    Complete Scam and criminal behavior. Rented a van through this company. They had nothing anywhere prior to booking that the company renting the vehicle, Fox Rentals, didn't allow for travel in the majority of states. I was asked once I arrived at Fox to pick up the vehicle if I was traveling out of state. I told them yes, and the clerk said the car is not allowed in the state I was driving to, and promptly said she was canceling the booking. This is clearly deceptive business practices by Booking/Rentalcars. They refused to provide a refund.

    Went to CC company to file a dispute and they sided with Booking/Rentalcars version of the story said the merchant provided Terms of services, which clearly was not the car rental company's terms, nor was this conspicuously pointed out on Booking/Rentalcars website during the booking process. Wasn't mentioned after confirmation. They provided the CC company out-of-context copies of their terms and such and the CC company claimed that once they do Visa and Mastercard mandates they close the dispute. Almost four months later I am still fighting for a refund, which is more than 800 dollars.

    Got sick and had to check out 1 day earlier. Hotel said Booking.com would handle it. Strike 1. Got trapped in a booking.com phone loop scam when trying to call. Strike 2. Had to go to their site and initialize through their support then call to make it work. How many people get hung up on that? Strike 3. Foreign support guy. Strike 4. Said he'll fix it right away. No problem at all. I looked and on my CC the whole charge disappeared. Received email reflecting what the new price is going to be. We'll say it was $700 before and now it's 500 in this email. Well a week later there's a new price of... You guessed it. Max price of $700 all over again. Strike 5. Stuck in a phone loop again. Strike 6. Rude foreign Karen woman. Strike 7. Woman directs me to the original hotel that they should handle it. Strike 8. Direct myself to CC to dispute. Strike 9. You suck.

    The worst customer service EVER! I had to cancel 1 night of a 2 night stay and the hotel agreed to refund the fee on their end and provided a receipt with proof. It has been 100 days and I still have not received my refund from Booking. I've made 6-8 phone calls and spent 4+ hours on the phone trying to get my refund. They say they haven't received it from the hotel and they will call the property while I hold. They return to the call saying the property number is disconnected but refuse to use the number on Booking that I use to call the property and they answer every time. Save the headache and book directly with the hotel of your choice! Booking is a scam and you will be talking to someone overseas when you call. ZERO STARS.

    I was able to book a stay on Booking.com, and the owners of the property improperly setup their posting, and held my reservation hostage and demanded that I book an extra night or they would cancel my reservation. They waited until 10pm the night before the stay was booked to cancel the reservation, and Booking.com did not reply to my complaints, or do anything to make it right. I would stay away from Booking.com and use other platforms that have better customer service.

    I booked a hotel for October in Boston for the Regatta in July through Southwest Airlines, which uses Booking.com. I called the hotel to confirm my reservation. They didn't have it. I called Booking to let them know and they said they called the hotel and I did have a reservation. I called the hotel again and they said I had no reservation. This went on for 4 phone calls until I finally asked Booking to get me the confirmation # from the hotel. It wasn't until I asked for that that she said I did not have a reservation. She said she was going to have to cancel and refund my payment. She sent me a link to more hotels which were 10X more expensive than my original booking. Needless to say, I could not afford to pay the higher prices and had to resort to booking a hotel far away from where I wanted to be and renting a car to get me to the regatta. I would give zero stars but 1 star was the lowest I could rate.

    Absolute ridiculous garbage site. They simultaneously rejected my booking and charged my card. Also, they do not provide a toll-free number to call unless you have a confirmed reservation. The site is obtuse to use and their customer support is non-existent. They have seemingly spent more on their advertising than on their business model. They pay Google enough to have their rates be annoyingly pushed into your face only to not have those advertised rates available on checkout. Bait and switch at its finest. I will never use Booking.com again and if I ever have the opportunity to meet one of their executives I look forward to verbally berating them for wasting so much of my time.

    Disappointed doesn’t even describe it. They stole $380 from me and after several attempts of a call and messaging and speaking to their customer service… they said: “Nothing I can do”. They did not even attempt to help me fix the problem or refund my money. I will never use this app again. Going to Hotels.com.

    I booked a flight. Paid for flexible through booking and I needed to change my flight which was more than 24 hours before. I spoke with someone who was suppose to call me back in a hour because their payment process to pay difference was down. Never called back, never emailed back. So I lost out on that ticket and had to pay for another ticket. I wax a genius customer but I uninstalled the app and will never do business with them again.

    We booked a room through Priceline in April 24, for a one night stay in Sept 24 near the airport in Cozumel, as our flight got in one night before we could check into our resort. Well when we arrived to our hotel after 14 hour travel day we were told that we needed to pay for our room. I explained we already paid at the time I booked the room in April through Priceline. They told me NO I only reserved through booking.com. So I got priceline on the phone and sure enough they 3rd party my hotel to Booking.com. So after another hour on the phone the rude women assured me that I was never charged and I would have to pay that the desk.

    Tired and frustrated I paid the rate which now was way higher so we could get some rest. Returning home 15 days later first thing I pull my credit card statement and sure enough they did charge me in April. So now I'm having to send in all my statements and receipts to booking.com so they can investigate and determine if I was charged. Well long story short they feel that priceline charged me and will not refund me. Priceline won't even acknowledge I booked through them. I would say STAY AWAY FROM BOTH. Side note the hotel was amazing but not worth 140.00 for the 7 hours I was there.

    The customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. While they may appear to listen, their responses often feel like empty promises. The airline has a tendency to cancel flights for what seems like minor scheduling adjustments. They claim the issue will be resolved within a week, but don’t hold your breath waiting for a resolution.

    I booked an apartment through this app for my stay in Los Angeles from August 16 to August 19. To my utter disbelief, when my family and I arrived at the location listed by Booking.com, we were completely ignored. Not a single response from the property. I reached out through text, call, and email—absolute silence. I had traveled all the way from San Francisco, exhausted and expecting a smooth stay, only to be left stranded with no place to go. Imagine the frustration of standing there, with my family in tow, in a city we didn’t know, and receiving no help whatsoever from the property.

    It took ages to finally connect with Booking.com’s customer service, and after waiting in desperation, a representative told me that my only option was to cancel and find another place to stay. I was furious. At that point, I had no trust left in this app, so I refused to book anything further through them. The representative filed a complaint for me, informing me I would have to wait 14 business days for any sort of refund.

    Well, here I am, nearly two months later, and I’m still waiting. I’ve followed up multiple times, only to be told that the refund is delayed because they can’t reach the property. Really? Booking.com has tried to contact this unresponsive property, I’ve tried, yet this nightmare of a place continues to ghost us all. At this point, it’s clear to me: this property is either a scam or simply doesn’t exist.

    And what’s worse—Booking.com has proven to be powerless in resolving this issue or protecting its customers. Instead of taking responsibility, they keep sending the same robotic emails, claiming they still need more time to get a response from the property. It’s been two months—how long does it take? I will never book through this app again. If you’re looking for low-cost accommodations, do yourself a favor and go with Airbnb. If you want a reliable hotel, try Hotels.com. But whatever you do, steer clear of Booking.com unless you enjoy being abandoned in a strange city and chasing a refund that may never come.

    We booked an hotel, Teoria Paros - Matsas Windmill, in Paros, Greece that looked very nice online on Booking.com. We arrived at the hotel. The first room not as advertised - small room, no balcony, and not maintained very well (even cracks in the walls). There were also many mosquitoes around the room and courtyard. We were offered another room and when I looked at bathroom shower and tested it, it was very unsafe for my wife and I at 69 years old. No shower curtain in small bathroom and water went all over the bathroom, toilet area, sink and by entrance to the bathroom. Bathroom floor was underwater and slick and my wife has Osteoporosis. If she were to fall, bones would break and it would be a disaster. I wiped up the floor and told them we wanted to cancel, we weren’t staying. They said they will not offer us a refund.

    There were 6 rooms booked for our group. Two others did not have shower curtains and did not receive them during their stay. Another room was missing light bulbs and did not receive them during their stay. Another couple did not stay in the same rooms we were offered and were able to get a refund and leave. Hotel would not cancel our reservation and issue a refund. They would not answer when Booking.com called, even though they were in the office. I returned their key and checked into another hotel.

    We would like Booking.com to issue a refund since the hotel told us no. Booking.com will not issue a refund despite repeated follow up and told us our only recourse is through the hotel. A disaster hotel even though the reviews were good. Poor maintenance, an unsafe environment and false advertising and no one cares. Don’t book this hotel or use Booking.com. I never will again.

    I have been scammed by a company GOROOMGO in India. I used Booking.com to book an accommodation which does not exist. It's a scam run in India. I contacted Booking.com many times. Gave them proof of the scam such as my bank statement and my WhatsApp chat history with GOROOMGO. But booking.com did nothing to stop this scam. I was never refunded by booking.com. GOROOMGO is still listing with booking.com. GOROOMGO is a scam, they do not have any property. Once you do book with them they will ask you to make an advance payment. Once you do the advance payment, they will just disappear. Booking.com is supporting such scammer as they are getting share of it. Avoid booking.com at all cost. Will never make any kind of booking with them in future.

    To whom it may concern, I want to inform you that I will be letting everyone that Booking.com will not stand by their service. I have had a terrible experience dealing with your customer service and the property that was listed on your contracted site. I WILL NEVER TRUST BOOKING.COM AGAIN!!!! Below is the description as to what has led to this conclusion. I have attached a link to the listing and a copy of what it was actually like.

    Southern-inn-manchester DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This was the most disgusting place that I have ever seen in my life. It was a "TRAP" house. Moldy, Smoke filled, Bug infested, Dirty room (just look at all the other reviews). The door knob looked as if someone tried to break into the room. It looked like drug dealers were out in the parking lot. The gas station attendant next door said this place has had a lot of criminal activity. If we had stayed, I am sure that if my wife would have had medical emergency (can't breath, she needs oxygen) or we would have been robbed!!! I booked this place using Booking.Com while on the road and didn't check the reviews assuming that Booking.com had done their job in vetting. I WILL NEVER TRUST BOOKING.COM AGAIN!!!! I am very disgusted in your services!!!!!

    I would like everyone to know that I booked two rooms for a family wedding. 1 for me and the other for my parents. I did unfortunately purchase a non refundable booking however my parents very quickly got sick, ended up in hospital due to "Covid" flu. I called right away, asked for just their room be canceled and was told I needed to contact the Holiday Inn and ask them to send the email approving the cancelation back to them and it would be done. However no such email was ever sent or received by Holiday Inn.

    I spent hours on phone with both holiday Inn who by the way said to me willing to accept the cancelation, but couldn't do anything since I made reservation thru booking.com. I even had both the rep from booking.com and the manager of the holiday Inn on the phone together, still not able to get the so called email from booking.com. In the end Booking.com charged us full price for both rooms 850.00 unbelievable.! My parents' hospitalization was out of my control, all asked for was not to be charged for their room.. Totally disgusted and will never book with them again!!

