customer service can't do anything. My family vacation experience is going to be overshadowed by the poor service of this website. Is there no one to help?

    We have used BookIt.com several times without a problem, however after saving all year for a trip to Negril, Jamaica and making reservations a couple months ahead of time we were notified 3 days before our trip that the hotel was overbooked. We were relocated to Royalton Blue Waters outside of Montego Bay which is of course not where we wanted to stay otherwise we would have booked there.

    We were upgraded to diamond status and told that when we checked in we would receive a voucher for 3 free nights in Negril. Upon check in they said that they knew nothing about the vouchers and it took me 4 days of constant asking to receive the voucher. During our stay there was a jacuzzi tub in the room which we were unable to use because during our entire stay we had no hot water. Each day I had to make a reservation and take a shower in their hospitality center. If I would have known before 3 days prior to departure I would have cancelled the trip.

    I have been perusing Bookit (and other sites) for several weeks, trying to decide which resort I wanted to visit for my first all inclusive (I'm mainly a cruiser). I had everything completely booked out online and was ready to make the commitment when I got pulled into a meeting at work. Long story short, when I went home last night, I couldn't find the same flights that I had initially picked so I ended up calling Customer Service. I really thought it would be a quick call since I knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, even though I had written down the flight numbers, my CSR was unable to locate them, nor could he confirm that I would get the perks of using my Chase United card when booking. He allowed me to go on to the United site and book my flight separate, then once I gave him the confirmation number, he was able to apply the same room discount, even though I didn't go through the site fully. He was extremely patient with me and most helpful.

    I appreciate the time he took for me, especially when I got frustrated, thinking this was going to be a 10 minute call at best. It ended up being about 4 times that long. The only thing I was not 100% satisfied with was the flight availability - every time I would log in, using the same dates and times, a different default flight would display and the prices were inconsistent. I wish you could save a booking for a specific amount of time, before you lost it. If I were to have had that option, I would not have needed to call in.

When I called back (1 hour later) to correct after seeing error in confirming email, I was told rooms no longer available and I needed to upgrade room category. So due to bookit error, the cost of trip went up over $1,000.