    I rented a car through Booking.com on May 5th 2024. It is September 27th now. For 5 months, I have been waiting for the rental company pays my deposit back. I have contacted booking.com, each time they asked a proof from me that shows deposit is not paid. Each time they made me wait for 28 days. If you are going developing countries, do not use booking.com because they are not checking what is happening.

    Booking.com offered a free taxi from the airport to the accommodation. It was one of the reasons I booked with them. However, once I booked, they failed to send me the link to arrange my taxi. I tried for 6 weeks to get them to constructively respond to multiple messages and sent them a screenshot of their offer which clearly stated an offer of a free taxi with the accommodation. I even called them a couple of days before my trip reminding them about my upcoming check in date. Each message, email and call was promptly followed customer service notice advising that the matter was under review. How can something like this take 6 weeks? It was like banging my head against a wall. Unfortunately, the booking was final and I couldn’t cancel without forfeiting the cost of accommodation. They finally approved the free taxi after the vacation. They are so stupid! Worst customer service ever. I’m never booking with them again!!

    I reserved a room back in Aug. 2024. I then realized I had booked too large of a room. I cancelled the room, and rebooked, all online. Two days before using the booking, I called to cancel the booking because I would be staying two days longer on my vacation, and rebook for another date. I was told the room had been canceled, so I rebooked for another day. I was charged for the booking I thought was canceled because the girl saw the booking I had cancelled, and NEVER canceled the booking I was calling about. I was charged $90.55 for THEIR mistake!! How do you prove you called and cancelled?? They are crooks. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!

    Booking.com deserves their one-star review average. Do not use this company! An EconoLodge where I stayed charged me as a no-show on a different reservation they say I made through booking.com, I never made this reservation. EconoLodge gave the reservation number, but (surprise!) neither the booking.com web site or their UK Customer service number 011 44 20 3320 2600 will respond without a PIN. I have no PIN and cannot figure out how to get one. TOTAL SCAM!!

    Complaint Regarding Canceled Reservation and Poor Customer Service. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about my recent experience with Booking.com. Several months after booking a property for my family reunion in December, my reservation was unexpectedly canceled. Since then, I’ve had extreme difficulty finding a comparable place within the same price range, given how close the reunion date is.

    Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, Booking.com has failed to provide a comparable replacement, nor have you honored your promise to cover the difference for the alternatives I’ve found. During my conversations with customer service, I was kept on the phone for several hours, only for the call to be abruptly hung up—twice. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, instead of addressing my concerns, I was offered a mere €25 credit, which is completely inadequate given the situation. What is even more frustrating is that there is no clear, direct number for U.S. customers. I had to write an email just to request a number, and I was charged when I tried to call the U.K. number listed.

    This whole ordeal has been incredibly frustrating for my family and me, and it’s been a terrible experience from start to finish. Had I known this would be the result, I would have booked the same place through Airbnb for the same price. However, because I have an account with Booking.com and am a Genius member, I trusted that your platform would provide a reliable service. Unfortunately, this has been nothing but a huge disappointment and a waste of time. Now, finding an alternative property is going to cost me much more. I want to warn anyone planning a vacation or any other stay to reconsider using Booking.com. This company is not reputable or reliable, and the customer service is abysmal. I hope my complaint is taken seriously, and I expect a resolution that is fair given the circumstances. If I can give a ZERO I would.

    Booking.com customer service is non-existent. Our flight was cancelled due to weather, so we tried to make a date change with our hotel (Sorry, but you have to contact Booking.com), ok... Booking.com would not give an option to alter dates or a Rep via chat. So I had to DIG online to even find a phone# (888) 850-3958 to reach them (nowhere on their site). 15min wait to reach a rep and all they could do was adjust date, but nothing to inquire on adjust price (Expedia handles EVERYTHING). Booking.com was a little cheaper so I figured I'd try it... NEVER again!!! I learned my lesson EXPEDIA!!!

    I booked a hotel in another state through Booking.com. Mind you it was a non refundable booking. After I hit book I realized I put the wrong date for it. I get it. My fault there. I tried to change the date, wasn't going to cancel. It won't let you do that. It said nothing available for that date. And no they would not refund me. I booked the same hotel with a different website with the correct date. There should be a little leeway when booking.

    Be very careful if you cancel your reservation and are due a refund. I cancelled a reservation that had a 48 hour cancellation policy. I cancelled 3 months ahead of time, well within the 48 hour time frame. I never received my refund for the one nights stay. I have tried to call but there is no way to reach a person. I had to finally put in a dispute with my credit card company. I will never use their service again. They have awful customer service and this is cheating the consumer.

    I flew into Charlotte and booked here. After I completed my room and payment information the form said "almost done". Something like that. Soon as I clicked finish booking "non-refundable" popped up on the page!! I ended up staying elsewhere because they didn't have an airport shuttle! They are robbing Americans. This company from the Netherlands in Amsterdam!

    Booking.com Failed to Vet Fraudulent Vendor – Extremely Disappointing Experience. I recently had a terrible experience using Booking.com, and I’m deeply disappointed with how they handled the situation. I booked a property through their platform, expecting a smooth and secure process. Instead, I was defrauded by a vendor that Booking.com failed to vet properly. Upon arriving at the property, I discovered that the listing was completely fraudulent, leaving me stranded and out of pocket for the money I had already paid. What’s most frustrating is that I trusted Booking.com to ensure that their vendors are legitimate and provide safe accommodations. However, they clearly did not do enough to protect me as a customer. When I reached out to their customer service, the response was slow, and the resolution offered was inadequate.

    I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities, as I believe Booking.com could be held accountable for facilitating fraud through their failure to properly screen vendors. If you’re thinking about booking through this platform, beware. You might not be as protected as you think. I strongly advise against using Booking.com unless they seriously improve their vetting process for vendors and take responsibility for these kinds of incidents.

    If you have to cancel a flight well in advance due to an emergency, Booking.com will do everything they can to make sure you don't get a credit or a refund. The customer service is there to tell you no in different ways according to their scripts. They don't listen to what you have to say and don't care. I told the supervisor the airline told me to call them, later she said call the airline. She was not listening and didn't care. Booking.com is a terrible company that will cost you money.

Then booking.com refuses to refund you in full even after the hotel promises and issues refund. Dozens of communications with booking.com and no refund.     As a third-party site, I booked a one-night stay at a hotel property. When circumstances changed and I did not need to travel, the hotel and Booking.com made it VERY HARD to cancel the reservation. A total of two (2) hours on the phone and online to cancel!     Do not ever use Booking.com. I had a booking with them when and went with my family to the hotel. The rooms they gave us were very terribly smelling bad and the beds were bowed in the middle. I asked the front desk to change my room but they refused. By saying “rooms are assigned by Booking.com and they cannot change them”. I asked Booking.com to refund my money but they told me to work it out with the hotel, but the hotel refused to refund my money. Then I went back and told Booking.com the situation…they refund to refund my money as well. The name of the hotel that I booked is called “Girasole Apartments”. Please don’t use them. You will regret. I end up booking somewhere else and lost all of my money that I used to book my stay via Booking.com. I’m leaving this review because I don’t want anyone else to suffer my pain!

    This is the worst platform to book on or try to Market your property on. Their customer service truly sucks. Their technology seems to be dated from the 19th century era. I have tried for more than 2 months. They list a beautiful beachfront property that is popular on other platform such as Airbnb and VRBO unsuccessfully because of their difficult verification system. It is definitely not worthwhile trying to book on this platform.

    Booking.com is a nightmare. I booked a hotel room, and proceeded to cancel it through booking.com, as well as calling the hotel itself and making sure it was cancelled. The hotel told me they would not charge my card as it's not on file, but booking.com charged me and won't allow me a refund because I need to "contact the hotel" which I have, multiple times, but someone they managed to refund me $15 of the $141 they owe me. They are avoiding me and refusing to refund me the total for my stay. I've seen hundreds of horrible reviews for booking.com, all of which have similar situations to my own. I don't recommend this website.

    I recently booked a stay at a hotel in Atlanta that was advertised as a "safe place to stay" by Booking.com, but I was extremely disappointed to find it situated in the middle of a homeless encampment and surrounded by drug activity. To make matters worse, when I sought a refund, the hotel returned my money to Booking.com, yet I never received it back. This experience felt like theft, and I find the company’s practices utterly unethical. I would not recommend using their services.

    I booked a room with Booking.com and accidentally selected the incorrect dates. I sent a request to change the dates and they did not get it fixed. The hotel told me to cancel my reservation and rebook Since my date was coming up and they could not get it corrected. The Hotel manager said booking.com would call them to confirm the reservation cancellation was OK and they would approve it.

    Booking.com sent a message that the company could not receive because they change management. I called Booking.com and asked them to call the hotel so they could approve the cancellation, they said they needed written confirmation. While I was at the hotel, the assistant manager spoke to Booking.com on the phone and approved the cancellation but the representative at Booking.com said he needed her to respond to an email. He sent the email to a person who no longer worked at the hotel. He refused to send the assistant manager an email to her email so she could approve it since she could not access the person's email that no longer work there, at this point I have paid for the hotel room twice. I feel like Booking.com just wanted to keep my money instead of working with me to solve the problem. From this point on I would book directly from the hotel as Booking.com is definitely a scam. They will not help you if you have an issue.

    I have used them before and it always allowed me to pay at the motel when I checked in but this time it charged me when I booked the room. Less than 24 hrs later I needed to cancel the booking I had made for a month away only to be charged the full amount. The hurdles to get through to customer service were ridiculous and when I finally did they hung up on me. I guess I'm out the money but rest assured I will never use or recommend them again.

    I used to utilize Booking.com for several trips, but recently needed to communicate with Customer Service regarding a cancellation. The booking was not refundable, but I contacted the property directly per Booking.com's advice and the property agreed to process a refund so long as Booking.com representatives called them to process.

    I called and messaged on several different occasions, and Booking.com said they would connect with the property but then went completely silent on me. I mentioned that no contact was initiated and, if they continued to ignore, I would dispute with my credit card company, which I ended up following through with. They argued the dispute. If they had made a simple phone call, this would have been fine. Per their argument they "act solely as an intermediary between customer and accommodation", which is obviously not the case. I will be booking direct through hotels from now on.

    If I could give negative stars this site would get as many negative as there are, run, do not engage in business with them. We booked a hotel based on the advertisement of an airport shuttle. One month away from traveling we called to inquire about shuttle times, and were told there is no shuttle, never was. So we asked for a refund, got nothing. Filed a fraudulent claim with Visa due to false advertising, and their response was, "We are merely a booking site and aren't responsible for false claims," even though it was on their site. So I got screwed, I'm telling everyone my experience. Hope this place goes under. Watch out, there are so many negative reviews, they probably opened another site in a different name.

    SCAMMED by Booking.com. We were scammed by a listing on Booking.com last week. A rental was posted by Luxe Pittsburgh at the Elliot Hotel/Mansion in Highland Park, PA. The unit was uninhabitable. It looked like a bomb had gone off inside the unit. Another couple arrived at the Elliot while we were trying to check-in. They had booked using VRBO - and turns out it was also for a phantom unit.

    Talked with a Booking.com service rep who was not helpful at all - claimed no responsibility for the listing and no financial responsibility as well. Hung up on me when I asked to speak to her supervisor. The listing is still up on the Booking.com site - ??? Luxe Pittsburgh has never responded to me and we had to get our refund through my credit card company. Reported this to the Pittsburgh police who are actively investigating. We were not the first to be scammed. Will never use booking.com again.

    Booked a room in Bar Harbor, ME for 4 days at the Hampton Inn. On the Booking.com website there was a place to make special requests of the hotel. I made a request for a balcony room. A day or so later I received a response from the hotel via Booking.com which said that they could accommodate that at no additional charge. Checked into the hotel and the room they gave me had no balcony. I showed them the message assuring me that they'd accommodate that request. They said that response didn't come from them, but from Booking.com. On the email, it states that Booking.com doesn't generate responses but only acts as a go-between hotels and guests. What a lie! Do not use this company!

    We booked a one-night hotel stay with Booking.com in April 2024 to attend a concert in September. We paid for the room up front and received an emailed receipt from booking.com. When we arrived at hour hotel in September, the clerk told us the payment provided by booking.com (not our credit card) had been declined. We were forced to pay for the room again. We contacted booking.com customer service and have provided them with our bank statement showing we paid them for the room in April as well as the receipt we received from the hotel when we had to pay for the room a second time. So far we have communicated with 4 different customer service agents via email. Each one asks us for the aforementioned documents again. This is clearly fraud. They are apparently hoping we will get tired of dealing with them and go away. Booking.com? More like Booking.fraud.

    I booked 4 nights with Booking.com. in 2 different cities while traveling in FL. They charged my card for 5 nights! I went back and forth with them to get my money back for 3 weeks! Their customer service is a joke. In the end, they used the excuse that I had canceled a night, and that particular night was non-refundable when the website clearly said it was refundable as I had canceled 2 nights prior to the stay! It was clearly their error, but they wouldn't budge. They were right and even with proof the customer was wrong! This Cost me $179.00. They are not based in the USA, but the Netherlands. Use Priceline or someone else, cause these people are very CROOKED!!

    I would avoid this company. The customer service number they list on the web does not work. It is almost impossible to talk to anyone. They changed our accommodation location due to a maintenance issue. Their guarantee is same or better and that is what the booking owner told us. It was not. We called immediately and talked to customer service on I think because we were overseas. We were told they would refund us due to the circumstances we encountered. They did not. I am STILL waiting to speak to someone. GO book via another agency. Run far away from Booking.com

    I'd give them a 0 star if possible. 3 months after being told I would be receiving a refund, the company continues to pawn me off on calling the property myself. The property is saying they already refunded. No way of confirming that of course. However, I booked through Booking.com trusting their company would have proper places to stay. The place was full of mold and the room smelled as though a smoker have lived there for years. There was even black and red mold in the shower. Completely unacceptable.     Used Booking to reserve hotel in Florida for 5 nights. The place was so dirty and full of mold I only stayed the first night. My friend was told by Booking I would get my refund for the 4 nights I canceled. Never happened! They said read the fine print. They are not responsible.     Genius Level 3 loyal Booking.com user with 60 some bookings since I joined and I will never use them again all thanks to my last stay. Mouse poop in the bed of our stay. The color green because it has eaten poison. Pictures sent to host and booking.com support. Plus there were insect crawling around in this basement suite. But it’s how it was handled after by both booking.com and host. The host kept saying the had not spoken to the owner yet. And then two weeks later they need pictures sent, again. Sent.

    Now it’s 3 weeks out from stay, and this time a booking.com agent says, "We will give them few more days and if the host doesn’t then we will just refund the stay." Another 10 days and finally get an email that the host won’t refund anything. Probably 'cause I have a bad review to host because they did not resolve matter in timely fashion. And booking.com then says they’ll give my $67 back of the $447 /night stay. This is ridiculous! No hotel or airbnb would ever do this. If booking.com can’t stand by their properties and hosts assuring satisfaction, then I’ll find a new platform. They’ve lost a loyal customer!

    I purchased insurance for flight changes and had to change flights. Their phone number didn't exist so I used chat and they disconnected 3 times. Each time I followed the link after being disconnected it took me back to Booking.com without customer service response. I was unable to to change my flights and in essence lost my opportunity to fly. My insurance is not being honored because they never sent me a policy number. I have used booking.com for many years without issues. This is the worst ever in any reservation site I have used. Booking.com is done due to my experience.     If I could give them no stars I would. I’ve been a customer for years now, and have had decent experiences with booking hotels, flights and car rentals. That being said I've never have to make any changes until now. Their customer service is atrocious, you can’t teach anyone by phone or email, only through the app chat feature. Due to the impending Air Canada strike our trip plans had to be postponed however good luck to anyone who has to cancel or make any changes to existing reservations. I've spent days trying to resolve with zero success and let me add this is a business class fare with a refundable ticket. They are scam artists that lack an ethical business structure.     I would give this ZERO stars if I could. AWFUL service - you cannot connect with anyone unless you call out of the country and they will not assist properly when you request help through email. Asked to reschedule a trip due to the fact that my husband was hospitalized and even though I simply wanted to reschedule they refused to assist and said they could not refund. I did not ask for a refund, just a reschedule. I was told they were checking with the property and I confirmed other dates were open only to receive a message that they would not allow a refund.     Booking.com does not have a system to keep you advised of flight scheduling changes. As a result we had to buy 2 new tickets at the airport for a later flight after checking in 3 hours before a 1:40pm flight which had left at 9am that morning. BOOK YOUR TICKETS DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE!! THEY HAVE YOUR CONTACT INFO AND WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED!!

    Other passengers on the flight we eventually took had received notifications from the airline 20 days ahead of time and were able to adjust their schedules.     This the second time I used this company for transportation to and from the airport. When filling out the form I gave them the exact time and flight numbers. The pick up from the Lima Peru airport was correct and had no issues BUT the pick up time from the hotel to the airport was changed by someone from 8:30pm to 12:00N. I didn't make the change and I noticed the mistake and called Booking.com to get it corrected only to be told I wasn't within 24 hours and they couldn't do anything to help me. I won't ever used them for taxi service again. Also note that I tired to file a complaint and I was never connected to do so. Weird because all of the other components worked except this. Ummmmm.

    I’ve been using Booking.com for about 6 months and I am now regretting it. They put us in a hotel that was under renovation and should never have been recommended. When I got there the room was in a bad condition and flooring was in such poor condition. The sheets were stained and towels dirty and the place smelled foul. The guy at the hotel said he would give us full refund since we decided not to stay and said Booking.com will have the refund to us in next couple of days. That did not happen and I contacted booking.com and they are claiming that they are waiting on the hotel to give the full refund. So something fishy is definitely going on. We should have to wait for the refund, we booked through booking.com and should be refunded by them.

    I somehow wound up on this site trying to book directly to a hotel I stay at! They took almost 100 out of my account for a 70 dollar room. I called immediately to cancel. Was told my refund would take 7 days. Almost a month later hearing it’s been expedited to the manager every week when I call to see where my money is!! Friday will be a month, and I just called this morning and again “It’s been expedited to the management.“ This is ridiculous!! I could not imagine when my employees mess up a guest's check then having to wait for almost a month!! Never AGAIN!!!!! Then in the meantime, they gave me a voucher, in which I tried to use.     Ended moving to another hotel. Booking.com did not honor the cancellation policy. Charged me the two days on my reservation even when I didn't stay at this hotel, not even one night. Put a dispute with my credit card, and Booking.com didn't reimburse the extra day I was charged even when the hotel agreed to charge the one night only, per the published cancellation policy. The hotel agreed to reimburse me, And after several calls (lasting more than 1hr each) Booking.com customer care told me will reimburse me the extra night, but never happen. Airbnb from now on.

    One of the most difficult booking sites to use. Needed to change a room at a B&B from upstairs to downstairs. 1st really hard to find a phone number to contact as there is not one on their website. 2nd the wait time, no matter what dept you want to speak to, is 20 min minimum wait. I guess they think you will hang up. They ask you to send an email but they do not respond - only the property responds and they tell you, you have to go through Booking.com. which like I said is difficult to get hold of. Will never use them again as they are not convenient. I'm done with 3rd party booking sites especially this one.

    I will never use them again. I'll give you the Cliff's notes. There was an upgrade offered. When I tried to accept it, I kept getting error messages. I finally found a customer service number and called them. They could not see the offer on their end. They told me to email a screens and someone would get back to me at a later time. I declined as my trip is just over a week away. I said I would email them right then. I did. They got the email but claimed there was no screenshot attached. There was. I emailed it eight times. I finally asked for a supervisor (I was on the phone with them 50 minutes by this time).

    The supervisor emailed me and had me reply with the screenshot. I did. Again, they claimed there was no screenshot. We went back and forth and she finally admitted that it was actually an issue on their end. Because they were unable to get the screenshot, through no fault of my own, they can't honor their offer. They were matter factly and quite rude about it. As a customer, you have no rights with them. They will do what they want. You don't matter, and they don't care. Heed all the reviews telling you to stay away from this booking engine! Never again.

    I have used, Priceline, VRBO, Airbnb, hotels.com and many more and have never had an experience like this. I made a reservation with Booking.com for a resort in Costa Rica. After several attempts of contacting the resort from me and booking.com with no response. I decided to not risk it and cancel the reservation so I would not be stuck in Costa Rica Without a place to stay. Booking.com refused to cancel the reservation and said I would have to go to Costa rica and call them once I am there for them to find another place for 11 people to stay for the same amount of money I would pay for the resort we actually wanted. There has to be some type of protection we have against companies like this. I would never use this company again and would warn others from using this as well.

    Terrible! I book a room at Airbnb on 530 Boyd Ave. Winnipeg. I went there and the room was not clean. I arrived earlier so I understood. The host said a cleaner will be there soon. The cleaner showed up around 6 pm the check-in. Supposed to be at noon. Something that did not happen. Asked me if I was checking out. I said NO. I was a check-in and Supposed to be at noon. No vacuum the carpet. Only put garbage out and put a box sheet on the mattress and a comfort sheet at the end of the bed. I asked where is the key? We'll NO key. I left early in the morning before 8. Taking the more valuable items and left my suitcase. I come back after 7 pm and the room is open. Some other belongings are in the closet. Not mine. TV on and I asked to the host. Sent messages never answered. I was not feeling safe staying there.

    Called a cab and took my things and I am in a hotel. I paid at booking for 4 days from September 5th to the 9th. I spent a scary night the 5th and the 6th. Left when I saw that someone else was in my suite. Now the Host is sending me messages at 6 am saying that he does not understand. I asked him, "How come on the 5th and 6th you never answered my messages now on the 7th you are starting sending messages at 6 am." I am not happy and asked for my money back. Something that I am still waiting for Booking.com to get back to me because the host from 530 Boyd is just acting up. Tired of talking to him. I have all the messages that I sent and barely his response to them. I want my refund back I had to take a cab and go to a hotel when I already paid for 4 days on 530 Boyd Ave. In Winnipeg. It's called Arena Inn, in Berlin, and it had no customer service, no elevator working, poor conditions at breakfast and they locked all doors from their lobby. There was no light outside of the hotel, making it very unsafe, and the staircase needs to be approached from the outside unlighted street corner. This was the most frightening experience I've had in international travel. The hotel refused to cancel the rest of my stay, and pushed me off to change with Booking. I contacted Booking by phone, via German number, via English number and via messaging. I have made twelve attempts over the period of several days.

    The Booking.com robot replied online that they will get back to me within 24 hours, and they NEVER did, to this day. I ended up leaving the hotel, and still being charged. Booking is a criminal organization that collects the money, provides no service, and doesn't hold anyone accountable. This would be unpleasant if I was in different situation, but I was traveling alone, first time in Berlin, and the hotel was a scary hole, and Booking.com and Arena Inn did not provide the services they promised in Terms and Conditions, and have stolen my money. I hope someone who has more financial capability will sue them! And Arena Hotel, for that matter!

    I set a reservation and they sent their cancellation policy, which would only allow canceling before getting to the property. When I got to the property lock on the front door and the lock in between rooms was broken and I told management. They did not have an extra room. So I opted not to stay as there were stolen things from the property that made the property. Less safe. It's been over a month and I still have not Received my money back. Trying to fight Booking dot com and Motel 6 get my money back. But they are being very, very difficult.

    The room was unsafe for occupying, and they still charged me for the one night at Motel Six. Booking has been holding the rest of my money and told me that I could get my money back if I paid them a hundred and twelve dollars. Never use these guys as they will rip you off, and everybody is out of country so good luck. Also, when I was talking to customer service about getting a refund. The woman on the phone was laughing at me and making fun of me. She also would not let me speak with a manager. One of the worst experiences I've had in my entire life.

    Updated on 09/20/202: I’ve called booking and the hotel 8 times each, everyday after my trip and I’ve accepted that booking is stealing my money or trying there very hardest to keep most of it. And the Best Western Kirkwood in St Louis will continue to NOT communicate with THEIR third party booking partner. They’re both thieves for all I care. I have also filed a complaint and tried to email their CEO.

    Original review: I reserved two nights stay at a Best Western in St. Louis. When we got to the hotel, they had multiple amenities unavailable, so we asked if they would waive our cancellation fee and refund us the room to transfer to a sister best western. The hotel was more than willing and jumped on it and transferred us immediately. Booking.com is where things went south.

    I was on the phone with customer service on a personal vacation trip for two hours. Trying to communicate what the hotel had told me and confirmed with me more than once that they were going to completely refund me. Booking.com is making it extremely difficult and making it seem like I need to do the communication between the hotel and Booking.com instead of communicating with each other. Seemed very unprofessional telling me that I “need to have the hotel email booking.com or have the hotel call booking.com” when I don’t understand why booking wouldn’t just call the hotel or email the hotel themselves. Not only was I expecting the refund to come quickly but it’s becoming a long drawn out torture of back-and-forth between booking and the hotel who just is doing the best they can. I just want a refund for the hotel I didn’t stay in, that’s all.

    I booked an accommodation over a month in advance. It was not a pleasure trip, it was to take my daughter to university, which is already a stressful experience. 12 HOURS before my reservation, the property canceled my reservation. I called the property, and they assured me that Booking.com would find me alternate accommodations at no extra charge, they would get a hold of me when they made the new reservations. After half an hour, I called them because I hadn't heard anything. The 866 number requires the booking number and PIN number. I entered it 10 times, and it just kept circling back asking me to enter my booking number. I did this for half an hour. I tried messaging on the "chat" function, and I use that term loosely. The "chat" is I send a message, and within 24 hours, someone will get back to me with a scripted response. I checked my email.

    I received an email from Booking.com, saying that since I hadn't accepted their alternative, that I was on my own to find somewhere to stay, but they would give me $89.51 towards my new stay. It was the Friday before the last long weekend of the summer. I ended up paying over $200 more now that I was in a desperate situation. I booked through Travelocity, and there was no problem. I submitted my invoice to Booking.com as requested by them, to get the $89.51. That wasn't acceptable, because it said the total, and then PAID, but didn't show a 0 balance. So then they needed the credit card transaction as proof. So I sent that. It wasn't sufficient because it doesn't say WHAT the stay was (dates, times, etc). I was finally able to contact customer service with my booking number that magically worked now. Spoke to several people, all were nice. Not helpful at all.

    Every time, they would repeat the same thing, that I need to have an invoice with 0 balance, even if that's not available. The property is unable to provide, since I paid the third party. The third party has invoices that say PAID, which have never been a problem for anyone, but are not sufficient now. I was just on the phone for 1 hour and 22 minutes. I spoke to Helen, zero help. I spoke to her "supervisor" Miriam, zero help. It's up to me, to find an invoice with a balance of 0. Or I can give them my complete credit card statement, saying that I charged the amount, and that I paid the amount to the credit card company.

    This cannot be how businesses actually run. I have never experienced such a run around for 89.51 in my life. I cannot express how much I recommend NOT using them, for anything, ever. There is no corporate contact information. There is no customer service line, other than the one that you need a booking number for. I have Facebook messaged, I have emailed, I have chatted, I have called. And there is still no resolution, and nobody willing to actually help me with their mistake.

    I was sent a refund by a hotel I cancelled the reservation at. Since August 10th Booking agents have told me a variety of items "needed" to release my refund. The hotel refunded the card August 12th. Booking informed me my refund would come in 10-14 days as of August 16th. I called 9/3/24. They stated there was no money on the card to refund me. I have proof from the hotel of the refund the 12th. I have been hung up on multiple times, accused of my name not matching my reservation and overall poor customer service. I would never recommend the use of this site for any travel needs. They have "lost" my $464 refund.

    Very bad experience. Our family of four—two adults and two children—booked an executive suite at The Sutton Place Hotel in Halifax for three nights at $1,400. The description said the unit has three beds (pls see the attached pics), but when we arrived, there were only two beds. I complained to the hotel, saying that they gave us the wrong room, but they said their executive suite only has two beds and that it was Booking.com that provided the wrong information. The room didn't even have the green sofa shown in the pictures. I then asked the hotel about the current price of my suite, and they told me it’s $425 per night, so three nights would be $1,275. But I’ve been charged $1,400.

    They will take your money for clerical errors....no grace! I accidentally clicked the wrong dates and called within 15 minutes of this mistake. They just give you the run around and put you on hold for 45 minutes at a time. I called several times....same results....nothing. Rip off!! I still had to pay for the room.     Booking.com is an absolute disgrace! My wife and I recently made a reservation through them to stay at Hotel Lloret in Barcelona for the weekend of August 16th, 2024 (Reservation #**). After flying all the way from the USA to Spain, we arrived at the hotel only to be told that our reservation was *cancelled*. Yes, CANCELLED! We were literally left stranded on the streets of Barcelona!

    I spent FOUR hours trying to get help from both Booking.com and Hotel Lloret, but neither took any responsibility or provided any solution. Booking.com had the audacity to claim that *I* had cancelled the reservation – despite the fact that I had PAID IN FULL! Their customer service rep, Angel, told me that this was the first time he had ever seen something like this, where a client books, pays, cancels (supposedly), and then shows up at the hotel. He went so far as to claim that Booking.com's system was *hacked* and that my reservation was cancelled automatically the day after I paid for it. Are you kidding me? As for Hotel Lloret, they were thrilled to pocket my money without offering any service whatsoever. I guess this is how things are done in Barcelona – they’re happy to take your money and leave you on the streets. It’s shameful how they treat tourists!

    Both Booking.com and Hotel Lloret completely washed their hands of the situation, leaving us abandoned with nowhere to stay on our first night. I even asked Booking.com for proof – forensic digital evidence – that I supposedly cancelled the reservation, and of course, they *refused* to provide it. It’s clear they are just after your money and don’t care about offering any real service. Complete fiasco. This was the worst experience of my life, and I will NEVER use Booking.com again. I highly advise everyone to stay far, far away from this company if you value your time, money, and sanity. They are completely unreliable and will leave you high and dry when you need them the most!

    The worst company ever dealt with. Do not use the company. Stay away. My wife booked a flight for the family in March to depart to Florida. The flight was canceled by the airline and never received a call or email notifying us of the cancellation, we found out by chance about the cancelation 2 weeks before departure when our friend tried to book for the same flight. We asked for a refund since the flight was cancelled and still, until today not received a refund, and every time we call we get a different excuse about the delay. One time the excuse was the ticket was not refundable. Keep in mind the airline canceled the flight. Not us and when I called the airline directly the answer was that we refunded to Booking.com the money.

    I booked a hotel in Istanbul through Booking.com. Soon after arrival I realized the area was not safe. I cancelled the 2 out of three nights right away as I was already late to cancel the first night. I called them right away and they assured that they will refund the two nights after cancellation. Then there were multiple emails back and forth asking the same information. I called them again when I returned to US. After putting me on hold for one hr they simply hanged up. I wrote again to them but got no response. To date I haven’t heard back from them and no refund for the stay. I have opened the case with my bank.

    I booked two flights with Bookings.com with flight insurance. My wife had to cancel her trip and when trying to get a refund or credit I’ve received an endless run around. I posted a complaint on their Facebook page and their customer support team reached out and had me use an app to supposedly get a refund. Only now they’ve attempted to charge my card for another $180 dollars by some outfit in Kenya. Their support is clearly a scam. Do not give them any credit card info. Human error on my behalf, yes but come on man they'll go through extreme lengths so you can't talk to a live agent to expedite and correct the issue. Neither the site or the property. They kept saying they would take care of it and escalate it. Fast forward 2 weeks later they are stating that to cancel I will have to pay a cancellation fee. I so frustrated going back and forth over email. It clearly states on Singapore Airlines website and their own website that cancellation within 24 hours is refundable. I will have to go through Amex to get this resolved. 0 stars. Will never use this site again. For reference, I used Expedia to book another leg of this trip and all I had to do was click the cancel button and I instantly got my refund. What a joke this site is.

    I was victim of a bait and switch during a stay in Indianapolis during the month of May. I'd booked an appointment through Booking.com for 12 nights. When I called the property manager upon arrival, as instructed in the confirmation email from Booking.com, I was told that my reservation had not been received. However, remarkably, the property manager advised that he had another unit, for 50% more than my original reservation, that just so happened to be available for the same number of nights. Booking.com was no help whatsoever; no customer service at all. The property owner was even worse, refusing to provide even his name. Beware. Don't ever trust anyone at Booking.com.

    PLEASE READ!!! DO NOT use Booking.com when traveling. I reserved a hotel and they had hidden fees that I found out about after I pay and got the confirmation number. I called them twice and after 27 min and 25 min calls they hang up on me and a supervisor was never available. I recommend checking directly with the hotel or Priceline which I had never experienced any difficulties at all.     If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I booked a hotel in McAllen, TX, for a single night through Booking.com, only to find out that the reservation was never made. Despite calling ahead to confirm, I was shocked to discover that my room had not been reserved. I requested to speak with the hotel manager, but ended up having to contact Booking.com myself to resolve the issue. That call cost me $158 since it was out-of-state, adding to my frustration, and I never got that money back.

    Booking.com assured me the problem was fixed, so I trusted them. However, when I arrived at the hotel with my bags, I was told there was no reservation under my name. Furious and unwilling to waste even more money, I walked out and ended up staying in a random, cheap motel. Between the wasted phone call and having to find last-minute accommodation, I spent more money than I should have, with no resolution or compensation from Booking.com.

    Booking.com adds no value and in fact cost me quite a bit. They twice cancelled a non-refundable reservation without my requesting it. The first time we were able to get it reinstated so we would at least still have the reservation. The second time it was erroneously cancelled, we were put into a cycle where nothing occurred. We then had to cancel our trip at the last moment AND have to pay for it.

    Customer service hold times were long and the customer service folks, although perfectly nice, were not at all helpful and would only tell us what we already knew. I asked that it be escalated and the agent then hung up. I have now paid for a hotel room we cannot use, cancelled a family Labor Day weekend plan day-of, and spent hours on the phone trying to resolve it. Do not use booking.com. Book directly with the property.

    Booked a room and cancelled well within the time frame. Was notified cancelled without a fee. Hotel still charged my card as a no show. Called the hotel. They said they didn't get notification from Booking.com that I cancelled. Called booking.com. They said yes they cancelled and are emailing proof to the hotel and that I would have to wait up to 15 days for a refund. Completely ridiculous.... I am now at five days.. No refund... Unacceptable.     I booked the hotel in Mexico for 3 adults and 9 years old kid. (I mentioned his age.) When we arrived I was told that child was booked as 0 years old and you have to pay for his stay $1200 additionally! Then after negotiations they let us pay $400 for him to stay. It took 3 hours without welcome, water and everyone where very rood (Grand Sunset Princess of Playa Del Carmen Hotel). BUT receptionist told that they have always that problem with booking.com child's age doesn't count correctly and all parents have to pay additional money upon arrival! Nobody does anything about it! Booking.com customer service behaved like they didn't understand the problem. After explanations at least 8 times what happened I've got a message "Sorry we can't cancel you trip because it is non refundable!!!!" NEVER BOOK with them!

    On your quote you did not itemize my taxes and fees. Adjacent to where they were posted you described a $150 damage deposit that was fully refundable. Your receipt was set up to intentionally hide your fees that were even more expensive than a single night at the hotel I had chosen.     I booked a hotel with Booking.com. Two days in I had to block the maid from illegally entering my room. Her claim was smell of cigarettes. The cigarette was literally in my hand as I blocked the door from her entering. After she walked away waited for me to walk away used a main key and entered the room with my naked husband. Upon talking with them I was told she didn't understand the word NO. I assumed it was over. I did contact booking.com upon incident. I requested every supervisor to sniff my room the only one who would was the maintenance man. Which he said it smelled better than it normally does. The Normal smell upon check in is a chemical burning smell. I sprayed carpet cleaner the first day and covered the blood stained bed with my sheets and blood stained chair.

    I had to bleach bathroom, and blood stains on the walls. This place is a crack hotel. I was there to sleep and that's it. After checking out I filmed the room and had maintenance come sniff it. Because I wanted my deposit back. They refuse to give me my deposit claiming room smells like smoke. I've contacted booking.com for 5 days now and they have not even told me screw off. Now it's my bank arguing with them. Because I dk what else to do. Be wary when booking with booking.com

    We made a reservation via BOOKING.COM for the Stone Mountain Manor hotel in Metro Atlanta. Shortly before the reunion was to take place, and weeks after we made the reservation, I received a call from the property informing me that part of our reservation was canceled because another party had booked a large number of rooms and their time frame overlapped our reservation so we were canceled. With others also booking rooms for the reunion by now the other hotels at Stone Mountain were booked and we now must stay some distance away from the reunion venue. I have never had this happen to me when using any other travel site. Go somewhere else to make your reservations as the vendors at this site are not dependable.

    If I could give Booking.com a -1 star I will. They run a scam at Booking.com & direct you to 1st name 3rd parties instead of refunding or getting another place. I saw an apartment in Milan, Pagano Grancini 6 City Life Apartments & paid for 4-days, 2-bed/bath for my family vacation. Then I got a msg from a “Pagano” who said a “Nico” guy will contact me. The Nico guy requesting our PASSPORTS 8 DAYS before arrival from my husband. I called him to explain the risk. He refused! The US passport is property of the state dept. We said we will present it on arrival but he wanted a copy. The hostility & suspicious request made me cancel a whole week before arrival. We had not even left the US before the hostility began. They refused to return my money upon cancellation.

    I wasn’t sure we had a place again so I booked a hotel chain & told them to return my money. I got $0 refund. Guess what, on arrival in Milan from Zurich, my bank notified me & my husband of fraudulent withdrawal attempts (they blocked it) on our cards. Nothing like that happened in Zurich where we stayed in a hotel chain. I suspect it has to do with the 3rd parties of Booking.com in this case. Why refer me to folks who go by their 1st name when you are the merchant that I gave my credit card to?. They have zero customer service. This is the 2nd time they have defrauded me. We bought 2 resort tickets to Antigua in January 2023 only to get there & be told there was only one booking!

    We paid extra on the spot & I did not have the energy to fight nor did I roam my phone to incur AT&T bills calling them. They rarely resolve issues leaving you on hold for an hour sometimes. There is always a new victim so why bother. If you are in Milan & you see Pagano Grancini City Life 6 Apartments with 2 guys going by Nico & Pagano, AVOID them. They are scammers who defrauded me of my money AFTER a week of cancellation notice due to their suspicious request. Who will stay in an apartment after hostile exchanges due to refusal to provide my Passport for possible Identity scam?

    In my 35 years of international travel, nobody requests your passport ahead of arrival, even border agencies and TSA check it only when you get to them at the airport! Well upon arrival from Zurich, our cards were still scammed & the bank had to close the cards due to fraud. I disputed the charge & hope Visa will give me my money as I did not stay in their suspicious WiFi environment and gave enough notice. Booking.com is a Netherlands based company with Zero customer service & empathy.

They take your money out of your account and they do not pay the third-party so you will have to pay again at the hotel and it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks for them to refund your money if they ever answer your call. This happened the last time. I cannot get them to refund my money.

    In last few years, it has become hit and miss. Lately I have booked non-existent properties, properties with deceptive amenities, double booking, etc. Strangely, the site side with scammer and provide little or no relieve to its own customers. There is no vetting process, and scammers create new listings with new names, and Booking.com is completely oblivious of it. There are better, customer oriented and responsible sites out there, no reason to go booking.com.

    Never book with this page. They’ve had me going in circles to get my money back. I made a reservation and when I arrived they told me that I had no reservation. I had to pay out of pocket then and there. They don’t want to refund me and I’m still being charged through Klarna. When I asked them to speak to a manager at Booking.com, they told me to place a complaint I could email them. I’ve been emailing them before and absolutely no one answers. Don’t waste your money with these people. They just want to take your money.

    Booking.com does NOT INVESTIGATE PROPERTIES OR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING HEALTH HAZARDOUS PLACES. My family and I booked "Tower Road Central Siliema Modern Apartments and Duplex Penthouse by Shortlets Malta" from another country. Upon arrival, the front door was wide open, there was garbage piled out front. Moreover, there was fecal matter in the hallway. This was just the beginning. The promised elevator as mentioned in the listing was broken. Note, one of my parents has health conditions so cannot walk up the stairs.

    I walked up five flights of stairs only to realize that the apartment was also disgusting, BED BUG infested, mold in the bathroom, dirty walls and floors. So, I contacted the owner to see if he had another unit in another building that was cleaner with an elevator. I conveyed my grievances. His solution was that WE COULD STAY THE NIGHT IN THE HEALTH HAZARDOUS APARTMENT and then stay at an upgraded place the next three nights only to return to the original apartment.

    TOTALLY IGNORED EVIDENCE OF BED BUGS AND THAT MY DISABLED FATHER COULD NOT WALK UP THE STAIRS. We called Booking.com to convey the situation and they also said that we should stay at the apartment. It's now been four days spending hours on the phone with Booking.com only to find out that they are taking no responsibility and that the owner does not want to refund us 2000 Euros.

    This would be a zero if possible. So we booked travel to the Dominican Republic in Canadian dollars which was quoted and ended up in US dollars so cancelled immediately within allowed time frame - my boyfriend has been battling with very little response and still shorted $8000 US! And he keeps having to fight for any amount of refund. Not okay and have never written a negative review until now, but this is necessary-just don’t trust this company ever. This is a lot of money to not have in your account for NO reason.

    Concert venue near our room was cancelled so tried to get a refund. After 7 attempts and put on hold for 20/30 min no refund. Property gave booking back their refund but we got none. Booking has a system in place where you will not get your refund. They have it down to a fine art. Kept telling us all they needed was just one more signature from the property but then that’s not good enough when you get it. Then they need another signature. Got burnt and learned a hard lesson. Pay direct to the property. This company is a scam artist. Stay away from them!

    Words are insufficient to describe how terrible my experience with Booking.com was. We booked a place in Cavtat, Croatia. Upon arrival, it was not as described. Extremely dirty and broken air-conditioning. We booked a second place using Booking.com. It was a scam and the host demanded cash. We booked a third place, and it was not possible to reach the apartment by taxi. I can't say for sure if it even existed.

    I called Booking.com to explained the problem and get a resolution. They promised a full refund of the third property, and (because the host of the first property promised a partial refund), a partial refund. These refunds never arrived. I called back multiple times. I was hung up on, placed on an endless hold, hung up on again etc. I sent emails that went unanswered. When I finally got a hold of a person, I was told they couldn't issue the refund that was promised without the permission of the host. Then they told me the host hadn't responded to their requests, so I was just out of luck. In the end, they issued a goodwill payment of about 1/5 the cost of the third property. I cannot say this strongly enough: Do not use Booking.com. Some of the properties are scams, and the company takes no personal responsibility for this. Our experience completely ruined our vacation and we returned home, 11 days early.

    Absolutely awful service. I still cannot contact anyone and it is 6pm in Florida. My flight landed last night. I booked through Booking.com for a room at the Ramada who after 4 minutes hung up on and me and left me stranded at Orlando Airport with a flat battery on my phone. I am travelling as a singe female and I had to book another room with another website which were amazing and spend $40 on an uber from the airport. Unnecessary stress that just wasn't needed. will not use again as I cannot even get through to customer services for compensation!!!! Lousy service! 0 stars but you have to click 1!!

    I booked a hotel stay through them almost a month ago. I checked into the hotel, and the front desk said I would need to purchase another room due to the amount of people we had. I opted not to do that because it was just me and my five minor children. I asked the hotel for a refund. He told me that because I booked through a third party, I would have to contact them directly. I called Booking.com that same night. The CSR said that the hotel has to refund them , and then they can refund me. They also said they would contact the manager of the hotel in the morning and ask for the refund. I called booking.com the next day in the late afternoon, and they hadn’t contacted the hotel yet. I’ve been in communication with the hotel manager also. He’s said he’s sent the refund and the documentation to them. However, they say they’ve received nothing on their end.

    I’ve called multiple times, and it’s the same thing. My last interaction with them I requested to speak with a supervisor, and this CSR interrupted multiple times and refused to let me speak with the supervisor. She told me she put it in the notes to have the supervisor return my call. I told her I wasn’t getting off the phone and I would wait for the supervisor to be available. She put me on hold for 10 mins and disconnected the call. No one has ever called me back. I left a review about my experience with their customer service rep, and still no call, nor have I gotten a refund. I’m filing a dispute with my credit card company, because they outright refuse to refund me for a service I didn’t receive.

    I wish I could give this company a negative 5-star. I booked a package for my husband, child, and me. After calling the hotel to confirm my reservations, I was told that my hotel reservation was only for two adults. I was charged for my child the same price as they did for my husband and me. When I called and complained, they stated I would have to pay an additional charge for adding my daughter to the hotel reservation. I then questioned why my daughter was charged the same price as me and my husband if she only had the flight reservation. I have been dealing with it for five days. We are supposed to go on our trip in two days. All the responses I get are that my complaint will be escalated, and I will get an email back with the resolution. A manager was supposed to call me back, but I got no callback.

    Used Booking.com for a hotel reservation. They charge a partial payment to your card and days before your reservation you will get an email saying you need to call to verify the remaining amount. They will then ask you for all your credit card and billing info and also tried to ask for a driver's license and s.i.n. They tell you they already have all your info already. They don’t identify as from booking.com, you “confirm” your info with them and your hotel does get paid but then 2 weeks later your credit card company flags 11 attempts with Uber eats. You have not given your credit card info to anyone, you have not used your credit card for any online purchases. No one else has all your info.

    I knew as soon as I spoke to the circus of scammers that is their customer service that I was worried about the security of my info so I contacted my credit card company who flagged any unusual attempts. They did not get anything from me but I’m worried about anyone that has used them recently. Check your credit card statements if you have. Never ever use them.

    We booked a room for a hotel in Lynchburg, VA on July 12, 2024. We arrived in VA for the booked date on August 8. The hotel had no such booking. We attempted a number of times to contact Booking.com. We received no replies. We had to pay for a room. We received no refund from booking.com as they said the room was non-refundable.     We were to fly home from Detroit to Vancouver on September 04, 2024 but we changed our minds to go home on August 27th. I called the agent to help me out, then he asked me to pay $629 price difference fees, after I made the payment from the provided link, he told me that the itinerary would be sent to me within 2 or 3 hours, and I said I wanted the confirmation right away so I can check in before going to bed, it was just past midnight and the flight was scheduled for 9:00 AM. When I woke up and received the confirmation but the flight was for August 28th. I called them up and they said they would listen to the recording and would refund me if it was his fault. Now we are stranded in Detroit, they haven’t called me still. We have waited to go home and not likely to happen. Hotel cost is very expensive in Detroit. I would recommend everyone to consider Expedia for a better option when buying airplane tickets. I would never buy from this website again.

    Rewards program does not exist. I was 1 purchase away from Genius 2 level. Booked my vacation and after I came back I was never credited. So now I am 1 purchase away AGAIN. They explained that even though I booked on BOOKING they transferred the booking to their sister company PRICELINE so it doesn’t count. If you try and complain you can’t talk to anyone. You need a PIN # which Priceline doesn’t use. You can call and write but they all require a pin. Next I had $77 WALLET bonus. I booked a room that said “Use your wallet to pay”. I did. No $77 credit.     I had the worst experience booking flights with Booking.com. I booked a flight and had to change it, there is no transparency in your ticket conditions and the support is super slow. Live Chat, Phone, Email, all are forwarding you to each other, telling you support for urgent flight matters takes 24-48 hours. One Month later the issue is still not resolved and even if I know now that with my ticket I can get a full refund, booking is not able to support me and actually issue the refund. They owe me 600€ that I'm sure I will not see again. I spent more than 12.000€ in the past year with Booking on Hotels but will now try to avoid it, as I don't support businesses that fool their customers.

    I wanted to change the date for a night. I tried to make the change online, but there was always an error screen. We couldn't find the phone number of the customer service for two hours. Once we found it, we changed the reservation. They sent an email to confirm the date that we were cancelling. Instead, it was to cancel the whole trip. Customer service couldn't reinstate the reservation; I had to rebook at a higher rate. What a shame! I will not be booking with them again; what a hassle.

    We contacted Booking.com to make reservations for 1.5 weeks out, never received a confirmation email or call from booking.com. Then they charged us for the room. Called to get a refund and the representative was rude, did not listen at offer any dose of help. Asked to speak to her supervisor and she refused to get on on the phone. Finally she said she would contact a supervisor. She lofts out lied to us by saying the property charged us. If I could give zero stars I would. My car rental company cancelled my reservation when I arrived in a remote part of Greece and it was not my fault. Booking.com would not refund my money even though it was not my fault. I spoke to the car rental company and they said they did not charge Booking.com and there's no reason I shouldn't get my money back.     My wife was traveling abroad and booked a hotel with Booking.com. She wanted to change the booking. Tried to get in touch with the company in Dubai. Couldn't. In Canada I phoned them but needed the confirmation # and ID#. The ID number was supposed to be on the booking confirmation along with the confirmation number. However it wasn't so I couldn't get to talk to an operator. I finally found out how to email them. They asked me for information. I gave them all the information they requested except for the ID number which I didn't have because they didn't put it on the confirmation they emailed to my wife. They then send me another email saying they can't help me unless I have the ID number. These people are absolutely useless and I will never book with them again for anything.     I called 5-6 times and exchanged messages on app/website regarding one issue. They keep sending me survey if the issue is solved. I keep answering no and explained. They just won't admit it's their problem. I booked 4 day in Toronto, CA on booking. They have a promotion that over $600+ you can get a free taxi from airport to the rental property. After I booked my reservation, I didn't claim the deal because I did not decide if I would rent a car. Three days before my trip, I decided to use public transportation and bike rental as we go. I cannot find any way I can book the free taxi. The promotion is still on their website and on the property's profile page. $600+ and you will get free taxi to the property. It's in the small print said that you have to book 24hour before you check in time to claim the deal. The link should be available in the confirmation email and on the booking details under your account on the website. No, it was not there.

    The email has no mentioning of the deal, neither my booking on the website. I messaged the host, he get back to me the next day, said it's Booking.com promotion, I need to talk to them. When I try to reach bookings.com, it was one day before my trip. It was going back and forth, I wasted a lot of time. I was told they will get back to me and escalate to another group that is in charge of the free taxi. Obviously it did not happen. I called again, still hoped that I can get the free taxi before my trip. They said I reported the issue within 24 hours of the departure, it was too late. I argued that there is no link to claim the deal, I tried a few days ago. It was their technical issue at the beginning. They keep saying the deal expired, no longer available. I showed the email and screenshot of my booking, there is no link to the free taxi booking. The customer service said she will talk the other group. Then never get back to me.

    BUYER BEWARE! THIS IS NOT A GOOD BUSINESS TO DEAL WITH! I had reservations at the Saint hotel in the Florida Keys on 8/3/2024 - 8/5/2024. I booked through this company. I took the Key West express over there. Tropical Debbie had hit the Keys and the Key West Express could not dock per the Coast Guard. We had to turned around and go back to Fort Myers. I emailed Booking.com for my 1,500 refund. I was given the runaround and told the hotel needed to give me my money back., The hotel staff sent me a email and told me they had cancelled my reservation and not charge me any penalty. Try and find a phone number for Booking.Com. It is nearly impossible!

    After searching and searching I found a number and called. The agent (Ion spelling?) was so rude and had a heavy accent that he used in his favor to double talk me. Finally after being on the phone for over an hour he agreed to reimbursement me without penalty. The next day I see 1,500.00 is back in my account but with a 559.00 charge fee that I never authorized or was told about. I have called the number back and asked to speak with the person and was told he would get back with me. He has never responded even after many calls and emails!

    My experience was a massive horrifying disaster. The program advertises in big letters, about how one can cancel hotel reservation until 1 week before the planned stay, and then in tiny letters there is 1 box with non-refundable, which is so easy to miss, and then Booking.com refused to acknowledge this; This despite the fact I canceled my reservation a few minutes after making reservation, as I had reserved incorrect room, and immediately reserved corrected room, but Booking.com is flatly refusing to acknowledge their gross deception.

    The hotel also mentioned to me, that this is not 1st time this happened to a customer. Hotel also tells me they would love to refund me, but Booking.com shan't allow them. Meanwhile Booking.com tells me they would like to refund me, but the hotel won't allow them to. Meanwhile I am the little guy, caught on this, and probably shall have to declare bankruptcy, as we are taking of over $1700 in a genuine innocent mistake.

    I contacted Booking.com about a cancellation at a hotel and was told my refund would be sent in 7 days back on 7/30. I have since been given 2 additional refund dates with no refund. It's been a month. I have 3 refund notification letters but no refund. I have spoken to Hamel, Nathaniel and Judy who hung up after I asked for a supervisor but was told they can't provide that information. I would never use this site.

    We left a motel due to mold on the wooden bed frame. I had booked it through Booking.com due to the price. I reached out to them immediately and it's been 2 weeks of back and forth to get an answer. However they will not refund my stay and offered $19.11 in Incentives to make another booking.     I made a reservation thru book on line. Apparently a BIG mistake. Room rate was $141 then they charged $82.78 for recovery fees and taxes. Then you can’t speak to anyone because the listed number is for new reservations only and they then hang up. So don’t use them as they are not customer oriented and apparently don’t care about return customers.

    In June 2024 I purchased plane tickets for my family and I for a trip to Puerto Rico. My travel plans changed when my Mother who was supposed to travel with us had an interruption in the plans due to an unexpected surgery. I provided proof to Spirit Airlines, Booking.com and XCover Travel Insurance and asked for a refund for my Mother’s ticket and Booking.com has a website designed like a labyrinth with no conclusional support. Same with XCover. You’re just spinned in circles to no resolution. You’re failing your customers and then have the nerve to want us to plan trips through your site or buy the Travel Insurance you offer with empty support!

    I have used Booking.com in the past for hotel reservations and never had an issue. Decided to rent a home instead and it turned out the home was abandoned. Never received information for check-in from property so I called Booking.com and was told I had to drive to the property and call them back. Once there after seeing the awful conditions of the home and sending them pictures was told I had to wait 45 min and call back. After all this was not given a refund and instead was told I had to contact the property who I had tried multiple times without success. Just a nightmare.

    I had a very disappointing experience with Booking.com. While searching for a hotel within a 3-mile radius in Omaha, Nebraska, I booked a hotel that appeared to be within that range. However, I later received an email confirming that the booking was for a hotel in California. Despite having proof that I was in Nebraska, they are refusing to refund me. It seems like this company, based in Europe, doesn’t care about its US customers.

    This is the worst customer service. I don’t recommend anyone booking any hotel with this website, the customer service team is very disrespectful. They hang up on your face, I had two nights booked and I called to cancel the last night and they told me, "You will receive a message in a half hour" and they did not send me anything. When I went to the hotel to check in they told me, "You have two nights booked" so I was like whatever and then the following morning I wake up to the workers in the hotel kicking me out saying that Booking.com has sent them a message that I have to checkout today and the money has been transferred out of my bank account and I called and asked to talk to a specific person and they said they have a meeting which they also said the day before so I explained my situation to someone else.

    They started screaming and hanging up on me more than once. I told them that the money was transferred from my bank account was for two nights. They told me, "Ok you won’t get any refunds." This is absolutely ridiculous and insane. They are disgraceful and rude, I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE BOOKING WITH THEM. Have a good day.

    Booking is a scam with hidden fees and the worst client service ever! They do not care about customers. Do not do business with. Sleep Inn Miami Airport Hotel charged my credit card even after I had cancelled a booking (using the Booking.Com app and sending an email to the hotel) only one hour later and because the hotel had not the transportation service they offered in the announce. Sleep Inn Miami Airport Hotel lied saying that the cancellation is free. Worst thing I spoked with the acting Director Manager and she recognized, received and read my email with the cancellation the same day, but she said that it was Booking's the responsible of the cancellation. Never seen that tricky attitude.

    Terrible company, pathetic “customer support”, that is in quotes because they have no support for customers. Recently booked a car in Italy using Booking.com. Two days before my rental they send me a what you need to pickup your car email. It says clearly, I need my driver's license, my passport and may be required to provide other identification upon checkin. I make sure I have all booking.com says I need and go to the rental counter when my plane lands.

    SicilybyCar refused to rent me the car I booked and had already paid booking.com for because I don’t have a copy of the international driver's license. "What IDL," I ask, "The email doesn’t say anything about that requirement, show me the law," to which they can’t but refuse to rent me the car. They tell me I agreed to their TOS, and I said no I did not, I booked through booking.com website, not them specifically, and booking reserved the car from them. Contacted booking.com who told me that’s too bad, they have a terms of service saying that it’s required, and it’s my fault I don’t? Now I’m out my 580€ and there’s nothing booking.com can do. Do not use them, they have no support, play you like an absolute doll when you contact them.

    Booking is ok until everything is ok and there is no problem, but when problems appear then the problems begin! Email does not work, you can not call them, and contact is very difficult. I booked a hotel with them in Salt Lake City and it did not meet expectations, in the parking lot homeless people and drug addicts were enjoying their "playground" 20 feet from my car, generally they were in the area. I did not stay there, but of course no one will help me solve this problem. It turned out that emails do not work, the money was not returned. I am trying to settle the matter through the bank, but it will be complicated because Booking does not want to give me my money back! After this lesson I will avoid them and similar companies because they are not trustworthy and are not honest!

    We had a flight for two from Toronto to Reagan DC. To add an infant we had to spend 4 hours over 2 days. They still did not add our infant. We had to cancel with Air Canada and rebook for 2K extra with Air Canada with 25$ for infant. Never book with Booking.com.

    Car Rental Reservation: I could give 0 stars I would!!! I didn't get the car nor a refund. Once I arrived before my scheduled pick up time there were no cars available. We were told that all the cars had been rented and we would have rent from another carrier.     I had a terrible experience with Booking.com. I rent a room in Vancouver with booking.com that’s called “Vancouver luxury guest house“. In site they don’t mentioned detailed I have paid as good hotel and it was nonrefundable, when we have review Ed we understand oh my god it has a share bathroom and and every place was divided by curtain and rent to different families. Everybody was in the line for bathroom. In the site they don’t mentioned it has a shared bathroom and when I asked them they, "Why you don’t write details," owner told me, "You are right. We should write details!!!" I have pay for cancellation fee and moved to a very good hotel and the important thing is for a luxury hotel I have paid less than that room.

    My booking showed my room to be on the beach side of the road but it was not. There is an older dingier section across the road. We were put there. When I protested they still wouldn’t change it.     It was hard to even find a number to call & complain about a hotel on their site in the 1st place. I let them know what a mess the Econolodge Inn & Suites Downtown San Antonio Riverwalk Area & how it is the complete opposite of the pictures on their site. Booking.com said they'd try to get my refund by speaking to the hotel manager even though the man had already threatened me and refused to refund my money after only 10 minutes of being there. I will never use Booking.com again. Very disappointed and out $250 on a roach hotel I didn't even stay in. I wish I had taken pictures but I just wanted to get the heck out of that dump.

    I am sorry to say that experience with cancelling AIR TRAVEL has been unacceptable. I spoke to several customer svc people over a 4 day period to get a status of my cancellation since the airline changed the schedule which resulted in a tight connection. Although each of the CS reps I spoke to was very polite, they were all helpless and had one common line: "Sorry we do not know the airline's cancel policy. This has been escalated to our support team to research and we will get back with you". No one got back. I called again and asked for a supervisor. Was informed that he couldn't transfer me to a supervisor but a supervisor would call me within 24 hours. It has been 48 hours--no call. So I am no longer using this company.

    This company is inept and callous. They booked us on a flight back from Barcelona. The airline then advanced the flight time. Subsequently, Booking.com sent us an email confirming the original flight time. As a result we got to the airport three hours before the scheduled flight time only to time out that our flight had just departed. We contact booking.Com for assistance. They performed a disappearing act for us. No assistance, no guidance, no rebooking, even though they acknowledged they made a mistake. THEY ABANDONED US IN BARCELONA AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR US, LEAVING US STRANDED.

    We were finally able to book a flight back to San Francisco by ourselves, we had to pay for it (5 people including a 3 1/2 year old), it had a two hour stop over in Lisbon, and we had to check in at 3 am for a 6 am flight. We spent the whole night in an empty airline terminal together with some others in the same predicament. Booking.Com is irresponsible and will do nothing for you if you have a problem. Better to use a responsible travel agent who'll be there for you. This company stinks.

    Having a really frustrating time with Booking.com Made a booking for 2 adults and 3 kids on booking.com and was confirmed for only 2 adults. I made contacts with the facilty I booked with and they made confirmation this issues usually happens when you book through booking.com. Unfortunately they were not able to assist with adding my kids because we needed a much bigger room and advised I call booking.com to sort the issue. Have spoken to 3 different agents and all seem to have this assumption I made the mistake of just booking for 2 adults even after relaying what the facility told me and one of the agents corroborating they use to have the issue but not anymore. I hope I sort this and not have to go through this again. Would definitely not be using Booking.com for my future bookings.

    Booked a flight for July 28th through Booking.com. When I got to airport they didn't have my booking so I had to purchase another ticket. I have been trying to resolve this and get my refund from you since I returned from Vancouver on July 31st. I cannot get through to anyone anymore and I feel like I'm being dismissed.     This was the first time I bundled my reservations with Booking.com. I had nothing but problems from the get go. My booking did not appear on my app. I tried to contact customer service. That was a bust. I was never able to get in touch with booking.com. All communication on my part was with the individual. What does Booking.com do anyway? All the charges appeared on my credit card as individual charges, one of which was Priceline.com. Is that the same as Bookings.com?When I got to Hertz, the price was way more than expected! I expected to pay an additional amount of $179.20, but Hertz charged me $245.68. Difference of $66.48. I will never use Bookings.com again. Bad communication. Confusing and unclear charges.

    First of all in order to get in touch with anybody you have to call internationally from the USA. Then they placed me on hold after I asked politely not to be placed on hold because I was incurring international cell phone charges. Then they said that they would resolve my situation. However, the next day I received an email saying that they could not resolve. Saying that they could not contact or reach the hotel property that I was having an issue with. I promptly called the hotel and they answered immediately. So basically, they lied and I am out of money because I refuse to call them again. I will never use the site ever again.

    Initially booking seemed flawless... had to change date by a day and hotel would not honor payment and I was made to pay 2 nights although I only stayed one at London Heathrow Holiday Inn... Have been trying to contact Booking.com for 2 weeks to try to get a refund through them or a credit... I keep getting the runaround and asked to speak English...which is mainly what I speak. Send booking information which I have sent multiple times and still TRYING. This company is a joke and customer service is the worst! As an extensive traveler, I will not be using them again!     We booked a hotel in Chicago through booking for the first time. When we got there, the entry and the lobby smells like weed and such. We talked to the front desk person about canceling, he said "we have to call booking and cancel". So we called and we explained the situation. They said we will be able to get a full refund from 7 to 12 days. After 2 weeks, no refund. I called again, they said the hotel will give us half of the money and nothing. We called the hotel to speak to a manager, they are never there.

    We got hold of a manger after a while. He was rude and hung up the phone on us. We called the booking company so many times and nothing had been done. Booking company and their hotels are trash, fraud, scammers and thieves. Don't go through them, they will scam you. Don't trust them. It's easy for them to rob and steal from you, your money. They are doing a great job at it. I read the other reviews afterwards and they're right, they are scammers and thieves.

    Do not ever list your home on Booking.com. Terrible experience. Just moved to a new PMS, so figured I would give them a try. Spent HOURS moving everything over. Got my first booking, but their system is so antiquated and hard to use. (This is saying something as I reluctantly use VRBO which is like it's from the 90s, been a Superhost on Airbnb for 7 years). We got a booking and the amount for the night read as $204 for the night, but then it only charged $19 for the night! I called 3 times, got disconnected each time, sent two email/message threads. HOUR trying to get help. Had the guest end up canceling and now a week later they are finally getting back to me, 1 days before the guest was suppose to arrive. They have been the absolute worst. Now I am jumping thru hoops for over an hour just to terminate the contract. NEVER USE THEM.

    I was in Phoenix, finalizing the sale of my house. With my mom, because she knows WAY more about selling a house than I do. It's my first time doing it. So she said "What's the nearest hotel to your house?" And there is ONE hotel I would NEVER stay in. 27th Ave and Indian School. I searched for a hotel, found one on 27th Ave and Bethany Home, a much better area, and Booking.com gave me the GPS coordinates. I got to where GPS said "You have arrived". There was no hotel there. So I left the app and typed the address in my personal GPS, and guess what? I got stuck staying in the ONE hotel I would never stay at. And it was disgusting, roaches, gunshots outside. Just a nightmare. Never again will I use Booking.com.

    I used Booking.com for a recent trip to Greece and everything went smoothly. So, when it was time to book a hotel to move my daughter into college, I did not hesitate to use booking.com. My hotel room floor was sticky with some bad spills. The hotel did not feel good to me and I wanted to cancel and get a refund. The hotel guided me to contact booking.com to confirm that I would get my refund, if the hotel issued it.

    My first phone call, I was on hold for 20 minutes. They could not find my info based on the numbers PROVIDED BY THEM from my email. When they did locate my reservation, I was told that they would call the hotel, work something out and call me back. I was sitting in the lobby. In a half an hour, the phone never rang. My second phone call, I was on hold for almost 30 minutes. Again, they struggled to find my reservation. Then I was told that their system would not allow them to do anything and to contact the hotel. I will not use booking.com again. They seem to be fine, as long as there are no issues that arise.

    If I could give zero stars I would. I booked a two night stay at Motel 6 through this site and turns out the motel had no available rooms. Motel 6 cannot refund us due to it not being on their site. Booking.com has social media as their only form of communication. The representative told me someone would reach out in 5 days. When no one did I reached back out and now they’re saying since it’s so late since the reservation they can’t do anything. So booking.com steals from you. NEVER book here.

    So, I booked a Hotel in Bishop, CA and in my error I booked a week later then our arrival date. Oops! The booking was made through my Citi card rewards points and I thought, "Great, I'll get a little discount." Booking.com has recently partnered with Citi. On arrival to the Hotel, the Hotel said that they couldn't change the reservation because it was made through Booking.com. I called Booking.com and they said they couldn't reverse it because Citi had control of it. I filled a dispute with Citi and they temporarily reversed the charge only to reverse it again later. Now I am out $550 and neither Citi card nor Booking.com will accept responsibility. Neither will the hotel. I will never book anything again with this scam website, and I will probably cancel my Citi cards as well! Just book through the hotel directly because at least if there is an error you can change it!!!!

    Booking.Incompetence should be the name they adopt. Speaking as a 'Partner' I have to say they are simply the worst booking platform in existence. The Customer Service Team are the epidemy of uselessness. The only thing more useless is Senior Management who refuse to engage with the enormous issue they create. The guest base is problematic with multiple examples of bad behaviour and damage to properties in the last 6 months. Their response was to modify the 'Damage Claim' process to only allow for 'major damage' to be covered. However, even major damage claims take upwards of 3 months to settle with various CSO staff denying that a claim was even made!

    Worst of all, Senior Management, rather than tackle the issue of bad actors on their platform including those using fake names, fake IDs and various other mischief making, are permitted to exist and remain on the platform. "Partners' can't even review guests. Frankly, it's simply a case of garbage in garbage out' as long as Booking.Incompetence keeps taking 18% of the booking fee from Partners they don't give a toss about the problems.

    Tried to cancel my reservation for a hotel 2 weeks prior to scheduled trip because of family emergency. I called them FOUR times. On hold for 20 minutes each attempt. They had me call the property to tell them to respond to the Booking.com email. 4 calls to the property - they never received an email from booking.com and were unable to cancel the reservation from their end. Booking.com kept sending me emails saying I was going to have to pay $522.21 to cancel my reservation which was only $1,045. In total. Impossible to deal with and criminal that they would keep my deposit when the hotel has a full refund with 72 hour cancellation. Do not use them.

    Over the past 7 years, I had many good experiences with Booking.com and a couple that were awful. The first awful one happened during the pandemic so I tossed the problem up to messed up pandemic policies. But last month the company would not redo my invoice when I wanted to extend the dates of a hotel stay. I double paid for the reservation (booked a new one with Booking.com with corrected dates) because I didn't want to be kicked out my hotel room. I had already notified the hotel and showed them that I extended my stay. I was supposed to re-check in at the counter the morning the reservation started. I forgot (because I told them verbally the night before).

    The hotel agent knew that I had made a mistake so cancelled that reservation without penalty and called me on the phone to tell me to try and sort it out quickly and that I could keep my room til the evening. But Booking.com gave me the run around every time I called, plus the hold times are long to talk to customer service. I spent at least 8 hours over 5 weeks calling and emailing and being sent in circles. Now I am contesting the charges with my bank. So frustrating. Booking.com has a great app for finding accommodations but don't book through them. If you have to make any change on your booking, they will do everything to try and keep your money. I wish I had looked online at these terrible reviews for the company before ever using them.

    I booked a hotel through them & they completely messed up my reservation. I made it 4 days before I went, & the day of, the hotel tells me they have no booking for my name. I spent an hour on the phone with the Booking.com team, and no one had any idea how this happened, even though $187 came out of my account. I had to get a refund and book a hotel with another company. Then, because I am in the United States and this company is based in the UK, I got charged $179 on my phone bill for international.

    ⭐ 1/5 **Horrible Experience with Booking.com** I had the worst experience with Booking.com. They took nearly $200 for my deposit and then canceled my reservation without any notice that the remaining balance had to be paid in full before check-in. I spent over an hour on hold trying to pay the balance, only to be disconnected. When I finally got through, they dropped my call again! I sent a message to customer care, and while they acknowledged receiving it, they've yet to respond.

    To make matters worse, Booking.com claimed there were no rooms left, but the property owner confirmed availability. Now I have to book directly through the property at a higher rate, and I'm out nearly $200 for 7-10 days while I wait for a refund. Their business practices are horrible—at least try twice to process the payment before canceling a reservation. The live chat is a joke, filled with auto-responses that don't even match my questions. Thanks to Booking.com, a good portion of our fun money is gone. I’ll never use their service again. **If they can rectify this problem before my check-in tomorrow, I will delete this review.**

    I booked a hotel through Booking.com. The hotel turned out to be unsafe and unsanitary. My family and I left after 15 minutes. I provided pictures to back up my statements. They are now refusing to provide a refund citing the refund has to come from the hotel. The hotel is not providing the refund. Booking.com will not step in and do the right thing. They don't back up or care about their customers.

    Updated on 08/24/2024: Accommodation was absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t get any support from Booking! Today after numerous e-mails sent - I finally got a human! Logan a “supervisor” initially told me I had to pay a “cancellation fee” of $131 to have any monies returned. No one at Booking has ever gotten back to me. My disabled son also had a terrible fall coming out of the shower due to tile floors with NO bath mat! Accommodation refused to return money!

    Original Review: Our accommodations were completely disgusting!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Gave poor rating & Booking.com posted complete opposite! I would think it should not be approved for accommodations. Horrible, horrible place! One fan for whole place. DISGUSTING.

    In March of 2024, I booked a Budget Rental Car through Booking.com to use from April 5th through April 15th. Because I returned the car early, Budget credited the remaining days rental fees to Booking.com. I discovered about July 1st that I had not received the credit. Upon realizing this, I contacted Budget on the phone who confirmed that they sent the refund to Booking.com (about $500 US).

    Throughout the entire month of July I tried on numerous occasions to reach Booking.com about this. They made this very difficult by sending me automated emails instructing me to call them. When I called I could not get through because they required I enter a PIN number, which they did not provide when they sent me the rental confirmation number in March. Because I could not reach them by the phone, I sent several emails per week hoping to get a hold of a human being. At one point, a human being replied by email and said she would help me, but she disappeared.

    I happened to be traveling in Amsterdam the first few days of August, so I went to their corporate headquarters in person. While there, one of their representatives connected me on the phone with another person who promised they would resolve the problem that day. He did not. So, wasting more of my vacation time, I went there a second day. This time, I was put on the phone again with someone who finally started the process of figuring out what happened to my refund.

    A few days after my return home from Amsterdam, I received an email from someone asking for more details. That person did follow up, and the ultimate result is that Booking.com refuses to give me the refund they received from Budget. Booking.com claims that it's clearly spelled out in their contract that if I return the car early I am not entitled to a refund. Granted, it was my responsibility to read the contract. If I had, and if I had understood this provision, I may have canceled the booking. However, I made the mistake of not reading it, because I assumed they would have reasonable terms.

    Furthermore, when I returned the car to Budget I was careful before leaving it to determine whether or not I would be entitled to a refund, because if not, I would have kept it. Two separate Budget employees assured me that I was due a refund. I relied on them assuming that they are familiar with the contract. Based on this experience, if it was possible to give a negative star rating to Booking.com I would. Not only have they not given me my refund, I have invested at least 10 hours of my time chasing this down (including 4 hours in person on those two separate days while on vacation in Amsterdam). The only reason I gave one star is because the people I dealt with were pleasant and wanted to help.

    Two lessons:
    1) Read contracts

    2) Don't use Booking.com

    If needed, I can document all of my claims in this review. Booking.com refuses to give me the money. I discovered this after trying for o connect communicating with them numerous times over 6-weeks. Getting in touch with them online and by phone was impossible. I happened to be in Amsterdam the first part of August, so I went into their headquarters in person on two separate days and finally got a hold of somebody to help me. Estimate that I invested at least 10 hours into communicating with them about this.

    I booked my flight and paid for my seats. Received confirmation from Booking.com that my seats are reserved. However, when I went to the airline website, my seats are not reserved. Booking.com said that my seat selection is declined. I have to reserve another seat and pay for it. Absolutely terrible service when they are booking for an airline and can't get the seats that they confirmed are booked.

    Very disappointing. I am a regular customer of Booking.com and at Genius 3 level. I have been to more than 35 countries and majority of hotels booked through Booking.com. I had a confirmed booking in Vegas along with my brother who underwent a brain surgery few days back. I wanted him to get some rest and spend weekend in Vegas but when I reached the hotel they declined to check in stating that the Booking.com has not updated it. It’s 3:00 am here in Vegas and I am in roads with a patient. Never expected this.

    Reserved a hotel for Sturgis 9 nights. We decided to go back home after 7 nights. We checked out on a Friday. The hotel said it was okay as they were able to book our room to others. Booking.com refused to modify our reservations to 7 nights and made us pay for the entire 9 nights. I even gave them the general managers contact information to call. They didn't call and just said after you checked in reservations can't be modified. I will never book through them again.
